I did a general Google ranking kind of comparisons and got AmeriFreight to ship my car when I moved. The quote I received was comparable to other quotes and a couple of phone calls with their reps were very pleasant and short. The driver was courteous and fast and I got my vehicle shipped within the timeframe. We had a good, smooth interaction and overall, it was an easy experience.

There was a need for another family member to have a vehicle in another state. So I went to BBB to investigate probable types of companies and I saw AmeriFreight there. I gave them a call and got a free quote, which pretty much subjects you to whatever charges are there. I know that they just put out a bid for people to decide, whether they want to transport it or not. It’s just telling me what probable price it may be and it pretty much came into what it was.
The organizer was always communicating back and forth with me, keeping me up to date about what was going on and also through emails if not through phone call. Depending on how I caught up with him, I was able to negotiate the process until it is completed. The carrier driver, I only saw him when he came to pick up. He was a very nice guy, very relaxed. He took the car into his hands and put it on the trailer, and then took off. I did my original review of the vehicle to make sure everything was fine and he did as well.

AmeriFreight seemed to have good reviews on their website and they look like they're on the up and up. The quote I was given was good, but we were having trouble getting the items picked up and I asked them to raise the price to get the truck here. The organizer was great and the vehicle was delivered early, about less than two weeks. The new employee that we moved the vehicle for had no complaints. I would use them again.

I used AmeriFreight in the past and my father recommended it to me. I needed to ship my car from college back home, to where I'm from. I had interactions with the organizer over the phone and email, and it was professional and straight to the point. The quote I was given was good and very fair, and I ended up paying less. The process took about four days and my interactions with the driver were very smooth. It went very well.

I had two vehicles I had to ship and I was moving from the Midwest out to Washington State. AmeriFreight had some good reviews on a lot of the sites I looked at. I also checked a couple other places and found that Amerifreight was a little bit cheaper than some of them. The final price was a little bit more, but the quote was pretty close. I talked to the person who got the transporter a few times on the phone and had a few emails. Basically, it was about three weeks out from when I needed the vehicles picked up. They explained that I wouldn't hear anything until closer to the day.
I emailed on the day before the first day of the window that I had given them, but they said they didn't have anything and they'd be in touch soon. Later that day, they had somebody for the first day of the window and everything went smoothly there. They followed up after the vehicle's been picked up and they followed up a couple of times as well.
I spoke to two different people on their end, including the driver himself. He was having some service done to his truck but he still made it out the same day, just a little later than he said. But I didn't have a problem with that and it was understandable. He is great to work with, friendly guy and I felt he did a good job. I talked to him again a couple of days before he delivered as well. The whole process took six days and I was very happy with them.

I needed to ship the vehicle from Washington, North Carolina to the same exact distance its opposite direction. I went to look for a transport company and AmeriFreight was one of the top rated ones. I chose the free quote option and the quote I got was good. The organizer was quick too. I paid what AmeriFreight quoted me and the shipping was done quick and easy.

I was moving and AmeriFreight had a good rating on the internet and gave a reasonable quote. I had to expedite the process of moving my car so I had to use the express service which I paid for extra money. Everything was okay except for a little communication problem with the trucking company’s dispatcher on the departing end. The agent told me to contact the freighter as soon as possible but the dispatcher didn’t want to take my phone call. I wanted to double check all the information but he was not too friendly and it was uncomfortable for me to talk to him. He was a little bit unprofessional. But Tommy, the driver, was a nice guy and the car made it on time. Overall, I’m happy with the experience.

In 2011, I had moved from South Carolina to Phoenix and I had used AmeriFreight at that time so I knew about them already. I was moving again to start a new job and I got them. The process took two weeks from beginning to end and the online quotes changed. I spent a week waiting for a driver and I wasn’t having any luck, so I set the guaranteed rate and I got a driver immediately and in one week, I got the car. It’s not AmeriFreight’s fault but it was the location. It was from South Carolina to Portland, Oregon, so it took a while. If the reps had told me to do the guaranteed rate earlier, that would have been more valuable.
The driver was very professional, very clear about everything and on the dot with regards to scheduling. He wanted to deliver it at a time when I would be at work but he accommodated me and came later in the evening. I’d used AmeriFreight twice and I’ve had good experiences both times so I would use them again. I would recommend them.

I was shipping a car to my son so he can use it for college. I did a little research and I saw the reviews on AmeriFreight. I cross-referenced that with the Better Business Bureau and I went with them since they had a good rating. The transport organizer was great. He called me when he got close to the house, when he was a day away and when he was two hours away. I talked to the driver when he picked the car up and he told me that he had to inspect the car and make sure there’s nothing there so I will be satisfied at the end of the trip. He gave me his cell number and I called him a couple of times to try to find out where the car was and how close he was to what he told. He would answer the phone and he was nice. I was nervous about the whole process but overall, for a first-time experience, it went well and it was excellent. They are reliable, responsible and patient.

I was moving across the country and when I searched online, AmeriFreight was one of the companies with better reviews. I called them and they gave me a quote. The organizer was very nice and helpful. If I had a question, he would answer them. Sometimes I’d be confused and then he would clarify what it meant. He called me back to let me know that the price has been finalized and made sure that I was comfortable with it. He was very reassuring. The driver was very nice and dropped off the car. I was not in town and had a friend pick it up. There weren’t any issues with the car. And if there was anything wrong, I can report it and they’ll get back to me. It was a good experience overall.

My company decided to relocate me to Indiana. So I moved from New York to Indiana and needed to ship my vehicle. AmeriFreight had good reviews online so I went with them. The quote they gave was a little bit expensive compared to other ones. But with the time that I had, I was able to get everything sorted out very quickly. The driver was very responsive. I had my vehicle shipped on Monday morning from New York and then it came here in Indiana around 11:00 the next day. Overall, my experience with AmeriFreight has been excellent.

I was moving back to my parents' house in California, so I needed to ship my car. I had read Google reviews about AmeriFreight and for the most part, they had the highest score. I got their free quote option and the quote was good. The rep was also honest about how high or low the quote would go. It turned out to be lower than the lowest part of that range. So, I was quite satisfied.
A week before the car would be picked up, I called the transport organizer about three times. He answered all of my questions that sprung up between that one-week time period. He also went over the confirmation email I was sent and he explained everything that was detailed in that email. He did a good job of taking me through the step-by-step process of confirming the moving companies too. The carrier driver told me he would be at my apartment between 9:30 and 12:00 and he came about 8:30, which was a benefit. He did the usual checklist that he had to do and it was pretty quick and efficient. The moving process took almost 14 days and it was good. And I have recommended AmeriFreight to my upstairs neighbor who was also moving out to California.

I was moving from Miami to L.A and I needed to ship my car. My friend recommended AmeriFreight because he moved from Miami to L.A. and used them too. It’s expensive but it’s comparable to other prices and maybe a little better. I asked around and everything was expensive. AmeriFreight's transport organizer helped me and she was awesome. She was also professional and courteous. My case was specific because my car was getting fixed. The dealership was taking a lot longer to fix my car because some parts were in back order so I had to put the shipping on hold. The whole process took about a month but for the delivery of the car, the transport organizer was able to get me a carrier in about two days.
The carrier driver was fine and professional too. He was a Cuban from Miami like me and he was funny. L.A. has a lot of traffic and they did a good job of keeping me updated. They would text me that it's going to be an hour and not 30 due to L.A. traffic and it worked out. They were all accommodating and it has been great. I recommend AmeriFreight to other people.

The broker said that AmeriFreight was under the Better Business Bureau. We thought the other companies may not be as reliable, so we went with AmeriFreight. Their quote was fair however, the price kept going up and it went up to the point that I couldn’t afford it anymore. So, I told the transport organizer that I didn’t want to book through him. He called me back a day or two later and he said that they could do the lower price and that felt iffy to me. But the carrier driver was very pleasant and helpful. The process took almost two weeks but that was due to my situation. I asked if the driver could hold on to it a little longer because I won’t be able to receive it.

