I used this program with Cricket to purchase a phone during the holiday season. I was planning to space out transactions on my debit and credit cards, as I’m also going through a home buying process. Because cricket doesn’t have an option to pay on the phone monthly they introduced me to Progressive Leasing. Cricket needs to do a better job with training their representatives to properly explain all costs and risks associated with Progressive Leasing and the price difference if they just purchase the phone directly with Cricket.
I gave 3 stars because it’s not Progressive Leasing's fault that Cricket didn’t explain all the ins and outs BUT the program itself seems like a rip off to me. I was naive and became onboard when I found out there was no interest as long as I pay off before 90 days but little did I know they tack on tax! And depending on how big of a lump sum you pay towards your lease that tax can range between 5 and 40 bucks. I was under the impression that they would purchase the cash value of the phone and any tax accrued once they bought it from cricket and then just allow me to pay it off with no penalties.
Taxes will hurt you in the end and be sure to pay off before 90 days because the payment plan they set up for you will cause you to end up DOUBLE for the product you’re trying to buy. Even with the 90 day option I would opt to pay in 80 days instead because it takes them some days to process your payments. I understand everyone doesn’t have the credit to purchase things, but if possible borrow from a trusted relative or friend or just pay with a credit card or just chalk it up and pay upfront if you can because that extra 100-200 bucks or thousands (if you don’t do the 90 day option) double be used towards something else! BEWARE OF ALLLL THE COSTS and ask questions. Just don’t take people’s word for it no matter how excited and “knowledgeable" (really overconfident) they seem.

I had a difficult time in past for getting credit approval for iphone and tires, but my family told me trying to apply through Progressive Leasing with my current income. At first, I didn't believe it bc I got a decline from Snap Financial, but I listened to my family anyway. At the Tires Store, the staff helped me with the application and I got approval more than $1,500 when 4 tires were $500 included service fee and 4 wheels alignment. I feel blessed for that.
So, I have 3 months to pay back without a fee or a additional charge. I feel so good abt that. For people, who may experience a difficult time to pay off within 3 months, just talk to ProLeasing staff to work it out for your payment plan. Thanksgiving is coming, I want to say "thanks much" to the Tires Store and ProLeasing, who assisted and provided me with your helps and supports as well. IT REALLY MADE MY LIFE EASIER THAN WITHOUT????

I went to my phone carrier and got a new iPhone. The receipt said the cost of the phone was 750$. They said, "You can work out a payment plan with a new lender." It all happened really quick. Because I have done this before at my store I didn’t think too much about it. These people are total sharks. If you don’t pay the 750$ balance off within three months they take the price of the phone and times it by three and then put you in a payment plan for 18 months and mind you they automatically deduct payments from you every two weeks from your checking account. By the time I realized I have already paid them almost 900$ they told me I would have to continue making payments for another year or do the buy out option of $500. I did the buy out option so I didn’t have to continue making $160 a month payments for another year. PLEASE do not use them. This is the worst type of loan you can get into. They should be stopped from doing business.
Oh and they claim it is not a loan .... it is a lease. I could have just given the phone back after I already had $900 in it. These people suck. All and all they wanted to charge me over $2100 for a phone that was $750. I’ve honestly never heard of such a thing and still don’t think this is legal. Luckily this was a smaller purchase. With larger ones this could really mess people up.

I have had an online login with Wayfair for some years with my maiden name. On Oct. 11 2019 I placed an order online with wayfair, I opted to use Progressive Leasing as I have leased with them in the past. I used my credit card in my now married name for the down payment which was approved for $1048.90. I was approved with Progressive leasing. I received emails from both wayfair and progressive that the order was successful. The next day I called wayfair and progressive leasing as online my account was showing each item I ordered was cancelled. I was then told my wayfair account was flagged for fraud. I assume my married name vs my maiden name, who knows. Nobody can tell you.
I was told to order something with my credit card, wait 30 days and try the lease again. Which I created a new account with my married information and ordered a spatula with the intent to wait and give them another try. I then spent days on the phone going back and forth between progressive leasing and wayfair to get the lease stopped being I wasn't getting anything I ordered. I was assured that My initial payment would be returned to me.
11/14/19 I received a call from Progressive leasing collection team demanding a payment by Rose. I was told Wayfair sent an invoice in the amount of $904.94, when the total of the initial order was $1048.90. Mind you I have never received anything, I was denied the option to the order. Now I'm responsible for paying the difference. Not to mention the time I've taken from my family and worked to resolve this. It's yet to be resolved. I will not be using Progressive Leasing again. Nobody is willing to help, they spoke with wayfair directly weeks ago and I was assured my down payment would be returned, now I'm being told I have to pay.

Progressive leasing lets you get what you need without the hassle of credit checks and the act of Congress to get approved. You have a few options to pay it off without interest or make minimal payments until complete. Customer service is great. This is my second lease and never second guessed myself. Very easy to work with. Thank you progressive.

I know that the fact that I don’t have good credit that I will be paying more for things to get financing, that is something I have come to terms with. I used them a few years ago to buy a computer and I was happy with the outcome. I borrowed $700 the first time (that is all that I was approved for) and it covered the cost of what I wanted. I still have the computer and now I’m buying a brand new one and I was approved for $1875 (won’t spend that much, lol). I think I got approved for more money because I went through my first contract without missing any payments.
After the 1st computer was paid for I haven’t had any issues with them charging me money or anything. They still had my checking account info because when I did my second application the account info was already populated. I have never had to contact them except when I Had a problem setting up my online account. I love that they are here for those of us that have credit problems. And paying more to borrow because of bad credit is a fact of life that everyone needs to come to grips with. If you deleted all of the “they charge too much” bad ratings they would probably have 99% 5 star ratings.

I opted to use the 90 same as cash program, only to find out they WILL NOT allow you to delete your banking info or credit cards, even after the account is PAID IN FULL! They continue to charge you hoping that you won't catch on. When you do, they act like it was a simple mistake and say they will reimburse you. I finally had to cancel my credit cards and change my bank in order to ensure Progressive no longer had access to any of my account. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!

They are purely a greedy company that does not want to help you with bad credit. They are going to exploit your bad credit. Whether it is a wedding ring that you want to purchase, or furniture, cell phone, car tires, etc., they are going to approve you for an amount that they know that you can not pay back in 90 days, and 1200 will turn into double that. They know how much you make and they want you to take the bait, pure evil! And so what I did was used only a small portion of what I was approved for, and paid them back in 2 weeks.
I know it’s a great feeling to get approved and get what you need, and pay back later, but if you do not read your contract you will regret it, and they don’t care it’s strictly business suckers. The lesson here is if you can’t pay back quickly don’t do it! Ohh by the way you will be paying a huge amount by weekly, and if you did the read the contract you will either pay double the amount you we’re approved for or you better go to a personal loan company to get the money to pay them back or your screwed. To them you are uneducated and, you have no comprehension of interest rates of at 150 percent. Go without stop making these crooks rich!

Well, I must say it is not often that I have to pull my foot out of my mouth, but here we are. I was contacted by Progressive Leasing after I posted my review and they were extremely helpful in resolving my perceived issue with prior day billing. David in Customer Resolution was apologetic and helped steer me in the right direction regarding the payment posting with my bank. I am truly satisfied with the outcome and he and his staff have changed my perception of the company. I understood the interest rate applicable to my purchase but he explained in detail how the prior day posting is just an advisory that payment would be processed as scheduled and went on to let me know that the company is always willing to assist with restructuring the payment dates if other concerns arose. Thank you, Progressive Leasing!

This morning I received an alert saying the payment for my furniture was being processed. Today is the 24th. My scheduled payments are on the 11th and 25th. This is unacceptable. Why have a scheduled payment processed the day before it is due??? Kinda defeats the purpose of setting the payment. I hope this does not create an overdraft on my account as this is the account I use for such billing and this prior day processing WAS NOT AUTHORIZED. I will be returning this merchandise and cancelling my contract since Progressive has defaulted on the terms. Who does this???

