Moved from UT to TX, and worked with Cosmo ** to coordinate moving one extra vehicle. Ultimately he found a very good mover who picked up my car on time and was able to deliver days early, a big help. Along the way the communication and updates and tracking were great, so can't say enough about the positive experience and Cosmo especially.

AmeriFreight had the best price. It was gonna be $895. We paid 200 and something dollars down then we paid the rest of it when the truck got here. The cost went up maybe $200 from what we thought it was going to be but the guy that delivered the truck was very nice. We texted back and forth. AmeriFreight is the one to use.

Everything was fantastic with AmeriFreight. The woman I dealt with, Lindsay, was great. The pickup, drop off and communication was good.

The cost was fair and the transport went fine. But I wish that I was able to get a better estimate as to where my truck was at all times. I wasn't able to reach anybody for about five days and it scared the hell out of me because nobody was able to get a hold of the drivers. So it was a little sketchy.

The process was pretty smooth and easy. The reps knew what they were doing. They let me know when they had a quote. I turned down the first offer and they found me another one pretty quickly. That one worked out. The vehicle was the same way we got it when it arrived.

Everything worked out fine. The communication was great both from AmeriFreight's office and the driver. The driver was exceptional. She called me every day and let me know what her status was and got it here ahead of time, faster than I thought. She did a good job and the car was in good shape. That's my second car that I've used AmeriFreight for recently. Both moves went great.

Once I got the quote, I gave AmeriFreight a call and from there, they said, “Okay, we’ll work with you.” They said that it would be a couple of days to find somebody, but they were gonna make it happen and they did what I needed them to do. Their communication was really good. They kept emailing me, “Hey, if any issues, let me know.” Once they gave me a person that was gonna ship my car, they gave me a number to call if any issues were to happen. It was super quick, stress-free and easy. They did most of the legwork, and I’ll recommend it if someone wants to ship their car.

The representatives were polite and very friendly, and answered all my questions. They seemed transparent about them, and I was able to haggle with them. I could have been a bit more aggressive with my haggling, but at the end of the day, it brought the price down a bit and it was reasonable.

The rep I dealt with on the phone was great, and the driver was awesome as well. I have a long block, and he walked two blocks down to get my car because he had some expensive cars on top and drove the one up there. He thought I was gonna walk, and I said, "No." He said, "Well, just get in your car and follow me up there." I drove behind him. He went up there and showed me how he was putting them on a car and where he was gonna put my car at and it wouldn't be moving from there. We talked a little and he was easy to talk to. I helped him back out into the street and back over to the Route 8, and off he and I went. My daughter received the car, and she had to go to a spot 15 minutes away from her apartment, because of the trees. He didn't want to mess up the expensive cars on top, which I understood. She drove the car back home. Overall, my experience with AmeriFreight was pleasurable.

AmeriFreight was awesome and went above my expectations. When I called and spoke to the saleswoman, Sydney, she was personal, answered all my questions and anything and everything I needed to know about the process. They kept me in the loop the entire time. The driver was prompt. He was a little early, which didn’t bother me. He gave his heads up. “Hey, I’m on my way. I’ll be there at this time.” He also kept us informed along the whole route. And from start to finish, we felt confident and comfortable that he was moving the car for us. It was worth it. I would do it 10 times over if I had to. I’m going to refer AmeriFreight in the future for anyone I know.

The transport was from San Diego to San Francisco. It took a day and a half. It was very smooth.
Reviewed Nov. 29, 2021
The ending cost was a bit higher. The first driver just looked at the car and didn’t talk much or ask much questions. And just said, “Your car's overweight so you pay me 100 now and you should pay 150 at delivery.” I wanted to get a guarantee. So I said, “I'll pay 150 at delivery.” He took it. The driver who dropped it off was great. He just said, “Hey, this is what your cost was, plus 150.” I inspected the car and signed off my paperwork. So, that was easy.
Everything went well and I appreciate the help for my first time. But once I got here and talked to family, and I checked Splendid’s website, they said, “You don't need to go through third parties and all that.” So I spent extra money than I needed to using AmeriFreight when I could have just called Splendid Transportation myself and set it up. If AmeriFreight would do the service, they should lower the cost a bit. People know what they are doing. They will find the companies right away. But if this is their first time, they probably will go through a third party vendor.