I used their free quote option and I paid what they told me ‘cause it wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be. The organizer who was also my carrier driver was amazing. We talked a bunch before, we even hung out after, he sat on my steps and ate a bagel. I had some stuff I wanted to put in the car to bring over here and I was nervous and after I met him, I was like, "Oh he's so trustworthy. He wouldn't have stolen my stuff." My interactions with the transport organizer were great. They communicated with me before it was to be picked up. They gave me a heads-up call and then everything worked great. The carrier driver also stayed in contact with me. He came earlier and I was in California at the time so he spent the night there waiting for me to fly in the next day. I bought a vehicle in Michigan and needed to get it to New York. I went with AmeriFreight since they had a Georgia area code and I’m originally from there, and they did great. The transport organizer made sure I had a truck. He took care of the matter and got the truck quickly, when I thought we weren't going to get one. Also, the carrier driver called and gave me his time window and he called again when he was close enough to where we could meet at the end of the street that looked like a dead-end road. I chose to increase price once for convenience. The transport organizer answered every time I called and she had good answers. The carrier drivers were very cordial and nice as well. They had to wait for me to jump my car. And then, when it went to Madison, the guy jumped it for me before he got off the truck. Everything was perfectly on time. We were moving from the Boston area down to the Atlanta area, and I needed to have my wife’s car shipped the same time we were moving. The entire process took a couple of weeks because two weeks before the move, somebody I was looking to do it with originally hadn’t fallen through so I needed somebody quickly. I looked at a couple of transport companies and AmeriFreight had good reviews. They gave me a free quote and it was good. In the end, it cost me a little more money, but it was in the ballpark. They also said they could do it in the timeframe I was looking for. I used a different company to ship my mother’s car from Florida up to Boston and it was a nightmare. So I looked carefully this time and came up with AmeriFreight.
We had a tight timeframe but the transport organizer kept me up-to-date. The guy kept telling me not to worry, that they will get it there and he was right. I was a little concerned but they delivered on their promises. The vehicle was coming down to Atlanta before we’re down here and the guy who picked up the car ended up having a problem with his truck, so he was delayed a day, but he communicated all that to me so, it wasn’t an issue.

AmeriFreight was excellent. I was moving from Alabama to Hawaii and I had dealt with another company and had some serious problems. I was calling just to get quotes. And this company said, "Sure, you can just cancel. We just need your credit card number and nothing will be charged. We'll just reserve the boat." And they charged me the full $2200. I had been with them 24 hours so I asked them why they charged me and they said I was locked in and there was nothing I can do. So, they baited me. I fell for it and then I called American Express and fought really hard but American Express had to side with them. Also, when I had called to complain, they kind of threatened me.
And in that process, I realized I don't want to pay the full amount upfront. I called around. I got AmeriFreight and my broker, George, explained everything. He didn't collect any payment. He knew I was in that canceling process and went over and beyond. I went from the worst experience to the best experience. Also, AmeriFreight has one person that specifically dealt with Hawaii. And he's also straightforward and he even said, "We reserved on Matson. I'll make the reservation number but then you call and you pay them." AmeriFreight was top-notch.
The quote that they gave me was extremely reasonable and broken down and explained right. I was told, "This is the part for your shipping the car. This is for the Alabama to California. And this is our charge." So, it was very clear what the broker fee was. And I know for sure because I did the money order for the Alabama to California part. I did a credit card for Matson and the broker fee. The person who met with me on the day of delivery was excellent. George said they only use good people and he also told me what to do when I met the person. And because George explained everything, I knew exactly the cell phone number, how to contract and so, the move was very smooth and professional. It took three weeks. All in all, AmeriFreight was very straightforward and patient. They took the time to explain the process and was with me throughout the entire thing.

I was moving from California to New Orleans and so I needed my vehicle shipped from one state to the next. I researched online, found AmeriFreight and I called them. I chose them to do it for me after I initially talked to the first guy. He seemed very knowledgeable and he had a good price. However, things didn’t go as planned. It went downhill after that.
The first guy told me what was gonna happen and what he was gonna do. It didn’t happen. I never got another phone call so I kept calling ‘cause time was coming and nothing’s happening. I finally realized that he was no longer there and nobody told me that. Luckily, I got someone on the phone on a Saturday and he was very helpful. This second guy apologized for what happened and told me he’ll do what he can to make it right. He asked me if I would be willing to increase my price and explained to me that it might be the reason nobody’s taking the bait. He helped me along the way with that and once he increased it, I actually got a call. And so he kept in contact after that to make sure that everything was going smoothly and it went well.
I wasn’t available for either pick-up or delivery so I had a neighbor do the pick-up and then I had a friend’s mother do the drop off. But this second guy stayed in contact with me. My neighbors and friend’s mother stayed in contact with me through the process and the guy who had the truck stayed in contact as well. I’m very grateful to the second guy because he was the one that actually made it happen. I just wish somebody would have told me that the first guy was no longer there instead of hiding it.

Also, at the beginning, my case was assigned to Travis but he wound up leaving the company. But the second guy that they assigned me to was Ben and he was good. The carrier driver was good, polite and competent as well. My interaction with him was positive too. However, the whole process from beginning to end took several weeks. But I had a pretty flexible timeframe, so there was no severe urgency for me. And I'm relatively happy with the timing of everything.

I was relocating for a job so I needed to ship my vehicle. I looked AmeriFreight up online and they seemed to have good reports, ratings, and customer satisfaction after getting service from them. I got a free quote option and it was the best rate based on the vehicle and the timing that I needed. AmeriFreight’s transport organizer was very helpful and accommodating too. If I had questions, I was able to reach her quickly and she was very responsive in getting back as well. The carrier driver was also fine. Given the size of the truck, we had to figure out the location to meet. Once we were able to figure that out, the driver came a little later than originally expected, but it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. My vehicle arrived about five days from the time it was picked up. And I was expecting it to take seven to ten days. AmeriFreight is very consumer friendly and they provide good service.

The transport organizer was professional and courteous. He took care of everything that I needed and did everything as per requirement. The carrier driver was on time and good too. It took him about half an hour to finish loading up and then he was off. The vehicle arrived at the time the driver promised that he would deliver. It took about three days and that met my expectation.

I bought a vehicle out of state and I needed to ship it. Based on reviews, I decided to hire AmeriFreight’s services. The transport organizer organized the pickup which did not go as planned, and I'm still trying to get my refund. It wasn't necessarily AmeriFreight's fault. There was a problem at the dealership when the transporter went to pick up the vehicle. AmeriFreight didn't pay him, and I'm still trying to get my $290 back that they got from me. The process took about 10 days to complete however, it’s not over yet. I’ve been waiting for my refund for two months now but AmeriFreight has not been following through. I wish my experience would've gone a lot better.

I used another trucking company over a year ago and they were absolutely horrendous. They wouldn't tell me where they were and who could have had my car. They also said I could have my car in seven days and I didn’t have it till after two weeks. There was even an extra 1,000 miles added on to my car too and I don't know what the hell happened. That's why I switched to AmeriFreight and I've used them twice in two months.
AmeriFreight is really good and quick. The guy I spoke with, George, made it really easy. He did all the legwork and within an hour he told me that I was going to have a driver. I called them on a Wednesday and my car was picked up on a Thursday. Most companies don’t do this. Instead, they’re sitting there saying you can get it picked up on a certain day but you have to pay a little more for it. If you’re flying out, you need your car up until work and it's easier to work with when you know when you're getting it picked up so it helps. Then you go to the airport obviously the next day or that night so you're not starting to pay for the rental. AmeriFreight really accommodated me in every way that they can.
AmeriFreight went through everything and they're very reasonably rated too. The drivers were extremely nice and they also stayed in contact and that's what you would want. You would want to know where your car is. However, one of my tires had damage on it, but then it's hard when the car's on top or on the bottom and they're wheeling it in. It's common and I'll take that in a second over dealing with the horrifying experience that I had two years ago with the other freight company. They're a great, reliable company. In fact, I'm moving back to California from Connecticut in another month and I'll be using AmeriFreight again. I had a good experience and I would definitely refer them to anyone.

I was moving across and used AmeriFreight based on their reviews online. Their free quote changed throughout. The original was $900 something and it went up to $1300. I understand that they're brokers, and then the driver wanted $1000. At the same time, it's looking at the cost per unit. I would have appreciated it if was more straightforward and tell me that they would charge this amount and then the driver would need this amount. If it can be negotiated from that point, then good. Otherwise, if cannot, then that's it.

I’ve also worked with him enough that I am comfortable and confident that he'll get back to me if he can’t talk to me at the moment. I was there on the delivery day. For the day of delivery, the carrier driver was flexible and on time. He would also give a good heads up on when he would be at the location by texting about half an hour to 45 minutes beforehand so it was good and easy to connect. Besides that, the good part was the fair price and they only took four days to deliver the vehicle, from pickup to delivery, which was shorter than originally anticipated.

He was where he said he’d be there so it worked out pretty well for us.
It took about a week and a half to transport the vehicle. It could have gotten earlier if AmeriFreight wanted to, but we coordinated with them to have the drop off to be much later as we are doing cross country with three kids and we’re taking our time. I graduated and was moving to start working. Even though AmeriFreight was a little pricier, their reviews were a lot better and their service also seemed better. They were more straightforward, too. I had talked to some other people who wanted to ship my car and they were not frank about the prices or they didn't tell me what other prices cars were going for from the areas that I was shipping to. Plus, AmeriFreight is based off in Atlanta and I was shipping my car to Atlanta. They told me they could store the vehicle in case I wasn't there yet. They were great and helpful. They were accommodating to the request that I had, which was nice. They were also truthful. They told me the day they'd be picking up the car but there was a possibility that it could be another day. They told me they can't guarantee the day but they'd call me a few days before and let me know and make sure everything was all right.
I had a doctor's appointment that day that the carrier came to pick up the car. I wasn't going to be home until a little later in the morning and they waited for me. And when they came and picked up the vehicle, I asked them how long was it going to take to get to Atlanta. They told me it was going to be about a day and a half and I told them I'm not going to be there by then. I asked them if I could tell somebody to pick up the car and give them their information, and they were super nice about it. The pick-up process and the delivery process in Atlanta were very easy. Having them as carriers was the best part of the experience. They did a really great job. The car was delivered in the time frame that I had requested and was in the same condition. I was very happy. It was a quick, easy, and no hassle experience with AmeriFreight. They were reliable.

