I was moving and was shipping my vehicle from Ventura town, California to Kansas City. I asked several people and somebody recommended King of the Road to me. I called them and the price was right. What I was quoted and what it ended up paying was the same. The transport organizer was very nice and very cordial. I had to call her back about some questions and the first time I called, she wasn't in. I left a message and she returned the call promptly. The experience was great. When my vehicle arrived, everything was fine and in order. The vendor that they've used to move my vehicle was very nice, very cordial and very communicative. It was a good experience as well. I would definitely recommend King of the Road to somebody else.

My experience with King of the Road was very positive. I was getting my car to my daughter who lives in California. I looked up a number of reviews on a few different transport companies and when I asked for a quote, the email that King of the Road sent me was straightforward. It seemed like it was gonna be easy to book with them and they didn’t send me 25 emails trying to get me to book with them. They were easy to schedule and book with, and they kept in communication with me the entire time. The driver was great. I live in an apartment complex and he met me in a Walmart parking lot next to my complex. And then, he drove me back to my apartment and everything went very smoothly.

I was very nervous about shipping my vehicle from Hawaii to Arkansas because I have never done this before. Marc contacted me and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision to go with King of the Road. He was available to answer my questions everytime I emailed or called. Also, Alex in customer service was wonderful! I was kept informed of my vehicles movements from the day it was dropped off at the port in Oahu until it reached my home. I got relocated for a new job and I needed to ship my vehicle. Jessica, the person I interacted with at King of the Road, was good. I liked how she explained and the way she said things straight. Yohan, the driver, was super good too. Both of them were super amazing. They took care of me. I had offers from five companies that had about the same rate but Jessica got me a good rate, which was at par with the others. The vehicle was the same when it arrived and they had delivered it exactly at the time I wanted. So far, it has been working good. I would definitely recommend King of the Road.

I live in New York and my vehicle was in Texas. I looked at a couple of companies to ship it and King of the Road Transport seemed to be the most efficient as far as what I was trying to do, time-wise. As soon as I contacted them, they sent me a quote via email. The quote was reasonable and the next day, the vehicle was picked up. The rep gave me all the information I needed. I had steady contact with the drivers as far as once the vehicle was picked up, en route, and then on the delivery itself. It took five days for the vehicle to get here and the timing was perfect. Everything worked out great and I would recommend them. They were completely trustworthy and very reliable.

I have a car that I moved every summer and winter and I’ve used King of the Road several times to broker me a deal. I was extremely happy with Spade Transportation. They did a fine job and they were communicative. Once I had the driver and the information with them, everything was great. However, the King of the Road part of it was a little less than optimal. The manager was very competent but the agent who was handling me was scrambled. The woman would not call nor email me back, and I would have to call and get the supervisor who would take care of everything. I was not happy with them because I was trying to get a deal done and the woman was not professional. It would be better if you got a different person to help you.

I bought a vehicle from a dealer in Houston and I stayed in Midland so, I needed someone to ship it over to me. My friend is into the car business and he’s been using King of the Road Transport for a while. He told me they are reliable, so he introduced me to them and they were good. I got the quote by phone and the rep was nice, respectful and patient. She did very well. She answered all of my questions and when we had problems, she was able to resolve them. The driver was supposed to deliver it on a Monday, but it came on Sunday. I was surprised and I was happy with it. King of the Road was great and I would refer friends.

I was fine with the price that they gave seeing as far as they had to come. Also, the agents whom I worked with handled business well. They were kind and they knew what they were talking about. On BBB King of the Road is A+. The driver they set to pick up my vehicle was professional and kept in contact all the way to the destination. He put air in my tires and my car got there really fast. I purchased a new vehicle and was transferring it from Vermont to Missouri. King of the Road had a very good rating and they seemed very reliable after talking to them. They were very upfront and expedient with getting the job done. Their transport organizer was very informative as to how the procedure works and we had a very good interaction. The initial quote they gave was a very legitimate one and it did not change. The driver was very professional and provided excellent service. It took 4 days to transport the vehicle. He kept us informed of when he was coming, where he was and when he dropped the vehicle off. King of the Road is very honest with new customers. They actually tell you what's going on so you can understand the procedure.

