I sent an email to Support@freedomdebtrelief.com on Jan 3, 2019 requesting "Please immediately discontinue the NLLG Monthly Service Fees ($12) and NLLG Legal Subscription Service for my account **." Support sent me a form reply email telling me to call a Support representative at 800-655-6303. Which I did on Jan 4, 2019. I was assured by the Support representative on Jan 4, 2019 that my request would be put in the FDR system. I told the Support representative that I expected no more NLLG Fees would be paid from my account. He said he could not guarantee this. I checked my FDR account today 1/8/2019, I have been charged a NLLG Fee. This is unacceptable performance by FDR.

Therefore, we have to notify the law firm when FDR clients no longer choose to be enrolled in their services. I am really happy with the movement in getting my debt resolved in a quick manner. The paperwork for moving forward with resolution could be handled better. There are no notifications in my dashboard that lets me know to check my email (which I do not check daily) for important papers to be signed off on. The NLLG litigation law group is lackluster in helping you understand what it is that needs done in a timely manner. If you have materials to sign thru DocuSign, they expire and it is virtually impossible to get another one sent to you to get it moving. Very frustrating process to say the least.

The representative that I spoke with this morning, Stephen, was excellent. I have been a FDR client for approximately 2-3 months and after speaking with Stephen, he explained your entire procedure for making resolutions and payment plans. I have been inundated with telephone calls from creditors and do report to FDR when debt collectors call my house and leave messages with too much information on them. I feel that I am in great hands with FDR and can't wait to have a resolution for all of my creditors. Thank you.

So far my experience has totaled 1 year and My peace of mind has returned in that I know a completion of our credit card debt is possible and manageable through FDR. We have reached settlement agreements on almost half of our debted accounts, and as we continue our monthly payments toward the same I see a debt free life over the next few years of commitment. I am no longer at my wit's end regarding our debts, and I know we are making an honest effort to honor them through this resolution process. Thank you Pierre and FDR.

Before I started with FDR it was like swimming in mud! Most people look forward to pay day, I hated it! Not only did my whole check get taken for debts owed I would have to borrow to pay and get further underwater! I found FDR when I was so far gone I didn't think I'd survive. They have saved me thousands already and my credit score is creeping up. I'm not scared to answer the phone anymore and I actually look forward to payday now! There is light at the end of the debt tunnel! They've also ALWAYS provided me with amazing customer service and are always very friendly and personable! The correspondence on how my accounts are doing never leaves me wondering what's going on with them! Thank you!!

I never thought I'd make it to the other side of things. Especially after a lawsuit was brought against me and the coverage through NLLG was refused, FDR saved me. I also appreciate the company they've partnered with that provides loans to settle earlier. I still have to pay that off pretty aggressively, but now my credit is recovering and I don't feel the psychological stress and anxiety of never getting out of debt or the connections to people/companies from my past that are represented by the debt.

There are so many things I like about the FDR. They're the best debt relief service. I was never hassle by creditors or collection agency. Customer service was greattt. I just think some of the settlement fee were high. But still BEST Service out there.

We received a certified letter from one of our creditors asking us to make a payment or they were going to take further steps with our account. The representative I spoke to was very helpful explaining what was happening and what to do going forward.

When I called Freedom Debt Relief I had originally wanted to get a loan to pay off my growing credit card debt. The loan wasn’t the right fit for me and I spoke with Carlos at length about what you could do to help me. He was very patient with me always accepting my phone call and if you could not accept my phone call he got right back to me. It seems like this man never sleeps because he’s working so hard to help people. This service seems to be the right fit for me and I’m excited to see where it goes. I hadn’t really spoken to anyone about my dad ever and telling Carlos about it was fairly easy. I have a feeling Carlos is just a great person but he is also very good at his job. If you get Carlos on the phone you are one lucky person.

Very pleasant transaction. The person was able to assist me quickly and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Wasn’t able to sign in to my dashboard so had to reset my password. Followed the online procedure but NEVER received a temporary code so had to call in. That was the 2nd time I did not receive the code to reset. Still waiting for the reset passcode to come through. It’s been about 2 weeks since first request. So I called and was helped immediately.

