I am very happy with my settlements from FDR. However, it seems that every time a new settlement is reached, I am further and further away from graduation. That is frustrating but I guess it is all a process. Other than the long wait to finish, the results have been satisfactory for me. Thank you!

I think it is going well. We have settled a couple of cards with some to go. My only negative and it can't be helped is my credit score is now less than 500 and we were considering buying a house but can't get a mortgage due to my credit score. So we will wait a couple of years.

I don’t like the way nothing happens until monies are put into account. They haven’t been in touch with any creditors yet. Haven’t seen anything happen as of this time. Not sure about how to work dashboard and why it’s my job to approve.

The people I talked to were friendly and understanding. I trusted Freedom Debt Relief. I didn’t hear anything bad about the company so I tried it to see how it works. I feel good working with them. I had a problem with one of their reps but they already fixed the problem. Freedom Debt Relief impacted my life because at first, my credit was bad but now, my credit is back on track. My payment plan is fine for now but I hope they don't go higher.

I did some research on FDR and found that they have a good reputation. With them I paid off my credit cards on a four-year period. During the first three years, everything went very well. They were very professional and competent. But the last year was terrible. I got some misinformation from at least two different people. They were inept and it caused me to be in the program for an additional year. They did not know what they were doing. One person that I contacted told me she would take immediate action, and to call her back in two weeks for the results. I tried numerous times to get a hold of her. She would never take my calls. It was indicative of what I went through for the last year.
I paid money upfront. I contacted them and asked how much money did they need to pay off all the accounts and there were only two remaining of the original five. They paid off one of them, and they didn't pay off the fifth one. So I contacted them numerous times. I said, "Why haven't you paid this off and closed out my account?" I've got different and wrong answers. Each time I would call I'd get a different person. And some of them acted like they just didn't really care. It was just a shame. It was almost like they changed all of their personnel. It was a totally different experience from what it had been for the first three years, which was exceptional. In fact, at one point, I left them a raving review online, very positive review. I would not give them that today. But overall the program did what they told me it would do.

Although I always made my payments and most times even more, I hated that my balances never seemed to get smaller. I was also thinking about retirement in a few years. I decided I needed help! Updated on 8/24/2020: When I tried contacting my rep he never returned my call. When I called someone else they had a hard time finding my account. I never spoke to anyone after that. I just don't like going around and around. I was able to get on the dashboard but got confused. Truthfully at first I was sad for not having my credit cards but was then happy to get rid of the bills.
Original review: I only gave 4 stars because I have only signed up so far. I am happy with everyone I spoke to and I am excited for this to help with my credit card bills. I can't wait until my cards are paid off so I can get out from under the interest charged.

First off I was not represented by the people that FDR said would represent me so I pay money for what. 2nd I can never get an answer on anything. 3rd I get a form in the mail from FDR and they tell me they need to see it. Well if you sent it shouldn't you know what's going on! Can't wait to be out of this program!

I have been in the program for a little over a year making my monthly deposits. FDR settled 2 accounts and is persistent on settling a large account while I have smaller ones that can be taken care of very easily but they tell you the so called professional negotiators know how to interact with certain companies. My opinion is that they insist on the largest account because they get much more money. They also tend to not always be truthful about contacting creditors, they say they did and I did some research on my own to find out that they have not even made any contact since I enrolled with them. For the most part the customer service is very pleasant although some when you ask questions they become very offensive. If you can negotiate your debt on your own I would recommend doing this because you can get the same deal if not better than them and you save money on all the fees.
Mr. Foley, we only make contact with your creditors at the time we begin our negotiations. In the meantime, we're waiting for funds to build up to be able to negotiate with your creditors. We do not contact all your creditors at the same time as there are not enough funds to be able to negotiate all at the same time. The way the creditors will know that you are enrolled in the program is by you changing your contact information to ours and that will direct the creditors to contact us. Our program really does work and has helped many become debt free with the benefits of a reduction to their debt within a short period of time.

