So far we are very pleased with the results of our credit cards being handled. We have had an actual live person handle our debt and I really enjoy this. We don't have to worry about remembering to pay our debts because we also have the benefit of automatic draft for our account.

I have been trying to get the last debt cleared for the last 2 years. Bank fees come out but nothing has happened. 2 years ago I was told to stop paying. I did. 2 months ago I was told to start making $20 dollar payments to keep active. 1 week ago I was given US Bank phone number to call myself to see if I could work a deal with them. And if I could work a deal to call back and let you all know and then you would set up payments. So…what am I paying you for?

The customer portal make it easy to ask for help or add additional accounts. I am looking forward to completing my program on or before the forecasted date. Everything explained during my initial consult has been accurate. There was nothing hidden and no bait and switch. Couldn't be happier with the results thus far. Once the initial settlement came in the rest of my debt and settlements fell into place. One piece of advice I can offer is be patient. At first it will be scary and overwhelmingly however much like life let the program and system work for you.

Program works but my only concern is that after you sign up there is no personal attention. If you have a question no one response with an answer. I have sent several request about removing a debt but no one ever responded.

I'm content with everything with the exception of harassing phone calls from a "Scott." He evidently has not read my file that I work 2nd shift, getting off @4am, so sleeping mostly ALL day! Bc of this, there is a Ms ** whom is on file, can speak on my behalf, which was set-up in the beginning! This "Scott" leaves messages like I'm ducking him, when this is not the case.

I am hoping it all works out and I am done in 4 yrs. I will be better able to rate this when the whole thing is complete. Currently it seems to be doing good. After the charges for the program, the savings are not as much as I thought it would be. I hope my credit score will improve after this program.

I am completely confused about this process so far, I know I owe $274.00 a month, but I do not know when the bills will start to be paid. I think I understood that a whole bunch of money has to be paid into the account before the bills are to start to be paid. I think I understood 1/4 of the bill had to be paid, if that is so, how do I handle the bill collectors when they start harassing me about not being paid.

I wanted to relieve some debt after my husband’s car accident and from what I got in my research, Freedom Debt Relief had a good reputation. Their rep is knowledgeable and professional. When I first signed up he was very patient in explaining things because it can easily get very confusing. And as we worked through it, every time I had a question, I called in, and everyone I spoke to was very gracious and able to answer my questions or had someone helped me walked through it. Handling debt is never an easy process but FDR made it very dealable.
As the debts changed hands, it took some time. I would get a response from my phone because it would send to my email or text message when a debt was received. But it wasn’t very quick follow-up on the text part because when I’m at work, I can’t always look at my email. So, maybe a quick response on the text alerts would be helpful. But other than that, everything is very good. The payment plan was reasonable. FDR helped to give me a chance to breathe a little bit.

I was disappointed to find out a bunch of stuff that wasn't disclosed to me in the beginning and throughout the process. For example I wasn't told there is a monthly fee for a bank account they set up that comes out of the money that's supposed to go towards the bills. They told me they don't charge any fees and everything is built into the monthly amount. I also wasn't told that they don't negotiate anything until money is built up in the account. Whatever that means. So basically we can't make any payments so everything will go into a charge off status making everything worse instead of negotiating a settlement amount and then me sending money towards the goal amount.
Right now I have no idea what my amount will be just an estimate. Not to mention my rep who was calling and texting me five or six times a day before I signed the agreement I can't get a hold of now after signing to save my life. They had 3 or 4 different people asking for the same information and my social and it made me extremely uncomfortable. Everything felt rushed. Not very good customer service. I would not recommend this service currently as of right now based off of what's happened.

I have been so pleased with Freedom Debt Relief. They have kept in constant contact, have relieved much of my anxiety and have been excellent with keeping on top of my debt. When I came to them I had already been with two other companies that were horrendous - took my money and never paid my debt. FDR has helped my credit score to increase and has helped me keep on track with payoff.

They do a great job of getting settlements at minimum 40% off the original debt. I did not realize the amount that would be charged to me for negotiating the debts. So the debts are decreased by 50% but they charge a 20-25% fee. My debt is still reduced significantly but with fees (payment fees, negotiation fee) I save 25- 35% off my enrolled debt. That is why I have a 4 and not a 5!!!

