Contacting Freedom Debt Relief was a very wise decision. They walked me through all the steps, explained what was to be expected and kept me updated along the way. I kept to the deposit schedule, and FDR was able to negotiate all of my accounts. My last account was paid off this week. I have nothing but great things to say about FDR.

They worked very well with us in negotiating lowering debts and for a consolidation loan with the sister company. Their attitude was also empathic and understanding throughout the process. I would recommend this to anyone with debt to net earnings ratio of one third or more.

I had been getting harassed to pay back some bills and I have been very ill and have been taking care of a very ill family member and I had lost my job a while ago and was then hit with terrible credit unable to pay off balances. I called out of my own good will to talk to a rep and he demanded for money I did not have and I tried for over 10 minutes to explain to him that I wanted to do a payment plan because I have left them unpaid for too long and I knew that wasn't right. I just recently got a job and it's my first week and I called these people and they passed me around to each other insulting me, saying I need to get my life straight if I don't have X amount of money to pay them IMMEDIATELY. They do not know of my family illness and decided to judge me by my age and literally made fun of me for being in debt.
I am left without words for this company who hires low people like this. I will do everything in my power and in social media to make sure no one deals with these people. I rather go bankrupt than cooperate with people who have mentally and emotionally abused me over the phone as I was trying to have good faith by calling them the moment I got a new job. This is unbelievable.
This is a terrible experience, Mr. Hijazi, and we are so sorry to hear you experienced this. You should not feel anything but supported when you reach out to our contact center. We cannot imagine demanding any kind of payment from you. We are a debt resolution company; we do not collect payments from our clients. Our clients place funds into an non-interest bearing account by making scheduled monthly deposits. If there is ever a time where a deposit cannot be made for whatever the reason, our advocates work really hard to accommodate the needs of our clients. I have to admit I want instant satisfaction and that is not how this works. I have been in the program for 10 months and 4 of my accounts have reached settlements. I would have hoped these could be reached faster given my bi-weekly payments are not insignificant. I was selected for an accelerated program due to my commitment to the program. I was subsequently not approved due to too many delinquent payments. This is counterintuitive given that I had never missed a payment before I started this program. I have done exactly what FDR instructed me to do but am now faulted for following instructions. This was highly discouraging.
FDR is known for excellent customer service per online reviews and financial forums. This was my experience with the initial debt advisor. He was excellent and knowledgeable. I have not had the same experience with further calls to FDR. Advisors that I have spoken with do not always seem to know the answers to my questions and this does not instill confidence. All being said, I plan to stick with the program as I don’t have many other options. I won’t be able to give a final review until I see that FDR can remove a charged off account from my credit report. I would also hope that I will be given another opportunity to accelerate my program given my dedication.

Amazed at what FDR has done for me. I was struggling to make minimum payments for all my cards. I contacted FDR, they were super helpful and encouraging. Five cards already paid off. With the help of FDR I will be out of debt a lot sooner than trying to do it on my own. So glad I called.

My experience with FDR has been very pleasant. I was so burdened down with credit card debt due to some expensive things that came upon me. FDR showed me how they could help me reduce my credit debt I have been working with them for almost a year now and my debts are being paid and the balance is really coming down. It’s easy and fulfilling to being able to breath again and feel comfortable about what I am doing. Without the great people at FDRs help I would still be stressing over how I could get ahead and it seemed like I would never see the paid in full on my debts. FDR has been amazing! I feel like for the first time I do not have to worry about the debt collectors harassing me. FDR is handling everything for us. When I went into the program they were taking 400 out a month which was fine. Well then I took some of CC off the program and they still were charging me 400 a month. I asked why. They told me because I needed to meet my program date. Ok I understand that but if I took CC off wouldn't you think that would lower your monthly payments. Also they are really high in monthly fees. When you give them money each month and you only have one settlement all the money should go towards that settlement.

He had an issue with Windley payment was going to be removed due to late payroll. He was able to help us out and get the future payments rescheduled to every second Thursday of the month so that I could change the account for which it was being paid.

A few days ago I was able to log in into my account. Had a few questions. I had to call back 3 times. The first representative was falling to sleep the second one was helpful. I forgot to discuss a payment arrangement had to call back. The same guy picked up that was helping me the second time. He was rude, basically told me to file for bankruptcy gave me his opinion multiple times. at the end he bypassed one question survey, he hung up the phone on me. So do I have to deal with this emotional abuse every time when I call you? I'm flabbergasted.

