When we were moving from California to Georgia, AmeriFreight was the only transport company that responded to an inquiry. Initially, I felt that the quote was a little over than what I had anticipated. But being in the situation I was in of only having one offer, that’s what we went with. I worked with a broker to identify the driver. I connected with him multiple times via phone and email and had very positive interactions with their carrier driver. The vehicle was picked up on a Friday and then it was delivered on the following Thursday. I’d recommend them to my family if I needed to use a transporter for cross country. They were very streamlined and straightforward. In the end, it was worth the extra dollar figure.

I live in North Carolina and I sold a vehicle to my daughter who lives in Pittsburgh. I transported it through AmeriFreight, which took three days, and the experience went fine. The transport organizer was very helpful and the quote that they gave me, though higher than what I wanted, was okay.

I'm the general sales manager at a car dealership. I sold a couple of vehicles to a couple of customers. I get the vehicles to them across the country. I got online, looked for a company with solid track record, and started using AmeriFreight. They got everything done in a timely manner, and got the ball rolling. It's just the actual drivers that they subcontracted to, that's to be desired. But I've used them three or four times in the last 90 days, and the first time, it was a problem with damage to the vehicle. Second time was perfect. Third time, I had a issue with the actual delivery of the vehicle. But none of it was AmeriFreight's fault.

They just need to make sure that the drivers that they get actually deliver what they said they're gonna deliver on time, and are reputable drivers. I have a lot of communication between the receiving party and the driver itself. That way, it kinda takes us, meaning the dealer and AmeriFreight, kinda out of it because we're just the facilitators of it. But the last one, was kind of a unique situation. We were sending it to Washington state because the customer that we sold the vehicle to was stationed in Washington, in the Air Force, and we couldn't actually take it on base. So we thought we could send it to a Toyota dealership in Washington state.

Come to find out, the dealer in Washington state wouldn't accept it, so the driver rode around for three days with this vehicle. In that case, it wasn't even the driver's fault. It was just if we had known that three days earlier, we could have communicated with the customer. The customer could have gotten in touch with the driver, and they could have worked out some way to get him his car, and that's what it was

But me and AmeriFreight finally got in touch with the driver three days later, and that's when we found out that information. But anytime I had a issue at AmeriFreight, and I picked up the phone, I called Samantha, which was my contact at AmeriFreight. She was Johnny-on-the-spot. She handled any issue I had, so I don't have a problem with AmeriFreight at all. In any transaction that you have like that, when you send something across country like that, you're gonna have issues. It's just one of those things you gotta work the kinks out. But other than that, everything else was perfect.

I was relocating for a new job. I considered three transport companies, but AmeriFreight seemed like a bigger company than the rest of them. I had very professional interactions with their transport organizer and they got my car shipped in a timely manner. The pickup and delivery of the vehicle were good. The guy was really fast and the entire shipment took four days. The vehicle arrived a little dirty which I expected, but in good condition.

I was moving and I shipped my vehicle with AmeriFreight because of their reputation and their pricing was pretty good. We initially talked over email and then I did a few phone calls and the organizer was very prompt. The driver picked the car up a day early but other than that, he was very professional and on time. The transport two or three days and they let me know when they were in the general area so I had one day to prepare. My experience with AmeriFreight was very solid.

We had a car shipped out from Louisiana to South Dakota with AmeriFreight. Better Business Bureau had a good rating for them so we went with them and we had a great experience. The organizer was very helpful and she kept in contact. Also, the quote was what it was. We sped the process up so it cost a little bit more but she told us that upfront. The transport took about a week and a half. The carrier driver answered her phone every time I called her and told me where she was at. We knew what was going on the whole time and she took the car right to the door where it was to be delivered.

I was buying a car and I paid 2,075 bucks to have it shipped coast to coast in the middle of winter in an enclosed carrier. The quote was totally fair and AmeriFreight did a great job. I was very happy with it overall. I had never done it before but I wanted a covered hauler. I went and got five quotes online and AmeriFreight was right in the middle. As a first time experience, I thought that would be the one to go with. Once I’ve made contact and initiated, they were very professional and everything went very well. They were honestly straight, no BS.

The only thing is that I had asked this specific question and they said that the car would stay in the same vehicle all the way from Washington D.C. to Salem, Oregon. I saw the video of the car going into the big closed car carrier. But when it came down, it was in a different, smaller one. So it had been removed and installed into something smaller. Somebody backed my GT500 out of one and put it into something else. But there was no damage. I’m fine with the service. They were also supposed to pick the car up on a certain day but they didn’t pick it up until the next day. They also said it would be delivered in five to seven days, and it was delivered on the eighth day. But I was totally fine with it because there was a major storm. It was winter weather between East Coast to West Coast, and it was horrible. So AmeriFreight did well. I was quite satisfied.

Our daughter had moved to South Carolina and she had our car. Then she bought a new vehicle so we were trying to get our car back to us. We’re here in Colorado. I looked at transport companies on the internet and everybody had pretty decent reviews. But it seemed as though AmeriFreight had the best reviews. They had competitive prices too. The representative I dealt with gave me all the information I needed and answered any questions I had. It was a positive experience and we were fortunate that he found a hauler the next day after I called. So it really worked really well for us. The transport took four days, which was quicker than what they had said. The driver was ahead of schedule a day or two and besides being dirty, the car arrived fine.

I was transporting a car for the first time and I wasn’t sure how things worked. I decided to do it through AmeriFreight after finding that they were either first or second on the list of transport companies with good reputations, and it worked perfectly. Their rep, Danielle, helped me get it all taken care of. We did it by email and some of it by phone and everything was as promised. They had a brand-new truck pick the car up on time and they said they would deliver it on January 1st, which was when it came.

They picked up the car about a week before we left home then kept it in a terminal up in Orlando. Then they had it transported here in Port St. Lucie three days after we arrived. The delivery driver rolled the car off and I took a look around it. Then I signed whatever I had to sign and gave him a cashier’s check. The car was dirty but it was like when they picked it up. So, I’ve been very satisfied with AmeriFreight. They weren’t the cheapest guys around but they were the one I was looking for - someone dependable and won’t damage my vehicle. I’ve also contracted with them to take my car home around the end of March.

AmeriFreight gave me a reasonable quote for shipping my vehicle 500 miles but I didn’t get it accomplished for that amount. I got quoted $645 but I ended up paying $795, which is about 25% more. I would rather have been told the real price upfront or an amount closer to it. And then, I had to give their rep the dimensions of the vehicle two or three times. I had to take pictures of me holding measurements, which I think was a miscommunication between the rep Danielle and the truck driver. Then at the pick-up site, the driver didn’t have the paperwork for when you walk around the vehicle to check it, to look for damage and to make sure that nothing is missing. When he delivered it, he also didn’t have any of that. And that’s even after I had already talked to Danielle, and she said that the driver has to have that all fixed.

I know that the truck driver is an independent contractor and not really an employee of the broker, but that guy didn’t have any of the paperwork necessary at the beginning or at the end. And so, in truth, the transport was completely illegal. A bill of lading is a legal piece of paperwork. If he had gotten pulled over, he would have had some serious explaining to do. Another thing, only the two front wheels of the shipped vehicle were secured. I guess that’s on the liability of the guy driving the truck, but if he had to do emergency braking, I would be concerned from the point of driving the truck and having only secured the two front wheels. Straps aren’t that expensive so I would have thought that he would wanna strap the back wheels down.

The issue wasn’t so much AmeriFreight. Still, I wouldn’t use that truck driver again as he needs some improvement. Thus, AmeriFreight needs some improvement in vetting their drivers. The trucking industry is probably filled with people that know what they're doing, but not everybody should run a business. Some of the guys doing the trucking would do just fine at the trucking business, but they're not that great at providing paperwork and answering or returning phone calls, which is where AmeriFreight fits in. In this incident, AmeriFreight didn’t provide any of those. They fit our need to get stuff moved from here to there, but it could have been a better experience.

