    We received a quote on the phone. When the workers arrived we find out the job would be $100 more because of the areas rugs. We called the office and were told by a very rude manager that it was our responsibility to tell them that we had area rugs. Why is that my responsibility? They should be asking those questions before giving a price. We compromised at paying $50 Extra because we had prepared the house and didn’t want to do it again for another company. The men who came here were polite and patient until this was resolved. They also said this issue happens often. Maybe Stanley Steamer should be training their phone people to Ask the right questions on the phone so this doesn’t happen. But I’m beginning to think this is their business model.

    On July 15th Stanley Steemer came out to clean the carpets at our new home as a pre-move in precaution because we have grandchildren who will be crawling and toddling around on the floors. When we went back for our final walk through on the 17th before closing, the carpet was still wet and it had just begun to have a musty odor. I called Stanley Steemer and they agreed to come back the next day. The tech who came and the woman I spoke with to make the appointment both said the original tech had overwet the carpet, which was what caused the problem. But they said recleaning and deodorizing would fix it. It did not. The odor got worse.

    On the 19th, they came again with the manager, he said recleaning and deodorizing AND adding in sanitizing spray would definitely solve the problem. The carpet kept smelling worse. Finally got the franchise owner who had come to town to come back out on July 24th. He claimed to not smell it, and didn’t feel the dampness, but agreed to send out a Carpet Inspector, confirming for me who that was and that I’d be hearing from him. When we didn’t hear from the Inspector for a few days, we hired and paid for a local Carpet Inspector, same qualifications/training/certification as the original one hired by the owner. He came out on July 29th and examined the carpet. His official report clearly stated based on the physical examination and the evidence that the carpet was indeed still wet after 3 WEEKS and that the fault lay clearly with STANLEY STEEMER and NOT the homeowners.

    I spoke with the owner and let him know the inspection had been completed, shared the Inspector’s name and contact information with him and forwarded the report to him. Now we can’t get anyone to return our calls. The smell now permeates the home, we are having headaches from the smell and of course mold becomes a real concern. This is not a company to ever choose to clean your carpets based on our experience.

    Lawrence was knowledgeable and professional. Did a great job! Carpet looks great. Had it protected, also. Bought some if their cleaner for spot cleaning. Said not to use the soap based or oily cleaners as they leave residue and attract dirt.

    They came out to provide a quote for the business, told us we would hear back by the end of the day, that did not happen. I called and they stated it would be end of day that day or the next morning at the latest, still nothing. Called today, the secretary has no answers and unable to answer anything. Don't waste your time on this company, they do not value your time and they obviously don't need the business.

    The cleaning service was horrible. First employee had his headphones on and didn't hear us when spoken to. He was only going to clean around the Rocks because the accent tables were there and he wouldn't move them. Our reception is have to help him move them. The whole process took him about 20 minutes and he advises to replace the rugs instead of cleaning them properly. We end up cleaning only 2 of the 3 originally planned, because of it. the rugs were put outside by our staff. We couldn't leave them wet and dirty inside.

    Had Stanley Steamer come out last month to clean to area rugs, stairs, landing and a small bathroom rug the man put a scotch guard. I told him the carpet didn’t look clean and he said they were still wet and would be fine. After they tried, they were worse, called them back to come out. Somebody came out and didn’t look at any better plus they didn’t use any scotch card or whatever they use on top, I called to complain talk to a manager. It was very rude. Talk over me. I asked Kevin to let me explain and he just was very nasty and what listened anything I had to say.

    I’m 83 years old. Cannot do my own carpets. They look horrible. It’s an expensive silk carpet. I feel bad. I had told my daughter-in-law. I was going to call them to do my carpets. She did the same with horrible, horrible results. I paid $450. They had quoted me a lot less but when they came in they end up charging me more. I paid for it but I sadly very disappointed. I’m out $450. I have a very dirty carpet. Looks worse than when it came. I cannot believe I was treated so horribly. I should’ve read the complaints before I had them come..

    I am shocked at my experience, especially after seeing rave reviews, which prompted me to have the service performed. I had the service done last Thursday, and on Saturday, I changed my AC unit's air filter, because I saw no notable changes mentioned by one of my neighbors. These photos are what I found in the ductwork behind the air handler. This all started when their company representative gave me a pitch about how Stanley Steemer's process was supposed to prevent Legionnaire's disease and other issues caused by breathing allergens caused dirty air, but then a crew comes out, and THIS is what they leave behind.

    As a follow up, to these photos, I checked camera footage and the crew spent most of their time in their air conditioned truck, while the process they were supposed to be running in my home; had them to turn off my central AC unit for over 3 hours in 90 degree temperatures, allowing my home to reach sweltering conditions, which it took nearly a full day to recompensate. They made a point to bring out air lines, and drag them across floors, which inspecting the ductwork, showed they did not attach them to anything. They also created a before-after presentation, and left the dirt and dust collected at the locations in place. When I started to clean the debris, they said it was part of their job to do it, so I stopped. They left and did not even clean the spots left behind in their fraud.

    Recently on July 11, 2025 I made an appointment with Stanley Steemer to come out to clean my carpet. He came out, clean the carpet and left. After the next day and 8/8 discovery that the carpet had not been cleaned to my satisfaction the downstairs area which is a high traffic area was not claimed at The entrance of the doors and a high traffic walkways in the hallway. I called the company and made a complaint. They said they were sent out someone on July 19, 2025 to inspect and do another cleaning to the carpet.

    The technician came out on time, came in my house, looked at the carpet and said that the carpet had already been clean. I said, "Do you see those spots? This cubby has not been touched." he said yes it Has due to the high traffic and stains in the carpet at the cleaning they still remain the same so therefore they were not come out. That’s what he said and I said not so. I said if I clean this carpet myself, I’m sure it would come cleaner than this. He said, "Well what do you want me to do?" I said, "You can leave." He said OK, he walked out the door with a very nasty attitude. I am 72 years old, I gave them good money to clean my carpet and it’s not clean so therefore I would have to do this cleaning myself. If I want it to be clear, remind you I have paid them $450 for cleaning the upstairs just a heads of the downstairs and they still did not clean this carpet to my satisfaction. I am very unhappy.

    Stanley Steemer is absolutely the best company for carpet cleaning in this area. I have tried other companies in the past and none can compare to Stanley Steemer. Today Eugene cleaned the carpeting in my apartment and he did an excellent job. He was very personable and meticulous in his approach to the cleaning. Things were moved and plastic protectors were put in place. I have an older carpet but after Eugene finished, it now looks almost new. I was very pleased with the service that Eugene provided and I highly recommend Stanley Steemer.

    Today we schedule scan the steamer to come in the cleaner vents and Renon and Luxene showed up to do the work and were two of the nicest young fellows I’ve met in a while.     Stanley Steemer came to clean our air ducts and left a mess on our newly-cleaned carpets (they have to be cleaned again) and in front of all of our ducts. The technician left his phone behind -- the whole thing was not very professional and really disappointing. Do not use this service - high cost, low return.

    We recently hired Stanley Steemer in North Las Vegas to come clean our father's home while he was in the hospital. They sent Sergio who seemed nice enough. He was thorough while cleaning the room we were near but after cleaning our father's bedroom he left quickly. Turns out our father's "emergency $ stash" disappeared with him. He never got to the floors before bolting. We called the local office, and the manager tried to say one of us stole the money and said he'd ask Sergio about it. We never heard back and assume he got a cut (the amount of money stolen was substantial). If you hire in North Las Vegas keep an eye on them!

    DO NOT USE STANLEY STEEMER- SCAM!! I put the order in for basic cleaning (absolutely no add-ons) and the guy showed up with that correct order (which the call center confirmed) and proceeded to scam their way into applying an upgrade. Their phone number goes into a call center and you have to argue your way into speaking to anyone besides the call center person who has no authority to do anything. The "manager" is basically a rude person that talks over you and just spews without even understanding the problem. He stated the order is meaningless...only what the guy can manage to scam/sell you at the house is what matters. He was fine and rather proud to have me put that in the review.

    Even when the technician was told to stop from putting any more deodorizer on the floor he continued to try to sell it, along with trying to sell cleaning more rugs even after being told no several times. What a racket....they have no integrity. The manager readily admitted he was not ok with the guy continuing to try to sell after he was told to stop but refused to do anything about it and hung up. They are horrible and the job they did on the carpet was terrible. They caused the carpet to buckle in several areas that now has to be stretched. The whole thing was a fiasco. DO NOT USE THEM.

    A Stanley steemer employee came to clean next door building. When he parked in their parking lot, he hit my fence and dented it. The fence is fully on my property, not the property line, so he was trespassing too. I asked him to move his car off my fence and he said no. He acknowledged that it was my property but he didn't care. I told him he scratched his car and he said he had many scratches and he didn't care. He said that in order to have enough room he hit my fence on purpose. He got angry when I confronted him and kept saying that I was being rude to him by telling him to move his car off my property and telling him not to damage it.

    WE are currently receiving service from your company. I have called and reported our concerns to several customer service reps, and spoken to whom I was informed was the manager, and still we are subjected to a disappointing and, to be honest, uncomfortable experience with a particular technician, to whom, to be quite frank, I carry a weapon while he is in our house. My insurance company selected your company to perform some remediation work in our home; otherwise, we would cancel the service altogether. We have asked that this particular technician not be returned to our home (to please send someone else), yet that request has been ignored, and they continue to send this guy!

    We have made a verbal request, and now, let this be a documented, official written request. HE is here now, just sits in our driveway, for going on 30 minutes (not sure if there is a tracker on his truck or what), just sitting there like he's billing hours or something!!! We are already nervous about this guy, and about two seconds from going out and telling him to leave!!!!

    I had an issue where the crew came out after have cancelling the appointment 2 days prior. They still wanted to charge my husband and I for the trip they made to our home. I had contacted the manager and he was very, very rude and unprofessional. He tried justifying the cost it takes to send their special trucks and claimed they never got the cancellation notice and offered us 1/2 the charge. I threatened to take legal action and surprise, surprise, they found we did indeed cancel. Will NEVER do business with them in the future. This review requires a star to submit. If I had it my way, Stanley would receive NO Stars!

    Purchased air duct and laundry dryer cleaning. They checked my system for leaks before work and said all looked good. They stated air duct cleaning would improve air quality for 3-5 years before cleaning is needed again. Three weeks after I notice increased dust. I called and they would do nothing. It steadily increased and with 2 months it was bad again. Today, 1 year later my house is covered in dust every 2 days. They also quoted cleaning dryer at $30. When completed he said $50. They gave me the bill at $150. Don't get ripped off by these guys.

    I had a terrible experience with Stanley Steemer. Two young men came to clean my white sleeper sofa. After they left, the sofa has a brownish tinge on it. (not my cushions since I clean those slipcovers myself). They sent others out twice to try and undo what the first cleaning did- no luck. I was told they used cleaning method for synthetic fabric, mine was natural fibers (cotton). They took my sofa to Summerville office for a week, and tried to remove the brownish residue- no luck. I have sent pictures and attempted to reach out to customer service since the last attempt and I get no response. I am VERY UNHAPPY with this company and DO NOT RECOMMEND having furniture cleaned by them. I am left with buying a new sofa, as my friends say it looks "dirty". So SAD...

    Our carpet was just over a year old and to keep the warranty valid, we have to clean it every year. I've always been told steam cleaning is best. After having it cleaned, we had a strong odor of dog. I called and had them come back out and they cleaned it again. The smell was worse after the 2nd time, so I called again. They did nothing but suggest to buy their deodorizer, which I had them deodorize it both times. They had no intentions of doing anything to make me happy. I would never use them again. It just made everything worse.

    I had an appointment date of March 15, between the hours of 8am - 12pm. My husband and I were up at 7am wait for the technicians (Alexis and Nathan) to arrive. I happen to looked at my phone about 10am to discover the technician had text at 7:43 stating they will arrive soon. At 8:12 another text stated that they had arrived and no one answered the door and they would wait 10 minutes and if they missed me I can call to reschedule. I'm saying all this to let others know, Alexis and Nathan never showed. I live in a Co op with many units on a dead end street so someone is alway looking out so deliveries or techs aren't missed. I called and was told they reported they came to my door, plus called me and had no response; that was not true. I have rescheduled for another date, but this time I will call them every half hour to make sure there is no missed appointment again.

    If I could give a 0 rating, I would. Stanley Steemer recently did a ductwork cleaning for my home. The day after the cleaning, I contacted them because I still had dirt and debris coming up out of the first floor ductwork. They sent technicians back out, who went into the crawlspace and advised that the ductwork was damaged (from a recent water leak in our crawlspace) and that it needed replacing. Shortly after, we spent $5,000 having the ductwork replaced. As the old ductwork was being hauled away, the amount of dirt and debris that came out of that ductwork was astonishing! The ducts were NOT cleaned very thoroughly AT all. My issues are the following:

    * I feel the company should assess the condition of the ductwork before they charge $1,000 to clean it, only to tell you the next day that it needs replacing. THIS alone should warrant a partial refund.
    * If the ductwork was truly clean, it shouldn't have large amounts of debris still in them less than 2 weeks later. This makes me question if the second floor of my home's ductwork is actually clean.

