    I looked at some of the reviews online and liked what I’ve seen regarding CountryWide. Their customer service was good and I worked with Socorro. Any questions that I had, they answered for me. The program took about two and a half years, and I saw the benefits from using it quickly. They pay off one account at a time, so as soon as they start getting paid on you start seeing it. I would tell others that it was worth it.

    When I was searching on the internet for a debt relief place to help me, CountryWide Debt Relief came out on the search.     CountryWide helped me with my bills. I paid the debt that was owed, but I still haven’t received some information that I got from them. But all in all, I love them to death. I did what they told me to do, which I paid them on time, kept money in the bank, and everything was fine. I appreciate that. When I had a problem, I would call, and they answered my questions. So I really appreciate them being there for me.

    Everything was done over the phone, but they explained everything to me. They explained to me when I first joined that if something did come in the mail, to give them a call and let them know. And they would tell me to send it to them or to disregard it or they would explain why they were sending it to me. That worked out just perfectly and it only happened twice. They explained to me what it was. I didn’t have to worry about it, and then everything was clear. I’ve finished the program, and I was satisfied. They helped me get out of debt, and I finally was able to save more money.

    I went to CountryWide to help me settle my debts. I investigated a few and it seemed to be the most attractive to me at the time. They asked for all of my credit verification, the paperwork from different companies, for credit cards and I mailed all of that to them. They told me what their process was and they took over, and bit by bit they settled these various debts. I didn’t have to do that myself because they negotiated for me.

    The negotiator was always personable and professional. If I had questions they were answered. We negotiated and they made some suggestions, and I told them what I could afford to pay and we went from there. I thought the payment was a little high, but then I’m not really sure what other companies charge. Also they were always amiable with me. I exist on social security in three years. I have a limited income now, and they were always ready to work with me. If there were some months I couldn’t quite meet the amount of the payment they would work with me so I could pay less on some months. We figured the program would be done in three or four years. And I’m finished with it last month. It reduced the stress I would have had if had to do it all myself. The service I got was very good.

    I hurt my back and I lost my job so I had a lot of debt I couldn’t pay after that. I paid a certain amount each month to CountryWide and they negotiated all my loans and finally got them paid off. My first one was something like 11,000 and we settled that for seven. My credit had dropped down to like 500, and now it’s back up to seven something. The debt settlement process with CountryWide took a few years but I'm glad I did it. If I didn’t do it, I woulda had all kinds of lawsuits. I’d recommend CountryWide because they even sued one of the companies which was calling me after 8 o’clock at night. We won a couple of thousand dollars and CountryWide got 1,500.

    I sought to throw all my debts into one and get rid of it. CountryWide sent me a letter and they seemed better. They called the creditors and made an offer, and then they took the money out of my account and paid the creditors. I didn’t have to deal with any more calls as they took care of it. However, they should let us know when they close the accounts so that we know it’s done, because I still don’t know which one is closed and which one is left. I haven’t had a final letter and I’m still waiting on that.

    My brother had his bills consolidated through CountryWide and he told me about it. The debt settlement process was good and I've completed the program. I was impressed with the way people treated you in there and how they wanted much to help you. If I needed to delay a payment or make one a little bit sooner, they would work with me on changing a date as long as I called them with enough time. I appreciated that very much and they made it easy for me. Working with CountryWide has made my life a lot better and a lot more stress-free.     The CountryWide people that I set up with were great but I didn't speak with them after. I was getting emails from somebody and I would email them back that I agreed. But no one stayed in contact with me through the whole process. That's how it's supposed to happen but that didn't happen. Also, I couldn't use the online service. It never let me log in. I then tried to get access and they expedited the whole issue.

    I was called by one of the companies and I contacted CountryWide and told them that the company wanted to talk to them. But CountryWide didn't get back to them. I got a letter from that same company a week later still trying to negotiate. I called CountryWide the next day but I didn't hear from anybody. I tried to help them deal with it, there should be a follow-up but it didn't seem important. I was a little bummed out because I could've settled my debt for months and it could have been 20% cheaper. But I was told not to 'cause CountryWide is in negotiation but then they ended up negotiating at a higher total. Still, they took care of what I needed. I've completed the program so it's fine.

    We were just drowning and CountryWide brought us back from the brinks of hell. We chose them as they seemed to be the easiest to work with. They were able to split up our payments. I had two payments a month. We could call and try and skip a payment if we had an emergency. When my mother died and I needed to go home for the funeral, I was able to call and ask if I could miss the payment that time and have some extra money. CountryWide was really good about that.

    CountryWide was a godsend. They helped me with everything like my credit score. I felt that everything ran smoothly. Everything was done by them. They would call me and tell me that they negotiated something, what the settlement was gonna be, and that they were gonna send me the papers. I would have to sign them, have them notarized, and send them right back to CountryWide. If I had any questions, I could let them know.     CountryWide was the first I contacted and I paid off my debt with their help. I did exactly what they told me to do and paid the monthly payment. It was easier to pay one payment than pay all those different payments. But I don't think they really explain to you about how bad your credit is going to be for a while, while performing the program, and even after that. My credit wasn’t bad originally. I thought CountryWide's program was gonna sustain my credit and not kill it. They should have told me that this could kill my credit for almost long-term, and even after paying off the debt, it doesn't look good because I didn't pay it in full. They need to explain that a little bit more, and I should’ve been more responsible on looking at the after-effects to my credit.

    I worked with Sequoia and she was really nice when I was able to get ahold of her. But when you call their number, it was absolutely difficult to ask anybody a question about your situation, unless you are signing up. Other than that, the program was really easy. When I wanted to extend one payment and then just make a double payment, they let me do it.

    CountryWide was recommended by someone that had used the company for their own personal debts. I thought I would give it a try. I was very happy with CountryWide's debt settlement process. It was pretty straightforward, simple, and easy to understand. With them taking the payments out automatically, I thought it was a pretty good experience. Also, they really talked to us and gave us some good pointers so we were able to work out a payment plan that we could still survive on.

    I'm a single mom. I had to get loans then I was behind on my rent, so I was living paycheck to paycheck to pay the loans and the interest. I couldn't afford it and at the time, different people were saying to go bankruptcy but I heard that that's not good. A lot of people were also saying just to leave it alone but I said no. If I did that then it would all come back to me. So, I googled for help with the loan and CountryWide popped up online. I clicked on it, called them, and got some information. One of the people there was letting me know how it was gonna work, what I was gonna do, and what I could afford to. In the end, I reached out to consolidate my loans into one so that way, I could make monthly payments instead of paying all my debts out and going crazy.

    It has been an awesome experience because anytime I had a question, I could always call CountryWide and they'd answer. Even if somebody wasn't in, I still got a call back. One time, I missed one payment and I had to call. I let them know that I didn't have the money at the time and they were able to help me even if I just asked them to take it out of my account a little bit late. In fact, they worked with me the whole time I was on their program.

    The application was a long process since I was in a lot of debt but it felt worth it because I'm finally completely done. I've learned from my experience and I've grown a lot. I really appreciate the time that they took to help me get where I'm at. My interactions with their reps also went great because when I was done with the process, they called and let me know about it. They kept me updated and when I moved, I still was able to reach out with them to let them know that I moved and that everything was good. I really thank them for sticking by me. My credit hasn't jumped up a lot but to get that notice saying that I completed the program and that there are other opportunities was very exciting for me.

    I work with a lot of people who are also single moms and some of us kinda overdo it. So I refer them to CountryWide and tell them that it was the best thing that happened to me. There were people that didn't like the program only because their payment was too high. But I told them that they gotta remember that all of their debts are consolidated into one. You they have to be able to stick with it and be prepared for what's gonna happen. So the program could get you confused in the beginning but when it comes to different parts of it, it's worth it.

    When I was having financial hardship, my friend referred me to CountryWide Debt Relief who had a good experience with them. I enrolled with them as well so I submitted all the requirements, I waited for a little bit, then they approved me. When I had a question, I called them and then they called me and let me know what was happening. They sent me a statement for what was settled and what was going on. Their service is good.     CountryWide Debt Relief contacted me over the phone. At that time, I needed help paying my debt and they took care of some of it. They helped me resolve my issues and it was great working with them. I was able to get people on the phone when I called as well. However, I think that they could be a lot quicker in whatever they do when they received information from someone to be able to work the bills out. I wasn’t too impressed with how long it took for them to actually work out and pay a certain bill or contract. They would take forever just to do the simplest thing.     I didn't have to have a start-up fee right away when I went with CountryWide and that was I liked most about them. It gave me some time for my payment to be due like the following month once I've joined. They've been of great help to me. If I had one of the companies on the program kept calling me, even though they were told to stop, I would contact CountryWide and they would assist me on what to do. They pretty much took care of it and I stopped hearing from the creditor. Their customer support is awesome. They don't kick you to the curb when they're done with you. The payment plan was affordable for me, and it worked out well. My credit score has been going up, which I'm super excited about. It's just been a weight lifted off my shoulders.

