My in-laws were moving cross country and needed to ship their vehicle, so we went with AmeriFreight because I received a fairly decent quote from them. The transport organizer, Graham, got in touch with me fairly quickly. He told us that he was working with a number of shipping companies and had put out the quoted price to them and get back to me if someone accepted. The final price was fairly off the quote. They reeled me in and ended up about $300 or $400 more. Then the transport ended up being almost 19 days. The actual carrier itself was okay. We could get a hold of them, but the delivery date kept changing. It was unorganized about when the delivery was gonna happen. But it ended up being adequate since most of my issue was with the shipper company and not with AmeriFreight as the broker.

The AmeriFreight organizer was helpful in getting us through the process. The carrier called me ahead of time and told me exactly where to meet him. He showed up on the day that we agreed upon, on time. My car could have been delivered to California earlier, but it was gonna get there before I was so they held it a couple of days for me. The only thing I disliked is that the quote they give you is just a number they use to grab the business. The price we paid was a few hundred dollars more than the actual quote! It was, nevertheless, a smooth process for getting my car cross country.

I was giving my car as a gift for my sister, so I was shipping it and AmeriFreight was the first one that came up when I searched. I got their quote the soonest and it was the cheapest one. The transport organizer was prompt and everything was done as he said it would be. The carrier driver was quick. He got the car and was ready to go. It was delivered a day early, that was great and I had no issues with them.

I was a shipping a vehicle from New Jersey to Texas. I went with AmeriFreight primarily because of ConsumerAffairs and other ratings. I used their free quote option was very helpful, but I thought it was additionally beneficial to call and speak with one of the representatives. The transport organizer walked me through the different options and helped me identify the one that met the needs that we had and was very good about getting a quote and getting it signed out to a transporter. The carrier driver also gave me advance notice and arrived within the expected time frame and was very courteous. The process from beginning to end was quick.
The level of information that AmeriFreight provided upfront was very helpful too. It's important to have a realistic expectation and they were very good at that, based on the interactions that I had with them, the contents on their website and the explanation of how vehicle shipping works. I've worked with other carriers in the past that tended to gloss over some of that stuff to get a sale then I was surprised later on and they cost more than I expected or took longer. On the other hand, I had a very positive experience with AmeriFreight. They have a great communication, were on time and their price was on a budget.

Our daughter is in college and we chose to transport the car with AmeriFreight because of the price. The free quote they gave was fair and the transport rep was great and responsive. The carrier driver picked up the car early and delivered it early so everything went well. He was great, showed up exactly when he said he was going to, was very communicative with the folks on the other end, and was really good. The process took 6 days. We’ll use them again and in fact, I'll call them later as I’ve got a second daughter in college and it looks like she needs a car as well.

I was moving across country and AmeriFreight initially offered me one of the lower estimates and they were highly rated on a number of review sites I had read, so I hired them. But the quote that they gave me was horribly under what it ended up being and I was a little disappointed in it. The transport organizer was very helpful. He would call and e-mail me with any updates and would always get back to me within 24 hours of me trying to reach out to him. The transport carrier was a lovely man who was able to help us load and unload the car and was very honest about the estimated date of delivery. He was very accommodating. All in all, they gave excellent service but very disappointed in the estimate.

We needed to transfer a car that my brother was keeping for me to our new location in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. AmeriFreight was available, so it worked. The transport organizer was very helpful and kept me informed all the time. She called me several times during the process to make sure I have been contacted and in contact with the driver. She did a very good job. I had not heard from the carrier driver previously so I called him around the day it was supposed to be delivered and he told me when he would be able to come. We were able to meet up and it worked out just fine. The entire process took exactly a week. They had to work around some of my timing restrictions so they had to not deliver it over the weekend and they were able to accommodate that. Everything went very smoothly and efficiently.