    * The amount of dust at the return was also astonishing - WHY wouldn't you clean this area as well?

    Lastly, when presented with the invoice, the company has the nerve to ask for a TIP for the technicians, with suggested amounts starting at 10% of the bill. We spent $3,000. I have never had a similar service company ASK for a tip for the technicians who just did the job you paid the company to do! And to do so while said technicians are standing in front of you. We felt awkward and obligated to give them something, so we did so in cash. Certainly not any of the %'s that were being suggested. Obviously, I regret even doing that seeing as the job wasn't done adequately. I have filed a complaint, with pictures, and am asking for a refund.

    We paid $263 to have our kitchen tile cleaned. After the first technician was finished there was still dirt on the floor that could be easily wiped up with a damp paper towel. We asked for a follow-up. The second technician spent about 45 minutes with their cleaning device. Dirt could still be easily wiped up from the floor with a damp paper towel indicating the "cleaning service" did virtually nothing. The second technician saw this but said "I can't do anything more," and left. I am trying to get a refund, but they say they do not do refunds. Unfortunately, they do not clean floors either.

    My carpet was navy blue with no fading and minimal traffic wear before Stanley Steemer pre-treated and steam cleaned them. After Stanley Steemer's technician pre-treated and cleaned my carpets, while they were still wet, there was severe fading in a blotchy pattern. The employee that cleaned them, Jerry, said that he didn't know what happened to the carpet after cleaning them while he was still in my home. The following week, they sent Logan out to "correct the issue". Logan attempted to correct the discoloration by re-cleaning and raking the carpet which was unsuccessful. Logan said, "I'm going to stop half way through," because what he was doing did not correct the fading.

    Stanley steemer then send out two managers, Andrew and Justin who told me the fading that happened during Stanley Steemer's cleaning process was due to loosened dyes in the carpet from wear and tear and their cleaning extraction just removed the residue which caused the fading of the carpet fibers. Stanley Steemer and their technicians are suppose to be the cleaning experts. If they thought their cleaning could possibly cause fading due to wear from their extraction process, they should have informed me and I would have had the carpets dry cleaned. Their managers, Andrew and Dustin also implied that the carpet was like that before the cleaning as if I was lying, by looking for MLS pictures online from when we purchased our home. Not true!

    If the fading was already there, their employee would have pointed it out before cleaning, as I told them when booking the appointment that there were no stains or issues with the carpet and it was in good condition. To the contrary, the technician Jerry said, "I don't know what this is all over the carpet", after he finished cleaning my carpet. We had two independent companies working in my home for several days the week prior to their cleaning who stated in writing that the carpets were not like that when they were in my home. One of the workers has been back in our home since, and was shocked at the damage caused by the cleaning. Friends and family who have seen the damage can't believe that Stanley Steemer is denying any responsibility.

    The Stanley Steemer corporate representative Lindsay, also claimed it was my fault, and I quote, "because I didn't have my carpets cleaned yearly for maintenance". Stanley Steemer took no responsibility for the fading of my carpet that their company caused during their cleaning process. Corporate denied any claim to the damage and did not take any responsibility for the fading their company caused while cleaning my carpet. Stanley Steemer's efforts at "goodwill" resembled a "buyer beware" attitude best described as "sorry lady about YOUR carpet problem," and their tactics felt scripted. This from a company serving the Cincinnati area three generations for over 30 years. I am upset about the carpet, but more upset about the companies lack of corporate responsibility.

    I had my air ducts cleaned today 12/07/24 and I am not pleased. The gentleman that came was very nice but they didn't clean anything. It was a mess in every room, nails, screws, tons of debris all over my brand new furnace, all over my floors, you name it, it was everywhere. Would not recommend if you want your house to stay clean, on top of it, got to get carpets cleaned.

    We cleared out our living room except for sofa and armoire. When they arrived, they seemed to be in a hurry? They sprayed high traffic areas and explained there could be wear due to age of rug. They spent plenty of time explaining this fact, sprayed high traffic area and were finish with whole project which included stairs in MAYBE 30 minutes. They left water at the beginning and end of each area cleaned and did apologize for doing that. When carpet was dry enough to walk on it, we observed spots that were not cleaned and were not in the high traffic area. Obviously, we were not satisfied, and we will not use this service again. **

    My first experience with Stanley Steemer was wonderful. The employee, Andy, of the Las Vegas location, arrived at my home and successfully upsold me to a package where all the areas that were cleaned today will be cleaned again for 3 additional times within a year. This includes the clean, protect, and deodorize. I was very happy with the bundle and decided to upgrade. He told me that he would leave his card with his phone number, and rather than calling through Stanley Steemer, that I could contact him directly and schedule. Andy never left his card or information.

    As I am now attempting to schedule my second go round, I contacted Stanley Steemer in an attempt to get in contact with Andy. Instead, I was contacted by Anna L. the Regional Officer Manager who advised to me that the verbal contract that was signed and paid for made between Andy and I is out of policy. She stated that the areas will be cleaned but without the protect and deodorize, as was promised and paid for. Upon demanding a refund due to breaking the contract that was made, I was offered under half of what I had originally paid for. Anna L. has advised to me that she will be escalating this matter to Corporate and that she will be in touch. I will be following up next week. This is not customer service. 0/5

    Today David and Mike cleaned our vent ducts. They were on time, did what they were contracted to do and we are totally satisfied. I would recommend them to others. They cleaned up after themselves. I know it will take time to find out if the house is less dusty but for now we are happy.

    Asked Stanley Steemer to return to rework what they did initially since my dryer was slowly performing. Manager Jonathan was point of contact. He had foreman Peter come to my house to do a rework. My TH from Ryan Homes as an end unit exhaust vent for dryer vented from third floor. Peter identified the need to check out the exhaust duct in attic. He succeeded and found the issue that needed attention. Peter totally supported what needed to be done. Tremendous effort by this foreman resolved it. Dryer is back up to speed. Stanley Steemer team is on the mark to support customer needs. Gladly recommend them for dryer duct cleaning.

    I hired SS to clean our carpets. Once the technician left we realized he had stolen my wife’s purse. I contacted the branch manager-Anthony-and after informing him of what had occurred and the fact his technician had committed theft and burglary-both felonies-I asked how they would make this right. I was told they would do nothing to attempt to correct this wrong. Anthony told me they would handle this internally. What does that even mean? I have now filed a report with Tacoma police. I would suggest Wolfs Cleaning. At least they won’t steal from you.

    Don’t use Stanley Steamer duct cleaning. It’s a real poor service, they don’t take the time to do a complete job, they only clean up to 12 feet of duct, which consists of sticking an air hose into the duct, moving it around for 2 to 3 minutes and moving to the next duct. The actual cleaning of my 7 ducts took them approximately 30 minutes and cost 450.00! When done they picked up their equipment and left, no clean up and they left particles all over my floors. Total waste of money and effort, when I called the manager Noah, he said they could do a recleaning, but nothing more, no adjustments.

    Had SS come and “clean” heat ducts. They did not use the equipment (vac truck and spinning brush) they show on commercials. Was a complete joke. They cut holes in furnace, blew a ton of debris deep into furnace. Did not even open furnace afterwards. Left all that crap in furnace! These people are going to burn down houses! When furnace was turned on, stinks like crazy! The ducts are still filthy like they were. This is a scam! It is NOT duct cleaning! They also charged for more ducts than are in home. This company should be shut down. It is completely bogus. They should not be able to commit fraud and continue operating!

    I recently scheduled a carpet cleaning for an elderly relative. When the service technician showed up, he cleaned the designated areas, but when it came time to pay the bill, he charged her $211.00 — well above and beyond the $166.00 quoted. She paid in cash, and when she asked for a receipt, he said he could not provide one but would email it. The receipt showed $127.00 paid in cash to Stanley Steemer, leaving $84.00 in cash unaccounted for.     I would not recommend Stanley Steemer. The technician was very polite but my carpet still has stains on it. The technician put his stain remover on my carpet but the stains still did not come out. The technician told me to try baking soda, which we did and the stains where I put baking soda came out. I ran out of baking soda but was not offered for him to come back or to go to the store to get more baking soda to finish the job. I called the company back and was told that they could not guarantee that all stains would be removed. It sounds simple to me, they may need to have baking soda on hand, and of course they still expected their payment. Live and Learn, but won't do that again, oh and I just received a text from Stanley Steemer saying my technician was on his way (he has already been here and left).

    I would never recommend Stanley Steemer ever again. They were very expensive. The technician came and sold me on more than I was planning with a yearly clean of extra cleanings. When he was done after one hour of cleaning for four rooms and a hall, my rug still showed dirt in the high traffic area, and there were still stains on my rug. After he left, I ended up getting out my residential carpet cleaner and still tons of dirt came out of my carpet on those high traffic areas. I was able to get the stains out myself. Definitely not worth the money and all they would do is refund me the one year cleaning guarantee fee. They would not refund me any of the money for the two rooms that were dirty. What a rip off!!

    We hired Stanley Steemer to clean our hardwood floors and stairway carpet. We were made to provide a credit card number before the technician would begin the cleaning. Upon completion I told the technician I was unhappy with how they turned out-they looked worse than before. The technician said that her manager told her the “haze” caused by area rugs could only be removed by chemical stripping and refinishing the floors. I requested the manager contact us both through the technician and by calling their 800 number and was told we would hear from him on Friday. Three days later and we’re still waiting. Went to Home Depot and purchased floor products and spent today cleaning the floors myself and they look 1000% better! The floors weren’t even clean after the Stanley Steemer cleaning. Brand new Bona pads and they were dirty and still dirt on the floor. A HUGE rip off!!

    The men arrived and told me they would be using the machine, not the truck. I informed them that I wanted the truck. Very long story short, along with several calls to Stanley Steemer, they left. The drove down the road and parked. We've always used the truck, which is much better than the hand machine. Shortly thereafter they came back for another unit's appointment. She was told the same thing. She refused and they then proceed to use the truck and ran the hose up the stairwell. I was left with nothing but lies, lies, and more lies. We will never, every use of recommend Stanley Steemer to anyone.

    I had a service order and moved my furniture out. The day they were to come between 8-1 I received a text that they were behind and would not make it before I had to pick up kids. They rescheduled the next day same time slot. Text at 12 they were running behind yet again. My neighbor came down to wait on them. I returned home hours later only to find the carpet still smelled like cat pee. They did a crap job and it was only around my furniture so it wasn’t much at all.     What they are really good at is not taking any responsibility for damages that they have done. Chipped tile under kitchen vent...Dented main air intake duct that makes loud popping noise every time air conditioning starts and stops...Expected a much better care for my property. It's just very upsetting that you go with "the Best" and more expensive company and this is what you get. Can NOT recommend unfortunately. Special "thanks" to Jeremy ** and Micheal ** (technicians). P.S.: they broke that piece of a tile off and instead of giving it back to me so that I can possibly fix my floor, they instead preferred to throw it away and cover the job up in hopes that I will not see it. But I did right away.

    I will never use or recommend this company again. (Midlothian Va) Difficulty scheduling, horrible communication between the schedulers and their teams. We had to tear up two rooms of carpet after it was “cleaned”.. No furniture was moved. Carpet was soaked for 36 hours. We ordered deodorizing which was obvious not done. Sofa was touched. 2 recliners could have possibly been touched.

    Lastly, the cleaning solution was poured in the grass and there are 3 HUGE spots of dead grass. I called yesterday and after 3-4 hours a manager called me back. Apologized, etc. I demanded a refund. He eventually agreed and it’s supposed to be done tomorrow. Also…. time from was 12-6. He got here at 6:01 and finished in less than 1 1/2, hours.     I can not understand why BBB is rating Stanley Steemer A+. I filed a complaint with bbb. Here is bbb’s respond: “Your bbb has tried to present your complaint to stanley steemer carpet cleaner in an attempt to resolve this matter to your mutual satisfaction. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we have received no response to your complaint.”

    Stanley Steemer came to shampoo my carpets on 05/24/24. When they left, I noticed carpet's buckling. Immediately, I called customer service, I was told to wait a few days till the carpets dried. On 05/26/24 there was no improvement in carpet’s bulking. Also, noticed black dirty water in the toilet where they emptied from the machine & chip floor tile. Called on 05/27/24 & following up to my original complaint on 05/24/24, the damaged chip tile was also reported to customer service. An appointment was set for re-visit 05/28/24. Staff showed up with equipments to clean the carpets again. I told them the issue was to fix carpet's buckling & chip tile. One of the staff said that is not on the order, he called the office & spoke to someone at stanley steemer. He took pictures of damages & send the photos to person on the phone. After the call he said he spoke to the supervisor christopher s…. & he will get back to me.

