AmeriFreight was the first company I selected to get the car to my daughter in Idaho from Pennsylvania. The amount they quoted us was a little higher than expected but it was Christmas time. The thing, however, was their rep forgot to tell me I needed a form filled out and I missed a shipper because of it. They seemed much more interested in getting the money than in satisfying my needs.

My experience with AmeriFreight was very good. The seasonal aspect was that a lot of people were going down south, and AmeriFreight were the first ones to get back to me saying that they could pick up my car since I was moving. Their quote was wonderful, just the price was too high. But I needed to get my car shipped because I sold my house in New York and I would have been homeless. My transport organizer and my driver were both very good. However, the entire process took a little long because the weather went bad up in the northeast, so I’m not complaining about that. They picked it up on the 29th of December and they delivered it on the 9th, but that's not an issue for me. Everything went well.

I had a personal relocation and my experience with AmeriFreight went fine. I looked at websites and I spoke to a couple of people in person. The calm manner and the courtesy of AmeriFreight were what won me over. All of the others quoted somewhere near the same price but told me that it wasn’t necessarily the price because the trucker may not agree to it. So, everything was an estimate, which I found a little bit disconcerting. The industry to me is not totally above board because there's way too much flexibility or there's not enough consumer protection. But as far as my dealings with AmeriFreight, they were terrific in their communication.
We had scheduled the delivery for early on a Monday but the carrier driver had trouble with his trailer. He thought it would be done on the afternoon and then it became the evening on Monday, so we decided to do it the next morning. There was no problem communicating with the driver at all and he was really good about it. I was initially mildly annoyed that I was hanging around for 24 hours trying to make sure that my car would be loaded but the driver was so courteous and so apologetic that it was easy to forgive him. And as far as my vehicle getting from point A to point B, there was no problem whatsoever.
All in all, there was more concern prior to selecting AmeriFreight among all the carriers that are out there and the process itself went as smoothly as I could have hoped for. I would absolutely 1,000% recommend AmeriFreight. They were very above board, responsive and courteous. They did what they said they were going to do for the price they said they were going to do it.

For the purpose of shipping our vehicle, we chose AmeriFreight. We moved from Colorado to Massachusetts. Their delivery driver communicated intermittently during the whole transport. I wish he would have called me a bit earlier before arriving. Nevertheless, the car arrived in good shape.

I was moving for work and my son recommended AmeriFreight. Their rate looked fine and since my son used them, I decided to use them as well. I had some time to move my vehicle so I asked the rep if she could post the offer to the truckers a little lower than the ceiling then raise it in a couple of days when I really needed to start trying to move the vehicle. But people came back right away at the lower price. Dealing with the transport organizer was simple too. We just went back and forth until the car was picked up and then I worked with the freight company. Everything went fine on the day of delivery. The car got there on time and my parents picked it up 'cause I wasn't there yet. The guy didn't speak good English but we got through it. I would recommend AmeriFreight. That lower price worked out and I would advice people to try that if they can move their car a little earlier.

I was shipping a vehicle for a travel nurse that works for my company and AmeriFreight was referred by another travel nurse. The free quote option was great which I appreciate and the transport organizer was sweet, thorough, followed through, called me back and made changes that I needed. Also I liked the turnaround time on getting things set up. I was expecting a 48-hour window until she could find a carrier but she found one within hours. The overall process took less than a week and there were no hiccups.

I tried to look for ratings and AmeriFreight's seemed very good. When AmeriFreight first got the car they wanted to have me walk a mile to go and drop it off. And then when I picked it up I had used another vehicle since I had to pick the car up about four miles from the house. But I live where it wasn't really conducive for a big truck getting in there. They didn’t know that so it’s not a big deal. Other than that Ben, the courier driver was very professional. He took care of business.

As advertised AmeriFreight is a good agency. They act as a middleman and contract with the drivers or the companies that supply the drivers. I had to ship a vehicle from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Florida, so I did a search on the computer. Then when I looked up reviews on AmeriFreight, they seemed to be as reliable as everybody else.
I talked with one of the reps there and I was sent a free quote. I was looking at it and I said, “Wow, that looks kind of low. Is that realistic?” The rep was upfront and honest with me. She said, “No, not really. As you get closer to the date, when they picked it up, it’ll probably be about $500 more.” You just have to ask questions when you deal with them because if I went with the estimate that they gave me on the computer, I would have been disappointed since it came for about $500 more.
The car got to its destination a few days earlier than expected and in good condition. It was dirty but that was expected. The only problem we ran into was when the car got to the destination the driver couldn’t get the car off the truck because one of the cars that were parked in front of it wouldn’t start. And so my friend who was going to pick up the car got hang up for about six hours.

I needed to ship my vehicle from Utah to Ohio. I read reviews and searched for several places on the internet. I looked on the Better Business Bureau website as well. AmeriFreight has been around for a long time versus other ones that just started their business or those that had several businesses named similarly but kept on closing down one name and starting up another name. I also really liked the idea that AmeriFreight had thousands of reviews versus someone who had 25.
Their quote was higher than other people though, and I didn't like it. But from reading the reviews of other companies, I figured they did a bait-and-switch. I wanted to make sure I was going to get my vehicle and that it was going to be insured properly. I didn't mind paying more to go with a company that was more reputable via Better Business Bureau and the thousands of reviews that they had.
The transport organizer told me upfront what the transport was going to entail. Everything came true to the different options he gave me so I was definitely satisfied. The carrier driver and I kept in contact via text very well. We discussed a lot of different things, getting closer to the drop-off location. He was worried about overpasses 'cause he had a tall trailer so we had a couple of options together if something went wrong. There was no room to unload the vehicle but we straightened it out on the phone and everything went fine.
AmeriFreight should keep up the good work. If I'd do anything again, I'm going to call them even though they go with another bidder that actually does the carrying of the vehicle. I originally thought it was AmeriFreight that was doing the carrying, but they have other people do that. But I was informed that they were all A-plus people so I trusted them somehow.

I bought a vehicle in Utah from GovPlanet. I contacted AmeriFreight and they gave me the best service, the best price, and the best time. Jorge, my contact with the company, gave me the best service. They gave us transportation from Utah to Bullock, New Jersey. They were very efficient because they told me that, "Friday, we will pick up your truck,” and they picked up my truck on time. The organizer talked to me and kept me updated on the status of shipping. The whole transport took about four days and they updated me about every five hours. It was a very good experience.

When I was sending the vehicle up to my daughter in Alaska, I did not realize that AmeriFreight was a brokerage firm. They're only setting stuff up and not the actual driving company that’s delivering the vehicle and really has the most contact with the vehicle and that's hard. I picked them thinking I was dealing with a specific trucking company but I still had a fine experience so all turned out good. I only used AmeriFreight to have the vehicle tractor-trailered up to Washington from Arizona to get on a barge. It arrived on time in the Washington destination and then I dealt directly with the barge company from Washington to Alaska. The original quote was a little over a $1000 and I paid a little over $1200 so that was a bit disappointing for me but I had a friendly experience and besides the pricing, everything else happened as they said it would.

I was shipping the vehicle to one of my siblings, from Indianapolis to Colorado. AmeriFreight had good ratings and I called them along with three others. AmeriFreight's price was a little bit more expensive but their rep Danielle seemed the most direct, honest and clear in our communications. I didn't feel like she was trying to sell me on anything. I also had a few follow-up calls and she was always prompt on those.
Initially, I gave the drivers the lay of the land and then I had my sister on the shipping end. The driver called and he actually arrived earlier than projected on the same day. But he was willing and accommodating to wait for the scheduled time and my sister was able to arrive an hour earlier. That went on without a hitch. On the receiving side, he called the evening in advance of the scheduled day. They set a time and that all worked as lined out. It was smooth and the service was good, as expected, and I was happy.

I had been out of town and had a wreck. I had to return home but my car was at a dealer being repaired so I had it shipped by AmeriFreight. I had a difficult situation, given that it was over the holidays and my agent, Danielle, was honest with me that it would be a challenge potentially and was upfront that it might cost more over the holidays. But she was able to get it placed at a reasonable rate.
Dealing with the carrier driver was pleasant. He called when he was in the area and was able to come to my house with the vehicle. It was pouring down rain and he was able to do everything. The whole process took a day and a half and I got my car on Christmas Eve, which met the expectations set by my agent. I was pleased overall and I would definitely go with them if I needed that service again. AmeriFreight is the way to go if anyone needed to have a vehicle shipped.

When I research, I always type in the name of the company and then the word scam in a search engine. That way, if there are any complaints, they show up pretty quickly, but AmeriFreight seemed to have good reviews on the internet. I needed them for my vehicle that has been in storage for 10 years. The vehicle does not run and it was in a large storage bin in Maine and I am in Florida. AmeriFreight arranged for VJ Trucking to transport my car and VJ Trucking did a very good job of it. I made arrangements with the storage facility to hand over the key so that the storage bin could be unlocked. VJ Trucking was told the car does not run and it will have to be dragged out of the storage unit and placed on the truck and that was done.
But here's something that is a fairly strong negative. Amerifreight said that if you double book with an additional broker, then they try to extract financial penalties off the credit card. The problem I have with that is if they say, "We guarantee we can get you someone in three days," there will be a $200 penalty if you back out. But if they say, "We’ll look until we find it," and it will be after the gasoline is up and you’re not allowed to cancel, then I get upset. So finding a trucker directly may be simpler, cheaper and more reliable if one can get that done, so try to do without a broker if you can. With AmeriFreight, be prepared to pay 20% more than the first asking price because they may lowball to get you hooked on the offer.
Still, the only difficulty I had with AmeriFreight was it took a while to get someone and there was a certain amount of delay because people were not very straightforward about the price and what they said they could get for me. The original suggestion was $850 and I wound up paying about $1,100. AmeriFreight said that the location was not in a very central area in Maine. There were some back roads that have to be driven hard which is true. Then the price came up a little. I waited for a couple of bids then they gave me a bid lower than what I paid. After about two days, AmeriFreight canceled it on the grounds that the trucker didn’t have the appropriate insurance licensing paperwork. They said they couldn’t use the company which is reasonable. But they might have done the credentialing before getting with the bid. It felt a little like it might be bait and switch.
The delivery driver was about two days late as his truck broke down but he did call me before and every expected delivery time. Once he got here, he helped me push the car into the garage which he didn’t have to do. He didn’t ask for extra payment for that part of the delivery which I very much appreciated. He was as friendly as could be. I got what I paid for and everyone was courteous. There weren’t any broken promises except how quickly they could get the car and what the price was.

