We had some credit cards and we did some stuff around the house. When I was working, everything was fine because my husband got his pay and then I also got one the following week. My doctor retired me on disability back in 2015. So, we went from a pay every week to a pay every other week. And then, I got my pay once a month. And there's at least one, sometimes two weeks out of every month, that there's nothing coming in. We got behind on things and it just got to the point when we just couldn't do it anymore.
I saw Freedom Debt Relief and filled out a thing online on my phone and within a couple seconds, I got a phone call from them. It sounded like the right thing to do. I saw the reviews on Freedom and after I talked to Steve, I was comfortable with it. We kept us from filing bankruptcy. For all those years, I didn't wanna do it. I wouldn't have done anything. That's what we would have to do, and I don't wanna do that. But Steve made me feel comfortable. He was also very understanding. I expressed how nervous I was and he took the time to explain things.
So I had five credit cards and so far, three of them are settled. Freedom negotiates and our interest rates are lowered. They've gotten some taken off. When I also called and talked to the people at Freedom, they took the money out from my dedicated account, stopped the automatic deposit until a certain time in November and then they started them back up again. If I would've needed longer, they said all I have to do is call. They worked with me with that. That was awesome for me because my friend said whenever she ran into any issues or anything that she went through, Freedom didn't care.
The payment plan was also good because it was a certain amount that comes out every month. We decided that we wanted to make sure that it was in the account whenever they took it out. Freedom worked with us and they took it out the day after my husband gets paid. It still equals the same amount every month, but it's just two separate deposits, which works awesome. Rather than taking a big chunk out of your pay once a month, they do half-and-half.
The only thing that I don't like about the process is they don't answer the telephone whenever the creditors are calling. Also, it just seems like it takes forever for the first settlement. That made me nervous. I called them because my phone was ringing like crazy from all these places. But once Freedom answers, things are getting settled quickly. I'm almost halfway getting everything settled. Freedom has impacted our lives in a better way. Right now, we still have that money coming out. Sometimes it's a little more difficult but it's a lot better than what it was. I was a nervous-wreck before but I'm calmer now. I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anybody.

3 accounts have been closed and I think I have 3 or 4 being processed now. I am very pleased with the progress of my account, done in a timely fashion and they stay in constant touch with you every step of the way. So far I am glad I chose Freedom Debt Relief. Overall, the program is good. But, the new format online does not break down the monthly payments for me to review. Or I just do not know where to navigate for that information. The only other item that surprised me was when we signed on with you I was not aware of all the other costs to run this program. You might want to better inform your future clients about costs upfront first.

I have been a client with FDR for a year and half now and suddenly received a summons from one of my creditors. cannot be understated, after being sued by a creditor I was nervous about having to go to court and face have court ordered payments, I called the legal services representing FDR and they not only put my mind at ease they were able to settle the debt for less. Thanks FDR.

I am very happy with the experience with FDR. I had 6 accounts which are not able to pay from my end and account balance became more than 100K. I had big loss in my business and was in very bad situation. FDR helped me to come up with structured settlement and I have closed 3 of the accounts now. Still 3 are pending and I am on the track to close them all by end of this year. I recommend their service to all.

FDR has made it possible to repay all my credit card debt, with ease, and assurance. They negotiate all the erroneous finance/interest/surcharge fees and what you ending up paying back is the principle, more or less. I have recommended this service to others.

I was on a 2-year plan to pay off debt but, the payment was more than I could manage. The agent restructured my program to a 4-year plan so the payment was more manageable. My payment went from $662 per month to $370. This payment amount is more manageable in my budget.

I was definitely satisfied with informative answers to my questions and concerns about the options with this company. As a retired veteran, I am very strategic about the moves I make and my consultant (Ryan **) gave me sense of peace with the options available and the benefits of pursuing the program according to my specific situation. As of this date, Freedom has been very effective with negotiating and resolving the majority of my debt. My only issue has been with the 'sister' company NLLG. They were to negotiate a settlement with my creditor American Express. I was told by NLLG staff that nothing could be done, and AMEX filed a civil court case against me. I personally contacted the legal firm representing AMEX, and negotiated a settlement. Then a few days later, I receive an email from NLLG stating that THEY reached a settlement with AMEX... not impressed.

