    I recently renewed my subscription for my laptop and mobile devices, but it wasn't allowing me to update for my mobile device and kept stating that I only have 14 days left of service.     Total Defense works so well, I forget it is there. But I got a new laptop computer to use in another room, and then wondered why it had an Exclamation Mark beside the fact that it was covering that computer. I called customer service and Carlos explained to me that I had to sign in on the new laptop to get it really recognized by Total Defense. I went to the new laptop and did that and now I don't have to worry about it. I do paid my Mediacom bill automatically each month and that provides the Total defense.     When using the program I logged into it and got down to a message that indicated I had never run a scan. This conflicted with my home page (no log in) which indicated that everything was OK. I called support for help. They told me that the product was separate from the product I had purchased from Staples. That was the reason for getting the message "never scanned". That is confusing.

    Was having trouble installing mobile version of Total Defense but it wasn't accepting the product key. Aaron assisted me and was quite patience with me.     I received a notice that my card had been denied for an automatic payment to Total Defense. A new card had been sent to me, so I entered that information on their site, only to be told it was declined. I called the credit card company, to learn they had flagged the transaction as fraud. Once I assured them that I had made the transaction, they removed the fraud title, and the payment was honored.. I immediately called and talked with Aaron again to let him know that the problem had been resolved. He checked to let me know that my payment had, indeed been approved.     I saw my newest computer wasn't scanning but knew I'd installed TD, or thought I had. Apparently, I had installed the wrong TD, so the device wasn't scanning as I thought and was not showing up on the list of devices on an older computer, which listed more devices.     Security for me has been compromised a few times. Since installing Total Defense I feel 100 percent safe. Over the weekend, Sunday specifically (11/24/2024), my Total Defense account wasn't working. I feel very unsafe without it. I called the next morning, and Dan answered the phone. I am not tech-savvy, however, he was so patient and walked me through the steps to take to resolve my issue. As we spoke, I was having difficulty redownloading the app, so I had to get off the phone to attempt a restart.

    Dan assured me no problem and I could even call back and ask for him. His advice and walkthrough resolved the subscription issue and I called back to tell him thank you and it certainly worked. Dan is an exemplary representative as well as a model employee of any company. What an asset. I love Total Defense for the security it gives me, and I love this company even more with the compassionate and well-demeanored persons like Dan that answer on the other end of the phone.     After completing my renewal payment, there was no indication that I needed to do anything further to complete the renewal process. But my installed software continued to indicated that I needed to renew. I called Customer Service and was initially told that my renewal was incomplete because my payment had been rejected. When I told the CSR that my payment had cleared and I had an email specifying as such, the CSR researched further and told me the error on his part and then proceeded to tell me how to complete the renewal on my PC. Why are there not better steps or information on how to complete the renewal if there is action on my part to be completed. Really frustrating and disappointing.