Initially I requested a loan, Justin patiently told me why I was not a candidate for a loan and suggested your program. I really wanted to pay my creditors rather than negotiate for a lower payment, but Justin clearly explained the program and told me that not only would I get out of debt sooner but I would be able to restore a good credit score as each creditor was paid off. I joined onto Freedom Debt Relief 6 months ago after partnering with an awful debt settlement company originally, Pacific Debt. My first intake call with FDR was great as a commitment of proactiveness, peace of mind, and a true concern of my situation was made by your representatives. Six months into the program and $5,000 worth of deposits later I've seen very little results. Only two accounts have been negotiated, one of which was less than $500 and low priority, the other which results in a WAGE GARNISHMENT where I ended up paying the creditor MORE than they asked for (they offer to settle for $968 and FDR committed to $1200). Plus, I still don't have the $737.49 back from the garnishment that occurred almost 3 weeks after I settle the account.
I constantly get the run-around when I call into FDR as to who is responsible, where we're at in the process, and what the next clear steps are to resolve the issues. Every time I call in for an update I'm told to call back in one week, this last time I was told to call back in 30 days!!! When your check is being garnished from a creditor you've already paid, why in the world would you tell a customer to wait another 30 days (putting two more paychecks at risk of unwarranted garnishments)? I am considering terminating my entire program with FDR based on these recent experiences. There is ZERO sense of urgency on my accounts from my perspective. Which is not the picture that was painted originally by your representatives. I really was hoping FDR was different than my previous debt settlement partner, unfortunately you have proven to be worse.

So far so good. I have very little experience with FDR to date but my experience so far has been fairly good. I had one chat with an employee that left me more confused than when the chat started and the employee cut the chat short. I later had a phone conversation with another employee who did a much better job explaining what I wanted to know. Since we were dealing with a deposit I made I feel the employee I was dealing with should have taken a little more time and showed more patience toward a FDR customer.

I got a civil summons on 10/9. I just got a chance to look at it. I been out of town and called them and they told me I should have notified them within 3 days. No one ever told me that and I was working out of town. Just a scam to kill your credit and take your money.

It took great courage for me to initially pick up the phone, but I was drowning in debt. Due to unforeseen circumstances (deaths in my immediate family) I accumulated bills that were once divided. I got a 2nd job, in addition to my full time job, thinking the supplemented income was going to make a difference, but it didn't/hasn't.
I heard an advertisement on the radio and mulled it over a few days. I heard it again while sitting in the parking lot at my 2nd job, so I called. A very kind, compassionate, professional and knowledgeable man, David **, answered my call. I was quite emotional in explaining my situation and frankly a bit skeptical, but David ** was not pushy. I did not make a decision to commit to anything and told him I needed time to research Freedom Debt Relief before making a decision. David provided me with information and resources via email, but I researched further on my own. I asked David to call me back on a Sunday morning, which he did and in a timely manner at that.
After further inquiries on my part, I decided to commit to a new financial lifestyle change, which would be beneficial for me and would shave off almost $12,000.00 dollars from my debt. I am so happy I did. I feel a weight has been lifted and I can honestly say I have a personal financial coach with Freedom Debt Relief. I have called FDR Customer Service a few times, with each time being a pleasant experience with very knowledgeable, professional and kind people helping me with questions I had and resources provided. I mired in credit card debt. I had tried to consolidate debt and just have on payment but had no luck. Then a salesman called me and it was a perfect solution. They would negotiate with the card companies and get the debt down and I would pay on that amount. We settled on 3 years and a certain amount every month. I felt good about the deal. I was paying the credit cards off and they weren't getting the high interest rates. I had paid on one card for 5 years and the principle hardly changed. I am so glad I found Freedom Debt Relief.

I receive a letter for the court that I had to pay a $35 filing fee for paying off a loan. I wanted to know if this was a legal notice. It was and I had to pay the money. I would think that the court would be happy it was paid off and no fee charged.