We have a distribution agreement to distribute a certain vehicle in South Florida and there was a boat show. We had a lot of showings coming that week, and so we were trying to ship the vehicle down there. We were going from Danville down to Fort Lauderdale and AmeriFreight was one of the transport companies that came up. We called AmeriFreight and got a quote fairly quick. We were happy with the price on it. It was a rush situation, so everything was prompt on their end. I was in contact with them the whole time, and they were good at following up on any issues that arise throughout the process.

The AmeriFreight rep and I made sure that both parties were on the same page if we had to change a pick-up time or a pick-up date. It was a little fluctuating because the product was gonna be done, and we were trying to estimate when it was gonna be done. It wasn’t like it was done and then we scheduled. It was like monitoring two projects at the same time to make sure everything was simultaneously working. They also kept me on the same page on whatever was happening on their end.

The courier driver provided a certificate of insurance right upfront. AmeriFreight chose all carriers that were insured on their end. The driver drove the vehicle down and said that he was gonna try to get it there in two days. He got it there in one day and everything was fine when it was delivered. We'll probably use AmeriFreight again. I was happy with the experience, and also with the involvement and the number of callbacks. They're open late too to accommodate the different hour changes in time zone. So, I was happy with it.

One of my cousins suggested I have the vehicle transported. It was a last minute decision because I was due to fly out on a Saturday afternoon, and I only got a hold of AmeriFreight on a Friday afternoon. Originally, they were gonna try and pick it up on Saturday morning, but that did not happen. Instead, I gave my tenant a key, and she was there when they came for the pickup. The carrier driver was very, very nice. The car arrived quickly and while I had washed it before I left, it was dirtier than it was, but that was a long haul. First thing first I am a person on the inside who is privy to all of the deceptive practices used by this company for years. I am not a disgruntled former employee looking for revenge. Their employees are willing participant is the lies told daily by the company. How do I know you ask? I had to let go of my truck's dispatcher and told her to give this company a call since she lived nearby. The lengths this company goes to trick people is sickening. Behind the scenes we all have access to what the going rates or comps are. The deceptions starts here (actual customer case) customer call to move Luxury SUV. (Going rate 1350). What does this company tell them the price is 950. I know you must think well the customer is saving 400... Wrong.

What happens here is the customer is intentionally misquote by 400 in order to get the sale and charge their fee of 250 and 500 depending on how much they think they can get out of the customer all while telling the price way too low to attract anyone at all, if they do It is usually the one no other company will give loads to. My old employee told me their motto 'Don't sell the dispatch, sell the sale". In other words tell them whatever they want to hear to get them in the door and sell the dispatch later (after the customer is backed into a corner). Now is where the customer realizes they have been duped. AmeriFreight still has tricks up their sleeve in store. They falsely blame the carrier by saying the carrier asked for 400/500 more.

This goes to show that the price quoted wasn't even a serious one. Meanwhile AmeriFreight is plotting to get more from the customer this way. They add even more into the price (more for them and a little bit more so they can give the customer a phony rebate or discount. The reviews come into play with the rebate on the contingency of leaving more than one or two reviews saying how great the company or no rebate. If you look up their complaint record this is all they say. That and how bad the driver are. (read above).

I read one complaint that literally said the driver sent forcible kissed the customer multiple times. ** The list goes on and on how bad these guys truly are but their bribe game is so on point all of the people leaving truthful reviews are buried under the bribed ones. I have been hauling cars for years and have not nor will ever haul anything for them. Don't be one of their silent victims.

The initial quote was super low and I didn't know what the rationale behind it was. Eventually, the market value was too high. We closed to a quote that was closer to the market value than what was initially told. I understand that it's a bidding process. But during the quote process, I wish the quote can be a number which is much closer to the final value and not too much of a difference. My thing was roughly $500 off from my initial estimate. But overall, it was a nice experience. The driver was very courteous and friendly. Our whole interaction was very smooth. For the move, they committed to be done within five days and as they said, even with the bad weather conditions, everything went as expected.

I moved out of the United States, so I needed to ship a car across the country. AmeriFreight said they could give a better rate than other shippers and I got a better rate from them. Some of the quotes that were offered upfront were way overpriced. AmeriFreight 's quote was a little too low, but it was a decent quote and then the actual price wasn’t too much more than what they quoted initially. But their email format looked super not legit and didn’t sound professional. Initially, I even thought their email was spam. I had to look them up on Better Business Bureau to make sure they were a legitimate company.

They booked the shipping through a company. Although dealing with the transport organizers was good, it was a little confusing at first and there was a misunderstanding based on what I had needed and what they had thought I meant. We were trying to coordinate the pickup schedule with my work. I work 12-hour days for five days a week and I can't bring my cell phone where I work. But they were scheduling the wrong date to pick my car up and I needed it to go out at a different date. I had a no-earlier-than date, but they were scheduling it to be picked up before that date. That was annoying, but eventually they got the schedule to work.

I was trying to figure out when exactly the driver was gonna come to pick up the car and kept trying to get in touch with them. They repeatedly said they would call but then nothing would happen. That was not a favorable experience. Other than that, it took the vehicle six days to get from the East Coast to the West Coast and given the distance, that was a reasonable amount of time.

I chose AmeriFreight because they have good reviews, but I was bummed out because they gave me a quote for $790, but then when the time came, it was $1,200. It was around Christmas time, the holidays, and winter time. That probably bumped up the price more. They warned me that it could go up but I thought it may be $100 or $200. When I got the call, it was a lot more than that so it was disappointing, but all in all, it was worth it. AmeriFreight was good. They told me not to worry if we didn’t hear from them because it would be until a few days before they found a driver.

We asked for around $1,200 and we got it for $1,500 which was way above our budget so that was a little bit frustrating but other than that, our experience with AmeriFreight had been great.

I moved from Texas to Colorado and I wasn’t gonna drive the car. Danielle from AmeriFreight did a really good job of explaining everything that was going on so that I felt comfortable. Since I’d never done it before, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and she made me feel better about it, and I appreciated that. She was very thorough and she followed up, which was very helpful. She really stayed on top of her stuff. Their quote was closely competitive as well.

Danielle explained that there would be certain windows of time and that I needed to plan on it being lined up differently with my move than I expected it to be. But everything worked out within the windows that I needed and everything was delivered on time. The only thing I would have appreciated knowing about the whole process was that when I got my car back, it was so filthy. I couldn’t see out the windows. I had to take the rental car back and I could hardly drive my car. Nonetheless, the driver was very communicative. He called me frequently, I knew exactly where he was and exactly when he would show up. He was within his designated time frame and was very polite to talk to.

She was terrific, very responsive and really patient with us. We had a tight budget and she was very consistent in trying to give us the best deal. That personal touch and the stir of how AmeriFreight does its pricing, bidding and brokering made me feel a lot more confident that we were gonna get a reasonable price. The structure of how the brokering happens and Nicole championing that one-on-one made our experience great. Things went great with the driver as well. He got here right around the rush hour and the car was in great shape. It seemed like he took really good care of it. He was kind and he got the car unloaded quickly and safely in a busy part of town.

I purchased a vehicle out of state and through the online reviews, I decided to go with AmeriFreight. They give a low-ball quote and it was the absolute lowest rate that you ever get, but reality was different. If you want to do business with them, they raise it by 300 or 400 bucks. What the quote means is you have an indefinite time period on when you need the service. They're just a broker so they're looking for somebody. They may find someone to do it for that job, but nobody has six months to ship the product. That's exactly what happened. He said, "Nobody really gets that low rate."

The car was picked up within three days at the time they said they were gonna pick up. They were gonna call to confirm and it never happened. I had to call four times and they said they'd arrive at 9 o'clock in the morning, but they showed up at 6 o'clock at night. There were a lot of communication issues, including very poor communication with the driver, but once the car was loaded, they did a great job and I would use them again if I had to. The quote I was given initially was also the price that I paid in the end, which was very good. Everything AmeriFreight did was good.

Shipping my vehicle is the easy way out rather than driving from Pennsylvania to Florida. But we had never used anything like it before so we're a little apprehensive that our car would wind up someplace. AmeriFreight's transport organizer was very helpful and knowledgeable. She walked me through the whole process and what was happening. Each person that I spoke to took their time to explain things to me. We had specific dates that we wanted it shipped so it cost us more, but whatever the cost was fine. Their carrier driver called me half an hour and had the time to let me know he would be there soon. He brought the car and took it off the truck. I parked it, and we spoke a little bit. The vehicle was dirty but we expected that since it was an open carrier. Other than that, everything went fine. I would recommend AmeriFreight.

