I started Googling online reputable, 5-star, A+ places and found AmeriFreight on a website, then I did everything by phone. I talked to a rep, Samantha, and I had the most confidence in her. The price was competitive too. Originally, I was going to have my parents' car picked up at my house on Lake Oregon, but when we finally got in touch with the truck driver, he was a little earlier than I was ready. So I offered to, "Hey, my work in Southfield might be a lot closer to the highway," which most truckers appreciate. I had the car picked up there and it worked out really well. The truck driver, Ariel, was great and he was a good guy.

The pick up was Clarkdale, Arizona and the drop-off was Tallahassee, Florida. Roger, the driver, wanted to come earlier, but I couldn't ‘cause I wasn't here yet. But he was respectful, nice and helpful. He texted me to make sure that I knew where he was about midway through the trip. He told me that he'd meet me on a specific date and asked for a close place by my house.

People can't always look for the cheapest apple in the basket because it's probably going to be bad. People have to have a certain amount of cost to make things profitable. I also read Amerifreight's reviews and liked them. I could not maneuver their website, so I did everything on the phone.

The guy also told us he had to put his arm to roll the window down so it was a little dirty on the arm rest.

It was a stressful time because we were relocating for eight weeks and at the same time we were having the inside of our house painted. We ship our car when we live short-term in another place, and this is my third time using AmeriFreight. When I reached out to the representative, she was quick to get back to me, and we had a nice conversation. The pick-up was January 14th, and they were scheduled to drop off on January 22nd. At the drop-off you have to be there for the walkthrough. My husband did it this time, but the past two times, it was fine. The first time, it was pouring rain, so the guy was really trying to do things quickly so that I wasn't standing in the rain. They do an inspection and take all the pictures of the car. We ask questions such as, "Are they the driver that's driving it, or are they gonna hand it off to someone?" Two of the three times, the guy said that he was doing the driving. We asked if we could communicate with them via text if we have any questions, and they said yes. They were all pleasant.

The pickup was in Michigan and drop-off was in Kentucky. The transport took three days. There was a little bit of confusion however. The person who picked up the car in Michigan said that the car wasn't gonna be delivered until Monday. However, I was communicating with someone via text message and they said it was gonna actually be delivered on Saturday, before the Monday. Other than that, the drop off was very quick and easy. They showed me pictures of what the car looked like when they picked it up. AmeriFreight is good and they try to get you the best price as far as connecting with different dispatchers.

But Amerifreight's rep listened and tried to accommodate, and it worked out perfectly. She was able to find somebody who said that they would do it. As it turned out, they didn't. But we were able to accommodate with a neighbor helping me out to get it picked up one day and delivered that same day. I was able to meet him there. Also, the quote was what I expected. It might have been in the end a little more than what other people told me. But Amerifreight did not get to the point of pricing what would take place that day. They just gave me a typical quote.

After an initial misquote, our agent was able to find last minute deal at the original misquoted price. I needed a car moved from Texas to Illinois in a timely fashion. One night, I applied with AmeriFreight and put the information in. I got a call the next day, along with the email and the text message. I then reached out to the number that was listed, set up a date, and signed the contract. The pick-up went smoothly. The address has a narrow driveway, but it leads up to a residential street where they were able to get that car out of the narrow driveway onto their truck. Then delivery was the same, but on a wider driveway. The driver provided good customer service. The original pick-up point was Houston to Illinois, and the transport time was fast. They picked up the car on a Friday, and it was being delivered on Monday. It arrived in good shape, too. The same way I had left it last.

I recently booked with your company to get my car shipped from California to Washington. I requested for it to be picked up on the weekend but was pressured by Samantha to have it be picked up this past Friday, as she had mentioned it was a great opportunity since there was availability on the truck and a “good deal”. I understand some things are out of their control, but there didn't seem to be much effort to help or even offer guidance. The lack of support during a stressful situation really stood out to me. I wouldn't use them again based on this experience.

It’s really easy to set up the transport. I want to specifically shoutout the guy I talked to, the broker. He was really, really communicative and good. AmeriFreight wasn't a good experience. The quote to final price was acurate and I got my car and it was safe, but it was an ordeal. I had to constantly call because no one called to confirm the day before. I called the AmeriFreight rep and the place that actually was transporting the car. They said the brakes on their truck was in the shop and they were supposed to pick it up in the morning. They didn't get here until almost night. I kept calling them to find out where were they until I got my truck.

