I've worked with CountryWide Debt Relief for two years. At that time, there were three companies that I was looking at but the lady at CountryWide was the most helpful. Since it was my first time, I was so scared on what to do but she tried to explain everything to me very well that I decided to go with them. It was nice and easy interacting with their reps, I had no problem. I’m glad I’m out of debt and I was happy with their service. I have a friend who’s having a problem with her debt, so I told her about CountryWide.

I had a lot of debt and I wanted to see if I could get a company to handle the settlement for me. I got a free consultation with CountryWide and they described the program, and recommend everything and what they would do. I’ve paid off the loans so it worked out good. CountryWide has been very positive and I appreciated the help. I was made debt-free.

I had a bunch of credit card debts. I was able to settle one of them, but I didn't have enough money to settle the rest of my debt, and I didn't want people garnishing my account. I was starting a new consulting service and I just couldn't afford to have my bank account dinged. At any rate, I called up CountryWide. I could've settled my debts cheaper myself if I had the money, but I didn't have the money to do that. Using CountryWide's services cost me a little more than I would've liked to settle all of my debts, but they got it all done and I'm very happy that it happened that way.

I didn’t want to file for bankruptcy but I was a single parent and my divorce had left me in a lot of debt. I felt that I couldn't get out of debt by myself. I was very reluctant to even start a debt relief program because I was not quite sure about it. Plus, I felt a lot of guilt about even trying to reduce the debt. I had called a different company before who said that they can help me but before I had gotten off the phone, my credit card was already charged $1,000 for their services. She gave me some plans and I decided to go aggressively with paying some of the debt off and it worked out well because I didn’t want to stay long in it. They contacted all my creditors and told them what was going on and that I'm working with them and my creditors will talk to CountryWide about everything. Now, I am debt-free - I was done paying since 2013.

I was being sued for one of my debts. Then one day, I ended up getting something in the mail from CountryWide Debt Relief. So I started talking to them and took care of all the debt I had. I did all the consultation over the phone because I live in Texas and they're in California. They did my drafts and moved pretty fast. In fact, three of my debts were taken care of within the first month. The rest of them took a little longer because they were bigger. A year later, in 2014, everything was finished which was sooner than I thought. So far, I no longer have disturbing phone calls and that’s the good thing. I’d recommend CountryWide Debt Relief to friends.

I had a credit card and they came after me threatening to sue me so I contacted CountryWide to resolve it. They were very professional and helped me get rid of that issue so I can try and clean up my credit report. It just closed out and it happened really fast. The gentleman that I first spoke to was very friendly and helpful.

Once they had all the information, they told me what would be required of me for the next few years and they allowed me to have some time to think about it, which was really cool and probably what made me choose them out of all the other ones I had to call. I wanted help with my credit card and I got my bills paid off since working with CountryWide. We talked to one person and had great interactions with him. They were fine.

I heard others that were able to get assistance with their credit cards while they were underwater, so I decided to get help with mine. CountryWide was proficient. I got to call them back because I had a problem, and when I talked to them, they were very competent. They knew their job, and they got it done. Because of them, I have relief from debt and from people calling me all the time. That's huge. They've also given me the ability to move forward with my life.

I needed some relief help and Countrywide's letter was the first I opened. I contacted them and didn’t have to worry at that time about any other bills, so it was a good experience. The people at CountryWide were very helpful and readily available whenever I had any questions or concerns.

We were trying to get out of debts fast and the people from CountryWide are the best, especially the agents that were helping us.

I was looking to try to clean up my credit, and that’s what I told Countrywide. I had a bunch of stuff I needed to get taken care of to help my credit a little bit. There were about four companies and Countrywide took care of some of them which was fine. However there were a couple of them where Countrywide said they wouldn't do it because it's been too long and I couldn't get sued for it. But that’s not helping my credit ‘cause it’s still on my credit score. They were polite about it and they answered my questions but it didn't matter whether I liked it or not. They wouldn’t have dealt with it. I had to go through and mess with the other companies myself and it seemed pointless why I even dealt with Countrywide because they didn't take care of even half of them. I wouldn’t recommend them to a friend.

