I bought a vehicle and needed to ship it. AmeriFreight had good reviews, so I hired them to do it for me. They quoted me $750 and I ended up paying almost $1,200. It was about 30% more and wasn't as close as I wanted it to be. They said it was because they couldn't find anybody to get it for what was quoted. Other than that, the transport organizer I worked with was very good and really followed through. She communicated very well and let me know every step of the way. AmeriFreight also had the best additional insurance options.

AmeriFreight's price met my needs and I paid almost the exact quote in the end. I had a little bit of issue with the lady about when my car was gonna be picked up, but we worked everything out. The driver was fine and he already had my car unloaded for me by the time I got there. Everything went fine.

I was moving my life to the West coast and I needed a transport service. Based on consumer feedback reviews, AmeriFreight was consistent in their price and turnaround, and their follow ups were pretty strong, so I went with them. The initial quote they gave me was a value quote and it was not what I needed. I needed the more accurate time of pickup and delivery and that required a higher quote which was still very consistent with the competition out there.
Their reps stayed in contact with me through the pickup process and once the car was picked up by the driver, I was given the driver's contact information, who did a great job in staying in contact via text over the five days he drove across countries. So, I knew where they were as well as what time they were showing up. He was very prompt with his responses and very accurate with the timing, too. It was stressful to give your car to somebody you don’t know and hope for the best, but the driver interacted with me during the entire time and my representative at the company followed up after that point to make sure that there was no damage to the car when I received it. So, everything went well and I’d recommend them.

The reviews for AmeriFreight were way better than those for any of the other competitors that reached out to me. The person I worked with was also very professional. She definitely understood what I was asking for. There were things that I didn’t understand in how the process worked and she was very easy to speak with and to get things done. I shipped from a previous residence across the country and it took approximately a week. But in the long run, I shouldn’t have contacted AmeriFreight at all and just went directly through the broker. But working with AmeriFreight was a very positive experience and the experience with the carrier was a different thing. There was disinterest in looking to find out how they could answer my questions, which were very basic. On the other hand, AmeriFreight knows what they're doing with the industry. They're the best to answer any questions and help you along the way.

I just bought a vehicle out of state. I went on transport reviews and AmeriFreight was very highly rated. They were able to get a driver available within a fairly close range of what my budget was. They had it set up and had it transported from point A to point B within three days which is pretty good for a 3,000 mile trip. I’ve used transport companies before and I’ve had a couple different companies I’ve used in the past, but this one we got lucky with the driver being as fast as he was because normally they don’t get from Florida to California in three days.
The transport organizer, Samantha, was also very pleasant, professional and helpful. She kept me posted with every step of the way like what was going on and who I can contact for questions in there. Once they secured the driver they had everything set up for me and it was all very straightforward and easy to understand. It was clearly relayed as far as what to expect.
A lot of times, what I found is that the drivers don’t always have English as their primary language. They might speak English as a second language. So sometimes it’s hard to communicate with them. But we were able to get through the language barrier and communicate fine. We didn’t have any hiccups or misunderstandings or delays in contacting one another or getting the heat in the vehicle because of it. So it all went okay.
I had a phone number to contact them if I had any questions. And then they called me the night before they were gonna be able to drop the vehicle off just to make sure that I was gonna be available at that time. I was able to free up my schedule to be there. I felt comfortable with the experience. I was pleasantly surprised that it only took three days to get the vehicle here and it arrived safely. The vehicle arrived in a good shape.

My daughter got a job offer and she was moving from Cary, North Carolina to Santa Clara, California. So, I shipped her car there and I did it through AmeriFreight since they responded rapidly. Maybe I could've gotten a better price from others but for the price I paid AmeriFreight, the service that I received from them was more than fair. My daughter said that the driver communicated well before the drop-off. Then at the drop-off, he was professional. His rig was taken care of and he knew what he was doing. Then, the car was delivered with no worse for wear. The people at AmeriFreight were also professional in coordinating between the transportation company and me, and checked up throughout the process. So, I was really happy.
In the end, I paid a few hundred dollars more than the quote they gave me but it wasn’t outrageous and I didn’t feel like it was a bait-and-switch. The end price was higher but they made something happen within days. They found the driver within two days and he was on time. He got the car out to my daughter really quickly and the communications she got from him were great. The whole transport took eight days and it was a good experience. I’d recommend AmriFreight to a friend.

I was separating from the military and I was moving from New York to Cape Coral, Florida. AmeriFreight had the best reviews on any list, and though their free quote was a little off, they explained to me before I even started that there was a very high possibility for that because the quotes that they gave me was for a base model pick-up. The organizer was good and he helped me out. Also, the driver was great. The only issue I had with him was that the truck sat so high, he had to take my antenna off and he decided he was gonna keep it as a souvenir. But it's not a big deal. The truck made it here before I did and in good shape. Overall, it was a neat surprise.

I needed to transfer to California from Florida. I looked through the top 10 auto shipping companies online and AmeriFreight was 4th. I dealt with Ben and he was good and very professional. The carrier drivers were nice as well. They gave me a form and checked the vehicle all around. The experience was almost perfect. But compared with Auto Executive, another company I've dealt with, you tend to spend more with AmeriFreight.
The first one I shipped was a minivan and it cost me $1,700. That was okay with me but it was expensive. I also shipped the 1998 Oldsmobile sedan and it cost me $1,800. AmeriFreight said it would cost $1,400 but with the way their business goes, I was expecting $1,600. Although that's expensive, that was my ballpark. But then they called me and told me, "Oh, here's the shipper who wants to ship your car at this amount." It's based on a yes-or-no kind of deal but I was stuck and in the middle of being pressured. I needed to ship the car as soon as possible. I'll be going to California and nobody's gonna take care of the vehicle when the vehicle gets stuck here.

I was moving across the country. I looked online and it seemed like AmeriFreight had a lot of good reviews compared to other companies so I decided to ship my truck through them. But the quote they initially gave was about half the price of what it actually ended up costing. Also I paid for a guaranteed next-day pickup. But the truck didn’t get picked up for five days. And when I called about it they just told me there was nothing they can do. But the transport organizer and carrier driver were good.

I called the AmeriFreight hotline to get a quote and the rep emailed me after. The transport organizer was very helpful and the delivery went pretty well. It was a little difficult trying to meet up with the driver to drop off my vehicle. I had to drive out about 20 minutes away from where I was located because the driver said he couldn't get to me because his truck was too big. I understood that. It just took a little bit more time out of my day and it was a little bit of a hassle. But the driver was polite and we did a very thorough inspection.

We were moving across United States and we had three vehicles so we couldn’t drive them all. AmeriFreight was the first one to get back with a quote to me within 24 hours or less. The transport organizer listened to my needs and heard what I had to say and he called me as soon as he found someone to pick up my husband’s car and drive it out to the destination. He made sure to give me all the information upfront and give me his contact number in case there was a problem. Then he helped me fill up the paperwork online, he let me know who was gonna be picking up the car, gave me the information, and let me know that they’ll be in contact with me. And then if anytime during the process there was an issue, I could give them a call. So, there wasn’t any kind of miscommunication for me feeling like I was left out in the cold and didn’t really know what to do.
The carrier driver was a super nice man. He kept in contact with me because he had other vehicles he had to pick up in the area. And when he was gonna be running late, he had called and I had known well in advance. He arrived a day earlier than expected to drop my husband’s car off. It took only two or three days, which wasn’t long at all. The final cost was a little bit more than what I discussed with the organizer but the fact that I needed it shipped quickly and it was only $150 more, then it was very reasonable. AmeriFreight worked really hard and it was a good experience.

I bought a vehicle from a different state and AmeriFreight was one of the companies that called me back as soon as I needed service. They quoted me and everything was fine, and they did what they said they were gonna do. I had the car when it came so I was happy. The guy that dropped it off was very nice, and he told me some stuff that I didn't know about the car, which was in the condition I bought it in.

