BUYER BEWARE!!!! If only we could give negative stars. We purchased a Winnebago and extended warranty September 23rd 2022 from La Mesa RV. Very quickly started having structural and mechanical problems with it after only using it on 2 quick weekend trips in the fall, never using it to its full capacity including not filling water tanks. After many unanswered messages we were finally able to get it in for WARRANTY repairs in May of 2023. After that crickets.... After a month of them having our camper and no communication we reached out multiple times to get a status on repairs and would never get a call back.

In July after again many calls we were told they would not cover many of the things that needed repairs and blamed it on winnebago. This week after having our camper for over 4 months!!!! we were told it would cost an additional $2000 to repair the broken water heater stating it was water damaged. We never used the water and winterized it per their instructions!!! Along with charging us $400 to adjust the door that swings open when traveling. AGAIN THIS IS A BRAND NEW TRAILER STILL UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY ALONG WITH HAVING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.

When we asked for our trailer today they told us it would take a few days to get ready for pick up. We told them we wanted it back today, almost 5 months was long enough, they sat it in the middle of their parking lot without placing a block under the hitch leaving us to scramble to find bricks to lift the hitch high enough to hook on to our truck. Camper was also dirty and full of dead moths at pick up. Such a disappointment and the $400 door repair we paid for didn't stop our camper door from swinging open on the way home.... THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING FROM LA MESA RV.

AVOID doing business in this PLACE ALL Together... La MESA RV Center may be a known name but the STAFF & Process does NOT Own up to it. Do yourself a Favor and SAVE yourself from the stress and burden of having to DEAL with IRRESPONSIBLE, Unprofessional, bullies, that don’t ADMIT to being at FAULT for their mistakes and will turn everything around to make you the problem & twist things & make it even more difficult for you. They DON’T have a dependable FINANCE TEAM or TEAM in Place (They have 1 RUDE ** manager and 1 negligent sales manager running the whole operation) running credit and trying to close deals with no knowledge of what needs to be done effectively.

Imagine giving a 5K down, completing the whole process of what “appeared” to be A DONE deal… leaving the LOT with your new travel trailer… ONLY to find out 45 days later when you get a CALL from someone at a different location that the finance manager who "funded" your Deal was FIRED and documents need to be resigned due to address error??? Finding out upon contacting the supposed Lender “Alliant Credit Union” That you are a ghost & there’s NO DEAL that was EVER FUNDED or even considered?!!!

How does any DEALER in the right mind ALLOW a CUSTOMER to DRIVE Away in A NEW RV and contact them 45 days later saying there’s no funding in place?! Not only that – Running the customer's Credit after 2 hard hits with 3 more hard inquiries (Without Consent) to TRY to Justify the situation only to end up Saying You have three days to come up with more money or your own financing or return the trailer... overwhelming, anxiously annoyed & distraught with how they have handled this. Don’t TRUST because you are bound to get HIT with the BIGGEST most stressful situation. The negligence and disgrace of this place is beyond what any customer should have to go through.

Searching for a Motorhome I called La Mesa RV. They showed me some, I told them where are budget was. I was told they have one coming in I will really like. They mislead me about the one coming in. I said no Bunk Houses. This was bait and switch, to substantiate it they knew it was a bunk house. Instead of calling me to tell me the one I agreed on was not what came in they still had me drive down there hoping I would pay more for another one they had. To back that up they had a salesman drive me around to "see what else I might may like" for more money of course.

I bought my very first RV from La Mesa in March 2022. I knew nothing about RV's. We purchased a *like new* 2022 Jayco 31F for $120,000. It had less than 2K miles. The Sales associate told us that the Warranty with Jayco extends to the 2nd buyer. Within our first year of owning this RV we had several problems with it. Generator went out, The Glue on the floors was not sticking, the refrigerator went out, cameras had issues, propane didn't work. When we brought it in for service we were told that we had No Warranty! That it in fact does not transfer to the 2nd owner as we were told by their sales associate. We had to go and fight with the office to get our issues fixed and have them covered - and they finally agreed to it after the sales associated admitted she told us this information.

This was 2 months into purchase! When I asked if we could trade it for a new model that does come with a Warranty, they said they would buy it back from us for $80,000!! So we obviously kept the one we had because we were not taking a $40,000 loss in 2 months! When you bring your RV into service at their Port St Lucie, FL location, you get the run around! We have brought it in a total of 3 times and each time we get it back it is in worse condition. Then when we dropped it off!! They seem to break more when they have your RV and they really don't seem to care at all. The Floors were recently replaced and they took the molding off the walls to put them down - when we got it back There is no molding! Only nails sticking out of the walls!

We have called for 2 months asking for our molding back and we get stories as to its being ordered. We had a soft spot fixed on the ceiling as it was dipping and the tape seal was coming off. We got it back with a bigger dip and whoever put the tape back on the ceiling had dirty hands and I had a hand print and crooked/folded tape! They don't seem to help you or do anything for you. In order for anyone to cooperate you need to get the service manager involved who also doesn't want to be bothered by his job. In order to get some of my work done I had to email him and the girl that finally called me to schedule after I left several messages told me she had to call me now that "her manager has been notified". Are you kidding me! Not to mention, when they have your RV - They keep it a long time, and I mean for months!!

While you are paying the monthly bill to have your RV and your monthly storage fees - they take their damn time in getting it back to you. I know others that have had it there 6-8 months with No repairs done! I was also told by my service rep that the office no longer wants to pay for my repairs as its costing them too much money! I am sorry they gave me wrong information and now they have to deal with it! I am also sorry that I have to keep bringing it back because their service team just can't get it right! This business is extremely unprofessional and has ruined our very first RV experience. Take your business elsewhere!

Sales department treats you like a king as long as you're interested in buying. Do not recommend this place, low ball you on trade ins, and inflate their prices.

We went to La Mesa RV in October 2022 and were asked to put a $5k deposit as there is one RV on the assembly line to reserve our name on the unit. We were told by the sale person that the unit should be ready by the end of November. Keep in mind we lost everything after hurricane Ian hit SW Florida and in need of a quick living solution. After we put the $5k deposit no communication from anyone at La Mesa RV in Fort Myers branch. We called and left many messages without any luck. Today is January 19, 2023. For the past 2 weeks we called and left numerous messages to get our deposit back as we have been waiting for months. Still we have not received any communication from the company. Just beware folks.

After discovering that I had posted a negative review about my experience, I received 4 calls back from 4 different people at La Mesa in a 2 hour period. They apologized for neglecting to contact me back to handle a relatively minor issue. They agreed to refund me for the battery and service charge I had to pay out of pocket for, as well as install a new battery for me since the one I had installed during my trip wasn't the right type of battery for my coach. I am updating my rating to 4 stars because I appreciate their willingness to finally make it right. Hopefully that continues in the future when issues arise.

    Original Review: Oct. 19, 2022

NEVER purchase an RV through LaMesa!! I bought a BRAND NEW Thor Chateau at an RV show at the stadium. If I had known ahead of time it was through LaMesa I wouldn't have gone, because I purchased my first RV through them and had issues, but I decided to give them another chance. Our very first time taking it out camping, I noticed the battery in the back was not charging, so we didn't even have lights after we had to turn the generator off for the night. One morning we woke up to a horrible sulfur smell and heard a hissing sound. The smell was so strong, we decided we'd better take it to a repair shop. The repair guy said the battery had an internal short and was about to explode. He said we were lucky the RV didn't catch on fire. So after spending several hours at the repair shop (because they didn't have a battery in stock and had to go pick one up), I paid for the new battery and left.

I contacted my salesman at LaMesa to explain what happened, and I asked for a refund for the purchase of the new battery. I was transferred to multiple different people who all refused to help me, so I asked to speak with the sales manager. He said he would look into it for me to see what he could do, and he would call me back by the end of the day. That was 3 days ago, and he hasn't returned any of my calls. I also left a message with the LaMesa corporate office, but I haven't heard back from them yet either. I understand they probably weren't aware they were selling me a never before owned vehicle with a faulty battery...that isn't even my issue with them at this point. The fact they refuse to correct it or even have the courtesy to contact me back when I have been nothing but polite is upsetting. If this is how they treat return customers, I'm not interested in giving them my business. I spent way too much money there for them to ignore my valid concerns.

My wife and I visited the showroom on a Sunday afternoon and decided that we would wait to purchase. Over the following weeks and month we received emails about rv’s and finally I contacted the internet office and explained exactly what we were looking for, then we were contacted about a used rv that we might be interested in so went back to showroom and were taken to a 2017 Airstream on a Sprinter frame.

It was clear upon approaching the unit that it had not been cleaned inside or out, the salesman explained that it had just arrived on the lot and not been cleaned but that being cleaned it would look great. While looking inside the unit I found that the toilet seat was broken and told the salesman. We loved the unit and the price was within our budget so we were directed to the finance office and started the paperwork. Later we were told that we could pick the unit up on Sunday, that a fan motor for the air conditioner had been ordered. We were attempting to make plans with our family out of state for the first week of the month and requested that if possible we could take possession Thursday which they agreed to.

During the walk-thru and orientation the step at the sliding door would not work, we were told that a replacement would be ordered and the curtain on the driver’s side rear window was programmed reversed, up was down and down was up however it would be corrected. The unit had been cleaned inside and out, all tanks were full, water, propane and diesel, we left for our family obligation in our new/used Airstream with a broken toilet seat. With a full 5 year warranty on the unit.

While out of state we received a phone call from the service department and were told that the earliest we could get the unit in for any repairs was October 11, 6 weeks after taking possession. The appointment was for the step and curtain, I explained to the lady the other problems we were having. The broken toilet seat, the ac fan, the sewage hose leaks and that the hose would not retract, at this point we were told that our problems would be noted and evaluated after we dropped it off. The lady agreed that we could drop the unit off on October 10, at 3:00 pm to be serviced the next day for 2 items only, the other items would be evaluated at that time.

After returning from our trip we received an email from Robert ** which read that he had confirmed with the delivery coordinator three items and “yes the fan motor on was order with an estimated ETA of 9/30, someone will be in touch with me as soon as it arrives.” This is the second motor home we have bought from La Meza. We had service problems with them on the other unit, time delays, waiting to evaluate our complaints before doing anything to correct the problem. It was our hope that things had gotten better but it appears that nothing has changed.

I purchased an RV from the La Mesa (Mesa AZ location) in April 2022. We live in KY but were having trouble finding the RV we wanted, so instituted a nation-wide search. La Mesa had what we wanted and the price was within the parameters of our expectations. So we purchased the RV, flew to Mesa AZ, and drove the RV back to KY.

The RV is stored in a covered parking area at my home, and was not exposed to rain until recently, when I encountered a rain storm on a camping trip. So 5 months after purchasing a 'brand new' Winnebago Travato, I learned that I have a roof leak. I called Winnebago to ask them if warranty work could be performed by a mobile RV service provider near me. They advised that the selling dealership could sublet the warranty work and suggested that I contact them to discuss the problem.

After 3 phone calls with 3 different people at La Mesa RV, the final message from them is that a roof leak is not likely covered under the warranty, which is absurd. They also said that they could not sublet warranty work on an RV that they sold. Additionally, they told me that Winnebago is ultimately responsible for the warranty. It seems that the warranty is a hot potato. I'm taking the RV to an authorized Winnebago service center located within a reasonable drive from my house, so hopefully all will be resolved soon. That said, La Mesa RV was of absolutely no help with this after-purchase issue.

Attended an RV show in Phoenix, salesman at the show was AWESOME, professional and personable. After handing the cashier's check to LaMesa 2 weeks later when it was ready we took delivery. That when it all went to **. Sales team was great, delivery and sales awful!! Right off the lot the LaMesa response to issues is, "It's the manufacturer's problem, we just sell it!!" In short they do not back the product they sell and they have no problem admitting that. Multiple issues in the first 10 miles and a battle to get them fixed, to this day the manager of the service department still has not returned my call as I have requested. Bottom line, if you are looking for an RV make sure your dealer is prepared to back their product!!

Purchased a new 2023 Thor Tellaro from LaMesa RV Fort Myers, Fl. location. We were truly misled by the salesman, not sure it was intentionally or he was not trained, although he did say he worked there for six years. This was not our first rv purchase, we have been rving for over 35 years and have purchased a number of rv's. This particular rv has a master volt auxiliary battery system, not a standard generator. We had no knowledge of this type of system but the salesman assured us that this system was the newest and greatest and that it is proven to be dependable. What he failed to tell us is that the system will not stay charged when using the rear air conditioning or appliances in the back, the batteries lose charge in a short period of time, in our case less than 2 hours, unless you keep the vehicle running or you are hooked up to shore power, Had we been told this during the sales process we would have chosen another model.

We tried to discuss the problem with the LaMesa customer service who directed us to call Thor, the manufacturer directly who then was no help other than to tell us to call master volt directly who after several attempts could not get hold of anyone. After several weeks of back and forth which was ridiculous, we finally were able to get a service appointment at a dealer, with no help from any of the parties mentioned above. The dealer who is a authorized Thor repair center confirmed that the system is just not good and the operation of the batteries are limited.

We understand that LaMesa is the dealer, not the manufacturer, but as the purchaser we should be able to get answers and help from the dealer not get a run around. With all the rvs we have purchased throughout the years and different dealers we dealt with LaMesa has certainly been the worst. I am not one who writes reviews, but I really have to let people know that the experience with the whole LaMesa organization has been awful. We haven't decided what to do next.

UPDATED 06/14/2022: So never heard from anyone at La Mesa - called David, manager at dealership-had to remind him who I was and when he remembered he said he talked to his VP and was told basically too bad, you bought a used RV and it was fine when it left the showroom - that is just part of RVing. Told him he sold me a lemon. He said it is not a lemon and I can talk to their legal team. I asked how I can get ahold of their legal team and he said they will call and hung up on me obviously not holding my breath. So I am out about $2,000 thanks to La Mesa RV.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: There were issues with our Fleetwood Bounder and we gave a list to the sales rep. They kept the RV for a long time and then said everything was fixed. We went on 2 short weekend trips. Found a broken speaker, broker window, weather striping- was to be fixed. We could deal with everything we found and my husband got a service appointment. So we took a trip cross country since everything wrong was minor. By the first day front room slide would not go in all the way and by the second day the 2nd key hole got stuck. We are currently sitting in Wyoming waiting for good Sam. I called Le Mesa and of course cannot get ahold of anyone.

Be careful buying a RV here. Well Chris from La Mesa called back- so surprised. He gave us some info to hopefully fix the slide. Really no help with the lock so remember the broken window my husband got it open and is now crawling in the window. So as of yesterday from bad to worse- RV would not start at all!!! La Mesa was no help. We had to call our own mobile mechanic, pay $200 to get the RV going two doors down to a Ford Dealer, get a hotel room for the night, and rented a Uhaul to get everything out of the RV since it will be a few days until Ford can even look at it.

I called the dealer, spoke to the guy, Brandon, who sold us the RV and he said he can do nothing-so if they say they are there for you do not believe them. If you call for any reason they just send you to service. Finally got ahold of the service manager and basically was told call the warranty company. I would caution anyone from buying at Le Mesa RV and do not believe anything they tell you. Agree with most of these posts- they just want to sell you the RV and after that fend for yourself. I would give the minus stars if this review would let me. Oh and there were poor ratings on here the other day which seemed to have disappeared since- very interesting.

To add to the story it is now 6/5/22- the warranty company was fantastic and paid for some of the finances we were out, but very minimal. I have talked to David at Sacramento La Mesa- who guaranteed me he would talk to the VP and get back to me. It has been over a week and never heard a thing. So I went onto the La Mesa website and chatted with a customer service rep who assures me that someone will get in touch with me- I will believe it when I see it. So still out $1915.62 and our RV is still in Nevada. As I said before do not buy a RV from La Mesa -they just want to sell you the RV and after that fend for yourself. I have decided to warn everyone I can against La Mesa RV so will be posting this on several sites until it gets settled and I am contacting the better business bureau. Will keep you all posted.

I would never purchase an RV from La Mesa RV, EVER!! I would highly discourage anyone from going through what we have experienced. Once you sign on the dotted line and drive out the door, they wash their hands of you. Customer service is non-existent. They do not return phone calls, nor do they return emails. You cannot get an appointment for warranty repairs for a minimum of three months and then they will only fix ten items per visit (I have a list of nearly 30 items—AND THIS IS FOR A BRAND NEW RV). That is a real pain since I must travel 300+ miles (over $500 in gas alone) to their service center, and they do not have any partnerships with other dealers who may be closer.

They refuse to do any warranty related engine or chassis work and will not make arrangements with Ford. They sold me this brand-new class A motorhome, but I need to waste my time looking for and traveling all over California to get warranty repairs done. Why do I need to that? I even paid extra to have mobile service only to find out I am not in a covered mobile service area. Who does that? They are a complete joke. Stay away from them. Far, far away!!! Their service desk receptionist, Mauri/Mari/Marie is rude and un-accommodating. She should be cleaning their toilets instead of interacting with their customers. It would be a much better fit for her and her lack of customer service skills. The service rep never answers your calls so you have to leave a message. You’re lucky to get a call back.

We bought a 2021 Integra Escalade Super C in February 2021. A year and 3 months later still have warranty issues not fixed after taking it in 3 times. Floor was torn up for a year and finally had to get it fixed by another company. Still waiting to get our $300 reimbursement for that. This last time they had it for two months and finally fixed two vents. Door is still not fixed and trim moulding isn’t either. After looking around we decided to go with Lamesa RV for many reasons. One is they offered a check out of used units and no other place we went offered this. We felt more at ease because at least we would know if there was any problem with it and how to address it. When you purchase from a individual you have no clue what your getting. Other companies sell as is with no check out unless you want to pay for some other guy that doesn't work for them to check it out.

Lamesa did a awesome job. There were a few small issues but we found them and they fixed them. We have been camping since and only needed batteries. I finally threatened legal action with the person that answers the phone, if I am not taken care of. Then someone finally called me back. The RV was brought around front for me to take home. Upon taking the RV home I discovered the electrical system does not work at all.

After calling the dealership they refused to give me an answer, so I decided to bring the RV back on the same day as it was purchased, once they had it back they took it to the service department and after an hour told me they could not fix the problem today. As I am an out of state costumer I asked for the deal to be canceled. They then flat out refused. Be warned that if you purchase from this dealership they will cover up problems to trap you in a purchase. They are doing this knowingly to a military member. Beware of this organization. Upon getting a lawyer involved it was learned that they also were defrauding customers through their warranties they are attaching to the sales of their RVs.

We bought a used 2014 Winnebago 31’. Some issues we were told would be fixed no problem. After three days of having our camper we brought it back for issues to be fixed. Approximately 1 month in the shop problems were not fixed. Our windshield wiper on driver's side came completely off while driving in rain storm. Long story short. Bottom draw under stove didn’t work. Interior light doesn’t work. Back brake light doesn’t work. Right head light lens very dull. Cable tv doesn’t work at hook up. Exhaust extension pipe fell off. Missing cushion for dinette area.

I asked about side cameras, I was told and additional $1,400 I bought and installed for $330. Sales people promised everything. Even if you get stuff in writing they make excuses not to fix. Then they wanted to charge us for a service call to look at issues they said they were going to fix. We are fixing everything ourselves and not going back for anything. Tired of smiles and hand shakes and issues still exist. So we will find a place to service our RV that is credible. And when it comes time to buy a new one (bought used one to see if we liked it, and we do love camping) we will not even consider La Mesa.