I had a great experience. I spoke on the phone with one of AmeriFreight's reps. He choreographed me through the whole process. It was painless. Once we got all the information to him, he shopped out the quotes. The quote was a little more expensive than what he originally expected, but I was on a short window to get the vehicle out. So, we came to terms. I agreed on it. We went with the shipping company given that they would pick the car up immediately, but it wasn’t until the next day that they grabbed it. So it pushed off my delivery a day. Other than that, the car arrived fine. They preferred to handle the remainder, and it was good.

I liked AmeriFreight's customer service. It was the gentleman on the phone, and there was a couple of women, too, on the phone during the process. They were very open, friendly, communicative and sent emails in writing. So, I thought that was really inviting. There were no hiccups during the process. The car went from the East Coast to the West Coast, and it was door-to-door service. It was quick. The truck driver that we were dealing with seemed to be very family oriented. They even checked on our personal welfare.

AmeriFreight was great. They were the quickest among the companies I dealt with to get somebody to get my car down here. The transport was from New York to South Carolina and everything pretty much went according to schedule. There was a time crunch. We were getting out of New York on the 5th and they contacted me on the 4th. A guy then came the same day to pick up the car.
My only note for AmeriFreight's improvement is for them to be more responsive. My salesman went on vacation and never called me or said anything about it. It was the same when he came back from vacation. It took me contacting him. And when transporting a vehicle, don't put your car out there to one company then contact another. I found out that everybody's in the same pool so you could technically be bidding on yourself. That's what AmeriFreight told me too.

We had an issue finding a driver. Then once we found one, having them pick up on time and drop off on time, I had no information from them. But, it wasn't AmeriFreight's fault. The nice lady who I was working with was trying her best to keep me updated and keep hounding them on, like, “Where's the car at? It's three days late.” She seemed to be on top of things and good at communicating. But, a lot of it comes down to whatever driver they got ahold of to pick it up, and then whatever company that was that they used wasn't very good at communicating what was going on.

Summary: A moving agent that scams consumers into thinking they are getting a good rate, then switching them out when we are in the busy midst of moving. I chose Amerifreight after sourcing a few different mover agencies. I chose Amerifreight because I was quoted $1176, somewhat lower than other providers. Two days before the move however I was told I would have to pay $1650 cash, or slightly more with card. This is a 40% more than the original quote despite there being no changes in moving details.
I was already in the middle of moving, and did not have the time any more to find a different mover. So I just paid the money and went with them. I understand that they do not control the final price and a little variance is generally acceptable, but they must still honor the price they quote. I have not put a Google review yet and I probably should.

