This Company stated that CREDIT is not a requirement to get approved for new leases... Unfortunately, I was DENIED with NO REASON as to why... I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone... Please don't consider doing Business with a Company that cannot stand by their advertisement....

I've made an attempt to apply for Progressive Leasing to obtain a phone through Cricket, however, it was denied due to the fact that they were unable to verify my credit card. Called the phone number to speak to customer support and the employee said that my because my addresses didn't match, they were unable to process my card. ??? Mind you, my card is linked to a P.O. Box billing address, as we don't have a mailbox at our home (rural area). She then told me to reapply again by inputting my home address as my billing address. Again, I got the same denial information. I sent an email to the customer support and they sent me a copy of the denial status. Like Hello!!! I know it was denied, but how do I fix it!
Anyways, I tried calling again the following day and she informed me that because the processing department (dept that reached out to me by email) processed my "denied" application, she's unable to help me and I need to wait another 30 days unless I have another card that I can give her. If I have another card, do you think I would be applying for a small loan?

My experience with Progressive Leasing (also known as progleasing) was one of the most frustrating and difficult experiences I have ever had. Usually, a company is willing to work with you if you have a problem. The problem I had was they could not read. They asked for bank statements. I sent one set. It was blurry and couldn't be read. The second set I took and enhanced and cropped slightly to make them readable. They did not show the whole page so they were unacceptable. It was suggested I convert them to pdf documents. I did and still they could not be read. (Now all this time, they were completely readable to everyone but Progressive Leasing). I even spoke to a supervisor, Mark **, who informed me he could do nothing.
When was the last time a supervisor had no control over his employees. The last set was snapshotted and was perfectly clear. You guessed it. They could not read them. Finally, at this point I gave up. They said "Oh, we care about our customers." I told them I had done everything I could and what else did they want. I still have no idea. I even called the supervisor back and the woman on the phone is the first one to check the spelling of my name (misspelling due to their error) and discovered it was badly misspelled. Now they cannot even talk to me. I have never found a company so customer unfriendly as this one.
Don't just stay away, run away as fast as you can. Oh, lest I forget, the last suggestion they made was that I apply for the financing and just let the other party make the payments. I told them no way. I had done that once before and ended up prosecuting the person for identity theft. Have you ever? No reputable financing company would EVER make a proposition like that. So I do not recommend Progressive Leasing in any way.

I signed up for Progressive Leasing at Lowe's. It was a simple process. Within 15 minutes I was able to purchase a freezer and schedule a delivery. After delivery, I noticed there was damage. I called Lowes and they offered a discount if I kept it. I called Progressive Leasing and explained the situation. The representative called Lowes right then. She was able to verify the discount and then adjusted my account. The next day I double checked my account and everything was perfect. I paid off the freezer within the 90 day option and everything was great. I would highly recommend Progressive Leasing for those situations when you need something and don't have the cash. I do suggest the 90 day payoff so you don't get stuck in the long term contract. The interest rate is very high.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, I contacted Progressive as soon as I knew I was going to have trouble making payments until money started coming back in. The person I spoke to was fantastic, told me they would extend my 90 days same as cash option out to the end of May, 2020 to help me out, and that payments would be suspended until then. I asked at least 3 times - "So I don't need to make ANY payments until May 30, then just pay off the 90 days same as cash amount, right?" - and the rep confirmed that was correct every time I asked.
Fast forward 1 month later, and I start getting several calls per day, all from different phone numbers, all from Progressive Leasing telling me my payment is past due, but they are there to help and to call them back. I call back and advise of my arrangement with the 90 days same as cash offer being extended, no payments due, so I'm not technically past due - and the woman on the phone says, "Actually you ARE past due, more than a month past due, and it's not actually 90 days same as cash..." and then rattles off some other description of some number of days and interest, etc. I explain again what I was told about not having to make any payments until the date I was given in my first phone call to them, and am told I'm wrong, that they know that's not what I was told.
I have made every one of my payments on time every month since I started this lease in January - why would I intentionally NOT pay something I know is going to go past due and possibly damage my credit even further? I know what I was told on the phone with the first phone call - I wrote it all down, name of the rep, date I called and the time I called. I asked several times and was told I didn't have to make any payments until the end of May, and then I could just pay off the 90 days same as cash amount.
In the end, the rep that I spoke to today told me she could "push off" the payments to the end of the month and I might still get a couple of phone calls, but to ignore them. Which leaves me wondering why she had to be so difficult in the first place? Pretty sure I won't be dealing with them again. My experience seems so similar to the other experiences I'm seeing listed here - it just makes me feel uneasy about dealing with them - like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing at that company.

This company was great to work with initially. I had a couple leases I always paid on time and usually paid off early. All was great until I changed my bank account, how dare I! I guess if you change your bank account and then RE-APPLY they go completely nuts and cannot compute what just happened. I changed my bank and reapplied for a lease and they denied me. I made more money than I did before so this was baffling. I was never late or failed to pay, so it was confusing. I had multiple successful leases with them, so this was mind boggling!
Because I changed my bank they requested new information for ANY bank I offered. I have a few banks. They request multiple statements, voided check, and your ID front and back. I don't have checks and I will not be getting checks (Technically my bank doesn't offer them, which I like) so I am screwed. They WILL NOT approve my lease because my bank changed. Who cares that I've had like 5 leases with them. That doesn't matter WITHOUT A VOIDED CHECK THEY WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH YOU.
I would recommend Snap financing or Zibby renamed Katapult. They are easy to work with and will not disown you because you got a new bank. They accept money, and don't care about voided check. So basically, NEVER change your bank if you use Progressive or they won't work with you unless they get you to jump through multiple hoops. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Progressive Leasing. I do recommend Snap Finance, and Katapult.