Helped getting out of debt, would have never recovered on own. Just make the monthly deposit and watch account go from several to only one more and will finish in four years. It is great seeing the balance go down on account each month and to see a light at end of tunnel with debt.

I was explaining to my friend that I was in debt and I had all these bills. He told me to try Freedom Debt Relief. He was in debt as well and I thought that if it worked for him, then it should work for me. About two years out, everything has been good with Freedom. They've been perfect. They have negotiated on my behalf and they have negotiated things that I couldn't have negotiated. They've cut my debt down. Their staff has been very thorough and clear in answering all of my questions. They have all been professional and very knowledgeable about what they're doing. I got excellent service from them. Working with Freedom has taught me to stay out of debt and a lot more on how to save.

Since I just signed up a couple weeks ago, I'm not sure how reliable my assessment can be. Everyone I've spoke with so far has been friendly, supportive, and helpful. Freedom has helped a lot as far as my finances go. At the time I went with them, I was with another company then I left and came to Freedom. Thus far, they've been able to help me negotiate with a lot of my creditors. Their consultants and I do everything by email and all have been helpful and pleasant. I never been satisfied this much ever and with the respect and calmness and patience of Amy ** I now am feeling hopeful again. I never thought there was a chance or hope to get this debt off my back, what a burden it's been, no matter how hard I tried, I'm 64 and disabled, and on fixed income and I finally can do what I needed to do for a very long time, between God and Amy ** now I have hope!!

Too stressful in the first month. Cannot leave a fair assessment. Cannot answer all calls from creditors that I am receiving, Too Stressful!!! I have never gotten calls from creditors and now at least 15 a day. I don't like it and it is causing me a lot of stress.

Ira was awesome. Made me very comfortable with my decision. I was a little worried about trying to do this, however, all my questions have been answered, in a timely manner. Bottom line, it's okay. Yes, you saved me a bunch, but you cost a bunch as well - fees upon fees - everywhere a fee. I can produce a report on the total costs of these fees and am thinking that the grand total will about be what I was supposed to save by using your service. What do you think? Also, them 1099-C's are killing me. How do I process an IRS Form 982? In the 2018 version there is no option for my situation. I owe more than I'm worth. It is my understanding that I qualify for this waiver on that basis. That's my rant for today. Customer service - very good - very polite. The rest - I have questions and issues. Bottom line - it works, but, it is expensive - costly to the consumer cumulatively.

I love that I don't have to hold for more than a minute or 2. Representatives have been very helpful each time I have spoken to them. However, I didn't pick up that there was a fee before settlement but I vaguely remember a quick comment on it. Also, some credit companies will not take change of address if it is only a P.O. Box, or if there is no suite number and complete 9 digit zip code. I'm starting to feel less stress and my anxiety is now much lower.

Overall the customer service is good. Associates are polite and informative. Pretty simple and easy to use client interface. Startup and continued use is effortless. The fees however are a little steep. 25% of the debt I think is too high. Settling for around 50% of the debt, and then tacking on another 25% for fees really only settles the debt for about 75% of original balance. Stretch that out over the 3 or 4 years and I’m not sure it’s worth it. I wish that was explained more upfront before signing up.

I'm very disappointed that my debt with Discover was not negotiated to a lower amount. I also believe FDR should be contacting my creditors to notify them that I am working with the program. It seems FDR is only concerned with collecting their fees. I would never recommend this program to anyone. I was forced to retire because of health issues and had my income drastically reduced, not to mention the loss of medical insurance which has only increased my debt. FDR should be an advocate for me! I probably could have negotiated better settlements on my own. I am also bombarded with phone calls daily. FDR should be contacting these creditors for me considering the fees.