Yes, it's very easy to qualify which can be exciting for a lot of people with bad credit. What this is is predatory lending. They will charge you thousands of dollars on your purchases. I had 900 worth of product I leased, and by the end of my terms, I was being charged $2400.00. This company takes advantage of the fact that their renters are subprime borrowers, and capitalizes that, which is business, I get it. But the rates they charge to lend are out of control.

I ended with a lease from this company through Cricket Wireless. I was approved for $1500 but only used about $900. I asked how much my payments were going to be and they said we would go over that after everything is finalized. I was then told my payments were going to be $83.00 BUT I was not told that was biweekly! They gave me the contract and sent me on my way. Looking over it I then see that after making payments for 12 months I would be paying a total of $2,000!!! For a $700 phone! They get you by saying there is NO interest and then tell you there is a leasing fee. Well the fee is which is more than the amount originally used.

He stated last rep set up incorrect payment amount and should not have set it up for the length of time she did so I asked him what need to be done to correct. He tells me no way to correct it, it will just show you late but not really late. None of these people have customer service skills.

Their computer system is absolutely horrible. Sometimes random payments get sent out that I didn't authorize. When I ask for these charges to be stopped, I am told that they were stopped. They still go through anyways. When I ask for them to be refunded, the person who I'm on the phone with refunds them to the wrong card. I have had a great experience up until three weeks ago. On August 9, 2019, I took a bill consolidation loan out with my bank to pay off some bills. I had two accounts with them and the big account which was over $400 was paid and finalized. Now I have this other account that is a year old that had only $60 left to pay off. My bank sent out checks to pay off the balances and they were sent out in the same envelope. My bank has said that both checks were cashed the same day. So what went on? They are still trying to collect money from me and just got a call today from them saying they are attempting to collect a debt. I have been trying to find out what happened for two weeks and just this past week they said they would refund what I paid above what I owe. Today, none of that is in any notes on my account and it's like I'm back to the drawing board with them. I've had enough and I'm ready to speak to an attorney. I don't know what else to do.

I would like to know if someone has had the same experience or not. I purchased furniture with Progressive Leasing and last week I had scheduled a payment to pay off the remaining balance. My payments come out automatically biweekly with my pay periods so I would think I would schedule my payment on the 16th when I got paid. I am now realizing that I completely think they scammed me and had my payment bounce back because the payment came out on the 15th!!! Why would I schedule something to come out a day before I got paid.
The other fishy thing was that I went back to check my payment confirmation email (from Progressive) and it reads "Your account with us is PAID IN FULL* (This letter is void if any payment bounces or is returned unpaid.)" Fishy fishy fishy. I will be looking for anything that will tell me when I actually scheduled the payment to come out. I in no way think I made the mistake of scheduling it to come out a day early knowing when I was going to be paid. Funny this happens when I was going to close the account with them also.

This is a great company. I am surprised at all of the bad reviews. I used Progressive Leasing to finance Furniture. My roommate moved out on me and I end up having to pay for rent and wasn't able to pay my furniture. I have 3 kids and was a single mom at the time. 2 years has passed and this company does not report to the credit bureaus. They did not harass me about payment. They only contact me with emails. Once a year offering a settlement. 3 years later I'm just now paying and they still offered me a settlement paying only 45% of what I actually owned. This is a company that has the right to obtain what you borrow from them but they still work with you anyway. I am extremely grateful. I am currently on a payment plan and am only paying 640 of 1320 that I owe. I don't believe that it's Progressive Leasing is the issue. I think it's the vendors that they allow to use their program that is mishandling business.

Progressive Leasing was easily the least stressful extended payment plan I’ve ever used, aside from a credit card. As long as you use the 90 day option you are golden. I’ve checked other sites with negative reviews, and they all seem to boil down to, “I didn’t pay off my item within 90 days and now I’m very angry at myself, but taking it out on the company, instead.” Every interaction I’ve had with Progressive has been smooth and easy, their customer service was friendly, and their responses prompt. I used their app to get pre approved before going in to the store which made it that much easier and quick.

However, I went online and paid it off, at approximately the two month mark. The total was less than the contract, but the contract states that early pay off was 65% of remaining balance of the 90 day payoff option. Anyway, I paid it in full. I did not receive any more deductions from my debit card. Not attempts on my checking which they have on file as well. Almost 2.5 months goes by, I get an email saying my contract 798 has been completed and my first payment will begin for July. I look at the lease and it's for the same item I purchased six months prior and paid in full.
I call and this is what they tell me: That the system apply sales tax and that I have to pay the entire additional $798. The item I purchased is in no way worth $1600!!! I bought an iPhone XR. I tried to explain that I paid this, got the paid in full email and the account was zero for the last 2.5 months. Do you think they listened? Nope!!! So I had to change my bank details. They don't report to credit bureaus, according to internet. I can't seem to find if they sue or not. I have a feeling that I will end up in small claims over this matter. Congrats... I purchased an item. A bit short on funds, I elected to use Progressive Leasing. After paying the full balance well before the 90 day mark, I asked the firm if they'd be so kind to include the true statement on any correspondence that I had paid the balance off even faster or better than the terms call for. They would not and that's a shame. It would have been an easy way to help a customer improve credit, a bit of good will via a simple true statement.
I do feel they abided by their terms, as did I, so I have no dispute with them in that respect. It seemed to me that they keep their fee as quiet as possible, almost making it seem as if there is no interest or price to be paid when the amount owing is paid in the first 90 days. Not so, the add-on fee amounted to roughly 10% of the purchase price. Now I read the full lease agreement and it was worth it to me to pay that. I just think folks would be well-advised to dig into their own agreement. The amount the consumer must pay will grow massively if they go 1 day beyond the 90 day mark. And in my experience, you'll unfortunately get little courtesy from this firm.

We will have paid over $5700 for a $2699 set of earrings if we continue with the lease. Had we known we would definitely have chosen the 90 day option. Please know the TOTAL cost before choosing to purchase through Progressive Leasing.

Most of everything in my home was furnished through Big Lots using their Progressive Leasing Program. I have always used their 90 day option, and has had ZERO problems, but, I have to say that you MUST call them and ask for the 90 day option. I am not including names or amounts for privacy. Ok first off, I read my contract. I knew what I was signing. I used a different company like this before with the exact same terms a couple years ago and I completed the 90 day buyout so I knew what I was getting into. You have to make sure you select "90 day buyout" when you make your payment and not just the regular payment. HOWEVER, when I did this, it showed me the buyout amount which I paid. Two days later it showed an additional buyout amount. I emailed Progressive asking them to send me a PIF letter and they said no, I owed yet; another amount different from what I paid and what was on their site.
I called and the rep said sometimes they give different buyout amounts as incentives but they don't honor online payments same day. I would have had to call. Then she said I would have had to use a card and not bank. It says nothing about any of this on their site. I made it quite clear this seems fraudulent since I paid what it showed on their site and they keep saying there are different 90 day payoff incentives, even now it shows a different amount than what they say was my balance according to contract. She did close my account and email me a PIF letter. I hope I will not run into any problems because the website shows my next payment to be drafted 6 months from now.
I asked about this and was told don't worry about it, no more payments will be drafted as long as my current payment is considered cleared by them. I'm going to be watching very closely. I never had this kind of trouble with the other company that I used. I will be talking to Best Buy corporate and recommending, for the good of their customers, that they change companies. I know that beggars can't be choosers with bad credit, but my credit is bad after a bad marriage and divorce. I am college educated, and I feel that Progressive seemingly tried to do something that would escape most educated people.
I understand contract terms, but don't offer online "lower payment" incentives if you do not intend to honor them. People think they are done and then get surprised by additional interest and payments later that they weren't expecting. It may not be your intention, but it looks like you are doing it to catch people off guard this way so they go beyond their 90 day option. At very least I encourage that below your 90 day purchase option, you state that 90 day payoff payments have to be made by card by phone that day to be honored, and not online that day.