I had heard about CountryWide Debt Relief through my daughter. Because I felt like I was drowning in debts, I decided to contact them. Everything was positive in my interactions with them and now I'm willing to answer my phone. I'd recommend them.

I wish I had a deal with CountryWide the first time because the first couple of companies I dealt with just took my money and ran. But CountryWide took the time to make sure everything was going the right way and they kept me on top of things. Their staff was right on and whenever I needed to talk to them about something, they didn’t hesitate to call or send me a message very quick. I got A1 credit right now and I got everything paid off and my credit is in tiptop shape. A little bit too late, but that’s all right.

The team members at CountryWide were pretty good. They were very informative and took all the questions out of my mouth before I even said them. They helped me out and got me back on track, and I could continue forward afterwards. They're the best. They do what it takes to take care of their customers. They do an excellent job.

Overall, I had a good experience with CountryWide. I called them up and described what my issue was. And then they told me what they did. They’re very upfront about everything, and handled my issue.

Then Richard, the negotiator, was a very good negotiator. We had a 30-month deal. It was an aggressive one, but I am debt-free now. They negotiated to bring my debts 60% down, it made me liquidate all my debts in just 30 months. It was a quick relief of my debts of a high debt. It was not only debt relief but also relief emotionally and the stress associated with having a big debt, and also relief from callers and collectors.

I was with another debt relief company but they weren't helping me very well. I then called CountryWide and told them my situation, and they helped me out right away. They were straightforward and gave me all the information. There were no hidden fees with the cost. They told me as long as I make my payments on time, then everything will be cleared. They said I could probably finish paying my debts if I put in more than what they're asking for. They also said it will take about five years, but it took a lot less than that.

The people at CountryWide were very professional. They explained what was gonna happen and what the cost were gonna be. They did a very fine job of taking care of the situation. My experience has been very rewarding.

I got one more thing that I have someone working on my credit. Once I get that out of the way, I will see some real improvement. We had a lot of debt and I became disabled. My husband took a cut in pay and everything just hit us all at once. I didn’t want to file bankruptcy, so I chose to go with CountryWide Debt Relief. It seemed to be good in the beginning. But toward the end, I was very unsatisfied because the majority of my bills got paid except two that was left in the end. The last two were owed $800 apiece, which would have come down to $400 at the most each. The last big bill got paid in January. So from January until May, they did nothing about it.

We love CountryWide Debt Relief because they helped my son a lot and made his life better. They said it’ll take two years to complete the program and pay everything, and it did. My son moved to Northern California even before the program was completed, so we communicated between the three of us: the company, my son, and me. Of course, he has to fix his credit because it affected his credit score and I have to help him with that but I haven’t done yet because I’ve been so busy myself. I’ll probably go to them if I’d be in the same situation as my son.

I had a good experience working with CountryWide Debt Relief. I got it for 36 months and I'm still going through the program. However, I would like to get a statement in the mail, so I'd know what the balance of my loan is, because I'm really not that big on computers. Or maybe they could text it to me once a month.

I wanted to clear up my debts so I went with CountryWide. I didn't really have any problem with the team members at Countrywide and they seemed to answer my questions. I'm waiting to get all that crap removed from my credit reports. I think most of it comes off this month. However, I never got a statement from them of where every dollar went and who was paid.

I was in Freedom Debt at first and I was just about done. But there was something else that came up, a judgment against me, and I was supposed to go to court. So they recommended a few places and CountryWide off the top of my head. We ran into a problem one time so we contacted CountryWide and they called us back. We were trying to get something off our credit. We went to Freedom Debt for it first but they declined because it had already gone through CountryWide. We had to contact the people themselves but it shows that the item was paid and there was nothing we can do.

I was having a little bit of trouble financially and CountryWide Debt Relief came through. They helped me get in control of the debts I had. They helped me pay off some bills and my credit score went up at that time. I would have different people if I called in but that was okay because they would answer my questions and take care of my concerns. It was a good experience all around. They portrayed their company honestly. If I have friends that are having financial problems, I would have no problem recommending them with CountryWide.

