    I booked an appointment about 3 months ago online. It was supposed to be between 8am-1pm. Someone called my husband and said that they were a little behind and would be here between 1:30-2:00pm. Ok I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Now it's going on 2:30pm and still no one, so my husband called and canceled. Never had an issue before. We will never have our carpets cleaned from them again.

    I have already sent in a complaint to the website. The kitchen floor/dining looks good. Do you send your employees to customer service training? Not very customer service sounding when addressing a customer as “Man” for every question or statement. “Good morning Man”, “Hey Man”, man this, man that. At a minimum a first name should be used, or “Mr. Lastname”.

    The couch looked “clean” when he was done, because the whole thing was soaking wet. Next day, after drying, it looked like it was barely touched and does not look clean. I watched him “clean” the couch. He soaked it to sit as he did the floors. This is good… understand why. However when it was time to clean the couch, I could swear it took all of 10 minutes to do. Watching him, he did not take the time to slow the truck to pull the water, he rushed the job. I will not use, or recommend this company. Watered down cleaning solution on couches does not work. I could not even smell a cleaning solution, only water when the couch was soaking. This will be posted online.

    Had 2 rooms cleaned. Minimal coverage, with most all furniture removed. The rep spent 20 min, but left quite a few spots behind. When I inquired about redoing those areas, I was told that the spots were due to my padding bleeding through. I used my Bissell spot cleaner and got all the stains out after the tech left.

    We requested upholstery cleaning of our sofa and loveseat, deodorizing and protectant applied. They came from Ohio, which I don't understand why since there is a store in Cranberry, PA. We paid them $420. What a rip off. The men came to clean our furniture and left with the furniture stained and dirtier than before they started. We believe they used old water or old protectant or something. They did not remove the stains and did not clean in between the cushions. They did not use a deodorizer that we could smell. They did a horrible job. We had to scrub our sofa and loveseat ourselves for fear they damaged our furniture, a waste of our Friday night, and I have photos and videos for proof.

    I called to file a complaint. They sent two men out to our house to redo the cleaning. This was a total inconvenience and a waste of our Saturday. I called again and requested to speak to a manager or supervisor to request a refund, or at the very least a partial refund. I was told "the manager/supervisor have to return your call within 24-48 hours". No one called. I am very displeased with their service, customer service overall and would not recommend them to anyone.

    This is the first time I have used Stanley Steemer. I paid a lot of money for their service which was quoted online. My carpet is only 3 years old. The techs arrived as scheduled. I reviewed with them the service I had agreed to. Before and during the carpet cleaning and deodorizing process, they kept trying to upsell me other products. The cleaning was done relatively quickly...however, their cleaning process did not deal with the parts of my carpet that really needed the cleaning... very disappointed that I had to clean those areas on my hands and knees after Stanley Steemer left. If I could clean these areas... they should have been able to clean those area.

    What they advertise and what they deliver are 2 different things. I am a senior citizen and my having to complete the cleaning was tiring and tedious. They made many excuses as to why they couldn't clean those areas. I had them go over and over a couple areas but still poor results. They did not appropriately place protectors under the legs of my furniture. I had to walk the rooms to have them do all of those correctly. When it came time to pay for the services... I reviewed carefully the details based on their approved quote... At this point, I noticed an additional charge which was not in my quote and that I had not agreed to. I was forced to argue with them about that charge over and over to get it removed... Sad commentary on the behaviors of Stanley Steemer pricing transparency. In conclusion...I won't ever use their service again!

    Stanley Steemers use to be a good company back in the day. Now they are horrible and I advise for no one to hire them. They made my less than 2yr old carpet look very bad. They missed areas to be cleaned and they also damaged my walls with their hose. After contacting the company 1st speaking with a representative who pulled up my information right away informed me that the company hires outside companies to help them. After submitting a request call from a Manager so I explained the situation to she tells me all of a sudden I'm not located in their system and how it must be another company she kept talking over me not even trying to hear what I had to say trying to let her know that her customer service rep pulled my info right up so I'm definitely in their system.