He told me how the process would go and got everything set up for me that same day. He was very proactive. Also, the carrier driver was transparent about when he would be arriving and told me that he would call me a little closer to the pick up day so that he could give a more accurate estimate. It was a seamless process. When the vehicle arrived, it was in the same condition as when he picked it up.

I relocated to Oklahoma. I had two vehicles--I drove one and the other one was to be shipped. AmeriFreight initially quoted me a lower price which made me go with them. They let me know that the price was subject to change. The price definitely changed, but I didn’t think it would change that much. Still, it was okay. It was in line with what other people had quoted at the time.

The representative I had was great. She was pretty good at communication and kept me up-to-date on what was going on even though it took longer than I expected. It was about a month from the time they picked the vehicle up to when it was delivered, but they were in communication with me throughout. AmeriFreight explained that they had a carrier cancel on them at one point. Also, there were not many cars coming in my direction around the holidays. Then, when the vehicle arrived, it was in fine condition.

Because it was close, I really need to move my vehicle, so I did that. However, it would be good if they could properly give us the right amount because when making the decision, $100 is almost 20% more the final price that they estimated. I needed to transport across 2,300 miles since I moved and I talked to a lot of shipping companies. But a lot of them just wanted me to sign on the dotted line but they could not explain to me what I was signing. Then I talked to Samantha from AmeriFreight. She took the time to help me understand the industry and how it works so I eventually went with them. Their quote was low and way off though. I shipped three vehicles and the quote was $835 per vehicle. But two of them came in at over $1,300. Then with the last one, we could not get anybody to move it for $1,500 so we had to raise it by 200 bucks to $1,700. So the last one almost doubled on the quote.

The quotes were definitely lower than what was realistic. But even the companies I didn’t go with, I feel that they all lowballed me to get me to sign up. I have no complaints with AmeriFreight though, even with the quoting deal. I think it's the nature of their kind of business to do that. And that aside, AmeriFreight’s service was excellent. The transport took six days the first time and this second time took eight days. Even though one of the carrier drivers made a statement that I had a question about, AmeriFreight handled it. The driver had told me not to worry if I wouldn’t be at the delivery and that he would just drop the car off at a tow yard. I was like, “What?” I mentioned it to AmeriFreight and they made sure that nothing like that was gonna happen.

But carriers are one thing and AmeriFreight, the broker, is another thing. Besides, the other guy who carried my car was all right. He was a good person. I would recommend AmeriFreight. In fact, I would recommend whoever I'm recommending to call Samantha directly. A lot of the reasons why I felt really comfortable was because of her. I shipped the vehicles back through AmeriFreight and ended up driving my other vehicle back after Christmas. I scheduled with them a month before I needed the vehicle shipped and everything was fine until three days before. They were completely unable to find any carriers and so, they ended up having to over double the price that I was quoted just to find somebody to pick it up. The price difference was told to me approximately seven hours before the vehicle was picked up, so I didn't have a whole lot of time to re-evaluate. However, it wasn’t completely their fault.

Where the vehicles were getting picked up was in a remote area of West Virginia and that wasn't the first time I've had an issue getting a vehicle either shipped from or to this location. Generally, if you could schedule it enough before in advance to know when you're gonna need to be there, it would get picked up in one of the heavier transport cities. So, you should be in a location where there are more vehicle transports to come pick it up. Nevertheless, the guy who picked up the car was excellent. The customer service reps were great and the quotes were free. There wasn't any, “Pay $200 upfront.” It was all done once the vehicle was picked up and everything was with the folks.

I was stationed overseas serving the military and I needed to move my car to my new duty station. After looking at several different companies and all their reviews, including reviews from the Better Business Bureau, I thought that AmeriFreight seemed the best overall. So, I went with them. The price they gave me was fair and the amount I pain in the end was close enough to what they quoted.

But the rep I worked with could have been a little more professional in the way that we spoke back and forth by email. They should consider the emails as official correspondence with a citation for agreeing and some kind of ending, not a one line here in any email. Also, it always seems really kinda rushed for me to know things about the transport of my car. This was a big deal for me to ship my car with some company I've never shipped before and to trust someone to take my vehicle all the way across the US. Maybe AmeriFreight forgot that overtime, so they don’t put as much effort into that correspondence. But that was my impression.

Other than that, the carrier driver was great and very nice. He showed up on time like he said he would and called me ahead of time. He went over everything that we were supposed to, loaded up the car up, and left. The same thing happened on the receiving end for the delivery. I'm 77 and my partner is 85. We felt that driving was a high-risk situation for us and the reason why I went with AmeriFreight was that $700 possibility. But I didn't quite understand that that would be off-season. The probability was very small that the $700 quote would be in-season. You go into a casino hoping to win and you go with the lowest possibility of $700 to get 1,600 miles down to Florida. But at a certain time of year, the probability is far greater that you're going with the top dollar. That wasn't clear. What I thought from what AmeriFreight wrote and from the person I dealt with was that we could go out there at $700 and see who would bid it. But nobody did. We were wanting to get down here a certain time because we had non-refundable airline tickets. And the fact was that we were looking at a time in October when people were starting to ship down for the snowbirds.

It was our first time and we were totally ignorant when we started this process. But it was my not fully understanding when I was pricing out the transport and comparing prices with different companies that the low price could happen. But the person we dealt with at AmeriFreight tried two different or three different ways to clarify though. She was as clear as one could be that it goes out to bid and you can't tell. The price does depend on whoever would want to come down here at that time. When we went to settle our date, it was very clear to the person we dealt with and to ourselves that we were gonna have to take whatever bid we got. We had to take the highest chance, which was $1,400 and some. But that aside, everything went really well. AmeriFreight gave us a good person to haul us down and it went smoothly. I'd recommend AmeriFreight.

I could always get in touch with them. It's just that they could never get a hold of the broker, that was shipping the car, in a timely manner. When I asked if they got the car the broker was impossible to get a hold of. It took a couple days for them to even give a response. I only got a callback when AmeriFreight tried to reach out to them. I got a call back a day or two later saying, "Hey, here it is." But every time I tried to call the broker directly, there was no answer.

From the time that they picked up the vehicle out of state or it took like a couple weeks. It was probably the longest process I've seen, but maybe it was because of the route. The broker wanted to pick some things up along the way. They were in Seattle, Washington, and I was in Florida. So my advice to AmeriFreight would be to disclose that to a customer that the car would arrive safe, but they would not be able to contact the broker easily throughout the wait. But overall AmeriFreight was great. The broker wasn't communicating very well but the car made it safe.

He was also able to advise me based off of the patterns for the season as far as if there was a good likelihood where we would get additional options and what the price range would be within those options.

The quote was higher than I was expecting. Last time, it cost me about $1,000 to get the car cross-country and that was during the winter season. But given that it has been four years and gas is expensive, I wasn’t too terribly put out with the increase. The rep was also fairly upfront with what the end dollars would be and there weren't any additional fees that I had to worry about. AmeriFreight also still offers additional insurance for anything that the carrier operator's insurance would not cover if the vehicle were to be damaged by storms in transit or on its way to us off the rig.

When the rep contacted me after I had signed the contract, I thought that it would be pretty instant to the carrier. But when I called the carrier to confirm some details, they had only just gotten the information. So I was a little ahead on that one. But for the pickup, I was told that getting a pickup vehicle down was hard so the location ended up being a parking lot. But it was the same location as last time and it was easy to follow. I had a family member on the East Coast handling the pick-up and he didn’t have any issues. The route was approximately the same and there was an establishment of communication. I was given the carrier’s information if I needed to follow up with them. But I wasn't stressed out about it at all and it was pretty hands-off this time.

For the drop-off over here, I got a call a couple of hours in advance. The carrier had also given me a call before that, giving me the range so we could expect the drop-off. Last time, they ended up delivering three days in advance of what they had quoted me and I had to scramble a little bit. But this time, it was right on the nose from the estimate. So that was reassuring. You can expect to wash your car at the end unless you're getting covered transport. But the experience was on par with my expectations and I would certainly use AmeriFreight again or recommend them to others if they had to do a similar coast-to-coast route. Harry, the agent I worked with, was very helpful, upfront and prompt. So I’d recommend him in particular.

