King of the Road Transport Reviews

We were moving from California to Maryland, but we only have a Mini Cooper, so we and the pets and everything we needed couldn't fit in that to get all the way across the country, so we needed to ship our car. A friend of mine had used King of the Road Transport before and they had such a good experience, and they recommended this transport company to us for moving our car cross country. We initially contacted King of the Road online and we were able to use the online quote calculator. At first, I clicked on the wrong item and got a high quote and the rep, Mark, immediately called me. We worked things out and I felt very good with the quote that we then got.

We went online and found King of the Road Transport. We got a hold of them and they contacted us back via email quickly. We went over all the information, such as where I needed the vehicle to go and when I needed it there. I felt good about the quote I got and thought it was fair. The rep I spoke with over the phone answered all my questions and everything went well. When they came out to pick up the vehicle, the guy was nice and courteous. Then when the vehicle got dropped off in Houston, the guy was nice as well. He already had it off the truck and ready to go when I came outside. The service was excellent all around.

I had to get my Camaro from the place I purchased it from in Iowa to my house in New Hampshire. I spoke with a number of transport companies, but I didn't feel comfortable with the other ones that I dealt with. I spoke to someone from King of the Road Transport on the phone and we talked well. The team set the transport service up and they were very helpful. The guy that delivered the car was nice and he delivered on time. After the delivery, I got an email from the customer service rep asking how things went, and she was very good. Everything worked out great with King of the Road Transport.

I had a big move from Orange County to Florida and I used King of the Road to transport my vehicle. The quote they gave was the same as what I paid for. But the interaction when the driver came to pick up the vehicle was poor. He wouldn't answer and then when he answered he was always late. He said he was going to arrive on a Saturday before six but he didn't. He was too optimistic and due to him being late, it forced me to fly back from San Francisco to Los Angeles on Monday to give the vehicle to him. Even though it took three days from the time my vehicle was picked up to when it was dropped off, which was quick, everything else was bad. Yet my overall experience with King of the Road was okay.

I didn't have a way of getting a vehicle from A to B and the vehicle wasn't running. I needed a trucking service to be able to pick up the car and drop it off. I researched and sought a place that had the best overall reviews and had the best pricing. I went with that combination and got King of the Road Transport. Their rep was friendly, polite, and professional. He worked with me and gave me a quote. However, when I called back a couple of weeks later, I had to speak to another guy. He was also professional, kind, and helpful. He tried to go with what the original guy had quoted me, but he felt like it wasn't going to be as easy to find a carrier. He got back in touch with me and indicated that if we could raise the amount that I'm willing to go, then maybe it will be quicker and easier to find a carrier. I was so disappointed in the process. Still, because of his professionalism, I decided to continue with it.

I was going to have the vehicle shipped from Virginia to Texas because I got a new job and had to move back. When I was initially trying to poke around for prices, King of the Road was the first people to get back to me. They weren’t the lowest price that I came across, but when I was ready to commit to someone and move the car, the person with the lowest price took too long to get back to me. King of the Road was really quick and because I needed to get everything done on the deadline that was very helpful.

I was moving from one place to another and working with King of the Road Transport was a very good experience. My friend had already used them and have had a good experience. The car came on time and on the said date. We had put some light stuff inside and everything works well in there. There were no issues at all. I called them and got a quote. The quote was okay and I went with them. Their rep was very good and I was briefed on everything. I called before and after and they were cooperative. Plus, they are very reliable. I would definitely recommend them.

I purchased a vehicle and I looked into companies to ship it. I researched online and looked at the recommendations which were favorable. There were some companies that reached out to me and they were higher in price but King of the Road's price was fair so I went with them. I told them what the distance was and they got back to me. They operate out of Florida and they told me what the terms where and how long it was going to take. Once they had a green light that the car was ready to be picked up, they adhered to that schedule. They picked up my vehicle in Cincinnati, kept me posted and delivered it a few days later as per schedule. I got a call from the carrier, he showed up at my house and I gave him a nice tip. I was really pleased with King of the Road. They didn’t suggest to me one thing and then did something else. What they told me was what happened. It was a simple experience and I’d use them again.

We were moving from Murrieta, California to Virginia and chose King of the Road Transport to move my car considering their record with the Better Business Bureau. I did a lot of research prior and as soon as I got online, the broker start calling and it’s about two months of everybody wanting to move the car. It’s very difficult to choose somebody because you really don’t know who you’re dealing with in most cases. Financial information will have to be passed on to people that you do not know and that is always scary. So I looked at who had the better BBB ratings and King of the Road was very good. Also, I had seen prices for that move from $850 up as high as $1500. And it came in a $1050, which is where I thought it would fall.

