No international service. Charged me $1400 to pay off my cell phone stating they then could unlock the eSIM so I could get a SIM card that work internationally to then be told, "Oh yeah we can’t unlock until you’ve been with us longer."

I only had the service for a few months. I always paid my bill, but the price was high! The service was not great in my area. On my last bill of 7 dollars. I was charged a 7 dollar fee. So glad to never have to deal with USCC again!

⭐ 1 Star. Nothing but issues with US Cellular. Billing errors, poor communication, and inconsistent information from customer service have made this one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with a wireless provider. Most recently, my line was manually suspended without my request, and when I asked about it, customer service admitted there was no record or notes showing I ever asked for the suspension. Yet I was still charged for the service. I’ve had to spend far too much time chatting and calling just to get basic answers. Customer service representatives often contradict each other, and resolving problems feels like pulling teeth. Issues that should be simple take days (or longer) to sort out, if they get resolved at all. I would not recommend US Cellular to anyone looking for reliable service, transparent billing, or dependable customer support.

Been a US cell customer for over 20 years, had problems with service that have gotten worse lately, called tech support- their advice, leave us cell and get service somewhere else. Refused to turn in a ticket, said would write a "report" they could look at later. I know multiple people in my area are having same issues as well. So even by us cellular's advise do not use them.

I've been with US cellular for years... Now the service is extremely poor... Got a new phone when it said 1000.00 off any phone... That didn't happen... I was lied to.. My bill was 199.00 a month and 3 weeks later it went to 205.00... I'm trapped in a contract now..but when it's over I will be gone from US cellular... Beware of what you are getting into when you go to US cellular for a phone.

I wish I could leave negative stars, I would. We've been with US Cellular for at least 15 years. I believe they sell you blemished phones because every phone we've ever received was junk. They rely on you using wifi data because their internet is like dial-up instead of 5 G. The Only reason we stay is we're waiting for the day a new carrier comes into our area that has service. Stay away from US Cellular.

Today I was assisted by Stixx ** at the New Berlin store. I am a 75 y/o woman who is not very tech savvy and she treated me with the utmost patience and respect. I purchased a new cell phone and she transferred my service from Spectrum to US Cellular. She moved everything from my current iphone to the new android phone that I picked out. She patiently answered all my questions. My contacts list wouldn't transfer, so she copied my contacts to my new phone, saving me untold time in copying it myself. I can't remember the last time I had such good customer service. Thank you, Stixx, for making this a very pleasant experience.

Tolly at the Rock Island Il office helped me. He did really well with explaining everything and when the sale was done said if I needed anything to call. He even came out to my car to help me get it hooked up. I was very happy with my new phone and his service.

With the sell out to T-Mobile I was told my bill would go up around $20 a month so I got a new provider with a much better deal. Us cellular sent me a bill for my monthly payment due, I called and found out they do not prorate but charge you the full amount even though they are not rendering service! Seems illegal to me but it's hidden in their service agreement. After 17 years of service this is the treatment I get? So glad I left them once I found out they will steal your money.

Stay away from this company, their app has flaws and bugs and will display “0$ due Dec 1st” etc and then say you are negative after the first and charge late fees and extra fees (bill went from 210 to 276). Definitely not worth it. This company blows. I will be switching once I pay the phone off the minute I do.

I normally don't leave a review but the problem with this company is too bad to ignore. Do not do business with this company. I was quoted one price, but never has it. Been that price. They will not honor the quoted price at the time of sale. They tack on fees. Policy fees, late fees, suspended fees. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else.

My experience with UScellular has been frustrating from start to finish. The product quality hasn’t lived up to the promises—they advertise reliable coverage, but in reality I’ve dealt with spotty service in areas where coverage was supposed to be strong. Customer service hasn’t been any better. Every time I reached out for help, I was transferred multiple times, given inconsistent information, or left waiting for answers that never came. Representatives were polite enough, but nothing was actually resolved. Simple issues felt like a never-ending loop with no real support. For the price they charge, I expected far more in terms of reliability and accountability. Based on my experience, I can’t recommend UScellular. There are other carriers who offer better service, better support, and far less hassle.

The service is awful. I had been with them for 28 yrs. The last yr or so has been horrible. No service at my house. Would have to get in my vehicle and drive several miles to get service. Everyday was spotty. Never new if my phone would work. I had 5 different lines with them. None of them worked properly at all. Service sucked. So I left after all those yrs. They use to be very good. Not anymore. Uscellular is terrible.

We went in for the 190 a month program and they were going to pay off all our phones from AT&t. We went in and signed up two months ago we are still waiting for the check to pay off her old phones, and our first monthly bill is $242 instead of $190. So as of this moment their campaign appears to be fraudulent to me and the salesman sat there and told me it would be $190 a month and that will include insurance. Also now they are advertising that same program for $90 a month and I asked him about that and he said that doesn't include the insurance on the phone but yours does for the 190 yet it was still $242. So don't believe anything they say. I was going to buy my Wi-Fi through them if they had come through on any of this stuff but I am going to switch to Whisper internet instead.

Prices go way up after the promotion and they do not have any promotions to encourage people to stay. Don’t fall for the $90.00 promotion. I thought I would give UScellular a chance. The connection is poor for wifi.

WARNING: FRAUDULENT INTERNET SERVICES. UScellular advertisement for high speed and unlimited data 300mbps based on 341 BBB complaints verified scam. The actual speed is 8mbps to 100mbps. When contacting customer service you are placed on hold 1-3 hours. You will be instructed to restart your router this will not work. They will replace your router. This will not work. They will give you a Sim card that will not work. The UScellular contract states that you can return the equipment within 11 days if it will not work. This is fraudulent as you will be instructed that you can't return your equipment and cancel your service until you pay $500. Lesson learned to always read the BBB complaints before signing the contract.

Bait and switch, they tell you your bill will be one thing and it's not, the promise to remove cost of hook up, and other. Not true DO NOT Believe!! Then they tell you they will buy out your phones takes 7 to 10 days, not true still waiting After taking my bill to the US Cellular to help me do it and he said not a problem and copied my bill from previous cell company and sent it in. 3 weeks later said they send an email need more info, US Cellular and me sent the whole bill, I can't give them anymore info that they received on the bill that I sent them. I regret switching, I have never changed services, I don't trust this company.

I have US cellular. I am barely able to connect to write a review. I am very rarely ever able to use Safari to look up basic things on google. I need my phone to speak with physicians and make important calls. I consistently am losing service, dropping calls. Looking for a different carrier!

I have been a customer for over 20 years and have never been more frustrated with this company than I have been over the past few years. Promotions are not as they are described when changing plans. Two bills printed in one month due to 20-day billing cycle, is how they set mine up and can't seem to change it, in order to get my promotions. 3 free accessories are not free as stated when purchasing new plan, and my calls drop often, even under the "BEST Wifi" package, that you must pay extra for. Yes! There is a good, better and best package for WIFI now. I'm continuously on the phone with this company spending an hour at a time on the phone, and each time I call it's totally a different outcome. No one seems to be knowledgeable about resolving issues with plan, or even the total due when I call in due to promotion issues. Frustrated and disappointed is an understatement! I feel like everything is a hidden fee with US Cellular now!

I have been a loyal visit customer for years. I really hate having to get a new phone. Told one thing in the store and the opposite happens. "Oh your bill will go down not up." Bull! "No activation fees," Bull! So over them! The new customers are treated better and get better deals. How about taking care of loyal customers? If we just didn’t get new phone, we’d be gone. Next time we’ll go elsewhere.

Absolutely unreliable and a waste of money. I installed in a vacation home. After working for 2 months it only worked intermittently. Customer service was useless!! I canceled after 9 months and kept getting billed. The worst experience of my adult life with a company.

This is now the fourth time I've tried to resolve unwarranted charges on my plan. I finally talked to someone in the "escalation" team who was incredibly rude, talked over me, and then hung up on me as I was trying to explain my problem. I had brought my phone to Europe but kept it shut off except for jumping off internet connections in my hotel room. I was charged $15 per day I was there even though I never made a call or texted. They are scam artists and their customer service is even worse. STAY AWAY!

I pay $272 a month for 4 lines, dropped calls, calls that won’t go through, texts may or may not be sent/received, it’s hit or miss if the apps will load. I use my phone to clock in/out of work and have trouble clocking in/out 50% of the time because I’m offline while my phone shows I have 5G. I wish I hadn’t added the two extra lines in May and signed a contract. I also am still paying installment payments on a “free” phone. Customer service in store says they will work on it and call me back. Never get a call from them. Online customer service has no solution other than to keep turning my phone off for two minutes and turn it back on and put it on airplane mode for 2 minutes which may or may not temporarily help is extremely problematic when I have a 10 minute clock in window. Can’t even open the USCELLULAR app.

Nothing but lies and double talk. VERY RUDE STAFF at Beaver Dam Wisconsin store. Purchased phone on 10/20/23. Set up phone plan with my own phone number. 3 Days no phone service, the associate had assigned a new phone number and did not inform me. So I had no service for 3 days, went back in, had to get ahold of the. Regional manager because of the stupidity of the people at the store on Spring Street in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin unqualified, not trained. They sit around and play with their phones all day long.
I went in, the regional manager was there. There were 4 people playing on their phone. No customers in the store. 4 People standing right there playing with your cell phones when I was explaining to the manager, might my anger. These associates were all videotaping me. Intimidating me, did not care for that. It's supposed to be a communication company. I was communicating with the regional manager. One of the associates, it started getting very mouthy unacceptable. The billing is a nightmare. Beware of US Cellular. If you're on it, get the hell out of it.

Liars and cheats. I ported 3 numbers out, paid all my phones in full. I used 1 day of the month and got charged for the full month for all 3 phones $354 because I used 1 day of the billing cycle, because THAT'S THEIR POLICY. These billion dollar corporations love screwing hardworking people. Go to Spectrum, they are $30 a month. Then I only have 2 lines now and I get charged $1000. I call in and the customer service guy can't figure out why that is and they had to create a ticket to have it looked into. I hope that other people who have this happen to them report them to the FCC. I paid 17 payment on my phone at $50 a month and then paid $967 to pay it off in full and then they charge me again for that same phone number for the same amount again. I will end up suing them if they don't take that charge off. Do not go with this company. They will screw you!

US Cellular Home Internet is unstable, intermitting and pathetic. Charter Com at least is stable and consistent for a high price. If you are trying to get to a platform, good luck with USC. On a scale 1 to 5. I give UCS barely a 2 rating. They shouldn't be allowed to market this junk.

USC is a company that needs to treat their customers better! I got service for in end of July but had to cancel in Sept 12, 2025 for bad service. Paid $187 for my first bill (July-Aug). Just paid my second $199 for (Sept). Now, I have one more bill for some reason. Could not get service in my one-level office building. I guess 500+ is good for 2 months of cell service!

Been with them for 10 plus years making my payments the same way every month because I get paid once a month. Now I need a half payment before extension when this is the first time hearing this and still wouldn’t give me the extension when that is their fault that I’m just hearing this. To know that they don’t even value a customer they had over 10 plus years is mind blowing paying well over $300 a month for my phone lines. Now if this has been like this for years nobody has told me and I would have been willing to abide starting the next month because I know now and they still won’t trying to hear it. RATHER PAY THE HIGHER RATES AT VERIZON.

I wanted to switch to US Cellular from Verizon because of price. It has taken over a month, 3 times I had to get the transfer code, I was told I need this this and this. Oh no you now need this number. Finally, today the switch is happening, oh no it's not we have been without phone service for going on 7 hours. I will pay the extra for Verizon. This is the stupidest thing I have had happen to me in 30 years of business.

Helping My brother and offered to pay off his contract in full and the late fees are astronomical, not to mention intentionally hung up while we just wanted to cancel the service and pay off the difference. Currently seeking legal financial issues on it. I can not recommend this company less! They will compound your late fees to actually thousands and will hurt your credit potentially. There is no other cellular company that I have dealt with from a financial professional standpoint that has been more unreasonable to deal with! You’re better off with other prepaid plans literally anywhere else.

First couple of years it was great. Affordable. Decent service. But for the last 2 years, we've felt like we have been big box scammed. Hard to log in and pay your bill/check status. Spotty service in 90% of the places we go...A new phone's don't change anything. As a matter of fact my wife has the original phone from day 1 and she gets better service than my new phone. Tech service is not helpful with solving the problem either. I understand the new corporate merge and everything, but it has been longer than a couple months that this is going on. We've been searching for a new carrier but we live remotely and it's pretty difficult to get solid service that's not expensive. At this point we're just gonna do a pay-as-you-go because it's cheaper and you get better service!

US Cellular for me was nothing short of Bait & Switch tactics. I was very disappointed with the billing. I was told $50.00 per month with free equipment during a special promotion. My first bill was $169.00. I canceled the service, returned the equipment after 3 days with a 15 day trial period. I have been receiving numerous email tell me what all they are going to do to me, etc. My suggestion is to STAY CLEAR of this Company.

