I’m in the navy and I got stationed across the country so I needed my vehicle shipped, and a friend told me to go look at AmeriFreight. I got a free quote from them and it worked for me. The organizer was helpful, easily answered my questions and gave me the information I needed. Also, the driver was good. The process took a week which was earlier than expected. AmeriFreight did well overall and I’d recommend them to a friend.

My son was relocating to go to college in Seattle and we had his car shipped out so we do not have to worry about him driving across the country by himself. There were a couple issues with AmeriFreight. When the quote was originally posted, the organizer explained to me that we may have to go up a little bit in order to get somebody to accept it. The original quote started at $1,500 then he said to look at the average at what's going based on some history that he had.

It got closer to the day where we needed the vehicle to get shipped and nobody accepted the quote. He called me and said, “Well, we probably need to up it a little bit,” then we upped it a little bit and still nothing. I started thinking, “Okay. Is this how this game is going to be played where they're going to keep bringing the price up?” We ended up going up a little bit more and it went in finally. The quote was more than what the organizer originally told me. It was probably half that and the organizer said, “Oh, normally, you have to go up about $200.” We ended up going about $400 more and I felt like I was taken advantage of. But they got me in the bind already and I had to ship the car that day.

The other issue was after the quote was accepted we had a very difficult time getting a hold of the truck dispatcher. The organizer gave me a number. I called that number to set up where the vehicle is going to get picked up and it just went to a voicemail which wasn’t even a company voicemail. I reached this number, left several messages and never heard back. After the individual at AmeriFreight finally got a hold of the driver and the driver ended up calling. He got a hold of my wife but it was at the time I was out of the country. It's a bit unnerving since the coordination between the driver and myself as the customer seemed to be a little disorganized.

The other thing that surprised me was we had a brush guard on the front of our Jeep truck. When my son brought the vehicle to the location for pickup, the drivers told me that I never said there was a brush guard and I told them that I didn’t know that was important since they never asked. I don’t know if they have a checklist that they follow. But there wasn’t a problem loading the vehicle and the vehicle went fine with no damage. Time-wise and everything else was good. It got there in the time that they said it would and it was dropped off without any problems.

My dad who's 80 years old wasn’t using the car anymore so we shipped it from the Tucson area in Arizona to Orland Park, Illinois, which is the Chicago area. I looked at the reviews online and when I called AmeriFreight, the gentleman was real. The customer service rep was highly responsive. He explained the whole process to me in a way that I wasn't left in the dark about anything. What they are and that they don’t do the shipping but that they connect you with a shipper. I liked the way he explained it to me and I felt comfortable with it. I had the free online quote and then someone called me. After they got more details, the price turned out higher than the free quote but the price that they gave me was the exact price.

My interactions with the transport organizer was excellent, even with the shipping company. I have to give the carrier driver excellent high marks too. He was phenomenal. He was more than willing to go the extra mile to accommodate whatever I wanted. It took about five days from the time my car was picked up to the time it was dropped off which was a day earlier than estimated. The whole experience, from the very beginning all the way through to the delivery, was phenomenal. For me, there's nothing more that I could ask for. It has been excellent.

I moved from Michigan to California and I needed to ship my vehicle. My friend used AmeriFreight before and told me to use them. He said they're reasonable and the service is okay so I got AmeriFreight's information from him. The vehicle was picked up at a reasonable time and it took a half-month to be delivered. The rep and I had a great communication and she was very helpful. The driver was not very on time, though, maybe because of traffic, but I knew that the time might change so I didn’t have plans that day and I was just waiting for him. Initially, I told AmeriFreight that I go to work everyday so I asked if the delivery could be after 6:00. They told me I can’t arrange a time for delivery. Then the driver said he will contact me to arrange a time that is good for me to drop off the car, but he never called. So I was not so happy with him.

When I got the vehicle, it had little scratches on the plastic part in front and on the window but I’m trying not to claim anything because that takes time. Maybe they took the car on the track and used something to wrap it. Also, in the end, what I paid them was a little higher than the price quoted. Besides that, everything was perfect. AmeriFreight was pretty good and I will recommend them to a friend. But for the transport company they hired, it would be better if they can arrange a time for customers to choose from and they can call to inform if they arrived or not.

I needed a transport company and AmeriFreight seemed to have reasonable internet reviews. I originally made a request for my car to be transported from Manhattan to Naples. Harry ** was very professional and nice, and stayed in touch with me. The gentleman who did the transporting had a hundred percent rating, which was great because when you trust your possessions to someone, you want as high rating as possible. He was very nice and polite. He picked up the car and he was on time.

We were in a hotel that was along Gulf Shore Drive and there was a lot of rain so there was flooding and this particular roadway didn't allow semis, which I did not know. The gentleman brought me my car himself, which was very admirable. The problem was he had greasy hands, so he left greasy marks along the area where my right hand reaches over while driving to pull the belt across. I got most of it off, but not all. There were a couple of other slightly dirtiest place and I noticed that the gasoline was a little lower than it should have have been.

Another qualm I have was the original price quoted was $750 and the actual price was $1,250, which is a very large disparity. We also had to pay cash. In a world today where everybody takes credit and debit cards and they only take cash, it really shocked me. I'm one of those people who don't carry cash and it would have been much more convenient to pay using a charge card. But otherwise, the job was professional and the service was a good, solid satisfaction. No problem with most of AmeriFreight's duties.

My husband and I recently transferred to a new state. I was in a completely different state because his parents originally had the car but they moved from another area so we had no way of getting to New Mexico to even get the car at all. I ended up finding AmeriFreight through the Better Business Bureau and I checked them out. I got quotes from other people and they were asking for around $1,500 or money that we did not have but AmeriFreight did it for us for around $1,200. It’s still a nice chunk of money but it was a pretty good deal for us for shipping a car based on other quotes that we already got.

The transport organizer was great and he helped me get in contact with who I needed to. He was always there to answer questions I had. He was very helpful during the process because this was our first time ever shipping a vehicle. The drivers were pretty nice as well. It was a little strenuous there but the delivery was quick and they told me that it’s going be delivered on that day. The drivers were extremely helpful since they drove the car up to my house for I didn’t know how to drive a standard. They were parked on the side of the street. Whoever I spoke to and gave them a contract was very pleasant. AmeriFreight was able to help us out and it was probably one of the best services I ever had.

My experience with AmeriFreight was great. They transported two of my cars from Connecticut to Florida. We were moving from Connecticut to Florida also so we tried to coordinate that whole move. The driver that they selected was very flexible in the pickup time in Connecticut and where we met. Also, we happened to move during the hurricane so that got a little sticky. My two cars were on his truck and he happened to be visiting some family right near where I moved. So, he agreed to hold on to my cars because I was not able to access a storage unit they were supposed to go into. AmeriFreight did a very good job, continually contacting me and letting me know the status of things. I would use them again and I would ask for that particular driver to pick up my cars.

I was moving from California to Georgia and AmeriFreight seem to have a good review especially for veterans. I was happy with the quote but the quote wasn’t really consistent with the price I ended up paying. The price was way over. It was three weeks out when I got the quote to when I actually shipped. They put it out for the quote amount and the carriers bid on it and there was nothing AmeriFreight can do. But they shipped it so I appreciated that. Their rep got me what I needed in the end. It was a smooth process. The driver showed up at the time they gave me. He inspected the vehicle thoroughly, loaded it on and communicated with the destination where I was having it delivered. My car was safe when it got there. AmeriFreight is a good transport carrier. I was satisfied but I wasn’t totally happy because the price jumped.

AmeriFreight looked like a more experienced company than most of the others that I found. It took about two weeks to get the final okay from me. It was more about the pricing and they kept calling me from different transport carriers so we could find a better price. I trusted one which had its own fair share of bad reviews but nothing as terrible and worse and ridiculous like the others. I negotiated for a better deal and received my car within four days from halfway across the country. But AmeriFreight should do a bit of better explaining of how the process works. I thought they were just quickly going through how it was going to be trying to make a buck. After I experienced it all though, it was exactly how they said it would be.

I needed to get my vehicle from Santa Cruz to Atlanta. I searched around and AmeriFreight was the second one to get back to me and they had a good rate. I got an estimate beforehand, they didn't charge me for a quote and it was exactly what I had to pay. The entire process took three or four days. Everything was nice as far as dealing with everybody. They responded to my calls when I called them. Also, the carrier-drivers were nice and polite. However, they screwed up my car. They hooked the jumper cables up the wrong way and blew up the charging system.