I was moving back to Nevada so I needed to ship my vehicle and the high ratings of King of the Road Transport on ConsumerAffairs and the good reviews made the decision for me. The quote was right in line with where I wanted to spend. I got a couple other quotes, but they were bad in the middle. The customer service reps were very efficient, everything went very smoothly and I was very happy. The fellow picked up the car early, so all of it worked out well. The service was excellent from the first response to the first email to the gentleman picking up the vehicle from me and the two gals that I spoke to. Everybody was very professional, to the point, there was no quibbling and they were on the mark. I shipped my car several times and this was the easiest of all. They did a great job and I was very pleased so everything worked out well.

The service I got from King of the Road Transport has been very good. I was shipping a car from Chicago to Florida and the quote I got from them was in the ballpark of what I was getting elsewhere, but the individual I worked with was reputable that’s why I went with them. He was responsive and got back to me after hours to let me know the status of what's going on.

When I did my research on transport companies, nothing really came up until my friend recommended King of the Road Transport and everything worked out great. I got a reasonable quote and their rep was really helpful in the beginning. This was the first time that I shipped a car and I had no idea how it worked but the rep had a lot of patience and explained everything that I needed to know. She also followed-up on me on the time that my car would get picked and made arrangements. During the pickup, she called me and asked me if I was ready for it and she also called back to see if I got my car and if I needed anything else. Everything came off perfectly and I highly recommend King of the Road Transport.

I had to have my vehicles shipped on a PCS move in the military. I filled out the quote online and got a couple of quotes back and I did some research. The reviews for King of the Road sounded a lot better than everybody else and they kind of helped me with making that decision. The quote was right and King of the Road was one of the first ones to call me and asked what I needed. I was a little late on sending back the document required because I didn't realize it went to my email. When I made a phone call, they told me not to worry about it and they would still take care of it. The service was professional and the vehicles are here and not damaged at all, and I appreciate that.

King of the Road Transport seemed a little more reputable and although their quote was not the lowest I received when I had gotten some estimates earlier in the summer, it was pretty much in the ballpark range. I also liked that I could also pay by Visa. A lot of these companies want you to pay by cash or certified check which I really was not comfortable with. The communication was there too. It was a difficult move from Vermont to Colorado because at certain points, we didn't have cell service so we couldn't communicate, but I was very pleased with how everything worked out. The people showed up when they said they would. The two young men who picked up the car were very nice and dependable. They showed up at six in the morning and in the middle of Vermont and they showed up at six in the evening on the day we bought the house. Overall, King of the Road Transport was adequate to do the job and the whole thing went as smoothly as it could.

My daughter is in college in California and I had to get the car down to her. King of the Road's price was competitive with other quotes I got and within $75 -$100. They were persistent with online checking back email. Their reps were great and made sure I knew all the steps. They followed up afterwards, and were very responsive. It worked out well and if I have to ship the car back, I will use them again.

I needed to transport my vehicle to the relocation and being able to get a quote online was a big factor in my choice of company because sites that didn’t allow that got weeded out. When I got quotes from a few different companies, I realized that King of the Road was competitive and they had a lot of good reviews too. From the communications with the website, they also seemed to be professional and that goes a long way with me. I would be willing to pay a little bit more for a professional response and I got that.

My husband couldn’t find a car in the neighborhood, so he got the car he wanted in Austin, Texas and we need to ship it over. So we checked online, and since King of the Road Transport had good customer reviews, we went with them. I spoke to their representative named Mark and he was awesome. Their contractor was super good too. Overall, they were communicative, reliable and it was reasonably priced, so all good.

King of the Road gave me a quote and there were two higher and two lower so it was upside and in the middle. Initially, I chose the other companies but King of the Road was confident they could get me a carrier. I was a skeptic but they came through so I was really pleased. The guy was so nice when he picked the car up and the transport went smoothly until the end. But they goofed up and told me that the car was going to be delivered four days later than it was. I told that to my daughter, who was getting the car, and she said that a guy had told her that the car was coming that day. I think they confused me with somebody else but it wasn’t a big problem, just a miscalculation on their part. It came within the range they said so somebody may have gotten their messages crossed up a little bit there.

We were moving to New York and needed a company to ship my vehicle. King of the Road Transport was on Better Business Bureau so I checked their website and called them since I didn't trust online stuff too much since I hear about a lot of scams. The representative who scheduled my transport was great. I talked to her once and never heard from her again. I tried to call back, but I couldn’t get a hold of her again. But everything went good. They would call two days prior just to tell us to stay on top of it because I was in the military and had a lot of stuff going on. With the time frame I gave, King of the Road had the best price. Other companies were hundreds of dollars above theirs. They were even trying to give me a discount for $50 cheaper. The only thing I'd want is something to track my vehicle just to keep me on the same page as them. But overall, I would recommend them to a friend.