I am very pleased with the progress FDR has made for me thus far. All but one account has been either paid or has been negotiated down and I am making payments. However, I look at what I am being charged on a monthly basis for their assistance and wonder how I am really doing? In the last 30 days I have paid $217 in fees. That is $2,604/year and over, for example, 4 years = $10,416. Sometimes I wonder if I should have just handed over the bigger accounts and tried to do the smaller ones myself. I think FDR could be a little more transparent. I understand they need to make money too, but...

Updated on 04/13/2022: They said I would be debts free in 24-48 months. They kept their promise and now I am nearly debt free. Can’t even put it into words what a relief it is to be be done with all that debt.

I had credit card debt and I was gonna go for bankruptcy but when I looked up the different titles of bankruptcy, one of the sites that I went on sent me straight to Freedom Debt Relief. So I looked them up and they were top of the line so I decided to call them and find out how they could help me. They were to settle with my creditors and I felt really good about the payment plan. I had been paying $900 on only minimum payments on the five creditors that I had put down on the list. But FDR cut it down to $402 so apparently, that was enough to do all the settlements that they were going with for me.
They were also tremendous with me. They basically knew what I needed every time I called them. I would get a new representative every time but I guess they have a database with the names and all of their settlements and loans on there. They knew what was going on by looking at my client info. Some of the people also told me that they were clients of FDR and that they came out on top. So I figured since they were part of the program, I would be really comfortable with that part of it. Working with FDR has impacted my life tremendously. I was in an emotional status that was really bad and really pressured. But they brought me out of that a little bit because I knew that somebody else was taking care of my debt.

After a month of this service I get a generic email advising how to contact my lenders in writing to stop ACH payments from my checking account. When I was told they will negotiate everything. Too late. Now the bank is after me for almost $600. For Insufficient fund's. The equivalent of passing bad checks. In addition to the fee's. In California I can be jailed for this. So this now left me without food, money and not enough to pay my property taxes or my utility bills. I should have just negotiated with my creditors on my own.

I was given so much information I was beginning to get confused. But the representative took his time to explain each and every question I had. It seems to be taking a very long time. They don't contact your accounts until they have so much interest and late fees to make your settlement look much better than it actually is. This is disappointing. It would feel better to me if this wasn't the way it was done. My credit was a 710 and has dropped to the low 500.

So far they have been fantastic! Their separate legal dept was totally uncooperative. Everyone at Freedom I have talked to has been wonderful. They have negotiated settlements for me on my accounts. I wish I would have done this sooner.

I'm generally happy but worry about my credit score in the near future. I will soon be selling my house and be debt free. I want to soon after purchase a different car and apply for another home loan. Not sure what my score will look like.

Since working with Freedom Debt Relief I feel there is a way out of our financial situation. The dashboard is a great tool, but when I call to ask question, there has not been one person who has not gone out of their way to help me, teach me and not make me feel belittled. I have also had to work with NLLG, Lisa **, and that entire experience that could have been bad was handled quickly, communication was excellent and the resolution was far better than expected. In all FDR and NLLG have been far above my expectations and I can't wait till the next structured settlement. I would recommend FDR but would also say, you have to follow the program, keep up your deposits and check the dashboard regularly. FDR gives you all the tools to know your progress, deal with unexpected situations and how to go forward.

Being suffocated by debt is a tremendous burden on a person. I wanted to pay my bills but the interest rate was so high. It got to a point where I'd spend all my money on making my minimum payments and not be able to have $10 to buy gas on my car because it would all be eaten up by interest. By consolidating my accounts though Freedom Debt Relief, it has taken a lot of pressure off my shoulders. It is a great relief to know that my bills are being paid. The reps are totally awesome. If I get an alert or I don’t get an alert and if there’s something I don’t understand, I contact them and they’re on their toes continuously. I talk to them on a weekly basis and they don’t mind, they take the time and they’re courteous. I talk for at least 45 minutes with them. I explained to them how nervous I was at first and how pleasant it is that I have someone that understands. It’s very nice to be able to talk to someone that can make me feel good inside.
The cost is very reasonable considering what I was paying out every month for my cards. It’s a very small fee to pay to have some freedom and now, I have a bit of money in my pocket. The amount that I was paying was cut right in half. I’ve not even been a year yet with the program and at this stage of where my account is at, Freedom Debt Relief is doing a wonderful job. They’re moving really fast to clear up all my debt. They're most helpful and I’m telling all of my friends about it.