I'm still trying to find out exactly what they did. I've replaced a couple of fuses and the main alternator fuse. AmeriFreight jumped the car three times while they had it so I knew it ran. They had to move it a couple of times off the trailer. They called me even. But that last night when they were trying to get it off, they were like, "Oh, we can't get it to start. That's weird. It ran before." And then, when I had somebody look at it, they found that the charging system had been fried. Somebody had hooked the jumper cable up backwards. My mechanic looked at that and said that's the only way the system could have been fried. I didn't find out about the problem until after they were gone and I was disappointed that they left the car on the side of the road after they couldn't get a jump. They were like, "Okay. You're problem now." And then, they left.

I was happy overall. I don't blame the whole company for what a couple of screw ups did. I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with the system. But I'm going to tell my friends not to let them jump the car. But they did a fine job of getting the car from point A to point B. It came with no external damage. They didn't scratch it or break anything that I could see externally.

The quote they gave was fair. So, I decided to move forward with them. The driver was very polite and professional. He was where he said he was going to be at the time that he would be there. They quoted me a good price but that ended up delaying the delivery for a month and the cost ended up being what I could have paid for another company. They let me know the risk of it, but they could have been more forward with how realistic that lower price was. I told the rep that I cared more about the price versus the time. But at the end of the day, I couldn't wait any longer and I raised my price.

I talked to AmeriFreight in the beginning of July and got the car in the beginning of August. It felt like they lowballed the base minimum of $800 and stated whatever it was initially to get customers in the door. It was part of their strategy and if that wasn't going to happen, they could let the consumer know. If I'm delayed two weeks more, I'm fine with that. But they pushed me to the limit where I really needed the car at a certain date at that point. And so, I ended up paying what I probably could have paid initially and then just get the car sooner.

However, they didn't go to that one and the vehicle almost didn't fit in the gate. By the time I pulled up to it, people have pulled in behind them and they caused a huge traffic jam and bunch of people were late to work. I really like her and she rocked. The carrier driver was also really nice and friendly. My experience with AmeriFreight was great.

I was moving at that time and researching for transport companies was very intimidating because there were so many websites for the pros and cons. Somehow some of these companies saturate certain websites to make them look like they have more ratings and deciding on one is a leap of faith. AmeriFreight seemed good and their website seemed pretty legitimate. Afterwards, I spoke with a representative there and asked a lot of questions. He was willing to answer them so then I decided I’m in.

However, we had a really narrow margin and I got nervous because somebody called to say my car was going to arrive on a certain day but the rep wasn’t from AmeriFreight. Then I called AmeriFreight and they cleared everything up. They said I was given wrong information and my car came a day earlier than it was supposed to, so I was happy anyway.

This was not my first rodeo and I’ve actually had cars hauled across country before a few times. Usually, I do it with the relocation service but this particular company didn't have a relocation service so I had to figure this out. I wasn’t particularly happy with the carrier that the relo company gave us either, so I wasn’t going to use them again. But I have another car that I need to travel across country with and I’m going to call AmeriFreight again. I would definitely recommend them to a friend too.

This is the third time that I've used the shipping service and I used AmeriFreight before. I looked at the accredited people from Better Business Bureau website and AmeriFreight was among the top three. The quotes that I got seemed about right and reasonable. One time, I got one of my cars home for 500 bucks, and this time for 900 for South Lake. The transport organizers were good. The only issue that I had was they were too good.

The last time that I had to deal with the shipping company, I gave them a date and they didn't get back to me for an extremely long amount of time. It was getting close for me to leave and I'd heard nothing about the people coming in to get my car. So, I called AmeriFreight on a really early date to give them time. And then I got a call back that day telling me they were ready to pick the car up. I told them it was ready to go but I needed a little bit of a heads up. So, they did that two or three more times and I was like, "Great! If you told me yesterday, absolutely today would have been fine". That was my only issue with some of the advance timing for notification. The driver was great though. I spoke with him and we were able to meet in a large area where he was able to pull the car in just fine. And then he took it to one of the two addresses that I had put down. Overall, it was a quick and easy experience.

We like AmeriFreight’s price, the quote that we got from them was fair. The transport organizer was great, really helpful and friendly. On the other hand, it was a little bit difficult getting a hold of the carrier driver. Also, we were emailed and told that somebody named John was going to call us. Then, another guy ended up calling us and we were just unsure who we were giving our car to. There was something about it that made me concerned about trusting our car with him. I was shipping a vehicle from Phoenix to New York for my personal use, so I can divide my time. I waited for several days for a bid and I didn't get any, then I started shopping myself. When I told the broker I was changing from a pickup truck to a smaller car, he said he can get it done for me. He found AmeriFreight and they got in touch with me. However, my experience was not very good. The transport organizer gave me the name of the driver and he came in a pickup truck. But he was wonderful, on time and he was great. He and his son took the car off and it was promised on a Wednesday.

I called on Wednesday and they said the truck broke down. I then called the driver and he said the other driver had a heart attack. I got another driver's number, called him and found out that his mother died. He said the owner is flying in from Phoenix to pick up the truck in the shop at freight liner and drive it to me. I was going to get it on Friday or Saturday but I didn't get it until Sunday. It was four days late. When it came, the driver said he had to take over the route for the guy whose mother had died, so I decided that was a true story.

On the other hand, the guy who brought the vehicle was nice and courteous. He was very communicative on the day that he came and called every 15 minutes to make sure that the parking lot we're meeting at was big enough for him to turn around. When he got here, he didn't know where the keys were but was later told where they were. The car arrived and it was in good shape and the vehicle that brought it was a nice rig.

One lowlight was when I called the 887 number, there was a directory of logistics people where I can press 1 for one person and 2 for the other. There were five people but more than once when I called the number, their mailbox didn't have the capability of even taking a message. It was a bad thing. I had a wishy-washy experience overall.

I sent my vehicle from Georgia to Los Angeles and had AmeriFreight for it. They were very efficient and timely and they had someone that was ready right away. The person showed up, picked the car up, and dropped it off. The transport organizer was fine, but there was one little glitch, which wasn't a big deal. I had originally said I'd have my sister on the form as a point of contact at some point if need be. But then I had re-communicated with Ali, the girl who scheduled our move, and changed it to me.

Ali wanted to get my credit card number for the booking. She called me twice within a 20-minute period and when she didn’t get a hold of me, she went to my sister and started asking her to have me call her, which I didn’t think was appropriate. I was annoyed and I scolded Ali on that. It wasn’t a rush and it wasn’t even within that week but we were going to do it. And if she can't wait for 20 minutes, then it's kind of crazy. She was pleasant and apologetic, though.

My sister moved from California to New York and she wanted to drive her car across the country. I would not let her do it alone and I wasn't going with her since I’m 72 years old. I got AmeriFreight’s services instead and paid for it. I looked online and they had no complaints so we went with them. However, Uncle Bob’s was the one that did the transport. We didn’t realize when we signed up with AmeriFreight that the cars are picked by other people to drive. That wasn’t clear when we booked. Also, we were quoted a price and then when we dealt with Bob’s, it automatically went up. It would have been fairer if AmeriFreight just said that that’s going to be the price. They pull you in with $200 cheaper and then they get you at the end.

Everything worked out except the car was dirty when it came back. They told my sister she had to have her car cleaned when it was picked up. And when it was dropped off, it took us a billion hours to get the grease off of it. It was a white Ford Focus and it was splattered all over with grease. I didn’t understand why as it was on a transport vehicle. It was almost like it was towed. Having the service was certainly better than driving across the country, but make sure it’s on a transport vehicle and not towed.

I also checked a couple other places and found that Amerifreight was a little bit cheaper than some of them. The final price was a little bit more, but the quote was pretty close. I talked to the person who got the transporter a few times on the phone and had a few emails. Basically, it was about three weeks out from when I needed the vehicles picked up. They explained that I wouldn't hear anything until closer to the day.

I emailed on the day before the first day of the window that I had given them, but they said they didn't have anything and they'd be in touch soon. Later that day, they had somebody for the first day of the window and everything went smoothly there. They followed up after the vehicle's been picked up and they followed up a couple of times as well.

I spoke to two different people on their end, including the driver himself. He was having some service done to his truck but he still made it out the same day, just a little later than he said. But I didn't have a problem with that and it was understandable. He is great to work with, friendly guy and I felt he did a good job. But instead of me having to fix it, they fixed it for me. So that was really cool that they did everything for me and I didn't have to do any work. They have a great customer service.

After AmeriFreight hired another company, I just dealt with that company. The carrier driver was nice. He picked up my vehicle in Michigan and then dropped it off to my landlord with my permission. Luckily, the truck was going to Colorado and it took him less than 48 hours from the time of pick up to delivery so the vehicle was delivered early and that was good.

We were moving from the Boston area down to the Atlanta area, and I needed to have my wife’s car shipped the same time we were moving. The entire process took a couple of weeks because two weeks before the move, somebody I was looking to do it with originally hadn’t fallen through so I needed somebody quickly. I looked at a couple of transport companies and AmeriFreight had good reviews. They gave me a free quote and it was good. In the end, it cost me a little more money, but it was in the ballpark. They also said they could do it in the timeframe I was looking for. I used a different company to ship my mother’s car from Florida up to Boston and it was a nightmare. So I looked carefully this time and came up with AmeriFreight.