I used AmeriFreight last 2014 and recently when my daughter moved. The first time I had to go up with the quotation. But the second time I used them, it was pretty much an agreeable amount. It was really short notice and their company acted on it really fast and was able to find a driver. And the car, I felt was gonna be lingering on, because that’s what happened the first time. But it was a different time - it's more summer time whereas before it was closer to winter. I was totally shocked because the second time around the vehicle got to the destination really fast. Their rep also did a very good job. He kept me up on what was going on and he gave me calls back.

I tried to ship with another shipper but they were not staying in touch, not completing the work so I bailed out of that and paid the fee to do so. Then, I got involved with AmeriFreight and they did a great job. Everybody stayed in touch and I didn't have any issues. I called the number I was provided and they got a hold of the company that was going to pick up the vehicle. The process took seven days and was better than expected. I would use them again if I was moving a vehicle.

My son had a car in California and it was really too much of a drive to move it back home to Boston, so we went with shipping. I went through numerous websites, and it seemed the most responsive reviews were AmeriFreight’s. Their quote was very reasonable. We weren’t really shopping for the lowest price. I just wanted a reliable shipper. I had several phone calls and emails with Allie and she was terrific. She was very responsive both on emails and on the routine phone calls. She called me a couple of times to see how things were going. And she was very professional and knowledgeable. In addition, the driver was very nice. He gave us a call and showed up at the appropriate location about two miles from our house and right on time. He got the car off safely and we were on our way. I’ve never done this before and I made the right decision choosing AmeriFreight. I was very pleased with the entire experience.

I needed to move my wife’s car from Texas to North Carolina. All the other transport companies seemed a little bit shady and AmeriFreight had all good reviews so I went with them. Their initial quote was low and reasonable but I was expecting it to increase because the area where we live is not on any major highways. The transport organizer was very professional and helpful, and never seemed rushed or like she didn’t have attention or time for us. And the driver's English wasn't all that good but he was polite and the limited conversations that I had with him were very good. Overall, my experience has been surprisingly positive and easy.

I'm from California but I go to school in the East Coast so I needed to ship my car. AmeriFreight was in the top three on ConsumerAffairs and offered me the best price out of the top three that I reached out to so I went with them. They gave me a quote that was a little under market, which for me felt great. Then they listed my car under market as well, which means they were taking a bigger cut than I assumed. In the end, it took a longer time to ship my car than I would've liked. I wished they were more straightforward about this and that the market wasn't set up in this way. I feel that AmeriFreight just made money off of being able to post on a website when we all have very equal opportunities to do so. I just hate the broker model in general for a lot of things so that's probably more of my bias than anything else.
The transport organizer was really nice at first and then as things got along, and after my car got shipped, there was no correspondence whatsoever. She did not care which is very common in this field. Furthermore, they had this plan that had some weird things on their website and contract and one of them is that they can add $300 to the quoted price. They said it's just to get it moving along because the price is based on the what the shipper says, not what the broker says. It's probably just a small thing but I made very sure not to check that box because I definitely don't want to pay more than I'm quoted and she told me I had. She thinks she can outsmart me but I have a good understanding of what's going on here. This was a little annoying but it doesn't sound like there's a lot of good options out there.
There were two drivers for the actual truck and the person I corresponded with was not on it at all. My father corresponded with the actual driver and said he was polite and courteous which I get to confirm when he came here. It was just the guy in charge of the scheduling who was a little weird. He said Tuesday and I said, "That sounds great." And then Tuesday became Wednesday, which I was fine with. Then Wednesday became Thursday, which started making me a little nervous because I had booked a trip on Friday. I ended up having to cancel that trip because the car arrived Friday night. I just wished he was honest with me so I could reschedule my trip earlier. Overall, this is a very tricky field and it's just a bunch of bureaucratic **. If one has to do it, then do it. But if not, avoid it at all costs. We must be more or less diligent about what we're getting into.

