Ordered an upgraded modem. After reviewing the literature that came with the modem and checking my equipment from the literature accompanying the modem I found my current modem met the requirements. So I contacted Mediacom for instructions. I returned the modem a couple days later to their office. The personnel there was very friendly and helpful.

I have been extremely satisfied with Mediacom account service for over 6 years. The company have provided the family with excellent customer service and have assist us the financial billing discount issues due to some medical Veteran disability encounters. The customer rep I spoke with was very helpful and did what they could, but I was not so happy that there was little to no useful promotions available since I wasn't a new customer. Since Mediacom is the only wired option available in my area I have little to no recourse except to overpay for service.

Despite having a technician come out and "supposedly" fixing the problem, we are still experiencing problems of going to a screen saver, and we have to press the "OK" button to bring back the picture. I don't know what else to tell you, other than this is frustrating! When we leave the house, we leave the TV on, however, when we get back home, it's back to the screen saver!

We told the person on the phone that we had a bad cable box and they said they would send us 4 new ones and that they would arrive the next day. They never showed up and no one called to let us know we would not be getting them.

The people I dealt with were very professional and friendly. When she put in the order for the Eero and Xumo it did not take that long to receive it. Yes I would recommend people to always call Mediacom for different plans. When I received everything. I had some questions and I was able to get the help I needed immediately.

All too often the programming is interrupted by buffering. Constantly requires unplugging and rebooting the entire system. No one wants to pay for an inferior product. Since a cable runs to my house, how is it possible that the service you are supposed to be delivering is so undependable ?

The employee at Mediacom was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly and he got my request finished in a few minutes. I called Mediacom to find out if there were any senior type discounts for my 1 gig service (for me). She told me that there currently no programs like that available. She said the only thing she found was the package for the 400 mbps. I had told her repeatedly that I didn't want to reduce the speed. All in all, the rep was very polite. Unfortunately there was nothing she could do for me. I live in a rural area, there are a couple of services, I'm watching for specials and may switch.
Updated Review: I was contacted by Mediacom and they apologized for my grievances, which are that there is not currently a program in effect for senior citizens. I now feel that not every company needs to offer discounts to senior citizen. I appreciate that they took the time to call and speak with me.

We are experiencing video interruptions and internet interruptions as well, I left ATT for these very reasons and was hoping for a better result with Mediacom, we have been with Mediacom for 3 months and I am not very happy with our service, I’m not sure what the remedy is but I would like a response to my concerns!

I chatted with a representative with Mediacom about changing my monthly allowance on My account. I learned that there was not a plan that would work for me in my economic position. So I will remain in the one. I’m in now and just pay more for if I go over on my plan allowance.

Just wanted to see if I was able to get a lower rate on my internet bill and the representative was helpful and did everything they could to help me. I did have questions and if the representative didn't have answers they did their best to find these answers for me which I thought were satisfactory. Everything worked out and they were able to once again lower my rate a little bit which I can understand. Their hands are tied by policies and so on and so forth so overall I would say that I am happy with the help.

The tech came out as scheduled and looked around and was telling me that there was no tap close enough to my home for the internet. I am still without internet and have not received an update yet. How am I supposed to run a small business without internet nowadays??

I love Mediacom when I am home, sometimes I think it is too expensive. But when I go away for the summer, I still have to pay to keep my account active so I don't have to sign up again when I get home, which is more money than if I had to resign up. I pay approx. $36.00 a month to keep it active. That's $216.00 for 6 months. That's 6 months that I don't even use it. I think this is not fair. I am 75 and low income. I know I can find another provider, but again I love mediacom.

The internet service has been working fine. Installation was sloppy and done poorly. The tech recommended a wall mount with a nice faceplate. What I got was the cable connection coming to far into the wall and the faceplate not attached. It was poorly done. If I had known it would look so tacky, I would have had the cable come through the floor.

The workers tried hard to fix the problems. It did require time & when all was completed, it has since then, worked perfect! I do appreciate them coming when I called - as it did take more than one visit to get everything working well. Mediacom is good about setting up repair appointment when I call as well as keeping you filled in on arrival to your address.

Technician called and introduced himself before arrival. Arrival was in the time that was estimated, checked equipment, explained what was wrong, he had to return to office for a new modem but again returned in timely manner and the problem, was resolved, also checked that the tv was working, before he left. Very pleased with the service.

I was able to easily order a new modem with new technology after being told and it arrived via FedEx. I attempted the self-installation, but the verification failed, but luckily a phone call to support got it set up. I tried to schedule a pickup for the return, but ended up having to bus down to a drop off box, sadly on Labor Day weekend, so it sat there for a few days before being picked up.

We have had very few issues, most of which arise from power outages! The internet service has been stable and consistent. It is great for my grandson's homework assignments and for whatever I need - email, social media, shopping. I would recommend this service to all of my friends and neighbors.

My wifi went out Sunday AM. Resetting router did not help. Called tech service who was not able to correct the problem, Was told a tech would be here Tues. No show. Called again late Tues afternoon. The individual I talked to then was pleasant, apologized for missed appointment, but also noted her schedule did not show an appointment had been scheduled, and then she proceeded to correct the problem at her end by setting up the network again.. Yea!!

I’ve had reliable service, but my only complaint is the pricing. As a long-time customer, I expect better pricing than a new customer due to loyalty. My pricing recently jump $35 dollars via my diligence by contacting customer support they were able to get it down some but it shouldn’t be this hard.

Doesn’t work. Called customer service for a replacement. Was told a technician had to come out. Also told I would get a call back with an appointment or to schedule one. No one has called in over a week. Will they ever call? It’s a flip of a coin if we ever hear from them.

Problem was resolved but ended up being a time needs to pass to go out again. However the technician was able to do a rollback and fix it the same day. The fiber ended up needing to be replaced due to possibly the Mediacom contractors that first installed it fracturing it somewhere. No further connectivity issues.

Taylor the installer was awesome! Very good worker. I could tell he liked is his job and wants to do the best job possible. Very through!!! I'm very happy that the Internet outage problems have been fixed. It had been going out daily for the last month. It seems to be fixed, but there is a coax cable running across my front yard and driveway. Seems like they rerouted the signal for some reason. Hopefully, it will be moved or whatever soon. Also, I would like a credit on my account for all the outage time, minimum 6 hours a day since August 4, sometimes more. Thank you.

The 2 service techs who fixed the problem were very knowledgeable and professional as well as respectful and nice. They reviewed the numbers and followed the cable line to each television and the computer. They worked on the box on the outside of the house as well. They stayed until the problem was resolved.

The prices are extremely high. I need the internet for my kids to go to school. I almost can't afford it. I called and changed my plan and hopefully that'll help. I should have been offered a better plan once the company seen the usage rate. I also don't like all of the outages that keep happening with the service. If I'm paying that much I shouldn't have to worry about outages as much.

I have had Mediacom internet for many, many years, (8+) and have only experienced a hand full of problems, that were all solved rather quickly. I have been on a very affordable package that has more than enough data for my family. We rely on mediacom internet for homework, recipes, tv watching and many other things, it is always fast and there when we need it. Thank you mediacom for providing my family with an amazing service.