Once I got to Las Vegas, I remembered that I had talked to a lady rep at AmeriFreight prior to leaving Georgia, but only for a few minutes. The lady was nice so I called back and the process went smoothly. The carrier driver was cool. He had to pick up the car from my son's place in Georgia because I had already left, but my son told me that the pickup went well and they took pictures. We were in the process of moving from California to Colorado so we had to move a car. I had used AmeriFreight four years ago when we shipped the same car from Florida to California. The experience the first time around had been reasonable so we went the same route. I had a couple of conversations on the phone with them and we exchanged emails. Their response was prompt and it didn't take too long to get the pickup schedule. We were able to get it scheduled within the range we were looking for as well, although we were reasonably flexible on that anyway. Graham was the representative and he explained the process, what to expect and all that.
Then I talked with the carrier dispatcher three times. She called me to let me know when the driver was going to be there and she gave me a window. I talked to the driver when he was down the road, parked with my car and ready to hand it off. But I got good updates on when the vehicle was going to be there. From pickup to delivery, the process was about four days. Although it ended up costing a little bit more than the original quote, I was expecting that based on my previous experience. I'm familiar with the process so I know that they make an estimate on the quote based on what they think the market is. But at the end, it depends on what the individual carrier is able to do and on the specifics of my situation.
There's a pretty wide range of companies in terms of how reliable they are and how close to original what actually happens. I've used AmeriFreight twice and they've been consistent both times. They're very professional. They explained exactly what to expect and that's pretty much what happened. That's about as good as it gets in that business.

They sent a quote and followed up the next day, and they gave me three days to hold the quote at the same price. A couple of other companies also sent over their quotes but these were way more expensive, and we went with AmeriFreight.
The transport organizer, Ali, was very professional and really good. We didn't book the transport within the first 72 hours after we called her and we called her back a week later, but she gave us the same price that they had originally quoted. I gave them a date that I needed my car picked up, which was two weeks away from when we placed the order, and Ali called to keep me informed of when they were coming and who was going to pick the car up.
The carrier drivers were good, too. They came out for the pickup and called 30 minutes before we got there, and they went over the whole car with us. Then the driver called my wife for the delivery and told her he was going to be here in 30 minutes. We went over the car again and everything was perfect. The transport organizer was fine, except he said they could do it for one price and by the time I got the truck, I spent a lot more than I wanted to.
AmeriFreight over-promised and underachieved. Had he told me what it was going to cost me, I would've kept calling around and tried to find a lower price. But because he quoted me a nice low price, I went with them. Time went by and I was losing money until I couldn't get the trucks because he couldn't get anyone to ship them to me for the price that he told me. I ended up paying a higher price to get the trucks here so I can move on with business. It was twice as much as what I was originally quoted. Other than that, it was great and I'd recommend them. The military doesn't pay for that so I had to make my own arrangements if I wanted to get them across. AmeriFreight had good reviews when I looked them up on the internet so I went with them. The free quote was great, but it was not easy to get a shipper to go all the way across the country to a very small place, like wanting to go to Delaware, so it was understandable that the initial quote was lower than the final cost.
The whole process took about two months, but it was just a matter of getting in touch with them later. I could have contacted them later than that and had the cars shipped in the same window. The transport organizer, George, was easy to get a hold of but dealing with the carrier driver was more difficult. My particular driver got lost and he showed up late. I was moving for a job and I chose AmeriFreight to ship my two cars. Initially, they gave me a small quote of $1,050 for each car and I paid some kind of a deposit. Their agent was very nice and she managed everything. Then she told me that the roads from Vegas to Seattle are really rough and tough and the drivers were not willing to go all the way. But there was a delivery trailer truck in my area and the driver was very willing but he was asking for $1,000 more for each car. I was out of the country and I didn't have the time to argue. Also, my friend needed the car and I didn't want to bother him. So I said yes to the agent and told my friend that the carrier was coming. I ended up paying around $1,500 for each car and I can't blame AmeriFreight because their agent warned me in the beginning that the price may increase depending on the carriers.
But if AmeriFreight is sending this shipment every year across the country, they need to know exactly how much price the carriers are going to quote for. If there's a slight variation, like $100 or $150 then that can be, but $300 or $400 is too much difference between the initial quote and the final price. What I was expecting is that their quote should at least match what the driver would expect. But their reps were professional, contacted me directly and explained everything. They also gave me upfront information and were pretty good in that. All in all, it took almost two weeks to arrange the shipment and the shipping took seven days.

Everybody was very helpful and professional.
We were going to take a little bit longer to travel across the country than we had prior assumed. Since we weren’t going to be here to receive the vehicle, they said that they wouldn’t be able to store it at all and that in order to pay for the vehicle, I had to pay them a fee and then pay the driver on arrival, a cashier’s check for a certain amount. In order to eschew obfuscation and have somebody that I already knew here pick the vehicle for me, I had to pay them an extra fee in order to pay it in full. That's my only complaint. However, the carrier did not have the right trailer for my vehicle. It was a covered trailer and small for my vehicle but the carrier accepted and said they’d make it work but the driver said, “I can’t accept this because your car is going to get scratched in my trailer.” So, it was the driver who refused delivery that time. In the beginning, they told me that my vehicle would be hard to ship because it's an extra-large SUV. They told me they'd start low but it would probably increase. The rep was very upfront on what was going to happen. In the end, I let it go for so long that the price increased dramatically because they might need it to get stuff done.
The driver was coming into Houston late at night and told me that he would deliver the next morning. I told him that it was fine and he could deliver that late at night. He made it absolutely sure that I was okay with it because it ended up being two o'clock in the morning. We had great dialogues and we totally worked it out. He was very flexible. He wanted to offer me the opportunity not to stay up in the morning but having known that they've been on the road all night, I wanted to give him that. He left about 45 minutes before we took off from Reno and he dropped off my vehicle within 36 hours. They told me it might take five to six days and he communicated so great, we were able to get him there quickly.

I was moving from New York to Texas and hired AmeriFreight because they did the bidding for me and got me multiple quotes until I found the price that's right. The quote they gave me was fair. It was very comparable to what I thought it should be and was the most competitive quote I've gotten. The transport organizer was really nice. He was very prompt about calling for offers and he sent me an email summarizing everything afterwards. Then the carrier driver kept calling if there were any delays because of the weather. My car was delivered early and AmeriFreight provided great customer service. I'd use them again.

We were moving from West Coast to Florida. I researched a lot on reviews and somebody had used AmeriFreight and highly recommended them. They gave me a fair quote quickly when I called. I spoke with the coordinator a few months before I moved the automobile. I had a very tight window in which I wanted the car picked up and I was told how much lead time was needed. I called back within the window the coordinator had told me and we set it up. The timing was perfect. The transport guy that took the car was wonderful. I was there when he picked it up, and it was great. He kept me informed on the whole trip back and when he was ready to do the delivery. I had a neighbor receive it for me and the car was spotless. I’ve had some negative experiences in the past, but with AmeriFreight the experience was great. My next-door neighbor who received the car was so impressed that they're going to hire them for a car they needed to be moved.

I had to have cross-country shipping done for a classic car so it had to be special handling. Cost wasn't as important to me as the experience of handling a classic car because if I paid cheap, got it cheap and the car was damaged, it wouldn't have mattered. AmeriFreight had a good rating online and my interaction with their broker was pretty good. There was just one time when he didn't follow up on pickup, so the dealer was there and he wasn't. Although the broker could have done better in communicating the status because they missed a day on the pickup and the shipper was inconvenienced, that happens a lot in trucking. After that, he communicated fine.

