Since my program is just starting I have no real comments concerning my service. I did think that my contact information would have already been changed, but this may happen with the initial plan payment. I was somewhat concern that my account showed a negative balance even before my first payment was made. Perhaps, I misunderstood the initial startup, which I didn't read in my welcome package.

I called in with concerns about how we had an excess of funds in our account and 3 open accounts. 2 of these could have been paid off with money left over. DeAndre took one look and said, "Oh something can change here." He paid off our 2 accounts and gave me some advice for the last account. Our Graduation date changed from April 2020 to January 2019. We are almost done thanks to DeAndre!

You have sales people signing the public up for your program. They told me they would take all my debts and have them paid off over time. You did not take all my debts. Left one that I had to pay myself... at 320 dollars a month. I don't appreciate being, told something that is not TRUE.

I have so far good experience. I would recommend this service to a friend, if they ever needs it. I’m just trying to get back on the right track. Just trying to be financially responsible for my debts. I’m praying to stay out of debts and have my debts to a minimum.

At a time when I was at my wit's end as to how to make ends meet, I came across Freedom Credit Program. I have been in debt management before, but this program was much more concise and no-nonsense. I am so glad I found it when I did. My only regret is that I didn't find out about it sooner.

At first, I thought Freedom Debt Relief was somebody that would pay your debt off and you would pay them back. I didn't know that they were someone that help you with the debt. They told me how much I have to pay every month. It helped me very well, so I kept my part of bargain and they kept theirs. When I call Freedom Debt Relief, the people there are very, very nice people, but I didn't like my agent. When I try to call, I can't get him. One time, he gave me a wrong suggestion. I really didn't think that he really helped me good enough the way it should.
I learned a lot from Freedom Debt Relief in how to handle my situation in the near future better than I did in the past. I’m out of debt and I feel more freedom. They taught me how I can come back and be myself again, and live my life the way I wanted to live it without having somebody else to help me to live. I would refer Freedom to somebody.

I have been bounced back and forth between FDR and NLLG and have now had a judgement placed on me because I couldn't get anyone in either place to settle a deal that was sent to me 6 months ago. FDR kept failing to enter it into the system. I won't be working with them on any further accounts.

FDR did nothing to help resolve a pressing credit card debt with Capital One Selip & Stylianou even though I made them aware of it as soon as I was aware that they filed a judgment against me. It is clear with all the fees etc. that you have taken out for this process, FDR was not content until I purchased their litigation service, which I refused. You could have avoided the eventual judgment that was filed against me but chose not to. Very upset. Thanks for nothing!

If you opt-out of the service, they will be unable to help you resolve your account, but that's where we can step in. Very happy with updates and progress reports on resolving our debts. We are definitely making progress! We have eliminated two, 5 others in progress, and pendings are in negotiations. I am virtually stress free from phone calls from creditors and harassing letters and threats.

Upon calling the company was very helpful. They provided guidance and assistance each step. They have been very helpful with email and phone follow up. I needed relief on my credit card debt. I worked with Freedom for a little less than a year and I got all my cards paid off. Their debt consultants were very helpful. They explained everything that I needed to know and got my accounts approved. Also, the payment plan that I had was great and it fit into my budget. The cost of their service was relatively fair, as well. Freedom got my financial situation back and they made all my credit scores to go up quite a bit. I'll share my experience with Freedom to my friends.

I applied for credit consolidation in October 2017 and was told I would be done paying down the credit by January 2022. Now the end date is November 2022 with a HUGE amount spent I did not expect. I will ever use this process again. It really has caused me problems in securing a new home after my husband's death. There are other ways to handle credit debt that's for sure!

The only issue I have with FDR is their communication is slow. I think there should be a dedicated person to my account. I made two large additional deposits and I never can find out when the next negotiating will begin.

I was a bit unsure whether I should use Freedom Debt Relief, however, after they took over my accounts I found I was paying off things very quickly. I would recommend them. If you want to clear your debt and work on regaining your credit score to a good score, I would recommend this company.

FDR could not be not professional and helpful through the whole process of getting out of debt. I would recommend their service for anyone trying to get out of debt. They always answer the phone so you can talk to a person and answer all emails. They let you know that you're not alone throughout the time you're paying off your debt.