    I had a lot of debt. I called CountryWide Debt Relief since they said that they would loan up to so much, just like on their signature debt. But then, after they looked at how much I owed, they told me that it was impossible. We talked for a little while and then I told them what I'd put out a month. They said that they could do better than that. Also, the guy I talked to put forth some good ideas, and so I decided to go and use their services. The signing up process was very nice and the payment plan they set me up with was indeed better than what I was putting out. I was really suffocating there for a while, and then it was about $75 less than I was putting out and it really helped me a lot. If I ever find a person who is having the same problem that I had, I would recommend CountryWide Debt Relief to him.

    I went through a divorce and CountryWide made life a lot easier because I didn't have to worry about the debt. The program was all about the issues that I had experienced. So the service was good. What also worked for me was the easier payments as far as automatic payments. I had told them what I had as far as the budget and they worked with that budget. The payments were kinda high but I had to do what I needed to do. So I took that out of the equation and it was pretty much satisfactory. They even reimbursed me whatever the older payments were. That was a good thing. Whatever negotiation they did, they reimbursed me and I kept the money. That was cool. That turned me on.

    CountryWide also took care of all the people that were looking for me as far as the creditors. They did all of the negotiation and told me what I needed to do. It was not announced in the bind where I could make the payments but then they pushed it for the dates that we had negotiated on. So they took care of it.     We had a rather large debt combining all of our creditors and leaving us of security, so we decided we needed to do something. We did some research and found CountryWide Debt Relief. After looking at other companies, we decided to go to someone that’s local. They have an office in Santa Ana, California so, we chose them. It was a good thing we chose them. I had to fill out certain forms with the information during the enrollment, so it wasn’t as difficult of a process. The difficulty was getting it started because we were under the gun with our creditors. It wasn’t that difficult, however, a little tedious but nothing major.

    Most of the stuff was outstanding as it pertains their customer service. They were always available and they explained everything in detail where we could understand what the steps are to take. They kept on top of things and everyone was good. The thing that we appreciated the most was the fact that there were a couple of times where I called and I was rather nervous or a little upset and I sort of took it out on them. But I apologized and they understood. They helped me to remain calm because I was getting calls from the creditors. Mark, Mary, Antonio, and Luisa were the main ones that helped and they were excellent in terms of explaining everything.

    The cost seemed a little high. But then, after working with it, the monthly payment was much less than what we had to put forth with each creditor. So, trying to learn how it works, we had to stick with it because long-term, it was gonna benefit us. When we first started, we thought it was gonna take forever. But now, it’s done. We completed the program on November 30th of last year and things seem better. We get a new budget, and so, it worked really well for us, better than I thought. I feel more at ease and know that there are companies out there that do work with you. Also, there was nothing hidden as far as charges were concerned or anything of that nature. We lucked out in going through CountryWide. I’ve shared this with other people within my family and friends.

So far, I paid off the debt and finished it early. It took me a year to finish the program. The one thing that wasn't super transparent was the cost. I knew that there were certain costs but I didn't get a statement so it was a bit hard to know where the costs go. I couldn't even tell exactly how much I paid to CountryWide. There should be a quarterly statement that clarifies where a certain money is going. That would be helpful. Overall, I had a great experience with CountryWide Debt Relief.

    I was doing good and then after a while, my job went really low. I was falling behind on my debt and I got sued by one of my credit cards. I saw CountryWide Debt Relief's number on one of the poles and I called in. When I talked to them, they told me they could work with me. When I was signing up with them, I called them two or three times because I couldn't understand the process at first. But after a while, the rep told me, "Oh, no, you just gotta put a certain amount and from then, you do a monthly thing."

    I dive or scuba so we don't work all year long. My check was a direct overdraft on my account. And two or three times, I was able to call and tell them if they could hold my check for two or three extra days and they did it for me which was really great. It was a 36 months program and I already completed it. I love CountryWide's service. I was very comfortable with the cost and they started removing the cards back out of my credit so my credit scores started picking up fast. I had a really great experience with them. I referred a coworker to them and she started three months ago.

And then they asked me all the information, got all the information from me, and we took it from there. They were very excellent.     My bills were starting to be overloaded. I couldn't afford all the payment, and so I wanted to get one big payment and consolidate everything. It was easier for me. I was working with a debt company but then, I got a letter from a lawyer saying I was being sued and they didn't have attorney services. CountryWide happened to send me a letter and said something about attorneys or something to that effect. So, I called them and they offered attorney services and so, I decided to go with CountryWide to help me out. The program they signed me up for was they put all my credit debt into one big lump sum and they had me pay 653 a month. We came up with the payment amount because it was the same amount that I was paying from the other company. The rep asked me if that was okay and if I was able to handle that payment and I said yes. So, we stuck to that payment.

    The program was perfect. My credit score went up and nobody has called me and sent any letters. It's all settled. It took a couple of years and the negotiator was really good. That was a nice job and he was really, really helpful. He took his time in talking to me. When I first called in, I was in a panic because there was somebody who sued me. I didn't have all my information that I needed at that time. So, I had said to call him back a couple of times. And he was very polite and patient each time. Also, I was 100% comfortable working with their reps. Anytime I called, they were right on anything I ask. They knew exactly what I was asking and if they didn't know, I got a call right back. Working with CountryWide made life so much better. It gave me peace of mind. My girlfriend is in debt big time and I've already told her about CountryWide.

I went ahead, did a call, and got everything together. On their end, they had everything that was out there under my name, so they were able to put it together. I had one person that was always on top of everything and tried to make sure that I didn’t have anything else or what was next to do. And if there were any issues or anything, to let them know about it. The cost was a little bit high within my budget but in the end, I was able at least to come out with whatever I was paying. I am done with the program and working with CountryWide was pretty good.

    Working with CountryWide, I was able to settle my debts within two and a half years, instead of the original three and half years timeline. They helped me quickly when I came to them, and everything went as planned. They were efficient with what they did and they were willing to work with me, especially to make sure that everything can get handled in a timely manner. And I was comfortable working with them. They were friendly and whenever I had questions and I left a voicemail for them to call me back, they got back to me quickly, within a day or two. Then if they didn’t have the answer for me upfront, they got someone who can answer the questions for me. If I had a question about either a payment or adding or discontinuing one of the debt collectors, they were able to look it up and see if they were still in business or they were willing just to settle upfront.

    They also worked with my income and with my payments. They weren't trying to get more than what I could pay. If I was short on a payment, they would help me out and add it to my next month. So they weren't too strict, and they were lenient with my payments. And then within a year, my credit started to go back up, that I had more opportunities to get things under my name without having to think of being late on a payment or having something in debt or nothing paid. It helped a lot. It does show up as a charge-off account on my credit, but that’s better than just not paying them at all.

    Working with CountryWide was good, fairly simple and very helpful. I had a car that went to collection and after getting CountryWide's name from an advertisement, I immediately went there.     I had listened to a radio station and came across CountryWide Debt Relief. I decided to call and find out exactly what they do, so I got more information from them. I had my own counselor and I didn’t have to deal with everybody else, which made it very easy. My counselor and I talked about the timeline, but I understood that the process sometimes takes a little longer depending on which creditor we were dealing with. I got a rough estimate and I knew that it would take some time because it’s a process. I liked the first counselor. He was very helpful and whenever I called in and had questions about things, he got the questions answered. If there was any progress, he would call me or send me an email letting me know what was going on.

    I knew when he had spoken with the creditors. He was sending me information and letting me know that they were contacting them and working on a settlement at that time. And as soon as that was completed, he would let me know. If I didn’t hear from them, I knew it hasn’t been completed yet. On the other hand, there was not much interaction with the second one unless I called.

    The payment plan that they set up for me was easy to manage and I didn’t have any problems with it. CountryWide was really good. They explained everything upfront - how much it would cost and how often they would take the money out of my account. If I have creditors, I would have several deals, but I had that one deal with them and I told them to pay it faster. CountryWide simplified the solution and that was what I was looking for. I wanted to get the money back to the creditors, but I wanted to make sure that I didn’t have to hear anything from them and I would only be hearing from CountryWide, and that was what they did. They sent the creditors letters to let them know that CountryWide had the accounts and that they were the ones working on it.

    I’m done with the program and it was nice because when you are going through life’s crisis, you find that your creditors aren’t very sympathetic with what you’re going through. They don’t care and the bottom line is money. I wanted to get the problem done that’s why I contacted CountryWide. I also wanted to make sure that the creditors got their money. I always paid my bills, but I had a crisis in my family where I almost lost my son, so I had to stop working. When I explained that to CountryWide, they were really good. They said that they would take care of it and would help me through all of that, and they did. Everything that I needed to be done, they got it done.

    I lost money in the stock market in ’02 and then again in ’08 because it was invested through our company that we retired from back in the Midwest. CountryWide was great. They helped me with my credit card and it was all done over the phone. They got with my credit card companies and they tried to reach an agreement with them for either 40%, 50% or 60% of what I owed and they were able to get all the companies to settle. There was one that didn’t wanna settle and it took a little longer.