I had sold a car and I needed it transported to the buyer. I googled the nearest transport company towards me and I picked AmeriFreight, which was the one that had the best reviews. There wasn't a lot of communication going back and forth with the transport organizer but everything got done the way that I would like it. I spoke to her, I set everything up and then the car was then picked up. And within 12 hours, everything was complete. The car was in the same condition when it got to the buyer. Also, my quote was higher than what I actually had to pay. So, it came out better. Everything has been good and I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight to a friend. AmeriFreight's pricing was falling in right in my budget and it has some really good online reviews as well. I was moving from Seattle Washington to Chicago Illinois, and I went ahead and booked them. AmeriFreight's transport organizer was very helpful. He took all the details from me, the address at the destination as well as the origin. And then, he got back to me within the week to tell me that he had quotes from three different transporting companies and that the chosen cons of using each one of them. He showed me that all of them were reviewed and they had a good feedback with AmeriFreight.
I was present when the vehicle was picked up, so I made sure I got the contact information as well. And the carrier driver kept in touch with me once the vehicle approached Chicago. And we decided on a drop off spot, which is where I met him, signed off, made the last payment and drove back home. I ended up paying just a little more than the quote that I was given because of the short time between me reaching out to the company and the day it took when I had to transport the car. The process from beginning to end took about five days, which definitely met my expectations because he already told me when to expect my car and it fell right in the window that he told me.

My wife was moving from New Mexico to California. We looked at a number of companies and AmeriFreight's reviews were much better than some companies we got quotes from. The quote we got at the time was fine, though I didn't like the number of responses we got as it was overwhelming. But the organizer was very nice. He provided all the facts and let us review it and get back to him. He wasn’t constantly bugging us to see what decision we had made. The driver was very nice as well. He was there exactly at the time that he had promised to pick up. And then before delivery, he called and we knew exactly what time he was gonna get there, and he was there within half an hour of that time. The vehicle was exactly how it was given to him. They did a great job and everything was good. AmeriFreight is trustworthy and I would definitely recommend them.

My friend recommended AmeriFreight. He told they are good and that's the same experience I have got too. I got my car quickly. They have given the quote but it went $200 extra. But $800 is what I was expecting. That way it is $200 more but I listed two days and I think things have got little more pricier but I think it’s overall good. I was able to get my car and then they called me up couple of times and I was able to meet and hand over the car.
The driver called me up one hour before and he told he’ll be arriving at this time. Then second time he called me before 15 minutes and then we met up in front of my apartment. That went very nice and overall I’m so happy. Within three days they were able to give my car back. Initially it was to be delivered on a Saturday and they told that they are able to make it on Friday and they can give my car quickly. So then they were able to give it on Friday like I requested. Even if it’s over 5:00pm, it’s good. They are really nice. AmeriFreight is the best carrier and I’m happy with that. We moved from one place to another place. We wanted the car immediately and they were able to solve it. And they were able to call three times and give a heads up and come and give the car. So I like it very much.

I just bought a classic car and it was in the Philadelphia area and had it shipped out to where I live in Texas. I sent a number of inquiry jobs based on Google hits and had two dozen responses, and AmeriFreight was a reasonable price and I still thought it was fair based on what the other bids were. Although their price ended up being a little bit higher than what they originally said, it was about what I wanted to pay. They were real responsive and it was all good.
The car was at the dealership and AmeriFreight took it slightly earlier than they said. I wasn't expecting it, but there were people at the dealership and they took care of it and everything was good. We ended up a day or two off but it wasn't a critical thing, so it was fine. There was a bunch of weather factor at that time. There was snow back East and then it was wet where we were, so that threw everything off a day. I talked to four transport companies when I needed to move a vehicle from Washington, D.C. to Lawrence, Kansas and AmeriFreight seemed to be more qualified to handle it. Their quote was in the mid-range and it wasn’t the lowest but I talked to the people in their Atlanta office to finalize things. The conversation went great but the people in Atlanta use a lot of carriers and I was hesitant on the professionalism of the people that I talked to initially. The person in the Atlanta office assured me that they had worked with the carriers quite a bit and that they would be on it in case I run into any issues. She told me to call them and they would make sure they can handle it properly. The communication with the carriers was a little bit disjointed but they picked up and delivered when they said they would and everything else worked just fine. The delivery was at the right place, right on time and it was great.

AmeriFreight's transport organizer was really knowledgeable, like she had been doing this for a really long time. She was able to answer every question and with anything I was worried about, she calmed me down and told me everything was gonna be fine. She had the ability to make me really trust her and have the feeling that I was gonna have no issue, which I didn't have. And when it came down to the time for my car to leave, I started having other transport companies call. They must have contacted me in the past and saw my name was on the board. They told me that there was just absolutely no one would pick up my car in that price range and suggested that I use them but they were quoting almost double. However, woman from AmeriFreight got very close to what I asked for. Their prices blew everyone out of the water.
The carrier driver then dealt with my mother in getting the car on the truck which went really smoothly. I then assumed he was gonna call me that morning but he called my mother. By the time I woke up in California, it was already on it's way. He was so friendly. He stayed in contact and got my car here four days earlier in great condition. It was a little dirty, but there was no expectation of it getting there clean since it'd been driving cross country. If I ever have to do it again of if I knew anybody else that would ship their car, I would absolutely recommend them.

The driver texted me to communicated and when the vehicle was delivered, it was on time and didn’t have any damages so, it went well. I picked it up on a Monday and I received the vehicle on a Thursday which was in line with what I was told on the overall duration. The original bid that was put out was lower, but because we're in a small town in Kentucky and I know the normal routes going all the way the coast, I felt that it was fair.

She was always very helpful. I had awesome interactions with the driver too. It was a good experience overall and I was happy with the quote I originally got. But the nature of the business is they give you a quote, what they think your truck will get picked up for, but they just send it out there to see what the shipping company will take. My problem with that was the quote was much less than what the shipping companies were actually wanting to take the truck for. I turned down several offers from carriers and it was about a month to actually find a carrier that I would use. Once I told them specifically what I was looking for, they proposed that they would try to find a transporting company to ship my vehicle at the particular price that I requested and they were able to find someone. The transport organizer, Leisha, was always available, was always in touch, was always concerned about my needs, and was always trying to make sure that everything was working as it should.
I talked to the carrier driver via cellphone, explained to him exactly where I was, and they told me where they had parked. I drove the car out to them, which was just a couple of blocks away, because my streets were a little narrow for their large vehicle. I just drove up right behind the truck, signed the paperwork, and five minutes later, they were gone. I wasn't in a hurry to ship my vehicle. I guess they have a personal vehicle that comes to get the cars in smaller areas that the big 18-wheelers can't fit in. Then, they take them to a bigger lot and that's where they collect all the cars and put them on 18-wheelers to ship out. They showed up at midnight and the Corvette had just had a paint job done six months earlier, and it was all marked up, and my nephew in the dark didn’t see it, and other things were wrong with it. So, I was really particular about the company that I use.
My husband sold the 68’ Vette and this is a 72’ Classic Vette that we shipped through AmeriFreight and their follow up and communication were great. When the car came down, it was pristine, and I figured it’d be a week before we got the car. They found a carrier within 10 hours and then it arrived in two days, so we were really thrilled with the service. Also, I called five different freight companies, so I let AmeriFreight's guy know where I thought the price should be and he got me that price.

I was moving from Kentucky to Phoenix. As I was going through the online reviews, I found a lot of reviews favoring AmeriFreight and their quote was just right in the middle so I went with them. The transport organizer was outright and honest with me about what is going to happen. I was given the fat idea of what I will be charged instead of saying something less. I had two of my cars shipped and in both occasions they were really good. They were really helpful even in one of the occasions that my friend drove the car. They even offered to drive him back to his home on his way. Overall, it took seven days to transport one of my cars, but for the other car it was two to three days. I had a wonderful experience. I didn’t expect this would go this smooth, so I was really thrilled. Going forward, I will choose AmeriFreight or even recommend them to my friends. They did a wonderful job.

I was moving from the state of California to Texas and I liked AmeriFreight's pricing and the young lady who helped us was very, very helpful and she was very detailed about stuff. I was very indecisive of the actual delivery date but she was very consistent with following through. The final price had about $300 difference from the quote that they gave me, but it was a great experience. They called days prior to the actual pick up date which was very helpful. The guy that did the pick up was very helpful and he checked for damages. He was also very specific as to details and how shipping and things work. The driver got to the destination a day earlier, so it was awesome. I was definitely satisfied with the service and I'm looking forward to working with AmeriFreight again.