If I could give 0 stars, I would give it to this company because they are the worst cellular company in the entire US. I'm a frequent traveler, and I requested them to temporarily unlock my phone for a few days, and when I come back after my trip, they could lock it back in. However, they refused and asked me to use their international travel pass, which is $100 or a $15 daily pass. This is ridiculous. I was with other cellular carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon, and I never had this issue. They always unlocked my phone, and when I came back, they put the lock back in. Please do not use US Cellular. I'm going to move to another cellular carrier. They are just losing customers because of their bad service and unsatisfied customers.

If you pre-pay on a month-to-month service and then cancel they will keep your money as they did mine $121, gone just because I’m a senior. I wanted to upgrade from a flip phone to a smart phone however, their policy does not allow this. So I went to another carrier. Left US cellular. I then called US cellular and tried to get the money back that I had prepaid on a month-to-month program and they said, "Sorry sucker you’re a senior. We ain’t giving you your money back because we know you won’t fight it."

I switched from Verizon to Us Cellular because it was supposedly cheaper. After about a month I checked my bill so I could pay it, it said $0 and I thought that was weird so I called customer service and they told me that my bill was correct so I went on about my day. About 2 weeks later I get a bill update on my account for $650. For one month is outrageous, I called to see what was the problem, they charged me for two months of service, which isn't my fault because they never changed my account the first month so I could pay it, I couldn't even pay it over the phone! So charging me for two months because they never updated my account is disgusting.
Not to mention I have terrible connection majority of the time, I have unlimited data on my phone and tablet and I always have to be hooked up to WiFi because the connection is just never there. Which brings me to their wifi, this is the worst wifi I've ever had in my life, and I've only been alive for 19 years! The first week worked fine, then all of my zoom calls for classes and work started dropping, I couldn't complete an assignment without restarting my laptop every 10 minutes, and my TV just became unwatchable.
I call them to see what the deal was because supposedly I would have great connection because theirs a cell tower right down my street. The woman looks at my account and goes "oh you've reached your 700GB, the usage slows down once it's over the limit." Excuse me? I've never heard a wifi box having limited data, and then told me to not connect my phone or tablet, and to set my TV to the lowest quality to save data. Then followed up with, "If you want to add more GB to your plan it would be $10 for 100GB." I ended up paying it because it was finals week and I couldn't afford for my finals to close on me because my wifi wouldn't connect. My advice get anything but this company, it's genuinely a scam. If I could I would switch but then they'll probably charge me a college tuition if I left.

They do not like letting you switch to another plan. They have the worst customer service ever. They like to threaten turning you into collections. I will never ever consider doing business again with US Cellular. I've had a very extreme hard life as it is and they made it 20x unnecessarily worse. I would never do business in the Concordia KS store especially. I would also never deal with the headquarters ever again either. I paid the final bill yesterday even though I feel they double billed in the end because of the rudeness they gave. I specifically asked when paid with credit card if was done and they said yes and yet still had another bill after the fact. How dumb is that. And the final bill didn't even show amount was saying what I really owed. How inconvenient that was.
The only way I could pay was check in mail. How dumb is that. They charge extra to pay with credit card. They said next bill I would get would have a late fee. I feel bad for people that are using US Cellular. They didn't need to be this way. Now they keep emailing to try and get my service back. No way.

This is the worst scheme Company I’ve ever ever been with. They make you buy 10 GB of data. Once your hundred gigabytes runs out you can’t buy anymore. You can’t even pay for unlimited and 100 GB only last till the 15th of the month and will not replenish. Do not absolutely do not do not buy a phone with these guys. Do not buy a phone with these guys if you’re a business.

In July 2025 I purchased an Apple 16 iPhone. Just a few days ago I couldn’t call out or have incoming calls and send or receive messages, I called AT&T service which I have and they said US Cellular locked my service because apparently someone reported this phone that I purchased new from Apple was stolen or lost and just had for a month. I called US Cellular and they said yes they had that S/N that is on my phone and it is lock so I asked them to unlock it and they said they couldn’t so I called Apple, they wouldn’t exchange my new phone but are working w/ US Cellular to try and fix the problem. Anyone else have this STUPID problem and what happened????

This is the worst cell phone company. Worst service ever.!!!! They charged me twice for my bill this month. (152.99) I've called several times to get my bill explained to me because each month it's different. I pay a 150.00 a month for this service which is totally ridiculous!!! Last month my bill was 160.00, went in for them to explain it to me and they couldn't. So I'm doing away with this OVERPRICED BULLSHIT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND US CELLULAR!!!!

You would think they would treat the prepaid accounts better. They get their money in advance. But no you get the cheap phones and still have to pay for them. Contract you get any phone for free. Should get better deals when you prepay for something not punished.

Got US Cellular for wifi in my apartment because it was the only option when we started the lease. It has been, by far, the absolute worst wifi I have ever had the extreme misfortune of having to use for an extended period of time. To say it's useless would be the understatement of the century. I genuinely feel like I would be better off using early 2000s dial-up. I wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy.

We go through this crap company we are literally a certain amount of dollars behind and I asked for an extension! From the beginning I asked for the date of the 15th and they only would give me the 7th! I contacted them prior to the 7th and asked for more time since I didn’t get the date I need to begin with! This person wouldn’t help but then at the end gave me until the 9th! Even though I asked again for the 15th! I contacted them again today on the 8th and called to a supervisor she would help at all either unless they got their money! Wouldn’t give me the date I needed at all but will ask to get more money!
I have a daughter that needs medication and needs shipped and I’m not going to be able to get it because this company wouldn’t help me at all! My daughter is going to become sick without her medication but that supervisor didn’t care and neither does this company as long as they get their money! I will be paying these phones off and transferring to a different company! Save yourself the headache and stress do NOT come to this company!

So they used to be the best around but a little expensive, kind of why I switched. Now they are just expensive and almost scamming people, starting with $34 a month in carrier fees that show up after first bill. They do not stand behind anything they say after you are a customer, bring your own phone. Good luck, they will say it's eligible, then after you get it unlocked from your carrier and you are stuck then they say you have to get a new phone. Something happened, it won't transfer over. They don't give credit for trade-ins, no matter how new any modems or anything you get from them. They will not accept back, you have to pay them for it, regardless if you are using it or not.
Their billing is a hot mess, they can't even explain it to you properly!!! They pretty much say just pay it. Then I tried to pay off my installment plan to switch, finally to be done with this hell!! So I paid the full amount due and the full amount of installments I had left directly online and even they said, "Yup you're all paid off" and tried to get me a new phone. I said, "No let's unlock my number so I can switch 😁" .....Then all of a sudden ..."Oh there's still a invoice out there with an installment plan payment on it, you have to pay that off, it wasn't included." After they just told me it was paid off and online also said it was!! It's like a never-ending bad divorce!! Do not get cell service with them, I would rather use a rotary phone than deal with them!!

I got a $900 promotion for trading in my current phone. I completed the online paperwork and the projected new account balance reflected the promotion. I received some documentation not showing my promotional credit and called U.S. Cellular. They said this is normal and the promotion will be reflected on my bill. I received my bill and I see I am being charged an installment for the new phone. I call U.S. Cellular and they say they cannot find the promotion nor can they find the documentation I agreed to depicting the billing breakdown of the account balance. If you are an existing customer and need to upgrade your phone, do not fall for the same trap I fell for, change to Verizon, T-Mobile etc.

We had their internet service and it was getting pretty bad. Took the router back and was told that I needed a new router. Of course their router costs $400.00. The manager yelled across the store that if this didn't work then I would need to find another provider. We tried the new router and at the same time contacted several other internet providers to see if we could get their service. We live in the middle of nowhere. I finally found a company that stated if they could adjust their station on the tower I would be able to get their service.
I set up the install and went to cancel US Cellular internet. Went to the local store and was told I need to pay off the router. I was angry at this due to the fact that you can go on Amazon and get the same router for $70.00. The guy at the store could not cancel my service. I would have to call customer service. I asked why was he there then. His reply is, "We are only here for sales." Needless to say I was not happy. I have cancelled my service but beware if you need a router to check Amazon first. US Cellular is a rip off!

UScellular phone company is a straight getover. We pay device protection all year and when it's time to use it they say you have to pay a deductible. The bills are getting outrageous. I'll bet they don't even use UScellular. People this company been ripping us off for years. This company is a complete scam people. The service don't work in Raleigh Durham areas. They don't never give back to under privileged communities. They just take.

What an insult to the US for using the US in the US Cellular name of their cellular company. US Cellular Prepaid uses a South American country for its customer service. Then you ask for a manager from the USA and that is impossible to solve major issues cause the 2 customer service reps you had first speak English as a second language at best. Every time I call, I can't understand 60% of what they say. Why do all customer service reps from South America always say NO WORRIES during the conversation? Maybe no worries for you but obviously for me, there are a ton of worries. They sound so stupid saying no worries. I would not be calling if I had no worries. How about using customer service reps from the USA, U** Cellular?

The internet speed are non-existent. I had my service with them for years and it consistently went down hill. Constant issues with their tower. I purchased a booster and upgraded equipment, nothing worked. Less than 5MB download speed and less than 1MB upload. Lost a lot of money and then was told that I had to pay off their crappy equipment if I wanted to cancel my service. They advertise high speed for streaming, gaming, etc. They lie.

Should be against the law to be able to sell phones and a service plan and provide no reliable signal, burner phones from Dollar store has more signal, have been a US Cellular customer for over 25 years, just upgraded to a newer phone because sales person said it would get better since, didn't happen, I live in the Joplin Missouri area and places can't even make a call, display says phone not registered to a network.

Last month I paid double on one of my accounts (which was in good standing for 30 years), so on April 22 I got a bill in the mail for one cent. I paid that by personal check, sending it through US Mail on the same day I got the bill. It is now May 5th and it hasn't been cashed. Instead I got texts saying my account is past due. The bill-pay feature over the phone said I need a balance of at least $5.00 to proceed. So I called US Cellular, trying to talk to an agent to get the penny paid over the phone. The agent sent me a website to do so. I said no, I want it resolved over the phone. It ended up costing me $7.01 in all, with $7.00 for the phone call. Bad business!! Don't go with US Cellular. I have an account with Verizon as well, and they don't screw you like this.

My wife has 3 lines, but is only using one of them. She has to go into the store to suspend the 2 she is not using every 90 days and they can't or won't tell her when the next suspension has to occur so she ends up making several trips because she can't resuspend them if they are already suspended. Common sense says she should be able to permanently suspend them.

I was a loyal customer for years. Another company offered better service for cheaper price. US Cellular has made me pay for an entire month service when they turned my phone off as soon as I switched. I used their service for 8 days of the month and had to pay for 31 days. I never got a refund for all the times I had dropped calls or no service. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company and will not be going back.

I bought a Motorola G play in full, phone says financed or subsidized scrolling across screen, administrator control belongs to a company called Telecoms client. I cannot disable or remove app. US Cellular says it is a pre installed app that Motorola installed and they can't do anything about it and Motorola says it is a us cellular installed app. It has access to everything on phone all features. Also it can lock phone, change passwords, everything and it will not let me install vpn or anti hacking software. So it seems I have been stuck with a Motorola phone that has spyware installed, brand new from US Cellular with no help from either companies.

So have had UScellular for 15 years and was Walmart prepaid cause convenient and at that time best phone for Northern California mountains and was their towers as well. And walmart only place to get special low frequency wave phone to work in my town. In 2022 believe offered more data for less so of course did but was told was to get new user agreement to benefit them to change whenever wanted and no notice with so called unlimited. Was a lie and lasted couple weeks better slowing to a crawl Making it unusable and was told needed plan now and upgrading yet again and new phone was reason. But feel real reason cause sold off parts of corporation.
Now couple years later sold more last May. So upgraded prepaid plan and yet still runs out of unlimited week before cycle. Now since may it's utterly useless. Spotty signal. Can't use any big city. They leased or only manage towers Now and leave customers last and horrible coverage. Every single person know near me same issue. Worst thing is I purchased most expensive phone thinking would help and had security lock and pin that not single person knows how to get and been without a phone 1 to 2 days several times cause they said may take more time to activate but it's a security cause expensive phone so doesn't get stolen which weird cause in locked cabinets have to hold up or break in to steal.
And told by 11 tech support will solve if do their step but it does activate and go on their network. It's a phone itself lock and have spent over 20 hours and now spite got me Taking it to court and researching all their catch 22s pointing fingers and circle loops sending me on knowing will give up. Yesterday legal, report issue dept, ethics, customer support reps all hung up on me. So started recording and not won't help or speak to me. I had lawyer submit complaint in writing and Waite the 60 days to reply and they didn't still. Just to speak to mediator they hired to be side with them. So not even and asking for huge sum of money to make official to solve issue. Which already know speaking to their 3rd party nothing will happen.
So now spent so much time and energy to not be taken for corporation's throwing loop after loop and representatives that say can't do single thing ever but send to someone else and today was told the phone was not found n d sold by someone else when a walmart plan and expired receipt I. Hand of stores customer service made in unscramble anymore putting either water or sweat or heat on barcodes. So if have had phone go to crap since selling and leasing towers. Please call class action lawyers to make them pay for their greedy ways and website that sends to in looks to complain or have middle management look.
Seen 1000s of people with same phone and also unless 100s of them on eBay going for next to nothing when we paid for most expensive android on market. And millions with the slow phones that changed terms and conditions or mislead us thinking had to upgrade but was their Taking speed away not phone or plans.