Freedom Debt Relief and the partner company Consolidation Plus are the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. I keep getting different answers to my questions. I have informed FDR that I unexpectedly have funds to pay off my debt but they have not responded. Instead they tried to get me to get a loan. A settlement was reached only if I got the loan. Once I cancelled the loan the settlement was removed DESPITE THE FACT THAT I HAVE THE FUNDS TO PAY IT. RIP OFF. You are only interested in collecting your fees. You have no interest in doing what is best for your customers.

If I could zero stars I would. Beware and fully research before you use this company. After giving this company over $500 a month for a year and getting sued by several companies for unpaid funds I have discovered that Freedom Debt Relief takes $400 out of the $500 monthly bill for their own personal fees. When confronted about this the guy on the phone kept stuttering and telling me to hold. He then proceeds, “We are here to help. Let me see what I can do.”
He comes back and then says, “Sorry we have to take the $400 month fees for us but maybe you can give us more money a month and we can work with the other companies.” Really!!! Also two of the bills are $500. They should have been paid off a year ago. One payment could have paid these bills. Also beware they also charge you $3 for a phone call and every "payment" they send to a company you are charged $3-10. They say they want to help but they are nothing but scam artists. I wish I figured this out before getting served.

We do offer legal protection as soon as you enroll in the program as we cannot assure you that you won't get sued. We work with a group of lawyers called National Litigation Law Group. We also negotiated based off the funds you have in your dedicated account and we don't take the settlement fees until we have reached a settlement and you have approved it. Also when we do reach a settlement the full settlement is disclosed to you on how many payments are sent to that creditor and when the account will be paid off. The representative from Freedom Debt Relief made a good presentation for the way that they took their commissions which, afterward, I found out was a little misleading. I like to see they improved the exact way they explained how they get their commissions. But from the presentation, I decided to go with them. I had an over amount of credit cards and the high interest just wasn’t going anywhere. They figured what was an affordable amount for me. And the customer service that I received was extremely well. When I had some concerns, Alisa called me and addressed them, and was very knowledgeable as to exactly the misconceptions that I had. Working with Freedom Debt Relief made my life so easier in a way. I got less calling hour every month.

This is a very good program. They have really helped me get rid of some of my debts. That's enough of a reason to recommend them, but wait there's more! LOL. Getting debt free is good, but the thing that is my favorite part is the customer service that you get! They have always been there to answer ALL of my questions and concerns. I went through the program as I was instructed by FDR. When I started it, I called all my creditors on the plan and changed my address and phone number to the FDR address and phone number. I completed the plan in 2011, and asked for documentation saying all my creditors were paid off, but never received it. Five years after completing the plan I got called by a debt collector. One of my creditors had sold my debt to a collection agency. I called FDR to get the settlement information. They said I should have received it when I graduated. I explained that I asked for it several times but never received the packet of information with the details of debt settlement. I talked to “Daniel **”, who was supposedly their “bestest” resolution specialist, and who talked a good talk but never followed through or called back as promised.
After several months of failed attempts to get FDR to address this outlier, I finally sent a letter to the debt collector telling them to contact FDR about the issue. FDR kept giving my account to new people to follow up on it, and the new people, having no information (I guess they don’t have it recorded in a centralized system???) would blow me off since my account was “closed”. I had to keep re-explaining it every time. I still have not heard back from FDR regarding my settlement packet or the issue with this collector. I’m pretty disappointed with their complete lack of close out on my account, and their failure to make it right upon multiple requests. Closing my account does not equal a closeout. Sending me proof of all settlements is closure. Shame on you FDR.

Twice we were hung up on and the personnel was very pushy in the beginning, also somewhat rude. After we signed up for the program, we were summoned into court by one of the creditors, faxed info in hoping they could take notify the courts, well nothing was done. Now we are being charged court cost, even though they reached a structured settlement. For what we are paying you for your service, we should not be dealing with this.

Tried to get our debt paid off completely. Your customer service agent Kristine ** said she would need $15,530 ASAP to do it. We borrowed, sold and pawned as much as we had and got her that amount and FDR withdraw it on 8/10 and 8/13. She said it would take a few weeks to get things done. To date 10/20/18 nothing has been paid off. Small monthly payments on account but nothing paid off. FDR has made sure they withdrawal their service fee's but can't get back to your customer to let them know what's going on.
When I talked to her 4 weeks after money was posted in my bank she asked if I wanted to start pay off? Apparently I was supposed to tell FDR to start early pay off but who's supposed to let me know that? 11 week's no contact with Ms.**. I've left several messages for a return call or email and you can look at your customer service records and no reply till yesterday after and I got a one sentence email from her stating she'll look into it. Very very poor customer service. I can see why you have such poor reviews online. Wish my wife and I would have checked for ourselves on FDR instead of listening to Prime America.

