It has been a pretty easy and a stress-free process. I was very overwhelmed with trying to pay everything off and Freedom Debt Relief dropped my payment enough that I can manage it now and paying for the legal part was very helpful. I wasn't sure if I would need them but we did.

Things started out great, but when I called several times and was told I would need to speak to "Maria" she NEVER returned my call, not once. I was also a bit shocked to see my credit score decline so rapidly and that has impacted me in many other areas of my life - not just with respect to credit card debt. I wish this would have been explained in more detail at the onset. Poor customer service & professionalism.

I did not expect the high call amount from creditors. I was not expecting to see my credit report decline as rapidly as it did. Also I was not made aware that creditors could still report the difference in amount to the IRS.. This was not EMPHASIZED at the signing of the agreement. Somewhat disappointed in the process and initial presentation. I was seeking assistance and feel that expectation was not met at this point. Thank you.

When I enrolled with Freedom Debt Relief I was a little hesitant about joining because I thought it was not real. I filled out the information online and then received a call from the representative. He was very helpful and explained the program as many times as I need to. He gave me everything I needed via email so I can read for myself. It has been a great weight lifted from my shoulders and I look forward to graduation day. The fact that I have a lawyer at my disposal through this program is very encouraging. I am so glad I enrolled.

Waste of time and money drops your credit worse than if you just filed bankruptcy. They drag the payments out so they can draw more interest on your account. People would be better off filing bankruptcy. Your credit score would be better off and climb back up faster.

The process isn’t over. I did take out a loan using the loan service, sister program to FDR. Was kind of shocked at the high interest rate but they have settled all but 2 accounts now. Will reserve final judgment for when I am officially debt free.

I think it is very important to have someone qualified, on staff, to explain what happens during tax time. I will not see an account until Spring 2020. I want to know what's happening or going to happen now! I'm in a debt program. I not going to have thousands of dollars to pay in taxes on settlements.

I'm not too happy with the amount of money you are charging me to settle these accounts. For every transaction you settle you charge me almost half of the settlement amount. You settle one last account for me in the amount of $ 960.00 but you charge me $281.00 settlement fees. I'm going to see if there is something better out here. Because I think you are charging me too much to settle these accounts. I'm staying with the program until I find other solution. Thank You.

Appears that FDR is more interested in making money than assisting clients. Charge for every little service and take your fees first. I wish I had called the lenders first and tried to work out on my own. Freedom Debt Relief sucks.

I am not receiving all the services that I was told about. I have been diligent in staying on track. I have increased my biweekly deposit. I have not moved into the consolidation invite. I have been told because I did not stay on target with my plan. Not true at all. To this day no one has done an audit on my account or called me back to tell me why I did not qualify.

I was emailed and asked to respond to FDR to either reject or approve two new accts that could be placed on my program. We found them to be bogus requests, as they were very, very old accounts, and had be long settled. I was upset that these were not back-checked, before presenting them to me by email. The lovely young lady who answered my call at FDR, was very cordial and polite in helping me with this issue.

Updated on 05/11/2020: Anybody that I’ve spoken to in customer service from the very beginning to recently when I had a follow-up seemed to be very knowledgeable about what they were talking about and explained things to me even though it was not always what I liked to hear. I was appreciative of their knowledge. The only thing I have a problem with is that every time I consider everything, and now that I’m nearing the end, I don’t think I saved as much money as I had hoped to see when weighing in the fees although the savings were okay. The other thing was my credit got wrecked for a period of time, which for me was okay, but for some people might not be that. But whatever helps is better than what it was. I started seeing some of my debts get resolved a few months. There were three debts and they’re working on the third and last one now.
Original Review: I have found FDR to be something I am happy to be a part of. The reps were friendly and helpful but the most important part is reducing debt. So far they have reduced debt on one account and I look forward for them doing it on two others.