Since I opened this account in April 2017, I have made my monthly payments, without interruption. Despite this, my dashboard recently indicated that my graduation day has been rescheduled, adding 4 additional months of payments. When I called to inquire, I was informed that the original graduation day was an "estimate" since negotiations were still continuing. Can Freedom Debt Relief provide me an with accurate assessment of my account?

I am a little nervous about this experience at this time. Not sure how my relationship with my creditors will be perceived. My intentions is not to pay them, just to have one easier payment with a reduced interest rate. I am hoping I have made the right decision.

After reading Freedom Debt Relief's reviews, I decided to work with them on my debts since they seemed favorable. The enrollment was easy, where I just needed to give them the debt information like the credit cards that I wanted to be negotiated, the account number and the amount owed. Once I got enrolled in the program, FDR's reps kept me up to date. Whenever they were getting ready to make a settlement, I received an email or text message and then I responded. That debt was then settled and we moved on. And any time I called, they were very helpful. The program did a better job of paying off my credit cards than I did. It had paid off all my credit cards and I should be done in February. I’m actually graduating early given that the more money you pay, the more quickly it goes. And so, FDR's service was well-worth its cost. I hope they will keep on doing what they are doing.

The rep was great until I told him to cancel the program. We felt rushed. It took way too long and we were to pay them and our bills too. They wanted to know why we were cancelling and I told him because we wanted to and I didn’t think I had to give account to others for what we decided to do once we spoke about it. My husband came back and said, "You know I need to think about this more before we go forward but you keep calling for our ** info and we owe nothing because we sent several messages saying cancel with a few days of setting it up". Just leave us alone but the reps were nice but we cancelled. Leave it alone.

I’ve been in the program for almost two years now, they tell you that you only need to pay “x” amount of dollars every two weeks to finish in “x” amount of time, what they don’t tell you is that most creditors don’t wait that long to settle and will sue you. If you’re concerned about your credit, this isn’t for you. This should be a last ditch effort if you absolutely can’t afford your debt anymore. The only positive about this company is that they have outstanding customer service.

I have been with them 2 years now, and I had have 8 settlements so far. I only have around 4 to go. I am very happy about that. Customer service is great. They always answer promptly and answer all my questions. My monthly payment is high, but I want great credit, and to do so I am willing to pay it, so I can clear my credit faster.

Sometimes I feel like the bills that haven’t been involved in an agreement continue to add up and cause more late fees which means I feel I will be accountable to pay more back. It is all based on how much each individual that enrolls and how much money can be put toward the program every month. Very poor service. I have had money in my account to settle all accounts but FDR has barely touched in in the months the money has been sitting there. As a result I received a summons for an account that could have been settled prior. There have been many times this program has felt like a scam. My largest debt I had to settle on my own because FDR could not do a thing. This program has done nothing. The amounts negotiated I could have done myself because creditors are always willing to negotiate the amount FDR has gotten. Not recommended.

It is true that some creditors are more aggressive than others. He was very professional and helped me beyond what I expected. He sent me an email and told me that the debt collector was not supposed to talk to me like that. Told me he would get back to me after he follows up. Have me his name and number so that I know who is calling. Recently had problems with a payday loan that was extracting money from my checking account which caused payments to FDR to be disallowed. Have taken steps with my bank to ensure that I had only two (2) automatic withdrawals from my account. FDR was one and Pioneer Military Loans was the other. I called Freedom Debt Relief after talking to two other debt relief companies. I found Freedom to be the most fair in regards to giving me a legitimate amount to pay. Updated on 11/01/2019: I was really stressing out on whether I’m going through bankruptcy again and when I called FDR and talked to Tom, he was so reassuring and he’s made it seem like it was the right thing to do. And sure enough, it really has been a life saver. I don’t like having my debt hang on and on. I like to keep my credit taken care of, and this will be a little slower way but it’s better than filing bankruptcy. I got over $16,000 in debt in credit cards and FDR set up a plan, and then they made it mostly affordable. I even added a couple of more dollars to the account to keep it even going better. And they handle things very well, and if something comes in where the creditors change their name and change the account to somebody else, it’s easier to file with FDR because they’d take care of it for you. I just send them the paperwork, and they make it so easy.
It’s very easy to talk to somebody. You can just call or you can even text them, and somebody will get back with you. And also, if you need it, they have the insurance where if somebody comes and try to sue you, they help you with the paperwork. The payment plan started off really small, and they told me about how it helps to speed up the process. They make sure that the funds would be there for the creditors to get their money back. And they set that plan up so you can get it paid off sooner, then you could add on to the account for each month. Everything has been true to their word. I’ve only been in the program for almost a year. Out of my 13 accounts, 6 of them has already been taken care of within this past year, and so I just got 6 more to go. And I’m happy to be able to do that.