Initially, CountryWide was wonderful. They answered all of my questions that I had and they broke it down. I had never been sued before, and because I didn’t want to deal with it, I wanted to clear it up and fix the problem. If someone’s having challenges with their credit or various things, they may not necessarily have the payment and tools readily available for them. And the person that I was dealing with, Janice, made me feel bad for not having the finances available and I did not appreciate that. I made the initial $300 payment that I had to come up with in order to start the process, which was really challenging. If people don’t have someone that can give them $300, they can’t start the process, which was not right. After that, I had to pay $100 which was more of a feasible amount that I could afford. But the upfront cost was hard.

CountryWide works for the consumers. Working with them made things have get better. I learned from my experience, that I now know the importance of having credit cards, and how they impact me in the long run. The only thing I didn't like is I was paying them, and then I had to pay IRS at the end of the year. But overall, it's a great experience.

I wanted to get things straightened out, and CountryWide did a very good job. They were very nice, so I'd highly recommend them.

I want to thank CountryWide Debt Relief. I had to get rid of my debt so I gave them a call and they helped me out. They did what I needed them to do and they were willing to take care of me. When the process started, I didn’t even have to contact them once. They just went through with the whole thing until the debt was gone. It was a relief. Overall, it has been a great experience.

I was in a hole and I had to dig myself out of it somehow and I'm not that savvy with finance. The CountryWide team was outstanding. They erased $16,000 of debt, and I am now debt-free with these credit cards. I'm doing my credit back up now, but I'd be in more hurt without them. When debt collectors call me up, all I do is give them the number and CountryWide would handle it, and then the calls would stop. I'm very pleased and satisfied with CountryWide and I'd recommend them to anyone.

CountryWide was our re-lister and we bought a house from them. We had gone into debt for the house we bought and we were behind on everything, so CountryWide gave us a plan. They spoke to us about how much we could save and how the payments won't be that high. They explained our situation pretty well. They took a few weeks but they analyzed everything we had to pay and made everything simple for us. They came down with a good payment plan to keep us out of debt. The payment was a little hard but affordable.

At first, I was afraid because I don't know if I'm overpaying this, but everything worked out really good with CountryWide. I really appreciated what they did to me. I didn't know what I need to do and they were there for me. They're really friendly, explained how it works, and answered any of my questions. They took a lot of stress out of me. They got me out of a deep situation that I was getting in and if I have anybody that is undergoing my situation, I'll give them CountryWide. I have recommended them to one of my friends at work who had a lot of debt. He got in and CountryWide helped him out as well. I appreciate all the hard work they did for me and for getting me out of this issue. So now I'm back on my feet well again.

Countrywide Debt Relief's reps were very knowledgeable and walked me through the process. If I had questions or wanted clarifications on my credit report etc, they were able to send me the information. They were very informative and set me up with a clearing bank account, which I had direct access to also. So, from a reporting and communication standpoint, I was kept abreast of the situation the whole time whether it was them reaching out to me or me calling them,. It was a three-year relationship and they have made my life easier. Getting on a payment plan with them has freed me up and it wasn't as worrisome from a month-to-month basis and it was fair. I didn't want to go through bankruptcy so I wanted to try to figure out how best to do the settlement and to budget appropriately. So, setting aside that dollar amount each month definitely helped. I really appreciated their assistance in giving me a fresh start.

I was having difficulties with some companies that were crashing down on me financially and I received something in the mail from CountryWide. I didnt want to go to the alternative and I was in a pinch then. They were very helpful on the front end and everything worked out in an amicable way and was very positive. However, I would request a little more communication on their end about how things are going, what could they do to help and vice-versa just to fill you in on where you're at because I had no idea other than I was making payments every month. Every once in a while, I would get an email but the communication was kind of lacking in my opinion. I'm sure they have multiple people that they're working with but maybe a little more follow up on their end would be better. So they still have room to improve but I've recommended them to a friend. Overall, it was a very good experience.