I Googled transport and King of the Road had good reviews but I had a good feeling once I actually talked to the customer service person. They weren’t hounding me and calling back and they were very friendly. Their reps answered all my questions and gave us a quote. They tried to help explain to me what port it would be going out of and they went through the transport from Hawaii to LA with me online with maps. They ship only on certain days and if our daughter had waited a couple of days, it would have put it back for a whole another week just because of the timeline that matched. They helped me understand that.

King of the Road provided an enclosed trailer for shipping my vehicle at a price that was better than what I could get anywhere else. They had it delivered in three days, and after moving about 1,260 miles, we paid the exact same amount that we were quoted.

I made the fateful mistake of clicking a shipping company or a trucking company online and my phone lit up like crazy. They wanted me bad, but Jessica from King of the Road called and I told her the situation. She explained it very well and simply, and I easily understood it. She was outstanding. I rewarded her for being so straightforward and taking the time to explain it to me. They quoted the move before they even picked the vehicle up and the price was always agreed to before the move was done. I bought a new car for my son in Atlanta and sent it over to him, then brought the other one that he was using back to Atlanta. My daughter relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, so we shipped her car from Atlanta to Scottsdale. I wasn’t in Scottsdale but I checked everything with my daughter if there was an issue, and there was none. One of the vehicles was particularly dirty, but that happens from the truck on the road.

Their quote was all right and although they have charged me to pay up a little bit, it was fair in the end. The rep was always in touch, they delivered on time and the condition of the car was the same as it was when it got on.

I received a call from the dispatch to set up the delivery time and it was only when they delivered the car that I talked to the drivers. They did a good job.

But when it comes to that week to do it, they raise their prices on you all of a sudden.

My initial phone call with King of the Road to have my car shipped to Georgia was good and their rep was very informative. Their reviews online were pretty good, too. There were some pretty cheap quotes, but they seemed sketchy. But the quote that King of the Road gave me was right in the middle and it was the same price I had to pay in the end.

Then they delivered the car straightaway. It was about 36 hours and even then, they were calm and nice about it when compared to other drivers, who are usually grumpy. It was a good experience.

At the time, I was in a jam because I already signed on with one company a month before and they weren't gonna show up. So, I called King of the Road's rep at 10 o'clock in the morning and she called me back at 11:00. Then the vehicle was picked up at 6:00 that night. It couldn't have been better. They're intermediates and what they do is they post the shipment on a board then the drivers are out there and look to see what area they're gonna be in and the posting price. So, when King of the Road posts a vehicle, you can get a low of $500 or a high of $1,000. You get what you pay for though because they were very efficient.

I had to move my car from Jacksonville to Fort Lauderdale because I was planning to do some repairs for my son. I posted online and a few companies gave me their quotes and King of the Road gave me the best one. Their rep was really proactive when we were scheduling my transport. He was trying to find the best deal for me. During delivery though, they had some kind of small delay trying to get into my community because it was a narrow access with the gate control and because it was a long platform. They didn't realize that it was kinda narrow and they didn't have too much room to maneuver. Other than that, everything was well done. If I need to use this type of service in the future, I would be calling King of the Road directly.

Whatever she said or quoted, that’s what it was. Also, wherever they were, they let you know. Everything was great and I had no problems.

I initially went with a different company but cancelled after Marc ** from KotRT was upfront and gave me a blank contract to review and which all vehicles got picked up for what rate from central dispatch. (Basically every brokerage company like KotRT post a service fee for the actual transport company for the service of transporting the vehicle. If the transport company is willing to transport the vehicle for that service fee they will pick up the assignment to transport the vehicle from central dispatch. If the fee offered is too low then the vehicle might not get picked up. If it's too high you will end up paying more money. So for e.g. if the brokerage company is charging 1000 USD then out of that 200 USD might be their commission and 800 USD is the fee of the transport company.)