I compared a few transporters and it was a little easy choosing one. I used AmeriFreight to ship my car when I moved to a different part of the country and their free quote option was good. I’m from New Jersey and I moved out to California about a year ago. I was debating whether I was to ship the car or just sell it and get a new car. I decided to ship it and I got some quote. I talked to AmeriFreight and they gave me a good price and timeframe so I went with them. The organizer gave me a follow-up call a couple of days after I requested the quote and asked if I had any questions. They explained the process to me exactly how it worked in terms of getting a carrier, the payment method, insurance and everything related to it. They basically walked me through the paperwork that I was signing off. Everything was pretty cut and dried.
Then they told me when will the car be picked up as soon as they had an assigned carrier. They also gave me the phone number of the drivers so I could call them and get updates if needed. And AmeriFreight called to make sure that the car was delivered and to make sure that there was nothing wrong or if there were any issues that I need to discuss with them. The move went pretty smoothly. My mother shipped the vehicle and I was the one that received it. They actually showed up two days earlier than I thought so I was pretty happy with it.

We were moving across the country and we needed our vehicle moved within a three-day window. Before AmeriFreight, we went with a different company and they failed us. We gave them over a month to find us someone to move our vehicle and they didn't do it. In our exact situation, we needed something very quickly and on the spot. Given that, the prices AmeriFreight gave were quite fair. The transport organizer did a great job too. He was always very easy to talk to and he got back to us quickly with any questions. It was overall a very great experience. When I met with the driver, he was great as well and it was actually cool that one of my friends actually knows the guy personally. The entire process took about four days and everything was great. We did a quick check when he dropped the vehicle off and everything looked exactly the same as when we first gave it.

I called AmeriFreight and spoke with Danielle and placed an order to have my Range Rover shipped from NY to CA. I was told my car would be picked up within 1-5 days, (which is why I placed the order with them). It had been 6 days now, not including weekends, so I called back to find out the status, and was first told that they can't find my order, and then told that they couldn't find a truck for me yet. I got no update about this and I was lied to about the pickup time and manipulated into choosing them. I definitely do not recommend this company.

AmeriFreight's price was a bit higher than everyone else but they were the only ones I could find with more decent reviews. I used them to ship a car to a family and I had good interaction with their representative who responded quickly. During the delivery, it was nice that the driver texted me since it was easier to communicate. The only complain I have is that the pick-up time wasn't flexible and they don't work around my schedule. I basically have to give them the car when the driver is ready. Other than that, the process was easy and took a week from start to finish. I'd recommend them.

I needed a vehicle shipped from New Jersey to Florida and AmeriFreight gave me an initial bid that was better than others. However, it ended but being almost double that. The organizer who responded gave me a quote of $835. When he gave me that first quote, he said he'd call me back. He then left the company so no one called me back. About ten days later, the second person I talked to said that nobody is ever going to deliver my car for that price. It cost me $1,250 instead. However, the carrier did a good job. All in all, it took three weeks. I'm not satisfied and I would not recommend AmeriFreight.

I was shipping my 1960 Bentley and I found AmeriFreight on the internet. They gave me a quote and my mechanic who ships cars around said that it was a pretty good quote so I took it. The quote given by AmeriFreight was in the ball park with all the other companies. The transport organizer was professional, and the carrier driver was prepared. We used AmeriFreight for moving and the transport organizer was courteous and informative. I got my vehicle delivered in two weeks. However, the truck driver did a bad job. She said, "I'll be there", but she made me wait for two days. And even then, she did not give a clear update. She called to let me know that her truck has broken down. I told her it was no problem but to give me an update but she did not give me a proper one the next day and I waited the whole day for the truck.
When the truck arrived the driver just dropped my car in the middle of a two-lane road and left it there. The battery was down so I tried to call a truck trailer. They did not have enough equipment or something to jumpstart. Anybody who carries a weight like that should at least have one. I waited on the road for two to three hours. They need to choose the truckdrivers properly. Also, they need to explain to the people that their quote was higher so then if it was a good experience people would not mind paying more. But if it was bad like mine, people would have to doublethink hiring them again.

My experience with AmeriFreight hasn't been good. I've had three experiences with them. Two of them have been good. The third one is a problem. I have an order now that has been delayed by two days for shipping a car. There was supposed to be a pick-up on Monday. The hauler was coming from Massachusetts and because of the storm in the Northeast, the contacts for the shipper, which was Kwik Trans called me, and told me that they couldn't make it on Monday even though they have agreed to pick up on that day.
The Monday pick-up was important for me because that was the only day I could be physical with the car. But I understood. They can't control the weather. They said the pick-up would be the next day, which was the 10th. As it turns out, it was not that night. I have not gotten a call today. I had to leave the location where the car is, which is in Bethesda, Maryland and return to the location where it's being shipped, which is in Sugarland, Texas, a suburb of Houston.
It's now 11:00 their time. AmeriFreight told me last night after I called them two or three times that the pick-up would be sometime tonight between six and seven. Well, I had arranged for a colleague to hang around and deliver the car during the workday. And when I told him it won't be six and seven, he said he can't stay that late. So now, I got to find somebody else. And I found somebody else. But I let him know exactly when it would be, who it would be, and what the phone number would be, so he could call to make schedules. And that still has not happened.
As of this moment, expecting a 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. pick-up, I have not heard from them as to who the driver is, what his phone number is, and an approved solid pick-up time. I also texted the transport organizer multiple times the last night. My last text message to him was their communication was very disappointing. I described it as poor. I told him this had been a clumsy transaction. He texted me back and said that he was trying to get the communication and he would contact them first thing this morning. I haven't heard from either of them. I haven't heard from AmeriFreight, and I have not heard from the hauler, which is Kwik Trans.

I have used AmeriFreight to ship a car to my parents in Florida a few years back, and we had a good experience with them. So, when we relocated from California to Florida, I decided to stick with them. The quote I was given was fair and we paid pretty close to it. The transport organizer, Jorge, was great. He was very organized and really good at responding. The driver was good because he was there when he was supposed to be there and he was really patient. However, the Skyline dispatch gave us the wrong location. We were located close to two different public supermarkets and they said they were delivering my car to the one closer to me. When they texted me the address, I was assuming that it was the one that's closer and I went there, but the driver showed up at the one that's further out. I was talking to him back and forth and I realized I was at a totally different location. It caused miscommunication as they were supposed to map it out.
Also, the Skyline dispatch was not returning our phone calls and it took them forever to respond to us. My husband called them a couple of times and we couldn't get a hold of anyone. There was a couple of times when the phone kept ringing and then it sounded like someone picked up, and then it hung up. So, my husband left messages to them and then we waited, yet we still didn't hear from them. My husband called Jorge, who gave us a different number, and then Jorge must have called Skyline so they called us back right away. AmeriFreight’s customer service was great and I would work with Jorge again if we ever have to relocate our car again, but I would not use Skyline. Skyline is supposed to be one of AmeriFreight’s top carriers, but from what we experienced, it was terrible.

I'm in the military and my wife and I were living in North Carolina. Then we got assigned to do duty station in Arizona. We were going to ship my wife's car out and we were leaving at a certain date. But we were going on vacation right after we got to Arizona so we had a very small window to have the car picked up and delivered. As I was trying to decide which place to use, I looked at the feedback at ConsumerAffairs.com. All the companies seemed good. But AmeriFreight was among the top five and the quote they gave me seemed reasonable. So decided to go with them.
I scheduled the whole thing a month and a half early and I initially had one gentleman. He said they would post it to the job boards a little later but I didn't hear back from him. So I called in and found out that he was no longer working there. They assigned someone else to my order and they got me connected with the next person. It came down to the wire but it all worked out in the end.
It was a little unclear to me that there would be the quote for the actual movement and the AmeriFreight fee. So it was a little surprising to come down to the final payment and it was a couple hundred dollars more than I had expected. It would have been better if I had been a little more aware that the quote they gave me did not include that fee. We also had some scheduling changes but the driver was really flexible even though he had some stuff that he was working on. We were able to work around both of our scheduling issues. They picked the car up on a Friday and delivered it on a Thursday morning, and the driver was great both times.

A friend used AmeriFreight in the past and didn't have issues so, I got them too. The rep I spoke with was very good and straightforward. I got a quote which was decent, but a little misleading. They quoted what I paid the driver and not the overall cost so, I spent $300 more than the initial quote. In addition, they said that all pick-ups and drop-offs would be done in the daylight, but both my pickup and my drop-off were done at night. The pick-up was 7:00 at night which wasn't too bad but the drop off was around midnight.