I feel finally like I can breathe... to know I'm now creating a solution to this overwhelming debt and obtaining help to represent me. Hopefully by 4 years this nightmare will end for me :) When I think of how most of my payments is only paying their interest its just highway robbery. So many Americans are suffering. Nearly 10 months into this program, I am VERY pleased with the process and outcome thus far. For those looking at the fees, current credit score and overhead... your choice. I look at the settlement amounts and resolved accounts! Money saved + fees paid = accounts resolved... Great formula. My credit making its way to recovery. They were good in the beginning, however I lost my job and was starting another one. I contacted them to let them know my situation, and they asked for a letter and my bank statement with all pages. I sent it, Yes I was behind but between jobs AND I LET THEM KNOW THAT! I have made my payments regular now and they still reported on my credit. My score lowered over 50 points. It's ok, I don't need anything right now. It's just the fact they said they would work with me and they didn’t. I called them, the very next morning they are calling me again for payment. I just started my job, and they want to blow up my phone all day for a scheduled payment so I don't get a late charge of about $5.00??? I don’t recommend them. You can actually call your debtors and do the same thing they did.

I have been on the plan for almost two years. They do negotiate with creditors, but it destroys your credit (not surprising) while they wait to negotiate which can take years. Meanwhile, your accounts have defaulted and your credit score just keeps dropping. The fees they charge per account is also outrageous. I'm talking thousands of dollars. It's dependent on the dollar amount of each enrolled account, but I think I could have saved money and my credit if I had worked directly with each credit card to work out a plan.

I have been using FDR for more than three years and it seems that is going ok. I wish the negotiators be more aggressive. They play nice with the credits and they not aggressive enough to get a better deal. Furthermore, is the creditor goes to court FDR will settle for the full balance vs negotiating the debt. They are having a great service, they are lacking good negotiators.

I am so pleased with the fast settlement of my accounts. In less than a year, I was able to close 5 accounts out of 18. Now I'm working on another 6 and slowly but surely settled according to my ability to pay. Less stress. Overall the service/product is excellent. Early on communication was not so good, but has improved greatly. By that I mean responses to emails sent to you with documentation and or request for information, many times were unanswered or responses were not timely. I wanted to get rid some debts and I was able to enroll these with Freedom Debt Relief. FDR has been great except for this one call I just had. Sometimes, they do not look and see the comments and see what's going on. Sometimes, there is a customer who might not be asking the right questions and they need to research a little bit better in my account to see what's going on before they give me an answer. The service is working just as I expected and it's working because I understand but I don't know if all the consumers who enroll in FDR truly understand the program. I don't think it's made clear and I'm a person in the finance world, so I know all the questions to ask. The regular everyday person might not because they're not in that field. Sometimes, it can be a little confusing and frustrating.
I called them, and the first representative that I spoke with was good but he really didn't answer my question. If he had looked at the notes, he would have been able to give me the right direction. I gave him a good rating because he answered my questions and he was patient. It's just not what I was looking for, then I had to call back, and I got someone else. I explained what my issue was, and that representative went through all of the notes, and she was able to answer my questions where I understood what was going on.
Other than that, I would still recommend the program. They told me what to expect and how to be successful in it. When I initially enrolled, they gave me the payment plan and I was fine with that. I have one account settled, another one that will be settled in one month, and I just settled another account. The fee is a little high but if you truly want to get out of debt, just listen to what the representatives are saying. Follow the plan exactly and do exactly what they say, like changing your addresses with your creditors. I've never received one phone call from these creditors. The client dashboard is also great. It lets you know what’s going on. When they send you an email, respond to it immediately. It worked out for me. It’s been a year this month that I've been in the program and I've been very successful.

I have been extremely satisfied with the customer service when I have called FDR for questions. I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that my “graduation” date kept moving further out. The biggest hit came last month when I realized my biggest debt was the last to be resolved which resulted in the extension of my payoff date, and NO debt relief with BAC. The legal representation I paid extra for was to no avail, as I would pay more than the enrolled amount to BAC. The customer service I received from NLLG was horrible. I wanted to make good of my debts, but after the last transaction, I am not sure I would recommend FDR over filing for bankruptcy.

Update on 12/28 2019: I have had such a good experience with Freedom Debt Relief. So far they have settled 2 accounts for me and I have 1 left for them to settle. I was very skeptical at when joining but I am so glad that I did. The stress of paying these off with minimum payments is no longer there. My monthly payments come out automatically and I don't even notice. I have no more worries since I've joined. They take care of it all.
Original Review: I called looking for advice as the bank again took out the money for a loan I have with them and that left me with no money. I was advised to open a new account with a different bank and to close my current account out so that can't happen again. I was also advised that I could take some money out of my escrow so that I have something to fall back on. Ariel ** was amazing and so helpful and caring. I was bawling my eyes out and she was so sweet and encouraging. She made me feel so much better and important. I am now going on Saturday to open a new account and then close the one I have now. I have to wait until then because the bank closes at 4 and I don't get out of work now until 4:30. Thank you Ariel so much!!!