I made a cross-country move and got AmeriFreight to ship my car since they were advertised on the Edmunds website. I had researched a couple of transport companies, and AmeriFreight's quote was very good. The carrier driver seemed like he had a lot of experience. He took his time, for at least half an hour if not a little bit longer, to check out the car and noting any type of flaws. I actually was impressed with him. The driver communicated well with my wife for the delivery. I'd definitely use AmeriFreight again and we probably will as I've got two more cars to transport in the next two months.

I'm really happy with AmeriFreight. We bought a car in Florida for my 96-year-old father, and we had it shipped. Everybody at AmeriFreight was great. The driver did a good job. I told him where to park the car, and he found it easily. They loaded the car on a Tuesday and it got there on Thursday. We were the last one on and the first one off, so it was easy. The only thing is that the driver's hands were greasy. I don't want to complain because he was really great, but it would've been nice if he wore gloves. There was black greasy stuff everywhere and the car had to get washed. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Our experience has been smooth and easy.

I swapped cars with my sister-in-law so I sent her a car from here and she did the same for her car to where I am. AmeriFreight had the good balance between the right price and better reviews. We acted on the quote they gave me, which was on par with industry standards, then they gave me a small discount for acting within a certain amount of time. Their transport organizers were very prompt and courteous, and they had the truck to pick up my car within three hours of calling. The carrier driver was also very courteous, prompt, gave plenty of notice, and was easy to talk to. It was shipped on Monday and it arrived there Thursday night, which was quick.

But then, with what she's doing, it just made me feel comfortable about it. I was very satisfied with their service. They estimated it will arrive two days later but it was delivered earlier. I had two vehicles to ship for a relocation from the south to New England. The quote given by AmeriFreight was vague and it came down to what the actual drivers were going to charge. The initial quote that he estimated was significantly lower than what we ultimately ended up paying, which got my hopes up, but the reality is it's fairly consistent with what I was hearing from anybody else I spoke to. They would also have a carrier for me, and then called five minutes later that the carrier no longer wanted to do it. That happened about four times. But once we settled on a guy, generally he was fine. The driver was not a great communicator but took my calls. The delivery was a few days later than expected but everything arrived in one piece, so overall the experience was more positive than negative.

AmeriFreight was used by my daughter before and she had a very positive experience. My experience with them was wonderful too and I've used them twice already. Their quote was reasonable. Our transport organizer laid out the cost and she was very honest. She even gave me a discount since I'm a repeat customer and found a good rate for me. I gave myself a heads up two months ahead of time before I'm planning to move my car. And then she initiated the call and gave me an approximate date and we went from there. Their carrier driver was very nice and very helpful. He inspected the car so well. He took his time to take pictures and check all the dents, and describe this on the car.

We were shipping a car to our son in the military. So when I found the reviews about AmeriFreight on the website were good, I took the chance. The quote they've given was very good and competitive with what I've seen from other areas. One thing that got my attention the most was the person I was working with. She did not only give me a number but she picked up the phone. She called, explained and walked with me through the entire process which was important to me. And it's one of those rare times when it happened exactly the way she said it would. She took care of everything.
The carrier guys were also fantastic. We had them a couple of little bumps on the road on my side, where we had to change things and they accommodated everything I needed. They transported it and got it within the time frame that they said they would. They ran into a flat tire so they were a little bit late in delivering it. The whole process, including the first time I contacted AmeriFreight to get the information, took about three weeks. But most of them was on my side, not theirs because I had arranged it to make sure my son was available with their time, so I took a little coordination on my end. Overall, I was pleased with them from top to bottom and I'll highly recommend them. In fact, when my son moves from this state to the next, I'll be using them again.