Since I was moving back home, I needed to ship my car from California to Georgia. I called three different people and I saw five different companies on the internet. The guy from AmeriFreight was very upfront and informative. He told me how it was and how it was done. He also informed me on how the system works. And as with the other company, he kinda warned me on what they would do.

During the pickup, the guy who came was very nice and friendly, so that was nice. The delivery was really good too. The driver called ahead of time saying he might be there in an hour or that he might be there around a particular time. He also called an hour before he was actually there. From pickup to delivery it took less than seven days. The move was on a whole other side of the coast so it was a pretty good timeline. The original quote I was given was around 900-something, but the final quote was 1,300. It was the same throughout with the other companies as well, so I wasn't upset about it.

My initial estimate was for $1063. This was for the "economy" pricing. I actually read the terms and understood that there was around a 35% chance of this price happening as it is contingent upon carriers basically filling empty space on an existing run. Based on that, I planned on paying a bit more to get my vehicle moved. Richard did a great job of keeping me in the loop while finding a carrier to transport my RX-7 from Kansas to Oregon. I took a couple offers from carriers either coming in way overestimated price ($1400) or wanting to pick up the next day or in a few hours from initial contact before we found one that worked.

Since I wasn't under tight time constraints, Richard helped me work through not just accepting the first offer when it came in too high. He also helped find a carrier that could handle me not being immediately available by phone during business hours due to my job constraints. The carrier that Richard eventually found me picked up the vehicle from a storage facility and dropped it off a day earlier than expected.

We just moved from West Coast to the East Coast and needed to ship our vehicle. We went to AmeriFreight because of the price. And while the original quote was fine, it bumped up about 40%. It went up towards what the other quotes were and I fully understood why so I'm not complaining. Everything went smoothly with our transport organizer, Danielle. And although I haven't given any money, I was committed. I've never done it before so having the car transported properly in a timely fashion was more of the issue than anything else and it worked out great.

They told me it would be about a week, and it got there within a week. The driver was great too. He was very communicative. I had no trouble at all with him. In fact, I really had no trouble at all with any of the processes even though the car was dirty, but you have to expect that since it went 2,400 miles. Given my experience, I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight.

She was very knowledgeable and came back in the right amount of time to get me what I needed. Our interactions with the carrier driver during pick-up and delivery made our experience the best. All the rep did was set up the move but the gentleman that AmeriFreight used to transport the vehicle down here was fantastic. He met us and delivered the car in great shape. The quote we were given didn’t change too. The shipping process took three days. The whole experience was something that I would highly recommend. My brother had a car sent over by AmeriFreight a couple of months before and he was very happy with them, so I got them as well to ship my car from California to Florida. I took advantage of their free quote option. The transport organizer, Richard, was on top of things and did an amazing job. I had to call a couple of times because it was around Christmas time and Richard was saying that was gonna affect things a little bit. But I got a callback in a couple of days from a shipping company that was very fast. I put in the request for shipping on a Thursday and got a callback from Richard on a Monday. Then the transport company, California-Florida Transport, was here the next day and they were great.

It took under a week for my car to make it to Florida, so the transport was better than we expected. It was super quick and we weren't expecting it to be that quick. The car is 20 years old, but there wasn't a scratch on it and nothing was found when it got back. I'm very happy with AmeriFreight. I might be shipping a vehicle again next year and I would definitely go with them.

I was receiving a car from a family member and I needed to get it from California to Georgia. I had a conversation with the AmeriFreight representative who was very helpful and I liked the idea of them acting as an intermediary. However, AmeriFreight's quote was not close to what I actually ended up paying and there was a bit of a breakdown in my interactions with the carrier driver.

My request was that AmeriFreight would be doing the communication with the carrier, but I received a call from the carrier stating that they were not gonna drop off at my location, which I was not aware of. They provided me an address which was an active lane and it wasn't even a parking lot. It was just like they would drop it off on the street. So I had to work with the carrier and I found an alternative location which they thankfully accepted. But it was a significant amount of time and energy going back and forth with the driver who couldn't communicate very well, and then their dispatcher who I don't think was non-complacent. They had to sort of shift their schedule.

Then there was the lack of transparency. My understanding was that the car was gonna be dropped off at my house, and I was never communicated to until close to pick-up when they were on their way to drop off, within five miles of their location. I thought that the pick-up would be a lot easier. Nevertheless, it was three to four days from the time they picked up my vehicle up to when it was delivered. They arrived the day before the expected date. They didn't drop off at my wife's house though and I needed to take time off from work. We had an event also, so it added to the hassle. Moreover, it was compounded by the fact that most of that transaction occurred over the weekend which I recognize she was not gonna be working, but it was a casualty of bad scheduling to where that was in my responsibility.

There are so many carriers out there that I'm confident that another carrier would have acted on my behalf. Someone else might have been able to rise to the occasion. This is not my first time transporting a car, and undoubtedly, I'll have to do it again. However, I will probably go back out to bid rather than go directly to AmeriFreight.

Once we did that, everything just lined up perfectly.

I live on the West Coast and have family on the East Coast. I wanted to have a vehicle on that coast so I sent it. The initial quote from AmeriFreight was the lowest amongst the seven quotes that I got. It caught my attention although based on the vehicle and the distance, it went significantly higher than I thought it was going to. I sent an email to AmeriFreight and a rep replied to me. Their customer service was fantastic and whenever I needed to have communication, the rep got back to me within a day or less and sometimes within the next hour. When I called, she was ready to answer her phone and gave me some information or track down the information I was looking for.

AmeriFreight initially said it was going to be door-to-door transport but because I lived on the Coast of Oregon and the truck was being delivered to a smaller town in Upstate New York, they wanted me to bring the truck somewhere around I-5 running through Oregon. I did that and they dropped the vehicle off along I-90 Freeway in New York. My vehicle was picked up by a flatbed tow truck driver and was then driven up to where the truck was gonna start its trip to New York. It cost me four and a half hours getting the truck from where I live to where it was going to be picked up and cost my brother three or four hours to pick the vehicle up on the freeway so that wasn't ideal.

Also, I nor my brother could not get a hold of the driver directly which was very frustrating. I got his phone number from the broker but that phone number didn't ring and immediately went to his voicemail saying the person wasn't available and that the mailbox was full. That was not very nice and I did not appreciate that. Still, my experience was satisfactory in general. The shipping went fine and the truck was in good shape.

He gave us the price range that he thought we could get it at, although it clearly wasn't that. It was $300 or $400 more expensive and it didn't deliver on itself. The broker was just in it for their broker fee and didn't go above and beyond. It took around 16 days to deliver. They picked up before Thanksgiving and sat on it. The broker who was in charge of our transport said that he couldn't get a driver on the phone or couldn't even get in touch with the dispatch, so the car was delivered a day later than what the window was. It was delivered on the 2nd and it was supposed to be the 29th to the 1st. It felt like they took their money, they got their cut, and they really didn't give a crud.

The price that they had originally offered me was also considerably higher, so I didn't feel like they cared to really negotiate with the drivers and get us the number that was closer to what they quoted. The person who was assigned to us was a nice guy but I felt he was blowing smoke up my ** towards the end. There was one specific instance when I asked him where the car was and why was it taking so long. He said that it showed that the vehicle was delivered, but I told him it was not. I felt like the guy was sleazy.

AmeriFreight didn't really manage the driver well. The guy said he couldn't get in touch with the driver or dispatch, yet my father-in-law was able to get on the phone with them to tell me updates better, so I felt the broker did not care about keeping us informed, keeping our mind at ease, and holding the driver accountable for not sticking to its deadline. I was originally quoted one price but then when the driver got nearby, I was called and told all these extra stuff in the car that accounted for more weight and that the driver needed a greater payment. I called the driver and he wanted $400. I asked if I could have it down to $200 and he said it was okay. I got a bit squeezed at the end but that was the only hiccup in the whole process and it wasn't entirely unfair.

