    MOST HORRIBLE service; I wish there was a rating below 1 star. Reported issue with Vizio 60 inch TV display in October 2017. Issue still not resolved; gotten the runaround since this issue was reported. I have had to pay for cable service for a TV that does not work. Went through all the major holiday with a non-functional TV. Long hold times (over 1 hour) trying to get someone on the phone, and then passed around to multiple persons and having to repeat the issue over and over again. Have made multiple claims and lost time from work waiting for your service guy to show up ill-prepared not having a clue why he showed up and just to do the same troubleshooting steps that was already done on the phone. I NEED A REPLACEMENT TV. Hope I NEVER have to deal with you. HORRIBLE and FRUSTRATING customer experience.

    After the Verizon store determined that they could not fix my phone, they gave me a card with the Asurion info on it. I went home, logged in and filled out the very simple form online and I had a brand new phone delivered to my office the next day.     I have made 9 attempts to receive a prepaid envelope to send my device in from my Sept. Claim. An envelope was never received with my package and I had called and requested an envelope be sent in Sept. In November when I submitted another claim, I was charge $420 for the device from Sept. I have made 8 additional attempts to get an envelope, one through email over the website. I have been told every time an envelope will be mailed.

    Once I was transferred over to customer affairs where I was told the shipping information will be emailed to me (after another person said they would do the same). That was never received. Then I was told by another person that Fido accounts cannot have shipping information emailed but they will place an urgent notice on my file which means it will be reviewed in 24 hours, which still drew no success. I'm done waiting. I cannot fathom how it can possibly take so many attempts for an envelope. It has caused so much stress financially when it never should have happened to begin with.

    Unsuccessful in reaching Asurion customer service to resolve a charge for a phone shipped and refused by me. AT&T stated they placed a claim with Asurion. Asurion has not responded since October 2017. It is now January 2018. I have been a client of AT&T for 30 Years. The relationship between Asurion and AT&T that allows Asurion to charge my AT&T account but AT&T not be responsible for a dispute is not good customer service. AT&T customer service stated policy is Asurion must issue instructions to AT&T for credit to be issued.

    After having an insured iPhone 8 Plus for three months, the screen broke. Verizon told me to contact Asurion for a repair. It took an entire day to get the paperwork filled out to Asurion's satisfaction. After that, they told me that they could not repair an iPhone 8 screen (phone too new; screens not yet available). Upon asking where their nearest repair facility was, I was told a city about 500 miles from my home. They volunteered to send me a new phone for the $200 deductible. I called a local tech repair company. They said they would repair the phone's screen for $100 and it would take about 15 minutes. What is the Asurion insurance for? I cancelled it.

    Replacement phone - This rating is for Asurion not Verizon. Asurion did very well... Not happy at all with Verizon. I went to a local Verizon store (Streets at Southpoint). They switched or did something with the sim card but could not transfer data. The individual that I dealt with told me to go to another store that had the "cord" or wiring and computer/program that would be able to complete the transfer. It took me a couple of days but I did get to another store. The individual at this store told me that they no longer did that (data transfer) at any store. She then gave me a sheet with directions to download something or some app and do it myself. I tried that and my old phone said that it was no longer in service. In short I have not been able to transfer any of the data from my old phone to the new. I'm pretty sure that my contract with Verizon is "up" and I'm going to switch to another vendor.

    If you purchase an iPhone for 500 bucks and pay 50 bucks of insurance per year. That's 600 bucks. Then when you file a claim and you charge 150 for a replacement that cost 25 dollars to make in China. That feels like you've been robbed.     The phone replacement I was sent froze and was unusable within 15 days of receipt. I called, went through tests on the bad replacement, and was promised a new replacement where I was staying in California (not my home address) and given a specific date. A day later (when the phone should have been on its way) I received an email saying I needed to complete my request online. I responded to the email that I had already completed the request. I heard nothing in response and the phone did not arrive.

    When it did not arrive I followed the link in the email which indicated I was to call the 888 number. I did so today and my new phone is on the way now. I was told that the reason for the email (and necessary call-in) was to confirm the different address - and was done by Asurion's auditors. Asurion has thus delayed receipt of my new phone by more than a week. I'm sure I'm not the first to have this problem. I see the need for two process changes. 1) Inform the user when having a phone sent to a new address of the need to have someone else confirm that new address, and 2) provide a specific email that allows confirmation rather than a "generalized" email that appears to take you through the process again but requires you to call in. I hope you'll fix this for others.