Long story short if you don’t opt for the 90-day buyout option they get you by doubling the cost of the initial purchase e.g. $50 item is now $100. I purchased through Big Lots. THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE the high interest rate nor did Progressive. It was not until I downloaded the app and read the terms, but it’s obviously too late. However the app does state that there is no interest. THIS IS A LIE.

I paid a 50 dollar application fee or lease fee that was non refundable and my payments were 92 every 2 weeks. Paid up to my 90 day buyout and paid it off. I see all of these nasty reviews about paying double. If you do not do 90 day buyout then you are going to pay double for your purchase. That is just how it is. They are not scamming you. It is like going into Aaron’s or Rent-A-Center. If you pay within buyout period then it's way cheaper. I would recommend to anyone.

So the key to using this company is to 1) opt for a 90-day lease agreement and 2) understand it has to be paid off before or on the due date. The 90-day lease is cheaper than acquiring those high-interest fees but IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, YOU SHOULDN'T BE BUYING IT. Please take that into consideration when purchasing for wants, not needs. Anywho, so let's say the agreement is 90 days for $900, your biweekly payments should be about $150. But understand that the tax on that payment is not included in the payoff so the actual amount is more like 140. 6 weeks of payments of 140 is 840, not 900.
This is where I think the misunderstanding of payments is. Ok, so now it comes to the deadline for the 900 and you have payments coming out through direct deposit. All you need is 60 to pay it off so it shouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong! Typically that takes to 2-3 days to take money out of a checking or savings. This is how people miss their deadlines. That 60 should be paid off before the last day of agreement not on it. Basically, pay the last amount due over the span of the agreement as you pay the biweekly payments and you shouldn't have a problem.

Had moved into a new apartment with my wife last September. We needed a new couch and had looked at Big Lots. I just started a new job so I didn't have the cash to fork down on a brand new cash although I could afford bi weekly payments. Big Lots had told me about the lease to own option which allows me to purchase the couch within 90 days of the start of my lease. I was on board and went with that option, fast forward a month... They do not really tell you to switch to the Lease to Own option unless you ask or are already aware of this option. I looked into the account and found that the total cost of the couch was way more than what I was supposed to pay. I give them a call and have my account switched to the Lease to Own, after 3 months I had the couch paid off.
About 4 months later, I needed a new mattress. Knowing how expensive mattresses could be I was looking at an affordable one. I went to Mattress Firm and found the mattress I liked. After discussing with the salesperson, I found that the mattress I wanted was nearly $800 after everything is said and done. I found out through the salesperson that Progressive Leasing was an option and having already went with them for the couch I purchased I decided to do it again. I've been paying on the mattress and should have it paid off in less than a month. I already switched my account to the Lease to Own option. Couldn't be happier with the lease to own option from Progressive Leasing.

This is for the people curious or skeptical about Progressive Leasing. Ok so back story first. I went to Best Buy, got denied for their credit card, and so basically they said there was also a leasing option where they don't go by your credit score. So I ended up choosing the Progressive Leasing. I was feeling so good about it because I wanted this camera Bad, and didn't have $1,300 to pay for it. So now I'm happy and will have it paid off soon, so thank you Progressive I am enjoying the Amazing camera. So let me answer the Bugging questions I'm seeing, and explain how this works... I'll leave bullet points. Here goes.
*Select stores have Progressive Leasing. Best buy, Overstock.Com I hear big lots, Kay Jewelers, Fry's Electronics and more. Not everyone has it. Not every Best Buy or Fry's has it, for example. *You go in and apply, and make SURE you have a work history of I believe 2-3 years, and your bank account info that this money has been going to, and an ID. If you use an account that is not very active, you can be denied! They want to know how often you get paid and roughly how much you get paid BEFORE taxes... *They will ask your social, and Make Sure your debit/credit card MATCHES your name on your id... etc.
*They will give you a credit limit, now with this, you can choose anything you want in the store within that limit. Obviously. And you can get items or 1 item, and you will pay a $85 deposit. Some places charge less. (This deposit is for Progressive. Not sure if it goes towards the product. I don't think it does.) *Ok now you paid deposit, and you have your items. Congratulations. If not, find a friend with active work experience or family that trust between you two.
Payments, and the lease... Here's where it gets good. *You can go to the app, or website for Progressive Leasing, and there create an account using your social. It will show you your balance you owe, (which is the 90 day buyout option), and when your next payment is due. First payment usually isn't due until about 10 days later. They are aiming for your direct deposit from your job. *YOU NEED TO PAY OFF YOUR BALANCE FOR THE ITEM(S) WITHIN 90 DAYS or you will have hella fees to pay. HELLA fees. Now, you have a minimum balance they will automatically withdraw for 1 year! But you can't let this happen!!! This is only the Minimum balance and will NOT cover only 90 days with of payments to have it paid off to avoid the charges...
So you, can go ahead when you're ready and make A payment SOON! So let's say your payment is due in a week... they will withdraw $ how much $ in 1 week from today... You can go ahead and pay that payment down NOW, and it will go towards your payment due date... Ex... Let's say I owe $1,400 for my item... and my next due date is in a week for $115 (Bi weekly). I can make a payment of eh, $20 now... Ok click done. Now, my next payment is now $95. And my early 90 day buyout is now $1,380. So come this bill in a week, it will be less than it Normally would have been, and they will withdraw whatever that is. BUT, WHAT IF I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PAY MY ENTIRE NEXT PAYMENT DUE, NOW (and maybe then some).
Ok so you end up paying that $115 ahead of time... Guess what, you don't have a payment to make until the NEXT bill... that payment will disappear off your account, and the NEXT PAYMENT DUE date will be present. So I HIGHLY recommend you pay as much as you can, because not only will it knock your payments off, it will knock your Total purchase price down, and you need to pay it off in 90 days. It will feel good to make even a small payment, and watch your pay off amount go down. But! If you have only been Paying the minimum payments, you will be paying past the 90 days and will be **. Pay MORE than the minimum payments due. You can make as many payments as many times as you want, and it will keep lowering your buyout. This way once you pay it off inside of 90 days, you will own it.
Here's some extras I learned from using this program... *If you go to a, say Best Buy, get approved for a balance but they don't have the product, they will order it and have it shipped to your house... you choose the shipping option. (First payment is not until about 10 days after you receive the item.) *You can add payment methods. *You can add authorized users.
*If you want to have them automatically take out the Minimum payments, and you Still want to make PAYMENTS separate from this to pay towards the buyout, you have to call and do it over the phone. OTHERWISE, whatever payments you make will go towards your next bill. I like this best because it gives you a chance to not have to worry about the auto draw on next payment. And you can keep knocking back the payments, and pay extra, it ALL GOES TOWARDS YOUR FINAL BUYOUT... *If you want to do a return I believe it is within 14 days, or 10 for a phone etc... go in with receipt or personal info, and you may have to pay a 25% restocking fee! But they will remove the item from your leasing account. That's all guys. I hope I helped.