We had a tight timeframe but the transport organizer kept me up-to-date. The guy kept telling me not to worry, that they will get it there and he was right. I was a little concerned but they delivered on their promises. The vehicle was coming down to Atlanta before we’re down here and the guy who picked up the car ended up having a problem with his truck, so he was delayed a day, but he communicated all that to me so, it wasn’t an issue.

AmeriFreight was excellent. I was moving from Alabama to Hawaii and I had dealt with another company and had some serious problems. I was calling just to get quotes. And this company said, "Sure, you can just cancel. We just need your credit card number and nothing will be charged. We'll just reserve the boat." And they charged me the full $2200. I had been with them 24 hours so I asked them why they charged me and they said I was locked in and there was nothing I can do. So, they baited me. I fell for it and then I called American Express and fought really hard but American Express had to side with them. Also, when I had called to complain, they kind of threatened me.

And in that process, I realized I don't want to pay the full amount upfront. I called around. I got AmeriFreight and my broker, George, explained everything. He didn't collect any payment. He knew I was in that canceling process and went over and beyond. I went from the worst experience to the best experience. Also, AmeriFreight has one person that specifically dealt with Hawaii. And he's also straightforward and he even said, "We reserved on Matson. I'll make the reservation number but then you call and you pay them." AmeriFreight was top-notch.

The quote that they gave me was extremely reasonable and broken down and explained right. I was told, "This is the part for your shipping the car. This is for the Alabama to California. And this is our charge." So, it was very clear what the broker fee was. And I know for sure because I did the money order for the Alabama to California part. I did a credit card for Matson and the broker fee. The person who met with me on the day of delivery was excellent. George said they only use good people and he also told me what to do when I met the person. And because George explained everything, I knew exactly the cell phone number, how to contract and so, the move was very smooth and professional. It took three weeks. All in all, AmeriFreight was very straightforward and patient. They took the time to explain the process and was with me throughout the entire thing.

I chose them to do it for me after I initially talked to the first guy. He seemed very knowledgeable and he had a good price. However, things didn’t go as planned. It went downhill after that.

The first guy told me what was gonna happen and what he was gonna do. It didn’t happen. I never got another phone call so I kept calling ‘cause time was coming and nothing’s happening. I finally realized that he was no longer there and nobody told me that. Luckily, I got someone on the phone on a Saturday and he was very helpful. This second guy apologized for what happened and told me he’ll do what he can to make it right. He asked me if I would be willing to increase my price and explained to me that it might be the reason nobody’s taking the bait. He helped me along the way with that and once he increased it, I actually got a call. And so he kept in contact after that to make sure that everything was going smoothly and it went well.

I wasn’t available for either pick-up or delivery so I had a neighbor do the pick-up and then I had a friend’s mother do the drop off. But this second guy stayed in contact with me. My neighbors and friend’s mother stayed in contact with me through the process and the guy who had the truck stayed in contact as well. I’m very grateful to the second guy because he was the one that actually made it happen. I just wish somebody would have told me that the first guy was no longer there instead of hiding it.

I had to wait to the very end just to make a decision because I wasn't sure when I would be able to ship the car. But Alice was very helpful and I got answers to all my questions. When the delivery came, they were here ahead of the time they advised they would get here. They had unloaded the car and put it in my driveway before I realize it was over. Unfortunately, the quote that they originally gave me was a couple of hundred less than what I ended up paying. Initially, I got an offer from them but I said, “That’s $300 more than what I was planning on paying.” They said, “Well, you can wait and see if you get more offers," so I waited. Then I got another offer from them and it was getting close to my moving date, so I just took them up on that offer. But I wish that the original quote I was given had been closer to what I actually paid.

The transport organizer, Allie, was very friendly and responsive. My communication with AmeriFreight was fine, but the company that they contracted with to do the actual transport had terrible communication. They gave me a time window for delivery, but they didn't check in with me during the transport because I was having my car dropped off with someone else. I called them to see if they were still planning on delivering my car on the scheduled date, but they never called back. Then the person that my car was dropped off to got a delivery time quote from them of 9:00 AM to noon, but they dropped my car off at 9:00 at night. I wanted to see if I could ship the vehicles ahead of time to have the vehicles during our visit. We would go back home after that and it would be another month before the actual move. I worked with the AmeriFreight representative to try and ship the vehicles during that window but we just weren’t able to do it. They weren't able to locate a carrier that could guarantee delivery within the time that we were going to be here.

We didn’t have anybody else where we could arrange that and take delivery. So we decided not to do that and ship them at the time of our move instead. During that time, the loading went smoothly and the cars were shipped with no damage. He actually arrived early which was a little bit of a problem because we haven’t come down here yet during the delivery but we had somebody who could take it and it all went fine. AmeriFreight tried to work with us and I was pleased with all the interactions. I would use them again in the future.

I used another trucking company over a year ago and they were absolutely horrendous. They wouldn't tell me where they were and who could have had my car. They also said I could have my car in seven days and I didn’t have it till after two weeks. There was even an extra 1,000 miles added on to my car too and I don't know what the hell happened. That's why I switched to AmeriFreight and I've used them twice in two months.

AmeriFreight is really good and quick. The guy I spoke with, George, made it really easy. He did all the legwork and within an hour he told me that I was going to have a driver. I called them on a Wednesday and my car was picked up on a Thursday. Most companies don’t do this. Instead, they’re sitting there saying you can get it picked up on a certain day but you have to pay a little more for it. If you’re flying out, you need your car up until work and it's easier to work with when you know when you're getting it picked up so it helps. Then you go to the airport obviously the next day or that night so you're not starting to pay for the rental. AmeriFreight really accommodated me in every way that they can.

AmeriFreight went through everything and they're very reasonably rated too. The drivers were extremely nice and they also stayed in contact and that's what you would want. You would want to know where your car is. However, one of my tires had damage on it, but then it's hard when the car's on top or on the bottom and they're wheeling it in. It's common and I'll take that in a second over dealing with the horrifying experience that I had two years ago with the other freight company. They're a great, reliable company. In fact, I'm moving back to California from Connecticut in another month and I'll be using AmeriFreight again. I had a good experience and I would definitely refer them to anyone.

We were in the process of moving from California to Colorado so we had to move a car. I had used AmeriFreight four years ago when we shipped the same car from Florida to California. The experience the first time around had been reasonable so we went the same route. I had a couple of conversations on the phone with them and we exchanged emails. Their response was prompt and it didn't take too long to get the pickup schedule. We were able to get it scheduled within the range we were looking for as well, although we were reasonably flexible on that anyway. Graham was the representative and he explained the process, what to expect and all that.

Then I talked with the carrier dispatcher three times. She called me to let me know when the driver was going to be there and she gave me a window. I talked to the driver when he was down the road, parked with my car and ready to hand it off. But I got good updates on when the vehicle was going to be there. From pickup to delivery, the process was about four days. Although it ended up costing a little bit more than the original quote, I was expecting that based on my previous experience. I'm familiar with the process so I know that they make an estimate on the quote based on what they think the market is. But at the end, it depends on what the individual carrier is able to do and on the specifics of my situation.

There's a pretty wide range of companies in terms of how reliable they are and how close to original what actually happens. I've used AmeriFreight twice and they've been consistent both times. They're very professional. They explained exactly what to expect and that's pretty much what happened. That's about as good as it gets in that business.

We moved to Florida from California and my mother-in-law had used a different auto transport company to ship the car from Florida to California. But I called them and they were unprofessional and didn't even give me a quote. So I went online, found AmeriFreight, and read the reviews. They sent a quote and followed up the next day, and they gave me three days to hold the quote at the same price. A couple of other companies also sent over their quotes but these were way more expensive, and we went with AmeriFreight.

The transport organizer, Ali, was very professional and really good. We didn't book the transport within the first 72 hours after we called her and we called her back a week later, but she gave us the same price that they had originally quoted. I gave them a date that I needed my car picked up, which was two weeks away from when we placed the order, and Ali called to keep me informed of when they were coming and who was going to pick the car up.

The carrier drivers were good, too. They came out for the pickup and called 30 minutes before we got there, and they went over the whole car with us. Then the driver called my wife for the delivery and told her he was going to be here in 30 minutes. We went over the car again and everything was perfect. Everything that AmeriFreight told me was what I got. The main thing is that they were very fair with the pricing and they've been honest. The experience that we had with them was really good and I would use them again.

I bought a couple of trucks in Oklahoma and needed them shipped in New Hampshire. I called several companies and AmeriFreight was the one that said they could do the job. But they couldn't get shipping based on the quote that they gave me online. Nobody would take the job. The transport organizer was fine, except he said they could do it for one price and by the time I got the truck, I spent a lot more than I wanted to.