They were very professional, very friendly and all of the above. They fixed my phone and it is much faster. I have been with US Cellular for 22 years and plan to keep it that way. This service has been incredibly unreliable lately. I experience frequent interruptions, which is very frustrating. The connection constantly cuts in and out, making it difficult to use. For the price I'm paying, I expect much better service. I hope this issue can be resolved soon. I wouldn't keep it but on a contract!!! It really sucks.

Hi my name is Daniel **. I live in around the area not too far off from US Cellular of Marion nc and I think it is great and at the price is right. The store has a wait line for them all the time at my time period to pay bills but it is worth every single dime and penny that it requires to ensure the liability of a phone plan with u.s. cellular. I enjoy my service with them and the people are friendly to me when I pay u.s. cellular in the store at u.s. cellular of McDowell county💸 💸 💸 💸. When I use my phone I don't have to worry about statistics so that way when I use my phone luckily I just got a new one and updated my plan which is good. I got good ratings with the store and I encourage others like myself to use it and going in to pay them is better because they are good at heart people inside.
I enjoy it every time and hate it when I have to sit in my vehicle/car due to I am handicapped/disabled. The service is good. I've only had one or two dings where I couldn't get service but it was revised and took note of and resolved that same minute the place is clean and respectful at u.s. cellular of Marion North Carolina. I do not mind going inside. They seem to have good air inside and it suits me.

I've used UScellular for over 10yrs. I live in a rural area and they were-still are-the only cellular provider in the area that has consistent coverage where I live. Used to, anyway. Once they made the switch to 5G, their connectivity and data went downhill fast. The service coverage area shrank significantly, to the point where I can have full service with 5G, then travel a block down the road and it drops to two bars with little to no data. They overcharge for crappy service, add extra fees and get standoffish when you confront them about it.
Most recently I switched to prepaid because I couldn't afford $120 a month for ONE PHONE! I paid my prepaid early and they deactivated my phone anyway. I confronted them about it, and they refuse to resume my service unless I pay them $25! For their mistake! Back when I had regular service, they randomly decided to stop taking auto pays from my bank account, which was the same account I'd been paying with since I got my first phone through them over 10yrs ago, but they didn't tell me anything, let the bill rack up for nearly three months and added insane fees, and refused to let me pay unless I went in person with cash. I'm fed up with this horrible company and their atrocious customer service! DO NOT USE US CELLULAR IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

I'm logged in to my account. I have 1 line eligible for upgrade. Upgrading not the line, but upgrading the phone. I select the line/phone I want to upgrade. It shows me phone's I can purchase for $0.00/mo. But when I talk to someone sales, or sometime in a store, NO UPGRADE FOR YOU. They inform me of more hips to jump through than a dolphin at SeaWorld! And then I'm told they're "really sorry for the inconvenience that you caused" The inconvenience I caused? Excuse me?? It's either false advertising, bait & switch, or the US Cellular system is incapable of providing accurate information.

I have dealt with this same problem for YEARS. Have had this issue before AND after an actual physical move (unknown if same tower is used). I have intermittent connection issues. Seems all is well & good during MOST of the day but at night (after 6 pm or so) the connections are dropped, I have no connections or service. I only have my 1 phone, live in a rural area and now I'm older & have a couple health issues. I would like to be able to rely on service should I have an emergency. I have to use a booster but was told many years ago that service in my area would be updated & more reliable in a couple years. It's been more than 10 years. I have tried most everything I have been told to do but to no avail. To say the least, I am more than STILL frustrated with this mess. I will be checking with other cell providers as I have been told that some now have service in my area.

The local US Cellular locations have very helpful staff; however, their promotions are confusing and once explained by the local reps only trigger more questions and head scratching. And, don't buy their accessories at the local stores, they are extremely overpriced. Be weary of their new cell phone promotions as they are designed to keep you on their plan for many months into the future. And, use of their online account is confusing; if you try to get info on your devices and plans through your online account, the online account info doesn't match the monthly statements, which just like the local stores, triggers more questions and forces one to have to call their toll free number.

No one listens or tries to resolve issues. If you ask for a supervisor, they argue and don't want to transfer you. When you insist, they hang up on you. I spent over 2 hours trying to get a supervisor on the phone without being hung up on. Then the supervisor, instead of helping me fix the issue, put me on mute. I had to conference call customer support and after asking for a supervisor, she got on the phone and knew it was me. THIS is why I'm transferring to Verizon. Not to mention they have unlimited data and Hotspot for their plans. Also, when they hang up, they shut off your service so you have to restart your phone to join the network again. A rep at a store told me they are known for doing this lately.

After many years of being with US Cellular, I finally gave up being loyal for no reason and ported out all of my lines. For years I have been trying to reduce my bill and I was told the best they could do is give me a $10 discount if I use autopay. I recently found out I was eligible for the $30/line plan and they even cheated me when I tried switching to that. I ported all lines out and they should owe me a credit for 20 days but guess what it came out to? $3.00. US Cellular can keep their 2 bar service. Their Retention Department needs to look up the definition of the word retention. I now have 3 lines including insurance on the Verizon network for the price of 1 line at US Cellular.

Run away from this company as fast as you can! I've been with UScellular for 10 or more years. 3 years they had a promotion that if you went from prepaid to post paid you would get the Google Pixel 7 free. The sales rep assured me I would be paying the same if not less (I have witnesses) and my bill doubled. I had to switch to the cheapest plan and make payments on the phone and my bill was 10 more than what I was paying before. Fast forward to 2025. I call US Cellular to find out how much I still owed on the phone. They said $134 last payment due in October. I said it wouldn't take me that long to pay it off because I planned to leave after this ordeal. They sent me over to the retention department and they offered me an early upgrade, wave the upgrade fee and a $20 credit for a year. They said to have the store rep call retention after the phone was activated so they apply the credit.
Now my phone is activated and because of this I can't go back to Google Pixel 7 and retention says they can't apply the credit because I'm still on the Google Pixel 7 promotion even though I was told that offer ended when I switched plans and made payments on the phone. They also said they would refund the taxes I paid and wave the activation fee for being lied to twice then said they couldn't do it two days later and there were no notes of it on my account. So now I get 3 more years of payments, an activation fee and sales tax on the new phone. Going to look into consumer protection attorneys starting Monday morning.

I went to the store in Waterville to upgrade my phone I felt so horrible because I didn't get there until close to closing time; but Bryan ** was so nice and helpful to me! We left Verizon because of poor customer service and now realize that US Cellular is much worse. First of all, pay attention that you must have 4 lines of service for the advertised price. If not the price is significantly higher. Customer service will always side with the company and will not give any concessions and literally tell you to stop complaining. They claimed that their home internet will work in your area even if it only works for an hour or two and the rest of the day is spotty and will not take back the service without a $500 fee. Worst experience with a cellular provider ever in our Fort Dodge area.

I won a 1 Year free internet from you. I live here out in Wynnewood Oklahoma City. I wanted to take up the offer and received the device. When I got home, the device was problematic and returned the device. I was told at the time that I only have to pay the Taxes of $23.63. When I returned the device, I was told that I have to pay another $23.63 and that the first $23.63 will be refunded. I still have not yet received the $23.63. When I went back to the US Cellular branch in Sulphur, the device that I retuned were still not returned and was told by Mandi (Lady working there) that they do not have a label. It has now been another 2 months.
When I returned, I was then told that it is only the device that I won and not the internet. I have ever since received an account for $160 and another $240 even though I do not have a device or internet. I do not want the internet as this was not the deal. I need my money back and also the account needs to be sorted out. Please have someone contact me to get the matter sorted and the staff at the branch not being helpful or willing to assist further.

I have been a customer of USCellular for 29 years. I changed my number 26 years ago so they say it has “only” been 26 years. I have not had a contract for over 5 years and have continued monthly service. They were the only option where I previously lived, due to coverage. I switched providers after many years of awful customer service, constantly increasing bills, and hidden fees. I cancelled at the beginning of the last billing cycle, so they billed for the entire cycle with no credit given for the 25 days I did not have their service. After calling, I was informed it is not my final bill and I will be billed this month, as well. I have not had a contract since early 2020 so there is no contract to finish out. They will not budge.
I was spoken over and spoken to like a child by customer service; she would also not explain what gives them the right to bill for a month that I will have zero days of service. This is predatory behavior - billing two months for roughly 5 days of service. ***Bottom line: They do not care if you are a loyal customer, even for 29 years.*** I would strongly discourage anyone from using them as a provider, unless it is absolutely necessary for coverage.

I have never experienced a photo gallery that I have to get through ads just to see my own photos on my own phone until I was helping my girlfriend. She is disabled and living on a very tight strict fixed budget and cannot afford a luxury phone like my Samsung Galaxy S23 plus unlocked phone from Best Buy. So I will buy her one next month and dump US CELLULAR like a bad mistake. They will sell you an ad-free gallery for extra, NO THANKS. US CELLULAR KISS MY NON-ADVERTISING butt. PS I started to read the reviews posted by others and counted 20 with only 1 star until there was finally one with more than one star but it sounded fake, made up, not legit to try and curb some of these one stars? They tell you you got unlimited wifi then when you call about your wifi not working they tell you own it's the most you can get then say you can purchase more. My phone started to run slow. I bought phone and service from UScellular. Corporate advised me to go to one of their stores for assistance. The store was sick and tired of the main store sending people to them for fixes. I have never been treated so poorly by any company in my 70 years on this planet. They told me that if I leave m my phone there, that they would toss it in the garbage and call the police. They called the police. The police said it's their property and that I will be arrested if I bring the phone to them again. US Cellular told me that it's my problem and it's their right to choose who they want to help and who they want not to help. They gave me the middle finger. The problem is I have their product that I bought that is now useless and US Cellular refuses to correct nor apologize the way I was treated.

I am a long term customer. Every year travel abroad. Last year I called customer service to find out how to have service outside of US and I was told that before trip I need to contact them so they will add this to my plan. Recently I visited another country and got charged extra $200 for two lines for international day pass. My phone didn't have service signal while I was outside of US and I didn't use my phone for texts or calls. When I contacted customer service I was told that my phone got connected to the tower in that country and that's why I have the charge. Even though I didn't have service and couldn't use my phone there they can't remove this charger from my bill. They said that I had to contact them prior my trip if I didn't want to have the service there. So they change their rules depending on situation. This was the horrible experience and I would never recommend this provider to anyone.

On January 11, 2025 at 2:30PM I walked in to the US Cellular on Dodge and 72Nd. I wasn’t necessarily greeted at the door me nor my girlfriend. I looked to see who wanted to assist me. A representative by the name of Anna looked at my girlfriend and me with disgust! The second she looked at me through her glasses she gave me a bad feeling. She proceeded to barely help us with the distasteful mood and look on her face. I asked her a few questions about my account and because of the color of my skin I was refused service and help at the store. Anna immediately became rude and disrespectful saying that she can not help me, that she will not help me, There is nothing she can do, that she will not give clarity on why she couldn’t assist me or also why she denied me the right to service or to even call in to customer service. Just because I am ** I was racially profiled. She wasn’t happy to help me, nor did she care to help me!
She repeatedly kept saying she couldn’t help me and kept staring at us as if we weren’t welcome. I kept asking for customer service that she failed to provide numerous times and every time I asked she kept denying me every single time. I am very concerned with the practices and guidelines that US Cellular follows and instills into their employees. With constantly having to prove myself as an ** Man in the United States who should have equal opportunities like everybody else it scares me for anybody else who wants to do business with this company.

I have been a customer with USCellular going on 8 years. They have always been amazing and willing to work with me during my financial struggles up until these past few months. In November 2024, I became homeless and then 5 days later I ended up in the hospital and died twice. My current health conditions are still not a 100%. I am not able to work, drive or even able to be alone due to I faint or pass out unexpectedly. I understand that I need to pay for my services and have every intention to get the bill paid. I have been fighting with Social Security so I can get my benefits. I even reached out to a Senator, and late this afternoon I received a email, voice mail regarding getting assistance with my benefits. According to the CSR, along with Supervisors it doesn’t matter to them that not only am I asking for extra time the senator is asking as well.
Today everyone I spoke with was nothing but rude, condescending and just plain disrespectful. How can a company not want to work with a government official? This however makes the company look bad, dishonest and greedy for treating customers this way and even discriminating against customers with disabilities as every other company has been working with me these past months. I will no longer or want to continue being a customer as it’s just pointless and the treatment is not good for my health. I gave 1 star as I needed too but really it should be zero.