    I sent the information to them and I really never ever called them. I just started sending monthly payments in and I never missed any. They sent notices after a couple of years or whatever was paid off. They always let me know where I was standing. I’ve been done with the program for five years. I was happy with everything they did. They made things better for me because on credit cards, I was making about $800 a month payments and I could cut it to where it was cut down to like $400 over a three-year period. Everything went smooth and I would recommend them. It worked well for me.

    I had a lot of debt and I lost my job. So, I couldn’t pay everybody. The person from CountryWide who helped me explained it to me carefully and he understood my needs. They asked me how much money I make and they put together all my accounts and they came up with $1,000 a month. They choose to settle whatever will be the most for the year. So, it may be less, depends on the settlements. They said normally 50% less, sometimes it’s full, sometimes it’s a fixed fee. Every time they set all the payments, they sent me a letter. They keep me updated with the information about the automatic account and every time I needed to talk to someone or have questions, they would answer the phone, then they would get back to me.

    The program was for four years, I’m now done with it and it only took me three and a half years. It was a good experience working with them. Since then, I don’t like to buy on credit anymore. If I spend something, it gets paid off the next month because I don’t wanna make the same mistake, it wasn’t easy for me to pay $1,000 a month. They’re really great. I recommend it to friends and family when they need to solve these kinds of issues.

    I was in debt and needed to consolidate and pay down with just one payment. I had used CountryWide's service before and it was pretty good, so I chose to go with them again.     I decided to go with CountryWide Debt Relief just from talking to the guy when I initially called in. We've been contacted by one lawyer for over one bill. So between them and Higbee & Associates everything was settled and taken care of. The enrollment was super simple and we're now done with the program. I only had to speak with one of them and at the very end, we had one bill that we couldn't figure out where it was. Otherwise, the only time that I would hear from them was whenever they had received the settlement offer and they just shoot me an email to see if I wanted them to try some more.

    The communication was perfectly fine. I'm not too long-winded. If you've got an offer, just send over the details. If I agree with it, I'll tell you yes or no. The process was relatively simple and painless. Plus I didn't have a problem with the cost. It was a 20-something-dollar a month service fee. And then you get the Higbee & Associates to work with you. That's all included. The only thing is they didn't mention anything about the hourly fee for Higbee, for the worked performed up to that point, once you pulled out of the program. But they did include that on the second documentation, which was just an update of the initial doc. It was 300 bucks an hour. Other than that I never had any issues. They always responded promptly whenever I would send them something. And I now have more money.

    When my credit cards with Capital One had served me papers for court suing me, I tried to be adequate about protecting my credit and my name and reached out to CountryWide. I looked at it as consolidating what was showing up on my TRW and they were able to assist me. They helped to relieve the phone calls and get the debts resolved. The negotiators I worked with were cool. They answered/returned my phone calls and their customer service, overall, was excellent. I was a little iffy at the beginning but then I noticed that the phone calls went away, the mails stopped, the things with my credit score seemed to go up, and I would get the notifications of what was paid off so after three months my confidence was a little bit stronger and felt like it was working and doing what it was supposed to do.

    The cost in relation to the quality of the service was okay, but there was one time I had a financial situation and I wanted my payment to be lowered. I was told that if it was lowered, then it could possibly pay the debt off later than the expected time. They gave me a timeline of two years to finish the program and I had to grind it out with the payment that I was paying until my debt was over. It was a great relief and I would suggest the next person to possibly do a little bit more research before jumping in with something to see if there's something else out there that might be a little bit more affordable. The two-year plan and the payment was long for me and anything could have happened which would increase my debt. I just had to jump into it because I was under the gun and the clock was ticking for me.

    I needed a debt relief company and a friend of mine gave me the company that she was using which was CountryWide Debt Relief. I enrolled in their debt consolidation program and I had to give them all my accounts with the account numbers and a valid phone number so that they could take over everything. After that, they told me to stop making payments so that they could start settling with the companies. Their reps would email us and we'd contact them if we had any questions. If we had anybody harassing us, we would just give CountryWide the lawyer number associated with the account. Moreover, they'd take care of any legal proceeding and I didn't have any debtors or creditors calling me. They would settle and pay the accounts. Then CountryWide would send me a letter saying everything was settled. When things were being paid off, I'd get a monthly statement until I was finished.

    There were times where we called and they didn't get back to us in a timely manner so they should work on getting back to their customer. Other than that, everything has been smooth. The cost was a little high, but because we needed to get things taken care of, we were at a point where it didn't matter. All things considered, it worked out. CountryWide was great. They settled all my debt and took care of everything for me 100%. Originally, they said it would take three years, but we did it in two and a half, so we're happy with that. There are a few things they should work on but I'd recommend CountryWide Debt Relief.

The less I paid, the longer I'd be paying and the more I paid, the less time I'd pay. I would have liked getting a breakdown of what they have paid and what was left because they didn't send me a statement. They told me everything was in negotiations so, they couldn't give me an exact bill. An actual bill or a straight-up invoice would have been helpful so I know exactly what I'm looking at and I have something to look forward to. But I got a high outcome, so I'm happy.

    When I lost a job, I got behind financially and I couldn't catch up. It was getting worse and I even ended up getting court action. I decided I needed to do something at that point and my attention was caught by CountryWide’s advertising on the radio. I gave them the information on what the debtors were and they solved the problem for me. They contacted all those debtors, consolidated all those debts and made arrangements. They told me how they would structure the program and what I would need to make available each month in order to pay the debts off in a set number of months. It was direct out of my check on a certain date each month and they simply paid my debts one at a time until it was satisfied.

    Their negotiators were personable as well. They showed genuine concern to help me get through this and gave me some positive outlook that it was going to be okay. They assured me that the debtors were contacted and that every arrangement was made for how the payments would be made. Things worked out exactly the way they said it would and everything was perfect. The cost of the service was of no consequence to me either. I was just relieved in not having debtors call me and in knowing that things are being resolved. CountryWide has improved my credit score immediately although I’m still waiting on a couple of things to clear up from it and it can take time.

    Prior to getting CountryWide Debt Relief, I had called one company before, but they gave me a runaround. They were not definite on when everything would be over and they said they couldn’t handle some things. When I called CountryWide, they ensured me that they could do that, they would try to make it as cheap as possible and they didn't give me a runaround so, I went with them. The cost was fair and the service was really good.

    The negotiator was reassuring and I felt really comfortable working with CountryWide because he was really nice to me. He told me to simply go along with the program, do everything right and make sure that the money is there so I won't fall behind. The payment plan was really good. He didn’t put any strain on me and it was easier because I was paying less than what I would if I was paying all the debts at one time. I fell behind once and they were understanding. They were also straightforward and did everything that they said they were going to.

    The negotiator said that in about a year, I'd be through. Everything was dropping off one at a time. He told me I was closer to being debt-free and then, it happened in the month that they said I would be debt-free. They told me to simply take care of that and try not to get into any other debts. I followed everything they said and everything happened just like they said. I'm through with the program now and they even sent me a refund check for overpayment. We have more money left over and I can handle things now. I recommend them to anybody. I gave a couple of cards to a couple of people that I know and I also told them that CountryWide is a good company. Do everything that they say and you will be debt-free.

    I had probably $15,000-$16,000 worth of credit card debts that my husband and I had, and he passed away. I tried to keep up with payments, and I just couldn't, so I got really far behind. I had a house that was a rental property. I had a mortgage on it, and I was hoping to remodel it and move into it myself. However, my credit wouldn't allow me to do that, but CountryWide and I got it fixed anyway. The debt settlement process went fine, and anytime I had any questions, I called the negotiator and he talked to me. We agreed on the cost of the program, and they did what they needed to do.

    CountryWide also worked with me on my payment plan options where I could afford it, and the negotiator did exactly what he said he was going to do, and he did a good job. CountryWide got a certain amount out of my bank account every month for two years, and every time I would get one card paid off, I would get a phone call and a letter in the mail from them, letting me know that this account has been settled and I'm done with it. I’m finished with the program now, and my credit score has improved. I already have recommended CountryWide, and I gave the number out to a couple of people and told them what the company did for me.     I wanted to get over my debt, consolidate everything and have one lump sum payment on a monthly basis versus paying the minimum payment on every balance that I had. I did my research and looked at several websites like Credit Karma, Google reviews, and Yelp reviews. Everybody recommended CountryWide Debt Relief and they didn’t have any issues. I called CountryWide to ask basic questions and about how it works. Then it took me a few days to call them back and give them a thumbs-up to move forward. They heard what problems I came in with and they had a solution for it.

    The gentleman that helped me out walked me through every single step and told me what to do from the beginning all the way to the end, and everything was taken care of. He explained to me what accounts were going to be a priority, what were easy to take care of and which ones were going to be the more difficult one to deal with at the end. We talked about how long I would like to take to get this taken care of -- if I wanted a short-term or a long-term depending on my budget. I wanted it to be dealt with as quick as possible so I chose a 3-year plan. It fit my budget and it worked out. I’m done with the program now and it definitely helped out.