AmeriFreight over-promised and underachieved. Had he told me what it was going to cost me, I would've kept calling around and tried to find a lower price. But because he quoted me a nice low price, I went with them. Time went by and I was losing money until I couldn't get the trucks because he couldn't get anyone to ship them to me for the price that he told me. I ended up paying a higher price to get the trucks here so I can move on with business. It was twice as much as what I was originally quoted. Other than that, it was great and I'd recommend them. They did the job when nobody else was doing it. But it was just a little deceptive how they got the job.

I was moving cross country and I had three vehicles. I was going to drive one of them and ship the other two. The military doesn't pay for that so I had to make my own arrangements if I wanted to get them across. AmeriFreight had good reviews when I looked them up on the internet so I went with them. The free quote was great, but it was not easy to get a shipper to go all the way across the country to a very small place, like wanting to go to Delaware, so it was understandable that the initial quote was lower than the final cost.

The whole process took about two months, but it was just a matter of getting in touch with them later. I could have contacted them later than that and had the cars shipped in the same window. The transport organizer, George, was easy to get a hold of but dealing with the carrier driver was more difficult. My particular driver got lost and he showed up late. He also couldn't give me any exact time when he'll show up so the delivery ended up being a bit of a pain. But the troubles that I experienced with AmeriFreight are common to all companies like that. I'd still recommend them.

Their pricing was reasonable and they're responsive, on time, and did everything they said, which was the only thing I asked for. The transport organizer was very helpful and always willing to do the extra mile because we didn't really have a determined location for the car to be delivered. They were accommodating and they let me put some stuff in it. They even said that we could pack it up as much as we can, which was a tremendous help for us because we were already overpacked. The car came earlier than expected and was in great condition. I transported the car to California from New York, and the process took 10 days to complete. My wife dealt with the driver and their interaction was fine. Everything with AmeriFreight has been great and they followed up. Everything was as expected, if not better, and I would totally use them again if ever I'm in need.

AmeriFreight moved my car without any problems but it took a while. I got a free quote from AmeriFreight and it was great. When I got the quote, I had a specific price in mind but then I was advised that the quote online was not accurate. In order to meet the expectations, the reps from AmeriFreight had to come back and drop the initial broker fee associated with the quote. It took a month to move forward with the vehicle, which was more frustrating than anything. The quote difference between the initial anchoring price and the actual price was shocking. But the service was good and they kept me informed. The interactions I had with the transport organizer were very upbeat and positive. He was willing to negotiate with me too. The carrier driver, however, never called 24 hours in advance to drop the vehicle off. He also didn’t leave a message. But overall AmeriFreight met my expectations, the experience was just not great.

I was moving for a job and I chose AmeriFreight to ship my two cars. Initially, they gave me a small quote of $1,050 for each car and I paid some kind of a deposit. Their agent was very nice and she managed everything. Then she told me that the roads from Vegas to Seattle are really rough and tough and the drivers were not willing to go all the way. But there was a delivery trailer truck in my area and the driver was very willing but he was asking for $1,000 more for each car. I was out of the country and I didn't have the time to argue. Also, my friend needed the car and I didn't want to bother him. So I said yes to the agent and told my friend that the carrier was coming. I ended up paying around $1,500 for each car and I can't blame AmeriFreight because their agent warned me in the beginning that the price may increase depending on the carriers.

But if AmeriFreight is sending this shipment every year across the country, they need to know exactly how much price the carriers are going to quote for. If there's a slight variation, like $100 or $150 then that can be, but $300 or $400 is too much difference between the initial quote and the final price. What I was expecting is that their quote should at least match what the driver would expect. But their reps were professional, contacted me directly and explained everything. They also gave me upfront information and were pretty good in that. All in all, it took almost two weeks to arrange the shipment and the shipping took seven days.

I’m in the military and I got orders to move across the country, so I shipped my vehicle. When I was looking for quotes online, AmeriFreight had pretty good reviews and they had a decent price so I went with them. The interaction with the transport organizer was very pleasant. Everybody was very helpful and professional.

We were going to take a little bit longer to travel across the country than we had prior assumed. Since we weren’t going to be here to receive the vehicle, they said that they wouldn’t be able to store it at all and that in order to pay for the vehicle, I had to pay them a fee and then pay the driver on arrival, a cashier’s check for a certain amount. In order to eschew obfuscation and have somebody that I already knew here pick the vehicle for me, I had to pay them an extra fee in order to pay it in full. That's my only complaint. From beginning to end, the transport took a week and a half. It could’ve been fast but I tried to get them to stretch it out as much as possible. Overall, AmeriFreight was professional and slightly organized.

I can always find them if I had questions.

I had a very good experience with AmeriFreight’s drivers. They gave me the times for when they could arrive. If they couldn’t make it, they always called almost 24 hours ahead of time and said, “Hey, sorry. We might be a little bit late,” or “We might not be able to do tomorrow.” They gave me their phone numbers, that’s why I could contact them. There were some things that I still wasn't quite sure on and communication could have been a little bit better. But it was good for the most part.

The carrier driver was perfect for the pickup. But then for the delivery, the driver got there two days before and it was on a weekend as well. I had some people at the military base that I have been in contact with and who were going to receive the vehicle for me on a Tuesday. And the driver called me on a Saturday afternoon and said that he's in Las Vegas and he's ready to drop the vehicle off. And I'm like, "Well, my guys aren't ready yet." It was a flurry of phone calls to try to figure out someone to take delivery. He made it seem like I didn't really have an option and I had to say that we agreed that it would be on this day. I had to put my foot down and assert myself a bit. It ended up at the driver to deliver it the next day. It was still a day early and so I still had the inconvenience from people at the other end.

AmeriFreight could guarantee the pickup and the drop off times and gave us the flexibility of picking a shipper, although there was no time to find the right one. Also, they were flexible and reasonable on their quotes. I talked to the organizer, Graham, about six weeks before the move to get a feel thereof and we finally set the plans down about two or three weeks before the move.

Graham was patient throughout the entire process. My girlfriend's car is a newer car and we had a lot of questions, which he was able to answer well. We went through the whole process and made sure that her car was safe and insured. We were given a date-range and the driver hit it in the middle. He said less, did more and was reliable on that end. From beginning to end, the process took about five or six days. AmeriFreight is hassle-free. I didn't have to deal with any after-purchase merchandising or any spam mails, which was nice. And I was able to go to them for what I needed and complete the transaction having some peace of mind about it.

Their quote was within a tolerable range and their transport organizer, Jorge, was helpful. He got in touch with me quickly and walked me through the process, so the experience was easy and simple. However, the carrier did not have the right trailer for my vehicle. It was a covered trailer and small for my vehicle but the carrier accepted and said they’d make it work but the driver said, “I can’t accept this because your car is going to get scratched in my trailer.” So, it was the driver who refused delivery that time. The carrier should have known a lot of this stuff and didn’t bother to check at that time.

I had to go back and follow up with Jorge and he had to arrange a whole new carrier and it ended up delaying my move a day. The second carrier was good though. Unfortunately, I was delayed and I already had to leave. I had to arrange for somebody to be here for that and that was a big headache. But once they got it on the truck, the new carrier got it to my new destination. The whole process was quick which took a total of three weeks to have my vehicle transported.

AmeriFreight advertised one of the lower rates and I saw that they had a local Atlanta phone number, which piqued my interest since I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia. They also got back to me quicker than some of the other carriers. When they sent back an email with one of the lower rates, I followed up with them. The transport organizer was knowledgeable and professional. Discussing the details of the move with him wasn't too hard and he worked quickly, which was what I was looking for because I needed my car moved quickly. The driver called me and gave me a time when he was going to be there. He called again to say he was running late because of the traffic. About 10 to 15 minutes out, he called again to let me know he would be there soon. So, that went well.

On top of that, not having to put a deposit down for the shipping was nice. I’m stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky here in Tennessee but I was having the car shipped to California to have some custom work done to it. When I shipped it out there, I used a different company and I had to put down a $400 deposit. The rep was very upfront on what was going to happen. In the end, I let it go for so long that the price increased dramatically because they might need it to get stuff done.

The driver was coming into Houston late at night and told me that he would deliver the next morning. I told him that it was fine and he could deliver that late at night. He made it absolutely sure that I was okay with it because it ended up being two o'clock in the morning. We had great dialogues and we totally worked it out. He was very flexible. We were moving and had AmeriFreight ship two cars. I read the reviews online and the quote was reasonable so I went with them. However, I actually ended up paying twice as much as I was quoted. The cars couldn't be picked up in the time frame that we wanted. And so, we had to increase our quote significantly. And then, the cars ended up getting here. We weren't even here to receive them. So, the timing was not ideal. I have told the organizer to set everything up a few weeks in advance thinking that that would make it easier to actually get our cars picked up in a timely manner. And I didn't really hear from them in those weeks, leading up to the five-day window that we had provided. And so, I called the Friday before the five-day window started and I was told not to worry. There'd be a lot more action once the actual period had started.