The transport took four days rather than seven and it was faster than I expected. Although I was having the car dropped off at a shop and I was scrambled to have enough room to take the car, but it was okay and I would rather have the car faster than slower. I understood how it worked as this was a driver who was transporting multiple vehicles with multiple stops at different places along the way. He communicated well, called me the day before and things were fine. Also, it was a much more high-end expensive car carrier than I expected. Typically, it's an open carrier that's enclosed with cloth but he had the kind that transports race vehicles so it was a large box trailer with multiple car levels inside so it was amazing. It was well done and I would recommend AmeriFreight.

I was surprised to find that he was from the Virginia, Norfolk area. He knew exactly where I was trying to get the car to. He called off a couple of streets, so he was very familiar with where we were going. He was real nice and personable. My brother took delivery on the other end and didn’t have any issues. I had a great experience with AmeriFreight overall.

Shipping my daughter's car through Amerifreight was definitely the right choice out of the numerous quotes we had to choose from. You see, my daughter is a young adult in the US Navy and is currently stationed in California. Home, however, is in Indiana. There are 2,183 miles between us. But of course, I still get to do some of her legwork and still the one to read the fine print on important decisions. Back in March she drove her car home for me to keep safe while she went on a 6 month deployment to Japan. We had originally hoped and planned that when she returned Stateside I could drive her car back to California for her and hopefully take in some sights but, over the months, circumstances for both of us changed and it just wasnt a feasible trip. Regardless, she NEEDED her car for work and getting around an enormous base.

We considered several options but after researching ideas and weighing costs, we decided to have her car shipped. Being a first time for both of us looking into Car shipping, we were kind of overwhelmed. We had no clue how it all worked at first so I dug into the internet. I looked up several sites that compare multiple car shipping sites at one time and considered their reviews. I must've read about 50 different Car Shipping Companies from the comparison sites. But, only a few made the cut on all the lists and even less made it in the top 5 ranked Shipping Companies in every comparison. AmeriFreight was the only car shipping company who checked out across the board. Working with a desperate for her car daughter, little money, and it being the week before Thanksgiving no less, I fearfully and naively requested quotes from all of the few that were in the top 5.

Almost immediately, all of them responded but, only 1 fell within our budget. Again, it was AmeriFreight. So, when Richard **, a representative from AmeriFreight, personally contacted me regarding their quote I secured them as our team. Richard explained the shipping process in detail. We learned that places like AmeriFreight are sort of the middleman between the customer and the Carrier Companies. Richard negotiated on our behalf with those companies. We only had $900 we could pay and not a penny more. Being the week of Thanksgiving, the average price from all of the Carriers was well over $1100. But Richard went above and beyond refusing to give up until he found us a Carrier, at our asking price, and one with an A+ rating. He worked the details out with the Carrier and explained the rest of the process we would go through from that point.

The Carrier driver called me direct at that point and confirmed AmeriFreight's arrangement. I met the driver at our discussed time, signed off, and off the car went to California. Within 3 days my daughter had her car back safe and sound. I have a very happy daughter and she has her car. We owe it all to AmeriFreight and specifically, Richard **. He was professional and down to earth but most importantly, he knows his job and does it well all while jumping through hoops to oblige his customer's needs. Here's 4 thumbs up from my daughter and I for AmeriFreight. We will definitely choose them for all of our car shipping needs in the future!!

I called two others companies and asked, but my daughter had used AmeriFreight before 3 times and she recommended it when I was looking. She said she always had good experience with them. The quote was 925 and the other ones were higher, closer to 2,000. The letter said $600 and some, and that’s all I brought with me for the truck guy, and he says, “No, you owe 1,200.” I was wrong, because it really was that much. Nobody ships a car for that little. So there was a little misunderstanding, but I had the cash and I did pay him.

AmeriFreight called me and I said, “I understand, and I’m really sorry." I even made the call, that I had the poor man wait for a while but it was all said and over. The rep who helped me didn't speak very much English, but he did his job. The carrier driver called me when it was to be picked up. He was a little bit late, but that was okay. He couldn’t get into my daughter’s townhouse complex because his truck was too big, so we went outside a bit and he put the car right on and said it would be so many days. I had picked a parking lot of a grocery store, and that was exactly where it was delivered. The vehicle was dirty but it was in good shape.

I did a quote with AmeriFreight and they gave me $700. By the time the vehicle ended up leaving, it was $1,100 and I didn’t like that at all. The rep called to tell me that the rate I got from their system is estimated and they can only ship that car for 900. The quote that they gave me was based on them shipping my car guaranteed within a short period of time. That was why I went with them. I’ve owned trucks before and we’ve always had insurance on the vehicles in case something goes wrong, so I know how the industry work. But their reps came to recommend that I have an insurance on the vehicle. Otherwise, if something goes bad, I have to deal with it. I can’t go to Mississippi to pick it up and drive it here so I was looking at a $700 bill and all of a sudden, it's at $1,100. They do what they said they were going to do. But I don’t like their business practice.

I was gonna pay with my American Express, and they said that if I were to use American Express, they have to charge me extra. So, using my American Express cost me an additional $70 and I had to go on credit with it. When I came to make the payments, they picked up the next day. I’m never gonna use them. They exploited my vulnerabilities. If I buy another car out of state, I’ll either go drive it or I’ll take my time and have somebody come to drive for me. Transportation is well-regulated by the government and once you agree on a project and somebody gives you a payment, you are required to pick up the item and deliver the item the way it should be. The only thing is I don’t know about the car-hauling industry. That was the only reason why I didn’t wanna argue too much. But, I’m not gonna use them anymore. They were very dishonest.

They started by telling me there was no truck in the area at all so it’s gonna take a bit of time only for them to tell me right after I gave them payment that they found somebody. When I do business, I don’t care too much about the contract. I care more about the people I’m doing business with. If I think they’re genuine and they’re legit, I don’t mind going to agreement with it, and this was one of my terrible mistakes. They were duping me. Nonetheless, the truck driver was excellent. When I met him to pick up the car, I found out that he is an owner-operator and he drives his own truck. So, his attention to stuff is quite different from somebody who is driving somebody else’s truck. The problem is with AmeriFreight. So, I’m not doing business with them again.

I felt uneasy with their process when the quotes first started coming in. I used their free quote option and it came in a little too low. Then the initial pricing that I was given at the beginning was higher. And the price with who we finally went with was drastically higher than that amount. Since we had some time to play with, I was able to get something lower than the initial quotes, but still higher than the free quote. If someone was trying to budget against the initial quote and they had it in their mind, then that may cause some issue. It would be better to give a range, between this price and this price, so one can have data for payment. Overall, everything was fine.

So, it delayed when our departure was. But as far as delivery went, everything was on time and communicated effectively. The driver was courteous and pretty much on par with what I would expect from a delivery driver.

I needed to ship my car from Phoenix to Arizona and I chose AmeriFreight based on the pricing. The woman I dealt with was good and the only thing I didn't like probably had nothing to do with her. It was the company's policy. There was something in the quote to be effective within five days. But it wasn't in actuality five days. It was six days. That was a little bit confusing. I also wouldn't use the driver again. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone either.

When I tried to shake the guy's hand, he kept his hand balled in a fist. I understand people from other countries don't believe in touching other people. But after he picked up my car, he had a clipboard that was still open and he used the hood of my car to shut the clipboard close. He put it down and kinda slammed it down on my car. That was very disrespectful or just lackadaisical on his part. On the other hand, he did ship my car within three business days. But my father was picking up my car and I was trying to communicate with the driver, asking if he could give me a time so I could let my dad know when to be there. I guess he didn't speak English very well so I don't think he understood what I was saying. So there was a communication barrier there.

Then when he told me when the car was coming, my dad tried to get cash out. But the ATM would only let him pick up so much cash. He told me he would have to wait until the bank opened in the morning for him to get the rest of the money out. When the driver arrived that morning, he called and said that he was here. I told him my dad had to run to the bank really quick and he would be there within 15-20 minutes. But my dad told me that when he picked up the car, the driver seemed angry. He was sitting in my dad's driveway and he looked like, ”I have other places to be. I have other cars to drop off.” That was a little creepy. So I would not recommend the company to anyone.

