Friendly employees who help you every step of the way with little to do on your end, I am using it for a much lower interest rate, yeah they do get a percentage but overall it is still less than in the long run. Seeing as I have just started I am still nervous about missing payments to creditors. Feels like I have made the right choice and time will tell if my credit score will go up as they claim.

I had credit card debts that I needed help with, particularly 10 credit cards. I’ve researched a lot of debt relief companies and customer service was my deciding point. I liked the way Freedom Debt Relief talked to me, the way they explained, and the way they made me feel no less than any other human, and that was very important to me. They did not make me feel like it was my fault, although I clearly understood that it was, they didn’t make me feel any lower than anyone else in this society. They offered me a debt consolidation service. They said that it would take around four years, but we were done in two because I took a second job.
You have to be serious when you contact them because if you’re not, then it makes no sense for you to contact them. They were extremely professional and I couldn’t say more about the company. They were very helpful, very knowledgeable, and understanding. They were really super great with me. With my personal experience, it was beyond what I expected and I truly am grateful. You can’t blame them if they say you need to make payments. I just committed to it and knew that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I am so happy that I put my trust in your company Freedom Debt Relief. You have managed to get two of my accounts taken care off. Now I don't have to worry about them. I have one more that has to be paid off or I won't be able to close on a house that I have been trying to sell for 2 years now. We will have to pay the Mortgage Company Bank $4,000 to just get it to closed, there is no money coming from the house but we want to get it closed so we don't have to keep paying the mortgage or let it slip into foreclosure.

FDR was the best move that I made. I was in deep deep credit card debt with no way out until I got in touch with friendly staff at FDR. I was like a lonely sailor lost at sea until FDR rescued me. I have no idea what you’ve done on your end. I have no idea if you’ve contacted all the outstanding companies that I’m in debt with. I only hear of something when an arrangement has been made. I see from invoices that my debt keeps rising. That confuses me and it seems that the agreements that have been made, you’re getting a huge percentage of that. So, I’m having faith but not feeling that you’re making me a part of the process.

I had to have an account removed because my bank paid it off so I now owe the bank. And the amount in question was incorrect that was received from one or more of the credit bureaus. There are now three accounts left. Best Buy, Edward Jones Mastercard, and Associated Visa.

FDR is by far the best program for handling financial issues. I was worried at first but after reading my manual and watching the videos I now know that there is really nothing to worry about. We put money into our account and Freedom Debt Relief would send the money to our credit card companies. When I call them, I don’t have to give my phone number all the time. Everything was resolved in a very timely manner and questions were explained. Everything was great, except we never thought about being charged up front for the service charge. Nonetheless, I would tell my friends to go with Freedom.

Since the day I made my application and was accepted, to date my creditors has not been paid. I know you will be collecting from my account towards same, as agreed upon on the 29th of each Month. My wife checked her credit report and an account you supposedly settled and paid off for us is still showing a balance of $200. I called customer support and was told “well you are going to have to contact them - we don’t have the power of attorney anymore”. As far as I’m you had power of attorney until the account was completely settled - we are paying you a fee to settle, negotiate and make sure everything is taken care of to full satisfaction.

I have been trying to get information on a case that went to court. Apparently it never was paid off in my behalf. The company has sold the account to another company. This other company has written me letters and now keeps calling. I had to refinance my house and the escrow company wants to charge me to pay off the same account. I should not have to pay for this twice. The account is Synchrony bank/Walmart. The company sold to is Global. The finance company doing the refinance is Secure One.

I received an email about a possible settlement with a creditor, had a question about it, so I called and got the answer I needed to move forward with the settlement! I approved the settlement amount there on the phone with the representative and she was so nice and very well informed!

The last call I made for assistance was regarding my credit score in the future when applying for a new lease in the spring. I was told by a representative that a letter could be written explaining I was in a debt reduction program and that is why my credit score has dropped. I hope that this will be all that I need as I will be moving in the spring.

Talked to Kelsey today. She was able to address all of my issues and concerns. She confirmed I've paid 10 monthly deposits. We have paid off 2 Cards and have settled with 3 more. My big issue was the last settlement. 47 months. At no time was your settlement fee ever discussed. I've been told by two of your people that it is in my terms of agreement. That is not an acceptable point.