This company feels like a scam. I constantly have bills 10 or more than what I was told when the plan started. I also went on a cruise and was charged 14 dollars for calling myself and was charged a total of 544 for using services while on my cruise. I never once got a warning or anything on how much my bill was going up and they also charge 3.50 if THE CALLS OR TEXTS DON'T EVER GO THROUGH. I have never had so many issues or been charged like that when I only wanted the unlimited services I was paying for. I will be switching from this company ASAP. Do not use this company. If you do expect to pay way more than what is quoted when the contract was signed and you were told. They have "free phones" but you lose way more on fees.

I took the buy one phone get the other free offer and looking at the numbers these phones are not buy one get one free. It's a scammy gimmick. Very overpriced. The cell service itself is spotty. At one point I was literally crying on the phone with customer service because I was able to receive calls but the caller couldn't hear me. I use my phone for work and this was extremely frustrating. Customer service tried a couple different things that didn't work, eventually told me there was nothing more they could do to help me. I had to do my own troubleshooting to resolve the issue. Can't wait to get these phones paid off. Two years later. The promo texts I received from them are very annoying. After replying "STOP" I still receive the texts. I've tried calling customer service a couple of times recently and after waiting on hold the call gets disconnected.

I had US Cellular for 26 years! I had to buy a new flip phone -paid full cost at corporate store. I was told plan would not change. Got next bill for $20 more than old bill - they lied and changed the plan. After the royal runaround I gave up and changed carriers. Rude customer service would not take the phone back at the store (it was 10 days later). They made me ship it to Texas.
I got a credit on the credit card 15 days after they received the phone, but they subtracted the whole bill out of my credit for the phone. I was told not to pay that bill and wait for the final bill, but they went ahead and took that amount from me on the credit card. On the final bill got a credit for about $20 (the original overcharge). But I didn't get credit for the portion of the month I cancelled (about three weeks). Customer service supervisor basically told me tough - we won't credit you for service you never used because you cancelled. After 26 years I am done. They are liars, fraudulent, thieves, and could not care less about their customers.

My fiancé and I visited the Buckhannon location yesterday and were very pleased with our experience. Brittany and Anthony provided a wonderful experience as they took their time explaining everything and very pleasant to talk to. They both were very helpful and did not rush us. I opened an account with US cellular a few months ago and I asked the salesperson in store to calculate what my total monthly bill would be. I have yet to have a bill be what they had told me it would be and each month my bill has varied by $80. Additionally, one month I set up a payment arrangement and had mistakenly paid it ONE day late and two months later I find out that they gave me a $50 fee for paying my bill one day late. I wish I had gone with a different company.

I've paid $10 a month for insurance. Now my phone, took it in, can't fix it, so I file a claim, $99 deductible. Are you kidding me??? Garbage service, rates more than average. Great price, till you see the extras and get nailed. Service.... I've spent an hour at a time with operators that keep sending me to others only to get disconnected.

Customer support does not exist. A US Cellular office gave my wife a new number because of financial issues caused by the previous number. Within 2 hours she had received numerous spam calls and calls from bill collectors. The number was a local number and obviously not 'cleaned' by US Cellular. We asked that the phone calls be blocked or deleted and we were told that we could buy an app to stop the calls. They refused to do anything else. They told us to call *611 and talk to corporate customer support. I've tried that before - no help. We currently live approximately 3 miles from a cell tower and get SOS for a signal. Corporate Customer Support told me they could not fix that; and asked if I wanted to cancel my contract!!! If there was a negative 10, that would be my rating.

November the 5th of this year I pay my phone bill, bought a phone then the next week I wake up on November the 12th my phone cut off and they trying to tell me to pay a phone bill with a $25 connection fee but they can cut your phone off at 6:00 in the morning and there's nobody to talk to at all. Plus can't make phone calls. This is crazy. If I pay my bill my phone should be on.

When I signed the contract I was agreeing to the plan charges quoted in the US Cellular store, verbally and on paper. The sales representative warned me that the first bill would be high because service is paid a month in advance, it covered two months and extra fees or something. It WAS very high but I paid it. The first "normal" bill, without any new-service charges was also high, higher than what I had on the written quote. US Cellular padded the plan charges. I called to tell them there was an error but they said the charges were valid and refused to honor the written quote. Judging by the reviews, I'm not the first person that US Cellular has tried to scam. I think warrants a Class Action law suit.

This is the worst service ever. I left AT&T and went to Verizon because of price gouging. Then I left Verizon to come to US Cellular because I didn't like their service. I travel in all 48 states for a living. If I was disappointed with Verizon I am totally disgusted with US Cellular. Their data is worthless. I mean WORTHLESS. Soon as my phone contract is up I'm outa here. I'm only posting this in hopes I save someone from making a grave mistake like me. Good luck.

I wish I could give zero stars. I wish I never came here for business. This play has tried to scam me and screw me every step of the way. Every single thing an employee has told me I’ve been later told that isn’t true. I was told I could return my at home WiFi box whenever, but when I went to return it two months in they told me I had 15 day period to return it in. I was told I would be paying $35/month for my at home WiFi but have consistently been paying closer to $100/month. When I called (multiple times because it is so hard to get a hold of this company) they said they put a credit on my account so it would pay back everything I overpaid. I got the employees name and wrote a note of it but when I called to get that credit they claim there is no such record of that. The WiFi itself sucks, you can send photos or videos and it takes multiple tries to even get text messages to through.
Every single employee I have dealt with on the phone and in person (minus ONE) has had a condescending tone and very clearly talked to me like I was an idiot. Their customer service is greatly lacking as their employees also greatly lack empathy. I even went in person to go over my bill and the only pleasant employee I’m convinced they’ve hired quietly told me all the extra things they added to my bill in order to scam me. On the phone I was told to return my box in person by two different people. In person they tell me I can’t return my box and I need to cancel online.
The 800 number is a joke it takes 30 minutes to even get ahold of an actual person and their robot is the worst one I’ve ever dealt with. She cannot understand human English using their set command words and even tried to change my PIN number and pay a bill when all I said was her option she offered speak to an associate. I’m so tired of this place and I wish I never ever came here for business. The amount of extra money they’ve weaseled away from me is absurd and for bad WiFi at that.

I just joined US Cellular about 2 weeks ago, and my service was interrupted in the middle of a very important phone call. They said that I did not make a payment but I set my account as auto pay....so I had to go thru that process over again to resume service. They told me at the store it would be no more than $160 for my initial payment, but I was informed that it was $220. It was their error & didn't have the decency to apologize for the inconvenience they caused me. As soon as my phone is paid off, I'm ending my service with them. TOTALLY CRAPPY!!!! I'm telling everyone about my horrible experience.

Consider my one-star a negative 5 star, service is so so but customer service is as bad as it gets. They're rude. They argue with you when you know you're right, the bill changes every month. I had 4 lines with family under my name, one line that was paid off, they said it wasn't and could port my number and the phone. I reached the retention department and they were belittling and rude. I called back later because everyone wants out of US Cellular, that person looked and said it's paid and helped me get my phone and current phone number to Spectrum. One down 3 to go, this after being with them 20+ years, they have been going downhill for quite some time, save yourself the agony with US Cellular and look for a better cell company.

I have been a US Cellular customer for almost a decade and not had trouble with my phone line. Their customer service is always horrible so I handle my account mostly online through the app. I purchased internet lines for my home and business last year and have had horrendous service. They don't support the routers they sell so if you have an issue with service you end up having to troubleshoot with both and both will tell you it's the other that is causing the problem. We ended up returning one router because we never could get it to work. The last week has been a nightmare with outages and really slow service so I finally called again. Today alone it has gone out at least 4 or 5 times, twice within the last hour. After over an hour on the phone and having to speak to 5 different agents (at least two of which I believe I was transferred to because the agent didn't know what to do with the situation), I got absolutely nothing resolved.
I asked to speak to a manager and was told they have gone home for the day. One agent told me they acknowledged an outage and had been dealing with it for a while but had no estimate for when it might be repaired. Another agent explained to me that my "unlimited data" contract was not actually unlimited. That US Cellular engages in the same practice that other carriers have been sued over - throttling the speed after so many GB of high-speed data. T-Mobile, AT&T and Spectrum are just a couple that have had to send refunds over this. This was NOT explained to me in the store when I made the purchase. I told the agent this and she said she still could not do anything for me but she would have a manager call me back in the next 24-48 hours.
I have filed a BBB complaint. I have requested that my service be canceled. I am happy to return the equipment in working order but I want to be able to switch to a more reliable service without it dinging my credit history with unpaid contract bills. My phone service has been reliable but otherwise I have nothing good to say about this company. I will most likely also switch phone service once I am done with my contract on the current phone. DO BETTER US CELLULAR.

Had US Cellular for over a year. The service in our area was horrible. We were in SOS mode most of the time. And I had no service in the school I worked in (everyone else had service) Jump forward to this past Saturday. Went to Cricket (whose service has been great so far) to change our service to them. We had to call US Cellular to get a pin from them but the ironic part was our phones were in SOS mode inside and outside of the Cricket location. So the kind Cricket employee had to call them on their landline.
Long story short every person we spoke to at US Cellular was rude and didn’t want to give us the info we needed because they didn’t want us to leave them. We ended up having to call them 5 times and the Cricket employee had to get his higher up involved to get them to release our numbers! It was a horrible experience and I would not recommend them to anyone! And now I think they are going to keep trying to charge us! Stay away from US Cellular!

They don't go by or honor the contract. They being main phone line to their headquarters and place of business on broad way all had different monthly dues, a lot higher than original agreed upon the contract. Do not do business with them. You will regret it.

I was with US Cellular for over 20+ years and had to change to AT&T due to real bad Cellular service. Then I changed services but had to pay off phone before I could change. Then after 2 months they send me an email telling me I have a balance of over $100 so called them and they told me that I still owed on phone and I informed them that the new carrier couldn't switch over till phone was paid off and I paid off at the time I switched so I could change over. If you're thinking of going to uscellular don't. They are the worst company around. If there was a negative star rating would be -5☆.

If you want to have a bill that is different every month, US Cellular is the company for you! Want a promotion for 50% off an Apple Watch? Great! We will bill you for it monthly and not apply the promotion so you are actually just paying the full price, and then when your bill is higher than it should be and your autopay cap maxes out, we will take away your autopay discounts and charge you late fees because your bill wasn't paid on time (because we over charged you). But if your still not convinced, give US Cellular a try if you LOVE calling customer service several times a year to talk to people who cannot help you and after about 40 minutes get a condescending manager who either talks in circles or straight up tries to gaslight you. If you're bored and want some drama in your life, US Cellular is the company for you!!!

We switched an iPhone and iPad from T-Mobile to US Cellular and were informed that service on both devices was activated and about month later we noticed that the iPad has no mobile data and is still under T-Mobile despite us being charged 2 cycles for the activated service when we called they said it was probably that the SIM card was never removed so it couldn’t have US Cellular service so we asked for a refund for the months we were told service was activated and they refused saying “just because we don’t USE the service doesn’t mean it wasn’t active” and that they would only refund one month as a one time courtesy and we’d have to go into a store to get it ACTUALLY activated. It’s so ridiculous. To make matters worse the cell phone reception is so much worse than it was on T-Mobile. Complete trash.

I made the unfortunate mistake of switching to US cellular for both my wireless and home internet about 2 years ago. They lure you in with the promise of a free phone and brag up how great their coverage is. Both of these are outright LIES!! They charge me $190 a month for horrible phone coverage and internet that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. When you call customer service you will get pit on hold for at least 15 minutes then get some runaround then transferred to another “tech” who’s equally as clueless as the first one. In my case I was transferred to 3 different techs and the last one could barely speak English and was the most clueless and rude person I have ever dealt with. So after 2 hours and not a single solution to my problems I finally have given up. As soon as the new iPhone comes out I’m done with this bunch of scammers and idiots at US cellular and am going back to Verizon.

Horrible cellular and internet service provider. We used them for wi-fi in our rural area and cancelled because of poor service. Their cellular tower was constantly malfunctioning and they never attempted to repair it. We switched to Starlink, received better service and faster internet and cancelled US Cellular as an ISP. Now, they want to charge us $113 for an internet router that didn't even work half the time and only got up to 1 bar out of 5. Seems like they're trying to punish customers from switching from their crappy service to a company that actually cares about its customers. Avoid this company at all costs even if they're the only one providing service in your area.

They have locked me into a contract for two years otherwise I would no longer be a customer. They tell you the bill is $55 a month. Get your first bill. It’s outrageous but you pay it thinking that it’s just initial fees or what not. Gouging basically but isn’t that just common nowadays With these corporations? I really don’t know why we put up with it because things get worse. Coverage is lousy, speeds not that great, customer service can’t help you if you don’t remember your pin with any billing information probably because after a year they start doubling the price of your bill. My bill this month and $169 and that’s for one phone line just fees upon fees upon fees. If you are considering this terrible corporation, just know this if they did it to me I’m sure they’ll have no problem doing it to you.