We were moving and had AmeriFreight ship two cars. I read the reviews online and the quote was reasonable so I went with them. However, I actually ended up paying twice as much as I was quoted. The cars couldn't be picked up in the time frame that we wanted. And so, we had to increase our quote significantly. And then, the cars ended up getting here. We weren't even here to receive them. So, the timing was not ideal. I have told the organizer to set everything up a few weeks in advance thinking that that would make it easier to actually get our cars picked up in a timely manner. And I didn't really hear from them in those weeks, leading up to the five-day window that we had provided. And so, I called the Friday before the five-day window started and I was told not to worry. There'd be a lot more action once the actual period had started.
Monday came along, I didn't hear anything. I called in just to make sure, they told me, "No, it's the first day. Not to worry." So then, I gave it another day. I called back on Wednesday. I had a hard time getting a hold of the organizer, 'cause he kept going in and out of meetings. And I didn't actually get to talk to him until Thursday. I was told he'd call me back when he got out. So, it was just a lot of back and forth. It's not a great communication. We ended up raising our claim along that Thursday a few hundred and then, continued to increase until I told them my max. And then, we waited for somebody to take our offer.
It didn't happen until five days after the original window had closed. We were told that it would take two days to ship. And at that point, we were just happy to get it to Texas. So, we just took whatever we got. The driver picked them up 12 hours later than he said he was going to. But he still made it up somehow in that actual change of time. We'd already moved from Florida to Dallas when the cars got picked up in Florida. I had a friend who I left my keys with. And they dropped off the car. Then the time the cars got to Dallas, we were in Florida 'cause I had to go back for a graduation, like a two-day thing. Fortunately, I have a sister that lives in Dallas and who was able to receive the cars.
Our biggest gripe was with the transparency of it all. The communication wasn't as good as we would have hoped for. But I know they are busy on the other end. It's just that it’s a big deal to us and it cost on me. It was tough when we didn't know what was going on and we were just waiting to figure it out. But the cars got delivered and they are in good condition. I can't say that the service was bad just that the process of getting them was different than we anticipated. It was not as pleasant as we had hoped. It was actually a difficult experience.

We just wanted to ship our vehicle and not have to worry about driving it. My two daughters are in the business and they both said AmeriFreight is a good company. Their companies have used them on different times so I tried AmeriFreight. I talked to somebody and I explained to him what I wanted to transport and where I was transporting it to and from. They quoted me the provisional price and they would know more when they had the trucker. There was one little hiccup when I was talking to the organizer. I might have misunderstood him, but he said that the trucker would be here on next day. About an hour later, the trucker called me and said he was parked out front and ready to unload. But other than that, everything worked out fine.

I needed to ship a used car that I had bought online. AmeriFreight's website looked like AmeriFreight was a stand-alone independent company and wasn't a feeder. I shipped a car before and I got calls from about 10 different movers. Other websites aren’t really moving companies but logistics ones. You fill out a request for estimates and they'll send out that request to a bunch of shippers. And then they'll get ahold of you and try to sell you.
When I called AmeriFreight, somebody picked up the phone and it was somebody obviously who was gonna be doing the job. The guy was describing what he was gonna do. The carrier driver was also very good. I was out of town and had my neighbor with the money. So, the driver kept in touch with me and kept me updated on the time when he was gonna be there for the delivery.

I also looked around and their quote was the lowest one available. Then the final price was still lower than any other quotes I received.
Everything was through the phone and email with the transport organizer. She kept me up-to-date with everything, any forms that I had to fill out, the ones I sent, and she checked it right away and was able to tell me if there are any issues with them. I was able to get everything done in the timeframe I had. I needed the car shipped that same week that I looked for a quote, and they were able to find me a company that left on a Friday, so it was good. I was moving and instead of driving the car from West Coast to East Coast with a huge parrot and a dog, it made more sense to ship it. I’m shipping my items with a moving company, so I might as well ship my Honda Element and then fly over, which is much easier for my age. AmeriFreight has good reviews online so I got a quote and the price was reasonable for the distance I was shipping it. I had a good estimate on how much it would cost to go cross country prior to shipping the car since I had it shipped to Monterey, California from where I bought it in Texas.
I told AmeriFreight’s organizer what I wanted and where I was going. He found a company that would take my car across within the quote he gave me and provided me with the company’s name and the date. The driver contacted me a couple of days before I was going to pick up the car to let me know that he’d be there on the date he had stated. Unfortunately, the driver who picked up the car had once picked up a vehicle at someone’s house in Pacific Grove and due to his other experience, he didn’t want to pick up the car in front of my house. Pacific Grove has streets that even my Element doesn’t like. They can be very narrow and nasty, little streets and he thought Monterrey was the same. My street’s really wide and if I go down the hill, I’m by the freeway. But I ended up meeting him in front of Home Depot. He was there on time, put the car and then offloaded it at my house.
The driver was so nice and very careful with my car. I watched him offload a couple of cars to get to mine. He was very meticulous in what he was doing and it was nice to see that. The car was delivered within the time frame and the driver communicated with me. If I had any questions, I always had his cell number available. It worked out well. AmeriFreight was very efficient and professional. From what was said to price and dates, what they offered and said is exactly what I got. They have good communication and follow through.

They quoted me a price that was under my budget by $150 and that was fine, but when they found someone to deliver the car, they increased the price by 30%. Their excuse was I was given false information by their new staff member, but I had called and spoken to the manager before I’d gotten that price and he never mentioned anything about it when he reviewed my file. It was the worst customer service I ever had.
They tried to blame me that I should have known that when they give a price quote, it's just an estimate. Usually, when people quote something, they quote a little high, not a little low so that it doesn't become a problem. They quoted me $830 and then they were asking me to pay $1,140. My work paid for it, but I had to pay the difference. My budget was $1000 and AmeriFreight was aware of that. I cried on the phone before they decided they were going to help me. He also got quotes from other companies and they were all over $2,000. So I thought AmeriFreight's price for taking my car cross-country was reasonable and very fair. My transport organizer, Allie, was extremely helpful with the process and always responded to me in anything that came up, so I was very pleased with her help. And when she wasn't available, somebody else got in touch with me.

I needed to get a vehicle transported that I bought at an auction. AmeriFreight helped me a lot down in Houston and I’m in Atlanta. I dealt with another one first. I honestly don’t remember the original website and I understand how the load boards work and I got calls, quotes and emails from several companies and the one that I chose said they could do it for a certain rate and they ended up not being able to do it. They didn’t have any booked and so I ended up leaving and pulling it from that company. I went back online and I went to a website specifically for vehicle movers and ratings and AmeriFreight was ranked one of the highest over several years and then in the most recent year. I compared and saw that they had a consistent track record. Plus, they were local here in Atlanta.
The quote was good. It was the same with the other company but they gave me a firm quote and guaranteed that it could be picked up before they gave me the final price and I liked that. The transport organizer was a young guy but he was very good. I was frustrated with the other company because they get you hooked and then they start creeping the price up. AmeriFreight and this guy did not do that. They simply said they will find a driver that will do this for the rate we’re looking at or trying for. Then they’ll call when they find one. And they did and were very helpful in answering questions.
The driver and I had a very brief but professional interaction on the day of the delivery. They were almost finished unloading it by the time I saw them, and they were gone. I paid them and shook hands. They were polite and everything went great. It took less than 24 hours from pick-up to drop-off. It was booked the day before, they picked up on Monday and then delivered on Tuesday, 20 hours later. I appreciate that they were very honest, upfront and didn’t try to get me locked in before they had everything firmed up. There was no runaround like I had with the first company. They did a great job and they were professional, friendly and easy to work with.

