In early October, 2020, I had to ship a vehicle from NY to Atlanta. As a first time shipper, I had my Investigations dept within the City of NY do backgrounds checks on several transportation companies. I decided to go w/ AmeriFreight. The Freight Agent Danielle ** was magnificent, arranged for vehicle to be shipped the following day. The level of Customer Service was absolutely fabulous. The Truck Driver/Carrier was a professional and the vehicle was delivered two days later. Don't waste your time researching these fly-by-night Transportation companies go with AmeriFreight.

Amerifreight quoted me less than $1,100 to ship my car from California to Massachusetts. After a week of trying to find a company that would take the job, they came back with a quote of around $1,700 including insurance. This ends up putting them at a higher rate than virtually every other reputable quote I received. Part of the reason for this seems to be that they take a larger cut than most brokers.
I did a fair bit of research into different brokers and was impressed at AmeriFreight's ratings online. Then I found out in the contract for listing the car that every customer is required to submit a review. This explains their high marks as most businesses have lower ratings than actual customer perception due to the fact that happy customers are less likely to review than unhappy ones. As such, Amerifreight's stellar reviews are likely over-inflated compared to competitors that do not require all customers to rate them.

I'm shipping a vehicle this summer & doing research now so I don't get taken advantage of. This was the first broker I contacted after reading the article: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/auto/cost-to-ship-a-car.html. I gave the rep all req'd info & she was more or less vague the entire time. She was also quite condescending when I told her that I'd be shipping this summer. She proceeded telling me more than once that I was picking one of the most expensive times of the year to ship, college students are moving, schools are getting out, & that's what I can remember off the top of my head! I felt like I had gone to the principal's office.
Anyway, long story long, I called a second broker who refused to quote me because he said it was too far out and surprise, surprise, this lady has already sent me a quote for $925. I learned *so much* after talking to her competitor that I wanted to warn other people about AmeriFreight's practices. Maybe this is a one-off, maybe not. Do your homework, you've been warned.

AmeriFreight set me up with a carrier. Long story short, Carrier damaged multiple aspects to my vehicle internally and won't take responsibility. Bottom line is I will be suing them. As for Amerifreight, knowing this occurred and that this carrier has a history of this behavior, Amerifreight continues to use them showing that they could care less about customers.

In September 2019, several sales representatives worked behind the scenes to manipulate a higher rate from us so that they can get a better commission. The manager Jorge reluctantly got involved after numerous calls and emails, because we did not get any service and communications from any of the sales rep on shipping after they took our money. I had to be in direct communication with the shipper and we both wanted to negotiate a reduced rate for an earlier departure but we couldn't do anything because AmeriFreight did not response to either of us to finalize my insurance packet or modify the total cost. It was also confusing because I couldn't tell if I was booked with two shippers because two shipping companies called me about AmeriFreight, and we never engaged any other shipping bookers.
Lecia ** started a contract but was not working every time I called and asked for her and she did not return calls. Sam was her sub when she was on leave, and she used high pressure tactics such as cancelling our contract interest with less than 24 hrs notice when we did not respond to a shipping offer on Labor Day, a holiday. Her offer price was high and we had to think about it. So when we learned she cancelled us, we signed up again to request shipping with them. That was a mistake. We should have trusted our instincts when we experienced high pressure and unethical business tactics.
Kathryn ** was the next sale rep who took our new contract interest. She gave us a better rate and we immediately accepted. I called to make payment but there was confusion with another sales rep because Kathryn could not be reached. The next day Sam/Lecia called to asked if we still wanted to ship. I said yes but am working with Kathryn since they cancelled my initial contract. She told me that she was going to talk to Kathryn and quickly got me off the phone. Kathryn told us that we can only ship at the higher initial rate and not the lower that she found for us. We weren't in a hurry for the vehicle and there was no reason for the high rate and pressure.
Despite the frustration, we finalized the shipping with them just to be done and to get our vehicle booked. This was the worst vehicle shipping experience. I would never use AmeriFreight again or recommend them to anyone. After they took our money, we couldn't get service. We were sent directly to voicemail and didn't get any call backs from Kathryn, Lecia, or Sam. Manager Jorge didn't respond to initial emails; he only responded when there was a sale rep with enough compassion to go to him on our behalf because our shipping date was upon us and we said that we couldn't tell if AmeriFreight double booked us because we didn't know what the competing sales reps booked.
Certainly not everyone at AmeriFreight has self-serving business practices because I was able to find two people who explained what should have happened and was empathetic. However, there is no compensation to the customer for their poor coordination and practices. I never heard if the manager spoke with the sales rep to correct these inappropriate practices. There are numerous emails and phone calls that documents and verifies these events.

I recently moved from California to Washington and needed my car to be shipped within a very limited window of time. Harry ** from AmeriFreight provided a quote immediately following my inquiry. He also consistently called me with specific details for the car shipping process as we went along and was excellent in answering any questions. He assured me that it’s typical to get an available driver on the first date of pick up (especially going up the 5 North from California to Washington), which is exactly what happened! He was accommodating of all my needs, e.g. budget, having another person at pickup, and specific dates/times for pickup and delivery. Thank you so much for getting my car to Seattle so quickly and within my budget of under $1000!!

Samantha made this process the easiest part of our move. I definitely recommend using them for your transport needs.

I had just finished medical school, and I was moving from Miami to two hours south of Chicago. I had a wedding to go to, so I didn't wanna drive my car to California and then to Illinois. So then, I figured I'll just ship my car to Illinois. It seemed to be a better option at the time, and everything worked out. I was looking online, and then I spoke to a bunch of different people from different companies. AmeriFreight gave me a very good rate compared to the other companies. Also, the customer service rep was friendly and personable. I felt like I wasn't just business. The driver came a little early, and he was friendly too. He was cool and we looked over the car together and I have no complaints. I got my vehicle, and everything went well. I'd definitely recommend AmeriFreight.

We were moving and AmeriFreight made it easy to ship my car. They explained the quote and the different options they had really well. The quote was competitive too. The people there were also always good. They knew what they were talking about and were quick and helpful. The transport took about five days and when my car arrived, it was in good condition, same as when it left. I also had the driver's phone number. He had reached out to me and in the hour that I had a question, I called him too.

We were moving across the country and the AmeriFreight transport organizer I was speaking with was really good at setting us up with the transport. He filled us in in just about everything. He gave us updates and he called them afterwards, too, just to make sure everything went smoothly. The transport took five days, and my girlfriend who dealt with the carrier driver said that their interaction went okay overall. I also took advantage of their online free quote -- the final price, however, was a little bit more than the actual quote given.