    Called on 05/31/24 & spoke to tammy to follow up, she said someone will call me. Called on 06/01/24 & spoke to micheal to follow up, he put me on hold & after a few minutes said he spoke to a supervisor & he was driving but will call me soon or on monday. On 06/03/24 christopher s… called & confirmed he had received the pictures of damages & will call me in a few hours to set up an appointment for 06/04/24 or 06/05/24. On 06/18/24 christopher s… called & asked me to call "Joseph" at phone number **-**-1546 & make an appointment with him to stretch the carpet & he would come at the same time as joseph to look at damage. Immediately I called joseph & left two messages for him. Joseph never called me back. As of today, I have not received any calls or further communications and/or follow ups from stanley steemer to resolve the issue.

    Please be aware that this company may charge extra for additional services, like installing a UV light. When I had my ducts cleaned, they recommended the UV light and made it seem like a great deal. However, I later learned from a neighbor that I was charged an extra $500.     Don't call Stanley Steemer especially in the Columbia SC area. The guy that came to our house created a lot of work for me removing all the water from my carpet. I should not be able to pull up more than 2 cups of liquid from 1/2 of a room. I could have sprayed my floors with a waterhose myself. I had to move my own furniture. He was just cleaning around it even my end table, coffee table and dining room chairs before he finally got the hint. He could have probably done a better job if he could put his phone down, and he would not have been banging the cleaner head repeatedly into my furniture legs. Called the same day to report this person but that fell on deaf ears. They do not refund money. 2 days later, after I had dried the floors with my own shampooer they offered to have someone come out to reclean.

    We have used this company for years but never again. I will stick with someone who respects my property and stands behind their work. Congratulations Stanley Steemer, you got me. Shame on you! Looks like I'm not the only one with issues with this company. Check out social media. No wonder they don't stand behind their services, they would be broke. Bet they don't have a lot of repeat business since this location is no longer a locally owned franchise but corp owned.

    When we were quoted $600 over the phone to clean the carpets, tile & hardwood flooring, I expected that I would see an amazing difference & they would look like new & was willing to pay for that. How wrong I was! The tiles & hardwood floors were dull & we were told that was because we didn’t purchase the protectant (or sealer or whatever it was). Also, the corners & small spaces looked like the crud had just been pushed & left there. We were told that was because their machine couldn’t reach the small spaces. I expected for that much money, the build up on the tiles would be deep cleaned & buffed out, but they really didn’t look any better than before. They did talk us into the protectant for the carpets, warning us that if we didn’t, they would be worse off than before, but of course, that was be an additional cost. The carpets were really wet for two days! I was sick when our total bill was nearly a grand. I can’t believe these guys are still in business.

    I hired Stanley Steemer to clean my couch so that it would be ready to move into our new home. I was already a little shocked that it cost $238 for a regular size couch but I figured it would be worth the price. I was wrong. The stains that I wanted to removed still looked exactly the same when the guys left. I asked them why I can still see the stains and they basically said it wouldn't come out. IT WAS A DIRT STAIN!!! I paid $238 and they can't remove dirt stains? The only difference after cleaning is the smell from the $55 deodorizer.

    One Star because – when Stanley Steemer ruined our 6’x14’ fine wool rug, they handed over the case to their Insurance Adjuster, rather than taking responsibility themselves for the replacement. Background: Previously, we had recently used Stanley Steemer on two occasions where the work was perfect. Therefore, we were quick to call them to remove a few mud footprints on our hall rug. All seemed well, and the rug was cleaned. I paid over $600 for the service at that time. However, the rug would not flatten out; ripples persisted. SS came back and took the rug to their NY workroom where the final restitution did not succeed. We were told the rug was irreparably damaged.

    I cannot vouch for how the rug became damaged… Too much steam? I do not know. I just know that Stanley Steemer washed their hands of the incident, turned it over to an insurance adjuster, and moved on without being supportive of a loyal customer. I spent almost 2 months haggling with their adjuster about what was fair & right because of Stanley Steemer’s carelessness. I got nowhere. The adjuster was not going to give us the replacement cost for our very fine rug. Although the rug was 9 years old, it was in perfect condition and would have lasted us a lifetime.

    I provide this information for your consideration only. Be alert – Accidents can happen and when they do, you want to be dealing with a company that will not run away from their customer obligations. Stanley Steemer’s services are broad; their work can be superb; but accidents can happen, and that’s when you want SS taking full responsibility for any incurred damage. Otherwise, you will be left like we were – receiving a pittance from their insurance adjuster for a very big blunder. We used the Stanley Steemer of Edison, NJ and live in Princeton, NJ.

    Summary: $515 for 45 minutes of work. They did 1 very quick pass over most of the carpet in my main bedroom while I moved all of the furniture myself. I also called out an obvious stain/spot after “cleaning” that he did not see due to him rushing through. He then slowly passed over that one spot a few times and it completely cleaned it (leading to me wishing they would have put some effort into the rest of the house). I then questioned them about completing 3 bedrooms, a hallway and a flight of stairs on 20 minutes, to which he replied “Yeah your carpets are not that bad”.

    Made the mistake of paying for deodorizer and they literally walk past each room and wave a misting wand into the room…useless. After finishing that, I asked him to actually deodorize my master bedroom as they did not move any furniture to even try (note - I put bed/dresser/desk on sliding disks before they arrived). I did the math, they charged me $11.44 per minute of cleaning. Absolute ripoff (Saginaw, MI branch).

    BUYER BEWARE... Today I had an apptmt. with Stanley Steamer, New Port Richey, FL, to clean my living room's wood floors. Previously, I was given a price, based on Sq. Footage, of $160.00. I will try to attach a picture of the wood floor.... Just wanted a simple cleaning job before installing a rug. The tech arrived, and immediately said my floors should be stripped and then cleaned, and his price to do the job today, as planned, would be (well over) $300.00. I even offered to sign a waiver for "just cleaning!" The tech was very negative & flatly refused, saying "the company" doesn't allow him to simply clean wood floors. The office rep. who made the appt. did not offer me a hint that the tech would refuse to clean the floor unless I agreed on a much higher price! BUYER BEWARE... A "bait & switch" operation... After waiting hours with a "5 hour window," I am very disappointed and will not use this company for any cleaning jobs in the future.

    I am very unhappy with this company. I was quoted 167 dollars. When they arrived they said they would need to do additional things, but didn't provide a breakdown of the additional pricing. Also, they brought a carpet up saying, oh, this matches your house, without advising it would cost extra, which I found to be a very shady way of doing business. They should not provide any pricing expectations till they arrive, then at that point, be very specific about the pricing for each service. The way this was done was very underhanded, and they took advantage.

    I received terrible service. They did not move any furniture to clean under easily moveable furniture, not even under a desk that was open space. Not under a trash can that could have been moved easily. Not under a shredder on wheels, not under a small file cabinet on wheels. The room was about 12 by 12. Not expecting them to move anything heavy at all. These all could have easily by pushed to one side. Then I called management to complain and they were worthless too!

    After 24 years, and the second round of teens occupying two of my bedrooms, the carpets were a mess. I had replaced the flooring throughout the rest of the house, but not these rooms. Unable to afford new flooring, but wanting better-looking carpets, I called Stanley Steemer. They were able to fit me in two days later. My service technician was Ryan and he was great! He was personable and professional, but most importantly, his work was incredible! Spots I never thought would come up are gone! Truly, there is no need to replace the carpets. They look nearly new.     We hired this company for a large office duct cleaning. The 'technicians' they sent out were unprofessional and dirty. They promised during the quote they would come wipe down all the vents and ensure they were left without the black dust showing. They did not do that, they vacuumed up what they could reach and that was it. I would have just let it go and not used their services however while they were here, one of the cleaners asked to use our vacuum, I asked what for and he said to clean up after himself. I bought him an old shark to use and I didn't find out until afterward that they pulled our brand new Prolux Vacuum Cleaner out of the closet and used that to clean. The next time we went to use the prolux the belt snapped and the motor filled with smoke.

    I had to call every day for a week before I could finally reach a manager. His condescending offer was to replace the belt and stated we shouldn't have allowed his techs to use any vacuums. What a joke! They should not have asked. What was the other option? They didn't bring their own floor vacuums so we were supposed to let the office stay dirty with dust and whatever else on the floor. Horrible customer service. Over 8000.00 bill, incompetent technicians and I am not convinced the ducts are even better off for it. Buyer Beware. Don't use this company!

    I made an appointment to have my tile and grout cleaned and sealed. Stanley Steemer gave me a date and time for my appointment. The window of time: 12-5 p.m. Their tech, Amir, shows up at 4:22, walks in and says he can't do the job because it'll take 3-4 hours (no kidding, I told them I had four rooms!). When I asked him why they would schedule me at this time, only to not do the job, his response was just plain stupid. "We are busy" and they schedule as many appointments as possible. Really! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! Seriously, you are better off going with real professionals like Grout Genie or Grout Medic. Five hours of my life I can't get back!

What came out of the carpet was disgusting. I then called the company back and informed them of the situation. They advised me they would send someone out to make it right.

    The same gentleman came back out to my house and didn’t stay longer than 10 minutes. Once again, the carpets were still disgusting and smelled sour. I have since called the company on several occasions to which the administrative assistant told me she would let the manager know, and he may or may not call me back. I have not heard from him. Do not use this company or its services. It is a complete waste of money and time. If you’re thinking of getting your carpets cleaned by a professional, this isn’t the company for you.

    I recently bought a house at ** Dunlap. The young kids did a horrible job. Got to the job & had to leave & get another truck due to issues with the original truck. Came back & hooked up to two faucets just to waste as much water spraying out compared to what was being used. Apparently, they were out a few months earlier they said before I bought.     $404.00 for an RV carpet and 2 chairs. No discount was given after talking to the company. They charged me in SqFt in my bedroom (bed can’t move it’s fixed to the floor). It had 3 strips of carpet and included the bed, not very much and my LV room/ dining room. After they left I put a white clean towel on the still wet carpet and I got a filthy foot mark from the rug. Disgusting!! I did a better job with my own rug cleaner. I couldn’t do it b/c I was healing from 3 surgeries on my hand. Do yourself a favor. IF you can do it yourself do it.     Our order was for one carpeted room and 6 upholstered chairs. Including stain protection and odor pre-treatment. We moved most things out of the room and vacuumed. And we lined up all the chairs to be cleaned. When they finished, the carpet looked good (they went over it with a push broom to give it a nice even look). But after it dried, we vacuumed again and pretty much filled the chamber in the Dyson. How did it get that dirty again so fast? Did they really even clean it? And don't notice it smelling any better.

    But perception can vary from person to person, so let me say what motivated me to write this review: the upholstered chairs for which they upsold me on the fabric protector. And wouldn't you know it, a few days later there was a coffee spill. Cleaning it up was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be, especially with a fresh coat of fabric protection. Did they really add fabric protection? I doubt it. Anyway, I will not be using them again or recommending them.

    I called Stanley Steemer because they had a $59 special for two rooms. We made an appointment for today between 9 AM and 11 AM. The technician did not show up until 12 PM. Then they said, "We are going to charge you $350 for these two rooms." When I tried to cancel the service, they said, "We’re going to charge you for a transportation service fee," basically extorting me for money. How they went from $59-$350 is beyond me. I would never recommend this company to anybody. They are unprofessional, rude, and they have false advertising just say the least.

    I am in the process of selling my home and I called Stanley Steemers to complete work on one room and spot-clean a few other areas. They did the job on the random spot areas, but the bulk of what I paid for in one room was left the same. The worker was in there all of 15 minutes and was really nonresponsive to my concerns on how I paid for a job I did not receive.

    When I called the 1800 number back about my concerns that same day, they reassured me they would have a more senior and different crew to come back and if that did not work, they would see what they could do in regard to a refund or a discounted price. 3 days later when they returned it was the same man that was there before. He did and acted the same and didn't fix the issue or care.

    That same day I called back again, and they stated the manager would reach out to me. When he called me back the following day he just said, "Yes you called about an issue on that carpet". I was like, "Yeah they didn't clean it" and he went on to state they tried. I informed him about what the company stated they would do for me, and he did not honor it. I told him, "I had a fixed budget, because I am selling this home and I feel like you all ripped me off." He refused to give a discount show any concern.

    He stated, "We don't know if we can get up the stains unless we try." So you take my money and hope for the best? This is garbage and I thought the slogan is "Call 1800 Steemers your certified cleaners," not "Call 1800 Steemers we'll take your money and see what we can do". You all are the experts and not me, which is why I paid for the service. He pretty much hung up on me without a care in the world. The 1800 number does no justice, because they just act as a middleman that passes you right back to the local division that serviced you.