Easily Leased mattress with Progressive Leasing, my credit is fair, and I needed a new mattress desperately. Jerome’s here in Fountain Valley, CA offered this lease Pgm to help me, yes percentage rate high, but they gave me 90 days to pay back same as cash and or early buy out. I was able to have the mattress I wanted delivered same day, application was easy, automatic payments every pay day made things much more less stressful, after 6 months I did early buy out and the mattress is now mine. Not the same amt paid if I would of done the 90 days same as cash, paid a bit more of course, but was prorated the amount to additional time.
They offer an easy online and mobile application to easily see all my account info, including early buy out amount, due date of next payment, lease agreement, etc, excellent way to keep track, all the information needed directly in front of me, another business similar (RAC) I’ve dealt with hid buy out amt, amt if completed full lease amt, & was not easy to use.
I needed assistance over the phone, got a live voice after several mins on hold, lady who helped me gave me the best customer assistance I’ve ever experienced, she was professional, knew her job well, listened and went above and beyond for me, didn’t feel rushed at all, treated me like a human being and not just another number or person, and helped my situation, so sorry I forgot her name. I would definitely recommend Progressive Leasing to family and friends and repeat business with them again.

I had purchased a mattress from Mattress City in Everett Wa in 2019. Gary the salesmen there told me that I would only be paying $1,000 for the mattress through Progressive Leasing after the payments had been completed. He said that he was going to set me up on auto pay and that way I wouldn't miss any payments and that I would not pay any more than $1,000. He told me that the payments were monthly and that I would only be paying $88.98 a month. I was happy to get a new mattress and agreed to what he had promised.
Fast forward to yesterday March 23rd 2020. With the current pandemic my fiancé and I had started paying a little more attention to our bank account and I soon became enraged when I found out I had been paying by weekly the $88.98. After further investigation I had found out that Gary the salesmen from mattress city had completely lied to me about the lease contract that he explained to me. When I had signed the documents at the mattress store I had sign electronically through a pos pin pad. The contract was not in front of me and Gary "explained" everything verbally. I was young and dumb, he was older and he saw the opportunity to take advantage of me just to grab a quick sale.
To this date I had already paid $978.78 (11 payments of $88.98 since September) so when I logged into my progressive account I was in for another big surprise, not only was I lied to about the monthly payments but I also found out that I still owed an additional $1,334.64. I was shocked and I was extremely upset that someone would take advantage of me in this way. I ended up going to the mattress store and told the manager about what had happened and she explained that there was nothing that they could do even after threatening to take legal action.
I knew it was not progressive leasing's fault but I decided to call and explain the situation. I simply could not afford a $2,300 mattress. While on the phone with the customer service representative I explain the situation and they decided to waive the remaining $1,300 that I owed because of the situation that I had gone through. I was in tears when they gave me the news. I am so extremely grateful for what progressive leasing and their employees had done for me and I will never forget this. I highly recommend doing business with this company. What they did for me is unheard of and they deserve to be recognized for it. The employees that I spoke with were two representatives by the names of Demi and Chris. I also asked to speak with a supervisor afterwards to express my appreciation, her name was Aaron. All three were exceptionally helpful, understanding and kind. Thank you so so much to these three and God bless you all.

I started 2 Progressive leases in August of last year. I recently decided to try for another and they informed me I couldn't because I already had 2 accounts - that was fine. They said if I one or both in full I could appeal the decision. So, I did. Paid it off, let it clear and sent them a picture of my account showing the cleared balance. There was still an issue so I called back and found out that it was because they needed to see the final payment AND the monthly payment cleared, that's fine. So I send them a copy of that along with the final payoff, and now they are saying they won't accept an 'altered,' document.
The only alteration is a black line over the first digits of my bank account number, with the last 4 easily readable for verification that it is the account associated with my leases. I've called 3 times over the course of the last 2 days (in the middle of moving and working) and all of a sudden, now that they have verification of the payoff of the item. They aren't interested in resolving this. Customer service and processing are on different pages and I've recieved incorrect information regarding how to handle this.
This is a huge disappointment because up to today I had a pretty amicable view of this company. I've always paid on time and I was happy with my purchase. However, now working with their office I would argue that this company is only good if you never have any issues, ever, with anything. I would not recommend... It's like their left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.

If I could have given this company zero stars, I would have. My husband and I opened an account with them two months before we got married in 2019 in order to finance our wedding rings. The very first experience I had with them was at the jewelry store when the individual that our salesperson was talking to just could not figure out how to enter the proper bank account information. Our sales person probably gave them our checking account number four different times before it was finally correct. I should have taken that as a sign, but I didn't.
Fast forward after about seven months of on-time payments, they knock on my door one night after I've already gone to bed. The gentleman that is representing Progressive Leasing said that they had not spoken to me and I have a late payment. I told him that I had communication with the 800 number and we had arrangements. He stood out in the hallway and managed to read my debit card number aloud on speakerphone to the company rep to verify our arrangement so that all my neighbors heard. When I called the company to complain about this, they told me they were sorry and that was about it.
Subsequently, I have fraud issues on my bank account and had to close it. I can only attribute this to the moronic display of unprofessionalism by banging on my door at almost 8 at night and reading my debit card number aloud for everyone to hear. Oh and you think that's it? No. There's more ridiculousness. I called to make an arrangement to pay off the entire rest of the account yesterday and they banged on my door again today. I absolutely lost it and yelled at the guy, explaining to him that an arrangement was made and I did not appreciate them showing up at my home unwarranted. He proceeded to look on his stupid little tablet only to say to me. "Oh, yes. I see that you made an arrangement. I'm sorry to bother you."
Are you freaking kidding me? This company is so willing to come after you at your home or place of business when you've already made arrangements. I don't know if the communication is sorry between the individuals they're sending out or what's going on, but it is absolutely 100% unacceptable. If I could annihilate this company in any other way, I would. I will be so glad to be rid of them...I cannot even begin to explain.