King of the Road has very professional and top notch customer service. Everything was great with their rep, I have no complaints. They were very helpful all along the way, checking in and making phone calls every so often, so I didn’t have to wonder what was going on. They were able to ship my vehicle from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to California.

I had to ship my vehicle because of job relocation. King of the Road Transport was first to respond so I called them. They gave me the time and day when the truck is going to come and everything happened like what they told me. They were punctual and they have done excellent service.

Before we dealt with King of the Road Transport, we hired a trucking company that said they came and picked up the vehicle. We called the place where our vehicle was at and we were told it wasn't picked up and the company never arrived. There was a lot back and forth and we were charged for the pick up and we had to make them refund us for that. So, we were hesitant to deal with anyone or pay for anything at that point. But the guy from King of the Road that helped me out said they will take care of it, pick up the vehicle and once I've confirmed that it’s been picked up, then we'll deal with payment. And that's exactly what we did. It was quick and simple, so it worked out well.

I worked with Jeremiah on transporting a car from Chicago to Miami for our daughter. Very professional and organized, if he said he was going to call, he did. Always followed up, answered all our questions and explained exactly how the transport was done. When the time was right, there was a hurricane!! He contacted a transport company and a date was set. He gave us the protocol of the transport company and they did everything exactly as he said they would. This was the easiest experience I have had transporting/mailing anything. I would use King of the Road Transport again and will highly recommend to any of our friends, this service and company.

I was traveling and halfway home, I hit my car. I flew home and had King of the Road Transport ship my car. I had their number and they were the most available. The quote was reasonable at $300 and scheduling was easy. Plus, the driver was perfect. He dropped my car off where I needed it. I got my car in great shape within two days, which was a day after they picked it up. Overall, my experience is good. They were accommodating with my schedule and professional, and everything went very smoothly.

We had a great experience with King of the Road Transport. I looked at all the online reviews and they had the better ones. The rep that I dealt with was great. He worked with me since we had to change the time a couple of times. I couldn't do the transport every time he'd call and he could only do it in a certain window. I gave him the day that I could do the transport and he found somebody. He was really good to me.

He got back to me and called me saying he's getting somebody, and he did. And the two guys who picked the car up were so nice. King of the Road was efficient, reliable, extremely helpful and polite. They're doing an excellent job.

Initially, the quote from King of the Road Transport was a little more expensive than other quotes that I’d gotten. Then I worked with the representative and ended up getting something that I thought was fair. People were great and communicative, which was appreciated. And the shipping went just as planned, so it was all good.

Claire at King of the Road Transport was very professional and clearly explained the whole process to me. I had to ship a car I have owned for 38 years across country and was very concerned about the safety of the car. Claire arranged an independent transporter right away and a pickup date was set. The enclosed transporter took care of my car and called to notify me of a delivery time. Car was deliver across country in 6 days with absolutely no problems. From start to end this has been a truly positive experience for us. Everyone we dealt with on the phone was helpful and professional - as was the driver who transported our vehicle. Our car arrived quickly and safely. They took the stress out of having to transport our car across the country. I would definitely recommend King of the Road to others and will use them again if we need to relocate.

Moved from NJ to CA, it was a long long transport. But everything happened as expected and on time! I had a brand new car and it was delivered without a scratch! Not a single thing kept in the cars was missing and car was also delivered on the said date. Both pickups and drop offs were professionally handled. I would recommend King of the Road Transport for everyone. In case next time, I need to move I will use them again! Also, not to miss, the price was also very competitive.

With all of the scams going on with vehicle transporting it took me quite some time to select a company to transport my vehicle. However upon speaking with Mike at King of the Road, I felt comfortable entrusting them with my business. They did not charge me a deposit until they actually picked up my car. Additionally when they called and told me that my vehicle had been dispatched, my car was picked up the next day and delivered four days later. I paid the driver his fee upon delivery. They were true to their word. I thought it important I take this time to write a good review since I know there are people out there who may be leery as I was. These are good guys you can entrust your vehicle and business to them!

There was good follow up and attention to detail, plus he understood what I needed. I felt comfortable with who I was dealing with. I was moving across the country from New York to Tucson, Arizona. I've done some research and King of the Road Transport has good reviews and ratings. The person that I've been in touch with was very helpful and the online quote given was fair and exact. The scheduling was a little crazy and I can't book until the week before the move. I wanted to ship my Jeep from IN to CT for school and went through a ton of other shipping companies, who gave me outrageous quotes and who emailed, called and texted me way too much. A friend suggested that I contact KOTR and I talked to Bill who helped me out more than I thought anyone from a car shipping company would. He dispatched my car, kept me updated on any delays and called me the day of delivery and had someone call me today to make sure everything went well. He also offered me a student discount which helped a lot. I will definitely be using KOTR again.