The instructions that came with the new router are confusing as it wants me to hook extra cables that my current box doesn't have. I ask for a technician to come out but was told that's an extra fee. Mediacom contacted me to replace my current router. Why should I have to pay for an installation Mediacom wants me to do? This doesn't make any sense. When did extra fees start for a technician to come out? The new router is still in the box and will probably be there until Mediacom ask me to replace it.

The customer service is terrible, the quality of the product is poor when compared to other providers and when you have an issue they are rude and do not follow through with actions. I had a new modem in hand from them and shortly after I suspended service as it is a rental home that was unoccupied. A few months later I continued service and a technician came out and hooked everything up. He brought a modem with him and took the one I had previously received. A year later, I get collection agency calls. My account was up to date but they sent the modem cost to collections without ever contacting me to state they thought it was in my possession. I informed them that the technician took it and they said they would put in a ticket to look for it.
2 months later, another collection notice, I call and they had never put in the ticket. She was rude and stated that I was responsible for the modem and after a long painful argument they agreed to put in the ticket to have the warehouse look for it. Another 6 weeks later I call back for an update and the ticket was never put in. I ask to write it off or trust their customer that I did not take their modem, as it would be useless to me anyway. They transferred me to billing where I was told they need to put in a ticket. Meanwhile this has been in collections for months and I am fighting with them to keep it off my credit report.
I have spent hours on the phone and as of now it is still not resolved.... I am not sure what to do but it seems like an obvious strategy to wait me out until I give up and pay it. This is predatory and probably illegal but what recourse do I have.... Terrible company, find someone else.

I’ve had Mediacom for years, and I've got their cable, internet, and phone services. Their phone and cable were better than their internet and Wi-Fi. So, their service was okay, but the price was horrible. It just kept rising. They’d quote you one price, and then every month or so, they’d add a little more on your bill, until I left Mediacom about a month ago.
Their service at first was good, and then a lot of times it wouldn’t be so good. It seemed like it had a lot of outages, but I still had it. And then I had to finally give up the cable end of it because of the price, and I just kept the internet. And then the price they quoted me for the internet started going up like the rest of it. So, the quality of their services wasn’t as bad as they just priced it so much that you couldn’t afford it.
And it’s not easy to get in contact with them. I know when I moved one time and was taking their equipment back, I could not go out to the office. And they would always be closed during business hours. So, that was difficult. But you usually just do the automated stuff, and they’ll tell you if you’ve got a problem or maybe there’s an outage in your area.
When there was an outage, I’d call them in. And usually, if it was something that required a service person to come to your home, it might be two weeks or so before they could get out, and you're without a service. If it was something they could reboot or do from the office, it might not be two or three days.

I currently use Mediacom to watch the smart TV, play my game systems, and stream. I love Mediacom's quality. I'm never getting rid of it. It's very fast. I have no problem with the representatives. If I have a problem, they fix it. It's very easy to get in contact with them. I just call a number and get a hold of them. I told my friends that Mediacom has a really good internet.

Mediacom, in Lake County, CA has no "customer service" to speak of and internet is glitchy at best and way overpriced after initial discount. I've been to office twice (20 mile round trip each time) and no one there to surrender equipment to so I can close account. 800 phone number system hung up on me twice, I'm sitting in 95 degree heat waiting over 40 minutes (past their supposed open time) so far, for someone to show.... How many stars should they get?

My service is now slower and inconsistent service. Replaced modem/router and installed a eero, but now my tv is constantly going in and out. Has not been like this for several years. Thought the new equipment would be better than my own. Also, my AV receiver no longer works for my surround sound. Never had an issue before. It seems to be unplugged and not functional since the new installations.

Called up to see how to lower my bill. See if there were any specials running at this time. Your staff was very friendly and answered all my questions to a great satisfaction. Fixed all problems I was having, one was I’m on autopay, and for some reason I still owed $0.12. Speed test was bad, but somehow fixed itself. Like stated before, everyone was very helpful. Mediacom was the only provider available in my area since I’m out in the middle of the country. When I originally signed up, it was for internet and phone, but I haven’t used the landline in a long time. My husband had to call them a while back to get the service to run faster, but other than that, it’s been okay. Overall, the service has been all right. However, I think it’s very overpriced compared to what everybody else I know is paying. I pay 130 a month just for internet.

I’ve been using Mediacom for all my cable, internet, and telephone for probably about 15 years. Whenever I’ve had to speak with them, the experience has been very good. I used to have DirecTV too, but I wasn’t happy with it. I had both DirecTV and Mediacom just to get my local channels, which meant paying for two services. So I dropped DirecTV and stuck with Mediacom. I used to like their pricing, but it’s just kept going up and up. I’d like to get it a little bit lower.

Initial rep visit was good and he ordered the replacement equipment for me. Equipment arrived quickly and was in good shape. However, once I connected the new modem, a different modem I have in a separate unit stopped working. I contacted Mediacom via the telephone number provided. First interaction with automated answer/help system was not helpful and a complete waste of my time. Second interaction with a human rep was also time-consuming and did not resolve anything. My time spent on the phone (not counting time installing the new modem, etc.) was now close to half an hour -- wasted. The third interaction was with a Mediacom IT guy (Garrett) who was terrific. He ID'd and fixed the problems that had been caused by some sort of mis-coding on your part.

The new TiVo Box works pretty well. However, I was disappointed that the new Tivo box and my TV would not "pair" with my sound bar. Is there any way that could be fixed? We had an extended period of time from June 28 to July 7 when most to all of the TV stations were either showing NO reception or extremely pixilating video and audio; and very much of the time our internet was also not working. Service was called; they came out and replaced a cable from our house to the box and that still did not fix the problem. Then service mysteriously resumed with no technician doing anything inside our house or outside lie. That shows the breakdown in service was NEVER in side our house. On 7 July I talked to the billing and was told some $71 and change would be credited for the duration of outage. I just received my current billing and find out it was NOT credited on my new billing. As a 25 year customer I EXPECT some justified attention and goodwill be accorded this extremely poor customer service.

I've had Mediacom for years. They’re the only ones with Wi-Fi that reaches out to my garage. The only thing that we can technically afford is internet package for $120 a month. And they sent me these Roku, Firestick-looking things. But my TV already does all that so I don't even use half the equipment. Mediacom has an app. When there are lines down, you text the number and they’ll tell you if there’s an outage, and they’ll send somebody out. It’s easy because I don't like talking to people.

We’ve had a positive experience with Mediacom. We had Mediacom, in the past and we moved into a home that our son owned previously that had Mediacom, and we haven’t had any issues with it. We have the internet for streaming and work, and the quality of service has been good. I called them last week because I needed to put an extender in the front of my house, and I couldn't get it going, and she was able to help me within 5 minutes, so it was quick.

Mediacom is superb. It’s absolutely the very best when it comes to service. I don't have a problem with Mediacom. The reps are very business-like, professional, friendly, answer any questions I have and impart their knowledge. They're very skilled in what they do. I live in a condo complex, and Mediacom is the only choice I have for cable. I’ve had them for four years and it's expensive, but they're very good about helping you if you have issues. I just call them up on the phone and they’re very courteous. They do a good job.