I was with US Cellular for 20 years and when I switched to prepaid because of disability they wanted me to do autopay for a couple months, they were taking out 200 to 300 dollars out of my account w/o permission. Went to Canton store to ask why and they called the police on me. I was also paying for warranty plan and had been having nothing but trouble with my phone ever since I switched to prepaid, also had a lot of problems with dropping calls so I finally decided to switch to different company and my service is so much better and don’t have any problems with phone now? Switch because US Cellular is a horrible company to deal with especially when you go to prepaid for some reason and also took hours just to get make a payment in-store because they fired all their good help so they have people that didn’t know what they were doing and also didn’t care what they were doing? So so glad I switched from this horrible company!

We’ve been with US Cellular for nearly 10 years and I can tell you they are not the best. US Cellular’s promotion is a joke. They have no reward to their current customers whatsoever. There’s always a catch. We live in a remote area so we don’t really have a choice but to use US Cellular for our cellphone and internet. We pay for a 5g unlimited internet but it is a hit-or-miss with 0 upload speed most of the time. My daughter and I traveled overseas last month and they charged us $15 per day for a service that we did not used. Our cellular data and roaming was set to off before we depart the United States. Our phones overseas was literally showing SOS. I was not surprised because their signal isn’t great in the US. I bought a local prepaid SIM card to used while on vacation and my daughter used my hotspot or wifi.
Talked to Customer Service and Retention today after I saw our bill. I asked about the additional charge but he told me there’s nothing they can do but I have to pay the charge whether we use it or not. After I explained to him my frustration he offered to lower the overseas charge to 50%. It is not just about the money but it is about charging customers for a service that they did not use is literally stealing. The Representative told me that next time I travel I should get me an international plan so I can use their service overseas and will not be charge for $15 per day. Why in the world would I use a cellphone service for an additional $100 from a cellphone provider that does not have good reputation of having good signal in the US how much more overseas? Ridiculous!!!! I cannot wait for a different provider to have service in our area so we can switch.

I will keep this as brief and clear as possible. I had a question about a final bill regarding a tablet. I went in person to a US Cellular store and spoke to a manager who showed me my final bill would be roughly $122 but told me wait for the paper bill and pay with a check. My final revised bill arrived and it was double. I called customer service who informed me they did not apply the final credit they owed me due to a screw up on their end, so my bill was double. I paid it in full. Now US Cellular says I still owe them the credit back since they didn’t apply it but sent as a prepaid credit card. That makes no sense since my final bill was double AND I paid it BECAUSE they didn’t apply the credit

US Cellular! We live four half miles line of sight from the internet tower and we do not get the service that it is advertised as we only get 4 GB download speed. Supposed to be 15 GB and yes they don't hold up their end of the contract in serving you with what they advertise as they don't want to help you out so you're stuck with price of equipment so we went with (Net Buddy) and it works fantastic!

One half to one bar of unreliable service for full prices. Nothing fixes this problem - calls to customer service, boosts, having my phone checked out. It's them. U.S. Cellular. Their service is unreliable. Because of this, I've missed urgent calls from friends and family and interview and doctor appointment reminders. I cannot rely on having service, God forbid I should be stranded or need help. I'm leaving this company for good soon. Going on a friend's plan and already checked the reception out.

This is the absolute worst phone service provider out there. 90% of my calls get dropped, or won't even go through followed by a circle with the line through it at the top right corner. Says I'm not connected to a network. If I could give negative stars, I would. They'll say it's because of my area, but they still charge full price knowing they don't provide decent service in my area. Cellphones are the biggest rip off scam since taxes! And this company is the worst I've ever experienced.

I upgraded to a new phone and was told my bill would not change, it went up over 50 dollars. I purchased a charger and case for the phone and paid cash yet there it is on my bill as well. I'm a current customer. I can tell you that customer service isn't consistent. There is always a surprise on my bill. I find out things after the fact now I'm stuck with their substandard internet service for 3 years. I get different answers every time I call. I'm the customer you are required to tell me all the details. It's not my responsibility to do your research and learn as I go all these new surprises. I strongly suggest to go with another company so you don't have the unpleasant experiences I've had. Don't say I didn't warn you. I've been with Verizon, Metro, Alltell and Boost and have never had this experience. I look forward to the day I can walk away. I would have given you zero stars but I had to give you 1.

US Cellular is not a cell phone company that I would recommend to anyone. I was with this company for many years. I think 7 years. Went to upgrade my phone which I was told I could do every two years. But I was told I could not upgrade my phone because my other phone was not worth that much even though they charged me 1100.00 for it when I got it. But I could buy a new one for another 1100.00 and sign a two year contract. So they wanted me to buy my new phone and sign a contract. I asked them what was the benefit to me. They said, "You get our service."
So I went with T-Mobile then May 6th I got charged for the whole month of April when I only had service for 9 days with them in April. I called to tell them I want them to refund the extra money they took out which would be around 135.00. They said they don't do that. I have to be charged for the next month but if I wanted to come back they would give me 500.00 off a new phone as long as I signed a two year contract. I was not happy with their service for the 7 years or their customer service.

Never doing business with this company! I have over a million people in 4 groups at Facebook which I am the admin of and I will tell them what happened. I did cancel my service with U.S Cellular 6 months ago and they did send one last invoice which I was trying to pay. I did call to make the payment and they said they couldn't find my account because I had not account with them anymore, and that I needed to go to the nearest store. So I went to the store and the guy said they couldn't find me either and I needed to call another phone number where they never answered. I got tired of this game and next thing I know they did reported me and now my credit score when from 773 to 639. Exactly when I want to buy a house!!!! I am very very angry. I will make sure U.S Cellular gets some bad advertising. If a representative of U.S cellular can call me to fix this problem they can call me **.

First off, USCellular does not honor the military discount they supposedly have. If you decide to have any service with UScellular, DO NOT, DO NOT fill out any survey they send you. If you answer the their survey honestly and have any criticism, they will throttle back your service to 2G just like the old dial up service back in the 1990's. Honestly, I would have better signal on a cheap flip phone than my UScellular 5G WIFI and my 5G Samsung smartphone. I have never had any 5G signal on either even though I am paying for it. Never complain to UScellular or your service will get throttled back to dial up speed permanently!!! I have been a UScellular customer for 2 years until now where they punish me for complaints with dial up speeds. It took 23 minutes to upload a single photo of my UScellular contract to this review on their "5G" WIFI.

I have been with them for years. They started out fine. Decent signal and decent price. I could understand them wanting to kick me out of unlimited data because I used a lot and I had no WI FI. I canceled phone insurance to bring the price down and after a couple of weeks they put it back on. The other person on my plan left for another company and at first I was at a decent price. I now have WI FI so I thought it would stay good. Nope! They upped my fees and I have a bad signal.

Beware of US Cellular! The service is horrible, I was told by an associate if I have poor service don't use the phone unless I'm connected to wifi or find another carrier. Which now I am switching to another phone carrier. Customer service is horrible and when you talk to a customer service agent you can hear everything that is happening in their house - kids screaming, animals howling, hell I heard a roster crow one time for 15 minutes. I suggest staying away from us cellular, unless you want to pay for absolutely nothing.

Do not go to US Cellular. They have the worse customer service. I wanted to bring my phone and number to a new carrier because at the time I got my account and phone I was told you can use wifi calling anywhere. There is wifi. I have a business and I travel and need to be able to receive phone calls wherever I am. This turned out not to be true. I have been trying to get my cell phone unlocked for 4 days now. The phone is completely paid for and every time I call I get a different answer. 1st day "phone is not locked", 2nd day "submitted request will be unlocked by the end of the day", 3rd day "it can take a max of 48 hours to unlock", 4th day it can take up to 72 hours to unlock." Meanwhile new month started and they don't prorate! Still not unlocked!

They discontinued my auto pay, then told me that I would be charged a fee to pay by phone. I was unable to pay online and was told I could pay at a store, so I wasted a trip only to be told I would still be charged the fee. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and they told me they would waive the final fee to resolve the complaint. When I called to pay, I was told they could not waive the fee, that I could mail the payment, but since the bill was due that day, I would be charged a late fee. Will absolutely never go back to this company.

3 days in on the billing period I Paid everything off to lower my upcoming bill. Absolutely no change still $265 even though everything was paid off. Was told installments charges would be dropped. I do not generally write reviews if unnecessary. This one is for people who want to understand the process and not get trapped. Got US cellular Internet service for ZIP Code 73439 in December 2023. The sales agent in the store in OKC checked the zip code, and mentioned the service will work well. I happily got the service; which was necessary for me to monitor the security cameras for my remote home. And of course, use internet and be able to stream (the basics every company provides). I’ve been battling since the time.. I get the service-speed of 0.4 MB per and 0.9 mbps for upload and download, respectively (Welcome to 1990’s!!). Pay 89 dollars a month for this crap service is not acceptable, at-least in today’s modern time. They have troubleshooted multiple times in the last two months -nothing worked.
I gave one final attempt today. Spent 1 hour plus to trouble shoot again with the tech support group, and finally got in touch with their Supervisor / Manager S **, from Iowa branch (won’t give me full name).. who couldn’t help either. He suggested 10 dollar service discount until things get better in future. No consideration of what I been paying for 3 months and getting the worst reception and then suggesting to wait until things change… When?? Like any sensible person I called it quits at this stage. I requested to cancel my service and also requested to waive the Inseego modem fee (as I agreed to drop it back in the store) or the waive the upcoming bill for the month of April or both.. for all the hassle this has caused. No help!!
To summarize- I wasted several hours over the phone on different occasions trying to get them to admit for the poor service. I requested them to be too considerate… but they were still adamant for me to pay in full. I paid $311.04 for the remainder balance on the device (which I will have to keep on my shelf as a PTSD souvenir.

This is the worst company I have ever had service with, They tell you one thing then lie to you when you go in to question them, they said they would provide a free phone because mine was 3g and would not work anymore, went in, got new cheapest non smart phone they had, they said it was free no obligation, then I go in about my bill and they said I still owed $287.00 on the free phone, how do you still owe $287.00 on a free phone, they are a bunch of dishonest crooks

I have been a loyal US Cellular Customer for 37 years. Never switched. Not once. Honestly quite happy. A couple of bumps along the way. Today nearly caused me to question just how gluttonous a company could become to treat a customer that has paid them about $75,000 over the years for one item phone service. Due to a rather long odd situation without my knowledge I went over my 20 gig data plan. Now 7 hours later and all my lost time and money as US Cellular's mismanagement and unscrupulous ways prevented me from working I now know that they throttled my internet. It was coming in partially and hanging up. Reminded me of the old dial up.
After being on hold and fighting with a robotic menu system. 611 that will not transfer you to a representative without making an additional payment on your current, not past due account that has no payment due for a week, I finally managed to get a hold of Trudy who called me a liar and told me she could fix my problem if I gave her $100. I told her that was extortion and I would be not be a party to it. To which she hung up on me. I later got my situation resolved in a very courteous and professional manner with the help of the manager at the Brookfield Corporate location. Why on earth would US Cellular throttle my account without letting me know. My history clearly shows a pattern of never using even 1/2 of my plan. Clearly something was wrong.
Lord knows all of the nonsense text and emails are sent out but the important ones that allow a hardworking loyal customer to earn a living to put food on the table cannot be notified of her account basically being shut down due to an overage. I believe the plan is marketed as an unlimited plan. After 37 years with an account in good standing. Statistically most executives in large companies are narcissists and they would have to be. No one else would be able to sleep at night. US Cellular took my precious time away from setting up medical appointments with Dr. offices while I was on hold that are needed because of a health scare. News I just received yesterday that certainly has not yet resolved itself and I am scared. How sad to be you. I would have defended US Cellular as a company today but no more, now all I feel is sad, disappointed and ashamed not only to be affiliated with US Cellular but also to live in the United States!

Don't pay for this service, it's terrible and they won't refund you if it doesn't work. I paid them for over a year and it never worked, this was for a vacation home, they tried to fix but couldn't. They told me prior to ordering service they had great coverage in my area... They ended up giving me 71.33 back and said I should feel lucky... Terrible company and terrible service, look other places, many options available. I now have Starlink and it works great!! Good luck

Their deals aren't deals. Don't be lead to believe you're getting a free phone. They give you credit at the end as long as you do all the hidden directions (get ready to call the billing department constantly). Instead of erasing the amount for the "free phones" they just give you credits at the end. This causes huge taxes at the end of your bill. Constantly lying about their products and where they work. My phone only works half the time, dropping calls, constantly having to put it in airplane mode and back out. Their "5g" is not in fact 5g?!?! How are they getting away with this false advertisement and icons on their screen.
Their home internet is a scam. I was told I'll be getting no less than 200mbps down... I was getting 4mbps when testing. Their tech support said it's because of my location (even though my location wasn't a problem when they sold it to me). I bought an external antenna (mounted to a 50ft tower) and pointed it at the their cell tower. Speeds went up to 50mbps (far from 200 still). That 50 would constantly jump back down to 4mbps. Called support and they said it's not pointed correctly and they'll lock me to a tower.... Long story short after me spending $300 on an external antenna, having paying someone professionally point it at their cell tower... I still don't have it aimed good enough to stop it from jumping to different towers... They steal way too much money from their customers, treat us like crap. I can't wait to switch to a different provider.