I did some investigation and I called King of the Road's customer service which is the best so that established a relationship for another call. The quotes were very good. They weren’t the lowest and they weren’t the highest. But they were the most upfront on what the whole cost would be and the only one that put in writing that everything was included in the price. Their customer service reps were very upfront, asked a lot of questions, answered questions, made sure that I understood the process clearly and did a good job of follow up as well.

We were moving from California to Washington. A few of the reviews we saw online seem to indicate that King of the Road is reputable and that they completed their work, so we used them. Their rep was very helpful and follows up a lot. She called and email, as well, so there was good and ongoing communication. The driver was an independent contractor who lives in the are we left from and he was pretty awesome and professional. He took photos of the car, loaded it up, and it was all very painless. Also, the free quote I got was reasonable and was pretty right on with the amount I paid in the end.

We needed to get our daughter’s car from Connecticut to Texas and chose King of the Road because of the internet reviews. Also, they had good follow through and there were no negative comments about the drivers. The rep who scheduled the transport was great. He communicated with me weekly and then, daily when our call was in shipping status. Also, the shipper was very good and the transport took five days because their truck broke down, but it was fine. The vehicle was perfect when it arrived and the quote I originally got was the same as what I had to pay in the end. I’ve dealt with other transporters and King of the Transport is great.

I bought a car out of state and I needed it transported to my home. King of the Road seemed to be reputable and one of the women there, Claire, was very nice. Also, the price was right. However, the transport itself was problematic. King of the Road needed to do a more thorough check on the condition of the truck they're using. I was supposed to get my car on Tuesday. The guy called on Monday and told me that the truck broke down in New Mexico. Then he called me on Friday and said that the truck broke down again at about 20 miles from my house. I had to get the car and he knocked $25 off the fee. The car was delivered two and a half days late but it was in good shape. Everything was positive and I was pretty satisfied.

I had my car shipped over from overseas. I hired King of the Road to transport my vehicle to me. I had some hiccups with paperwork on releasing the vehicle from the port. They were great and patiently waiting for me to get my vehicle paperwork done and got a truck to bring me my vehicle the next day. I would highly recommend them!

I normally do not write reviews but feel compelled to provide this one. I recently transported a WWII Willys Jeep (non-running) from NY to FL. Sorting through the various companies that offered their trucking services seemed monumental and almost overwhelming. Reading through the reviews of numerous companies I found King of the Road. I further found that they seemed to have the best overall ratings and satisfaction from previous customers. It was a leap of faith on my part when I contacted King of the Road to ship my vehicle.

I contracted with King of the Road Transport to ship my Jeep from San Francisco to Austin. My truck showed up in Austin with a mirror broken, and the damage deliberately hidden. The driver rushed me into signing the paperwork without letting me examine the vehicle, then basically said "Haha sucker!" and rushed away in his truck. 4 minutes later when I called King of the Road Transport about the damage they basically said "Haha sucker!"

I'm in the military and I got stationed at another location. I used King of the Road to get my car shipped from San Diego to Maryland and it has been very easy experience overall. I like the quote they gave me and it was justifiable. The representatives responded quickly, were friendly and courteous, and answered all the questions I had. The transport took five days from when the car was picked up to when it got delivered. The only drawback I encountered was that I had to travel 15 miles to meet with the driver, but that was not too bad. I thought it will be hard to transport my vehicle, but I liked the way King of the Road dealt with me. I would recommend them and I would love to do business with them again.

I was shipping my vehicle to a place that was 1,800 miles away. I looked at half a dozen companies and King of the Road had some of the best ratings on the internet. Pretty much, the ratings were all I had to go on and the prices were pretty compatible. The rep was very good all around. He was very courteous and prompt, and he made a good follow up. Also, the driver was excellent. So, King of the Road made a good decision there.

King of the Road Transport's customer service rep was fine and helpful. However, the delivery took longer than I expected. I didn't understand that it would be more like 10 days. For some reason, I was thinking five days. But that was the only thing. The vehicle got there safely and everything was fine.