King of the Road arranged for Fifth Wheel to load my Ford Fiesta in Warwick, Rhode Island, and transport it safely unblemished save to-be-expected road grime to Portland, Oregon, in 8 days delivering it a half hour after driver called me having downloaded it from the transport to a single vehicle flat bed to avoid possible damage trying to navigate a tree-lined street neighborhood street. Excellent, friendly service on both firms' part. All at competitive prices having researched perhaps ten transport businesses online.

I thought of moving my vehicle from Florida to Seattle. The quote that King of the Road gave me was within my budget and was also better than the others. They delivered to me what they promised. The only thing that could be good was if they delivered my vehicle to my location, like my home address or whatever address I gave. They just took it to some parking lot and, from there, I picked it up. It was not very far but it would have been better if they delivered it to me.

He was extremely helpful and made it sound like it would be no problem picking my car up in Manhattan and getting it onto a truck to California. He quoted me a very reasonable price, $1200. He found someone to do it and they would pick it up in Manhattan at no extra charge. Other transport companies were making such a big deal out of the fact that it was in Manhattan so I could just see the extra charges mounting up. And they couldn't do it on certain dates. It had to be planned and scheduled long in advance. Mark of King of the Road made it all so easy like, "No problem, we can do this easily." He was very hands-on.

We used King of the Road to transport our Toyota Avalon from Seattle to our granddaughter in Abilene TX. I researched extensively, their bid was mid range. I called for pickup Monday morning, was told 1-5 days to arrange pickup, 5-7 days to deliver, minimal deposit and remainder on delivery. So surprised when they called a few hours later and car was on its way by 1 pm! Surely this was too easy, but after several updates thru week our car was delivered in Texas Friday of the same week. Best service and customer support that I can recall in years! I would not hesitate to recommend them and our friends are still amazed it went so smoothly.

They did a great job and I was very satisfied with the experience. I have recommended them to a friend last week.

The woman from King of the Road who I spoke to was very helpful and knew what she was doing. Overall, King of the Road's service was fantastic and my experience with them was great. I highly recommend using this company for your auto transport needs. I relocated to FL from NJ and had to get my car picked up as close to a certain date as possible and delivered quickly. Bill ** was able to work with a great trucking company which really came through for me on all fronts. Car was picked up on the actual day I requested, and I had a great driver who delivered my car in perfect condition within 3 days. Great overall experience and I would use them again!

The day that I had made all the arrangements, King of the Road was the next one to call me and their rep was very polite, but unfortunately, I had already set the contract up. Then these other clowns just left me hanging. Our flight was in two days and if I didn’t get this car moved, I was going to miss flights for four people. When I called King of the Road, they got me hooked up and ready within two hours. Their rep had me ready to go on a truck. And when I told him we were military and told him my situation, I could not believe how fast he worked. He was great and I was pleased with the experience. They kept me and my wife happy. I will use him again.

I bought a car in California and I needed to get it to Salt Lake City. Friends of ours own a racing team and they transport a lot of cars and suggested that we use King of the Road Transport so I phoned them. Their price was great and competitive and at one point during the transaction, I considered transporting two cars so I received a great discount for the two. When it changed back to just one car, there was no problem with the back and forth that we had to do. It was really well-handled and great interaction. Their rep was great at coordinating everything and his speed of responsiveness when I had questions or changes was immediate. Communication was mainly email and texting after talking on the phone but regardless of the form of communication, it was fast, efficient and clear.

I purchased a heavy-duty truck in Florida and I needed it shipped to Virginia. I went to King of the Road Transport because my son-in-law had used them to ship a pickup truck from Idaho to Virginia when he moved back here. I had a broker work with me. He was in Florida and he had to find a truck that was a vehicle as large as the one I had purchased. He gave me an estimate but I did not hear back from him for a few days. I had contacted him again and he said that the estimate that he'd given me was lower than he was getting from the drivers. So he was trying to find the lowest provider. I told him I wasn't really concerned about a $100 or $200 difference. He went ahead and found somebody fairly quick after that. I would use King of the Road Transport again and I wouldn't hesitate.

I had a psycho job, so I had to quit and come home because I was broke. I needed to ship my vehicle and the quote given to me by King of the Road Transport was the cheapest. Having a price range made it quick and easy for me to decide to get them. The reps also kept in contact, called me right away and answered all my questions. King of the Road was great, but USA Transport, the company they contracted with, was not the best.

I was frustrated with that, but otherwise, it was good. And then we also used them when we had to bring the car back, which we did two weeks ago. The service was good and we were happy. I was satisfied.