    At this point I advised her I will be contacting BBB and AG and disconnected the phone. Had she listened instead of trying to denied that they were the company that did an absolutely horrible job on my carpet and also damaged my walls in my new home. Mind you then she could of found out that I had the receipt right there in my hand as we spoke which will be turned over to BBB and AG. So please if you need carpet service do no contact them. The job was horrible. They damage your property and management will not resolve the matter for you. This is not ok

    I called Stanley Steemer to have my sofa and loveseat clean. Young gentleman showed up really didn’t look like he will experience. He wasn’t too sure about what he was doing. He left things on my couch that wasn’t near prior to getting it clean. I called and complained about the service. They sent the same person out again and he did worse. The next time my carpet has me my couch and loveseat have stains and it was fairly new. It looks horrible. I am not satisfied with Stanley Steemer service. They used to be known for quality and good service. I’ll give them a F. This is unacceptable totally.

    I guess for all the years this company has been in business they haven't figured out that there are other modes for air circulation besides Air Conditioning. Apparently, it is company policy to only clean in areas where there is an AC working. Which they fail to tell you when you schedule the appointment. So, they wasted 4 hours of my time and could have scheduled another customer during that time, but due to poor communication through their scheduling department, we all lost. I will never use this company again and don't recommend them.

    This company gave me a terrible "cleaning". They messed up one of the rooms leaving a big stain on the carpet. Then told me the stain was already there. It wasn't. Funny how that stain is the exact same size as one of their "steemers". The carpets were wet as if they had cleaned them but there was still hair in the carpets from the previous house owner. I'll never use them again and advise others not to use them.

    I was very disappointed in the cleaning service. My carpet is old and stained, I had a thought that a very reputable carpet company could at least get down to the bottom of my stains. I just tried to clean a spot and had a huge amount of dog hair from a very small area. All of the old spots are coming back. Very disappointed!

    I could not understand a word the man that showed up was saying and my wife had to try it figure it out. He was suppose to call us on am of that day and give us a better time as to when he was coming. I had to move almost everything out of the room..except a couch and chair and I only had one arm. Then he said he was done and he didn't even slide the couch and chair out and do under them. I had to move them out and they even had sliding pads under them. He didn't have any fresh water on his truck and was wanting to hook up to my outside hose and it is hard water with iron in it.

    When I said he couldn't we keep filling up jugs from our kitchen sink and he keep dumping them in his water tank on the machine about 10 jugs. The worst thing now is that our carpet smells terrible and not sure why unless it was something in our water that reacted with the carpet. Everyone that comes in can smell it and I have to do something about it, it's terrible. I don't think he used any deodorant or anything in his water or after spray. Please tell me what to do about the smell. I wouldn't post this but the text they sent me about if I was satisfied and I explained why I wasn't and they said someone would be contacting me. Most information I have read says they did not extract all the water back out of the carpet and mold could be forming in the carpet pad. I hate the thought that we will have to replace our carpet. It is not that old. Will not use this Company out of Findlay Ohio again.

    Very inconsistent results! I have used Stanley Steemer 4 times. Two times they did a terrific job, one time was okay, but the last time was terrible! Unfortunately, you can't always tell how a carpet has come out until after it is dry. I tipped the two workers very well, and regret it! After they left and the carpet was dry, the dirt showed up. I wrote an email to the company about it and never heard anything from them.

    Horrible service! My carpet cleaning was delayed and I was never notified. Then I was blamed for the delay because the cleaning needed additional equipment. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I was really thinking that the company name and the fact that Stanley Streamer has been around for such a long time that the service and quality would be better. But sadly it's not. What a major disappointment!

    I hired Stanley Steemer for duct cleaning and spent over $700, expecting a professional service. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. After the cleaning, I found dirt and debris left around nearly every vent. I had already cleaned the mess myself before they offered to come back, and their resolution was only a $50 gift card — which did not come close to making up for the poor service.

    Worse, when I returned home from a trip, I found large chunks of my bathroom ceiling had fallen down directly next to one of the vents they serviced. I immediately reached out, went through multiple phone calls and texts, and eventually had someone come look at it. Their response was that it “wasn’t their fault” and they refused to take responsibility. Between the lack of care during the cleaning, the damage to my home, and the dismissive customer service, I cannot recommend Stanley Steemer. I expected much better from a company of this size and reputation, and will not be using their services again.

    We received a quote on the phone. When the workers arrived we find out the job would be $100 more because of the areas rugs. We called the office and were told by a very rude manager that it was our responsibility to tell them that we had area rugs. Why is that my responsibility? They should be asking those questions before giving a price. We compromised at paying $50 Extra because we had prepared the house and didn’t want to do it again for another company. The men who came here were polite and patient until this was resolved. They also said this issue happens often. Maybe Stanley Steamer should be training their phone people to Ask the right questions on the phone so this doesn’t happen. But I’m beginning to think this is their business model.