Based on my experience so far, I would recommend Progressive Leasing to anyone needing to buy certain items but lack upfront money and the necessary credit. I called Progressive on the 24th, and basically I was told that if the payment didn't go through, they would keep trying, resulting in more fees. I called in with enough time (3 days) to stop the payment, yet the rep did not stop it. I have intentions of paying in full and ending things with them. However; When I tried to pay the balance off after 3 weeks on their site the payment never went through. This after they promised me (on the phone) they would not charge for another week because I was paying it off. They charged and got another week because I authorized ACH deductions from my bank account. I had to call the company multiple times to get things straight. Bottom Line; I ended up paying over 2K for a $1,500 purchase and this in ONLY. (Less than 30 days!) Don't do business with Regressive. Please! Buyer BEWARE!!!

My name is Bryan, and I've used Progressive Leasing for the last year. It was a fantastic service that offered so many great options. I was delighted until a recent denial. I've had three accounts with progressive leasing, where I paid everything on time and paid ahead of schedule. I've spent over $3000 worth of stuff using this service in three months. To my surprise, after paying off my past accounts with my Chime Bank account, progressive leasing is no longer taking checking card payments from this bank. With all the great online bank options available, traditional bank accounts are outdated. If you have an online bank account, you can't use this service when this was acceptable previously.
They lost a good customer because of an update that is not listed anywhere on their website or policies. The service is awesome, but this recent change caused a massive problem for me when all my payments were on time, and I used the service multiple times without any issues. Progressive Leasing should look into correcting the issue with the online checking accounts instead of forcing people to get traditional bank accounts — especially when the service was available previously, and your system was causing the initial issue, not my online bank.

I finally received my washer about 3 weeks after I ordered it. The gentleman I was working with was very pleasant and helpful. He made it a priority for himself to check on updates regularly and also keep me updated. I ended up switching banks about 3 months later to a local credit union and didn’t think anything of it bc the 90 days would have been complete. I used this program with Cricket to purchase a phone during the holiday season. I was planning to space out transactions on my debit and credit cards, as I’m also going through a home buying process. Because cricket doesn’t have an option to pay on the phone monthly they introduced me to Progressive Leasing. Cricket needs to do a better job with training their representatives to properly explain all costs and risks associated with Progressive Leasing and the price difference if they just purchase the phone directly with Cricket.
I gave 3 stars because it’s not Progressive Leasing's fault that Cricket didn’t explain all the ins and outs BUT the program itself seems like a rip off to me. I was naive and became onboard when I found out there was no interest as long as I pay off before 90 days but little did I know they tack on tax! And depending on how big of a lump sum you pay towards your lease that tax can range between 5 and 40 bucks. I was under the impression that they would purchase the cash value of the phone and any tax accrued once they bought it from cricket and then just allow me to pay it off with no penalties.
Taxes will hurt you in the end and be sure to pay off before 90 days because the payment plan they set up for you will cause you to end up DOUBLE for the product you’re trying to buy. Even with the 90 day option I would opt to pay in 80 days instead because it takes them some days to process your payments. I understand everyone doesn’t have the credit to purchase things, but if possible borrow from a trusted relative or friend or just pay with a credit card or just chalk it up and pay upfront if you can because that extra 100-200 bucks or thousands (if you don’t do the 90 day option) double be used towards something else! BEWARE OF ALLLL THE COSTS and ask questions. Just don’t take people’s word for it no matter how excited and “knowledgeable" (really overconfident) they seem.

I went to my phone carrier and got a new iPhone. The receipt said the cost of the phone was 750$. They said, "You can work out a payment plan with a new lender." It all happened really quick. Because I have done this before at my store I didn’t think too much about it. These people are total sharks. If you don’t pay the 750$ balance off within three months they take the price of the phone and times it by three and then put you in a payment plan for 18 months and mind you they automatically deduct payments from you every two weeks from your checking account. By the time I realized I have already paid them almost 900$ they told me I would have to continue making payments for another year or do the buy out option of $500. I did the buy out option so I didn’t have to continue making $160 a month payments for another year. PLEASE do not use them. This is the worst type of loan you can get into. They should be stopped from doing business.
Oh and they claim it is not a loan .... it is a lease. I could have just given the phone back after I already had $900 in it. These people suck. All and all they wanted to charge me over $2100 for a phone that was $750. I’ve honestly never heard of such a thing and still don’t think this is legal. Luckily this was a smaller purchase. With larger ones this could really mess people up.

I have had an online login with Wayfair for some years with my maiden name. On Oct. 11 2019 I placed an order online with wayfair, I opted to use Progressive Leasing as I have leased with them in the past. I used my credit card in my now married name for the down payment which was approved for $1048.90. I was approved with Progressive leasing. I received emails from both wayfair and progressive that the order was successful. The next day I called wayfair and progressive leasing as online my account was showing each item I ordered was cancelled. I was then told my wayfair account was flagged for fraud. I assume my married name vs my maiden name, who knows. Nobody can tell you.
I was told to order something with my credit card, wait 30 days and try the lease again. Which I created a new account with my married information and ordered a spatula with the intent to wait and give them another try. I then spent days on the phone going back and forth between progressive leasing and wayfair to get the lease stopped being I wasn't getting anything I ordered. I was assured that My initial payment would be returned to me.
11/14/19 I received a call from Progressive leasing collection team demanding a payment by Rose. I was told Wayfair sent an invoice in the amount of $904.94, when the total of the initial order was $1048.90. Mind you I have never received anything, I was denied the option to the order. Now I'm responsible for paying the difference. Not to mention the time I've taken from my family and worked to resolve this. It's yet to be resolved. I will not be using Progressive Leasing again. Nobody is willing to help, they spoke with wayfair directly weeks ago and I was assured my down payment would be returned, now I'm being told I have to pay.

