    Did review previously, but wanted to add that I was very disappointed both times. Price was quite a bit more than estimate. We had kitchen tile cleaned and sealed as well as ducts cleaned. A little difference is understandable but the tile cleaning and sealing tripled. That's ridiculous. Wasn't aware of price variation between clear coat and color coat seal. It all should be explained when booking.

    I hired Stanley Steemer again because my previous experience with them was excellent. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disaster from the moment the technician arrived. There was a clear lack of communication and professionalism. Pricing was not explained clearly, and I felt nickel-and-dimed for services that should have been addressed upfront. What was discussed did not match what was delivered. The job felt rushed, incomplete, and careless.

    The technician left before the work was properly finished, and I was left with dirty areas that were supposed to be cleaned. The overall experience felt disorganized and half-done, which is unacceptable for a company that markets itself as professional and premium. It’s incredibly disappointing because I trusted the brand based on past service. After this experience, I will not be using Stanley Steemer again.

    Horrible service. They were in and out the door in about 20 minutes and were supposed to clean 4 bedroom carpets and an area rug. I had them redo a couple of areas which the technician was obviously not happy about. He commented that the spot I point out was in the carpet -- of course -- that's why I called to get the carpet cleaned!

    Long story short the carpets were absolutely sopped with water after they left -- I had first inspected with shoes on and when they left I stepped on the carpet with bare feet and very wet. I put down a towel in front of the computer and soaked up water and went through 2 towels and the carpet is still wet. I called the office and was told it normally takes 24 hours to dry. I insisted that they were very wet -- she started to argue so I simply told her I wouldn't do business with them again and hung up. Certainly not what their ads claim. As wet as these carpets are likely the carpets are going to take longer than 24 hours to dry -- we have overhead fans going to try to help dry them out. We might even have to have another company come out to clean the carpets correctly.

    My son, Todd **, scheduled Stanley Steemer, Reno, to clean and treat/remove pet stained areas in my small home in early January. The cleaner walked through the rooms (two bedrooms, hall and living room) indicating the areas that needed special pet urine treatment. The job took about an hour and the cleaner charged over $300! The carpets were soaking wet for over 48 hours, smelled horribly of urine and a sickly perfume odor. The smell was terrible and the pet urine was still there. Awful job! About 10 days later my son hired a different professional, recommended by the residential management company where he lives, to redo Stanley Steemer’s work. They did an excellent job! The urine and perfume odors are gone. Cost $150. Wonderful job! Stanley Steemer should refund the poor quality job in full.

    Waste of time and money. They clean my house 4 rooms, 2 living rooms, stairs and hallway. NO GOOD AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!! It’s not the technician’s fault that the conicals do not work.

    Today an Air Duct Estimator by the name of Shannon ** from Stanley Steemer came out to give me an estimate for cleaning my Air duct. I felt it necessary to write a review about this individual because he was topnotch! He arrived on time was respectful, polite, very knowledgeable about the services that would be provided. He also was considerate of my time and answered every question. If the services that I contracted to have done will be as top notch as this individual then I will use Stanley Steemer from now on. Customer service is at the top of my list when a service is being rendered.

    I came home to these guys in my assigned parking spot. They were cleaning a different condo but parked in my assigned parking spot. Assuming they are clueless and when confronted they just walked away.

    So, I wanted to add a follow-up review to the one that I posted a few days ago. I finally received my area rug yesterday. I have to say it was worth the wait. The area rug looks brand new and the service that I received was spectacular. Sean apologized profusely for the delay in getting the area rug back to me and he put area rug back where it belonged. Note to self-next time know that it is going to take a few weeks and maybe schedule in the Spring or Summer because they really did do a great job.

    I scheduled an area rug cleaning seven days before Thanksgiving. I was told by the service representative that the area rug would be cleaned and returned to my home on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I told him that if they couldn't get it back by Thanksgiving, that I would wait and have them pick up the area rug after Thanksgiving. He assured me that they would have it back to me before Thanksgiving. I received a text message on Tuesday before Thanksgiving stating that the area rug was not read and that they would be delivering the area rug the following Wednesday (12/03/25).

    I got up at 7 am to prepare for the delivery at 20 minutes before 8 am (delivery time). I received a text from the Customer Service representative stating that their crew was on the way. At 8am, I received another text from the crew stating that the area rug had not even been cleaned and it would be another week before it would be delivered. This was starting to be very confusing because the communications that I was receiving did not match so I called Customer Service and the person that I spoke to told me that it showed that the order was in process and would not be delivered.