We advertised our RV for sale. LaMesa contacted us. After a few days of negotiations we agreed to sell to them and on a price (significantly lower than we wanted but we want to move on) and we were in the process of sending copies of title, drivers licenses and registration when we had another communication. Now, all of a sudden, after agreeing to buy our RV for a price they wanted to take another 5K off. As we wanted to move on, we agreed to split the difference. Then, we got another call back that the deal was off.

Our word is our bond, and had we got another offer after making a commitment in email and verbally, we would have said no. We made a deal, even if something else came up that meant more money, a deal is a deal. When you say you will buy/sell something you back up what you say you will do and make it happen. You might not like the deal you made, but your word has to stand for something in this world. So, now we are back to square one, they blew us off after making a deal. No honesty and no integrity here. Buyer/seller beware. There are other places that stand by their word that you can deal with. This is 100% true. Please protect your own interests and don't take their word as it is just that, word with nothing behind it.

Purchased RV before RV show at the dealership, the RV I was buying was taken to the show while we were going through the purchase. My credit union was the one promised to be used but I was told they denied it because of bad credit? Then I get the letter from my credit union saying they just needed the unlock on my Experian so they could approve it as a formality as I have had a long standing business with them. This cost me a full percentage part on my loan. Was this done for the kickback from the new loan originator? My gut says someone was either too lazy to let me know or that they just swept it under for the kickback money. Purchased before show but when I kept trying to book delivery was pushed back behind all of the show buyers. Took 3 weeks for delivery of an onsite unit!

On day of scheduled delivery hired an Uber to bring me to dealership ($60) and just as I leave received a phone call telling me that the coach was not ready and things were broken (brand new coach NOT a used one!) already in route in Uber so continued to dealership. Day of delivery (as it had taken 3 weeks!) I had reserved camping areas and had the whole family with their campers at site so we could "reveal" our new camper. At dealership looked at my second choice which was still on lot, was assured that they could swap everything and get me out in that unit as the first one failed the walk through inspection.

Talked with sales person that we would take the second choice just needed something taken off for the condition as it was scratched up where previous owner tried taking off decal. This was an even more expensive coach than the first one and was told because of the issues and communication errors they would definitely do something for me. Go to finance to sign for the deal and list price was still the price. Back and forthed and a manager came in and took off $500. Was not happy but at this point just needed to leave.

Go out to coach for walkthrough and there was a dent on the back door that had not been there when we viewed on lot, and inside they still had the price sheets on the restroom door. The sales manager came out and I asked him to have them taken down, and he walked over and pulled them off of the door and the tape peeled the laminate off of the door in 4 large pieces. Already just mad, aggravated and disappointed + finance was already signed. Was told they couldn't do anything about it and that it falls under "cosmetic" so I couldn't complain about it or the scratches and dent on the outside.

This is ridiculous service for a 6 figure buying experience! I get much better treatment at the Mercedes Dealership when I purchase and get service there! I have bought 3 other RV's there and the other 3 were excellent buying experiences, this time was a comedy of errors from the beginning with a cascade of issues snowballing to sour me on this dealerships new management and personnel.

We have a 2020 36’ Newmar which we purchased through La Mesa. The Sales department is great. Except for the extended service contract. We paid $9,992.00 for bumper to bumper. Our teleported tv cuts in and out from the Bluetooth dvd. It has been there for 18 days. We have paid for a group trip and need our coach back. Our coach remained untouched. We began to call for status of the service. We were repeatedly told the insurance company was not responding. We called the insurance company. Our call was the first call the insurance company had received regarding our repairs, and this was the 15th day La Mesa had it. We have the phone records of the calls. We were continually lied to for two weeks. We have escalated through HQ in order to get a phone call back.

We have had this unit in our possession less time than la Mesa. We will be demanding a full refund of the policy. Lying and blaming others (the insurance company) simply to hide the fact that the service department has done nothing is unacceptable. I equate La Mesa to the horrible reputation that Camping World has acquired with regard to the Thor. We need to pick up the coach in 4 days. Of course service is closed on the weekends. My recommendation: don’t buy the policy and take your unit else for service. The service tech at La Mesa actually said they need extra time in case they destroy a cabinet removing a wall. WHAT?!? How trained are these people. I have no confidence in La Mesa’s ability to carefully and correctly handle any repair after this statement. I recommend Jim at RV Renovators. Quality work, done in a timely fashion, with periodic updates.

Highly DISAPOINTED with La Mesa RV 7525 W. McDowell Rd. I do not even know where to start. After paying $64,546.00 in cash + another $3,990.00 for extra insurance, we never been treated so poorly!!!

    1. After 3 days in the 2021 Crossroads Cruiser, we woke up to 2 inches of water from broken water line behind refrigerator to the icemaker.

    2. How do we know it was the line to icemaker? After many unsuccessful attempts & many unanswered messages left to contact La Mesa RV we had to contact the makers of refrigerator to figure out how to get the icemaker working. The service people did not turn on the water to icemaker.

    3. Which brings me to turning on the water outlet value to the icemaker, my husband reached under the kitchen sink to turn valve and the board under cupboard fell because there was one staple holding the board up.

    4. Hot water tank will NOT work with electric ONLY propane. Who knows why I can NOT get anyone to answer the phone?

    5. Which brings me to the so called “We’ll Be Here After You Leave Today!” flyer. For the first 120 days after you purchase RV from La Mesa RV they will continue to provide support at toll free phone number. This is a laughingstock!!!! Never answer the phone & now all the sudden they will be out of office till the 12th of July. Why, so they can run the 120 days out. Bought this 2021 Crossroads Cruiser April 30, 2021. We are now at 40 days as of July 10, 2021.

    6. A/C unit in living room/kitchen is NOT cold.

    7. Gas lines run down the bottom of the frame so we can NOT block up the RV.

    8. Why would we need to block up RV you ask? Because electric levelers in the middle will NOT work. Keep getting an ERROR Code. Yes, I have called.

    9. And this brings me back to the 120 days we are here for you. We were told by the salesman that just because we live in Flagstaff, AZ they have a mobile unit to come fix this $64,546.00 RV. Outright lie!!!! No names mentioned the lady on the phone yesterday July 9, 2021 told me their mobile unit will cost us $149.00 for the first 50 miles & then $1.00 per mile after that. Do they realize we live 145 miles +? So let me get this right $249.00 for LA Mesa RV to honor their warranty for a brand-new RV. I AM APPALLED!!!! Wait folks it gets better.

    10. Sewer pipe outlet is put on crooked. Husband had a time hooking sewer up. Yes, we have had an RV for years, so we know what we are doing.

    11. Bathroom sink has a drip, make sure you do not leave the drain closed. Or we are going to flood again!!!

    12. Molding by the door was never fixed, we asked multiple times. How hard it to put a couple of staples in the molding? Apparently, extremely hard.

    13. Satellite system will not work with the dish system. Why? I can NOT get any answers from anyone.

    14. La Mesa RV had a whole month to get this 5th wheel ready for us before we picked it up. We had an appointment at 9 am in morning. We had to wait another 3-4 hrs. for them to get it ready. We have a business also, but apparently our time means nothing to LA Mesa RV.

    15. Electronic recliners will NOT work unless I unplug them and reset them. The recliner gets stuck into the up position.

LA Mesa RV should be ashamed in the way they have treated us!!!! Keystone should be ashamed of having LA Mesa RV as one of their dealers. Keystone should cancel their contract with LA Mesa RV, with this kind of service we would never treat our valued customers this way. For the price we paid for this RV we are HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!! Never, ever go to LA Mesa RV for a new RV you will get the shaft in the end but only after they receive their money!!!! Sadly, disappointed in LA Mesa RV 7525 W McDowell Phoenix AZ,

We believe La Mesa RV misrepresented the condition of a 2021 RV as "like new" when the RV had several major issues. La Mesa RV stated the original owners decided to trade in the RV after 400 miles because it was too small. We were assured there were no issues and that La Mesa service department would do a thorough inspection before delivery. This was obviously not true. We flew from WA state to AZ to take delivery and drive the RV back up to WA. On the trip home, the generator would not start several times, the batteries would not hold a charge despite solar, and the ultimate was the slide not retracting which required a 6 hour mobile service call to manually retract the slide so the RV could be driven. La Mesa RV was minimally responsive to our calls and was unable to solve the issues once we were able to reach service department.

La Mesa was unwilling to buy back the RV or help us find some resolution to the unusable RV. We trusted the reputation of La Mesa RV and are very disappointed and frustrated by the slow response, lack of communication, lack of concern for the inconvenience, lack of customer service, and especially for selling an RV as "like new" when it obviously was not in working order. Do not ever buy an RV with or at La Mesa RV. The dealer will do nothing to help you. I called the dealer I bought from in Mesa Arizona and spoke to them first to tell them about the fire that almost killed my family and they told me there was nothing they could do for us and that we should contact our insurance. IT was a Friday night and there was zero I could do other than call my insurance for a tow. I did exactly what they said and then called Keystone which is the manufacture company that made my vehicle hoping they would do something since my dealer failed to help. They told me that since I already contacted my insurance company that it was on them now and they couldn't help us. So I did what the dealer told me because they wouldn't help then Keystone won't do anything through warranty because La Mesa told me the wrong thing to do. See how this works yet? Now a little history.

I bought this RV a few months ago and brought it home in February. We bought it brand new, first owners. It comes with a year bumper to bumper manufacturer warranty from Keystone that our dealer is supposed to honor because they have a Keystone approved service depart. They didn't. I have moved my RV twice, went no more than from Mesa Arizona to Camp Verde Arizona where my new RV TT sat for 2 months solid before we decided to take a road trip to help my father in Indiana who has brain cancer so imagine my worry nobody wanted to help me and or honor the warranty. I thought buying new would help me.

So here below is my story and I am sad I even have to repeat this but as of now I don't trust Keystone, and I absolutely do not trust La Mesa. After all my complaining and pushing things, the dealer now calls me almost a week later saying they have found a place that will get it in and work on it. I fear they will find a way to make this not their fault. Everything worked fine before and everything worked fine pulling out. I didn't get but one exit up from where it sat for 2 months and thankfully because my son was hungry we stopped at a sonic where the trailer started smoking and a customer saw it when I had stepped away and put the fire out, thank god!

The two people that jumped into to help put out the fire also had to remove everything from the brake box because they needed to disconnect any power from it because it kept breaking out in fire. So they did and had to cut two small holes to remove wiring that was still smoking and catching fire. The two men that jumped in worked with RV's and wiring in the past with electrical experience and clearly stated this was a manufacture defect in the way it was started and the way the wiring was under the floor being pinched.

Needless to say, we have been blown off and this is a huge hit on our insurance when the company told us to do the wrong thing and we are out hotel, we are out, food, clothing and more because we can't even get into our slides as there is no power to the rv to open them. Our insurance will reimburse us $1000 for hotel but really should they be involved at all? NO, the dealer should have done what was right in the beginning. That won't cover even one week of our hotel where our RV has sat already without being touched yet.

I have been told that not only is LaMesa RV known for their terrible customer service but how them not honoring warranty work is too. It isn't even week one and I have already reached $1200 in hotels already. LaMesa called us and offered to pay us a lump some to help with expenses but we had to sign off on all liability for everything else. Per J. ** who stated "he is the decision maker who can make things happen!" Obviously I am not releasing them from not honoring anything. I can afford to pay for my hotel loses, my food loses and my clothing loses and more. However, not many are in the same situation as me. This could financially ruin most people and it is not right.

The principle of the matter has me ready to fight with everything I have. If you are a company and you give a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty then you should be made to honor it no questions asked. My personal insurance shouldn't be held responsible where it will make my insurance premiums go up because I took a hit on a claim because of ** wiring from the manufacture Keystone who doesn't do good work. Below is the story I have been sharing everywhere in order to help anyone in the future from making the same mistake as us to not only avoid any manufacturing RV owned by Thor industries and subsidiaries but to avoid all La Mesa RV companies all over the US because they all blew us off and chose not to help till today which now seems odd. Thanks for reading my story below and sorry for repeating myself.

My Keystone RV Air Cruise 33ft bunkhouse was 2 months old, has only been moved once to get to Camp Verde and then once to leave Camp Verde 1 exit up before leaving town to eat. I shouldn't have faulty wiring that almost killed my family by catching on fire. Keystone RV needs to step up and do the right thing. My insurance company should not be covering manufacturing issues and I shouldn't be out of pocket for hotels because their dealers don't honor their warranties. First our dealer told us they just couldn't help and to call our insurance. We called many other Keystone RV service providers and other La Mesa RV dealerships in Arizona; all Keystone RV preferred service and body places told us they couldn't help and it would take 6 weeks to even look at it to give me an estimated time frame for fixing or figure out what was even wrong.

We had to go to a none approved RV service facility to get someone to look at it within a week. Worst experience and worst customer service ever from Keystone RV approved dealers and service centers. Did I mention if it weren't for the random act of kindness from a stranger seeing the fire and using an extinguisher my family might have died from the propane and gas tank explosion before we saw the fire. Might I mention had we not stopped one exit up this would have happened on the highway and would have exploded before we saw fire..

If you are looking for a new RV don't get a Keystone and for sure don't use La Mesa RV anywhere. They all dismissed us. What is worse is Keystone basically treated us with the same poor service and chose to make us do all the leg work to get them to still do nothing. They refuse to even call where the RV sits and get pictures. We have called our lawyer and they told us to watch what happens first, let the work get done and if Keystone nor LaMesa steps up and does what is right then we will go after them after the fact for failing to deliver on promised service through our manufacturing warranty contract. In the meantime, am I to spend my life's earnings and savings to get them to do what is right? I am very disappointed and I hope to keep others from going through the same thing. I hope this review reaches far and wide.

We shopped RV’s for over a year before finally deciding to purchase a motor home from La Mesa RV (LMRV). We fell in love with a 2019 Class B and purchased it June 2020. Upon purchase, we received and followed the instructions from the LMRV “Indoctrination Specialist” which led us to kill our lithium batteries. He said to my wife and me, “This switch here, probably better to leave it on, don’t ever turn off this switch”. Three months later we had two dead $3,000 batteries.

We took it to LMRV facility in El Cajon, whereupon our Service Advisor’s (SA) first remarks were that it was going to cost us $195 just to figure out the problem. Then he proceeded to dish a little verbal dirt on “The Brand” which led me to believe that the product, which LMRV represents, advertises and sells, was viewed with some derision. It seems a cultural disdain exists at LMRV that seems to have transmuted from our first service advisor to the next. We were so disappointed and unhappy at this attitude that we paid the $195 extortion fee, took the vehicle off lot and had the batteries replaced, under warranty, at a brand-recommended facility 125 miles away rather than deal with such a dismissive, unprofessional attitude.

Shortly thereafter, we noticed that our refrigerator began freezing everything. Then the gauge for the freshwater tank malfunctioned and a significant freshwater tank leak appeared. So, we took it back to LMRV in El Cajon. Now ten days after dropping it off, it seems that work on our rig has ground to a complete halt because the service advisor who told us it was going to be covered under warranty has moved on within LMRV and his replacement is reneging on that promise to cover repair under warranty. Our new SA said he is in communication with “The Brand” and they are at loggerheads as to how to proceed. We were given information on the reason for the warranty problems with the 2019 model.

Apparently, the agreement between LMRV and “The Brand”, for warranty work, specifically excluded the 2019 models due to business issues between the two organizations. The manager over the service advisors has instructed and is still instructing the service advisors to NOT provide warranty work for the 2019 due to the issues between LMRV and “The Brand”. As consumers of the LMRV products and services, we should not be victims of the dispute between LMRV and “The Brand”.

Since the day we dropped off the vehicle, nine days came and went with no communication from anyone at LMRV until we called yesterday, prompting a return call from the SA. All of this has occurred even though we purchased the Portfolio Protection plan. The extreme disconnect between how LMRV promotes the RV experience in its televised advertising and the reality of what one gets at the El Cajon service facility is as different as night and day. We think a serious internal review may be in order to address the customer service culture within your organization, at least how it relates to “The Brand” product. This type of cultural attitude can only exist in a company when either supported by, promoted by, or ignored by senior management. Which is it?

We bought a 2010 Tiffin Phaeton from La Mesa/Albuquerque in late March of 2019. At that time, we asked about the batteries and they said they had filled them…only to find out on our first major trip that they were not!! We purchased the extended warranty – shame on me. What a sham as it has not paid much at all.

In late January of 2020, we took the unit in for several items – including the belts, batteries, microwave outlet and carbon monoxide detector (going off sporadically). We got our unit back early May after the first service manager (Mike) was “fired” and a new one (Robynne) came in and two weeks closure due to COVID-19. Mike told us all was taken care of, just before the two week closure, and it would cost us nothing. He was going to have the batteries replaced as they were bad as well as the detector as “they go bad” (plus it was covered by our very expensive warranty!).

After the closure, Robynne took over – She said the batteries were fine, belts had small cracks but nothing serious, and the detector never went off so didn’t replace. They did fix the wiring to the microwave however, when I turned on the power at home, there was a humming….that now needs to be explored! Additionally, when we got the unit back, the dome lights won’t turn off! We now have found a great shop that said the belts DO have to be replaced and the batteries ARE bad!!

We were told conflicting stories – and now when I call, I hear them say “don’t listen to him, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about”! I completed a survey, which they acknowledged when I called; however, they just ignored what I said. Obviously, I’ve been labeled the “trouble-maker”. If I have anything to say, we will NEVER walk into that place again – and I will tell everyone I can to BEWARE OF THEM!! They want the sales and the add-ons, but won’t stand behind anything their people say – instead, they fire them or put them on leave!!

My wife and I purchased a new travel trailer in 2015 from La Mesa RV at an RV show in Sacramento. Because of my disabilities and inability to perform regular maintenance myself, we purchased a 5-year extended maintenance plan which cost us an additional $5000. In the fifth year of the plan, the powered tongue jack stop working and I took it in for repair. Fortunately, the jack was a recalled item and was repaired free. The service department offered to also perform a free roof inspection and determined that a reseal was required. However, when questioned why the $1100 cost was not covered by the maintenance plan, I was told that the roof reseal is considered regular maintenance which is not covered by the plan, which brings into question what maintenance is covered by a maintenance plan.

Needles to say, I am frustrated and angry. It is the fact that when originally questioned the sales department repeatedly assured my wife and I that this is the very situation which we were assured the plan covered. Lesson learned. Carefully parse all maintenance contracts before purchase. Sales personnel are not above bold face lies.

We purchased a 2020 Accolade from La Mesa RV. Buying it was easy, though it has problems, leaks, small issues, and a front overhead cab window where the molding is separated from the frame enough to see pink insulation. After waiting on their schedule one month to be able to bring in our RV for warranty work, we dropped it off January 8th. It is now February 6th and we are finding out today that the parts needed are just being ordered TODAY!!! They won't be shipped until next week and will take another two weeks to get to La Mesa's service dept. We have been calling, texting this whole time between Entegra and La Mesa RV, and between the two of them we have been repeatedly lied to and been given the blame game routine to the point we are tearing our hair out.

FYI, I will also be posting this complaint on Entegra's site as well. La Mesa's rep admitted this morning that the rig wasn't even touched for repairs at all until January 26th! Each entity has been blaming the other, all-the-while telling us parts have been ordered (when they weren't), repairs have been effected (which they weren't), and a service mgr. at La Mesa RV has even been let go in the midst of all this chaos. Consumers, buying an RV is only half of the experience. You have been warned. The back half, the servicing of your RV will give you heart palpitations. It is so frustrating!!!!