I know that the fact that I don’t have good credit that I will be paying more for things to get financing, that is something I have come to terms with. I used them a few years ago to buy a computer and I was happy with the outcome. I borrowed $700 the first time (that is all that I was approved for) and it covered the cost of what I wanted. I still have the computer and now I’m buying a brand new one and I was approved for $1875 (won’t spend that much, lol). I think I got approved for more money because I went through my first contract without missing any payments.
After the 1st computer was paid for I haven’t had any issues with them charging me money or anything. They still had my checking account info because when I did my second application the account info was already populated. I have never had to contact them except when I Had a problem setting up my online account. I love that they are here for those of us that have credit problems. And paying more to borrow because of bad credit is a fact of life that everyone needs to come to grips with. If you deleted all of the “they charge too much” bad ratings they would probably have 99% 5 star ratings.

They are purely a greedy company that does not want to help you with bad credit. They are going to exploit your bad credit. Whether it is a wedding ring that you want to purchase, or furniture, cell phone, car tires, etc., they are going to approve you for an amount that they know that you can not pay back in 90 days, and 1200 will turn into double that. They know how much you make and they want you to take the bait, pure evil! And so what I did was used only a small portion of what I was approved for, and paid them back in 2 weeks.
I know it’s a great feeling to get approved and get what you need, and pay back later, but if you do not read your contract you will regret it, and they don’t care it’s strictly business suckers. The lesson here is if you can’t pay back quickly don’t do it! Ohh by the way you will be paying a huge amount by weekly, and if you did the read the contract you will either pay double the amount you we’re approved for or you better go to a personal loan company to get the money to pay them back or your screwed. To them you are uneducated and, you have no comprehension of interest rates of at 150 percent. Go without stop making these crooks rich!

Well, I must say it is not often that I have to pull my foot out of my mouth, but here we are. I was contacted by Progressive Leasing after I posted my review and they were extremely helpful in resolving my perceived issue with prior day billing. David in Customer Resolution was apologetic and helped steer me in the right direction regarding the payment posting with my bank. I am truly satisfied with the outcome and he and his staff have changed my perception of the company. I understood the interest rate applicable to my purchase but he explained in detail how the prior day posting is just an advisory that payment would be processed as scheduled and went on to let me know that the company is always willing to assist with restructuring the payment dates if other concerns arose. Thank you, Progressive Leasing!

This morning I received an alert saying the payment for my furniture was being processed. Today is the 24th. My scheduled payments are on the 11th and 25th. This is unacceptable. Why have a scheduled payment processed the day before it is due??? Kinda defeats the purpose of setting the payment. I hope this does not create an overdraft on my account as this is the account I use for such billing and this prior day processing WAS NOT AUTHORIZED. I will be returning this merchandise and cancelling my contract since Progressive has defaulted on the terms. Who does this???

Yes, it's very easy to qualify which can be exciting for a lot of people with bad credit. What this is is predatory lending. They will charge you thousands of dollars on your purchases. I had 900 worth of product I leased, and by the end of my terms, I was being charged $2400.00. This company takes advantage of the fact that their renters are subprime borrowers, and capitalizes that, which is business, I get it. But the rates they charge to lend are out of control.

I was then told my payments were going to be $83.00 BUT I was not told that was biweekly! They gave me the contract and sent me on my way. Looking over it I then see that after making payments for 12 months I would be paying a total of $2,000!!! For a $700 phone! I am now realizing that I completely think they scammed me and had my payment bounce back because the payment came out on the 15th!!! Why would I schedule something to come out a day before I got paid.
The other fishy thing was that I went back to check my payment confirmation email (from Progressive) and it reads "Your account with us is PAID IN FULL* (This letter is void if any payment bounces or is returned unpaid.)" Fishy fishy fishy. I will be looking for anything that will tell me when I actually scheduled the payment to come out. I have 3 kids and was a single mom at the time. 2 years has passed and this company does not report to the credit bureaus. They did not harass me about payment. They only contact me with emails. Once a year offering a settlement. 3 years later I'm just now paying and they still offered me a settlement paying only 45% of what I actually owned. This is a company that has the right to obtain what you borrow from them but they still work with you anyway. I am extremely grateful. I am currently on a payment plan and am only paying 640 of 1320 that I owe. I don't believe that it's Progressive Leasing is the issue. The total was less than the contract, but the contract states that early pay off was 65% of remaining balance of the 90 day payoff option. Anyway, I paid it in full. I did not receive any more deductions from my debit card. Not attempts on my checking which they have on file as well. Almost 2.5 months goes by, I get an email saying my contract 798 has been completed and my first payment will begin for July. I look at the lease and it's for the same item I purchased six months prior and paid in full.
I call and this is what they tell me: That the system apply sales tax and that I have to pay the entire additional $798. The item I purchased is in no way worth $1600!!! I bought an iPhone XR. I tried to explain that I paid this, got the paid in full email and the account was zero for the last 2.5 months. Do you think they listened? Nope!!! So I had to change my bank details. After paying the full balance well before the 90 day mark, I asked the firm if they'd be so kind to include the true statement on any correspondence that I had paid the balance off even faster or better than the terms call for. They would not and that's a shame. It would have been an easy way to help a customer improve credit, a bit of good will via a simple true statement.
I do feel they abided by their terms, as did I, so I have no dispute with them in that respect. It seemed to me that they keep their fee as quiet as possible, almost making it seem as if there is no interest or price to be paid when the amount owing is paid in the first 90 days. Not so, the add-on fee amounted to roughly 10% of the purchase price. Now I read the full lease agreement and it was worth it to me to pay that. I just think folks would be well-advised to dig into their own agreement. The amount the consumer must pay will grow massively if they go 1 day beyond the 90 day mark. And in my experience, you'll unfortunately get little courtesy from this firm.