The rep Allison went way above what I expected from a shipping company. I had some issues with the pick-up location and some other things that are non-standard and she was super understanding in helping me get my vehicle. I spent an entire month searching for a company that I could trust and I was constantly finding companies that I thought were scams. I had a wonderful experience with AmeriFreight. I did a relocation and I used them to ship my car. The quote they gave me was comparable to others. From the time they picked up the car until when they dropped it off, I have no complaints. I especially appreciated the representative Rick who was very informative and helpful. He was in fact the reason I went with AmeriFreight. Rick made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. It's a very tough process giving your car to somebody that you don't know to take all the way across the country. But AmeriFreight was very thorough and professional. During delivery, they allowed me to take my time and look the car over to make sure everything was intact.
The whole process took some time but it was on my end since I'm the type that don't always just go with the first company. I took the time to really research and do my due diligence. I've talked to several companies. In fact, one of my friend that just moved in the area that I was moving in gave me the company that he used. I didn't feel comfortable with them though. But this wasn't the case with AmeriFreight, again due to Ricky. I was pleased with my experience with this company. I bought a vehicle from California and I had to have it shipped to my house in Georgia. AmeriFreight's initial quote was one of the cheaper ones, but it also had good reviews. I couldn't see if I could find a better rate, so I was getting around for days and days. Five business days is a long time when you're just sitting around and waiting for someone to call you and tell you your stuff is being moved and not getting any updates. I called them a couple of times and they didn't return my phone call. I was starting to get worried about whether or not we're gonna get moved. And then, when the rep finally called me, the quote was almost $400 more and I had to negotiate it way down.
In general, shipping a vehicle is horrible. Unfortunately, AmeriFreight is just a middleman, so they steal a lot of the profit from the truck drivers. And you're talking about $340 of profit that the truck driver didn't get. I feel like all the rep did was answer the phone and they made $340. The truck driver had to drive from California to Georgia and he made maybe the same amount of money. So it's expensive for what you get, but, unfortunately, it's very difficult to do it without a broker.

I was shipping a vehicle from Maryland down to my son who's at Fort Worth, Texas. I did some research on transport providers. I did that online thing then I got inundated with information from about 15 different companies all offering prices. The prices were somewhat in the ballpark of each other. Once I started getting all these offers, I started to look up some reviews on the companies. AmeriFreight seemed to have pretty good reviews so I chose them. When I was looking at the reviews, I read that usually the actual final cost once they have secured a driver is usually a little bit higher than the estimates. It turned out to be the case for this one - my original estimate was $790 but then the final price turned out to be $1,005.
Nevertheless the transport organizer, Rick was professional and courteous. He was easy to contact too. If I called and got his voicemail, he would get back to me the same day. From when I initially contacted AmeriFreight, it took them seven working days to find a carrier to do the job. They got Bright Star Transport. The process was easy. They came out right on time the next day to pick up the vehicle with a smaller, one-car truck. I think it took half an hour away to the point where they put the vehicle on the big truck. The carrier got the vehicle from Maryland to Texas in five days, which was pretty good considering it was a 2,000-mile distance.
I was overall satisfied with my experience with AmeriFreight and I'd recommend it. The only thing that I didn't quite understand in the process was that they quote the full price estimate but once they find a truck driver to transport it and I agreed to it, I paid a deposit to them then pay the balance to the driver. What I didn't really quite understand was the deposit was strictly for the broker's fee. I was thinking part of that was gonna go to the driver as well. That was the only thing that didn't quite get communicated. One of the companies that gave me an estimate had a $200 brokerage fee but AmeriFreight's was $290. But anyway, they gave me an additional discount, which brought the brokerage fee down to $255 and the truck driver got $750, making for a grand total of $1,000.