I had a military move and I didn't know what to do. So I looked online and AmeriFreight came up. I used their free quote option and the quote that I was given was nowhere near with what I had to pay. The quote was much lower. But the transport organizer was pleasant. His name is Harry and he helped me out. I wasn’t clear on everything right up front. Also, the charges for using a credit card were astronomical. But other than that, the delivery and pick up was very good.
However, I contacted two weeks out from my intended pickup date and then I didn’t hear from anyone about three days before I wanted it picked up. That was when I called back and said, “Hey, is someone gonna give me a quote or coordinate this?” So, it was a little frustrating that I couldn’t coordinate it sooner with more notice.

AmeriFreight had a bunch of good reviews so I figured they gotta be pretty good. Their service was okay and the driver was fine. There was a couple of hiccup but at the end my car got to my destination on time. But I wasn’t happy about the cost that I had to go with it because I was in a tight spot regarding time and my move. They should keep their word on the price. They told me that there could be a 5% difference but when I got the final price, it was almost 20% more than the original quote, and I had to take it.

My wife and I moved from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. Instead of driving our cars cross-country, we thought it would be easier if we'd ship it and we'd fly out. My wife's parents recommended AmeriFreight since they had a good experience with them when they used them about a year before when they moved from LA to Philly themselves.
The transport organizer we've had was great and reliable. Once we submitted our request to receive quote for the transportation, she reached out on the phone and we had a quick discussion about some of the details that I provided. Then she sent over the quote. The quote was good and broken out nicely. It was also helpful as it provided a pretty good picture of what we had to pay. And although it was lower than what the final cost was, I was cognizant of the fact that the quote was just an estimation and might change, and it would still depend on what they would actually find in terms of trucking.
Once we kinda hit go, the transport organizer and I were in pretty constant contact. She provided information about the types of details that we needed to provide her, the types of details that transportation companies would be looking for, what her role was in terms of going out to different trucking companies and why we've had to give her a week window for the pick-ups. Then right after the cars were picked up and delivered, she made sure that everything went smoothly.
The reps were also really nice. I called dispatch once before the pick-up to confirm the details about when the trucker would call me and they were really easy to talk to. We've had a pleasant interaction with the local driver in Los Angeles too. He was great, efficient, and nice. He explained what he was doing and where he was taking the cars to get loaded up onto the bigger truck carrier. He found a spot really close to my apartment, so I didn't have to drive far to give him the cars. The cars were also delivered quicker than what they had said, which was great. We just wanted the cars delivered by the time we got to Philly, but they got here a couple of days earlier and that was definitely a plus. My wife's parents received the cars and there weren't any dings or scratches on them. AmeriFreight is a safe and reliable transportation option. It's been an easy and efficient experience with them.

I went with AmeriFreight based on the reviews online, plus another freighter company told me that AmeriFreight is good. Their price goes up from the initial quote, which is not good, but it ended up being the same price as other companies. I interacted with the transport organizer by phone and email, and it went well. The driver got here really fast, but he parked in a tight space and it took 45 minutes to get the car off and give it to me. He was putting the other cars back in instead of just letting me go and doing that later. And then afterwards, he asked me to use my car to start one of his cars that wasn’t starting. That was a little weird but everything else was fine.

I worked with Lucia and she was very good. She contracted the carrier for us and the driver did an excellent job. He put the vehicle right up behind the cab and moved the other cars on the street. He was really good.
The other companies that we talked to said they could do it around the 4th or 5th, but I needed it at the 31st, and AmeriFreight was very accommodating. They did a nice job because the car didn't have a scratch when it came back. I had it here on the 4th and the driver was a very nice man. He was right on time and he called us ahead. The guy that I organized it with was absolutely great. Everything he said matched. Everything worked out and the pickup was also not an issue. Obviously, they couldn’t drop it off at my street because I have a pretty narrow street and the place where I went to pick it up was really convenient.
The driver was great as well. He let me know when he was in the area. I needed to contact him to change the site of transport because I thought I was working that one day and he was gonna drop it off there. And then it got switched the last minute and he was available and flexible. It was a very smooth transport and it worked out really well. My parents' vehicle was going from Tonawanda, New York to Las Vegas because they were moving out here. I checked all the reviews online and AmeriFreight had a lot of great ratings. You were guaranteed that they were gonna go out early if you paid a little bit more, so, we had a few things to discuss. But AmeriFreight gave me different rates and did a good job. Their reps were more than helpful, even calling me during the middle of the transport process. They asked me if I was happy with everything so far and how we were communicating with the drivers. Everything was dead-on perfect.
Initially. my father was kinda hesitant because he didn't want somebody to take his car. But he's 84 years old and was not able to drive it. So, he stood outside and he watched the carrier driver load it up onto the truck when he took it from Tonawanda, New York. Then he called me up and told me that the guy really knew what he was doing. So, he was really confident in the person that took his car, which that was my biggest concern, and the driver was a super nice guy. The whole transport went unbelievably fast as well. I was moving from one state to another and I had two vehicles transported two separate times. AmeriFreight had good reviews, so I got them to ship the vehicles. For the first transport, the quote that they gave me was within $50 of the actual cost, so that was really good. For the second one, the difference between the actual cost and the initial quote was a little higher, but that transport was done a couple of months later, which was more of a peak time. So, the total cost that they actually charged was a couple of hundred dollars more than all the quotes that they gave me and, overall, that was still good.
The transport organizer was great and she was very attentive to anything that I needed. I always could get a hold of her. If I had an issue, she immediately got on it and either the driver or the driver's office would call me back. I was able to keep in contact with the driver during the day of delivery. AmeriFreight had good reviews on the government website for trusted companies. We tried the free quote, but nobody wanted to bid on the lower number that I wanted so it ended up being the next higher up person to bid. However, we had one contracted driver that said, “We're gonna show up at such and such time and load the truck out there, and then we’ll be on our way.” And they never showed. I don’t know what happened. And apparently the company that was contracting them blacklisted them for not showing up. It took two weeks just because the first week was the opening bid and then finding the first truck driver who disappeared. From there we had to reopen the bid and get another contract company to do it.
The second driver finally got to pick up my truck, and he was cool. He did everything correctly and the truck arrived in fantastic condition. It wasn’t covered in mud or beat up. Also, whoever I called at AmeriFreight was always happy to help. They try their best and get back to you in a timely manner. They call you back when you call them. On the other hand, the AmeriFreight rep, Dannielle, was neither pushy nor aggressive, and she was very easy to talk with and willing to work with me, so I went with her. Also, the more I researched on transport companies, it seemed that the prices were comparable across the board.
I was unfamiliar with how the transport would happen since I had never shipped a car before, so I started to get concerns when we didn't have anything lined up yet in the last couple of weeks prior to the scheduled shipping date. So, I called Dannielle and expressed my concerns, and she assured me that it would all be fine but we might need to go up on the price a little bit to get a driver. The price was raised, but not by a lot, and I still thought it was reasonable.
In dealing with the driver, I was again putting my trust into a stranger with my car. But the driver seemed very professional and I liked that he seemed well-groomed. The delivery was supposed to be here one day but they didn’t get it here for the next. But there were some heavy storms. And the delivery went fine.

I needed to bring my car home to Florida. AmeriFreight's availability made me choose them for the job. They gave me a quote that was fair which was no more, no less than anybody else's. The customer service person at AmeriFreight was wonderful. She got the shipment done, had the car picked up and got it home. She was very communicative. However, interacting with their transport organizer and carrier driver was not a good experience because the car came in damaged. It was a brand new car and it came back to me with a scratch across the back of it.
The delivery people didn't say much. All they were saying was that they weren't the ones who picked the car up. I don't care about that because the scratch wasn't there when they picked the car up. Furthermore, AmeriFreight sold me insurance and it's been a total waste. The insurance says they have to contact me and I would have them pay for it. I've sent them the bill of lading and the estimate from the body shop but still, I haven't heard "boo" from the insurance guys. It's very frustrating. Nevertheless, it's not really AmeriFreight who caused the problem because they're only brokers.