Other than losing my perfect payment record, I have seen no other changes thus far. When I enlisted, I was told I would see changes, then I saw the video and it said I had to endure four to six months of creditor calls.

I am disappointed with the service, fees, and overall misleading nature of this company. They have held my debt hostage in order to make more money in fees off of me. I would not recommend, instead, negotiate directly with your debtors for the same reductions and no fees (I've paid more than $5K).

For the most part, the negotiations went quickly and as described. However, when it REALLY mattered (one of my creditors filed a lawsuit against me), FDR provided very limited information and failed to respond when it really mattered most to me. They provided incorrect information, bad timelines, and simply did NOT respond to requests for information on my final account. I ended up "settling" for the FULL amount owed and late/legal fees, etc. Also, dealing with a creditor that claims they didn't receive full payment. Pretty disappointing since it started out so good. Also, PAY ATTENTION to the fees, they are pretty high :(.

The worst part of this process is waiting to accumulate enough in account to do something about the debt. The debtors are NOT waiting for me to accumulate enough to start negotiations AND it can take a long time to save enough!! I read some of the reviews of Freedom Debt Relief and people had spoken well about it so I decided to seek out their services. Never had I not been able to pay a bill before and it was a big thing for me to overcome and to even talk to somebody about it. Freedom’s service has been excellent and anytime I have a question, there is always somebody there to answer it any day of the week. My negotiator called and came in on the day that he was off to talk to me. I was told that no matter what, I gotta stick with the program and that people will call but I just have to be okay with it. He also told me that it isn't gonna be an instant. They will call up the company and it will be done.
When we worked with the payment plan, they asked me what I was comfortable paying. I looked at what I was paying and what bills they were trying to take care of and then we came up with the payment. Their customer support is good. I had one settlement but the company sent me a bill and they kept saying that it was late. But Freedom already paid it so it was not late. They were just sending it to me trying to get two payments. All in all, Freedom Debt Relief provided me with great service and working with them has taken a lot of my stress.

I feel that the fees that are being charged are a bit too much however I have been satisfied with the overall outcome so far. I started the program a few months ago but nothing has happened yet other than the hit on my credit. My credit was good but I just could not handle all the payments. I didn't miss very many of them so I was hard to let go of not paying. I don’t hear much from anyone... I just make my payments hoping FDR will do what they say. This program has completed ruined our credit and made our financial situation significantly worse than before we started the program. The initial monthly payment plan has increased for us by $390 and we had to come up with $2550 immediately to settle a debt that could not be settled in a structure settlement and led to 2 lawsuits. We do not recommend anyone using FDR.

I received notice that I was being taken to court. When I reached out to FD and uploaded the papers to the dash I received an email the next day telling me I needed to get this to National lit. They gave me an email address that did not go through. So I sent an email to request the correct address. I finally got a response about a week later. When I submitted it to them their reply was that they could not help me because it was over two day since I was served. After a very angry email to both I received notice of a settlement about 2 day after this and felt like I was being forced to accept it at a higher amount. Not happy about this at all.