I felt like I was "going under" fast. Freedom has changed that and I now know, it might take some time, but it will be ok. The lady that spent time with me at first was absolutely awesome. I feel that my creditors should have been notified of my decision to sign up. I had not ever been late with payments, and I am receiving calls, but they are robot calls. I do not know what I should do.

Just started last month, need to advise how much is need in account before the negotiations will start, other than that everyone very nice and helpful. They rush to get you signed up but then everything goes to a standstill till you build up fund.

This company lied to me and now my credit issues are worse than before. Never use them. They will lie to you to get your business. I was told they will pay my creditors with negotiation. I paid them a monthly amount to which I thought was to be used to pay my creditors. It wasn’t until 2 months later that I found out they never paid anyone. So now I’m really in a hole with everyone. My credit score dropped almost 200 points. I would have never gone with this horrible company had they told me the truth. I plan on filing suit against them for customer fraud.

They have accounts listed that don't exist. Fail to assist in correcting them. Take no action on accounts about to go into collection. When asked to change something they refuse. I've had one judgement placed on credit file without any notice.

Overall I have not been too happy with the way this program works! Until I see the final results, then I will comment more accurately. I have a difficult time not keeping my payments up to date, therefore, until these debts get resolved, I cannot provide a true representation of this; "Debt Relief Program!"

The NLLG has been up & down, this last one (Target) it's been paid, Chelsea ** says we didn't send all the paperwork of the summons but sent all 13 pages! With FDR, needs little more communication!! Have at least 2 other accounts paid off...one from almost 2 years ago. I keep calling and told that one will be updated to paid but that was about 2 weeks ago!! I talked to my brother and he said that we went about it all wrong... Each account was supposed to be fully paid off and then go to the next one. I didn't know that so I inadvertently allowed to settle on couple 48 months. Does that mean when we get the others paid off that they will pay off in higher payments?

First of all I never signed on with FDR. I signed up for this program with Accredited Debt Relief and was told my representative Would be my “go to” person for the entire program. However, whenever I went to go back to discuss anything with him, he was unreachable. So I went over his head to look for one of his superiors and was told that my account was not with them, it was with FDR now. However when you call FDR you get a new person every time and there’s no consistency in the things that you’re told. Also whenever I entered into this venture, I knew that my credit score would take a hit. So I asked my original representative approximately what kind a hit will I be seeing. He said it varies from person to person but usually around 100 points. My credit score dropped 230 points.
FDR has been able to negotiate deals with my three creditors but the percentage rate of each is very different from Deal to deal and different from what I was originally told. Also the last deal with the 3rd creditor has just been sorted out after 2 yrs. Upon trying to discuss my issues with one of their representatives about the % rate of settlements being different from what I was originally told, they completely changed what they said again. When I argued that they were changing what they had already told me they said they weren’t. I offered for them to look up the conversations since they are all recorded - they did not bother to look. Once again I asked, "How come I can’t talk to my original representative" and they told me that I was a FDR client and I corrected them and told them no I was with Accredited Debt Relief. I have ceased to argue with them because I just want to finish the program and hopefully get my credit high enough to buy a bicycle.