My representative from AmeriFreight was extremely helpful in explaining the bidding process and how brokers bid with the truck drivers. It was really nice to understand a little bit more about the industry and provide some transparency.
The truck driver picked up my vehicle on the first available pick up date and it arrived within seven days without damage. I wish I could have got a cheaper brokerage fee though. My girlfriend did the same move with another trucking company who had a cheaper brokerage fee. I was moving so I needed to ship my vehicle. I chose to go with AmeriFreight based on online reviews. I had an issue with their free quote option however because they gave me a low price quote but the actual amount I had to pay was too much - almost a $400 difference. I was pretty upset with that and the representative said that she had no other options. She said that they hardly take that route so they couldn't get the price any cheaper. If that was the case then they should have given me a higher price for the estimate, then I could have made a different decision. They did contact me about the price difference though and asked if I would agree to take the carrier they found. But I felt like it's not the right thing that they gave me a price which was really too low to attract a customer but eventually the price is like what one can find in any other transport service company.
This was the very first time I shipped my vehicle, so I didn't understand the process. Thus I used to call their representative once in a while but I usually get a voicemail back. At the end of the day, I think she used to just leave a voicemail that says they need more time. She said they needed at least seven days to find a carrier because it takes a while. However, it took her more than 21 days to actually find someone. I've had to call and send her some hard email to remind her what is going on. The representative was really responsive so I was really upset that I had to go to a lag. I had to use another transport for more than 20 days.
I was really frustrated since after 20 days, she gave me the same quote and same transport person which I said no to before because it was highly priced. But then I eventually reached the point where I don't care anymore so I just went with that person because I wanted the vehicle to be delivered. Hence I agreed to the carrier already.
After this, the experience was perfect. I was happy with the transport team. They were very nice, fun, and responsible. They gave me an estimate as to when the driver was coming for the pick up and they came when they said they would. It was from coast to coast transport, so it took about a week or less. They got the car right on time since they told me that it was going to take five or six days to transport. I wasn't really happy with the company overall though. The transport guys they got were really good but AmeriFreight's service itself wasn't that great.

I was relocating to a new city and AmeriFreight had the best reviews, and was able to deliver in the quickest timeframe. The price they quoted me was also a lot cheaper than the other places I called. Their rep called to inform me when my car was going to be picked up, and days before it was going to be delivered. Then my flight got delayed. AmeriFreight stayed in contact with me and they were able to deliver it later to me. They worked with my schedule really well. The carrier driver came by and met me on the day of delivery. He looked over my car and dropped me off at my house. He met me in Connecticut where my car will be dropped off at. He was really nice and I didn’t have any problems at all. My car was delivered way faster than expected. It was great and I would probably ship with AmeriFreight again. It was a quick, fast and convenient.

I had PCS orders for the army, so we're moving and also needed to move the car. We looked for one company but eventually got AmeriFreight. They made a really good deal and their rep answered all my questions and did everything that he could to help me. He found the best price for me, called and gave me status and called the driver. He even gave me his personal number in case I have any questions. The process took only for a week and the vehicle arrived in the same condition that I left it. I would definitely recommend the company for anybody else who need it.

I bought a vehicle in Boise, Idaho and needed it shipped because I live in Northern Virginia. I Googled and looked at the top-rated shipping companies, and AmeriFreight came up as one of them. They gave me a recommendation of what the quote and the average retail rates would be. They worked with me and helped me figure out what bid I would like to put out there on the wire to see if we could get it because I wasn’t in any rush. We let it sit there for about three weeks, we raised the price once, and we finally got somebody to take it so I was pleased. It took a little while because we put a fairly low bid request but it was good.
The delivery guys were also good and talked to me regularly. They had a couple of delays along the way and I was kept involved. When I met them when they showed up here, they were very professional. If I have to ship a vehicle again, I would very much use AmeriFreight. Easy, pain-free, and I'm very satisfied.

I bought a new vehicle and needed it shipped. AmeriFreight quoted a lot cheaper rate, then all of a sudden, they couldn't provide that. And it took weeks for them to ship the car and ended up shipping it for $300 more. I was lied to. When we first talked with Alicia, the transport organizer, she said that they took a deposit of $195. Then when they finally got somebody to pick up the car, she wanted $325. Considering, after three weeks, they couldn't find anybody to ship it, I'm surprised she raised her rate versus keeping it the same or lowering the rate to match the quote. She never called me and I had to keep calling her. She was easy to get a hold of and kept saying she'd get a hold of me once she does that or the other. When I'd have to call to find out stuff, she acted like it was the first time I talked to her. It was frustrating but the carrier driver on the day of delivery was good. The process from beginning to end took almost a month.