As you know that the U.S. president has lied a lot. His former lawyer Michael Cohen pleads guilty to lying over Russia investigation. After Christmas day, Donald Trump lied to the troops when his surprise visiting in Iraq by saying “We are always going to protect you. And you just saw that, ’cause you just got one of the biggest pay raises you’ve ever received. You haven’t gotten one in more than 10 years... blah, blah, blah” Donald Trump says it’s okay for him to lie since “people agree with me.”
Trump reminds me a lot of Freedom Debt Relief. Let me clarify about Freedom “Trump” Debt Relief. There are no difference between Freedom Debt Relief and Trump’s fabulous lies. I’ve read all reviews about FDR, I’ve noticed that a lot of dumb people like Trump voters as they mostly left reviews of FDR too soon and early within weeks, a month and less than 3 months. I don’t lie that they will be drowned with FDR in a year.
Let me begin with my experience with FDR. Before I enrolled into the scam program, I’ve spoken with Daniel ** (certified Debt Consultant ) in the phone. He tried too hard convincing me to enroll into the program. He NEVER explained to me in details such as tax, settlement fees (very high rate fees) and my other great credit cards that don’t work with FDR would be reduced my original credit limit and closed immediately without a warning (I’m not sure about mortgage so wish you a good luck). Anyway, he pushed me to join FDR while we talked on the phone, when I decided to join the program, he told me not to read the agreement that I had to sign up all my initial name and my signature on the agreement. No question, he’s definitely a con artist and he will have a blast with karma because he lives a lie.
I’ve called three different FDR representatives, they told me complete different stories and details that I never heard before enrolling the program. They sounded a lot like the president ??? it’s not worth your time dealing with them, and your creditors will endlessly bother and call you through your smartphone or at your home or your parents’ phone number and your workplace - (they will find a way to contact you in an odd way) strangely enough, FDR would encourage you to ignore all of their calls — are you kidding me?! Believe me, you will save more money if you never work with FDR. I learned that Discover and Lending Club aren’t allowed to be negotiating and settling. That’s what FDR told me they would help me eliminate debts with Discover and Lending Club??? If FDR knew about this, why would they put me at risk? That means they don’t give a ** about you.
If you have a problem with FDR, I highly suggest you to report it to Federal Trade Commission and don’t hesitate to make a review on BBB.org. Also, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) had sued Freedom Debt Relief on November 8, 2017: **. Conclusion, if you don’t believe what Trump says, don’t fall for Freedom Debt Relief, they both are much the SAME. Stay away from Freedom Debt Relief, they will just exploit your stupidity and your MONEY. Without doubt, they don’t care about you. Trump’s people have been already in trouble so Freedom Debt Relief WILL be in trouble.

The company has done what they claimed they would. Gotten me out of a tight spot with debt. I recommend them to anyone struggling with debt. My credit has suffered of course but it's not as bad as bankruptcy. Credit can be slowly rebuilt, I've learned my lesson about debt. Cash is king, I only use debit card now.

The primary reason why I decided to go with your program was during your sales pitch was how you were going to negotiate with the lenders up front for pay off amounts. Once that total amount was known you would then have your "subsidiary lender" place that total into a loan with a monthly payment. This of course would expedite improvements to my credit rating. This has not happened with negotiations still ongoing with some of the original lenders and I am highly dissatisfied. This should not be taking so long.

I don't understand why the creditor has not bother to show account as pay off when the last payment was in July. What do I need to do to close my account with you guys? I would never use this place again. They just take money from you, state everything they will do for you, and then don’t. You would be better off at working with the creditors than having your credit destroyed while Freedom Debt Relief sits around and twiddles their thumbs.

Asked a simple question on what my credit report should look like after this is done, he couldn't tell me, except for some creditors do it different. Why I joined is because as I understand it, when this is finished I wouldn't have on my credit report any sign that I ever had credit with the settled creditors. Rep now tells me not only would the creditor still be there, the late and missed payments would be also, for all that cared to look at my report. What gives? What SHOULD my report look like when this is done?

When a account is turned over to a lawyer in your behalf you will get screwed! They don’t negotiate at all for you. I have had experience with 2 lawyers and they are equally bad. As long as they get paid nothing else matters!!! Very unsatisfied with that part of Freedom Debt!

I got a 50 percent discount on one account. The same bank Synchrony I had two more Accts that I got 40 percent. I called to ask why. I was told I could not talk to anyone. "Just accept it or don’t“. I understood I would have input. Obviously I don’t. Not happy but now am so delinquent I don’t have a choice.

Depending on the department store the bank is through could be the reason why they did not accept the same settlement. Anytime we reach a settlement you do have the choice to accept settlement or not. At the point, you do not accept the offer we can always renegotiate but it's not guaranteed the creditor will accept a lower amount than the first settlement. Showed from the start how much savings with credit card combinations and how much each monthly payments would be before signing any contract, combined all bills to help before the phone call and they even pulled credit reports to ensure that we could reconstruct all bills due and gave us our options of when and how much to saved. It has been nice we to make arrangements to pay on our account to pay off our unsecured debt. I know we are still working on getting our payments in & have to deal with lower scores on our credit reports, especially as there is debt that wasn't picked up when we initially signed up that we are working on clearing or settling on our side. I do wish we were able to make weekly payments instead of having to call in each week to set it up. We are planning on making extra payments in the next year to help pay off our settlements sooner so our credit score isn't below 580 to hopefully qualify for home within the next 2-3 years.

I've been less than thrilled with Freedom Debt. They absolutely never contact me for anything. When a new debt needs to be settled they text me. I've had two accounts that they dropped the ball on and just quit paying. One was settled in court and was ordered to be paid. Anytime I need to call them it's a hassle. All around disappointing.