Updated on 07/19/2020: Freedom Debt Relief has been so helpful and we have had a fantastic time with them. We've been with them for two years now. We've added accounts to it and they've closed out 15 of the accounts that we've had. We got rid of the credit card debt and a bunch of debt that we had for moving and with different electric companies. They call the creditor up and ask them what they'll settle for, and then they call us and ask if we’re agreeable to that. If we are, that's fantastic. If not, then they try to get them to come down lower. We owed Jared $6,000 and Freedom got it all the way down to 2000.
Freedom looks at your debt and then they will tell you how much they feel you need to pay on it. We have a certain amount that we pay each month and they take a small percentage. We pay $360 a month. But I also had an apartment complex that was just outrageous and I got two dogs. There was nothing in my lease that said that I couldn't have two dogs but they had a hissy fit because I had two Yorkies. We had to break our lease four months early and they said they couldn't help us with that. Even when we did that, we told them that we were going to have to bring our payment down and that was no issue.
Whenever we couldn't make a payment, Freedom would call up and ask what happened. You just need to be honest with them. If you’re honest with them, they’ll work with you. I told them that my son passed and it was unexpected. With the funeral costs and everything else, we were behind on our bills and it was gonna take me a couple of months to catch up. They have been absolutely wonderful during this time with my son passing. They totally understand that life happens and we have no control over it. There's no high pressure about them.
We've had a wonderful experience with Freedom and they're getting all my debt paid off. They paid off a lot more than I could have paid off in two years’ time. You just send your payment in and they'll hold that payment. When you have enough, that's when they'll call a creditor and tell them that they can pay this off. None of the creditors can fault you because you're in debt consolidation. You also don't have to put up with the calls from them anymore. And if anybody calls, they give you the lawyer’s name, his phone number and you refer them to him and he'll take care of it. So for the little bit of money that Freedom takes out, it's worth it ‘cause you're covered.
Original Review: Asked to add a new account for consideration. It was handled in a quick and timely manner. The accounted was added and has a date set for resolution. I would and have recommended this program to family and friends.

Freedom Debt Relief is good to work with, however, they misrepresented their ability to reduce the debt amount. When we began the program, the representative whom sold us on their capabilities stated Freedom would save us between 40 and 50 percent from our enrolled balance. I am now in a position to pay out early, however, their results were a savings of only 12% collectively.
We were able to negotiate outside of Freedom and reduce a couple of debts by 50% and no interest fees. Freedom's fees totaled 33% of the settlement amounts, Hence for example if a settlement were to be $1000.00, another $330.00 would be added for their fees resulting in a $1330.00 payout. In essence, the negotiated reduction ranges in the 40% range, but after you pay their fees, your savings is only 12%. If you have a total debt load of say $50,000.00, you can expect your out of pocket cost to be $44,000.00. In all conversations in which I attempted to nail Freedom down on their fees prior to engaging, they never answered the question, they evaded answering. Good luck!

Very nice and accommodating. Fighting cancer and had to reduce payment to take a scan for cancer doctor. This really helped this month. I have been generally really, really happy with what FDR has done for me in getting me out of debt. But I am frustrated too. It's been about 8 months or so that I was able to pay off the full amount to you... and yet there is a huge credit card debt still not settled. I was happy that (after I called and complained that nothing was happening) that Synchrony was settled... but with all the funds available, I don't see why the last one isn't settled.

FDR did all the work. I was so nervous about my debt. I was paying out so much money trying to pay down my debt, but was losing ground fast. I wasn't trying to avoid paying back what I owed. I just couldn't catch up, let alone get ahead. I had some medical problems (stroke), lost our home and more. I went from a Gold rating down to the lowest rating. This took place over several years. FDR dealt with my creditors, when I was contacted by these creditors I referred them to FDR and they worked with them for me. It was very exciting to watch my debt decrease so quickly, knowing that my bills were being paid back without the outrageous interest rates.

Freedom Debt and NLLG have done nothing but right and good for me. A creditor opted to take me to court without negotiation. But thanks to this program FDR and NLLG settled the debt lighting quick for 62% of the total bill, no extra money needed from me and no court.

I was very satisfied with the negotiation with Citibank. But, the negotiation through your legal Dept. was not the best for me. To me they did not do a good job. I Think they could have done a better negotiation, and try to lower it, since I had two accounts, and paid off one to demonstrate that I am willing to get out of debt as soon as possible.

To be truthful, Ms. Morales, legal firms are generally more challenging to negotiate with. Settlement percentages with legal firms are often not as appealing as the settlements obtained with 3rd party collectors. Often times, these accounts will have legal fees associated with them; creating a higher balance to negotiate and settle. We hope this explanation brings some clarity to the situation. So far we are very pleased with the results of our credit cards being handled. We have had an actual live person handle our debt and I really enjoy this. We don't have to worry about remembering to pay our debts because we also have the benefit of automatic draft for our account.