I think customer service is amazing. The only issue I have is that I can never speak to a negotiator. I know they are busy but I feel like I’m playing the telephone game. Once in a while, I would like to speak to one to resolve a specific concern.

I joined Freedom Debt Relief in May of 2018. I set up my monthly payment and schedule and was on my way. Two things that were beyond my control took place. My mom needed ear surgery and my engine blew in my car. $2000.00 and 15 insufficient fund charges from my bank I decided that bankruptcy was my only choice. I called FDR on November 13, 2018 and gave them my decision. I was informed that it would take 21 day (3-15 business days) for me to receive my money back.
On December 10, 2018 I called and asked where my remaining funds are and was told again it would take 3-15 business days. I asked the gentleman on the phone to check the date I terminated FDR. He paused and said, "Let me talk to my manager. I'll be right back." I was told that I would receive my money on the 11th of December. December 11th and no money. I called again. Again I was told the 3-15 day monologue. He then went to a manager and I was placed on hold for 10 minutes. He came back and said that I had a debt settled and that took 2-3 weeks. After that it would take 3-15 business days... yada yada yada. The debt settlement has been completed about 2 weeks ago. I explained to him that the remaining money was mine and that they were free to take whatever I owed them and that if the remaining money was not sent to me by the end of this week that I will contact the BBB and my state's Attorney General for satisfaction.
We are so sorry to hear of your extreme dissatisfaction, Mr. Mooney. When clients terminate from our program, any outstanding fees are collected from the funds in the dedicated account. However, if no fees are owed/scheduled, all of the remaining funds are then returned to you, the client. If there are any outstanding fees scheduled, it can take up to 15 business days for the termination process to complete. Any funds owed to you are then refunded. Depending on the financial institution, the funds can be returned via physical check that is mailed out to the client or an ACH deposit into the banking account affiliated with our program.

Takes too long to pay debt off. You guys take longer to pay off debt so you make more money off those of us that are contracted with you to pay off our debt. I have expressed this, with the same blahs blahs answer. This is the only aspect of this that needs to be relooked at.

Overall we’re happy with FDR as we getting our debt reduced. The only issue we had was they did tell us some creditors are difficult to work with, but their legal department will handle it. Well, that isn’t completely accurate as the legal team wanted us to keep increasing our monthly deposit, & we were told initially we wouldn’t have to. The legal team told us it was because American Express & Discover are difficult. Well FDR knew those were some of our creditors in the beginning, & didn’t tell us that those are hard creditors to work with. It caused us more stress & a lot of time filling out paperwork, getting it notarized. We’re on the right track now since we were given a loan from Consolidation Plus.

I was led to believe through very careful wording by the agent during my initial desperate call that your service would get me out of debt. Okay I gave you two stars. What you failed to make clear except in rushed signed legalese, was that fine print. I made every payment on time, but I still have a JUDGEMENT against me now from Discover Bank and ruined credit for 10 ** YEARS. So thanks for that.

I was trying to find a debt relief program and I talked with several and Debt Relief came at a certain time that I was ready to be involved with a debt consolidation company. The consultant asked about my credit scenario and that they could help me shorten the length of the credit card time, as opposed to paying over 20, 25, 30 years, as I was going through when I started. They kept us posted via email on what’s going on and whenever they have a resolution to one of our creditors.
They told me how much I’ll pay with them over a period of time and they, at all times, said, “This is something you have to make sure that you can handle. And if you can’t, then you need to rethink about it.” They never were negative. They were always realistic. I thought it was difficult because I was so used to credit cards. I still have two, but I have a more limited credit limit. I’m now less dependent on credit cards and more dependent on the cash at hand, which is an extremely good scenario that should be done with more Americans and I’ve already recommended it.