We were moving across the country and had already decided that we were gonna ship a car by the time we had contacted AmeriFreight. Before that, I did a bit of shopping around online and found AmeriFreight's price to be average. In the end, I picked them 'cause they seemed a little more transparent than some of the other companies I talked to. They were upfront on how the process works, and that the price could be higher or lower. They also had good reviews online.

I had a good interaction with the transport rep and getting set up was all seamless. They made the process easy. They explained everything up front and once they got to that point, it was all smooth sailing. However, we ended up paying a little higher than the estimate that we got online. But I had read in a lot of reviews about auto transport that that tends to happen. It would have been nice to get the price that was in the quote or the estimate, but it was fine. In the end, I still felt like it was at a competitive price.

The carrier driver was good. He called me ahead of time, and we worked out a spot for me. I wasn't there to receive the car, so I had to coordinate with him to meet with my mom, and he was really helpful about that. I also talked to him twice while he was on the road to get an idea of his estimated time of arrival. Then, there was a second driver who took the car from Denver to Colorado Springs, and he was helpful as well. All around, everybody at AmeriFreight was easy to work with. I would recommend people to at least to get a quote from AmeriFreight, talk to them 'cause I assumed they'd be competitive for other routes as well.

I went on to some websites that had several different carriers and then put in what I had, and coming from and going where. I got 10 million emails from different carriers and AmeriFreight had the most decent quote at the time.

However, the first carrier that picked it up from the load board, went and made the guy that I was buying the vehicle from go and meet him somewhere but when he got there he said, “Oh, I didn’t realize it was that tall. My only complaint was by the time they got the actual transporter involved, the quote went up for about $200 more. Since the initial selection was based on the quote that they gave, then that kind of skewed the selection process a little bit. But that sort of the process isn’t entirely in broker’s control. They have to give a quote, and it's probably based on stuff. When your car is ready, then they send it out for bid and then they get bids back. But ultimately, I thought the service was very good. The quote that they gave me was okay. The reps were quite responsive to my transport needs. They were able to help me and find something for me in the time that I had. This was not a situation where I had lots of time for the transport and they managed to deliver my vehicle overtime, so that was okay. The transport took about 10 days from beginning to end. The interaction that I had with the delivery people was very good too. I already recommended a friend to AmeriFreight and told him that they provide good service.

We moved for our training purposes for work. When I did the research on trying to find the best deals, AmeriFreight's quote was closest to what the website presented upfront than any other site that I looked at. They called me when to schedule the pick-up and they were in contact throughout the whole transport. The driver called on the day of arrival and it was pretty tricky because they had to drop it off to a friend's house because we weren't in town. The driver asked for her contact information and was able to deal with her from there forward to be able to get the cars picked up. I found out from her that the driver had to walk half a mile back and forth to be able to transport the keys and get the cars into the complex. But the cars were in the exact condition that we left them in. Everything went well. AmeriFreight is an easy and straightforward company to deal with.

I needed to move my car from Utah to Virginia and I looked at a few transport companies. I got a free quote from AmeriFreight and it seemed in line with what I expected, then I signed up to work with them immediately. It was a good phone call that I had with the transport organizer and my interaction with her was fine. She seemed to know what she was talking about and she gave me the information that I needed.

The transport organizer gave me a time frame as to when the carrier driver was supposed to drop off the vehicle, but nothing happened on that day nor the day after. We called him every day but there was no response from him and he did not call us or let us know anything. We finally called the transport organizer back and she was somehow able to get ahold of the driver. He then finally contacted us. The time frame for the transport was supposed to be six days to a week. The car was picked up on Monday and I expected to have it there by Saturday or Sunday. But it was three days after the expected delivery date that it got dropped off. There was no reason given for what had happened. It was frustrating because, even if there was a reason, it would have been nice to have gotten some communication.

My mother passed away and she was living in Idaho and I'm in North Carolina. I was gonna inherit the car, but I had to get it here. AmeriFreight worked really hard to keep the price down for me and yet still give me a quality transporter -- somebody that had good ratings. I made a phone call and got a free quote. I talked to them in person and they were able to dial in a number that was even better.

Not many people go from Idaho to North Carolina. It was also a little difficult because I'm kinda off the beaten path but the rep got me a transporter fairly quickly. It moved swiftly. Within a few days, I had my car and it was in good shape when it arrived. Everything they told me, as far as when they'd be and where to meet, worked out nicely. They were good about picking up and the delivery, both. So, it was a good transport and the company really was trying to be that middleman that made sure all went well. I wouldn't wanna try to learn to transport my car by myself because they can do so much better job. I recommend them very highly. I could tell that they were reasonably priced, very accurate and fair. I also got a great transporter.

My vehicle broke down in the middle of a cross-country drive and I ended up with AmeriFreight. The free quote from them was average and the rep was responsive. She got back to me with everything I had questions on. However, the interactions I had with the carrier driver weren’t the greatest. He wasn’t very responsive and he showed up four hours late after pushing his initial date back around three or four days. He also didn’t get here until almost midnight, so it was a letdown. He was made aware by the broker that my car was not operable and that it did not roll in neutral either, which he knew going into this. However, he claimed that he didn’t know when he spoke to me on the phone. He stopped at his shop in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and he used a forklift that he had to turn around my car on his flatbed so that he could get it off the flatbed when he got here. Surprisingly, there was no damage to my car.

The whole process took around six days in total. The driver picked up the vehicle, then he got stuck somewhere out between Ohio and Pennsylvania. It was longer than I expected, but I didn’t have a rush to get my car back. AmeriFreight was fair. I paid more than the quote because my vehicle was not operable, but I’ve heard much worse stories, so I feel lucky. The whole system and how the whole thing worked with shipping cars is absolutely insane. The brokers post on boards, then the drivers check the boards and place bids. There is this whole world going on behind the scenes that we, as a consumer, have no idea about. I wish we knew about it going into it, so they don’t have to explain it to us because it is confusing.

So, I was back and forth with the transport organizer to find out the schedule. At first, it was the pricing which she explained and then I went to the scheduling. She's stayed on top of the scheduling right through 'til when they picked it up. She gave me the driver's number if I needed to contact him, which I did not. He contacted me and he gave me a call on the day of delivery. The car was transported for 1,600 miles and except for being late due to traffic reasons, it was fine. The whole shipment took a little over a week from beginning to end. I would recommend AmeriFreight and use them again.

But AmeriFreight's rep got on it pretty fast. She knew what she was doing and found somebody in probably about a day or so. She was a no-nonsense person. Then the guy who picked up the van was fantastic to work with.

He came 12 hours ahead of time. We've scheduled for the morning the day after. He had called me and said he had to finish early and would it be okay if he came by and picked it up earlier. He came by right on time. He stayed outside the house. My kids were fascinated to see this truck get on a trailer, and he was super kind with them. It was done very professionally, and very safe. He knew what he was doing, and very into what he was doing. The van was picked up Thursday night and was there Monday morning. They did a nice job.

We moved from Florida to Texas and we needed to move a car that was stored so it would follow us. AmeriFreight had very good reviews online and having moved four or five cars out here, we found their quote to be reasonable and comparable to the current cost. Their quote was also a little higher than what we ended up paying, so the cost came in lower at the end of the day. Richard, the guy who coordinated the car's transport, was fantastic. I had worked with AmeriFreight before, but we had to change the date, so he left my project open. Then, when I called them, he said that he would post out the listing. The process was quick and it was mainly on our part that we needed the transport to wait because we weren't gonna be here to receive the car yet.

Richard had the car shipped out here within two weeks and that was very impressive. Then I had to interact with him again because somehow the tolls started picking up the car's license plate while they were driving it, so I got a random bill and he is handling that for me. I have worked with other transport companies that were non-responsive and took forever to get a car shipped. But AmeriFreight was great and the people there have all been very responsive. I would highly recommend AmeriFreight and I would definitely use them again if I need to move another car, which is very possible.