I was moving in the military and had a car that I needed to get out to Tucson but they would not ship it. I looked at the reviews and Amerifreight's reputation and accreditation on Better Business Bureau made me go for them. Their transport organizer called me right away and was helpful and informative. It was still a month before I move. I hadn't heard anything for weeks, called them up and was told that they don’t book until one to two weeks prior to the actual available date. However, they didn’t have a carrier available until a couple of days after the available date, which was okay.
There was a last minute carrier who could do the transport. I said I can't have it picked up if it'll be four hours from the time they called me, but I could do it the next day. The organizer convinced the carrier to wait so that was awesome. He worked that all out for me to accommodate my schedule. I wasn’t there when it was picked up and it was my brother-in-law who had the car put on the truck. I talked to the driver when he was on the road and I didn’t expect three days or so to get the car out here. It was fast from Georgia to Arizona. He said to meet him instead because he can't come in to our neighborhood due to restrictions and I appreciated his professionalism in following the laws.

I paid AmeriFreight for the service and they did exactly as I have expected.I Googled a few websites and AmeriFreight was the one who communicated with me the most. The carrier driver was super nice (I gave him an extra $20 with how nice he was). When he dropped the vehicle off, he said that there was an issue with the exhaust getting caught on the truck. We had to redo it anyway, so it was okay.
The shipment worked out well. The whole process took three weeks from beginning to end and then they had my car for about a little over a week. However, I ended up paying a couple of extra hundred dollars because they could only do it within a three-day window pickup instead of the normal five. That was fine except they called the day before I was leaving to go out there without knowing if my car was being picked up or not and asked if I could get it picked up on the Tuesday, which was the day I was leaving. That was a little stressful but they still handled it. They ended up calling me while I was on the plane, left a message, and said that the guy would be there when I got there. They fixed it, handled it, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I am very satisfied with them.

However, when it got here, my top was off of it and my window was blown out, so I talked to the guy at AmeriFreight about it but nothing happened. It still sits here with no top and the window blown out. I didn’t have all the information such as who do I go through and who actually dispatched it if the vehicle arrived and something’s wrong with it. So by the time that I got in touch with them on all these, it was too late.
I found them on the internet and they had really great reviews. They tried to work with me on the price but it ended up higher than what I got quoted. Their transport organizer did everything he told me. He told me that I should've called them as soon as it arrived and there was something wrong with it. But I didn’t know that. It's a “lesson learned” type of thing. Now I know if I ship something again, as soon as it arrives here, I'd call my shipper and tell them that something was wrong with it. There were no real major conflicts or confusion and the experience with the rep was pretty straightforward. The carrier drivers were also both very easy and awesome. The transport organizer, Graham, assured me everything was going to be fine and walked me through the steps of how it was all going to work out. It was comforting. He quoted me under but explained that it's more likely that I'll be paying higher. Initially there was a shipping company that wanted to take my car but the price was a little too high. Then Graham found me another trucking company for about $150 less in right about a week. He definitely saved me a little bit of money.
The carrier driver then showed up at a JC Penney parking lot like we arranged, took my car off, I gave him the money, I took one signature, one look over my car and that was it. We were told that because we didn't report the damage within 48 hours, we have to use our own insurance. But it was impossible for us to do that because we were in the State of Washington and our cars were in North Carolina. We're going to be out $100 for the deductible for our insurance getting our car fixed.
Also, about a week and a half after we got back in North Carolina, we got a ticket in the mail from Tennessee with a picture of our car being driven and running a red light. It turned out it was the driver that had taken our car. As far as I’m concerned, that’s stealing a car because he only had a right to pull the car off and pull it back onto his rig. Not to take it for a cruise down the road. The guy did make it good as far as the ticket. We definitely would not use AmeriFreight again. They’d have to have people that are much better. LET ME CLARIFY, THE RATING IS one STAR... LECIA WAS STUBBORN, HARD TO SPEAK WITH (TOO MUCH JARGON), HID BEHIND THE APPARENT typo on the phone # and blamed AOL (one of the oldest, and over the history of email communication, the most popular email servers in history) as being the obstacle to communicating via email.