On Oct. 29, 2019, we purchased a brand new 2020 Van Leigh Pine Crest Fifth Wheel for $57,000 (paid in full) from La Mesa RV in Phoenix, Az. After securing our payment, when the RV was presented to us, it was damaged. They did not tell us prior to finalizing the purchase, or at delivery. We noticed it prior to leaving, and found further preexisting damage 3 days later. (the first time using the RV). La Mesa did all they could to complete the entire transaction without ever disclosing preexisting damage, in hopes we would drive away before we noticed, putting it on us. We have also been told by an objective repair facility, there were attempts to repair and minimize the damage to the rear end and upon further investigation, there is obviously attempts to repair the damage to the slide. (damage noticed 3 days later)

Had we had knowledge that we were paying for Brand new, but receiving a damaged RV, we would have walked away. No ifs, ands, or buts. We had walked away from dozens for issues much smaller than these. Our paperwork states NEW it does not state ”AS IS”. Within days of delivery, we contacted Van Leigh and La Mesa. We have requested a refund for the return of the RV. They have referred all further communication to their Consumer Complaints Dept. Jay Castro.

Below are details: Our intentions were to buy a newer used RV. After an exhaustive search, we went to an RV SHOW hosted by LA MESA RV. We viewed several RVs before being asked if we would consider buying brand new. We had not, but looked anyhow. We were shown a high end model Van Leigh (a division of Tiffin) 5th wheel. Way over our budget. We shared that we had previously owned a Tiffin RV for many years, and knew they were quality. We were told they had base model of the same RV, back at the Phoenix store, at a substantially lower price. Subsequently, my wife and I found that model, at the show. Posted on the front of the coach was $59,000.

Our salesman (Sonny) located us inside this coach, saw how much we liked it and said, he didn’t realize it was at the show, not back on his lot. Then told us he could sell it for $50,000. I asked how he could reduce it that much, and he said, “We’ve had it on our lot for a while”. That answer didn’t raise any red flags.
*In hindsight, we seriously question whether the one we chose at the show was the same one they delivered to us.

Double our budget, a decision to buy that exact coach was based on these things; a Tiffin product would be built well and hold its value, and for peace of mind. With proper maintenance, a brand new coach should remain trouble free, in like new condition, well into the future.

We had both stressed over and over, no matter what, we must get an RV that does not need repairs, no matter how minor, now or in the near future. Recent and serious health issues have left me unable to do repairs and stress must be kept to an absolute minimum. Also telling them WE LIVE IN IT, so leaving it for repairs anywhere, for any amount of time is not an option. Our goal was to be back on the road again as soon as we bought it. We explained this repeatedly at every turn. With a full understanding of this, they sold us a new coach, aware that it was damaged.

Two days after the show, we purchased our brand new 2020 Van Leigh Pine Crest. At 8am I received a msg from Sonny informing us our RV was in the service bay, being prepped for delivery. (Pk up at 12noon- 1pm.) Prep included detailing outside, inside, and the PDI checklist (pre delivery inspection) the final inspection inclusive of every part of the coach, each of its components and operating systems. We arrived 12:45, it was still in PDI. At 3pm we did the paperwork, but must provide a confirmation that the full $57,000 had been deposited in their acct. before doing so. We finished, and waited another 20-30 min. while they finished PDI. It was after 4pm when the coach was ready (as it turned out, they had done very little, barely cleaned).

The person assigned to our walk thru was Steve. We began inside. As part of the walk thru, the slides were brought in and out. I noticed that the curb side slide wasn’t moving smoothly or level and didn’t sit right. I brought this to his attention; he explained they all tilt some in movement. That didn’t explain why it did not SIT level. I spoke up again asking about that, and got a dismissive response, “we’re not level, when the jacks are down and the RV is leveled, it will be fine”. I accepted his answer as the correct explanation. (our first 5TH wheel)

The walk thru concluded at the rear of the coach, as Steve was walking away, I noticed that there was damage to the lower rear panel. It was obviously dented in and scratched. I immediately called at him to come back, and pointed out the damage. It appears that it had been backed into a pole or something stationary enough to push in the fiberglass panel and (we noticed later) the metal trim at the base, and underneath, the mounting frame that the cover for the under carriage is supported with.

He said he knew nothing about it, (someone had just placed the temp. plate on it, 2.5 ft to the left of the dent) and several other people in the service bay all stated the same including Sonny. James ** (service dept.) came out to look (same story) and took pictures of the damage and stated he was writing up the report documenting the damage, and would be submitting it to the proper dept. to be repaired by La Mesa. Our RV had been on their lot for “awhile” and in their service bay 8hrs getting “prepped”, but no one noticed that our coach had obviously been involved in some sort of accident, and sustained damage. I noticed it at as soon as Steve stepped away (he had been standing directly in front of it). It was nearly dusk and I saw it plain as day. (See pics 12, 13, 14.)

Traveling to Orange County Ca. we stayed in hotels. Our first night (3 days after delivery) at a campground to stay in it, with the jacks down and RV level, we extended all slides. Immediately we noticed that the same slide I had spoken about during our walk thru was far from level. The entire corner of the slide sat uneven and had a cockeyed look. After checking the RV was truly level and pulling the slide back in and out, we realized that this problem was not the result of “the jacks not being down”, or “the coach not being level”. We had been lied to by Steve. I had conveyed to him a sincere concern regarding the appearance of the slide, inquiring why it did not sit level, and he assured both of us that what we were seeing was absolutely normal, stating that once the RV is level, with the jacks down, the slide will sit properly level.

With the slide all the way in, we climbed over the end of the couch so we could get a good look at the back side of the slide. We could now see that something had been torn off the slide, a large piece. (See pictures 4, 5, 6, 7). The 2x2x8 metal support that keeps the slide from overextending and supports the top half of the slide when extended had been torn away from the structure. The support on the opposite side of the slide is slightly bent, either from the initial incident that tore the other one off or just the burden of supporting the weight from BOTH sides. (See pic.8) From this view, it also was obvious what had caused the front facing panel to be bent forward, no longer flush with the wall, separated from the slide and slightly twisted. Explaining the whole cockeyed look at that corner. (See pics 3, 4)

The slide does not sit level in any position, and the twisted front panel is permanently and quite noticeably bent. (See pic 1, 2, 9) The location of this bracket makes the possibility that it had come off outside, or without knowledge, impossible. Whoever did this was aware of it. The bracket could only have come off INSIDE the RV. Moving RVs with the slides extended, we have learned is a common practice at dealerships, (La Mesa included) despite risk of damage to the slide components, and against MNFR. Warnings. We believe that is what happened. With any sudden stop or jerk to either side (pothole, curb) with a slide extended would cause this exact damage. However it happened, it was there before we took delivery. On their lot for “awhile”, obviously it was handled carelessly and improperly.

La Mesa broke an integral component completely off the slide, and left it unrepaired, causing further damage. Someone backed that RV into something, and an attempt was made to repair it. Had we had the prior knowledge that our coach had the damage to the back end, we would not have bought it. That alone would have made us walk away, if we had been told at signing. Regarding the damaged slide, if we had not been lied to at the walk through, and were told it had sustained damage that may or may not be able to be repaired to a new condition, we would have absolutely walked away, and demanded a refund before ever taking possession.

When I spoke to Jay **, their attorney, he did not dispute these facts. He just advised me LaMesa is willing to fix both of the addressed issues, (neither covered under warranty), wherever we are (in our travels) if I will advise him of the location and when. I told him I would not be engaging further, we are not in agreement. Worth mentioning, we had just signed paperwork stating all sales are final, no cooling off period, etc. No one at La Mesa told us anything different than that, Now their argument is, well you took delivery, you should’ve canceled the sale. Excuse me, how so? Our $57,000 had been in their account since 10 am that morning, and absolutely no one advised us that because of the damage, we had a right to walk away.

We have no desire to deal with La Mesa any further, under no circumstances do we trust them to repair damages caused by them and concealed by them. There is no way for us to know what other issues they have kept from us. Why should we put any trust in them? Absolutely not. Keeping the RV is an unacceptable solution. Dishonest, and absolutely NO INTEGRITY.

We bought an awning from them and they installed it on our trailer. We hardly ever use the trailer, and had only opened up the awning a couple of times. While driving down the road in Mesa, AZ, the awning just fell off. Thankfully we were not on the highway where it could have caused a vehicle following us to crash. They refused to help out, but after some prompting, they agreed to inspect the trailer and awning. It was pretty obvious after inspecting it that it was an installation issue. The manager did not bother to meet me in person or even inspect it himself. He had a service adviser handle everything. They did not get back to us like they said they would, but after following up, they said there was nothing they could do to help us out. This could have been a major liability issue had it come off on the highway causing an accident. It would cost them very little, but it is a big expense for us.

We purchased a brand new 2019 Fleetwood Bounder, 33 ft long in April of this year. The salesmen told us several things that were not true; i.e. the residential refrigerators do NOT run on propane. We drove our new motorhome to Nebraska; have you tried to herd cats??? It was almost dangerous to be on the road. There was so much "play" or wander in the drive train. When we returned for items to be "fixed" by the Service Dept, Lance knew immediately what we were talking about; there is a steering stabilizer that can be added that will take out approx. 80-90% of the wander. WHY would anyone send patrons out on the road with something that could be potentially dangerous?!

Apparently Fleetwood, Tiffin and Winnebago are all known for this issue. We were given a packet of appliance papers, i.e. manuals for the various items, i.e. microwave, water heater, etc. Nice, except NONE of the ones we wanted or needed matched the water heater, etc. We were also given a very nice packet with several 800 phone numbers listed; assured that someone would be able to help us if we had questions. I left at least 2 messages, maybe 3; no one ever returned our calls. I wanted to be sure to visit with the Sales Manager, Rich.

When we talked about some of the issues regarding the motorhome, Rich commented that one advantage of buying a USED motorhome is that the previous owners have had an opportunity to fix the glitches??! La Mesa RV does not need to worry about us buying anything, used or new, from them in the future. Their only concern was the sale; the Service Department has been wonderful to deal with, just not the sales department. We did ask about obtaining a diagram for the fuses, to help us figure out what goes to which appliance, etc. The Service department attempted to get one for us; unsuccessfully. I doubt that we will have any greater luck. I will certainly be looking elsewhere in the future.

Then you they tried to hide the fact of the fire and tell me that it had a small water leak and they had to delay delivery. This was an attempt to repair the vehicle and then deliver it to me and not disclose the fire or amount of damage. That never happen. I got a refund after a runaround and really disgustingly rude service. BUT LO and BEHOLD the vehicle is back 2 months later on their website as NEW. How disgusting is this dealership. The vehicle had extensive damage to the undercarriage, water tanks and electrical system. Someone needs to look into these corrupt business practices. DON'T EVER GO TO LA MESA.

Original review: The purchase process was terrible. Misinformation and incorrect contract numbers. They set the vehicle on fire while prepping for delivery. Then tried to hide it and delay delivery. I surprised them at the dealership to see a badly damaged vehicle and then they got nasty with me and told my wife and I that LaMesa didn't want to deal with us any further. This dealership is unethical and not sure if they are going to just repair this vehicle and sell it to someone else as new. Their corporate office was even worse. Afterwards I was amazed to learn that it was necessary to wait two days short of six weeks for an appointment to have new vehicle warranty of seven faults. During that wait I made temporary repairs in order to use the RV. Among other things this required me to make 4 telephone calls to the La Mesa RV Service Center as well as the La Mesa Service Center in Albuquerque NM. I did not get a single call back. I could not move the RV from my driveway over a curb without damage because the automatic entry step would not retract. I spent two days searching for a blown fuse and finally found a broken switch assembly which permitted moving the RV without damage.

During the wait for warranty work I looked for and found several reviews on my computer, all of which warned against having service done at La Mesa RV Service Center, El Cajon CA. (When picking up my RV six weeks later after the warranty work, which was done well, I was approached by an RV owner warning me not to have service done there based on his described awful experience.)

I have two problems related to parts which the parts specialist at La Mesa RV, San Diego told me I needed for my new RV. The first was a parts kit of several items for a price of $119.57. About $100 worth of the kit was for 3 drain hoses, none of which could be used in my RV. I asked for a refund but was refused. In order to fit the main hose in the only RV container I had to saw off the end with projections, which made the other two hoses useless in my RV. I consider this an unethical taking of approximately $100, since the parts specialist should have known that the hoses could not be used or kept in my RV.

The second item I was told I would need by the parts specialist at La Mesa RV, San Diego, was a lock and key set for the large outside storage compartment at the rear right side of the RV, at a cost of $88.33. The compartment had no visible lock, which of course is necessary to store anything of value if the vehicle is unattended, such as at a trailhead. I was amazed that there was no lock on the compartment and so were the technical specialists, since the three Winnebago RVs I had previously purchased all had locks on all outside compartments (and so were included all drain hoses in the sale).

When the La Mesa RV service specialists tried to install the lock I had purchased they found that the lock was there already, but had been covered with plastic and painted, which they uncovered. They then replaced the lock I had purchased in their parts store which I had insisted they return to me or refund to me. I am certain that the RV had either been purchased previously and the compartment damaged, or that it was damaged previous to sale to me and repaired, taped, and painted to hide the lock. Since obviously Winnebago would not have hidden the lock in manufacture, the parts specialist, an active representative of Winnebago, should have known this. The hidden lock should have been exposed prior to the RV sale.

Since the purchase of the RV on October 19, 2018, three months ago, I have been in constant contact with several personnel at La Mesa RV San Diego, often without reply for days, asking for assistance and at least for some refund for the loss of $207 in unethical treatment. Although I received some encouragement and assistance from two personnel, no actual assistance whatsoever had been provided. I am therefore still requesting some ethical consideration and refund for approximately @$200.

Took in for a few warranty issues, nothing major. It's now three months later and all I get is the run around about waiting for the manufacture to ok repairs. Called the manufacturer about this and they told me they try to approve in 24 hrs. Don't think they know what they're doing.

La Mesa’s management and service department were very nasty and did not follow through on any of the promises they made before we signed on the dotted line. We were told that they service coaches from bumper to bumper. Immediately after we drove the coach off the lot we experienced dangerous steering capability. We were told it’s ours now and not their responsibility. They don’t even test drive any coaches before a customer purchases it. And they didn’t give us an opportunity to do so when we came for the orientation. Run away and don’t stop at any La Mesa show!!!

I started my search in RV Trader the beginning of September 2018. I found the MH I was looking for on the internet and the MH was located at La Mesa RV in Ft Myers. I had several conversations with the internet sales person, who also sent me additional pictures. I made arrangements to fly from California to Florida to inspect the MH and finalize the transaction the end of September. I advised them of my plans and the date I would be arriving.

On the agreed arrival date, I called to get a ride from the Hotel they had suggested to the lot. They were surprised that I was there and advised me that the MH was not ready and that there were things that needed to be repaired. After a heated conversation the MH was ready to go the next day. I was given temporary registration and plates so I could return to California. The temporary plates are good for 30 days. As the first 30 days was getting close to expiration, I requested another temporary tag and registration. I called many times to have my permanent documents expedited to no avail.

Jupiter Tag and Title is the useless entity supposedly doing the 3rd party registration. I checked their reviews and they were not good. I have had to ask for my third temporary tag and registration. Stay away from La Mesa RV to avoid the aggravation of what is supposed to be an enjoyable experience. They have no understanding of good customer service or customer appreciation.

We purchased a Kodiak Trailer on 10/25/18 at the Oro Valley Marketplace RV show. Our extreme disappointment and quite frankly disbelief that we had in good faith purchased the Kodiak trailer, signed all the documents only to find out that a gross error was made on the dealerships part. On 10/26/18, Al the salesman called my husband regarding the error and arrangements were made to come in on 10/27/18 to resign the papers, the papers the dealership created in error. Can you imagine our surprise and horror to learn that our trailer had been re-sold! Just like that we didn't matter, just the sale did. The disrespect was inconceivable. La Mesa RV sold a trailer that had already been sold. How did that happen? Is this a common practice at La Mesa RV? We certainly didn’t expect this kind of treatment.

I researched the Roadtrek SS Agile for weeks, the only reason I went to La Mesa RV was it was the closest dealer. Like the other guy stated there is a $999 dealer fee to cover prep. You pay extra for tax, tag etc... We looked at several vehicles on Sat 10/5. We returned to pick up our Roadtrek Monday 10/8. We thought it looked different but we chalked it up to being outside rather than inside. In the either we were happy. But we were missing a box of extras, like the remotes and books, the black bag etc.

During the walkaround the entertainment center didn't work because the remotes weren't there. "We'll overnight them to you." That didn't happen but two days later a guy dropped off the box. No help no information, see ya, bye bye. At least I got the books, better than most. So after a couple of days trying to get things right I discover the TV Antenna doesn't work. Several calls and messages and nothing. We found out that the vehicle was shipped to Port St.Lucie on Saturday after we left (not the one we saw) and they forgot the box. It was impossible to prep this vehicle or checked everything out without "The Box", other than maybe vacuumed out.

Our salesperson was absolutely terrific. It went downhill from there. We came to purchase a Class A motorhome, and ended up buying a Class C. A very pushy manager misinformed us about the financing between the two units, which we discovered later. We previously owned over 10+ motorhomes in the past. When we went to pick the coach up in Sanford, we found out that the finance people between Daytona and Sanford didn't communicate. We have to go now to the DMV to get our tags straightened out. As it goes for delivery, it gets worse. The outside was not clean, the inside was never cleaned, and popcorn was all over the place. Our walkthrough was a joke. We have no manuals on anything, except the sprinter chassis and two operator manuals. We had to beg another salesperson for a screwdriver to put the temporary tag on. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership.

I purchased a new Roadtrek in Sept of '18. Brought home knowing that several items were missing and was informed that when I bring it in in 2 weeks everything will be taken care of. In fact they wrote a invoice of "we owe you". Well I brought it back along with an item that needed repair as it did not work, well 3 months later I still did not have the vehicle fixed. Yes I did get the usual the parts are on order. They sent the wrong parts, the parts are on back order. They take 10 days to come from Canada. They changed the wire harness 5 times. The mechanic that does the work is on vacation this week, and on and on. Meanwhile I get a notice saying how do I like my vehicle now that I had it 3 mos. Boy talk about adding insult to injury.

I said I had a rally I did not want to miss and they let me have it the following week. I went on the rally and found out the area that they worked on still did not work so after Christmas I got a hold of the service mgr and asked to have it looked after. I was turned over to his service writer who said the soonest she could get me is over a month away on Feb. 6, 2019. I came in at 1100 am as I was told and everyone looked at me as if I was an alien from somewhere else. They did not have me listed anywhere. I still left it there. After a week I called in asking about it. No it's not in the shop yet. Now I also had mentioned that the window somewhere in back of the sink was leaking and during a rain a lot of water was on the floor.

In another week they said they were too busy to bring it in. This figured as I had read that they were hiring mechanics. I called the mfg and was advised to bring it to another of their dealerships. I promptly went down, picked the coach up and made the appointment. The items were taken care of. Oh and coming home the hatch door on the hot water tank blew off. And got destroyed. This was one of the items that was stated "we owe you". In three mos time this could not be fixed? Well after buying a new hatch and painting. It was quite a disappointment and I know that If I were to ask for reimbursement from La Mesa it would be easier to ask for the pope to turn protestant. We recently purchased a 2018 Intent from La Mesa RV in Daytona Beach FL and picked it up in Sanford, FL. The La Mesa RV sales team in Daytona was very nice BUT this is where it stops. The financing representative tried to “make” us sign our contract adding $6000 worth of warranty items to it! Unless we had reviewed the contract carefully we would have completely missed it. We had insisted we did not want this even before he printed the contracts out and he argued with us stating we MUST sign the contract with the $6000 on it stating that when we picked up the unit it would be taken off.