I am dissatisfied with how long are being coordinated. I current have an account with a balance of $575 and have more available funds in my account and even though this account is small is schedule to take 4 years to pay off in $5 increments. I believe that if the funds are available to pay the account off sooner.

This worker helped me to figure out 2 things: my acct balance the way the negotiations can go with nllg on a case I was served with and how to best continue with funds, also how to contact the creditor I had paid off but wasn't showing as paid off and I did that and they said it was sent it on Sept. 9th to the credit bureau so it should show up any day now. But I wouldn't have had their number without his help and I don't know if they (Chase) correctly filed my papers because they couldn't find it under my social security #. Only cell #. So it paid off for all of this.

They work great with getting debt removed from high point to manage payments and lower payments to get rid of debt. Only thing I would like them to change is when you have multiple debt try to do them all at once instead of waiting for one to be finished.

Freedom Debt Relief lightened a lot of the burden that I’ve had financially. I’m paying my bills as I’m able to and they have arranged with my creditors to make that easier. I feel like they’re really there to help you. If you call, they try to answer your worries. At first, I didn’t know because I’ve never not pay creditors so this is a whole new ballgame for me. But I feel like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s not just a sinking ship anymore, even though we’re still kind of at the beginning of it. I'm looking forward to being out of debt in four years versus still on that sinking ship for another however many more, if I wasn’t on this program.

We couldn't be happier with our choice to use Freedom Debt Relief. Since March 2018 they have negotiated with about 1/2 of our 12 creditors, and reducing our debts by a MINIMUM of 50% (1 was MORE than 50%), and we have successfully paid 1 off COMPLETELY! I love this program. It has giving me things to think about what I should and should not do. Credit are ok, but don't go crazy and get cards just because it has dollars signs. I have to remember that I have to pay them back with interest. This program has made me stronger and smarter. Thank you.

FDR is the worst company I have ever dealt with. FDR did NOT advise on implications of possible actions and options connected with the program. In the end, cost me a lot of time, money and sadly ruined my credit. Others beware!

The Consumer Affairs department was able to reach settlements with my creditors. They were helpful intruding to explain the details of what their jobs were and why I was still receiving calls in reference to my bills. I still struggle with the system but I have put my life in their hands.

I was kind of skeptical about doing this debt relief program but I actually had no the choice. I’ve been in the program about 8 months and so far they’ve negotiated three of my debts which one I only have five more payments. Even though the monthly payment is a little hard for me sometimes I cannot imagine paying all my debts every month that I would have had to. I know it’s going to take a little time but I truly feel that in a couple years I will be debt-free due to Freedom Debt Relief.

Overall I am happy w/ my experience with FDR. I hate I had to go to Consolidated Plus for funds to handle additional accounts because I feel I am paying more than I have saved in the long run. It is difficult to determine how the settlement fees are determined but I feel that they are excessive. The reduction in the amount owed counts as income. Those two factors really hurt me. I understand that there are companies that either do not charge any settlement fees or they charge much less than Freedom. This year, I received several emails from NLLG. They made it seem important and said I would receive a follow up email but none came. I was always encouraged to send any notices to you from any creditors. I always did send them but never received any acknowledgment that any were received. I assume that they were received. It seems like they should have been sent to you or duplicate notices should have been sent. It is my own fault that I am in this situation but you did ask for my experience. Thank you.

My account was placed into bulk negotiation 3x. When I objected to the third time I was told I was confused or didn’t understand the process. It was because I didn’t understand how repeating the same process was going to have a different result. My account was taken out of bulk negotiation because the creditor couldn’t locate my account. The manager I spoke to told me when that happens FDR contacts me to get whatever information they need. No one contacted me, the account was just added back to bulk negotiation. What was going to change?

