Takes too long to pay debt off. You guys take longer to pay off debt so you make more money off those of us that are contracted with you to pay off our debt. I have expressed this, with the same blahs blahs answer. This is the only aspect of this that needs to be relooked at.
We're sorry to hear you are disappointed in the amount of time it takes to resolve the enrolled debt. Please don't mistake us for other companies that may take advantage of people who are struggling. Our program is designed to help you resolve your debt, period. We don't promise easy fixes. Our program requires commitment on the part of the client and it doesn't happen overnight. But it works. We make our money by charging fees on the negotiation services we provide. We don't make money the longer our clients are in debt. Overall we’re happy with FDR as we getting our debt reduced. The only issue we had was they did tell us some creditors are difficult to work with, but their legal department will handle it. Well, that isn’t completely accurate as the legal team wanted us to keep increasing our monthly deposit, & we were told initially we wouldn’t have to. The legal team told us it was because American Express & Discover are difficult. Well FDR knew those were some of our creditors in the beginning, & didn’t tell us that those are hard creditors to work with. It caused us more stress & a lot of time filling out paperwork, getting it notarized. We’re on the right track now since we were given a loan from Consolidation Plus.

This has been a hard thing for me to do---not pay my credit cards. However, by this point I am starting to feel some relief as a few accounts have been settled. I am looking forward to it being finished!

I was led to believe through very careful wording by the agent during my initial desperate call that your service would get me out of debt. Okay I gave you two stars. What you failed to make clear except in rushed signed legalese, was that fine print. I made every payment on time, but I still have a JUDGEMENT against me now from Discover Bank and ruined credit for 10 ** YEARS. So thanks for that.

Freedom Debt Relief company is very reliable. This company has work diligently to do what they offer since the beginning. The support they have provided me with has helped me to work on my debt. I like the way they have made knowing about my account with them in the internet very friendly. They also have bilingual Spanish staff, that is great.

I was trying to find a debt relief program and I talked with several and Debt Relief came at a certain time that I was ready to be involved with a debt consolidation company. The consultant asked about my credit scenario and that they could help me shorten the length of the credit card time, as opposed to paying over 20, 25, 30 years, as I was going through when I started. They kept us posted via email on what’s going on and whenever they have a resolution to one of our creditors.
They told me how much I’ll pay with them over a period of time and they, at all times, said, “This is something you have to make sure that you can handle. And if you can’t, then you need to rethink about it.” They never were negative. They were always realistic. I thought it was difficult because I was so used to credit cards. I still have two, but I have a more limited credit limit. I’m now less dependent on credit cards and more dependent on the cash at hand, which is an extremely good scenario that should be done with more Americans and I’ve already recommended it.

Received 4 letters from different solicitors proffering their services regarding a pending lawsuit filed by Discover Bank. Sent you the letters and spoke with NLNG who said if we were served then we needed to contact them immediately. Really appreciated the level of response and amelioration of my perceptions and apprehension.

I had received a summons from a credit card company that now put me to a debt collector which is a lawyer. I had called Freedom Debt Relief immediately. Talked to Mathew, friendly and knowledgeable representative. He knew exactly what had to be done. This is only another hurdle I have to jump over to be debt free. I was seeking to consolidate and pay off my credit cards and get them out of short-term. Freedom Debt Relief's advertisements made me choose to work with them. The rep was very knowledgeable and friendly. He didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. Then they worked with me to set up a payment plan. They took into consideration all the other obligations that I had. They asked me about my other debts and where I was with income. I had 4 cards and they said that they are working on reducing the debt. I'm still working on the program, but I’ve gotten rid of one debt and the others are small. Freedom Debt Relief has given me peace of mind that I am getting things under control so I would have more freedom, as far as when I wanna retire, which is my goal. I'd recommend them to anybody who’s having a problem.

I cancelled my program and was told that I would get all my money back because you didn't do anything but set it up, but I didn't receive all my money back. I was suppose to get 258.00 and I only got back 240.09. I do not like to be lied to. So I will not be recommending you to my friends.

I am having an extreme problem with my regular bills and these people really helped me by suspending my withdrawals for a few months which will really help a lot. All personnel so far have been friendly, courteous and very helpful. When we call all our questions are answered in a timely manner. We have talked to one of the companies on our list and they wanted you to call them and I told them they had to call you. The only reason I haven't rated FDR a five is because I still have some debt that hasn't been settled as of yet. However, there is no doubt that they deserve a twenty five, judging what they've done for us, up to now. If anyone is in trouble with debt like I was, I recommend FDR.