If it wasn't for this program we couldn't have gotten what we needed. Everything you need to know is literally in the terms and conditions, and your store employee should be able to answer questions about it too. Our associate even warned us that if we didn't pay it within 90 days we would end up paying double the total price from interest. There is also no early payoff penalty either. Well, once I got home and read the contract, I realized I would pay 195.00 2x a month on my payday. Not what I was planning, but I was aware of the 90 day same as cash, which meant anything I paid went to the 1200.00+ some of the fees Progressive imposed. So I did my best to pay it all in the 90 days. We desperately needed new beds, and I didn't have the cash up front. If I had paid the 400.00 a month for the 12 months like they were hoping they would have gotten almost 4800.00 from me. This is predatory practices. They know that people who apply with them have less than perfect credit, and they use that to their advantage.
FOR the most part all the negative reviews are correct. Some may be slightly exaggerated compared to my experience. But I find the negative comments closer to my experience than the positive ones especially since positive reviews can be bought, just keep that in mind. However, if you NEED something... It is an ok thing. Just be aware that you are going to pay 4x the cost of the items you purchase. Plan on the 90 day same as cash option, or wait. My daughter paid the last 500.00 of our beds, so we were not stuck in this situation for long. But, I am a planner. I will NOT USE Progressive Leasing ever again. I used Progressive Leasing for the Purple mattress I have. Let me tell you up front that the company is a rip-off. I was told that my lease would be $63.00 plus tax. I made the payment of $63.13 when I signed the lease. Then after I received the mattress I got an email from Progressive saying that my first payment was due in the amount of $161.08 plus tax of $11.28 = $172.36. First off the amount is not what I thought. Anyway, if you pay this amount for 13 months, you will be paying almost $2000.00.
Here are the problems with this company. 1. They CANNOT charge you extra tax. The original tax should be close to $62.93 if you charge Florida tax at 7%. Utah sales tax at 4.7% is 42.25. However, they are charging tax of $11.28 each and every month for 12 months and the 13th month is tax of $11.27. The total amount Progressive is charging is $146.63. Is that even legal? 2. I know my total amount was $961.93 and that was using Florida tax at 7%. 3. I gave Progressive $63.13 when I signed the lease. WHERE DID THAT MONEY GO? That amount should have been deducted from my original amount leaving me owing Progressive $898.80.
4. This company is totally ripping people off. 5. Progressive is also charging INTEREST. That means it is a loan, not a lease! 6. This is what I have found online: There is no interest. A lease is not a loan. I intend to leave a exceptionally great review for my Purple mattress but I do also intend to warn other people about Progressive. GIANT RIP-OFF!!

Presented with this information, I knew I would pay off in 90 Days! Simple! If you can’t afford to pay off the amount within 90 days. I do not suggest you proceed with the agreement. Remember, there is no credit check! They are taking a risk, therefore taking longer than 90 days would result in them making more money. First of all never electronically sign for something not seen. I was told I would receive an email of the agreement after I signed but the only thing that showed up was that I signed electronically. Wow! They gave me the 90 day payoff through payments. Never would have amounted to the price needed to pay off. Which in turn set me up for another year of payments. In all I paid well over $2000 for a $599 dollar laptop. They also denied me an insurance claim when it was damaged. Terrible, cold-hearted people at Progressive Leasing.

I've had a lease with them for a ring I bought. I paid on time every week for almost a year. When I was 4 payments away from being paid off, I went on the website to make my final payment. (Early Christmas present for me) AFTER I made the payment, and it told me that payment would pay me off in full. The website told me I still have to pay my next payment scheduled also. I then called customer service to get it straightened out, and they basically told me there's nothing they can do. I talked to Bill, the supervisor, and he actually huffed on the phone while I was explaining what was going on. Then, told me that I had to pay. There was absolutely nothing he could do.
When I started telling him about the website not confirming payments, he actually interrupted me and then offered me a discount (I've now been on the phone with them for 40 minutes, and told him that.) and told me he didn't want me to be on the phone any longer. He didn't even want to hear what I had to say. Very rude. If I'd have been a bad customer, or a terrible payer, I could've seen the attitude, but I wasn't. Definitely do not recommend.

I went to Repair Republic in Dallas, TX to have them fix my broken MacBook Pro, when I noticed that they had computers for sale (new and used). I asked about pricing and found that I didn't have the money to buy one just yet until the repair guy told me about Progressive Leasing. The process was quick and easy, took all of 15 minutes for finish the application and the transaction and was out the door. I had no problems with them until I lost my wallet and had to close my bank account due to fraudulent activity and money stolen from my account. During this time I had to wait for the bank to return the stolen money, which seemed like it took forever, with creditors breathing fire down my neck.
I missed 1 payment with them and I called before the payment was missed but didn't have the money (waiting on the bank) They were totally understanding, I gave them all of the documentation (police report and bank statements). They rolled my payment over to the end of the lease, gave a few extra days since I had to deposit paper checks while waiting on my direct deposit, all without any late fees! The customer service person was warm and very sympathetic to my situation. I am now on my second lease, since I paid off my first one last year. Yeah I paid a little extra but if you look at what would have happened if I had used a credit card I wouldn't have saved much by the way of interest and the credit card company was not even interested in my issue, giving me late fees. So, yeah you may have to pay a little more but this company don't treat you like you are less than, just because your credit isn't that great.

My experience was very good! It was clear from the beginning that there are three month to buy without interest. They also allow date changing to accommodate the customer, assuring that you're able to make the agreed upon payments. Now, that's just a bit about business, but it's the manner in which you're treated during these discussions is why I am writing this review. Intent, warmth or lack of, are easily recognized over a phone. I have always felt respected and treated with appreciation from the customer service agents. Particularly, Christi, a young lady who is kind, patient, listens well and seeks to make each customer experience "The Best". Understanding policy is one thing, but delivery is everything! We all know or can relate to these words, "You may not remember exactly what was said, but you will remember how you're made to feel".
Others were great in how they spoke with me also, but Christi's true heart was in both conversations that she had with me. I was impressed with her kind demeanor. Yes, I called and asked questions to assure I understood all expectations! Not once did anyone treat me as an unappreciated client, but as someone they started out wanting to help and would help throughout my three month experience, and they did! If you want a good deal, wait until you know that within 3 months you can keep your word and commitment to Progressive, but equally as important, to yourself. That will give you both a great deal and a great experience. Progressive rescued me in a yacht, and not in a canoe! Thanks for everything.

Hi all! I just want to come here with a positive review. I almost did not use this company because of the hundreds of negative reviews. However, I went with it anyway. I used Progressive Leasing to buy a new mattress from mattress firm. I chose for the 90 day option. If you choose this option, you need to understand how it works. You make weekly payments. Payment amount is based on the total purchase price of the item you're purchasing/leasing. As long as you make these payments you will pay purchase price at the 90 day mark. If not, the price will double. You have gone past the 90 days. So now, you're paying purchase price AND lease price.
As long as you understand it and the business you are leasing the item from explains it completely and correctly, it should be fine. What I dislike is that the first paperwork I got in the mail said nothing about my 90 day choice. I called Progressive and they helped me understand and set up my payment schedule. It was exactly what I expected. Good experience overall.

They do have to make some money. They were extremely helpful from beginning to end. Ask lots of questions & be 100% clear & understanding of what you are signing up for!
They are very upfront on what their terms are, will answer as many questions as you have about the lease & terms before you sign. Only use this service if you are able to pay off in the 90 days. Otherwise you do pay double! Which is extremely clear in the lease agreement you sign. They do debit your account until you pay it off, but again they do not do anything without prior authorization, and they send you pre warnings of what is coming out & when. I got declined because it wasn't a traditional account which doesn't make any sense.
When I spoke with a sales person from Cricket wireless, I was advised that it didn't matter as long as I had a routing and account number along with a debit card associated with the account I would qualify for the phone lease program. Please take the reviews seriously, it will save you a lot of money. It is very true, if you don't pay the full amount of your purchase within in 90 days they will double the price of your actual purchase. Companies should not recommend their clients to use such a shady business to finance their purchase. I purchased from Mattress Firm and they recommended Progressive Leasing for my purchase. I take full responsibility that I should of read the contract in more detail. I have paid for my error.
I will never go to Mattress Firm again for setting me up for a scam, they didn't care what happened to me after the purchase. I have done furniture purchases with Ashley furniture and had to finance my furniture, they use a company called Synchrony Bank for financing. I am almost done with this account and the whole process went smoothly. So, there are other honest companies out there to finance purchases. Companies should be more responsible who they recommend their customers use when trying to finance a purchase. Mattress Firm will never get my business again for sending me to a crook.

