When I signed up with FDR they failed to mention the enormous fees they charge, or if they did, it was said in a way that I didn't understand. I have received an email stating my so called debt free date, and it is much more than the max 48 months I was originally told. Back to the fees, when they reach a settlement with a creditor, you get charged a fee, which I must say again is enormous, it's not just a one time fee, but every month, when they reach another settlement they charge you this fee again, so now I have two settlements and the fees each month are almost half of what I'm paying in.

Tina ** is a Godsend. She was kind, compassionate and took the time to be sure I was okay before she ever proceeded with the "sale." I will definitely give anyone I know who is in financial straights Tina's number! Give that woman a raise or a backrub. :)

After the initial shock of being sued and having NLLG settle for more than what we originally signed up for as well as what we were originally being sued for, I kept checking my FDR Dashboard and found that my last two accounts were under "bulk negotiating." When I decided to call I noticed that one was taken back out as this was now due to another "third party" getting involved. This made me extremely stressed out so I called to inquire. The agent on the phone assured me that this was a good thing. I told him I wasn't convinced due to my being sued and having been now obligated to pay more and that my payment to the law firm was not much less than what is going into my designated account. I stressed how I really cannot afford another incident. He again assured me that the other two accounts were in a better bargaining position and that the additional deposit we had made (again, most people cannot do this) put them into a better position to negotiate. As I said before we are in this way to deep to turn back now. I did realize during conversation that I was more upset with NLLG than I was with FDR. It is still an emotional and financial rollercoaster and continues to be extremely stressful until I get word on the other two accounts that will hopefully be settled.

Your representative, Sherry **, was a joy to work with. She was very informative, knowledgeable, and understanding. Sherry made this potentially stressful experience (as many financial decisions are for seniors on Social Security) simple and was always open to any question that I had. The process was easy, quick, and without any hidden agendas. Thank you.

I was stunned when they told me I would have to stop making my monthly payments in order for them to be able to help me (because it shows that you are in financial hardship). They just kept insisting this was the only way I was going to get out of debt and to think about all of the money I would be saving (I was paying around $600 a month and they told me I would be depositing $260 per month, so a substantial savings). Don't fall for it. After sleeping on it (actually tossing and turning on it, worrying about not making my payments when I had never missed a single one) I decided this program was not for me. I was not comfortable not making my payments - again I had not missed any, although it was getting hard to do so. I kept thinking my credit was going to be in the toilet if I stop making payments, why would I want to do that?!

Jason was very good. I enjoyed working with him. He Answered all my questions and was very helpful and understanding. We are already feeling good about this decision and look forward to the progress a head of us.

Updated on 07/29/2020: I made a bunch of bad financial decisions and I was in the hole with credit cards. I got hooked up with those 0% transfers and as soon as you use one to pay off another, that’s when you should know you're in trouble. I didn't do that and I got to where those were growing up on me and I was getting ready to have to pay interest. I didn't have enough home equity to get a loan to cover up and I was just in bad shape. It was gonna put me under. This was the first credit card help relief program that I talked to. There are other ones out by different names but the first time, I picked the first one and the best one. I got an advertising letter in the mail and it was a place to start. When I made the phone call, that was what I thought, the more I talked to the guy. I kept him on the phone a long time and he was the one who evaluated whether you thought the company could help you or not.

Tori is absolutely fantastic. She's easy to talk to and worked with me fast so that I can get back on track. She gives you affirmation that you can get through it. I feel so much better knowing I will be debt free!

Your service is a complete scam. You take people's money but do not pay their bills. You then generate fraudulent bank statements that false show payments that were never made all while charging huge fees. I am now stuck dealing with a credit card company that hasn't been paid in three months while you have been paid every other week. Fraudulent company that I am reporting to all agencies and websites.

Use caution when enrolling with FDR. You are given scripts to tell your creditors but, the creditors continue to call. I'm not sure when FDR actually contacts them. It seems the only one getting paid is the bank where you deposit your funds. Also, be prepared for your credit score to drop over 150 points. Unfortunately, I did not fully understand the program and have been in it for over four months and the damage is done. So, I guess I'll have to ride it out and hope they do what they say. Unless you are severely behind on your bills and your credit is already ruined, I suggest you work out payment arrangements with creditors personally because I am still having to tell my creditors that, "I have every intention to pay you, I'm just not in a position to do so right now"!

So I've been working with FDR for a year now. I have paid off one creditor and half way to getting another one paid off. Unfortunately though, I'm being sued by Discover. I have the LLG working on that one but I can't hardly get any information from them. I have had 1 court date that they have continued. I get an email from them before memorial day saying that Discover has made an offer and they needed an answer within 2 days... which I did. Weeks later... STILL not heard anything back from them.

I took my debt to these people believing it would be a better option than my debt consolidation with Arvest bank (the payment was high and I had inconsistent work due to client's death). They said how they would work with my creditors and help me to pay off my debts, with a fee going to them. I did not expect they would leave my creditors with NO PAYMENTS until they took their percentage off the top. I had a credit rating in the high 700's and often 800's. I trusted them, I knew my credit would take a hit but I did not realize how long they would make people wait. Arvest bank charged interest but nominal fees, I am sorry I did not work harder to work things out with them. I continue as I am committed to seeing my creditors get paid.

I had a lot of debt and it was rough but, I was keeping up with my payments... I was going to retire in a few years and didn’t see how I would be able to pay the debt. I didn't really know how this program was so I called them. They had a really good salesman I guess because I fell for it. I talked to them about what route I should take and I was considering getting a second mortgage paying all these off with one payment at a lower rate. Or bankruptcy which I really didn’t want to do. Getting a second would also had be tax deductible. The salesman convinced me I needed to get this debt. I had excellent credit rating. They instructed me to stop paying my bills. It was really hard to do. Then the phone started constantly ringing from the debtors. Up to then I never missed a payment.

You default your payment and your credit score become very low - I never defaulted my payments but they offer that I am qualified for 40K- then they say you are not approved - then they will recommend you to a program with a no interest payment - telling me it’s own by Paul Allen - I know Paul Allen so I expect the company will payoff my debt and pay by installment for $560 a month for 48 months - but it’s not that way - they will settle your debt by our own - nothing is finance - I am cook by my own oil.

I am very frustrated with my experience with Freedom Debt Relief. I was promised a set amount of months for my payments and when it got close to being done with my payments I was told that they may need to have to extend my payment. They also failed to make settlements with all of my creditors that resulted in lawsuits that I had to settle. The customer service people are always friendly and attempt to help. The dashboard is not useful, it merely shows breakdown of payments, not really progress toward pay off goals.

I've been asking for someone to start negotiations and all I get is "insufficient funds". Meanwhile the balance keeps going up!! So what are you people doing to help me?? I'm currently retired and forking out close to $600 a month paying you and the Credit Union that sued me because the incompetent lawyer you assigned me left me a conference call number to contact him with. That required a password I didn't have. This has been an experience I would not recommend to anyone!!!