I can't say enough how pleased I am with King of the Road Transport. I purchased a vehicle through an auction and had reached out to many brokers. This was my first time using a broker or needing a vehicle shipped. Regretfully, I first booked a different broker. Big mistake. They were quick to take $200 from me and provide little to no communication and they finally dropped off the earth. Mary from King of the Road send me an email after the 3rd day of no communication from the other broker and her timing could not have been any better! Mary took the time to walk me through the process and how her company can get my shipment taken care of expeditiously.

I called to request a quote from King of the Road because of the reviews. I was told by the representative that they pick up in this area every Tuesday and Thursday and they had available Aug. 19th and 24th for the Pasha shipping vessel that departed the Aug. 8. Since my son, who is moving to Hawaii was working out of town and wanted to work a few more days. The representative never told me that the 24th that was the final date the truck company could pick up the motorcycle and deliver it to Pasha for the ship that leaves on the 8th and I was never told that it had to be there on the 31st. On the 25th the day prior to us expecting the motorcycle to be picked up, somehow we got word that it would not be able to be picked up the 26th, but even if they were able to pick it up that day it would not get to Pasha in time for the ship that left on the 8th for pickup on the 17th.

King of the Road Transport is accredited with the Better Business Bureau and so when we moved and had to transport our vehicle, we chose their service. I used the online calculator to get a general price range. Then, we got a bit of a discount after talking to someone since we had used them in the past. Their customer service reps were very helpful too. They kept us informed as to the progress. I also communicated with the driver. He came on time and the vehicle was in good condition.

You’re not gonna get a guy who will drive across the country if he’ll lose money. But none of them had anyone who would go to Rugged Maine to pick up the car for me. It took about a week for King of the Road to find someone willing to get that load. I secured transaction for the deposit and a guy picked up and delivered the car. Their customer service rep kept me informed of the entire process. But he probably over-communicated because he kept calling me a couple of times a day when they were still looking for somebody to pick my car up. Nevertheless, I was happy with the service I received.

King of the Road Transport drove my car to Wilmington, North Carolina and they were wonderful. The people that took the booking were very professional and made me feel at ease. Everything was expected and the car got here when it was supposed to and it was in great shape as it was when they got it. I’m living in a brand new apartment complex so the address can’t just be put into the GPS. So they found the leasing office and called me from there, and I told them how to get to the apartment and they delivered the car right to me. Also, the quote was exactly what they said it would be and I had to have a check ready for them when they got here. They also didn't hold me up for any more which was something other car transport companies do. It was very well done.

As a Father's Day gift to our dad, we had his antique car shipped from Orlando to Minneapolis where he moved. The only problem I had was that there was some conflict about what day the car was gonna be picked up because I set the available pick-up days. I used King of the Road Transport to move my car from Orlando, Florida to Cedar Hill, Texas. The organizer was helpful and she was good when I spoke to her. The only issue that I had was that after I was given a quote, she called me back when the move was closer and she told me that the rates had gone up. They needed to put me on something else but I was told that, once I made the reservation, it was locked-in. Anyway, the driver was very professional and he delivered my car on time. He kept me updated on everything that was going on even what time he was gonna arrive.

She moved from Philadelphia to San Diego but we had her car moved to Sacramento because our son lives there. We called in to get a quote and it was comparable. She gave me very timely updates, like when the driver was gonna be there. The driver also seemed very nice and easy to work with. There was an estimated pick-up date and they missed out by over a week. But once it got picked up, the actual transportation was a lot quicker than I expected.

The car they removed going off to me was a Toyota truck or SUV and the driver who was dropping off my car could have gotten off the ramp a little bit slower for that particular vehicle. When they moved my car, it was a lot slower, so I’m hoping the car was treated the same way going on and going off. Nevertheless, i would still recommend them.

I moved from Texas to Georgia and I needed my car over. King of the Road gave me a better deal and although everybody would like to pay less, I was okay with the quote. They were cheaper and they were consistent. They wanted the work and they kept in touch with me. I didn't have a set date when I would like for the car to get over but I told them I would let them know and they said okay. They were very professional about it too.