And I don't trust a lot of the drivers on the road so I'd rather have the vehicle be safely strapped to a trailer. I looked at a lot of the websites, reviews and overall ratings and found that AmeriFreight was the highest recommended company. Also, I got a few quotes from four different companies and AmeriFreight was $15 more than a different company but I liked their rep's attitude more than I liked the other company.
Their transport organizer was also very nice. He and the company AmeriFreight used to transport the vehicle were very easy to deal with. They gave us updates when we called them. It only took a few days for them to pick the vehicle up, and four days for them to deliver it. However, they were a little late picking it up but they were on time delivering. I definitely felt like I had the wool slightly pulled over my eyes, which was unfortunate. Their rep said that the quote they give online was the barest minimum they can offer, but it would often take a really long time to find some carrier that's absolutely needing to fill one last spot on the truck and would accept the original quote. Other than that, he was professional and he got back to me in a reasonable amount of time.
The actual process from pick up to delivery was a day earlier than what they originally said and the carrier driver was very business-like. My truck was the first one off the truck and he still had a bunch of stuff to get to in a day, but he wasn't discourteous and he got it off his carrier very quickly without damaging anything. I moved cross-country and AmeriFreight came highly recommended. But it turns out they screw their customers into doing reviews for them, so those reviews aren't entirely accurate. They suck. The free quote was absolutely incorrect and inaccurate. I was quoted $1,300 and it ended up costing us $2,700 to ship my car. The entire process took about two months. The first person I had talked to was really rude so I asked to be transferred to another person. She quoted me the same $1,300 and told me that my car would be picked up by a certain date and that it would be okay but I hadn't heard from them the next few days.
I talked to them again and they said, "Okay, well, to get specific shipping dates, you have to pay a little bit more, like $1,500." And I agreed because I have to have it shipped. We're leaving my old place and moving across country so it has to be done. Then they came back and said they have a vendor who is willing to ship it for me but they want $2,000 so I have to pay another $500 on top of it. I'm in a pickle because they have me under contract, that once you get a quote and they find a shipper, you have to ship with them. I couldn't back out of it.
The car gets here a day before it was supposed to so luckily, we arrived at our destination a day early. Otherwise, my car would be sitting in a yard somewhere not being able to be picked up. Upon arrival, they wanted another extra $300 for COD and we don't have a bank out here. Our bank is on the East Coast and we had to do all these hoops and jumps. We were sending the vehicle to our son who's in the military. I had done some basic Google searches and read reviews of AmeriFreight and their reviews tend to be a little more positive than a lot of few of the other service providers. I got their free quote and it was on a par with another quote that I got so it was very competitive. I printed out a filler to another company but it took them four days to get back to me with an email response and I found that unacceptable. A big thing that we look for is responsiveness to queries. So, Jorge from AmeriFreight was my handler. He got back to me straight away and was responsive both in email and in phone calls.
On the other hand, I was a little bit taken aback because I didn't immediately understand that AmeriFreight is a broker. That they're dealing exclusively with subcontractors because when they did identify who the actual carrier company was, I went and looked up the carrier company. And the reviews for the carrier company were less than stellar. But when I contacted AmeriFreight back, he assured me effectively that the freight carrier themselves had undergone management changes and they were much more solid than the year old reviews had indicated.
He swayed some of my concerns and then when I got a chance to meet the actual carrier, they seemed good to go. I was happy to see that the carrier I met was the single driver that was going to take the vehicle from pickup to meet to deliver to my son and that there weren't any intermediate shippers. The carrier driver did a good job of staying in touch via cell phone as he was making his way. We met briefly at a local shopping mall because I knew that that would be easier for him to maneuver his transport carrier. He had everything he needed and all the paperwork was in order. We did a quick walk-around of the vehicle and as soon as we completed the walk-around, he gave me my copy of our documentation and he bid me adieu.
The delivery window they gave us was something in the neighborhood of seven to ten days since we were going out to California. The vehicle was delivered to my son on time, right within the window, and there were no delays. They had my son's contact information to make arrangements for the pickup. There were no issues with the vehicle and no hidden fees or request for anything. The whole experience went well.

I finally talked to a friend of mine that has transported vehicles in the past and he recommended AmeriFreight to me. I thought that the industry as a whole was really bizarre. I’m very much a plan-it, know-what-you’re-gonna-pay-and-be-ready-to-go but I understood they put the move up on the board and folks had to bid on the pick-up and the delivery. It’s difficult to lock down a price, and in the end, the price went up a little bit. It was also very difficult to schedule as I can’t control the driver and the demand so it ended up being last minute. I was in Florida and it was the last day before we leave. I was getting ready to have to drive back then they got a hold of me and said that they found a driver so it worked out.
The transport organizer did a good job at keeping me informed and explaining the process as I was new to it. Then my son met the carrier driver in Florida for about five minutes during pick-up. He did a good job once he started getting closer and kept me posted. He ended up showing up a couple of hours early and unfortunately, I had to make him wait a little while. He walked around the car, I handed him his money, signed the document, and off he went. The total process took six days. My expectation fell in the window. It would be very difficult if I was moving my whole family and need to know those dates exactly but otherwise, I think they did a very good job with explaining all that. It might not have been what I wanted to hear but they explained it. AmeriFreight was perfectly adequate.

From step one, Allie, the transport organizer, was very friendly and helpful in getting all of our locations and timing, as far as when we're going and when we would need to pick the vehicle up. She checked back with us several times before, during and after the process to make sure everything is going smoothly.
She also gave us an estimate prior to contacting the third party that was going to be doing the move. It was $850 which was almost $2,000 below anyone else. She explained that it would go up just depending on who their driver was going to be. The driver usually asks for a certain range of price after that. But even with that price, it beat everybody else. The interaction we had with the carrier was perfect, as well. His English was a little rough but he was very friendly. They would probably be the only vendor that I would go with at this point. Their customer service was so on point and very helpful in terms of the quote. There were other people who had better rates but sometimes it's about the customer service and about the fact that I wanted to be sure my car gets here. Jorge was very responsive, ensured that I was informed, and gave really great follow-ups. Also, the third party who picked up my vehicle gave great customer service as well.

I live in Japan and my husband and I are returning back to United States. We purchased a car from somebody who lives in the Chicago area and had it shipped to Virginia where my mother is because we're going to be living there. AmeriFreight was more expensive but had good reviews and so we used them. It was about a $100 more than what they quoted me.
They were originally smooth, and their hours were better than most companies. There's a 13-hour difference in Japan and US and they were open till 7:00 at night which was helpful. They sent me a quote and gave me a military discount. They took $30 bucks off and upfront said it will be $600. Then I called about a month and a half before our actual move hopefully thinking that would give them some time to find a transport company to move the vehicle. It wasn't until the day of the move, I gave them a window and at the beginning of that window, I started hearing anything from them.
I tried to tell the transport guy many times to keep in mind that I'm not going to get his call at 2:00 AM. So, if I do not sit by my phone, it doesn't really ring and I have to see it. I was in Hiroshima and received seven calls in the middle of the night. I happened to notice the guy's call on the way to the airport and I called him back. He told me that he has a company that wanted to move my vehicle for $900 which was $300 more than what he told me he can move it for. I said, "Absolutely not." AmeriFreight was already $100 more than others but I told him I went with them because of the good reviews. Then he asked me what highest I would go, and I told him 700.
Then when I was sleeping again, he was drastically trying to call at 3:00 in the morning to tell me that company had agreed and they were going to move it for $700. By the time I got the call and called back, they had already picked up the car before I could say yes. I wasn't happy that they didn't even contact me. He took my yes as I don't want to go any higher than $700. To me, a yes is they’d call back and get a hold of me then pick up the vehicle. So, all that was a little frustrating and I didn't even get to send my mother the money. She had to pay for it out-of-pocket so I had to wire her the money. That's why I made the arrangements early so nothing would have to be last second.
As soon as I got back from Hiroshima, I called my mother and she said that AmeriFreight already dropped the car off there. The van must have been right there and they just wanted to take the car right then. And then, my mom moved it from Chicago to Virginia in a day and a half. It was fast right there, but what if my mom didn't have that amount. They would really put her in a bad situation.
I believe that once I said $700, the guy called my mom back and said that I'll do it for that amount. I almost felt like it was a gimmick because $900 was so high. I moved a car across the country several years from California to Georgia and it was only $700 and it was an oversized vehicle. I think I overpaid to have my vehicle moved significantly. My mom wasn't upset about it and the van made it there safely. I'm thankful for AmeriFreight that they were willing to work this out with me living in Japan. Bottom line, I still got my car so that's really what matters.
They're a reputable company and I always felt safe that they will take care of my car. They were always professional and polite when I speak to them. They were very upfront about their policies and procedures and I felt like they were not going to steal my money from me or if I gave them my credit card. I think they could just have a little bit of training about working with people in different time zones and across the world and provide good service to be a worldwide company.
I have about 50 friends who are moving back to the United States who need vehicles moved to different parts of the country. They're going to have more people calling them from overseas and what matters to me is that I want somebody who has good ratings and reviews, and that's who I'm going to go with because I live so far away

I was relocating to the West Coast. I called a couple of transport companies and looked at where they have results. Then I started researching good reviews of car transport companies and AmeriFreight came up numerous times. They shipped within the military and a lot of military people used them so they're good and then I trusted them. Their quote was a little bit lower than other companies and they don't use a carrier.
It was a learning experience for me because I had never transported a car like this. I never knew that 99.9% of the people use a brokerage company and it goes out in national board and they look at who's going to where and who wants to take the car at that price. I thought everyone would be in the same price range but some people wouldn't pick it up because it wasn't high enough that could do the transporting.
The transport organizer, Ali, walked me through step-by-step and she said that the closer I get to the move date, I may have to increase the price. So, she suggested that we put them out earlier than the move date which turned out to be good for us because we got so many to transport them. Ali kept me apprised of every step along the way prior to picking the car up and explained everything in great detail.
The guy picked it up on a Saturday and delivered it that following Friday. He was very pleasant and nice because I was still in Georgia and my mom and niece met him. He was really good 'cause neither one of them could drive a four-speed because it's a classic car so he drove it back. The whole thing was very smooth and the car arrived safely. It was good communication all the way through, easy and efficient transaction.