I was moving across the country for work. I had gotten a referral through a work service and AmeriFreight was one of the companies that they came up with when they did their search. I talked to Jorge three times. The first time, he sent me all the information, gave me the quote and then told me that they would look for a truck to meet that quote that he had given me based on the date that I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised with the quote. It was less than I expected to pay so it was great. In the end, I even paid a little less. Jorge called me within a couple of days and told me he had found someone for a little bit less. But they wanted a different date so we talked with them and their schedule was open so we arranged for the date that worked best for me. That company ended up calling me, asking if they could come a few days early to pick my car up to put it in the truck.
The carrier driver called while we were en route to our destination. We told them we wouldn't be there until the next day and I didn't have a way to pay them because they only take cash. So they said that they were going to call us back. They ended up calling us back the next day, asking if we were at the destination. We were then and they told us that they would be on the way. But it ended up being longer than what they said. They had some other issues getting gas and in one of the other pick-ups they had to do before they got to us. The only annoying part was sitting there and waiting on them. If I had known that they were going to take longer, we could have left to go do something and then come back. Also, it would have been nice to know that the car was going to be extremely dirty when it got to me. I would have understood because our car was dirty from driving through the different weather. But I just wasn't expecting it. Still, it was a good experience overall.

But there were certain circumstances that contributed to that and that was nothing AmeriFreight can prevent. Other than that, I had a helpful and genuine representative. He was friendly and informative. Also, the carrier driver was kind, respectful and easy to get in touch with.

The person I talked to at AmeriFreight had a direct line and responded to me. So I had a live agent that was working directly with me. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He told me he was going to get back with me on a particular day. And when I didn't hear back from him, I called and he gave me an update. It was very informative so I am very happy with the service. The quote was an average price. It wasn't the lowest nor the highest. But this is the one I was getting personal service with. The final cost was a little bit higher than what they initially quoted and that was pretty much expected. Either accept the driver's offer or not. It was still reasonable though.
I called a month before I needed the car shipped. They don't actually have drivers so they post it and then the driver accepts the offer. They negotiated and worked with the driver. I got confirmation until maybe four days before I needed the car shipped. And the driver contacted us to make sure that we were dropping off and picking up at the right locations. I didn't have to pay the driver an extra fee because AmeriFreight handled the payment to the driver. It went very well. I would use them again if I needed to ship a car. And I wouldn't call anybody else.

I’ve shipped with AmeriFreight before and whatever they promised us, they fulfilled it. We moved one car from New York to Texas, and one from New York to Missouri. They picked up the car from my place and dropped it at my doorstep in Missouri. So, it was really great, and I got my car in 3 days.

I bought a vehicle in another state and I needed to get it here. I went with a different company first and they weren't able to get it done in a week, so I was frustrated. AmeriFreight is a little bit more expensive, but they assured me they could get it done. They gave me a quote but, ultimately, it's whatever the driver wants to do it for. I ended up paying $200 more than what AmeriFreight quoted me, but I understood how it works and so I was prepared for that. Every time I reached out to their transport organizer, she was available. That was good because with the company I had tried to use previously, it was insanely difficult to get a hold of my agent. It took a couple of days to find a driver, though, but once they found a driver, he was in the house within 24 hours. I would recommend AmeriFreight. They were very professional and easy to work with and ultimately got the job done.

AmeriFreight was excellent. We sold our home and we were in the process of moving to South Carolina to be by our son and daughter-in-law. My daughter-in-law heard how excellent AmeriFreight was and we felt secured sending our car through them. The rep, Danielle, set everything up and she was excellent, too. Daniel, the driver, thought we had a nail in our tire and he watched it very closely the whole time he was bringing the vehicle from California to South Carolina.
As soon as he took the car off of the carriage and we picked it up, he thought that it wasn't a nail since the tire didn't lose pressure. It was a little silver thing that went into the thread but didn't go through the tire at all. He was very concerned about it and he wanted us to have it checked right away. Also, he picked up our car out of the area a lot further than what he usually goes to and he did the same thing when he delivered the car. He was wonderful. It took a week and two days for the car to be delivered and it worked out perfectly. We had excellent service.

I was moving vehicles roughly 2,000 miles coast to coast. I booked AmeriFreight over the phone and they gave a reasonable quote compared to other companies. Their representative called back with the quote, as well as instructions for submitting the documents and making the payments. It was straightforward and the overall process was easy.
Since having two cars shipped through AmeriFreight, I've had one good experience while the other one was bad. The car came on time during the first one so everything was okay. But for the other one, they asked me to come to a location which was far from my house and I had to drive a distance to where he could bring the truck and deliver the car. The driver asked me to come to a Walmart because he had this huge 18-wheeler and the roads were too small for his truck. He was very inflexible and he just wanted to tell us where he wanted the car delivered. But both cars arrived without any scratches or dents, so that part was good.
In general, I would like the carriers to deliver cars during the daytime so it's easier for us to inspect the cars. Both my cars were delivered at night and you could easily miss something even if it’s under a gas station light or a lamp post. Also, we should be allowed by AmeriFreight to drive the car at least for a few meters along with the driver. I asked the second driver to sit in the car with me, but he refused.

I called him in advance and he made sure that I got someone to transport my vehicle. I received my vehicle in good condition and I got it sooner than I expected. After I talked to a few companies, I made my choice to let AmeriFreight move my vehicle from Austin, Texas to San Diego. The service was good and everything went smoothly. Their representative worked hard for me but his initial quote ended up being doubled. He placed my vehicle on the board and he was giving quotes. All of them were very high and he said, "They just seem to be asking more. It could be the time of the year. Everyone is going to vary from their original quotes." So I ended up paying $1,200. I appreciate that the driver called me and let me know where he was, when he's going to pick up the vehicle and when he was close. AmeriFreight did a good job and the representative was very friendly. He did what he said he would do and he got me a good carrier. Although it would have been nice if it was closer on the estimate.

I was looking for different carriers online because I needed to move my daughter's car from California to New Jersey. I chose AmeriFreight because of the timeframe that they were able to pick the car up. However, we were promised that it would get here at a certain time and the driver was actually in New Jersey for two days but didn't deliver. My daughter was also having a high-risk pregnancy and she was expecting her car. She was nervous and a little upset about the whole thing.
There was a lot of miscommunication. When we tried to call the business office, we weren't able to reach anybody. There wasn't a whole lot of contact with the driver. Also, there was somebody who assigned some drivers. They gave me one price and then charged me more because they said that my daughter has too many things in the car. My brother-in-law gave the driver a tip and I also ended up tipping the driver again when he brought the car even though he was two days late. He said he got a flat tire. He kept giving me excuses and he was only a couple of towns over. He didn't check up a lot. I got a voicemail and it sounded like I woke him up at one point when he answered. I tried to call his boss and I got some weird recording. I wasn't always able to reach them. I actually had to call the subcontractor to try to get a hold of AmeriFreight. I called up and I talked to a gentleman. He was very nice and he told me exactly what was going to happen. The quote they gave was good. They also told us what time they were going to be here. Everything was just fantastic. The whole process was about a week because we had to get everything lined up. He flew on Friday and they picked it up.
I was in the restaurant business for 37 years and I dealt with all kinds of people of different types of companies. I have never ever dealt with a company as polite and as punctual as AmeriFreight. The three guys on the truck were unbelievably polite. The one guy asked me 20 times, “Do you need anything? Can I get you anything? Are you all right? Is everything okay? Look at the car and tell me if everything's okay." I'm really surprised that it was a closed in vehicle. They came in a transport. The money was well worth it. When I started talking to the man who was going to pick up the car, I didn't think that they won't be there at the time they said they were. But it got resolved quickly and I was very impressed.
I did everything online and their quote ended up being a couple hundred dollars more, but that was my error since I had put some incorrect information. But the final price was reasonable, seeing how it was going across the United States. I met the guy who picked up the car and he was good. He was where I asked him to be and that was at the Nissan dealership in Raleigh, North Carolina. He picked it up there and he did a great job. Then once they brought it to my family member, it wasn’t the actual guy that drove it out there but it all worked out. Overall, I was impressed that they stayed on top of things. It wasn’t really as competitive once that happened ‘cause I called some other places. I ended up paying more than the quote. The whole process to me was a little crazy, the way it works with these freight companies. It’s like they can’t really promise anything, but I don’t necessarily blame them. I just thought it’s the nature of the bidding. I was closing on a house and driving to Florida, and I needed the vehicle to go.

One of my family members turned over the title of a vehicle to me. They live in New York and I live in Texas. I had called in twice for estimates with the AmeriFreight organizer and he explained the contract to me a couple of times. Then we had interactions over the phone to do scheduling and he was friendly and knowledgeable.
But the business model is a little strange. The way the company works is that it's a broker and they essentially hire out and contract out to truck drivers the movement of the vehicles. The problem with the business model is that in this day and age, people expect a little bit better from scheduling and so that means if I pay extra money to have my car picked up on a certain day, I at least want a window for when that's going to happen and I expect the broker to negotiate that. The transport took six days. I wasn't happy with that because I paid extra money to get prioritized pickup and delivery and they were late.
When you're moving a vehicle from one part of the country to another, there's usually more than one person involved and to be able to coordinate with those people, you need to be able to give them fairly definite times and dates. I would expect the broker to be able to manage that situation and they just turned us over to the truck driver and go, "Here. Call them," and we arranged the move with them. The broker either needs to recognize the fact that they need to do a better job working with the drivers or they should just get out of the way because the reason you pay them money is that you're expecting that they're going to arrange it and they really don't.

