When I needed to send an SUV from Wisconsin to a friend in Texas, I did a search and found that AmeriFreight Auto Transport is the second or third rated vehicle movers. So I called them and got going from there. Their customer service representative helped me find the right option. We had good communication during the shipment and getting it delivered. However, it was a little more expensive than I had originally been quoted. But I needed to move it, so they got the job done.

I had a car transported from Florida to New York and chose AmeriFreight because the pricing was pretty good. However, it ended up costing more because they couldn’t get anybody to pick up the car at the original quoted price, so I had to pay a little more to get it done. They did get the job done at a competitive price. It was what everybody else was kind of quoting in the beginning, but again, the price wasn't what was originally discussed. There was a little glitch in the delivery, but they did work it out.

I had no problem scheduling the transport with AmeriFreight at all. The cost was a little expensive, but we were able to deal with it.

Setting up the transport with AmeriFreight from California to Wyoming across 1,400 miles was good. Communication with them was also good, and there were no issues with pickup and delivery. The final cost was a little more expensive than I expected. But it was a custom delivery as the car was inoperable, so that was what caused that.

Highly recommend AmeriFreight if you need to ship a car from cross-country or even within state. Excellent communication and excellent pick up and drop off times you can feel safe interest them with one of your biggest assets. I did extension research and found a more freight to be the most reliable and honest.

I had contacted a company out of California initially, who said the drivers that accepted the job couldn't do it, wanted money up front and changed the price – this is common practice because what the company offers is not necessarily what the driver wants to charge. A week had gone by and they messed up the date anyway, so I told them to forget it.

The pickup was fine but I didn’t like the drop-off part because the driver thought he didn’t fit in my subdivision. So I had to drive my car to go get it. But other than that, it was fine.

The customer service at AmeriFreight was okay. The lady that I spoke with was one of the main people that we dealt with and she was wonderful. But the third-party customer service you guys use was not very helpful at all. They could offer me no good information about what was going on. There was a delay with the vehicle and they were just reiterating what was on the paperwork and didn't try to provide any updates or offer to look into things. So I ended up just waiting until I could speak with our main contact directly with AmeriFreight itself.

At first, they came in at 1,800, and then they reduced it by 100. But then we found out the carrier didn’t have the correct equipment when they showed up. Another carrier had the same issue. The third one had too many vehicles on the truck, half the vehicle was hanging off the thing. When the fourth time came around, I was able to then say, “Yeah, let’s raise the price up.” I think it was another 300 bucks, and that worked.

It's the 3rd time I've used AmeriFreight, and it's been uniformly positive every time. On time, price as promised, no damage to the vehicles. Very clear, both orally and in writing. On the delivery, in all three cases that I've used them, the street for delivery was too narrow, so what they do is they have me meet them at a shopping mall a couple of miles away. It's just a minor inconvenience, but that's the breaks of the game. You can't fit an 18-wheeler on a typical residential street.

But there could be an improvement in the communication with the drivers who pick up the cars. For this move, I was told one thing about the payment method that was necessary. But it turned out that they didn't take that particular payment method.

He was driving a big 18-wheeler style car transport and couldn't get back into a neighborhood to drop the truck off, so he conferred with me, and then by extension, my wife met him at a truck stop. The pickup process was easy. We just met right at the mall near us. They came with a smaller truck to pick it up, then took it to where the big truck was and loaded it there. When they dropped it off, it was easy as well. The truck couldn't come into our place because it was too high, so he was already waiting for me with the car unloaded and ready to go. There was slight miscommunication on the fees and such as I only need to pay a small fee until the vehicle arrives and then pay the driver or I pay the driver everything and there's a larger fee. That wasn't clear enough. But overall, it was a great experience. AmeriFreight is a fantastic organization to have them ship vehicles.

AmeriFreight had a reasonable and competitive price. The drivers could have been a little bit more communicative. I would try to get in touch with them, and more often than not they didn't answer. I originally didn't feel like I needed a broker or pay for a broker, but at the end, it turned out to be invaluable because since I couldn't get in touch with the drivers, I was able to get in touch with the brokers very quickly, and they responded immediately.