I was a bit worried in the beginning when the collectors began calling and sending notices in the mail and with officers, but FDR was right there to explain the process and send me to the right department to handle it all. I was served papers on one of my accounts. I have called several times trying to get this account into a settlement. Everyone has been helpful except one individual that gave me bad information and in fact argued with me.

Disappointed with handling of one account so far. It never should've reaches the point of a summons. I notified in plenty of time. It was not the next account settled. Even after I was approved for loan to help settle.

Experienced great customer service and willingness to get me signed up. I didn’t have any late pays for 11 years on my credit and had a great credit score prior to the debt relief program. I really wish I looked into debt consolidation loan. This route means bad credit for seven years now.

I believe it’s too early in my experience with Freedom Debt Relief as my first payment was made on Dec 4 and today is Dec 5 so I haven’t really experienced anything with that. I however am pleased with customer service but am disappointed with your first initial call coming in from my state and you're located in Arizona. I almost didn’t answer that call as I didn’t know anyone in that town and with caller i.d. you have the option to answer the call or not.

People who asks for your help need help, not the high fees you charge. A lot times people who have use you say it takes too long and need help, but have no choice but to pay them. Like to see you lower your fees to really help even if by a 1/2%.

The amount of the fee will vary depending on a client’s state of residence, total debt amount, etc. Typically, it ranges from 15% - 25% of total enrolled debt over the course of the program. For example, fees of 21% of enrolled debt in a 42 month program would work to about 6% per year annualized. This offers significant savings over other solutions, especially for those who would otherwise be making payments as agreed to their creditors at the interest rates they have when entering our program. I am quite dissatisfied with the outcome of my creditor accounts being handled by Freedom Debt Relief. I have been with them for 16 months now and they have settled 2 of my creditor accounts. Of which one has been paid off, while another has a settlement agreement in place that will not be paid off until May 2020. One of my creditor accounts brought a lawsuit against me and since I had chosen to pay appx. $12/mo. for a partner with FDR called National Litigation Law Group (NLLG) to represent me in case of legal action taken by one of my creditors registered with FDR. The handling of the negotiations with this creditor was in my opinion not handled with my best interest in mind. In the end, I had to pay more than my balance was with that creditor at the time FDR took over negotiations with my 6 creditors.

The only thing that I have found so far is that NLLG had to tell me to remove a account from my that they settled. The of your Reps that talked should have been able to tell me that instead of having to go back and forth between you and NLLG. But so far that has been the only problem.

Given new checking account so I could close old account. New account numbers were forwarded before my deposit... Money was withdrawn from old account putting checking account negative. Contacted customer service. Went through the process changing accounts. Was advised that credit will be issued to the old account. As of today Dec. 2 2018 have not received money in old account. Still putting account negative.

The Law firm that works with them (NLLG) is the worse excuse for a law firm I have ever came across. They (NLL) sent me back a notification that they could not open my document and that I had to resend it a different way. First, I am surprised that they could not open it. Secondly, why did they not follow up with a phone call to alert me that the document needed to be sent a different way? Especially with a time-sensitive document. By the time I found in my Spam, the time to have NLLG represent me had expired.
Now that it has moved into the next phase they are still refusing to take the case, Yet if I go to any lawyer anywhere, anytime...in heartbeat, they would take my case. Now I am facing paying Wells Fargo a lot more money than I even enrolled in their program for (Freedom Debt Relief) instead of a lower amount, it's now even higher because of attorney fees and document filing. I really feel like NLLG should take the case and go back to negotiating a lower amount to pay them. The idea of going to debt consolidation was so that I CAN pay off the card that I owe, however, I need them to forgive some of the balance. I am totally dissatisfied with how this particular case of mine with them has been handled.

The only thing I would change is contacting creditors right away. I received numerous phone calls and certified mail relentlessly. Very stressful. I had to go through my doctor for medications. I wish that could be changed.

I sent an email in mid-November asking that my automatic debit be reduced. I called on the 28th or 29th to see if the debit had been changed. It had not and I was too late to change it. So now I can't pay my car insurance in one payment so I won't get a $100.00 reduction in premium for paying in full and on time. By not reading or doing anything about your email, I just lost $100.00. I think the phone call, which prompted your email, got things straightened out.

I had an up and down experience. It took a year and a half for 2 Capital One accounts. The second one took forever. I was told that I needed to put in more money over my allotted to finish. The next person told me I had enough and it took 3 months. I did lose my rep who had some health issues who I really liked. They do help and I did get them both done.