I am not including names or amounts for privacy. Ok first off, I read my contract. I knew what I was signing. I used a different company like this before with the exact same terms a couple years ago and I completed the 90 day buyout so I knew what I was getting into. You have to make sure you select "90 day buyout" when you make your payment and not just the regular payment. HOWEVER, when I did this, it showed me the buyout amount which I paid. Two days later it showed an additional buyout amount. I emailed Progressive asking them to send me a PIF letter and they said no, I owed yet; another amount different from what I paid and what was on their site.
I called and the rep said sometimes they give different buyout amounts as incentives but they don't honor online payments same day. I would have had to call. Then she said I would have had to use a card and not bank. It says nothing about any of this on their site. I made it quite clear this seems fraudulent since I paid what it showed on their site and they keep saying there are different 90 day payoff incentives, even now it shows a different amount than what they say was my balance according to contract. She did close my account and email me a PIF letter. I hope I will not run into any problems because the website shows my next payment to be drafted 6 months from now.
I asked about this and was told don't worry about it, no more payments will be drafted as long as my current payment is considered cleared by them. I'm going to be watching very closely. I never had this kind of trouble with the other company that I used. I will be talking to Best Buy corporate and recommending, for the good of their customers, that they change companies. I know that beggars can't be choosers with bad credit, but my credit is bad after a bad marriage and divorce. I am college educated, and I feel that Progressive seemingly tried to do something that would escape most educated people.
I understand contract terms, but don't offer online "lower payment" incentives if you do not intend to honor them. People think they are done and then get surprised by additional interest and payments later that they weren't expecting. It may not be your intention, but it looks like you are doing it to catch people off guard this way so they go beyond their 90 day option. At very least I encourage that below your 90 day purchase option, you state that 90 day payoff payments have to be made by card by phone that day to be honored, and not online that day.

Luckily I had the emails still with all the confirmation #s. They had to pay to pay my bank back what they pulled and NSF charges and nonscheduled payment charges.

Long story short if you don’t opt for the 90-day buyout option they get you by doubling the cost of the initial purchase e.g. $50 item is now $100. I purchased through Big Lots. THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE the high interest rate nor did Progressive. It was not until I downloaded the app and read the terms, but it’s obviously too late. However the app does state that there is no interest. THIS IS A LIE.

I paid a 50 dollar application fee or lease fee that was non refundable and my payments were 92 every 2 weeks. Paid up to my 90 day buyout and paid it off. I see all of these nasty reviews about paying double. If you do not do 90 day buyout then you are going to pay double for your purchase. That is just how it is. They are not scamming you. It is like going into Aaron’s or Rent-A-Center. If you pay within buyout period then it's way cheaper. I would recommend to anyone.

So the key to using this company is to 1) opt for a 90-day lease agreement and 2) understand it has to be paid off before or on the due date. The 90-day lease is cheaper than acquiring those high-interest fees but IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, YOU SHOULDN'T BE BUYING IT. Please take that into consideration when purchasing for wants, not needs. Anywho, so let's say the agreement is 90 days for $900, your biweekly payments should be about $150. But understand that the tax on that payment is not included in the payoff so the actual amount is more like 140. 6 weeks of payments of 140 is 840, not 900.
This is where I think the misunderstanding of payments is. Ok, so now it comes to the deadline for the 900 and you have payments coming out through direct deposit. All you need is 60 to pay it off so it shouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong! Typically that takes to 2-3 days to take money out of a checking or savings. This is how people miss their deadlines. That 60 should be paid off before the last day of agreement not on it. Basically, pay the last amount due over the span of the agreement as you pay the biweekly payments and you shouldn't have a problem.

Had moved into a new apartment with my wife last September. We needed a new couch and had looked at Big Lots. I just started a new job so I didn't have the cash to fork down on a brand new cash although I could afford bi weekly payments. Big Lots had told me about the lease to own option which allows me to purchase the couch within 90 days of the start of my lease. I was on board and went with that option, fast forward a month... They do not really tell you to switch to the Lease to Own option unless you ask or are already aware of this option. I looked into the account and found that the total cost of the couch was way more than what I was supposed to pay. I give them a call and have my account switched to the Lease to Own, after 3 months I had the couch paid off.
About 4 months later, I needed a new mattress. Knowing how expensive mattresses could be I was looking at an affordable one. I went to Mattress Firm and found the mattress I liked. After discussing with the salesperson, I found that the mattress I wanted was nearly $800 after everything is said and done. I found out through the salesperson that Progressive Leasing was an option and having already went with them for the couch I purchased I decided to do it again. I've been paying on the mattress and should have it paid off in less than a month. I already switched my account to the Lease to Own option. Couldn't be happier with the lease to own option from Progressive Leasing.