    She did not offer to check to see what happened, nor did she provide a new delivery date. After speaking with her, I received a telephone call from a Sean who said that the rug was still at their warehouse but would however still be delivered today. I am still waiting. I would not recommend Stanley Steemer to anyone who needed an area rug cleaned. I had another area rug cleaned by another company. They picked it up on the said date and delivered it back the following week. I should have gone with that company and not Stanley Steemer.

    We scheduled a carpet cleaning for 3 rooms in our daughter's home in Clinton Twp., Mi for Nov. 19th. We had all the furniture picked up from the floors and room-ready for the cleaning. The cleaner came in, and we walked him through the rooms, indicating the areas we needed special attention to. We also paid the extra for room deodorizing. The first thing he had me do was hook up his hose to the house outside waterspout. He went through the rooms fast and the rugs looked ok. He said they should dry in 24 hours.

    This is what really happened. Three days later, the rugs were still wet. Then we could start to smell urine. Stains were starting to show up on the carpet. I used our Hoover steam cleaner over these carpets using hot water and the amount of dirt that came out was incredible. I went over and over certain areas and continuously dumping filthy water out. We had our daughter take photos of the water that we emptied from the machine. Stanley Steemer's web page states, "we pump hot water into your carpet...hot water extraction...dry in hours." NONE of that is true. We are adding the photos and putting this out on yelp. We are contacting Stanley Steemer and want to know how they plan on rectifying this terrible work.

    They changed the pricing and said it was because I called a call center. I left the table in my open concept space and so they said it was two room. They increased the price by $100 on arrival. When I called the customer service agent was rude and dismissive. In addition they arrived 2 hours later than the time window given.

    I want to take a moment to commend Anthony ** on the outstanding work he and his crew did in my condominium after we experienced significant water damage to our ceilings and walls in several areas of our unit. Anthony, the lead manager on the job, did an outstanding job directing his crew, communication with us, as the owners, throughout the mitigation process. He explained everything every step of the way outlining the complete water and mold mitigation process. While water damage to any home is disappointing and upsetting, Anthony lead us through the process and made us feel confident that the work was being done as expected in situations such as these. The cleanup was great too! Thank You Anthony!

    i am dissatisfied with the overall experience with Stanley Steemer duct cleaning. The technicians arrived on time and performed duct cleaning and cleanup in a timely manner. After cleaning, when testing the furnace system, it was discovered that the humidifier did not function. The entire furnace system including the humidifier had been checked and serviced two weeks prior to duct cleaning.

    As the system was not functioning completely, I did not want to authorize payment. I was told by 'management' that in order to have a HVAC technician come to check the system, I would have to authorize payment. I was unwilling to authorize payment unless I was sure the system would work properly and told them I would have no problem paying after the entire system was functioning properly and was told that I would have to make payment before the cleaning techs could leave (before verifying complete system operation). Payment was authorized AFTER receiving a call from HVAC company and making an appointment to check the humidifier. I am not happy with the procedure Stanley has for resolving an issue.

    Had the air duct cleaned about a month ago, I have been dusting my hardwood floors regularly since then and every time do it I get large amount of lint, my chair pads get filled with lint every time even after I cleaned them already. I thought that this is going to get better after a week or so but is not. Sent a few email with my concerns, so far nobody bother to follow up. I feel that I did not get the service that I paid for. I would not really recommend this company at all for this type of service.

    We could not even tell they had done anything to our floors. We have a 2200 square feet home and wanted all flooring cleaned and the ductwork cleaned, they were in and out in just a little over an hour. I was truly shocked when I saw my carpet looked terrible and nothing had been done around the baseboards. Terrible experience and I will never use them again.

    In August, I hire Stanley Steemer to clean the air-conditioning vents. They came and they said they connected an 8-inch hose to the return duck and they will each vent and blow air in the ducks. The 8-inch hose will be connected in a powerful vacuum and will suck all the dirt from all the ducts. So they started however, the 8-inch hose was connected to the duct that brings the cold air. I asked and they said that the cleaning can be done using either duct. They finish the job and left. After that, the house had a musty smell when the air conditioner was on. I called an air-conditioning company to come and service the air-conditioner. In the meantime, I changed the air filter twice, waiting a week.