I was moving and I needed to ship my vehicle. First, I chose a company which was a lot cheaper and then they flaked out on me. They didn't get me a driver for three weeks and my plane was leaving. I called the day before and canceled them yet they still charged me the broker fee. Then, I saw a good review of AmeriFreight and called them. The first person I talked to was super helpful and then I ended up working with somebody else. Also, their transport organizer, Travis, was super professional. I tell him one thing one-time and it will be done. I don't have to keep calling him. Their carrier driver was great too. I had to coordinate with him as my friend was picking up my car because AmeriFrieght could not take it all the way to the town I was in.
And then, the payment got messed up because I opened up a new bank account and they wouldn't clear my check. Still, it all worked out. They charged a lot but they told me ahead of time and they ran my credit card at the last minute so that's super helpful. Overall, my experience with AmeriFreight was great. They are not cheap by any means but they get the job done with no hassle.

I purchased a vehicle and I needed it shipped. I chose AmeriFreight primarily because of the ratings they had online. The quote was inexpensive and cost-effective. I had received quotes to have the vehicle driven and those were almost double the price that AmeriFreight offered. But their quote originally was not sufficient for the pickup so I raised it on my choice since I wanted the shipping in a quick amount of time. Also, the location in which I was picking up and delivering to are not traditional routes.
I contacted the rep through email and spoke with him several times on the phone. AmeriFreight gave me the contact number of the owner of the carrier company once the job was expected. I was glad I contacted the owner because I was originally told the car would be delivered on Thursday and it was actually supposed to be delivered on Tuesday just because he could pick it up and drop it off more quickly. I don’t know if there was a communication breakdown between them.
The owner was awesome and contacted his driver to verify and call me back. The driver called me at 9:00 am and told me he was going to deliver at 5:00. He contacted me when he was leaving, an hour and a half away, and he was willing to meet me wherever I needed to meet with him and take delivery. The experience was simple and easy. I had not shipped a vehicle before but it was definitely worth the time of having them handle and ship it. I was satisfied.

I was moving so I needed to ship my car from Orange County, California all the way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I've used AmeriFreight before. Three years ago I shipped the same car from Cleveland, Ohio to Orange County, California and I like their service. The quote was also very reasonable. It was actually about $100 cheaper than three years ago. It's almost the same distance and I was imagining part of the price would go up a little bit. So I was surprised. I think I got a very good price. Plus, they gave me $50 back because I'm a return customer.
I talked to George back and forth by email and by phone. He was very courteous and he always reached out to me. So, I'm very satisfied. Then the driver actually arrived earlier but he called me and said he couldn't wait for me. I told him he should have told me he'll be there at ten o'clock and not just call me at nine o'clock and say he only has ten minutes. That's very inconvenient. From the time I contacted AmeriFreight, the process took about one month. But I got the car within a week and that's pretty fast. Their service had been professional and I really like AmeriFreight.

I was new to this and I assumed AmeriFreight must be a good company. Since I was also busy at that time and I had to get my car shipped at a certain time period, I did not check on other companies anymore and trusted AmeriFreight.
They gave me a lower quote but I ended up paying higher. They told me upfront about it but I didn’t realize it was much higher. The head person who organized the shipping schedule was great. He’s very professional and good to work with. He communicated everything to me very well, kept me up to date, and followed through afterwards. Also, the driver was professional and on time. He was very fast and he delivered the car in 4 days. I thought it was going to take him more than that. AmeriFreight offers good service. They care about their customers as well. However, given the higher price, I'd probably not choose them in the future. I would also not recommend them if money was a problem.

I was given a reasonable quote and AmeriFreight outsourced my car, shopped around and told me the best quote and driver. I told them when and where I needed the vehicle to be able to pick up and he had met all the timelines that I needed. From beginning to end, the process took 14 days. It was pretty quick once I gave our estimated day. I also filed a couple of days early and wanted to see if the vehicle could be picked up early which I agreed to. AmeriFreight was great, very professional, and treated me very well. But the company that shipped my car scratched it and I just gave up on it. AmeriFreight gave me the lowest quote for shipping my cars. However, after talking to the organizer a few times concerning the details, the price ended up being much more than what was initially quoted. They explained that the quote is what they put it out for if they don’t get anyone to respond. And that these are the bids that people came back with so it’s up to the customer to either accept or reject it. They can’t guarantee that that’s gonna be the amount.
I don’t mind. I went on and did it and then they picked up as scheduled. The carrier driver met us at a parking lot, loaded the cars, no issues. But I think they delivered in two or three days instead of the seven to 10 that I was quoted so I had scramble to arrange for somebody to meet them on the other end to receive the cars. He pretty much picked up and delivered straight there. Had I known that, I would have had a later pick-up date. Also, it would just be great to have more clarity of pricing at the front end. I selected them for being the lowest bidder. I ended up paying as much or more than what the other folks quoted. That will be a little more disclaimer on that.

Then he found AmeriFreight and the ratings were really high. My dad thought he’d give them a shot and everything was so amazing. The people were very upfront about how everything worked, getting the car out, and what the realistic cost is. So when I took care of shipping the car back to California I chose them again.
I first made the call to AmeriFreight to get a bid then I got the car locked into a deal two days later so it was really fast to get the bid picked up. The transport organizer, George, was really easy to get a hold of. There was some confusion with when the contractor was coming and didn’t contact him or us to say that they were coming a day later. We called George and he said he’d take care of it. Pretty much immediately after we hung up, the contractor called. So, their personnel was really awesome and on top of everything. Then it took about five days on the trip before it was delivered to my dad. It was a very quick and easy process. AmeriFreight is a quick talking shipping broker that uses subpar shippers. I had four vans in Florida that I purchased that I needed to bring out to Georgia. AmeriFreight was locally based, then I find out that they were just a broker. I hate auto brokers, but unfortunately, I got stuck with yet another one. The quote they gave me was fair until they jacked the price up about $300 a vehicle when it came time to actually get the vehicles shipped. I know how the shipping industry works. Usually, you start out at certain amount and kind of pad it a little bit as you go to see if you can get a traction on it. But about seven days into it, they went from a certain price to another certain price.
I also wasn't really pleased with AmeriFreight in general because the first driver that showed up to take my stuff up refused to pick it up because AmeriFreight didn't share the details of the shipment with their company. Then, in the process of that, he dropped one of my vehicles off the trailer, damaging it which I received zero compensation for, other than more time loss and more money for repairs. Though their reps were easy to get a hold of and they conducted themselves fine, we had some stressful conversation back and forth. But the actual carrier that brought the vehicles to me was great. If no trucker takes the bid then I have to continue increasing what I'm willing to pay until someone takes the job. The actual amount that I paid wasn’t outrageous but it was certainly more than what we started with. The bidding process at the beginning took about a week but then once the vehicle was picked up, it was four days to drop off so it was quick.
Overall, the system as it’s designed worked well and the company representatives did a great a job. I talked to the transport organizer several times and he was very responsive. He described the whole process and did a good job. The carrier driver was polite and more or less on time. We were given two days window for pick up and two days window for delivery, but it was a little bit difficult trying to coordinate a lot of other pieces of the move to time it. We were also driving across the country so the biggest issue was the delivery since the driver wanted to deliver when he wanted to deliver and when it's convenient for him. Nonetheless, AmeriFreight has been professional and efficient.

I was moving and I used AmeriFreight because of their reviews and the price. They gave me a reasonable and very competitive quote for enclosing my vehicle. It was a good value. The transport organizers helped me set my expectations around the pick up and drop off and they facilitated the whole process well. The carrier driver was very friendly and took very good care of the vehicle. He is also punctual and he gave me a call beforehand and whenever I called him, he would answer. AmeriFreight made a promise around delivering the service and they followed through. It was very seamless and straightforward. Everyone was friendly and timely so I was happy with the service.

I was given a vehicle and I needed to move it fifteen hundred miles. AmeriFreight had a website and I couldn’t get a quote on the site of the other ones. Then I set it up and I thought I would have known more than two days in advance when my vehicle is going to get shipped but they didn’t explain that at first. I had to call back but then I found that out and the vehicle got shipped. The process took over a month but I gave them a large window of when to ship it. Also, I left a review on the internet the day I got the vehicle delivered. However, they've been repeatedly hounding me by email to leave more reviews for them on the internet, saying it's part of the contract. It made me not ever want to use them again but I'd probably recommend them.