    On July 15th Stanley Steemer came out to clean the carpets at our new home as a pre-move in precaution because we have grandchildren who will be crawling and toddling around on the floors. When we went back for our final walk through on the 17th before closing, the carpet was still wet and it had just begun to have a musty odor. I called Stanley Steemer and they agreed to come back the next day. The tech who came and the woman I spoke with to make the appointment both said the original tech had overwet the carpet, which was what caused the problem. But they said recleaning and deodorizing would fix it. It did not. The odor got worse.

    On the 19th, they came again with the manager, he said recleaning and deodorizing AND adding in sanitizing spray would definitely solve the problem. The carpet kept smelling worse. Finally got the franchise owner who had come to town to come back out on July 24th. He claimed to not smell it, and didn’t feel the dampness, but agreed to send out a Carpet Inspector, confirming for me who that was and that I’d be hearing from him. When we didn’t hear from the Inspector for a few days, we hired and paid for a local Carpet Inspector, same qualifications/training/certification as the original one hired by the owner. He came out on July 29th and examined the carpet. His official report clearly stated based on the physical examination and the evidence that the carpet was indeed still wet after 3 WEEKS and that the fault lay clearly with STANLEY STEEMER and NOT the homeowners.

    I spoke with the owner and let him know the inspection had been completed, shared the Inspector’s name and contact information with him and forwarded the report to him. Now we can’t get anyone to return our calls. The smell now permeates the home, we are having headaches from the smell and of course mold becomes a real concern. This is not a company to ever choose to clean your carpets based on our experience.

    Lawrence was knowledgeable and professional. Did a great job! Carpet looks great. Had it protected, also. Bought some if their cleaner for spot cleaning. Said not to use the soap based or oily cleaners as they leave residue and attract dirt.

    They came out to provide a quote for the business, told us we would hear back by the end of the day, that did not happen. I called and they stated it would be end of day that day or the next morning at the latest, still nothing. Called today, the secretary has no answers and unable to answer anything. Don't waste your time on this company, they do not value your time and they obviously don't need the business.

    The cleaning service was horrible. First employee had his headphones on and didn't hear us when spoken to. He was only going to clean around the Rocks because the accent tables were there and he wouldn't move them. Our reception is have to help him move them. The whole process took him about 20 minutes and he advises to replace the rugs instead of cleaning them properly. We end up cleaning only 2 of the 3 originally planned, because of it. the rugs were put outside by our staff. We couldn't leave them wet and dirty inside.

    Had Stanley Steamer come out last month to clean to area rugs, stairs, landing and a small bathroom rug the man put a scotch guard. I told him the carpet didn’t look clean and he said they were still wet and would be fine. After they tried, they were worse, called them back to come out. Somebody came out and didn’t look at any better plus they didn’t use any scotch card or whatever they use on top, I called to complain talk to a manager. It was very rude. Talk over me. I asked Kevin to let me explain and he just was very nasty and what listened anything I had to say.

    I’m 83 years old. Cannot do my own carpets. They look horrible. It’s an expensive silk carpet. I feel bad. I had told my daughter-in-law. I was going to call them to do my carpets. She did the same with horrible, horrible results. I paid $450. They had quoted me a lot less but when they came in they end up charging me more. I paid for it but I sadly very disappointed. I’m out $450. I have a very dirty carpet. Looks worse than when it came. I cannot believe I was treated so horribly. I should’ve read the complaints before I had them come..

    I am shocked at my experience, especially after seeing rave reviews, which prompted me to have the service performed. I had the service done last Thursday, and on Saturday, I changed my AC unit's air filter, because I saw no notable changes mentioned by one of my neighbors. These photos are what I found in the ductwork behind the air handler. This all started when their company representative gave me a pitch about how Stanley Steemer's process was supposed to prevent Legionnaire's disease and other issues caused by breathing allergens caused dirty air, but then a crew comes out, and THIS is what they leave behind.

