I needed some money really quick so I could go ahead and move. I had seen some commercials of TitleMax on TV and on the radio. I obtained a title loan from them. I went in there. The rep had me fill out the application and asked me how much was my car's worth and how much I would want the title for. She went out and checked it and came back and sent all the information up and just waited for them, like their corporate office to approve it. Then they approved it and then she printed me out a check. She was really professional. She described to me when I needed to pay it, how much I needed to pay and if I couldn’t make the payments, to just call and let them know and they would try to work with me on some stuff. It was a good experience. I was in and out within 40 minutes.

TitleMax did an evaluation of my Mercedez Benz and told me what the amount I'm approved for. I got a title loan and the customer service reps were very courteous and polite. They explained in terms of the loan perfectly clear. The process took about half an hour and it was quick because I was able to get back to a meeting that I had to interrupt to take care of this business. Working with TitleMax helped me a lot to get out of situation where I needed the money right away. They were very helpful and have fantastic service and high-interest rate. People better be in a really big trouble to go and put the title loan on their vehicle with them.

While my first experience was fair, the second wasn't. For the first loan, I had a 2003 Ford and I was able to get over $7,000 from them. But, for the second loan, I have a 2009 Jaguar and it's brand new but they said that the mileage was a huge difference so they would only loan us $5,000. I thought that was very unfair.

All I will say is that this company is infested all over the lower income areas, they will target you and steal your money legally. They know you need the money so they will offer it to you with super high-interest rates! I've already paid the amount I borrowed plus some and I am nowhere near paying it in full. It's like it's designed for you to pay triple what you owe. I would urge you NOT to do business with them - it will put you in even more debt than you was before. Don't do it people! This should be fraud.

Also, the lending processor was very nice and they were really professional with me. I’m in between jobs, so I just borrowed a little bit and it helped me out. But when I got a car title loan five or six years ago, I got a $5,000 loan on the truck I had. And they said that they just passed a new law in Texas where if it’s the first title loan and if you pay it off within 30 days, they’re not allowed to charge you interest. That was in my husband's name and this would have been the first for me so I was trying to find out but they said they don't offer it anymore. It’s a 118% interest, no matter how long it is paid off. The interest rate doesn’t help but sometimes you got to do what you got to do. It's risky if you don't have the money but if you’re going to get out real quick and you’re sure, it’s an okay deal.

It's great to know there are still some businesses with common sense and professional courtesy in the US. I encountered one this week in Clinton SC. My dealings with Barbara and Destiny were extremely professional. Most of all was their air of friendliness. I was treated almost like a family member in need. I highly recommend that you stop by and visit with Destiny or Barbara to see if they can help you, or just drop in for coffee and a friendly hello from some super hometown folks.

At the end of last year, I invested $3,000 in a deal. Then I had to put $3,000 in my truck before I could go on a vacation in Las Vegas and Laughlin that I won and I spent some money. But I was okay because it's just me and Rambo, my dog. But I came back and then when we were at the dog park, I ended up with dogs. It cost money and I didn’t plan on it. And so, don't worry that if something happens you're gonna just lose the car.” And that helped a lot. And she also helped me figure up the interest, how much it was gonna be before I gave her the, “Okay, let's do this". She was very comforting, very helpful and very nice. I had already done the whole application two weeks before but I backed out. But it turned out I needed it and needed to go ahead and just do it. But I took a smaller amount and didn't take the full amount offered. But TitleMax is the way to go if you're going to get a title loan.

I already paid $640 and still owe more than what I borrowed! Last month when I went to make a payment my payoff balance was $1,269.90 and going in today my payoff balance went up $100. They told me they're on a "new system" which to me is BS because that is NOT the contract I signed and I have made every payment on time every month! People usually let these things go but I am definitely looking into taking some legal action since I do have a copy of the contract I signed and I never agreed to all these changes that they're making to my account. THIEVES. THIEVES. THIEVES. I'd rather starve than to ever borrow another $1 from them again!

Got a loan, when I redid the loan the loan officer misrepresented the conditions, they changed the conditions! To pay off a $500.00 loan with the evil conditions has cost me thousands! $73.00 a month was all interest. Nothing on the principal! The original loan was not like that, they changed it after I borrowed $200.00 more from them, the agent, I was told was fired that did the transaction, also they were supposed to work with me. TitleMax seemed like one of the big names. I thought there would be less problems and less things to go through. The process was awesome and a lot easier than I thought it would be. Mike was friendly too. He explained everything well to me and made it easier. I got a $500 car title loan and then he told me I could get up to $2000. He said yes and they did a process where they called someone but somehow it went down overnight such that I couldn’t get the $2000 anymore. He was mad about it though. He fought for me, called his boss and got it figured out within five minutes. So that was cool. He actually seemed like he cared. He wasn’t just trying to take my car and get my money. Plus, we were able to get everything right then and not have to wait so the loan helped a lot.

Whenever I went to get this "loan" from this horrid place I was UNINFORMED that the entire loan had to be paid in 30 days and if not the "minimum payment" that you make when it comes to the due date does not add on to the principal amount of the loan it is just interest. Not only that, that last time I called I spoke with a RUDE lady who refused to give me her name and help me. Once I spoke to the lady I asked her how long it was for. She said it depends on how much more you pay over the $600 a month. The $600 was a fee. People loan sharks in New York don't charge this much. I am going to take them down. By the way I found a way to get a loan at a credit union, and have $150 per month, and have about a year left because I paid extra. TitleMax is as crooked as they come and need to be dealt with.

We went the next day and had that repaired and then went back and resubmitted it and I was able to get another $600. The process was extremely painless but their payments are almost unreasonably high. I'm looking at little over $2,000 and the payment on it is $272 a month. More money goes towards the interest and none for the principal. Other than that everything at the branch was fantastic.

I had to take a lesser amount and it took a little longer to get the process done. The process was about an hour and 15 minutes but could’ve been faster. Still, the loan helps out at the moment but I got to work harder now and longer to pay the loan back.

I went out there, they check out my car, I did the paperwork to the computer with the terms and agreement, and they said that they had to get their money on time. I signed the contract, they gave me a check and I was out the door in about an hour. I just gave the processor my key and she checked my mileage herself and took pictures. She did a very great job. TitleMax helped me accomplish what I needed and I paid them back in time because they’re charging a whole lot, it's outrageous. Nonetheless, everything worked out. My experience with TitleMax was all right. They could have given me a little bit more money for my car for what it was worth but it was fair.

TitleMax's website quoted me a very good loan price. But when I got to their office, the loan I got was three grand less than what their website's minimum would be which was a 29 at the low, and 59 at the high. In the end, I got 1,400 so I'm not a satisfied customer. It would be better for me to go on other places, but it was too late to attempt it. Other than that, the girl I worked with was very pleasant. She said the amount was low and even recommended that if I had time, I could go somewhere else. Then, when I got the check, I couldn't cash it because people didn't want to accept it since they changed their checking format. So, somebody accused me of a fraudulent check and it wasn't fun. It took me two days to cash the check, until I finally got to Wells Fargo bank. But they also almost accused me of fraud. So, the customer service reps of TitleMax in front were great. But their people in the back were horrible and misrepresenting their services.

You’re definitely going to be missing out on a lot of stuff in your life. This is one of those things that they put in a poor community, to keep us poor.
