Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1939, Ferrari is a top-performing Italian sports car line built on prestige. The brand has many models available for variety in the exclusive line and, for the most part, has decent reliability ratings. Though the body styles are designed with a signature look and the best materials, the vehicles’ fuel efficiency is lacking, with the average being between 12 to 23 highway MPG.

Ferrari warranty
Every new Ferrari vehicle comes with a 3-year unlimited-mileage warranty on top of a complimentary 7-year free maintenance program. There’s also the option to extend your new warranty to 15 years, which comes with coverage for more parts like the suspension, steering and electrical components.
If you don’t want to take advantage of this option, Ferrari also offers an extended warranty you can purchase within 30 days of your new warranty’s expiration.
Warranties of all types and lengths can be tricky in terms of what they cover, so we suggest reading each contract carefully so you’re aware of the full operation and what parts are covered.

If you’re considering going the pre-owned route, Ferrari offers a 12-month warranty on all CPO vehicles with the option to extend it to 24 months. The warranty includes coverage on “most parts” that fail due to workmanship or manufacturer defects.
Ferrari is upfront in the description of its CPO warranty, which states that parts such as the tires, brakes and other components (that you will need to check in the fine print) aren’t included in coverage. The CPO warranty is transferable.

Ferrari FAQ
What is Ferrari’s best-selling model?
The best-selling Ferrari model is the Ferrari F40, which is said to be the last model approved by Enzo Ferrari. The car was made with incredibly high performance and turbo-charged running gear to resemble the power of a race car.
Are Ferraris reliable?
Yes, Ferrari produces reliable models despite the expectation of high repair costs for the elite luxury vehicles. One of the most reliable models is the Ferrari 488, which has a reliable engine and drivetrain.
Are Ferraris expensive to maintain?
Yes, Ferraris are expensive to maintain. Basic service checks can run you between $1,000 to $2,000, while extensive checks can cost up to $7,000. The car parts are also expensive to replace since all models are made with the highest quality of materials.
Is an extended warranty worth it on a Ferrari?
Extending the warranty on your Ferrari can be a smart choice to protect yourself (and your wallet) from unexpected repairs, especially since the cost to replace parts of models can skyrocket compared to other brands.
