This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a company. I had to continually keep track of what was going on with my account. No one knows what is happening with the account. Would look elsewhere if had to do again.

We had four accounts that we wanted to merge together and lower our interest rate and be able to pay off quicker. They were able to consolidate only three. This will still help us lower the debt quicker and about one-third of the overall payments.

Freedom Debt Relief helped me big time. I don't know where I would be right now if they didn't help me pay off my debt. Most of my monthly paychecks were going towards all my credit card bills. I have been in the program nearly 4 years and still have 2 cards that haven’t even been negotiated yet! A balance of over 3k in my acct. and instead paying things off we are send tiny monthly payments. I find out after all this I had a lump payment option on the negotiated cards. I want this done and over with. I would never do this again.

It was a good program but job lose destroyed it all. Now don't know what to do. It would have been nice if more creditors would have been on board and getting something out of this. Now I have not income coming in. I out looking for a job.

This seems to be a great company to deal with. I had to cancel my account because I broke my shoulder and wasn't able to work to pay my payments. I'm hoping to resign when my case is settled. They were getting payment settled with all of my bills and consolidating them for me.

I was pleased with the service I had concerning with the closing of my credit card accounts. But I was led to believe the Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) would help with getting the settled cards off my CREDIT REPORT. To date I still have 3 Credit Cards still on my Credit Report that are derogatory. Please advise me if FDR can help with this or should I go to a different agency to get this done.

I used this company and thought I had finished paying everything off over a 5.5 year time-frame. It was very difficult but it was worth it... I thought. I received a graduation letter that I had satisfied my debt. I received an unused balance from my payment account back. Then 2 years later I am hauled into court because a $250 payment never cleared. Now that company wanted the full balance, $6000.00.
This happened because Freedom Debt Relief sent a payment from my acct, it did not clear, and they had since refunded to me, all of the excess money from my account once the last payment was made to the credit card company 2 yrs before. Therefore the credit card company considered it a default to their agreement which allowed them to go after the whole balance, non negotiated. It is and was a mess. They didn't email me or call me. I found out when a summons server knocked on my door. Nightmare. Freedom Debt Relief did not help me one bit. It was a horrible experience. Also the online tools never worked so it was hard to manage their accuracy.

The only thing I would have changed about the experience is asking how long it would take as I was at work and it took longer than I expected but the rep just kept talking. I filled out a form online and within minutes Angeleah had called me. I felt overwhelmed with my credit but she never made me feel uncomfortable as she was asking questions. I was not happy that we were not told at the beginning that we would receive 1099 for the amounts not satisfied and would have to claim on income tax. I think that would have been told to us upfront and it cost us a lot of money in the end so disappointing!

I signed up with them when I was going through a divorce and refused to file bankruptcy. They told me I could get this resolved in approx 36 months and my credit would be repaired quickly. What a scam!! They have taken months to negotiate settlements and when you call to ask questions or send emails you just get the runaround. I was at my rock bottom and vulnerable going through a divorce and they took total advantage of that. My credit scores dropped and I am now getting sued from one of my creditors which I believe they never called them despite the letters I forwarded to them. This is my life and my future and obviously this means nothing to them. I have worked hard my whole life and tried to be responsible. I would have been better off filing bankruptcy. I see all the bad reviews and the fact they have settled lawsuits against them and now I know why.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. They are not honest about their fees, they don't work on your behalf and they do nothing to make things right. I am so disappointed and disheartened that a company can take advantage of you when you are down and you are then left to pick up the pieces again. Thanks for nothing Freedom Debt.

We cancelled their services because they lied to us and told us that we wouldn't get sued by anyone which we did, even though we showed them the letters. The percentage they take from your money is insane (20%) considering you can do it all on your own if you take the time to call your creditors. They tell you not to answer the phone but in reality 100% of our creditors were more than willing to work with us and were incredibly understanding of our situation, even after going over 150 days without a payment. Our scores went from over 750 to under 530 in the span of a few months.
It's incredibly disappointing that a company that claims to help you when you've hit rock bottom will actually do the opposite and leave you in a worse off situation. Having late payments will be on your record for several years, not answering the phone is exhausting and the fact that YOU can actually do what they're doing is even worse because they lead you to believe that the creditors will not work with you and that you NEED their services. There's a reason why they're getting sued. When we terminated our agreement with them they did not refund us not a single penny of over $4,000 from the one settlement they actually followed through with. We are still down and they didn't do anything to get us that settlement, they just held out until the credit card caved.
DO NOT use them, I recommend truly taking responsibility for your situation and calling the creditors yourself. I did and in one rainy day I was able to settle all my accounts which were close to $200k. It is not impossible and the calls will end and you will be in a much better situation. The level of stress and damage this company has caused us is awful.
Just remember to look at your settlements because you will be surprised when you click YES to that TEXT message and go to your dashboard and realize that the credit card is not settled yet because they took over 20% up front of the TOTAL amount, not the settled amount. Click NO to any settlement or best yet DO IT YOURSELF; it feels better and you won't lose any money. We tried reasoning with them to get our money back and their answer was no after we tried to contact them more than 4 times. They won't give you your money back because according to them they didn't do anything wrong and it was your fault, you go into this mess. So much for a company that wants to help you.

Was so please with how willing to help this company is. Went above and beyond to help me to start getting out of debt. Called and was told I didn't qualify, then I received a email that the guy I talked to took it upon himself to see if there was any way I could get help. Steve my guide did a great job telling me about the program and how it works. I look forward to saving a little money and getting myself back out of debt and back in control of my life. Horrible experience. I had to call many many times for over a year to have my last account closed with Freedom, and that was after I dealt with the credit card company to reach a settlement myself. Every time I called customer service, I was told they resolve it, only to find out they didn't do anything. Hours and hours of my life I can't get back.

Freedom Financial stepped in until I could get my feet dry from my unrelenting bills I had with two cancer treatments. If it was not for them being my buffer between the creditors, I would not be in such a stable position financially as I'm in now.
