I initially decided to allow Freedom Debt Relief to help me gain control back of my life when I decided I wanted to try to buy a house in my early 30's. I'm in my late 20's now, and if I decided to pay my credit cards off on my own, I would do so in 23 years. Yeah, not an option. Not to mention if I decided to go at the credit card companies on my own, they may settle for a smaller amount in the future, but they would want a lump sum, which frankly I don't have since I am on a fixed income. But I was still uncertain of which options would benefit me the most in my situation.

I was extremely impressed by the courtesy, professionalism, tactfulness, and friendliness shown in this entire transaction. I was extremely thankful that the process was not painful nor extremely difficult. Each of the consultants who spoke to me were very easy to understand, very knowledgeable and pleasant. I am so grateful and I have hope - thank you so very much!!

Both Amanda ** and Jaqard were very helpful and cleared up my questions and concerns. Some of the wording on the paperwork sent to me was confusing regarding the payback debt and how it works. Also today when I got an email stating there was some activity on my acct and when I logged in it only listed 5 of my 6 accounts but in another area it had all six and the last 4 digits didn't seem to match. I sent a reply to this.

Patrick ** was very polite and kind. I seemed like I was talking to family. Very informative. Patrick really wants to see me get out of debt. My reason for getting into debt is because of medical issues. I had breast cancer in 2002, 8 chemo treatments and 30 radiation treatments. I also had right hip replacement surgery that did not work, doctors had to do a hip revision.

Just started so all I know was the application process which was great. Since then this is the first I've heard from anyone. I didn't what was going on. I didn't know if I should keep paying My credit cards if my payment to You has been withdrawn from My checking account.

I was please with the outcome but would have liked it more had my debt been reduced even more. It did not take as long as I thought it would. I now still have about 2 1/2 years to get my debt settled.

I enrolled in the Freedom Debt Relief Program in August of 2016 and due to consistent payments, they offered me the opportunity to receive a consolidated loan and paid off my debts, leaving me with one payment. They were able to reduce all my debts by at least 50% or more. The consolidated loan was a savings of over $20K. I am so glad I found this program, it has taught me to budget and be more discipline with my finances.

Whenever I have a question or comment, the customer service personnel immediately responds in a professional, efficient way. After a very short time span following enrollment in the program already 2 issues with credit card companies have been settled. Since my enrollment, I have been very content with my experiences with Freedom Debt Relief.

At this time I would like to drop out of this program. Effective immediately I would like to stop my automatic payment. I have had to do most of the work and have talked to the companies I owe to work my payments out. After satisfactory results I no longer need your service.

I saw an ad about Freedom Debt Relief one Saturday evening on my computer, and no sooner had I finish filling out the application I receive a call. It's been five months since I entered the program, and exactly as their advisors said, we are now seeing creditors come to the table! So far, the savings are more than $8K, and I believe we are on track to be debt free in four years! What a great team to work with!

We are so happy so far. They have taken care of everything, they have been very pleasant to speak with. I highly recommend them. The thought of being debt free is overwhelming, but Freedom Debt is proving it can be done.

Overall program saving were wonderful. But, be ready to claim all canceled debts as income. The negative impact was, taxes had to be paid for the additional income and once I did my Federal taxes, I owe the IRS the difference.

It has taken longer to get the first settlement than I was lead to believe it would be. A total of 8 months. And due to all the added late fees for those months, the program only saved me a total of 350 dollars on the original amount listed. When entering the program they tell you they can save you 1/4 to sometimes 1/2 of the debt amount. I no longer feel I made a good choice in going with Freedom. I have 3 other accounts waiting on settlements, and I don't expect better results with those. I don't feel any better now than when I went into the program.

I was requested to submit an alternate address and phone number to the creditors to avoid unwanted calls and mail. The problem with this was that apparently no one was screening this mail henceforth, 1099-C tax forms were never forwarded to the correct address resulting in taxes not being paid on time. It was necessary for me to contact each of the creditors and request a copy of this form to be able to pay the correct taxes. This was, in my opinion, not a good business practice on their part.

It is taking a very long time to get my bills paid off and I keep receiving additional fees each month. I'm bombarded with phone calls and emails from my creditors. I expect Freedom to talk to them and handle my accounts. So far only one creditor has been negotiated with. And I don't like the fact that if not all of the bill is paid I have to report the unpaid amounts on my taxes as income. Now I'm worried that I will have a huge tax bill this year to pay.

The communication response time from the moment I fax something is in the 50-72 hours or longer timeline. I feel that I need a better response time. I would also appreciate a more pro-active follow up as to the WHOLE process. Also, I tried to add an account after one was deleted and they never added as price was too high for only a few thousand more. This was misleading!

I believe Freedom Debt should take a more proactive approach to reinstating a customer's credit rating (fico score). It would increase customer satisfaction tenfold... since Freedom interacts with the creditors directly. In my case when I started Greenleaf told me my fico would only drop 10 points but it has dropped over 100 points. By taking responsibility Freedom would be a very very attractive alternative to chapter 7 or 11 bankruptcy.

Updated on 11/19/2020: Freedom Debt Relief negotiated my debt. Most of it was cut in half. Peter was pretty good and helpful and explained everything about the program. Peter was my consultant. He seemed really confident, and he was willing to help. He was really professional, too. He told me not to worry about the creditors when they're harassing and threatening. He said to just send everyone to Freedom Debt, and they’ll handle it, which kind of made me feel pretty good. I'm happy that I went with Freedom Debt. They made the payment plan where it was affordable for me to pay. My life has been a lot better. I was able to re-establish my credit. I learned a lot from them. It is a good program. It helped me feel more confident of learning more about credit and how to deal with it. My overall experience with them has been pretty good.

I would like better communication. I was advised to use your sister company for consolidation. I see the advantages of consolidation, but why would I want to exchange debt for more debt at a much higher interest rate. That is predatory lending in my opinion. Nobody from Freedom Debt Relief contacted me as to why that is a good move. When a debt is escalated to a law firm, I think that you should let me know and advise. I am not in a position to quit. But from where I stand, you are not working for me but using my hardship situation to prey on for your sister company to charge an even greater rate. Settlements are too slow. I have one in 8 months. But I clearly hold enough to pay out another. I am not understanding why not.

I am Satisfied So Far, with everything that has been done. As we progress and I see results I will be more aware of how I feel. My experience so far is mainly understanding what is being done. Just going through the setup process and seeing how it work is an experience in itself.
