My brother gave me a car, and I arranged AmeriFreight to transport it from Tennessee to Nevada. The communication with the driver was good, and everything went fine until the drop-off. When the car was dropped off, I thought it would be by the complex, but it was left on the opposite side of the road. I had to walk across the main street with my two-year-old son to get there. The driver was waiting, and I told him I could probably get a ticket because I couldn’t make a U-turn and had to wait for all the traffic to go, but he assured me I wouldn’t.

Setting up the transport was smooth. John was my rep and he was great. He coordinated everything, and I didn't have to do a thing. The initial quote was $675, and I ended up paying $850. But the most important thing is they took care of the vehicle for me regardless of the price, so I was very satisfied with that.

I had a Jeep Cherokee and a Ford Fusion shipped through AmeriFreight. They delivered them later than expected. They kept trying to deliver past midnight, which isn’t allowed in this area, so we had to work with them to set a new time the next day.

My uncle gave me a 2003 Forester and I needed it moved from North Carolina to Western New York. AmeriFreight was the quickest in response and estimate. Shipping my vehicle with AmeriFreight was great overall. However, I had no communication with the delivery guy for three days after they said they were gonna drop it off. They could have done better communicating what day they're gonna drop it off. Still, the delivery was good. I got my car, and I can’t complain.

At first, I thought I had the money for the transport, but it went up, so I couldn’t do it. When I was finally able to get the car since I got a loan from a family member, I called Christine to let her know.

The driver had multiple deliveries, so it took a couple of days longer due to some weather issues, but he was great. I met him at a convenient truck stop and picked up the car there. The only challenge I had was the payment had to be given directly to the driver versus through AmeriFreight. I would’ve preferred it to be a single transaction. I call AmeriFreight, they schedule, the driver loads and unloads, and I pay through AmeriFreight. But I understand they're bidding it out to independent contractors. I have recommended AmeriFreight to a couple of people.

Setting up the transport with AmeriFreight from California to Wyoming across 1,400 miles was good. Communication with them was also good, and there were no issues with pickup and delivery. The final cost was a little more expensive than I expected. But it was a custom delivery as the car was inoperable, so that was what caused that.

Highly recommend AmeriFreight if you need to ship a car from cross-country or even within state. Excellent communication and excellent pick up and drop off times you can feel safe interest them with one of your biggest assets. I did extension research and found a more freight to be the most reliable and honest.

Because when I talked to the other people with quotes, they weren't very nice. I was hoping for a lower price but that didn't happen. I would have been upset if it was a lot higher than what everybody else quoted me, but it wasn't. I started out at $900 and I ended up paying around $1,200. It was a good quote.

But the third-party customer service you guys use was not very helpful at all. They could offer me no good information about what was going on. There was a delay with the vehicle and they were just reiterating what was on the paperwork and didn't try to provide any updates or offer to look into things. So I ended up just waiting until I could speak with our main contact directly with AmeriFreight itself.

I don’t even know if it was 24 hours. The cost was reasonable and a good price for safety and insurance. I still keep their number in my phone in case I use them again. It’s a safe service.

I had the vehicle in Colorado and driving it to Virginia was an iffy circumstance. We did a search online and AmeriFreight came up with very high ratings and standards, so we went with them. At first, they came in at 1,800, and then they reduced it by 100. But then we found out the carrier didn’t have the correct equipment when they showed up. Another carrier had the same issue. The third one had too many vehicles on the truck, half the vehicle was hanging off the thing. When the fourth time came around, I was able to then say, “Yeah, let’s raise the price up.” I think it was another 300 bucks, and that worked.

It's the 3rd time I've used AmeriFreight, and it's been uniformly positive every time. On time, price as promised, no damage to the vehicles. Very clear, both orally and in writing. On the delivery, in all three cases that I've used them, the street for delivery was too narrow, so what they do is they have me meet them at a shopping mall a couple of miles away. It's just a minor inconvenience, but that's the breaks of the game. You can't fit an 18-wheeler on a typical residential street.

But there could be an improvement in the communication with the drivers who pick up the cars. For this move, I was told one thing about the payment method that was necessary. When the driver picked up the car on a Saturday morning, I told him I would be in Florida on Monday. He said he was driving down that day and he would be there on Saturday night. I told him I couldn't be there to take care of the unloading of the car until Monday.

Each time, the driver was able to notify me updates of the ETA, which was very, very useful (this is on the driver, though, and not on AmeriFreight). The day before the pick-up date of the car, I had called the customer care team at AmeriFreight, worried, since I hadn't gotten a call from the carrier, and they were able to sort everything out for me promptly. The carrier reached out soon after I had called the care team, and I was able to coordinate everything with the driver then.

Updated on 02/02/2025: The company’s response is inaccurate and I need to address several issues. First, I was told AFTA was separate from Amerifreight only weeks ago. Stephen Coles was the only contact for my AFTA claim. He has an Amerifreight email address and signature. I was repeatedly told he was unavailable and would call back—he never did. Additionally, the AFTA portal’s contact number rings directly to Amerifreight, causing further confusion. Despite multiple attempts to get a resolution, I was told there was no one else to speak to.

My experience setting up the transport was excellent—all went as promised without any complaints. The journey covered about 1,200 miles, and communication with the driver was superb. He was a nice, easy-going individual who adhered to his delivery promises concerning days and hours. Although the service was slightly expensive, it was worth the cost for such quality. Overall, I am very satisfied and would give Amerifreight the highest rating possible.