I was not born yesterday! This is dishonesty at its worst and Winnebago should be ashamed to associate its long standing and excellent brand with such a dishonest company like La Mesa. I understand their volume with Winnebago and the revenue that you generate from La Mesa in general. After I told them I would walk from the deal if he didn’t reprint the contract WITHOUT the $6K he reluctantly reprinted it and his demeanor became combative and nasty. FAR from customer friendly.

BUT it doesn’t stop there. We left a deposit of $500 with them and was given a receipt for it. When we went to pick up the coach and met a different finance person in Sanford and after we had signed all papers, we had to ask about the $500 deposit. It was nowhere on any of the final signed paperwork. After discussion the finance person again reluctantly put a check request in and and gave us a copy of it and said we would have our deposit returned within a week. We are now starting the 3rd week and no check.

When we called we were given the run around and a promise of a returned call. Of course no call! This is YOUR agent, your dealer the one you gave a gold star for on your website! We cant be the first customers who have complained about La Mesa’s shady dealings but yet they get the gold star. Their hubris is loud and clear and it only tarnishes and damages the valued Winnebago brand especially when you endorse and award the a “favored” status on your website. Remember we who are customers. Without us there would be no need to have dealers. This is how owners of your entry level coaches are treated; as second class customers.

In January I purchased a 2018 Hymer Aktiv (list price $106k) from La Mesa in Davis, CA (sales are now in West Sacramento). Nothing regarding the shower pan, roof or the radio was mentioned during the inspection/orientation. I spotted drops of water in the moonroof at the forward end of the van but I was told it is because they just pressure washed the unit so the water probably sprayed up under the lid and is simply dripping down. I have no experience with RV's so I took his word for it. I noticed after departing with my new purchase that the radio was popping up warnings constantly so I informed the service dept.

The next thing I noticed was leaking from the shower pan, the water would travel out from under the shower and flow across the floor and then disappear underneath cabinetry. La Mesa Service looked at it and reported to me that there were no problems with it. The fantastic roof fan leaked water when it rained and I had to capture water in cups, the ceiling was soaked with water. I saw mold growing. I had to wait more than a month before the service department could repair the issue, they said they cleaned the mold and said the leak that I saw in the moonroof was probably water that had traveled through the ceiling from the fantastic fan to the moonroof...

Now, months later, another technician looked at the shower pan and noticed that the pan has a crack which was filled with silicone. The technician was familiar with the RV model and was confirmed that this was not normal (I spoke with the manufacturer and they said they would not ship a unit out with that fault so it is obvious that La Mesa found and tried to fix it prior to selling the unit). La Mesa re-filled the crack in the tub for me but the pan still leaks, and now I have to wait more than two months before they can fit me into their schedule. Knowing how they work, they won't order a new pan until they look at it again so that means I possibly have to wait another month or two after that, so November?

Just recently I saw that the backside of the kitchen cabinetry is de-laminated, obviously the water leak is causing damage to the unit. When I complained about the radio and the other items a salesman actually asked me sarcastically if I want to buy another unit. WTF. Did I mention I am a full-timer? This makes life very difficult and stressful and now I'm worried about mold. Nothing is perfect but jee wiz.

We purchased two RVs over the course of a year, first one used. Second one new. We were delayed on receiving the first used one because they had to inspect every system to ensure quality. We had a sewerage spill as a iPhone was stuck in the black water valve... guess they forgot to check that. I repaired it myself while on holiday. When we test drove the new one I mentioned a vibration in the front end at speed, it was written into the sales papers and I was assured it would be checked and rectified. Going through the orientation I asked about the vibration and was told they sent it out and all is good. Well it wasn't but I dealt with it and worked around the speeds where it was really bad.

As I'm preparing for a upcoming trip I decided to have the tires rebalanced. Much to my surprise I had a bent wheel... Hmmm if they had it sent out for the pre sale vibration check they would have found the bent wheel. Please do not believe a word they say after you leave the sales dept. Regarding service... oh what could I say. I paid for a special coating. Yeah right. It was never applied but they are going to recoat it after the fact. They repaired a leaking window but you guessed it still leaking. Waiting since September for new vinyl graphics for the front, hopefully it'll happen sometime this year. It takes 4 to 6 weeks to make a appointment for service then you go through the parts ordering song and dance. I could go on and on. Some people walk away happy, I try to keep my sense of humor about everything as I believe my service advisor is truly trying to provide quality service.

My husband stated that we were not ready to buy a RV yet but was looking for information on costs and required downpayment. My husband also stated that when we were ready to buy that we wanted to go thru our existing bank who held our existing RV loan. La Mesa RV stated that in order to provide us with the potential cost with downpayment that they would need to run our credit one time. My husband reiterated that we were not ready to purchase and Barry stated that was fine. La Mesa RV then proceeded to submit our credit application to multiple banks which resulted in multiple hard inquiries appearing on our credit reports.

When I contacted the credit agencies to have these hard inquiries expunged, I was informed by Experian and Transunion that I would need letters from each of the banks that processed the credit request asking to have the hard inquiries removed. The banks stated that they could not do this as the requests were "Dealer-Initiated" and that I would need to speak with La Mesa to have them resolve my issue. I spoke with Frank **, Finance Manager after requesting a call back from the La Mesa RV Finance Manager. He apologized for my experience but stated that La Mesa RV is not able to create the requested letter for me as they cannot intercede on behalf of an individual in terms of their credit report.

I then contacted the La Mesa RV Customer Relations team on 6/11/2018 and spoke with Jay ** on 6/12/2018. Mr. ** contacted me back after obtaining my file and stated that no letter would be available as there were no records created by either Frank ** or Barry ** (Sales) stating that (1) we were not ready to purchase and (2) we did not approve our application going out to multiple banks as we wanted our credit application only to go to our existing bank.

No apologies given and when I asked to speak with the President/CEO of La Mesa RV, Jay informed me that the President/CEO was traveling extensively and would not return my phone call for at least 4-5 weeks. Jay went on to state that the President/CEO would refer me back to him as Jay handles all issues and there would be no available recourse for me in this case. I informed Jay ** that due to this response that I would not be doing any future business with La Mesa RV and will be submitting a complaint.

We're on our 3rd Travel trailer, But the First time purchasing from LaMesa RV Fort Myers. My husband & I are in our 70's have worked in Sales for years. We have never meet so many rude, incompetent, people working in one company, Monday April 30, 2018 we had our orientation class, which went very well. Next stop Finance - he was either having a bad day, or just didn't like us! Maybe, because we were asking questions! Directly under the "Price of Vehicle" Is "Dealer Services Fee" $995. So of course we questioned this amount. "It was for Prepping your camper," O.K. So I googled "dealer service fee". "This is a fee that a dealer will to charge you for preparing the Vehicle (RV, T.T.)". It's a ridiculous attempt at making an extra profit, because vehicle preparation is simply a part of doing business! We didn't want to be thrown out of his office, so we just paid the fee!

While in Finance, our CSR Stacy ** stopped by, asked us if we wanted our T.V. Installed (which we brought with us) on a swing bar? Cost $170. Never mentioning that if on a swing bar it would be permanently mounted! Which our CSR conveniently forgot to mention to us. FYI our camper has an Outside TV Bracket! When we finished in Finance, our camper was parked outside all hooked up to our vehicle! My husband decided to walk around the camper to do a double check! He noticed the latch right behind the ball was NOT in locking mode! When my husband tried to lock it, The locking mechanism would not lock into place, and the paddle lock would not go through the hole.

We were being sent out with an unsafe ball & hitch! We found the mechanic that had installed the hitch. He worked on it for several minutes, then said "Oh I know the problem." He struck a screwdriver through the hole and jiggled it down. Saying "There You GO!" My husband asked if we had to do this every time? Mechanic just said "No, it'll get better!" Tuesday, April 1st we were going on a 3 day shake down Cruise with our NEW camper. Our first day, we started making a list of it.

Within an Hour, we had a list of Items that had Not been taken care of during The $995. Dealer Prep! As friends stopped by, everyone immediately noticed the TV, just because someone in the factory had slapped a white sticker on the wall that's Where the TV Was installed, With wires and cords hanging down the wall! This is when we realized the TV was Mounted Permanently! (We have an outside TV Bracket) (Intelligent people are able to Think Outside the box!) Not La Mesa RV Fort Myers Florida! The wood Frame around the bed and Table were ALL coming apart! I decided to try out the shower, within minutes the water was backing up in the shower and ready to overflow! When I yelled at my husband to open the Grey Tank. Out came, pieces of Wood, caulking, molding, sawdust!

When we mentioned this to our CSR, She said “Oh, that's just building materials left over from the factory!" REALLY. This is when we decided to leave our campsite 2 days early, return to La Mesa So they could fix what was Not done the first time. Back at La Mesa - We were reprimanded by our CSR - Stacy **. People Make Appointments, and What Gave Us the Right to Just Show and expect Our Camper to be worked On! I wanted to say "if everything had been done correct the First Time, we would still be at the campground, that we had paid for!" Instead, we Cleaned out the refrigerator, freezer, our clothes, everything in the camper so we could leave it with La Mesa!

Friday April 4, La Mesa Called us to come get our camper. When we arrived, our camper was parked next to the waiting room. The door was open, so we walked outside and stepped into OUR camper! That was when Steve ? GM stepped in and began YELLING at us for being in Our Camper! My husband said "sorry, I didn’t see a sign saying Don't Step Here.” While the GM proceeded to YELL, We don't need signs, I'M telling YOU! Then our CSR enters, when I say "a 5 year old could have done a better job mounting the TV!" That's when we were shown a piece of paper saying we were OK with a swing bar! NEVER telling us it was a permanent Fix! And we didn't expect to see hanging wires! My husband removed the swing bar, and Put the TV Up the Way it should have been done! FYI we now have a New TV swing bar which we paid $170. Is now Sitting on our workbench!

There was ONLY one person at La Mesa that knew what he was doing. Mike ** - Worked on the Ball & Lock for 3 hours, Modifying until it Was Right! There was another mechanic who came in and repaired ALL the other items until they were done RIGHT! La Mesa really needs to have a Class for its GM's & CSR's How to treat customers AFTER they've Purchase a Camper! Customer Service doesn't Stop As Soon as The Stamp is on the paperwork Paid In Full!

YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK! It's April 11th 2018, you're too late to enjoy a new RV this summer! La Mesa RV has a slogan "Experience Life." That slogan is open to your interpretation - here's mine. December 15th 2017 I knew exactly what I wanted. A 2018 ERA 70M by Winnebago. It's been 10 years since I had bought a Sprinter and the warranty was one thing I remembered because it was so short - 3 years or 36,000 miles. The salesperson stated the warranty is now 100,000 miles. I was impressed by that since my 2008 needed $16,000 in repairs over the course of one year's time starting at 50,000 miles, so that was a big selling point. Once I am sitting in the finance department the warranty is back to 3 years or 36,000 miles and they want to sell an extended warranty for $7100.00.

While negotiating they said they would sell the warranty at their cost. When I asked to see their cost, they weren't ready for that question. They said they couldn't because they have no paperwork showing the cost so I settled at $3500. The deal is done - just need to wait for pick up. The day before delivery, my new service adviser Mike ** calls to inform me that the RV has a problem with a USB port, GPS, and a vibration, but all is ok. It's in the shop getting looked at and the delivery day is still on. They said that they balanced the tires, updated the software for the GPS, and fixed the USB. On delivery day, I take a train to Davis. My RV is in a tented area getting cleaned, I do a walk around and I start seeing paint problems, then while the sales staff and I are looking at the RV and how beautiful it is I noticed some black marks on the Winnebago-added trim.

While it does not stand out at first glance, there is definitely a faded look you wouldn't expect on a new vehicle. The sales staff plays it down and tries to buff it out with no luck. Everything that needs attention is listed on a work order to be addressed at a later date. My first trip was to Fort Bragg. The speed limit on 128 is 55 mph but the RV feels better between 45-55 mph. But wait - there is a very significant vibration, even the stitching on the steering wheel is blurred and hard to hold. Then I find myself pumping the brakes every time, they feel soft and spongy. I tried to use the GPS but when you put in the first letter for the destination city it goes to the next page "Item not found." I run the heater and find the vanity and supplies are all 119 degrees a 30-degree difference from the front of RV. The TV has no power and bathroom pocket door has a big gauge.

There is now a total of 22 items in need of attention. On my first trip to the service department, I meet Mike **. I start with the GPS because I assume this should be easy to resolve. I asked Mike ** to put in my address, he puts in "S" and it goes to "Item not found". He plays with it for 3-5 mins and asked me for my zip code. He hits enter and the city shows up but with a list of every street in town and you have to scroll down to find the one you are looking for. Then I'm told, "A friend has one of these and that's how it works." We finish going through the 22 items. We are almost done and Mike ** wants to know what 10 items I want fixed this trip! Their policy is only 10 items per trip to the service department! AND it's brand new! I was told they fixed the GPS and the vibration prior to this - nothing was done. Finally seven weeks later repairs are supposedly done.

It took SEVEN WEEKS and communication was nonexistent! It was so bad I had called their customer service department and spoke with Mr. **. Only then did I hear from Mike **. I had asked by e-mail several times if the vibration, brakes, and paint were taken care of. While they would reply to the e-mail, they would avoid my questions. Finally I received a e-mail from the service manager that they test-drove it and there was no vibration. They waited SEVEN WEEKS to tell me the paint problems will not be corrected - that the flaws are acceptable per Winnebago. When I pick up the RV I noticed the pocket door for the bathroom was replaced but sitting 5" behind the door frame. Mike ** sends the RV back to repair the door, but once home I found they didn't even put in the doorstop for the other Direction.

The work order states front wheels needed balancing and brakes are good. After SEVEN WEEKS in their shop I still have a significant vibration but now it's at different speeds - and still pumping brakes to stop. The heater still gets bathroom excessively hot. I opened up the compartment where the heater is and find ducts not fastened, or loose. I repaired it myself in 10 minutes. I took the RV to Fletcher Jones Mercedes in Fremont. They find rims are bent! I called Mr. ** and his answer was to give me my money back! I don't want my money back! I want a working RV in the brand new condition I paid for. Mr. ** will not replace the rims.

The manufacturer had good prices, and the space of the cabin and in general of the whole RV is quite wide and this helps the comfort of the passengers during the trip. For children they are perfect, they have a good space to move or play on the road. They are very comfortable to drive long distances. In my experience the vehicle is quite resistant, and could cross difficult roads without problems and is also a vehicle with a good performance engine although it consumes some extra fuel. In my last family trip, I had to recharge gasoline more times than I had to recharge before with my RV Antigua, and this implies extra expenses during the trip.

There needs to be a better insulation to keep both the hot and cold air from seeping through to the inside of the RV. Other than that, all is well. I like that they make use of the limited space with smart design. It is exciting and fun. They also have the best overall quality of any RV manufacturer. I chose this particular manufacturer because it came highly recommended from both my family and friends. And I am glad I took their advice because I couldn't be happier with my RV from this brand. I would give a hearty recommendation to them.

RV in general is great for traveling especially with family. And when I think of RV I think of the La Mesa brand. It's fast and nice. Long trip is easier for little kids instead of using a regular car. I personally like to design things so decorating the RV is very fun and interesting thing to do when I'm bored. Something I like about the RV is the design in the outside and inside. It's simple and unique. Though more color for the RV could be nice since I don't like plain things. There is only a few range of color which I think is lowkey boring. The ceiling should also be taller especially for tall people like me. And prices for RV could be a bit cheaper. But my experience has been great overall and I recommend RVs for family with little kids who want to travel. Or people who love traveling in general.

I liked their quality workmanship they put into each RV. I like that it had no sway or air disturbance imbalance when you passed or other vehicles passed you. It was so quiet when running besides being diesel. We actually went to the place of manufacture to see how the RV was put together and the safety of the materials used. It was phenomenal. Everything was top notch. However, I would change the ceramic tile they used for the kitchen and bath to a more flexible material, since some of the tiles broke or cracked while vehicle was in motion.

However, the design is pretty bad in my opinion, but everything else I would leave because they are very nice and fine. My overall opinion is very good because this company can make very nice RV, that I could use at camps. And other places where I need an RV, like at home and at work. Where to begin. When we purchased our 2017 Tiffin Allegro in San Diego it was like a bad sitcom. It wasn't ready when we were told it would be. We ended up waiting about 4 hours in their office before we could drive to Yuma to take out of state possession. By the time we got to Yuma it was pitch black in a city we had never been before. The drivers were great and helped us get to Wal-Mart for the night. The time spent going over the unit was only an hour. For those of us who have never owned a RV, we would have liked more time. The head of accounting gave us the temporary license and told us we must mount it on the right-hand corner of the windshield when we took possession. The drivers had never seen this but told us if that is what he said we should do it.

A couple of days later we got a call from him saying it was a mistake and could we come back to San Diego right away and straighten it out. We said no, we would mail it to him, but we were not returning to San Diego. We overnighted it and to thank us he sent us a gift certificate that originally was for $75, but he crossed that out and put in $100. He did not sign it, but put on a sticky note saying thank you. Do we really think anyone will honor this? Now fast forward 1 year and we are in Phoenix for the second time getting work done. The original service tech decided we were too demanding when after being told it would be done in a week was not ready. They were waiting for authorization from Tiffin to do the work.

Now it could be coincidence or not, but the slide was adjusted a few months ago as the tiles were wearing. After that a screw came loose and gouged out two tiles. So our question was "Who is responsible? La Mesa or Tiffin", but they wouldn't do anything without Tiffin authorization. Our rep was not authorized to encourage Tiffin to respond so we were sent to the General Service Manager who was able to get Tiffin to overnight parts for repair. We were told the parts would arrive the following week and everything would be done by the following Friday. We checked in with La Mesa on the next Monday where we found the General Service Manager to be on vacation for a week. We then requested to talk with the original service rep.

He did show up for an hour, and then his remark was that it wasn't his issue anymore. We could talk with his supervisor if we wanted. Freddie has been the only employee who seems to understand customer service. He normally does not handle individual problems but works in fleet service. But he has been very kind and courteous. He told us our original service rep would be responding to our needs and would be our contact person. The parts did not arrive until the Friday we were to pick it up. Nobody called us to let us know. We had to call them. We were told it would be ready Monday by 4 PM.

We decided we needed to deal with Freddie as he was the only one who responded to our calls. We showed up on Monday about 2 PM and guess what? No really, guess! Absolutely nothing had been done. Not one darn thing. And for whatever reason there seems to be a problem with the house batteries, even though it has been plugged in for two weeks. We got the General Service Manager involve, again, His attitude was "stuff happens." A very unimpressive response. As full timers we had been staying with friends and in a hotel. Yes, stuff happens, but he wouldn't even pay for a hotel room. Freddie said he would top off the gas tank. Again Freddie was the only one who seems to understand customer service.

So here we are today, they have told us it will be ready by noon with all work done. Do we believe this will all come together? My husband wants to use the gift certificate, I do not think they will honor it. It just seems this company is interested in selling you a RV and then they don't want to be bothered. Be very careful and ask more questions. We didn't know what we didn't know and they have been less than helpful in helping us.

This the by far the worst experience of any of the many RV that my wife and I have purchased over the years. This is a company that will do anything to get the sale, but after the papers are signed look out. Straight downhill from there. To start off with they took our license to have them photocopied. They never returned them to us. We only found out when my bank required that I fax over a copy of our license so we could do a money transfer and found they had not returned them. Called them and was told by the salesman that they had them for a week... No phone call nor did they try to contact us. Had them send to us via FedEx and instead of sending to our Florida address they sent on off to our home in Indiana.