Monday came along, I didn't hear anything. I called in just to make sure, they told me, "No, it's the first day. Not to worry." So then, I gave it another day. I called back on Wednesday. I had a hard time getting a hold of the organizer, 'cause he kept going in and out of meetings. And I didn't actually get to talk to him until Thursday. I was told he'd call me back when he got out. So, it was just a lot of back and forth. It's not a great communication. We ended up raising our claim along that Thursday a few hundred and then, continued to increase until I told them my max. And then, we waited for somebody to take our offer.

It didn't happen until five days after the original window had closed. We were told that it would take two days to ship. And at that point, we were just happy to get it to Texas. So, we just took whatever we got. The driver picked them up 12 hours later than he said he was going to. But he still made it up somehow in that actual change of time. We'd already moved from Florida to Dallas when the cars got picked up in Florida. I had a friend who I left my keys with. And they dropped off the car. Then the time the cars got to Dallas, we were in Florida 'cause I had to go back for a graduation, like a two-day thing. Fortunately, I have a sister that lives in Dallas and who was able to receive the cars.

Our biggest gripe was with the transparency of it all. The communication wasn't as good as we would have hoped for. But I know they are busy on the other end. It's just that it’s a big deal to us and it cost on me. It was tough when we didn't know what was going on and we were just waiting to figure it out. But the cars got delivered and they are in good condition. I can't say that the service was bad just that the process of getting them was different than we anticipated. It was not as pleasant as we had hoped. It was actually a difficult experience.

I shipped a car before and I got calls from about 10 different movers. Other websites aren’t really moving companies but logistics ones. You fill out a request for estimates and they'll send out that request to a bunch of shippers. And then they'll get ahold of you and try to sell you.

The carrier driver was also very good. I was out of town and had my neighbor with the money. So, the driver kept in touch with me and kept me updated on the time when he was gonna be there for the delivery.

My girlfriend asked me to help her look up shipping companies to ship her car since she got a job in Dallas. AmeriFreight has high ratings and they worked with the military and I used to be in the Navy, so thought I’d go with a trusted brand. I also looked around and their quote was the lowest one available. Then the final price was still lower than any other quotes I received.

Everything was through the phone and email with the transport organizer. She kept me up-to-date with everything, any forms that I had to fill out, the ones I sent, and she checked it right away and was able to tell me if there are any issues with them. I was able to get everything done in the timeframe I had. I needed the car shipped that same week that I looked for a quote, and they were able to find me a company that left on a Friday, so it was good. My girlfriend spoke with the carrier driver when they came and picked up the car, and she was also there in Dallas when she received the car. The whole experience has been quick and easy.

I was moving and instead of driving the car from West Coast to East Coast with a huge parrot and a dog, it made more sense to ship it. I’m shipping my items with a moving company, so I might as well ship my Honda Element and then fly over, which is much easier for my age. AmeriFreight has good reviews online so I got a quote and the price was reasonable for the distance I was shipping it. I had a good estimate on how much it would cost to go cross country prior to shipping the car since I had it shipped to Monterey, California from where I bought it in Texas.

I told AmeriFreight’s organizer what I wanted and where I was going. He found a company that would take my car across within the quote he gave me and provided me with the company’s name and the date. The driver contacted me a couple of days before I was going to pick up the car to let me know that he’d be there on the date he had stated. Unfortunately, the driver who picked up the car had once picked up a vehicle at someone’s house in Pacific Grove and due to his other experience, he didn’t want to pick up the car in front of my house. Pacific Grove has streets that even my Element doesn’t like. They can be very narrow and nasty, little streets and he thought Monterrey was the same. My street’s really wide and if I go down the hill, I’m by the freeway. But I ended up meeting him in front of Home Depot. He was there on time, put the car and then offloaded it at my house.

The driver was so nice and very careful with my car. I watched him offload a couple of cars to get to mine. He was very meticulous in what he was doing and it was nice to see that. The car was delivered within the time frame and the driver communicated with me. If I had any questions, I always had his cell number available. It worked out well. AmeriFreight was very efficient and professional. From what was said to price and dates, what they offered and said is exactly what I got. They have good communication and follow through.

I called AmeriFreight two months in advance and they told me to call them again two weeks in advance. I have a small Honda Civic and they only got me one shipment offer in the time frame. They quoted me a price that was under my budget by $150 and that was fine, but when they found someone to deliver the car, they increased the price by 30%. Their excuse was I was given false information by their new staff member, but I had called and spoken to the manager before I’d gotten that price and he never mentioned anything about it when he reviewed my file. It was the worst customer service I ever had.

They tried to blame me that I should have known that when they give a price quote, it's just an estimate. Usually, when people quote something, they quote a little high, not a little low so that it doesn't become a problem. They quoted me $830 and then they were asking me to pay $1,140. My work paid for it, but I had to pay the difference. My budget was $1000 and AmeriFreight was aware of that. I cried on the phone before they decided they were going to help me. On the other hand, the transporting went great. The guy who picked it up was awesome and he and the guy who dropped it off were flexible, nice and called me in advance.

It took me almost a month and a half to ship the car because I started out and got a quote and then had problems and had to do some things to the car. The person that was receiving it wasn't ready so we waited a while and then went back and updated it. And the container was changed from an open to a closed one. The organizer was responsive, gave me numbers right away and showed me how to accept all the stuff. The driver was great too and it took him 6 days to get my car to California. I would ship via them anytime I ship now. They get the job done as told in a timely fashion.

I'm out here in Oregon for a year to take care of my granddaughter, so I wanted to have my car here. My older son investigated and felt most comfortable with AmeriFreight, so we used them. I shipped my car from St. Pete, Florida out here to Eugene, Oregon. My son got a quote from them and he was satisfied and I was happy with it. He also got quotes from other companies and they were all over $2,000. So I thought AmeriFreight's price for taking my car cross-country was reasonable and very fair. My transport organizer, Allie, was extremely helpful with the process and always responded to me in anything that came up, so I was very pleased with her help. And when she wasn't available, somebody else got in touch with me.

When the car was picked up, I had to take my car down and meet the carrier driver a couple of blocks from my apartment because there were overhanging trees in the area where I lived in Florida, so he couldn't bring the transport vehicle right to my apartment, but that worked out fine and he was very good. My car was delivered out here a day later than I expected, but that didn't cause any big problem because I was at my son's house. They brought my car right to my son's house and it was delivered in excellent shape. It had some dust on it, but that's to be expected going across the country. Everybody was prompt and kept me up to date. I'm very pleased with the service. I would certainly use AmeriFreight again and I would recommend them.

I needed to get a vehicle transported that I bought at an auction. AmeriFreight helped me a lot down in Houston and I’m in Atlanta. I dealt with another one first. I honestly don’t remember the original website and I understand how the load boards work and I got calls, quotes and emails from several companies and the one that I chose said they could do it for a certain rate and they ended up not being able to do it. They didn’t have any booked and so I ended up leaving and pulling it from that company. I went back online and I went to a website specifically for vehicle movers and ratings and AmeriFreight was ranked one of the highest over several years and then in the most recent year. I compared and saw that they had a consistent track record. Plus, they were local here in Atlanta.

The quote was good. It was the same with the other company but they gave me a firm quote and guaranteed that it could be picked up before they gave me the final price and I liked that. The transport organizer was a young guy but he was very good. I was frustrated with the other company because they get you hooked and then they start creeping the price up. AmeriFreight and this guy did not do that. They simply said they will find a driver that will do this for the rate we’re looking at or trying for. Then they’ll call when they find one. And they did and were very helpful in answering questions.

The driver and I had a very brief but professional interaction on the day of the delivery. They were almost finished unloading it by the time I saw them, and they were gone. I paid them and shook hands. They were polite and everything went great. It took less than 24 hours from pick-up to drop-off. It was booked the day before, they picked up on Monday and then delivered on Tuesday, 20 hours later. I appreciate that they were very honest, upfront and didn’t try to get me locked in before they had everything firmed up. There was no runaround like I had with the first company. They did a great job and they were professional, friendly and easy to work with.

My mother-in-law had given me a pick-up truck and I needed to move it from Colorado to California. The original quote that I got from AmeriFreight was around $799, so I went with them thinking I would get that price. However, the actual rate I paid was over $100 more than that. I definitely felt like I had the wool slightly pulled over my eyes, which was unfortunate. Their rep said that the quote they give online was the barest minimum they can offer, but it would often take a really long time to find some carrier that's absolutely needing to fill one last spot on the truck and would accept the original quote. Other than that, he was professional and he got back to me in a reasonable amount of time.