Freedom has now allowed me to be sued three times. Rather than proactively trying to negotiate down my debt beforehand, they allow it to fall into the hands of attorneys which causes me to have to incur higher costs. The end result doesn't turn out any different other than costing more money for me and resulting in the attorneys making money. The only thing Freedom has really done for me thus far is put me on a budget. We'll see how they can do on the next bill that was just given to a law firm.

I had a bunch of credit cards that had debts that were starting to create a problem for me and my budget, so, I needed to find a company that could help me get rid of that debt. When I googled debt relief companies and debt consolidation companies, Freedom Debt Relief was the first company that popped up on the computer. Their enrollment process was complicated because I ended up signing up for an account where the payments were really too high for me. In fact, I wanna try and have it re-negotiated as soon as possible, because the way it’s going now, I almost have to call in for every payment and have the amount reduced.
So far, I have had four settlements that have gone through, but I haven’t been able to make payments on all of them. So, they have lapsed or they are in limbo. I am happy working with Freedom Debt Relief but their fees are a little bit high. The last negotiation they did for me was gonna be $900 for a $4,000 loan that was cut back to $2,000. That aside, almost everybody in FDR was helpful except for one lady I interacted a couple of days ago. She was very too cut and dried and not apt with customer service. She wouldn’t level with me and tell me what was going on and I felt like talking to a supervisor. I ended up being transferred over to NLLG and they said they didn’t have my account any more with the company that I was trying to pay off. And so, I bounced back to FDR and talked to a real nice lady. It was the second time and it was a much better experience.

I've had an overabundance of debt and credit card issues. I searched the internet very extensively and found out that Freedom Debt Relief was one of the better-rated companies out there. They were more reputable compared to the others and I was impressed with their willingness to explain their company’s procedures. They thoroughly explained everything in detail, what was available to me from them, and what they would actually do on my behalf as far as my debts were concerned.
I’m on a fixed income and they advised me to get a certain plan that they would work with me through, and the amount of money each month that I'd give them to take care of it would be satisfactory with me. They’re doing as much as what they possibly can with the debts. I’ve noticed that I’ve got two completed debts already. We’re working on the others. I also noticed that they were definitely taking care of things for me. I’m very satisfied with everything they had to offer. Their professionalism when I call to talk to a representative was very thorough and complete. They were very professional with it and friendly. I’m totally 100% satisfied with the program. I'd suggest Freedom if it would be necessary for a certain person whatever their situation might be financially.

I was told they charge no fees and they do. I have 2 judgements against me now because Freedom did not try to make arrangements with them. I even told them of notices I had received of potential judgements and they still nothing to try to help with those situations.

You guys have set me up for failure. I did everything that the program said. Stop paying my credit cards, kept putting monthly installments into my freedom account and still nothing. I was served with a summons and you guys were no help to me. The two people I actually go on the phone offered me no help. The first one was sympathetic because she knew I was in a worse off situation but she put me on hold and never returned. The second person was rude and was no help. I was served with a summons and all the offers that were off to me were ridiculous.
I was paying freedom 324 a month but I was told in order to settle my debt I would have to pay another 850 a month for 12 months. I couldnt afford that, then I would have to pay back the full debt plus pay an extra 330 a month for a few years. That deal is obviously worse off than when I started plus the added ruined credit score because I was told to not pay the credit cards. Freedom pushes that you follow their plan and they can reach a solution for you if you stay committed but when the time came I felt neglected. I was better off dealing with this myself.