After a month finally got them back. We only given 1.5 hours to get all our belongings from one camper to another. The person who was supposed to be helping only could say that we had to hurry because their drivers had to be back to their office before dark. No help whatsoever other than the reprimand that we had to hurry. After of having our camper for a 2 weeks still have not gotten our second remote for second TV that they gave to someone else. They flat out lie to your face and do exactly the opposite. We were told that we would be contacted by one of their managers to address our issues and this has not happened even after many requests. There are many issues that we will have to do on our own. I have no confidence in this company backing anything that they say.

In November 2016 we purchased a used 2015 Rockwood Mini Lite travel trailer from the Fort Myers, FL LaMesa dealership. By December 2015 the floor went bad. LaMesa did nothing to help. We paid to have the trailer shipped back to the manufacture and paid to have a new floor installed.

When we finally had a chance to use the trailer - May 2016 - discovered that 1 of the propane bottles was manufactured in 2013 and the other 2005. The 2013 bottle although 2 years older than the trailer can be refilled, but the 2005 bottle can not. Not sure how they get away with filling an outdated propane bottle, but I guess when you are as dishonest as they are you do what you want - legal or not. Called the sales person, explained the situation, he said "that is above my pay grade" and he would contact the service department manager. Service manager called me and the end result was he told me "the tank works, so it's fine" and they would not replace the tank. Small item perhaps, but we paid the market price for the unit and they made their money and provided us with an unusable item.

Bought new Winnebago View in April. It's now Sept and no support or response from dealer to make this RV right. I've yet to use it. Many issues including a nonworking refrigerator. The big issue, is upon inspecting this unit the next morning, realized it was damaged and the issue was not disclosed. Repair will cost 13 percent of units cost and will take over a month. The issue is it appears it was in a sandstorm and has hundreds of significant paint chips from front to back on drivers side. Even the glass has chips. RV had the $6300 full body paint. They tried to say this was normal as all Winnebago RVs are damaged like this. The service writer saw it and said it's excessive. The sales manager then looked at it and said it's excessive and said he would get the Co. customer service rep to come up with a solution. He also offered me $500 as make right for a $14k issue.

The customer service rep said he won't do anything about it, that's it's normal for Winnebagos to have this much damage, then it was there is no warranty for repairs like this, then it was noticed post purchase, so it's my problem. End result is it was not disclosed, and it's not their issue. Winnebago said it's the dealers issue as it happened in their possession. I ask for a replacement like unit, but none damaged promptly, before DMV paperwork was sent in. No response, no solution other than it's nothing they will take care of. Won't buy from these folks or Winnebago.

I can't believe all Winnebagos come damaged as the norm as when we looked at other units, this is the only one with this damage, maybe they just lie. Spent 100k for a damaged RV that still has issues that keep it from being used. Currently, the chassis battery is dead. Something drains the battery over a couple of weeks, making it unreliable anyway. Worst customer service ever, worst delays ever seen for repair and parts lack of taking car of issues on a new motorhome. Scumbags!

The end of July 2015 we purchased our 2016 Sunstar Winnebago Motor Home from La Mesa RV in Fort Myers, Florida. The sales experience was great, Steve ** was excellent with the financing and selling the extended warranty to us and the RV body finish protection, all of that was very pleasant. A couple of days after taking our prize possession home we noticed the rear wall separating on the outside on the driver's side next to the bumper. We called to have them fix it. 3 months later they manage to work it into their service department. The repair was a larger screw to fix the separation without resealing to prevent further water damage. There was a leak in the front entrance on the wall next to the door and the sheet rock was buckling all over that wall. That entire was replaced and so far that has not leaked anymore.

BUT, the whole back wall of the RV is saturated due to water seepage and has about an inch separation which is also pushing the whole rear bumper away from the RV. Called La Mesa to make an appointment so we could get this fixed prior to making a long trip and like always was told it would be a month or more before they can get it in to look at it. Took it in and the service writer, Steve, told us it would not be under warranty but he would talk to Mark, the service manager who was the service writer when the original repair was done shortly after we purchased the RV. Mark was quick to inform us their work was guaranteed for 90 days and that included extended warranties or ANYTHING they did and we would be responsible for the repairs.

Our first trip with this motor home resulted a break down in St. Louis, Mo. where we waited 4 hours on a wrecker on the side of the interstate because of a cut in the radiator hose caused by a sharp piece of metal from the frame rubbing the hose. Made it to Ohio only to have the AC unit stop working and nobody could recommend someone to repair it. Contacted Mark at La Mesa in Fort Myers with both incidents and he was very passive and very bothered by my calls to him since I was not in Florida when we had these issues and called him to see if he had any recommendations to help us. We let the problem with the AC go and all at once it started working again and did so the rest of the trip.

A few months later we went back to Missouri and the AC stopped working again, we took it to Camping World in Springfield and they had the RV for 3 days, it started working on its own and it ran the whole time they had it, hoping it would stop so they could find the problem. It didn't stop until this July and we needed it. Called, you guessed it, Steve at La Mesa in Fort Myers, Florida, was given the same run around with them being too busy.

The Service Department sucks. They are even lousy giving excuses!!! Take heed and do not purchase anything from La Mesa RV in Fort Myers, Florida. Do not attempt to have any repairs done at La Mesa RV in Fort Myers, Florida. Mark is a mouth piece that tries to sale you a discount on repairs that should have been done right the first time under new owner warranty and he lies and says he has not talked to you about the problems you are experiencing after speaking with you and brushing you off on multiple occasions.

Four weeks ago, my husband and I flew to Ft. Myers, Florida to purchase a brand new 2017 Winnebago Tour. We worked with a salesperson from La Mesa in Mesa, Arizona. We purchased the vehicle on a Saturday and stayed at a RV resort 1/2 mile from the dealership. We discovered that there were a lot of items that did not work. When we returned to the dealership on Monday and told them of all the items that did not work, they said they were aware of this and decided not to tell us about them before we purchased the motorhome. Of course, they have our $300,000+. This meant driving the RV back to Arizona with a brand new vehicle that had issues, some of them safety.

We pulled into the La Mesa in Mesa, Arizona after driving for five days from Florida. Our motorhome has been in the shop since then - three weeks. The vehicle has a three year warranty which is a joke. Even though we had a long list of items that needed repair, the service dept. said they had to get everything approved from Winnebago before they could get parts and fix the RV. In addition, the refrigerator does not work, nor has it worked (which the dealership was aware of). It is a brand new Samsung refrigerator and La Mesa said they are waiting for parts. Really, three weeks? We have no one that is an advocate for us. Everyone seems to pass the buck. This whole experience has been a nightmare. I hope that anyone who considers buying a RV, trailer or camper from La Mesa will read all the reviews that are posted and buy from another dealership.

I just spoke with Charlie, LaMesa Sales Manager and he does not seem to understand. WE HAVE STATED THAT WE WISH TO NOT PROCEED WITH THE PRELIMINARY RETAIL ORDER ON THE 2017 TIFFIN ALLEGRO BREEZE 32BR!!! There have been several inconsistencies with regard to the safety of the motorhome.

6/13/17: Salesman Shaun ** showed the vehicle and we took for a test ride. He indicated it tows 10,000 lbs. and had Cummins 380HP engine. When in fact I checked later that it tows 4,500 lbs and was 275 HP engine. We indicated some issues with the motorhome. Specifically, generator was not recording hours running on the dash or on the generator clock after it being on for over 2 hours. My wife noticed a bouncing from the passenger seat during the initial test drive. There was water on the floor from the slide outs which Shaun indicated was normal from the rain, not so. Delivery was promised Friday, June 23, 2017 at 12:30 pm with all issues fixed. 6/20/17: I decided to have an independent inspection as a result of the 6/13/17 issues found during initial preview. Contacted LaMesa that and an inspector and I would be at LaMesa, Pt. Saint Lucie, Fl on 6/21/17 at 11:00 am to inspect the motorhome.

6/21/17: I arrived at LaMesa at 11 am with the inspector. Robert ** in service stated that the motorhome had just finished a frame inspection and ready to go and all issues repaired, and their pre delivery inspection was completed. Stated that on 6/23/17 at 12:30 pm we could take delivery. Also stated that he could not release the LaMesa pre delivery inspection for liability reasons. Independent inspector inspected the motorhome and discovered that between 58 - 70 mph struggled to keep the RV on the road on account of left pulling and vibration. Also, noted that the generator hours were not recording, the plug by the invertor no power, and the rear bedroom plug no power. Why were these not discovered during LaMesa pre delivery inspection? Why did we have to hire at our cost an independent inspector to discover these issues?

6/23/17: I discovered that there was a recall by Tiffin the manufacturer. Brought the recall to the attention of LaMesa (which I never heard back on). The recall speaks to a loss of steering. How can an RV dealer such as LaMesa sell a motorhome with a recall with such a safety issue? Specifically, Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. Recall 17V-232 involves certain model-year 2017 Allegro Breeze Motorhomes. The ball joints on the independent front suspension modules can loosen and separate, leading to a partial loss of steering. Tiffin will notify owners, and dealers will inspect, clean, and secure the ball joint. A notification schedule has not been set. Contact Tiffin at (256) 356-8661.

6/26/17: Called Timothy **, salesman to cancel the preliminary retail order. He stated someone would call me to finalize today. 6/27/17: I got a call from Charlie, sales manager to discuss the preliminary retail order. He stated that the delivery is scheduled for Friday, 6/30/17. I informed Charlie, that under no circumstances will we be there on Friday 6/30/17. Per my phone call with Tim ** on 6/26/17 we canceled retail order contract #**.

Please let me be clear, we are canceling this order, will not be taking delivery of this subject motorhome, and we feel LaMesa has been grievously remiss in its attempt to sell this unsafe unit. I would appreciate a written and verbal acknowledgement confirming the retail order cancellation. Finally, I called the LaMesa resolution center in California. Got the contract canceled the next day and a refund. But what a couple weeks of total stress. LaMesa are Pro's at FRAUDULENT INDUCEMENT. And while at another RV dealership met two couples that experienced the same worst experience.

We purchased our 2016 Heartland Edge 397 from La Mesa May of 2016. Within a month we had a long list of problems. We live in our RV full time. To make a long story as short as possible... we have brought it back 3 times to have this list of problems fixed. All 3 times we were told they did not have enough time to repair/fix. One of the main issues was a cracked grey tank. Twice they ordered the wrong tank, or at least that's what we were told. Problems that existed since day 1 and were not ever fixed passed the 1 year warranty and after 3 times bringing it back... staying in hotels costing us thousands... we are told "these items are no longer under warranty." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? They could not get the work done in a year and now it's on us!??

Also the 5 seater sofa with 3 recliners was broken since day 1 and on the second visit to have it fixed we are told it was installed wrong. Our service person actually got in our RV, sat in a recliner and said "Now, what's wrong with these chairs?" As she was saying this, she pulled the release cord to make the chair recline and the wire cord broke in her hand!!! Then the 3 time we were back there she denied that this happened! I have never in my life been so frustrated, disappointed, angered and simply disgusted with a company in my entire life. The service department is useless and incompetent and liars. I could never ever refer anyone to La Mesa. Do your homework, read reviews, trust in what you are hearing and reading and don't ever buy anything from them.

La Mesa Experience Keystone Cougar 28. 3/21/17 Finally we got to go RVing First time we had a few problems. Bad battery, wall light not working. When I went to connect the septic drain, the black (**) tank was full. The sale included a full tank, got it all over the camp site. This spill was a special appreciation celebration from La Mesa. Keep up the good work!!! 2/27/17 Was called on the 20th that the RV was ready, making arrangements for pick up. 2/20/17 Bob ** called on Monday 13 me that parts were in, still waiting, 50 days or 7 weeks had passed by from purchase still no RV. Long weekend Columbus day staying home. This is a good week to start looking for legal advice. 2/13/17 My RV is still in La Mesa shop a month and a half later after purchase. I am already paying for the lemon that I purchased. I will be hiring a RV surveyor to inspect the condition of unit at pickup.

2/4/17 Went to pickup trailer for the first time felt the air and the charging system working. I hooked up the trailer and the left landing leg could not go up, bent, due to forklift damage in the lot. 2/3/17 The RV is still in the shop La Mesa with no communication. I should of paid attentions to all of the complaints that are posted on the internet. It has been a bad experience personally and financially. 1/26/17 I met up on Monday with Mr. ** and pointed out the issues of the landing gear. Also I mentioned about the air conditioning and the charging system. A lady from the service department called me and they checked out the problems with the electrical and told me that the air conditioning. It was OK but the problem was with the charging system.

I told her that I have only had the trailer in my position for two days. She told me that the charging system had to be run through my protection plan that I purchased when I bought the RV and I told her if the trailer came like that why should I have to run it through my insurance, she tell me was a used trailer. I didn't understand the concept but I said whatever. Took it back 1/23/17 I haven't had the RV for two days yet and all have seen is problems. I don't know if you guys check the units before you sell them. All I just inherited somebody else's problems. I called Bob ** on 1/23/17 in the morning. Left a message on his answering machine. And no answer.

1/21/17 I pickup the RV. So that night went to use for the first time the RV the lights came on but the 12 volt system was still low, so I looked at the breakers and the charges system was off. That is how we received it from the dealer. When I turned it on the the complete electrical tripped off. At the dealer at the time of the purchase we never checked the charging and air system. I tried to run the air conditioner and it did not work. We never saw it working at the dealer also. 12/31/16 I took it back to the dealer and they fixed the both problems. 12/30/16 We just bought 12/30/17 a 2014 Keystone Cougar when we picked it up from La Mesa, Port St. Lucie. I had a little question about a light that was on in the front of the RV so a technician came and started cutting wires and putting electrical house tape. I took it home and the landing gear did not work properly.

I bought a 2015 Thor Motor Coach from La Mesa. While signing the paperwork for financing, they talked me into buying a very expensive warranty from an outfit named Guardian. I bought and was told that it covered anything that breaks, including cosmetic items. Of course, mechanical also. Well, I made an appointment with them to fix all the things that had broken, and I would pay 50.00 deductible. The things they fixed were a latch on the drawer, the mechanical step, and the cruise control button. The things they told me Guardian refused to fix were, the handle on the microwave, the driver's seat, and the driver's side window.

First they told me it was easier to warrant the whole microwave, and later changed their minds. Second, they told me they didn't warrant foam falling over the base of the seat. Third, the window rattled, wouldn't warrant, and later charged me for fixing it. When I took the RV in I told the service guy that I didn't want them to fix anything that the warranty wouldn't pay for. Still got charged for the window. He told me that the microwave handle wasn't covered because it wasn't mechanical. So I asked them why they covered the door latch and the plastic cover for the cruise control. Well, we argued back and forth about these items for two days and were very condescending. Well, besides them not fixing things that should be warrantied, they charged me 180.00 after being told not to fix anything that wasn't covered. I will never darken their door again.

Really??? Are you for real Karl? Our experience at La Mesa was probably the worst possible given that you and everyone else in your organization with few exceptions promised the moon and delivered very little. It starts the minute you sign and the first words out of your lips are "there's no cooling off period in Arizona. So once you sign you can't change your mind." Nice way to begin a relationship don't you think? Then you are sent to a finance idiot (Dale) who tries to sell you a $32,000 dollar extended warranty plus a $13,000 paint protection. Then when you laugh at him out of shock he has a hissy fit and leaves the trailer slamming the door. Then the coach is picked up and there's lights missing and all LED bulbs removed, touch up paint removed, ladder removed etc. The service departments reply "it's a pre-owned coach you know."

We were told a PDI was done on the coach but as I opened the door to the aqua hot the filter reads Sept 2016. I assure that I've never been provided any proof a proper PDI was done. They claim it's out of their control because it was done in Yuma. Now I'm left at my expense to do a complete oil and filters change. Then on delivery the driver's side head light doesn't work. We make a special trip back and what do you know they repair it... Well at least we thought so until the next morning we pull out of a camp site and the light still isn't working. Then we see they changed out the under cabinet spotlight and what do you know again it's the wrong one with no LED bulb.

We call... Bill ** he says, "That's the light Tiffin provides. They don't keep the same lights in stock and change all the time. We are done with this and we are not doing any more for you." By the way after speaking to Mr Bob Tiffin I can assure you he does not agree. Oh but wait there's more... We see they've scratched the door so we call the service manager because Bill ** can't admit to La Mesa being at fault, all this after I've told him, "It is YOUR COMPANY that did the scratch because I had just had the coach power polished."

Take this any way you like but when you sell a large purchase and if you want return customers you better get your integrity intact. In our minds you have zero as a company. I have shared this with Mr Tiffin and I hope for your sake and everyone's sake that actions are taken to provide the customer with a sales experience worthy of the price we pay to buy these units. Canadian customers pay 30% more in exchange. You are encouraged to trade in your unit as you tell us we only pay tax on the difference. FYI... Not true. We pay at the border tax on the total cost of the coach including the trade in. Just so you know that's $8000.00 more than we were told. Thanks for the quality information.

You sell smoke and mirrors and lies. Do you really believe now I'm going to refer you to someone we value as friends? I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. Since our experience we have read reviews and you would be well advised as a company to read some and take action. The feeling we got was get the customer out the door ASAP out of sight out of your responsibility. We feel we were taken advantage of and that compensation is in order. Please take this under serious consideration.

My wife and I went to La Mesa RV, we signed a purchase agreement on a new class A motor home, and well that is when the deal went sour. We tried to cancel the deal twice afterwards but in the state of Florida there is no buyer remorse clause and were told that we couldn't cancel. We also consulted with a lawyer but were told we were locked into the agreement. We had extras added to the motor home for the cost of $2300 which was included into the purchase agreement price.

When the motor home was supposed to be ready on a Thursday, here it is the following Tuesday and it was still not ready. We told them that I had to pay extra money at the campground and they said that was our problem and not theirs. One of the loan advisers asked us if we wanted to get out of the whole situation and we said yes, however he also told us that the only way out was to pay for the extras they put into the RV. We did unwillingly because we lived 1500 mile away and had to get home. Little to be known to us that the bank had not approved our request for a loan to purchase said motorhome. I feel they stole $2300 from us, they are dishonest and lying thieves. Buyer beware. Do not do business with La Mesa RV. Highly recommend not to.

WRONG! We have a 4 year old travel trailer that we have used a handful of times that has water damage in the ceiling, slide and floor. Thanks for the great service.

Purchased a new 2016 35' Winn Vista. Sale went fine - everything after that has been downhill. Service Techs are slobs, damaged my coach by punching a hole in the inside of a storage compartment door and refused to take responsibility - they ended up "patching it" and it looks like crap. They trashed the carpet inside by walking in it with dirty boots then said they would clean it but did a horrible job. The carpet is still stained. They lie about services completed (signature indicating complete yet not touched). Services always took several days to weeks and then items were left undone every time.

Completed services were often unsatisfactory. For example - it took 4 service trips to fix a squeaking door. I requested a complete inspection for water damage after the ice maker malfunctioned and flooded the front area - I was told that they can only fix issues under warranty that I point out to them and that they cannot "up sell the warranty" by pointing out issues/problems. I could go on and on. I finally took the RV as is and then took it to 3Ts RV Products in Lake Havasu City, AZ (190 miles farther) and they performed the inspection and identified several electrical issues and damage to the base of a cabinet. I highly recommend 3Ts but would not send my worst enemy to La Mesa. Avoid La Mesa at all cost.