I called five other companies, but based on the price and the ratings with Better Business Bureau and some other websites, I went with AmeriFreight. I inherited a car through a death in the family and I needed to transport it from California to Georgia. It was a 1965 Lincoln that was not operational so it's a very unique case and AmeriFreight was excellent as far as initial communication.
I called a month out and asked for a covered carrier. I was very specific on the dates because I live in Florida and I was literally flying out there for a three-day window so I updated to a different class. The way it was explained to me was they had a fee and then a certain amount would give me a seven-day window that they brokerage to get me a carrier. For another amount, they would guarantee a 24-hour pickup which was perfect. It was worth it for me. They quoted me $2100 which was higher than I expected but I was willing to pay top dollar to guarantee 24 hours. Aside from that, the response time of emails and when I had questions, was great as well.
The transport did not go as planned though. Our schedule was Wednesday and I got out to California on Tuesday. I was leaving no later than Friday so I called on Tuesday and they told me to wait until the next day. But that was my pickup date so that would start my 24-hour window. I couldn't leave without the move happening 'cause all the property was going to be gone and I didn't have access to come back. They said if the job isn't picked up, they would open it to open carriers. But the car is a convertible 1965 and I had a window that did not roll up, which is why I wanted the enclosed carrier. The next day, nothing was picked up so we went with an open carrier. They were able to come in the time that I was there but it was the last day. Even then, why was there that uncertainty and why did I pay?
I paid for the bonus package but that was not a 24-hour guaranteed window. I've never moved a car and maybe I'm ignorant of how the system works but by all means, that was my interpretation of what was told me. I was very frustrated. The price was significantly higher as well. But if you take a look at the quotes of what an open carrier is a month prior, it's $1200. I asked what my options were to negotiate but they said if I wanted it picked up the next day, I really didn't have any. They said, "It's between you and the carrier now." I ended up paying $2000 for an open carrier and not within my 24-hour window. But I was in such a bind and I had no other options at that point. I couldn't call other carriers and ask them to pick the car up that day. The fee that I paid AmeriFreight didn’t change though, so it was not like they were out getting more money. Maybe they got a kickback but I wouldn't know. In the end, I got my car and nothing was damaged.

I told him, “I need it here by this day because other than that, I'll be out of town. If it's picked up at a certain time and too late, I might not be here and I'm not going to be in town.” So, he was able to meet that deadline, and everything was great. If I was going to go through AmeriFreight, I’d want to go through him if it was possible. Everything was also good with the driver. He was a nice guy and gave me time to inspect the vehicle, and was not rushing me. They were able to communicate with me and gave me their phone and cell number. The line of communication was always there throughout the transport.

My experience with AmeriFreight was great. I needed to get a vehicle from San Jose to Phoenix and Jorge was really easy to work with. He negotiated the price with me a bit and matched some other pricing. Also, the carrier driver was terrific. AmeriFreight should use the delivery guy again.

It took five days for AmeriFreight to ship my vehicle when I moved from Columbus, Ohio to Costa Mesa, California. The quote they gave me was not too high and not too low but it was little more than what was quoted. I called both the organizer and the driver to check when the vehicle will be delivered because it was the holiday season. Also, I was coordinating with them to know their availability and my availability. The vehicle arrived in good condition and I’d tell my friends to give AmeriFreight a try.

In dealing with AmeriFreight, they assured me that shipping was door-to-door. The vehicle was getting taken to a 93-year old woman so that was important. She doesn’t drive but she wanted her car in Tennessee. They called the night before to say that they might deliver that night or the following day. On the morning of the delivery, I got a call asking when the people were going to be available to come and get the car. Then they sent a map that basically said to meet at a certain point. I asked, “Isn’t this door to door?” He goes, “No. I can’t drive in your area.” That’s not true because I live in the area that’s usually accessible even for a large truck. It might be because he had other people that were meeting him there.
I told the guy that he needed to call the lady and gave him her number. I also gave him another number for when she doesn't answer. I typed up the address and sent it to him. I told him that he has to go to her home and drop the car off there. I checked with them before going and they have access. Four days later I get a call asking where he has to take the car and to call him back immediately. I was on a business trip so I couldn’t get back to them on that day. I texted because he texted me, and gave him the info he needed. I didn’t even get a confirmation that it was done until I was able to talk to the guy four days later. He didn’t even remember doing the delivery and had no record of it. The vehicle got there, but I don't know what condition it's in.
AmeriFreight called me as a follow-up. They asked about how their customer service was and I told them what happened. They said that they won’t use that vendor anymore. When it comes to filing the car, it’s just a capacity issue. They put it out on the board and people that they don’t really know can take the car. It seems like a recipe for disaster unless they have people that they use all the time, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend these guys. When we gave the vendor the car for shipping, a guy in a cut off t-shirt was there. He had his hands full of grease and doesn’t even speak English. He’s rushing and he’s waiting for the main guy to come back. I handed over the keys and I showed them the paperwork. I asked for some paperwork and I had to fill out something, then he marked down where the car had some scratches then handed it back to me. He was willing to just take the vehicle, hence he didn’t even know where it goes.
AmeriFreight was the only company that seemed to at least have a fair amount of paperwork. I looked at the things that they made me fill out, and theirs was better and they were at least buttoning up their liability. I appreciated the fact that they checked me through the process, but then they hire somebody and there’s no accountability. I had to pay extra since I paid upfront because the 93-year old lady was not going to have $725 in cash there. At the end, they charged me even more. They charged me extra to put it on my credit card. They charged me more because they had to carry the money and pay the freight guy instead of just taking their 300 bucks and then me paying 725 bucks cash to the guys at the end.
Now I know they do it because they can’t trust the guys who are picking up the car. All the brokers get their $300 bucks for the phone call right up front. That’s what they take via the credit card and so they’ve guaranteed their money. They have no real incentive to see it through except for good or bad reviews. It’s cash on the other hand and it’s weird. I’ve never shipped a car before and I had no idea that this was the process.

I called AmeriFreight directly, and it was my first time shipping the car so I had no idea what was supposed to go on. The transport organizer was very helpful and professional. He was able to find me a carrier very fast. He had someone that was willing to pick up my car the next week. The carrier driver was very cool and he showed up on time. The car got here before it was supposed to be here. Everything was good and the whole process took a little longer than normal because I had to go and leave. AmeriFreight prices are fair and their customer service is great.

AmeriFreight fit the time for when we needed it for moving and they had good reviews. Their rep called me with quotes and asked me what I thought about them. We worked from there and were generally on the same page. The quote was lower than the actual price but and they said that it was most likely because of the increased cost of gas. It wasn't too bad though, it wasn't way off. The process was pretty much straightforward and the rep gave us his recommendations. It was kind of a back and forth conversation. The driver called us and told us when he was coming by. It all worked out and it was painless. AmeriFreight has a pretty good process but getting quotes quickly could be improved, although that is a function of supply and demand.

Everything was good including with the transport organizer and the carrier driver who delivered the vehicle on time and close enough where I could get it to my house. It took eight days, all in all, from pickup to delivery and it went over by a day, but it’s not a big deal. Everybody was nice and my vehicle got here the way I shipped it. I'd say to a friend or family member, if they're looking for a shipping company, to consider AmeriFreight.

I purchased a vehicle online and the auction house was in St. George, Utah while I’m in North Central, Ohio, so I had to get the vehicle from there. I spent close to two weeks researching the auto transport business and I found that it is a dodgy group in general. Doing my homework, I found that virtually, all the places listed online were only brokers so regardless of what they were offering as far as cost goes, they put that out apparently. I went through a number of different websites that lists readings on the various trucking companies and consistently, I found that AmeriFreight listed at the top or was in the top three of any of them that I saw so I decided to go with them. They came in with a very low quote but I knew that I was going to have to wait until somebody took that quote and I was not going to necessarily get the best drivers or service.
I told their transport organizer that I was willing to pay a reasonable price to get good service so they got back with a higher quote on a Monday that was satisfactory to me. He was very prompt, seemed to be quite knowledgeable, and willing to share a lot of the information. They interfaced with the auction house and everything went very smoothly. The carrier driver was a husband-wife team. They picked up the vehicle on a Wednesday morning then they contacted me thrice and gave me updates as they were progressing across the country. They came in much faster than the initial amount of time indicated and when the smoke cleared, I got the vehicle here early Saturday morning or two days sooner than even their best estimates. When they got here unloading the vehicle, it was enjoyable. I’ve been extremely pleased them and with the service that I got from AmeriFreight.

And while I was able to take advantage of their free quote option, it ended up costing a lot more than I thought it would, but I was in a bind and they helped me out. The carrier driver who picked my car up was really nice. We drove up to Columbus to meet him, and although we had to wait a bit, it worked out. The whole process took a couple of weeks from the time I started talking to the people to the time I was able to retrieve the car here. Harry, their representative was both attentive and responsive. And while the car was very dirty, which is to be expected when you have an open carrier, it’s not messed up, it got here safe and sound, and it runs fine.

I purchased a vehicle from a family member who lived in New Jersey and I needed to ship it to California because it was non-operable. I found reviews online and called three or four companies. Ben, the organizer from AmeriFreight, was professional and helpful. He explained things well, including how things worked with brokers, how they help, and how he's going to take the quote and find something for me. He helped me understand what was going to happen. I would send him an email, and he’d respond promptly. I'd call and he’d answer quickly, too. It took some time to find someone to get the vehicle. It was very big and difficult to ship, and no one was bidding for the vehicle. It was a little frustrating, but AmeriFreight found and got a company and delivered the car. The night of the pickup was an interesting evening and Ben helped. He also helped figure out if the vehicle made it on to the truck the next day.
My cousins helped get the car and it was difficult to get the semi up the long driveway, so we had to get a tow truck, AAA, to pull the car out of where it was and get it loaded up. The carrier driver did what he could, waited and didn’t give up. I talked to him throughout his drive to see how things were going, and he kept me informed on where he was and the time he was going to deliver. The transport took seven days, which was roughly what Ben said it would take and AmeriFreight quoted less than what the vehicle got shipped for, but I was comfortable to pay the amount they wanted. I had a great experience. If family or friends needed a transport company to work with, AmeriFreight would be the company to call.