    I was warned about using them. But yes, I fell for their scam too. I highly recommend you do not use them. They don't bother to do a professional assessment before they work. They will work and take your money regardless of if the job is complete to their standards or your expectations. If the stain was not going to come out, I would expect a company in service as long as they have been to be able to do an assessment and give it to the customer straight, that way we can make a decision whether or not we want to spend my money to even try.

    Today we had Stanley Steamer come out, and do our ducts and carpet. They arrived on time and came in accessed the job, gave us an upfront cost; and then did what they said they were going to do. During the time in our home, they were professional and stuck to doing the job in the most efficient manner and were very clean in their job. I got to see photos of the amount of dust/hair and foreign stuff that came out of my system.

    I see a lot of negative reviews but this was not my experience. Both workers did their company proud and because of their positive work I will highly recommend the York Office. The results of these services way outweigh the cost of them. When breathing and walking on clean carpets and ductwork there can be no shortcomings. Thank you Tyrone ** and Pablo **. Due to your professionalism and positive results I would recommend this team in my house again.

    I was in need to clean my beautiful Ethan Allen upholstered white dining chairs and a bed headboard. I doubted for several months which company to hire because this pieces are very expensive and I didn't want to ruin them. Finally someone told me Stanley Steemer was good and I hire them. BIG mistake!!! Before they started I asked if I should protect the nightstands and other furniture around the bed. The guy said no, it will not be wet! They "cleaned" first the headboard and the stains remained on it. They said after dried it would look better, which was not the case! Instead the whole room was a mess, all the floor wet and dirty to the point that I had to change three times the mop!

    While I was dry cleaning the bedroom floor they were "cleaning" the dining chairs. They called me when they were done...and it was when I saw one of my beautiful Ethan Allen chairs was ripped!!! I was so upset! I told the guy that he might have brushed it too strong and he said "the chair was ripped since he started the cleaning"!!! It's a lie! All the chairs were in perfect shape! Only had a little shades of dirt due to normal use!!! Now I don't know what to do! The guy took a picture behind my back and transferred my signature to it, so it looks like I agreed that it was ripped! It's my word against his!!! Oh I wish I'd never called this people!!!! After they left, my whole place looked like a hurricane had passed through it, all wet and dirty. I spent several hours moping and drying the floors!!! Please don't hire this people!!!

    On Sept 15, 2023, Stanley Steemer charged me $1552.31 to clean ducts/dryer vent and install a Restore unit to filter air ducts of germs. At the end of this work, my Air Conditioning Unit would not turn back on. The technician spent almost an hour on the phone with the Austin office to get it restarted. When the A/C resumed working it never work properly since. I turned off the unit on Oct 12th and it would not stop blowing and the compression continued to run (while off!). Stanley Steemer returned to inspect the work and not only disclosed that the technician who did the work was fired but agreed that several other issues that I identified was also done incorrectly. The Austin office AirDuct Manager also agreed to send someone over to fix the poorly done work.

    On the date scheduled for a return visit, no one from Stanley Steemer showed up at my home. My calls and text messages to the manager went unanswered. I escalated to the corporate office who promised a response in 48 hours. That time has come and gone and still no update from Stanley Steemer. Be warned about the Austin location. I have used Stanley Steemer for over a decade and not only am I shocked by this treatment of a customer, I no longer want to do business with this company.

    Let me start with we scheduled for a 3:15 pm appt and got a call on the day of service that they were a half hour away. This was at 1 pm! We scheduled around our work schedule for a reason! Had to leave work 2 hours early because of this! Do NOT appreciate that at all! Missed out on 2 hrs wages because the workers wanted to get our job done sooner I guess.

    Had our ducts cleaned. When we called to get an estimate we were told one price. They asked how many vents, never asked about how many return vents. Quoted us just on "vents" and also gave a quote on dryer vent cleaning. Needless to say, the end price was like $100 over what they originally said it would be. Do better SS and be sure you are asking more questions so you can give an accurate quote so your customers are not surprised upon payment! Also, when consumers schedule appointments please stick to those scheduled times!

    They came out to do a water extraction following flooding. For 343 Sq ft, it took them less than 15 minutes to complete the job! I walked on the carpet later that evening and it was soaked!!! I called them back and they sent someone else out the next day. This guy constantly talked and insisted that I watch him while he worked (I eventually walked away). The carpet was 1% drier when he left. After 2 weeks I noticed mold growing and had to have the carpet removed. $456.00 down the drain.

    To start with, I have myself a carpet shampooer that does an excellent job! I am cleaning my carpets regularly so I can tell my carpets aren't dirty. We don't walk with outdoor shoes inside either. Anyways, my wrist was hurting me lately etc etc so I decided to call Stanley Steamer. The guy arrived and he started setting up the hose etc. He took water from my sink to fill up his bucket what goes into the cleaner. I am not even sure if he used hot water at all, then he sprinkled some shampoo on my carpet. Yes sprinkled it. Anyhow he finished super fast for my whole area. I was a little surprised. Initially I wanted to clean the area on my 1st floor only. He was saying, "Oh this is steaming the carpet. It's way more powerful than the store purchased shampooers" and so on. I decided to clean 2 more bedrooms and stairs.

    After he finished I didn't see any difference on my carpets whatsoever, I was thinking because of my regular vacuuming and cleaning it. Within two weeks I saw a spot and started to clean it with my own machine. I saw the water what I sucked up was looking dirty then I started shampooing other areas to see if it's the same. Sure enough, I realized that Stanley Steemer carpet cleaning was a waste of money. Totally! I called in and told them what happened and they put it on record promising I'll get a call within 3 days. Never happened. I DO NOT recommend Stanley. Be kind to yourself and buy your own shampooer and get the job done properly. I am very highly dissatisfied!!!!

    They had come from a job at Lincoln, NE, which is about 60 miles from Blair, NE. The heavy set GUY couldn’t even stop at a Filling Station to go to BATHROOM, before starting a JOB. I did NOT know they had big Machines to GO DOWNSTAIRS, steep, I asked the person on Phone when I ordered if THEY a LARGE TUBe or Machine, THEY didn’t Know. I’ve seen a TUBE in Advertisements. We did have an entrance on the outside, the guy got VERY PUSHY, on what I wanted to DO!! They went outdoor entrance,. They went to seal up the vents, like they were keeping me busy! They CUT a HOLE in the Duct on Furance, they Didn’t TELL me About that! Also didn’t take a Picture of HOW much DIRT, just showed me SOMEONE Else’s VENTS!! I asked HOW MUCH dirt &Show ME!! They couldn’t & said, that back large area was WHITER & I didn’t see that to Begin!!

    This is an OLDER House & probably NEEDED it, BUT I have been Shown WHAT they GOT!! I will give Stanley a VERY BAD REPORT, we are about 25 miles from Omaha, NE & there has Been a request for Duct Cleaning here in small town!! I WILL NEVER do this again!! I used Stanley many YEARS ago in Omaha, did Excellent but WON’T recommend them on ANYTHING!!

    I paid $800 to have my air ducts and dryer vent cleaned. It was a TERRIBLE experience. There was dust and debris all over my home. They broke my dryer vent. My vents were filthy following the cleaning - My family started feeling ill after the service and I decided to have another company review. They confirmed that the work was not completed correctly and that Stanley Steemer simply stirred up the dirt in my system. (Made complete sense since there was extreme levels of dirt and debris all over my home.)

    -In addition to their terrible work, the technicians left my HVAC filter lying on the ground & failed to turn my condenser back on following the service. They also left my system on 62 degrees. With temperatures in the 90's my home became very hot & I was under the impression that my system was damage and called a HVAC tech. They confirmed that the tech never turned on my compressor. I reached out to the company for a PARTIAL refund and they declined. Their only solution was for me to allow them back in to my home to finish the work. This company will NEVER be allowed to work in my home again.

    June 6 we paid almost $700 to have our ac ducts cleaned, and they were supposed to show us their before and after photos. But the workers were in too much of a hurry to do more than three seconds of flipping through the photos quickly and told me gruffly that I can contact the salesman Jeff ** and he would send us all the pictures. My husband has called two or three times and sent an email, I have called twice. Jeff was not available but the office staff told both of us we would get the photos within 24-48 hours. They have had plenty of time over the past 2 1/2 months to send us the photos, and still no reply whatsoever. It makes me wonder if they are hiding something. You can avoid a lot of frustration and feeling ignored by giving your business to a different duct cleaning company.

    I had Stanley Steemer in August to clean a carpet before selling my home. Louis and Marcus were the cleaners. Their professionalism was 10 stars. They never cussed and were there to work to the best job possibly. I did not realize that they did wood floors as well. I had used the wrong product on my engineered wood floors and it had left a scum or film on top. I had ask another company to look at it and they told me that he needed to resurface my floors. The problem with engineered wood floors if you have them resurfaced you can only do this 1 or maybe 2 times. We were selling the house and the cost he gave me was too much.

    When Stanley Steemer came in he said he could do it without resurfacing it but rather just using their product and removing the film and then buffing. The result was what looked like a new floor without the damage of resurfacing. I would have Stanley Steemer for any of my tile, wood or carpet floors anytime and if I could get Marcus and Louis back I would in a heartbeat. Louis was training Marcus and I could tell he took both teacher and student were wanting to do their best and beyond. Not only is their product outstanding but their prices and their people are topnotch.

    I had Stanley Steemer come to my house for several services. I wanted my kitchen tile cleaned & the grout cleaned up. The 2 gentlemen were so friendly, efficient & knowledgeable that I decided to have the same service done on my bathroom tile. The next room was my dining room. There is wood floor in there & they cleaned it. Wow, did the floor pop w/ a shine.

    I also had a large area carpet in my bedroom. The gentlemen said it would save me money for the carpet to be taken out to their shop & cleaned. Thank you for the heads up in savings. As I was explaining what I wanted done a neighbor’s dog came in & peed on a smaller rug in my sunroom. One man told me he could clean it immediately so the spot didn’t seep into the carpet even more. What a great gesture. He knew I was a bit frazzled when this happened.

    I had 4 area rugs cleaned. Spring cleaning was much easier w/ the floors & rugs looking great. It motivated me to do a thorough cleaning. The 2 men did a fabulous job! I ask for them specifically whenever I need work done. The tile grout in the bathroom dried w/ an orange tinge to it. I called the office & they sent out 2 guys to redo the color. 4 gentlemen showed up. 2 men had the specific color I needed. One guy’s name was Christian. Very nice man. I wish I could remember the other 3 guys’ names. They all did a super job. I will recommend Stanley Steemer to all my friends. I’m very happy w/ the work done, the knowledgeable guys & their ability to work w/ me as to the color of the grout. Their efficiency & personable manner was outstanding. These 4 men deserve a raise or special recognition for their superior work ethic.

    I was charged $200.00 over online quote. Wanted high traffic areas cleaned, carpet otherwise decent. Traffic areas were the same when he left! He told me I needed new carpet as it could not be cleaned! After he left I cleaned all areas to perfection with my Shark cleaner and Spray and Wash! This man needs training! They may remove allergens from carpet (as does my vacuum), but they do not clean carpets! Call anyone else, as everyone I have used before have done an excellent job and Stanley Steemer did nothing for way too much money!

    Horrible place to call for any service. After they gave my boss an ok for carpet cleaning and floor waxing and buffing they get to our place of business saying they can only do the carpets after all the hard work we all did moving furniture around. Mind you this is a very busy medical office. They told my boss they would have to come back next week to do the floors. Horrible. Do not use this company. Just look at the rest of these reviews.     The Ridge, Morgantown WV. My landlord at the Ridge hired them to come clean a room in my apartment. They let my dog run away and didn't notify anybody. I was at work and a neighbor called me telling me that my dog is loose. I asked these guys if they let my dog run away. He was an ** about it and didn't say sorry and said it is not his responsibility. What about some common sense, ethics and morals? He should have at least called the landlord and told him that my dog is loose.

    Griffin with Stanley Steemer did not do a good job. He told my husband that the carpet was still wet and that it would look cleaner when it dried. When I got home in the evening, I noticed that the carpet still looked dirty. I called Stanley Steemer and was told that someone would call me back. I didn't hear back from them, so I cleaned the stains myself with my spot carpet cleaner and then eventually with my own carpet cleaner machine and the carpet came clean. The water collected was dirty, like no solution had been used. I have called Stanley Steemer 3 times and asked to speak to a manager, but no one has called me back. I feel that if my spot cleaner and my carpet cleaner machine was able to get the dirt out, a professional steamer machine would be able to do a better job. I'm very unhappy with the service that I received from Stanley Steemer and would not recommend them. They are not professional-in cleaning and in returning phone calls.