I just bought a car in California for my son, and I needed to transport it to Kentucky. It looked like AmeriFreight had good reviews and seemed generally positive. So I just dived in. I found the transport organizer very comfortable. He’s easy to talk with and very responsive.

Victor was great, and Gina was fabulous. Pickup and delivery went perfectly. They brought it directly to us. I don’t really have anything to compare them to, but based on my experience, AmeriFreight did a great job.

I needed to transport a car from my Ohio home to my Florida home. I got online, read reviews, looked at pricing, and decided on AmeriFreight. Everything went really well. There was only one minor glitch. It wasn't a big deal. Every communication I got from the start of the process until the car pick-up was that the transport would take about four days, plus or minus. And so, I was in Ohio and I bought airline tickets based on my anticipated pick-up time and then the anticipated arrival time in Florida. So, when he picked up the car on Saturday morning, I told him I would be in Florida the next Monday. And he said he was driving down that day and he would be there Saturday night. And I said I can't be there to take care of the unloading of the car until Monday.

AmeriFreight was phenomenal. They were responsive. They called me back, followed up, and fully understood what needed to be moved. They found a shipper that met all my needs and followed up afterward to make sure everything was done and delivered properly.

I was moving from coast to coast and wanted to ship my car. I saw AmeriFreight online and got a quote. They were a little expensive compared to other companies, but their response made me go with them. There was a constraint for me with the date of pick-up and drop-off, and they were the only one who was able to do it. They were able to get me a carrier at the time they promised.

The service was great! They made sure to reach out regarding the offer made by the carrier within the week of delivery (which is what they promised), and the pick-up and delivery date was correct. The driver initially said 1:30/2 PM (Pick up in the state of Georgia), and was able to come by 2:45 PM for pick-up. For delivery date (to the city of Boston), the driver estimated the next day, at around 4 pm, and the driver was able to reach the destination by 6:10 PM. Each time, the driver was able to notify me updates of the ETA, which was very, very useful (this is on the driver, though, and not on AmeriFreight). The day before the pick-up date of the car, I had called the customer care team at AmeriFreight, worried, since I hadn't gotten a call from the carrier, and they were able to sort everything out for me promptly. The carrier reached out soon after I had called the care team, and I was able to coordinate everything with the driver then.

I would 10/10 recommend this company to anyone looking to ship a vehicle. Charity was really helpful, knowledgeable and provided complete transparency when telling me how the process works. The drivers communicated well and the shipment was prompt. Will definitely use them again if I ever need to ship a vehicle.

I scheduled the pickup some months in advance, but she kept in touch leading up to the transfer date to reassure me that she was handling my account and would find me a carrier. Updated on 02/02/2025: The company’s response is inaccurate and I need to address several issues. First, I was told AFTA was separate from Amerifreight only weeks ago. Stephen Coles was the only contact for my AFTA claim. He has an Amerifreight email address and signature. I was repeatedly told he was unavailable and would call back—he never did. Additionally, the AFTA portal’s contact number rings directly to Amerifreight, causing further confusion. Despite multiple attempts to get a resolution, I was told there was no one else to speak to.

I moved a vehicle about 1,200 miles, and I chose AmeriFreight based on research. And my experience with them has been great. Everything came out good. It was the way they said it was gonna be. The overall cost came out a little bit expensive, but you pay for good service. So, I got no complaints.

We had a car shipped from Davenport LA to KCMO. The transporter company was very communicative and answered questions. I was comforted that they always picked up the phone and were willing to give me honest answers. AmeriFreight also followed up after delivery to make sure everything went as planned. AmeriFreight had an pleasant and helpful person to help coordinate my transport, named Emily. It did take a week to find a trucker since my vehicle was being picked up in an isolated area, but Emily helped me to finally find one. My vehicle arrived in its same condition and the trucker even drove my vehicle to my exact address, rather than just dropping it off from the truck itself, which I appreciated. This was my first time utilizing this kind of service, and I am happy with it.

He just put it on the side street, and we got it loaded from there.

I’ve used AmeriFreight for multiple vehicles. They’re working well so far. Sometimes pricing is good. Sometime not. But at the moment, I’d say pricing is good overall. Overall, I’d rate them highly, 10 out of 5 stars.