    Attached is picture of the air-condition fan covered in full of dust. I called Stanley Steemer and complained. After a few calls, finally the supervisor called and he said he will sent two of his experienced workers to redo the work. Well they came and one of the experts was the guy who the job. So we went down and they checked the return duct and he said that the 8-inch hose connected on the return duct and called me that I am a liar. The other one said that they should redo the job. The guy who did the job told him, "Let's go back to the truck and discuss it." Finally, he came back and continue arguing with me. I told him not to come in my house if he continues to argue with me. So they left. I called their supervisor and told me that he sent them to check that the job was done correctly. He said he will call me back after he talked to them. Never heard from him. However, why did he send the guy who did the error.

    I booked an appointment about 3 months ago online. It was supposed to be between 8am-1pm. Someone called my husband and said that they were a little behind and would be here between 1:30-2:00pm. Ok I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Now it's going on 2:30pm and still no one, so my husband called and canceled. Never had an issue before. We will never have our carpets cleaned from them again.

    I have already sent in a complaint to the website. The kitchen floor/dining looks good. Do you send your employees to customer service training? Not very customer service sounding when addressing a customer as “Man” for every question or statement. “Good morning Man”, “Hey Man”, man this, man that. At a minimum a first name should be used, or “Mr. Lastname”.

    The couch looked “clean” when he was done, because the whole thing was soaking wet. Next day, after drying, it looked like it was barely touched and does not look clean. I watched him “clean” the couch. He soaked it to sit as he did the floors. This is good… understand why. However when it was time to clean the couch, I could swear it took all of 10 minutes to do. Watching him, he did not take the time to slow the truck to pull the water, he rushed the job. I will not use, or recommend this company. Watered down cleaning solution on couches does not work. I could not even smell a cleaning solution, only water when the couch was soaking. This will be posted online.

    Had 2 rooms cleaned. Minimal coverage, with most all furniture removed. The rep spent 20 min, but left quite a few spots behind. When I inquired about redoing those areas, I was told that the spots were due to my padding bleeding through. I used my Bissell spot cleaner and got all the stains out after the tech left.

    We requested upholstery cleaning of our sofa and loveseat, deodorizing and protectant applied. They came from Ohio, which I don't understand why since there is a store in Cranberry, PA. We paid them $420. What a rip off. The men came to clean our furniture and left with the furniture stained and dirtier than before they started. We believe they used old water or old protectant or something. They did not remove the stains and did not clean in between the cushions. They did not use a deodorizer that we could smell. They did a horrible job. We had to scrub our sofa and loveseat ourselves for fear they damaged our furniture, a waste of our Friday night, and I have photos and videos for proof.

    I called to file a complaint. They sent two men out to our house to redo the cleaning. This was a total inconvenience and a waste of our Saturday. I called again and requested to speak to a manager or supervisor to request a refund, or at the very least a partial refund. I was told "the manager/supervisor have to return your call within 24-48 hours". No one called. I am very displeased with their service, customer service overall and would not recommend them to anyone.

    This is the first time I have used Stanley Steemer. I paid a lot of money for their service which was quoted online. My carpet is only 3 years old. The techs arrived as scheduled. I reviewed with them the service I had agreed to. Before and during the carpet cleaning and deodorizing process, they kept trying to upsell me other products. The cleaning was done relatively quickly...however, their cleaning process did not deal with the parts of my carpet that really needed the cleaning... very disappointed that I had to clean those areas on my hands and knees after Stanley Steemer left. If I could clean these areas... they should have been able to clean those area.

    What they advertise and what they deliver are 2 different things. I am a senior citizen and my having to complete the cleaning was tiring and tedious. They made many excuses as to why they couldn't clean those areas. I had them go over and over a couple areas but still poor results. They did not appropriately place protectors under the legs of my furniture. I had to walk the rooms to have them do all of those correctly. When it came time to pay for the services... I reviewed carefully the details based on their approved quote... At this point, I noticed an additional charge which was not in my quote and that I had not agreed to. I was forced to argue with them about that charge over and over to get it removed... Sad commentary on the behaviors of Stanley Steemer pricing transparency. In conclusion...I won't ever use their service again!

    Stanley Steemers use to be a good company back in the day. Now they are horrible and I advise for no one to hire them. They made my less than 2yr old carpet look very bad. They missed areas to be cleaned and they also damaged my walls with their hose. After contacting the company 1st speaking with a representative who pulled up my information right away informed me that the company hires outside companies to help them. After submitting a request call from a Manager so I explained the situation to she tells me all of a sudden I'm not located in their system and how it must be another company she kept talking over me not even trying to hear what I had to say trying to let her know that her customer service rep pulled my info right up so I'm definitely in their system.