I needed to take care of my debt problems and CountryWide really helped me a lot. The only issue is that I thought that once I paid off the debt, they'd take it off on my credit report but it's still showing as debt even though I've paid. But their people always answered my questions and if I needed something emailed, they took care of it. If I had to use them again, I would.

I looked into relief help to straighten out my credit. I was having a hard time paying it. After meeting with CountryWide and finding out how the program worked, I felt that it was what I needed. I was trying to purchase a house and my credit needed a little help. I called CountryWide, and they helped me out with everything that I needed. CountryWide team advised me that they’re going to take care of everything. They reassured me that everything was going to be good and that they were going to contact all the creditors, and they did. It was very comforting. I’m still trying to build up my credit, but it’s definitely working well. I asked them one question as to when the creditors are going to fall off on my account. They said that once they get notified, it would fall off. The only thing is that I keep looking back to check and it’s still there. They answered my question, but I’ve been wondering how long it would take for it to fall off on my account. Other than that, my experience has been good.

Los Angeles County Office of Education cut me down to $5 and so my bills were too much more than my income, then my husband got laid off, too, so I was the only one with income. CountryWide would always call me back when I called them. They were very polite and were very attentive. CountryWide has been a blessing, it made life much easier. I'm a teacher and all July we do not get paid until we go back to work end of September, so they would work with me to put the payment behind. I would highly recommend them.

It was a wonderful experience working with CountryWide Debt Relief. I got laid off in 2007 and I was in a position I worked for my company over 20 years and I had a lot of credit cards. It was hard finding a job and I needed to consolidate bills. Then I found out about CountryWide and they were great. Their people that I worked with helped me out because I was being hassled by creditors. Some of the creditors were really nasty and they dealt with it. I really enjoyed that I didn't have to deal with these rude people. CountryWide got me debt-free very quick and fast. I was ripped off by another debt relief company before and I know that CountryWide does their job. Great company, great customer service.

I had a trial court for one of my credit card companies. I got a letter in the mail about Countrywide. Then I had a few phone conversations with some of the people in the court setting up the account and getting everything started. Initially, I thought I was gonna use them for six different accounts but I ended up doing the other ones on my own. They handled one account for me, which is the original. Some of the other things that I had, I felt like with the amount of interest that they were charging here and the amount that they were charging, I was able to settle the debt myself.

CountryWide Debt Relief reps called me and told me how they could help me and then we went from there. They gave me a lot of information. They were up to date and they were really helpful with my questions. Now, I’m not paying any more bills like I was. Every month my paycheck goes towards my credit card bills and now I feel relieved not having to wait to pay something. It has been a good experience.

I would never use CountryWide again. I can never get in touch with them and I had to call several times, leave a message and they call me back and refer me to someone else. It just wasn't that good and they didn't want to give me information about what had been taken out of my check and who was getting what and I didn't find them very helpful. I was sorry that I signed up with them. I didn't get good value from them at all.

The team at CountryWide was professional. They tried to negotiate the pricing down as much as they could for the debt. They were honest and easy to work with. Obviously my credit’s going to go down initially because of settling credit cards, but hopefully it’ll go back up. But I've been out of debt for a while now.

Countrywide Debt Relief helped me on knocking out some of my debt but I don't get any updates when it comes to what has been really paid off. So communication wise, it's not the greatest on their end. I know they're pulling money from my account automatically each month to pay out debts. I wish that they are able to contact me on a more regular basis even by either email or letter stating that "Okay. These accounts have already been paid off." I know one of the accounts has been paid off but it didn't know exactly which account. I wish it's a little bit more detailed. That's one part I would like to know as a customer who is paying a couple of hundred dollars a month so all these debts could be paid off.

Every time I would have questions, they would answer. But sometimes it was hard to get a hold of the person who was dealing with me, my situation or case. I would have to leave messages a lot. But it was alright.

Countrywide sent out a portfolio once a month. They do everything over the phone and fax. They set up a lawyer to handle any affairs that go to court. They were always all about customer service. Working with them, as far as paying off my debt, has been fine. But as far as federal taxes, not good.