    As a follow up, to these photos, I checked camera footage and the crew spent most of their time in their air conditioned truck, while the process they were supposed to be running in my home; had them to turn off my central AC unit for over 3 hours in 90 degree temperatures, allowing my home to reach sweltering conditions, which it took nearly a full day to recompensate. They made a point to bring out air lines, and drag them across floors, which inspecting the ductwork, showed they did not attach them to anything. They also created a before-after presentation, and left the dirt and dust collected at the locations in place. When I started to clean the debris, they said it was part of their job to do it, so I stopped. They left and did not even clean the spots left behind in their fraud.

    Recently on July 11, 2025 I made an appointment with Stanley Steemer to come out to clean my carpet. He came out, clean the carpet and left. After the next day and 8/8 discovery that the carpet had not been cleaned to my satisfaction the downstairs area which is a high traffic area was not claimed at The entrance of the doors and a high traffic walkways in the hallway. I called the company and made a complaint. They said they were sent out someone on July 19, 2025 to inspect and do another cleaning to the carpet.

    The technician came out on time, came in my house, looked at the carpet and said that the carpet had already been clean. I said, "Do you see those spots? This cubby has not been touched." he said yes it Has due to the high traffic and stains in the carpet at the cleaning they still remain the same so therefore they were not come out. That’s what he said and I said not so. I said if I clean this carpet myself, I’m sure it would come cleaner than this. He said, "Well what do you want me to do?" I said, "You can leave." He said OK, he walked out the door with a very nasty attitude. I am 72 years old, I gave them good money to clean my carpet and it’s not clean so therefore I would have to do this cleaning myself. If I want it to be clear, remind you I have paid them $450 for cleaning the upstairs just a heads of the downstairs and they still did not clean this carpet to my satisfaction. I am very unhappy.

    Stanley Steemer is absolutely the best company for carpet cleaning in this area. I have tried other companies in the past and none can compare to Stanley Steemer. Today Eugene cleaned the carpeting in my apartment and he did an excellent job. He was very personable and meticulous in his approach to the cleaning. Things were moved and plastic protectors were put in place. I have an older carpet but after Eugene finished, it now looks almost new. I was very pleased with the service that Eugene provided and I highly recommend Stanley Steemer.

    Stanley Steemer came to clean our air ducts and left a mess on our newly-cleaned carpets (they have to be cleaned again) and in front of all of our ducts. The technician left his phone behind -- the whole thing was not very professional and really disappointing. Do not use this service - high cost, low return.

    We recently hired Stanley Steemer in North Las Vegas to come clean our father's home while he was in the hospital. They sent Sergio who seemed nice enough. He was thorough while cleaning the room we were near but after cleaning our father's bedroom he left quickly. Turns out our father's "emergency $ stash" disappeared with him. He never got to the floors before bolting. We called the local office, and the manager tried to say one of us stole the money and said he'd ask Sergio about it. We never heard back and assume he got a cut (the amount of money stolen was substantial). If you hire in North Las Vegas keep an eye on them!

    DO NOT USE STANLEY STEEMER- SCAM!! I put the order in for basic cleaning (absolutely no add-ons) and the guy showed up with that correct order (which the call center confirmed) and proceeded to scam their way into applying an upgrade. Their phone number goes into a call center and you have to argue your way into speaking to anyone besides the call center person who has no authority to do anything. The "manager" is basically a rude person that talks over you and just spews without even understanding the problem. He stated the order is meaningless...only what the guy can manage to scam/sell you at the house is what matters. He was fine and rather proud to have me put that in the review.

    Even when the technician was told to stop from putting any more deodorizer on the floor he continued to try to sell it, along with trying to sell cleaning more rugs even after being told no several times. What a racket....they have no integrity. The manager readily admitted he was not ok with the guy continuing to try to sell after he was told to stop but refused to do anything about it and hung up. They are horrible and the job they did on the carpet was terrible. They caused the carpet to buckle in several areas that now has to be stretched. The whole thing was a fiasco. DO NOT USE THEM.

    A Stanley steemer employee came to clean next door building. When he parked in their parking lot, he hit my fence and dented it. The fence is fully on my property, not the property line, so he was trespassing too. I asked him to move his car off my fence and he said no. He acknowledged that it was my property but he didn't care. I told him he scratched his car and he said he had many scratches and he didn't care. He said that in order to have enough room he hit my fence on purpose. He got angry when I confronted him and kept saying that I was being rude to him by telling him to move his car off my property and telling him not to damage it.