    So needed my carpets cleaned and the kid that showed up was polite and seemed capable. He informed me he couldn't guarantee he could get out a few stains BUT as far as I can see he really just pushed around the dirt! I did the carpets before and they looked better than this did!! I thought since it was a professional job it would look a whole lot better than this! I could have saved my money and did it myself. So disgusted! But you have no defense-they have you sign as soon as finished, how do you tell them NO!! SO NOW DOWN ON MY HANDS AND KNEES CLEANING ALL THE DIRTY SPOTS!!     Last year had duct work cleaning, they shows up with dirty truck, duct work did not get clean. Still had dust in the air. This was a shame job and they broke all the vents seals on the air vent and did not resealed the vents around the edges. Very sloppy job, never gave them in my house again.     Long story short: do not trust this company! They quote you one thing over the phone perfectly and then charge you differently on the back end. Very crooked people, even the “corporate manger” that’s what he called himself, did not take for account the wasted time and aggravation. After waiting so long for an appointment and then dealing with people that came to preform the services. This company is just as bad as the people that show up on marketplace that wanna clean your ducts. Stay away. Do your research (unlike me), find a company with great reviews. Good luck.

    I received several quantifiers from their manager as to why the grout was still discolored; the floor had not been cleaned in a while, the grout is white and therefore stains more easily, and we guarantee to clean it, not remove stains. So if you have an expectation of a professional cleaner actually cleaning your tile floor and grout, do not call Stanley Steemer.

    I’m disappointed with Stanley Steemer due to giving me an incorrect total due before coming over and telling me something different. I have one small bedroom and the floor of a closet. Online I have a confirmation of $150. When SS showed up, he was kind, he said the website is wrong, it’s not updated, and we can’t go off the website and it was a minimum of $250. As a customer, am I supposed to assume the website needs updating with its costs? And if the tech fluently knew this (it’s not his fault), why wouldn’t the company update/change it so it’s accurate to what you charge now? When I called SS the woman on the phone (who wasn’t quite pleasant) said it’s $150 but there’s additional costs like stain lifter, etc and that’s why my charge was $250. So unfortunately I got two different answers as to why they came all the way to my home with massive amounts of equipment to tell me it’s $100 more than I was told, no exceptions.

    The tech took maybe 15-20 minutes cleaning which I didn’t think was anywhere near worth $250. I feel like I could’ve vacuumed and bought store products and a store machine for that much and did it myself. I also expected it to smell fresh. Then I was told someone had tried cleaning the stains so their cleaning solution left a purple stain and there was nothing he could do about it. I asked if he could clean it a second time for that amount of money and try to remove a stain that was done by SS. I understand why he said no, besides the policy mainly because it was wet and he didn’t want to overdue it because it needed to dry. The tech was very pleasant, he was just doing his job. The woman on the phone was not helpful or understanding and the website is clearly outdated with old prices. Won’t recommend and I wish I would’ve hired someone else.

    Be aware, this is not an honest company. 1) They did an extra job after I asked them not to, charged me for it...and as it turns out even cleaned out the wrong duct!. I have called them about 4 times and they don't return calls. Besides this, they offered an extra service to clean "bacteria" and upon checking..my ducts are still full of dirt. I highly recommend not wasting your time and money.

    At first I was pretty excited to have Stanley Steamer come out to clean a mattress and 2 rooms of carpet. After the cleaners were finished, I really couldn't believe me eyes! My carpet was not much cleaner than it was before! In the past I've had people come clean my carpets that did a much better job for less money! The spots that were removed was about 10% out of 100%! I was quoted one price and ended up paying $100 more...not good for my limited income! Since I have to clean my carpet myself, next time I'll go with a different service...maybe cousin Bubba or somebody. At least I'd know what to expect! Save your money; rent a machine from Wal-Mart!! Oh yeah, the mattress was about 70% clean.

    Over the years Stanley Steemer or my wife cleaned the carpets. My wife would use a rental unit from a home store over the years. We are moving and I suggested to my wife to use Stanley Steemer to make it easier on her. Hiring Stanley Steemer was a complete waste of money. They use some sort of citrus cleaner and said the stains were in all the fibers on the ENTIRE CARPET for multiple rooms and levels!!!! Strange, the prior year my wife cleaned the main area it was so much better than what they did. Their cleaner smelled like citrus. My wife's cleaner smelled like a cleaner! We will not use them again. If we want to throw our money away we'll go to Las Vegas.

    Am shocked that they would have someone in a management position such as Jonathan (Mount Dora, Florida). He did such an atrocious job to my mom's home. He did not vacuum around the beds. There was a large stain on the carpet. Never even vacuumed it. It was in a corner. The other two bedrooms he left wet. I had to go ascertain a wet vac and vacuum the place myself. Even when the other people came to re-clean the carpets they told me it was not done properly and they were shocked how much dirt was still there. I'm absolutely appalled that you would have him as a manager and I hope you never sent him to our house again. He takes advantage of the elderly.

    They arrived to clean my area rug and couldn’t find the tag indicating material To see if it was safe to steam clean. Alex me if I knew and I didn’t have any idea. Tested a spot and asked if if they could proceed. Looked fine when they were done but was covered in brown spots in the morning. I flipped the corner of the rug and there was the tag indicating made with viscose. They indicated that was the issue as it couldn’t be steamed cleaned and it was all on me since I said to proceed. Seems like locating the tag to avoid this is pretty basic. Refused to make it right. Check the photos out and judge for yourselves. I’d recommend finding someone else to clean your carpet.

    Very unhappy..NEVER AGAIN. They didn’t Stained, Didn’t move any furniture. 3 Rooms and 13 STAIRS took less than half hour. Also for Deodorizer asked me over $ 100 more. They said my carpet will smell if they don’t deodorize. I did not pay extra $100. I refuse to pay more..

    It took 8 hours for my carpet to dry. That is way too wet for carpet. This type of cleaning pushes the dirt to your padding and wears your carpet and can loosen the carpet over time. Only the surface of the carpet should be cleaned. Your padding should not get wet. I pointed out some urine on my carpet from a dog that visited and it was still there after they left. I also understand that MJ is legal in CO but it should be separated from your work when representing a business. This man showed up smelling like he had just smoked right before he showed up. I do not recommend Colorado Springs SS at all.

    I came home. Took my shoes off outside. Walked on the still wet carpet (understandable), walked to the kitchen in my white socks. And my socks are filthy. I have to get out my own carpet cleaner and clean the whole house. Again. After I paid someone else to.

    Stanley Steamer came out to clean my ducting throughout my house, They came with a big Stanley steemer vacuum truck but never used it to suck out the dust. They only used compressed air with a thin attachment that fit through the grates on the vent slits (they don’t even remove the vent covers (only removed the return vents) and a small hand held vacuum cleaner to suck up what was blown down the duct. They showed me what they were going to vacuum up but it didn’t seem like very much as this was the 1st time in 20 years that the ducts were cleaned and we have always had cats and dogs in the house.

    I looked up the vent after they left and it looked dusty and dirty to me. Plus I spent an additional $300 on an antibacterial solution that was suppose to give my home a clean fresh smell but when the heat kicked on it didn’t smell fresh or any different than it did before. I’m doubting that they even used it. WAY WAY WAY overpriced for what they did, it was a complete rip off!!! Would never recommend Stanley Steemer for duct cleaning.

    Stanley Steemer connected to a broken faucet that had been deliberately disabled to prevent use. (The handle was removed.) Another faucet was available about 40 ft. away. They later informed me that the primary/master bath was flooding. They caused between $8-10 thousand dollars of damage. The manager says this is not their fault. I no longer recommend Stanley Steemer.

    Did not prep for stains. Did a terrible job and the carpet in study looks like it has never been cleaned. Did a good job with vinyl as we were watching over them. Have used them before and they did a good job. They charge more than other companies and do a much worse job.

    I have been a customer of Stanley Steemer for years. I recently hired them to clean my carpet. The tech stated he was to spray a deodorizer on my floor. A fees days after my clean, I noticed swirl marks on my floor. I informed them of the issue, another tech was sent out to assess and re-clean. The tech was over an hour late after I asked if they could arrive early within the window of time. The tech quickly cleansed the carpet and left. Again, once the carpet dried, the same swirl makes reappeared. I phoned them again, and they scheduled another tech to come out. This tech comes and states the carpet fibers are damaged and there is nothing they can do. They have ruined my carpet. I am in the process of getting corporate involved. I will never hire them again!

    I had a great experience with them the first time when I had them take care of my tiles, and sealing them all throughout my house. They were very efficient for the amount of tile I have in my house, and they made sure I was satisfied with everything prior to leaving. One of them even gave me an extra bit of sealant just in case I needed to touch up something somewhere, which I never needed. They came back for a second time a year later, and again, all went well, without their needing to seal my grout. Again, done efficiently, and with high quality. I'm very pleased with them here in Fort Myers, and would highly recommend this company.

    My husband wanted Stanley Steemer to clean out ducts in our home and I asked for my carpets to be cleaned. They came, left my home in a mess. The stuff that came out of the ductwork was left on my furniture and floors. I sent them an email. They came back and basically told me the carpet was old, years of wear and tear, my granddaughter and my daughter had cleaned up the furniture mess so they did not have any of that to do but acted like they were dusting it up. I appreciate the fact they responded to the email quickly and sent them back out but I will not recommend them to anyone and for what I paid for the 2 services I’m not satisfied at all. I’m not asking for anything from them and alerting others beware of TV commercials that look real simple. Great marketing.

    Stanley Steemer was supposed to come on Tuesday. Never showed. I called and they said oops and gave me a $15 discount and scheduled another appointment for me on Wednesday. They spent MAX 5 minutes on the first dining room chair and said the water stains wouldn't come out. He said he put all 3 of their cleaners on the chair. So, obvy, their cleaners suck. Also, the lady on the phone who booked the appt said that their vacuum has enough suction power to lift an 8lb bowling ball. Fibber! The suction power of their machine wasn't much more than my little Bissell spot cleaner.

    They were here, at max, 20 minutes to clean 4 dining room chairs, seats and backs. One of the backs was only half wet. The chairs looked exactly the same, but wet. I went outside as they were packing up, and one of the guys was whining about how I was unhappy with their poor job. I used my little Bissell after they left and got out a good amount of soapy water. I didn't pay them, and even that cost too much. I'm not sure what their success rate is, but whatever it is, it's totally by chance. They obvy can't handle real dirt. Don't take a risk, go somewhere else!

    Sure wish I remembered his name! He cleaned the stairs in all of what seemed like ten minutes. I asked him to go over it again. That took maybe seven minutes. The carpet was statuettes with so much water that it took just about all week to dry. I expressed my concerns about the carpet having been really thick. Asked him to take extra care with cleaning so that the surface of the carpet would not appear clean to the eye yet still dirty beneath the surface. Upon drying days later I could noticeably see soil lifted from carpet in some areas except the left margin of the stairs. I asked them to return and they did two weeks later.

    A new guy named Benjamin showed up and told me that the carpet was lighter in areas not because it has been cleaned or that soils had been lifted but because the carpet was damaged. When I asked him how he could derive that a carpet once all the same tint three weeks ago, would now appear lighter after one cleaning in some areas and not others, as damaged he replied that he has been doing this for 16 years and is the best in the businesses. He further told me the carpet will look exactly the same as it does now when he is done. I told him the carpet didn’t look the same since the first guy came to cleaned the carpet! I told him that I would be getting his headquarters on the phone to hear his expertise before he began cleaning the carpet. I told him maybe he was not the man for the job. He walked out.

    First of all I can guarantee you he would not have spoken as he did to me to to a man. He would not have! I can’t even. My intelligence wouldn’t have me insulted! He escaped the job and he also escaped having to face the call the headquarters. If anyone else shows up here to tell me that a carpet that is now visibly cleaner in some areas because it is damaged, I should be refunded. That sounds like a scam. It isn’t right. I will find every forum I can to post this to so this can stop. I wish I could post a picture of what he called a damaged carpet!!!! It is simply not… He was also suppose to be here from 2-5pm and showed up, per his notice, after 5. He clearly was ready to go home and have dinner.

    I've used Stanley Steemer to clean my carpets in the past, and my experience was so-so, but the quality of the company has fallen a lot and I would recommend you stay away from them. They drag around a huge, heavy, long hose that does damage to your door jambs and baseboards. A second person could help to avoid this damage, but they only send one person. The tip off is that there is white paint all along the length of the hose that clues you into the damage they do in stripping paint off of people's homes. The only reason I have had OK results with them in the past is that I follow the cleaner around and make sure the hose does not do damage. This time the cleaner went way too fast, he missed corners and stair edges, he was not getting my carpets clean, and he left the carpets very wet due to his pace.

    I asked him to do a better job and he ignored me. He was just trying to get in and out for his own sake to rip me off. It was so bad I refused to pay him, I called the company, and they sent out another cleaner. The second person showed up without notice, and he did a more thorough job, but he also was clumsy and nearly knocked a nice painting off my wall that I saved from falling. I gave this review in another forum, and Stanley Steemer left one of those phony responses poor quality companies leave to pretend they want to work out the problems they caused, and sure enough, someone called me left a message, I called back twice in two days, and she never called back! Please avoid Stanley Steemer. It's a sad, unprofessional place.

