I was so far into debt with credit cards that I saw no way out. A friend recommended FDR and within 4 years I was debt free from credit cards. Without FDR I know I would still be in debt even worse than I was 4+ years ago. Thank you FDR for all you did.

Everything seems to be going as planned. Will increase rating when the company (Freedom) actually starts settling and paying down debt. Hope the process works as Freedom says it will. It would be easier dealing with one company. Seems like it was three different companies to put this deal together.

They help a lot. Very great company. They got the creditor off our backs and we are very grateful. Thank you. I dont know what I would do without their help. Probably be behind on our credit cards. They changed our life a lot. I would tell people how they helped us.

Freedom Debt Relief allowed me to pay off bills in smaller amounts, although some CC completed a 1099C which forces you to claim the write off in your taxes. This hurt during the financial struggle, but I am happy to say, I am DEBT FREE... Difficult time, but well worth it. Now to begin a Newer, Richer financial life style. Thank you Freedom for providing me a debt free lifestyle.

I have been sending the welcome packet and they always say they did not get it but I have proof that it was sent by fax. It is very frustrating!!! To know I sent it and they keep telling. Me they did not receive it!

It was an easy process to sign up and understand. The representatives were very helpful when I did have a question or needed to submit a document for record. I am fairly new to the program but happy at this point! I found myself drowning into debt fast and had to have help soon. I call FDR and they had the papers I needed to fill out quickly. Also, the staff is very patient and super helpful!

Not 100% good to my credit report. I tried unsuccessfully contact the person who was handling my settlements since one of the accounts still show as pending in my credit report. I'm not happy with that since I thought all settlements were done. I don't know at this point, who to contact since my last contacts with you guys were pretty slow.

Great Service and Communication. I'm looking forward to getting my credit back. I've never used this type of service before. I kept up on all my payments but I just had too much credit cards. So I felt it was time to do something. And The FDR team was great at explaining and helping me get started.

Debt settlement is pretty nerve racking. Freedom tried to be reassuring, I had to fight my own demons, with regard to the settlements. For the most part I was very satisfied, only one account was allowed to go to legal department. I wasn't happy that this account wasn't settled before I was served, it was settled by the time I had to appear in court with that information. I have been able to buy a car and a new house since the settlement. I am still feeling the effects on my credit score but everything should be dropping soon. I recommend Freedom when things happen in your life and you know you can't get out of debt. BUT learn from your credit errors.

This is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. Not only do they know their stuff, but they make you feel safe and secure about what you are doing. They cannot help you enough, and they are always there for you. I highly recommend this wonderful company!!

In my haste to get everything settled, and given this it. I agreed to it. But now down the road after the dust settled. It has sunk in that interest rate is so high. I have tried to refinance but cannot get it. So I am just going to keep making the loan payments.

It sounded so great that payments would be lower this & that, but there always a CATCH. You paid into & then transferred to Consolidation plus & payments are higher. Interest is higher. Credit scores goes down & after that you need to pay IRS!!! When negotiations is made the balance becomes the income to you!!! Never never will I recommend to anyone!!! I'm still in Debt!!! Sounded too good!!!

I was desperate to get my debt down when I made contact with you. Part of the position you took was that your company would make all contacts with all the company's which I owed money. As you stated you would bargain with each company in order to lower payout. You did get a few to reduce their products payment but then I had to do the rest. First I was uncomfortable with the processing and I am certain that I didn't do a good job. The most disappointment was that after my credit went from the high 700's to 500. Since then it has been a struggle to get out of the low 600's. I have not missed a payment and still I cannot seem to recover.

I am happy that I have selected Freedom Debt Relief to assist me in resolving my debt problem. I feel that they are the ones to help me after viewing several other aspects. I look forward to meeting my goals with FDR.

So far my experience with Freedom has be great! It's been a load of weight lifted off my shoulders. All the people I've talked to at Freedom have been very knowledgeable and professional. Also like the website, will be easy to keep track of my progress of becoming debt free.

I was pleased with the Freedom Debt Relief. They assisted me when I needed it the most. Financial struggles happen every day, to people of all walks of life. Having an attorney contracted through Freedom also made it less challenging when one of my creditors tried to sue.

At first I was skeptical, however, I needed help to rein in my debt and pay off my debt. Through Freedom, I was able to pay my debt at a reduced cost. There will be some set back on your credit score, however, once you pay off your debt through the program, your credit score will correct itself and you realize the benefit of the program. It is not always easy, however, it is totally worth it.

DF allowed us to have a financial plan to remove a sizeable debt that allowed us to have a final goal of a payoff. However, one bill was forgotten about and went to a lawyer. Because of our extreme persistence, it was finally taken care of but ultimately caused much stress.