The amount that have to be added to our income when filing taxes. The fees and that amount should be able to deduct off my taxes. When using another debt consolation program in the past, I did not have to count the deducted amount on my taxes and, I was working at the time. Good service. Need more updates. Very informative when contacted. Having some misunderstanding on the way you sometimes interact with my creditors, and where my money goes each month. Feel like we should communicated more on the process and to understand the completion date on this loan, which was agreed open at the beginning of four years to complete loan. I'm not sure we're going to run over that time and additional funds needed.

The fees are outrageous. I had to call once to see if I could have a two day delay on the payment being pulled due to circumstances, and was very curtly told no & that it would affect my payment schedule. Not when you are only putting $5-/month on some of them it won't, and I am paying a little extra every month. I don't supposed that if I get it paid off early that they will lump sum payments to be done instead of dragging it out.

Updated on 10/21/2020: While the pain of having to go to debt freedom has been tough. They do an incredible job. I have paid off about half my debt. I needed to stay on plan but things happen and I adjusted as did they.

I am totally happy with Freedom Debt Relief as they handle my debts, I was so stressed and just felt buried in debt with credit cards that I thought I could handle. I found out that I could not pay them off, and only got further in debt, so was so lucky the day I went online and was introduced to the Freedom Debt Relief help. I am very very satisfied. I took a $25,000 a year pay cut and got behind. I needed to do something, so I researched and Freedom Debt Relief seemed like they would satisfy my needs. They helped me get everything all set up, then it was a waiting game. At first, it started slowly and one has to expect the credit to get worse before they can settle. Their staff is very helpful and I had a designated person who I communicated with through email, but anyone could help out. Freedom helped me settle 15 accounts. Updated on 01/20/2021: There were two fellows that I was going back and forth with. They were both very responsive to any question I had and I didn't wait a day before they got back to me about whatever my concern was. FDR has paid off two of my cards and I have two left, and they're working on one right now. I've been able to make all my payments every month to the Freedom Debt people, so it's been a very positive experience. It's gonna probably take me another possibly 12 months to pay off. It could be less than that.
Original review: I went with Freedom Debt Relief at the suggestion of a friend who was having a very good experience with this company. I had broken my arm and was between insurance carriers when I was faced with astronomical bills to pay and unfortunately was relying on my credit cards to take care of things. My minimum payments were getting larger and finally I had to do something about the stress. I am so grateful to have found FDR and within the first year, I have paid off a major credit debt thanks to my case worker and his incomparable team of associates. We are now on to tackling the next card and I expect to be out of debt in the next 2 years or less. I cannot recommend Freedom Debt highly enough. It's great to have peace of mind again.

I was severely in debt and was with another program. I saw an ad online for FDR and switched immediately. In a few short months, they renegotiated three credit card accounts for almost half of what I owed. As long as you make your monthly payments on time you will have nothing to worry about. You have the option to skip a payment if you need the money for an emergency and the option to add money to your account at Crossroads Financial Technologies. I feel so at ease using them. No annoying phone calls, no monthly bills. I wish I knew about them earlier. FDR is the Best.

I am usually quite frustrated when I call, I'm so far in debt due to medical issues, but mostly I am calmed by one of your operators. Most seem to be understanding and caring and wish to be helpful. I was unable to work for over a year, and I state so when I call, so I do get upset when I'm asked to make extra payments. If I HAD extra payments, I would be paying... I'm barely scraping by and that's why I'm using Freedom Debt Relief. I understand how the program works, the more I pay, the sooner I graduate... no one wants that more than me. But I'm in the program because I have had hardships. Please don't make me feel worse for not having several extra hundred dollars each month... Thanks.

Updated on 07/01/2020: They did all the negotiating with all my debtors, which I had about 10. ‘Cause those credit card people, they can get nasty. The only one that won’t negotiate with us is the Discover card. Right now, they’re in limbo. I haven’t heard from them. I tried working with them, and they would have none of it.
They would have none of it through the Freedom Debt Relief negotiator. Freedom Debt Relief provides the clients with a lawyer too, and he tried to negotiate with them, and they wouldn’t have anything to do with me. So, right now, they’re not being paid. That debt is still there. I have not heard from them. I don’t know if there’s a lien on my house.
The only disappointment I had in Freedom Debt Relief was the lawyers. Their own lawyers suggested, based on the amount of debt that I had with just Discover card, that I should file bankruptcy. But we just removed the Discover card debt off of my program. I don’t think their lawyers should be giving us advice to file bankruptcy. But other than that, they were all very respectful, very non-judgmental and very kind. For me, working with Freedom has all worked out very well. It has taken a huge load off my shoulders. I sleep well at night, and I know it’s being taken care of and we’ll be done with them in another year. We also have a savings account now. We’re able to carry on.
Original Review: I was getting calls from one creditor who suggested it would be in my best interest to call them back and I called FDR to see if I should call them back. I gave FDR the information I had and FDR called this creditor for me. Overall, I am so pleased I found this company and have been totally impressed and grateful for their knowledge, their compassion and their service. I have at least 2 more years to graduate and I am so glad they are with me every step.