The actual process from pick up to delivery was a day earlier than what they originally said and the carrier driver was very business-like. My truck was the first one off the truck and he still had a bunch of stuff to get to in a day, but he wasn't discourteous and he got it off his carrier very quickly without damaging anything. Then he got the paperwork for me to sign. I signed it, he took payment and we were done. He was a gregarious person, but he was professional.

And I don't trust a lot of the drivers on the road so I'd rather have the vehicle be safely strapped to a trailer. I looked at a lot of the websites, reviews and overall ratings and found that AmeriFreight was the highest recommended company. Also, I got a few quotes from four different companies and AmeriFreight was $15 more than a different company but I liked their rep's attitude more than I liked the other company.

Their transport organizer was also very nice. He and the company AmeriFreight used to transport the vehicle were very easy to deal with. They gave us updates when we called them. It only took a few days for them to pick the vehicle up, and four days for them to deliver it. However, they were a little late picking it up but they were on time delivering. And the whole process wasn't that long at all and the car got transported faster than I thought. If I ever find a project car within a certain area, I'll use AmeriFreight again to take it out.

It wasn’t working and I needed to get it shipped out. AmeriFreight got me in with a low price and I was really excited about the quote. Then they said they weren’t getting any offers because it was a low price and that my car wasn’t working. But it was already known in the quote that the car wouldn't start.

AmeriFreight called me and said they have an offer and that I should take it because the guy would get many offers later. The price went up significantly and it was $400 or $500 more than what they quoted me. I wasn’t happy about that and it didn’t work out for me. I could have gone with anyone and I would have had the same price for what may be even plus. Still, my car got out to where I am and the transport organizer and the carrier were really nice. The process took 5-6 days. I had no schedule so it was fine with me and it worked out fine. But one thing that was funny and they never addressed it was the woman who my friend gave the car to him, and gave him a tip and he accepted it. It was a cash tip and that was weird because I paid so much money so why was he accepting more cash? Even so, the whole experience has been satisfactory.

I moved cross-country and AmeriFreight came highly recommended. But it turns out they screw their customers into doing reviews for them, so those reviews aren't entirely accurate. They suck. The free quote was absolutely incorrect and inaccurate. I was quoted $1,300 and it ended up costing us $2,700 to ship my car. The entire process took about two months. The first person I had talked to was really rude so I asked to be transferred to another person. She quoted me the same $1,300 and told me that my car would be picked up by a certain date and that it would be okay but I hadn't heard from them the next few days.

I talked to them again and they said, "Okay, well, to get specific shipping dates, you have to pay a little bit more, like $1,500." And I agreed because I have to have it shipped. We're leaving my old place and moving across country so it has to be done. Then they came back and said they have a vendor who is willing to ship it for me but they want $2,000 so I have to pay another $500 on top of it. I'm in a pickle because they have me under contract, that once you get a quote and they find a shipper, you have to ship with them. I couldn't back out of it.

The car gets here a day before it was supposed to so luckily, we arrived at our destination a day early. Otherwise, my car would be sitting in a yard somewhere not being able to be picked up. Upon arrival, they wanted another extra $300 for COD and we don't have a bank out here. Our bank is on the East Coast and we had to do all these hoops and jumps. And they don't take a credit card payment. It was terrible. Everything about that company is horrible.

We were sending the vehicle to our son who's in the military. I had done some basic Google searches and read reviews of AmeriFreight and their reviews tend to be a little more positive than a lot of few of the other service providers. I got their free quote and it was on a par with another quote that I got so it was very competitive. I printed out a filler to another company but it took them four days to get back to me with an email response and I found that unacceptable. A big thing that we look for is responsiveness to queries. So, Jorge from AmeriFreight was my handler. He got back to me straight away and was responsive both in email and in phone calls.

On the other hand, I was a little bit taken aback because I didn't immediately understand that AmeriFreight is a broker. That they're dealing exclusively with subcontractors because when they did identify who the actual carrier company was, I went and looked up the carrier company. And the reviews for the carrier company were less than stellar. But when I contacted AmeriFreight back, he assured me effectively that the freight carrier themselves had undergone management changes and they were much more solid than the year old reviews had indicated.

He swayed some of my concerns and then when I got a chance to meet the actual carrier, they seemed good to go. I was happy to see that the carrier I met was the single driver that was going to take the vehicle from pickup to meet to deliver to my son and that there weren't any intermediate shippers. The carrier driver did a good job of staying in touch via cell phone as he was making his way. We met briefly at a local shopping mall because I knew that that would be easier for him to maneuver his transport carrier. He had everything he needed and all the paperwork was in order. We did a quick walk-around of the vehicle and as soon as we completed the walk-around, he gave me my copy of our documentation and he bid me adieu.

The delivery window they gave us was something in the neighborhood of seven to ten days since we were going out to California. The vehicle was delivered to my son on time, right within the window, and there were no delays. They had my son's contact information to make arrangements for the pickup. There were no issues with the vehicle and no hidden fees or request for anything. The whole experience went well.

My son was finishing up college. He had my car in Florida and he needed to get it shipped back out to California. I went through a few companies and did not feel real good about any of it. I finally talked to a friend of mine that has transported vehicles in the past and he recommended AmeriFreight to me. I thought that the industry as a whole was really bizarre. I’m very much a plan-it, know-what-you’re-gonna-pay-and-be-ready-to-go but I understood they put the move up on the board and folks had to bid on the pick-up and the delivery. It’s difficult to lock down a price, and in the end, the price went up a little bit. It was also very difficult to schedule as I can’t control the driver and the demand so it ended up being last minute. I was in Florida and it was the last day before we leave. I was getting ready to have to drive back then they got a hold of me and said that they found a driver so it worked out.

The transport organizer did a good job at keeping me informed and explaining the process as I was new to it. Then my son met the carrier driver in Florida for about five minutes during pick-up. He did a good job once he started getting closer and kept me posted. He ended up showing up a couple of hours early and unfortunately, I had to make him wait a little while. He walked around the car, I handed him his money, signed the document, and off he went. The total process took six days. My expectation fell in the window. It would be very difficult if I was moving my whole family and need to know those dates exactly but otherwise, I think they did a very good job with explaining all that. It might not have been what I wanted to hear but they explained it. AmeriFreight was perfectly adequate.

From step one, Allie, the transport organizer, was very friendly and helpful in getting all of our locations and timing, as far as when we're going and when we would need to pick the vehicle up. She checked back with us several times before, during and after the process to make sure everything is going smoothly.

She also gave us an estimate prior to contacting the third party that was going to be doing the move. It was $850 which was almost $2,000 below anyone else. She explained that it would go up just depending on who their driver was going to be. The driver usually asks for a certain range of price after that. But even with that price, it beat everybody else. The interaction we had with the carrier was perfect, as well. His English was a little rough but he was very friendly. I was in contact with him every day just to get an ETA of when and where should we meet him. We were also in contact once he got to town to find a good location for his truck and delivery of the car.

I live in Japan and my husband and I are returning back to United States. We purchased a car from somebody who lives in the Chicago area and had it shipped to Virginia where my mother is because we're going to be living there. AmeriFreight was more expensive but had good reviews and so we used them. It was about a $100 more than what they quoted me.

They were originally smooth, and their hours were better than most companies. There's a 13-hour difference in Japan and US and they were open till 7:00 at night which was helpful. They sent me a quote and gave me a military discount. They took $30 bucks off and upfront said it will be $600. Then I called about a month and a half before our actual move hopefully thinking that would give them some time to find a transport company to move the vehicle. It wasn't until the day of the move, I gave them a window and at the beginning of that window, I started hearing anything from them.

I tried to tell the transport guy many times to keep in mind that I'm not going to get his call at 2:00 AM. So, if I do not sit by my phone, it doesn't really ring and I have to see it. I was in Hiroshima and received seven calls in the middle of the night. I happened to notice the guy's call on the way to the airport and I called him back. He told me that he has a company that wanted to move my vehicle for $900 which was $300 more than what he told me he can move it for. I said, "Absolutely not." AmeriFreight was already $100 more than others but I told him I went with them because of the good reviews. Then he asked me what highest I would go, and I told him 700.

Then when I was sleeping again, he was drastically trying to call at 3:00 in the morning to tell me that company had agreed and they were going to move it for $700. By the time I got the call and called back, they had already picked up the car before I could say yes. I wasn't happy that they didn't even contact me. He took my yes as I don't want to go any higher than $700. To me, a yes is they’d call back and get a hold of me then pick up the vehicle. So, all that was a little frustrating and I didn't even get to send my mother the money. She had to pay for it out-of-pocket so I had to wire her the money. That's why I made the arrangements early so nothing would have to be last second.