I've had Mediacom for about four years. It's the only cable that was available in the area. I’ve had bad experiences with them in other areas, but here, I've had very good experience, very good technicians, and not had any issues. It's been much more positive this go-around. I was getting messages stating I was unenrolled in auto pay. Then one stating I was enrolled within a very short time period. It was confusing. Which was it? So I called them. We got it straightened out. Obviously their automated system was screwing up somehow due to messages were sent to me that were contradictory in nature.

Had new router and accessories installed. 5stars. I have lost service only briefly 3 times during thunderstorms. Before new installation, I was losing signal 4 or 5 times per day for hours at a time. Outage happened at peak times of 8-10 am and evenings 8:30 until 10-11 pm. Weekend loss was very frequent.

There were specific instructions on the order, and that was that the technician needed to instruct the elderly women of her new remote. As she went to dinner, 20 feet away in the dinning room, the technician had finished, left without communicating to the resident in regards of how to use the remote. The resident’s family lives out of town and this is very frustrating when I specified not to leave without instructing how to use the remote.

I have a son on Hospice who watches TV on patio. That was the remote that\went missing. Was told it would be delivered the next day with FedEx. Never arrived. At least two times and often more the internet is interrupted. The internet usually restarts by itself but it is very annoying. I have had to call a few times to have it reset. I am not sure I would recommend Mediacom to others if the issue with the internet continues.

I called Mediacom today intending to cancel my home phone and cable tv. After speaking with Sarah from Illinois she was able to come up with a plan that we could afford, so we are keeping the internet service and cable tv. Sarah was so patient with me, even though I asked many questions. She absolutely deserves 5 stars. If it wasn't for her, Mediacom would have lost a customer of 15 years.

I lost the internet and the first gentleman came out and checked everything and said to purchase a 5port gigabit switch and explained what to do when I get it. The instructions didn't work because he forgot to tell me I would need a new connector for the eero to the switch to make it work with the other plug in items. Another gentleman came out and showed me the correct way to connect and provided me with the cable to fix the problem. Lost a lot of time from remote working to get this straighten out.

I have been trying to get someone out here for 6 weeks (4 phone calls). I have two downed lines. They are still connected. Finally Thursday I was set up for an appointment on Friday. I changed my schedule so I would be home all day. No one showed up or called.

My bills continue to rise and for someone who does not watch television very often it seems unfair. Plus the programming content leaves a lot to be desired! The representative was fine. He seemed to have limited resources to offer. My rate discount is expiring and I always call in a get a new promotion..Not this time my bill is going from $90 to $132 all the discounts are only for new customers apparently unless I want a free cell phone for a yr. I have an offer much less from surf internet I don’t want to switch but it’s like half the price. I would have liked the $65 two yr promotion I was informed I’d need to cancel service for 3months then I could get a new promotion. He gave me my date and info so I could call back and cancel service by sept 22nd. So I suppose that is what I shall do.

The reason for the 3 stars is the constant maintenance and outrages during the day for hours for consecutive days. Otherwise when the service is up it is excellent. The customer service and ability to change plans as needed has been excellent as well.

Technician left without checking to see if the phone worked. He failed to connect the phone cord to the back of the modem. He never returned for his call back. It took us awhile to figure out the cord had never been connected. My dad is 96 and would never have figured this out.

I called because we are out of service. Due date has to be pushed per my request. Drop has not be buried yet although it’s been located 3-4 times. Service went in sometime in April. The representatives I spoke were very nice. I had hoped we would finally get good internet service. I’m still hoping.
Updated Review: Everyone has been quite nice. I’m glad I didn’t cancel my appointment because it turned out to be one of the machines in the house. The guys who buried the wire got the job done. I hope this will be all that’s needed. I would give a 4 rating.

Called, made an appointment, we had on and off service for a couple of weeks. Charles was the technician. He was very polite, understood our problem. Check the service from the post in the yard, to the house connection. Made a couple of changes in the connections. Checked out our modem and restored our service. Very polite young man.

I had experienced terrible download speeds (1-5 Mbps) on my 1GIG speed account. I could hardly do anything, work wise, and that was a problem, since I work from home. So I called and asked about it. After testing my modem, the tech said she couldn't even "see it" but my Eero WiFi seemed to be working well. We talked about all kinds of possibilities for the slowdown, but didn't really resolve it. I assumed (wrongly) that it was probably my modem that was giving up the ghost. So I ordered a new one. Then, later that night, I called again, and this time got a recording (which wasn't there hours earlier) saying that there was a cut in a fiber optic line somewhere and that they were working hard to restore it. I saw a neighbor a little later who said her speeds were down, too, so I figured that was the problem.
The next morning, I woke up and had near-1Gig speed again. All that to say that I was very happy at the courteous, careful pace in which my tech tried to troubleshoot. But I think it kinda stinks that you guys don't give her any more information (like the cut line) any sooner. Makes her look foolish to the customer. So, now I have another modem I don't need. But instead of sending it back, I think I'll just hang onto it. Who knows. In two years, the same model will probably cost 2 times as much, with tariffs on all electronics! Gotta love it. Oh yes, we're Making America something... that's for sure. Not so sure if it's great or not...

My most recent contact with Mediacom was neutral however found it odd that when I called to cancel my service after being a customer for 37 years nobody asked me why or if they could do anything to persuade me not to cancel. The gentleman I talked to did a fine job, even mentioned the length of service. I really thought a customer service rep would have at least tried to maintain our relationship.

My plan up going up in price and I called and got a new promotion. The lady that helped me was very helpful and very friendly towards me, she also told me that Mediacom now has cell phone service. My equipment was upgraded to the WiFi cable boxes and I added 3 eero WiFi extenders. The technician hooked up my TVs and Eero units before departing the service call. Very friendly and fast service over the phone, trying to figure out internet connection problems. We tried several different ways to get the blink camera to work off this WIFi. It's starting to look like I need a new blink module and that the part was defective. I will order another blink sync module and hopefully, that will fix the problem.

Every time you work on an outage it affects our speed or goes completely out. We always struggle to get past the automated system to talk to a live person. Normally takes several days to get someone out to restore service. Once we get someone out they are nice and usually gets us up and running that day. Good service techs anyways.

07/24/2025 my WiFi went out, called Mediacom, after extensive troubleshooting, it was confirmed. Appointment set for 08/01/2025. 07/29/2025 was notified a change in my appointment to 7/30/2025 3pm. WiFi indicates it is working but there's no SSID being broadcast. 07/30/2025 am, notified appointment canceled manpower. New appointment 08/07. I complained, They credited me. But I'm still without WiFi.

Constantly losing internet. Had 2 service techs try and fix it. Changed router. Still would just intermittently go off and on. Had to change to Verizon. Haven’t had any problems since. Did not want to change as medicine is cheaper but had no choice as it would go out 6/7 times per day.

Auto Pay was set up online in January or February but was stopped without any authorization. Your rep says someone called on June twenty sixth, however call log has been checked and there was no call was made to STOP auto pay on any day since this was set up months ago.

Love your internet service. It's reliable and speedy. But, you're not price competitive. Even when we call every year to get the current "special retention deal," you're still somewhat about your competitors. It is a pain to have to call up every year with a threat to leave to get a reasonable price... then have it rocket up as the period runs out. Competitors are offering 3 years to lifetime fixed rates. You will be losing your most loyal customers by not matching.

