We have completed what you asked and still we are getting calls and threats of collection calls. Our credit score has dropped significantly and caused increase in car insurance rates. As its name implies debt relief is what I got. Although the phone and email boxes continue to buzz knowing I have an outlet to pass the buck (per se) has lifted a lot of pressure off my shoulders. I have only been on the program for a few months. So far, my experience has been good. The counselors in the beginning take your stress away and make you feel that things are going to improve. They do thoroughly explain the program before signing on. I really liked that. When you call in the customer service representatives are very good and make you feel at ease. Some representatives, you can tell, are more people oriented than others, but overall the customer service representatives offer good counseling.

The Freedom Debt Relief program has been very helpful and they are helping me to get back on my feet. I ran into some money issues and could not pay on my debt and since they took over. I have been getting by, which I know it will be a long and difficult trek, but at least I don't have to worry about phone calls from bill collectors and stress over payments. They are very skillful and for me a life saver.

They have been of great help to me in getting my finances straightened out after being on sick leave for three months last year. Freedom Debt Relief was recommended to me by a client. After 7 months of depositing money into an account with them I was slapped with a court order by a credit card company. I was told by them that this credit card company Discover card was known to do that and that I would have to settle with them for the full amount in order to avoid legal action. Subsequently all of the monthly payments that were supposed to go into my account with Freedom Debt Relief went to this one creditor. This then left me with very little money to put in to pay off to other creditors.

Everyone I have come in contact with have been very friendly and helpful. I have not felt alone this whole process. Any questions I have had, have been answered in a timely manner. The legal team were great on acting on my behalf. I would definitely recommend Freedom Debt Relief to friends and family.

This has been a horrific experience! I informed both FDR and NLLG that one of my creditors sent a letter stating that legal action would be taken against me. I was told it was scam. I asked for the creditor to be called and no one would call. Guess what happened... now I owe more money. I have done everything I was told to do. Not sure how this is going to work out. Yes FDR is recommended by the BBB but after this with one of my creditors I would think twice. I'm praying that none of the other creditors do this.

In mid May - I gave FF enough money to pay all of my debt. Only 1 is in negotiation. I also asked to have one company removed, which I still see there. I paid off early so I could clear my credit. Why is it taking so long to get debt free?

It is such a simple procedure for a complicated problem. FDR is a great company and couldn't ask for any better. They are easy to talk with and work with. I signed up today. I am very pleased so far with the service that I received from Tyler and the Federal Relief team. He was very thorough and I am confident that I will be represented well and that I will save a lot of money using their services.

I signed up about a year ago and failed to fully understand what a joke this was. They take a percentage of your debt and slice it up into what they call settlement fees, your settlement fees are paid before they actually pay your debts. You stand a much better chance and a much low settlement rate if you go with a debt settlement lawyer or better yet do it yourself. So instead of being able to pay a credit card company quicker in a year if you settled with the company, you end up paying more over a longer period of time with their settlement fees tacked on. It's much easier to negotiate with the credit card company directly, than with them. Their debt consolidation plan is a joke, that keeps you in debt much longer. My advice, leave as soon as possible. Seek an attorney to help you out with lawsuits or settle the debt yourself with the credit card company.

I clicked on an ad for Freedom Debt Relief last night and put my info in just to see what they might be able to do for me. I was very quickly contacted by Jon **, one of their sales agents ("debt consultants"). He was very friendly and reassuring and spent a lot of time explaining everything and answering my questions. I ended up enrolling in the program. However, after sleeping on it and doing some more research, woke up regretting my decision. I'm not currently behind on payments. I have already closed my accounts and setup hardship payment plans with reduced interest/fees with my credit card companies. The FDR plan would save me about $200 a month, BUT in the process it would have trashed my credit (my credit isn't great but it's better than it would be if I stopped making payments) and been at a high risk of being sued.

In general, Freedom Debt Relief is not what I expected. There has been a recent settlement accepted from Bank of America. Discover Card, despite correspondence to the contrary, continue to deduct $35 a month as my "consumer protection" and seem to be content to settle the debt that way. There has been no activity with my largest creditor, Chase at this time. The monthly updates and charts are not helpful in deciphering progress.

Monica was very welcoming and a real good listener. She explained the program in great detail and without making things complicated. She was very helpful in walking me through the DocuSign process, as well. She answered all my questions clearly and completely.

In the beginning it was all promises. Once the payments have been made and debt settled, they will refuse to write a letter stating the account has been settled with the creditor. It is up to the client to contact the creditor to request the letter stating the account has been settled and it is up to the client to report to the different credit bureaus to reflect that. They will only provide a generic letter without account number and a settlement agreement. At the end, you end up paying almost the full amount of the original debt. At the end, your credit report takes a massive hit while you may almost the full amount because of the fees or charges. Just call the creditors yourself and settle directly with them. Learn from my experience.

So far it has not lived up to expectations. The person who signed me up for the service was offering loans then switched to the debt service, but would only speak to me via phone. And on those phone calls she promised a number of things which turned out to be untrue. I wish I had recorded the calls. When I confronted her I received a demeaning email filled with lies about our conversations. I am hoping this was just the one person there and that things improve. I have had 2 settlements though both were for less savings than I was told to expect. And though I was told my end date would not change it already has been pushed back several months. So there is still about 4 years for Freedom Debt Relief to turn things around. I sincerely hope they do, as right now I am very disappointed.

FDR is anxious to get you as a customer, but they don't tell you everything at first. They need to be honest about whether or not they can negotiate with certain creditors. And they should advise you not to include those creditors that refuse any kind of settlement. Because those creditors will take legal action, and NLLG is no help whatsoever. It is like not having representation. FDR isn't great at negotiating settlements either. They were not able to reduce the debts by as much as they advertised. All in all, a terrible experience.

Customer service has been very helpful when I have had questions and concerns in regards to information or handling calls from creditors during this process. When I had any questions the staff was very informative as to how to handle the situation and when I have forwarded letters for collection the staff has been very helpful as to what to do next.

Since November of 2016 I have been calling every month to have one of my credit cards paid. That bank never accepted the payments Freedom Debt Relief because missing the agreement signed by me. This started since Oct 2015 and wasn't aware of any issues until the bank contacted me expecting payments. 7 months of calls and still not resolved the issue.

Because of debt relief and how this company has helped me find a way to deal with the problem, has given me peace of mind. It hasn't been easy with the creditors constantly calling but there has been progress, I had one creditor settle for less than fifty percent.

When I originally signed up for the program I was told most of the negotiation was done in the beginning. However only one of my loans was solved. And my rep does not call to give me heads up on what's to come. I am basically making payments and hoping for the best.

Updated on 02/24/2021: We are very happy that we are at the point to almost graduation and we are working our reducing our Bi Weekly Payments. We are super excited and very thankful for all the help in getting us to this point.

The program has delivered on its promises to this point. Our debt is being wiped away faster than anticipated. Customer service is easy to reach and helpful. As for what is lacking, I'd like to see a mobile app in the future. Beyond that, I'd recommend FDR to anyone who is experiencing trouble staying afloat financially.

I didn't expect my credit score to drop 200 points. Disappointed. And I still get threatening collection letters. Customer Service Department is very friendly and helpful. I hope that when the program is done, my credit score will rise rapidly. I also didn't know accurately that a percentage is added to the payoff.
