This has been a big relief to have someone else work out the payment plan with my creditors. I would highly recommend anyone to check out this program before filing bankruptcy. It is also easy to check online to see how your bills are coming and what is being paid on.

In two years my credit reports gone up like 60 points. 4 more years and it'll be great. Almost to 600. Customer service is a little bit of a pain, but it's worth it. Dashboard is nice and user friendly. Constant email updates and settlements are usually half of what I owe.

This company makes it sound all great. They say your credit will improve however they leave out that the debt settlements show up as negative marks for 7 years so no your credit does not improve. Seriously unhappy with this company. Just a money hungry company. After paying them their fees I could have paid the credit companies in full and my credit would be great.

I needed to reduce my total bills and Freedom Debt Relief was able to come up with a program that would help me. They explained things clearly and gave me a timeline of the progress I would make if I went in to the program. They took all of my debts and they negotiated or are in the process of negotiating with the companies to get a reduced settlement.
Everyone I’ve had to deal with has been very clear and very helpful. They made sure that if something came in, they needed my approval. They explained why they needed my approval and I was able to be informed when I gave them my approval for each action that came up or decision that had to be made. It was very helpful that they are nice. They are also very pleasant and patient people. The payment plan was every two weeks which was nice and it was very easy to be consistent.
Freedom provided very good service and I’m very impressed. The program really helped me get my finances under control and there was a lot of things that happened in my life. This is really helping me to reduce my stress, my problems, and makes everything better with not just me, but everybody that I’m connected with, like family and work. They helped me to straighten out my life. They’ve counseled me on what to do in the future after all of this is taken care of. It has really changed a lot in my life to where I’m more positive. I would tell others about Freedom and that they just need to talk to them. I’m sure that they’d be able to help them, no matter what their situation.

Freedom Debt Relief is very nice upfront. I like what they have offered and the interest rate. I also like their personality and what I could afford with it. I had gotten a summons to go to court so I called them. They took care of it so I don’t have to go to court now. They have settled my account twice. The rep who I worked with verified my information and checked what I was calling about then took care of everything. She was also very sweet and asked if I needed to have anything else done. We were in a credit card debt and we could see no way of being able to make payments. My husband was also in the hospital. I read about Freedom Debt Relief and that their reputation seems to be good and so I called to inquire and decided that that was the way I wanted to go. I talked to a really nice gentleman and he got us all signed up. He seemed interested in helping us. He was easy to talk to and not pushy. He also explained things well. Then, Freedom Debt Relief was really good about the payment plan. They were trying to ask me to make larger payments at one point but it was something I just couldn't do. The whole thing is moving along well except for our credit rating. I hate that, but it's bound to happen at some point. Still, Freedom Debt Relief has taken a little bit of our stress off and I'm satisfied with our experience.

I heard better things about Freedom Debt Relief, that they can help me out a lot faster and can help me pay off a larger amount of credit card debt than other companies. I worked with them and their consultants have been great. They have answered all my questions and have kept me updated on how everything is going. Also, the payment plan that they have set me up with has been good. Instead of paying one bill, they pay three or four different bills. Working with this company has made life a lot less stressful and has given me hope.

I was not aware how Freedom Debt received their pay for settling my debts. The person I spoke with explained how their system works. I was a bit taken aback about how much their share was then the lady explained to me how they arrived at that amount. My first thought was no wonder settlements take so long. I have been impressed with how kind and helpful everyone has been and the encouragement at the beginning. But the length of time it takes to get things resolved has been a surprise and very difficult. My credit score has tanked. Updated on 04/02/2020: They’re very well-communicative every time I've had to call them and ask for something. Then they’ve been able to get it done. In December, when I wanted to pay everything off and get everything done, they were quick to help me out, let me know what to pay and gave me the details of how the process would work. The whole process has been extremely seamless. It's fantastic. Now, I'm in the process of buying my first house so I'm very excited.