Mediacom’s service has improved in the last couple of months. We had a lot of issues with our internet connection constantly failing and they finally agreed to replace the components. Techs came out and we now have a new modem and main TV box. That seems to have taken care of the issue. For a couple of months now, we haven't had any issues. I'm hoping that's the end of it. The only thing is that Mediacom seems priced very high for what we have. The location where we are in Lewes, Delaware does not have any other options unless you go to satellite. Other than that, I we're good.

Mediacom was the provider for telecommunication and cable in a community called Bear Trap Dunes, which I bought 16 years ago. So, that was kind of by default that we got Mediacom. And then, when I bought the property that I’m in now, Mediacom was the given provider. I just utilize the internet through them.
10 years ago, when I was in Bear Trap Dunes, I was not pleased with them. But in the five years I’ve been in this current address, I’ve been satisfied with the service. It’s excellent. The service that we recently got, where someone came and fixed or replaced our modem router, was good, timely, and easily done. And the same with changing our service, which we also did a month or so ago, and that was, again, easily done.

My experience with their service has been satisfactory overall. Over the years, I have encountered a few issues, but when I've reached out for assistance, customer service has always resolved them courteously, professionally, and quickly.
Ideally, though, I would like faster internet speeds. I suspect the slower speed is due to the high number of users, especially now that I am at the beach and there are additional users during the summer. But I have no ongoing problems beyond that.
Overall, my experience has been positive, and I would confidently rate Mediacom a 5. I appreciate their continuous support and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

I used Mediacom before, and I got them again when I needed an internet service. The installation process went smoothly without any issues. I've been with them for a couple of months now, and the quality and cost of the service meet my expectations for what I wanted.
However, I have encountered an issue with activating my additional phone, which was supposed to be included for free for a year. I'm still waiting for it to be activated. Despite this, I'm relatively satisfied with their service so far.

Mediacom Cable was the only provider available in my area of Delaware. Currently, I use their services for both cable TV and internet. While I haven't contacted customer service, I've encountered a few issues, especially with losing the TV picture at times. My primary concern, however, is the limited variety of programs available on the channels. It feels like many are just blank, which is frustrating given the cost.
Even though the service seems expensive for what is offered, anytime I needed help, they were responsive and helpful, so I'd rate them high on service quality. I wish there were more engaging shows or channels available.

I've been a loyal Mediacom Cable customer for many years. However, I am extremely disappointed with their recent price increase. It's gone up over $100 a month, which is just outrageous and unaffordable for us. Friends of mine have chosen to stick with other cable companies like Verizon because their prices aren't as high. Even though we stuck with Mediacom, this increase is making us reconsider.
When I reached out to their customer service, they informed me that they no longer offer discounts on TV service and implied that this is the reason for the price hike. Many of my friends have cut the cable completely and are streaming content online instead, but I'm not ready to do that. I still depend on cable service, even though the price is discouraging.
Despite this, I've not experienced any changes in the quality of service; it's remained consistent. Overall, while I'm very upset about the price increase and find it unjustifiable, I understand that customer service has limited flexibility in addressing pricing issues. If I had to give Mediacom a rating based on my current experience, I'd probably say a three. The service is solid, but the increased cost is a major problem.
I hope sharing this feedback with Mediacom will prompt them to reconsider the pricing structure, as maintaining long-term customer relationships should be a priority.

I signed up with Mediacom Cable when I relocated from Montgomery County to Frankford, Delaware. As they were the only available provider in town and having worked for Comcast previously, I thought I'd give them a try despite knowing they weren't the ideal choice. My experience with them has been less than satisfactory, mainly because they're the sole option here, forcing me to accept their service.
Dealing with Mediacom has been frustrating. Their customer service is notably lacking, and their infrastructure maintenance is, frankly, disappointing. I've encountered outages three to five times daily, ranging from several minutes to half an hour. Their pricing doesn't match the quality of service provided, yet they seem indifferent since they monopolize the region.
I'm using both cable and Internet services from Mediacom. The internet quality leaves much to be desired, as it frequently cuts out multiple times a day. The frustration of watching a connection drop repeatedly is topped by the fact I'm at the end of the service line. So, much like being the last on a plowed road, I receive the least reliable connection.
If I had to describe Mediacom to someone considering their services, I'd urge them to prepare to manage without alternatives and to simply endure their monopoly if cable and internet are necessities. The customer service deserves a mere two out of five, similar to the overall coverage. When it comes to value for money, their service is quite overpriced for what little they offer.

Since I've had the service, my experience with Mediacom has been generally positive. I primarily use the service to watch sports, which I really enjoy despite a few buffering issues. This tends to happen more during heavy rain, which might be linked to my townhouse's three-floor setup.
The customer service I've received has been exemplary. Representatives are consistently polite and helpful, both of which I can appreciate having been in customer service as a salesperson for 25 years myself. They haven't caused me trouble, which is a big deal in terms of reliability and professionalism.
In explaining Mediacom to friends or family, I'd emphasize that word of mouth is vital to a service's reputation. A good service experience can significantly enhance one’s perception, and Mediacom delivers that. My setup includes Wi-Fi, necessary for my household as both my teenage daughters and I rely heavily on it, especially at night for TV sports viewing.
If I were to rate Mediacom, I'd likely go with a solid 4, reflecting the overall satisfaction with their service and support. Overall, it's an easy recommendation based on my personal experience.

Mediacom's customer service has been pretty good; the interactions are easy and they try to be helpful. However, I've experienced quite a number of outages, which can be inconvenient, especially because I work from home and rely on a stable connection. During these outages, both the TV and the internet go down, and I usually have to reboot the modem or switch to my hotspot to continue working. The outages generally last about 15 minutes, although sometimes they're longer, and it seems to be a common issue in my neighborhood. Overall, while the service has its challenges, customer service manages to maintain a satisfactory experience.

I tried Mediacom after moving to a new location near my son, who had already been using their services. Currently, I'm using Mediacom's Internet service and have found it to be reliable with no issues at all. As a 78-year-old retiree, I mainly use it for everyday tasks like watching TV, using my computer, phone, and iPad. My experience has been positive, especially the communication. They kept me informed about service updates, texting promptly when necessary. Although my son's initial issues due to nearby development work have now been resolved, they didn't affect my service. My experience with Mediacom has been disappointing. The service constantly experiences interruptions, frequently rebooting mid-program, which disrupts our viewing experience—movies often get cut off, and we have to restart them. Despite attempts to resolve these issues by installing new cables and providing different equipment, the problems persist.
Additionally, I've been charged for a piece of equipment that I'm no longer using. Mediacom only sent a return label without a box, which complicates the return process. I've had to scale back to only internet service due to the high costs of unreliable cable service, which hardly justified the pricey bills, given the frequent shutdowns.
On a positive note, their customer service representatives are polite and try to help, although there are occasional communication challenges due to language barriers. That said, there are aspects of their service I appreciate, such as the internet discount they provided when my kids were in school, tailored to our income—this consideration ensured reliable internet access for their educational needs.