I called customer service numerous times. This changing password still can not log on to dashboard to check my activity. You get your payment biweekly with no problem. So why can't I log on to my account? This has been going on for years. I will continue to pay my debt untill Sept 2019 and I should graduate. And I will stop all payments.

I'm just beginning with debt relief. It saved me hundreds of dollars this month already. This is a really big help because I have several large bills this month. So far so good. Very helpful. Just wish they would be able to contact in EST. SEEMS LIKE everyone likes to do work in AM PST. I’m a Morning person and they usually don’t get anything back to you until it’s later in the day EST. They do get back to you when they say so and are always very helpful especially because I am not technically savvy and they take their time in helping me with anything I have to do to get answers back to them.

I have phoned Upright Law to have $1.910 returned to me. I called several times. They said I have to wait 45 business days. I still have not received my money back. I asked Jason ** to phone. He did. No satisfaction. Too many people and companies to contact. I thought this was a straight loan through Freedom Dept Relief. I need my money back ASAP. I will run out of cash by next month after I pay this month's bills.

I am a veteran and the VA sends out things for veterans. And within that email, they sent out information about Freedom Debt Relief. I contacted them and I had great results. My experience with Freedom Debt Relief has been excellent. They negotiated with the creditors. Some of my creditors raised the annual percentage rate and I was going nowhere with the debts. So, Freedom Debt Relief stepped in and they negotiated a lower portion of the settlement, and everything has been good since.
Their consultant was very helpful. I spoke to him several times before I decided to join the program. There was a customer portal for any questions that I had. I had several questions throughout the process and I put the question in the customer service portal, and within 24 hours, they responded back with the answer. I was happy with the answers that they provided. They were very timely and their information was accurate. The payment plan that they set me up with worked out great. I paid a bit more to round it off to an even more, but on the second of each month, they automatically took it out of my account and I was comfortable with the payment that they had initially provided. I added a bit more to make it an even dollar amount.
It has been a lot of stress relieved since working with Freedom. Initially, it was stressful because I didn’t really know what I was about to get into. I've heard a lot of horror stories that it doesn’t work, that you owe more, and that they are just out to get your money. I had one credit card I had for 24 years and I called and asked them to reduce the rate that was 26%, but they would not budge. Freedom Debt Relief was able to step in and negotiate a settlement offer with all of the credit cards. And now, there is a firm date that everything is gonna be paid off. I would have been paying that into my 90s if I would have paid the interest. It seemed like 90% of my payment was going to the interest and only reducing my debt by a very small portion. I tried myself for years but got nowhere. I decided one day to give this a shot and it worked out very well.

Overall good experience. Not happy with having to increase my deposit after being in the program for about 12 months. Legal representation is excellent so far. Once they are informed of a covered situation they do their very best to handle it. I don’t understand why the negotiation fee is taken out before payments are made to the creditors.

The only downside to this is that your credit score does take a hit! The upside it helps get you straight! They need to allow you to take your payment back down to your original payment! I raised my without the knowledge of being able to put it back?

I am working to get debt cleared. I currently have three in settlement and have settled several on my own. I really don't have 40 words to write because I am not over pleased with the process. I would love to get out and I am working toward early graduation so that I can learn from this experience. Before I signed up the contract I got 100% on time after I pay on time always to your company, but your program made all my accounts last due. My credit score drop from 700 to 475. And my credit line for current credit card was decreased almost on 12000 dollars. That was rediculous.

They get our mail and phone calls from the companies your in debt with and decide it’s time to send me my send 1099-C forms in April 2 weeks before tax deadline. I messaged them 2 weeks info February requesting if they’ve received any of my tax forms. They replied “no” so I proceeded to file my taxes, which I now have to amend due to incompetence. They take hundreds to thousands out of bank for their share for settling my debt so by the time they finish sticking their fingers in my account I’m not accumulating such great savings that is seems. I’ve also had more than one customer service representative get attitudes when I’ve tried requesting their help/assistance. If I knew then what I know, I would’ve never chosen to go forth with doing business with Freedom Debt Relief.