The quote given by AmeriFreight was a good price, but it was significantly higher towards the end. It was like 800 to 1000 bucks more -- they can be more honest on their quotes. Nevertheless, the driver was professional and everything was good. It took five or six hours from pick-up to delivery, which was good.

We looked into like three or four transport companies. But once I talked to Harry, we went with AmeriFreight. He was great and super helpful. He was on top of things and let us know what was happening. I would highly recommend him to anybody. Also, moving is fairly expensive which is never great. But AmeriFreight's rate was competitive with other people and I got what I paid for. It was good. From pick up to drop off, it took less than a week. It was pretty fast and our car was great when it arrived. We had a good experience and if I would have to move my car, I would use AmeriFreight again.

Using AmeriFreight was good. I’m in the car business, and we have used them twice. The quote given was adequate and their pricing was competitive. The transport organizer and the drivers were good. The pick up on the first one to go to California was at our other dealership location, and I was not there. But the fellows told me it went very smoothly. And then the other one that was being delivered from California back to here was at the dealership where I am, and I had a chance to speak with the driver. All of that went well. AmeriFreight was what they said it would be. In one case, the vehicles arrived before we thought it was going to be here, and there were no damage or any complications. So, as long as it works that way, we probably will continue to use them. It looks like we are getting ready to use them a third time in the next week or so.

There was a come-on price that was half of what it turned out to be. That was a frustrating thing for me. It was a price that was totally unrealistic and not even close to what the actual cost was. But the people at AmeriFreight were helpful on the phone and although there was really no communication until the driver was here, more or less, it was fine. The experience was overall positive. The transport was even faster than I thought it would be.

AmeriFreight was the best priced among everybody else that I looked at. They also had the best customer service. They stayed steady on their price and stayed consistent on the driver, the pick-up and everything. After all the hassle of trying to look for a car transport company from North California to Washington State, they just made the whole process very easy to deal with. I also go on ConsumerAffairs and look at ratings for everything. One of my influences for using AmeriFreight was one of the reviews that AmeriFreight was used for.
Customer service stayed very much in contact with us. In fact, the driver was supposed to call us a day or two prior and the agent named Emily helped out. She called and verified a couple of different times because we were moving across the country. With us moving, there was a lot going on and we were trying to finalize everything. Everything went fine with the delivery as well. We had set it up in a public area like a Safeway and it was dropped off in that area.
AmeriFreight was very good and everything went well. The only problem that I had was there were scratches on the vehicle. But I didn’t have time to file a claim for it because I shipped the car to my daughter and my daughter noticed the scratches a couple of days after the time period for filing a claim. I’m just gonna end up getting that repaired. Other than that, I would recommend AmeriFreight.

AmeriFreight had a fair rate and rating online. Also, the quote I got was as communicated. It was included in the notes that the value could change. With the added stuff that I negotiated in, the quote turned out to be where I thought it should be. The rep was great. AmeriFreight took care of the communication with the driver. They were relaying information from the driver. And back and forth, if I have any questions, they had the answers. On the whole, it took three days from pick up to delivery.

We were relocating for work from Philly area to Miami and AmeriFreight's price was good and the reviews that I had seen online definitely made it seem like it was a reliable company. I got a quote online and then I had it verified through an agent as well over the phone. There were a lot of good follow-ups. Definitely they were good at communicating and not only getting me a good deal but also really making sure that I knew when the car was coming to pick me up. The courier driver also understood that I needed my car at a certain time. It was just a one-day later than when I had wanted it to arrive. But, otherwise, he was very good at giving me updates. Plus the vehicle arrived in the same condition. I would recommend AmeriFreight to a friend.

My son was moving back to San Diego so I needed to ship his car out there. I used AmeriFreight before and I was thrilled with them, so I hired them again. The quote they gave me was reasonable. I got quotes from a few different companies and they were all pretty similar. The AmeriFreight rep I dealt with was also fantastic and I was very comfortable working with him. His name was Harry and he explained everything to me. The driver was great, too. He couldn’t come to our house because we live in a residential area and he couldn’t bring his truck there, so he gave us a meeting place that was a quarter of a mile from our house, and it was perfect. It took two weeks from when I booked the transport to the time that the car arrived in California and its condition was exactly how it was when it left. Shipping with AmeriFreight was the easiest experience for me. I was very stressed about doing it and they made it very simple.

I was moving and needed to have my car shipped. I just graduated from Case Western in Ohio, and I was moving back home to Seattle. I did some research online and I got AmeriFreight. The transport organizer, Erica, was great. I thought I was giving her a difficult time because I thought that she was gonna call me when she found a truck. But then, she thought that I was gonna check my email. So, I didn't respond for a whole week. And then, when I checked my email, I found that she's been Gmailing me. I was like, "Oh, crap." So, it kinda gave her like a last-minute task because my flight was in five days. And then, she found one. It was great. It all worked out. I was super thankful.
The driver quoted me a date and they didn't call and didn't do anything. So, the trucking company is what I had a problem with. On the quoted date, I had to call in and they were like, "Oh, your car has been here for two weeks already. We haven't gotten to you. If you want, we can try and deliver it to you next day." And so, the next day came, they called me and were like, "Oh. I don't who was talking to you about that. But your thing was scheduled for another week." I went to pick up my car because I need it. Also, all the windows were open and the car was in the junkyard. And I did put a granola bar in there, which I didn't realize, and then, mice came inside, so I had to clean some of my interior stuff.
I would work with AmeriFreight again, but that trucking company clearly went past the date that they quoted me on, and it was gonna be an additional week and a half late, and my inside was a mess. I made sure I told the trucker, "Hey, even if it gets super hot, I don't think you should open my window." And he didn't communicate with them and so, the windows all open and the car sitting in the junkyard, animals went into my stuff. There were some animal feces in there too. It was super dirty. There were crumbs everywhere and it was not a pretty sight. But my car was fine. I wouldn't recommend the trucking company, but I'd recommend AmeriFreight.