I'm a client and was very happy with the answers that were given to me. I had a question about a creditor calling me and was told that we are actually close to settling with that creditor. I had suspected that the card was making one last ditch effort to make me cave and my suspicion was confirmed.

I am glad I chose to pay the extra for lawyer because I have needed them. I do wish that Amanda could have told me that a couple of my debts wouldn't be willing to settle with Freedom Debt. It seems like they would know this as they settle with companies on a daily basis.

The reps of Freedom Debt Relief are very nice. I could always call the rep, I'm mainly dealing with, back if I had any questions going on. I also talked with several different people and they've always been able to help me. After so many months of putting in money, they were able to settle a lot of accounts. They send me text via email to see if I agree to that settlement and if I do, I just send them back an information and they quickly settle it. They just tell me how much I would need to pay a month and if there were any problems at all, they would notify me on any more information they may need. There's three accounts still waiting to be settled but I've settled most accounts at this point.
I just have to do my part because they'll sell off to another company and that company will send me a note or an envelope in the mail saying they bought it so I fax that to them immediately. That kept things straight and going around. Freedom Debt is still taking the same amount out because there's few that I have got settled and they have to see what the amount is gonna be but everything works good. If someone said something to me about needing help, I would recommend them.

I had a family emergency and requested that they change my due date. I was told I would get a response back in two days. Never got that response, money was taken out on the actual due date so I was not able to be with my brother in time of need. The representatives did not care. My bank account was hacked into and money fraudulently deducted. This was a day before Labor Day. I contacted customer service and told them it would be a day or two before I could get a new bank account and was called a liar. The bank could give me a new account that same day. They didn't care that 2 people stole $900 from my account and I barely had money left to pay my rent or live on. They got their money.
The one thing that put me over the edge was I had a very sick kitten that was at death's door and in order to save her life I had to take her to the vet 3 times. I asked if they could change my due date by 4 days. Again I was told to wait two days Then when I called back it was too late. My rent was late my car payment was late but they got paid. I told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor and was told they were too busy. I told them I was thinking of ending my deal with them and got an email from them terminating me because I didn't make payments as agreed and this is bull. When I called them they said they attempted to contact me by phone for 3 days and refused to speak to them yet I only have a cell phone which shows no calls at all from Freedom Financial at all! I am glad they terminated me, cause I don't deal with liars!

Updated on 04/03/2022: Working with them has made my life so much easier. Helping me take care of the debt I had after the death of my husband has been so comforting. I would recommend FDR to anyone needing help. I can now sleep at night.

My contact person was easy to work with. His explanation of the process in a thorough and easy to understand. I am hopeful I will be able to get my debts paid off 4 yrs. I plan to pay more than my bi-monthly payments and have the debts paid off before 4 years.

When I signed up with you guys, I told you what I could afford to pay a month and was told no problem...well now I will be paying 160 dollars more a month than when I started and with each debt that I'm getting SUED for, it just keep going up. The deal made with Discover was HORRIBLE and I could have made a better deal myself. You were suppose to try and resolve this for me so I WOULDN'T get sued but you are waiting until they have filed a suit against me to do anything. I am going to be paying almost as much now as I was BEFORE I signed up with you. So sadly, you're not helping me much. I should have just let all them sue me then buy the liens for a fraction of what I'm paying. Not totally ready to give up on you...but what do I do when I can't pay the 600 dollars a month? Then I multiply that by the length of time I have to do it and I'm feeling a little uneasy about this.

The process was quick, fair and easy. So if you have credit card debt, don't be afraid to enroll in this program. It will definitely work for my budget, saving me about $400 a month in credit card bills. So I know it will definitely work for anyone.

I agreed to pay a certain amount. I’m not sure how they pick how to pay on first but those are the only ones they contact unless the others are going to sue you. I was under the impression they had a deal with all of the accounts and that you are given a graduation date for a reason. Why give that if you are going to be changing that number all the time. Probably would have chosen a large consolidation loan instead maybe would have had to looked into it but they have that option also but somehow that info is emailed to you and you email them back. Would be great if original payment covered all cost and you pay extra if you can move your graduation date up. I have been into the system for over 2 years and they have only completed 4 accounts now and after deal 3 and 4 they needed more money. People sign up with places like FDR is because of money. If I had more money I would have just paid my accounts myself.