I purchased a new phone for my kid at retail outlet store for US Cellular phones. Got home, phone had an IT ADMIN lock on it. Could not even turn up sound. Got online with tech number for US Cellular. First person hung up on me after an 11 minute wait and did not call back. Got on with 'chat' personnel. Had to go to Supervisor. Got the same old, same old routine. Phone still not fixed. Said to call tech support ??? Explained they were absolutely no help at all as I had already spoken to two of them and they said...take phone into store where I bought it. This was not including the one who hung up on me.
Finally drove all the way across town to original store. Got a real cool guy named Jacob who had to take phone back to factory setting. It works now. I hate US Cellular Tech Support, just saying. Next time, I'll try another company, but my teens were frantic to be without their phones for a weekend. I hate teens as well, by the way. Signed: a harried, disillusioned Mom

Outservice has always sucked.... even where we were supposed to have great service. Then to top it all off.... we were definitely overpaying for our crap service. Always got crap customer service from them then phone contracts were up all but one. So we go to another company. Took our plan off auto pay... somehow was put back on auto pay so they took the money without giving me a bill. Then I do find a bill and they charged me for a phone installment when it was paid off already. And then tax on the phones after we already paid the tax for the phone.

Very bad company to do business with. They make claims they live up to. Very poor cell service and even worse customer service! Their advertisment is very misleading! I will never use them again and would never recommend them they are very misleading in their service agreements. They are not as advertised!!

I was charged $294 for my phone, and another $294 was put on a stranger's account. They refused to refund it, saying they can’t take it off the other account and said I should have my card eat the cost.

Shady customer service and their stores follow their lead. But first, if you never travel far from your town and want a cheap, dependable service then they are pretty good. If you travel far, you DO NOT want US Cellular. If you change phone plans often you don't want them either. Their service is on a tight rope and it does not take much to lead to hours and hours on the phone with customer service. For example, when I went to Colorado I did not have service. Anywhere. Not in Kansas or CO. Hours on the phone to fix it.
I changed from unlimited internet and lost service. Hours on the phone to fix it. I called last week and updated to international plan so my phone would work in Cancun and Cozumel. No service. I spent 2 hours on the phone from the airport to the resort and stood outside on the phone for another 45 minutes, probably 1 1/2hrs and no service. I called back and was on the phone for 2 hours and still no service. They called my wife to tell me they fixed it and fire me to call them. After 2 hours and 45 minutes I still don't have service. They told me to try a different number for roaming support and the wait is 25 minutes. Hard pass. Never again. US Cellular has had this same issue for years and does not appear inclined to fix it. Imagine having your fight changed and no way to notify your family because of US Cell? Then finding out the connecting flight leaves before you arrive and no way to contact the airline? That's what you get with US Cell.
But there's more. I call because I keep getting notifications for voice-mails and they can't fix it. Tell me to go to a store. I go to the store and they couldn't fix it, and were rude and belittling, telling me with a smart tone and look that maybe it's a ghost and my phone is possessed. I leave and go across town to the other store and they try to sell me a new phone, but the one I have is new, so they tell me to call customer service again. This was an issue for a couple years. I'm done. When I get back from my vacation I'm going to a store and getting my account number and switching to T-Mobile. I'm done.

I bought a ARlo camera and phone that was junk. They wouldn't let me return the item. Now I'm stuck with a camera that is useless. Do yourself a favor and stay away from US Cellular. I called and got the runaround. Stay away from this place.

It is so sad I pay for a phone I can hardly ever use because I was lied to about service in my area. Then when I call customer service about it, nonchalantly tell me I basically have to deal with it. U.S Cellular used to be decent. Now, they are just about money with no consideration for the customers. Disgusting!!!

I've been with US Cellular more than 20 years. I began having trouble with a new Samsung phone that was undamaged under warranty. It wouldn't wake up. Contacted a local US Cellular dealer who refused to help me, because I didn't have device protection. But they would sell me a new phone. Though I was qualified for an upgrade, they wouldn't give me one either. Samsung wouldn't help either, but would sell me a new phone. Then there is their network with the Chicagoland changes. Good luck. Did I mention they are the only ones left without free Mexico or Canada coverage? Lost my service for the entire vacation. Advice - dump them. Better deals out there. No loyalty or care on their part.

Their service is horrible (even with an home booster for $500) and their customer service is worse. Our bill kept going up so I took them off autopay. Our bill got up to almost $200 for 2 phones. Paid off phones for $600 and moved on. They didn’t close my account even though I ported my numbers and was gone. They put over $300 on my credit for absolutely no reason other than they are crooked.

The cellular data service is spotty at best and I made my first payment and it never actually went to my account. They lost my $100 payment and threatened to suspend my service because THEY screwed up! I had better service with TextNow, and it only cost me $1 if I wanted their premium service, but their basic plan is free. I seriously would NOT recommend U.S. Cellular if they were the last company on planet Earth.

First, they do not tell you that the moment you cross your home state line that you will be roaming. Second, if you return a phone to them, get proof that it was dropped off and hold on to that proof for a decade. I returned a phone and 4 years later they slap the cost of the phone on my credit report. Third, at any location I have been to, the wait to be seen is inexcusably long and the customer service representatives are mostly rude.

Have been with this company for over 13 years. Have bought several phones, not only for myself but for my sons & grandchildren & have paid them off on time. Have never been suspended & have always been respectful in calling them ahead of time to let them know if I'm unable to make the payment for the month & have always made my payment as we have agreed. Past 2 years have had nothing but difficulty with their service (tower service). Unable to make calls or receive calls, have complained about this several times to the company in the midst of this two years. Was told probably need another phone so gave my last phone & bought this phone, I've had it for approximately 10 months (nearly paid off) but still having the same service problems (towers) as with the first phone.
Mind you it didn't dawn on me until this past few days that it's not the phones it was their service but I was still getting the runaround with them & being walked through on things to do to go around the issue with each time I needed to make a call by their techs, which after a while got very frustrating. Today after waiting for hours to make a personal phone call I ended up having to call them again (remember 2 yrs of this) & tell them service not there again × 3.5 hrs. And was told, after a lengthy back & forth, that I could get credit back for today as a courtesy. I asked why I wasn't informed of this before after all the other times I've called & she stated I needed to request it. I told her how can I know to request it if I haven't been told I could do that. Again one excuse after another until I finally got fed up. I stated I will be canceling with U.S. Cellular.
At that time I was tol, "Hold on. Let us try to help you first, we can get a tech to check on the tower." I told them, "This has been told to me before & the issues have not been resolved." I also stated, "Have y'all not been keeping notes or recordings on my calls coming in." She said she can look back a little bit but not my full history. So a number of things have completely frustrated me with a company. I've been with a number of years and buying a lot of devices - numerous phones, smartwatch, tablets, chargers and of course my monthly bills. As I have stated, service has not been up to par for the last 2 years, no transparency about requesting credit (when asked would I receive the credit for past 2 yrs was told, no they are unable to do that).
So finally figuring it out that it was their service not my phones that was causing the problem. I'm being told I have to finish paying off my phone & pay the bill or my non- payment will be sent out. So I guess my credit is going to get messed up because their lack of courtesy to forgive the $366 (remaining phone cost) + monthly bill of $130 after all the $s I have paid to them faithfully over the yrs. I'm refusing to pay another cent for something I'm not getting. Thank you US Cellular for becoming the company that doesn't understand the frustrations you have put me thru & especially for your lack of understanding & compassion from a long standing now non-dedicated customer.

Coverage is OK. Customer service is abysmal - kinda following the Comcast business model. If they can't understand or fix your problem, they force you to visit "your local store." Well, they closed my local store 3 years ago, so I'd now have to drive 35 minutes to the nearest location. Additionally, I am inexplicably unable to manage my own payments/payment methods via their website - just keeps giving me messages to call Customer Service. When you complain about it to Customer Service (that is, if you can reach an "Associate"), they play dumb in their broken English and proudly claim that they have resolved your issue. You ask to speak to Tech Support about the website's functionality, and they leave you on infinite hold. Alas, that seems to be the way all customer service has been going in the past 20 years.

I had US Cellular cell phone and internet services for 10 days. They charged me fees they never mentioned. I paid $130. To get activated. Then when the service did not work well at my home I took the internet router back and they refunded a restocking fee they never told me about. I get a final bill now that says I have a credit of $59.23. They only refunded $22. I asked why and they said they reversed the restocking fee credit because I canceled my service. The billing statement I just got says -$59.23 but they won't honor it. They told me they don't honor in store credits if you don't keep the service!
I would warn everyone to run don't walk away from this company! They rip you off and don't honor a credit the store gave you. I have worked in customer service all my life and have never run into this kind of horrible service before. The call center says call the store. The store says call the call center. DO NOT DEAL WITH US CELLULAR EVER!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

This company lives in pixel 1992 land. Their so called “coverage anywhere” is a lie, I’ve had spotty service in several areas traveling and some places I don’t even get service. Then I pay my bill on time, god forbid you don’t get it paid right away they’ll threaten you with a good time of adding more charges I’m sure, but I’ve always paid my bill on time and yet they never reset my data afterward at the beginning of the billing cycle, so I’m still dealing with throttled data. Their support team sounds like a hunch of people overseas. The bill is never the same and yet instead of paying $50 they’ll charge me $120, so I told them I don’t want their service, then they come up with some random $30 plan however I paid $86 for that, can’t wait to see what they pocket next bill, however I’m not planning to pay it next time. Throw me to your credit bureau. They don’t scare me.

Do not get their in home internet. They do not explain everything to you. The internet is spotty. Shuts off when it wants to. Called technical support. What a JOKE. Told me they fixed it. They didn't do anything to it. Never noted my account. Which happens all the time.. After I specified for EVERYTHING discussed to be put in my notes on my account. I was told that they didn't have to. Got a hold of a supervisor and told him what had happened. He did nothing either. Called back the next day and got a hold of a female supervisor and she was livid. I told her it was already too late to do anything about it. I right up told her U.S. Cellular is the WORST MOBILE CARRIER EVER TO COME ACROSS THIS EARTH FOR A BUSINESS.
I TOLD them to suspend my internet as of today. "Well we can't do that ma'am." I said, "You will. Because I am not paying for it. Your service sucks!!" They raised my bill from 75 dollars to 225 dollars. In one month. They doubled billed me. I said, "I'm am not paying it." I said, "Send me a shipping label for this and you can have your crap back. It ain't worth diddly squat."
The Eldridge Iowa store lies to you. Doesn't back up the product. They tell you what you want to hear so they can keep your business. They raise your bill on phony excuses. They will not work with you on nothing. But.. I had witnesses to what they said and did. Didn't like it when I called them out on it. They saw it as a threat. I said it's no threat. Nothing but the truth. Lori is a good one at this. So is David in the eldridge store. Unbelievable treatment. They do no wrong and won't take the blame for nothing. The bad thing is I wrote everything down word for word what they both told me. I repeated what was wrote. They said, "No we didn't say that." My witnesses said, "Yes you did." Their faces dropped to the floor.
I told them that this store will not stay open very long with the lies, excuses to why something can't be done. They laughed and told me that I couldn't close down their store because I was only one person. I turned around and said that's all it takes. Very rude. Obnoxious. Think they know all. There are only 3 employees that run that store. So they all stick with one another. Poor poor service. Poor excuse for handling problems with their products.
Do not go to the ELDRIDGE STORE FOR NOTHING. GO ELSEWHERE. Just an awful store all the way around. When I was in there 6 people came in and ask for their money back because they were lied to.?? So what does that tell ya. Told customer service about it. Their response? "Oh they wouldn't do anything like that, it's against protocol." I said it was done. Made several complaints about this store and nothing was done. So watch buying anything from this company or getting service through this company. Please pay close attention to EVERYTHING!!

Got this service thinking they would have good signal. Boy was I wrong. 4g is slow. Their "5g" is spotty at best and isn't fast at all. No video chat options like others besides Google. Really disappointed. Going to take both phones back. Really do your research on their networks. Practically they are still in the stone age compared to the others. Big waste of time switching to this 1995 tech service.

Absolute nightmare. My transferred number never worked. I spent HOURS with their support trying to solve, at least 15 HOURS. Horrible treatment. They couldn’t fix it so I transferred to Verizon, which they made difficult. Then they had the nerve to report the bill for those few weeks to my credit report as unpaid. Unbelievable.