Upon delivery about 2 weeks later none of these items were taken care of and I would have to return and makes an appointment only to find that service was weeks behind and RV would have to be left there for and undisclosed length of time. We are very serious about a new RV so filled out some paperwork and gave our driver license, before we knew it the finance guy was telling us because we signed a piece of paper that had an agreed down payment and payment he said we needed to give him a deposit and we had to buy this RV. We know better so got up and walked out but I'm sure there are a lot of people who think because they signed something they must buy from them. This tactic must work because they sell a lot of RVs but from the reviews I have been reading their service is horrible after they sell you a RV. My wife and I purchased a used 2014 Winnebago Sightseer 30A on December 10, 2016 from La Mesa RV in San Diego. We drove the RV home to Camarillo, CA the next day and parked it in our RV storage lot. On January 13, when we began preparing for our first outing in the motor home, we learned that rats had lived under the bathroom sink and shower and left a lot of droppings and detritus. This was discovered when we found that the water pump would not stop running and was not building up any water pressure.

Since I could not figure out what was wrong after following the troubleshooting guide in the Operating Manual, I took the RV to a local shop that works on the chassis and coach. Turns out the Fill Tank/Normal valve had been installed backward so that when the lever was pointed to Normal it was actually pointing to Fill Tank. For the water pump to work it has to be set to Normal. So the repair shop reversed the valve.

The shop also found that one of the clearance lights was not working due to a loose wire which they repaired. And they noticed that the check engine light was coming on. I had noticed the check engine light when I got gas driving it home from La Mesa RV and thought it came on because I had not adequately tightened the gas cap. It also came on when I took it in to have it smogged as La Mesa RV was not aware that California would require a smog check because the vehicle had been registered in New Mexico. I thought the light came on then because the smog test involved placing a sensor in the fuel tank filler. Both times, when I turned the engine off and restarted it, the light was off.

The repair shop found the problem to result from a faulty wire to the knock sensor which they diagnosed by wiggling the wire which caused the check engine light to come on. When the engine was turned off and restarted the light was off. Because the knock sensor is under the manifold it had to be removed. The shop found that the wiring had previously been repaired. The shop also found a lot of rat dropping on top of the engine. In the Class A, F53 chassis, there is a cowling inside the cab area that covers the engine and has to be removed. The diagnosis and replacement of the knock sensor wiring came to $950, and the total on the invoice was $1098. Which left us with the problem of the droppings.

We continued to look for droppings and found them under all the cabinets in both the bedroom and kitchen areas. La Mesa RV suggested that we bring the RV back to La Mesa RV to clean up the droppings and detritus. We declined that offer as it's about a 7 hour round trip to La Mesa RV and we knew we would have to leave it there for at least a couple of days. I looked for someone local that would clean up the mess, but could not find a professional company that did that type of work. We had spent about 3 hours so far to see how big the problem was and figured it would take another 7 hours for us to clean it up and put things back together.

I wrote this all up and sent it with the shop's repair invoice and photos of the droppings and detritus to La Mesa RV in San Diego. Several hours later I received a call from the La Mesa RV's Sales Manager in San Diego. He said that La Mesa RV would take care of our expenses for the repairs and that he was referring it to Customer Relations with that recommendation. A week later I had not heard from Customer Relations so I called them. I spoke with Javier **. He could find no record of this issue. He said the Sales Manager in San Diego that I spoke with had been transferred to their Quartzite location in Arizona. So he asked that I send him the write-up and other documentation that I had originally sent to La Mesa RV. I did so, and within one hour Javier had agreed to reimburse us for the repair invoice and an addition $400 for the rat droppings.

While we wish that La Mesa had done a more thorough inspection of this motor home and had found the problems and the rat droppings, overall we are satisfied with the outcome. Since La Mesa only offers a 15 day warranty on used RV's we thought we might get stuck with the bill. But La Mesa RV recognized that all the problems existed at the time we purchased the unit, and took care of it.

We had storm damage from Hurricane Matthew. Called and took the unit in on October 31, 2016 for repair to roof and some cabinetry. From the onset the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. They acted like I was complaining about something instead of trying to bring them business. This was every single person I talked to from the first phone call until the last phone call. On the first call, the only thing the person wanted to talk about was did I know we had a deductible and that it was no longer under warranty... despite me telling them I knew full well that we had a deductible and I never asked about a warranty. She then proceeded to tell me I would not be able to get it in for a month. This was fine since we had plans to use it. I then talked with a service rep to set a time. He went through the entire thing again about the deductible, etc.

We had a lengthy conversation why I could not bring it in October 27th (so he should have remembered me). On October 31 I called ahead to let them know my husband was bringing the unit to them... and no one had any idea what I was talking about. I spent time explaining about how we had plans and the service advisor told me to bring it in on the 31st. "What time?" they asked... "I don't know a time," I respond... We always give appointment times. They say... "Well not this time." He just told me to bring it in on the 31st. Despite all of this conversation prior to my husband arriving, when he got there NOBODY had a clue what he was talking about. Because this was a water leak, my husband gave specific instructions about them opening the walls in the bathroom and replacing the bathroom cabinet and counter top. 11 weeks later it was finally ready. Took time to get the counters I was told.

By that time I was dealing with our advisor David ** who was the only person there who ever talked to me with respect and was helpful. Because our truck was in the shop we had to wait a week and a half to go get it. No problem he said - "We will put it across the street on the storage lot. Please just call me the day before." I called the day before. The woman on the phone was nasty and acted like I was an idiot for calling them. The next day we went to pick it up. It was obvious NOTHING was done with the walls at all so we probably have mold in our walls. The top to the battery box was missing. The unit was filthy. They had broken a damp rid in the bathroom all over the shower, wall, and floor and left it. David did get a towel and tried to wipe it up.

Every single person I dealt with at Orlando/Sanford La Mesa RV was nasty, belittling and unhelpful other than David **. I would let my unit rot into the ground before I took it back there again. They acted like I was complaining or trying to get something (i.e. the continuous references to not under warranty) instead of being thankful that we were bringing them work that we were going to pay for. I would give them a 10 thumbs down.

We owned it for a month and a half and took it on first voyage of 130 miles and had 3 of the 6 tires violently explode on highway at 60 mph only 1 hr into our trip. La Mesa's Corporate customer service guru Javier ** told me "to make a claim against my insurance" but it won't cover damages to each side of RV because the RV has tires with 3 different dates going as far back as early 2013!!

Now La Mesa's same corporate "customer service representative" Javier ** wants to offer me 6 new tires in exchange for me signing a waiver to not find "La Mesa liable for damages". So now after my RV has damage is when they want to put 6 tires on it and offer to pay for not even half of repair estimate? My hard earned money was spent at their dealer after I was told they would check all issues and make sure it was safe for me and my family. Clearly someone didn't and now I'm stuck with a damaged RV and a repair bill at no fault of our own!!! Our RV should be repaired and remaining 4 old tires replaced at no cost to us period. Had the tires been replaced with new ones in first place we wouldn't be here and our RV wouldn't be damaged sitting at their Ft myers location.

La Mesa RV sells a bulk of their RV's to unsuspecting customers at RV shows that they hold every couple of weeks. A smart buyer would check a company's reputation before going to an RV dealership, but we and most others stumble upon a RV show and decide to walk through it. We put a one time offer on a Winnebago Vista and was accepted. They sell a lot of RV's at these shows. I didn't have a problem with the sales portion. Buyer beware of the service department though. We were told they would call us when the MH was ready to pick up, about two weeks.

We were surprised that they added a $795 dealer service fee. I wondered what that covers. Maybe an employee for the walk thru inspection which amounted to showing us all the bells and whistles that came with the MH. I already knew that. I thought a walk thru inspection was to show us that everything was in working order. That didn't happen. So maybe the $795 covers their new employees to wash the MH. I should've asked, if I wash it myself, could I save the $795. Any repairs should be covered under a warranty, and there was plenty of them that to me should have been fixed. It is obvious that they don't fix anything unless requested by the buyer. Luckily we were given a free week at a nearby RV Park which was a lifesaver as home was nearly four hrs. away.

Here is some of the problems that should have been taken care of either by the dealer or quality control at the factory: Dinette slide out made an awful racket. Corner molding was loose and bowed out. Bathroom door could only be partially opened as top of door dragged on the optional deluxe ceiling. Bathroom power vent could only be opened two inches. Water pump didn't work.

When my wife tried to step out of the MH the first time after leaving dealer, steps did not extend and she caught herself before falling to the ground. Dealer tried 3 band-aid type fixes over the next several days before ordering a part to really fix it. Auto levelers we not working. LR would never extend. I noticed that the passenger side slide out was out about two inches after arriving at destination. I thought maybe I just stopped before it was completely in. The above problems, except passenger slide out was corrected over four of the days we stayed at the RV park while waiting for La Mesa RV to install the towing and braking system on the car and MH.

While going home, the engine light came on. After three times of this while driving, we threaten Ford that we would declare the Lemon Law if it wasn't fixed the fourth time. Seems to be fixed now. After arriving at home, we noticed the passenger slide out was starting to come out. We went to Hon Dah RV park to try MH and found out the Furnace didn't work. I tried it in Mesa for a minute and it worked there. the second night was supposed to get down to 27 degrees and my wife she wasn't going to stay especially with dog with us. Left early that morning, but RV park refused to refund my second day.

I called to make an appointment with La Mesa RV to have slide out fixed and furnace repaired. I was told they were booked up and made an appointment for two weeks later to just check MH in and they would get to it when they can. When I brought it down, Jose (my service adviser) turned the furnace on and it worked. I told him it doesn't work when it is cold outside or something to do with the elevation. He said he couldn't fix something that wasn't broken.

After another couple of weeks, we picked up the MH and made an emergency trip to MN due to death in family. First night in a town in Northern NM, I tried the furnace and it didn't work. It was about the same elevation as Snowflake where I live. Next night in Nebraska, the furnace didn't work. I didn't try the furnace again for a week and a half, but then I thought that MN is about the same elevation as Mesa and it worked for about a week and quit. I called Winnebago factory in Iowa that I wanted to stop on my way back to AZ to get the furnace fixed. This is May and I was told the earliest they could get me in was August. I brought my MH to Affinity RV in Prescott, AZ which is about the same elevation as Snowflake and they fixed the furnace. They treated me fine with respect.

Now I get a recall from Winnebago for a nut that wasn't properly torqued down and if it comes loose, could cause a fire and to call your dealer immediately. I called La Mesa RV and told them I was going to be in Phoenix next week and I would like to have them torque this nut down, but Jose said they were booked up for a month, and wouldn't be able to check it in until then. I complained that I live 3.5 hrs away from Mesa and I would also like to have the brake system checked out that they installed because the brakes were not working on the tow vehicle. Now he refused to do it next week.

It seems like they could care less about a customer's safety, but it makes sense now, they only want the sales and want you to bring your RV problems elsewhere. They know that anyone that buys an RV from them once will never buy another one from them. If you are contemplating on buying an RV from La Mesa RV, don't say you haven't been warned. See the many one star reviews.

La Mesa -- poor turnaround, poor quality control, poor timely communications. I am 70 years of age and have dealt with many companies large and small, and by far La Mesa, in Sanford, Florida, has been worst of all my dealings. Car dealers do better. History: We purchased a new 2017 Thor Synergy, Model SD24 on 14 June 2016 and took delivery on 24 June 2016 after they did a quality control. Our plan was to leave Port Orange, Florida for a week going to Eastern Shore, Maryland for our son's wedding. Early morning of 27 June 2016 as final preparation were underway a phone call was received that my wife's father passed away in Michigan. After the wedding on 1 July 2016 we started our trip to Michigan on 2 July 2016, staying in three campgrounds and arriving in Ann Arbor on 6 July. Ultimately we returned home on 27 July.

On August 9 the RV was taken into La Mesa, Sanford, Florida for warranty work, and yes we made an appointment. Today's date is 12 October 2016. The final part should have arrived yesterday, the bunk bed cushions. Delivered with a rip on the underside. This would have never been found had I not put a piece of paper under the cushion near the radio which has instructions on how to set the date and time on the coach radio. (Oh Instructions for the Thor unit itself poor as well.) I called 2 1/2 hours ago (at 10:00 a.m.) and still waiting for a return call. Return call during this warranty process have always taken many hours. Usually the returns call come in around 5:30 p.m.

Following is the short having only the most important items. There are at least 10 others. Air conditioner not fully functioning. At first no problem found after testing. Approximately 5 weeks later we were called and problem was found -- a new control module was needed. The part arrived 5 days later and while technician was finishing install the thermostat was accidentally hit and broken. Part arrived approximately 5 days later.

The large sky light was leaking... fixed. With all the rain from Hurricane Matthew will be a good test. Rain was encountered during second evening in North Carolina. Next storms in Michigan off and on for several days in the afternoon. When in Michigan because of rain the RV was taken to an RV dealer 30-40 miles away to have the inspected and sealed. This was better but the skylight still leaked, but less. Problem was at the hinge. A gasket must have been missing. I am not sure.

A storage compartment door was not sealed properly causing rainwater to enter. Both windows leaked in overhead bunk area. This tech sealed. Won't know until we are in a rainstorm while on the road. Flooring buckled in 2 locations at top of entry steps. The locations got glued. Base of toilet leaked (fresh water). Toilet removed and flange tightened. The problems should have been found at the Thor Motor Coach factory during their quality control. I realize humans are involved and they make mistake. (I do not how if robots are used during the manufacturing process.) With all the Thor RVs sold I certainly hope they don't have as many problems as we have had.

In closing want to state our FIRST RV was bought in June 2015. The unit was a 2012 Winnebago ERA. This was traded in on the new 2017 Thor. We have driven close to 25,000 miles to date. Our camping experiences have been wonderful. Needless to say since the warranty work has taken 60 days so far, we have done no RVing. But two months of warranty have been eaten up with RV sitting on a lot 95% of the time. I firmly believe this is actually planned. My first RV sat as well for 5 weeks. This is shameful for La Mesa and Thor Motor Coach to treat costumers poorly.

Purchased a trailer and had problems from the time I took possession. Sales people were obnoxious and I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND anyone to this business! Had a bent rim which was unknown and went on two trips. Both were only 150-200 mile trips and the trailer was all over the road and actually dangerous to say the least. At first I was told I needed a leveler/anti-sway bars. Spent $800.00 plus and it was just as bad. Next trip was even worse and couldn't go over 45 MPH and the trailer was all over the road.

Finally after a few calls to the service dept that were absolutely useless people at La Mesa, they had NO INTEREST IN HELPING out. The tire blew, and it was then they we realized that La Mesa had bent the rim which wasn't noticeable by eye until just before the tire actually had a blow out. I know for fact that La Mesa had to have damaged this RV because there was absolutely no way it was driven from Indiana in this condition.

Anyway, OBNOXIOUS, ARROGANT BASTARDS is all I can say. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM, THEIR SERVICE DEPT or SALES!! I've been involved an an owner of many RV's from pop-ups to several new 40' Diesel Pushers and never experienced anything like La Mesa. Why I just didn't walk out in the beginning is beyond me. My husband and I looked at a particular model of RV on Tuesday and when we returned to the lot with our children today, we were accosted by some very angry salesman. As we pulled the car over by the trailer to look at the trailer, the salesman drove up in the golf cart screaming that we didn't stop and check in with the office. There was no signage posted requiring visitors to check in. We had just been there on Tuesday, and were told to come back and look anytime. We had entered and driven to the back of the lot and looked freely at the RV's. With my husband and two children in the car this man very angrily swore at me while yelling.

Then as we proceeded to leave the lot this salesperson actually chased us out of the LA Mesa parking area in his golf cart. I have never been so attacked, abused or treated in such an unprofessional manner. My children have never experienced any episodes like this. There is NO way I could ever do business with a company that allows their employees to treat their customers in this fashion. I can't imagine the professionalism of the rest of the sales team, if this very angry, abusive, unprofessional, disrespectful man is this company's first best impression. If you are seriously considering doing business with them I would research it first, the BBB website has interesting information. There are 43 product and service complaints as well as 2 negative reviews soon to be 3.

Worst buying experience I've ever had. Went through internet sales, agreed on a price and came in to finish the deal. They tried to pull the wool over my eyes on so many accounts, changed the purchase price, changed the financing terms. I should have walked out, but they promised the world and I took the bait. From the sales process, financing, and attempting to have the RV repaired under La Mesa RV's 15 day guarantee, horrible. I should have looked at Consumer Affairs first, the negative reports about La Mesa RV are so many, and the stories from all the other reviewers sound like a broken record, they must be true.

I purchased an extended warranty on top of the guarantee from La Mesa, I hope the extended warranty covers what La Mesa Sales and service flat out lied about. Leaking black tank, leaking sink, and external LED lights that don't work. All found before I purchased our RV, and sales and service agreed to fix the issues before the sale. I drove my new to me RV home for one weekend to figure out anything else that was wrong. Brought it back the following week as scheduled, and they didn't fix a single thing. Turns out they tried to use the extended warranty I bought to cover the items that were found wrong before I made the purchase, so the warranty company denied the claim. Now La Mesa went back on their word and nothing is getting fixed. I'm out of pocket another $1500 to cover the repairs myself.

Really I don't think there's anyone to help with burial or costs so me I hit the street panhandling begging whatever it takes. A benefit that's it so I do the math. I think if I could get a rv donated to this benefit to raffle off maybe someone who is now below standard may actually rise beyond this hell. We live starving dying for no good reason till I tried it, went to La Mesa asking for info on how to get it done - a donation. They laughed in my face as if it doesn't matter. Add that as I was walking out the staff was also pointing and ridiculing me so I ask I know that homeless have a profile by people I'm one of them - now bet they don't know that.

I was in Afghanistan fighting that war 5 years before this country even knew it was coming. My friend had kids xs friends family. I would think million dollar inventory - La Mesa could have considered maybe a decent used rv or trade in. They wouldn't see profit on anyplace. Anyway I ask you paying public boycott La Mesa - they are unwilling to back the community where they are even and right across the street is Pedata rv - a much more home orientated spot. Long story short. We should have listened to all of the consumers who had a horrible experience. We purchased a brand new Winnebago RV on 4/8/2016. On the first weekend trip the AC in the cab area did not work. We had it in for service for 8 days and then retrieved it for a weekend pre-planned trip (not fixed) brought it back in 5/2 and it is still not fixed. They have it at Ford for repair and all we get is a runaround from the service people at La Mesa. We have contacted Winnebago as well. You cannot get to anyone above the service person. The higher up managers do not want to talk to the customer let alone help. Do not buy from them!!! This is the biggest and most costly mistake we have ever made. I understand now why there are so many horrible reviews.

Now it has been in the shop 3 times for items that should have been corrected in the pre-inspection (obviously they don't do this there). One of the major items was the steering which was so loose that you would have felt like you were in a Nascar (fixed by Ford dealer who stated this was one dangerous situation). Now you are going to ask how they should know about this... THEY DROVE THIS VEHICLE TO THE RV SHOW AND THEN BACK. Other items were LP switch not working in the unit, and what they never checked was the fresh water pump was still in the winterization mode.

Finally tired of all the BS and no return phone calls and lack of professionalism and went to camping world, PROBLEMS SOLVED. Hope this helps out to all future owners. To put this in perspective, I have had recalls on automobiles that are usually resolved in a day or two. But we are now dealing with La Mesa RV-Phoenix. On March 1 I received a letter from Truma. Truma makes water heaters for RV's and they clearly Truma is NOT the problem. The letter stated that a part should be replaced and to call our local dealer, La Mesa RV and they would change out the part at no cost. The following is how La Mesa responded:

3-Mar: Called LaMesa and they had no clue of what I was talking about. 3-Mar: Called Truma and they assured me they notified La Mesa but said they would call La Mesa again. 22-Mar: Called La Mesa and they knew nothing of the warranty/service bulletin. 22-Mar: Called Truma. They asked for a direct contact at LaMesa (I gave them the service managers name). 10-Apr: Called La Mesa and they did not know anything about Truma. 10-Apr: Called Truma, and they spoke with both the service manager and parts manager and set up a warranty case and made arrangements to ship the part so it would arrive a few days before the appointment on April 28 (they were concerned LaMesa would lose the part).