    At this point I advised her I will be contacting BBB and AG and disconnected the phone. Had she listened instead of trying to denied that they were the company that did an absolutely horrible job on my carpet and also damaged my walls in my new home. Mind you then she could of found out that I had the receipt right there in my hand as we spoke which will be turned over to BBB and AG. So please if you need carpet service do no contact them. The job was horrible. They damage your property and management will not resolve the matter for you. This is not ok

    I called Stanley Steemer to have my sofa and loveseat clean. Young gentleman showed up really didn’t look like he will experience. He wasn’t too sure about what he was doing. He left things on my couch that wasn’t near prior to getting it clean. I called and complained about the service. They sent the same person out again and he did worse. The next time my carpet has me my couch and loveseat have stains and it was fairly new. It looks horrible. I am not satisfied with Stanley Steemer service. They used to be known for quality and good service. I’ll give them a F. This is unacceptable totally.

    I guess for all the years this company has been in business they haven't figured out that there are other modes for air circulation besides Air Conditioning. Apparently, it is company policy to only clean in areas where there is an AC working. Which they fail to tell you when you schedule the appointment. So, they wasted 4 hours of my time and could have scheduled another customer during that time, but due to poor communication through their scheduling department, we all lost. I will never use this company again and don't recommend them.

    This company gave me a terrible "cleaning". They messed up one of the rooms leaving a big stain on the carpet. Then told me the stain was already there. It wasn't. Funny how that stain is the exact same size as one of their "steemers". The carpets were wet as if they had cleaned them but there was still hair in the carpets from the previous house owner. I'll never use them again and advise others not to use them.

    I was very disappointed in the cleaning service. My carpet is old and stained, I had a thought that a very reputable carpet company could at least get down to the bottom of my stains. I just tried to clean a spot and had a huge amount of dog hair from a very small area. All of the old spots are coming back. Very disappointed!

    I could not understand a word the man that showed up was saying and my wife had to try it figure it out. He was suppose to call us on am of that day and give us a better time as to when he was coming. I had to move almost everything out of the room..except a couch and chair and I only had one arm. Then he said he was done and he didn't even slide the couch and chair out and do under them. I had to move them out and they even had sliding pads under them. He didn't have any fresh water on his truck and was wanting to hook up to my outside hose and it is hard water with iron in it.

    When I said he couldn't we keep filling up jugs from our kitchen sink and he keep dumping them in his water tank on the machine about 10 jugs. The worst thing now is that our carpet smells terrible and not sure why unless it was something in our water that reacted with the carpet. Everyone that comes in can smell it and I have to do something about it, it's terrible. I don't think he used any deodorant or anything in his water or after spray. Please tell me what to do about the smell. I wouldn't post this but the text they sent me about if I was satisfied and I explained why I wasn't and they said someone would be contacting me. Most information I have read says they did not extract all the water back out of the carpet and mold could be forming in the carpet pad. I hate the thought that we will have to replace our carpet. It is not that old. Will not use this Company out of Findlay Ohio again.

    Very inconsistent results! I have used Stanley Steemer 4 times. Two times they did a terrific job, one time was okay, but the last time was terrible! Unfortunately, you can't always tell how a carpet has come out until after it is dry. I tipped the two workers very well, and regret it! After they left and the carpet was dry, the dirt showed up. I wrote an email to the company about it and never heard anything from them.

    Horrible service! My carpet cleaning was delayed and I was never notified. Then I was blamed for the delay because the cleaning needed additional equipment. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I was really thinking that the company name and the fact that Stanley Streamer has been around for such a long time that the service and quality would be better. But sadly it's not. What a major disappointment!

    I hired Stanley Steemer for duct cleaning and spent over $700, expecting a professional service. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. After the cleaning, I found dirt and debris left around nearly every vent. I had already cleaned the mess myself before they offered to come back, and their resolution was only a $50 gift card — which did not come close to making up for the poor service.

    Worse, when I returned home from a trip, I found large chunks of my bathroom ceiling had fallen down directly next to one of the vents they serviced. I immediately reached out, went through multiple phone calls and texts, and eventually had someone come look at it. Their response was that it “wasn’t their fault” and they refused to take responsibility. Between the lack of care during the cleaning, the damage to my home, and the dismissive customer service, I cannot recommend Stanley Steemer. I expected much better from a company of this size and reputation, and will not be using their services again.