But in my research, I encountered a lot of horror stories about how the companies that negotiate the price and then put this out for the driver would underbid and then the customers would end up being screwed because the drivers wouldn't show up or would demand more money when they got to the destination. Then I read about King of the Road Transport and I liked the reviews about them. They price appropriately so the customer gets a good quality driver that's also highly ranked, and there’s no haggling over pricing later.

I needed to get my car from Hudson Valley, NY to Tacoma, WA by a certain date. Everyone was so helpful in getting the car there on time. My original contact person explained everything for me and all the contacts after that were very reassuring. The driver was wonderful and very careful with the car when he loaded it, and the actual transporter was spotless and looked brand new. The driver was very thorough with his inspection and took down all of my info as well as the person receiving the car at the other end. He did communicate with that person about dropping the car off and did so on time and in perfect order. I'm so happy I used King of the Road and would recommend them highly.

They contracted for my jeep to be shipped from Texas to NY. They waited for a "REPUTABLE" shipper. Jeep arrived late, alleged delay due to transport truck transmission problem. Come to find top ripped and PATCHED, and top metal frame bent...never a mention. I reported delay to company, within the 15 day time limit, and was told "We already gave them a favorable review and there is nothing we can do..." Also, I paid MORE than the contract to get this done!!! Will gladly email copy of receipt. Tell me where please.

I was relocating to California and I needed to get my car shipped. The quote I got from King of the Road was reasonable compared to others so I chose to use them. I also read good reviews online. Their customer service rep was thorough and honest. He gave me good tips on how to navigate the situation and told me that they allow up to 50 pounds of stuff in the trunk. But once the company that actually ships the car contacted me, their representative was rude. She said I wasn't allowed to have a single thing in the trunk and that they were going to charge me extra. She also told me this 12 hours before they were going to pick up my car. It created a lot of stress at the last minute because I thought everything was taken care of. It caused me to panic because we had stuff in the trunk. At this point, I had completely moved out of my apartment and was getting ready to board a flight the next day. So I was very unhappy with how that representative handled the situation.

We were selling the vehicle to our daughter so we needed an auto transport company. I have looked at six companies and King of the Road Transport is Better Business Bureau certified and the most responsive. I had also checked in on some of the responses of other customers. By error, they gave me an original quote and they stuck to it so I feel good about it. They're very pleasant on the phone and stayed on top of my work order to see that my vehicle was transported. Their customer service representative was also having trouble getting somebody coming to this direction but they were good with my availability date. It was documented and they made a call to me everyday giving me an update. They provided excellent service and for the most part, everything went very smoothly. I would recommend them to someone else.

I was shipping a car to my son in Florida and my brother did the research on transport companies. He went online and King of the Road was one of the companies that came up. When I called them, I asked how much it would be to transport the car from Madera, California to Melbourne, Florida. They looked it up and said they had a company out in Fresno, California. They quoted me the price and it was closer for them to pick up the car, which was why I went with them. I've already recommended them to other people.

There were a few Better Business Bureau reports that I had looked at and after I had looked at those, I looked at Yelp reviews and King of the Road seemed to be on the better side. I was called back by their customer service rep and she went through what was going to happen, when the payments would be and how the pickup would work. All my questions were answered before the pickup. Their rep was able to work with me and got the pickup and delivery times. When I had to reschedule, King of the Road was able to work with me on that as well. Also, the drivers were very knowledgeable and courteous. They gave me a good estimate on when my car was going to arrive. And so, I was able to set something up with my girlfriend for her to pick up the car. Overall, the process worked really well.

I liked King of the Road's reviews and I had an amazing experience with them. The level of service is very good. The guy that we were working with to send the car to Texas was very, very nice, and the girl that was helping me on the phone was very helpful as well.

I was sending a vehicle to my dad and he picked King of the Road to transport it. The transport driver was great. He was confident, very nice, gentle and he knew what he was doing. My dad received it and he likes it when someone shows confidence when they do something. They are experienced, accurate and efficient.

We're down in Tennessee and had a car that was up in Minnesota. Shipping it was the easiest way to get it down here. I looked at reviews online then I just called people. I liked the way they talked at the King of the Road Transport. The gentleman I spoke with was very professional. He quoted me a price and stuck to it. It went very smoothly as opposed to some of the other ones, a couple of them were hostile. With King of the Road, when it was over and done with and the gentleman said, “It will be there,” and it was. My interaction with their rep that scheduled my transport was very good too and it was very professional.

The quote they gave was fair, though we didn't have much choice in these things because they're all different prices. I thought it was on the low end and they'd go up, plus it was in the height of the season when we sent it up and had no choice. But the driver was a very nice man and he did a great job. When he got to Staten Island, the driver was able to park his vehicle, took the car off, and drove it into my niece's driveway.

