All those I've spoken to at Freedom Debt Relief have been so patient with me when my payment is not on time. This is all so difficult for me, as I am not only disabled, but have been forced to retire from my part time job, due to a divorce. I'm trying not to file bankruptcy.

I was not happy that we were not told at the beginning that we would receive 1099 for the amounts not satisfied and would have to claim on income tax. I think that would have been told to us upfront and it cost us a lot of money in the end so disappointing!

I signed up with them when I was going through a divorce and refused to file bankruptcy. They told me I could get this resolved in approx 36 months and my credit would be repaired quickly. What a scam!! They have taken months to negotiate settlements and when you call to ask questions or send emails you just get the runaround. I was at my rock bottom and vulnerable going through a divorce and they took total advantage of that. My credit scores dropped and I am now getting sued from one of my creditors which I believe they never called them despite the letters I forwarded to them. This is my life and my future and obviously this means nothing to them. I have worked hard my whole life and tried to be responsible. I would have been better off filing bankruptcy. I see all the bad reviews and the fact they have settled lawsuits against them and now I know why.

We cancelled their services because they lied to us and told us that we wouldn't get sued by anyone which we did, even though we showed them the letters. The percentage they take from your money is insane (20%) considering you can do it all on your own if you take the time to call your creditors. They tell you not to answer the phone but in reality 100% of our creditors were more than willing to work with us and were incredibly understanding of our situation, even after going over 150 days without a payment. Our scores went from over 750 to under 530 in the span of a few months.

Horrible experience. I had to call many many times for over a year to have my last account closed with Freedom, and that was after I dealt with the credit card company to reach a settlement myself. Every time I called customer service, I was told they resolve it, only to find out they didn't do anything. Hours and hours of my life I can't get back.

Difficult to contact after contract was signed. I was excited about the program at first. Then I started reading about lawsuit. I tried to cancel on the document but it wouldn't let me. I tried calling they said I have to contact the assigned mentor. Also I didn't like the amount of the fees monthly over $100. Very disappointed.

How does a Company claim that they are saving you money and helping you reduce your debt, and then charge you more money than was saved on the account? The guy handling my account was definitely telling me information to try and get me to settle with him vs a competitor when he said he'd help reduce all accounts and make sure he'd walk me through every step of the debt forgiveness. Now he barely returns my emails and I find out I have to pay taxes on the debt forgiven based on 1099-C forms as well as pay more than Freedom has helped me save on this account.

IF you want to be lied to, robbed, treated like another dollar, please sign up. Talk about being shady. I had a horrible feelings of signing up. If you dont know how it works, basically they tell you to stop paying your credit and put money into their account until they can settle with your creditors when you have enough. What they DIDNT tell me was that you have to pay them like 50% in damn fees, while you can settle it yourself with the banks.

Had such a good experience working with Andre. He was so nice and was keeping me up to date and on track. He helped me find the best option for myself. I was lost and almost put myself into more debt by taking out a loan. Didn't know there was other options.

Today I made the first step to get rid of heavy outstanding credit card debt. I was paying double and sometimes triple on the cards and watched the balances go down very slowly due to interest rates. Now it's over.

I thought I was in good hands, but they did more harm than good. My credit score actually got worse with them. Some debts did get paid really fast, but once my account hit the one-year mark, my account representative made decisions on my debts that would take several years to pay off on very small amounts without my consent. They went in without my person and had a credit card that was in good standing charged off, and my bimonthly payments to them started to be deducted three to four days earlier than our contracted dates.

I called Freedom Debt Relief for help getting my finances in order. My agent was extremely helpful. He was very professional and explained each step thoroughly. He even helped me fill out all forms while on call. The Welcome tech was just as professional. The entire process was easy and quicker than I expected.

After you settled my debt, I hoped that my credit REPORT would be cleared. But to my dismay there 3 dings that still remain on the REPORT: Capital One (NEG Item); CBNA (NEG Item); and BARCLAYS BANK of DELAWARE (LATE). I thought that removing these NEGATIVE items from my CREDIT REPORT was part of your service. I called when I saw FDR when I saw the items on my CREDIT REPORT and was told these would be "taken care of". The items are still on my credit report. Is there any help that you can give me to get rid of these items?

Boy, what a canned response, they don't dare answer back to what I said because they know it's true. Be Careful. Read up and you can do what they do without the high fees. What they say they will save you is what they charge. So if you owe 20,000 and they say they can get it to $10,000 they will charge you $10,000 for their meager services.

I was not behind on any payments. At time I was curious from email and when I was contacted next day for investigating email and options on debt he made it sound the only way out of debt. Next thing I know I was signed up and now I feel screwed. I could have made payments required maybe late but made them.