I currently use Mediacom's Wi-Fi services and my experience with them has been quite disappointing. Typically, I receive only one bar, and occasionally two. Sometimes, the service drops completely, requiring a frustrating reprogramming process.
Despite contacting Mediacom to address these issues and having a line buried on our property, the connectivity problems persist. Customer service interactions have been polite, but not necessarily helpful in resolving the problems. Overall, my experience with Mediacom's service quality and cost has been unsatisfactory.

Several times a week, I lose connectivity... sometimes for a minute, sometimes for a day. My speeds are down to the 200 Mbps range and I pay for 1Gig daily, especially during the summer vacation season. I am waiting for another competitor that says it is coming in next year... Comparative speeds for 60 percent of cost. My contract should be up by then... yes, I plan on switching... and I quit calling long ago as it does no good, service becomes mediocre within a week of the call... I want service I pay for, not excuses.

But, when they come to my home in person they are not always trained the best and sometimes do not know what they are doing. This is a training issue. Now for Pricing. The prices are too high. I am struggling financially and it is going to come down to paying my mortgage or cable and my mortgage will win every time. Your pricing structure is too much.

Have been a customer for about 15 years. I only have Internet service which is satisfactory for me. Supposedly I have a leak on my line and they cut my service off even after I spoke with a tech who stated my line was safe and not to worry about it, my service will not be shut off. I have a line connected to the outside box hooking up directly into the router. No t-line or anything weird. Same router, same setup for years, but now they're weird about getting into my house to check my line. State they left door hangers and notifications, but since I'm home 98% of time I can verify nothing of the sort has happened.
I received a letter and phone call on 6/28/25 with a threat of no access appt no service. Made an appt for July 4th which they verified they were working that day. Called office on 6/30/2025 and tech said my line was secure and not to worry about appt or getting service shut off. No MediaCom employees on my road on July 4th during the hours of my appt time. July 5th my service is shut off and the person I spoke with has no record of the conversation I had with the tech on June 30th and since I had a leak on June 19 & 20 it needs to be checked out. What is really going on?

I recently moved & previously had ATT fiber. Only Mediacom available in new location. After a truly bumpy start (sales person had my order really messed up) I had some really great help getting it right, (Ruth, I think?) & then really nice help fine tuning my connection for my tastes (gamer here). There were certainly bumps with AT&T as well, so... So far, Mediacom has done well for me!

We returned the 4 boxes to our local store. We are an older couple and realized we would not use. Instead of giving us a credit on our account they CUT OFF OUR WIFI. This has been a nightmare. One nice technician reinstalled but getting everything up and rolling again has been a job for our adult children and us.. The bill is still not correct. We are set up on autopay and have talked to 4 different people and still not straight. We have been with Mediacom for years and we are very upset.

Still waiting for the SIM card to be sent so I can change over. Very happy with. The customer service went out of the way to take time to engage with me and do their best solve and understand. Important note.. Initially after an acct. inquiry made by myself, FELICIA, told me about this promotion, followed up diligently to not only get me signed up but to help me with a problem that I had transferring my phone number. Please give her sales credit. However I was also contacted by a salesperson named J....? Modem struck by lightning. Mediacom personnel very helpful in staying in touch with me and keeping me updated as to when new equipment would arrive and appointment date and time. Also, inquiring if appointment time still good or needed to be changed. Tech who came to my home the first time and the last time to complete my orders were both very professional and knowledgeable. We had an appt to have Mediacom internet on Friday, June 27. A technician came by and was unable to install the internet because the trenching crew needs to come by and because everything wasn’t set up correctly so that he could proceed. He said they would be back this week and… nothing!

I am a long-time member of Mediacom. There have been a few times I have not been happy either with service or the cost. But over time the service has improved. The cost is a factor and hope they can keep it down as much as possible. The only concern I have is that with a new little box that that is needed I think for the signal that sometimes there is an interference of the picture stopping and a loading video pops up. That can be annoying. Otherwise, I remain a loyal customer.

So proud of Mediacom for keeping monthly bill to $39.99 which is affordable. I brag to friends and relatives about how fair you are. Then this month it goes up to $49.99, this sounds pretty cheap to most. But I'm that senior on a fixed income and every month something goes up. My Mom wanted to change her plan. She’s VERY hard hearing so I was the go between. I spoke with Sherita & Debra. Cody was the installation tech. All 3 of them were phenomenal! Very professional, kind, informative & helpful. Great positive experience with all 3 of them. And a special thank you to Cody. My Dad passed away 2 months ago, the reason why she wanted to change her plan. I purchased her a special memorial bracelet with Dad's photo on it. When Cody came in she immediately said, “look what my daughter gave me” and showed her bracelet to him and told him her husband passed away. Cody was so kind to her and engaged conversation with her. To say it tugged my heartstrings would be an understatement. Cody was so patient, attentive and kind to her. He was very genuine, and in today’s world that is rare. So thank you Cody for showing a grieving widow compassion!

I contacted Mediacom when my TiVo wasn’t working and the technical support informed me that I was missing my HDMI1 cable. I realized that I had removed it with other cables to an old DVD/VHS player in place of a new DVD player. The technician explained which box to attach the cable to along with HDMI1 and everything worked great after that!

The signal doesn’t hold. It’s will work for maybe a minute then it’s out. Your internet signal is too weak for this area. I have bought 2 boxes and now using your box and it still doesn’t stay connected. I have been lied to from the beginning about which service I was getting. This is too much. A business shouldn’t operate in this manner. Out of all the technicians (and there have been a lot of them) no one has solved the problem.

My Customer Service Representative named Misty assisted me today. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, professional & truly wanted to help with services I needed. She made me feel like a valued customer. I asked if she could check on an item for me which required input from a Supervisor. Misty told me she would check on everything & call me back. I was very pleasantly surprised when within a short time, Misty called me back, gave me the information I needed & completed the account changes. Experienced many freezes, black-outs & Video Loading. Went black on all channels: Video Loading. Called Cust Srvc on Sun, spoke to Jason. He was very patient & helpful. The push out didn't work so an appt was sched. Billy arrived on time - checked everything, put a new connection on pole outside. All works. Extremely satisfied with Mediacom's cust srvc--A1!

My cable kept going out and the tech came out and determined that I needed a new Wi-Fi box and he exchanged it out and it’s been working perfectly fine ever since. The technician was very knowledgeable, friendly, and he got the job done.

It took 11 days for Mediacom to get my service restored. Service went out on a Thursday after a very brief power outage (5-10 seconds). Mediacom couldn't get out to see me until Saturday. This technician verified there were no issues inside my home. He found a problem with the splitter (?) in the pedestal by the street. I was told they had to get a part from Columbia and would be out Monday to replace it. No one came out Monday. I waited until Wednesday to check on the status. I was told someone was on their way and would be here by 8:00pm. No one came out. I called again and was promised someone would be out on Thursday to make the repair. No one came out. No one came out until the next Sunday to troubleshoot the problem. And my service was finally restored.
What bugs me is that three separate times I was promised service that never happened. And Mediacom NEVER contacted me to give me updates. The most important aspects of good customer service is not making promises you can't keep, and make sure your customer knows what you're doing or what you're going to be doing. You don't do that. Eleven days without service is inexcusable. And, I have heard from many others that they have experienced the same thing.