I could not ask for better treatment from anyone at FDR. However, my NLLG attorney, Jeremy ** was rude, condescending, and basically called me a deadbeat during my first phone call. After stating that he was not going to take the case because he could tell that I would not make the payments and then he would have to take phone calls from my debtor's attorneys, continued to be rude and treat me as if I was a child. Although he handled the legal issues and secured an acceptable settlement, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend FDR as long as NLLG continues to use attorneys such as Jeremy **.
FDR as a company, is only here because people are having financial troubles but want to pay what they owe and not file for bankruptcy. They don't want to be treated disrespectfully and insulted by someone for which they are paying a fee. It may not be a huge fee, but it is the fee which is requested. And, it is very disheartening to be treated so terribly for a service in which we pay. (You can contact NLLG for additional details about my horrible experiences with Jeremy **.) With that being said, I have no problem at all with FDR and its direct employees. FDR and its employees have always been fantastic and completely helpful to me, and I thank you for that.

I am happy with the results so far from negotiations with creditors. I have saved a lot of money so far with negotiations made. I am confused why a creditor keeps contacting me after payments have been received, accepted, and completely resolved. I have explained to them that this account has been resolved. They say ok and apologize for calling yet it continues to happen. Otherwise, no complaints at this time.

I have been with you Freedom and NLG since January this year and things were running smoothly until I was sued by AZFCU. In the 11 months that I've been paying consistently, not once did I get flagged for having an issue with the account number of AZFCU. Now that I am in the middle of this lawsuit, I have been trying to resolve a discrepancy with the account number but Freedom and NLG do not have a good way to communicate with each other than email.
The process has been a nightmare because NLG says that my AZFCU account is not enrolled in the program, I call Freedom and they say it is. I've tried to get information on how to resolve this and even though the client services people are trying to help, it seems that they are constrained to a very limited process that consists of taking notes, sending an email to NLG and that is it. I have to say Tony ** client advocate from Freedom, really went above and beyond to help. I hope this gets resolved because I have done everything possible to address this problem and it would be devastating to me if NLG just drop my case and leaves me without representation when I have to go to court.

A friend used Freedom Debt Relief before and that friend recommended me to them. My interactions with their rep have been very good and they’re always so available and ready to talk me through different things. When someone was suing me, I was able to call FDR, get an action right away, and someone was able to call me right back. I had another experience where creditors were calling me and I was able to give them FDR's number. The creditors spoke to FDR instead of me. So, FDR has been really a blessing. Their overall cost is excellent as well. I pay as I go, I’m able to have a set payment, and manage that payment. I would recommend them and I have started talking to people already. I told them that they need to get into this company and get their debt settled.

I somewhat regret participating in this program. I follow the directions and stop making payments. Late fees accrue and the original debts are increased, usually doubled if not more. Out of three settlements made, two of them did not save me any money at all. They were able to reduce the debt only by the amount accrued from not paying in the first place. At this point, I should've simply filed for bankruptcy, wiped the debts clean and built my credit back up.

Yes, that will mean your balance can increase but as soon as we have reached a settlement the creditor will no longer be able to increase the balance on that debt. Compare our fees to the 100% debt + interest % + late fees + penalty fees if someone can't meet the monthly required minimum payment. Freedom kept their word with what they committed to. I was hesitant at first but felt more comfortable as they started settling accounts. I would recommend Freedom to friends and family. I am waiting for the final process which was the loan to complete funding to settle the remainder of my accounts. I am waiting to see how long the long is expected for since settlement was complete in less than a week.

The online tools are great but I’m very dissatisfied with your customer service. No one gives the same answer on the same issue and I was told to own my mistake. I came to you guys to alleviate stress. I didn’t realize the fees you would charge per settlement would practically take me right back to what I originally owed. I enrolled in the FDR and NLLG programs, not long afterwards and unforseen I was served a summons that I am being sued. Called NLLG. There is nothing they can do. They said have FDR expedite my case, FDR won't until I have $5k in my account, I only have 30 days from receiving summons to respond and I have no backing from FDR or NLLG. Looks like I am going to court by myself. Phrases like ”Now that you’re enrolled in the FDR program, it’s no longer just you against your creditors. We’re on your side to help you tackle your debt.” Need to be omitted from your website.