I used an enclosed carrier and I had a great experience with AmeriFreight. It was my first time ever shipping and they did a really good job. I didn’t wanna make an offer as high as they wanted me to for my timeframe and they told me that it was fine. First, they quoted me and then they told me it would be higher once they put something out there. But I stuck with my quote and whatever the offer was, and it ended up being $200 less than the price that they determined after the quote. They were very transparent about everything the whole time and they were there every step of the way.
I worked with Lecia and she was really helpful. She called me back every time she said she was going to. It felt like I was her only customer even though I’m sure that’s not true. She followed up with me several times, making sure that the car got picked up okay and letting me know that it would be ready to be delivered. She also talked me through the process. Also, the driver was really nice. He was with my parents when they picked up the car but they said they chatted for a little bit. It was really rainy but he was very kind. When he dropped off the car to me, the emergency brake was on and I didn’t realize it, but he made sure that I could drive away okay before he drove away. He was very professional, chatty and friendly. Everything was really easy. I would absolutely use AmeriFreight again.

My overall experience with AmeriFreight was good. The only thing was the hood of the car had a lot of dirt when the car showed up. It was a large amount. And it was just the hood, so it was kind of strange. But as far as the air freight part, the car was picked up and dropped off faster than I thought it would be. The car beat me to where I was going. I'd recommend AmeriFreight.

I was moving from Utah to Oregon and had three cars. I didn’t feel comfortable with the other two drivers driving that far distance so I got AmeriFreight's services to ship them. However, what I ended up paying was considerably higher than the initial quote I got. But they did say that it wasn’t the final quote. On the other hand, the transport organizer was very friendly and very helpful. She was really nice to deal with. Dealing with AmeriFreight in particular worked out real well. Most of the total area is rural and normal transport car holders wouldn't go there and so it was kind of a rinky-dink fly-by-night type of outfit or pickup truck or the trailer that ended up calling them, but the vehicles got there without any issues.
The driver came to pick them up and I was really concerned about the looks of what he was driving, so I called AmeriFreight back and there was a bit of time trying to get a hold of somebody and then check things out. I took pictures and sent them. The rep said that they were the very first outfit and then she gave it to the supervisor, and he looked at it and he said, “Yeah. It does look pretty rinky-dink. Well, you got insurance. They cover damage,” etc. So it was an interesting experience but that worked out well. The whole transport took about a week.

I was relocating to a new place and I hired AmeriFreight to ship my car. I liked their reputation and the promise that the charge would only be taken once everything was finalized. My initial discussion with their reps went good but the quote they gave me in the beginning was less than what I paid. When I got a driver, he needed a little more and it was a little disappointing that I couldn't get close to the initial quote that I was told. But since I had given my consent and I haven't paid for anything, that was okay.
The transport organizer was good and everything was explained. Then, on the day of delivery, the driver called up to decide when and where he would be arriving. He navigated the way for me and coordinated when and where the unloading would happen. The proceedings were made easily and painlessly. Then he arrived and delivered on time. I was getting a little late, so we communicated, and when I arrived, the car was already unloaded then payment was made. Overall, I had a very good experience with AmeriFreight. They were quick and reliable.

I was moving from Oregon to Texas. AmeriFreight had a good price and seemed like they'd get the job done so I hired them to transport my vehicle. But the quote they gave me was inaccurate and about $300 lower than what it actually wound up costing even with the one week window that I had. Also, the drop-off was troublesome. The driver kept having to delay with traffic being what it was then he got stuck in some city. But to me, when you are running a company like that, you need some foresight on what you're doing and give priority to the customers you've already had a deal with. As a result, I was a little stranded without a car for a minute. But I've kind of compensated for the possibility that that would happen.

AmeriFreight's transport organizer was fine and did a good job staying in touch with me during the moving process. However, their carrier driver wasn't really clear with the instructions on how to get to the place on the day of the delivery. During unloading, he wasn't there and we had to hold the vehicle for a few more days and then pick it up. I guess he had his wife drop it off. Still, it was pretty quick.
Nevertheless, the driver should be more clear where he's at. One time, he sent us a screenshot of his location, but that didn't really help because it wasn't an address or a link. He could've sent us a link. I knew he had an iPhone so he could've dropped a pin and said that he was right where he was. When we were in Austin, he said he was at the Walmart on a certain highway and there were five Walmarts on that highway.

I moved from California to Texas. I looked at reviews on the Better Business Bureau and then reviews on ConsumerAffairs and other sites. I got 15 or 16 quotes, and AmeriFreight gave a quote that was about average of what I was seeking. At the end it ended up being more, but it wasn’t that much more. It was under $100 more, so it wasn’t significant.
Jorge, the customer service guy was really good. He kept me informed. The carrier driver was very accommodating and really a good guy. I thought it was gonna be a different person, but he was the same person who picked up. I wasn’t here because he beat me here, so he called my dad and my dad went and got the car for me. It was a lot quicker than I thought. He picked up on a Monday late afternoon. And then he got there Saturday, 7:00 AM. I was very satisfied with AmeriFreight and I would definitely recommend them.

I looked at the reviews on Transport Reviews and AmeriFreight seemed to have a pretty solid standing. So I reached out, received a quote and then proceeded from there. Their quote was in line with all the other quotes I was receiving. The rep was very accommodating as well. His name is Harry and he was very prompt. He returned my calls if I couldn't reach him and kept me up-to-date through the whole process. When the driver was arriving, Harry provided me with all the contact information I needed and contacted me again after the vehicle was delivered to see if everything went okay.
Also, the driver showed up very quickly within one business day. I called and the driver was there the next day, showed up early and was accommodating. Everything went smoothly. I went with AmeriFreight after reading their Better Business Bureau reviews as well as various online reviews. Typically, having done this several times, the quotes are a lot lower than what you end up paying, but that’s the way it goes. I think the way that these businesses work is that they end up posting these move offers and individual contract drivers are the ones that make an offer. So it’s really about how much you’re willing to pay based on offers that come in and how quickly you need the vehicle. Because if you wait a while, then the quote they gave you is a lot closer to accurate than if you ask them to deliver your vehicle in a week or two. Apart from that, the experience was great. The move went really smooth and convenient, and their team was friendly.

He kept in touch, called and made sure that we got everything that we needed. He was great to deal with. It was just that lag time when we were sitting in the dark. But even if he didn’t have any drivers available at that time, a quick phone call every couple of days to let me know that he was still looking would have been a little better. The carrier driver on the day of delivery was fast, quick, and we were out there as soon as we needed to be.

We purchased a CPO up in Spokane, Washington. Spokane is all dirt roads and doesn’t even have motorized transportation. We had to get a car shipped out because it would be too much of a pain to drive that one down. We talked to AmeriFreight and they have a couple of different contractors they work with that come out of the area. We tried them out and they were great.
First off, the transport organizer, Danielle, sent an email. They were having some problems with getting the documents on email and she stayed right on that. She made sure we had proper documentation and she was good at it. She called to make sure everything was good, during transport, and where we're going to be there and did follow up calls. She spoke with the carrier and we got to get patched in to the carrier as well so she could hand off to them. They stayed on with making sure we had a carrier in the timeframe we needed and their quote was pretty much dead-on. And the carrier brought it down quick. Everything went smooth and it was awesome.
The only downside was that they didn’t give us enough heads up. The driver has a dispatch guy who would call us and say, “Okay. It’s gonna be there in 15 minutes.” It was coming to LA and we couldn’t drive three blocks in 15 minutes, it was going to take 30.” I tried to tell him and said that LA is different than Miami. We talked to the dispatcher and then spoke to the driver. The driver said, “No worries.” He was a good, professional 28-year-old. He had to back off the rig and it was perfectly smooth. The vehicle came down open transport which was what I expected. It rained and it had some dirt on it. But concerning it was an open transport, it's probably just as good as when they put it on the truck because it probably got rained on when it went on the truck. All I know is that it arrived the same condition it was on the truck.

I had job relocation and shipped my vehicle through AmeriFreight. I’ve tried different vendors but other transport companies were just inconvenience. They kept delaying my transport and also at the last minute, some transports were backing out of it. With AmeriFreight, the quote is more than fair and the transport organizer kept clear communication and made us understand the process of everything as far as paperwork and how everything would be transacted. The carrier driver on the other hand was pretty much straightforward. He let me know his turnaround time as far as delivery and what-not and it was straightforward, very quick and easy, and convenient. The process took 48 hours and everything was perfect. I would definitely recommend them.