I liked the way Freedom Debt Relief was set up. They had a dashboard and I checked them out. They were legitimate and it was their success rate that brought me to them. Freedom Debt had a plan. You get on a program, and you can pay off all your debt in such a time. The Freedom Debt reps seemed fine and have been nice. The lawyers I talked to have also been good about everything. I got set up by one guy, but every time I called, I get a different person. Usually, they send me an email to remind me that I got somebody, so I'm familiar if there's anybody overlooking my particular account in that regard.
But the problem that has been happening to me is I keep getting court summons for my credit. I just started this and I'm wondering if there's any way to deter these aggressive creditors, because I'm three-for-three now, and I will be four-for-four. I've already started paying one creditor back and these creditors could see that I am trying to do the right thing and pay to the best of my ability in my situation right now.
I thought about trying to get a loan to pay it all off and then pay it on the loan, but another Freedom Debt denied me a course on that. The creditor is affiliated with Freedom Debt, but I'm with Freedom Debt, so I don't know why they reached out to me. I'm in there trying to make it better, but I got rejected from them. I've called one person up at Freedom Debt and talked to them about that. But it seems that if a person is not a lawyer or if that person is not familiar with the law, they seem to ignore that person. As soon as I talked to this individual, I've seen it was put into a recovery service. I tried talking with some people, and they took an aggressive move for having somebody purchase my account for pennies on the dollar, which only means I'll be getting another summons eventually down the road and it's a little annoying.
Freedom Debt should determine this aggressive behavior of these creditors. A loan company called me out of the clear blue. Freedom Debt saw that I was having a problem and called me. I didn't know they existed or were affiliated with Freedom Debt. We should get all that information beforehand. I do one debt at a time with this program, and I move along at the pace that Freedom Debt says that I'm supposed to be at. I got a graduation date and I just keep making my monthly payment, and that's what I'm choosing.
Freedom Debt went with a payment plan by of what I made and whatever I could do. I can only do $300 a month, so that gets used up. With this one credit card that I'm paying, I should have a little extra money left over. But I got another payment coming up, and sometimes, they need more money to get negotiations going, so I have to put money on top of that $300 that I have in my account. When these negotiations happen, that payment could be $500 a month. It starts to escalate, and I always thought it should be right at three or four. My fear is that I'm gonna have to pay two of my debts off at the same time and that doesn't seem right to me.

We were swimming in debt. We were making all of our payments but barely above the minimum. We knew with interest piling up we'd never get out of debt. Freedom helped us develop a plan and now we're seeing our debt begin to be resolved. We're sticking to the plan and we're not overcome with interest anymore. I have become more aware of my spending. I was overwhelmed by credit card debt when I started the program. I was ill and recently retired. I knew I could no longer work even part-time. I applied for a consolidation loan. Received a call and was told I wouldn’t qualify but the FDR program is best for me. I was told I would save $1000 month, would not have to pay tax on the forgiven debt, my credit score would slightly drop at first but then shoot right back up even higher and that he would be my go-to person through the entire process.
6 months into the program they settled 4 out of 13 debts. They charge 21% of the enrolled debt amount and settled for 35% of the original amount so the total reduction is 44%. But they list in my dashboard a much higher savings because they take the total due including all additional fees and interest and subtract the settlement without the fees. So if my debt was $1000 and during 6 months they add $500 in fees and interest for a total due $1500. FDR settles it for $350 and adds $210 for fees. I pay $560 or $440 less than the original debt but they list it that I saved $1150 because they take what I currently owe and subtract just what they paid the creditor.
In the meantime my credit score went from 670 to 403 and I am only saving $228 month. They also charge a $10 monthly maintance fee and $13 month for legal services. I now show 3 new civil actions on my credit monitoring system and they told me when I get the summons to call them and NLLG will take care of it. When I contacted my sales rep who told me he would be with me till end he told me to never contact him again and once I signed the contract he had nothing to do with me anymore.
In the past 2 weeks I have sent FDR 3 emails and they have not responded to any of them. Now that I am possibly facing 2 lawsuits. They are offering me an “exciting loan offer”. If approved they will loan me the money to pay off all my enrolled debt within 90 days and only have to pay back the loan. They said this will stop all legal action against me. They will continue to charge 21% for each settled debt and now add a 4.9% origination fee for the loan and 22.9% interest on the loan. So with the fees and interest I’ll be paying more than I would have if I just kept paying the minimum payments.
So my assessment of this scam is they get you to sign up, your credit is ruined so you can’t get loans anywhere, you begin to get sued by creditors, you reach out for help and ignore you and when you are backed into the corner and desperate they offer you this great loan at exorbitant fees and interest and you have no choice but to accept their terms. If you look up lawsuits against Freedom Financial you will find plenty. Including one from the CFPB for unfair and deceptive practices and one from the FDIC for deceptive loan practices. Freedom Financial agreed to pay $20 million to customers harmed by these deceptive loan practices just last year.If you are considering doing a settlement program, don’t! Do a DMP or file BK. These settlement programs only make things worse for you.