We're very sorry to hear that you are getting sued by one of your creditors. We never want any client to feel like they are alone in this situation. Since you are enrolled in National Litigation Law Group they are the lawyers that would be representing you as FDR cannot provide any legal advice. Now the only way NLLG wouldn't be able to work on your case is if they did not receive the Summons and Complaint within the 3 days they asked per their agreement. They have to have the Summons within 3 days from you when you got served since it's a time sensitive. We know this can be very stressful as you are doing your part to become debt free and then dealing with this situation can lead you to feel the way you are feeling towards us. Good guidance and info for submission of settlement online. We weren’t sure how to go about accepting the settlement that was presented but the customer service representative assured us we had done it correctly. My credit union from which my drafts were being made changed their policy and stopped drafting from savings accounts without notifying me of these changes causing non-payment for October which put my settlements in jeopardy through no fault of my own causing me much stress and worry during these Holidays with a limited amount of money to pay my bills and put food on the table. I don't feel like being penalized for this bank's mistake and having my settlements renegotiated which I'm not willing to do and for good reason.

I called back the next day to find out it had NOT been corrected. That my account would be terminated and I'd have to call back in 2 weeks to have my account reinstated. I again asked to speak to a supv. Because this is and was an error on your agency's part and your agency needed to fix it. I should not have to call back after already spending 2 days on the phone for hours. I again asked to speak to a supv. Upon asking the csr reported that documents were going to be sent to me to again resign as my account has to be reinstated due to it being terminated and it could not be stopped. Documents were resent and I was going to be charged 9.95 1 time set up again. I asked for a letter or for the document to be resent as I should not be recharged due to this situation being your error. Csr agreed and told me to email the person who sent me the documents. I did and she stated she could not send a letter or waive the 9.95 and gave me customer service number to call. At this point I was sooo frustrated. I'm still not sure it's been completely corrected. And was advised to call back again next week to ensure it has been corrected. I have received any email or notification that it's been corrected. Completely unprofessional. I am disappointed to say the least as to how this error has been handled. There has got to be someone that could have overridden the cancellation and corrected this immediately. I should not have to continue to call to verify that this situation has been corrected due to your error. I would greatly appreciate an email following up with this situation verifying my account has been updated and corrected.

I feel you misrepresented the way the plan works. I was told you would negotiate my payments and pay them. When I received a warrant the whole story changed. When I spoke to a lawyer she advised me I was not the only person who felt this way.

I had become disgusted and depressed with myself after seeing my credit card bills racking up to well over $800 a month. I had tried a consolidation loan- which I ended up abusing my paid off credit cards with medical bills and groceries when times got harder to handle and ended up running their balances back up. I have been quite happy with Freedom Debt Relief and if they had not requested a review at this time I wouldn't say anything right now. BUT, since they asked. I received a new collection notice. I took a picture of it and emailed it to support as I have done many times previously from other collectors. I received an email saying there really wasn't much they could do with it right now since there aren't enough funds available at the moment. I pay into my account every month exactly as instructed. They suggested I add more money to my account. If I had that kind of money I wouldn't need their services.
Then I am made aware that money that was paid out to a creditor had been returned to my account because the creditor let the checks stale date. That was good but they kept their $500 fee although the creditor only took $20 and then stopped communicating. So I paid a very large fee for a very small settlement. That's not right. I have talked to customer service about both of these issues. I'll be glad when the program is over.

Everyone is there for you when you need them. The only thing I have an issue with is the rocks covering my front lawn. They did want to remove them but I had to move in my other home was being sold. I would like to know who can I get to get the dead palm leaves off the 3 trees. Also would I have to pay for it. The other homes in my area beautiful.

I was lied to and misled about the whole process from day one. You did NOT reduce my debt, you just changed who got my money. In fact, Freedom Debt got more money than all my creditors combined. I called for a consolidation loan and was instead given this "GREAT" (your word), opportunity to save. I will NEVER use you or your services again nor will I recommend your services to anyone else.

I have just joined the Freedom Debt Relief but so far they have been very good at explaining how they work and what I have to do in terms I can understand. So far everything that has been said has been going on and I am very satisfied with the way things are going for me. I am on a fixed income and I could not have food on the table unless I ran up my charge card and more payments to make. At least now my bills slowly are being taken care of and I can afford to have meals on my table without running my bills up higher and feeling I was never going to be caught up.

I changed contact information as instructed but the creditors keep calling. Also when asked how much I bring home in pay I mistakenly gave an amount of $200 more per pay period $400 monthly. I would like to have the creditor calls diminished, they are very disruptive.