I needed to get a car to my son so we contacted a couple of shipping companies and AmeriFreight got back to us quickly. My son also contacted somebody else and had put down $185 nonbinding deposit with Direct Express Auto that was cheaper. But I realized they didn’t insure the vehicle so I said to my son, I’d rather pay more money and have insurance because we were putting a few golf clubs in the jeep. He then cancelled the deal with the other company and he called AmeriFreight.
However, Direct had already contacted the same carrier. The carrier had somehow negotiated Direct with not taking as big a bite out of AmeriFreight. So, AmeriFreight was taking more money and had negotiated with the carrier for less money by a difference of $200. And we got caught in the middle of it. It all happened so quickly. I got a phone call from AmeriFreight saying, “Your car carrier guy is going to be coming to you today.” I said, “Okay, great.” And 10 minutes later, I got a phone call from the car carrier who spoke no English and he said, “I’m here.” And I was like, “Oh, okay. Great.” He wound up picking up the car through Direct as opposed to AmeriFreight unbeknownst to me because it was the same guy.
So, we loaded up the car and off the car went. And then at 11:00 at night, I got a phone call from the dispatch person and we came to realize that the car had been picked up by an order from Direct, but we had canceled that order. So the next morning, I’ve got AmeriFreight on the phone with me and they’re saying, “This isn’t right. You undercut us.” I’m like, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” It was a mess and it wound up costing me $200 more. But at the end of the day, I was like, “Whatever. Forget it. I don’t care.” It’s interesting because these car carriers have relationships with all the aggregator companies, and they’re all fighting for it and squeezing the car carriers and it’s all kind of who gets the order first.
Apparently, even Direct had a charge on my credit card. But in fairness to them, when I called them up and said, “Wait a minute. I have a free cancellation,” they did issue the credit to my credit card. But it was not a particularly positive experience. I would give the industry as a whole a bad review. But AmeriFreight stood by me because then, I was freaked out. I said I didn’t have the car picked up by Direct because if I had, I would’ve removed thousand dollar golf clubs from the jeep. And he said, “No, no. Don’t worry. We’ll make sure --“ But they had to go back and forth, and I guess it was a big headache for them. At the end of the day, the driver expected a different amount of money. I was like, “Screw it. I’ll just pay the extra $200.”
Also, the shipping process was quick which I think was part of the problem because they’re all moving so quickly. So, the problem is, you want to shop around because the prices vary. But the problem is, by shopping around, these different companies were actually in a bidding war with the same trucking company, the same carrier. Nevertheless, I’d recommend AmeriFreight. They’re good because I think I’d explain the process to them so they understood it. I didn’t realize that AmeriFreight and all these companies weren’t doing the trucking. I didn’t realize that they are a middleman. I just thought, “Oh, well. I’m going to contact a bunch of car carrier companies and see who got the best price.” But I didn’t realize that I was dealing with a middleman. Hopefully, I won’t have to ship another car because it’s very expensive. But if I do, I’m wiser.

I bought a used car coming from Colorado and I shipped it to San Francisco. I did some basic online research and saw some decent reviews about AmeriFreight. The price I was quoted was what I was expecting, so it was an easy decision. Harry called a couple of times to get the details and then emailed me with the name and phone number of the transporter, and he followed up after to make sure everything was okay. The driver called me a couple of times over the weekend when he was driving. And then the day of, when I was picking up the car from him, we rendezvoused at a place that I had picked and he delivered the car. It was pretty straightforward. The whole process took three days and it was seamless. AmeriFreight was easy to deal with. I have had some bad experiences shipping cars in the past, so anything where the other car is delivered on time for a price that I offered paying and got no additional hassles is positive in my book.

He was the one who set everything up, but I was the one who followed through once he came to bid and once we got things rolling. The quote we were given was lower than what it ended up being. And, the transport organizer was wonderful. She was always there when I called and when there was some concern. On the other hand, the carrier driver on the day of the delivery was very nice. The car came earlier than expected and that was fine. He was great about it. He knew that we didn’t get charged anything extra because it wasn’t contracted to get there that early and he was very patient and ended up delivering it fine. I was moving then so I did some research and talked to some other transport companies. I really didn't get alarmed nor fuzzy from the way that they explained things to me. Also, when I looked at ratings online, I had seen that some of the other companies that I had talked to did have some negative ratings. But Karen at AmeriFreight was very calm and explained the process to me. When I explained my particular situation, they had a small window of time frame. She worked with me and was very accommodating as much as she could be, and it turned out just fine. Her professionalism and her customer service were fabulous. I got a free quote from them. We first started out higher than anybody else. So, that did concern me a bit. They explained that different sub-companies bid on it and I had a short time frame window but no one explained that to me before.
The drivers were excellent. They kept in contact with me. They picked up the vehicle on Saturday the 2nd and they delivered it on Sunday the 11th. Overall, it's a tough industry. The web information for a lot of transport companies is not really clear. So, AmeriFreight should put more on its website to let people know what they provide and why they should be trusted when there are 300 other ones out there. I'd tell my friends to go with AmeriFreight. It's great and it's cheaper than driving across country yourself.

So I spoke to Harry of AmeriFreight on the phone and they sent me a quote. He had did what he agreed to do so it was a seamless process. The trucking company that came out and picked the car up was very professional. They showed up on time. I called them because I had their phone number and I was the first pick up for the day.
They said it would take around seven days and it was within the timeframe that they suggested. This is the third car that I shipped. Of the three companies this is probably the most pleasant. Getting the vehicle there or up to that point wasn’t an issue. But there were some issues with when exactly they would be available to drop off the vehicle and that was kind of in a time crunch for my parents who were picking up the vehicle. We didn’t exactly know when they would be in town. They called back a couple of times or I had to call them a couple of times and find out when exactly they were going to be in the area. My daughter is going to medical school in California and we live in Florida. It was time for her to have her car, so we had it shipped out. AmeriFreight seemed to get quite a few good reviews and a good standing with the Better Business Bureau. I took advantage of their free quote option however, I don’t think it was a good program. It was grossly misleading. The quote was $999 and there was no way to ship that car at that price. I would have rather them being realistic. But Harry, the transport organizer, was an excellent guy to work with. He was fair. I let him know what my price point needed to be and then I wasn’t in urgent need but I needed to ship the car. So, I waited until he could hit my price point and he pretty much found somebody that hit the price point. It took about three weeks but he worked with me ‘till he got the number that was acceptable.
The carrier driver was a good guy too. He lived near me in Hudson, Florida. He's an ex-police officer, real personable, and did a really good job moving the car. The carr arrived at the expected timeframe too. We had a real narrow timeframe because of her school. She only had to leave school to get it and it arrived exactly when they said it would. And the person I talked to at AmeriFreight was the easiest person to deal with so I picked them. She answered all my questions as well.
I finalized the arrangements on a Saturday the 10th and my car was getting picked up on Monday, just a few days later. It was all happening very quickly. And then, the driver was supposed to be here a week later and he was here early. And then, when I got to Colorado, I had to drive my rental to the airport and he met me there and drove me back to his parking to get my car. So, he was very helpful and friendly.
However, ever since I got my car there was a strange noise and I had in the back of my head that it was just 100% not there before. I've also heard of a small rock or pebble getting in the wheel and then if the car was driven a little bit more, it would work its way back out. And they were supposed to have a 48-hour policy to do something but within 48 hours I had to turn around and fly to Florida from Colorado and I just didn’t have the spare time to deal with it. I wish AmeriFreight would be clearer where there was a little bit more of a window of time. Other than that, there were zero problems.