I need dated information regarding a recent 1099 sent to me by you regarding discharge of debt from Barclays Bank in 2017. Was not seen, and did not reach my mailbox until 4/4/19. Documentation that you sent, including 1099 processed and forwarded from Barclays has no date, post date, post mark, etc. Letter you wrote and sent with it has no date, post date, post mark, etc. Neither does the envelope you sent it in as you used PRST. As 1099s are to be processed by the end of January, I want you to send written proof of when you received it from Barclays and when you postmarked to me, Please!! Your staff is always very nice and professional but I really need this information.

If I had to do it all over again I would choose bankruptcy over this method of debt settlement, hands down. Freedom Debt Relief promised I would be out of debt in four years, now they've extended that to six. It took forever for creditors to stop calling me, whereas bankruptcy would have settled that problem almost immediately. They also claim that if your creditors file a 1099-C form with the IRS, asking you to pay tax on the unsettled debt you'll be able to offset it. According to my tax consultant (a certified CPA), I'd literally have to be living in a cardboard box to qualify for this. In the end Freedom Debt Relief, and its exorbitant fees will end up costing me the entire amount I owed in the first place, minus some of the interest. And it destroyed my credit, the same at bankruptcy would have. In my opinion there are much better (and way cheaper) alternatives out there.

To be honest there are times I am very satisfied and there are times I am not. I was told from the start that I would make 2 payments to a designated account (which is fee'd). To stop making payments on all my unsecured debt that I had made known at the time. So I followed the plan, have not missed a payment, tried my hardest to keep to the plan. Only to be sued twice. I do realize the debt was mine, and my responsibility. However I think by not making the payments monthly just made the debt build.
What started out $31,000 worth of debt has probably now doubled and as it is reconciled or worked through you all it may get lowered by at times 50% but that is bringing it back down to what it was prior to me stopping the payments a year and a half ago. Making it look like so much money was saved. Just to send me 1099C Tax forms well after I did my taxes. I now have to figure out how to reconcile that so I can pay taxes on what I really did not save money on cause it was just fees for not paying my monthly payments timely in the first place.
I am hopeful after this experience is done to have no unsecure debt, but at the same time I am hoping to have some credit left. Now that I have been sued I am truly scared and afraid I made the wrong decision. What else is going to come since I am only halfway done, if even halfway done. I do wish I knew then what I know now, being sued is not where I wanted to be, that will stay on my record forever. Another question I have is why did it take 2 months to send me 1099C forms? I waited to do my taxes, thinking I might get some, however after getting thru February I figured I was in the clear. But now that I am in April Freedom Debt is sending the form in my direction. How long were these forms being held? I thought all tax forms needed to be sent by the end of January.

Understandably, receiving a legal summons regarding an enrolled balance can be quite frustrating; especially for someone in which it has happened multiple times. Unfortunately, the simple fact is some creditors are more aggressive than others. We've learned, over the years, which creditors to expect this type of behavior from. That is why we've partnered with the National Litigation Law Group. Since FDR is not a legal entity, our partners at NLLG represent our clients who are dealing with legal actions from a creditor.
We ask that you consider the following, Ms. Magrecke. Although the creditor(s) chose to act aggressively in their collection efforts, we were still able to construct a plan that satisfies the creditor and prevents any further legal actions from taking place. The debt is now behind you and our negotiators can focus on settling the remaining enrolled balances. Also, consider all of the interest and potential fees that you would have still been paying to the creditor had you not enrolled the balance into our program.
Please know our negotiators always have our clients' best interest in mind and work extremely hard to obtain the very best settlements possible. In most cases, we are able to obtain favorable settlements. We commend you, however, for not allowing this frustrating situation to deter you from your path to becoming debt free. I could not be happier with FDR!! They worked quickly and was able to save me thousands of dollars on my credit card debt. At first, I was reluctant in applying for a debt relief. I called an agent in Freedom Debt Relief, I feel convince that there's a big savings and also shorten my term of indebtedness. I just deposited the amount required into my FDR account and gave me an enlightenment about trying to fit my budget and expenses. I plan to increase my minimum deposit to make my pay-off earlier. I like to recommend this to others.