I just signed up with your company not too long ago but my collectors call me day and night. I can't wait to that stops. But I called your company and you assured me just to ignore him or give him your phone number. I have done that. It hasn't slowed down but now I'm blocking their number. I signed up with FDR Oct. 2017 and decided to put in combined 5 accounts total. Paying a total of $622.00 per month over the course of the time which totals to $8,708. Between Oct. 2017 and April 2018 I had NO results. I was extremely stressed out as I kept getting calls from collections on a daily basis. April 20 - FDR offered one settlement which they paid in 3 payments 4/20/18 - $2402; 5/18/18 - $447; 6/14/18 - $1341 not sure why it was broken down in that way nor was it explained to me.
Around May timeframe FDR offered me a deal thru Consolidation Plus. The Salesperson I spoke with explained to me how the program was a better fit for my situation. He said, "Basically we are lending you the money and you pay us back just how you've been doing. Because you have automatic draft and have been paying consistently on your FDR you are automatically approved."
I thought it was a great deal at the time. He sent an estimate contract which was e-signed. Over the course of the time I was still receiving calls from collections for the accounts. I called FDR and Consolidation plus several times. Then AMEX sued, so we had to go thru that stress of lawyer, etc. from May - July. Amex finally settled July 2018. The other accounts were paid June 25 and August 27th.
I never received an amendment contract to on the Consolidation Loan C+ thereafter. I tried to login the FDR website but it only showed account of payment no breakdown or anything such on where money I've been paying for past year had gone. Then I received an alert on my credit report stating I had a new Loan - surprise surprise it was consolidation Plus. To my surprise I still was not able to log in the website so I tried and failed with multiple attempts to try to email and call both FDR and consolidation plus loan.
I finally did get access to the portal on Jan 17th to see the balance of loan to be $23,718 plus 22.90% interest rate and maturity date of 5/29/2024 + settlement fees - $2,295; $610; $994; $1789; $2382. With the interest rates and the settlement fees I would end up paying almost double of what I originally owed on my accounts.
I CALLED consolidation plus and the CSR told me that there was nothing wrong on my Loan and that is what I had agreed and signed per contract. I asked her to pull my contract where it states the loan maturity to be 2022 NOT 2024. She then said that my contract was estimate... I gave her the definition of the word "estimate" which was not two more year on loan for additional $15K. She told me she had to look into it. Later that day I got a call by a lady from the Concerns dept (Resolve). I was not able to answer at the time but the voicemail said, "I am currently working on the loan and will get back as soon as I have an update". Since I did not hear back I called on 1/28/19 - the lady from the concerns dept admitted that the loan was not accurate and there were issues she had to fix. She called it "system issues". She said she was working on adjustments.
I spoke to her again on 1/29/19 and she gave me a breakdown of the loan the way she said made sense to her but was not able to articulate or give me answers on some of the questions I had regarding the $ on loan. She also said she had fixed the error of the year on the website. I advised her that I was not comfortable in the way the whole process had occurred and that I was not certain the numbers she had matched. She still was not able to tell me how she got the numbers and how I still owed the money allegedly owed.
To date the date in the website is still incorrectly reflecting. I still don't have a clear idea what where my money went and what I owe. My accounts so called settled are still reflecting in "COLLECTION STATUS" ON MY CREDIT REPORT. I gave FDR and Freedom Opportunity to settle but have not yet received a response and I think the best approach now is to contact my state general attorney.

Since I'm on automatic payments, my account is on cruise control. As long as I pay Freedom, they do their part of the agreement, and I'm not hassled by creditors. I haven't ever had to talk to any of my 5 creditors.

I didn't realize how many fees are being added to when an account is reached settlement. Along with monthly fees seems like the account is at a snail's pace. I haven't heard from anybody about how I am doing as a customer. Should be more personal because people struggle. And sometimes get into bad situations and need support.

DON'T DO IT! We have been in the program and paid over 17,000 and they keep moving the "graduation" date! It was supposed to take us 3 years and we are in year 2 and aren't any further ahead! We have to file bankruptcy 13 and could have had 2 years under us by now and it is Federally regulated!

However, certain actions, such as deposit modifications or the aggressive behavior of a creditor, can cause the graduation date to be pushed out.

This company is very misleading. I feel this company intentionally let accounts get bigger, I believe Simply to gain more profit. After pleading with them to contact me several times and reaching out several times I just got the runaround. I end up resolving 90% of all my accounts myself and save thousands. My wife and I are now seriously thinking about legal action. If anyone would like to hear factual accounts and or have any questions. Please feel free to call me regarding this matter.

Updated on 08/22/2020: So far, they're helping me tremendously and three of my accounts have been taken care of. I would've never been able to get done what they have already done in the past. It's almost three years that I've been with them and they're doing an awesome job. I made the debt so I felt like it was my responsibility to take care of it but when I told one of the representatives that, I was told that they didn't hear that that often. I am 110% comfortable working with them. Now, I'm in the part of where I'm having to use the legal department. I've never had to use them and everything has been going well. But today, I have to take care of some paperwork that I have to send back to them. Other than that, I sent two clients to FDR. My ex-husband was one and my sister was the other. I explained to them how much help FDR was giving me and I was totally satisfied.