Since I retired and am living on a fixed income that barely pays for my house payment and utilities, I've been struggling financially. This meant my credit card debt was getting paid late sometimes and I was getting fees that just kept getting higher. I reviewed Freedom Credit Relief and thought I'd give them a try as I didn't know what to do. They stepped in, discussed my issues, and soon we were setting up goals to help settle my accounts. Freedom Credit Relief took over and I am able to access my account at anytime, but I can just sit back and let them do the work!

I was please with the reduction in debt that was settled. Overall I was able to cancel debt quicker. Only complaint was the original agent said we could pay an extra fee after debt was cleared and it would wipe the default from our credit report. Later representatives knew nothing about this. My credit score didn't drop very much all said and done. =)

I joined in 2015 & satisfied with Freedom then I received a call to see if I wanted to process the project sooner, and I stated yes & as a Senior I did not understand the complete process & just wanted the payments to be paid. Then I signed up with Consolidated (Loan). Once this was done I became ill with Stage 3 Cancer left kidney and had to have one half of the left kidney removed and still doctoring @ this time with Leukocytosis, Etc.. I called to see if I could set up Hardship and was passed on to person after person & did not return my e-mails than finally declined in 2016 - tried again in 2017 & they did allow to lower the payment for 3 months only. Wish that I could have this extended **Future clients - **Please make sure you read & understand the process**.

Started this journey with Freedom 2 1/2 years ago unwillingly, but I must say it was the best decision my husband and I made. The process was without problem, we were kept abreast of all negotiations. Two of our debts were totally cleared, no penny down. The others were all settled at 40% and or more. Customer service personnel also called monthly to ensure I was aware of the different processes and encouraged continuous participation via the web portal. Freedom's appreciation for their customers is evident in the awesome birthday cards sent and signed and also the continued encouragement in congratulations following each settlement. Thanks to Freedom we are debt free with concentration only on our mortgage. It was a beneficial and well worth experience.

I was able to get my debt covered in time but was not made aware I would receive tax documents for the debt that was taken away. There are specific forms that help with this. If they told me it was not obvious. My credit report still had blemishes on it that was promised to be taken care of. I ended up doing it myself after the process was over. In the end still happy they helped me.

Laid off for over 2 years and unable to find employment, FDR worked with my creditors and helped me come to an affordable plan to meet my financial obligations. They were very professional, non-judgmental, and expedient in their service. My credit score is back to 750+!

So far, the steps are simple and just make sure to have sufficient funds for every month. So far, haven't experience any problems yet. My representative is very helpful and informative. We had to short-sale our home in Florida because we both lost our jobs and we could no longer afford our home. So we moved to Alabama and found it difficult to find work. It's been five years since I was a client of Freedom Debt Relief but I am now 100% debt free. I was able to settle all of my unsecured debt while working with FDR and they even handled everything when I was sued by one of the credit card companies. I would never have known what to do in that situation without their help. After eliminating my credit card debt I was able to pay off my car loan and now have zero debt which is awesome!! I was told my monthly payment would not change. It went from 675 to 715. I was hesitant when I was approached by Freedom Debt about paying off all the credit card debt because it was taking too long you said. I was surprised when my payment increased when I was told it would stay the same.

I guess the process doesn't go as fast as a person wants, but it's moving along. When I call Customer Service I always get a real person at the other end. And that really means a lot to me. It is very stressful to be in deep debt! It clogs your mind. It is hard making hard choices and letting the chips fall than restructuring. FFD was a friendly voice of reassurances over the phone. Thus far I have had a good experience. The rep I worked with was friendly, concerned, helpful and very knowledgeable. He worked through things with me even though I was slow to respond at times due to my circumstances. I am optimistic that this will help my wife and greatly.

My experience was great but 2 yrs. later I receive a form saying that I have received extra income that I must claim on taxes. It cost me a headache and 1000 dollars. But this form was from only one bank so be careful which banks you do this with. Make sure you do your research.

Updated on 05/13/2021: Freedom Debt Relief still has one more card out of about 14. I should be done with them in like three months. They've done a tremendous job. On some of these cards, they've been able to get down more than half. So, I appreciate everything that they've been able to do. Working with them has taken a weight off my shoulders. I'm happy that right now, I'm looking for a home. Getting all that stuff out of my way has definitely made me feel better. I'm on a payment plan. They were willing to work with me when it came to that. If I call them and have questions, they'll get somebody on the phone to help me right away. They don't put me on hold or have me leave a message. It's nice that I can still talk to somebody alive.