I don't understand, sometimes I get emails from creditors that are offering discounts on my bills and I forward them to Freedom and you guys don't contact them or something because I keep getting them over and over. Other than that I've been very happy with my experience with Freedom.

I was drowning in debt and got to the point where I couldn't keep up with the minimum payments. I started looking for help and Freedom Debt Relief. I was very skeptical and didn't know if I made the right decision. After being with FDR for 2 years, I can tell you it really works. I had 5 credit cards that were maxed out. At first this program was helpful in paying off my debt. But on my last settlement I feel like I just keep getting the runaround from FDR. I noticed they tried to pay off my last account and the payment was rejected. I called for months and the FDR customer service rep would always say they would escalate my case to find out what the hold up is. In the meantime I get charged monthly fees and fees every time they try to make a payment and it fails. After no good answer from FDR I contacted the creditor myself and found out they were waiting for a form to be returned to them from FDR. I contacted FDR and told them this and was placed on hold for about 30 seconds then miraculously my account had been settled and I would get a graduation notification within 48hrs.
2 weeks later, nothing and they are still debiting my checking account. So I reached out to FDR customer service today and was told there's a computer glitch that has not flagged my account to show paid in full/graduated. And again, the rep said he would escalate my account to the proper department and get it all worked out. So in 48hrs I will again be checking in with FDR but at this point I regret ever signing up with them.

Freedom Debt Relief and their sister company Consolidation Plus charge interest rates as high as 22.90% (and possibly more). From experience - There is NO benefit to using this organization. Simply put they are a loan shark company that transfers the interest you would pay to creditors into their own account. On top of this you are liable for tax on the cancelled debt!!! My advice - based on our experiences - is to avoid this usurer like the plague. Deal with your creditors direct. There needs to be federal legislation to outlaw these sharks.

I am satisfied with the progress made in reduction of my Debt. However there was one instance when I felt my best interest was not the most important thing as the company told me they were pursuing a better group solution. I ended up being sued, a very traumatizing time.

I was not getting ahead in my bills, and the companies that I dealt with would not work with me. I decided to get relief from an outside source in order to get my affairs in order prior to getting ready for retirement and went to Freedom Debt Relief. I wish the companies would have settled without me having to use these services, but thankfully, the services are there for me to utilize. I also wish they wouldn’t charge the full rate when you're using a debt resolution company like Freedom Debt. They should negotiate down because if I was having problems then, I'm still having problems.
I also wish that if you do go to court, then you don’t do the court costs. That’s the only negative I gather that the creditors want court costs. I'm being penalized for trying to actually do good and work with them or try to get it taken care of. And so, I do not recommend any of my creditors to anybody. Freedom Debt provided me with just the consolidation of everything, and also the lawyers that I have available to me. Through their program I can have lawyers in case I get sued. So, I have that with my whole monthly payment stuff.
I was pretty comfortable with the consultant. They went through the process with me. Instead of dropping the interest rate and all the stuff, the interest rates need to accrue. It should be at the time that you tell them that you're in trouble that the interest stop and you try to work it out so you're making payments and it works out for both parties instead of continually just for the people who are trying to do better. I recommend FDR. They're very thorough. They explained everything. They help you so that you understand the process and give you long-term and short-term scenarios. I am a year in the program and have two more years left, depending upon how fast I continue to get things work down.

