I've been with the program for six months and I got my first settlement. I know that there's a waiting period, but as I'm watching my credit score go down and my stress level going up I still have creditors calling me but don't want to negotiate with the settlement company.

I am very happy with all information supplied by the whole team. I believe I spoke with three different people on the whole process. They went over and over and giving all scenarios that I should be aware of. The idea that I could be in two years being out of the debt sounds miracle. Credit card debt was essentially cut in half in most cases and was completely paid off within 4 years, while it would have easily been 12-15 years on my own with a difference of about $20k in principal and interest. The tracking feature is nice to check once in a while to see how you're progressing. Overall, the program is simple and it works. For the money, and years it saved me, I'm glad that I enrolled in the program and would recommend it to anyone that is overwhelmed with their credit cards and wants to relieve the burden and stress.

Recommended by a good friend, when my husband went on strike it was very hard to pay for my cards. I call them and explain my situation and they took care of everything. I didn't have to do nothing. They even took the money out of my account, and on every settlement they text or e-mail me. Everything was done and pay for in about 3 to 6 month.

First, please note the only reason they received the 2nd star is that there were some accounts that were resolved; however, only those companies they work "closely" with. If they don't have a relationship with the credit company, they will continue to collect your money in escrow and no progress is made. My concerns/requests went unanswered for nearly 6 months before I filed a BBB complaint and received a personal call from their VP of Customer Relations who conveyed numerous promises, none of which materialized.

They were very helpful and nice when helping with my debt to get the process to work for me. I was called back when they said I would be and emailed back also. I was sent a packet as said for any questions that I would have. The next day I could set up my online account.

NLLG negotiated and I am very conflicted about Freedom and NLLG and their role in error resulting in my higher payments.

First settlement was good. I think the next step is to settle with Discover and Bank of America. These two have been calling and sending letters, with Discover wanting to put a judgment on me in 30 days. Please address this as soon as can be expected in order to move forward. Thanks.

Freedom Debt Relief settled 3 accounts in 5 months which is great BUT... What I've learn from this company is that for each and EVERY settlement they do they will charge 23% settlement fee from the whole dollar amount owed. For example if you have a credit card that is $1,565.00 and they settle for half expect to get charged a $359.95 fee for the settlement. I spoke to a rep and informed her that Macy's had sent me a letter stating that they were willing to settle with me for more than half of what I owed and I then asked her if they were still going to charge me the fee if they contact Macy's and settle for the amount that they offered and I was told yes! I then took the Macy's card out of the account and I settled with them myself (with monthly payments) for 60% less than what I owed and guess what. I didn't have to worry about getting charged a fee.

Freedom Debt has been good with trying to get my debt down, they payroll deduct every other week and they have been negotiate the payoff for my credit cards, that alone is a big help. Once they make the negotiate they email me to go in and approve the payment to that Creditor.

With the death of my husband in August, I was left with a good bit of credit card debt, and being on SS only, there was no way I could repay the debt. I would have hoped that these request would have taken place by now but no actions have occurred. I have no other complaints though the service for the past four years has been very good and have accomplished my goal of paying off all my debts

Updated on 08/01/2020: Freedom has taken care of my credit cards and they've gotten right around 50% to 60% off each one of the credit cards. I'm finishing my third one. It’s gonna be done next month and then, it’s the big one that they have to work on. But they said they won't start the negotiation until May. When I call Freedom for a question, they answer it. If it's through a negotiation and I need to verify that it's okay, then they let me know by text or even a phone call, and let me know to go onto my desktop.

Was very hesitant to try this than a bankruptcy. So glad I did, as my debt is finally going away. Make payments, they settle the debt. Very satisfied. I have the website as one of my favorites, ship I can constantly check my progress. Would highly recommend.

While I realize it is a Safety issue... It gets frustrating when I need a quick answer & can't get it because I am missing personal information.

Freedom Debt Relief is a great organization. I have not been with them long and already they have settled one of my creditors for a quarter of what they wanted. Just getting started. Having trouble getting online all the time. They keep saying my password is not correct. I've submitted several times and still get rejected. When I call they give me a temporary one and then I can't enter a new one. Very frustrating.

I was told that after about 90 days, my creditors would stop contacting me. It’s been a bit over 4 months and I’m still getting calls, emails, certified letters and one notice that one account has been turned over to a collection agency. Only one of my accounts has been settled in this 4 months. I was hoping for faster results in communicating with my creditors. I’ve emailed my contact there, but have not heard back. I am concerned. I feel a bit misled. The initial person I spoke to said he'd help me throughout the entire process only to have the person directly from the hotline say that's not true and that you guys will not help me with Tax information and having a specific person to update regarding settlements. I was quite disappointed. As well, the person I spoke to wasn't very personable or kind and was just kind of like, "no that's not something we offer. Sorry. Whoever told you that is wrong." And was just very cold.

I have just begun this process so I don't have any feedback as of yet other than to say it was a fairly easy process to initiate. Once I get some time and a couple of accounts settled, I'll have a better idea of how satisfied I am. Let's hope for success!

Everyone has been helpful along the way except gentleman who signed me up. He disappeared once I was on board. Made promises that weren't accurate. Slow process/feel out of loop sometimes. Be prepared to take a step back before moving forward.

Well up to the present time I'm in a waiting period to negotiate with the banks I guess. The only thing that we notice is the type of employees that work with this company (Freedom Debt Relief). They seem to be very Professionals on this Matter. They want me to be wait for the time that takes to accumulate funds in order to deal with the Banks, the only things for me to do is wait and hope for the best on this transaction.

The first settlement was done more rapidly than I expected and was also the one that I thought would be the most difficult to deal with. I am only 3 months into the program and am very satisfied with their progress so far. The first settlement was settled at 40 cents on the dollar. I was a little skeptical in the beginning but now that things are starting to get underway my skepticism is fading away. Keep up the good work FDR.

Take their time handling accounts even though you have money in your accounts to settle them. No supervisors to talk to. Never return calls, never do follow ups. Take more time verifying a call than anything else. Will not use this company again.

It took a little longer than the estimated time frame but overall I'm very pleased that all the debt I submitted was settled. The calls I was receiving stopped. They kept me informed with each account that they made a settlement on with the cardholder company. The money that was left over was reimbursed back to me. Great Job!!!!

I believe the amount of money being taken each month is too high. The dollar amount is almost equal to what I was paying each month. As of this date you have settled 1 out of eight creditors for over half of what was originally owed. That doesn't seem like that great a deal to me.

I am very pleased with the support I've been since we entered the program. The Nat Lit Group did a wonderful job getting my Law Suit dismissed and every time I had a question or a concern they are to answer the question. But I do have a concern when an associate calls wanting to help with one of my accounts and then never returns the calls to resolve the question. I believe that part of customer service is important and am still waiting for her to call back.