I have been trying to get the last debt cleared for the last 2 years. Bank fees come out but nothing has happened. 2 years ago I was told to stop paying. I did. 2 months ago I was told to start making $20 dollar payments to keep active. 1 week ago I was given US Bank phone number to call myself to see if I could work a deal with them. And if I could work a deal to call back and let you all know and then you would set up payments. So…what am I paying you for?

Program works but my only concern is that after you sign up there is no personal attention. If you have a question no one response with an answer. I have sent several request about removing a debt but no one ever responded.

I'm content with everything with the exception of harassing phone calls from a "Scott." He evidently has not read my file that I work 2nd shift, getting off @4am, so sleeping mostly ALL day! Bc of this, there is a Ms ** whom is on file, can speak on my behalf, which was set-up in the beginning! This "Scott" leaves messages like I'm ducking him, when this is not the case.

I am hoping it all works out and I am done in 4 yrs. I will be better able to rate this when the whole thing is complete. Currently it seems to be doing good. After the charges for the program, the savings are not as much as I thought it would be. I hope my credit score will improve after this program.

I am completely confused about this process so far, I know I owe $274.00 a month, but I do not know when the bills will start to be paid. I think I understood that a whole bunch of money has to be paid into the account before the bills are to start to be paid. I think I understood 1/4 of the bill had to be paid, if that is so, how do I handle the bill collectors when they start harassing me about not being paid.

I wanted to relieve some debt after my husband’s car accident and from what I got in my research, Freedom Debt Relief had a good reputation. Their rep is knowledgeable and professional. When I first signed up he was very patient in explaining things because it can easily get very confusing. And as we worked through it, every time I had a question, I called in, and everyone I spoke to was very gracious and able to answer my questions or had someone helped me walked through it. Handling debt is never an easy process but FDR made it very dealable.
As the debts changed hands, it took some time. I would get a response from my phone because it would send to my email or text message when a debt was received. But it wasn’t very quick follow-up on the text part because when I’m at work, I can’t always look at my email. So, maybe a quick response on the text alerts would be helpful. But other than that, everything is very good. The payment plan was reasonable. FDR helped to give me a chance to breathe a little bit.

I was disappointed to find out a bunch of stuff that wasn't disclosed to me in the beginning and throughout the process. For example I wasn't told there is a monthly fee for a bank account they set up that comes out of the money that's supposed to go towards the bills. They told me they don't charge any fees and everything is built into the monthly amount. I also wasn't told that they don't negotiate anything until money is built up in the account. Whatever that means. So basically we can't make any payments so everything will go into a charge off status making everything worse instead of negotiating a settlement amount and then me sending money towards the goal amount.
Right now I have no idea what my amount will be just an estimate. Not to mention my rep who was calling and texting me five or six times a day before I signed the agreement I can't get a hold of now after signing to save my life. They had 3 or 4 different people asking for the same information and my social and it made me extremely uncomfortable. Everything felt rushed. Not very good customer service. I would not recommend this service currently as of right now based off of what's happened.

I have been so pleased with Freedom Debt Relief. They have kept in constant contact, have relieved much of my anxiety and have been excellent with keeping on top of my debt. When I came to them I had already been with two other companies that were horrendous - took my money and never paid my debt. They do a great job of getting settlements at minimum 40% off the original debt. I did not realize the amount that would be charged to me for negotiating the debts. So the debts are decreased by 50% but they charge a 20-25% fee. My debt is still reduced significantly but with fees (payment fees, negotiation fee) I save 25- 35% off my enrolled debt. That is why I have a 4 and not a 5!!!