Anybody I deal with, I go by how honest they are. The young lady from AmeriFreight was very personable and upfront. I felt like from the very beginning, that she was 100% honest, very forthright. She said, “Let me explain the process to you. Let me explain how this works. We put it out there for bids. I'm gonna put it out there for the lowest bid. I can put it out there for you. But honestly, a lot of times, guys don't buy it on the lowest bid.” She was on the phone with me for 45 minutes. Very honest in explaining to me the process and how it works. I probably talked to a dozen companies and she was the only one that I felt like I wasn't wasting her time.
The first quote that she provided me, she said, with the fees and everything, she said she would try and get me in the $1,100 range. But she said, “Sometimes, it's hard to get them to bite on this. It just depends on what their load is and where they're at and things like that.” She explained to me what their fees were, so that was $1,100 including their fees, which would have put the driver at 800 bucks or whatever. And she said, “So chances are, it's going to come in a little bit more than that. But let's try with this.” I said, “Listen, I'm not gonna tell you how to do your job. You're honest. You're fair. Make it happen.”
She called me back a day later and she said, “As I discussed with you, I wasn't sure whether we could get you in at the lower rates, but we got you in it.” It was 1,390, which I thought was fair because everybody else was looking at $1,600, $1,700, $1,800. And I said to her, “Hey, sounds fair to me. And I appreciate your honesty.” And she said, “Do you want me to roll with it?” “Make it happen.” I've probably talked to her on the phone half a dozen times through this process. She called and said, “I want to let you know who your driver is. I want to let you know who the company is that’s moving the car. I want to tell you what their rating is and how well they're insured.” She went through the whole thing with me.
It was so effortless. But even the driver that the company that we used that she lined us up with went above and beyond. He stayed in contact with me, called me a couple of times while the car's being transported, called me at his halfway point. Said, “Yeah. I'm about halfway out from your location.” He said, “I picked the closes dealership to your house. I wanted to make it easy on you.” I said, “A good friend of mine owns the Chevrolet dealership right across the street. I'm not going to be able to get the car. My wife can meet you up there. But would you mind dropping it at that Chevrolet dealership? I'll call Mike right now and see if that's okay. Then we can leave the car there until we get off work this evening to pick it up.”
He asked, “What's that address?” And I said, “Well, I don't know the address. I just know the name of the dealership.” He said, “It didn't come up on my GPS when I was looking for different places to drop. If you can give me an address, call me back.” So I got him the address. I called him back. But when I did, he was pulling up. He said, “Oh, yeah. I found it.” And, “Man, I’ll help you out any way I can help you out. You want me to drop it across the street? That's perfectly fine. I'll make it happen.” The driver and the people at AmeriFreight were awesome. It was the smoothest thing I've ever done.

Dealing with Benjamin was amazing. He was the main salesperson I dealt with, and he was absolutely A+. Unfortunately, one day, I spoke to somebody else and she was horrendous. I complained about her and I would not have her on the line. She had poor attitude, was not good with customers, and got in my face a bit. Benjamin said that the pickup was going to be one of these two days, and she then intervened somehow and said, "No, we can't. I'm sorry. You are wrong. There's no one that could have told you." I was apoplectic and worried. With the way this woman acted, I thought I was dealing with a shady group and I was gonna axe the deal.
I got Benjamin back on and he said, "No, it was a misunderstanding. Let me take care of it." I said, "Okay." "It's gonna come this day or that day, just like we said. This is the price." Everything else was done great. What he quoted was exactly what I paid, so it's fabulous. The transport was from Texas to Georgia, and it came on time, in the morning. I was thrilled. Benjamin gave me the guy's telephone number, and I met him at a Walmart parking lot 'cause he had a big truck. I gave him the cash, and the hand-off was perfect. Use Benjamin if you use AmeriFreight. AmeriFreight had a competitive price and I liked the way they explained the process, namely that it's an auction-based one. They can't guarantee the price but they try to start at the lowest and try to find a freight company that will accept the job at that rate. Sometimes, they get a counteroffer. That was how AmeriFreight handled the process, which was transparent, so I ended up using them twice. But their fee was steep. I bought two old cars and had them shipped at the same time. The cost was $2,400. 1,900 was for the freight company and 500 was for AmeriFreight. They are a broker and that was very expensive. But maybe they're way cheaper than all other brokers. AmeriFreight provided really great customer service. The people I spoke with each time were very knowledgeable and understood what I needed and wanted to do and the amount of money I wanted to spend. They told me upfront all about the pricing, the insurance, and how they pick their carriers. I needed a specific date and they walked me through how I could lock in that date and what the price would be as compared to if I had a bigger window so that I could make that decision myself, that I wanted to spend the extra money and lock in a particular date. Everything was so upfront and aboveboard. They were very honest with me which I appreciated.
The driver called a day in advance and told us what time that he would be there. He arrived on time, was extremely friendly, and treated our cars well. He told us about when we could anticipate delivery. On that day, he called and texted us that he got stuck in traffic and he'd be too late. We didn't want the cars to arrive after dark and he understood that so he brought them out the next morning. He called and told us he was on his way and about what time he’d arrive. Originally, I worked with one lady who was a military veteran. She was very upbeat and very friendly. She lasted a couple of weeks, then she quit and moved on. So I got her boss as a replacement. They seemed to answer all the questions correctly and they did the job. At the time, we were moving, so we had to make the timing of the move coincide with our containers arriving and that we'd have a vehicle here in Florida to be able to handle the containers. We still had to rent a car, but that only was for a week and it wasn't too bad.
During the transport, I tracked them because I have tracking capability on the Mercedes. I could see where they were staying in Tallahassee for a few days but it wasn't really very clear. It wasn't very good tracking and they didn't tell me where they were. I needed to transport a truck from Ohio to California. I got an email of what the price would be with AmeriFreight and they told me if I wanted to accept it, I had to like click on some stuff. In the end, the quote was a lot less than what I paid. It was about 150 less with different companies if the same vehicle was getting shipped back to Ohio, so I really wasn’t happy at the price. But it is what it is. Other than that, the delivery worked out well and I had to meet the driver up the street.