AmeriFreight had a good rating online and they were willing to go mid-range in cost to ship a vehicle from Washington State, which made it clear that it was not in a big-time brand but it seemed to be a good place to start. But after two weeks, it became apparent that the transport wasn't going to work at the lower amount of money and it turned out that the ultimate quote was higher, but that was to be expected.
Danielle, the transport organizer, did a very good job and dealing with the carrier driver was perfectly excellent too. He showed up when he said he would, was professional, and the loading went very smoothly and the same driver and carrier sent it all away in North Carolina. The organizer's assumptions were based on what they got from the carrier and it took about eight days and the vehicle was delivered in excellent condition. My wife and I moved to Portland, Oregon for a small eight-week stint. She was doing her doctor’s degree in physical therapy and we were on a rotation between her schooling for her to work there. We got a little gumptious and decided to drive our vehicle to Oregon to prevent having to rent a car for the eight weeks. But after the 35-hour drive there, we decided that we did not want to do that on the way back. So, when we needed to move back to our hometown in Arkansas we decided that we were going to fly and have our vehicle shipped.
We had no previous experience with any type of auto transport so we did a lot of research on Google. We started around validated companies and the ones that had good reviews, were known for reliability, and had good ratings on their customer experience, but most importantly on the percentage of vehicles they delivered undamaged. AmeriFreight was always among the top three on the reviews. We considered going with a different company that the company I work for uses to relocate associates but AmeriFreight allowed us to store some personal freight in the car and that was one of the biggest factors that led us to choose them. We knew that wasn't covered in their insurance and any damage to that would be on us, but they allowed us to do that and we would not have been able to ship the car had we not been able to store a few items inside it.
We also got several quotes and AmeriFreight played the route of “Let me give you the lowest possible quote just to get you to talk with us.” The quote they gave us originally was $1,300, and what it ended up being was $1,600, which was what a lot of the other companies quoted us from the start. So the initial quote was a little bit misleading. One of the reasons we chose them was because they were $300 to $400 cheaper than a lot of the competition. But since we didn’t realizethat that quote wasn’t the final price, it was not of much use.
Other than that, scheduling the transport was really good. Harry was the one who was specifically assigned to us and he made sure we were comfortable with the process, getting all the information we needed, and understanding that not everyone was an expert on what was involved in shipping a vehicle. Then, their carrier driver gave me a call a couple of days before he arrived and said that he'd be here on this date and that he'd give me a call between these hours or when he'd be getting to the pick-up point. And he did so, I was able to drive my car down and drop it off. We walked around it for two to three minutes, marked up the bill of lading, signed it, and he loaded it up on the truck. So, it was pretty painless. I would use AmeriFreight again and I would recommend them to a friend or family member if they ever have to ship a vehicle in the future

There’s a website that ranks all the services of transport companies. And as long as you pick anybody in the top 5, it would probably be good. And AmeriFreight was in the top 5. They came back with a decent bid, so I went with them. Alicia, the transport organizer was great. I misunderstood something, and we actually redid the contract. I didn’t realize picking the middle option was going to be automatically x number of dollars more expensive. She clarified that and then I said I had to wind up and do another online contract with her to stay with the econo. And everything seemed reasonable. She helped me save $400 by redoing the contract. And she was very polite as well.
I met the carrier driver when they dropped it and they were great. It was like a father-son team. They were very considerate. I wound up having to help them push the truck a little bit because I had to put it in a dirt parking lot that’s near my house because they couldn’t have gotten the transport to my house. They dropped it at night, but I took a flashlight underneath and I didn’t see any obvious dents or any place where chains may have slapped. It all looked pretty good to me. But there was a delay for the drop off. The driver took him a while for us to make out. He said he was spending most of the day waiting on other people. It’s not really his fault.
We had talked about me calling him when I showed up and what day I was supposed to be there ‘cause it was supposed to be on the 25th of February he’s arriving. So I called him on the 22nd and he’s like, “Well, I’m here up on the East Coast. I’ll leave back in a few days. Your vehicle is in Denver. We’ll try to set up a time.” He really never called me back and be really proactive with him. But at the day of delivery when he showed up, he was good. They explained to me that they would post this job for a bidding to the shippers that they use and that price may fluctuate a little bit, but they gave me a range on what they thought it was going to. The quote was good because the other company, recommended by my moving company, were a couple of $100 higher and the feedback online wasn't as great.
I called them twice to inquire about the process as it got closer to pick up dates and if the transport organizer had heard anything, and she filled me and kept me in the loop. After the actual shipper took over the contract, she said I could give her a call if I had any questions or problems because they also wanted to make sure that the shippers they are using were doing what they were supposed to do. Dealing with the carrier driver was pretty straightforward. They called me the day before and let me know they were going to deliver in the morning and we confirm the location and told them that I was going to be there. And then the driver was at where he was supposed to be and I inspected the vehicle and everything was good. I moved to Texas and used AmeriFreight to ship my car. I liked the quote that I was given, but they originally quoted me $700, and then it ended up being $1,100. And the only excuse they gave me was nobody was bidding on my car at that low rate, so they had to increase it. Other than that, the transport organizer was on top of everything, let me know each day if somebody bid on my car or not, and then we passed on the first one because it was like $1,200 and we didn’t want to go that high. So, we waited and then it was getting close to when we needed to move the car so we ended up settling and doing the $1,100.
The carrier driver was great, too. He picked the car up on schedule, he told me exactly what time he was going to be there, and I met him and talked to him because they couldn't drive into the city, and then he loaded the car right away. And when he delivered it, he was on time. He delivered it within four days from San Francisco to Dallas, which was good. I had a really good experience with him. He was dealing with AmeriFreight on the price change.
After I spoke with him when he delivered my car, he asked me how much I had paid because I paid him $700 directly, which is what he got, but then $400 went directly to AmeriFreight for their fees and the extra insurance which, as advised by him, I shouldn’t have been talked into getting. They are fully covered up to $1M, so I was upset with AmeriFreight. And then, he asked how much they charged me for the fees and I told him. And he said that I overpaid by like $300. So, he was awesome. I ended up getting his direct number so if I move again I will just go straight to him because I feel like I got kind of ripped off by AmeriFreight paying $320 just to find him, and then he only got $700. So, it was like they got half of what he got and he had to drive the car. And all they had to do was book him. I wouldn't necessarily not recommend them, but I wouldn’t go with them again.

I did a lot of research and also checked the Better Business Bureau and AmeriFreight had the best rating for customer service -- that they would do what I needed competently and safely without ruining the car. From what I could read they looked like a very good company to work with.
I ended up paying $80 more than the quote. It was good because they explained that to me, laid it upfront that the quote was the lowest rate. And that’s what we put it up at and that it was very likely that that would not be the price that I would pay but that I would have the opportunity to say yes or no. Harry, the transport organizer, was great. He was very responsive, so enthusiastic and so interested in making sure that I had a good customer service experience. Like, one time I thought he was over the top and he was really real. He really meant it.
The carrier driver was also amazing. I was absolutely panic-stricken about the whole thing because I’ve heard such horror stories from people that tried to ship cars before and I was very concerned about the quality of the carrier. And from the get-go they were amazing. They were very responsive. I had to give them a 48-hour window but I was able to reach the carrier directly. I wanted a very specific day and time for the pick-up to occur because we needed our car for a bit and they totally accommodated me.
He was unbelievable. I had to make a change to the pick-up time that morning. He totally allowed me to do that. He was there waiting for me in our appointed pick-up area. The transport vehicle that he was driving was clean. It was new. It was not rickety. He was really concerned with making sure that he took pictures of the car. He really wanted to put me at ease that everything was gonna be okay. I was shocked actually.
I met them on both ends because I flew out to Denver and then I met them here in Boston. The driver called me and told me when he thought I could pick the car up and it was three days before I was told. So the time was gonna be quicker. And then he called me on the Friday just to tell me where he was and to tell me he was gonna be there. He gave me a window on Saturday. He was a half-hour earlier than the window. I would use that carrier in a heartbeat again.

I have used AmeriFreight before. The first time, the transport organizer was great. The second time around, it was okay. I tried to get back in contact with them from the same day about getting the car picked up and she didn't answer the phone. I even sent emails, but no response. I went to the website to look for their official number and I found it. I asked for the transport organizer and they were like, “She’s not in.” I’m like, “How about later?” I asked for her again and they were like, “Not right now.” They asked me who I was looking for and then I told them. They then told me that they had told me she wasn’t there, then they’re like, “Oh, no. She’s here. She’s been here like... I don’t know what time.”
When I finally got a hold of the person that was helping me, she was like, “We can’t send the drivers on Fridays.” And then she told me the price and let me know what if we do it later on in the week. They're like, "Hope we can do that", and they did. The carrier picked up yesterday, but they got held up at the place where they were supposed to pick it up. They arrived at the area destination at 1:00 in the morning, but they called me ahead of time and offered if we wanted the car to be dropped off at that time or he could just do it the next day early in the morning, and that was fine.
Both carrier drivers kept me well-informed. One of them told me when he was going to be here. Once he was here, we went through the whole process and it was good. The second one, he’d messaged me and told me how far he was and how soon he was going to get here. I would tell friends to try AmeriFreight, but good luck. If they find someone else, by all means they can try them out too. I’d probably invest more time in finding a different carrier or company.