We were talking with five companies for the transport of our car due to military relocation but they all kept dropping out one by one because El Paso is not a highly visited area. We had dealt with AmeriFreight and we ran out of time. They were the only ones that had a truck in the area at that point. We had a good rep but he was hard to reach a few times. My fiancee dealt with him and gave him my number to call to arrange for the pickup of the truck because I was in possession of it and she was elsewhere. The rep acknowledged that email.
But when a truck was in the area for an initial quote, numerous attempted calls were made to my fiancee's phone number instead of mine. We ended up not getting that truck and that caused the rate to go up significantly from what was initially quoted. That was definitely a ball dropped. I had a set date on when I had to start driving away from El Paso and we pretty much had to get a truck to drive out of its way to come to pick up my fiancee's truck.
The driver who picked up the vehicle was professional. We went through a pretty thorough walkthrough of the vehicle to ensure that any damage that was already on the vehicle was marked down on the inspection sheet. When the car was delivered there were a few more very light scratches but nothing major. It's just that you could tell that something had been rubbing on the vehicle during transport. Once my fiancee was in possession of the vehicle, she dealt with the backend and brought up the issues with them. Overall, the transport portion was easy, but the communication was lacking.

I moved my vehicle from Washington, D.C. to Oklahoma City and AmeriFreight said initially that they could do it cheaper than anyone else. It didn’t turn out to be that way necessarily. Somebody reached out to me and gave me a low quote. And then there was a bit of confusion which she refused to acknowledge this and I was really irritated. So, finally, I did decide to go ahead and continue on with AmeriFreight even though it was about $200 more than what they initially said. Someone told me to be aware that AmeriFreight frequently lowballs it and then you end up paying more. That happened and I was totally disappointed in that.
And whoever it was that helped me asked me how I wanted to pay, and I said, “Well, I’ll go ahead and pay whatever I need to pay initially.” So, I gave her my credit card and she paid $200. And then she said it would be cash on delivery. I said, “What is your definition of cash on delivery? Can I use my credit card?” She said, “Yes, you can use credit card on delivery.” I asked her two times, because typically cash on delivery means green cash and I wanted to be clear because I was having someone else pick it up in another city. I would not be there. And she said, “No, a credit card will be fine.” She told me that twice.
And then she said, “Let me put you on a recorded line.” And she just goes, “Dadadada, cash on delivery.” So they will not find, probably on their recorded line, that she acknowledged to me two times that a credit card would work. Sure enough the vehicle arrived on Sunday at 2 PM in the afternoon, and the guy said, “I can’t turn over your car to this individual unless he gives me cash.” So, it’s Sunday. Banks aren’t open on Sunday, ATM limits are $500 around town. So I was really annoyed.
I scrambled around. I had to call my neighbors and everybody, and bum money to come up with $600 or whatever it was, because they failed to adequately prepare me for what was expected. Had I known clearly that, no, it was green cash, I would have made arrangements. And then the same rep kept calling me back, wanting to know how it was. I said, “Not good.” I explained to her the cash on delivery and then she goes, “Well, cash on delivery is cash on delivery. That means you gotta pay him cash.” And I said, “Duh! Don’t you remember we had this conversation?” She would never acknowledge it. I’m not happy. They misled me on two occasions. But I had no problem with the freight delivery company, other than that little snafu.

I called them and they gave me a free quote, which was pretty close. They were less than $100 off. The interaction with the guy who owned the company went well. The driver didn’t know very good English but we were able to figure out where to meet up. There was a little bit of confusion in the beginning, but it worked out fine. I wasn’t sure when my car was coming and it took a little while to plan it, but that was fine. I had the car shipped a month ago and when it arrived, there was no damage on the car. It was a little dirty because it was driven from Florida so, it happens.

There was not that much that the rep needed to tell me however, the quote was a couple of hundred dollars off. They get your business by quoting you less and then you end up paying more. Nevertheless, I had a fantastic interaction with the driver. I didn’t expect the vehicle to have any damage and there was none.

AmeriFreight's rating was very high when I saw them. I went with them for my move from Washington to Florida and had a very good experience with their reps. I got excellent communication and they were very upfront with what the cost and timeframe would be. The quote I got was very, very accurate for the particular days that I received a quote for, but then we needed to change the date to the week following, and the prices went up for that particular week. Their driver called and let us know that he asks permission if he can unload the vehicle offsite, and then just drive the vehicle in because he was afraid that the car carrier wouldn't fit through our subdivision. He arrived on time and other than love bugs all over the vehicle, it arrived in perfect condition. I'd definitely use this company's service again. They also had the best pricing. There was not a lot of communication with them but at the same time, when I received communication, it was fairly timely and it worked out pretty well for me. The driver was responsive and he gave enough time for me to prepare for the arrival of my car because I live in a new neighborhood. He had a little bit of trouble finding my place but that was not his fault. My car was great when I received it. The total Transport took five days from the time that the car was picked up from the dealership. The overall process, from the time I sent my quotes to once I received my car, took two weeks. AmeriFreight is a good service. They seemed trustworthy and were very dependable. I would recommend them.

I was moving across country and I needed to ship one of my vehicles. I had Googled reviews and AmeriFreight had pretty good reviews. It was only a few days before it was supposed to ship, and I had called the person that was assigned to my shipping. She answered my questions but there was that lack of communication where I didn't know when I was gonna be contacted, what was going on, or were they actually going to ship my car.
So there should be better communication on what to expect next. Just like the driver showed up at the house for delivery, and my son was gonna deliver it and I sent him cash. They said part of it was credit card, part of it was cash. And that's fine. I had transferred my son the money. But there was no communication on when the driver was gonna show up. He just showed up. I had no idea when he was gonna show up.
The carrier driver was nice, but he was late. But the pick up was real quick. He pulled up and loaded the car, and off he went. I also expected the transport to be longer but it was only a couple days. The vehicle was really dirty when it arrived to its destination. But that was fine. It wasn't damaged and that was all I was really worried about. Overall, the experience was good. The end result was it was shipped without any damage at a reasonable cost.