I'm in active military duty and I received orders to move from Washington to Reno, Nevada. In the military, the navy will only ship your vehicle if you’re going overseas or if you’re dead, so I had to come out of pocket ‘cause I had to go to training in New Orleans and I didn’t feel driving my vehicle all the way to New Orleans only to drive it all the way back up to Reno. I had looked at two other shipping companies and then I started to look at the Better Business Bureau. Looking at all the reviews, some people said that once the broker got a hold of the shipper and the shipper got a hold of the vehicle, they had a hard time getting a hold of the shipper through the broker and there was a disconnect. Eventually, I stumbled upon AmeriFreight online and gave them a call.
The broker that I spoke to, Harry, seemed like he’s knowledgeable and already knew the type of vehicle that I wanted to ship was a classic vehicle. It was a 1978 International Scout and I was very particular about who I’m going to let it ship with because I put a lot of time and effort, my own hard work into restoring that vehicle. He answered a lot of my questions, informed me about the insurance policy that they have as far as the coverage they would provide and it seemed a good deal. I had a seamless dealing with their transport organizer and I had a very good dealing with their carrier driver. The driver himself was very easy to work with. I had to change the pick-up destination, unfortunately, and he was completely cool with it.
The process took a week from start to finish. There was a guaranteed pick up rate initially and there is another rate where a shipper might pick it up for that price and I usually try to look for the better deal. I wasn't going to go for the guaranteed rate so it prolonged the process on my part. But even then, it all happened within reasonable time constraints and I didn’t miss my flight. I made it to training on time and my sister received the vehicle the next day. The driver literally just beelined straight from Everett, Washington to Reno, Nevada and it was great. It was a pleasurable experience and I would tell a friend that from my experience, AmeriFreight would be the best bet. It was a very reasonable price and the driver that they picked for me was very dependable, respectable and took very good care of my vehicle.

The quote I was given was a little higher than expected but that may be because my friend remembered the numbers incorrectly. I was slightly surprised by it but I went ahead with the process, and I paid a little bit more because my circumstances were a little inflexible and I didn't have the ability to take advantage of the cheaper options that were available. My interactions with my transport organizer, Larry, were all very positive. He was extremely pleasant and very responsive, and he got the job done. One time, I had trouble reaching the driver and I called Larry consecutively. It turned out that I copied down wrong the numbers that they gave me and they were very understanding of that.
My house here is in a slightly difficult-to-reach area and it’s down a very small street, so the carrier driver had to park his large truck a little ways away. AmeriFreight had good online reviews and they gave me a fair quote. And although I paid a little bit more in the end, I knew that was going to be the case. Their reps knew what they were doing and the driver I got showed up on time and did what he was supposed to do. From pickup to delivery, it took six days and my truck is safe. I'd recommend AmeriFreight to anyone who needs their service.

We were sending our son's car to him and I put an order with AmeriFreight in on a Friday. Daniel was my transport organizer and I had a good experience. And when I called someone else after hours, they were great as well. The bid was picked up the following Friday and that Sunday, the transport vehicle showed up and got to my son at 8 o'clock on the morning of Tuesday. It was quick and it was a good experience. The person that picked up the vehicle was excellent. We live 20 miles out of town in the mountains so it was really appreciated. The only drawback was AmeriFreight was a little more expensive than I had anticipated as I thought it was going to be closer to a $1,000.

We got a car in St. Louis for my son and had it shipped to him in Seattle. AmeriFreight gave a decent quote and they had good reviews, too, so we used them. Ben was their transport organizer and he did a good job. The only complaint I have about AmeriFreight was that the final bid came in about $200 higher than the estimated bid. We got quoted by $1,100 and it turned out to be $1,350. It was almost 20% of the total price, which to me, was a little bit high. In the future, they should try to get their estimates more aligned with what the actual was. But other than that, everything went fine. The car was delivered and the timing went well.

I went home for a few months in Miami and I was coming back to my home base. I had a bad experience last year with AmeriFreight. They said they were going to take credit card and then when I dropped off my car, they said I needed to pay. There was a miscommunication between the dispatcher and the driver. When he got to the destination place in North Dakota a few hours after, he needed to wait but he was okay since things happen when you’re driving.
I could’ve looked for a different company, but since no one wants to come to North Dakota, I had no choice but to have AmeriFreight ship my car. When they said it was going to be a different driver from a different company, it was even worse than the first time. I didn’t like that experience last month. It was different. The dispatcher was very kind and nice but my issue was the driver. He didn’t have good customer service. He took my car keys and didn’t even realize my daughter was still inside the car. Since my husband is military and is deployed right now so his supervisor was the person who was going to give me the favor to pick up the car because I was still in Miami. I told the driver that I wasn’t going to be in North Dakota and that it was going to be someone else, so he needed to tell me the date. He said it was going to take seven days and the latest was going to be on the 12th.
On the 12th, I had to call the driver and ask how much longer they were going to take. He said that he couldn't talk to me and that I needed to call Dennis, the person in charged. The communication was really bad. So I called Dennis and he said that it will be delivered the next day. I told Dennis that I needed to know the exact time because the person who will pick up the car is working at the time that he’s going to get to North Dakota. Dennis told me it will arrive at 3 pm the next day. The next day, my husband’s supervisor had to call Dennis, and Dennis said, “At 7:00 pm.” And then at 7:00 pm, I had to call Dennis and he never answered the phone. Somebody texted us and said the driver was going to get there at 11:00 pm. But I told Dennis that the pickup had to be during the day because we have to check the car. Those people were not professional at all. But the supervisor told me that the car was fine.

I’ve shipped a car with AmeriFreight two times and I knew how they worked and what the rate was going to be. When I booked a transport with them again, it was not difficult and their rep was a really nice guy. I waited until maybe a week or so before I needed the car picked up. The driver I got was great. He pulled up, we got it done and he left. The process took five days and I had a no-hassle experience. I would recommend AmeriFreight because they were easy to deal with, they did a good job and I had a good quote. My boss recommended them to me so he used them too.

AmeriFreight had high rankings online, and their transport organizer was honest and everything he said came true. They got haulers and I'm okay with them. The trucking company turned out to be from Miami which is less than a hundred miles from Marathon where I live. I talked to the guys and the driver while they were hauling, and they worked with me. AmeriFreight was fair with me from the way I see how the whole operation works.

I was moving and needed to ship my vehicle. I took whoever had the lowest quote. The driver picked up my vehicle on the 4th and I didn’t get it until the 12th. That was the timeframe that they had set originally, but because he picked it up earlier, I would have assumed that it would have been delivered earlier instead of sitting out in Pennsylvania. When I called the driver to see how much longer, he said that he had dropped off my vehicle but no one has called me.
I had called the place and they said that it still won’t be delivered until the following day or two days. I was not happy. The person I spoke with said that I can’t listen to what the driver says and he can’t make any promises. I didn't like the attitude or the response. I said the driver called and picked up my vehicle early so, if he said that it’s going to be here at this time, I would assume that I can trust what the driver of my car is saying but apparently, not so much for the company. I didn’t understand why him picking up my vehicle early would still delay my vehicle from getting to me so I was required to rent a car for an additional two days because my vehicle wasn’t delivered.
AmeriFreight had my money in so it didn’t really matter when my vehicle was delivered. I kind of feel like if need be I had paid once my car arrives, then it probably would have come earlier just because they would have wanted the money. I give them $1,350 upfront and then they just deliver my car when they choose to is not acceptable. I’m very dissatisfied with my experience.

Another transport company was very unreliable that it got up to the deadline when I was supposed to move my stuff, and they still hadn't committed on a driver and what time they were going to be there. I called AmeriFreight and they were great. They responded and picked up the car the same day. They were awesome. The transport organizers were very courteous. They worked with me very well and gave me advice on how best they could get someone to pick up the car, including increasing the price a little bit given the shipment was last-minute. The quote was on the higher side but given the last-minuteness of it, it was fair. They worked and coordinated between me and the company very well so I was very impressed.
Also, the driver was good although he ended up charging me an extra $100 because he said my car was over 100 pounds. I had some stuff in the car and the contract says I can bring up to 100 pounds. I don't know how he knew that by just looking at the car. They also need to make sure they know where they're going before they deliver the product. There was a planning issue during the delivery. One thing that threw me off was when they couldn't get to the house. I understand folks can't get down every street but we need to know ahead of time so we can plan. They had to pull me away to come meet them in a different location with the car. Other than that, the experience with AmeriFreight was okay.

I was relocating and had to do priority scheduling with AmeriFreight. I had to specify a delivery and pick-up date so the quote wasn't accurate but it wasn't a big deal. The agent I worked with was Daniel and she was great, responsive, did a great job of keeping me up to date and provided me with all the necessary information. AmeriFreight was quick to respond both by phone and email and my experience was great but the coordination between the carrier and the actual customer could have been better.
The day that the carrier had switched the vehicle around and re-order them before taking off, my vehicle got a minor damage in the process. I explained to him the different controls of the vehicle and told him he had to make sure it doesn't get damaged. But I wasn't there so I can't assume what happened. Then he was three days late and I didn't get any heads up, which is a little bit annoying. Apparently, there was a situation where he took a long time delivering a certain vehicle in the Nevada and I understand that happens but I wasn't updated at all on that. The vehicle was supposed to arrive Saturday when originally it was supposed to arrive Thursday. I told the dispatcher and made sure that Saturday is the better time for me because I will be home but the carrier didn't show up until Sunday morning. It wasn't AmeriFreight's fault and I was in touch with the dispatcher throughout but I wasn't really given an accurate estimated time of arrival.

I bought a new vehicle and gave the old one to my son. I needed to get it from Nevada to West Virginia where my son was, so I looked into two or three transport companies. Later, my son did the same thing and came up with AmeriFreight so I called them and did the deal through email. I signed things, scanned them and sent them back and it was very easy. They quoted me a price that they were going to sort it out there which they did. I also gave them a window for pickup and they were on time. The driver had a nice and clean truck. Mechanically, seem to be extremely well, professional and planned. There was never a hiccup on either end and I just went with it.
The driver on the other end was very pleasant too. He called my son and said he didn’t want to bring his big truck into the cul-de-sac and asked if my son could meet him. It was about three miles from my son’s house but it was much easier for both of them. I even told the driver when he left here to make arrangements to meet in the big parking lot and that’s exactly what happened. It turned out to be really good. Also, everybody who I worked with was very professional and well-spoken. I would recommend them. Everything were on time, well done and I’m totally pleased.