I started with FDR in 2016--I was really cautious, and researched them a lot, and it seemed like if you did the deposits, that it was a good option to pay of big debts. It took a bit to get started--they sent me the wrong persons' information initially, never got back, etc. I was worried I'd been had, but the moment I asked about it, I talked to just a great person who had all kinds of good insight.
Fast Forward about two years: they'd paid off one of my smaller cards ($3K) and my credit score went up like 10 points, so I was pleased. They were taking about $600 out of my account each month, and while it was a lot, the credit card companies wouldn't even talk to me unless I could pay it all. Then come September, I was served with three lawsuits from Bank Of America, the company I'd been sending money to every month.
When I called FDR, they were GREAT at first, then I fell through the cracks. That's the true problem with the company--you aren't ASSIGNED a person, you just have random people trying to help you. Sometimes they are GREAT, but most of the time they were misinformed, and incompetent. I called and called trying to figure out what to do, and what I needed to fight this in court, but FDR didn't help, which is fine, but then I realized that I'd deposited over $12,000 over the last two years, but they'd only paid $3K of credit card debt down... Where exactly was my money?
It took about a MONTH of calling every other day to find out. Finally I got someone's email, so I could get documents and sort it out. No one knew where the other $9K had gone--literally--they didn't know how much or where it was. I had to specifically harp on them for about a month to figure it out. Basically, FDR had payments refunded--when they tried to pay Bank of America, they declined the payment. They sent it again, and again. They were sending tiny random payments over, and over again to BoA, each time taking out a $7 fee. My money, which I was making SERIOUS life changes to be able to afford, was just circling around in some weird banking nightmare where no one really knew WHAT was happening. So I asked for them to stop sending payments. All of the sudden, about $6K was returned to my account. Perfect, I need this money to get a lawyer, can I please withdraw it?
That's where the fun REALLY began--it took them close to a MONTH to give me a refund, and as I type this I'm hoping it FINALLY comes tonight. I've had to cancel legal counsel because of it, and I was told it was "on its way" when it clearly wasn't, for about two weeks. I called almost every day to find out what was happening--finally the guy on the phone was terrible enough that I just quit. He asked me "What exactly" I needed MY MONEY for--these people aren't credit counselors, it's a crazy thing to ask a person who's been trying to get a refund for two weeks. He then told me that they would have to send a check and it'd take up to three weeks. Then he told me that there would be fees taken out of it.
None of this was true--I just had to get really pushy, pretty rude, and EXTREMELY FIRM, and turns out they can wire it directly to me with a 24hr time (fingers crossed). They lied about the cost of the program, they lied about their legal counsel if you get sued, they lied to me about my refund for weeks (it's on its way!). I don't have a ton of money to throw around, this is a HUGE amount to me. They didn't do their job, they didn't pay attention to anything that was happening on my account, and it wasn't worth it to deal with them.
Essentially, they are VERY happy to sign you up--you get PRIMO treatment in the beginning. Then they 'negotiate' your past-due accounts, collect their fees (the fees are about 20-30%) and then dump you. They never worked on my accounts again--they didn't say anything when payments were refunded, they actively tried to swindle me out of cash I paid to my account. TL, DR: Through a perfect combination of incompetence and shady business practices, they stole about $4K from me. It seems like a good idea in theory, but they don't follow through. Once they have their fee (it was $2,000 for a $8,000 settlement) they stop working for you.