The actual delivery was my least favorable part of the experience only because the driver got our vehicle confused with a different vehicle that he had on his truck. He was telling us that he was going to be here on a certain day, but he wasn't because he contacted us instead of the original people 'cause he had two of the same vehicles. That's what he said. So, we were waiting a couple of days wondering where he was whenever he said he was gonna be here, but he wasn't. It was only because he had called us in the first place. We got several quotes from them and compared them with some other companies and felt the most comfortable going with AmeriFreight. The quote was the fair market price and we had no complaints. The service as well as the open communication helped us make the decision.
Compared to other companies we contacted, the woman I dealt with was kind, explained every step of the process as well as the logic behind it, and helped me find the best deal that works for me. The driver was pleasant, had the car unloaded by the time I got there and requested the amount that was agreed upon. It was a short but fair interaction. But I didn’t care because I didn’t need the car when I got there. I didn’t want it to come early. They contacted me. Everything was perfect.
It was a great experience. The only negative part was the price wasn’t what I was quoted on the internet. They asked if I had more leeway and I said I had five to seven days. I gave it that five to seven days, but the price still seemed a little high. I didn’t really like getting an internet quote then having to judge between top quality ones and one that was a little less, and then finding out that they were just as much or more than the other one. I was moving from one state to another. I shipped my vehicle from Florida to Arizona and everything went good with the transport organizer. But we had a little snafu where we had an original trucker who was supposed to come pick up my truck but he never called.
As soon as we got the actual driver, we reached out and wanted to talk to him and make sure that everything was good to go. But conversations went south because he never returned our call. We just figured out what was going on and we called AmeriFreight back to figure out which way we were gonna go. But it was getting to the point where they were trying to ask if we could leave our car with our neighbor. I didn't know my neighbor. Why would I wanna do that? I’m sure that AmeriFreight was just trying to work options out but none of the options was working for me or my wife.
I guess AmeriFreight was trying to call the driver too, and they did everything they could but it was getting down to hours and we were actually getting ready to depart. Then AmeriFreight came back and said the driver's truck broke. But the great thing would’ve been if the driver had called us back and let us know what was going on so we could definitely know what the hell was happening. At the time, it was just frustration between my wife, myself and with AmeriFreight.
At the end of the day, it worked out. AmeriFreight was pulling tricks out of their hat so we were able to get somebody who could take our truck from Florida to Arizona. But up to the minute of, it was really stressful on us because we were trying to figure this thing out. Other than that, the move went great. They picked the truck up on a Tuesday and I got it on Friday. We were already driving cross-country so we were already here in Arizona when the truck showed up. It was three days from the time I gave them the truck and when it arrived, everything was good to go with the vehicle.

I was relocating on the job and to ship my vehicle, I chose AmeriFreight. I decided based on the reviews and when I talked to a customer care agent, the response was good. They were knowledgeable and they explained the process clearly. The quote was also good and very competitive. I got the carrier in a couple of days and then, my shipment was in the next week. So the total was one week and the driver was courteous and respectful. They went through the vehicle, identified all the scratches and let me know when it was going to be delivered. It was all good. The overall process was easy and I've recommended AmeriFreight to some of my friends.

They kept me informed of the progress of where the driver was and how we could make arrangements to meet up. The driver was also very helpful and organized. AmeriFreight had good pricing and it seemed reputable. I shipped my car from New Jersey to California and it was a good and pretty seamless process. I would do it again if I needed to. The quote that I was given was what I paid and it seemed fair or comparable to others. So I was happy with it. They let me know that the car would be picked up a day early and they asked if that was okay. They sent me text messages and when I reached out to see what the status was, they responded quickly. The car was also delivered a day early so that was good. And the car seemed fine. There weren’t any marks that I had noticed.

I got there a little late because the bank wasn’t ready to take out all the cash. So they waited a little bit longer but they were really patient with it. So they were very good. Although the driver wasn’t able to come to the base and drop the truck off from the base, he made it very easy for me to meet him to get my vehicle.

I needed to ship a car from Ohio to California and AmeriFreight had good customer service and a reasonable price quote. When I called them, they gave me a quote and they said they were gonna reach out to drivers and see what kind of interest they got. About a day later, they called me back and said they had found somebody. They put a bid in for like $50 over what the quote was and I accepted it. The driver was also courteous, efficient and very fast. As a whole, my experience with AmeriFreight was fast, efficient and easy.

I was looking for more than a week and a half for a company to ship my car. I made my own pros and cons list. And when I saw AmeriFreight, it seemed that they were genuine. I spoke to one of their representatives and he was pretty nice. At first, I was a bit upset because my call won't go through to that representative. And the moment it got through I was a bit aggressive, and I apologized for that. But at that moment, I had already shortlisted AmeriFreight, and I wasn't getting any information about it. Two days later, I couldn't even go back and research. I didn't have the time, so I kept calling them. And one day, I got a call back and the gentleman explained how apologetic he was. I told him my situation, and he was like, "Let's think about what we can do right now." He told me that he can guarantee whatever was promised and in a realistic way. At that moment, he made sense. He talked practically and rational.
I was in a really urgent situation kind of thing because I had my flight within three days. I couldn't delay it more. When I was in a moment of panic, I most of the time tend to be a little bit impolite. And I really apologized for that. The AmeriFreight rep was considerate about it and he helped me out. He taught me how to think straight. The entire sign-up process was within 15 minutes. He told me that within an hour, he would contact me if anybody has listed at anything. And within an hour, he got me three contacts. When we were shortlisting and during the call itself, he got some seven more. He told me that what would be the best case scenario for me. And it was really the best because it worked out.
The car came here on Wednesday night and I picked it up on Thursday. I did a good choice by choosing AmeriFreight. My experience with them has been very competitive as compared to other services. They excel in their quality of customer service and delivery on time. But the contact center needs to update its system because I tried calling, and it wouldn't just go through. I checked twice whether it was my network problem and it wasn't. But the representative provided, without a question, a satisfactory service.

I was giving my vehicle to a family member and their customer service and price was what made me choose them. At the end of everything, I had a $10 off from the original quote that I got. The transport organizer gave me constant reports on when he was going to pick up the car and when he arrived there, the same for drop-off. I’m in the military and PCS so I needed to ship my vehicle from San Diego to Miami. I googled transport companies and found AmeriFreight. The quote I requested came close to the final transaction total. The carrier on the day of the delivery said that something was wrong with the truck so I ended up staying in Miami for more than one day and having to get a hotel. It was kinda inconvenient as well ‘cause I was alone and I’m traveling too so I had to report on orders. The next day he came and said that he was still having problems with the truck. He was trying to get me to meet him in a more northern location but I live in Key West so I didn’t wanna go more north to Miami ‘cause I was having to drive more and that was the point of me paying a certain price so that way I can have it delivered.
Once I finally agreed upon location with him, he was saying that he has other customers and that he can’t go out of his way because he was given a day. Then, he kinda went to lengths. I know they have 48 hours upon the day they give to deliver but I felt like he was pushing it a little bit and then the fact that I was being rushed 'cause they threatened me at the time that they would leave my car. They coulda given me a little bit more time. I was also trying to take out money from the bank and I was having some issue. If the car had been delivered on time, I woulda had that exact amount. It was just weird.
The transport organizer let me know that this was a good carrier and that it had 100% ratings. I’ve had other carriers giving me a little bit more grace ‘cause I am a young woman traveling alone so it was kinda hard for me. If I pay somebody $1,000 to deliver a car, I expect a good service. He was unprofessional and I was very upset. I let AmeriFreight know about it. I asked them about the car and I was trying to get updates and the trying to see about the carrier. Honestly, the carrier kept communicating with me except near the end that I got annoyed with the delivery. But I don’t wanna blame AmeriFreight for the carrier. I already paid and got my car.

