I have been going back and forth about entering the program. I absolutely hate change and the thought of giving up my credit cards I had, one for over 13 years, gave me so much anxiety. Finally after running the numbers over and over and talking with my family and boyfriend I decided to just pull the trigger and enroll. I literally only enrolled in the program a day ago but already feel so much relief. Before It seemed like I was climbing up muddy hill... eventually I would get to the top but it would take forever, I would keep slipping setting myself back even more, and get so tired along the way. I finally see the stairs on the other side and am going to take those! Sure there is a LOT of them, but I know for certain I'll get to the top and be so much happier! (Super cheesy analogy!)

Don't ever sign up with this company. We did everything they told us, paid all of the money they asked us to on time into our account. They ruined our credit beyond repair. Settled the smallest debt but had no problem taking their money for their fee. Once 2 of the companies filed lawsuits against us they asked us to put more money into our account on top of the payment we agreed upon at the beginning that they said would be sufficient to settle our accounts. We cancelled with them and they took the remaining 667.00 out of our account that they told us we would get back because we cancelled with them and said it was for a fee we owed them. They will rip you off!!!

I have been contemplating ways to get my debt paid off for a while, but I was very worried about how difficult it would be to figure out. I must say, I was so delighted with the process from the very beginning. I couldn't have asked for it to have gone any better. Dominick ** is by far the absolute best! He worked diligently with me through every step of the way. He answered all my questions and concerns (+), he answered my emails & calls promptly. He is extremely knowledgeable of the company and the processes! Dominick made me feel comfortable and was non-judgmental of my situation. I just don't think I would have been open to another type of personality. He is very good at what he does. A wonderful asset to your company!
I have worried beyond belief about my credit issues for months. How I was going to fix this awful mess I was/am in. After working with Dominick, now I feel such a relief! The write-off from the Sears account which was taken over by Portfolio Recovery Associates was not agreed to after initial review. I am very upset because the PRA continued to add fees after I was enrolled in the program and I am still paying the collection agency more than the original amount due.

This fine gentleman explained things clearly and answered all questions. Terrific attitude, not pressuring, very patient and polite. So far it's been a good experience and very much appreciated. Michael, the Freedom Debt Relief consultant we worked with was incredibly helpful. Before calling, I had done my own research and reviewed the other debt recovery options to understand the pros and cons of each solution and why the FDR program was really the only way for us to proceed. Two medical emergencies and a huge loss on a home we could no longer afford after a job loss led us to look for a way out and, with Michael's help, we established a method. They were incredibly clear about the positives of the program, as well as clear about the negatives we would experience on our road to debt recovery.
I was skeptical before I called, as I had read several reviews that had criticized Freedom's methods. Doing my own research and understanding their simple process, clearly explained in detail to me and my wife by Michael, meant we were able to enter into an agreement with FDR with our eyes wide open, with knowledge of what was to come, clear definitions of how FDR could help us communicate with creditors, and an easy to use dashboard allowing us to constantly keep tabs on their performance.
To be fair, there is no loss of shame in admitting you are in a hole too deep to crawl out of, but with FDR's assistance, my wife and I are looking forward to a not-so-far-away future where that hole is all filled in. This was an extremely frustrating company to work with. There are too many employees and no one ever seems to have access to any of the previous conversations. Every time I call, I'm given conflicting information. I've received multiple payoff amounts. I wish I had negotiated the accounts on my own. My credit is ruined, and the company has taken a ridiculous amount of money from me in fees. I will never recommend them to anyone.
Updated on 05/15/2018: I received an email from a representative who wanted to resolve my issues with the company. I spoke with Alyxandra, and she fully justified the negative review that I left on this website. Not only did she fail to resolve any of the issues that I'm having with the company, but she also managed to create a new one. I had recently spoken with a representative, Antonio, who gave me the amount that would be needed in order to start negotiations on my final account. He also gave me the ridiculous amount of fees that I would owe the company for this service. He did not clarify that the entire amount (negotiations plus fees) would be needed.
I deposited more into the account than was required in order to start the negotiation, but not the entire amount which included the fees. Alyxandra informed me today that they would not negotiate with me unless I deposited the amount for fees as well. My negative reviews are not only justified, but the interaction prompted me to further elaborate on my review. Please don't make the same mistake that I did. Try to settle your debt on your own. Even if you can negotiate with your creditors for a smaller amount, you would avoid the fees that Freedom Debt Relief is charging for the "favor" they are doing for you. By "favor" I mean poor communication, inconsistent information, poorly trained representatives, ridiculous fees, and a destroyed credit score!

Today I enrolled through the FDR agent Brandon. He was so much help and took the time to answer all my questions and more!