When I called in to finalize my reservation, the rep said that whoever was assigned to me would call me that next Monday. But that never happened and I had to call on Tuesday. I wished the organizer would have reached out to me sooner than he did. But they delivered the car two days early which was a pleasant surprise and the carrier driver was good. I went online and I saw AmeriFreight and I read the reviews. I really liked the reviews. So I went ahead and called and made the appointment. Everything was quick, within 24 hours I was assigned a driver. Pick up was great. He was really friendly. He couldn't get the truck here in the subdivision because it was too big. Pros - Fairly responsive rep, decent price. Cons - Felt high-balled (after balking at first 2 very high offers, was called back with a lower offer within 5 minutes). Process was not clear regarding when payment would be made. Car was delivered outside (past) estimated window.

I had purchased a vehicle out of state and needed it shipped to the state that I currently live in. AmeriFreight had really good reviews and I got a good quote from them that seemed comparable. I thought it was an appropriate quote. It seemed like they would really be there to help us, the customer, out. After receiving the quote, in thirty minutes, I called back and had it set up. It went really well with the guy I talked to. I talked to the same person the two times I called so it was easy. But the carrier driver was more of an issue. He tried to make me take a trailer and go pick it up. I didn't have a license or insurance for the vehicle at the time, and then he told me he couldn't deliver it in the residential area. I had to go meet him at a parking lot and he didn't get there until midnight. Other than that, there weren't any real issues. It was a really good experience.

After having read reviews on other transportation brokers, I decided to go with AmeriFreight because of the A+ rating with the BBB. The possibilities of things that could go wrong with transporting a vehicle cross country are many. Through some study, I found that just like anything else, you get what you pay for. This company is head and shoulders above anyone else out there. It was almost too easy. Allison handled all of my issues quickly and gracefully. I was more thank a little worried about the whole thing and she made things very easy for me. I would never consider another broker for any move of any kind.

But I had a hard time with the driver because he just changed the schedule on us without approving it by me and expected me to give him an extra $500 or $1000 for that.

I was relocating and had to ship my vehicle, and I liked AmeriFreight's responsiveness over the other companies so I contacted them and they gave me a free quote over the phone first and then they emailed me the quote. There were some complications on some specific situations around what we needed from the carrier but they got the job done. Pick-up to delivery only took about four or five days and the whole process took around 10 days. The big thing for me is they actually see the timeline they estimated, and got it there more quickly than we had anticipated which was a great experience for me. It was more than I expected although it was on very short notice so I'm very satisfied.

Was trying to ship a car from California to upper state NY around Christmas and New Year. The timing made it difficult for everyone. Jeff was broker and he was helpful in general. There was poor communication, however, that I really have to push him to do that job. Phone call is the most efficient way. He never replies emails. Initial price was okay, but then we had to raise $200 to attract truckers, which I expected. Total price was $1275. ATA Transporters was a good trucking company. Friendly driver and fast delivery (1 day earlier than expected, which can be good or bad) and there was no damage to the car.

