You can't have a vehicle in Pennsylvania registered into your name unless you live in the state. Down in Georgia, if your vehicle is 25 years and older, you can have a car without emissions. So, since I didn't have to do emissions on it anymore, I just had to pay the taxes on it yearly. The vehicle was picked up just outside Huntington Beach, California, and dropped off in Gainesville, Virginia. We had between three and a half and five days for the transport, but it ended up being four and a half days, which was fine. The driver didn’t speak English, and we didn’t have much conversation, but he was a good person. He helped me after we got the truck unloaded. He had to move some things around but he was pleasant. We found a good area to set the truck, and he moved a couple of cars and got my truck off. I gave him the cash and he went on his way. If you need to move a car across the country, AmeriFreight is the one to call.

The lady that I talked to at AmeriFreight was pretty good. She did a better job explaining stuff than other people. She was honest. I trusted her. AmeriFreight had a few things where they changed the timeline and they had somebody who was going to ship for me, and then they backed out and they had to reschedule it. The rescheduling didn't bother me because I wasn't in a big hurry. But it's just, are you going to trust they're not going to screw your car up? Do you trust that when they bring it, they'll give it to you and not try to upcharge you? Those are my two concerns. AmeriFreight did a good job on every level. So when they did give me the schedule, the guy showed up and took the cars and everything was fine. So I would use them again because I trust them now.

AmeriFreight picked up my wife's SUV on a Monday night, and I had it here in Florida on Friday. Thursday was New Year's Day, so there was a holiday there. My wife's SUV came in perfect. The price went up a bit, but that was because I had to tighten my pick-up window. The dates changed.

AmeriFreight's communication was great. I had them transport an SUV from New York to California. The customer service rep I dealt with was good. They gave me a couple of options and I chose the one with the best price for me. It wasn't too difficult. The SUV was like as I give it to them when it arrived. Overall, it was a smooth and easy experience. I would recommend the company.

They wanted to make sure I locked in a carrier before they took my deposit. A lot of these other companies didn't do that and they had a lot of hidden fees. We ship our car when we live short-term in another place, and this is my third time using AmeriFreight. When I reached out to the representative, she was quick to get back to me, and we had a nice conversation. The pick-up was January 14th, and they were scheduled to drop off on January 22nd. At the drop-off you have to be there for the walkthrough. My husband did it this time, but the past two times, it was fine. The first time, it was pouring rain, so the guy was really trying to do things quickly so that I wasn't standing in the rain. They do an inspection and take all the pictures of the car. We ask questions such as, "Are they the driver that's driving it, or are they gonna hand it off to someone?" Two of the three times, the guy said that he was doing the driving. We asked if we could communicate with them via text if we have any questions, and they said yes. They were all pleasant.

The pickup was in Michigan and drop-off was in Kentucky. The transport took three days. There was a little bit of confusion however. The person who picked up the car in Michigan said that the car wasn't gonna be delivered until Monday. However, I was communicating with someone via text message and they said it was gonna actually be delivered on Saturday, before the Monday. Other than that, the drop off was very quick and easy. AmeriFreight wasn't a good experience. The quote to final price was acurate and I got my car and it was safe, but it was an ordeal. I had to constantly call because no one called to confirm the day before. I called the AmeriFreight rep and the place that actually was transporting the car. They said the brakes on their truck was in the shop and they were supposed to pick it up in the morning. They didn't get here until almost night. I kept calling them to find out where were they until I got my truck.

We picked a plan and then made arrangements, and then they came out to install 13 panels. Their price was very reasonable. They did a roof inspection as well to make sure that I did not need any roofing repairs. Overall, the experience was very positive, and I have given out the rep’s name to some of my friends too. There has definitely been a difference in my bill.