My son moved to California and he took the car with him. My husband looked online and saw that AmeriFreight had quite a few stars, so he picked them. The transport organizer was wonderful. She got a transporter the next day and they delivered before my son got out there so he had to have it transported to a rent house so his friend looked it over. It was 3,000 miles and it took four or five days max, which was quick. I would use them again.

I'm in the military and I needed to ship my vehicle. AmeriFreight seemed to be the most professional transport company. Their quote was also very reasonable compared to other shipping companies. The transport organizer was also very helpful, friendly, and very good to consumer needs. The carrier driver was very understanding and very good at everything that he did. The process took about a week from beginning to end and it actually took less time than expected. AmeriFreight is very well at their job.

I was shipping a vehicle to my son and nobody was getting the job done except for AmeriFreight. I have listed the job with a couple of other companies and they weren't getting any truckers to go because the location was a difficult one for the winter, but at least Danielle, AmeriFreight's agent, stayed active with it. I was shipping from New Hampshire which does not seem to be a popular pickup location and the vehicle was going to Jackson, Wyoming which is a less popular drop off destination for these group of truckers. We used to ship our mother-in-law’s vehicle but that was an easy one because that was going from New York to Florida.
Everybody was saying they were going to have somebody at the end of the week until I finally changed the pickup location to Western Massachusetts, which is a busier area that is not far from me, and the drop off to Salt Lake City which is a thoroughfare for getting out to California. When I suggested this, we had three trucks in a half an hour. Danielle made it happen although I had mentioned this to her a couple of times and it took a while to convince her to do this. She said that we keep on trying and we would find someone. She was fine but I just wished that she had suggested this since it took almost three weeks to finally have this happen.
The initial quote I was given was fairly low, but we ended up paying several hundred dollars higher to get the job done. I didn't have a problem with that though. I understood that we weren't going to get the vehicle shipped for the lower price and I had to get the transport done. We met the driver and he picked up the car. He was professional and cordial. He didn’t leave that day as he was picking up other vehicles. The delivery was made without a hitch. It took them five days from the pickup date and the car was delivered right on time from what we were targeting. To sum it up, it's been a positive experience with AmeriFreight. There were a few things I would have liked to have seen differently, but if I was to ship a car again, I would call them. I would also tell my friends to give them a try.

I used to live in California and now I live in Tennessee. I was bringing the car from California and I had used AmeriFreight in the past. I used them again and the quote given was a little bit higher compared to last time but it was no big deal. I agreed to it. My previous experience was with a different transport organizer and he was very personable. This time, this guy was fine and polite. However, we ran into serious problems. I was totally unhappy and dissatisfied with the carrier.
I wasn’t in a big rush for the car but it seemed to take longer to get here than they quoted. What I was upset about was it was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday. They couldn’t make it because we had some bad weather. So, they rescheduled for the next day which was fine. The next day came around and I waited all day. They didn't show up, no call, no nothing. So, I said, “All right. The weather was worse wherever they were and they got stuck.” And then, at 9 o’clock PM I got a phone call, “Can you meet our driver about a mile away from your house?” I'm like, “What? It's 9 o’clock at night. I'm getting ready to wrap things up and go to bed.” “Well, you can either meet him tonight or he's going to keep the car and he's going to drive to Nashville and you're going to have to get the car in two more days, but then we're going to charge you extra money for storage.”
So, we got super pissed. I had no way out of the situation. She was right. She had me. I was either going to go out in the snow to pick up my car right then and there or wait two days and who knows what. It wasn’t the same situation. So, instead of fighting with her, I said, “Okay, fine. I'll meet your driver.” I went and met the driver. He was very apologetic. He was fine, a nice guy and I realized it wasn’t his fault. I got the car, came back, and said, “Never again.” Kind of a disappointing experience and I realized it wasn’t all AmeriFreight's fault. They don’t have a lot of control over the transporters, but overall, it was a poor experience.

The quote was about $500 less than what I paid for, which wasn't really great, but it's all right. The transport process took 4 days. I dropped my car off Sunday night and I picked it up on Thursday night. The carrier driver was pleasant, just not timely. I dropped my car off at 11:30 at night. They said that they were going to pick it up around 4 o'clock and it ended up being around 11:30 at night.

I was moving. I saw the good reviews of AmeriFreight online. I took advantage of their free quote option and I was comfortable with the quote given to me. The transport organizer was concise and nice as well. However, the vehicle took a couple of days beyond the expected delivery date. The rain slowed them down a little bit and some other reason behind them delivering other cars.
I was waiting within the day and then they told me it would be delivered tomorrow and then that day would come and then they told me it was the next day. So, there was a slight runaround. But besides that, it was clear. I aslo ended up getting the car in good shape. I'm still looking at the car, making sure everything is fine, and from what I see, everything's fine.

I was moving cross-country and AmeriFreight had really good reviews. Harry, the manager, explained the prices to me very well which the other companies didn't. He gave me the number of what they were going to bid and said that it could go up or down. I appreciated that he was upfront about it and the quote I was given was fair. Also, he was on point. He e-mailed, called, and double-checked. The customer service with him was above and beyond. You don't have that nowadays and it was quite a surprise.
The driver that was going to take my car ended up getting sick so it had to be rebooked at the last minute. Harry got me another one. It was a $100 more but I figured it was fair. I allowed him to go up on the price so I could get it done. The drivers were really nice and professional. They came to pick up my car and did their own inspection. My sister collected my car from them and she said they were very nice. The guy was super professional and my car was in fine shape. The whole process took about a week and it was right on point and the very low-end that I had expected. I would use them and Harry again. AmeriFreight lived up to their side of things. We were moving across the country and we weren’t going to be able to have the time. Versus other places I had talked with, Amerifreight seemed to be the most personable and straight to the fact, not trying to make things mysterious. They didn’t need to be all that. I thought they were helpful. They were proactive in their communication and responded, which by far was good, to get some other folks to start interacting with them.
They carrier driver was fine as well. I had a little bit of trouble trying to figure out how to do the cash on delivery with them. We had somebody logistics during navigating with the move. So they were flexible with figuring out the way that works for both of us to get the cash on delivery taken care of and receive the vehicle. It took a week or less to ship and that was about what we were thinking it was going to be, but they were already ready to deliver the vehicle ahead of one week that I actually received them. So they were certainly able to do it fast.
The final price is a little higher though than what I was told originally. I think given we had some more requirements around the timing of when the vehicle had to arrive and all of that, I would have preferred for it to be closer to the original estimate. But it wasn’t so far off that it was deal-breaker and they did what they said they were going to.

My wife doesn't drive very well and I didn't feel comfortable with her driving cross-country. So she rode in my truck and then we shipped her vehicle. I saw the deal from AmeriFreight on the internet but the quote was low-balled. The rep quoted $795 and it ended up costing me about $700 more than what the initial quote was. He told me nobody was taking on the contract and he asked me if I wanted to do a progressive increase. I said yes and two days later, it was all the way up to $1200-something. That was not progressive to me. But I was in a hard spot. I had a date that I needed to be in Texas. Besides he contacted me quite often and was very good otherwise.
The driver was cool and they were a male and female team. But they put the car down in the belly of the transport right behind the wheels of their truck and by the time it got from California to Texas, the thing was thrashed. I had dirt, mud and road grime because it came right off the back wheels of the truck's cab. It was splashing up on my wife's Camaro. So I wasn't real happy about that.
Also, the day that the vehicle was picked up, I asked the driver how much she was getting out of it and she said what I pay her on the day of delivery is what she makes. I ended up paying her $800 and something out of the $1,200. So AmeriFreight was making almost $400 for basically just getting my information and putting it on a website where the truckers can go to and make bids on them. I would have much rather paid the driver the money than somebody sitting on their butts, calling me on their phone and putting it on a webpage. If I could do it all over, I would just go through a trucking company or an independent trucking website and bid it myself.