This is for the people curious or skeptical about Progressive Leasing. Ok so back story first. I went to Best Buy, got denied for their credit card, and so basically they said there was also a leasing option where they don't go by your credit score. So I ended up choosing the Progressive Leasing. I was feeling so good about it because I wanted this camera Bad, and didn't have $1,300 to pay for it. So now I'm happy and will have it paid off soon, so thank you Progressive I am enjoying the Amazing camera. So let me answer the Bugging questions I'm seeing, and explain how this works... I'll leave bullet points. Here goes.
*Select stores have Progressive Leasing. Best buy, Overstock.Com I hear big lots, Kay Jewelers, Fry's Electronics and more. Not everyone has it. Not every Best Buy or Fry's has it, for example. *You go in and apply, and make SURE you have a work history of I believe 2-3 years, and your bank account info that this money has been going to, and an ID. If you use an account that is not very active, you can be denied! They want to know how often you get paid and roughly how much you get paid BEFORE taxes... *They will ask your social, and Make Sure your debit/credit card MATCHES your name on your id... etc.
*They will give you a credit limit, now with this, you can choose anything you want in the store within that limit. Obviously. And you can get items or 1 item, and you will pay a $85 deposit. Some places charge less. (This deposit is for Progressive. Not sure if it goes towards the product. I don't think it does.) *Ok now you paid deposit, and you have your items. Congratulations. If not, find a friend with active work experience or family that trust between you two.
Payments, and the lease... Here's where it gets good. *You can go to the app, or website for Progressive Leasing, and there create an account using your social. It will show you your balance you owe, (which is the 90 day buyout option), and when your next payment is due. First payment usually isn't due until about 10 days later. They are aiming for your direct deposit from your job. *YOU NEED TO PAY OFF YOUR BALANCE FOR THE ITEM(S) WITHIN 90 DAYS or you will have hella fees to pay. HELLA fees. Now, you have a minimum balance they will automatically withdraw for 1 year! But you can't let this happen!!! This is only the Minimum balance and will NOT cover only 90 days with of payments to have it paid off to avoid the charges...
So you, can go ahead when you're ready and make A payment SOON! So let's say your payment is due in a week... they will withdraw $ how much $ in 1 week from today... You can go ahead and pay that payment down NOW, and it will go towards your payment due date... Ex... Let's say I owe $1,400 for my item... and my next due date is in a week for $115 (Bi weekly). I can make a payment of eh, $20 now... Ok click done. Now, my next payment is now $95. And my early 90 day buyout is now $1,380. So come this bill in a week, it will be less than it Normally would have been, and they will withdraw whatever that is. BUT, WHAT IF I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PAY MY ENTIRE NEXT PAYMENT DUE, NOW (and maybe then some).
Ok so you end up paying that $115 ahead of time... Guess what, you don't have a payment to make until the NEXT bill... that payment will disappear off your account, and the NEXT PAYMENT DUE date will be present. So I HIGHLY recommend you pay as much as you can, because not only will it knock your payments off, it will knock your Total purchase price down, and you need to pay it off in 90 days. It will feel good to make even a small payment, and watch your pay off amount go down. But! If you have only been Paying the minimum payments, you will be paying past the 90 days and will be **. Pay MORE than the minimum payments due. You can make as many payments as many times as you want, and it will keep lowering your buyout. This way once you pay it off inside of 90 days, you will own it.
Here's some extras I learned from using this program... *If you go to a, say Best Buy, get approved for a balance but they don't have the product, they will order it and have it shipped to your house... you choose the shipping option. (First payment is not until about 10 days after you receive the item.) *You can add payment methods. *You can add authorized users.
*If you want to have them automatically take out the Minimum payments, and you Still want to make PAYMENTS separate from this to pay towards the buyout, you have to call and do it over the phone. OTHERWISE, whatever payments you make will go towards your next bill. I like this best because it gives you a chance to not have to worry about the auto draw on next payment. And you can keep knocking back the payments, and pay extra, it ALL GOES TOWARDS YOUR FINAL BUYOUT... *If you want to do a return I believe it is within 14 days, or 10 for a phone etc... go in with receipt or personal info, and you may have to pay a 25% restocking fee! But they will remove the item from your leasing account. That's all guys. I hope I helped.

My early payout option today is $1159.42 (that’s saving me about $600) plus I’ve already paid $788 over the course of 3.5 months. So they stick you for more than twice the price. If it wasn't for this program we couldn't have gotten what we needed. Everything you need to know is literally in the terms and conditions, and your store employee should be able to answer questions about it too. Our associate even warned us that if we didn't pay it within 90 days we would end up paying double the total price from interest. There is also no early payoff penalty either. It's a great option when you need something sooner than later. Just pay attention and make your payments and there won't be a problem.

Well, once I got home and read the contract, I realized I would pay 195.00 2x a month on my payday. Not what I was planning, but I was aware of the 90 day same as cash, which meant anything I paid went to the 1200.00+ some of the fees Progressive imposed. So I did my best to pay it all in the 90 days. We desperately needed new beds, and I didn't have the cash up front. If I had paid the 400.00 a month for the 12 months like they were hoping they would have gotten almost 4800.00 from me. This is predatory practices. They know that people who apply with them have less than perfect credit, and they use that to their advantage.
FOR the most part all the negative reviews are correct. Some may be slightly exaggerated compared to my experience. But I find the negative comments closer to my experience than the positive ones especially since positive reviews can be bought, just keep that in mind. However, if you NEED something... It is an ok thing. Just be aware that you are going to pay 4x the cost of the items you purchase. Plan on the 90 day same as cash option, or wait. My daughter paid the last 500.00 of our beds, so we were not stuck in this situation for long. But, I am a planner. I will NOT USE Progressive Leasing ever again. I used Progressive Leasing for the Purple mattress I have. Let me tell you up front that the company is a rip-off. I was told that my lease would be $63.00 plus tax. I made the payment of $63.13 when I signed the lease. Then after I received the mattress I got an email from Progressive saying that my first payment was due in the amount of $161.08 plus tax of $11.28 = $172.36. First off the amount is not what I thought. Anyway, if you pay this amount for 13 months, you will be paying almost $2000.00.
Here are the problems with this company. 1. They CANNOT charge you extra tax. The original tax should be close to $62.93 if you charge Florida tax at 7%. Utah sales tax at 4.7% is 42.25. However, they are charging tax of $11.28 each and every month for 12 months and the 13th month is tax of $11.27. The total amount Progressive is charging is $146.63. Is that even legal? 2. I know my total amount was $961.93 and that was using Florida tax at 7%. 3. I gave Progressive $63.13 when I signed the lease. WHERE DID THAT MONEY GO? That amount should have been deducted from my original amount leaving me owing Progressive $898.80.
4. This company is totally ripping people off. 5. Progressive is also charging INTEREST. That means it is a loan, not a lease! 6. This is what I have found online: There is no interest. A lease is not a loan. I intend to leave a exceptionally great review for my Purple mattress but I do also intend to warn other people about Progressive. GIANT RIP-OFF!!

Presented with this information, I knew I would pay off in 90 Days! Simple! If you can’t afford to pay off the amount within 90 days. I do not suggest you proceed with the agreement. Remember, there is no credit check! They are taking a risk, therefore taking longer than 90 days would result in them making more money. Yeah I paid a little extra but if you look at what would have happened if I had used a credit card I wouldn't have saved much by the way of interest and the credit card company was not even interested in my issue, giving me late fees. So, yeah you may have to pay a little more but this company don't treat you like you are less than, just because your credit isn't that great.