Please be very careful when selecting this company. The terms are very misleading. Let me point out what you need to look for. They will get you one way or the other. 1) Your initial in store payment will not be applied to your balance. It basically covers fees only. 2) You will have 2 payment options on file. Your checking account which technically takes 3 days to pull and your debit card which pulls same day. This will make a difference when you’re faced with the 90 day option date. If you are making the payment on the buyout date and use the checking account technically it will not post to your account for approximately 3 days. That’s why they overemphasize they need 3 days to make changes. Always use your debit card in this situation. The system default is to use your checking account that takes 3 days.
3) Please know the system’s view will show you your 90 day payoff amount after the scheduled payment. You will be mislead to think that you’ve paid in full only to find a balance after the 90 day payoff. The system is one day ahead in showing you the auto payment and in real time with your balance. It misleads you to think your 90 day payoff includes the scheduled payment. Technically you would be one payment short after the 90 days. Your balance will then be the doubled amount. You wouldn't even notice if you were not paying attention or knew what to look for. 4) Look at your contract and do the math. Take the amount owed by 90 day option, subtract the payments NOT including the very first one you made in store. That is your balance. It will be one payment short.
I hope this gives you an awareness to make a better decision with the 90 day option. Please do the math folks and save yourself some money. I can't believe how unethical these practices are. Making a profit is understandable but this is modern day trickery and theft. They are preying on the uninformed. Use them for the 90 day option and pay it off days before the expiration.

After using UOWN for a purchase of a bed and living area and receiving fair service from the staff, I decided to purchase again and use them with the 90 quick payout just like I did the 1st time. After making additional payments on top of my regular payments, on April 30th 2018 I received a call that my account was delinquent which it was strange as I had funds in my account. I was notified that they changed the information from my bank account to my credit card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I used my credit card to make the additional payments and my bank account to make the withdraws of the regular bi-weekly payments. I told the agent that at no point I had authorized this and all auto payments should come via ACH not CC.
The agent apologized and updated the info and ran the payment. OK... I thought everything was good, then I called in 5/5/18 asking what my balance was and the agent said it was $318. I told her if it was necessary to make an additional payment and she said no as long as the next two payments will come out I will still be with the 90 day quick pay and the account will close. WELL NOT TRUE.
Here I am a month later and owing them over $2000. They said the 90 option was voided and when I asked why they said for the late payment WHICH I NEVER PAID LATE. In fact I WAS MAKING EXTRA PAYMENTS SO HOW AM I LATE if additional payments were done and nowhere in the contract states that additional payments are not part of the regular payments and even though an additional payment was done a regular payment must be made. I used this company when buying a mattress. They do have the same shady tactics of a finance company, but once you understand that, you can get around them. I got a generous approval amount but used only 1/4. The key to not getting played is to call Progressive & have everything explained & set up a payment plan that fits your budget. They tell you the full cost + interest upfront (2 to 4 years high interest) which is a turn off to most but I find it refreshing since credit cards don't, so you don't realize how much you are overpaying for everything you finance! Their only requirement is that you pay something regularly. They do have a minimum, however they allow you to change the payment amount & date without penalty, which is epic! Of course pushing out payments benefits them because you keep accumulating interest, but you can give yourself breathing room if you have an emergency. Try doing that with a car or credit card payment!!
The staff is very helpful & non judgemental. They apparently are NOT on commission & will not bully you into paying a certain amount. This company gets a bad rep because the sales staff are either misinformed or outright lie to make the sale. For example, I was told no tax by sales but tax is included in the loan. I was told free delivery, but that was only online so the delivery charge was on my loan. I was told I would be billed 90 days same as cash, but you have to call and tell Progressive that you want to be billed that way, otherwise they will take out the minimum for a 2 or 4 year pay off, at high ** interest! Also you are not "billed" it is an eft debit from your checking account, which is mandatory!!!. These things are the fault of the store staff, who are feeding you this ** not the finance company.
I highly recommend that you DO NOT take the potential monthly payment that the sales person gives you as gospel & use the calculator on your phone. For example the salesman told me $48 a month for a $500 item with the 90 days same as cash option. And I said, "How can that be when 90 days is 3 months and $500/3 month is is $167, before interest?" Don't be fooled, do your own math.
Overall if you watch your money and budget to keep the payment amount in your account by the due date, this is a good way to get necessities if your credit has some hits. Plus the fact they send you text & email 7 days before they take the money out and you have up to 3 days before they do, to push the payment out 1 to 2 weeks. If you are prone to over drafting, then ask your bank to let you open a 2nd checking account just for bills and put the payment amount (or any other bills) in that. The small fee for the 2nd account ($8 to $12 per month) will save you hundreds in overdrafts and you will know the money in the 1st account is yours free & clear to spend.
So again, the company has high interest and is only available at shady companies with money back guarantees that have small print to where you don't really get all your money back or some other b.s like restocking fees. But that is the stupid tax you pay for not managing your finances better, or not making good career or health decisions, or just bad luck. At least Progressive has a few outs for people and doesn't take total advantage like prepaid debit cards and car financing. Don't get me started there!
I hope this review was helpful. I was not compensated for my opinion and I am not a Progressive Leasing current or former employee. I have no relationship with the company or anyone who works for them. Just a worker bee tryna hip you to the truth. If you decide to use Progressive Leasing, remember these 3 take always: 1. Do not believe the sales people about anything except the amount you are approved for. 2. Do not open your purchase until you talk to Progressive to get the real deal on what you really got yourself into. In most states you have 3 days or more to cancel a purchase for a FULL refund, no b.s., but the merchandise must be unopened or in original packaging (so beware of free set up offers or offers to test your purchase -- ie computers & phones. It's a scam to open the pkg & keep you from getting your money back when buyer's remorse sets in).
3. Make sure you love what you bought (If you don't open it you can up/downgrade the item more easily.), you can afford it and that you set aside the money for your payments by either monitoring your email & bank account or getting a 2nd bank acct for bills only. Thanks for reading. Watch your spending. Monitor your credit. Pay your bills on time as best you can. God bless America. Buyers beware!