I chose Freedom Debt Relief because they were upfront with me from the start and did not expect any money from me. I contacted two other companies and they both want me to pay a certain amount to them prior to paying off my creditors. It was ridiculous so when I called FDR I was expecting the same deal but that's not what I got. They are actually a company that wants to help first. Not only do they handle everything for you but they are also helpful in reminding you of a missed payment and work with you to fix the issue. The people I have spoken with are very friendly and nice as well. I can't talk on the phone when I am at work so they text me most of the time and I really like that. I highly recommend them and am very happy with the way they do business.

I'm very disappointed someone didn't warn me about this not being an easy card to make a deal with til after the fact & sued. Atty even told me I should have told, feel like I'm being double hit on fees.

I was glad to have a good phone experience with a friendly, professional agent who spoke with me about my continued concerns about being in this program and hanging in there until the first settlement is complete. Even though I am in debt with the amount I have to pay down, I realize I'm the one who put myself in this situation. There are other circumstances that play a role in this, but I am still trying to do the best that I can to have this large amount of debt removed. I would like to make this review as honest and as accurate as possible. I have started contemplating the Idea if I should Leave the program and file for Chapter 13. When I got into the program, I had 54 K credit card debt and 28 K unsecured personal loan debt. FDR have me a number that I can manage each month. I had no room for medical expenses and House repairs or Car repairs that are unexpected. It is not their fault and they wanted to help me.
The Good Part: They settled 2 debts in a year. 20% is their flat fee. They negotiated Amex for 70% and BOFA for 50%. Bad Part: I do not want to blame FDR for this. I am calling it bad because I overlooked or was not guided by them properly. I received 2 1099-C one for 3500 and another for 6500 from BOFA and AMEX. This is I won't be getting back anything from IRS and I will be paying them 3K or so. Neutral Part: I got sued by 2 Creditors but NLLG took good care of it and negotiated.
I am thinking about Chapter 13 now because I may avoid the IRS part and now if I file for chapter 13 some part of the debt may get written off. FDR told me to file form 982 but I spoke to two Tax companies and both say that is not legal unless we filed for bankruptcy. I wish FDR did not promise about this Insolvency/Form 982 when it was not applicable.

This program makes sure they are paid first and foremost while they allow your debts to incur more fees and lead to creditors pursuing litigation. “Strategic Holds” and “Advanced Negotiation” do nothing. Do not fall for the claims of legal help. Once you get notice of being sued they request the paperwork and more money from you to do any type of legal action on your behalf. Then, you get an email from them about your options being to pay more into your Freedom Debt account to satisfy the creditor who filed the lawsuit, no real negotiation happens to reduce the amount, either pay 50% or the amount in full, because that’s less work for them, or borrow money from a friend or family, or pay them like a regular attorney with all the fees and court costs to basically file an answer with the court and when that happens you will still have to pay that creditor either in full or some other percentage of the debt.
Meanwhile the other creditors are preparing the next lawsuit you will receive because they DO NOT communicate with your creditors because you don’t have enough money built up in your “account” to negotiate anything unless you increase your deposit. And they only pay one at a time and it’s the highest debt so that it takes all the money plus their monthly “settlement” fee on top of the over three thousand they promptly take from your account as soon as it reaches that amount and depletes your account so that there is little to nothing left to work with. Please do not be fooled. This program is a terrible idea. We had a few credit cards and a personal loan, approximately thirty thousand in debt and it has created a worse situation. We lost the money we paid into their program. If this can help someone avoid making the same mistake then maybe it will alleviate some of the sting of regret.
Our responses are not meant to be 'canned.' We are simply trying to clarify any misunderstandings about how our program works. There were some things mentioned that are simply untrue. FDR does not benefit from keeping our clients in debt. In fact, we do not use any of the tactics that were mentioned. Please don't mistake us for other companies that may take advantage of people who are struggling. Our program is designed to help you resolve your debt, period! We don't promise easy fixes. Our program requires commitment on the part of the client and it doesn't happen overnight. But it works. We make our money by charging fees on the negotiation services we provide; negotiations that can cut the amount clients owe to their creditors dramatically. We don't make money the longer our clients are in debt. We make money when we get them a reduction on what they owe, so we are always working in their best interests.