As soon as I got back from Hiroshima, I called my mother and she said that AmeriFreight already dropped the car off there. The van must have been right there and they just wanted to take the car right then. And then, my mom moved it from Chicago to Virginia in a day and a half. It was fast right there, but what if my mom didn't have that amount. They would really put her in a bad situation.

I believe that once I said $700, the guy called my mom back and said that I'll do it for that amount. I almost felt like it was a gimmick because $900 was so high. I moved a car across the country several years from California to Georgia and it was only $700 and it was an oversized vehicle. I think I overpaid to have my vehicle moved significantly. My mom wasn't upset about it and the van made it there safely. I'm thankful for AmeriFreight that they were willing to work this out with me living in Japan. Bottom line, I still got my car so that's really what matters.

They're a reputable company and I always felt safe that they will take care of my car. They were always professional and polite when I speak to them. They were very upfront about their policies and procedures and I felt like they were not going to steal my money from me or if I gave them my credit card. I think they could just have a little bit of training about working with people in different time zones and across the world and provide good service to be a worldwide company.

I have about 50 friends who are moving back to the United States who need vehicles moved to different parts of the country. They're going to have more people calling them from overseas and what matters to me is that I want somebody who has good ratings and reviews, and that's who I'm going to go with because I live so far away

I was relocating to the West Coast. I called a couple of transport companies and looked at where they have results. Then I started researching good reviews of car transport companies and AmeriFreight came up numerous times. They shipped within the military and a lot of military people used them so they're good and then I trusted them. Their quote was a little bit lower than other companies and they don't use a carrier.

It was a learning experience for me because I had never transported a car like this. I never knew that 99.9% of the people use a brokerage company and it goes out in national board and they look at who's going to where and who wants to take the car at that price. I thought everyone would be in the same price range but some people wouldn't pick it up because it wasn't high enough that could do the transporting.

The transport organizer, Ali, walked me through step-by-step and she said that the closer I get to the move date, I may have to increase the price. So, she suggested that we put them out earlier than the move date which turned out to be good for us because we got so many to transport them. Ali kept me apprised of every step along the way prior to picking the car up and explained everything in great detail.

The guy picked it up on a Saturday and delivered it that following Friday. He was very pleasant and nice because I was still in Georgia and my mom and niece met him. He was really good 'cause neither one of them could drive a four-speed because it's a classic car so he drove it back. The whole thing was very smooth and the car arrived safely. It was good communication all the way through, easy and efficient transaction.

I was moving and I needed to ship my vehicle. First, I chose a company which was a lot cheaper and then they flaked out on me. They didn't get me a driver for three weeks and my plane was leaving. I called the day before and canceled them yet they still charged me the broker fee. Then, I saw a good review of AmeriFreight and called them. The first person I talked to was super helpful and then I ended up working with somebody else. Also, their transport organizer, Travis, was super professional. I tell him one thing one-time and it will be done. I don't have to keep calling him. Their carrier driver was great too. I had to coordinate with him as my friend was picking up my car because AmeriFrieght could not take it all the way to the town I was in.

And then, the payment got messed up because I opened up a new bank account and they wouldn't clear my check. Still, it all worked out. They charged a lot but they told me ahead of time and they ran my credit card at the last minute so that's super helpful. Overall, my experience with AmeriFreight was great. They are not cheap by any means but they get the job done with no hassle.

I purchased a vehicle and I needed it shipped. I chose AmeriFreight primarily because of the ratings they had online. The quote was inexpensive and cost-effective. I had received quotes to have the vehicle driven and those were almost double the price that AmeriFreight offered. But their quote originally was not sufficient for the pickup so I raised it on my choice since I wanted the shipping in a quick amount of time. Also, the location in which I was picking up and delivering to are not traditional routes.

I contacted the rep through email and spoke with him several times on the phone. AmeriFreight gave me the contact number of the owner of the carrier company once the job was expected. I was glad I contacted the owner because I was originally told the car would be delivered on Thursday and it was actually supposed to be delivered on Tuesday just because he could pick it up and drop it off more quickly. I don’t know if there was a communication breakdown between them.

The owner was awesome and contacted his driver to verify and call me back. The driver called me at 9:00 am and told me he was going to deliver at 5:00. He contacted me when he was leaving, an hour and a half away, and he was willing to meet me wherever I needed to meet with him and take delivery. The experience was simple and easy. I had not shipped a vehicle before but it was definitely worth the time of having them handle and ship it. I was satisfied.

I was moving so I needed to ship my car from Orange County, California all the way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I've used AmeriFreight before. Three years ago I shipped the same car from Cleveland, Ohio to Orange County, California and I like their service. The quote was also very reasonable. It was actually about $100 cheaper than three years ago. It's almost the same distance and I was imagining part of the price would go up a little bit. So I was surprised. I think I got a very good price. Plus, they gave me $50 back because I'm a return customer.

I talked to George back and forth by email and by phone. He was very courteous and he always reached out to me. So, I'm very satisfied. Then the driver actually arrived earlier but he called me and said he couldn't wait for me. I told him he should have told me he'll be there at ten o'clock and not just call me at nine o'clock and say he only has ten minutes. That's very inconvenient. From the time I contacted AmeriFreight, the process took about one month. But I got the car within a week and that's pretty fast. Their service had been professional and I really like AmeriFreight.

I was new to this and I assumed AmeriFreight must be a good company. Since I was also busy at that time and I had to get my car shipped at a certain time period, I did not check on other companies anymore and trusted AmeriFreight.

They gave me a lower quote but I ended up paying higher. They told me upfront about it but I didn’t realize it was much higher. The head person who organized the shipping schedule was great. He’s very professional and good to work with. He communicated everything to me very well, kept me up to date, and followed through afterwards. Also, the driver was professional and on time. He was very fast and he delivered the car in 4 days. I thought it was going to take him more than that. AmeriFreight offers good service. They care about their customers as well. However, given the higher price, I'd probably not choose them in the future. I would also not recommend them if money was a problem.

I told them when and where I needed the vehicle to be able to pick up and he had met all the timelines that I needed. From beginning to end, the process took 14 days. It was pretty quick once I gave our estimated day. I also filed a couple of days early and wanted to see if the vehicle could be picked up early which I agreed to. AmeriFreight was great, very professional, and treated me very well. But the company that shipped my car scratched it and I just gave up on it. AmeriFreight gave me the lowest quote for shipping my cars. However, after talking to the organizer a few times concerning the details, the price ended up being much more than what was initially quoted. They explained that the quote is what they put it out for if they don’t get anyone to respond. And that these are the bids that people came back with so it’s up to the customer to either accept or reject it. They can’t guarantee that that’s gonna be the amount.

I don’t mind. I went on and did it and then they picked up as scheduled. The carrier driver met us at a parking lot, loaded the cars, no issues. But I think they delivered in two or three days instead of the seven to 10 that I was quoted so I had scramble to arrange for somebody to meet them on the other end to receive the cars. He pretty much picked up and delivered straight there. Had I known that, I would have had a later pick-up date. Also, it would just be great to have more clarity of pricing at the front end. I selected them for being the lowest bidder. I ended up paying as much or more than what the other folks quoted. That will be a little more disclaimer on that.

I went from California to Florida for graduate school and my dad took care of everything with regards to shipping the car. There was another company that he tried to use and wasn’t really honest about the process. He ended up losing a deposit and had to pick somewhere else. Then he found AmeriFreight and the ratings were really high. My dad thought he’d give them a shot and everything was so amazing. The people were very upfront about how everything worked, getting the car out, and what the realistic cost is. So when I took care of shipping the car back to California I chose them again.

I first made the call to AmeriFreight to get a bid then I got the car locked into a deal two days later so it was really fast to get the bid picked up. The transport organizer, George, was really easy to get a hold of. There was some confusion with when the contractor was coming and didn’t contact him or us to say that they were coming a day later. We called George and he said he’d take care of it. Pretty much immediately after we hung up, the contractor called. So, their personnel was really awesome and on top of everything. Then it took about five days on the trip before it was delivered to my dad. It was a very quick and easy process. If there was a hiccup, they were there for us immediately and got everything handled smoothly. If I really need to use a similar transport service again I wouldn’t use anybody else. They were great.

AmeriFreight is a quick talking shipping broker that uses subpar shippers. I had four vans in Florida that I purchased that I needed to bring out to Georgia. AmeriFreight was locally based, then I find out that they were just a broker. I hate auto brokers, but unfortunately, I got stuck with yet another one. The quote they gave me was fair until they jacked the price up about $300 a vehicle when it came time to actually get the vehicles shipped. I know how the shipping industry works. Usually, you start out at certain amount and kind of pad it a little bit as you go to see if you can get a traction on it. But about seven days into it, they went from a certain price to another certain price.