Would like to take this opportunity to let other people that are in or might be in credit card debt information on Freedom Debt Relief. Due to circumstances beyond my control I was put in a situation where I had to utilize my credit cards to live on including temporary housing and finding a new place to live for about 4 months. I realized that in about 6 months I would not be able to make my minimum payments on my credit card balances. I researched my options and chose FDR. Right from the start they were professional and explained all my options and fees I would be paying. They negotiate on my behalf with each cc company to get a lowered amount owed and set up a payment plan with them directly. I make payments to a dedicated account each month and they use that account to pay my creditors. I have complete control over that account.
I did run into some medical issues one month and was able to stop my monthly payment that month. Not advisable but you can do that. I opted to include an attorney fee they offer for an additional cost month $6 so I have representation if I was sued, which I was by one of my creditors. Best $6 I ever spent. Overall if you find yourself in my position give FDR a try. The fees are a bit high but you get what you pay for. I'm glad I did.

After I spoke with Freedom Debt Relief, I tried other places. But the people at Freedom Debt Relief were honest with and I called them back about a week later. Plus they're actually working with me and they're polite with me. They're working with the creditors and they keep me informed. They also have a page that I can log on to anytime. They payment plan is also pretty simple. It's just that I had so much debt, like on personal loans, so I canceled a lot of my payments in the past. I told them I didn't wanna go negative on my account and they said that they understood. But they're working with me. It's gonna take a little longer for me to finish the program but it’s okay. I’ll get it taken care of. I’m happy with Freedom Debt Relief. I have even recommended other people to do it.

Thank you for making my life more stress free! I had a major hardship and contact each and every credit card company to give them a heads up. I was putting up Christmas lights on Saturday December 1, 2018, when I fell off of my ladder backwards. Ended up breaking my arm (compound fracture), shattered my wrist, dislocation of left arm and left shoulder. I was out of work for almost five weeks with no income. Not one credit card company would provide a grace period until I was able to work again! They all raised my interest percentages, charged late fees and continue to harass me wanting money.

Freedom Debt Relief was able to offer me a plan that I could work with when I was in deep debt. I wasn't getting out of debt anytime soon at the time and with their plan, I could get out of debt much sooner. I have tried a couple of different companies when I was much younger but they weren't as effective. With Freedom, things went much smoother. Enrolling with them was very easy and their reps were there for me anytime I needed them. If I had questions about things that were coming to my mail or calls I would get, I would call them right away and they would solve the problem immediately. FDR has been helpful in educating me about how to resolve debt. I have been successful at negotiating some debts outside of FDR but they have been a good partner in that. I wish the strategies used were able to resolve multiple debts concurrently - single-threading the payoffs takes too long.

Updated on 10/06/2023: It is now October 2023, and Freedom Debt Relief just negotiated my last credit card. It's been a long, difficult journey, but I'm closing in on graduation and I am so proud of myself. I could have never paid off that much debt in this amount of time without the help of FDR. I appreciate everything this company has done for me! And on a side note: I suggest you sign up for the lawyer services because one of my cards would not negotiate and I was sued. Again, the lawyers with FDR took care of everything. I have never been in trouble; I was terrified, but everything worked out fine. Literally, FDR saved my life in many ways!

So far my experience with Freedom Debt Relief is a positive. It would help if the customer was contacted more often. A customer doesn't know how hard FDR is working to resolve the debt. Would like feedback every 2 days.

Great help to avoid any creditors involving with lawsuits. The procession of the payments seem so fast for almost 2 years to pay the credit cards. I was finding it increasingly hard to meet my monthly obligations. About 10 years ago I used your service to help me at that time. The settlement fees are way too high. It takes extra time and money to then pay off the agreed upon settlements. Wish settlements fees would be lower then maybe accounts would be paid off faster and be debt free faster.

Colleen and others have been very helpful whenever I call in and they always remind me to check my client dashboard. Only recently, I seen where a settlement for my last account was approved for 1/29/19 but I never received a text or email authorizing the settlement like I've received in the past. I'm fine with the settlement as long as there are enough funds available plus to pay off my other account.

I am dissatisfied with negotiations on my ISPC account. When I entered it to FDR I owed about $6,888 & when it was finally up for negotiations I owed upwards of 9k! There were NO settlements on this account. I'm stuck paying for the balance I owed and ALL the fees associated that were incurred along with FDR fees. AND my graduation date was pushed back to 2022! Dissatisfied, would not have signed up with this program if I had known it was possible that some accounts would end up costing MORE than the amount I originally owed.