He just sounded a little bit like he was screaming at us fast about his answers which was fine but it wasn’t very warm. But they were quick. When I got the quote I was told the car would be delivered within seven to ten days but I got it within 5 days. They got the job done well.

My vehicle was picked up in Spring, TX on Monday morning at 10:00am and delivered to my daughter in Madison, WI at 10:00am on Wednesday. No problems at all... just a very well managed transport. I was living in California for a few months and I needed to get my car back to Virginia. All the prices I got from the transport companies were within $100 of each other. King of the Road Transport had a similar price but it didn’t have too many bad reviews online. Their customer service representative was mostly responsive and cared about my concerns. They were pretty good. In the nature of the business, they hire independent truckers, so the problem was for the consumer-end for King of the Road. They have a limited amount of control. But everything turned out fine with the service they provided and my contact with King of the Road dispelled any concerns I had and made me feel comfortable. I referred them to someone who just finished using them.

Auto transport companies are brokers and the reality is that it's relatively rare to be able to call the trucking company and depend on a big step up for vehicles. I've never found a consistent and reliable way to do that. I have that experience with some of the brokerage companies where I had to be careful because they really want to take their fee upfront, which means I end up being dedicated to them, and if they're not going to focus on their business then I'm out of luck. But I've had some experiences before which were generally pretty good. I found companies that were reliable but they tend to go out of business. But while they were there, they did a nice job.

I was relocating from state to state and King of the Road Transport gave me a better deal and worked with my schedule. I asked for a veteran's discount but they didn't offer anything, and the quote was marginal. At first, the lady tried but couldn't get anybody who would pick up the cars in Albuquerque and take them to Saint Louis. I had to leave on a certain day and they weren't sure if they were gonna settle. There was a lot of back and forth because there's one guy who was gonna go home and drive back dry. Then the gentleman, who eventually did it all, went out of his way to get the cars to me because I didn't want to leave them by. In the end, I got my vehicles without damage which is a good thing because they're classic cars and they also got my brand new bike to me safe.

I searched online and I got the cheapest quote I could find for a transport company but they ended up flaking out of me. I did an online quote with King of the Road Transport and a rep called. She was extremely helpful, very straightforward and completely upfront with me about the price. The next morning, she had someone lined up and it was easy-peasy. It was $1,000 more than what I was originally quoted from the first person who took me down but I can't be picky to get a transport for this cost or spend the money to drive two cars cross country with two kids. And after I got my car, they called to make sure I got it and I was happy with the service. I would use them again.

I found that King of the Road Transport was rated very highly on the Better Business Bureau and they have a competitive quote. We initially had a couple of challenges because, unfortunately, I had a death in the family right as we were about to move, so I needed to change the move date boosting my price up a little bit. But it worked out well in terms of us making changes to the date. It was very good service. The accessibility was easy to not only the driver but back to the person who was coordinating the trip. Terrible customer service. My car failed to meet me at my destination, left me stranded in the airport and refused to answer their phone all day on a Tuesday (business day). I had to book a motel. I could go on and on. Do yourself a huge favor and pick someone else.

The actual transport Driver was polite, professional and punctual regarding the pickup and the drop off. The vehicle arrived without any damage, the actual driver communicated very well with us. This was the good part of the situation. The broker that we used King of the Road, was just like all the other ones we started to use and cancelled out with. They talk the talk but when it came to the price they quoted it so the customer accepts the quote, then all of a sudden the price was one that they could not find a carrier to charge for the trip so you guessed it the price went up. Then the real situation that annoyed me took place.

I talked to a sales rep about the price and I asked him if he could do $600 and he told me that he would post it the following Monday because it was more likely to be seen and picked up. It then got scheduled for the following weekend. I received an email and a phone call from King of the Road, and then a phone call from the actual driver letting me know the timeframe that he'll be coming by. I was ready when he came by, inspected the car for five minutes, and then took it. They were very good.

King of the Road Transport's pricing was decent as compared to some of the others' which was like a couple of hundred dollars expensive. That and their online reviews led me to choose them. I used their online quote calculator and while it didn't affect my purchase decision, it made the process go a bit faster than usual because getting that quote itself sometimes can be a tedious process. However, these prices online are not the final ones and you will want to like negotiate and talk to them about the total. I was able to reduce it a little bit after talking to them personally, and the quote I received worked out well.