    My negotiators were also very understanding and patient. I had several questions and I wanted to make sure I was asking the right questions because I was jumping into something very serious and and they took their time in explaining. They would also call me personally or send me an email to tell me that an account was already settled. Everything was documented. I had a couple of questions which took them an hour or two to get back to me which was fine. When I would leave a message, they would call me back within an hour or two and then explain what was going on or help me out in whatever situation I had. So their response was quick.

    They gave me an estimated date when everything would be completed and which I agreed on. But they told me I might finish sooner if they could really push the creditors and have a deal with them. They walked through every step with no hesitation and we did finish a couple of months earlier than the estimated date so everything worked out. They weren’t very demanding and they understood everything that I had to say. They also met my budget and the timeframe that I needed it to be completed. I’m relieved that I am debt-free now. It’s a new year and I’ve got a lot of plans ahead. The whole experience was great and if others are in the same boat that I was in a few years back, I would definitely recommend CountryWide to them and let them know that I already did my legwork in researching and CountryWide is the best company to go with based on my research and experience.

    I was so desperate that I almost filed for bankruptcy and then I looked at things online. My son told me not to believe them but I needed some help. I gave them all of my information and they looked at it and then said how much that they can offer for me, what they're going to negotiate to the company, the IRS, etc. But I learned a lesson. CountryWide Debt Relief has taken so long to process all activities of my debt and they ended up sending me to the IRS for cancellation. And at the end, for this part of the year, they said that they solved my portfolio for Sears, Citibank and all I've had. There just three items in there that they said they had solved but they did not because I got sent back to the IRS at the end of this year. I have two accounts that I got sent to them and got added to my income now from the last past year. That sucked because I made all this payment and they said they're done but not really because it went to the IRS.

    I called them and asked what was going on, they said they were sorry that it took so long to process. I said, "Well, I started on June 2015 and why they're still not done on around April of the '16 that I still got to be reported." They said there's only one person working my account. I was okay with that. But then at the end that I got another one consolation from the IRS. I wasn't happy at the end since 2016. They counted all my debt to IRS and have to pay them back as income. So, they're supposed to figure out how to help me because I already made all this payment since June of 2015. I am dissatisfied and I would not recommend them to a friend.

    CountryWide Debt Relief reached out to me and it was something that I needed at that particular time so I gave them a call. I was involved in a program for two years so I was kind of going back. The process was smooth and streamlined. I've told them what I've wanted to have happened and they put together a plan together for me. They came back with a higher payment than what I had budgeted for and they worked with me to reduce that to what I was comfortable with paying. The program was certainly good. I wasn't dealing with the phone calls from the creditors anymore. That completely stopped which was totally helpful.

    I only spoke to a negotiator only once. Other than that, they either left me a voicemail and told me what was happening and if I had any questions, I could call them back. I'm very busy so as long as I can receive the information and they were in communication enough, I will not be wondering what was going on. They did that and it totally worked for me. I made my payments on time and that went smoothly. I was able to look up my account online whenever I wanted to know where I was and how much I have left to pay which was very helpful as well.

    I was done with the debt but I would caution them on what they tell people at the front-end that when they were negotiating, they would be their best. And that a lot of their clients received a refund at the end because they were able to reduce the amount of payment in that type of thing. Once I was finished with the program, my thought was I was going to get a certain amount because they might've given a dollar amount or estimate. In the end, I was told I'd only be getting $30 refund. So, they should steer away from that.

    I was with CountryWide Debt Relief for three years, and I made the last payment in November. They had their own lawyers and they helped me, and I liked them. I got along with them and they got along with me, and they helped me as much as they possibly could. There were a couple of relief negotiators and I had to talk to a few different people there. Once in a while, I’d get the same one because there were about four people that I had to talk to. I was really comfortable working with CountryWide and it really helped me with my credit score.     I called different debt relief companies and they didn’t cover right, so I dealt with CountryWide whose customer service is better. I got in trouble with another company that was out of state and they were taking my money out of my checking account. Then they went into bankruptcy, and they still didn't give back all the money I sent them. But the CountryWide negotiator did what he said he was going to do, and it was fine. The payment plan was good and it was easy for me to pay it. Whenever I sent money to them, they could get it out of my checking account. It was hard to give up the money right, but I worked some other way and still let them get it, and now I’m doing good for Christmas this time. I’m debt free now. They did a good job for me and I appreciate what they did. If I get in this jam again, they would be the one I'd get. Plus, if I know somebody in debt, I would tell them to use CountryWide.

    The percentage rates on my three cards were too high. I tried to call them directly and negotiate but nobody talked to me. I went with a debt relief company but after six months, I didn't get the results I expected. So I asked for a refund and they gave me all my money back. Then CountryWide Debt Relief took over and did the job. They talked the better game and showed better results. They said that the credit people were going to keep on calling me and I didn’t have to answer if I didn’t want to. The only thing I needed to do was to tell those people that I was not taking any calls. When those people would call, I would give them another number they needed to call. We had to do a little settlement and CountryWide would send me something to sign. Then they would send it to the people to tell them to leave me alone. They were my intermediary.

    They got three card companies off of my back and they did it case by case, one at a time. They would negotiate with my creditor and it would take about six to eight months before they would give me a figure. But in the meantime, I had to keep on paying CountryWide a certain fee. They asked if I could live with it and I said okay. Then they sent me some more papers which I signed it then they would close that one. After that, they would move on to the next account. Finally, I was out of debt and everything was paid off in August of 2013. CountryWide was topnotch and I'd highly recommend them to anybody who wants to get out of debt. I'd tell them to jump on it because they are a reputable company.

    I had a whole bunch of accounts that I couldn't take care of because my husband lost his job and he wasn't bringing enough income. I was trying to look for a debt negotiation program without having to file bankruptcy. I then looked online and that's when I found the CountryWide. I went with them because the other company I talked to weren't as professional as them. Their whole process was so easy and it was convenient for us because with CountryWide, we only had to pay $369 instead of $1,000. Aside from the fact that they were able to settle, they saved us a lot of money. When I first signed up, my credit score was at 700 and it went down to 400. They did warn me about it, but they told me that it would go up after the process.

    They were also really helpful throughout the whole process. When I opened the account with them, I did everything through my phone with DocuSign, then they verified with me all the information about the accounts and then I verified with them. They then told me my rights as someone being with the debt negotiation program. I had $20,000 worth of debt and it was all taken care of in less than 3 years, which was the duration of my program. It was really fast and easy. Also, whenever I had to ask for an extension since sometimes 16th wouldn't land on a Friday and that's when my husband gets paid, I would leave a message to my rep, then they would call me right away and take care of the payment arrangements. Whenever I wanted a message from the rep, she responds to me in no more than two hours.

    I went looking up debt consolidation on the internet and CountryWide popped up. I had some debt I wanted to get cleared up as quickly as I could. I spoke to CountryWide and they presented me with the options. They gave me the most information compared to other companies. They were also the first I was referred to and they had a good rating.

    CountryWide said that they could line my debt all up and talk to my creditors and they did. I gave them the personal information that they needed to get it rolling and we set up a payment plan. I also gave them my bank information so they could debit payment every month. They broke the payment down in 36 months and said if I pay this much amount, I will be clear of it in X amount of time and that number was better than all the individual payments I was making. My debt amount was just shy of $10,000 and I paid $100 a month.

    I started with them a year ago at the end of October of 2016 and I had finished their program since June of this year. I came in a little bit of money and I used it to pay off the rest of what I owe in the program. The negotiator, Tom, was very thorough. He lets me know what had popped up, what he had found, what he was able to settle, and what he was able to pay on. I didn’t have to do a lot of follow up with him. In the whole eight months, I made four calls to him and he was just on it.

    My financial habits have changed dramatically. I’ve made leaps and bounds with my own personal credit and knowing that debt relief programs are out there, it provides a good amount of relief. But it's also enabled me to say I don’t want to have to do that again. Knowing that after the settlement they're available to keep me in my situation has created some peace of mind knowing that if I was ever to be in trouble again, I know exactly what to do instead of letting it go so far. If I had to recommend CountryWide to somebody else, I would send them to CountryWide straight away.

    I got overwhelmed with credit card debt and I was with another company that I was really unhappy with. So I called around to different places to see what debt relief would suit my needs and I found CountryWide Debt Relief. They took five different credit cards and they negotiated with the credit card holders as to pay-off and they did a good job. I gave them more information and signed some documents online. And they started to give me some of the credit card calls in the beginning. The previous credit card company had done all the major work in terms of getting rid of all the calls from the creditors. And then I went to CountryWide Debt Relief and they didn’t really do much, it wasn’t really a strong business relationship. They were the holding unit until I was able to pay the whole total off which I did.