I signed up with FDR Oct. 2017 and decided to put in combined 5 accounts total. Paying a total of $622.00 per month over the course of the time which totals to $8,708. Between Oct. 2017 and April 2018 I had NO results. I was extremely stressed out as I kept getting calls from collections on a daily basis. April 20 - FDR offered one settlement which they paid in 3 payments 4/20/18 - $2402; 5/18/18 - $447; 6/14/18 - $1341 not sure why it was broken down in that way nor was it explained to me.
Around May timeframe FDR offered me a deal thru Consolidation Plus. The Salesperson I spoke with explained to me how the program was a better fit for my situation. He said, "Basically we are lending you the money and you pay us back just how you've been doing. Because you have automatic draft and have been paying consistently on your FDR you are automatically approved."
I thought it was a great deal at the time. He sent an estimate contract which was e-signed. Over the course of the time I was still receiving calls from collections for the accounts. I called FDR and Consolidation plus several times. Then AMEX sued, so we had to go thru that stress of lawyer, etc. from May - July. Amex finally settled July 2018. The other accounts were paid June 25 and August 27th.
I never received an amendment contract to on the Consolidation Loan C+ thereafter. I tried to login the FDR website but it only showed account of payment no breakdown or anything such on where money I've been paying for past year had gone. Then I received an alert on my credit report stating I had a new Loan - surprise surprise it was consolidation Plus. To my surprise I still was not able to log in the website so I tried and failed with multiple attempts to try to email and call both FDR and consolidation plus loan.
I finally did get access to the portal on Jan 17th to see the balance of loan to be $23,718 plus 22.90% interest rate and maturity date of 5/29/2024 + settlement fees - $2,295; $610; $994; $1789; $2382. With the interest rates and the settlement fees I would end up paying almost double of what I originally owed on my accounts.
I CALLED consolidation plus and the CSR told me that there was nothing wrong on my Loan and that is what I had agreed and signed per contract. I asked her to pull my contract where it states the loan maturity to be 2022 NOT 2024. She then said that my contract was estimate... I gave her the definition of the word "estimate" which was not two more year on loan for additional $15K. She told me she had to look into it. Later that day I got a call by a lady from the Concerns dept (Resolve). I was not able to answer at the time but the voicemail said, "I am currently working on the loan and will get back as soon as I have an update". Since I did not hear back I called on 1/28/19 - the lady from the concerns dept admitted that the loan was not accurate and there were issues she had to fix. She called it "system issues". She said she was working on adjustments.
I spoke to her again on 1/29/19 and she gave me a breakdown of the loan the way she said made sense to her but was not able to articulate or give me answers on some of the questions I had regarding the $ on loan. She also said she had fixed the error of the year on the website. I advised her that I was not comfortable in the way the whole process had occurred and that I was not certain the numbers she had matched. She still was not able to tell me how she got the numbers and how I still owed the money allegedly owed.
To date the date in the website is still incorrectly reflecting. I still don't have a clear idea what where my money went and what I owe. My accounts so called settled are still reflecting in "COLLECTION STATUS" ON MY CREDIT REPORT. I gave FDR and Freedom Opportunity to settle but have not yet received a response and I think the best approach now is to contact my state general attorney.

Since I'm on automatic payments, my account is on cruise control. As long as I pay Freedom, they do their part of the agreement, and I'm not hassled by creditors. I haven't ever had to talk to any of my 5 creditors.

I didn't realize how many fees are being added to when an account is reached settlement. Along with monthly fees seems like the account is at a snail's pace. I haven't heard from anybody about how I am doing as a customer. Should be more personal because people struggle. And sometimes get into bad situations and need support.

DON'T DO IT! We have been in the program and paid over 17,000 and they keep moving the "graduation" date! It was supposed to take us 3 years and we are in year 2 and aren't any further ahead! We have to file bankruptcy 13 and could have had 2 years under us by now and it is Federally regulated!

This company is very misleading. I feel this company intentionally let accounts get bigger, I believe Simply to gain more profit. After pleading with them to contact me several times and reaching out several times I just got the runaround. I end up resolving 90% of all my accounts myself and save thousands. My wife and I are now seriously thinking about legal action. If anyone would like to hear factual accounts and or have any questions. Please feel free to call me regarding this matter.