I am disappointed that my discover Liam was negotiated for 70% of the enrolled balance and with Freedom’s fees I only saved 800 on a 10000 debt. Hardly seems worth the hit to my credit. I am strongly reconsidering staying enrolled in this program.

So far, I have been pleased with my progress. I had quite a bit of creditors and FDR has been successful with negotiating almost all of the debt owed. If you can handle the monthly payments and learn how to ignore the aggressive debt collectors, then I highly recommend FDR. They will honestly negotiate for you and give you a good rate. I really have no qualms with FDR. They have been really great. They answer questions and concerns and are a calming entity. The Attorneys they refer you to SUCK, SUCK, SUCK to the max. No honest veterans there, no disabled to keep them above board. They SUCK, SUCK, SUCK AND THEN SCREW YOU. I am disabled and forgot that I had received papers and was late 2 days for their 2 day cut off for notifications. 30 days to respond and they reneged over 48 hours. FDR is great but the attorneys they refer you to are worthless.

I was sued by Citibank and NLLG would not help. Your company wanted 1120 dollars to talk for me so I had to settle the payment plan myself. Now I have pay more money out per month than I was paying before I joined your program.

Updated on 02/23/2022: We are about half way through our debt reduction and and it has been just as promised. We have a ways to go but expect no surprises on this half. I am disabled and on a very limited income, and, in my past, every single dollar that I could put towards my personal lifestyle, instead of putting it towards more responsible things, I always made the wrong choice! Because of that, I needed to contact FDR in 2017, I put five cards in the program and two have already been settled. Because I am disabled, I only get a raise, maybe, once a year, and, what it came down to, for me, was, do you want to continue to be an idiot, and dig the hole a little deeper,or, cut back on some things that you really don't need, increase my monthly deposit and trust that FDR is going to do what they said that they were going to do? And, to be honest, I trust FDR, more than I trust myself.
It has been a real learning experience, as well as, a process! I am very happy with all of the decisions that I have made from 2017 forward. There comes a point in time where you, or at least I, have to start making financial decisions based on want versus need. I am making progress in all areas of my life and I have Freedom Debt Relief to thank for that...

First settlement, although was disputed and needed to go through the attorney, has finally been completed. I feel relieved that this portion is done with a difficult creditor. Freedom Debt Relief and the Attorney advised that this creditor would be difficult so I knew to not expect anything spectacular. It is nice to know that Freedom has it in hand.

I'm in the process of getting two creditors paid off. It takes patience but I'm given updates periodically by FDR while they negotiate with my creditors. Sure, it gets to be nervewracking because you wait for results. The word PATIENCE is the answer. This is the first time I've done this and calls from creditors have to be anticipated. I just have to wait. It takes time but I'm hanging in there.