Please for the love of peanut butter... take these reviews seriously. I thought it was just people that don't pay and want something for free. NO... I'm telling you the TRUTH. They really are this horrible. I never felt compelled to write a review on a company that gave bad service before. I felt like the company shouldn't pay for one bad rep. This company is rotten to the core!!!
The payments for my Smith Machine was supposed to be weekly, everything was going fine and I thought to see it's just people that don't want to pay causing problems. Then I saw they started posting two payments a week. Now, for a fair and HONEST review, they would only collect one payment but they would post two. The issue with that is the bank is going to try to retrieve that money immediately until the vendor collects. If it's not available when it POST then that's an insufficient funds charge of $35.00. I was furious and tried to resolve it by sending the payments back and TRYING to log in and make the payments myself as a one-time payment weekly on the site. UMMM... NO, the web help was rude as hell (I AM NOT KIDDING) and unless.
THEY DID NOT HELP ME LOG IN TO MAKE PAYMENTS SO YOU CAN'T THINK I WILL JUST GET AROUND THEM AND USE THE SITE TO PAY ON TIME. Because of these issues I was fed up and called to have them pick the machine up. They transfer you to the scheduling and delivery department. I informed them I want to send it back, told them why and that I sent the payments back. The lady said she wanted to help; long story short we agreed that to the amount that I would pay to close the account. On 2/2/2018 I was to make a one-time payment with them over the phone for $865.20. I called and made the payment and received a paid in full email with zero owed.
They CALLED ME TODAY!!! saying I owe them 3 dollars and something cent!!! WHATTTTTTT??? Months later!!!! With we doing you a favor demeanor!!!! Called back and another person said I owe them 40 something dollars!!!! OUTRAGEOUS. The deal I made with them when I wanted to send the machine back is can't be revoked months after i held up to my end of the deal and paid it off!!! I told the lady about the payments I sent back. She calculated what I needed to pay to close the account. I paid it on time as agreed. Should be END OF STORY right? NOPE!!!! They have the nerve to say they are keeping my account to ** up my credit!!!
You have been warned!!! Making payments on time will NOT save you from this outrageous company. IMPORTANT When I SENT ONE PAYMENT BACK THIS IS ALL THE HONEST TRUTH SO PAY ATTENTION. They changed the name of the company three times to get the payment to go through again. They said to me, (and here is the proof) "You sent 4 payments back." But they trying to say I still owe one payment. But, the lady from shipping removed that one payment to save the account because of the way they handled my bank account.
Please forgive my caps, I am very upset because I tried to explain this to them and it fell on deaf ears. They will talk to you in a very condescending tone which will upset you to the highest level. Do yourself a favor. Go online and search for other leasing companies that are credit friendly. People that use them are not in the position to have them hold their credit over their heads to steal more money from them. The email says, "Paid in full", if I let them bully more money out of me now, who's to say they won't call again for more money!! I am sooooo upset. They waited months to contact me then they could have waited and not ruined my Mother's Day weekend by upsetting me so bad. Don't do it.
COMPANIES LIKE LEASEVILLE USE THEM!!! GOOGLE FOR COMPANIES THAT DO USE THEM. THERE ARE PLENTY. They need to act like they appreciate the business they get but as long as companies use them they will keep ripping you off so don't use Leaseville.com and check to make sure the company you use don't use them.

They told me it would be about 45$ more a month which seemed perfect. It was about 40$ more a WEEK. They told me it would only be about 20% more than the phone itself after the 90 day period. It was definitely more than double the phone cost if I let it go past 90 days. The lease is garbage. Such a scam. No wonder they don't credit check.

Updated on 04/09/2018: I left a review on March 28th telling of the bad service with this company. First they wanted a bank statement and I sent that, then they told me it wasn't detailed enough whatever that means. Today I get a call from a manager asking how she can fix things. I told her nothing unless you can get me approved then told her to never call my number again. They say they don't check your credit but it was on my credit report as a hard inquiry. Then last week when I was in cricket a guy got approved right there on the spot. I had to show proof of a bank statement but he didn't, WHAT THE HELL!

I filled out the application in hopes to get a new laptop because I am an Owner Operator of an 18 wheeler and I need it to log into the load boards and my current laptop is on its last leg. I was originally Denied but the email instructed me to call and talk to them about it. So I called and was told I was denied but wasn't given any info as to why. She then instructed me that I needed to go to a link and complete a "Bank Verification" process which would help get my denial overturned. So I told her to email me the link and I completed it over while she was on the phone, she told me to call back in about 20-25 minutes and they would have more information.
So After doing the verification I called back and was told I was declined to due "Bank Activity" but the woman I spoke with would not tell me what that even mean nor would she attempt to put me on the phone with someone who could. All she kept doing was repeating "Denied" as if I didn't hear her the first time. I do not blame her for not knowing but I am unsatisfied with the way they do business with people and I will not be reapplying in 30 days when I am eligible. This is an outrageous business practice to not give any information to applicants so that we can correct anything that needs to be corrected to satisfy your application requirements. Seems to me that they do not care about anyone who does not automatically meet their requirements nor try to help in any way whatsoever.

I purchased a sofa and chair set with Progressive Leasing through my local Big Lots on 9/02. I called today to get the pay off total, I had calculated a balance of $386.73 after making 5 payments of 61.85 plus the initial payment of 51.60. My balance according to Progressive Leasing was $51.60 more than what I had calculated. Come to find out, what they don't tell you when you make the purchase and talk to the Progressive Leasing people at the store on the phone waiting for approval is that the first "initial payment" doesn't apply to your lease at all, it's just free money to them.
The rep today stated it's in the contract, section 2. PAYMENTS: A payment (the “Initial Payment”) of $49.00, plus sales tax of $2.60, totaling $51.60 is due when this lease is signed, and additional payments (“Recurring Payments”) of $58.74, plus sales tax of $3.11, totaling $61.85, are due every two weeks thereafter while the lease remains in force. On the day of purchase, the salesman said if you pay off the balance within 90 days it would be interest free, that all you have to pay today is $51.60 (based on total balance) and even if you have so-so credit they will finance it. (I believed it was an "initial payment" and would apply to the account balance).
After being put on hold and then hung up on my first call to Progressive, I called again and after requesting to speak to someone higher up. After extended talking I was offered a 50% reduction of the $51.60 = $25.80. I explained to Progressive that this practice is a ripoff, that people are being taken advantage of and being lied to. I would not recommend this business to anyone, it is fraud! There is a reason it is not BBB Accredited.

On December 10 of 2016, I purchased an iPhone 7 Plus at my local MetroPCS store, from there, we inquired about monthly payments to pay off the phone, which at the time was priced at the $765 at the time for the 32 GB model. We were recommended to using Progressive Leasing, but the seller did not briefly explain what had to be exactly done within 90 days, so we (my family and I) decided to go with the flow and pay at a weekly rate, and keep in mind we did not know how the 90 day program worked as it was not explained.
We realized that the retail price of the phone had already been reached and the other Progressive services fees had been added and we kept paying until around $1,300. I later realized that the company had been demanding a whopping $2000+ for a product that costed less than $1000 and since have stopped paying because it is totally uncalled for, especially for the interest rates. Do not use this company unless you want to pay for more than what you’re going to buy.

I have used Progressive for 4 purchases. Every one of them was paid off in 90 days, so all I paid was a little more than the items' price. A small price to pay for not having stellar credit, but needing items. When you do the math, the additional amount you pay on a early 90 day pay off is NO different than interest on a high rate credit card balance. Those giving one star obviously didn't do the math or ask the proper questions. My only issue is there is NO positive marks on my credit report for any of the purchases, which they should be showing up. I will be aiming a fuss about that on the phone in the morning.

I’m not sure why they have any complaints because I’ve had nothing but great experiences with the service and customer support. I leased a couple things (tires and rims) through Progressive and chose the 90 day payout option so I wasn’t paying interest afterwards. I paid a couple payments before actually having the money to pay it off. When I finally got the money I chose to pay them off so I was a couple payments less than what I was when I was in the leases. So I paid the remaining amount stated as the 90 day payout and the following day I had another additional payment come out. The payment that came out was my original normal payment had I not paid it off when I did. So I thought well this is bizarre, I just paid them off and another payment comes out maybe it was a mistake and I’ll just see about a refund. Nope! I was highly mistaken when I called them.
They said they would issue a refund but it would reopen the account and I would have to continue to pay my normal payment. So of course I let them keep it so I didn’t have to continue to pay but I will never do another Progressive lease again. The customer service was also horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Sure it’s a great thing if you don’t have credit but in the end it just ends up being a complete rip-off. Also, when you call they put you on hold for at least 30 minutes to an hour before they actually get to you. Highly disappointed in this company.