I bought an out-of-state used vehicle and I needed to move it across the country. I read good reviews on AmeriFreight, and went with them. Instead of using their free quote option, I worked with an agent and who got a shipping company for us. However, the quote we got it wasn’t accurate, and ended up way less than the cost. I said wanted service quickly, and that I was willing to pay a little more but in the end, it took just as long. While my transport organizer was utterly lovely to talk to and very nice, I didn’t often feel like I got great advice. He was really hard to get a hold of and would call me back at a time that is not great. I would ask something because I don’t know anything about this and he would advise in terms of waiting or upping the price, and said “Oh, I don’t know. You can do either.”
I've also had two interactions with the carrier driver. One, to check and make sure we had each other’s phone numbers and then one, to set a pick-up. The only thing I didn’t expect but totally made sense was that, because our vehicle was on such a massive truck, they couldn’t actually come into our neighborhood. I ended up having to drive 30 minutes out of town to a jammed parking lot where they could pull the truck in. They had said it was door to door, but that wasn’t actually accurate. I it took about a week from when we first called them until we got the car. It was coming from New York to California so I can imagine driving it any faster than that.
Once AmeriFreight had said they had secured a driver, there was a week between then and when they could actually pick-up, but we weren’t told that. They were like, “Oh we can pick-up as soon as the car is ready.” The car was ready on a Monday but I don’t think they picked up until Friday. The poor people who sold us the car called every day. No one could tell us when the car would actually get picked up until about an hour beforehand. We got the call, it was like, “Oh we’re picking your car now.” Luckily they showed up when the dealership was open to pick the car up, which was kind of mysterious.
I just kept calling back and forth between AmeriFreight and the car dealer being doesn't know what's going to happen. That was a pain. Everyone would communicate with me but no one would communicate with each other, between AmeriFreight and the shipper and the car dealership. I was sort of left trying to wrangle information out of somebody. I spent a lot of time on the phone on hold with AmeriFreight trying to get through to somebody. I would probably try another carrier if I ever had to do this again. They were never unkind but their service was just kind of useless.

After I browsed through and found good reviews on AmeriFreight, I went with them to move my vehicle from California to Massachusetts. I used their free quote option and was satisfied with it. However, I think all the conditions were not met because it was told that it will be a door to door, but I was asked to come to a nearby parking lot and said that they cannot drop my vehicle. Also, I was told that it would only take 7 to 10 days, but I think it took more than two weeks. I had to rent another vehicle and then all of my schedule was late because of that.
On the day of delivery, actually I wanted to check whether or not the scratch that I saw in my vehicle was previously there or not and the carrier driver didn’t like it. Being someone who has really paid and then having paid for extra insurance, I really wanted to check whether it was previously existing or it was made during transport. That’s the part that really put me off because when I paid for the service, there’s no problem if I look once again. He sort of thought that I’m trying to find a fault in him whereas, I was trying to see whether something happened to my vehicle or not.

I live in Alaska and I bought a vehicle that I had to ship to Maryland and after a quick review of a handful of companies, I looked at AmeriFreight which had a very high reputation and high recommendations and decided to go with them. At first, the transport organizer didn't get back to me right away so I didn't know what his schedule was but since he was in contact, he was really cordial, knowledgeable and helpful with the rest of the process and got back to me with the follow up questions I had.
I wasn't there physically when the pickup and delivery happened but the person I bought the vehicle from was the one that put it on the truck then my older sister was the one that took the delivery of it in Maryland. Both of them passed on to me that the shipping company was very nice. The truck that the moving company moved the vehicle on was clean and looked brand-new. They also delivered it ahead of schedule. Overall I would use AmeriFreight again if I ever have to ship a vehicle again.

I made a mistake on the delivery address so I called him right back immediately and he was very understanding and wasn’t rude at all. They called me so I know that the vehicle is arriving early and that I needed to meet them somewhere else. The vehicle was shipped with no problem. I’d recommend AmeriFreight.

I had many offers so fast, but I used AmeriFreight’s free quote option and I got a quote that was lowball. Their transport organizer did a good job. He was fast, which was surprising. We got two quotes the same day and got another the next day. I also received a good offer from a cover carrier, which I missed out on because I was still getting out of the Navy and I couldn’t be at the pick-up point soon enough. The driver was a professional, nice guy too. We had a weird situation at pick up and drop off. At pick up, the driver was on the side of the road of a busy, almost highway area. He handled it with no problems. And then drop off was in a new construction where the address wouldn’t work because he just Googled it. But he worked with me well.

I’m relocated to a different state and I didn’t do any look around because I needed my vehicle shipped out that day. The time’s more important than price. I called different vendors but AmeriFreight is the only one who could provide the date I want. Their employee set the transaction for me and the service was good. He told me what I should look for when my car is picked up and dropped off. What I could do was to take pictures to check certain things. Then the driver gave me the call and delivered the vehicle on time. It took a week, and the vehicle is in good condition.
AmeriFreight doesn’t own own the shipping company on the West Coast. So they charged me $300 and the actual shipping company charged me $1000. They're like an agent and they charge us some amount like commission fee. Then they transfer it to a different company that is actually shipping my car from Washington state to Georgia. Maybe next time they will ship it through the a different subcontractor, but in my case, the company did a good job overall. It was smooth. The dealer is pretty good too, but if I know that company I would directly contact them because it will save me a couple of dollars.

Then the delivery was good as well. The driver called and was a little bit concerned about going into a residential area with his truck. So, I met him at a supermarket nearby which worked out great for us. The only thing was that there was a delay with the truck. I never got a call or an email about where they were. His price is also lower than the other ones that I had checked. I made several phone calls before he found the driver or the shipping company. It took a couple days longer for him to find them.
I had to meet the driver several blocks away because he was concerned about the little hanging branches but that was not a problem. He used a 2-tier closed truck and he didn't have the ramp all the way down. When he was backing the car off the truck, he didn't have the ramp down all the way at the angle and it ripped off the exhaust of my vehicle. We used AmeriFreight as my uncle had used them before, and the quote they gave me was good. It was $800 and I ended up paying about $850, but it's better than the other places who were trying to charge me about $1100.
Though the driver didn't really seem to know much English, my interactions with him were pretty cool. He called to tell me he was about an hour away from the delivery. He couldn't drive the rig in here so he parked a block away from my house. I came down from work waiting for him and expecting to hear a call saying, "Hey, come over here to come pick up your car because I can't fit in there." But then I see the car pull up in the driveway. He drove the car from the field over to my house which was really good. I read the reviews on them before I even chose to go with them. And I read this thing on the internet saying don't always necessarily go with the lower price because you get what you pay for. I relocated out of state so I needed to get the car there. The rep from AmeriFreight that I talked to was very forthcoming with how they worked and what to expect. For me, it was important that they set some expectations of what I was about to experience as I'd never gone through that before. Ultimately, it was his honesty that made me choose AmeriFreight. The competition is ruthless. As soon as the car went on the board to look for a transporter, all their competitors did was call and rip on their service. They made it feel uncertain that the low quote would piss off the truckers and that we should go with them if we really wanted it shipped. So I called my guy and he made me feel at ease about it.
He stayed in contact with me and was super helpful. However, we did not ship it at the original quoted price, though he had broken down the process for me and set some expectations that the price may change based on statistics. That was huge for me because any clientele would appreciate that type of transparency. The car came from my parents and my father is 81 years old and the driver was super nice and thoughtful to him. He couldn't get the truck up near our house so my father took the truck down there and the driver drove him back which he really appreciated. Then when he showed up, it was a day late. He had some truck issues but he called to let me know that and was super nice when he got there.
I contacted Amerifreight because they were highly rated on the reviews and I just went down to the top three and my experience with the other two would be I would never use them. After I told him that wasn't going to happen, he eventually agreed to come close to where we live but he parked a mile away and so we walked to go meet him at his truck. We found out when he called that he got tired of waiting, so he drove the vehicle over to our house where I paid to have it delivered. I had to walk another mile back to get my girlfriend's car. They will even charge you a 8.75% admin fee when using a CC at time of delivery. From what I've read about them, their rates most likely will be the highest around. Apart from that, the organizer was very good and my interaction with the carrier driver was fair but the communication between the driver and us was not that good. The carrier driver was great. He was running behind but that wasn’t a problem with us. We’re trying to get the car out there for my son to have it so there wasn’t a real strict deadline. He communicated each of his delays in which I was very appreciative. He also had to pick up the car a day or two after what was promised. And in that day, he was pretty late, but he kept communicating why. He called and then we started texting and he kept us up to date. They gave me the clarity of what I needed to do, how the process worked, and what the timing would be. Overall, I was very satisfied with AmeriFreight.

The quote I got from AmeriFreight was good. It was a little different than what we actually paid just because the circumstances changed a little bit, but it didn’t bother me. We were moving across the country and AmeriFreight was referred to us by somebody we knew. I called them and talked to Ben. He was really helpful and found us one truck company, but it didn’t work for us. So then he quickly found another one for cheaper. So, that was really awesome. Then our driver was super nice, friendly, professional, awesome and kept us informed the whole time. He called us a day ahead of time and met us when it was convenient for us. We got there and he asked us the pickup place to meet. He took care of everything.

AmeriFreight said they could give me a certain deal at a lowered price, but they really couldn't. They drew me in with a little price and then I ended up having to pay quite a bit more when using them. But, the guy I worked with was very nice and personable. He had a good personality and gave good customer service.

