We have exceptional service and Freedom representative were always responsive. The only thing I feel wasn't explained well was the tax penalties with the IRS. It was definitely explained as if that was typically waived with debt relief and we paid a fortune in unexpected tax penalties.

I would like better communication. I was advised to use your sister company for consolidation. I see the advantages of consolidation, but why would I want to exchange debt for more debt at a much higher interest rate. That is predatory lending in my opinion. Nobody from Freedom Debt Relief contacted me as to why that is a good move. When a debt is escalated to a law firm, I think that you should let me know and advise. I am not in a position to quit. But from where I stand, you are not working for me but using my hardship situation to prey on for your sister company to charge an even greater rate. Settlements are too slow. I have one in 8 months. But I clearly hold enough to pay out another. I am not understanding why not.

Updated on 03/12/2020: They've settled five debts for me so far. I was in such a panic when I started this because I didn’t know which way to turn. But the customer service was excellent when I enrolled. They said somebody would be contacting me the next day and a girl did. She went through it step-by-step with me and took down all my information. Then when I have questions, sometimes, I try to talk to Jennifer but usually, it's just whoever is available. I wish the payment was just a little less but it is what it is.

I am just starting this journey but so far I am very happy with the way everything has been handled. Things were explained in a manner that I could easily understand. Everyone was polite and caring. I wanted to join this company for a long time but was very worried about what would happen and when I finally decided to call I was put at ease right away.

I've only had 1 debt settled and that was only settled because I was being sued. I now have to pay $40 more per month on that debt than I paid before enrolling, and your company missed paying the 1st payment on the settlement so now it's a possibility that they will void the agreement and sue me again.

Customer Service was really lacking. I had paid over $5000 more before any attempt was made to look into a matter of duplicate accounts. I was passed around various persons and had to restate to each of them what I wanted. Full disclosure of their settlement process is a maze and not fully spelled out.

Overall the service was good. I did, however, assume the process would only take 48 months but it turned out to be longer than expected. I began in 2012 and was free of debt by 2017. The only downside through the whole process was when I had to repeatedly ask for the status of the last two accounts. I do not know which end the problem happened but I was a little disappointed that it had taken so long for them to get resolved. I am just glad that the whole ordeal is over. It has been a long drawn out process for me.

I reviewed several debt relief programs and decided on this one. It just seemed better suited for my situation. There were times I was unnerved due to threats of litigation from some of my debtors. I found that open communication with FDR was essential, they let me know things they thought I should do and assured me they were doing what they could. It all worked out terrifically. Assistance no longer needed due to lack of funds and Freedom's failure to negotiate with discover accounts; legal service was professional but lacked ability. Your service is not effective with larger account. You lose track of customers and don't alert them of risks or account failures.

I'm fairly new. I just joined and waiting for results. It takes about two to three months to see results. I would recommend a friend to join without any hesitations. Customer service are very helpful if you have any questions. They answer very politely and with courtesy.

The people that I talked to throughout the process were very helpful and patient with me. I am not very good on the computer, but they each helped me do what I needed to do to get through the paperwork. The only thing that I could find fault with was the percentage rate that you charge. When we signed up, the percentage rate was at an all time low, but you charged us 22+ percent. That seems very high when compared to other loan percentages for other products. I suppose once you had us enrolled, we were stuck.

Great experience, just as described. Having borrowed monies in good faith, I wanted to resolve these debts in good fair after my business closed. FDR has helped me do that. The money and time saved through this experience has been extremely beneficial.

Without Freedom Financial, I would still have enormous credit card debt. The process was easy and customer service reps were always amazingly friendly and helpful. The only reason I don't award 5 stars is because it was difficult to pay an additional amount on top of my monthly minimum. Unless it's paid on the same day as my regular payment due date, the extra amount was deducted from my next regular payment. But that was a minor lesson learned and I did in fact pay off this loan early. Thank you for an amazing experience and a professional means to manage debt.

Their bookkeeping is accurate and I've been notified consistently as to what is going on with the money I'm paying in to my debt reduction. At this point there's nothing I can say that's been negative about the company. However I have only been dealing with them for 3 months.

I anticipated this to be a much quicker resolution to my credit card debts, instead, it drags on and only one of my creditors has been satisfied with a settlement amount. Meanwhile, my credit score has gone totally down the drain. I was up to date on all my accounts, none were in arrears.

The FDR representative I spoke with was courteous, patient, very knowledgeable, and able to answer all my questions without hesitation, with satisfactory truthful words. His pleasant voice and demeanor made it easier to accept this assistance without shame. I am happy to have chosen FDR.

Very helpful experience for someone like me who is in financial hardship. Customer service is outstanding and very accommodating. Ryan ** is a very good financial advisor and explains very clearly all details. Very commendable person. I immediately referred the program to a co-worker who is also having financial hardship.

It took awhile, about a year I guess or right at it but I'm beginning to see progress. The maddening phone calls has almost come to a stop. I have faith that Freedom Debt Relief will completely resolve my credit card debt issue.

My only problem was in the beginning I think all creditors should be told you're consolidating instead of creditors calling and sending nasty letters until everything was paid or negotiated. That was my only problem and I think it should be done a different way. Thank you for your service.

So far, two major credit card debts have been negotiated. It was a great relief that I did not have to deal with the attorney representing one of the credit cards nor did I have to appear in court. Overall I was happy with my experience. Unfortunately I wished it would have been more financially helpful, but I guess with any services that help people pay off debt you can't expect too much. I'm speaking of the percentage rate and amount of time I would have had to pay off my debt. It just turns out to be forever, and I appreciated the help but also was fortunate to pay it off early. The unfortunate part is they are still charging my account even after pay off. This is why I gave 2 stars.

I'm disappointed in the fact that I was told there would be a lawyer to represent me if I had to go to court. I get summoned to court and call them to let them know I need my lawyer only to find out I had to call within the first two days or my lawyer can't help. What good is the extra 12 dollars if the lawyer can't represent me in court? That means I'm still in trouble. No relief, still stressing! I'm starting to wonder how they are helping me if I'm getting summoned to court and can't use a lawyer.

I was deep in credit card debt, partially because of my own bad decisions, and partially due to circumstances beyond my control, so I finally decided to take hold of the situation and happened upon your company. While technically the issue was "solved," the amount I still have to repay until Feb 2019 is disappointing, and I also have to pay back $5000 in taxes. It's definitely bittersweet. I understand this is my own problem, and I came to you for help. However, I feel like not a lot was really done to reduce my payments. In fact, they're only slightly less than if I'd just done it all myself. I'm glad I learned my lesson with credit cards, because I never want to have to do this again. On a positive note, any time I've called or dealt with a representative, they've been amazingly nice and reassuring. They should all be commended. Having said that, I would never use the service again.

I requested that the automatic draft date for my account be modified and it was not done. This has resulted in fees from my bank that I now have to try and get reversed. The agent that contacted me about the modification did not respond to my authorization to modify.