    Mary, the woman calling out, was really good and I really liked her a lot. She was really spot-on and did a really good job. She called when she said she was going to call and took care of the items that were very stressful for me to take care of. I liked how they provided the legal service for the two credit card companies that tried to sue me so that was awesome. They took care of that really well. I negotiated a payments pay-off so I paid them $25,000, and now I’m done with the program. I was in a really bad place with all the debt and they were able to help pull me out of the other agreement that I had that wasn’t as good. It’s been great working with CountryWide. I remember too many of the low lights just because it was hard, but I don’t have any credit card debts or any incoming credit card anymore. Also, I would tell others to give them a shot and go with them.

    We were very happy with CountryWide Debt Relief. They are friendly and helpful. We got really behind in paying our credit card. We didn't know it went to collections and we got served. I searched for what to do and people said to look for a debt relief program. I typed in debt relief program and CountryWide popped up. I looked at the reviews about it to make sure it was legit and there were some fairly good reviews and nothing seemed too fishy about it then I was like, “Okay, we'll go with it. We called CountryWide Debt Relief and we loved Kosh, the rep we got. He was really helpful and made us feel at ease.

    He explained how the program worked. When he sent us the first spreadsheet of what we could offer and how it would work he was so patient with us in explaining whenever we had concerns. When we told him we couldn't afford the first amount he worked with us in meeting our budget. I liked that he was so thorough that there was nothing that caught me off guard about it. He was my go-to if I have any questions and he was great about always responding, like I would have a response the same business day and never going to have to go more than one day without knowing any answer to my question.

    At first we kept saying, "We can't pay this" or "We can't pay that." They enlightened us to where we could pay. It made us more aware of our budget, our monthly payments and how to cut off on things. It made us feel less fearful whenever a debt collector called us. At first the collectors would intimidate me and make me cry. But after starting the program I just tell Kosh about it and they handled it.

    CountryWide was more persistent than anyone else and they kept sending mails. I started the repayment plan with them three years ago and I finished the program in August. All of them were great. They showed concern and got back with me every quarter or so until it finished. It worked great for me, but nobody ever called me to say that it's completed and what will happen after that. Everything is coming off from the credit bureau and I wasn't sure about the process after I completed it or if everything will come off of my credit now. Other than that, my life had been so much better in the last three years and I had less stress. It was a good investment and I would highly recommend them.

    We were in over our heads with credit card debt and we were trying to pay it off but some of the companies wouldn’t negotiate with us and wouldn’t lower interest rates so we just had to do something else. I looked up CountryWide Debt Relief online and compared them with another company. CountryWide was better and lower. They explained to us that they were going to negotiate the contract with the other creditors. They consolidated all my debt and I just paid one monthly payment for three years.

    When they settled, they would send us a letter saying how much they were going to settle for and how long it was going to last. If we had any questions, we’d call and they were more than happy to answer the questions and they were really available so that was great for me. At the end of the letter, they made sure you pay your monthly payment. That way it doesn’t disturb what they’re going to pay. They agreed to pay the creditors. I just paid every month what I had to pay and that’s all I had to worry about. Those were the guidelines so that’s what we did and so we had no problems.

    They were really nice and they walked us through what was going on. They were very helpful and told us exactly what was going to happen step by step and that was exactly how it played out so I was glad that I chose them over somebody else. They paid off some of them less than expected and they also gave me a refund in the end. Now I'm out of debt and I could breathe, and life is much better. That’s weight off my shoulders. They helped out tremendously and I really appreciate that. CountryWide is a great company if you want to get rid of your debt. They’re true to their word and at the end, you’ll be a happy customer. Nothing was wrong, no glitches so, it was an amazing experience.

    I had a lot of credit cards and I was behind with payments. A friend of mine referred me to CountryWide Debt Relief and signing up was easy as everything was through email, phone call or fax. Their customer service was also great. They answered my questions and if I left a message, they would return my call within 24 hours. They fixed all my payments into one and presented a payment which was $200. They didn’t give me a lot of options with my payment plan and I just had to make it because I had a few credit cards.     I’ve looked at a couple of debt relief companies but the people at CountryWide were a lot more personable than the other companies that I'd spoken to, so I went with them. The debt settlement process was good. It stopped the phone calls, the nasty grams coming in, it got some relief in the fact that I'd stopped trying to pay all the monthly bills and they came down to one monthly amount that I was paying to CountryWide, and they were out settling the debts. And they gave me an estimate of what they could settle the debt for, which shocked me because it was far than I ever thought that they could settle it for. All in all, it was a good experience. There was a number of phone calls and emails, working with the attorneys. And then, after about four months, it was just a statement each month showing up. Everything fell into place and just went on automatic.

    It wasn't until we got down to settling with the final outstanding debt that we had a couple of conversations with the CountryWide negotiator. They would only contact when necessary, which is really good because you don't want to be there thinking about, “Oh, when am I going to get the next call? Is it going to be good news, bad news, all the news.” The cost of the service was definitely reasonable. It stopped the headaches, hassles and the issue of trying to catch up. The credit card companies accelerate the interest rates they have and the only thing you can do is pay the interest and you're trying to pay down the principal. But the credit card companies don't make it easy. Until you get somebody to fight on your behalf, it's going to feel a battle and to some extent, the credit card companies are doing themselves a disservice because if they were willing to work with consumers, then they can get more money. But it's the age of greed factor kicking in.

    CountryWide has been very professional did exactly what they said they would do, they were great to work with. The entire experience was very pleasant and easy. I was pleasantly surprised when they said what they could likely settle a debt for. I was like, "Wow! That's a lot lower than I ever thought you could settle it for." So, now, I'd highly recommend them.

    I was stressed of all the calls and all the letters that I received. I was also getting served so it was plain crazy. I was looking through a lot of paperwork ahead and had to submit letters to courts. I couldn’t do those things so I looked into debt relief.     My husband and I had a lot of economic issues for a year and CountryWide Debt Relief came to the perfect time. They were like a little angel. They came to me first, talked to me in Spanish, and it worked pretty good. I gave them my information and they worked on all the paperwork. And they told me, "This is what you're going to be paying a month," which was for three years, and that's it. I worked with different people and they sent me emails and we talked on the phone. However, when they finished one account they didn't send me an invoice telling me how much I owed and what I still need to work on. I don't even know how much they got for all the service and I didn't like that, but I had to finish it.

    I finished it and I've been asking for invoices to see what I paid for, what they got for the service and what the lawyer got for their service. They told me they don't do that. Then I was like, "I'm the customer and I should have right to have it." But then I said, "Okay, whatever. I just finished it, paid it. And if you got more money than I paid for, good for you. I'm done with you." They're a good service but I'm not recommending them to another person because they don't give information on people's standing. For example, someone has a credit card that owes $3,000 and they settle that with $1,000, that means that someone needs to pay $1,000. The person doesn't need to pay the $3,000. What's going on with the $2,000? I paid more than what I owed on those three or four credit cards. I don't want the other person to pay more than what they have to be charged. It's not worth it.

    I have overwhelming debt and I needed to fix my credit. I was in Afghanistan at that time. I emailed CountryWide Debt Relief and then I received a message back. Then I set up a conference call and talked with their negotiator to set up a plan. She was professional and courteous. They offered to take care of my debt for a small fee. They said there were some perimeters like if the debt was 10 grand, they could bring it down to as much as $6,500. So we negotiated back and forth.

    I had one of my debt pulled from the program because it was very small. It's something that I could take care of on my own. Based on the numbers that they provided before everything was initiated, it sounded pretty good. It's going to take me two years at 320 bucks a month to get where I wanted to be. I started making payments but I could not track my progress because the website was nonexistent. They kept sending me a link to check on the status monthly. I couldn't find anything online so I was a little frustrated with that because I was out of the country and wanted to know what my progress was. That went on for six months.

    I got home and suddenly they sent me a letter saying that, because of my request, that they're ending the program, saying I'm debt-free. They sent me a refund check for a couple thousand dollars. I was a little perplexed. I'm in the middle of starting a new company right now because I'm not going back to Afghanistan. So I'm hyper-focused on the launch of this company so I haven't been able to call them to ask them why the program ended so abruptly without my consent. It was a weird ending and I wouldn't highly recommend them.

    I had a pretty good experience with CountryWide. I worked with them about three years ago and I was really impressed with the way that they were able to get some of the fees lower. Before getting into the program, I did some research online. I was just trying to make sure that I was in a company with a good rating. And as I worked with them, one main concern was with a creditor who was trying to take me to court and then CountryWide stepped in and took care of that. I didn’t have to go to court and that was really good. I also had a good debt settlement with another company, I didn’t think that they were going to actually do it. My payments were made via automatic withdrawal and eventually, I completed the program. The cost of the service was good considering the quality delivered by CountryWide.