I was moving from Orange County, California to Atlanta, Georgia. I went with AmeriFreight because their quote was good. They gave me a really low quote, and they did a good job finding me that low price. But all-in-all, I was pretty happy. Their quote was much lower than what the actual price ended up to be. Their customer service people were pretty good but they were a little bit pushy. I wanted my company to pay for the move, but AmeriFreight was really pushy about me committing and putting down a deposit. I ended up having to pay for it out of pocket, and then, billing my company later because they made me feel like all these spots were going instantly and I wouldn’t have a spot on the truck if I didn't commit.
I shipped two cars. The first one was shipped through AmeriFreight and then the next one was through Acme Moving Company. I like Acme a lot better because they were much more upfront with what the cost was gonna be, which was more expensive. With their attention to detail and level of customer service, I felt like they basically narrowed down the drivers even more so. They weren’t so concerned with price. They were more concerned with quality. With Acme, they were like, “No worries. We’ll get you hooked and taken care of. No problem.” And it was within a very short time period. I didn't have to stress out about the time or how much time I had. There wasn’t any sort of urgency or mystery to when the truck was gonna show up, whereas a little bit more of a mystery with AmeriFreight.
AmeriFreight were a little bit more like, “I need all these windows, like three-day window,” as opposed to, “They could come on Saturday.” It felt like things were much more up in the air with AmeriFreight. But the rep that I dealt with did a really good job. She totally sold me on it. The car was delivered timely and there was no issues. So, I was generally satisfied.

The carrier driver was nice. I just had one little hiccup because there were some problems with the carrier’s truck, and they had to pull over 50 miles from my place. I had to go 50 miles and pick up my truck. But they did reduce the total cost since I had to do a Zipcar to go there and take mine. That was a good customer service on their behalf. Dmitri, the person who drove the truck was pretty good and let me know, a few hours earlier that he was about 50 miles away from Denver. He gave me enough time--I was at work--so I could wrap up things, go get the car with me. He was pretty good in communicating that he was there. I think I was the last one, last delivery for him here. He was on time. He was patiently waiting for me to get from my work to the spot where he delivered it. And he spoke with me pretty nicely. He was very courteous. I had a nice interaction. He picked the car up Monday evening, like around 5:00 PM Boston time, and then he delivered the following Monday around 5:00 PM Denver time.
They had told me initially it would have been the weekend. But I doubted because my brother was saying he had a car shipped once from Houston when he moved, and they generally don't deliver on weekends. But he was telling me also they can't drive beyond a certain point. So, he had to wait in Nebraska, for Monday's delivery in Denver. But it was right time for me. They did a good assessment looking at the car and noting any scratches and dings that it had and picked up the car, and they were on their way. They had a little bit of trouble at first getting there because they ran into a bunch of traffic. But they called me in advance, told me they were running a little late and we were able to reschedule to the next day which wasn’t a big issue to me. It took about eight days for them to ship my vehicle which is average for shipping across country. I'd recommend AmeriFreight to somebody. The rep was rude and she was also a nightmare. I hadn’t agreed nor signed up for anything, and she would leave me a couple of voicemails demanding that I call her and purchase right then and there. She said they would get a quote for me. If I don’t accept the quote, they're gonna drop me altogether and I have to find a new company. It was bad and the whole thing went on for three days.
The rep pushed me on buying insurance, so I did but upfront, they don't tell you that certain criteria has to be met for the insurance to be useable. It was a day later when I got an email that the car needs to be washed from tip to toe and all these different things need to be done such as pictures, camera and all that stuff. If your car is dirty, it invalidates the insurance altogether. I had insurance but it wasn’t even usable. So, I paid that insurance for nothing. On the other hand, the carrier himself was nice. He communicated with me via text all the time. I was driving back down to Florida myself so, he would communicate with me the accidents that I might run into and stuff like that. He was very good and I would go to him directly next time. It took him seven days to move the vehicle and when I got it, it was exactly where he said it would be. It was where he met me and it was good.

I needed to ship a vehicle as I was moving from Portland, Oregon to Raleigh, North Carolina, and I saw good reviews for AmeriFreight online. The quote I was given was comparable to others I had heard and their contact person who I spoke to was very professional. She was new on the job and she was trying very carefully to cover all the details. I got a good feeling from that, so I went with them. Also, the same contact person was very good about explaining how the bid system works. We accepted the first bid because it seemed like a very fair price.
My car was delivered safely in about a week and I was very happy. I was out of town when it arrived in Raleigh, so my brother took care of it. I didn't know they were coming that day until just a day or so before, and I was already out of town. But the fact that they were willing to deal with my brother in my absence was perfect, because I didn't know what they would've done. They were very willing to work with me, so that was great. I would recommend AmeriFreight.

I work for a company and we needed to get one of our company pickup trucks from a project in North Carolina out to Spokane, Washington. We didn’t have any employees available to make that drive for us, so we decided to use a shipping company. I checked the reviews online and AmeriFreight had some of the better reviews, so that’s why we chose them. Some of the other places were giving me quotes but not telling me how it worked. AmeriFreight started with a lower quote, but it was honest about how the process worked, how that quote may not entice a potential vendor and that the price might go up. The price went up, but it was expected. Instead of being upset about it, it was something I knew could potentially happen and would most likely happen, and so I appreciated it.
I got several calls and emails from the lady at AmeriFreight and the reps were pretty good. They called in and checked to see how things were going at certain points. The process took a little bit longer than anticipated though. The vehicle was originally supposed to be picked up two days before it got picked up, and it was supposed to be delivered two days before it ended up being delivered. From the point I contacted AmeriFreight to the point that it got delivered, it was a little over two weeks.
The process wasn’t flawless, but it wasn’t AmeriFreight’s fault, it was the vendor's. When they were scheduled to show up and they didn’t show up, I ended up having to call them to find out what was going on. They told me that their driver got hang-up in Cheyenne, Wyoming and told me the new date. The same thing happened going back. I was trying to get ahold of them. I left voicemails, but they never called me back. In the end, the driver was like, “Well, next time, ask for my number directly.” instead of working with the people who route them where to go. But that guy never called me back. So, unfortunately, the communication there was pretty poor. But the vehicle l got delivered all right.
AmeriFreight could tell the customers that when they’re dealing with the vendor, to make sure that they get the phone number for the driver specifically and not just the people routing them. If they have any concerns about where they are, they can talk to that person directly rather than trying to talk to a second party to get ahold of them. But overall, AmeriFreight did a good job. They kept up their end of the bargain.