I had received a summons from a credit card company that now put me to a debt collector which is a lawyer. I had called Freedom Debt Relief immediately. I was seeking to consolidate and pay off my credit cards and get them out of short-term. Freedom Debt Relief's advertisements made me choose to work with them. The rep was very knowledgeable and friendly. He didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. Then they worked with me to set up a payment plan. They took into consideration all the other obligations that I had. They asked me about my other debts and where I was with income. I had 4 cards and they said that they are working on reducing the debt. I'm still working on the program, but I’ve gotten rid of one debt and the others are small. Freedom Debt Relief has given me peace of mind that I am getting things under control so I would have more freedom, as far as when I wanna retire, which is my goal. I cancelled my program and was told that I would get all my money back because you didn't do anything but set it up, but I didn't receive all my money back. I was suppose to get 258.00 and I only got back 240.09. I do not like to be lied to. So I will not be recommending you to my friends.

Disappointed with handling of one account so far. It never should've reaches the point of a summons. I notified in plenty of time. It was not the next account settled. Even after I was approved for loan to help settle.

Experienced great customer service and willingness to get me signed up. I didn’t have any late pays for 11 years on my credit and had a great credit score prior to the debt relief program. I really wish I looked into debt consolidation loan. This route means bad credit for seven years now.

I believe it’s too early in my experience with Freedom Debt Relief as my first payment was made on Dec 4 and today is Dec 5 so I haven’t really experienced anything with that. I however am pleased with customer service but am disappointed with your first initial call coming in from my state and you're located in Arizona. People who asks for your help need help, not the high fees you charge. A lot times people who have use you say it takes too long and need help, but have no choice but to pay them. Like to see you lower your fees to really help even if by a 1/2%.

We thank you for your review. We do take a fee, but not until a debt is resolved. The amount of the fee will vary depending on a client’s state of residence, total debt amount, etc. Typically, it ranges from 15% - 25% of total enrolled debt over the course of the program. For example, fees of 21% of enrolled debt in a 42 month program would work to about 6% per year annualized. This offers significant savings over other solutions, especially for those who would otherwise be making payments as agreed to their creditors at the interest rates they have when entering our program. I am quite dissatisfied with the outcome of my creditor accounts being handled by Freedom Debt Relief. I have been with them for 16 months now and they have settled 2 of my creditor accounts. Of which one has been paid off, while another has a settlement agreement in place that will not be paid off until May 2020. One of my creditor accounts brought a lawsuit against me and since I had chosen to pay appx. $12/mo. for a partner with FDR called National Litigation Law Group (NLLG) to represent me in case of legal action taken by one of my creditors registered with FDR. The handling of the negotiations with this creditor was in my opinion not handled with my best interest in mind. In the end, I had to pay more than my balance was with that creditor at the time FDR took over negotiations with my 6 creditors.

However, my husband and I applied for a loan with a reputable bank and was denied due to having too many charge-offs on my records due to Freedom Debt Relief. The only thing that I have found so far is that NLLG had to tell me to remove a account from my that they settled. The of your Reps that talked should have been able to tell me that instead of having to go back and forth between you and NLLG. But so far that has been the only problem.

Given new checking account so I could close old account. New account numbers were forwarded before my deposit... Money was withdrawn from old account putting checking account negative. Contacted customer service. Went through the process changing accounts. Was advised that credit will be issued to the old account. As of today Dec. 2 2018 have not received money in old account. Still putting account negative.

The Law firm that works with them (NLLG) is the worse excuse for a law firm I have ever came across. They (NLL) sent me back a notification that they could not open my document and that I had to resend it a different way. First, I am surprised that they could not open it. Secondly, why did they not follow up with a phone call to alert me that the document needed to be sent a different way? Especially with a time-sensitive document. By the time I found in my Spam, the time to have NLLG represent me had expired.
Now that it has moved into the next phase they are still refusing to take the case, Yet if I go to any lawyer anywhere, anytime...in heartbeat, they would take my case. Now I am facing paying Wells Fargo a lot more money than I even enrolled in their program for (Freedom Debt Relief) instead of a lower amount, it's now even higher because of attorney fees and document filing. I really feel like NLLG should take the case and go back to negotiating a lower amount to pay them. The idea of going to debt consolidation was so that I CAN pay off the card that I owe, however, I need them to forgive some of the balance. I am totally dissatisfied with how this particular case of mine with them has been handled.