I had an old family vehicle that I needed to get shipped. I spent about three months just looking at different freight companies. I looked up AmeriFreight on ConsumerAffairs and decided to go with them. They don't really fit the price of what market is. They'll tell you what the drivers will carry for and they're pretty upfront. They'll tell you that the economy is thrice the others and even their website said 25% of the vehicles get picked up at the talking rate. And then their guarantee was only $300-$400 more.
They were pretty honest and the company that I was going with before was charging $700-$800 but I looked up their reviews and it's horrible. They will try to get you into the system and then they will ask you to pay $500 more when it's time to pick up the vehicle. It's very dishonest. The companies set the price and the common rate was between $1,200 and everybody was giving me $100 to $200 dollars more on that. I've read reviews where the car was delivered to the wrong state and another review where the car won't be delivered until it is paid twice than what was agreed. In addition, every time I call, I'd talk to someone whose accent is other than American and I hate it.
The rep I spoke with from AmeriFreight wasn't pushy and he explained how it works. They picked the vehicle up about six days earlier and he said that if I could get the car ready in two hours, they'd pick it up the same day. They picked it up on a Friday and it was delivered on a Wednesday which was 5 days earlier. The driver called me about two hours out and then he was there in about an hour and a half. We arranged for a place to pick up that had a parking lot big enough for him to maneuver. He dropped it off, I signed the paper and gave him the money. Their quote in the beginning was spot on. If you get amazing deals from companies, you need to be cautious. If I ever ship a vehicle, I would use AmeriFreight.

These things don't always go exactly as planned and they're always seemed to be some adjustment and movements around it. We ended up having to ship the car later than anticipated, so the cost was a little bit higher than the quote they gave me. But the carrier driver was great. He was super helpful and very responsible. He got my car here in great condition.
Although there was no damage to my vehicle, they did deflate and inflate my tire. One of my tires was 80 pounds and that could blow it. I was driving on the highway and that could have killed me. My son is in the military and he was coming home from Tajikistan. He is from the central coast, but he's now stationed out of North Carolina. So, we had to ship the vehicle from here to North Carolina and AmeriFreight was recommended to him by some of his other buddies. He got the quote from the transport organizer, George, and then they bumped it up an extra 100 bucks. I wasn't cool with it especially for somebody who's serving the country, but he needed the vehicle.
My son organized online and then I worked with the person to get it to the transport driver. Originally, there were two people in charge of this whole thing. One of the gals called to tell me that they got a quote and it's in four days. She also said that they only got one person and wanted to accept but wanted 11. However, I was at work and I had my phone in my key and I didn't have my computer. So I told her to give me a couple of hours since I wasn't done with work yet.
Then 30 minutes later, I got a call from George telling me that we needed to say yes to it. He was trying to hurry me up, look at it and say yes because the driver was going to be calling around and trying to fill up that truck. They were supposed to give me a couple of days notice, so I then asked him what would happen if I don't accept this soon and wait for the next one. He insisted that we say yes since the truck driver was going to pick it up the next day. He also said that he wasn't trying to pressure me, but I felt pressured. Just because I had my son's credit card, we need you to say yes and we need to make a payment.
It was supposed to be five to seven days from the time the driver picked it up to when it was delivered. However, the carrier driver was running late and asked me if I could do it the next day. But, I asked him to let me know if he's in Salinas so I have an idea of how far away he was. I met him where he was going to pick up another vehicle and I drove another 15 minutes at 10 o'clock at night so that I could get that Jeep on that truck, and he was very appreciative of that. He was very professional and courteous. My son wasn't home yet from overseas, so he had to drop it off at a buddy's house and I had to mail the key. I'm just thankful and happy that it made it there. He said everything went smoothly and the jeep was fine.

He planned out everything more than the inspector I had on the car. He pointed out things that were wrong and the scratches. He wanted to make sure that I knew that he wasn't the guy who did that.
The father and son team was good and they were both the drivers. It took eight days from beginning to end. The process was quick but it would also be good if they would give a better update in terms of where the truck was and when they're going to show up. But I understand that's a logistics issue. Online would have been better, so I can see where they were and know when to call them or it could also be an alert when they're 100 miles away. It would have been a little easier versus guessing. I know the guy was an independent contractor that was working with AmeriFreight and I can’t say enough good things about that guy. It was an excellent experience. They were very professional, timely and it’s exactly as I expected.

I was moving and I needed to ship my vehicle from New York to California. I took advantage of AmeriFreight's free quote and the one they gave me was the fee that I paid. I originally emailed them since I used them in the past. They then called me and we went over the figures. They told me that they would be in touch when they found a company and then they followed up within a day. The carrier drivers were responsive when they said that they were going to pick the vehicle up and drop it off in the window that they gave so that was excellent. AmeriFreight is great and my experience with them was exceptional. I’ll continue to use them as needed.

I had to bring a GTO from Florida down to South Dakota because I transferred work. I called many other companies but I didn't feel comfortable with some of the people I spoke to on the phone. Then I talked to "Jorge or George" from AmeriFreight and he made me feel comfortable. He discussed the process a lot more professionally and you know they were concerned about your car. Little things like that make a difference. He did a very good job. I got the car about four days from Florida to South Dakota so that was pretty good. Everything worked out.
I would highly recommend AmeriFreight to anybody moving a car. It was a great experience and I have no complaints at all. They are trustworthy and they did what they said. The money was exactly how much it cost on the quote which was anywhere from $700 to $1,600. I also liked that they put it in writing. I would use them again.

My vehicle was being barged from Alaska to Seattle until I needed a truck to bring my truck from Seattle to Minnesota because I couldn't fly out and get it. I had a family member who recommended AmeriFreight and she had a good experience with them. The quote that AmeriFreight emailed to me was good and I even ended up paying less than what I was quoted. It's nice that it wasn't overestimated for me personally.
I also had a good interaction with the transport guy. He was knowledgeable and was able to tell me about the different prices and different shipment options. We played phone tag a little bit because we were in different time zones but I always heard back as I gave a call or an email. I picked an option and he updated me when a transporter was able to bid on it and finalize the price. He also gave me the trucker's number. The driver was great. He was super nice and helpful. He took good care of my stuff. I definitely had a good experience with AmeriFreight and I would use them again.

We used AmeriFreight because of their ratings with the Better Business Bureau and ConsumerAffairs when we moved out of state and needed to ship the car. Their quote was accurate and Harry, our organizer, was very helpful. He walked me through the process on how there was a bid that goes out for the car. He said, "If you pay this price, there's no fluctuation. But if you go at the lower rate, it could take longer." He also walked us through timing and pricing and how it works. It was helpful when you are trying to budget. Other carriers did not go through that. They just said, "This is the price." It made me understand the whole system and it made the decision easier to pay a bit more because of timing. Also the driver called when he picked up and delivered the car and he was prompt.

I needed to ship a car to my mother and I had talked to a couple of other transport companies. The first group that I had talked with never got back with me so that’s when I started searching for other options. I became very comfortable with AmeriFreight's sales rep. After my first experience which wasn’t very good I was happy to find somebody that was diligent and followed up. Also I really liked the driver that came. He did a great job loading the car up and got us all set. It was a very good experience given that some of the other transport companies that you can work with, I would refer to them as the Wild Wild West and I felt that this group, like the agent that I went through, didn’t behave like that.

I researched on various auto shipping companies and looked at websites where they were rated by consumers including the Better Business Bureau. I decided that AmeriFreight was the best choice. We used them to ship my daughter’s vehicle from our home near St. Petersburg, Florida to New Brunswick, New Jersey where she is a doctoral student. I was very impressed with my initial conversation with the agent whom I dealt with and I also appreciated the honesty of the agent whom I spoke with in terms of my need for additional insurance. He was very reassuring that in the vast majority of cases, the kind of damage for which I was purchasing additional insurance did not occur during their transports. I opted to take that insurance and decided to move forward, and it impressed me that the agent was more concerned about my getting the best price than selling additional insurance to me.
Also, I took advantage of their online quote and the price was far more competitive than other highly-rated auto transport companies that I researched. My wife also dealt with the carrier driver on our end in Florida, as did my daughter because she was still there. They were impressed that he was extremely accommodating. He explained what would occur and when we should expect to have the delivery of the vehicle in New Jersey. On the other end, my daughter received the car and was pleased with her interactions with the driver and with the experience of the delivery in general. Everything went well. We were very pleased from the initial phone call with the agent to the delivery in New Jersey and in all aspects of AmeriFreight's service and its contracted driver. Keep up the good work.

AmeriFreight was the cheapest when I had to transport my car. The guy who helped me out did a good job. I'm in law school and he was able to work on my schedules. However, AmeriFreight should speed up the actual time for pick up. It'd be nice to have your car picked up the next day instead of waiting for a few days. Also, I had parked a truck in a small street and the driver couldn't go in there. But other than that, he was good.

I needed to ship my vehicle from San Jose, California to Anacortes, Washington. I Googled and found AmeriFreight. I called them and it worked. I was given a free quote but there was some confusion surrounding it. It has something to do with the initial quote and how it was broken down. When the carrier replied on what they could do somehow the fee increased. However, he explained that it was still below the market price. The process was not as smooth and clearly communicated as could have been like from Gecko, which explained it afterwards and I took it for what it was. I appreciate that we are still getting lower than retail but there's something about how it's broken down like AmeriFreight's cut of it and how much goes to the carrier.
The transport organizer got some of the information wrong which is a little frustrating. From Gecko, it was just hard wrapping his mind around whatever he's getting. But at the end of the day, we got two good conclusions so it worked fine. My interactions with the carrier driver were great. When he picked it up, we loaded it up perfectly. Then we had dinner together, it was easy. It was perfect timing when my dad picked it up on the other side. I'd highly recommend them. The process took about two days from when it was picked up to when it was dropped off. It was awesome. It has been fast and direct and everything that needed to be done was done.