Had to keep resetting our service four times in an hour or two. Your people would tell us to keep resetting it. That it was always our fault that it kept going out. Would never send technicians out to fix it because we were always doing something to cause it. When we did nothing to it. But we're always told to reboot it by turning it off and on or to unplug it it and replug it back in. Then turn it off and back on then go to settings and and go through all those steps each and every time. Why could you not just fix it!!!! So we are canceling.

Quick setup and install however, I’m not getting the promised speeds. The tech came out and did what he could for the time being. I will not give a good review until the problem is fixed. I also haven’t received any compensation for the lack of promised speeds. No reduced cost for the month or anything. Was told I have to wait until the tap is installed and have to suffer. The installer was great. He knew what he was doing and took care of everything. I have no complaints so far. I wish Mediacom Mobile would have worked with my phone, but we just couldn't get it to work with texting correctly. Had to drop it. Hated to, but needed to.

We have had connection issues every day for about the past month, losing service or slow connection several times a day. When the technician came out he could not find a true reason for the issue and tried to blame it on our modem, which we have had zero issues with until that afternoon. When looking at our equipment he knocked over and broke a statue on our piano, that cannot be replaced and took a small chunk out of the top of the piano. Since the service visit there have still been several outages and problems in our immediate area that has nothing to do with our equipment or line.

I spoke to someone about my bill, why it had gone up, they had someone call me, about a promotion but I cannot understand it, and I have been sick. So I have been a customer for a long long time. Just wish I could get a better rate, and my bill had not gone up.

Austin was very helpful. He removed 2 devices that were in conflict with the Eero and it's been working much better! We’ve had your service people here over a dozen times in the 4 years we have lived here. We never had any trouble in Urbandale but a lot of our neighbors have had problems with any kind of internet service.

I've been with Mediacom for over 7 years now and my service has been horrible. Constantly dropping through out the day. There have been techs out over the years and the problem clears up for a short time but it always comes back even after hardware changes on my part. I also have to constantly call to get onto a new promo price and even that isn't always a good price. This year for example I was told the best offer would be 95$ a month, when new customers are able to lock in 65$ a month for 2 years.

I have not encountered any major issues with Mediacom yet, the internet is fast and reliable so far, with only 1-3 fixes happening each year in my area for about 1 to 5 hours, but with the internet working at the same time as fixes going on, that's about it, the only thing I wish is for a prices to be lower for people who use their service for 5+ years something like that.

My internet and television cable went out on May 12th. A service technician came out on May 18th to drop a temp line which only lasted 2 weeks. They dropped another temp line on June 8th which only lasted 1 week then dropped another temp line on June 20th. I still have no internet or cable television nor have they come back to buy the cable and it has been over a month (40 days) since it was requested. I was also told that I would be credited for the month without service but still have not received a credit on my bill. As a customer for over 30 years, I expected better service..

I rarely had any dropouts in connection and data speeds were reasonably stable. My equipment setup and return process was easy to manage, the Mediacom staff were great to work with and happy to help with any questions or concerns. Had service folks come by and they can not help. Lost picture for 5 hours last week. System worked better when cable. Also picture goes out during bad weather. Service folks are good and courteous but system stinks. Looking for other providers and so are many of my neighbors and customers.

When I subscribed for variety TV that includes Local TV, I understood that as one price $90 (Kendallville office right before they closed it had told me about $110). Then the bill comes and shows $40 and a Local Broadcast Surcharge of $27.71on top of the Variety price.! I'm not sure I will be able to afford to keep cable TV at those prices on my limited retirement income.

They increased the monthly amount $60 to $ 80 after 2 year of usage which is too much for me. I am planning to shut this services in future if they will not reduce the amount. MediaCom contacted me, during the conversation I was informed that we no longer have data caps; I like this change a lot. I was also provided additional information about my plan, and updates to it. I still feel the price is a bit high, but MediaCom's diligence and following up with my concerns has improved my perspective of the company.

The service, when functioning works well for the most part. The interruptions aren't excessively common. My biggest complaints about my Mediacom service is that there are built in data caps. And the price, paying over $100 a month for internet is steep. Unfortunately in my apartment complex Mediacom is the best option available, so there isn't a lot of competition when it comes to this building.

Updated on 08/06/2025: It affects my internet service. I called to cancel my Mediacom internet service. It took me three phone calls to cancel. The customer retention team didn't call me back the first time and the second time they called back and hung up on me.
Original: I called twice about this. The customer service rep was very polite. However, the repair technician did not fix the issue. The plastic Mediacom box in the outside of the house still has a broken cover. The box is on the back of the house. The box is about the size of a basketball. The box is so old that the cover broke. I am using a bungee cord to try to keep the cover on, but it does not work well.

We recently moved form Tooele, UT and coordinated the move to allow my wife to give 2 weeks notice, 10 days to move and 5 days before starting her new Florida job working remotely from home. During her onboarding and first day, she experienced several service interruptions, re boots and poor signal. She was told by her new job that she would have to restart in 1 week. She lost 36 hours of pay or $972.00 ...
We had to switch everything to our personal modem and router to get back on line, a technician came back the following day and confirmed issues with line from ped to house, made adjustments and signal strength increased. Why wasn't this check during installation 2 days prior my wife's job? We chose the fastest internet you have available which is pathetic compared to the areas we have live din Utah and Missouri. Your system needs upgraded. And with all the people we spoke with no one offered any compensation (reduced bill or free months) for my wife's lost income. 1 week of her pay, covers the entire year of MediaCom billing...

My modem router failed and had to be replaced. The Mediacom support was excellent and configured the new modem so that I was back in business. I had two replacement modems and the first one failed on configuration. The second one worked. The support person was patient and worked with me until all was okay.

We just switched last month to Mediacom's Fiber option. We have gone almost 2 weeks without reliable internet and the earliest response was 1.5 weeks out. This was very disappointing. I would not recommend this service in my area. Hopefully this improves but we are strongly considering switching back to our other provider.

I work from home and I was advised that there would be planned maintenance in my area this week. There were no timeframes given (normally when this happens it’s 10pm-6am) and I have been out of internet for several hours now. I called in and they said the maintenance could take up to three weeks. This is unacceptable. I understand upgrades need to happen but a lot of people work from home and depend on consistent service for the price I have to pay. I’ve had multiple issues with service cutting out this year alone and every year I have to call and threaten to leave or downgrade for them to slap a coupon on my account. This is just not good business practice. If Mediacom wasn’t the only option I have living where I do, I would never use it or recommend it to anyone. Do better.

My daughter told me about Mediacom and I’ve had them for nine years now. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it gets affected by storms. However, it’s easy to contact someone from there. They have crisp, good and clear service. I like watching news and a couple of channels with it.

We've had a good relationship with Mediacom. Now, we have to go through the operator to get a person, but it's fairly quick, and the service people take care of us. Every time the internet goes out, they handle it as quickly as possible. I do think I pay an exorbitant amount for what I have, but I've been with them all these years and I'm not fixing to change unless something drastic happens.