Due to my job change, I had to relocate from Burlington MA to San Jose CA. Moving vehicle from MA to CA was a big challenge so did lots of searching on internet for car transportation companies. And then I came across AmeriFreight based on the excellent reviews that it had acquired. And now I say, it deserves 5-star ratings. I filled up my requirement on their website and got an excellent quote within 24 hrs. And from there on it was just smooth sailing. Vehicle got picked up from Burlington MA on 1/26/2015 afternoon within the 1-5 days of given window and was delivered to me in San Jose, CA on 2/4/2015 morning. I gave them the extra couple of days of delay due to the blizzard in MA starting 1/26 afternoon.
Graham from AmeriFreight handled my request very efficiently. He was very cooperative and provided me with all the options that I had for smooth and safe vehicle transportation. I had to pay $300 extra to make sure my vehicle pick up happens within 1-5 days (and it does hurt of course to shell out more) as compared to 1-15 days of window that comes with the base package but now when I have my vehicle with me in CA without a scratch on it, it seems worth it. And yes, that $300 that I paid here, was of course saved my bucks in Car Rentals for extra days as I received my vehicle on time.
Lastly I do want to thank the carrier Aimee Trucking Corp and the driver. They responded my calls each time to track my vehicle. Unfortunate I forgot the name of the Driver but he was an excellent person and human being. He did not ask for a single penny more and accepted the change of delivery address without any complaint and answered my call each time and asked me not to smoke. :)

AmeriFreight has competitive quote and are courteous and easy to work with. We needed to ship our vehicle from Seattle to Atlanta and we wanted to make sure that it was on a trailer. We called AmeriFreight and I thought the quote they gave me was very fair and competitive compared to a couple of other quotes. The transport organizer, Jordan, called a day ahead of time. The first call was to verify all the details and then he called again to order and arrange when the driver could possibly come and pick up the car. We interacted through phone only because I was at work.
He was very nice although a little frustrated because our house was up a hill and it was not accessible with his large trailer, which we did not realize that he would have such a large trailer. However, I talked to him and explained that from where he was, we were just a couple of blocks and that we would figure out how to get the car to him. Once he realized that he wouldn't have to go to any trouble trying to get his trailer up the road, everything worked out fine.

In the "wild wild west" of the auto transport world where shipping quotes are a dime a dozen and as I found out, actually not worth much more than that (at least in my particular case), it was refreshing as a first timer to work with someone like Ali ** at AmeriFreight who patiently and professionally answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns in an honest and open fashion, so that I was able to understand the roles and responsibilities of the broker and the transport company, and the interactions between them.
Thus, when it became clear that there were no shippers who were likely going to bid on my quoted price in the time frame I desired, Ali was at least able to find a shipper "going in my direction". Although the price was quite a bit more than that initially quoted, understanding the process, I was at least able to make a good decision to proceed. Once past the major hurdle of finding a shipper and a price and a pickup date that was workable for both the shipper and myself, the actual transporting of the auto by the shipping company went very smoothly.
The auto transport company selected by AmeriFreight (NAO Auto out of Spokane, WA) did a very professional, careful and reliable job, and Ali was very proactive in checking both after pickup and after delivery to make sure everything was satisfactory. Next time I won't need quite so much "hand holding", but this first time around it was very reassuring to be working with someone who patiently and professionally explained the "auto transport ropes" to me.

I contacted several auto transport companies and finally I chose AmeriFreight Car Shipping. I am very glad that I did. One of the major reasons that I did not choose another leading auto transport company is that they will charge 3% processing fee for any card transactions for the deposit. It is not abnormal to charge processing fees, but it is only mentioned once in the long terms and conditions. If you don't read it through, you will be surprised by the charge since their staff wont tell you in advance. AmeriFreight Car Shipping is different. They do not charge processing fees and they are very honest.
The AmeriFreight Car Shipping staff, Ali, is very professional. She responded to my questions very quickly and she called me several times to make sure everything goes well. She explained the whole process very clearly so that I did not have any concerns. The carrier is very professional as well. The driver showed up on time (actually about half hour earlier). He was very polite and inspected the car very quickly but thoroughly. Overall, it is a pleasant experience. I am planning to ship my second car with them soon.