When my relationship ended, I figured down the line that I was gonna be in a financial situation so I joined a financial relief program with Freedom Debt Relief. The program I signed up with will take two years and I've been in it for a year now. Their reps contact me through email at least once a month regarding my account and I really like the way they’re handling my creditors. In the beginning of my sign up with FDR, I was very pleased. During the process of about five years, I did experience some discrepancies in the FDR processing: of sending FAX (which FAX number to use and whom to send to); speaking with some of the information agents by phone and getting different info about my account. I did work with two negotiating agents regarding one account, and felt confused as to what was happening with my account. The Hancock account was a problem in the end. One info agent told me the first Hancock account was not yet paid; Hancock would call me and said nothing had been done with either accounts. However, the first Hancock was paid, and the second Hancock was being negotiated. So, confusion! As for the online information, some of the information was correct, but not all info was there. Some of the form needed to troubleshooted, and requested such, but nothing was corrected.
Majorly, because so many people are involved in handling so many customers, I do understand FDR's dilemma. But, in spite of all the situations that evolved, I would positively recommend FDR to anyone in need of an agency that is able to handle creditors. Especially, the negotiating team needs to be rewarded for their efforts in knocking down some of debt. Thanks to all who helped me reach my goal.

My favorite feature is the virtual hands-off approach. I haven't had to do much but look at my dashboard, forward them any mail/documents from creditors and press approve for my settlements. It really doesn't get much better than that! The hardest part is your credit score will make a significant drop in the beginning, but it would have done that anyway. Great company, interface, and program.

I am so impressed with Freedom, for a year and a half before going with them I was with another company that was billing me a little over 800.00 a month and not once did anything ever get paid or even close to it. It was always something with trying to make arrangements but they always wanted more money. They made it where I could not even live, I couldn't get my medications, have any of my treatments done or even get the supplies I needed to take care of myself. I am disabled and can not work and my husband is the only one working.
But then one day Freedom called and I talked to the guy on the other end and he was so good and compassionate with me. I cried almost the whole time and had to hand the phone over to my husband, I really felt at the time if I was to die then that would take care of a few things. But this gentleman explained how their program works and that our payments would go down to about 290.00 a month. I was shocked, we have been with Freedom for 4 months or so and have paid off 3 credit cards and have never been asked for more money. I can now get my meds and my supplies that are needed to take care of me and the stress of all these bills are gone. Thank you Freedom for giving my life back to me.

We were not fully aware that the interest of 21% would be paid in full as debt resolved. When I called customer service to get an explanation the representative was reluctant to let me speak with management as there was not anyone. I insisted there must be someone. She finally had someone call me back who explained the process and I called Eric ** (he sold us the account) who explained how it works and it was in contract we signed. I think it is a sizable fee and delays payment of other debts when taken out all at once.

Nothing but good things! I can find everything I need on the dashboard! At first settlements were really fast and now not so much. I don’t know how they go about settling if they go for the larger balances first but there are a lot of small ones they could get rid of.

I have credit card debt and I got Freedom to help me settle it my creditors because their salesman was really nice and polite. He was worried enough that he talked to me around Christmas and even called me up from his mom and dad’s house at the time to make sure everything was all right. Also, I got concerns on whether the first payment went out to one of the customers. About $400 went to Freedom and I was kinda wondering why. Other than that, I like Freedom Debt Relief and working with them took a lot of relief off at a bad time.

I have never been more displeased with the service then with freedom debt relief. Lack of judgment on their part. They do not seek to help me but continuously ask for more money and wait for my creditors to show me through court hearings which I have to pay more than when I first started with FDR. Freedom Debt Relief is the biggest joke in rip off and helping people and I will not urge other people to use your service. You are costing me more money and placing my health in dire straits.

As I went through very bad divorce I was "stuck" with debt and decided to enroll with this company. When they try to sign you up they are nice and understanding but after they start taking your money nothing is as it was promised. For 8 months they took money out of my account and did nothing. As I forwarded letter and emails from creditors they reassured me that they are working on my behalf. I was stupid enough to believe since many incompetent people work for this company. They absolutely do not listen. Just repeat what they were told.
Warning letter from one of the creditors threatening with lawsuit was forwarded to them and they reassured me not to worry. Month later lawsuit was filed against me and guess what??? Freedom did NOTHING to help. I just received many excuses and I was told I need to take care of this issue. Stay away from this terrible lying company. If you have debt try to negotiate yourself. I am sure it will be worth trying.