My experience was very good! It was clear from the beginning that there are three month to buy without interest. They also allow date changing to accommodate the customer, assuring that you're able to make the agreed upon payments. Now, that's just a bit about business, but it's the manner in which you're treated during these discussions is why I am writing this review. Intent, warmth or lack of, are easily recognized over a phone. I have always felt respected and treated with appreciation from the customer service agents. Particularly, Christi, a young lady who is kind, patient, listens well and seeks to make each customer experience "The Best". Understanding policy is one thing, but delivery is everything! We all know or can relate to these words, "You may not remember exactly what was said, but you will remember how you're made to feel".
Others were great in how they spoke with me also, but Christi's true heart was in both conversations that she had with me. I was impressed with her kind demeanor. Yes, I called and asked questions to assure I understood all expectations! Not once did anyone treat me as an unappreciated client, but as someone they started out wanting to help and would help throughout my three month experience, and they did! If you want a good deal, wait until you know that within 3 months you can keep your word and commitment to Progressive, but equally as important, to yourself. That will give you both a great deal and a great experience. Progressive rescued me in a yacht, and not in a canoe! Thanks for everything.

If you are smart, you will read up on this company and run the other way. If you buy something for $500, you will be paying $2500 when it is all said and done. You will not find this out until months later when you think you might be close to paid off, only to find out you owe another year of payments. The salespeople will not allow you to see the contract you are signing electronically. You will be tricked, I promise. If a place of business says they use Progressive Leasing, they have been well trained at scamming customers!! Do your research.

I have now used Progressive Leasing three separate occasions. Each time has been pleasant and I have had no problems. Each time I have kept my purchases to the 90-day payoff and have been able to pay off without any problem. If you read the negative reviews on here take them with a grain of salt. A few of them are complaining about the quality of the product they purchased but at the end of the day the product is not from Progressive. It is from a retailer. Progressive just finances it for you.

I had a previous lease with this company and had paid it off in full. I try to get a lease on another item and get the big middle finger from them. Then when I call to confront them and demand that they give me the lease they are closed. If I find out they lied and pulled a credit report I will sue them for everything they have for false advertising. So here it is Progressive Scamming. Give me what I should be able to get or I will see you in court and you will be closed down!

I was needing to change my payment dates. Not a problem at all. Was just a quick call and confirmation and that was it. The payments were changed to where I needed them to be. Very polite and to the point. Great customer service.

Hi all! I just want to come here with a positive review. I almost did not use this company because of the hundreds of negative reviews. However, I went with it anyway. I used Progressive Leasing to buy a new mattress from mattress firm. I chose for the 90 day option. If you choose this option, you need to understand how it works. You make weekly payments. Payment amount is based on the total purchase price of the item you're purchasing/leasing. As long as you make these payments you will pay purchase price at the 90 day mark. If not, the price will double. You have gone past the 90 days. So now, you're paying purchase price AND lease price.
As long as you understand it and the business you are leasing the item from explains it completely and correctly, it should be fine. What I dislike is that the first paperwork I got in the mail said nothing about my 90 day choice. I called Progressive and they helped me understand and set up my payment schedule. It was exactly what I expected. Good experience overall.

I opted for the 90 day buy out instead of the full lease so I wouldn’t pay double. I called the day before the 90 days was up and asked if I could pay the remaining balance of $836. I was put on hold for three minutes then told I could pay it off no problem. Since payment wouldn’t post for three days I figured she would say no but she said YES! I was so happy! Amazing customer service. I would highly recommend!

Progressive Leasing is a horrible company. They deny your payments and then harass you day and night about the money you already gave them and I have only had the table a few days before the chairs that came with it started breaking. Needless to say as soon as I'm done paying them off I will never use them again.

I purchased a laptop for school, did not have the cash up front to get the nice one I wanted. I came across Leaseville.com, did some research and decided to use this option. The computer was sent brand new from Best Buy, the price was only $200.00 more than if I walked into Best Buy and purchased straight through them which I was ok with since I had a few months to pay off. They do have to make some money. They were extremely helpful from beginning to end. Ask lots of questions & be 100% clear & understanding of what you are signing up for!
They are very upfront on what their terms are, will answer as many questions as you have about the lease & terms before you sign. Only use this service if you are able to pay off in the 90 days. Otherwise you do pay double! Which is extremely clear in the lease agreement you sign. They do debit your account until you pay it off, but again they do not do anything without prior authorization, and they send you pre warnings of what is coming out & when. Will definitely use this service again.

I was accepted for Progressive Leasing (PL) and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with them so far. I was able to purchase a 14k Rose gold ring guard enhancer from “Unending Love” via Overstock. All I had to do was pay the initial payment of $49 (pre-tax) and use my debit card that I will be using for future payments. I know some people on here have had negative experiences with PL but if you just read your lease agreement, you’ll understand more of what is expected of you.
I opted to pay via the early buy out 90 days and pay it off. I also was able to get a phenomenal price/deal on my ring. All in all I’m a happy camper and I would’ve not been able to pay off my ring in one payment, we’re it not for PL and being accepted for a good amount at that. So, thank you Progressive Leasing!! I feel truly blessed and grateful to be able to pay off my purchases with PL.

I am very disappointed with Progressive Leasing. Not only do they dishonor what one truly wants to buy but they debit one's bank account which causes penalties and overdraft fees. I paid off an account with them a few months back and wanted a blue sapphire ring. Progressive wouldn't honor my request and then I had to settle for something cheap. Then they recently debited my bank account even after I told the representative I couldn't make the payment which caused my account to have a negative balance and overdraft fees. Now I have to repay the bank those fees.

Customer service has always been great, I've never had any issues. They always go out of their way to help you or to ensure you're approved. Like previously mentioned, you won't have any issues if you pay off your lease before the 90 days which is well presented before you start your lease. Whenever possible, I'll use this company.