I was desperate to get my debt resolved and my only choice left seemed to be bankruptcy. Talking with their rep gave me hope and I signed on. Things were okay at first. After 6 months, my two biggest credit problems had not even been touched by them. I get an email saying that I was able to have my debts all paid off immediately, boost my credit, and have a loan granted by their affiliated loan company, Consolidated Plus.
I went through all the paperwork and was approved for the loan. I was told the interest was 22% and my bi-weekly payments were going up $50. I had thought this was to get the debt cleared faster and the higher interest rate. My debt was settled for roughly $8000 and I was very happy with that. I just went to get a payoff on the loan and found payoff of the loan was for OVER $13,000. I had assumed the $13,000 included the compounded interest. When I asked why the loan was so high, I was told that there was a $5000 fee added by Freedom Debt Relief for handling my payoffs. $5000? That's more than half of what my debt was settled for and it put me in a WORSE financial position than what I was at before. I can understand a fee for services, but that amount is absurd.
I will take some of the blame because I was desperate and probably not paying enough attention to what I was told, but I do believe I would have remembered being told about a $5000 fee. They may have stated it as a percentage of my debt (Which I probably assumed was what was paid off, NOT what was originally owed). Luckily for me, I will never need their services again. Anyone looking to use them, please be more diligent than me when doing your research. If I fully knew then what they were going to charge me, I would have looked for an alternative.
We consider our program an alternative option to consumers who are faced with the choice of filing bankruptcy. Updated on 04/02/2020: Freedom came highly recommended and Jordan, the rep, was very trustworthy. He made me feel very comfortable and he answered anytime I called back. The reps helped me through the process. They told me what would be a good amount, asked me if that was something I could do, if I wanted to do more or less and what would be workable for me because that way, they kinda knew what to work with. I had a couple issues with a couple creditors but I got the National Litigator when I signed up so a couple times, I’ve had to use them as a liaison to go through. Freedom has been great to work with and I’m on my path. I’ve got more than half of my cards done and everything was great.
Original Review: FDR provides a great program to help you pay off your debt, still remain responsible, avoid bankruptcy, and rebuild your credit all while getting out of debt for good as long as you are willing to do your part and stick with the program guidelines. You will see your progress and be glad you decided to work with them. They are always available to talk to about anything you need or don't understand or have a concern about. I was very dissatisfied with the service this time around because when I received the summons in the mail to appear in court because Synchrony Bank [Care Credit] was taking me there because of not being paid, so I called you to let you know what was going on and was told I had to call the same day I received the summons even though I did not receive it until 8pm that evening. I do not have any extra money to donate to my account and now I have to miss a day of work to appear in court to fight my case and hopefully I will win or maybe they will throw it out but in any case I have to miss a day's work because of this.

I sent an email to Support@freedomdebtrelief.com on Jan 3, 2019 requesting "Please immediately discontinue the NLLG Monthly Service Fees ($12) and NLLG Legal Subscription Service for my account **." Support sent me a form reply email telling me to call a Support representative at 800-655-6303. Which I did on Jan 4, 2019. I was assured by the Support representative on Jan 4, 2019 that my request would be put in the FDR system. I told the Support representative that I expected no more NLLG Fees would be paid from my account. He said he could not guarantee this. I checked my FDR account today 1/8/2019, I have been charged a NLLG Fee. This is unacceptable performance by FDR.

I am really happy with the movement in getting my debt resolved in a quick manner. The paperwork for moving forward with resolution could be handled better. There are no notifications in my dashboard that lets me know to check my email (which I do not check daily) for important papers to be signed off on. The NLLG litigation law group is lackluster in helping you understand what it is that needs done in a timely manner. If you have materials to sign thru DocuSign, they expire and it is virtually impossible to get another one sent to you to get it moving. Very frustrating process to say the least.