I purchased a vehicle in Texas. It’s low mileage and it’s got the 351 motor in it, an E40D drive and a beautiful color, red and silver. I put a request out there for somebody to ship the vehicle and AmeriFreight was the only one that could handle it. It was hard trying to find somebody that would take the vehicle up the carrier and we had to wait for two weeks. We had to find somebody that was going to be in the area, pick it up and he had to load his trailer up with stuff and then when it was ready, they were going to come out and move it. Other than that, the organizer from Delaware was very polite and he handled everything very well.

I got out of the navy and moved cross-country. AmeriFreight was the highest rated company that came up during my google search so I used them. I did the free quote option however, it was a little confusing. There were two types of quotes, one was for the cheapest way while the other quote was for when you need it by a certain date type of price. They didn’t mention that so I was led to believe I was only paying X amount, but it turned out that X amount was the cheaper one, which didn’t fit when I needed to get my car moved by. I ended up paying $400 more, which made me a little upset but I wasn’t really in a position where I could do anything 'cause I was moving cross-country.
The transport organizer was fine. However, I didn’t really feel like I got a super straight answer. It was like, “Well, this is how we do it and keep moving forward.” I was a little upset the first couple of times I talked to him because of the situation. It was $800 that I saw, but they should've let the me know of their two quotes. I would've been a lot happier knowing that I would pay $1,200. Other than that, the driver was great. When he came to pick up my car, he was super friendly and careful with the car. From pickup, they got the car cross-country in three and a half days. My father picked the car up on the delivery end, and I assume it was fine. Overall, the it was quick and easy. Everyone was pretty knowledgeable and professional too.

AmeriFreight came highly recommended online. When I called them, they were responsive and got back to me ASAP. Those were the reasons I chose them to ship my vehicle when I was moving back to the East Coast. I then got a free quote. It was pretty spot on except for I needed to have a weekend delivery so the price went up a little bit. But, that was fine. The transport organizer was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Everything was awesome. The carrier driver was very helpful and accommodating as well. However, the whole process took three weeks. It took long to get the driver set up at first. That took longer than I wanted. Other than that, my experience with them was great and very positive. I would use AmeriFreight again.

I sold the car across the country so I needed to ship it. AmeriFreight was the first one I saw that looked reputable online. When I first called them, the quote was going to be around $700 and it was fine. But when I shipped it, it ended up being quite a bit more. I ended up buying extra insurance, which was about an extra $100 on. Then, AmeriFreight introduced me to somebody else that took over the transportation. The guy that came and got the car was really nice. Everything was also fine on delivery. Everything has been smooth.

I was moving for a job. I searched for reviews, compared a bunch of them and AmeriFreight's were decent. The quote was more or less comparable to other providers and the transport organizer was pretty friendly. But I'm still having an unresolved issue. Part of my car is damaged but it wasn't a major one. The side mirror on the passenger side is somewhat broken and the outside is completely shattered. Either the car wasn't secured or when the driver got it out, it got hit by something. The driver was not what I would expect but it was okay and he probably tried his best.
He told me that he can arrive on a Monday night. He never got in contact me until I contacted him and he said he doesn't think he can be here that night unless it's very late. I told him that as long as he can be here, I can try to make it until midnight but he said he can't. That's part of the reason why I didn't see the damage when we actually made the transfer because I picked up the car at 6:00 AM and it was all dark outside. There was no way for me to properly inspect the car.
I purchased the so-called gap plan from AFta and I submit a claim. But it's been more than a month and I haven't heard back from them. I'm on the West part of the US and their company is in the East so, sometimes, it's a bit hard for me to directly communicate with them. I tried to call them and left a message. I also tried to send emails to the rep from AmeriFreight. The email address is AmeriFreight but in the email, the guy was saying he is representing AFta. I sent him an email telling the situation and I never got a response. My claim is still pending and I'm gonna call them after this week if I don't hear back from them.

I had a vehicle that I needed shipped across the country and AmeriFreight quoted the lowest rate though it went up by a few hundred dollars. I went with the company because it was convenient. The transport organizer called me, set everything up and stayed in touch every step of the way. My interactions with the carrier driver were excellent as well. We had the request out for four days, then someone picked it up and the car was delivered in two days. So, that was very fast.

AmeriFreight was one of the companies that came up when I did a Google search for a transport service. After a quick check on Better Business Bureau, it seemed like AmeriFreight was not a scam so I went with them. They handled everything well. Everything was good and their rep was great. They came to pick up the car and it got delivered to Seattle a little bit after I was expecting it to, but it was only a couple of days. They couldn’t get the truck wherever I was, so they had to put it onto a smaller truck but that was the only thing that was out of the ordinary and it ended up being fine.

Requested a quote from AmeriFreight's website with all the necessary information provided about my vehicle and departure date. First, the email response stated that if a representative does not contact you within six hours, to call or respond to the email. I didn't hear from anyone and sent a follow up email only to discover the email address came back as undeliverable. Second, the next morning I received a quote from Graham for $985. I call because the email states that if I respond within 48 hours, I am eligible for a discount. You can imagine my surprise when I learned that the actual cost for shipping my vehicle was $1300, and not the $985 quoted in the original email. In my opinion, that is not the way to do business - bad form and unprofessional. I did not use AmeriFreight and will not despite all the glowing reviews posted here.

I was relocating for a job so I looked up AmeriFreight online and found that they had good reviews so I chose them. I was given a free quote but it wasn't really accurate. They said $750, but it ended up being $950. But my experience was all positive with the transport organizer. It was all good and it was on the level. I got good information from them and they gave me all the proper phone numbers to deal with the driver. It was pleasant and it worked. Also, the driver was cool and the car came in good shape. They unloaded it in front of me and it was awesome. That went smoothly and they did it within the window but it took longer than I thought. I thought it would take something like two days but I think it might have taken nine days. But it was a painless and straightforward experience.

Everything worked as expected. This is the second time I've used AmeriFreight and both times, the car was delivered on time. In fact, it was delivered early this time by about two days, which is excellent. The only negative part and I'm not upset by it, is that it wasn't delivered until about 11PM on Sunday. The guy got trapped because there were cars parked on the streets. It was a full-sized truck trailer and so, it took time for him to get that all turned around. But, everything went fine and I was able to flex for that.

The car was at my father-in-law’s house and we were shipping it from South Mississippi to Washington State, the new location I am going to. I’m in the military. Amerifreight was recommended by two of my friends and I also did not want to put out a bid on the internet. I wanted an agent to deal with it. I was not happy at all with how things transpired with AmeriFreight. I was given a quote by Alicia, the first agent I dealt with. I didn’t hear from them for three or four weeks. Finally I called them. I was handled by two different gentlemen. The original quote was $950. What I ended up paying was around $1,600, but at that point I needed the car and I had to get it shipped. I wouldn’t have an issue if they told me from the beginning that’s how much it was going to cost. They were not very transparent about the whole process. I was ripped off but because of my work I didn’t have time to deal with it.
Ben, the transport organizer was fine and ended up helping me. Once I re-engaged, started calling them, it took them a week-and-a-half to find somebody to move the car despite the fact that I originally called them a month out. He found the person but after that, he didn’t do anything. I’m the one who talked to the driver and arranged everything. Originally they wanted my father-in-law to meet them at 3:00 in the morning with the car. That’s not going to happen, so they agreed to meet him at 7 a.m. and then they delivered it right to the house, so that was perfect. But AmeriFreight advertises that they’re going to do door-to-door but it wasn’t worth the headache to deal with the driver. I was misled on that. The whole situation was annoying. I wouldn’t recommend AmeriFreight to anyone. They rush you and try to get you to buy insurance packages which were a complete waste of money. Fortunately I turned down most of them.

It ended up costing me more than my initial proposed quote but my agent was very upfront about that. She was very professional and when she had information, she got in touch. AmeriFreight told me that it will cost a little bit more because of some of the more rural delivery specifics. And they had to get somebody to hoist it the last little bit on a one-car loader. I had a few other companies who’d given me a set price of $1,295 and I ended up paying $1,350 with AmeriFreight. But everything on the transport went smoothly. It was delivered when anticipated, and the car was in about the same condition as when it left.

I looked at reviews for AmeriFreight and felt that they were trustworthy. Their reps responded fairly quickly and they seemed knowledgeable. The driver was pretty cool too. When he dropped the car off to my mom, there were no issues on the back end which I appreciated. I was a little worried about that portion because I knew that the freight company brokered it out. It worked out really well overall.

I spoke to the transport organizer frequently. She would call and keep me updated of the process. She’s very knowledgeable and very easy to deal with. But, the car showed up so dirty that I couldn't even inspect it myself and I had to take it to a washer immediately. That's not so much a big deal as much as the inside of the car was dirty. He told me about the cost, the finder’s fee, the insurance, and the amount that I have to pay the driver. I accepted and we got the paperwork started that night. I was very pleased. I don't have any experience with this kind of stuff and seeing AmeriFreight was Better Business Bureau rated, it made me feel a little more comfortable. Also, Ben was very helpful. And when the car came, it was exactly like I left it.