It was higher. But based on my having spoken with a number of other transport companies, I know that the higher cost was in line with some of the other quotes I received. The business operates a service that has two components. One is AmeriFreight providing customer interface, the second is finding a transport company, which is a separate company, to actually do the vehicle transport. It was that second portion of the process where the price came in differently than was originally hoped for.

I used them to transport my vehicle from Oregon to Indiana, and I had a great experience. When my vehicle arrived, it was a bit dusty, but it was fine. They work hard to communicate between you and the shipper to minimize any information that could be lost between interactions. I needed to coordinate delivery date with the transportation company when they picked up my motorcycle as my travel time was longer than the transportation company's travel time.

AmeriFreight's communication could have been better. That was the biggest issue. The person didn’t show up at the address we had given. When we initially talked to customer service, we gave them the address where we wanted the pickup, but somehow they got our home address instead. Because our street is a small one-way street, we knew it would be a problem. We had picked a plaza where there would be more space. The pickup wasn’t amazing, but on the delivery end, the communication was decent and there weren’t too many issues. Throughout the process, customer service was fantastic.

AmeriFreight gave me the best price. That’s why I used them. And my experience with their representative was fine. Because my expectation was to have a broker negotiate with a trucking firm to get my car from California to Vermont, and some of the vendors have stopped doing that, and they just give you this high quote. So, I wanted somebody who can negotiate, and so I can tinker with the price somewhat.

I shipped multiple cars with AmeriFreight because I relocated about 2,000 miles. And I chose to use them because they seemed to be a good choice among the multiple bids I got. And AmeriFreight was polite and responsive. The pick-up and drop-off process was also smooth. AmeriFreight is a broker, and so you end up dealing with the individual transporter to coordinate those things, but that was just fine. The transporter was easy to deal with. During the drop-off, I met them at a place where they could maneuver their truck because they have a large transport unit that can’t fit in someone’s driveway. AmeriFreight’s quote was also fair. I think they charged a fair brokerage fee, and the transporter received the bulk of the amount.

I needed some type of coverage if the car just randomly breaks down, so I checked out CarShield. The signup process wasn’t difficult at all, and the lady helped me lot and gave me discounts to make it as cheap as possible. At some point I was struggling, and I couldn't afford to pay it, but another representative helped me lower the price even more. I haven't really had to use CarShield, and I don't like the fact that I must pay my deductible. But it's good knowing that I'm covered, so it’s fine.

The people that you pay to transport it aren't the drivers. They basically post something like a Craigslist for drivers. So AmeriFreight said, “We'll post the job. We'll tell you how much the best bid comes in for,” versus saying it's going to be this much, and then tacking on fees added like the other people do.

I had to meet them just across the street, a quarter mile, to pick up the cars. But they were able to bring it directly to me there. We were very happy with the AmeriFreight side. I watched them drive through trees with other people's cars getting scratched up, and when our cars arrived, you could tell that similar things happened. I have had contact with your representative Liz ** several times. She is always pleasant and patient with professional attitudes. I felt I had confidence in her when I deal with her. The pick carrier driver also very professional. He took pictures very carefully and in detail from every corner and angles. The charge of freight is very fair. The delivery was fast and efficient. The car was delivered in good condition without any damage. Even the contents inside of the car also were not broken.

Scheduled a transport of a truck I bought out of state. Unfortunately the delivery vehicle itself needed a repair, so this delayed the delivery by a day. Throughout the process Michelle my agent was friendly and diligent. She followed up immediately to assist the transport. Received my truck without issue. The driver was nice and friendly. My only critique was that I did not receive notification when the truck was picked up or an ETA of arrival once the vehicle was picked up. At the end of the day a delay of one day is no big deal. Everyone was friendly, professional, and I received my truck without issue - so I'd say it was a success.

My experience was good, they were very helpful with the process and although my transport was not tracked the driver was very communicative with me about when he would be delivering. It gave me peace of mind to know my delivery would be delivered on time.