The carrier driver was friendly and nice. I was at work when he was in the general facility so he delivered my vehicle to my work. I'm happy with the overall shipping but the price paid was quite above the quote. It was about two times the quoted price given me. Still, the delivery went perfectly fine and there was no damage to the vehicle. They were quick, convenient and excellent.

I used AmeriFreight many times before and I've been very happy with them. They have been fast and the prices have been competitive. I switched schools and I moved and I used them again to ship my car from the East Coast to Utah. I got a pretty good quote and I didn't feel like I was paying too much. However, the transporter was nothing like the one I've used before. He was 8 hours late when he picked the car up. He said he had to pick up the truck from the shop and then he was going to come at 3:00. There was a schedule for the morning and before noon, but he ended up coming at 9:30. And I had a friend who was waiting for him to hand the car over. When he picked it up, he didn't do the inspection, too. He said it was too dark so he couldn't see anything.
We went through the same problem with the delivery. He called me on a Sunday and said that I should be ready to pick up the car at 6:00. I was waiting for him and he called me at 6 am and said that he was going to be there at 7:00. And at 7:00, he called me and said he would be there at 8:00. And then he pushed it and ended up delivering it at 11:30. I told him to tell me if he’s going to be late because I had school the next day and I needed to go to bed. When he delivered it, there was no inspection because he said he didn't do it the first time, so there was nothing to inspect. I had to sign because I already wanted my car.
But the worst part was he tried to charge me another $300 because I had stuff in my car. He said that's how AmeriFreight does it and he wouldn't hand over the car unless I paid him $300. He was almost blackmailing me and I've recorded the whole conversation. I told him I’d call the police and he ended up letting me have my car and I paid him the initial amount that we agreed on. I didn't know if the car got scratches and it was crazy. I was very surprised because I've had a completely opposite experience with them before when the driver was early. I would definitely never use the carrier that I recently used and I would be hesitant to pick AmeriFreight again because of the incident of having a bad driver. But AmeriFreight is a good company and I liked it.

I took advantage of their free quote option, but they were off by $200 above the original quote that they gave me. It was $1,000 but it ended up around $1,200. They had a shipper who would do it for that price on that date and they said that if I wanted to take it, I could.
Also, their customer service was great. Their transport organizer was great as well and he called me a couple of times. He told me that they were half an hour out, but it was close to the approximate time he gave me the day before. On the other hand, it was my mother-in-law who dealt with the carrier driver and it was my daughter on the other end, but I spoke with the driver on the phone a couple of times. We were moving from Los Angeles to Nashville. My husband’s schedule was pretty tight and so, instead of driving, he flew. Instead of driving, we chose AmeriFreight to take care of the move. They were one of the top three companies when I was doing web research. I talked to AmeriFreight and they gave me an initial quote but the quote was not accurate. It was my first time shipping a car and I was not really well-versed in the whole way that cars get shipped, how they upload onto the driver’s database. Drivers don’t pick up and they don’t confirm that they’re going to get your car until a day or two before they do it. I was quite uncomfortable with that process and I was told that it was how it works so the quote that they gave me was their first round. They said that if no one picked it up, then they would have to increase the price. We were moving the next day and I had been on the phone with them.
I’ve called every day for a week straight trying to get some answers, trying to find out when they are going to get my car. We planned everything else on this move except the car. It was very frustrating. Eventually, within 24 hours of our move, they got someone to pick up the car. They called me that morning and said that they could come pick it up four hours after that but they had to top up the price and so, we ended up paying significantly more than we had originally been quoted. They explained how brokers work but I was surprised. The guy in charge of our car said that I won’t be hearing from him until a week before the move although I’ve reached to them five weeks in advance. Then the guy ended up quitting or being fired and left the company. The move didn’t get reassigned right away but I was very diligent in calling them lots and lots of times. They realized it was unassigned and wasn’t really moving.
Then they started reaching out to the drivers and the guy told me initially, “If you have to start reaching out to the drivers, then it’s kind of like you’re desperate… and obviously, they’re going to charge more.” That’s exactly what has happened to me. However, they made it there quickly and I appreciate that. During the pick-up, when the guy came, my husband and I were joking around with each other that maybe they stole our car. We felt like we just handed over some money and our car to someone. He was nice and he didn’t speak English very well. And we thought he was going to come with a big car hauler, but he just came by himself because he said the car hauler was further away. And so, he just took an Uber to our house and then drove our car away. It was very strange to us. We did not feel secure in the trip or process. We just thought to ourselves, “Well, we hope for the best.”

My son was relocating to go to college in Seattle and we had his car shipped out so we do not have to worry about him driving across the country by himself. There were a couple issues with AmeriFreight. When the quote was originally posted, the organizer explained to me that we may have to go up a little bit in order to get somebody to accept it. The original quote started at $1,500 then he said to look at the average at what's going based on some history that he had.
It got closer to the day where we needed the vehicle to get shipped and nobody accepted the quote. He called me and said, “Well, we probably need to up it a little bit,” then we upped it a little bit and still nothing. I started thinking, “Okay. Is this how this game is going to be played where they're going to keep bringing the price up?” We ended up going up a little bit more and it went in finally. The quote was more than what the organizer originally told me. It was probably half that and the organizer said, “Oh, normally, you have to go up about $200.” We ended up going about $400 more and I felt like I was taken advantage of. But they got me in the bind already and I had to ship the car that day.
The other issue was after the quote was accepted we had a very difficult time getting a hold of the truck dispatcher. The organizer gave me a number. I called that number to set up where the vehicle is going to get picked up and it just went to a voicemail which wasn’t even a company voicemail. I reached this number, left several messages and never heard back. After the individual at AmeriFreight finally got a hold of the driver and the driver ended up calling. He got a hold of my wife but it was at the time I was out of the country. It's a bit unnerving since the coordination between the driver and myself as the customer seemed to be a little disorganized.
The other thing that surprised me was we had a brush guard on the front of our Jeep truck. When my son brought the vehicle to the location for pickup, the drivers told me that I never said there was a brush guard and I told them that I didn’t know that was important since they never asked. I don’t know if they have a checklist that they follow. But there wasn’t a problem loading the vehicle and the vehicle went fine with no damage. Time-wise and everything else was good. It got there in the time that they said it would and it was dropped off without any problems.

The rep and I had a great communication and she was very helpful. The driver was not very on time, though, maybe because of traffic, but I knew that the time might change so I didn’t have plans that day and I was just waiting for him. Initially, I told AmeriFreight that I go to work everyday so I asked if the delivery could be after 6:00. They told me I can’t arrange a time for delivery. Then the driver said he will contact me to arrange a time that is good for me to drop off the car, but he never called. So I was not so happy with him.
When I got the vehicle, it had little scratches on the plastic part in front and on the window but I’m trying not to claim anything because that takes time. Maybe they took the car on the track and used something to wrap it. Also, in the end, what I paid them was a little higher than the price quoted. Besides that, everything was perfect. I needed a transport company and AmeriFreight seemed to have reasonable internet reviews. I originally made a request for my car to be transported from Manhattan to Naples. Harry ** was very professional and nice, and stayed in touch with me. The gentleman who did the transporting had a hundred percent rating, which was great because when you trust your possessions to someone, you want as high rating as possible. He was very nice and polite. He picked up the car and he was on time.
We were in a hotel that was along Gulf Shore Drive and there was a lot of rain so there was flooding and this particular roadway didn't allow semis, which I did not know. The gentleman brought me my car himself, which was very admirable. The problem was he had greasy hands, so he left greasy marks along the area where my right hand reaches over while driving to pull the belt across. I got most of it off, but not all. There were a couple of other slightly dirtiest place and I noticed that the gasoline was a little lower than it should have have been.
Another qualm I have was the original price quoted was $750 and the actual price was $1,250, which is a very large disparity. We also had to pay cash. In a world today where everybody takes credit and debit cards and they only take cash, it really shocked me. I'm one of those people who don't carry cash and it would have been much more convenient to pay using a charge card. But otherwise, the job was professional and the service was a good, solid satisfaction. No problem with most of AmeriFreight's duties.

I've dealt with AmeriFreight before so I went with them when I moved to another state. The organizer helped me out when it came down to finding the driver and having everything completed until the end. The driver kept in contact with me and told me when he was within 10 minutes of the destination. It was a quick, easy and hassle-free experience.

I was moving from California to Georgia and AmeriFreight seem to have a good review especially for veterans. I was happy with the quote but the quote wasn’t really consistent with the price I ended up paying. The price was way over. It was three weeks out when I got the quote to when I actually shipped. They put it out for the quote amount and the carriers bid on it and there was nothing AmeriFreight can do. But they shipped it so I appreciated that. Their rep got me what I needed in the end. It was a smooth process. The driver showed up at the time they gave me. He inspected the vehicle thoroughly, loaded it on and communicated with the destination where I was having it delivered. My car was safe when it got there. AmeriFreight is a good transport carrier. I was satisfied but I wasn’t totally happy because the price jumped.