But I was aware of that before I ever called anyone. I was expecting to pay around 1,500 and the final was pretty close to that. The organizer was very responsive, upfront with everything and clear on all of our discussions. He was also pleasant to deal with. The driver and I agreed on a location to meet, and he had the car off the carrier and ready for me when I arrived. He had to set the schedule in about 12 hours because he needed to get some sleep, and I understood how that worked so that was not a problem. They picked it up around Monday night and delivered it on Sunday morning. If I had to do it again, I’d probably go back to AmeriFreight.

But at that point, I wanted to find a reputable company and I really liked AmeriFreight's good walkthrough of the process. That was important. The quote was good too. Their rep talked about it for a while and really helped me understand why the quote might change, but it ended up staying the same.

The carrier driver was really good, really thorough and pleasant to deal with. He called first and I wasn't available and then he texted me, which was a nice touch because he could've just not said anything and tried again later. He kept me updated throughout the trip. It took six days from pick up to delivery, which was a really good time. We picked the vehicle up from Walmart and he was there ahead of time. When I pulled up to the parking lot, he had already unloaded the car and it was ready. My experience was really nice and it just went really smoothly with the driver.

AmeriFreight's transport organizer was nice and helpful. She gave me the number of the driver. I called him four times but never heard back from him. I had somebody waiting across the country with the car, and the driver called when he was a couple of hours away and the person waiting had waited all day.

I called back the lady who helped me originally and she called the driver again. It took a lot of effort and there was a problem with the first transport person. He finally called but it was too late and the lady was leaving. I tried to get her to stay and call someone in her office and she could not go back. There was someone there, so they hid the key so the driver could get the car. Other than that, the second driver was great. He worked with me. He contacted me and brought the car to me.

The quote was reasonable and the only reason it changed was because we needed a guaranteed pick-up time because we were leaving town so we had to be there when the driver was there to pick up the car. We paid an upcharge to get a specific pick-up time and day. The driver was fabulous and the communication was very good. He texted and let us know where he was, how long it would be and where to meet him. He was exactly where he said he was going to be at that time. We lived in Maryland and my husband accepted a new job that required him to travel. His first assignment is out here in Washington State. We have a fifth wheel travel trailer that we were moving across the country but there was no way I was gonna drive our car myself so, we decided to go ahead and have it shipped. I've never had a vehicle shipped before, so I really didn't know where to start. I was using Google to do a web search, find the top picks, and do the very careful research of each review of the company. I found AmeriFreight.

AmeriFreight had the great good fortune of having my call initially answered by a young lady named Nicole. She spent 15 minutes with me walking me through step-by-step how it's done, how shipping is accomplished, and that they're a broker. The fact that she spent that much time with me just on my initial call, sort of confirmed my inclination to go with AmeriFreight. It was solely based on Nicole's kindness.

What we paid in the end was about the same and there was no variation in the cost. However, the timing was amazing to me. Among the things I had read when I was doing my research is that it could take up to 30 days to have your vehicle go from point A to point B and I was a little leery. But I ended up getting my vehicle picked up on a Friday and delivered to me the following Thursday. I couldn't believe it and I was amazed at how quickly it got here. And Nicole called me every few days throughout the process telling me if my car has been picked up, where it is, and when they expect to get it to me.

We were already out here in Washington when they picked the vehicle up. My neighbor who supervised the process and the gentleman who picked it up was very accommodating. He seemed to really have a focus on doing a good job and making sure my vehicle was safely loaded and on its way. Then, the gentleman who actually delivered it here in Washington called me a couple of different times over the last two days before it arrived and making sure I knew practically minute by minute where he was, when he would be here, and when he would be able to unload the car. The communication, which was the biggest thing to me, ended up being just superb. Also, the vehicle was perfect when it arrived and was exactly as I left it. She needed a bath, but that's understandable. It was a 3,000 mile-trip.

AmeriFreight is the absolute best in terms of customer service. They were very diligent with their communication and they get how important this is to me. It was a little Honda CRV that I, one person, own and they probably ship thousands of vehicles a year, I would imagine, but they made me feel as if my vehicle was the only one they were shipping. That meant a lot to me. To folks who might be in the same situation as I was, there's a company out there that literally will take your concerns into heart and treat you as well as they treated me.

He told me that they start low on their quote, and then if someone picked it up, it might go up and I would have to add more money. So, I knew the cost was gonna be more than what he quoted me, but he was very upfront with that.

I have a big window to move my car so he said he would put it out at the lowest amount, and if their carriers had a last-minute cancellation, they might pick it up. He said he was gonna give it until that Thursday and if no one picked it up, we would increase the price. And then when someone picked it up, he called me right away. The driver was really nice too and he used texts which I liked. He let me know when he was on his way and also asked me questions. The family chose to hire AmeriFreight and I'm the executor of the estate, so I had to pay for their service. The rep I worked with did well. But in the beginning, they didn't call us with a pick-up time and they just said it was a particular day. It was hard to work things around your life when you don't know what time they were gonna be there. I was calling the night before and the morning of the pickup day but it was all kinda last minute.

The vehicle also ended up having to be towed to a different location to get picked up as they couldn't make it up to the house. It would have been better if we had at least a ballpark time but we didn't even have a window at all. Then, if they were able to contact that person with the truck, they could have looked at the maps, asked a couple of questions, and seen if it was possible to pick up at the location or not. That way, we could have had the vehicle towed and ready to a location they wanted at the time also.

Aside from that, there was a little issue during delivery because the truck couldn't make it down a tree that had some branches that were too low. So, they had to do some kind of different delivery at the end as well. All in all, once the person that was gonna delivery the vehicle was decided upon, a little more contact would have been helpful just to get the time. But that was our only frustration and everything else went really well.

Ultimately, they were able to get the shipment done. It was signed and sealed pretty quickly once we told them to go ahead. Waited 2.5 weeks for response then asked for more than double: Do not trust this company. I was initially quoted a variable rate of $625. I understood that this could change depending on which carrier decided to take on the job but I received a phone call saying that my price was now $1350. That's an increase of over double. I even called the manager to discuss this and after some runaround he just said "you have to pay attention to the quote" because I wanted the pickup to be between a 48 hour period of my requested date. He also told me that I'll run into these rate swings with any company, which is absolutely false because I just booked another carrier for a set price with an exact date of pickup. Absolute horrible customer service and flat out liars. Look elsewhere or else you'll be paying more than double what you initially thought you were going to pay.

I’m in the Navy and I had a friend who used AmeriFreight. He was stationed on the East Coast and when he came out here to California, he suggested that I go with AmeriFreight, and I took his word for it. My interactions with their transport organizer were short, sweet and to the point, and I was happy with that. The carrier driver got here within the given time frame, which was about nine days. Being that it was an all the way across the country trip, that was pretty impressive. The driver had the car ready for me, so everything went smoothly. AmeriFreight's customer service is really great.

I was relocating from one coast to the other, so I needed someone to transport my car. I had moved across country the other way at one point about five years ago. I used another service then but I found that they were no longer in business. So, I started looking around and then called and made the arrangement with AmeriFreight. The quote was about $1,600 which was standard so, I wasn’t too surprised. The woman who I worked with was really helpful. I was worried because I wasn’t sure I was gonna get a driver in time since they only post at a certain time. They do everything electronically and don’t post way far ahead because then they wouldn't get people.

I called another company a couple of days before it all worked out and they explained to me that the whole system has changed in the last six months because since things are electronic now, there's a number of drivers who wouldn't want to get involved 'cause they don’t have the technology. So, there are fewer drivers competing. Once I found that out, it made me feel a little bit better and eventually, things worked out with AmeriFreight.

Then, the carrier driver had to arrange where I was gonna meet him and where he was gonna drop off. He was very good and conscientious. He kept me aware of what was gonna happen. It took about a week from when the car was picked up to when I received it, which was consistent to what I expected. And the most important thing was that my car arrived safely.

I donated a vehicle to a family member and I did an internet search of transport companies and read some of the reviews. When I spoke to the rep of AmeriFreight he was very polite and he went over everything I needed in a fast manner. He was very thorough and helpful. He kept in contact with me and walked me through everything really well. Everything happened at the right time for the right price so I went with them. The quote that I was given was reasonable due to where I needed to go and how fast it was.