The only thing I would change is contacting creditors right away. I received numerous phone calls and certified mail relentlessly. Very stressful. I had to go through my doctor for medications. I wish that could be changed.

I have been laid off at 55 (first time in my life) and did not know how to continue with the debt relief program. The customer service rep (Morris) calmed me down and gave me incredible help in figuring out how to proceed with my quest to become debt-free. I sent an email in mid-November asking that my automatic debit be reduced. I called on the 28th or 29th to see if the debit had been changed. It had not and I was too late to change it. So now I can't pay my car insurance in one payment so I won't get a $100.00 reduction in premium for paying in full and on time. By not reading or doing anything about your email, I just lost $100.00. I think the phone call, which prompted your email, got things straightened out.

I had an up and down experience. It took a year and a half for 2 Capital One accounts. The second one took forever. I was told that I needed to put in more money over my allotted to finish. The next person told me I had enough and it took 3 months. I did lose my rep who had some health issues who I really liked. They do help and I did get them both done.

I could not ask for better treatment from anyone at FDR. However, my NLLG attorney, Jeremy ** was rude, condescending, and basically called me a deadbeat during my first phone call. After stating that he was not going to take the case because he could tell that I would not make the payments and then he would have to take phone calls from my debtor's attorneys, continued to be rude and treat me as if I was a child. Although he handled the legal issues and secured an acceptable settlement, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend FDR as long as NLLG continues to use attorneys such as Jeremy **.
FDR as a company, is only here because people are having financial troubles but want to pay what they owe and not file for bankruptcy. They don't want to be treated disrespectfully and insulted by someone for which they are paying a fee. It may not be a huge fee, but it is the fee which is requested. And, it is very disheartening to be treated so terribly for a service in which we pay. (You can contact NLLG for additional details about my horrible experiences with Jeremy **.) With that being said, I have no problem at all with FDR and its direct employees. FDR and its employees have always been fantastic and completely helpful to me, and I thank you for that.

I am happy with the results so far from negotiations with creditors. I have saved a lot of money so far with negotiations made. I am confused why a creditor keeps contacting me after payments have been received, accepted, and completely resolved. I have explained to them that this account has been resolved. They say ok and apologize for calling yet it continues to happen. Otherwise, no complaints at this time.

I have been with you Freedom and NLG since January this year and things were running smoothly until I was sued by AZFCU. In the 11 months that I've been paying consistently, not once did I get flagged for having an issue with the account number of AZFCU. Now that I am in the middle of this lawsuit, I have been trying to resolve a discrepancy with the account number but Freedom and NLG do not have a good way to communicate with each other than email.
The process has been a nightmare because NLG says that my AZFCU account is not enrolled in the program, I call Freedom and they say it is. I've tried to get information on how to resolve this and even though the client services people are trying to help, it seems that they are constrained to a very limited process that consists of taking notes, sending an email to NLG and that is it. I have to say Tony ** client advocate from Freedom, really went above and beyond to help. I hope this gets resolved because I have done everything possible to address this problem and it would be devastating to me if NLG just drop my case and leaves me without representation when I have to go to court.

A friend used Freedom Debt Relief before and that friend recommended me to them. My interactions with their rep have been very good and they’re always so available and ready to talk me through different things. When someone was suing me, I was able to call FDR, get an action right away, and someone was able to call me right back. I had another experience where creditors were calling me and I was able to give them FDR's number. The creditors spoke to FDR instead of me. So, FDR has been really a blessing. Their overall cost is excellent as well. I pay as I go, I’m able to have a set payment, and manage that payment. I would recommend them and I have started talking to people already. I told them that they need to get into this company and get their debt settled.

I somewhat regret participating in this program. I follow the directions and stop making payments. Late fees accrue and the original debts are increased, usually doubled if not more. Out of three settlements made, two of them did not save me any money at all. They were able to reduce the debt only by the amount accrued from not paying in the first place. At this point, I should've simply filed for bankruptcy, wiped the debts clean and built my credit back up.