When the creditor has agreed not to settle the account than less what it's owed it's usually when a creditor is suing you on an account and to stop any further litigation they will settle as a Stipulated Agreement which is the for the full balance. Not all creditors negotiate for a Stipulated Agreement, our NLLG always negotiates to get you the best settlement to prevent the creditor to proceed with further litigation. FDR does not collect any settlement fees on a Stipulated Agreement. I know this is very unfortunate on your end but the positive of this settlement is the creditor has stopped any further legal action against you. We know your other accounts have been successful to negotiate it's just this hiccup that has made change the way you feel about our program. They have a problem letting the account owner know that they represent the customer. I personally have 2 accounts that have been closed because they weren’t contacted and verified. Not pleased with their services. They are now trying to offer my account to their sister company? I’m paying $304 monthly and only $100 is being put towards my account. My credit score have gone down 200 points since using them. So why use them?

Since my program is just starting I have no real comments concerning my service. I did think that my contact information would have already been changed, but this may happen with the initial plan payment. I was somewhat concern that my account showed a negative balance even before my first payment was made. Perhaps, I misunderstood the initial startup, which I didn't read in my welcome package.

You have sales people signing the public up for your program. They told me they would take all my debts and have them paid off over time. You did not take all my debts. Left one that I had to pay myself... at 320 dollars a month. I don't appreciate being, told something that is not TRUE.

At first, I thought Freedom Debt Relief was somebody that would pay your debt off and you would pay them back. I didn't know that they were someone that help you with the debt. They told me how much I have to pay every month. It helped me very well, so I kept my part of bargain and they kept theirs. When I call Freedom Debt Relief, the people there are very, very nice people, but I didn't like my agent. When I try to call, I can't get him. One time, he gave me a wrong suggestion. I really didn't think that he really helped me good enough the way it should.
I learned a lot from Freedom Debt Relief in how to handle my situation in the near future better than I did in the past. I’m out of debt and I feel more freedom. They taught me how I can come back and be myself again, and live my life the way I wanted to live it without having somebody else to help me to live. I would refer Freedom to somebody.

I have been bounced back and forth between FDR and NLLG and have now had a judgement placed on me because I couldn't get anyone in either place to settle a deal that was sent to me 6 months ago. FDR kept failing to enter it into the system. I won't be working with them on any further accounts.

FDR did nothing to help resolve a pressing credit card debt with Capital One Selip & Stylianou even though I made them aware of it as soon as I was aware that they filed a judgment against me. It is clear with all the fees etc. that you have taken out for this process, FDR was not content until I purchased their litigation service, which I refused. You could have avoided the eventual judgment that was filed against me but chose not to. Very upset. Thanks for nothing!

Upon calling the company was very helpful. They provided guidance and assistance each step. They have been very helpful with email and phone follow up. I needed relief on my credit card debt. I worked with Freedom for a little less than a year and I got all my cards paid off. Their debt consultants were very helpful. They explained everything that I needed to know and got my accounts approved. Also, the payment plan that I had was great and it fit into my budget. The cost of their service was relatively fair, as well. Freedom got my financial situation back and they made all my credit scores to go up quite a bit. I applied for credit consolidation in October 2017 and was told I would be done paying down the credit by January 2022. Now the end date is November 2022 with a HUGE amount spent I did not expect. I will ever use this process again. It really has caused me problems in securing a new home after my husband's death. There are other ways to handle credit debt that's for sure!

The only issue I have with FDR is their communication is slow. I think there should be a dedicated person to my account. I made two large additional deposits and I never can find out when the next negotiating will begin.

I was a bit unsure whether I should use Freedom Debt Relief, however, after they took over my accounts I found I was paying off things very quickly. I would recommend them. If you want to clear your debt and work on regaining your credit score to a good score, I would recommend this company.

FDR could not be not professional and helpful through the whole process of getting out of debt. I would recommend their service for anyone trying to get out of debt. They always answer the phone so you can talk to a person and answer all emails. They let you know that you're not alone throughout the time you're paying off your debt.

Since I opened this account in April 2017, I have made my monthly payments, without interruption. Despite this, my dashboard recently indicated that my graduation day has been rescheduled, adding 4 additional months of payments. When I called to inquire, I was informed that the original graduation day was an "estimate" since negotiations were still continuing. I am a little nervous about this experience at this time. Not sure how my relationship with my creditors will be perceived. My intentions is not to pay them, just to have one easier payment with a reduced interest rate. I am hoping I have made the right decision.