The representative that I spoke with this morning, Stephen, was excellent. I have been a FDR client for approximately 2-3 months and after speaking with Stephen, he explained your entire procedure for making resolutions and payment plans. So far my experience has totaled 1 year and My peace of mind has returned in that I know a completion of our credit card debt is possible and manageable through FDR. We have reached settlement agreements on almost half of our debted accounts, and as we continue our monthly payments toward the same I see a debt free life over the next few years of commitment. Before I started with FDR it was like swimming in mud! Most people look forward to pay day, I hated it! Not only did my whole check get taken for debts owed I would have to borrow to pay and get further underwater! I found FDR when I was so far gone I didn't think I'd survive. I never thought I'd make it to the other side of things. Especially after a lawsuit was brought against me and the coverage through NLLG was refused, FDR saved me. I also appreciate the company they've partnered with that provides loans to settle earlier. I still have to pay that off pretty aggressively, but now my credit is recovering and I don't feel the psychological stress and anxiety of never getting out of debt or the connections to people/companies from my past that are represented by the debt.

When I called Freedom Debt Relief I had originally wanted to get a loan to pay off my growing credit card debt. The loan wasn’t the right fit for me and I spoke with Carlos at length about what you could do to help me. He was very patient with me always accepting my phone call and if you could not accept my phone call he got right back to me. It seems like this man never sleeps because he’s working so hard to help people. This service seems to be the right fit for me and I’m excited to see where it goes. I hadn’t really spoken to anyone about my dad ever and telling Carlos about it was fairly easy. I have a feeling Carlos is just a great person but he is also very good at his job. Very pleasant transaction. The person was able to assist me quickly and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Wasn’t able to sign in to my dashboard so had to reset my password. They were good in the beginning, however I lost my job and was starting another one. I contacted them to let them know my situation, and they asked for a letter and my bank statement with all pages. I sent it, Yes I was behind but between jobs AND I LET THEM KNOW THAT! I have made my payments regular now and they still reported on my credit. My score lowered over 50 points. It's ok, I don't need anything right now. It's just the fact they said they would work with me and they didn’t. I called them, the very next morning they are calling me again for payment. I just started my job, and they want to blow up my phone all day for a scheduled payment so I don't get a late charge of about $5.00??? I don’t recommend them. You can actually call your debtors and do the same thing they did.

We do not report to your credit report as we're not the creditors and our program is not a debt consolidation loan program! We do not charge any late fees yet alone hammer you with calls. It will take approximately 6 years to resolve my debt issue. I am now 3 years into it. It has not been easy. but I am amazed how FDR can negotiate my debt and bring it down. I am so thankful. Looking forward to resolve this issue completely in 3 more years.

My agent although was very professional, I was feeling a bit confused and rushed on various aspects of what your program offers. Still confused about reaching out with questions. What the legal program I am supposed to have as part of this debt relief. I do like having a dashboard to see progress. Also videos how to handle creditors.

The only experience I have had with FDR is contacting them to help me with my debt problem. I register with them and doing as they have instructed me. Until negotiations start with the creditors then I will be able to express my experience.

My experience so far is good, I just start with the program and everything is fine. Hopefully I pay the debt in half on the time, it is my goal. Right now I just make the require amount but eventually I would like to pay more.

I have been on the plan for almost two years. They do negotiate with creditors, but it destroys your credit (not surprising) while they wait to negotiate which can take years. Meanwhile, your accounts have defaulted and your credit score just keeps dropping. The fees they charge per account is also outrageous. I'm talking thousands of dollars. It's dependent on the dollar amount of each enrolled account, but I think I could have saved money and my credit if I had worked directly with each credit card to work out a plan.

My experience has been good with FDR thus far. They have settled on three accounts to date and one is paid and another is almost paid. They have been able to work with my creditors to get my balances reduced so they are much more manageable to get paid off. Thank you.

I have been using FDR for more than three years and it seems that is going ok. I wish the negotiators be more aggressive. They play nice with the credits and they not aggressive enough to get a better deal. Furthermore, is the creditor goes to court FDR will settle for the full balance vs negotiating the debt. They are having a great service, they are lacking good negotiators.