26-Apr: Called La Mesa to talk to service manager. He didn't return the call. 27-Apr: Called La Mesa 3 times - No return call. Later in day spoke with the person who answered the phone in service and she put me on hold for several minutes. When she came back she said she checked with parts and other managers but they could find nothing regarding Truma parts or warranty recall. I said if I can't be guaranteed that this issue will be taken care of I did not want to drive 100 miles to be turned away. She suggested that I cancel the appointment until they can get to the bottom of the problem (the problem started March 3 - just 55 days so far to get to the bottom of it).

27-Apr: Called the person at La Mesa that "makes sure you are satisfied" - no return call as of April 28. 28-Apr: Called Truma. The Truma rep said she spoke with both service manager and parts manager on 4/10 and brought them up to speed on the issue and made arrangements to ship the part and installation instructions and all the internal warranty paperwork. She further said that the part was delivered to La Mesa on April 21. Truma said they would ship to any authorized dealer we choose if we could not get this resolved with La Mesa. Truma expressed disbelief that something as simple as change of a part could be this difficult. They said this is the simplest of simple. They said on their end they will do everything they can to see that our unit is fixed.

28-Apr: Called 0930. Called parts manager - no answer. Called 10:30. Called parts manager - Left message asking him to PLEASE call me. Called "the make sure your happy person" - no answer. Still waiting for return calls from April 26th, 27th and the 28th from various employees at La Mesa RV. The issue is still not resolved.

My only advice to a prospective customer is to read ALL the complaints about La Mesa RV. There is a trend that apparently top management does not care to address. Compared to any car dealer I have done business with La Mesa appears to be run by very young children that don't know what to do. It becomes quite clear that if they relied on service they would implode. The right hand absolutely does not know what the left is doing. SAD.

NO DOC available. MH still drove dog legged down the Highway until I figured out through another truck Alignment Comp. $300 later it is fine now. I want to be reimbursed. Second Item: This is the more serious of the two. They fabricated statements to my partner and I. She was concerned of the wiggle, wiggle of the pass side slide when it goes out or in. Davis assured us that it is the way they work (not the other two slides). So while in Casa Grande we made an appointment to have the slide evaluated, repaired (their nickel) at the Phoenix service center. They had the coach ALL day so we went to the MH Show at the Phoenix Raceway.

When we arrive at the shop around 4 pm the Service Advisor Tom ** told us that all of the mechanical mechanism has been check for tightness and then motor and gearbox is also very secure and that besides that their tech Mark had recorded a video of the slide operating and sent it to Newmar. They said that all the techs (both Newmar's and La Mesa's) reviewed the video and the conclusion was to leave it alone, and that is what we were left with. At 5 pm they were closing and we had to go. We both still felt it was too loose to be good to go. Mind you since we took possession we had opened the slides 3 times. I told my partner that we would get to the bottom of this. And in late OCT/ NOV 2015 we were in Indiana returning from a workamper stint and made appointment to have Newmar to evaluate the slide. We were directed to go to a vendor company that works on NEWMAR MHs when there busy.

Fine with us as long as the slide gets evaluated. The mechanical mechanism was removed and replaced because it was failing to perform as normal . (We have opened the slides about 10 more times since our first time). Not really much use. Cost almost 7000 dollars. Now when La Mesa (service manager Joseph) was asked 4 weeks ago about producing the video, THEY CANT nor do I believe they ever did. And now after talking to Newmar techs and dealer support line at Newmar, La Mesa will not talk to anyone. I have found out that the so-called video never arrived at Newmar??? Newmar would like to see the video also. Newmar keeps records of things like this (like a Carfax). Well, La Mesa is nowhere to be found. I have supporting documents for BOTH problems and I have the shims to correct the alignment they never did, all of the parts for the slide mechanism. The Pass Slide mechanism works fine now and the MH drives like a dream.

Made an appointment for a simple genset service and two interior light issues in our RV. Dropped off, told have to have the RV for a week or so, making an appointment doesn't mean anything. Called later in the day, told needed full tune up. Oil was changed a week earlier, anyhow, told them to perform maintenance.

Called about 6 hours later, said was ready. Showed up, service person said was ready to go. Genset was ready per service person, forgot about the lights, said he didn't write down.

Following week, we went RVing for a weekend. Attempted to use the genset, had bad rattling noise. Checked it out, found that the air filter hold down screw fell out, and missing wasn't tightened up when serviced. (This had never happened before in over a year.) The oil fill cap very loose so oil was leaking and dripping, lights that reported bad, still bad. Seems all La Mesa service centers are the same. Called service person Adams, he said we (the customer) must have done it. It was just serviced, I shouldn't have to check it first use. We were looking at an RV upgrade at La Mesa, base on all I have read and experienced, we are going somewhere else.

I purchased a 2014 Itasca Meridian from La Mesa RV in Albuquerque in September of 2015. I had some issues with the rig that I was having trouble with. They were not fixed by La Mesa when I took it in and I had to hire other mechanics to resolve the issues. Jeremy Black, the service manager at La Mesa, found out about it and contacted me. I am very happy to say, that all of the previous issues have indeed been resolved to my complete satisfaction.

    Original Review: Nov. 5, 2015

I purchased a 2014 Itasca Meridian from La Mesa RV in Albuquerque. It had numerous issues that were supposed to be fixed prior to my picking it up. They were not. I have been back twice to try to get the issues fixed. They didn't fix the issues, instead, they chocked it up to operator error. The house batteries were heavily corroded and had a faulty cable. Kyle, one of the service managers, assured me they would be fixed. But I was still having electrical issues. I finally had to hire a mobile mechanic to come and look at the rig. He found that they had not cleaned the battery terminals, nor had they replaced the questionable cable. They also had the inverter set to 10% charging. Needless to say, several hundreds of dollars later, the mobile mechanic finally fixed the issues that La Mesa RV assured me were corrected, but were not.

The RV I purchased was missing all of the remote controls for the TVs and the home theatre system. Stacy, the sales person, assured me they would be replaced and the system thoroughly checked when I came back to pick up my rig. They were not. I have Samsung TVs and they threw in RCA remotes and then tried to tell me they were "universal" remotes. Also, there was no control for the home theatre system. I called and told them about the issues, they said the Samsung remotes were ordered and would be there in a week. So when I went in to pick up the remotes, I found out they had never even been ordered. So, I had to order and pay for the remotes myself through Amazon. Again, several hundred of dollars later, out of my own pocket, for something that had been promised to be fixed before I even picked it up.

Also, the DVD player would not work. I could get sound out of the speakers, but no video feed. That was another issue that was addressed during the two return trips I made with the rig to try to get them to fix it. Their explanation was that I hadn't turned on the matrix power supply to the DVD player. Seriously? How did I get audio out of it but not video if I was too stupid to know how to turn it on? I finally had to get Best Buy's Geek Squad out to the rig to fix everything. The matrix had been wired backwards, which is why it wouldn't work. Also, there was a problem with the repeater that the Geek Squad fixed, but once again, it was easier for La Mesa to blame it on operator error than to fix what they had promised to. That repair also cost me several hundred dollars.

They had also promised to replace all of the water filters on this rig. Since they didn't fix any of the other issues they had promised to, I ordered new filters and replaced them myself. It's a good thing I did because they were absolutely disgusting. The water I'd been drinking and showering in was filthy. I have contacted La Mesa RV several times about getting reimbursed regarding these issues. I have been consistently ignored. I'm out hundreds of dollars due to their dishonesty. I'm nearly a 60 year old single woman, and this company did not hesitate to take nearly a quarter of a million dollars from me, make false promises and then deliver a substandard product to me and then not even make an honest attempt to fix things properly. I cannot recommend this business. They have consistently lied to me and ignored my problems with the purchased product.

After taking our used RV back to the La Mesa Service for problems with a leaking toilet, and the air conditioning in the front would initially be cold but then get warm, and a hydraulic jack in the back that kept falling down while we were driving, and being told that there was "absolutely nothing wrong," we took it to the Avondale branch for service. They finally did put a new jack in, said they couldn't find anything wrong with the toilet (probably didn't flush it) and said the air was fine. (They probably didn't drive it.) My husband took the toilet apart and all of the gaskets were rotted. He replaced them for $108.

We took it on a couple of trips, then returned it to the Avondale Service center, because the refrigerator was initially cold enough, but would go up to 10 degrees too warm, then back down to freezing. The gasket is slightly torn, so Danny ** told my husband he would order a new refrigerator door. My husband, again, told him about the A/C. So, after having the RV for another 3 weeks, they said there is "nothing wrong with the refrigerator or the A/C." When my husband asked if they had ordered the new refrigerator door, he said it wasn't on his paperwork. He had not included it in his report.

So, another three weeks with no resolution of our problems. We bought the extended warranty, but if they can't resolve any of the problems, what's the point? I don't know if they are incompetent or just don't want to do insured jobs, but we are definitely not going back there again. And, since they did not "find" anything to repair, they charged us $230.52 for "labor and parts."

I purchased my Heartland Big Horn RV back in August 2015. The salesman and experience went very well. The finance department was ok. It was everything after this point that really was disappointing. First they pulled in the wrong coach to prep and fortunately the sales rep caught the mistake. I told them not to rush and take as much time as the needed to get the coach ready. It was ready as schedule and I should have known this was a problem. The coach was delivered on a Friday and the first thing I found was that none of the plumbing under the sinks was connected.

I call La Mesa and they sent a tech over to our RV Park who made the repairs. Then over the next couple of days I found 10 items that needed repair which should have been found before delivery. I sent an email to the sales rep who responded right away and forwarded our service request to the service manager John ** on Monday morning. John proceeded to misplace my service request so I did not get a call until I emailed my sales rep again so now we are a week behind with an appointment made the following Wednesday before the Labor Day Holiday.

Hoping to get the list handled by the holiday I was told that it was not going to be possible. I finally got the coach back 24 days later with the repairs made. I had a couple of calls from the service rep with updates but more about how busy they were, mind you had they done the job on the front end I should not have had to go back for any service. The coach is back and there are a couple of minor issues to be resolved. Let see what happens from here.

We take the coach in, it stays for weeks/months and when we pick it up, the system still doesn't work. It is in the shop now for the same problem and we have had to cancel a trip because of that. Why not take it somewhere else? Because it is still under warranty. I can no longer recommend this service department. Furthermore, I am sorry I bought the coach from them. The experience with La Mesa in Sanford, FL has been a disaster. We purchased a used 2013 travel trailer in 2013 that was virtually brand new (the previous owner bought it new, never used it then traded it in). We paid a fair price for the trailer but got hooked into a very expensive extended warranty. We went to La Mesa in Sanford several days later to pick up the trailer. Even though we had an appointment, the finance department had no idea who we were and didn't have anything ready. We had to wait for hours. A temporary tag was issued but 60 days later when the 2nd one was expiring, we were told that the original owner didn't sign all the paperwork required for us to obtain a permanent tag. The finance department had no idea what to do so I had to call the main office out west to get some help since we were put off and put off.

Finally, somebody other than Sanford figured out what to do. We obtained the permanent tag 4 months after we took possession of the trailer. There were some issues so we took it to Sanford for warranty work in April of this year. We were given the run-around about why it was taking so long. The wrong part was ordered, etc. 2 months later we were finally notified that the trailer was ready. We made an appointment to pick it up and upon arrival we waited 1/2 hour for our service adviser to appear. Then we found that they never disconnected the battery and it was dead. The propane tanks were left on too.

The icing on the cake was when we were told that we owed tax on the extended warranty. I became quite angry about this and threatened to call a lawyer because I'm pretty sure this is not legal in Florida. Immediately they backed off about the tax. After pointing out the battery issue and mentioning that it costs $150, the long wait and the propane tanks, they said we didn't have to pay the deductible. Buying the trailer at the RV show was a pleasant experience but the second we stepped foot in the dealership to take ownership of it and having the warranty work done, it became a nightmare.

We bought a Tesla toy hauler from this dealer in 2014. When we went to pick up trailer there were numerous items wrong with the trailer. They told us they would order the replacement countertops, shower doors and wall panels from manufacturer. The trailer sat in the dealership over 3 months waiting on parts (glass shower door was cracked and was unsafe to use). They kept telling us it was the manufacturer who wasn't sending the parts. Finally the shower doors came in a week before we were leaving on vacation. Told them we would bring the trailer back for the countertop once we came home.

Upon our return we told them the hot water heater wasn't working correctly, we smelled propane and we were having problems with vent opening in the living room. Again trailer sat there for over a month. When we picked the trailer up they told us there was nothing wrong with hot water heater, vent nor did they smell propane. We used the trailer again and the rear vent quit working. They replaced the vent and told us there was nothing wrong with the hot water heater. We then had a problem with the fireplace and they told us there was nothing they could do because the 1 year warranty was up. We contacted the manufacturer and they extended the warranty and replaced the fireplace. Once again we told them we smelled propane. Once again they told us there was no propane leak.

We loaded up the trailer and headed out. We stopped at an RV shop in Colorado because we still smelled propane. They told us we had a bad propane leak and needed to replace the high pressure valve which we did. When we got to campsite I tried to put out the slide outs but the one wouldn't go. When checking to see what was wrong we saw that the fireplace that La Mesa RV had just replaced wasn't installed properly and had come loose and was blocking the slide out. We got the fireplace loose and put it back where it belonged. We then went to use the hot water and we had no hot water. We called La Mesa and spoke to a service tech-he told my husband to get a thin wire and put it up a tube in the hot water heater. He did this and the hot water heater worked. That is crazy and shouldn't work that way.

Oh yeah, prior to leaving on our trip we told La Mesa that the vent in the living room had finally died and to contact manufacturer to see if they will replace it. We called Bill our service rep on our way home and he told us everything was set to bring the trailer in and they would replace it. When we got to the dealership he acted like he didn't know what we were talking about. He located e-mails and said he made a mistake and hadn't contacted manufacturer regarding fan. We got the manufacturer on the phone and he told them to look at what was wrong and get back to him. We also told him about the hot water heater.

Several days later we heard back from Bill and he told us the manufacturer said they wouldn't fix anything else on the trailer and to come get it. I asked him what they said about the hot water heater, he said they told him to contact the company they built the hot water heater. I asked him if he contacted them and he didn't answer. I took that as a no. We picked up the trailer and once we got it home we saw they had taken the ceiling fan vent apart and threw the pieces on the counter, we looked up and we had all kinds of bare wires hanging down. We contacted the manufacturer and sent them pictures of how we got the trailer back from La Mesa RV and they are working with us to repair the damage. We have had a horrible experience with La Mesa from the moment we signed the papers until the last repair. Once they got our money they could of cared less how they treated us.

I do NOT recommend that anyone patronize this RV dealership. The dealership was very happy and friendly when they were taking our money at the point of sale. A couple months after the sale, concerns turned up about the inaccuracy of information they provided to us about the hitch weight of the fifth wheel we purchased. Suddenly we were met with glares and the attitude of "it's your responsibility to verify information". My complaint even went up to the corporate office and they rebuffed any reasonable settlement offer.

I filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office and I'm currently out of $12,000 needed to purchase an appropriate fifth wheel for my 1/2 ton truck to tow. If you insist on buying an RV from them, be sure to have every detail and specification written down and initialed by the sales rep. Do NOT believe anything they verbally tell you. They will have you sign a "No Verbal Representations Form" that states "You are not relying on any La Mesa RV verbal representations". Be very careful here!

Here's the story: La Mesa RV in Tucson sold us a fifth wheel RV based on inaccurate information that we believe was fabricated in order to make a sale. Unfortunately, the hitch weight of the fifth wheel we wanted was not listed on the RV manufacturer's website, so we had to rely on La Mesa for this information. Their deceptive business practice led my wife and I to purchase a fifth wheel RV that exceeded the weight ratings of our truck, a Ford F150 pickup, that would be used to tow this supposed fifth wheel RV. Exceeding the Payload limits and the GVWR of the tow vehicle could lead to mechanical failure of the truck and a subsequent accident on the highway that would endanger the safety of the occupants riding in the truck cab as well as other drivers on the road.

Further, when we bought our truck, the Ford dealership stressed to us that exceeding any of the weight limits would negate the manufacturer warranty should any problems occur. La Mesa refused to acknowledge the danger. Never offered a sincere apology. Argued that exceeding the Payload list and the GVWR is "not a problem". They only look at the truck's tow rating, and quite frankly, they do not care about you once they have taken your money. Go somewhere else and buy your RV.

UPDATED ON 02/19/2016: Dishonest. Deceitful. Disdainful. These are the words that come to mind when I think of the La Mesa RV dealership in Tucson. I previously wrote how a couple months after the purchase of a fifth wheel trailer, concerns turned up about the inaccuracy of information they provided to us regarding the hitch weight of the fifth wheel we purchased. It turned out the fifth wheel was far heavier than they verbally told us and it overloaded our half-ton pickup truck. When confronted with this information, we were met with glares and the attitude of "we did nothing wrong" and "it's your responsibility to verify information" the dealership gives its customers. My complaint even went up to the corporate office and they rebuffed any reasonable settlement offer. It was CYA all the way!

Sloppy. Unprofessional. Will Screw With You. These are more descriptors that come to mind since I wrote the original review. It took FOUR MONTHS to receive the extended warranty refund from La Mesa that should have taken six weeks. After we traded off the fifth wheel at a competing dealership for a true half-ton towable fifth wheel that was appropriate for our F150, we cancelled the extended warranty purchased through La Mesa. We were told it would take 6 to 8 weeks to receive the refund. Well, eight weeks passed and we received no check. I then contacted the district office in San Diego that handles warranty refunds. They claimed, "We never received the refund request", even though we had a copy of the emailed request from the Tucson dealership to the district office that proved they did indeed receive the original refund forms.

Saying they would now process the request, we would again have to wait 6 to 8 weeks. Guess what? After eight weeks passed, we still did not receive a refund. This time I called the warranty company directly and they told me they delivered the funds to La Mesa TWO WEEKS earlier. Armed with this information, I again contacted district office who actually had the gall to say, "We mailed the check to you two weeks ago." Yeah, right! It took another two weeks to receive a real refund check in the mail. My final words, do NOT deal with this company. They are dishonest and will screw with you when things don't go the way this company wants, no matter how polite and professional you treat them. There are many other RV dealerships to buy from who are far more ethical and actually care about their customers.

We purchased on the June 7th, 2015. We're promised that we could pick up the following week, but due to a death in the family I was unable to pick up until June 20th. On the 18th, we received a call stating that they had found additional issues with our RV and that they would need a couple extra days to repair. We called on the 23rd to confirm that the RV was ready and we were reassured that it was. Arrived at 9:30 am for our walk through. After waiting an hour we did our walk through and ONLY half of the list had been done. Our ladder was now missing, the water pump would not work, the surround sound was not functioning, the inside had not been touched at all. The ECO system we paid $1,300 was not done on the inside (DON'T PAY FOR THIS UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE DOING. WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO, it's really not worth the hassle and they will probably claim that they did it when in fact they have not, like they tried to with us.).