The driver let me know approximately when he would be in and took care of the car. My father was the one who received the car and the driver let him know who he was and when he would be getting there roundabout. He got there when he said he would the next day. Everything was a breeze and I've already referred AmeriFreight to my sister and her friends.

I have used AmeriFreight on several occasions. I've transported through them a couple more vehicles that I purchased. This time I contacted them again and the free quote I was given was decent and fair. The transport organizer who worked with me was professional and very admirable. He pointed out some things he noticed about the condition of the car before he picked it up. That was good information and he recorded it on his sheet. We and AmeriFreight had a problem though with the initial pick-up, and that was only because the dealership would not release the vehicle. But we got all that taken care of and then it took five days from the pickup of the vehicle to its drop off in North Carolina.

I had questions when the vehicle was delivered, however, and they were mostly on the dealership. I got in touch with them on several occasions but they never really called me back. There was a little scratch on the mirror, a little dent in the chrome, some broken chrome in the front of the fender and a little spot that was in the front that had to do with the body. Those things are somewhat minor but they're major to me and they should be addressed. Nevertheless, we had a good experience with AmeriFreight.

Then I had decided to do business with AmeriFreight and so glad I did. Everything went smoothly. Jerrell ** was very nice, helpful and informative, I couldn’t be happier, great first experienced. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. Thanks Jerrell!!!

My wife bought a new Subaru SUV and we wanted to send her 15-year old SUV to our son who lives in Atlanta. AmeriFreight was ranked highly and had the best overall reviews. They also gave me the best price. In fact, the quote was on the low side and we anticipated that the trucker would say he would need 100 or 150 bucks more. But as it turned out, there was a guy who was delivering something about two miles from where I live and he almost drives right past my son’s house on the way home. So he accepted the low price because it was such an easy transport for him. It was a stroke of luck actually.

AmeriFreight was excellent in every respect. The broker I dealt with helped me with every particular and the trucker himself was a great guy too. The transport was also as smooth as it could be. I had completed the paperwork online at about 3 o’clock then 3 o’clock the next day, the driver was here. I had also been given a phone call a couple of hours earlier. He loaded the vehicle up around 4:00 PM and at 3:00 PM the next day, the truck was in my son’s driveway. It was the first time I shipped a vehicle and it could not have been better. I was very happy with the whole experience. There may be other good companies out there but AmeriFreight is certainly one of them. They were outstanding.

He checked up with me on every status and kept me updated on the movement. The delivery was good. The deliverer was very courteous and got the car off the truck in about 20 minutes. It was a very nice experience. It worked out very well.

My son was going to school in Texas and he was living on campus at first. Then, a situation came about and we had to move him from off campus, so he needs a transportation from where he was staying to go to school. When I kinda averaged it out between driving the car out there and shipping it, I would be paying equivalent or little bit more for the convenience of me not stressed in driving across half the country for about 1,800 miles. I had to go through references and since I worked for the Port of Oakland, I went to one of our contacts here and asked who would he refer. He gave me three options and AmeriFreight was one of them. I took advantage of their free quote option and what I got was very affordable. But it cost a couple of hundred dollars more in the end because what was consistent from the people I spoke to was they post the lowest price, then the drivers go on their board.

Things also went a little slow with the transport organizer at first but because I was anxious to get the car out. One time, he arranged something then the driver had to get back to us and decline because one of his pick-ups had two cars, but they only stated they had one. Then someone called back the next day and said they could do it. Things went quickly after that.

The driver, Daniel, was great and absolutely wonderful. I have a block number, so he didn't answer my call initially. And when I called back, he explained that generally, he doesn't answer that, but he told me call anytime. And he knew I was calling when I did call a couple of times. I had my brother with me when I met him because I was skeptical over the whole thing. But when I first met him, he was totally business-like. He told us to take as many as pictures as we want and to feel free to ask questions. And any questions we had, he answered.

He also gave me the date he planned on being there and he was there a day later than he thought, but he explained that he does pick up and drop off on the way also. Daniel was more than willing to meet my son, because my son is on a baseball scholarship, so his classes, work out, and practices were all so tight. There was a small window for him to pull away but Daniel said that there would be no problem. He said that if he couldn't get his truck there, they'd make arrangement, so he was very accommodating. He picked up the car on a Friday and he wanted to get there on a Tuesday, then he said it'd be on Wednesday. Then on Thursday afternoon, he finally got there. All of them from AmeriFreight were great from the beginning, so I was very grateful.

I purchased a natural gas vehicle so it gets me in the HOV lane in California. I bought it in Oklahoma so I needed a transport company and unbeknownst to me, there was a whole industry of brokers. When they told me the price to ship it, I didn't know that there was a broker’s fee on top of that. So, I went with what was the lowest price, not including the broker's fee and AmeriFreight had one of the lower ones. A lot of the brokers were really pushy. In fact, I'm still getting emails and phone calls. Danielle answered all my questions and responded right away or got back to me in time whenever I had a question. So I appreciated the service that I received.

The rep explained to me what the process was gonna be. Both she and the driver were professional. I called the driver and told him I would meet him somewhere as opposed to dropping the vehicle off in my neighborhood. If he had a large truck, it wouldn’t be accessible to him. He was cool and appreciative about it. I met him, took my car off right away and gave him the cash. I referred AmeriFreight to a friend who also bought a vehicle and he was quite happy with the service. I told him to reach out to them and that I didn’t feel I got scammed. Transporting the vehicle was a first experience for me and I'm glad I did it. It’s a life lesson that you never forget and it was positive.

I bought a vehicle at Manheim Auctions in Ohio. The auction offered their shipping but I wanted something a little different than comparison price and wanted to get a second opinion. I dug AmeriFreight up on the internet and their ratings were favorable. Their price was 50 bucks cheaper. They gave me a general idea of the quote and it was easy understanding how they quote. They explained it well. It went up a little bit from there because the vehicle I had was a little bit bigger than normal. But they did pretty well and it was not an issue.

The carrier driver was really good. There were some damages on the vehicle and the auction said to call the driver. The driver had nice photos of when he picked it up and it was still on the lot, not on his truck. It had the dent on his pictures which meant it happened at the auction place. We mailed the pictures to them and the auction sent me a check for $1500. The driver took really good pictures of the vehicle all around and the vehicle got here fast. It was a good experience and I will use AmeriFreight again.

My daughter does research in different areas of the country so we needed to get her a vehicle out there so she could use it for six months. We used AmeriFreight twice and they did a great job. I’ve used the same woman twice. Her name is Lecia, and she’s been wonderful. Now, I just call her directly when I need to do a transport. During one of the original pick ups, I was present and I met the trucker. We had a cup of coffee and he was a great guy. Most recently, everything was fine. My daughter thought the gentleman was very helpful at both ends.

AmeriFreight was very professional, and they took care of my need as far as getting the car shipped. They assigned me a good carrier and they delivered the car the next day. The quote was very close to the price that I paid in the end, and I was happy with it. The organizer was very professional, answered all my questions, and gave the information I needed, so I was happy with her. I met the driver when he arrived and talked to him a few minutes. He told me he would have the car delivered within a day or two, and he delivered it the very next day. There were no issues with it, and my daughter and her family on the other end were happy with him too. I would use AmeriFreight again if had to move a car again, knowing how well they work. I would also recommend them to somebody else.

We're military and we were moving. I had heard some horror stories about shipping cars, so I wanna make sure that I find one with a good rating. I looked up on Better Business Bureau and AmeriFreight was the first one that popped up. The communication with them was good for the most part. The pick-up of the vehicle in Michigan also went fine. I wasn't given a time, though, because the driver couldn’t tell me when he is coming to pick up the car. He said that I just needed to be available all day, so I had to take a day off from work. Then, they dropped my car off in Washington a few days too early because they hadn’t told the carrier that I wasn’t going to be at home that early. When I got in touch with AmeriFreight about that, they solved it. They put it with a different carrier for a while and didn’t charge me any extra. But, I paid $500 more than the quote I was given initially.

Their customer service was really good with regards to the communication and explaining what exactly the process was going to be. Everything they said as far as the timeline was accurate and it worked out well. The carrier driver was a really friendly guy and my car came in an excellent condition. I had a good experience with AmeriFreight. They are a good company to work with.