    This was the most difficult experience for something I pay for. I call in to place a claim for my Samsung tablet. I was asked to answer some question that's was supposedly public record being a victim of identify theft. I couldn't answer those question and csr became irritated. I told her none of those where things about me. Ask how else I could verify my identity. I was told I would have to wait for something in the mail. I called Verizon my service provider. They tried to call back after she verified who I was and they wouldn't accept that. Finally I would told to email my Driver License and another form of ID. I was not happy at all about the hoops I had to jump through to get the service I pay for. I don't know if it is because Asurion is the insurance company for all cell carrier. I have dropped my coverage. I would rather buy a new phone than have to jump through these hoops ever again.

    I have filed 2 claims for myself, phone and iPad in addition to helping my boyfriend because of his language barrier. The customer service is so disorganized and uninformed, not to mention half of them are jerks! I have been repeatedly hung up and dropped calls with no call backs. I have been giving completely opposite information on each call. Most of them didn't even know what department to send me to or how to help. The worst part is sending devices out through UPS, but they pay the carrier a cheaper price to leave. It at a local ghetto gas station for pick up if you are not home.

    I refuse to visit where I live. I was sent a broken charger cord for my iPad and after 1 hour and 2 phones calls back, no one knew how to assist me in getting a new one sent out, so I have to buy a new cord myself. That's BS. This past week trying to get my bf's phone took 6 days...and we are expecting it to arrive today, but at this point we bought a new phone and will return it when this comes in. I should be able to choose my insurance company because this ones sucks! Fix your customer service and shipping. It's horrendous!!!

    We purchased this coverage via the AT&T Mobile Insurance program with Asurion. We called to have a cracked screen replaced and they had no options available for screen repair in my area (Atlanta metropolitan area) so they offer to have my device replaced for a $168. Why buy screen repair coverage and then the third party vendor gets to collect the premium for coverage and then just opt out of providing the coverage they have listed in the agreement. Sounds like fraud to me! AT&T should have a reputable third party vendor for these type agreements. The customer service agents at Asurion offered rotten customer service!

    I filed a claim 10 days ago. I checked the status online periodically, but it stopped updating after 2 days... funny, that's their suggested turnaround time. Now that I have been calling daily for 4 days, I am told that they cannot verify my account while my provider is processing my next invoice? They have no outbound communication other than approval or rejection of the claim... for the past 4 days the customer service reps assure me that I should get an email "tonight/that night"! I realize that my claim occurred during the holidays, and I think I was reasonable in leaving things be from the 23-26 of December... but my file still says "resolution by December 22" and the reps when I call still say I should hear from them in the next 24hrs?! Meanwhile, shards of glass falling from my screen hourly and dropped calls or I cannot answer calls because the phone is damaged. I am now just a hostage to the bs!!! Not impressed.

    The reps at the Verizon store were not able to explain the replacement procedure. I brought in my broken phone and they handed me a brochure, but it was pretty obvious that they weren’t familiar with the process. The written information contained a phone number. I called the number and it directed me to a website. The website asked me for basic information. It was fairly straightforward until the part about turning off “find my phone.” There is a threatening message about a $500 fee if this step is not completed. Since my phone was unusable, I couldn’t turn off this feature. The website used to process the request doesn’t actually show you how to turn off “find my phone” in this situation. Instead, it links you to an Apple website.

    It turns out that you can’t turn it off until AFTER your new phone arrives, but this took an exhausting amount of investigation on my part. The Apple website wasn’t helpful and it took a few phone calls before I was sure that I wasn’t going to get charged the $500 fee. Other than this hiccup, I was pleased with my experience. Everyone I talked to on the phone was friendly and did their best to answer my questions or direct me to someone who could. My new phone arrived swiftly and included straightforward directions for setting it up.

    Again, my only complaint is that there is a threat of a $500 fee without an adequate explanation of how to turn off the “find my phone” feature. Apple sends a code to your device. If your phone is broken, you can’t get this code. You can’t turn off “find my phone” until the new phone arrives, but this information isn’t written anywhere.