    There’s just something I didn’t quite understand with the amount that I actually paid in and then the deduction of the fee that was paid off. I was under the impression that whatever money that was left would come back to me because it was like I was paying into an account to pay out.     I was looking for somebody to handle some collections. I had a collection agency who tried to file a suit. I sent Countrywide Debt Relief the court order that I had and they also pulled my credit report and we went through it.     I was paying bills for 20 years but it didn't seem to be getting down any further and I got tired of it. Even when I'm paying $50 extra towards my principal, it just doesn’t seem to do much. I then went with CountryWide Debt Relief because they had a better reputation online and they did what they had to do. The process of their debt settlement was very quick and easy. Payments were set up on my payday every two weeks. I started April 2014 and finished last month. They were expecting it to go all the way to October but they were able to negotiate the debts for 40%.

    Every time there was something being negotiated, I get letters, emails, and sometimes phone calls. The rep that I dealt with was very knowledgeable and anytime I called him, he called me back within a day or so. He also leaves a message if he wasn't available. Their ongoing customer service is also excellent. Since I had them, I have two credit cards that I kept going and with everything negotiated and charged out, I pocket $680 a month.     I had CountryWide take care of some debt for me, and it was a good experience. If I had questions, then they would answer me. It’s pretty much transparent for the most part. Initially, I did not understand how the entire system worked, and I am to be blamed partially for that. There's multiple party involved other than CountryWide. They're the originator, and then they basically hire out other sources. The problem is that the client has different people to contact for different parts of the process. If it had one point of contact, it may have been a little bit more convenient. But in the end, it worked out. I'll recommend them.

    I shopped around for six months because I had a lot of debt from unnecessary credit cards and unpaid bills that I didn't pay. I read CountryWide Debt Relief's beliefs and I liked what they stood for and so I went with them. All around, they are great. Whenever I would call, I would be able to talk to someone or leave a voicemail and they'd call me back.     My interactions with CountryWide Debt Relief negotiator were good. They called and negotiated with every company and got each payment lowered, and then they collected $345 a month for me to pay back people. I was satisfied with them. I figured it was cheaper to go with them for the time that they did the debt settlement. So far, they've paid back what I owed. My problem was, I've completed the program with CountryWide and I had paid all my money but they hadn't paid pennies for another company to say that I'm paid all the way through. Now I couldn't borrow any money anywhere to refinance my house because I owed CountryWide money through the debt relief program which kind of upsets me. It is still on my credit report and I would like it taken off. Otherwise, they were great.

    I wanted to get out of debt and chose CountryWide since their ratings were good. I got a settlement program with them which started with signing up and getting all of my credit cards within them. Then they set up how much payment would be due in a month and started taking it out of my account. After, I would get a call or email from the negotiator who'd tell me that they managed to work things out with my creditors.

    When I first signed up, I didn't realize that I was supposed to be six months behind on one of my credit card debts so I was sued by that company because of it. I had to wait six months before CountryWide started settling with my credit cards and if I had realized that, I wouldn't have signed up for the program because it put me farther in debt to sign up for it than what I needed to be. But that could've been my fault and the program still worked very well for me. I've completed the process and I'm out of debt now. My interactions with CountryWide's reps were always positive. When I was sued, I was able to call in immediately and got my questions answered.

    I wanted to get out of debt fast so I did a search on the internet and Country Wide popped up. I went for their debt settlement program and that was okay. The guy I was working with at first, quit or got fired. So there was another guy I worked with and he was nice. My debt was small compared to other people and they did a fair job throughout. I've already finished their program. I refinanced my house and my mortgage company paid off all my debt. I was only in the program for about eight months.

    Country Wide could lower the payment though. I understand that they are working with creditors to get it down lower and I could do the same thing myself because that’s what I did for my other company that was on Country Wide. I called the creditors and they gave me a better deal than Country Wide was giving me. So I took some stuff off. The creditors offered me $4000 lesser than Country Wide. Nevertheless, I’d recommend Country Wide to other people but they should try not to get themselves in debt.

    I let my credit get out of hand. I did some things for my children and I bought certain items for them like cars. However, they failed and couldn't come through so I had to clean it up. That was the main reason I went to CountryWide Debt Relief, aside from when I first got my house, it was with them so it sounds familiar. They gave me the amount that I would have to pay. Once I signed up with them, I just paid about $450 dollars a month for about three years and that was it. When it ended, I wasn't overpaying it but they sent back two month's over payment of about $800. They gathered all of my outstanding debt and they combined them. Then, they gave me credit where I didn't have to pay the full amount. I went to Home Depot and they gave me a $5,000 credit.

    I read up on them before I went with them. There were positive and negative and I just went with them and all I had experienced was positive. They're the best. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and there was no hanky-panky. Along the process, they would send me a receipt information saying that, "This particular one is paid to this amount and this is how much more you have to go."     I had a credit card that I was trying to get paid off. We had problems with the vendors because I was behind on the payments. That brought my credit score down and put a lot of stress on me.     I had an outstanding debt and CountryWide Debt Relief was more efficient and a lot cheaper on the monthly fees. They were able to offer me a better deal which was very affordable based on the amount of debt that I had. I completed the debt settlement process and it was really simple. They followed up with me and worked with the creditors. They set my monthly payment plan up and told me what it would be. They allowed me to say which was the best time of the month for them to get the payment from my account because I had to set up automatic deduction. They gave me the option to say if I want it on the 1st of the month, the middle of the month, or the end of the month so that I would be able to make my payments on time.     I can't afford the monthly payment of my credits. I tried some companies before but it didn't work. They gave me a certain time and I agreed with it.     I was behind on my payments in all my credit cards so I went with CountryWide Debt Relief since they gave me a shorter time with less amount of monthly payments. When I first contacted the CountryWide negotiator, he explained everything to me very well about the process. I sent them all my bills and information on my credit. I told them that I was sending the credit card companies the lowest monthly payment that they require. CountryWide added all of those payments that I was making a month and that's what I was paying to the company. So, it was the same amount I was paying but I was getting to a settlement. They handled everything from there. I was in a three-year program. They were in charge of calling all the credit card companies and negotiating with them about getting a settlement.

    I received an email every month about how everything went and every time they settle a credit card, they send me a letter to get my approval on all the settlements. Then when I was almost at the end of the program, he called me and explained to me how everything worked. He was excellent and on top of everything. Even though my English is not very good, he always seemed to understand me and help me through the process. In three years, I finished paying all of it with the help of CountryWide. They helped me settle all the credit cards with all the credit companies and I felt relieved. I had a credit of $400 and they sent it back to me in a check pretty quick. I was very happy with them.

    There's the fact that I'm not going to get into anything in years but they explained all the process. I hope that within the year, this is not going to be a bad decision. Right now, it was a good decision. I will definitely recommend this company because it was really easy and I didn't have to worry. They discounted the money from my account directly every month.     I had a couple of debts that were due and I had seen CountryWide Debt Relief on television so I gave them a call. I made an initial deposit and then there was a payment plan for 18 months.     I was going past due on some bills and I wanted to consolidate some debt, and I went with CountryWide Debt Relief because of the reviews that I saw online. I had a conversation with them, they quoted me what they were able to do to consolidate and take care of outstanding and other debts that were on my credit report, and told me what kind of process it would look like and how much their fees were to go ahead and do that. They clarified that all within the first phone call. After that, they sent me documentation to sign in reference to what I was gonna expect, what their payment structure was gonna be and how to make those payments for them, so that they can assist with the payment process. They wanted to make sure it was within my budget, that it was something I was comfortable with, and it wasn't going to be overbearing.

    The negotiator was knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. They kept communication with either via mail or over the phone with the process of my debt consolidation.     Working with CountryWide Debt Relief to settle my debt has been a satisfactory and painless experience. I had an ongoing bill with Visa that had gone to legal. CountryWide was the first one to contact me. I thought if they can handle my debt then I’ll let them do it. CountryWide looked at all my bills, my mortgage, finances, and what I owed. Then, they set up a payment plan for three years and asked me if that would work. They also explained that it would be directly taken out of my account. They contacted an attorney and set me up with him. CountryWide went into court and handled the case.

    The first young lady rep that I talked to was pretty clear and matter-of-fact about CountryWide. She broke it down and told me how it goes. She answered my questions and was able to keep me up to speed on the process and where we were.     I was consolidating some debt and I had seen advertisements on CountryWide Debt Relief so I went with them. It took three years to complete and I made payments through direct deposit, a withdrawal from my checking account. They did good considering they’re on top of everything. Once they’ve settled with each creditor, they would call me and ask if I agree on the offer. But I didn't see any of my paperwork and I didn't know that after consolidating my debt, I was still gonna pay for the remaining of each debt. Say my debt in one of my cards was $10,000 and they settled for $5,000. Then the other $5,000 is written off to the creditor but the creditor sends it to the IRS. They didn't tell me that I’d still have to pay to the IRS the other $5,000 after consolidating my debt. The IRS took me back because it's considered money.

    CountryWide was good but they should have documented and notified me that that can or will happen. I was better off just paying my minimum payment and paying the IRS back than paying that $300 to them to do it. I wouldn’t do it again. And I wouldn't want anyone to go through with what I went through.