Top class service at reasonable price. This is my first car transport experience and I am very glad to use King of the Road Transport. Picked up on time and delivered one day prior to the promised date. The best part was they allowed me to keep some stuff in the car, so I was able to get some basic needs delivered along with the car. In my case the car had to be picked up by a friend at destination, so I was little skeptical about any damages that may occur, but fortunately there were no damages/scratches/dents. The guy from King of the Road that I was talking to said that the other places would not want to take my vehicle unless I paid what they wanted, which was $1150, and then they gave a $50 discount for military. There was no communication. They just kept saying, “Get a hold of this number and call this lady.” I would call them and they would be like, “We’re gonna have the dispatcher call you.” The dispatcher didn't call. It was a mess. It took me three days to figure out where my vehicle was and who the dispatcher was.

King of the Road's quote was very competitive and one of the cheapest. They also had customer service that's why I used them. They kept me informed on how everything was going. We’ll use them again for another car purchase.

Almost two months ago, I needed a transport company to get my vehicle to Washington and King of the Road Transport sounded reasonable among other companies. The guy that I talked to was good plus their service was fast.

Decided to transport wife's vehicle since driving thru Atlanta is hard enough with just a u-haul much less towing a vehicle. If you have ever dealt with companies in SE FL, you know that it can be a scary experience. After the delivery of our vehicle, KOTR is one of the very few companies I would ever do business with who is out of South FL. Called and Bill was my point of contact. He got me hooked up with TJ's Transport & Trucking LLC. Jackson was on time and when I saw his rig I thought it as a lot newer than it was. Excellent condition for both the tractor and trailer. The owner even delivered it himself. Great service. If we ever have to relocate, we will call KOTR first off. Great service.

I was moving from California to North Carolina and I wasn't able to drive both cars so I had to have King of the Road Transport trailer one of them. I heard I could trust them and they were well priced. They were able to pick my car up when I needed it to be picked up. I had two days left to be able to find a company so it was really convenient. I used a broker and the broker got them. They were cheaper than other companies because somebody else told me I could have gotten my car picked up for $1,200. But with King of the Road Transport, I ended up paying $800. The delivery of the car was early and the driver gave me a heads-up and met me in the town where I live in now. Other companies were saying I have to meet them two hours away which wasn't really going to work out. King of the Road was definitely good. The whole experience has been easy and convenient.

My son was going to college at Houston and he was coming back in Denver for the summer. He wanted the vehicle back here in Denver so our admin searched online and found that King of the Road is a very good company. They rose above others with their customer feedback so we used them. The quote they gave was reasonable but it wasn’t the lowest. It was $500 or $600 just to transport the vehicle. We had to look at the value of the vehicle if it's worth bringing it over here for that price. A couple of hundred dollars would have been the best price for us. I hadn't done this thing before so I was very concerned. But from the way it was explained, the customer service handled it really well. And my son enjoyed how they interacted promptly. The car didn’t arrive on time but we had a buffer built in in our mind so that was good.

It was a stab in the dark but I was pretty happy since it worked out almost seamlessly on the other end when they delivered my vehicle. I flew in on a Sunday and I checked into my hotel and the car was ready to be picked up so they couldn’t have planned it any better. It was an easy to use process dealing with King of the Road. And the quote was reasonable. I looked at the cost of doing the driving myself and using King of the Road was the way to go. I would use them again if needed.

One thing that was important to me was that when I spoke, I was able to get in touch with someone immediately or they called me back shortly and that let me know that that wasn’t some kind of front or fly-by-night organization. They passed and I chose them.

My husband and I were moving on military orders across country. He was driving one car and we decided to ship the other. I booked the transport and it was dispatched for my original requested date. The cs rep that I talked to was prompt and the driver was awesome. They delivered the vehicle to an out of the way place without any problems, without any questions and without being late. They took care of what they needed to and did not leave me hanging anywhere. We took the guys out to dinner. King of the Road Transport' service was excellent.

When ship the car, broker always start low quote price and charged you then come back ask more fee to transport car. If you don't agree they just keep the deposit and non refund to you. But dealt with King of the Road company few time, they never do that. They don't charge you until the car shipped and you agree the amount. And they keep you informed every day and work on you side to get best price, let your car get transported. Best company I deal with so far.

The customer service representative was a very nice guy, did the calculations for me, and told me how long it would take. He also called before to let me know when the guy would be coming to pick up the car and called on the day the guy was coming to let me know in advance what time he should be there. The driver was also a great guy. He was actually a little early and he checked and went over the car thoroughly. Then we chitchatted about the sum of everything. The best thing about this great experience is that King of the Road kept me informed even when my vehicle was gonna make it to Arizona earlier than it was supposed to. They called so I can make arrangements. So, they did a great job.

King of the Road Transport was recommended off of a neighborhood Facebook page. I called their number and talked to somebody. I got a whole bunch of quotes from other companies and King of the Road's price was pretty much in the same ball game with everyone else. Everything was great. I would use them again and recommend them.