Creditor reported me as deceased. I called customer service because I wasn’t quite sure how to handle/fix my situation. The representative I talked to on the phone was outstanding! He was understanding and knowledgeable. He put me at ease about a very serious situation. Unfortunately, when he tried to transfer me to the one question survey at the end of our conversation, the system wouldn’t allow him to transfer me. After multiple attempts, he was unsuccessful. I wish I would have been able to rate him as an individual. HE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I was terrified going through this process but FDR has been amazing. I feel more confident and I am watching my debt disappear. Watching your credit score go down is heartbreaking but as you go through the program there is light at the end of the tunnel. I continued to pay into my dedicated account and by making the payments on time I was given the opportunity to get a consolidation loan to make my debt disappear faster and it is. I love the fact that I can send an email about any question I have and a real person will respond to you with the answers and understanding of the emotions and stress you have going through this process. Has been surprisingly pleasant throughout the program thus far. I`ll admit I was rather hesitant at the onset but now I'm certainly glad I signed on with Freedom Debt Relief. Freedom Debt Relief provided easy step by step advice to help reduce my debt. They said that the first settlement usually takes approximately 6 months. I started in January and received my first settlement offer in June at 35% of the amount owed.

I am not happy that I can not add a debt that was on my credit report at the time that I signed up with you guys. Now I have received a letter from a collection lawyer firm and when I asked to add this debt after I looked on my dashboard to see if it was there and couldn’t find it, I then called and I was told it wasn’t there. I went to add it and was sent a email saying I needed to come up with half of the debt to ADD it. If I had half the debt amount I would have paid it to them to reduce it but since I don’t, hence my I have gotten the help I needed through your company to get me back in track. This has really put me in a bind.... I realize this is of my making but I am trying to fix it and this doesn’t help!

At first I was very upset due to my credit score went from a 700+ to 500+. Creditors were calling sometimes 5/6 a day. This was very stressful on my husband and I. I personally feel that the methods should be reversed not to mess up people's credit. Allow the persons to build up an account with FDR. While allowing the client to keep them on required payments. Now that my credit is Ruined because of being 4-7 months in arrears, all I can do is PRAY. I now realize that initially did not realized this.

Freedom Debt Relief has been very helpful in helping me resolve my debt problems. The only issue I have with them as I am down to two small loans. They negotiated a settlement for one of them and I have to pay a little over $900 to resolve it. The monthly payments on the loan is $72. Freedom Debt Relief want me to continue making payments of $522 a month for 24 months to pay off a little over $900. The money about the payment is all going to feed. I feel this is an exorbitant amount having to pay $10,000 to pay off $900.

I had had numerous mail and phone calls inquiring as to where I had not made payments on their accounts, I gave them info to contact fdr to follow up on their status. They were satisfied with my respond.

Updated on 5/15/2020: Seems to be moving slowly. I thought we would be further along than we are. I was also disappointed in the legal company that they weren't able to negotiate wells Fargo down any. That worries me because we also have a larger account with them that was turned in.
Original review: We had hoped to get a loan. The advertising we received in mail did not mention debt consolidation of any type. Twas a bit deceiving. Otherwise it's ok. I hope it works out for us. Hate to get the nasty phone calls from creditors.

I submitted five accounts. The smallest got a quick settlement that was satisfactory but before another settlement was offered I received a call from Spencer ** offering a loan to pay off debts but which would take until 1-16-24 to pay off with interest of 22.9. I refused and have since received another settlement from FDR which I accepted. FDR is my choice.

I started this process while Chuck was still alive, and am very happy with how it is progressing. Being on a fixed income, and with children still in need of help, we seriously considered Bankruptcy. But with the help of FDR, I feel I will be able to remain in my home, and pay creditors. It may take a while, but I can sleep at night knowing the debts are being taken care of.

I am happy that two of my outstanding accounts are being settled. I have been in the program since February. What bothers me the most is that I misunderstood the fee that is on each account. I thought that this was in total fee for the package of accounts. My mistake for not researching more. I don't know how I will get my credit score up in a normal range, hoping I can increase payments.

I have just recently agreed to my 2nd settlement with 6 months in the program. I am fine so far with service. Only issue I had was one if my accounts is listed with wrong name. Sent 2 or 3 emails and called re this. Still listed as wrong. As they have recently made an agreement on it, not real sure it's an issue. Plus it's annoying to keep repeating the same issue to a different person every call.