    CountryWide Debt Relief told me that they were going to have protective services and they were going to handle everything for me. So, I sent them my debt and they took care of it for me. They would inform or email me whatever I needed. They gave me a two-year settlement and they would just take it out of my bank account. The first negotiator that I worked with wouldn't get back to me when I called him. He was rude and wouldn't answer my questions. He kept it very brief and would hang up so I wouldn't even get a response. But, the last guy I had for the last couple of months would return my phone calls. He would respond back and inform me exactly what was going on.

    Their program got me out of debt. The last one I had to pay out of my pocket but they refunded me the money that they didn't use. But when I went to the bank to try to get a loan, they said that the process wasn't in yet. They didn't see that I was out of debt so I had to get some papers from CountryWide to email and prove that I wasn't in debt. Overall, I had a good experience with CountryWide but I recommend paying off your debt on your own instead of paying so much money.

    I was referred to CountryWide by a friend. They provided me with counseling and negotiations with the companies. Whenever the creditors would come calling me, I would refer them to CountryWide. The negotiator wasn't always the same person but most of my interactions with them were on a really quick phone call. There was very little work on my part.     I had a whole bunch of bills, and all the creditors were trying to get the money. Then some of them sent me a letter telling me to call this number. They wanted to fix my problem with my credit and they partnered with CountryWide Debt Relief.     Five years ago, we were looking to consolidate our bills and we talked to a few different companies. We felt the most comfortable with CountryWide Debt Relief and availed their services.     With the payment plan from CountryWide, we were a year ahead of time. The way they handled the debts were good, and everything was fair including the cost, the lawyer and the settlement. My debts are paid up. All I have are hospital bills because I've been having major back problems for years. And I just found out that I have a severe broken back in two places. And so here we go again into the hospital. But thank God that in turn my supplement will handle everything.

    The interaction with the negotiator was good except towards the end. I was disagreeing with the payoff, and they kept saying it was right and so I went ahead and made my final payment like they told me to, and then they sent me a refund check. They were promising that whoever took care of the bookkeeping or the balances would call me back. They never called me back, and that happened several times. I left voicemails also. I would call again and Manny would go over it again with me saying it's correct and everything. I would say, "Manny, it's not. I'm 66 years old and I know how to add and multiply." And he would say, "Well, let me contact them, and they'll get back with you by tomorrow." And nothing would ever happen.

    That was the only problem I ever had. I didn't have arguments or fights, just the disagreement on the payoff. Manny took care of all the things they said they would. But if a customer calls you, you should return the call. They need to improve on communication. But they handled everything professionally, all I had was a problem with the return phone calls, that's it. If a friend asked me about CountryWide, I would absolutely recommend them.

    It took me at least several years to pay all of my debts. I was being summoned because of my debts and then I got a letter from CountryWide Debt Relief saying, "If you need help settling your debt, we can help." Since I don't think I'm ready for a summon, I tried to do something. I am blind, I don’t work and I only get SSI. I started paying $368.13. That took a big chunk out of my check and I didn’t know how I'm going to pay my rent and everything. CountryWide Debt Relief worked with me and adjusted the price. There was one time when my payment didn’t go through, but they let me go ahead and pay the following month. Then when my rent went up last year, I have to tell them that and they were able to lower it down to $240 instead of $358.

    I felt comfortable working with the negotiators. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also said that as long as I kept making the payments, the creditors won’t come back at me again. They called me as well to let me know if there was another settlement made by the company. I just didn't feel comfortable with the fact that it took me a long time to do the settlement. The negotiators were pretty good with me. I think they worked with me even more because they knew that I wasn’t financially stable. Overall, people would enjoy the comfort in knowing that the folks here will definitely work with them. They can't go wrong by giving CountryWide Debt Relief a shot, especially if they’re in deep need of help. They won't charge you to talk to them.     CountryWide helped me clear my credit cards which I wasn't able to pay off because the interest is too much. I used to pay $400 a month. The CountryWide program helped me save a lot of money on interest rates. Working with them has helped me with my credit score and with not having bad marks on my credit. They also helped me in going to court. I didn't know how to go through that procedure on my own. They helped me out with the paperwork because I was handed some court papers or subpoenas for my bill and I sent them a copy of my court papers.

    I had to make payments to CountryWide, and then after that, they took care of everything else. I would pay them, and if I got any kind of mail, I would email it to them. My payment plan was automatic payment and went through my bank. CountryWide just gave me an amount and I didn't have a lot of choice in the amount. But I asked them to try to renegotiate a balance for me, and they did that. Then my payments ended and my debts were all taken care of. I finished the whole process and I didn't need them again after that. I was impressed with how fast and easy everything went because I had hesitated at first. I was lucky that everything went smoothly. CountryWide was good overall, and they were fast and reliable when I needed them. I would recommend them and tell a friend to try them. In fact, I've tried to tell a friend about the CountryWide debt relief program and I said that this program would be really helpful if they end up getting sued.

    I owe some money for credit cards and they were calling me. I reached out to CountryWide for a debt settlement program and I finished it. It was really good and the program helped me. However, the rep kept on saying that they were going to get my credit together and there's nothing wrong with my credit. I owe these people and I just forgot to pay them. And the rates are a little too high. They need to come down because people don't want to file for bankruptcy.     Everything was excellent with CountryWide Debt Relief and I'm very happy with them. I started with a different company. I didn't even have any lawyer representation and one of my customer's Discover card was going to sue me. The young lady at CountryWide told me, "We need to get things going here." So, we did and it's history. I'm now finished with my CountryWide debt consolidation and relief program. I got the house. My lady negotiator at CountryWide was really nice and took care of me. Every time that she needed some information from me, she would call me. It was three days before I had to appear in court for the Discover card, and within two days she had everything settled. Their lawyers took over and I didn't have to go to court. I'm so happy that my sister is doing the program with CountryWide right now. I've sent her to them. She's got a couple more years and she'll be done with her debts.

    My negotiator took me step by step in settling all my debts with four or five different debt companies, with the exception of Chase Bank. She called me for the last time on that Chase situation, to inform me that they wouldn't work with her. Chase was my bank and I dealt with those people for over 20 years. They were the only ones that didn't want to get paid off because they didn't want to wait. I called Chase and told them repeatedly, "I'll pay you for my debt. I'm earning $2,000." But the loan officer at Chase said, "No. We'll just put it in your record with the credit bureau and it will stay there for 17 years." After that, they sent me a 1099, which I got. I've taken care of it and I've paid for it, but it's still on my record with the credit bureau. But it's not affecting me because my credit rating right now is about 755.

    I looked CountryWide up online and read some reviews. There were six of them and were highly positive with CountryWide. And then the person I talked to, Kosh, was in one of the review comments. I went into the office and met him there. I sat down with him and laid out the forecast that I had. I gave him some of the paperwork and he copied it. And then I saw him the next day. He was very friendly and explained the program. He was awesome. And CountryWide is local (I live in Orange County and their office is in Santa Ana), so it made it easier for me to just go down there and talk to them one-on-one. There were a few other companies who sent me a bunch of stuff, but I thought that was more people just trying to run after me because there was a filing. I got served summons.

    However, when I tried to call the negotiator one time to ask why was it that more money was taken out for a fee for CountryWide Debt Relief on the third settlement than the previous one even though it had less of a settlement amount difference, the person I talked to said my negotiator wasn't working and that he would call me back. He never did, so to date, no one has called me back on that. The previous settlement was $3,000 less and they charged $500 for a fee. And the next one, they settled for $2,000 less but they charged me $750 for it. It wouldn't make sense. If the settlement is less, how come they would be able to have a fee that's more than the previous one? And that's the question I was looking at. I didn't understand what the difference was. And when I asked for clarification, the negotiator never told me.

    Then I found out a fourth one was settled not by negotiation but because the creditors just canceled that. That means that they got fees when they canceled the debt. So, they closed an account but then they charged me a fee for my creditor who cancelled the debt. I called back and said, "Hey, about this debt. I read the terms and there was no negotiation with the fourth creditor and they just canceled the debt. How would you be able to pick up fees?" And the rep's response was, "Well, we sent them power of attorney."

    Additionally, CountryWide should have said that when they do settle for less, the IRS considers that an income adjustment. So, I'm gonna be taxed on that. That left me owing $3,000 more in taxes and I didn't know that was gonna happen. That's been paid off. But now I got another $3,000 to be taxed on next year once they close it. CountryWide got me closing the accounts but if someone would ask me, "Would you recommend CountryWide?" I'm gonna tell them my experience like the negotiator didn't call me back and they ended up squeezing a heftier fee. And they will taxed by the IRS. So, the fee that they paid the IRS might end up being the same amount than if they just paid in full all the creditors on their own.

    Countrywide has lack of follow through and explanation midway and in the end. But they were customer-friendly at the beginning and sometimes thereafter. And there was one time when someone called me and said, "Oh, yeah, you got court days on some debt things." And so I called in the number to CountryWide and asked their rep to follow that number to ask what their business was but they hung up on her. So it was someone trying to get my information falsely. It was nice to have someone be able to check that.