The overall customer service has been excellent. We have only been customers for about 7 to 8 months. We have had one experience with the legal group NLG and it had been excellent. I recommend signing up for the service. Freedom Debt Relief has resolved more than half of our debt and we couldn't be happier. Most of them are in a payment plan at this point. Fees are little high though but worth it in the end I hope.

I had about 11 credit cards and I had to go through all of them. I had them on QuickPay and they took out a minimum on a paycheck. I got into that situation because my wife died about a couple of years ago and I was using the credit cards to pay some of my bills. But it got to a point where it just got to me. I couldn’t do it anymore. I was in a lot of financial hardship and I was thinking about filing bankruptcy. But I didn’t want to go that way so I thought about it for a while. When I met Freedom Debt Relief, I thought maybe it was worth a try so I went ahead and called them up. You have to qualify for Freedom Debt Relief and they said I was a good candidate for it. I pay a fee every month and I'm about seven months in now. So far, they've been doing a good job. They're up to date and they've settled three already. Right now, I'm very satisfied.

I can’t wait until I start the program. This seems like the only way that I will be able to get out of debt. My husband passed away in April. I didn’t know what to do. I owed money to everybody. Then I found FDR and I think everything will be taken care of.

My only complaint was the legal process with NPG legal team. No one would call me back, I seemed to be put on the back burner during a pretty scary time (getting served, thinking I could go to jail...you know, those types of things). I just would have appreciated them to be more in communication with me. Otherwise I've very much enjoyed Freedom Debt Relief.
We can understand why you would prefer stronger communication from our legal services team at NLLG. It can be a daunting process if you are unclear as to what is going on. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during this time. It is rewarding to know that in the end, they were able to successfully provide you with the service you needed. Update on 01/05/2019: At this point, I don’t have a very positive opinion of Freedom Debt Relief. They only recently put forth an effort to negotiate the remaining balances. Prior to now most of the debts that have been settled was handled through NLLG. They are not completing this agreement in the Four years agreed upon. Will take longer.
Original: My program is suppose to be completed March 2019. To date, half of the debt has not been negotiated. Several times I have had to add more money to the account to negotiate a debt because most of the money goes toward the company's and associate's fees.
We're sorry to learn of your disappointment, Ms. Brady. In reviewing your account, it appears you've complete a huge portion of your graduation path. We do take a fee, but not until a debt is resolved. The amount of the fee will vary depending on a client’s state of residence, total debt amount, etc. Typically, it ranges from 15% - 25% of total enrolled debt over the course of the program.

The whole point of me going through Freedom Debt Relief was mostly because of the Discover bill. They weren’t able to do anything with it. I had to pay $1,000.00 to “come with an offer to discover”, only to have them say I need to pay 100% of my bill. So basically it was pointless for me to go through FDR being as my sole purpose was to have an offer with Discover. I don’t feel like they tried to fight for me either. Very saddened.
We're so sorry you feel disappointed in our efforts to resolve the aforementioned account, Ms. Smith. Please know that our negotiators work extremely hard on behalf of our clients to settle balances for less than what is originally owed. Unfortunately, some creditors are more aggressive than others. In these cases, we still do our best to develop a plan to resolve the balance due. Although we cannot determine what actions creditors will take when attempting to collect on a balance, we can still prepare our clients for actions we've seen taken in the past. Thank you for working with our legal services team to resolve the account balance. Even though we were unsuccessful in lessening the balance amount, we were able to successfully satisfy the balance due. Once we've completed the scheduled payments to the legal firm, the debt will be behind you and you will no longer owe the balance. We understand this is not the favorable option, but it does still lead to a debt-free future. We hope to exceed your expectations in settling the remaining enrolled accounts. The adviser was able to answer my questions completely and quickly. Most things were able to be handled by emails. My case was submitted to another party to be able to pay off my accounts faster and work on recovery on my credit rating.