I also wasn't really pleased with AmeriFreight in general because the first driver that showed up to take my stuff up refused to pick it up because AmeriFreight didn't share the details of the shipment with their company. Then, in the process of that, he dropped one of my vehicles off the trailer, damaging it which I received zero compensation for, other than more time loss and more money for repairs. Though their reps were easy to get a hold of and they conducted themselves fine, we had some stressful conversation back and forth. But the actual carrier that brought the vehicles to me was great. He did both loads for me. He brought two vans and went back out the other two and came back a couple of days later.

I was moving from Wisconsin to California to take a new job and I tried to find a transport company with as good a rating as I could find. Going with AmeriFreight was a random choice and I was happy with the quote, however, I didn’t expect the process. They put the work out for bid to trucking companies so the quote they gave me was the minimum they started with for a bid. If no trucker takes the bid then I have to continue increasing what I'm willing to pay until someone takes the job. The actual amount that I paid wasn’t outrageous but it was certainly more than what we started with. The bidding process at the beginning took about a week but then once the vehicle was picked up, it was four days to drop off so it was quick.

Overall, the system as it’s designed worked well and the company representatives did a great a job. I talked to the transport organizer several times and he was very responsive. He described the whole process and did a good job. The carrier driver was polite and more or less on time. We were given two days window for pick up and two days window for delivery, but it was a little bit difficult trying to coordinate a lot of other pieces of the move to time it. We were also driving across the country so the biggest issue was the delivery since the driver wanted to deliver when he wanted to deliver and when it's convenient for him. Nonetheless, AmeriFreight has been professional and efficient.

I was moving and I used AmeriFreight because of their reviews and the price. They gave me a reasonable and very competitive quote for enclosing my vehicle. It was a good value. The transport organizers helped me set my expectations around the pick up and drop off and they facilitated the whole process well. The carrier driver was very friendly and took very good care of the vehicle. He is also punctual and he gave me a call beforehand and whenever I called him, he would answer. AmeriFreight made a promise around delivering the service and they followed through. It was very seamless and straightforward. Everyone was friendly and timely so I was happy with the service.

I bought an out-of-state used vehicle and I needed to move it across the country. I read good reviews on AmeriFreight, and went with them. Instead of using their free quote option, I worked with an agent and who got a shipping company for us. However, the quote we got it wasn’t accurate, and ended up way less than the cost. I said wanted service quickly, and that I was willing to pay a little more but in the end, it took just as long. While my transport organizer was utterly lovely to talk to and very nice, I didn’t often feel like I got great advice. He was really hard to get a hold of and would call me back at a time that is not great. I would ask something because I don’t know anything about this and he would advise in terms of waiting or upping the price, and said “Oh, I don’t know. You can do either.”

I've also had two interactions with the carrier driver. One, to check and make sure we had each other’s phone numbers and then one, to set a pick-up. The only thing I didn’t expect but totally made sense was that, because our vehicle was on such a massive truck, they couldn’t actually come into our neighborhood. I ended up having to drive 30 minutes out of town to a jammed parking lot where they could pull the truck in. They had said it was door to door, but that wasn’t actually accurate. I it took about a week from when we first called them until we got the car. It was coming from New York to California so I can imagine driving it any faster than that.

Once AmeriFreight had said they had secured a driver, there was a week between then and when they could actually pick-up, but we weren’t told that. They were like, “Oh we can pick-up as soon as the car is ready.” The car was ready on a Monday but I don’t think they picked up until Friday. The poor people who sold us the car called every day. No one could tell us when the car would actually get picked up until about an hour beforehand. We got the call, it was like, “Oh we’re picking your car now.” Luckily they showed up when the dealership was open to pick the car up, which was kind of mysterious.

I just kept calling back and forth between AmeriFreight and the car dealer being doesn't know what's going to happen. That was a pain. Everyone would communicate with me but no one would communicate with each other, between AmeriFreight and the shipper and the car dealership. I was sort of left trying to wrangle information out of somebody. I spent a lot of time on the phone on hold with AmeriFreight trying to get through to somebody. I would probably try another carrier if I ever had to do this again. They were never unkind but their service was just kind of useless.

I was given a vehicle and I needed to move it fifteen hundred miles. AmeriFreight had a website and I couldn’t get a quote on the site of the other ones. Then I set it up and I thought I would have known more than two days in advance when my vehicle is going to get shipped but they didn’t explain that at first. I had to call back but then I found that out and the vehicle got shipped. The process took over a month but I gave them a large window of when to ship it. Also, I left a review on the internet the day I got the vehicle delivered. However, they've been repeatedly hounding me by email to leave more reviews for them on the internet, saying it's part of the contract. It made me not ever want to use them again but I'd probably recommend them.

After I browsed through and found good reviews on AmeriFreight, I went with them to move my vehicle from California to Massachusetts. I used their free quote option and was satisfied with it. However, I think all the conditions were not met because it was told that it will be a door to door, but I was asked to come to a nearby parking lot and said that they cannot drop my vehicle. Also, I was told that it would only take 7 to 10 days, but I think it took more than two weeks. I had to rent another vehicle and then all of my schedule was late because of that.

On the day of delivery, actually I wanted to check whether or not the scratch that I saw in my vehicle was previously there or not and the carrier driver didn’t like it. Being someone who has really paid and then having paid for extra insurance, I really wanted to check whether it was previously existing or it was made during transport. That’s the part that really put me off because when I paid for the service, there’s no problem if I look once again. He sort of thought that I’m trying to find a fault in him whereas, I was trying to see whether something happened to my vehicle or not.

I live in Alaska and I bought a vehicle that I had to ship to Maryland and after a quick review of a handful of companies, I looked at AmeriFreight which had a very high reputation and high recommendations and decided to go with them. At first, the transport organizer didn't get back to me right away so I didn't know what his schedule was but since he was in contact, he was really cordial, knowledgeable and helpful with the rest of the process and got back to me with the follow up questions I had.

I wasn't there physically when the pickup and delivery happened but the person I bought the vehicle from was the one that put it on the truck then my older sister was the one that took the delivery of it in Maryland. Both of them passed on to me that the shipping company was very nice. The truck that the moving company moved the vehicle on was clean and looked brand-new. They also delivered it ahead of schedule. Overall I would use AmeriFreight again if I ever have to ship a vehicle again.

We’re relocating cross-country. AmeriFreight's quote was a little high but I was in a time crunch. The rep I spoke to was fantastic and they got back to be in a reasonable time. They were also very willing to try to get me a better deal and they took care of everything so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The driver was super nice, very friendly and very approachable. I made a mistake on the delivery address so I called him right back immediately and he was very understanding and wasn’t rude at all. They called me so I know that the vehicle is arriving early and that I needed to meet them somewhere else. The vehicle was shipped with no problem. I’d recommend AmeriFreight.

I was getting out of the Navy and moving. Because I was going to Iowa, we also received three bids that were high. I had many offers so fast, but I used AmeriFreight’s free quote option and I got a quote that was lowball. Their transport organizer did a good job. He was fast, which was surprising. We got two quotes the same day and got another the next day. I also received a good offer from a cover carrier, which I missed out on because I was still getting out of the Navy and I couldn’t be at the pick-up point soon enough. The driver was a professional, nice guy too. We had a weird situation at pick up and drop off. At pick up, the driver was on the side of the road of a busy, almost highway area. He handled it with no problems. And then drop off was in a new construction where the address wouldn’t work because he just Googled it. But he worked with me well.

I’m relocated to a different state and I didn’t do any look around because I needed my vehicle shipped out that day. The time’s more important than price. I called different vendors but AmeriFreight is the only one who could provide the date I want. Their employee set the transaction for me and the service was good. He told me what I should look for when my car is picked up and dropped off. What I could do was to take pictures to check certain things. Then the driver gave me the call and delivered the vehicle on time. It took a week, and the vehicle is in good condition.

AmeriFreight doesn’t own own the shipping company on the West Coast. So they charged me $300 and the actual shipping company charged me $1000. They're like an agent and they charge us some amount like commission fee. Then they transfer it to a different company that is actually shipping my car from Washington state to Georgia. Maybe next time they will ship it through the a different subcontractor, but in my case, the company did a good job overall. It was smooth. The dealer is pretty good too, but if I know that company I would directly contact them because it will save me a couple of dollars.

I did some internet research and an online quote then AmeriFreight called me back and followed up with the quote. I’m a customer service guy so I appreciate calls and used them. My communication with Ally was great and she always picked up the phone. Sometimes when I called and she was on the phone, she always called me right back. She was very responsive and professional. Then the delivery was good as well. The driver called and was a little bit concerned about going into a residential area with his truck. So, I met him at a supermarket nearby which worked out great for us. The only thing was that there was a delay with the truck. I never got a call or an email about where they were. We were curious and so we called and the carrier said that the truck was stuck back east due to a hydraulic problem. Other than that, it was all worth it.