Freedom Debt Relief is very good. They have helped me a lot. I am going through their debt relief program, and I am happy of how they are handling my account. I have so much debt and I called them. And somebody returned my call by the name of Antonio and he explained to me how the program works. With the way they are handling my debt, I might be able to be financially free of a lot of debt in the years to come.
Their customer service is very good, but there are times when you get somebody who is not as helpful as the others or is putting you on hold. Maybe this person that I speak with is not very familiar with the procedures. Because of their customer service setup, whoever is free answers your question. You could not ask for a specific person, even though I have asked before. If you find somebody very helpful and more knowledgeable of the procedures, the processes or the regulations, you would like to speak with that person. But that's not the case with Freedom Debt Relief. Still, most of them are very helpful and very courteous. They would try or they could go out of their way to help you. They have settled some accounts for me already. I have four more accounts. One is in targeted negotiation and three are in strategic hold. I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief.

I was a little anxious when I first began in December 2018. I never had missed payments and kept getting increases on my credit line, a recipe for disaster. When I began paying out more than I could afford I knew I had to do something. FDR came along at just the right time. I have paid my first debt off and am working on two more at the moment. I just give them my money and they do the negotiating and handle the bills. My credit score fell of course and that hurts but I know I’m headed in the right direction and look forward to the day of being debt free. Updated on 05/18/2021: We had a lot of debt we enrolled. We are about to begin our 5th settlement. We have 2 paid off, two are almost paid off and three to go. It hasn't been easy but we are almost through. We hope to be able to deposit more so we can finish quicker than anticipated.
Original Review: Everyone I have dealt with through emails or over the phone are very professional and knowledgeable. We haven't been on the program that long and I am anxious to see more progress but I know if I have a question or a concern, I can reach out to someone and they are there for us.

Everything from setting everything up the first time up to my first settlement offer has been pretty easy. My only complaint is that I get contacted by a Consolidated Plus (Joshua **) trying to get me to consolidate my loan knowing that my score wasn't good, so I did. Never heard back from him. I assuming I got denied, like thought I would. Why even try to get me to do that when I'm already in this plan. Doesn't make sense.

I'm about halfway through my program. Three debts have been resolved, and I have three to go. It is working as advertised, but I do wish they were a bit clearer about the hit that my credit score would take. This is partially my own fault, as I should have surmised how low it would go, but when courting me, the flowery language reps used does not truly describe the 150+ point dive my score took. Now that I'm halfway through, it would be unwise to get out now. I am hoping that come the end of the program, my score will recover.

$13,122.00 Paid to them. $8,315 Paid to creditors. Lowest settlement they got was 40%, now that I'm doing it myself I get 35% without even trying. What's frustrating is they charge their fee on original debt. Where's the incentive to get a good settlement? If you're paying them to settle debts than they should at least negotiate to have creditor remove negative reports when offered 48%. They negotiated 5 of my accounts. 2 at 48%, 1 at 45% and 2 at 40%.
The only reason I used them was to work and not worry about this stuff but I'd still get collection calls and letters. Collectors would tell me they refuse to work with Freedom... I wish I saw this review, it just didn't provide the peace of mind I thought it would and I'd have 2 big accounts paid off by now instead of just one of my big accounts due to paying freedom to settle debts at a mediocre rate, not communicate and not contact all my creditors with a game plan for the future.
Bottom line is if you have half a brain you can handle your stuff better than they can with minimal effort. Also, after paying them thousands of dollars to settle 5 accounts and removing the rest my Freedom account was closed. No summary or information for me to use to clean up my credit report. Felt kicked to the curb. P.S. I had technical issues with their website account often.

I am very pleased and the people I have worked with are very nice and helpful. I am glad they are resolving my debts. The only thing that would help is for the creditors to stop calling me. I think Freedom should call all the creditors and explain that I am trying to pay them and not file for bankruptcy.

Updated on 11/25/2020: I am very satisfied with FDR. One of the biggest reasons is that I've learned that I can trust them. The accounting job they do is complex and, so far, I've had no reason to feel their figures are incorrect, or that they're mischarging. I always feel that they're doing what they said they were going to do and that's it. They have never done anything inappropriate, and by following their advice, my credit score is going up and my account cases are being taken care of one by one. National Law Litigation Group is also great. They've been a tremendous help and again I feel like I can trust them. I highly recommend FDR and NLLG to everyone who has debt issues. They will fix your life.

Debt reduction. I have been sued by Bank of America and have been trying to get this settled with you people. I go to court tomorrow and it wasn't until today that I got any help. I am not a happy customer. God help me tomorrow in front of the judge.