I have bought a ring at Zales. I used the 90 day payoff with them. If you pay it off before the 90 you won’t have a problem. Very easy. If you don’t plan on paying it off before the 90 day then you should not get what you’re about to get. Be financially smart and don’t pay double for something. I believe if you go past 90 days you will literally pay double as stated in the lease. Don’t do that.

I bought my impressions vanity from The Furniture Spot Sacramento. The total was $1200. Initially my payments were automatically set at $50 weekly until I called and changed it to $100 weekly and paid it off during the 90 day period. Pay it off in 90 days period. Most of the people complaining didn’t choose the 90 day buyout option. My vanity would have indeed been $2400 had I not paid it off in 90 days.

I feel like this company is very discriminative towards people. It shouldn't matter if a person has a prepaid checking account. Because I have a prepaid checking account and mind you, I have a routing and account number associated with it in which that was a requirement. I got declined because it wasn't a traditional account which doesn't make any sense.
When I spoke with a sales person from Cricket wireless, I was advised that it didn't matter as long as I had a routing and account number along with a debit card associated with the account I would qualify for the phone lease program. I will be filing a discrimination lawsuit on this company. Not everyone can get a traditional checking account. I do have one in which I don't have a debit card associated with that one. And because of that, I didn't qualify!!! What the heck!!! I wouldn't recommend anyone wasting their time with these people because they are going to turn you away. I spoke with my attorney who stated that this is an act of discrimination towards those who are not fortunate enough to have a traditional bank account.

It's quite clear reading these reviews that people don't understand what they're signing up for. This company is the same as any lease to own company, if you don't pay it off in so and so time, you're going to pay more. Thus far I have changed my scheduled payment, paid extra, and have never had a problem with their customer service department. They're always friendly and quick to make any changes. I applied for my merchandise (a laptop) over the phone quickly and easily. Everything is emailed to me, and the entire process is electronic. They spell out the terms very concisely in your original paperwork. I'm on track for a 90 day buyout option, and I won't pay price and a half because I understand how to read paperwork. If you've made it through life this far and can't read simple terms and conditions, that is not the fault of the company.

I was very hesitant to use this company. I had heard through the grapevine that this company wasn't stellar, but I really wanted a Xidax computer, and Progressive Leasing was the only way I could finance. Took a risk and it paid off. Yes the interest is high, but a good thing is that they always offer early buyout. When I finally took the offer for early buyout I saved over 200 dollars. I had automatic payments and never had a problem. They even gladly adjusted the automatic payments when I called them three days in advance that I would like to monthly payment later in the month. Every month they redrew the exact amount, not a penny more, not any less. Any time I had questions and called they responded helpfully. All in all a great experience that was able to get me something I wouldn't have had otherwise.

I purchased some furniture from Ashley through Progressive in May. After an unforeseen financial problem, I decided to return the furniture in August. It is the middle of SEPTEMBER and they have yet to pick it up. I have been waiting for them to pick it up for a month. They have scheduled for different pickup dates and haven't shown for any of them.
Today was the 4th scheduled pickup. Every time I call, they say that it isn't in their system for a pickup, but they continue to charge me for every payment I don't pay. Also, after the 90 day option expired, I now owe $2,300 for furniture that was only $700 to begin with. I lost it on the phone with them today and basically said this was my last attempt at trying to return it through them. DON'T DEAL WITH THEM! Please find another company. They are not worth the hassle and headache. It shouldn't be this hard to return things. If I was trying to keep their furniture and not pay, they would already be at my door. I'm just fed up with this company!

We purchased some furniture from Big Lots during a promotion where the initial payment was only $1.07. Get home to set up the payments and 49 dollars had been added to the price of the furniture set for the rest of the initial payment which we were NEVER informed of by any employee. It is not even in the leasing agreement that we owe an additional amount. When I called customer service he basically said I had to pay the extra money and could not explain why. No one can explain to me why I have to pay extra from lack of communication from the store and leasing company to their customers They do not explicitly outline pricing in their leasing agreement. I am extremely dissatisfied with this company and will never do this again nor recommend that someone use them.

Just found out there is a clause where I must opt out. Salesman was unaware. Needless to say, I got $500 worth of crap I didn't need (and some didn't work) and paid Progressive over $1200!!! They cover up their ridiculous fees by calling them "cost of leasing" to keep from being sued for charging over 100% interest rates. They should be ashamed of themselves. I was dumb for going through them but promise it will never happen again. People work hard for their money and it's a shame we have companies out there who function like this one.

I had a gentleman call me from Progressive Leasing customer service today. They were concerend that I wasnt properly informed about the 90 day payout option and the financial impact that would occur if I didn't pay off my balance within the 90 days.
They are going to implement more training to ensure that their retail clients and employes' better help clients understand the lease agreement better.
They informed me they will be issuing a refund for the amount I was charged that exceeded my purchase price, do to the fact I wasnt properly informed about the lease agreement.
I am giving 5 stars for the excellent customer service and compassion the company showed with helping resolve this matter.

Please take the reviews seriously, it will save you a lot of money. It is very true, if you don't pay the full amount of your purchase within in 90 days they will double the price of your actual purchase. Companies should not recommend their clients to use such a shady business to finance their purchase. I purchased from Mattress Firm and they recommended Progressive Leasing for my purchase. I take full responsibility that I should of read the contract in more detail. I have paid for my error.
I will never go to Mattress Firm again for setting me up for a scam, they didn't care what happened to me after the purchase. I have done furniture purchases with Ashley furniture and had to finance my furniture, they use a company called Synchrony Bank for financing. I am almost done with this account and the whole process went smoothly. So, there are other honest companies out there to finance purchases. Companies should be more responsible who they recommend their customers use when trying to finance a purchase. Mattress Firm will never get my business again for sending me to a crook.