We struggled to find a shipper willing to take our very large vehicle (Ford Excursion). Max worked worked with us and came up with a fair price. The vehicle showed up in the time frame promised. The Driver was also very helpful and responded quickly to our calls. He was also very considerate of us and having looked ahead and see that our neighborhood had low hanging trees he suggested meeting us somewhere nearby so that the vehicle was not scratched up. Overall very satisfied with the service.

Very professional and customer oriented company. I would happily recommend using their services. I asked them to transport my Prius 2017 from Bay Area, California to Chicago Suburb. Claire was very patient to answer my questions. Car was transported without any issue on day of first availability. No hidden charges.

I contacted King of The Road online and they said that they were trying to help me. But some lady called me from a different company and she was trying to accuse King of the Road of being unprofessional. She was saying anything she could to get my money, was rude and pissed me off. But I deal with car dealers all the time and I took it the same way I would take a car dealer. The rep I worked with at King of the Road was friendly but I'm not sure if he spoke English and if I had any questions, I don't think he would be able to help me at all. Also, when the car got here, it was dirty and really gross like it went to a dust storm right after the rain. But that's not in their control and this may be what I expected since I never shipped cars before.

Transporting car from NY to CA. Company was great to work with on the front end. Made all arrangements in one day to have the car picked up the following week and got an excellent price. Only problem was when the car was to be delivered between 10am-12pm it wasn't delivered til a couple hours after that without any communication regarding the delay. Posed a problem in my case because I had someone waiting for the car at a location away from the house. Other than that, the company was very good to work with.

I was having an MG sports car that I bought shipped in and the people that I bought it from chose King of the Road Transport to ship it. The driver called to let me know his approximate arrival time and it was outstanding that I got it the evening before I was expecting it. They couldn't get quite all the way to the house, but they got really close. Everything arrived in good condition and I really appreciate that. The tires had gone flat on the car and so the guy and I both pushed it out, and he worked very hard. After that, I inflated the tires and got home easily. I was happy with everything.

I hired KOTR to find a reliable trucking firm to deliver my truck from Texas to Missouri. We came to an agreement, and money was exchanged. My rep was great to work with, returning calls very promptly. Then we entered the twilight zone. The delivery driver was a no show. No contact for days. My rep helped me contact them, finally, and they gave another delivery date. That date came and went without notice, so we contacted them again. "Sorry, it's going to be next week before we can deliver." Then, notice was given that the driver was hospitalized, so more delay.

He also called me before he reached the village, after he put the car on the trailer and two or three more times on the way from Florida to Vegas.

I purchased a vehicle off of eBay and used King of the Road to ship it based on their initial responses. The customer service rep gave me a price, which seemed reasonable and was within the ballpark of everybody else’s. He returned phone calls and messages which I liked. However, the service itself was not that great. The vehicle looked like they had something inside the car. There was some marks on the leather and then the vehicle was very filthy. It was an open trailer so that’s okay, but as far as putting stuff inside, that wasn't something I expected.

My wife went down to Florida because Vermont has very strict laws about their cars falling apart so one needs to go to a place or a state that’s not in the Rust Belt. I needed to have a vehicle up where I am so I availed car shipping services and by luck of the draw, I ended up with King of the Road Transport. My experience with them started out great but it went downhill.

I couldn't drive the vehicle myself so I shipped it thru King of the Road Transport. I talked to Hal over the phone but the cost ended up being a little more than what they said by $100, which I wasn't happy about. It was a fine experience nevertheless. They were all pleasant and the shipment was easy to do. My car arrived where it was supposed to and that's what I needed.

I bought a truck in Muskogee, Oklahoma and I live in Indio, California. I didn't have the time to take off work and go look at it so I bought it sight unseen and had King of the Road bring it to me. The customer service rep was really nice. He always seemed to get back to me as far as giving me details on when the truck would be picked up, and when they got the pickup, he called me. They had very good communications. The driver himself was a good guy, too. I enjoyed the whole overall experience. I'd definitely recommend somebody to King of the Road Transport.

Bill, the customer service representative, was very helpful with the quick turnaround that I needed. He was easy to get a hold of and you can call or text him. He was also able to answer questions and was very timely with his responses. Everything was great. Their service is reliable.

I was moving from California to Texas and went with King of the Road since they had great reviews on the Better Business Bureau. I worked with a guy named Mike and he was amazing. He made the process very easy and seamless. He helped me the whole way through and I was very satisfied.

I was worried because there's a lot of bad content on the web saying about the nightmares shipping your car and bad things that happened but King of the Road was great. Alex was the one who talked to me most of the time when the car was being shipped and she was awesome. She kept me updated on what was going on and answered all my questions. She tried to help me with anything that came up that I thought I needed to know about. She was accommodating and she stayed on top to call me and keep in touch with me.