    As with all clients, prior to enrolling with us you were given a proposal of what our expectations were to settle each of your creditors. Even with your active creditor lawsuit, we estimated that we would reduce your debts by $10,500 and that it would take 30 months to complete the debt consolidation program. It turns out we were able to obtain some fanatic settlements on your behalf and you were able complete our program in 22 months and we ended up saving you over $16,000. That's $5,500 better than the expectations that were given to you. Our client services team takes a lot pride in delivering better than expected results to our clients as we did in your situation.

    Upon enrollment, you were quoted that our service fees would be 18%, which happens to be the lowest in the industry, and that we wouldn't charge any service fees until the work was completed for each creditor that's exactly what we charged you. We are so sure that our fees are the lowest in the industry, we offer a price match guarantee that will not only match any competitor but will beat them by 10%. In some cases as was in yours, the savings on a smaller debt might be greater than perhaps a larger debt. In cases like that, we don't increase our fee. We simply pass those savings along to our clients.

    We agree with you that communication is important during a debt consolidation program. While it appears that there was lots of communication with our negotiators and client services team, we apologize for anyone that may have not returned any of your calls. That is not a behavior that we stand for. We typically ask our clients to contact client services for any inquiry because those requests or concerns are tracked and monitored with a ticketing system that ensures every one of those matters are resolved. Your feedback is very much appreciated as we are constantly looking to better serve our clients.

    In regards to your fourth account, upon entering our program our negotiator disputed the debt with the creditor. You provided our negotiator a settlement offer that the creditor sent you. At the time our negotiator felt like we could do better and was in contact with your creditor multiple times during the program and once your debt could not be validated, the entire debt was dismissed. As a result of us not accepting the offer you provided us, we saved you several thousands of dollars that we could have easily just paid out on your behalf. We will never take the easy path to just accept a settlement that we feel isn't in the best interest of our client. Our goal is to best serve our clients by attempting to achieve the lowest possible settlement which in some cases means having the debt canceled completely. As we disclosed to you in our agreement upon enrollment, when debt is canceled, you may be issued a 1099 by the creditor. While we don't give tax advice, it is important to remember that the amount listed on the 1099 is not the amount owed to the IRS, but it is the amount listed as additional income on your taxes. You would be taxed based on whatever tax bracket you fall in. We recommend to speak to a tax professional to figure out how much of that if any would be owed to the IRS. Even with the additional amount owed to the IRS, you still came out very much ahead.

    To get all my debts consolidated and become debt-free, I sought CountryWide's services. They were the first one that came up on the Yellow Pages, and I decided to go with them. They contacted all of my creditors and made settlement agreements. I only had two interactions with the people at CountryWide. The first one was with the intake person to find out how much and who all the creditors were. Then the second was to tell me how long it would be and the steps that they would take with the different creditors based upon the consumer law.

    And then, I got the letter saying, “This is what the payment will be to us,” and I made the monthly payment. I was concerned because I haven't heard anything, and they said, “Well, you just continue to make your payments and we're negotiating with your creditors. You don’t reach out to them. We do that for you,” which worked for me. The program got all of my debt paid off within 24 months. CountryWide's service was excellent, and the cost was right.     I got served with a court notice for a lawsuit and realized that I needed debt relief help, so I decided to send CountryWide an email. I made an agreement with them and they consolidated everything that I wanted to be taken care of. They then told me the plan, how long it would be and how much would be deducted every two weeks from my paycheck. I'm satisfied with them because they took care of what they needed to take care of and they always returned my calls. Working with them has been good for the most part.

    When I completed the program I had about $7,000 in my Global account and the last account that they were going to settle was about that much. Still, they said that I had to enroll in the program for another four months. I said "Wait a minute. That's another $4,000 and we're right there for the payment to settle the account. What do you need $4,000 for?" That was a lot of money and it was almost double what they could have charged me. But, they told me that they'll do this and that and law firms charged a lot. However, the lender ended up forgiving me and even though CountryWide didn't do anything, they still took a nice-sized chunk from my Global account. While they refunded me the rest, I still had to claim that whole amount in taxes when CountryWide only settled a debt.

    The person I interacted with at CountryWide Debt Relief gave me false information. My situation was once in a blue moon. It rarely happens that the case goes to trial.     I had $23,000 debt and wanted to get it settled. CountryWide was my only option at that moment so I went with it. They made over $4,500 before they even started settling anything on my card. Mary was great but she couldn't go much more than the program offered because she was following the protocols of the business. They charge money up front. Until they don't get the money, they would break it down into monthly payments. Then after they're done getting their money, they start working on something. And that could take up to six months or a year. They took off one late payment on one of my cards but all the other cards were still left as inquiries. So I wasn't happy.

    CountryWide is a ripoff. There are late inquiries on my account which already closed a long time ago. It was in 2006 and from $15,000, they settled it to $9,000. Other than that, there are so many other ways to do it. I'm calling the credit card companies on my own. You can go straight to the credit card and then just work with them. They're happy to do that with you. Mary was phenomenal, but the program itself wasn't. I wouldn't recommend the company.

But CountryWide was very flexible with me. I was paying my bill off but not under pressure with them like I was dealing with the bill collectors. I would call about four days before my bill is due and let them know that my payment was gonna be late or if I didn't have the whole payment. They would ask if I could send half and I would make sure half was there. What's so great was that they told me to go to Wal-Mart and put the money on the debit card and they'd deduct it from that debit card.

    I did everything by mail and it was hard but I was able to pull myself out of debt with them and through that time, they were flexible with me. I was paying my bill off but not under pressure with them like I was dealing with the bill collectors. Then I got a call from Countrywide telling me that I owed them $250. I let him know when the money was gonna be there and told him to send me a paper of completion once it was paid off and I made sure that money was in the account. About a week after that, my paper of completion came through the mail. Working with Countrywide was good and they're great. I kept the package that they mailed so if someone else needs that help, I can always relay that information to them.

    There was a chance that I was gonna get laid off from work. So, I wasn't gonna be able to continue paying the bills and needed to find an alternative solution. I found CountryWide and my interactions with the representatives were good for the most part. But I wish I would have gotten a little more information upfront like as far as how the process was gonna work and what I needed to do because the credit companies try to sue you because you're not paying them. Also, if I would've known that the bad credit was gonna stay on my credit history for seven years, I might have done things differently. But being able to take care of the debt definitely helped me.     I've had a very pleasant and non-stressful experience with CountryWide Debt Relief. I had people who had judgments against me for 3-5 years and I’d put a paycheck in my bank account and it’d be gone so I had to put a stop to that. It was tough at first. I had to pay $980 a month and my payment date was always on the 19th. They are always really helpful and positive every time I would call or talk to them to move payment from the 19th to the 29th.     We had a great experience with CountryWide Debt Relief. I was with another entity which didn’t have the lawyers that CountryWide had. As a result, some of the creditors were threatening to sue me. To get access to lawyers, they wanted to charge me $500 more. But I didn’t have that kind of money. So when CountryWide reached out to me, I said, “Well, I guess I better to do it,” and I have yet to regret it. It was either work with them or file for bankruptcy. I filed for bankruptcy over 10 years ago and it took me awhile to get straight from that. So I decided to take a different route.

    Aside from having their own layers, CountryWide also had a set price. So, it worked out really good with me. They let me know everything that was going on. I went to CountryWide and the first people I talked to were very helpful and nice. They didn’t sound like they were judging me at all. After I got the initial paperwork filled out, a rep called me every month and asked if everything was okay and if I heard from any of the debtors. He was great. I could call him anytime if I had a question and he and the other staff were very attentive to me and my problem. If I ever had to, I would call them again. I recommend them all the time.

    Now, I don’t have any more bills and I feel a whole lot better. As a matter of fact, CountryWide sent me some money back because I was all paid off before the end of the contract. Every month it was great. They’d send me e-mails and I could look up my account online. Anyone that has extra debt should call CountryWide. They could help almost anyone.

    I had crushing debt and I’d no way of getting past the amount that I owed. And so I looked into a relief help from CountryWide. I had a couple of times where I had to skip a payment and my interaction with that was great. Overall my interaction was good except for the summer when I called. ‘Cause I thought I was up in July and it turned out it was October and the people that I talked to were reasonably stiff. It felt to me like the customer care had changed a bit. But I’m glad it’s all over. I’m all paid up and it’s time to move on.

    I went online, trying to look at ratings of several debt relief companies. I had to go with CountryWide Debt Relief based on how they rated. At the beginning, I've had an interaction with a team member of theirs once or twice a week, depending on whether they closed a case or settled something. They'll call to let me know first if I agree to it or not. If I was okay with the parts that they wanted then they will make the decision. If I wasn't sure about something, they present me my choices and then they'll give me advice. They work on my question right on and I'll get either an email or call from them within less than 24 hours.

    They helped me a lot because they were really flexible. They told me how much I was going to pay monthly. When I told them that it was too much money, they tried to break down the payments. Everything worked out really well. I was able to come out of the hole. I think I did the right decision in working with them. They were really good help.