I move back and forth from Colorado to Florida every year, so I just get my car transported. For my recent move, I looked up several companies and I felt that AmeriFreight's pricing was fair, so I went with them. My interaction with their rep was pretty good. I struggled a little bit towards the end as she didn’t wanna believe me where I told her the car was and where the driver was supposed to meet me. She didn't believe that the truck wasn’t gonna scratch anything or anybody else’s vehicle getting in. But finally, they got it worked out, so it was okay. From start to finish, it took five weeks to have everything set up. But the transport was quick as it took three days. When working with AmeriFreight, you’re not just dealing with them but you’re dealing with whoever they contract out with to pick up and deliver your vehicle. So, that is the biggest thing off at first that you’re not aware of. But other than that, everything was fine about my experience.

Still, we got the initial information and as I got closer to the date of the move, she was right on point with letting me know who had accepted the offer. Even after completion, she called to check up to make sure that everything was all right. The date that the carrier driver told me he would be there, he was there. They let me know when a transporter was found, when they were coming and when to expect everything to be delivered. They also told me about payment and explained everything very clearly to me. AmeriFreight was very good to the point where my mother is moving out of state soon as well and she's probably going to use them for her vehicle transport as well. So we were very happy with them. Their rep was very communicative, answered all my questions and was pretty professional. Thereafter, their driver gave me his information, told me how long the move was gonna take him and when to expect him. He said he would text me before he got to the destination and let me know where he was. Five days later, the vehicle got to me in the condition I delivered it in. I was moving and I was looking for an affordable way to ship my cars. I didn't wanna go with just the regular moving companies out there that would contract with a dozen different shipping companies to move my cars across the country, so I did a Google search. I found AmeriFreight and I decided to go with them. Their reps were very helpful if you needed them. You call them and they were there.
During the transport, the original carrier that was gonna transport my Hyundai was supposed to come in the afternoon on a certain day and they didn't come. I was calling and nobody wanted to help me. Then I called the local carrier. They never heard of me and they said they'd be there in two days. But they were supposed to come that day. So, I called back to AmeriFreight and they found another local provider to pick it up the next morning. And they did that.
Other than that, the quote for my Infiniti, which I had shipped on an enclosed carrier, was right on the money. It was 2,000 bucks. On the other hand, the quote for the Hyundai was originally $1,000, then it ended up being $1,300 because they could not find anyone willing to take it for a $1,000. In the end, both cars were shipped and delivered on time, so I had no complaints on that. Also, AmeriFreight was very easy to deal with.

Then, the driver made contact a couple days before he was gonna be in the area to make arrangements for where we’d drop off the car. I went and dropped off the car with him and he was awesome. He was also very thorough and he explained how it was going, checked the car out thoroughly, gave me all the paperwork, and told us when he would be in California with the car. Then, we were told he would reach out the day before to arrange for pick-up and it was terrific.
The initial quote went up a little bit in the end and initially, the quote was more than we thought it was gonna be to ship a car to California, but it was fairly comparable to competitors. I purchased a car in California and I needed it shipped to where I live in West Virginia. AmeriFreight seemed to have the best price. The layout of their website seemed the most user-friendly and they just seemed to be the best bet when I was looking at stuff. I was given an online quote on the spot versus having to call somebody and that was another selling feature.
The quote changed in the end but it didn't go up much. The initial quote was in the 900s, which was why I initially called them, and then the end up quote went up a couple of hundred bucks. But that was probably because it was specific for the actual people doing the driving. The guy I dealt with, Richard, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and he explained everything to me. He said it would've been cheaper if I would've waited a couple of weeks, but I was trying to get the car then. We had some communication issues with the shipping company and the way they were doing the order, shipping and communication stuff seemed very loose.
There seemed to be a mix-up on the shipping end itself. I was supposed to pick the car up at a side of the road dealer and I was making sure it got done correctly. I bought the car blind so I told my salesman that I needed to make sure that the car gets loaded correctly. They had to ship my car from outside San Francisco up to L.A, then the car got loaded somewhere else from there and it was taken across the country. That leg of the trip was the questionable part. It seemed confusing and frustrating at the time, but Richard was on his game. I called him then he asked me to give him a few minutes. He called me back and said he talked to someone who would talk to the driver. He also gave me an update.
Once the car got put on the other transport vehicle, the gentleman that delivered it to my guy here in Maryland said that it was great and everything was professional and smooth. When the car actually got shipped, it still made it there in the time that they said it was gonna be there. I wish that the way the truck drivers bid on the price was done more accurately. Overall, I was happy and I would ship again with AmeriFreight, but I definitely wouldn't ship whatever company that delivered my car. On the other hand, Richard was always pleasant. I have three cars and only two drivers, so I needed to ship my vehicle for a move. I've had previous experience shipping cars. There is a transport reviews website and I went through the top. There were a lot of them that got good ratings and I called different places starting at the top and working my way down. The quote eventually given by AmeriFreight was a little optimistic because that was what the rep was gonna try for and it ended up being close to what everybody else was quoting as well.
The transport organizer was fine. When I talked to him, it ended up coming to around $1,500 total to ship the car at the end, although we were looking at around 1,000 initially. He informed me what he was gonna put out there and then he was gonna let the drivers come back with their offer. But essentially, we’d get one and he’d email me and try to call me, too, and let me know that they got it. He would give me his opinion on whether he thought it was a good price or not, then we’d go from there. Eventually, what happened was I reached a point where I couldn’t keep waiting for a better price and I just took what was in-line with all the rest of them. Part of that was due to I was in a remote location where it needed to be picked up.
I didn’t meet the driver on either end, but it went fine from the people that both delivered and picked up my car for me, so there were no issues there. The actual trucking company was also able to flex the delivery location to help out my friend that picked up my car, so I was happy with all that. The shipping process took about five days from pick up to delivery, but overall, it was around two and a half weeks from initiating the request to get it picked up to the car getting shipped then arrived. I'm in the military and when I was on leave in my hometown, I bought a car. I didn't want to drive it across the country to Georgia and so I thought of having it shipped. It was the most convenient way for me. I've never shipped a car before and so I did a lot of research. A lot of smaller brokerage companies gave me good deals, but they didn't have any ratings on them. I then went on Transport Reviews and on there, AmeriFreight had the most reviews, the best ratings, and they also gave me the cheapest price. I wanted the reliability of the better company and so I used their services.
Dealing with their transport organizer was easy, but the experience I had during the pick-up wasn't so great. The person who was in contact with me about the driver wasn’t so clear on when the driver would show up. He gave me a big timeframe but then the driver didn't even show up that day. Instead, he came the next morning two hours late. I wasn't busy so it wasn't a huge concern, but I could see how that would be one for someone who has a tight schedule. Then, during the delivery to Georgia, I was told that I would be given a three-hour notice as to when the driver would show up.
They, however, gave me notice when the driver was already at the pick-up location. That was a little unprofessional. I wasn't part of the duty schedule back then so it was easy for me to go and make that pick-up. Still, I was happy that I went with AmeriFreight. They were very reliable and they provided extra insurance in case anything would happen. They handled it in a professional manner. Also, the price I paid at the end of the transport was the exact same price I was quoted at the start.