They asked we could go to lunch and come back at 3 and they would have it ready for us. We claimed that we would be back in the morning instead so that they didn't have to rush and do a sloppy job. Showed up the next day at 8 am. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE. When I said I was done, that I no longer wanted the RV, there were all kinds of people scrambling trying to get the RV ready. This was the Second day that we had to lose time off work due to their incompetence.

Staff members are great at passing the buck. It's the salesman's fault, no it's service's fault, who promised you that, that's not how we do things, that person was mis-informed. Oh, I hate it when they do this to me. If you do business with them, take good notes... Have salesman initial your copy so you have proof and be willing to take 2 to 3 days off work to sit down there and stay on top of them to get your rig done. Don't plan any type of vacation until you have the RV at home because they will mess up your plans for sure.

It was red hot and smoking. Who is to say what could have happened if I didn't stop right then? Lamesa RV towed it back to the dealership and have refuse to issue a replacement motorhome. None of the paper had been submitted and it should have been a easy swap out. Yet their stand is let the buyer beware! Ford, Fleetwood, and Lamesa RV have let me down and they can do the same for you. This is head to court and may not have a final resolution for several years.

We talked with our sales rep ** several times during the week, made sure the price that he quoted us was correct and he assured us it was. We set aside a time to come in and test drive and finalize the deal. (70 miles away) When we went to the rv in the lot there was a price on the vehicle that was $30,000.00 higher than the price we were given. We immediately said something to the sales rep, and he pretended not to know how much he quoted us. But he would walk back in to talk to the sales manager.

Disgusted we walked back in to the office, after getting tired of waiting for him to return and he claimed that he gave the sales manager the wrong numbers, but that was a lie because he gave us both the la mesa stock number and the vin number to research the vehicle during the last week. It was also the ONLY model, year and make on their lot. So clearly this was no honest mistake. In fact this was a poorly executed example of bait and switch. Don't waste your time energy and money at la mesa. Trust is something very important, especially when making a decision like this. This was la mesa in port st lucie florida.

I am in the military. I was station in Japan when I saw a deal advertised on the internet. I put down a deposit for a unit and talked to the internet salesperson. I told them the date I would be in the U.S. to pick up the unit. They agreed to hold the unit until then. When I returned to the U.S., I called to tell them I was on my way there the following weekend to get the unit. About 3 days prior to me getting the unit, I received a phone call stating that they sent the unit through service and there were too many problems to sell it to me (I think they sold the unit to someone else). They tried to offer me another one I didn't like. I refused that unit. After that they refunded only $1,500 of my $2,500.

** the person in finance promised to get me back the rest of the money. Well, 2 weeks later I haven't heard from him or anyone from the company. In addition, another person called me and didn't know they told me I couldn't get it. I explained to him my story and he promised to get a manager to contact me... As La Mesa RV does best, they blow that off too. Did I mention that I depended on this unit to live in, so pretty much I came back to America from serving overseas just to be homeless and live in a friend's spare room. Very bad customer service.

We recently purchased a 2015 Expedition from La Mesa at a show in Phoenix. Our salesman was great and spend a lot of time with us. We cut a deal at a tremendous price which we were and are happy with. The salesman and his boss told us that all of the Expeditions came with mud flaps which was nice. When we went to sign the contract we were treated well but we were pressured into a maintenance agreement, tire agreement, gap etc. By pressured I mean that we were told that if we didn't buy them right then and there the price would go up considerable. I did not like that at all. I should have done my homework before I got there because when I checked with Good Sam, a very good plan was available for the same price.

When we picked the coach up it was filthy and had not been prepped at all. As I drove away the mirror flapped in the wind and I had to come back. There was no mud flap and the salesman got amnesia. I had signed a document saying that the was what the written deal was and I didn't realize that the flap was in fact an option and not included like I was told. Oh well. If you have not owned an RV before you need to understand that they are ALL put together very sloppily and are full of problems when new. Even a $500,000 unit. This is not the dealer's fault, they are all like this. The question becomes how well does the dealer take care of you. This can also be made worse by manufacturers that can take a couple of weeks or more to approve even simple warranty claims and a slow parts fulfillment process.

None of this is right but it is the state of the industry and brand shopping doesn't help much in this regard. We have owned several RVs and understood this fully. After a shakedown cruise we came back to the dealership with a long list of problems. The worst was windshield wipers that didn't operate (I live in AZ and took my chances) but none of them were show stoppers. Things like water lines that leaked etc. typical normal poor workmanship items.

Here is where the story gets good. We met with our service writer ** who could not have been more professional. He took a detailed list which was turned into a working document. La Mesa has a system of communication that ** laid out and a schedule. He was open and honest about possible delays. I was floored when he actually did exactly as he said he would and communicated quickly, accurately and frequently always returning calls etc. We agreed that a few of the items could wait as we want to use the unit. I have been to a lot of RV dealers and none have had service departments as organized and who actually did what they said they were going to do on a schedule. I was very wary of buying from such a large firm and other than the sales process and lack of a pre-delivery inspection the follow up service has been first class.

I told the salesperson that I had bad credit, about 640 credit rating. She said to bring our proof of monthly income and application in. We did this, and they showed us some RV's to which one of them we really liked. We sat down with the saleslady and she said they had us qualified at 6.6 percent interest and the payment would be $396.23 a month. We agreed and she said the RV would be shown to us either Tuesday or Wednesday to make sure everything passed inspection and at that time I assumed to sign papers.

I called Monday to see when they would be ready and was told they could not get the loan approved. This was devastating as we had everything packed to change over when they brought out the other RV. I guess they lie to you, even though they knew they could not help you to begin with. This was like expecting a new RV home just to be broken hearted at the end. WHY can't they just tell you they can't do anything because of your credit instead of building up your hopes just to hurt you later.

First of all we went to Lamesa RV in Mesa AZ this past week. Our class C RV had very low mileage on it and our deal with them was a straight across trade for a 2015. Initially we made the deal, however the next day when we went to pick up the trailer nobody told us we couldn't leave the lot with it until we purchased an EQ kit to be able to tow it home safely to the tune of an extra $800.00 plus dollars.

In the 3 days we waited to pick up our new trailer, we brought our Jayco Greyhawk with us so that it could be inspected while we were there looking around for a new one. In this time period, no one said anything about any issues with our trade in whatsoever. During that 3 day period, we received a call back from the salesman on a question we had about the trade in, and the salesman extremely rude to my wife, to the point where he tried for 2 days in a row to call back and apologize to her about the way he talked to her.

Also we were charged $500.00 earnest money and instead of refunding it to us when the deal was canceled they charged the $500.00 again on our card. Then to try and make it right, they supposedly refunded us a thousand dollars, and we have yet to see our thousand dollars back. Also now they are claiming that our RV has water changed and other issues and we just had it serviced several months prior so we decided not to take the deal because now the best they could do for us was wholesale only for our rig.

We took it to another dealership for a second opinion and they found no issues. We will never deal with this company again in the future in any way. Take a video of your RV before you go anywhere to cover you. We suggest you be very thorough to cover yourselves by taking a complete video of the entire RV including your vehicle as well. Especially if there's a small flaw that someone might try and make bigger than it really is.

I finally got my RV today from La Mesa RV of Riviera Beach, FL. The roof repairs were done in a timely manner. However, I did email Heartland the manufacturer headquarters in Elkhart, IN. I also emailed La Mesa Headquarters in CA because I was told it could take 4 to 6 weeks for the repairs. Both companies called me and than they called La Mesa in Riviera Beach, FL on my behalf. From what I can see the repairs were done correctly. They did forget to repair 2 other small problems, but did so when I pointed them out. I would in the future purchase from La Mesa RV. However, I will take the time to look over and inspect everything from the roof down and under the RV next time.

Bought a 2015 BH3010RE Bighorn in February this 2015. Found what I see maybe a problem with the 1st two panels in the roof where they met. Called for an appointment to have it looked at and was told they could see me in 10 days. Also, asked if it did need to be repaired or replaced how long would it take. Worst case, they said it could take 4 to 6 weeks to do what needed to be done because they are so busy. Even if they had to replace the whole rubber roof, why so long? Good service should be very easy. We shall see and give an update.

We purchased a new 2015 Cyclone 5th wheel from La Mesa RV at an RV show and were assigned the Phoenix location at 75th Ave and McDowell for our walk through and pick up. That went very well and we were pleased with the attention we got and expected the warranty work to be taken care of without issue. It all went downhill from there. We live in Oklahoma and did not have our truck with us so we left the trailer with a friend in Phoenix with the agreement that we would bring the truck when the warranty parts came in and would take the trailer home to Oklahoma when the repairs were done.

Two weeks before we were to leave home I called and talked to ** and was told "Come on out - it's all ready for you!" We bobtailed the truck 1100 rough miles to find out that ** was transferred to another location, no parts were in and there was no appt made for the work. **, the service manager got involved at that point and again we were promised the warranty work would be taken care of after it was all submitted for the second time. The work was to be done at an Oklahoma dealership but La Mesa would take care of the warranty claim and transfer the paperwork to the new dealership. After several calls to ** (the last ones were ignored) we drove to the OK dealership and they were finally able to find out what was happening.

Again the ball had been dropped and all the authorization was given to La Mesa RV to do the work so the process started over again, pictures included!! There were a few small parts that we were able to pick up at the AZ dealership when we were back in Phoenix, but ** would not speak to me - he went through the cashier to communicate with me. Not once did we raise a voice to these people and really can't figure out why we were treated this way. ** assured us that the "tools are in place for warranty work to go smoothly" so why didn't it?? I will never recommend this dealership!

We own a KOA campground and the trailer is in a prominent spot so we have a great opportunity to advertise for them (which we did tell them on our first visit) but while we are very pleased with our Cyclone trailer and will give that a thumbs up, we will have much to say about La Mesa RV! Words of recommendation: If you do purchase from them, make absolutely sure you have names, dates and who's responsible for the process and check in with them regularly to make sure it's taken care of. I hate to do their work too but that's exactly what it seemed like we were having to do. We purchased an RV from them 6 months ago and it was the worst purchasing experience of our lives. The RV was supposed to be brand new but had sat out in the AZ desert for several months before they brought it to San Diego. There were many issues with it that needed to be remedied before we took possession. They assured us that everything would be fixed so we left the RV with them for nearly two months while they waited for parts and did the repairs. All of the issues we noted were written on the due bill.

When they finally called us to pick it up they had not completed everything on the due bill though they insisted they had. When we showed them pictures of the items yet to be fixed, they relented and admitted that they just weren't going to fix them at all. Now we are taking them to small claims court so that they will fix the things they said they would in the first place. When you purchase a new vehicle there is an assumption that things will be in decent shape when you pick it up. That was not the case.

The customer service is HORRIBLE at La Mesa RV. They are so antiquated that they don't even have a voice mail system. I can't believe they are still in business. I would give them ZERO stars if I could. Here are just some of the things wrong with the coach when we went to pick it up. Recall that this is a BRAND NEW COACH!

    1. Huge water stain on the mattress over the driver's area
    2. Latch broken on the couch
    3. Latch broken on slide-out drawer under the bunk beds so it opened every time you turned a corner
    4. Edging on drawers was so rough that it would slice your arm if you reached in
    5. Chips on the edges of cabinets
    6. All of the cabinet facings had shrunk in the heat and someone came through with a black sharpie and outlined them to try and cover up the discrepancy but they had a shaky hand so every cabinet is outlined like a 1st grader did it. They look so sloppy, it is embarrassing.
    7. The vinyl molding shrank in the heat and pulled away from the edges by 2 inches all around, revealing the particle board underneath.

    8. Letters were missing from the outside of the coach so it looked like the name of the coach was misspelled.

We bought our Alpine 2006 in April of 2014. At the time of our signing we were told that the washer/dryer, the dishwasher the DVD player, surround sound did not work and would be replaced upon a handshake. After our 1st outing we noticed the bathroom fan exploded and there was a constant leak from the driver’s windshield. We took our RV back to be repaired. 3 times in for repair for the window. I am estimating that we have within this year taken our unit to get repaired at least 10 times or more. We have gotten lame excuses like “we are busy - did not get to you”, “our service manager is being trained again”. Rarely has anyone ever called us back to report on how our RV was doing.

We once left our RV with the service department for over 6 weeks. We told them we needed it for Thanksgiving week. They laughed “Oh we will have it all done before then.” Not a damn thing was done and to top it off, they never shut off the propane and left the batteries to go to almost empty. This last time myself and my wife were so mad and we demanded to see the General manager and we got such the run around. So we settled for the Service manager and service adviser. We gave them our list.

When we came to pick up the unit we were told by the Sales Manager (and why SHE got involved is beyond me) of what had been done. The DVD player and surround sound had been upgraded to a blu-ray player. The dishwasher is now working. We were told that the Washer dryer is too old to get parts and they (LA MESA) was not fixing this. The leaking window still leaks, the bathroom fans are not running now. And they took our Pressure regulator and our water hose. And to top it all off, we were told by the SALES MANAGER that "they were done with us". How can any service department operate this way?

My wife even has mentioned a few times to test with a water hose to see if the window is still leaking. The Sales manager tells us now that we were past our 15 days warranty that only in September was the only time was written down of our concerns. This is **!! We went through a walk through a few times with a few of the service managers and advisers - well I guess they are not able to write down what need to be fixed. So we called our banker and our insurance company and had everyone get the documents together and over night them. So now it's Saturday at 2:30 and La Mesa finally decides that they are ready to finish up. The service department has checked the bus out and has it ready. So now we go in to finalize the paperwork and now are informed that they can't let us take the bus until Monday when they can verify funds with the bank. Wow!!!! Really!!!! On the first outing I noticed a color discoloration in the cherry red gel coat. An obvious leak near a window as well as a bad water pump that pumps water to the sinks toilet and shower. Monday morning I called La mesa and was told I can't bring in the Rv. I need to make an appointment and the soonest I can get it in is almost a month from now. So for the next month, this rv will sit there and continue to leak and cause damage because I will not do anything to fix this so I can be blamed later. I BET IF THEY NEEDED MY DOWN PAYMENT, THEY WOULD HAVE FOUND THE TIME TO GET ME IN SOONER!!!!

I bought a brand new Winnebago travel trailer from La Mesa RV back in May 2014. There were a few minor issues with my trailer that I'm still going back and forth with La Mesa RV in Albuquerque to resolve. One is an outdoor speaker that doesn't work and needs to be replaced under the warranty. It's almost November 2014 and I'm still waiting for the speaker to be fixed. Calls don't get returned from the Service Advisor, and it's been a very discouraging process. I won't ever buy anything from La Mesa RV again, and recommend you don't either.

In May 2014, we purchased a 2014 Heartland Trail Blazer from La Mesa in Phoenix, AZ. There were some dents on the metal panels. They said they would order these. After a short trip, we took it back to be serviced. Bedroom door fell off. Molding not stapled on. The seal on the bottom of the shower was partially off. Chairs not secured and problems with the door and checking on the metal to fix the panels on the front. Nothing had been done. We took off from Phoenix to Connecticut. The first day out, we could not get the trailer open. There was a problem with the lock. We had to call a locksmith to get us in the trailer. La Mesa told us to do this but it would not be covered under the warranty. The locksmith said we would need a new lock. Since it was only the deadbolt, we continued.

We had several things happen on the road but of course there was not a La Mesa service around. The door to the bathroom fell off and scratched the wall. The seal to the shower had been removed and it leaked on the floor every time we showered. The black water tank showed partially full no matter how much we tried to empty it. The brackets on the back holding the tires bent and we had to check them each time we stopped. The end caps on the rear fell off. All hub caps fell off, and on the way home, the toilet broke (pieces split off). The last day out, we were in a hail storm and the trailer sustained damage. We took the trailer to La Mesa who assured us they would get the warranty work done and get the information sent to the insurance.

We did not need the trailer for two months and they assured us they would get everything done within the time frame. NOT. To make a lengthy story short - they still have our trailer and according to them, our warranty work is done but they have not been able to get the hail damage repaired. According to La Mesa, they didn't order our original metal but have included it in the order from Heartland. The metal has been sent twice and both times it had to be rejected because of damage. Supposedly, La Mesa checked with local places but could not get it done here.

Just a reminder, we started this process on June 23rd. We are again waiting for the metal to arrive to get the work done. La Mesa claims no fault as they cannot repair - unfortunately they keep forgetting the timeline... They have had the trailer since June 23rd. The Insurance Claim was not entered till the end of July. They have suggested we take our trailer as it was only cosmetic. One of the adjusters said that we probably could but that they did not advise taking it till all work was done. As for our request for compensation for storage fees, insurance... They claim they will not consider this as they are not at fault. They did offer to give us back our checks from the insurance and our personal check so we could go elsewhere. Then they tell us we would have to begin again, since we would have to order from Heartland. We are beyond frustrated!! We missed out on 3 trips including a family reunion. I would definitely give them a minus in service...

We were actually looking for a travel trailer about a year ago. Went to La Mesa RV in Sanford, walked around for about an hour looking at different RVs. No one ever approached us so we went into the main sales building and found one man off to himself, asked if we could get some information and was told he was on a line with a customer but was handed his card and told to give him a call in about an hour. Of course we bought an RV but not at La Mesa. We actually took a road trip to Dayton, Ohio and bought our RV for 8,000 less and had a great time during our adventure so I guess for that I have La Mesa to thank. I would not waste my time going there and I have no idea how they can continue running a successful business this way. Whoever owns this business, you need a fresh crew because these people are either in need of some serious training or they just burned out. So sad because we did see a couple RVs that were really nice.

We purchased a new diesel Winnebago View in 2013; unfortunately it has been a maintenance problem ever since. We have made 3 trips of 5000 miles or more; after each trip we returned with a list of at least six broken or failed items. We took the View back to La Mesa RV for repairs each time; however the repairs were sometimes shoddy and required a return trip, or sometimes after repair the same item would become unserviceable on the next trip. There were many small broken items like cabinet doors coming loose from hinges, doors that would not latch, levelers that bent, propane tank becoming blocked, and on and on. We are going to try RV Specialist of Sorrento Valley for repairs, and eventually another brand of RV from another dealer.

In Aug we purchased a 2009 Bounder at the RV Show in Alb at the convention Center. It had a sticker on the windshield show it was a Certified RV. It took almost a month for them to get it serviced so we could take delivery. At that time there were several things that needed repaired or replaced but said parts were ordered and it was nothing that would stop us from using it. We took it out for one weekend. Leveling Jacks, leaked oil and found several other things did not work. Door knob fell of the bathroom door. Took it back, they said parts were in to fix the original items and would take care of new list. Went to check on it today and nothing had been fixed, either the original items or any of the new items. Now the excuse is they have order jack. We are paying payments and insurance on something we can not use.

If it was a certified used I would think it would have been service completely checked out and ready to go. Wow, is that not the way they work. They want the money and signature on bottom line but cannot follow thru with the service. I traded in a trailer I bought at Chislom RV and their service was the best I have ever seen. Should not have went to La mesa. Buyer beware, do not fall for the BS. Worst place I have ever done business with. I will be lucky to get my RV for spring to use. Unbelievable anyone would run a business this way.

Warranty work to be done to a new 2014 RV purchased 4/25/2014 - We've now had our RV in for service 4 times each involving a 120 mile round trip from our home to the dealer. There have been a number of items requiring repair, to date only one actually repaired, the ice maker. Currently the RV has been in service since 9/9/2014. We were told it would be ready for pickup last Tuesday 9/16/2014. We made the trip only to find out that nothing had been done. We are planning to pick it up on Wednesday 9/24/2014. Before making the trip, again, we want to make sure it's ready & cannot get our service adviser, Chris, to even call us back!