Been with this company for almost 20 years. I called Nov 2022 complaining my bill was too high. The person supposed to lower my plan to make it more with other companies. Well it never took effect. I called today to find out I was told told lies and even had some device protection plan on that I never asked for. Think they would reimburse me, nope. Please please stay away from this company. Nothing but lies. Run run run away.

I was a customer with US Cellular for 15 years and I can't tell you how many times my bill would just change the amount that I was billed. I would call in annually to negotiate a rate for the next 12 months and see what "discounts" they could give me and the last 3 times that I did this, they tried charging me a different rate. This time was the last time that will happen. I am switching to T-Mobile and saving over $40/month from the best rate that US Cellular would give me. I gave them multiple opportunities to keep my business and they didn't seem to care. They won't send you the rate that you discussed in writing for the term agreed upon and that is shady business. I take notes every time I call them and document everything, they record the calls for their purposes but won't hold the people you talk to accountable for the rates that they agree you will get charged. US Cellular billing is shady.

They invoice in advance for a whole month, even if you cancel the service. They do not issue you a credit for the unused portion of the month. I closed my account on the 9th, but was billed for the entire month. Don't believe that they will issue you a credit the following month (2 different people on 2 different days told me this), because later they will just apologize that you were given wrong information and add a late fee. They will prorate to their advantage if you sign up mid-month and charge you for those days, but will not prorate for the days you were no longer with them when you cancel their service. They will charge you for the whole month. It's not fair.

This company has terrible support/service. They can ship a phone to you practically overnight. But it takes weeks to fix a mistake. The people I’ve talked to are nice but can’t do anything to help you. Get mailed the wrong phone and you can’t just go to the store to return it. They send you away, telling you online is the only support you can get. Phone support mails an empty box for some reason that can only be to waste paper. Then you get it in the mail and one person says you can Re-order the correct phone. But the next says it’s pending. End of day it’s nice people that are unable to provide support.

This company will tell you anything to get you to sign on with them. They quoted me $130, and my bill was $293. They cut off my service for non-payment when my bill was paid in full. They did this after 10 pm and on x mas eve, so my whole family was out of service for two days. I have terrible service. I cannot make a phone call or text when I am in a store. People always say that they get an out-of-service recording when they call me. Everyone I know that uses this company has the same issues. They promised my sister she would save if she switched from Verizon. She pays over $600 a year more with them.

First I would like to thank Ms. Elizabeth ** (or **) for providing an excellent service and for being so helpful and getting the job done during a phone call on December 16th, 2022. I had been a customer of U.S. Cellular since 2006, first as a contracted customer and then as a prepaid customer. Now I wanted to switch from prepaid to contracted again, but all of their customer services and sales department were either so incompetent lazy, except Ms. Elizabeth **. I made a total of nine calls and one store visit for a total of four plus hours on December 9th and 15th and 16th, but only Ms. Elizabeth was able to get the job done. The waiting time on the line was about 20+ minutes per call. Because U.S. Cellular online customer services or sales department were unable to help me with the switch, I went to their store yesterday to have the switch done, but this morning I found out my husband's line was suspended.
I called them 7 times today, but my calls were either being transferred or disconnected. One of the ladies who finally answered my call phone directly hang up the phone. I guess those people were working from home and hated being awakened from their nap. While trying my last call, I planned to change my cell phone service provider if this last call wouldn't go through. Luckily, it was Ms. Elizabeth ** answered my call and took time to solve the problem and had my husband's line activated. I hope U.S. Cellular will provide better customer services by getting rid of those incompetent lazy workers and replacing them with people like Ms. Elizabeth **.

I have recently relocated to Florida to help out with the destruction that hurricane Ian had left. The job that I thought I had didn't work out. The guy just disappeared. No worries, I will find work. However, my bill came due and funds are short from the move and the burn. I reached out to U.S. Cellular for some temporary help. I owe $91.91. Seemingly small amount compared to prior bills. They refused! I have been a customer for 11 years! I just figured out that I have 19 more payments on my phone. At $28.33 per payment, that comes to $538.27. I wasn't asking them to forget about the $91.91. Just asking them to turn my phone on so that I could find work to pay the bill. I explained that I had recently relocated and to where.
**, pay me was their response. Not verbatim. That's what I heard. So I responded with matching energy and told them that if my 11 years was worth nothing and to let that amount slide until I could pay wasn't an option, than I will never pay it and I will NEVER turn the service back on. They can take that $91.91 plus the $538.27 for a grand total of $630.18 and choke on it. All because they couldn't help out an 11 year faithful, good customer. Not their best customer but a good customer. I have always paid by bills. They strong-armed me on the wrong day! Who needs who?

Back in June of 2022, I contacted U.S. Cellular about their 29.99 per line even for individuals. I was told that is what my service fees were going to be. So the next month I contacted them because my bill jumped to 37.47, with the service fees being 34.00 when they are supposed to be 29.99. So they told me that my auto-pay discount wasn't working and they have had issues with this, and to give them a couple of months to try to fix it. So I waited 2 months before I contacted them again. They then told me it was because I wasn't keeping my data usage below 3 GB.
So I waited another couple of months to get my GB below 3 and I contacted them last Thursday. And I asked to speak to a supervisor. They said they didn't have one available to come to the chat, so they were supposed to set me up to be contacted via phone within 24 hours. It is now Saturday and I can't access the chat because it claims they are all too busy and to try again later. I just want what I was promised which is to have my service fees be 29.99. My family has been a loyal customer to them, and so have I for many years even before I got my own plan. So I want to know why I am getting lied to and mistreated.

We have been with U.S. Cellular for 2 1/2 months now and have experienced nothing but negatives!! Well, we thought the experience in store setting up the plan was good until we found out that we were put on an upgraded plan that we didn't want and when we talked to customer service about it, they said they couldn't do anything...We had to talk to the store. The store manager said they couldn't do anything, we had to talk to customer service and the salesman told us we could pay for our phones outright to have the lesser plan. NOT what we were told in the store.
NEXT thing to go wrong, we weren't given our autopay discount until we complained. NEXT thing, we travelled to Canada and we were assured before the trip and twice during the 5 days we were in Canada that we would incur no extra charges yet we were continually harassed by text from U.S. Cellular that we were incurring more than $300 in charges. Such a negative experience, especially after we had been in Canada with TMobile, who WELCOMED us to Canada with a text assuring we could use our phones at will and with no extra charges. Now I'm finding out that our monthly fees will be 1-1/2 times what we were told in the store. Can't WAIT to finish up the 2 years of this contract with such a terrible company and I still have 21 months to go!!!

Be aware that if you cancel service within 15 days, you will be billed for a full month of service anyway. Also, customer service was rude; almost challenging me to go to the B.B.B. about it. As with most such offers, you need to read all of the disclosures before signing. I had the service for 5 days before canceling. They charged me $60 for it.

Watch the fine print!!! It's not a "FREE" phone. If you drop your service you get charged for the phone!! The service is terrible! The Audio on the phone is very poor. Never again for this company. Talked to a supervisor after a long wait all I was told was I should have read the fine print!! Either pay the balance for the phone or get turned in to a collection agency. I will advise all my friends not to deal with US CELLULAR!!!

I've been with US Cellular for about 3 years now and I've never had my bill over $200 in my life. Even if I got a late fee, recently I've had to spend a ridiculous amount when my bill should only be $75. Also eligible for an upgrade, went to get a new phone and total came out to almost $400 which didn't make sense because I made sure to get the cheapest everything but just to switch the service to the new phone made it ridiculously high. It's definitely not worth it. The totals never add up to what their supposed to be. They'll drain you out of your money if you give them the chance.

Terrific experience! Corina, who is the lady I seen, made the experience seamless for me. She was very polite and patient. The phone and service are excellent, I'm very happy this lady convinced me to switch. The other cell company I used had zero customer assistance, I'm 72 so customer service is very important to me. US Cellular is advertising a $29.00/month/line special. However what they don't tell you are all the fees they tack on to this plan. I have 2 of the $29.00 lines, 1 $39.00 line for some data, and 1 $70.00 line as my home internet. So in total should be $167.00 before taxes. In my budget I have found 15% to be the normal tax bracket in our area. Imagine my surprise when I open my bill and it is $224.00. $57.00 for taxes and fees a whopping 34%. When I called customer support they said that this bill was slightly higher as I had been prorated a couple of items on this bill and that the next bill would be lower. I asked what the next bill would be; they did their math and replied $216.00, still a remarkably high 29% for taxes and fees. Shopper beware calculate at least 30% taxes and fees on any UScellular plan you need to budget for.

Updated on 07/19/2022: How long do I wait to have that help and be published. I am without a working phone and have to pay a bill!!! I reached out for help and they hang up on me. I guess I will just wait. They are getting away with this. I am so disappointed.
Original: I became a US Cellular customer on May 26th 2021. I was lied to from the start. I live in an area that my old cell phone company did not work. I asked around and none of the neighbors had good cell service here so I went to US Cellular and was told I could get reception and internet. I spent a couple of hours there filling out paperwork and being lied to. I left without my phone number but it would be up and running real soon. Not!! My concerns when I was in were money, reception, and tech support because I am not tech smart. My bill would be affordable. Well almost 140.00 is not affordable. The phone is Galaxy S20 FE 5G. I had problems sending messages, I would lose my contacts. I spent time on the phone, I went in and was treated rude like it was my fault not the phones. Talking to tech support you have to have another phone. (I can't afford the one I am calling about.)
I finally had to borrow a friend's phone couple of months later because my phone was block. I could not use it and I had no way to get to the US Cellular store on Lossy Blvd in La Crosse Wis. They connected me to Samsung and that was a nightmare, I could not understand the fella. He was rude and hung up. That happen 3 times. So for a over a year I have just had to deal with it. I have struggled to pay the bill that was supposed to be about 100.00 (not). I applied for the ACP about August of 2021 and they did not accept it. I dealt with it and then I received an email from US Cellular saying I may qualify for the ACP program so I called. The lady was real nice but I had applied to an ACP program through Q Link and was sent a phone that did not work and then gave up on them.
The lady that was nice Denise was her name said she would send me a email with paperwork to release my ACP program from Q Link and apply it then to US Cellular. I gave her my Gmail address and she sent the benefit release paperwork, I opened it so my daughter could help me print it and my phone then was absolutely frying. I mean just went crazy and I could not use it. June 15th 2022. I went in and spent over 1 hour there to be told, "We will be closing at 6pm." I said I was staying till I could at least make phone calls. About 5:50pm the phone had some 4 square button I could use junk. I have chatted, called, chatted, called, they talk try to Please me with a new 700.00 800.00 phone.
I just want out of this contract but they hang up on me or I guess the phone does. I have dealt with this disrespect, constant data usage slow down, now I am here with a phone that is pure junk. I need a phone so now what? When I tell people my Phone company is US Cellular they disapprove with their experience or tell me a story of someone else's experience. So I am trying to post this and it will not take the US Cellular company in the box I may have wasted my time again. Oh I forgot the periods.

I don't normally write a review. However, this is the poorest customer service as I have ever experienced in my life & I have had phones over 20 years. Serious I have never been behind on a bill. Today I am 12 days late due to a discrepancy over a high phone bill over more than $50.00 additional. Now keep in mind, I have called them numerous times and keep getting the runaround. I know it is only $50 but I am tired of having money taken out because they said so and I'm upset about it being 12 days late and had to pay the full $ 398.00 to get it back on and that was part of the discrepancy. Of course, I got automated service so I had to pay full amount for restoral.
So as of today, I have decided to take my business elsewhere to T-Mobile. They will actually pay off your entire contract and for 4 phones, I will be paying $220.00 a month with my phones except replacing 1 new phone, so you go figure, pay normal bill of 355.00 for 4 lines or 220.00 for 4 phones with the exact same plan... I am not exaggerating one bit. Call T-Mobile and ask... Yes this is over $50.00 but also cutting my phone off of only 12 days!!! I have never been late whatsoever at all... Any US Cellular rep want to look up my plan/contract/bill, be my guest!!!

If you want a company that allows hacking of your devices with your phone and your contract signed internet then this is the company for you. I had phone service with this company and they did not care at all about my phone being hacked and my data being used up of upwards of 60 gigs. I even had proof and evidence of this yet it did me no good. They stated since I did not have a contract for the phone they could not look into it so I had to switch to AT&T for phone service. Ended up getting a internet router from U.S. Cellular like a dummy but I figured since I was going to be signing a contract I would not have the same issues that I encountered with the phone. They did state after all that If I had a contract they could look into stuff and help accordingly.
I received my brand new router and within the first week of having it someone had already hacked my router and used all of my data up. And keep in mind this data was suppose to last me a month but It didn't even last me a week!! Whoever had been hacking my router had used all of my data up. Us cellular stated they could not see anything on their end yet. What's funny is they were my ISP and I had a signed contract so how is that? Also gave them the IP address of a person that kept hacking my device and they would not even look into it and did not even care.
This company is atrocious and allows people to hack your devices and does not care if you are tied up in a contract or not. Was not even able to use my internet half the time and would call and let them know yet they still made me pay monthly even though I was having to hotspot off my AT&T phone because of their crappy routers and crappy internet. I would give 0 stars if I could. Unprofessional and unreliable. Also another thing when I mentioned that it seemed like someone within their company was allowing this sort of hacking on devices of mine and other people's devices as well they hung up on me which I thought was pretty funny because that told me everything I needed to know.