    I am currently on my third phone from Asurion, and each has had a problem causing me to return it. They finally agreed to ship me a new, instead of refurbished phone, but that was three weeks ago. I cannot make calls on my current phone or use the GPS system, which is causing a significant daily hassle. I've tried to follow up using their online customer service live chat, but that department is unable to help me for some reason.     Asurion answers quickly and sends out a phone promptly. The speed in which this is done is great since I do a lot of work on my phone. Unfortunately, you still pay a decent amount for insurance and a deductible to get one. I only wish the phones were nicer. Since they are “like new” they can have issues that interfere with the phone screen or battery.

    I put my claim through online and I was directed to print out a form fill it out and fax it over with my ID. I did that, then I got an email back saying that the ID number that they give me belonged to a man so then I had to call up and tell them what happened and then they rectified the problem. So overall I guess the service was ok. Mistakes happen, people are human. At least they were able to fix the problem quickly.

    I initially filed a claim because of a cracked screen. The replacement phone had issues with the microphone and speaker. Callers couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear them. I called Asurion who suggested a factory reset and waiting 48 hours to see if it resolved itself. I called back a couple days later after that didn't resolve the problem. They offered to send another replacement to be delivered next day. It only took about 12 hours from the time I called until I had the new phone in my possession. This phone works perfectly.

    August 2017 I called in to AT&T to start the process for a replacement iPhone6. I received the replacement which was a refurbished phone and was charged the deductible of $225. Two weeks later I got my non-working phone in the mail with a letter saying there was physical damage and they would be charging me the full price of the phone. Why?? I could submit a claim for a damaged screen and just pay the $225 instead of the $699 for the replacement phone. NO ONE offered this option and circumstances in my life left this undisputed. I figured at least I would have a working phone and the warranty.

    Fast forward December 2017. The replacement phone is not working: battery is failing, glitches, crashing and restarting. Same issues with the previous phone. I called at&t and spoke to tech support. They said they didn’t have the correct IMEI number and now that they have updated the information it should be better. Nope. Still having issues.

    Called again. They said, “Well you should still be under warranty so go ahead and reach out to Asurion.” Called them and spoke to claims. They can only do so much so they transferred me to warranty. I speak with the representative who explains nothing can be done, I only had a 30 day warranty. Um, how??? You charged me the FULL price of an iPhone and sent me a non-working refurbished phone and say you only have 14 days. So it went from 30 to 14 days. Then I speak with a supervisor Ellis, who says nothing can be done, I can pay the deductible. Nope. Transferred to Mae/May a manager and explained the issue. She said nothing can be done but she will see from the claims department what can they do. She gets back on the line and says they can meet me half way with the deductible.

    This issue is now going on 3 hours. I said fine. She assured me everything was notated and she will transfer me over to claims. Guess who was disconnected?? After 3 hours I decided to try again the following day. Called in again. Spoke to Theresa. She says she sees no notes validating what I was saying. I asked then to speak to a manager and was connected to Marta. Marta did not care at all and said, “I’ll transfer you to customer care.” Didn’t do any further research just wanted to get me off the line. Not happy at all!!! Now 2 more hours wasted I’m in contact with Jordan who transferred me to Sy the manager. She was helpful and understood where I was coming from. I wasn’t asking for the latest and greatest. I was only asking for a working phone. She then transferred me to Gio in pro tech support. He said he agreed I should have been sent a new phone since I paid a new phone price.

    Gio explains I need to get in touch was warranty and see what they can do. I said I did and explain I spoke with May. He was able to see the notes and confirmed what I said. He then transferred me to warranty claims and I was once again disconnected. Omg. I waited another 8 mins to talk to Mia who says they didn’t charge me the full price that she did her research. I said, “Fine, then if that wasn’t the case and I was only charged the deductible, why isn’t my phone covered.” Then she saw it was for an iPad not my phone. She now wants to transfer me again to claims because “great news, you have insurance and can submit a claim.” I lost it. I asked her to find the notes from May and explain what I needed to do next! I was so over explaining myself repeatedly.

    Luckily she read the notes again and got permission from her supervisor to waive the deductible. Again, not asking for the latest and bestest iPhone out just the 6 or one that works. Glad I was able to get replacement device after two days and 6 hours of my time wasted! Word to the wise, take photos of your phone before sending it back. I was screwed because they said I had physical damage and I had no proof there wasn’t.