    If I could give 0 stars I would. I hired Stanley Steemer to clean my hardwood floors and kitchen tile and my floors looked the same after they left. They came again and sent someone out to verify the floors and the guy that came out also agreed my floors looked a mess. The manager in the Alexandria store threaten to take me to collection for refusing to pay because I wasn’t satisfied with the service. If your own Technician standing at my home verified the floors was not cleaned properly, how can you asked me for payment. Please don’t hire Stanley Steemer. They are in my opinion a rip-off company who have inexperienced workers.

    These guys absolutely destroyed our ducts and vents. Without permission, they cut a huge hole in the duct, left it taped when they finished the jobs and now the entire thing is blowing air everywhere aside from the vents. It almost ruined my entire AC system. Do not deal with these amateurs.

    I have had three appointments to have area rugs cleaned in my home. Technicians arrived and claimed they couldn’t park close enough and left. I’ve been told by one they have a portable cleaning device but it doesn’t work. The dispatcher knew in advance that I live in center city Phila. If they cannot work in a city they should not schedule jobs there.

    These friendly and polite young workers with very little experience seem reliable, but neither they nor their management will own their failings & cover-ups when they know that they have stained and damaged your natural fibers upholstery & nylon carpet. Instead of being forthright & forthcoming, they immediately become unavailable via phone, then later lie to deny their own speedy workmanship with their own reckless use of Stanley chemicals and their own personal chemicals. Though, they remain friendly & polite, they speak only to reframe your complaint and accusation into what they claim it to be. And that's when they twist your words to document that you "...would do business with them again." And that's how they end their Steemer transaction with you.

    Even if you don't mind that your upholstery & carpet will not look much cleaner than before, you should proceed only with 100% supervision. Do make our mistake of leaving them alone to be their own best professionals. They are not professionals at all. In fact, a manager of Mundelein-Grayslake doesn't even know all workers on their service "teams." Do not leave these workers alone in a room to repeat their well-practiced Damage & Denial routines. They believe that you proceed at your own risk. And you should believe that, too.

    They came out t clean my Dryer Vent & Vents and they pulled the paint off the wall when they removed the vent in my house. Just paid $6000 to paint my house.     We suspected that the ducts in a recently purchased older home were in great need of cleaning, so we had Stanley Steemer come out. We had an immediate bad experience in that they left, failing to adequately reconnect the water line to the humidifier, and we had water all over the basement. Later we still noticed what seemed like too much dust collecting on surfaces in the house. I decided to take apart a section of the ductwork to see how clean it was. I was appalled at the amount of dust and debris in the ductwork. It seemed like nothing had been done at all. We contacted Stanley Steemer and sent them pictures of the debris, but they refused to stand behind their work. Needless to say, I would not recommend anyone use them for this service.

    I had Stanley Steemer to clean 10 cushions on outdoor furniture. After it dried there were still many spots and water marks. I called the local number for Deer Park, NY where the customer service rep was attentive and promised the Manager (John) would return my call. It has been a week. I called 2 more times, needless to say John never returned my calls, but I was able to get most of the spots out with Resolve. What a total waste of money. I suspect the manager runs a shoddy business!

    Stanley Steamer engages in a deceptive business practice that I find deplorable and feel like people should know about BEFORE making arrangements for cleaning, rather than at the time of service as I did. I was quoted a price to clean an upholstered loveseat and two chairs. Upon arrival, the technician informed me that I needed to spend an extra $100 for an enzyme treatment, or the furniture would grow bacteria and smell like mold/mildew after the treatment.

    When I suggested this was a poor way to do business, he defended it by saying he would provide the cleaning at the agreed-upon price, but was just warning me about the mold/mildew outcome. It was my choice whether to purchase the enzyme treatment necessary to prevent this from happening. In other words, I had the choice of spending the extra $100, or having furniture that smelled like mold and mildew. I showed him the door. I don’t do business with people who try to take advantage of me, and an established company like Stanley Steamer should be ashamed of this practice. Be warned.

    Terrible. Experience. We learned today that one hallway counts in fact as two hallways and one set of stairs counts as two sets of stairs. Believe me. Just because the stairs from living to basement (14 steps in total) are not curved (that is, there's a landing between them), they count it as two staircases. After many years with OxiFresh, I regret having ever changed (mainly because their lack of availability). Scammers. The web site doesn't explicitly tell you any of their constraints, I am guessing it's all in the fine print, hidden behind their "Terms and Conditions" link, which I haven't read. Probably my fault. Also it's the FIRST TIME EVER, that a carpet cleaning company has ever told me that my basement counts as two rooms. EVER. Scammers.

    I had Stanley Steemer return today to touch up a couple of spots that I felt were not cleaned well on their first visit. Today's tech educated me that lighter color carpeting is more difficult to get clean. Although all the other carpet is the same color all stains were removed on the first visit. He pretreated the two areas and waited a few minutes before cleaning the carpet. I am somewhat pleased with the results.

    I'm very disappointed by your services from the Stanley Steemer at the St Joseph MI location. Back in November, they did a horrible job cleaning my carpets, 5 locations done in 30 min. (2 rooms, 1 large loft, 1 hallway, 1 staircase) The carpets smelled horrible after they left. I called and voiced my concerns, they said they would send them back out to redo everything. I scheduled with them the next day, they never showed. I called and complained, I was told they were running 2 hours behind and they could come the next day from 1-5, so I agreed.

    The next day I received a call 20 min before 5pm stating they wouldn't make it for another 2 hours and wanted to know if they should still come by. I told them know I have a previous scheduled engagement and that I would call their office. I called the office and asked to speak with the manager, I was told he was out sick. I explained what had happened and wanted to speak with someone in management about it, the lady told me she would have the manager call me the next week. No one every called me back. I called a couple more times and was blown off.

    I went out and bought a carpet cleaning machine and was appalled from the dirt that came out of the carpets, after being professionally cleaned by Stanley Steemer. At that point I disputed the charge on my credit card. Weeks later I started receiving calls from someone named Mike at the St Joseph's office to see if they could rectify the situation. I would not allow them back into my home and would never recommend Stanley Steemer to anyone. This was an awful experience, and I would think Stanley Steemer would refund my money, especially since they dropped the ball and did not care until I disputed the charges. I have not put any bad comments out there for the public to see, but this will change now. I hope they are happy now, since the credit card company took their side and canceled my dispute.

    We have used Stanley Steemer for many years, and used to be satisfied with their work. But their employees seem to no longer take pride in their work. We scheduled them again last week--but unfortunately, we were not able to stand over them & watch the entire process -- which shouldn't have been necessary, & they wouldn't have liked that anyway. We trusted them to do what they came to do. However, soon after they left, I noticed that the carpet at the main entrance to the dining room looked no different than it did before!

    I saw at least 6 or 7 small spots untouched -- plus that area just generally looked just as "soiled" as it had, since it is the most-used area that they were to clean. IF they did run the machine over that area, they couldn't possibly have used any cleaning chemical on it. So I spent a half-hour with a can of Chem-Dry, a brush, a bowl of water--and a lot of "elbow-grease" -- & got that area (about 5 square feet) looking somewhat like it should have when they left. All the spots were re-movable with Chem-Dry & a brush, & I did improve the general "soiled" look with 3 separate vigorous cleanings by hand--but my 3rd bowl of clean rinse--water was still dirty after that 3rd round!

    The other entrance to the dining room also still had a "dull" (soiled) look to it, making a fairly new gray carpet look rather beige. So I saw no evidence that they used anything but plain water anywhere. There were a couple of places where we could tell that they had indeed run the machine across (water streaks), but obviously not with the intention of actually cleaning anything. There is no excuse for this, & we will not be using them again. We had a similar experience a couple of years ago, & that time we did ask them to come back to do that area "again"--which they did. But this is no longer a good company. They don't care whether they clean anything, & can't be trusted to do it.

Have left several messages with their corporate office to call me about the unprofessional displayed by the local sales manager when I called to inform him of this.     I contacted Stanley Steemer in Orlando, FL. to clean an area rug in my parents’ house. I went with Stanley Steemer thinking that a national company would be trust worthy and reputable. My parents are older and have in-home care so a brand name seemed like the way to go. I was given a quote on-line based on the size rug (8 x 10) and services (clean and deodorize). I was called to confirm the appointment and I thought I had told them to contact me with any changes but Stanley Steemer (they claim to have reviewed the call and said I didn't say this, maybe I didn't) didn't call me. The technicians say they measured the rug and that it was larger than what I had stated on-line. They also said that it need protector. The rug is very old and there was no need to add protector which was why I did not included it in the o-line quote. My dad agreed to the service and the technicians charged for it. I have to assume that they actually did it but I have no way of knowing.

    The total amount for the service was 1 and a 1/2 time more than the amount I was quoted on-line (it was also more than the value of the rug). By the time I found out about this the technicians had completed the service and left. I called Stanley Steemer thinking they that we could come to a amicable solution. I was told the area manager would get back to me by the end of the day. This did not happen. I called back the next morning and was told he was in the field. I said I would expect a call back within an hour. This did not happen.

    When the area manager did call me back he was very firm in his position that his technicians were in the right and that this was the end of it. I was very angry and upset at the position he took. What it boiled down to for me was this, Stanley Steemer upsold my elderly parents on a service that was clearly not needed. They would not remove the charge from the bill and that is where it ended. I do not usually write reviews but the way the company treated old people was too much for me. I would not only not recommend Stanley Steemer, I would pay more to go to another company. I have already been told by the Orlando office that they will respond to my review and I encourage it. I would also encourage anyone who is considering using this company to think twice.     I scheduled a cleaning for two upholstered chairs, an ottoman and a rug. The chairs were not cleaned. There was hair and debris under the chair pads. The entire room had water on the floor. The techs left dirty water in the toilet. A piece of wood was knocked off of a cabinet. I reached out and after several attempts to get return calls, I was able to reschedule the cleaning for a day that I had taken off from work. I was told that the cleaners would arrive between 8 and 12. At 8:38 I got a call saying that there was a shortage in cleaners and I would need to reschedule. I will find a more competent and reliable company to clean my furniture and rugs. Very poor service.

    I recently requested a cleaning for a sectional and carpet. I specifically told the agent I wanted the same service I had in January. She was very polite and I was quoted a price of 138 after discount. I requested a morning window, but they gave me an afternoon window from 12-5. The technicians show up at 5:32. They quoted me a price of 238. I told them I was already quoted a price of 138 after discount. They said, sorry. I cancelled the service. I called and spoke with the supervisor (Rex) who acknowledged a mistake was made by the representative. He would relay my concerns to the local office.. A whole day wasted. I (was) a repeat customer.     Updated on 07/31/2021: In June 2021 hired Stanley Steemer, Kalamazoo, MI Franchise; duct cleaning. Major issues. Proposed resolution was inadequate and response was condescending, boilerplate. Even wrote President of Corporation, still waiting. Their corporate website states, "Trying to cause the least amount of problems to customers." Does unresponsiveness promote that statement? In my opinion a declaration of "I'm sorry you're unsatified with our proposed solution" is unresponsive to a complaint. A customer complains because there is a problem and the customer is asking for a quick and equitable resolution. Problems occur and how a company reacts to resolve those problems are, as if not more, reveling to how they value their customer base. How they choose to conduct their business.

    Is a business only concerned about that first fast buck regardless of how their processes fail to back up that revenue? Or do they grow with each complaint and promote better standards and quality of service? A quick, equitable response to each problem expresses that a company cares and values the customer relationship AND the quality of service they promote. The company should go above and beyond to quickly, equitably resolve that complaint when real issues present themselves in that cutomer service relationship.

    It's often said, "Complaints should be viewed as compliments." It's a tool to improve and develop strong customer base, return customers. Innovation, new processes, better Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) standards all can improve with each successful complaint resolution. Customer complaints that are handled quickly can even turn into loyal customers and strong brand advocates.

    Customers are not seasoned negotiators. They can be emotional, angry and stubborn. How companies respond to each customer complaint determines how willing they are to resolve the that specific problem and retain that customer. Some problems caused by companies require more equitable solutions. Is the company willing to exceed expectations? Are they willing to deliver a better quality of customer service in their complaint resolution toolbox? In my experience with Stanley Steemer... I'm still waiting.

    Original Review: Met with salesman who described process. Techs cut a hole in furnace, to catch debris in ducts. Then remove vent covers in each room insert blow tube with a whirly whip that will loosen and blow debris down to furnace where it will be caught and removed. Techs are highly skilled and trained, no worries. Your 777 sq ft house with easy access to vent covers will be done in an hour to one and 1/2.