My husband has been disabled since 2005 as he has had 14 back surgeries and is a chronic pain patient. March 23, 2016 he had triple bypass surgery with lung complications. 2 weeks later, after coming home from the hospital, I knew I had to do something about our debt. Originally, I was very relieved. Thinking we would be paying off our credit card debt in a shorter amount of time. We were going from $1100.00 a month in payments to $550.00. This allowed us to quit having to charge groceries, medications, and necessities. The monthly fees and percentage they took when accounts were settled seemed a bit high. We also knew we would have to pay taxes on the forgiven debt.
In the beginning, we were told it would take us 4 years to pay off the debt. That sounded great. About a year in, we were contacted by C+ Lending, their sister company. If we went thru them, our debt would be paid off even sooner. Then we would pay C+ Lending. Their payment was going to be way too high, so we declined. We had to use the legal service once, and it was a 5 star experience. Probably, the end of Oct. or the beginning of Nov. I received an email from C+ Lending again. When I would log into our FDR account, the first thing I would see is that we could pay off our debt sooner with a C+ Lending loan. FDR was recommending us to do this, so maybe it will be a good move for us and our credit score. I returned C+ Lending's email.
After that came the aggressive sales pitch, of which at the time, I did not see it as that. I still thought FDR would not have recommended them if it was not in our best interest.. It took almost until the end of Nov. for everything to be ready for signing. I thought I was asking the right questions. 22% interest rate was really high, but the delinquent debt would be paid off. I knew we still would owe C+. It was a very hectic and busy time at work, Christmas was just around the corner, and I just wanted to do what was best for my husband and I. The C+ man was very aggressively pushing us. He and my husband even had some raised voices on the phone. So, me being stupid, and thinking FDR would not steer us wrong with their sister company C+ Lending, I gave in and had us sign.
Guess what, they resolved an account right away. Okay, I made the right choice. We will be paying them off in no time. Wrong, here it is almost April, and we have 2 accounts left in negotiation. FDR has charged us their monthly fees, and 20% of the total account balance for negotiating the accounts, plus C+ is accruing interest on the amounts they have paid off. I had printed off the signed paperwork at the time, but I had not looked closely at it, until about a week ago as I am wondering why are they not settling these last two as quickly. Knowing C+ is accruing interest on accounts they have helped pay off, as we are still paying our monthly payment of $550.00 to FDR, I wanted to see if I may have missed something else.
The documents stated it would take us 41 payments to C+ to pay them off. If we had stayed with FDR it would have been 30. "30" I thought, well of course, it is ALL just a predatory game. FDR gets thousands of dollars off of their clients, then they recommend their "sister" company, and stupid people like me, sign with the sister company C+ Lending, because it will be so much more beneficial going that route, and they make even more money off of you. After realizing this, way way too late, I contacted customer service with FDR. They said there was nothing they could do because we had signed. In the almost 30 years my husband and I have been married, we have made some bad credit card decisions.
We have also had to use credit cards just to make ends meet, due to medical bills and medicine. It is our debt to pay. I just think it is very sad that a company you are working with and paying for would lead you into acquiring more debt. We are where we are and will have to pay the high interest rate until the transferred debt is paid off, whenever that is going to happen. I have a "The Children's Place" credit card because of the 4 grandchildren we have. It gets paid off every month when and if I use it. We have learned our lesson and are still learning to pretty much trust no one. When I reviewed Freedom Debt Relief, they seemed like they were an easy company to work with and understanding. Then when I spoke with them, it turned out they really were. The sign up process was easier than I expected. They didn't make you feel bad, or they didn't make you feel like you kind of were a loser because you couldn't pay your bills. It impressed that whether it was email or a personal call, they would keep me up to date on what was going on when they came in with settlement offers.
The payment could have been lower. But I also understood that with the debt that we had, that was pretty much what we would need. They also advised us that we could keep some of the debt off. But the problem being if we did that, those people were gonna still harass us, and it would probably end up costing us more money in the long run. Freedom Debt Relief has done us right. We are almost to the point where we are gonna be graduating here in the next year. We feel like there’s been a big weight lifted off our shoulders and that we can breathe again. We are still paying some medical bills from when we had cancer. The medications is expensive, and the treatment in itself is very expensive even with insurance. But since working with Freedom Debt Relief, we now have some funds to be able to work with and do things with instead of feeling like every doctor that came in had to go out.

All so helpful. Took the fear and uncertainty away. Was unable to keep up with the interest rates and would have taken many years to pay off. All was explained thoroughly and easy to understand. So far my debt is being reduced but the fees they charge are excessive as far as I’m concerned. I should of read the fine print closer. Everyone there has been extremely kind and helpful. No complaints there. Just the fees are outrageous. I could of had my debt paid off in half the time.

For example, fees of 21% of enrolled debt in a 42 month program would work to about 6% per year annualized. Additionally, if you compare our fees to the 100% debt + interest % + late fees + penalty fees if someone can't meet the monthly required minimum payment.