I went online and looked at different transport companies then passed them all for a bid. AmeriFreight gave the lowest original bid which was $1095. They're a trucking broker and they put my information out then the truckers bid came in at $1200, $1300, and all the way up to $1500. All the trucking companies and the brokers are about the same, and the lower bid given upfront doesn’t mean anything. In the end, it actually cost me $1350 to get the car out from Michigan.
The AmeriFreight transport organizer I worked with was George and he was very good and helpful. We had excellent interactions and he called me back or he was right there every time I called. I said upfront that I wanted to put things in the car and I was told that if I'd get them stacked to cover the ceiling and keep it below the seat level then there would be no additional cost. When the trucking company came in Michigan, the carrier insisted that it was $150. We were arguing in the snowstorm and I needed him to pick up the car so I told him to just take the car and go. Then I called George, and George called them and got it straightened out. The whole process took less than a week, which was a little bit better than I thought. We were up against a time crunch because we moved across the country. We chose to use AmeriFreight due to their excellent ratings online. The drivers were great. They delivered exactly as promised and the vehicles were in good and same condition as when they left. But to get the two cars from New York, it took about a month. None of the three cars got shipped when they said that it was going to be shipped. We ended up having to pay more money to get the cars shipped in a timely fashion.
On the car that came from Ohio, the delay was due to a mechanical issue the driver had with his vehicle or trailer and then it ended up delaying the vehicle about a week. On the ones that came from New York, the delay was getting and finding a carrier that could bring the vehicles from New York to Washington. Then when we got into the situation where the cars weren't shipping as expected, there wasn't enough communication. Maybe that was just me being overly impatient, but I didn't think the transport organizer did a good job of managing my expectations of helping me feel good about, "Hey, there's a problem, but we're continuing to work it." And she explained everything very well. The quote given was reasonable. It was a very good price considering that we were coming from across the country. We had two vehicles that were shipped at two different times. And with the last vehicle, the Mustang, the final price went up just a little bit. I think it was just $80 more than what was quoted, so that wasn’t too bad.
I initiated the first vehicle back in January and Danielle kept in contact with me the whole way. And we knew that we had our stereo within maybe about a week out from the desired pick-up date. And it took 10 days to receive my Jeep. With the car, the estimated pick-up date wasn’t the actual date that the driver was able to pick it up. He picked it up the day after. And my husband felt that he was a bit rude. The driver didn’t speak to him too much or explain anything. And I was supposed to receive the car yesterday but I haven't. I was upset because the driver told me that it was definitely going to be there yesterday. The driver told me that he was having issues with a pick-up in Virginia, so he said it was going to be today.
And then today it’s still not there, and I'm going to be here. He said he’s going to drop it off tomorrow, which is a problem for my schedule. But we worked it out. I spoke with him. And so, I’m hoping that everything will be resolved and he’ll be able to drop off the vehicle tomorrow. I’m not too particularly fond of him or what he’s done. He’s trying to please other people for their high-dollar items instead of taking care of people that he already had on his truck. And he’s messing me over in the process, and I don’t appreciate that. But Danielle has been great. She followed up with me the entire way. So, I’ve had a good experience with AmeriFreight.

If anybody would need to ship a car, I’d tell them to use AmeriFreight and would give them all the information because that was how I shipped cars in the past. I’m a Georgia resident stationed out in Seattle, Washington. Ideally, to keep all my business stuff straight, I usually make all major purchases in Georgia. I bought a car over the holiday and had it shipped from Lithonia, Georgia to Seattle. The company that I used before was going out of business so I used another company. They did me okay but they had terrible reviews.
So I went on a car shipping website trying to find some of the best companies in the business and AmeriFreight was one them that had come up. I asked them for a bid on a weekend and they replied right away. They had something automatic that would give me a bid, but Danielle, the consultant, called me first thing Monday morning. She was very frank with me. She told me that she didn't think the quote was right and that it could be done for a certain amount. She walked me through the whole process. I was a little concerned about getting a driver because it takes a little longer during winter, but things went fine and they got back to me quickly.
When the consultant got me a driver, it happened lickety-split. The guy was coming from Miami and he wasn’t worried about picking up the car when it was snowing. He told me they'd pick it up in the evening the following day. But they ended up getting here at 2:00 AM which worked out fine for my folks. Then the consultant called in to check in on me after a day. Everybody there were excellent as well. When she wasn’t at the phone, her coworker’s would tell me they'd make sure Danielle would get. the massage. And when she got back, she called right back. Everything about the experience was good. This was the first one I shipped through AmeriFreight, but the fifth car I shipped from the east coast to the west coast overall. And this, by far, was the smoothest transition I had in getting my property. The payment was a breeze as well. I’ll use them again.

I called their rep and the rep called the carrier or the carrier's radio dispatch person and got the mix-up fixed. Other than that, everything was fine and it took them ten days from start to finish. My experience with them was pricey but worth the comfort.

We had to do a move across the country and had to ship one vehicle. AmeriFreight had a guaranteed quote of $1500 or a $1000 starting quote, but that was where the drivers could place a bid. Then people could wait for the drivers to place a bid and see the lowest price that one would take. The transport organizer was really friendly and did a really good job with the cheaper option to get the bids out. He tried to get someone to do that for us but the timing didn’t work out and they couldn’t get someone to do it so we ended up going with the guaranteed price. He made sure we were clear on everything. The carrier driver was really nice as well. We met the day before we left to drop off my car with him, and then he was out here before we were in two days. Overall, it was a really good experience. For any reason a friend would need to ship their car to a certain location, AmeriFreight would be really good for it.

I was moving across country from Nevada to Virginia. One of my colleagues used AmeriFreight before so he recommended them and sent their details on to me. We got called initially and they gave us a quote for free. In the end there, there was only a $100 difference between the quote and the price we paid. So the cost was reasonable. Their organizer very good, too. Her name was Danielle and any time I called or emailed, she got back to me in a timely manner and was able to answer all my inquiries.
Their driver was really nice as well. He arrived in Virginia a day early and I was not flying out until the next day. He said he could deliver the next day but if I could possibly get someone to get it earlier, that would suit him better. So I had to find a colleague to go and collect the car to help him out. I would recommend AmeriFreight to somebody else. They’re professional, they have a good price, and they provide good service. In fact, I already passed them on to somebody I know who was moving and was asking for a vehicle mover.

I was moving from Maryland to California so, I needed my car to go across the country. AmeriFreight had good reviews and the quote they gave me was pretty reasonable. Their rep, Harry, got in touch with me once the quote was sent to me. We talked about different options for shipping my car and he was very helpful with any questions that I had. He was pretty responsive and kept me updated with the carriers that picked up my order. While the car was being shipped, he was easy to get in touch with, too. On the day of delivery, the driver got in touch with me 24 hours before they arrived. He contacted me about an hour before they got to the delivery point. Once they got close, they dropped the car where I needed it and I got it in one piece.

We had a Bentley that needed to go from Birmingham, Michigan to Miami, Florida. I called Exotic Auto Transport but they jerked me around for a month then they finally said that they couldn't pick up the car. I called AmeriFreight that day and they quoted me a fair price. Their transport organizer, Jorge, was very helpful. Everything he said occurred as planned, and he called to follow-up. They got a driver that day to pick up the car and it was delivered to Florida in four days. The car was delivered a day early and people who received it were happy. I had a fabulous experience with AmeriFreight and I would recommend them to anybody who needs to transport a car.

I was moving from Vermont to Colorado and I didn’t have the time to drive the car myself. I’ve used other companies in the past, but they either have gone out of business or I just wasn’t able to work with them this time. I liked AmeriFreight's reviews so I went with them. However, the quote that we were given was a couple of hundred dollars lower than what we ended up paying.
It was also a little hard at first to get in contact with them, but once we got over that, things were really easy and everybody at their office was very helpful. When I couldn’t get a hold of the person I was working with, they were all able to help as well. The carrier driver was great as well. He picked up the car two days before I left and took a total of five days to have the car shipped. He dropped it off a little bit later than we had expected though because of some logistical stuff with the other cars on his truck. He put it off for an extra twelve hours which ended up working out okay for us. We really enjoyed working with our driver and overall, things worked out really well for us.