    Not what happened. Highly skilled tech chose to stay in the basement and drilled over 20 holes in my duct system. It seems they decided to drill a hole about at every corner, bend and/or every 2ft. One hole they forgot to plug and it took them 2 hours to vandalize my duct system. Met with salesman to discuss how Stanley Steemer was going to work with me to equitably resolve issue. Still waiting. Oh I forgot to mention the coating of dust and debris they left all over the basement: floor, sewing machine, ironing board, toys etc. You tell me, is this how you want to spend $400?

    This was the worst service I have ever come across. Not only was my order incomplete, but they took my rug outside to clean, with instructions to keep rolled up for 24 hours. After speaking with 3 customer service reps, I was told to unroll it to dry. My wool rug was soaked, covered in dirt, leaves and mulch. A manager callback takes 48 hours, and no service technicians were available to tell me how to dry it in the mean time. I would not recommend this company for insufficient service, management and lack of knowledge staff/representatives.

    We are preparing to sell a home in Fairmont WV; we hired SS out of Buckhannon WV. Although we have our own Bissel Carpet Cleaner; we were consumed with last minute activities to prep the house for sale and THOUGHT SS could perform a service for us. The men were prompt in their arrival, very courteous, and professional. The house was totally empty, i.e., no furniture was in any of the 8 rooms. We pointed out 5 specific areas that needed extra cleaning; a service their manager said could be provided.

    The result is like they were never in the house. Home security cameras showed they wand sprayed the carpet; but never any special treatment to the areas we pointed out. Bottom-line, we are going back over the 5 areas (and eventually the entire 2,500 square foot house). After a few passes over the 5 areas we specifically asked for special treatment, we have removed several gallons of black, dirty water (we have videos to show the areas before and after we personally treated the carpet).

    Our cost to SS was $350 plus a nice tip. Our cost to personally repeat the process is less than $15 of Bissel Deep Cleaning solution and a few hours of our personal labor. SS offered to send someone back to address the initial cleaning; we simply elected not to have them waste our time. Not sure if it is the equipment, the chemicals, or technique, but I would NEVER recommend SS!

    We were quoted $243.06 for two rooms, one living room, and two sets of staircases. When the crew came, they charged us $331.64 for additional steps on the staircases (which we didn't have) and for getting rid of the odor (which I clearly refused services twice over the phone), which is 36% more than the quote. The company was super friendly when giving us the initial quote over the phone but it turns out to be such a rip-off. Tried to call back and the customer representative transferred me back and forth without being able to speak with anyone. Eventually, I got to talk with a manager. He was super rude over the phone and refused a refund for the difference and even threatened to send us to collection after I said I would dispute with the credit card company. We should have gone with another company. Will never ever use again.

She decline. I even offer to pay for the test and she still decline. Never will I used them again. I'm really applause by the help I'm getting from the owner.     I had a guest bathroom fully remodeled in February 2021. Because a large amount of tile was removed, there was a dusting on every ledge, shelf, piece of furniture in the house, as well as the floors. I called Stanley Steemer of Naples, FL because I thought steam & water would be the safest, most effective way to clean the floors throughout the house. I made a huge mistake. Before the appointment, I explained to their rep that I didn’t have a single rug or room with carpet that needed to be cleaned. Regardless, he scheduled the job without hesitation and 2 technicians came the very next day. I paid Stanley Steemer over $700 and their machines literally pulled the grout out of my floors and left scratches all over the new tiles, which had cost thousands of dollars.

    2 of the 3 bedrooms had the flooring installed last November. The guest bathroom flooring was completed the week before the Stanley Steemer cleaning appointment. They were well aware of all of this, but proceeded anyway. The toilet was installed in the new guest bathroom the evening before Stanley Steemer came the next morning. The toilet had never even been used before and one of the technicians used it without asking for permission, which I understand is company policy. He did not flush his ** and left the seat up for me to discover after he left. That’s when I noticed all of the grout missing in the flooring and the scratches all over the tiles. I immediately left a review on their website.

    A rep called and offered a 10% discount of $78. I told him that was not adequate and made multiple requests that a Stanley Steemer representative come see the damage for themselves. They refused, but did offer a discount of $100, which they have since rescinded. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. There are far superior cleaning service companies that have integrity. If Stanley Steemer had any integrity, they would have declined the job. Clearly, their machines are meant for carpet, not brand new porcelain tile flooring with grout. Shame on them for being greedy and taking a job they knowingly were not professionally qualified to do. Choose a company that values you, as their customer and the opportunity to do quality work. Do not choose Stanley Steemer.

    I had an area cleaned it was picked up Dec. 9 2020 and delivered back Dec. 23, all the servicemen wore masks, but it would be appropriate for them to introduce themselves by name, not all did! (Especially since their faces are only partially visible behind the masks). I have used Stanley Steemer multiple times before and was happy with their services, but this time extremely disappointed, the carpet was poorly cleaned and there was hardly an improvement, they agreed to clean it a second time.

    At this time it is still with them, I did not receive a date when it will be re-delivered back. Last but not least, when driving off, the driver drove at least 3 car length over the lawn area and sprinklers, even that there is a fully paved driveway. The Stanley Steemer webpage advertises cleaning for an area rug for $99, it ended up to cost $375. Your ad is misleading and for that kind of money I expected more and I am extremely disappointed in Stanley Steemer and not sure I will use them again. Samantha I spoke to was very helpful.

    We wanted our living room carpet, as well as a small hallway, cleaned. The techs were done within 10 minutes time - it takes me longer than that to simply vacuum the area. There is absolutely no difference in the carpet after the "cleaning." You can't clean a good-sized room in that little time and with that little effort. The pre-spray solution wasn't even given time to work. Waste of $150 plus the cost of our water. Never again!

    We had Stanley Steemers come to clean our carpets and deep clean our tile throughout our whole house. They have ruined our tile, leaving several white lines, chunks of grout taken out and our kitchen cabinets have gouges in the moldings. They sent out another crew to look at the the floors, they took several photos as that crew could not believe how bad the floors were. Long story short, we are unable to get ahold of anyone from the franchise as they never return our calls. Spoke with corporate several times with absolutely NO resolution. They did charge us for a sealant that was never provided, all we are asking for is our money back. It has been about 3 months with still no response and a total runaround from corporate.     The technicians who came to do my service told me I didn't need it but I needed something else more expensive. They left 10 minutes later and I complained to the manager and he said they would send another crew and would get the work done for me that I wanted. Today the scheduled appointment was between 8-1, at 2:00 I had not received a call and no technician arrived. I phoned the office to confirm someone was going to come, was placed on hold for 20 minutes when the representative returned to say someone would been there when the home they were working on was finished. I inquired how much longer, as they are already one hour behind the scheduled time. She says casually between 3:00-4:00. TERRIBLE customer service. I requested to reschedule. She tells me 5 days later, the following Tuesday. I declined if you have any other option. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.

    Updated on 07/21/2020: I have a review out here already on this company so this is not to be redundant however it is to warn readers that are seriously writing reviews. Regarding Stanley Steemer ruining our front door stoop, suggesting that our home was old and in disrepair, sharing this information personal friends, and being total idiots AFTER a sale, that corporate does not have any power over their franchises. They don't back up a faulty service area like Green Bay, nor do they have power to intercept potentially damaging reviews.

    What corporate does do, is respond to these reviews with a promise that the issue will be looked into, issue a ticket number, and try to appease the readers that this is indeed a company that stands behind their work, or lack of. It's all a joke. I was convinced that Stanley Steemer in Green Bay would take the hit for this terrible job, but after speaking with corporate, who hung up on me, they do nothing. Nothing. If you are looking for Stanley Steemer to service a home that is older or historic, don't do it. It's a risk and you will be stuck with an extra bill for their damages to your old home.

    Original Review: The tech was in a hurry. He left the carpets less than clean and very wet. He also damaged our front stoop in his haste and left a burn ring on our front lawn. Stanley Steemer, De Pere will not make good on the damages. They said our home is old and not well maintained. Our home is immaculate! So is the lawn that their equipment burned. They offered a cheesy $25 off which is what they give anyone online. They are no longer interested in valued customers, just sales. Don’t waste your time with this company.

    I have used Stanley Steemer in the past and was happy with the results. The last time they came and did the carpet they did a terrible job. You can still see the stains around all the furniture as if they were shadows. Many spots still there, and they are not unusual spots just regular walking on the carpet spots.     I ordered carpet cleaning services from the Boca Raton/Delray location. The carpet was cleaned and looks good. No issues there. The problem is with pricing. I prepaid and pre-arranged for standard carpet cleaning. Stanley Steemer uses suggestive, and add-on selling strategies. IF your standard cleaning services are not sufficient, then don't offer them. That's false advertising. Charging the customer 1/3 more is not acceptable. Note - I did not order this online. I ordered directly from a person in the local Boca Raton/Delray office. Never again.

    Our rugs were picked up for off-site cleaning on April 4. We were told by the rep that we would have a turnaround time of 7-10 days, but 2 weeks max. We called every few days from that 10-day timeframe on, with no luck and no assistance about where our rugs were or when they'd be dropped off. We contacted them for the 5th time yesterday (May 12) and finally got an answer that they could MAYBE schedule drop-off this week. The reps I talked to were both inconsiderate of the the inconveniences and did not value me or my concerns about the length of time. WOULD NOT USE AGAIN. Use local cleaning companies instead - SS is too commercial and corporate to care.

    My rug, which still had urine stains on it, also was stretched out so bad it will no longer lie flat. They virtually ruined a $6500.00 rug. Not only that, the guy bringing it in pushed my front door open so hard it actually flipped my door table upside down and busted up my 2ft high mercury glass lamp. That in turn put gouges in my wood floor. He never offered to help, or apologize but did manage to lay out the rug ON TOP of pieces of glass that went all over the floor. I spent the next hour sweeping up tiny pieces of glass and moving the heavy rug he just set down on top of the glass. He never even apologized. I will never ever use SS again, and I would give them a minus star if I could. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

    Set an appointment to have carpet cleaned - they gave me a 4 hour window - 12 to 4. I sat waiting on them for 3.5 hours. At 3:30 I called to see what was going on. They stated they couldn't come until 5:30. I'd already pulled up the furniture and waited almost the length of the wait time. I honestly didn't believe them when they stated that the job before mine took them longer than they thought. What REALLY bothered me was no communication until "I" called. This is just bad BAD service. This was the first time I had ever tried to use Stanley Steemer and it will be the last - they totally wasted most of my day. Luckily, I found another company 2 days later (while the furniture was still up) to come and clean the carpet. I thought Stanley Steemer was a reputable company - lousy customer service to say the least!

    Recently booked Stanley Steemer to come in and clean all our floors in preparation for a new baby. When the crew showed up they talked to me about the quote I got online, told me about some additional services and gave me a new quote. We agreed on a price and I left for 2 hours to let them do their thing. When I returned to the house, the price he had given me RIGHT before I left, had now gone up and the technician couldn't explain why, he just told me it was a "mistake by the office".

    Once they left I gave a closer inspection to their work, and it was not good. There were spots that they clearly missed on a basic hardwood floor. I booked Stanley Steemer for a professional clean, and the results look like something I could have achieved with a Swiffer and a vacuum. The regional manager called me to smooth things over, but the best he could do was offer to send them back to clean again. No thanks. The work was poor quality, and the techs either don't understand the pricing, or are pulling shady practices to scam customers, either way it is unacceptable. I would under no circumstances use Stanley Steemer for any future services.

    I called this company to request Air Duct and basement cleaning. Problem #1: They spelled my name wrong when creating the ticket, even after I took the time to spell it out slowly. Problem #2: The location I called was the one that was closest to me geographically, but they routed my call to a location that was much further away. On top of this, they admitted there were two jobs before mine that were also very far away. Logically this means I know it would be a while before they would get here.

    Problem #3: They assigned the duct cleaning and basement cleaning to two separate teams. I don't understand why the same team couldn't do both jobs, but I left this to them, since they're the experts. Problem #4: After confirming Team 1 was coming 8am-1pm and Team 2 was coming 12-5pm, they assigned Team 1 to come 1-5 and didn't tell me this until after I waited several hours to find they never showed. This also did not work for my schedule, plus I did not want to have to oversee the work of two teams coming at the same time to my house. So... I just canceled everything and decided I would go back to my original plan: call a small, local family-owned business, who will probably do a much better job for the same price.

    Despite the human errors in misspelling my name and scheduling the wrong time slot - the people on the phone were friendly. My complaint is about the process, not the people. It needs to be updated to reflect more accurate matching of residences to the closest location, AND the consumer should have the ability to choose which location services them.