Mediacom has good people working for them, it’s just the service is not the greatest. We’ve been constantly having interruptions since January. Every time I’d call, they’d tell me to reboot my system, which is easy to do, and it comes back within a few minutes. It’s just annoying when I’m doing something and then all of a sudden, there’s no internet. But it’s not the people ‘cause they’re great. It’s solely the service.

We’ve had Mediacom for many years for every residence we’ve had. Lately we had a really awful experience with a gentleman that was sent here to fix a situation. He was extremely disrespectful in our home, didn’t do the job that he was sent to do, and left a large mess. Eventually, they sent another gentleman out who was amazing. He apologized to us, said that it should have been done differently, and corrected it. We have gamers in the home, and we use a Fire Stick or a PS5. We stream everything with YouTube. That’s why I was so frustrated when we had an issue. When we have no internet, we have nothing.
I had a bad experience with a customer service rep when I had an issue. My adopted son who works for the company told me that my stuff was all wrong, so he advised that I get them fixed. The first rep I called was so rude. She had the nerve to say, “Why don’t you just have your son move in with you and you can get the cable for free?” I spoke with another rep who was helpful and got our bill down lower. Now we have good service. Up until that point, I didn’t know we even had any other options. I had multiple conversations with different people through Mediacom and never been offered other options. I was blessed to be able to speak to that representative who was amazing.

Mediacom has become too expensive. I have them for eight years now and they’re the only ones available at the Lake. I have to have internet because of my father’s pacemaker. It’s too expensive just for that purpose. Their price started at $29 and it went up to around $80. They keep going up without warning. They have given me a little bit of a discount, but it's still ridiculous. Other than that, their customer service is wonderful.

We watch the news and PBS on Mediacom. The quality is very good. Then, we go from there to the streaming service mostly because it just seems like the more mature and better quality shows, like BritBox and Acorn. I don't have any complaints. We had an option about a month ago to go to another internet provider and we opted not to. Our experience is very positive most of the time. When we have issues, my husband will call and they take care of it. They do not respond to me, especially if it's an email later in the day. I guess they don't think I know what I'm talking about. The prices have gotten a little out of line, and we're living in rural Georgia, where we don't have a lot of options. Still, as long as one of the options is Mediacom, it's fine.

I've had a great experience with Mediacom. I've only had them for a couple of months since I moved into an apartment. I just got the internet and use it for my computer and watching TV. I really like the service so far.

We moved and Mediacom was our only option where we live. Our internet connection is considered high speed and we use their other components too. However, nothing is faster than it was with Verizon. Mediacom is lacking some things that we had before that we liked. We cannot pause the TV or record anything, for example. We had those features with Verizon and I feel like we are still paying as much as we had before.
Still, Mediacom’s customer service has been fine. We had somebody come to the house a couple weeks ago as some of our networks were glitching. The guy said that whoever did ours initially had some wires cramped. He fixed what needed to be fixed, and he was great. We would recommend them only because they are all we have.

Called Mediacom since 4-28-25, also 5-20-25, 5-30-25, 6-4-25 and 6-11-25 left message about yard damage with Bill **, Communication Data Link ** who came out & took photos. NO GRASS YET!! Huge safety problem for neighbor kids playing in this area. Dirt needs to be raked level, holes filled, grass laid and straw blanket installed to prevent erosion.

$150/month for 1 gig internet that isn't fiber optic. Can't have a week go by without multiple outages. Seeing the same package I have being offered to new customers for $70, Mediacom needs to take care of its loyal customers first rather than focus on getting new customers. Especially when we can't get the speeds we pay for.

1st tech ran a 180' fiber wire around whole of house. Second tech moved it after I installed a ground rod 40' from Mediacom service (only a 10' bury). Drop and bury tech looped 140' of fiber under porch and had a conduit up an outside wall that is not even close to level.

I've been with Mediacom for so many years and it’s the only one I've ever been with. I only have Wi-Fi internet, and it’s kind of expensive for a service that goes out a lot. But they do notify me in advance when it’s gonna be out, for how long, and they send a text the moment it comes back on. I’ve only reached out to customer support a couple of times when they turned my internet off because my bill was overdue, and they’ve been very good about giving me an extension and getting it back on, so they’ve really worked with me on that.

I have the internet services with Mediacom and sometimes, I have problems with it. I can be sitting there and my TV and my internet would go out. I'm sitting there for almost a whole day and they expect me to pay that bill. I have an autistic grandson, and he loves to watch TV and likes to play on his phone. When it goes out, he's throwing a fit. It gets bad. Plus the bill starts in one place, one minute, and the next thing you know, it’s higher. But my kids love to watch TV so I have no other choice.
I've been with Mediacom for a long time and I've had to contact them several times. The customer service is good. But hopefully, they can get their internet services to work a little bit better than what it has been. I am dissatisfied.

I used Mediacom a long time ago and I am using them again. The customer service representative did very well during the setup and my husband said the technicianan who installed was real good. I just got internet and the quality has been a lot better. I did call once because it was going in and out. It took them a couple of days, but it's been a lot better so far. Everybody seems to be satisfied with it as far as my family goes.

I granted access and if they were able to make it in. Wire is still hanging low and is pulling siding off my house. I have not received any notifications and I did see that my gate is blocked. I still need apt made in the afternoon, I work until 3pm in Rantoul Monday. Indeed apt so I’m at the house when they are available.

We’ve had them for more than five years.
We were having issues with our phone which is our business line. Sometimes, all of a sudden, there would be no landline at all. It was like that for two or three days at one point. And then we finally called and they had sent someone out.
The internet freezes all the time. It's important, but our business phone line is way more important because we're a service business. We lost a lot of business from that. If I could get out of the contract, I would, but we can't because we signed a thing with Mediacom. We used to have an actual building, and then we sold that, so we had a separate deal out there. When we sold that building, we couldn't get out of that contract, so we had to have it at our house, so we have two separate packages.
There's another guy that came around, offering fiber optic, this new fancy stuff. They’re saying, “Oh, we can get you this deal.” But the main reason that we can't get out of our Mediacom contract is because we would lose our phone number. And we've had it since 1960, so that's a big deal. We can't switch our phone number over to a different company without losing it.

I was actually new to the area, so I asked my neighbors who their internet provider is. They recommended Mediacom. I have internet and cable with them.
Customer service was fine, but when I went into the Mediacom office, I waited a long time. I later found out the lady handling the walk-ins was new, so I understand why it took so long.
The installers came out and installed what needed to be installed. It was quick and it went fine. The service is really good. I haven’t had any problems with it so far. It’s a plus for me.

We just went with Mediacom Cable because it was good in our area. We have their Wi-Fi. There had been a few times when I thought it was getting pricey. I thought it was like $50 at one point, but then it jumped up to $80.
The customer service is usually really good. We had to contact them because of outages in the area, which lasted for a few days.

Mediacom’s bandwidth availability is in my market. I don't have the voice over IP or traditional landline. I only have the internet, which I use for streaming and work. They’re high speed
They just put fiber optic directly to our neighborhood in the last six months, so we literally have fiber optic almost to the door from my house.

The cable had stopped working. I called a Mediacom rep and they ordered a new box to be delivered to the house and set up an appointment for tech to install. The technician called before our appointment to let us know he was on his way. New box installed and cable working great!