So far I have paid these clowns over 2,500$ for 900$ worth of products and still gonna have to pay another 2.500$ when all said and done... This company is used car salesman on steroids. Pure reptile behaviour... I'm not sure how they are even getting away with these rates but plan to talk with the BBB also local FBI office. 2. Bottom line don't use this company for anything.
3. When you sign up you don't receive any paper work. It's all through e-mail and takes them a month to start sending you any info at all. The salesman try to push you into using these services like it's a good deal or something. Had I known the situation I'd be in with these bums I'd obviously just spent the 900$ off the top. The salesman make it seem like it's a line of credit you make realistic payments on and BUILD credit in the meantime. But NO it's the complete opposite. A bed that cost 1000 in store cost me 1325 with Progressive Leasing, plus $59 to get started with the application. Early payout was $1400 and change. Without 90 day payout, the item would cost almost double, 2300 and change. Also, if you calculate the taxes each month, you are paying so much more than you think. Real scam. Save your money, go to the stores and buy direct. You will end up saving in the long run. Plus the item will always be there. I wish I had did my research before getting involved. So I applied again and this time for larger items. 2 sets of bunk beds and mattresses. I made sure I could afford the monthly payment to pay it off in 90 days. So far so good. I purchased a item using Progressive Leasing in September and was told I would get a info packet ten days after my purchase. I called in October asking about the payments and they could not give me any info because they said they did not get the purchase info from the store. Called a couple times after that. And November 22, TWO MONTHS after my purchase, I called and they said they still do not have any info about my purchase and I should contact my store about it. First off, why should I have to call anyone for money I owe you!
So finally, December 2 I get a email that my payments have started, and will be withdrawn Dec 4! NO WARNING AT ALL! And when I called Dec 6 the rep named Dakota, said they got my info from the store November 1 and that’s when my plan started. Again, I called Nov 22 and was told they didn’t! So after a long debate after complaining Dakota didn’t budge and just apologized for the mistake! And also I lost 30 days from my pay in 90 days and no interest is added! So Dakota's “solution” to that is I have to pay $100 and I get a extra 30 days to pay in cash interest free. I know this is a long review, and I could go on. Bottom line, Progressive Leasing is not a trusting service and I’m still waiting to see if they will make up for THEIR mistake but it will never happen and once I pay this off, Progressive Leasing will never see another penny of my money or the store who gave me the confidence to use Progressive Leasing either!

Providing this review on behalf of my son: My son "bought" a speaker/amp combo from the Federal Way Cartoys in July 2017. The salesman explained the price of $1,385.74 if paid off in 90 days. My son agreed because he's in school and was only working for the summer break. The guy set the weekly payment but set it for a 12 month period, and not 3 months. My son says the guy never told him that he would need to change the payment himself to reflect a 90 day payoff. He called at 90 days for a payoff and found out he hadn't been paying enough, so the amount he owed had doubled. I read the contract and his options were to keep it and pay or return the merchandise, so he decided to return it. I listened in on the calls so I could know what needed to be done. We have been on the phone multiple (and I do mean multiple times) with these people.
Initially we were told to take it back to CarToys: can't do that. Then we were told they would arrange a 3rd party to pick it up once it was removed, and to provide a picture of the merchandise to an email once my son got the call to "verify the merchandise being picked up". That call never came. We call back and are told there's no one to pick it up and we'd need to ship it with a provided label, but we'd have to find a box. At the post office I'm told the box is too big to ship Priority (the label provided). I Call Progressive and they say they don't have any other label available. Now I'm told to email the pictures in order to get a call for pickup. So I immediately send the email. My son then gets a call days later saying they will only send a label; no pick up. No label received, so my son calls and is told he needs to provide the measurements of the speaker and amp before they will send a label. WTH!!!
Meanwhile, they said my son has until 11/11 to return it or they'll start charging him again. We've been trying to return this stuff since the end of September. The major issue is the lack of information give to customers, at purchase and when trying to return items, and the amount of time it has taken to get any information (be it misleading or correct) from them. And the only ones who benefit is Progressive. My son is new to this but I am not new to the scam.

They immediately started deducting money from my bank account on payday which wasn't a problem until I sat and thought about how much I was paying vs the frequency of payments.
I called Progressive Leasing to inquire about the charges and I was told by "Dave" I was paying $2400 for my mattress and their "leasing fee" (100% interest). After a very brief exchange with him I asked for a supervisor and he then connected me to "Sue" who only apologized for the misunderstanding and continuously reiterated "you signed the lease agreement" which I never argued. After explaining to her that I signed under the pretense of paying the $1300 she only replied "you signed the lease agreement." After a few more minutes of back and forth she says "all I can do for you is give you a 30 day extension without the extension fee." Be careful and don't trust that they will do what they are supposed to. You could be the one to pay if they drop the ball.

I paid my account off in July 2017. In September 2017, I received a notice that my account would be debited $230.82. I thought it was sent in error since my account was paid in full and closed. WRONG! September 22, it was debited! I called and explained what happened and was told by Chris that this has happened before and he apologized. He said in order for me to get my funds back I needed to show proof of my payoff and I did.
Later I received an email saying that I did not provide the correct information... so I called. Chelsie proceeds to tell me that they did their customers a favor by deferring a month because of the storm??? I paid my account off in July and the storm was in August and then you take a payment in September! So she tells me that I have to send proof that the funds were taken out and then I would be refunded in 7-8 days - WTH??? I told her it didn't take them 7-8 to get my money so they should refund immediately! Especially since I provided PROOF that the funds were taken. WAY too much hassle for something that was their fault in the first place - I believe there was something sinister behind this WHOLE thing and I am sure I was not the only one this happened too... I hope this helps someone!

Reading all of these negative reviews it's clear that none of these people understood the terms they were agreeing to. This is my 3rd time around using Progressive for financing of furniture and such from Big Lots. Yes, they jack up the price of the original purchase by half but if you pay the same as cash price in 90 days (which is clearly stated in the contract you are asked to sign) you don't get charged the extra. Pay attention to what you're agreeing to and your 90 day early buyout date and you're golden.

As stated in my initial review, if Progressive Leasing corrected my issue that I would make another review. As a follow up to my question, "how was Progressive Leasing collecting state sales tax for items not purchased in the state which I live?" The response from Progressive is, "they don't." I am happy this matter was resolved; however, the customer service agents representing Progressive on the phone should research their responses to its customers and not blindly answer questions without knowledge.
Tell the customers this or that matter require research and someone from the company will call the customer back. Just don't recite a cookie-cutter answer when clearly the response does not fix with that scenario. This will cause the company to have a BAD reputation amongst its customers. Remember as representatives of this company, your customer service agents are your mouth; give them the resources and education needed to successfully de-escalate a bad customer service routine call. I am now satisfied!

I am wanting to be fair with my assessment of Progressive Leasing. If they correct this issue, I will also post it as well. I bought furniture for my daughter who lives in NJ but did the purchase as cash and carry in a tax-free state. I live in the state of NC and I recently received the terms of my contract from Progressive. Here is where the issue is, how is Progressive adding a state sales tax for the state of NC for furniture carried and paid for in a tax-free state? What sale receipt will they be presenting to the state of NC for my purchase?
When I called Progressive Leasing and made my concerns known, I was advised that taxes are assessed based on the residence of the lessee and not where the furniture was purchased. Now, for that logic to make sense and be legal, in my opinion, I should have been able to pick out the furniture selected in NC and then have my daughter to pick it up in DE; contractually correct. However, this is not what Progressive Leasing allow me to do. I was told I had to travel to DE and pick out my furniture and sign the documents there; my purchase amount $1517 with no sales tax, receipt to prove it. Now, Progressive Leasing is wanting to collect state sales taxon behalf of NC. My question is "how?" If Progressive Leasing insists on keeping NC sales tax on my purchase, then I will be following a complaint with the various banking oversight committees which they have to answer to.

Sound Warehouse offered financing through Progressive for car speakers and amplifier. After making payments for the first two months we were offered early buyout. We paid in full and received notification that the account was closed. However for some reason the previous payment had bounced and the account was reopened. Two months later we start getting calls saying we owe on the account. It took us two months to hopefully get it sorted out by paying the "missed" payment but not without asking for full documentation to send to my lawyer. They even tried to charge me an additional $1000. All this for a $600 product. Their customer service is a joke. All they want is as much money as they can scam people for.