We moved over here and we needed to ship our vehicle from North Carolina to California. I was actually going with another transport company that had good reviews, but their customer service wasn’t good and I kept calling them. I got tired and decided that I had to leave. I liked the reviews of AmeriFreight, so I decided to work with them instead. It was really good working with the transport organizers. They had good customer service and they helped me out a lot. Every time I called, they answered. On the day of delivery of the vehicle, we met with the carrier driver at the designated area and it was very simple, easy and fast. The condition of the vehicle was perfect. The entire transport took eight days and our experience with AmeriFreight was really good. I would use them again and I would recommend them to anybody.

We needed to ship our vehicle when we were moving from California to Florida. I called AmeriFreight and they were able to tell me what was gonna happen right away and I didn't have to worry a lot about what was gonna get done. Also, they gave me an estimate of the price that I would need to ship the vehicle. So, we decided to go with AmeriFreight over other transporters. The transport organizer was very nice and very polite, and he was very good in his knowledge of transport.
My dad received the vehicle when it was delivered and he said that the carrier driver was very nice. The driver wasn’t able to come in through our street because there is construction being done over there now. So, he left his shipping truck out on the road, then he drove our vehicle on the way to the address, and it was very nice of him to do that. The condition of the vehicle when it arrived was just how we left it. Other than getting some dust from the whole trip, there was nothing wrong with it. The total transport took five days and our experience with AmeriFreight was satisfactory overall.

I was moving my son’s car out of Fort Drum down to a storage in Concord, North Carolina. Shanda, the girl at AmeriFreight that was taking care of the move, made things a lot easier and smoother. She did everything well, accurately, and on time, and she would give me updates all the time. She offered me the option to pay upfront and gave me a ballpark, and I agreed with it. She also gave me a ballpark on the pickup which was a day before what she mentioned and it was a lot better. It worked out really good and it was a wonderful experience with Shanda.
My son is coming out of Qatar on June 8th and there is a high chance he wants to take the truck that we moved down to Concord to Missouri, and I will call Shanda herself because she made the move a lot easier. English is not my first language, but I never felt intimidated. I have used Reliable and Pilot Transport before, but AmeriFreight had better quality service with half the price.

My vehicle needed moving across the country from California to New York. My wife researched some trustworthy companies and she found that AmeriFreight was among the list of truck workers’ association. The quote given didn't change much but the only thing that changed a lot was the pick-up because they said the truck could come close to my home, and then it couldn't. That was a little bit problematic but I didn't have any complaints about them at all. They also told me that it would arrive one day earlier but it didn't. It was a very snowy week, and it was that week that the whole country had the major weather advising. Even so, the driver was polite. He was worried that I could complain about some scratches in the car but the car was fine and it came in one piece. Everything was okay.

I looked at a lot of reviews and AmeriFreight had the best reviews, which made me chose them. We were moving my wife from Houston, Texas to Columbus, Ohio. I got a free quote from them and it was exactly on. The agent that I worked with sent out the bid and the driver tried to come in a little higher, but the agent made sure we got the price they quoted.
The driver picked the car up Friday morning at ten and delivered it Sunday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. One of the hydraulic pumps broke and the driver had to shuffle to fix it, which added a little time, but it was nothing we could control. We were still on the plane when he delivered the car and we had to have a friend sign for it. The car was perfect and we were happy with everything.

AmeriFreight picked my car up this morning, so they're still shipping it but I think it's gonna be a great experience. I've used them before, and I have never had a problem from the office people to the driver. The fellow who picked the car up this morning couldn’t have been better. He was very careful about the car. And so, I'm a happy camper.
Kimberly was my main contact, and she seemed to be very knowledgeable. She was always friendly. I always kept her number because I knew I'd get good service from her. When my car gets delivered tomorrow, it'll be a day early because, originally, I was told it was gonna be two days, but then when they showed up, one of the guys said, “We'll be there tomorrow because there's two of us. We're both drivers. So one sleeps, one drives. It'll be there tomorrow.” So that’s wonderful.

I’m in the military, and I was moving duty stations. Two months prior to my move date, I shopped around companies online for affordable pricing. I have read good reviews about AmeriFreight and the price I was quoted at was $979, the cheapest one. So I used them to have my car shipped. I planned it way too early with them (almost 2 months in advance) hoping they would get a ‘driver’ and lock in the quoted price because they told me that the price may increase especially when it was getting closer to the pickup date, but it won’t be a lot. But that planning ahead doesn’t work because in the end, I paid $411 more. On top of that, my car was picked up on the last day of my move when I scheduled it on the day before my last day, the latest. So after they picked up my car, I had to rush to the airport to catch my flight.
My car was delivered earlier than expected though. However when the driver called (approximately around 5:30ish pm), that they would deliver it in the mall area around 7pm so he asked if I can meet him there. I was visiting family in a different state so I told him I will have my brother meet him and picked it up for me. Since they require Cash on Delivery, and the banks were closed at the time, my brother was kind of panicking because he doesn’t have enough money to pay the driver. It almost cost me extra expense, because I decided to send my brother the money via Western Union.
Fortunately before I did it, my brother called me again and informed me that the driver called and that they will deliver the car the next day between 1200-3pm instead. I understand they come across traffic but I would suggest to not set the time until they really know for sure how close they are to the agreed delivery location because they came late and my brother waited for a little over an hour. This is my first time having my car shipped and I would say I was not happy with the experience.