Like the old controller so more than new ones. These do not light up on the controllers. Repeat do not like the new controllers. They do not light up. For the past 2–3 months, I have removed our account from auto-pay because payments were being withdrawn before our payday, resulting in a $34 insufficient funds fee each time. Despite speaking with multiple chat agents who assured me that auto-pay had been disabled, the payment continued to be processed automatically around the 20th of each month. This led to repeated overdraft charges. After calling again, I was told the $34 fee would be refunded and auto-pay would be turned off. This has not been refunded back to us even though we were told it would be. However, when I checked a few days later, auto-pay was still active. To prevent further charges, I removed all of our banking information from your system. I was laid off in November 2024 and cannot afford any additional or unexpected charges. I would appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and a confirmation that auto-pay has been fully disabled.

My system was operating as I hoped without it. The agent I dealt with was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. I was completely satisfied with my experience. The agent completed my request in short order.

I called to have my internet service downgraded to a lesser amount and the phone took off. It has never worked nor have I ever used the home phone. I am being charged for fees for a home phone that I do not use. I should never be paying for 2 local sales taxes, 2 E911 charges.

The agent was extremely helpful and helped me to a resolution with my billing questions very quickly with my billing questions. She refunded me for a visit and informed me about deductions I could get taken off of my monthly bill. She was pleasant and professional. I didn’t have to wait on hold, she was able to assist me immediately which was very helpful. I would recommend Mediacom to my friends.

Charges since November 2024 for equipment not returned. Spoke with representatives on several occasions and 4 months refund returned, however, charges kept appearing on billing statement. Spoke and emailed Springfield Assist. Sent photos of equipment and was told it was not the missing item. Only equipment received was from recent updates to cable boxes and a "free" additional box from a promotion that Mediacom offered. That box was recently disconnected by Mediacom after being told that was not the equipment in question. Customer service representative basically called me a liar and said the equipment was never "free". I was basically not returning the equipment as requested. He was not very friendly at all.

I was very impressed with the technician who came to my house to investigate my problem. He was polite and well prepared. He explained the problem and promptly called it in to the line crew. Also when he opened our distribution box, there was a wasp nest inside. But he was prepared. He had wasp spray in his truck and continued on with the job. He kept cool and did not get upset.

I have had previous experience with Comcast over the past 13 years. Some experiences were acceptable, my needs were met. Other experiences were only marginally acceptable. Starting April 23, 2025, and lasting until May 23, 2025, it took five service appointments to address frequent outages of TiVo, Xumo, and most important: Internet. While I was credited by Mediacom for some of the outages, there were of course no credits for my apps subscription payments..

Construction had severed the cable connection to my residence. Called for service and repair was made by the next morning. Customer rep on the phone was helpful as I explained the issue and promptly set up a timeframe for the repair service. Technician arrived and performed the service within the time frame given. Great service!

Steve, Technician was very polite and helpful. He cleaned up after himself. Did not leave a mess. When he left everything was working properly. No problems. Technicians have come out to my home 4 times each not knowing what to do or how to solve the connection issue. When the last technician left I had internet connection for 1 day. I have a bulk account because I am in Seaside but the service has not been favorable. I contacted customer support but all they are not any assistance.

I cancelled my Xumo account and returned to regular tv, as Xumo wasn't working for us. The person I talked to on the phone about the change offered me the option of continuing Xumo, which I declined. A very nice technician came and installed the new device, taking the Xumo equipment with him. You can imagine my surprise when I received an email saying my order for Xumo equipment was on the way. I called Mediacom to say I didn't order it and didn't want it. The person on the call said all I had to do was refuse delivery or call and arrange for the return.
I wasn't home when it was delivered, so I called to see how to return the equipment. The lady on the phone said I could take it back to the regional office (at least half an hour away) or take it to a FedEx facility and they would take it back, I went to the FedEx place and they said I needed a return label, which I did not have, and that I would have to pay to return the item I did not order and do not want. I am not al all happy with these solutions. Someone at Mediacom took it upon themselves to ship me this equipment, with no authorization from me, and I don't think I should have to go to the trouble or expense of returning it,.

A tech has been out and the internet still freezes up and it happens everyday a few times a day and it's very very frustrating and he put in another work order but I haven't received a call text message or anything saying that someone will be out to check.

We recently had a new system installed in our condo building by Mediacom. They removed my TiVo boxes. I no longer have DVR capability. This is unacceptable. I bought a Tivo box but Mediacom does not have a card for it to operate. The new service is unreliable. We already had a service call because we totally lost tv. The technician said that we will continue to have problems because of a weak signal.

Loading video keeps coming up constantly when trying to watch a show it has been doing this for months and only getting worse. Was trying to watch a show yesterday and the loading video came on so many times I could not finish it. It would say there is a problem playing this channel. I have been a customer since 2020 I believe and I have always been happy with my service until this year, suddenly I have had issues constantly with my wifi signal going out multiple time a day on an almost daily basis, I was told to reconnect the Eros and then the issue would stop but it hasn't and I am still having issues with it cutting off and them coming back on about 5 to 10 minutes later if at all. I am getting to the point where I am thinking about finding new service but I would love to stay with this company if the problem will stop.

It arrived fast and great service. Have enjoyed using it to stream. It works perfectly well. Dealing with customer service is good. Never have any issues. Always have had great service. Always learn about something new. I would always recommend them to friends and family. Excellent service overalls. Never have issues getting help when I need it.

I called last Thursday, May 29, 2025 because the TV guide information quit working on two TV’s. It just says title not available. It had not worked for about a week and I thought maybe it was a glitch in your system and would reset. It didn’t. The gentleman I talked to said someone would contact me within 24 hours and here we are six days later and I’ve heard nothing. I have unplugged both boxes and still nothing. HELP!!!

Called to have a tech come to investigate reason for dropping connection. Tech replaced outside line connectors. Determined issue was with line across highway (was noisy). Tech couldn't replace due to traffic frequency. Was going to call for bucket truck to replace. No response yet. Repair status is unknown. May have been completed, may not have. Communication is lacking.

My price went up $100 a month and called and was promised to be contacted by promotional team and have not received a call. Will now have to call back and have person tell me they can't help. Maybe this time someone will reach back out and help me. I have been with Mediacom for over a decade.

I initiated an inquiry through the online chat tool about why our Internet was slower than expected. I was directed to remove any splitters (which were none), this resulted in a completely unnecessary services technician call. Issue was eventually resolved easily with a phone call.

I was told 2 weeks on the cable being buried. It still has not been touched and it makes it difficult to mow our big yard. Please do something about this soon. I appreciate how quickly you came out to fix since Waterloo Fiber cut our cable but I am afraid something will happen to the cable just laying in my yard.

This has been a very pleasurable experience. I was awesome movies, watch inspirational speaker, Joel Osteen, about God and Jesus that really lift my spirit each day. My grandchildren have video games and kid movies that are a real asset for us all. The variety is amazing and I'm so blessed to get all of this for 31.00$ a month. Anytime I have a question customer service is prompt to answer kindly and accurately. I recommend this service to everyone and I enjoy my service every day.