    I live in St. Clair County in southern IL (Belleville, IL) and Sue and Phil Dean who owns Stanley Steemer at 2205 Forte CT, Maryland Heights, Mo 63043 sent 2 male technicians to my house in late October 2019 to clean my carpet. When the technicians left my house my sapphire/gold/diamond ring was missing from the usual place that I always place it. I made sure that I stayed in each room with the technicians as each room was cleaned. Only once was one of the technicians left alone... when he asked to used the bathroom. He was also extremely interested in many of the items in my house as he made comments about certain ones, touched them, and stared at them. I contacted the St. Clair County Sheriff Dept and made report and complaint. Throughout this ordeal **, the plants operator was not only rude and unprofessional but attempted to defend 1 on the technicians. She said that she would return calls but did not.

    Once I called and reminded her that she said that she would call and she told be that she had to go to the neuro-surgeon. This young man, ** was arrested after other customers experienced their property missing in other counties in IL, and after my report. So far this technician has been jailed in two different jurisdictions. This Stanley Steemer location has refused to compensate me 100% for all costs concerning this theft. I have reported this theft and complaint to: BBB's, Attorney General Offices', Chamber of Commerce, Stanley Steemer Corporate office, and more. I'm still waiting to receive responses from some of these offices. Attention: warning: caution: please be careful and watchful when you invite Stanley Steemer into your home. My ring still has not been recovered and returned.

    When my carpet was cleaned (Nov/Dec) they were running a four times a year special for two rooms. When it was time for the first cleaning, I asked to substitute a room because I didn't need anything done to the rooms selected. They refused to do this. I don't understand because all they had to do was two spots in the one room. I am spending money for nothing...so please do not sign up for the special as you will not need it as often as you think you will and they will not allow substitutions. Poor business dealings...

    This company promised clean tiles. When they came out - they upcharged me an additional 140 dollars and the service was never done. The assistant was on drugs and the man cleaning the floors stated I would see a difference. I did a before and after picture and the floors stayed the same. I advise them to come back and clean the property. They're advising me that the place has to be recleaned... Sounds like this company doesn't do much and charges a lot.. A quick heads up, Home Depot charges 60 dollars for the same machine and 20 dollars for product. Never will I pay 700 dollars to clean a whole property and be insulted and cussed by Mike ** the manager in Orlando! 0 respect in this company, customers don't fall for it!

    We had a two hour window for an appointment, even though I was told I was first on the list for the day. They were suppose to call thirty minutes before coming. They never called and never showed up. There was also not available to answer the cell phone number they have or an the iMessage. I wondered why they were cheaper than others, now I know. That’s horrible customer service!! I made myself available, moved all the furniture and cleaned all my other floors. All of that work for nothing. I will never call them again.

    Had Stanley Steemer come to my my condo to clean the air ducts. The Tech broke my dryer vent hose, put the air ducts back on lopsided in my bathroom and broke my air duct fan in the bathroom. Next day I realized my bathroom fan was broken and called the office. They scheduled a Tech to come back over to fix it and never showed up. I called the office and the receptionist said a Tech would call me. He never called. I called the office to ask why and I was disconnected. No one answered the phone. I would not use this company!!!! They are a horrible company with untrained Techs.

    Took 9/10 visits to clean a spot on a small piece of carpet. Technicians did not know what they were doing and turned a simple job into a bigger job by using the wrong method to clean the spot. There was only one tech who knew what he was doing, but despite my requests for him to come and repair, he didn’t come until the last visit. Finally, the carpet is cleaned but I will NEVER use Stanley Steemer again, and will do my best to let family and friends know about my dismal experience. The Stanley Steemer store that did this job is located in Machesney Park, Il.

    The two gentlemen who came to my home to clean my carpets were very professional, friendly, and courteous. I was rather impressed when they left, however, after my carpets completely dried, I am still able to see the marks/stains that were there before they cleaned/treated. When I received my final bill, it was much more than I was expecting. I paid for a “deodorizer” for my bedroom carpet, however, I did not smell any difference. I also purchased the Stanley Steemer Spot Remover for $20 but it has not made more of a difference than a $5 spot remover.

    Last year Stanley Steemer in Pottstown PA cleaned my newly installed Living Room Carpet. I have used Stanley for many years and never ever had an issue. Unfortunately, once the carpet was completely dry, it was apparent that there were several (12 or more) spots where the color was removed. These were the spots that the technician sprayed (pretreated). The carpet looked as though it had bleached spots at every presprayed spot. I called the next day and Stanley returned to evaluate the carpet and offered to reclean it. Of course it didn’t solve the problem. I called several times and was told it was not something they were responsible for. They have continued to insist that I somehow caused this damage.

    I have a professional cleaning service who has stated that the carpet was not damaged prior to their cleaning. I have submitted photos. I have made several attempts to reach them for some response. I have not heard from Stanley. At this point I have contacted the BBB. This is a first for me. I am very sad that they will not work with me in any way to resolve the mess. Things happen. I’d hoped that they would assume some ownership.

    Well, let me tell you, the tech, Edward, was absolutely FANTASTIC. He was professional, very courteous, he said he'd be here by 830am and he was. Edward came into my home very friendly and informative, explained the process and expectations. He asked questions about the spills and stains. So Edward went to work on my nasty carpet. Two hours later, he was done. My home smells a whole lot better and my carpet came out ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I also had a chair that was BADLY stained. Really didn't think he could do much for it, but... Edward worked his magic and my chair looks FANTASTIC. I will definitely call Stanley Steemer and have Edward (only Edward) come back for spring cleaning of my carpet and upholstery.

    I received a coupon via USPS mail inside of a "Value Pack" advertising envelope which includes a variety of advertisers. This particular coupon was for 4 rooms to be cleaned for $99. I called their phone number, made an appointment. They came out and two things happened: They cleaned the carpet in two (2) bedrooms... They cleaned the hallway (which I was aware was considered as a room) and my fourth (4th) room was the bathroom. Inside the bathroom, there was a toilet closet which was approximately 3' x 3.'

    They took their equipment out to their truck and presented me with their bill and I was preparing to pay as I had expected to do. First, they would not accept their coupon for four rooms for $99. It was right there!!!! They said it was not valid in the Tulsa, OK area!!! It came in our Tulsa, Oklahoma mail!!!! PLUS... they charged the 3' x 3' toilet closet as a fifth (5th) room!!!!

    I was livid. Stanley Steemer 800 corporate office was unable to get me in touch with anyone who knew anything about their Value Pack advertising coupons! I called again to get a quote, asking if the toilet closet is considered part of the bathroom or if it considered a separate room. The poor little agent had no clue and had obviously did not have that line included in the canned answers they were given. Needless to say, we have moved on to a more professional company who has policies in place that are provided to their customers.

    I scheduled to have 6 areas cleaned over a week ago. I received two email confirmations that showed Arrival 12:00 - 4:00. At 4:00 we had not heard anything from them so I called the local Pittsburgh number. I was told I was next on the schedule. Shortly after I received a call saying their guy would arrive at 4:40. This was a great inconvenience on us in that we wasted the entire afternoon waiting, postponing errands that we needed to complete. They are VERY UNRELIABLE and I doubt I would ever use them again. They appear to have no concern for their customer's time.

    We purchased our house in Mid September, it is all hardwood floors and tile, all of which were very clean. The prior owners had a house keeper house had been professionally cleaned prior to the sale. There are only two adults living here, and we don’t really wear our shoes in the house. We had started to notice that the grout in the rooms we use staring to darken due to use and With the holidays coming we decided we decided to have Stanley Steemer come out and clean and seal the grout. I should also note, we have a steemer mop and it does a good job on the tile, but not the grout.

    My wife called to ask questions and explained very specifically on the phone what we wanted, the number of bathrooms, floors, etc. the only real unknown in the equation is they would not give a quote on doing the shower as shower size can be different, but was later told it was a flat $125 for our small stand up shower. The price quote, less the shower, was for $409.00 under what we were told was a coupon price. This included a kitchen of bout 20’ x 25’, a mud room of 6’ x 7’, a half bath of 5’ x 6’, an entrance way of 7’ x 8’ and a master bath of 0’ x 12’. We had indicated a second full bath, but it never made it to the work order.

    When the tech arrived, there was a question of what was or was not on the work order, he didn’t have the second full bathroom nor did he have the shower stall. He looked the job over and now came back as $518.00. It was now our belief that this included the second full bath and the shower stall. The work started, and during the work, while they were working on the first area, I told them that I did not want to add the second full bath as it was still in great shape.

    During the cleaning, I was asked to look at the shower stall as they couldn’t get the grout down at the seam where the wall met the floor. I was told it was because the chalking might come out, I knew there was no chalking there as I use to install floors. I asked them to try again which they did and it helped some. I really suspect was the man was too large to fit into the stall to get that low and could only use the brush on the stick. When all was done, the job was less than what we expected. The tiles looked as clean as when I used the steam mop we have and the grout was only marginally better, but now “sealed.” The whole process took 1 hour and 20 min start to finish, and the cost was still $518.00.

    We called to complain stating that we didn’t feel that the job was as advertised and asked if a supervisor would come take a look. Over an hour later and lots of back and forth, we settled to allow them to return with the same crew and a supervisor, whom wouldn’t come out to look when it all started, to try to remedy the problem. No refund was possible all they would do is try to fix it. Corporate was also spoken too separately, another half hour of time, and we were told, they have no control as each operation is locally owned and operated.. We did stress that the crew seemed like nice guys, they were friendly and personable and in fact brothers.

    When the crew returned, they come in wanting to know were the problems were, and were not as personable this time. We had started to show them the examples of how the grout was still dirty and they immediately told us you would never get it back to what it was. Again, this was only two months time, so none of this made sense. The supervisor arrived shortly thereafter and we went through the whole story again. My wife noticed that this time, the men were wearing shoe covers and commented that they had not lost time. They immediately became defensive eland said that they had, in spite of their shoe trend prints on the hardwood floor still visible. We had them on our security cameras clearly not wearing any.

    The supervisor tried a few test spots, thought they could have done better and redid the work himself. It did come out better then before, but still not 100% what we had expected based on what had been advertised. They used the clear the first time, and we expressed concern that if it was now sealed, the dirt would be trapped, but were told that it didn’t really work like that. We were also told that the color seal would return the grout to new appearance, but it was an investment as it was going to double the cost of what we had already paid. By the way both the color and clear seals only last about a year.

    I also wanted to point out that when I tried the online quote, I got a third price. When we discussed the pricing issue with the supervisor he basically could not give us a satisfactory answer as to why it was so different other than saying it is hard to tell based on the variables. After seven hours of time, we are waiting to hear back from the franchise owner as to any price adjustment for wasted time, but I don’t think this is worth your money..

    I had a coupon (3 rooms for $129, so I called to be told that coupon was no longer any good. Later in the day, a coupon arrived in my mailbox (3 rooms for $129). This one had a clear expiration date on it, a good month in the future - -so I called again. Once more I was told the coupon had expired, and I was quoted a higher price. When I pointed out the ad had just arrived today and did not expire for another month, the manager was called in. He would agree to honor the coupon, and I set an appointment, but then I was told that no furniture would be moved; they would "go around it." What good will that do if you want your carpet cleaned professionally and better than you could do it? I can go around furniture -- and I do not have that much furniture to scoot over (a couch, 2 chairs, 1 table, 2 study chairs, a bed, and 2 bedside tables). Needless to say, I will find someone else. Sounded like they were setting up a half done job. I need my carpet cleaned well!

    We were quoted 324.00 to steam clean 3 area rugs, a stairwell and a couch online. We made the appt. When the techs arrived all that changed. The refigured price was 559.00. The inference in pricing difference was that we had made a mistake when ordering. That's not accurate. We were specific in what we wanted to be done. This is called bait and switch. A common occurrence in the in-home services industry. After complaining about it a "manager" showed up. Instead of doing the job for the quoted price he decided to give us a 100.00 gift certificate and some deodorizer (this after all the hype about pure steam cleaning). How cynical can you get. We will never use the gift certificate. Why in the world we want to go through that again. Don't get sucked in by Stanley Steemer.

    We scheduled Stanley Steemer to clean and color seal our grout. The girl I spoke with on the phone to scheduled asked if I wanted clear or color seal. She told me the service people will bring the color available with them. When their team showed up to do the work, they informed us they don’t color seal. We are livid!! They said they don’t even have the stuff on their truck to color seal. Then they suggested we call another company and have them clean the tile and then color seal it at the same time. So all week I have been looking forward to having this service done so we can move on with our remodeling projects but instead now we are pushed way back with our schedule and we are left VERY FRUSTRATED!!! I can not believe we were let down like that!!!! I highly would not recommend this company due to their misleading information.

    They totally missed an animal accident in one of the bedrooms in front of the piano, under the piano stool. Visual to anyone paying attention to detail. Will probably not hire Stanley Steemer again, they were in too much of a hurry to get to the next job. One area rug totally skimmed over ($80.00) looked as if it hadn't been cleaned at all. Too bad, they have good ads. Very unimpressed----Jerry **.