I had a very good experience with AmeriFreight. I was moving a used pick-up truck to put my grandson. The move was 1,100 miles, from Austin, Texas to Watertown, New York. I did a bunch of research on transport companies and a lot of it was on price, but mainly it was the reviews. Compared to what was out there, AmeriFreight's cost was fair. Their customer service was also very good. The rep, Lindsey, was on top of everything. Everything she said that would happen happened. She also followed up and see if things were going okay. Their people were 10 minutes early during the pick-up time. The transport took four days and everything went smoothly.
The delivery team and my grandson were gonna meet at Walmart up in New York, but because the driver was familiar with the area up there, he suggested another place that was closer to the base where my grandson is stationed. Everything went as planned. They stuck to the plan and everything was executed on time and properly. We had good communication, and I was very pleased. My grandson's dad is gonna ship the same pick-up truck down to Memphis. So, we’re gonna be in touch with AmeriFreight again for that.

When we relocated from Washington to Texas, I had to ship my car and I got AmeriFreight for it. Initially, the transport organizer started talking about how the whole process works. She was very thorough in explaining everything, but she was not very customer-friendly. Also, the original quote that was given to us was a little misleading which left a bad taste in our mouth. The original price we got was 908 and then a few days later, I got another email and it bumped a couple of hundred more dollars. We found out that once we submitted our order, it went into the computer system and then it was bid on.
The 908 that was originally quoted was what they thought would be the lowest price available but the rep said that I'd never get it. It was like a little bait and switch. So, we had to pay 1,300. It was drastic and the transport organizer could be more empathetic with the situation and the process. The driver had great communication and was willing to work with me since the development where we live in has no way that he was getting back here with his hauler. He worked with me on where we could meet. He met us as close to the house as possible, so it wasn’t an inconvenience for us. He was phenomenal.
My car's condition was what it was but it was a little shocking to see how dirty it was because of the transport. I expected that a little but other than that, it was just a quick trip to the car wash. Given my experience, everything went really well but I do not know if I would recommend AmeriFreight because of what we experienced with the difference in price. That was tough to deal with. There could be a different way that it could be presented so that it was not so misleading to the customers and such a shock in the process. I don’t know if we’ll use AmeriFreight’s service again on our next relocation.

I wanted to move a vehicle from Princeton, Kentucky to San Dimas, California. I looked into several transport companies and AmeriFreight was referred to me by an employee that I work with. When he was in the Marines, AmeriFreight moved his cars around for him every time he moved. AmeriFreight called and I got it all set up. The transport took five days. The reps kept calling me back to make sure that we were satisfied with the pick-up. They kept me informed every time when their driver would check in with them, how close I was and what time I would be there. They were very much on top of that. The driver called and told me the exact time he was gonna be there. He was very punctual with his time. We met him 45 minutes later. The driver picked up when they said they were going to and delivered when they said they were going to.
AmeriFreight didn’t charge me a dime more than what they quoted me. I had called a couple of other people, and they were very shady. They didn’t wanna give me an exact quote of what it was gonna cost me to move the vehicle. But these guys right here at AmeriFreight were good. It was the best experience that I had with anybody. I got multiple calls about questions, price changes and little detail changes. The driver was very accommodating. The car is a manual and he helped my family member drive the car and park it in a specific spot at a mall parking lot until I was there so, we appreciated that as well. I moved across the country. AmeriFreight's prices were competitive and their reviews online were very good so I went with them. I definitely liked the free quote calculator I took advantage of. One thing that I didn’t like though was how many emails I was sent after just filling out the information. So it ended up being from all the places that I’ve researched. But also, AmeriFreight was in addition to everyone else sending me just emails or called. Even so, the interaction with the transport organizer from AmeriFreight went smoothly. He was very helpful. My biggest concern was that they weren’t gonna pick up the car in time because they don’t use trucks that are obviously, from their own company. It’s outsourced. Luckily, they picked everything up on time, which was nice.
I didn't meet the courier driver because I was already out in LA at the time. But the person who picked up the car was apparently good. The one thing that was a little concerning was that it was a beautiful sunny day, I have photos of how really nice it was, and in the receipt of the transfer, the driver circled "unable to view car based on weather condition". That seemed a little bit strange. Any insurance that I’ve had on the car would have been voided. So luckily, I was okay.
Also, I had to have my car driven to meet them in a specific pickup point and my concern was that we would drive the car there and then the truck driver wouldn’t show up, or that they would get there and ask for more money, which has happened with other companies. I was relieved that did not happen with AmeriFreight. Then, when the car arrived, it was perfectly fine. We had to get it washed because they’ve gone through some dirt a day before they dropped it off. But it didn’t show any damage at all.

In my initial contact and discussion, they were the most honest and upfront in explaining the process and how things work. They didn’t push for an agreement and let things occur on my timeline rather than trying to get me to commit to making a rash decision.
The interaction I had with their transport organizer was phenomenal. She was honest, timely, and she answered all of my questions. I couldn’t have been happier with that whole process. Also, the courier driver was very courteous and professional. He opened a direct contact to track the progress of the delivery. I couldn't ask for anything better either. I called him and had to change addresses and do all sorts of stuff, which he was really good about dealing with including a last minute address pick-up change. He put it up on the board, and he called me every time there was an offer and recommended the ones that I should consider based on their past performance. And then, one came in that he had a good experience with and he thought I should take it and it was competitive, so I did.
Harry gave me the best service, and the car got from California to Maryland in three days. The carrier driver dropped the car off a block from my work. I had to move for work and I needed to ship my vehicle for about 1,400 miles from Arkansas to California. I looked at reviews online and contacted about three companies prior to AmeriFreight. But I noticed that my personal details and phone numbers were shared with other service callers which is why I decided that I had to go with somebody who is trusted. That's when I found AmeriFreight. They gave me a well-priced quote and the final price came close to $50, so it was not much different.
I then received a call from one of their agents, Harry, and he explained to me how the thing works in general. Basically, everybody is a transport agent and then they post it on the big billboard and as the date gets nearby, there might be transporters who might be picking it up. Harry kept me updated about whether the vehicle was getting picked up or what the rate was for a company that they trusted. Then, I could say no if the price was too high. In one occasion, I actually moved the date because I was not comfortable with being $100 over the initial quote and he was okay with that.
The company who transported my vehicle came on time and they inspected it. Then, for the delivery, they called me one day before to give me an exact timeslot and when it will be delivered to my location. On the delivery day itself, they inspected the vehicle again and made sure that I was okay and that was it. I did not have to wait long and they never extended the window out.