Freedom didn't "sugar-coat" the process. It was hard at first but exactly as they said it would be. They kept us informed as we made progress and accounts were closed/paid off. They gave us plans/offers for each debt and we held true to the agreements and made amazing progress. Freedom saved us, our home, and our sanity. We have no credit cards at this time. Eva has retired, and we are living better on less. Sincere thanks.

When you get into a situation, you are angry, confused, scared, all at the same time. FDR walked me through the process without being pushy. They were patient. The contact people were always professional and helpful. Once I was in the program a number of months, I was contacted to fast track my payoff and get out of debt even quicker. It's very easy to get into a lot of debt but it's very hard to get out of debt unless you find a company like Freedom. Freedom's name say's it all. I was with another company but they were not doing anything to knock down my debt. They could not get all of my debt in one group so I was paying them and still paying half of my debt. Then I found Freedom Debt and They did what they said they could do. I now have Freedom!! THANK YOU.

Never told up front about 23% interest rate with Consolidation Plus. Also no help on improving credit rating. Overall not satisfied with end result. Was never told about all bad consequences related to this procedure. Ended up not really saving on my debt.

We joined this program after speaking with a member of the team who gave us such hope and laid out how we could pay off all of our debt. In 5 years we paid off all of our debt. Freedom financial was amazing, they did all the negotiations with all of our debtors and got us manageable payments and they were a life saver! Today we are stress free and debt free! This program has been extremely helpful in getting us into a better position in life. After some serious hurdles, we were on the verge of losing our home. The process is quite easy, however it would be most beneficial to have guidance and resources in place to assist clients once the debt has been settled. It was incorrectly explained to us that there would be no tax implications from this, and we ended up with quite the surprise bill from the IRS notifying us we owed a tremendous amount in taxes on the forgiven debt. I would imagine not many people are tax experts and would have this knowledge. So although we are almost finished paying off our remaining debt through this program, we now have a huge amount due to the IRS as well, which will be another long term payment plan.

From the very beginning when I was in a lot of debt, the assistance I received was absolutely first class and very quick. The various recommendations and choices I was given helped me make a very helpful personal finance decision.

I found myself in a downward spiral. Without FDR I would not have been able to take care of my credit card debt so quickly. If I had questions, all I had to do was call or go online. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Thank you FDR!

Every time I contacted the company I was told a different answer or a different story. I never knew who or what to believe! In addition, when we signed up it was all about "you may receive a notice from the cc company that you would need to claim on your taxes." NO! We received one from EVERY cc company. I know you can't control that - but you all know darn well that they are going to send them out. So, in a nutshell - all I did was give you money for doing nothing - since I had to claim the 'reduction' on my taxes each and every time anyway. I would never recommend your company to anyone!

I was not treated properly by this company, they lied to me to swindle me into signing a false contract with no defined amounts and then told me I could cancel any time during the process. No you can't cancel after you sign and that person you talked to in the beginning never returns your calls. Every person you talk to after that simply states "That's not my job, I can't help you with that." Will never use this company again and would not recommend anyone use this company. The amount they claim they save you, they charge you in process fees, and then there's the 30% interest rate, they don't tell you all that until one day you get a notice saying "Congrats you owe us... And it's 2 times what you owed the creditors." You better off just paying off the creditors yourself. They don't do that much for you to constitute them making that much money off of your debt.

This program really helped me a lot. I am making one payment rather than 5 or 6 payments over a $1000.00 a month. I have two complaint: we were not referred to anyone that would give advice on building my credit back and to advise us on taxes paid on the closing accounts. Otherwise I would advise others to Freedom Debt Relief.

Everything was done in a fair way. The only thing was the last bill took too long it was like 6 months and I gave in the paperwork for the settlement. I was told at the end it was not in the right place.

My experience was very good. The only problem I had was that the person working with me changed. I was offered another option with Consolidated Plus and I was unsure if I should accept it. I did, but I'm still not sure if it was the right move, and the person I originally had as my adviser who I liked and trusted wasn't at the company anymore and I think my new one wasn't appointed yet. When I called to get advice about this the answer was "whatever you think" which wasn't any help in making this decision.

Ever since I contacted Freedom they have worked hard to help me out of my debt crisis and I'm thankful for their efforts. Since Freedom started working on my debt my credit rating has steadily climbed. We are expecting to achieve a good rating very soon.

One of the only gripes I have concerning Freedom is that it took too long to satisfy some of my accounts. I was able to gather the funds to complete the program in July 2016. I submitted the funds but wasn't able to close all accounts until July 2017. I understand it takes some work but many times I had to call to "light a fire" under some of the workers there. Other than that, my experience was pretty positive.

I was told I could pay off my debt in 4 years. It's now 4 years later I still owe a lot of money and been paying over $500.00 a month, looks like the entire time I was with Freedom Financial all I did was pay them a fee to get a bank to loan me money to pay off my debt.

