The vehicle was picked up just outside Huntington Beach, California, and dropped off in Gainesville, Virginia. We had between three and a half and five days for the transport, but it ended up being four and a half days, which was fine. The driver didn’t speak English, and we didn’t have much conversation, but he was a good person. He helped me after we got the truck unloaded. He had to move some things around but he was pleasant. We found a good area to set the truck, and he moved a couple of cars and got my truck off. I gave him the cash and he went on his way. If you need to move a car across the country, AmeriFreight is the one to call.

AmeriFreight had a few things where they changed the timeline and they had somebody who was going to ship for me, and then they backed out and they had to reschedule it. The rescheduling didn't bother me because I wasn't in a big hurry. But it's just, are you going to trust they're not going to screw your car up? Do you trust that when they bring it, they'll give it to you and not try to upcharge you? Those are my two concerns. AmeriFreight did a good job on every level. So when they did give me the schedule, the guy showed up and took the cars and everything was fine. So I would use them again because I trust them now.

Arrived is excellent condition. I spent WAY too much time researching tons of companies and other FAKE reviews. Cost was transparent and no surprises. The transport was supposed to take 7 to 10 days, and it ended up being way quicker. It took about four days. I was just at the drop-off. We went down and met the driver at the mall. He was willing to come closer, but I was like, "No, just stay there. It'll be easy for us to find you there." Overall, AmeriFreight was really easy to work with, and they got good communication. Setting up the transport with the rep, Michelle, was a lot easier than the other the people that I talked to. She told me the price would be locked in once they confirm a carrier, but before that, it was not. That's what I appreciated. They didn't want a deposit from me in the beginning. They wanted to make sure I locked in a carrier before they took my deposit. A lot of these other companies didn't do that and they had a lot of hidden fees. But AmeriFreight didn't have anything like that. Michelle was transparent about everything. She put me at ease.

I've used AmeriFreight at least three times and things went smoothly. The last time, they shipped my boat and that went from Reno to Post Falls, Idaho. It was scheduled to take a couple of days and the guys were on time. I was there for the pickup. I live at the end of a short cul-de-sac and we were waiting and waiting. Finally, the guy called and said, "We're around the corner." I didn't realize he had a 50-foot-long flat bed, but that wasn't a problem because I just hooked the boat to my trailer and rolled it around the corner. We loaded it that way.

It was a stressful time because we were relocating for eight weeks and at the same time we were having the inside of our house painted. We ship our car when we live short-term in another place, and this is my third time using AmeriFreight. When I reached out to the representative, she was quick to get back to me, and we had a nice conversation. The pick-up was January 14th, and they were scheduled to drop off on January 22nd. At the drop-off you have to be there for the walkthrough. My husband did it this time, but the past two times, it was fine. The first time, it was pouring rain, so the guy was really trying to do things quickly so that I wasn't standing in the rain. They do an inspection and take all the pictures of the car. We ask questions such as, "Are they the driver that's driving it, or are they gonna hand it off to someone?" Two of the three times, the guy said that he was doing the driving. We asked if we could communicate with them via text if we have any questions, and they said yes. They were all pleasant.

The pickup was in Michigan and drop-off was in Kentucky. The transport took three days. There was a little bit of confusion however. The person who picked up the car in Michigan said that the car wasn't gonna be delivered until Monday. However, I was communicating with someone via text message and they said it was gonna actually be delivered on Saturday, before the Monday. Other than that, the drop off was very quick and easy. They showed me pictures of what the car looked like when they picked it up. AmeriFreight is good and they try to get you the best price as far as connecting with different dispatchers.

I understand some things are out of their control, but there didn't seem to be much effort to help or even offer guidance. The lack of support during a stressful situation really stood out to me. I wouldn't use them again based on this experience.

AmeriFreight wasn't a good experience. The quote to final price was acurate and I got my car and it was safe, but it was an ordeal. I had to constantly call because no one called to confirm the day before. I called the AmeriFreight rep and the place that actually was transporting the car. They said the brakes on their truck was in the shop and they were supposed to pick it up in the morning. They didn't get here until almost night. I kept calling them to find out where were they until I got my truck.

We picked a plan and then made arrangements, and then they came out to install 13 panels. Their price was very reasonable. They did a roof inspection as well to make sure that I did not need any roofing repairs. Overall, the experience was very positive, and I have given out the rep’s name to some of my friends too. There has definitely been a difference in my bill.