We needed a fire truck shipped from Chicago, Illinois to Washington and King of the Road Transport was about 50% less than the other companies that transport the same size of vehicle. However, the interaction with them went very bad at first. When I purchased the vehicle, the seller stated that it was 11-foot in height so that was the dimension I gave to King of the Road. After the truck was picked up by the driver, they started to transport and then I got a call from King of the Road. They said, “Hey, we got a problem. The truck’s sitting at the state line and they’re way over height.” I asked how bad and they said the truck's 12-foot and 2-inches tall. The place where I parked the truck is only 12 feet tall with a door so I said, “This load can’t be 12-foot-2.” But they said that it was and that they were stuck right and needed permits.

King of the Road Transport had good reviews and their price was reasonable. It wasn’t the highest nor the lowest and they also offered some insurance for my car which we had to ship to Virginia where we were moving. The customer service representative was nice, and gave me all the facts about the transport. Also, the driver who picked the car up seemed friendly enough and knew what he was doing. King of the Road did a great job and my car got here in one piece. And the quote stayed the same at the end. Everyone was happy.

That's why I came back and hired their services again. I drove the vehicle to a big parking lot because the driver wouldn’t be able to get into our subdivision. I got one call that said that the transporter was in Texas and he'll get to California in two or three days. There was no rush and the guy told me that he's a single driver and it will take him five days to travel from Florida to California, but that was fine. I would recommend King of the Road.

The driver that was assigned, Jacob, actually delivered the vehicle 2 days earlier than originally expected, which was a great help to our son in the Air Force who was waiting on the car. I solicited a number of bids when I had to move across the country. King of the Road came in at the lowest bid and they had satisfactory reviews online. Everything went fine until there was an issue with the carrier company. They were apparently picking up another vehicle that was similar in the same city. We started getting conflicting information about when they were coming. I got a call from King of the Road telling me that the carrier was on the way to pick up the vehicle the next day when the vehicle had actually been picked up the day before. And I was out of town trying to figure out where the car actually was and trying to make sure that it was going to the right place. Apparently, it was all a screw up on the carrier’s end, but King of the Road was understanding and supportive and was able to track down the truth, and got it taken care of.

I needed to get a vehicle from one of our facilities at North Dakota back to St. Louis. I've used King of the Road before and I had good luck with them then, so I just used them again. The quote I was given was extremely fair based on what I found from other vendors. The gal I dealt with was very polite and very helpful. They said they found a truck that was picking it up right away and bringing it back quickly, so that was great. I was happy with that. Last time I had to do it, I had to wait for a truck that was going that route and it took a couple more days.

My experience with King of the Road was resoundingly positive. Cimarron, the driver's employer was excellent. We were relocating and King of the Road was responsive and competitive compared to other transport companies. Their quote wasn't the cheapest but it was closer to the cheapest. The saleswoman was very responsive and sharpened their pencil a little when push came to shove to seal the deal. If someone were to end up moving either for work or not, I recommend King of the Road.

But I don't think it's fair to pay the company lots of money and this money doesn't go to the driver. I feel this is not fair. Most of the money should go to the driver. And it's fine to have a commission but not 30 or 50 percent of what I had paid. It doesn't make sense.

They're also very efficient, which is one of the things I like about them ‘cause a lot of the other brokers are a total time waster. And we don’t usually talk in person. I know what to send them, so I just email them and they try to book it. If they don’t get it picked up, they’ll let me know that we need to raise the price, then they send me the contract. The only issue that I had was with the driver because he gave me a time that he was supposed to be there to pick up the car and he wasn't there. And then when he was on his way, he told me that he wasn't able to get to me, so I had to drive my car at least 20 minutes to get to him. I didn't understand why because I always see big trucks come the way where the pick up area was. Also, when he dropped off my car, the person that signed for me to get my car had to go meet him to get the car as well. We had to basically do the same thing as far as the pick up. But if I have to use a shipping company again, it definitely would be them.

I met him at an appropriate place, very close to my home in North Carolina. He was very sensitive to my location so I didn’t have to drive far to meet him. And the same was true for the place he chose for me to pick up the car here in California. I felt like that was very important that I didn’t have to drive 10 miles to meet him and that made me very happy. He was very cordial too and I really appreciated meeting him.