I had perfect credit and the bottom fell out of everything. I've had credits in the 700s and then went through a personal crisis with my sister and I didn't want to file for bankruptcy. I looked on the internet and called Michael of Freedom Debt Relief and we worked it all out. I was in a very unpleasant situation and Michael was kind. He couldn't be nicer. He was human and understanding and didn't put pressure on me. He is the person I deal with the most, and he writes me nice emails and I inquire about his family. It's a good thing and I trust him.
All the things I had to sign and phone calls I had to make, went well. But I had trouble on the first month because there were still tremendous financial difficulties so we postponed the program for a month. I'm paying off, keeping some of my credit and then the other ones are going through Freedom Debt Relief. I pay $409 on the 3rd of every month and one creditor has already been settled. Michael told me to send him any correspondence that I receive from creditors where they want to negotiate and last Friday, I sent him some more. I send him certified return receipts and that's how we are operating so far. It's not like I had a tremendous amount of debt. It's just annoying and the sooner it gets resolved, the better it is to me. Michael is a great guy and Freedom Debt Relief is great as well.

I was told by Freedom Debt Relief to stop paying my bills because that's the only way they would help me. They said this would help me make deals, while negotiating with the creditors, when creditors start calling. They also convinced me that the deal I did with Freedom Debt Relief, was going to save me a lot of money.
Since April 2018 to August 2018, I have sent Freedom Debt Relief $8,760, and out of that huge amount I've sent to FDR, over $4,200.00 has been kept by Freedom Debt Relief as "FEES." That's right, almost half of the $8,760 has simply been FEES and they told me I will not get this back. Here's the breakdown of the few months I was with them:
April 2018 - $10.00 fee, $12.00 feeMay 2018 - $10.00 fee, $12.00 fee, $1,700 fee
June 2018 - $10.00 fee, $12.00 fee, $1,500 fee
July 2018 - $10.00 fee, $12.00 fee, $450.00 fee
August 2018 - $10.00, $12.00 fee, $450.00 fee = $4,212.00 (FEES TO DATE).
I'm thankful I caught this before I paid a lot of money to Freedom Debt Relief and not the bills that I'm now late on because Freedom Debt Relief told me that was the best thing to do. This didn't help me, in fact, it lined the pockets of this scam company. The $4,200 plus dollars kept as FEES could have paid off two of my debts already. Please, don't be fooled and negotiate on your own. You're better off keeping good relationships with your banks, then doing dirty business with Freedom Debt Relief. Freedom Debt Relief I don't want to speak to anyone else, I spoke with someone already and at the end of the day my credit score is ruined, nothing was accomplished and I'm out over $4,000. Do the right thing and at least refund half of my money, so I can pay the debt you all never did.

This has been the worst experience ever. Everytime I call customer service I get a different answer. Started with the enrollment and was told would not affect credit, but dropped it over 250 points. Continued with program and did not settle an account for almost a year. Now trying to "graduate" early and they have had all the money needed for over a month and have not paid an account off. Called customer service to find out hold up and was first told two weeks. Called back three weeks later and told by two different people in same phone call that it would be 30 days then told 30 business days. The whole time, I am still incurring fees while they hold my money hostage and will not pay off the debt that has already been negotiated. I would be very careful if you decide to use this company. They sell a good product up front, but it is all smoke and mirrors and you come out worse in the end.

Just a short list - we have been lied to everytime we call and get a different story, you have had all the money needed to payoff ALL of my debt and you refuse to do so, the representative at ** was suppose to contact me today for an update on my account and no contact (not surprising), was told credit score would not drop and dropped over 200 points, and the list goes on - there has been absolutely NOTHING about this experience and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to never use your services.

Stay away from Freedom Debt Relief!! They take advantage of individuals in vulnerable situation. Deal with the banks yourselves. Out of 4,500 I put into my dedicated account 2,300 went into fees alone and 900 into my debt! So I decided to cancel my account and get the rest of my money out of my dedicated account, only to find out that they took another 1,000 for extra fees!!! So I only got back less than 300!!! Best advice: If you decide to cancel, transfer your money out first then cancel a week later!! I asked a supervisor what would have happened if I did that, she said, "I don't Know." So in other words, I played it all wrong!!! Shame on them to use people in bad economic situations!

I already submitted a review in the past. They apparently were reached out to by Consumer Affairs, however after a few months they went back to being useless. I have had to negotiate my own credit settlements and then FDR tries to take the credit. I am now going to start paying them outside FDR instead of getting charged for them doing nothing. I also figured out that they have another agency NLLG who if you are paying for them will do the negotiations for you. And then FDR again will try to take the credit and charge you for work they didn't do. Stay away from this company and reach out to them to negotiate yourself. I am stuck paying for services that I could of go through another agency cheaper.