Throughout the 2 years I was a client, customer service was always very helpful, answered all my questions no matter who I spoke with and would even delay payment for me by a week if needed, no questions asked. HOWEVER, the issue by the end was I was told my final payments were over, and then they were not. My last and final payment of $59.00 even after I am told the program was finished still was not authorized. Only when the following possible due Friday I stopped seeing drafts did I know I was done. Someone different was always telling me "YES, THIS IS YOUR FINAL PAYMENT. And then there was still another amount taken out of my account the following week." I do not blame anyone, just I felt not everyone was on the same page. This may have also been due to the new C+ program that not both companies were up to date, or maybe one not cross communicating everything. But ultimately I had a positive experience.

The folks at Freedom are fantastic — available, patient and totally appear to be on your team. The only word of caution I would offer would be the importance of having your credit in a good place. It was never disclosed to us that we would be sued multitude times (3 times) which we had to pay legal fees (approx $3,000) and creditors (6) would send us COD's (1099's). Was mislead about program from beginning. Was told accounts were being negotiated when they were actually going delinquent. Was told it would take 3 years to have a 0 balance but after paying for a year was told that I still had four years to pay. Then magically company decided it was in my best interest to borrow the money from them, at a ridiculous interest rate, so I could settle my now delinquent debts to avoid prosecution.

Absolutely disappointed. More than expensive fees. I felt this company just put first your own deals and after deals for customers. Poor information about closed accounts and like a customer I do not want to pay every month for an account who do not exist. I wanted an early full payment and that was a complicated and expensive process with hiding fees and penalties.

The loan repayment is helpful but it's a lot of money out a month so make sure you are aware of that. I didn't like that the company was vague about the income tax ramifications (all the 1099s). You can settle your debt, but you will pay it back one way or another either through direct payment, the loan or through income tax because you have to claim all that settled debt as income. Be AWARE of that because I wasn't.

Freedom got me out of a bind to get me into another bind... Interest rates are extremely expensive. After two years of paying the monthly of the debt with Freedom Relief there barely was a dent in what I owed. At the end with the high debt I had originally started, there was not much difference of what I previously owed to what I owed Freedom Debt Relief.

When you realized that this was going to take longer than the four years, it was decided that the best course to take (which I unfortunately agreed to) was for you pay off the debt and for me to repay you. While you were able to reduce the amount that I owed, you failed to disclose to me unless it was in the very small print that only a lawyer would see that the difference between the negotiated amount and the actual amount owed would be considered actual income and taxed. Maybe an oversight on your part or maybe not. I truly regret using Freedom and should have just filed for bankruptcy or found a better alternative. Your customer service is not customer friendly.

Everything was great with Freedom Debt Relief. Kept me informed about my accounts. When I switch to Consolidation Plus Program continue paying the $326 to Freedom Debt Relief until debt paid off then, consolidation will be making any future payments. It can take up to 60 to 90 days to make the switch and for the four accounts to be paid. Did I must understand after 60 to 90 days the four accounts will be paid but you continue paying the $326 every month for 35 months. Did I misunderstand about when the accounts will be paid in full, where I'm at my accounts has been 60 to 90 days?

They answered every question I had and were very helpful. Never had any problem with the company. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because nobody is perfect and can always be improving.

When the program was set up I specifically asked about the amounts that were forecasted to be paid and I was assured that it would be that amount or less. On a $50,000 bill that was forecasted at $20,000 we ended up paying $30,000 with your fees and taxes. We only ended up saving $2000.00 at most. More disturbing was the run around we got constantly. I felt when this went to the legal department they did not handle it in a timely manner and then a man showed up to our door to serve us with papers and would not leave when our two daughters were home alone. This is just one example of the letdown that we experienced.

I had to move and it was very hard to be able to rent a new house (I was worried about being homeless) and I had to borrow over $15,000 to pay the taxes that were sent to me because of the way Freedom Debt Relief changed what I owed (that was called income).

People were very respectful and polite. When you are in debt - that it is a huge relief not to be treated as if you were a problem. They were honest and clear about the tradeoffs of the different ways of paying off the money. Including the costs of theirs. They are helpful and responsive when I have a question. They are professional and I always feel as though I had a point person to talk to instead of starting over all the time.

Very help and straight forward. No beating around the bush. Honest and forthright. They told us like it was supposed to be. They helped us get our acts together and a financial grip on our money. Made us see things differently and more clearly.

I regret filing debt consolidation with your company. To sum it all I paid too much total. I've been so depressed about it because I didn't expect those lots of charges and end up paying years and not even help me Much. I should not do it.