My phone had shut down and I couldn't even turn it on. Other employees told me I would have to take my phone to a place that works on phones because they wouldn't be able to transfer any of my pictures or contacts. Samantha not only sold me a phone I was used to, she was able to turn on my phone and transferred everything over to the new phone. She was patient and explained everything to me and helped me put names on the front. She saved me from paying someone else to fix my phone. I am so grateful to her. She works at the US Cellular store by Rudy's Tacos on W Kimberly in Davenport. She's wonderful!!

US Cellular is a terrible company. The phone service sucks. The customer support sucks. They say “no surprises,” but that is a lie. They do not honor their deals or promotions. I will get an email from them advertising a deal at all stores, I go in, and the US cellular store will not honor the deal. I have had surprise charges, even when my usage has been normal. Customer service on the phone or through the internet is a waste of time. It is always better to go into the store.

My family has had US Cellular since my mom got our first cell phone in 1995 and have stayed loyal because it was great for a while. The last few years the overall experience has deteriorated. With traveling regularly for work, I would constantly lose reception on the interstate. There was no international plan at all so I had to pay a fortune by the minute/text/megabyte to use my phone. The billing and user interface of the online account is clunky and frustrating. We finally decided to switch to T-Mobile and have been incredibly happy with our improved service almost everywhere, simpler billing, better phone deals, cheaper monthly bills, and extra perks like not being charged to use a credit card to pay the bill. BUT when our account was cancelled, so was the next autopayment.
So I tried to go online through the link in the bill email to pay and it said the account was closed. I called in instead and they charged me a fee to pay via phone. Anyway, that's my vent. I hadn't planned on writing a review even though our new service is so much better, but I'm tired of companies making you go out of your way or pay extra to get rid of their service.

Do not switch out go to U.S. Cellular. The company is terrible. They do not honor promotions or upgrades for the devices. When you purchase a new device you are charged astronomical prices of $100 for activation fees. The customer support (1800) number every single person I spoke to was rude. U.S. Cellular is a terrible company. If you want to be charged outrageous prices and lied to them go to Us cellular. The Internet service is not 5g. Not capable of being used nationwide anywhere. This company (us cellular) is a scam.

I switched 4 lines from Verizon to US Cellular. Since the start (11 months ago) of service, we have experienced horrible cell reception from home and throughout Omaha. Sometimes it will take 15 tries to send a simple text message. After numerous calls to customer service trying to come up with a solution for our inadequate cell service. Their solution was I could purchase a signal booster for $200.00 per Device. This is not a solution. When I asked if they could compensate our bill for the unreliable service I was offered a 25.00 dollar credit. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We decided to add internet to our new US Cellular plan! We got the highest plan they have since we watch Roku. They said it’s unlimited until you get to 300 then it supposedly throttles! Well within 5 days somehow our 300 were used up! And now we can’t watch anyting! Now mind you of the 5 days we were in Iowa City for our son's diagnosis with autism! So how for the love of God could we have used that much in 5 days! And when I called customer service, they didn’t help at all! Told me I had to wait till next month or think about going somewhere else!
Do NOT get scammed by their unlimited family internet plan! We are so mad! And I don’t have time to deal with them giving me the runaround while trying to raise and watch my 4 yr old autistic son! Who uses the internet to help him with his verbal skills! The salespeople lied right to our faces! Who would buy this internet when it’s only good for 5 days and now we have to pay 80$ a month for a piece of plastic that works 5 days out of the month! Worst scam artist company ever!

First and foremost, the actual phone service is horrible. I had zero bars in a lot of areas and less than 2 bars almost everywhere I was in the midwest to include KC. I had to Hotspot off my work phone for nearly 6 months until I could get the customer service to finally let me out of my contract. That's where the troubles only get worse. I was told to first try switching from 5G to 4G LTE which didn't change my service at all. I finally got through to a manager after a week who told me my fee of over $750 per phone would be waived for early termination due to no service. I was also told to turn my phones into the store by a certain date to not be billed for the next cycle. I did that only to be told at the store that I had to mail the phones in.
I did that only to be told my 3rd phone was not cancelled and my bill would go through. I called and got that changed to where I would no longer owe anything. When I asked for confirmation, because I can no longer trust this company to follow through, I was told that notes were out in the system and they can't email me confirmation or even give me any proof that this is how it was handled. Skip forward 2 weeks. I get a bill for $1600. I call customer service again, where after 2 calls and 1 1/2 hours they tell me that they already received the phones and to go ahead and have me pay the $1600 and I will be credited. Are you serious? Do I look like someone that would believe you after all this?
Finally got them to again tell me everything would be waived and this time I have it all recorded, because it is against their policy to send me their notes confirming all of this. I hope this is the last of my business with US Cellular. This is my fair warning to stay far far away from them. Do not fall for their cheap introductory prices. If it is too late for you and you already are customers of this dreaded company, may God have mercy on your soul.

I've been with US cellular for 11 months. When I got my service plan last May the rep in store lied to my face 3 times. Now I'm not receiving a service I pay for. Can't open apps due to no internet connection. I pay for unlimited data! This has been an issue for over a month. Chat..calls..in store..no one has come up with one more quick fix that actually works. I've wasted so much time..effort..gas..for absolutely no positive results. They don't care. I'm still paying my bill in full and that's all that matters. I'm sure if I skipped a month..boom I'm done. Too bad I couldn't do that to them.. Didn't solve my problem? Boom..you're outta here..go home..no job. So I continue to pay..I continue chat..calls and going in store to seek the help they won't come thru with. Today may be the day the ** inside me comes out when I enter their store once again! I'm sick of all the run around I'm getting from us cellular!!!!

They would receive 0 stars but you can't leave a 0 star review. They don't deserve a single star. I cannot seem to get out of their billing cycle. I'm stuck paying for service I no longer have and for my new service. They cannot help you. You are first on hold forever, then transferred from department to department with no one able to provide assistance. Since I canceled and was on a prepaid plan I can no longer log into my account online. But when I call in they say it isn't prepaid and that's why I continue to be billed. I'm going to have to stop payment through my bank if this continues. I would avoid them at all costs.

I decided to go with U.S. Cellular because a family member had service with them. I got the offer for a free phone and got things started. I bought the screen protector, but it started bubbling in a week. Went to another store and had to get a better screen protector that's done the job, no complaints. I also got the back protector. No biggie. Lately I haven't been able to make some calls that are even in my area code and the call states that this service or number is vacant. Vacant? What does that mean. I called the 611 number and they tried a phone with a different company to see if anything was different. Nope number is vacant. I usually try to look at reviews first, but nope didn't do that. So I'm so not happy. I can't afford to go out and get another phone. I wouldn't recommend US Cellular.

I had an issue with a promotion credit on 2 phones being charged to may account in full. 1st time I called they told me no problem they would take care of it. They didn't so I called back or take care of it so 2 weeks later I called again. I was told, "Sorry there's nothing we can do." When I told them, "I'm sure there is, you told me you would take care of this." I was transferred to a "manager" who told me he was very sorry he would have to take some time to work on it and call me back. Of course he didn't call me back. Why lie to me? I've never had worse customer service by any company I've ever dealt with.

This company wishes they could compare to even Straight Talk in our area. They definitely are the worst local cellular provider in the State of Maine. Having tried this experiment for the past 8 months, I thought I would give them time. If you go to the border of New Hampshire, you get zero service whatsoever. When I asked why, they told me, verbatim, "You are a month by month customer and your data does not have a priority when you are not in the state".
Dropped calls, all the time. Rarely have internet when not on a wireless wifi network, data is garbage. Customer Service, all about sales and commission, if you ain't buying they ain't trying. I have enough, I had to switch to Verizon. I feel like I got robbed and stolen from by this company. If you don't have guarantees in writing with this company, find any other provider. Again Walmart Straighttalk will give you better phone coverage and service than US Cellular. They need to do better or they will fold and be a memory to everyone, not just me.

Lies lies lies. Free phones, not true. Good service, not true. Credits, not true. No phones in your store but yet charge a restocking fee. Sit for 4 hours signing a 2 year contract for a 1,000 free phone but yet charge you activation fee. Pathetic. You don't have service where you live. They say use wifi calling. Can we not get a no service discount? Nope bill continues to go up and up I rate a big zero.

I have had U.S. Cellular for a few years. I ONLY used them because they were my only option. Recently, I spoke with someone about my signal continuously dropping. The agent said he issued a $50 credit which is completely inadequate but I agreed just to get off the ridiculously long calls that plague this company. Of course the credit was NEVER issued and upon my second call I was told they have no record of it. Even canceling took several agents. DO NOT even think about US Cellular if you have a second option. Even then, maybe unplug and consider going without, this whole company isn't worth a 5 cents.

I have been a customer since they have been around. Up until a phone was put on my account without my consent, they were great. I have no problem with paying for the phone but they are not allowing me to turn off the number but to continue paying for the line which is not needed. Just wanted to switch the phone to another line and they act like I'm trying to get out of paying for the phone that they allowed to be put on my account in the first place. I have the phone back but don't need that line in particular. Once I do get the money to pay for that phone we are moving to Verizon like so many other people.

I have no idea, how this company is even up and operating with the all around-terrible service they provide.
-Customer service is 100% terrible.
-Actual cell service is spotty and sometimes I didn't even receive calls or texts.
-Billing is inaccurate & inconsistent. I've been with this company for 1.5years and discovered they're double billing customers 2mths at once - each month. I discovered this after paying over $400 a month clearing the bill "in full payment"....for 3 months. That's over $1,000 in 3months when I was originally told my monthly bill for 3lines was going to be $150 including phone payments and insurance for all 3 phone.
- 2 of 3 phones broke, then wanted to charge $200 to replace each phone...not sure what the point of monthly ins. Was for ??? Was told ins. Wouldn't cover it because phones were purchased before certain date in Sept 2019..??
- Paid phone off on my 3rd line and my bill jumped up $400 - to - $600+. Made it clear to 2 employees this phone was being paid off to transfer phone/number to a new carrier and was told "ok" they immediately processed payment for $130 then refused to unlock number for transfer because there was an outstanding balance of $230.... Then management stated they NEVER should have taken payment for phone with an outstanding balance & never should have gave the ok to transfer number. They also REFUSED to refund $ and was literally told by a supervisor that "At the end of the day, it's US Cellular's money, not mine".
-Ended up going 3 days with no phone.
This company is unbelievably rude and clearly do not properly train their employees with accurate information and refuse to compensate the customers due to their incompetent training and misleading information. *Also they're charging for the following:-7$ to pay over the phone.
-5$ each time you call and talk to an associate.
-35$ connection fee per line every time you don't make "full payment"... Ya know, the 2months they want you to pay in advance.

(0 stars) This cell phone provider has absolutely the worst cell phone reception I have ever experienced! I live right in the heart of my city just near downtown and I can't get hardly any cell phone service in anywhere around my home. When I address this issue with U.S cellular.. they immediately try to sell me some booster device, what a joke 'I already pay them $160 monthly. No way am I forking out more money to them', or they tell me that I can turn on Wi-Fi calling! I should not have use the data that I pay for my internet "which is through a completely different company" to make U.S. cellular's product work better, this is ridiculous.
I have visitors that use anything from Boost Mobile to Straight Talk to AT&T or Verizon and they get a full signal in my area with no problem. You could probably even get better service with a piece of string and two Dixie cups! Not only is their phone service deplorable, but they reel you in with false advertisements, claiming they have unlimited data when they actually slow you down to almost completely unusable data after you reach 22 gigs!
You will literally wait 5 minutes for a single image to load on your phone once you've reached 22gigs, customer service over the phone is horrible most reps I've spoken to sound as if they've either had a bad day or they hate their job and they talk to you with the ugliest attitude and as if you're interrupting them, and if you go into the store it's not much better cuz they act like they don't even see you walk in the door. As soon as my device is paid off I am done with U.S Cellular, I am taking my device and my phone number to a new provider.

Prior to leaving the US I contacted US Cellular and explained my travel plans and that it was essential that I have cell service as the number is registered to various security apps and accounts. They advised me to upgrade my package which I did. I checked the cities I would be in while in Mexico would have service all of which was confirmed. In Mexico I have had no signal, literally nothing. The iPhone is set up correctly. I'm basically screwed. US cellular have consistently made mistakes throughout my using them which is why I was so thorough in checking first. I contacted them to resolve this and they can't, they will only give me a partial credit. No apology, no refund for the upgrade, no refund. They lie to customers and accept zero responsibility for their consistent errors. They are amongst the worst companies I've ever used, tbh I'm super surprised they are even allowed to operate with consumer protection.