We have done business with Progressive Leasing several times. Contract was always explained to us, we were fully aware of the weekly cost (or set up bi-weekly, or monthly), the contract cost, and buyout cost. Example: you buy a sofa set for 1200... the contract amount will be about double that. It's a lease-purchase, somewhat like Aaron's, or RAC, etc.
You get 90 days to pay the amount in cash - the actual retail purchase price. So let's say your payments are $54 a week, you pay for two months, then you can buy it at retail price, with your paid payments subtracted. If you go over the 90 days, the buyout is a portion of what the remaining contract balance is. Your balance might be say $940, but you can still early payout at $516.
I hope my explanation makes sense. It's the internet. Lol. They aren't a bad company if you have less than great credit, or just don't like to mess with credit cards, etc. We've always had good customer service from Progressive, on the phone, and we do like the fact that the website allows you complete control of your payments. You can make extra payments, and it details the balance after each payment, which we really like. Just research before you sign up. And when at the dealership, ASK questions! Take a piece of paper with questions with you.

These people are full of crap. They lied to me about how much I would pay and when I called them out the customer service rep would not help me out because I couldn't remember the gentlemen I spoke to at the mattress store. He then proceeded to tell me I missed a payment by 4 days because my debit card was expired even though there another year plus until it does. Don't give your money away to these people. I was told I would only pay 1100 and the end cost is over 2300. ** this company.

I went to Big Sandy to look for a mattress set and at last I found one for $799. Went through Progressive Leasing to rent to own this furniture, and before I signed any of the documents on the computer, I had asked the lady what my biweekly payments would be, and she stated 51.34 biweekly. However this morning I received an email stating that my biweekly payments were now $66.86, and the payoff was $1798. That's double the cost of the price of the bed! None of this was explained during the process of applying for the Progressive lease or signing up on the Progressive lease. Needless to say, I will be returning this bed. Lord only knows how much they'll charge me to end the lease and return the furniture! Stay far far away from this company! Aaron's is at least slightly cheaper.

Walked into a store with money to buy furniture. Saw their leasing deal and decided to go with that to free up more money to help with the move. I was told that I would pay around $60 a month for 12 months, which works out to the price with tax and interest. So I agreed. The lady checking me out had me use her laptop. She'd explain and then say, click the boxes if you understand. Well, sure enough I find out that if I use the 12 months I pay double, over $1,200. I immediately contact the company telling them about this, and all I get is the run-around. They said well if I pay it off in 90 days, there is no interest. How do I know for sure? Nothing else has been true. So not only do I pay bi-monthly, but you have to pay double-bi monthly payments to pay it off in 90 days. No way this is legal!

I signed up online for their 12 month no interest & payments. I was approved but there was no documentation until I went in store to purchase. I was then told I'd have to pay the loan in 3 months, and told I'd have to call to verify I would be paying off my loan before the 3 months or face interest charges. I was completely misled online and the people in the store I purchased from were already aware of this fiasco and stated it was a rent to own. I am very dissatisfied with the false advertising this leasing company is providing. You end up paying double the amount for the product.

I don't understand all the negative reviews. The company does a great job letting you know all their options. With a family of 4 this option has helped me furnish my living room and a new mattress with their 90 day option which doesn't cost you anything more than if I bought it that day in the store. The representative that explained the program told me my payments come out on pay periods which are weekly for me so I pay weekly and it's fine. I always pay within 90 days so I don't get slammed with the full term payment that I am aware of.
I am on my second time using them and when I'm done I will use them again for the table my wife wants. All my furniture is Jordans which is very high quality. Very happy with their product. I feel the people who have had issues just sign documents without reading. I knew what I was getting and as long as you pay within 90 days you make out. Will be doing business with them again.

Then was told the amount that I was giving (305.00) no longer available, and that I would have to apply all over for another loan at higher rate and that the remaining balance would be added on!!! Furniture financing - First off your are told a monthly payment. After a month or so it doubles as they start taking it bi-monthly as opposed to the agreed upon monthly payment. So your $85 payment you thought you could afford becomes $170. Then during the last two months of the loan in did the early payoff. They still attempted to charge me. After that was settled and the account was paid in full, I asked if they would be reporting my account to the credit bureau. The reply I got said, "while we reserve the right to report to the credit bureaus we are not doing so at this time." Translation: "We only report delinquent accounts. We don't want to help people build credit because then they won't need a rip off company like us."

And was denied several times. Why? I don't know! So I called and was told to email an 90 day statement and voided check. After I did I was still denied. The problem is these people gave me the run around. I was on the phone with them on and off for 3 HOURS for this information. I literally called them 9 times cause of a link they sent and never did. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AND THEY SHOWED NO SYMPATHY.

July 10, 2017, the last of the issues with Progressive have been been resolved by a manager from their Customer Relations department. A long series of unfortunate circumstances starting with a MattressFirm sales associate who did not fully disclose lease details, to Progressive associates and departments who were slow to mitigate damages, came to an end. No one was able to pinpoint where things got out of hand, but final closing documents were finally sent and the account and case are closed.

Purchased 3 mattresses from Mattress Firm and was told that Progressive was their "In-House" financing. At the time of sale, the salesperson at Mattress Firm was acting as a fully authorized agent for Progressive Leasing. The "lease" was SUPPOSED to be a "90 Days, same as cash”, in-house financing. No processing fees or financing charges were ever discussed or copies provided. $1300 down was paid on a $2159.99 purchase. The cash for the entire purchase was available, but I wanted to get some credit payment history started (I've paid cash for everything for 15 years and had no history still on record).
After the in-store payments for the bulk of the purchase were made, another amount was removed from my account the next day, and I still have no explanation for that one. Now Progressive explains by email that they get a one-time processing fee (never discussed before) and have outlined a complicated and confusing payment plan for the payoff. Oh, and that it's NOT their fault that all the information was not fully disclosed. They already have automatic payments set-up from my account (3 Only in the next 90 days). Why are they concerned with payoffs, financing, fees and 12 month options? This was supposed to be a straight-up 90 days deferred payment setup.
My opinion is that Mattress Firm and Progressive Leasing are essentially the same company and that the sales people are compensated agents of both companies. I am fully, legally disabled and on a fixed income. This is stress I don't need or can easily tolerate. The money is in the account to pay this off, and all I ever wanted was a straightforward and transparent transaction on some mattress. And incidentally, the mattresses "leased" thru Progressive were NOT new as represented, but "Second Hand/Used" units from previous "leases" (found this out AFTER the delivery), and so forth. In my opinion it is best to avoid either/both of these companies for safety's sake.

I purchased a bed/mattress, table and chairs. Purchase price was $1752. I was told it could be 90 days same as cash. My payments were bi-weekly at a rate of $145. After 3 payments, (90 days will be 27 Jul), I attempted to go online and pay off thinking I would owe about $1300. Not!!! The pay off is $1686, which means that even paying within 90 days, they charged me $300 over the purchase price! I do not recommend this. At this rate, it's better to use a rental company with a 120 day same as cash! At least they provide free delivery and the price is really same as cash! I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Were approved with Progressive Financial and told they would automatically deduct the money from our account every two weeks. Not a problem. That is until my husband switched jobs and his pay dates changed. Called Progressive Financial to let them know. They had already received the one payment for the month and we were told they would make the adjustment. Haven't missed a payment yet but every month since then and lately it has been up to a half dozen times a day, they call us and hound us. Even after letting the representative calling know we were told that we could still expect these calls. I don't even answer their calls anymore and not only that but they call from different areas of the country with different area codes and numbers. Do they think I am stupid? I have caller ID and if they aren't in my contact list they don't get answered.