I needed to get my vehicle from Santa Cruz to Atlanta. I searched around and AmeriFreight was the second one to get back to me and they had a good rate. I got an estimate beforehand, they didn't charge me for a quote and it was exactly what I had to pay. The entire process took three or four days. Everything was nice as far as dealing with everybody. They responded to my calls when I called them. Also, the carrier-drivers were nice and polite. However, they screwed up my car. They hooked the jumper cables up the wrong way and blew up the charging system.
I'm still trying to find out exactly what they did. I've replaced a couple of fuses and the main alternator fuse. AmeriFreight jumped the car three times while they had it so I knew it ran. They had to move it a couple of times off the trailer. They called me even. But that last night when they were trying to get it off, they were like, "Oh, we can't get it to start. That's weird. It ran before." And then, when I had somebody look at it, they found that the charging system had been fried. Somebody had hooked the jumper cable up backwards. My mechanic looked at that and said that's the only way the system could have been fried. I didn't find out about the problem until after they were gone and I was disappointed that they left the car on the side of the road after they couldn't get a jump. They were like, "Okay. You're problem now." And then, they left.
I was happy overall. I don't blame the whole company for what a couple of screw ups did. I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with the system. But I'm going to tell my friends not to let them jump the car. But they did a fine job of getting the car from point A to point B. It came with no external damage. They didn't scratch it or break anything that I could see externally.

AmeriFreight looked like a more experienced company than most of the others that I found. It took about two weeks to get the final okay from me. It was more about the pricing and they kept calling me from different transport carriers so we could find a better price. I trusted one which had its own fair share of bad reviews but nothing as terrible and worse and ridiculous like the others. I negotiated for a better deal and received my car within four days from halfway across the country. But AmeriFreight should do a bit of better explaining of how the process works. I thought they were just quickly going through how it was going to be trying to make a buck. After I experienced it all though, it was exactly how they said it would be.

We moved and had to ship the vehicle. Based on the price (which was good) and research, we ended up using AmeriFreight’s services. The transport organizer was helpful, prompt, followed up and stayed on top of things. Also, the carrier driver stayed in communication with us the whole time and kept us abreast of what was going on. They were good, the whole thing from pick up to delivery took 48hrs.

My daughter was going to college in Florida, so we shipped the vehicle there. The process took 3 weeks total with AmeriFreight. They sat on my car for a little while before they put it up on the board. Then, within two days of putting it on the board, they picked up the car. My car was shipped from California to Florida in four days. It was fast. Plus, their driver had a good personality. When he picked up the car, he let us watch and ask all kinds of questions about what he was doing. He also told us where he was going next and what his schedule was like. That was awesome. I had a great experience with AmeriFreight and I would do it again with them.

My wife was moving from Ohio to Virginia and needed to ship the car. AmeriFreight has a free quote option and the price was a little bit lower in the end. It took about a week from the time it was picked up to the time it was dropped off. The organizer guy was professional, courteous, and I was amazed. Then the driver was on time and there was no damage to the vehicle.

I did some research and what AmeriFreight had to say impressed me. They explained a lot about the process and their Better Business Bureau rating convinced me that they’re a pretty good outfit. The representative explained things in very clear terms and answered all my questions. The carrier was very careful and very efficient. I observed what they were doing and I thought they did their job well. Overall, I was quite pleased with the service.

I have a daughter who goes to school in California and we needed the car shipped there. I looked at a website and read reviews and feedback. I called two places -- AmeriFreight and another company. When I called AmeriFreight I spoke with a rep and he said, “I would guarantee the price, what we see is what it is. There's no wiggle room." The quote they gave was fair. So, I decided to move forward with them. The driver was very polite and professional. He was where he said he was going to be at the time that he would be there. So, it was very smooth. He was also quick because he got to cross the country in seven or eight days. It was faster than I thought it would be. I was so happy that I think once my daughter graduated from school, I'll use the same company to send the car back. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole process and the experience was A+++.

The quote that AmeriFreight gave me was around $750, but the real price ended up around $1,075 which was $300 more than the quote. But everything with the transport organizer was clear and nice. Also, the driver called me when they picked up my vehicle and I was in contact with them every day until we got it back. Plus, they delivered it earlier than I expected. It was an amazing experience overall.

AmeriFreight was the most competitive and it was easy to get in contact with them. They responded quickly and their website had good information. The rep took care of everything. He walked me through what was going to happen and what needed to happen. So, from a customer service perspective, I was really pleased. Also, the driver was very accommodating and flexible. My walk away impression of the whole process was favorable. They did a good job of setting expectations and then following through. They made it very easy and didn't require a lot of learning on my part.

I needed to pick up a vehicle in Niagara Falls, New York and bring it to Missouri. AmeriFreight was on the internet and they had very good reviews, and the reviews even said that the customers were happy with them, so I chose them. I took advantage of their free quote option and it was fair. They also delivered in a timely manner and did a good job. I expect companies to do what you pay them for and AmeriFreight delivered everything they said they would do.
Also, I did this once about three years ago with a different company and I didn't have a result as nearly good as this. The last time a freight company shipped my vehicle, it had damage and they tried to tell me that it was way beforehand. I had pictures of it and I knew it wasn't, but it was more trouble than it was worth to try to pursue it. But with AmeriFreight, it was good. The people who held my car were very kind and courteous. They called me about three times during their trip to let me know where they were and when they would be there. Their transport organizer had sincere honesty as well and they were concerned whether I was satisfied or not, and I was. I was very happy with their service all the way through.

We bought a new vehicle from out of state and selected AmeriFreight due to the reviews online. I received quotes from a couple of different places and AmeriFreight's was competitive. I spoke with their transport organizer a few times to schedule and when I had another question, and he was responsive. I also received a warning from the driver telling me they were gonna be there in 30 minutes. Everything was smooth as expected. The experience was easy, seamless, and affordable.

My son joined the army in September of 2016. When he got to his first duty station in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, we needed to get his truck to him. We did a little research and we found that AmeriFreight has the best reviews online. We got a free quote from them and took advantage of their military discount. We had an excellent time talking to their transport organizer. The driver who came was fabulous too. If we have to ship a vehicle again, we will definitely do it through this company.

I live on the East Coast and had a car I liked in California so I had AmeriFreight ship that car. Their was friendly, though I had to call initially when I didn't hear back. They quoted me a good price but that ended up delaying the delivery for a month and the cost ended up being what I could have paid for another company. They let me know the risk of it, but they could have been more forward with how realistic that lower price was. I told the rep that I cared more about the price versus the time. But at the end of the day, I couldn't wait any longer and I raised my price.
I talked to AmeriFreight in the beginning of July and got the car in the beginning of August. It felt like they lowballed the base minimum of $800 and stated whatever it was initially to get customers in the door. It was part of their strategy and if that wasn't going to happen, they could let the consumer know. If I'm delayed two weeks more, I'm fine with that. But they pushed me to the limit where I really needed the car at a certain date at that point. And so, I ended up paying what I probably could have paid initially and then just get the car sooner.

Plus, the driver was great and I had positive interactions with the transport organizer.

I needed to get my vehicle from College Station, Texas to California where my daughter is. AmeriFreight put a bid out for the price that I was looking for and they were able to work with me on that, though it was a little bit higher than the initial quote I got. The whole process took eight days. The transport organizer was very knowledgeable, stayed in contact with me throughout the process, kept me up to date a couple of times when I had to call him with questions, and he was very responsive and had the answers that I needed. The driver contacted me ahead of time and gave me a window of when he would be here the next day. Then he contacted me an hour before getting there. He showed up right on time. He was very experienced and professional in getting the vehicle loaded up.
The pick up went extremely smoothly and there was no damage, but the drop off took a little bit longer than we had been expecting. We were delivering to a military installation and we had some very specific directions about where it had to go because there's only one gate there that allowed delivery. However, they didn't go to that one and the vehicle almost didn't fit in the gate. By the time I pulled up to it, people have pulled in behind them and they caused a huge traffic jam and bunch of people were late to work. They almost were unable to deliver it and the military police were unhappy with my son-in-law who was out there. Other than that, the quality of their service is good and they have reasonable prices.

Our daughter was moving to California for grad school and she wanted to take her car with her. We did an analysis of shipping it or driving it and we decided to ship it. There were two transport companies that were rated the best on the internet and AmeriFreight gave me the best price. Their transport organizer was very good. He was prompt and responsive, and I liked him a lot. The carrier driver was fine as well. The only problem was that he had a very strong accent and I had a hard time understanding him. But other than that, he was friendly and efficient. The car was delivered fine and got there a little earlier than we thought. I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight and if I had to ship another car, I would go with them. They were very positive, responsible, and experienced.

AmeriFreight had the best reviews online. They had the most successful undamaged transportations that I could find. The price was great and the response was fast. I called in the morning and they had somebody pick the car up that evening. The car arrived in Indiana two days early. They were extremely fast. The transport organizer answered all of my questions and communicated with me throughout the process. The driver himself didn't speak very good English and I'm terrible with Spanish so the organizer was also my translator. I just wish there's an online tracking or another way to track your vehicle other than calling the driver personally. Other than that, everything was great.

I was moving at that time and researching for transport companies was very intimidating because there were so many websites for the pros and cons. Somehow some of these companies saturate certain websites to make them look like they have more ratings and deciding on one is a leap of faith. AmeriFreight seemed good and their website seemed pretty legitimate. Afterwards, I spoke with a representative there and asked a lot of questions. He was willing to answer them so then I decided I’m in.
However, we had a really narrow margin and I got nervous because somebody called to say my car was going to arrive on a certain day but the rep wasn’t from AmeriFreight. Then I called AmeriFreight and they cleared everything up. They said I was given wrong information and my car came a day earlier than it was supposed to, so I was happy anyway.
This was not my first rodeo and I’ve actually had cars hauled across country before a few times. Usually, I do it with the relocation service but this particular company didn't have a relocation service so I had to figure this out. I wasn’t particularly happy with the carrier that the relo company gave us either, so I wasn’t going to use them again. But I have another car that I need to travel across country with and I’m going to call AmeriFreight again. I would definitely recommend them to a friend too.