I am so pleased with the fast settlement of my accounts. In less than a year, I was able to close 5 accounts out of 18. Now I'm working on another 6 and slowly but surely settled according to my ability to pay. Less stress. The NLLG (law firm) was also helpful in guiding us on the right direction to put things in order when we received a notice for a case. Highly recommended! Great customer service too!

Overall the service/product is excellent. Early on communication was not so good, but has improved greatly. By that I mean responses to emails sent to you with documentation and or request for information, many times were unanswered or responses were not timely. As I said however, in the past several months these problems have not been an issue. Folks we have had the pleasure to talk with have been awesome. I have recommended our services to others. I've had an excellent experience with Freedom. Started out shaky in the beginning with my credit score dropping, but as I keep plugging away at it, it's going up little by little. They've settled almost all of my accounts in a fair amount of time. And for a lot less than I would have owed.

When I try to see my account, it will not let me enter. I put my email address and password in, it will not let me enter my account to check my information. Customer service tried to help me but they had trouble with it.They tried to help but they could get me into my account.

I wanted to get rid some debts and I was able to enroll these with Freedom Debt Relief. FDR has been great except for this one call I just had. Sometimes, they do not look and see the comments and see what's going on. Sometimes, there is a customer who might not be asking the right questions and they need to research a little bit better in my account to see what's going on before they give me an answer. The service is working just as I expected and it's working because I understand but I don't know if all the consumers who enroll in FDR truly understand the program. I don't think it's made clear and I'm a person in the finance world, so I know all the questions to ask. The regular everyday person might not because they're not in that field. Sometimes, it can be a little confusing and frustrating.
I called them, and the first representative that I spoke with was good but he really didn't answer my question. If he had looked at the notes, he would have been able to give me the right direction. I gave him a good rating because he answered my questions and he was patient. It's just not what I was looking for, then I had to call back, and I got someone else. I explained what my issue was, and that representative went through all of the notes, and she was able to answer my questions where I understood what was going on.
Other than that, I would still recommend the program. They told me what to expect and how to be successful in it. When I initially enrolled, they gave me the payment plan and I was fine with that. I have one account settled, another one that will be settled in one month, and I just settled another account. The fee is a little high but if you truly want to get out of debt, just listen to what the representatives are saying. Follow the plan exactly and do exactly what they say, like changing your addresses with your creditors. I've never received one phone call from these creditors. The client dashboard is also great. It lets you know what’s going on. When they send you an email, respond to it immediately. It worked out for me. It’s been a year this month that I've been in the program and I've been very successful.

I have been extremely satisfied with the customer service when I have called FDR for questions. I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that my “graduation” date kept moving further out. The biggest hit came last month when I realized my biggest debt was the last to be resolved which resulted in the extension of my payoff date, and NO debt relief with BAC. The legal representation I paid extra for was to no avail, as I would pay more than the enrolled amount to BAC. The customer service I received from NLLG was horrible. I wanted to make good of my debts, but after the last transaction, I am not sure I would recommend FDR over filing for bankruptcy.

Please consider the fact that although this creditor posed some challenges in resolving the balance, we were able to successfully settle the other enrolled balances on your account. You are still well on your way to becoming debt-free. Once you graduate from our program, all of the debts will be behind you.

Update on 12/28 2019: I have had such a good experience with Freedom Debt Relief. So far they have settled 2 accounts for me and I have 1 left for them to settle. I was very skeptical at when joining but I am so glad that I did. The stress of paying these off with minimum payments is no longer there. My monthly payments come out automatically and I don't even notice. I have no more worries since I've joined. They take care of it all.
Original Review: I called looking for advice as the bank again took out the money for a loan I have with them and that left me with no money. I was advised to open a new account with a different bank and to close my current account out so that can't happen again. I was also advised that I could take some money out of my escrow so that I have something to fall back on. Ariel ** was amazing and so helpful and caring. I was bawling my eyes out and she was so sweet and encouraging. She made me feel so much better and important. I am now going on Saturday to open a new account and then close the one I have now. I have to wait until then because the bank closes at 4 and I don't get out of work now until 4:30. Thank you Ariel so much!!!