The people at AmeriFreight I talked to were really clear and reassuring about everything. Their customer service was fantastic. I had a dedicated person on my account who was always super responsive, got back to me immediately every time, and was able to provide updates when I asked for them. During the delivery, someone else picked the car up for me and the driver was very flexible with the contact who picked it up.
The initial quote that I filled out on the website was $300 less than what the actual quote ended up being. But they were very clear that the first one was just the preliminary quote. Also, even the final quote ended up being less than the other quotes that I had received from other companies. Given the state that my car arrived in and the really easy process, it was a reasonable price.

AmeriFreight was immediately on top of everything I needed. They sent me the paperwork first thing and the paperwork got handled. They were very in communication with me for the next few days while they were getting quotes back and forth. I work in an environment where I can't have my cell phone all the time and they would email me everything first so I could call them back. But the carrier service that they were able to get for the dates that I needed was not particularly great as far as coordinating time. The carrier service had to go through my dad who's down in Florida with the vehicle and they were very bad about telling him anything. He didn't know until the day of the pickup what was going on with that. Other than that, I was satisfied with AmeriFreight themselves.

Since I moved to another state, I thought it would be better for me to ship my car here and according to the rating score on the website, AmeriFreight was rated the second one and they were famous for their low price. So, I decided to choose them. Their rep was very helpful and responsive. She found the suitable driver and let me know about that.
The only concern I have is that I received an email after the quote and the email included three prices. The first one was the lowest price, the second one was economy, and the third one was the premium. So, I chose the lowest price, which was around a little bit more than 1,000. I know the final price will not be that low but when I shipped my car, the price the driver offered was more than $2,000. I totally understand that the price on the market would change according to different drivers and the situation. But the difference between the price shown to me and the price that would finally be requested by the driver was too big. In that way, I may choose another company and there would not be any difference because the price was all controlled by the drivers. The difference made me feel that AmeriFreight was not that cheap, which was the first reason I chose this company.
Other than that, the pickup and delivery went were good. I couldn't load more than 100 pounds of stuff in my car, so I just weighed every stuff on my car and ensured that my stuff would be around 100 pounds. I only put two boxes in lower the window and the backseat, plus the ones in the trunk. But when the driver opened my trunk, he said that if I didn't pay another $100, he couldn't accept this. He thought it was more than 100 pounds. In the end, the shipment took about six days and my car was shipped in front of my door directly.

AmeriFreight moved my Jeep Wrangler from Arizona to Fort Lauderdale and it was great. Initially, I considered three companies in total and ultimately, I made my decision based on availability. Cost-wise, AmeriFreight was pretty comparable to everyone else. Then there were a couple others that would have been without the service fee, but I felt that their price was fair. They dropped my vehicle right at the front door and the only thing that was an issue in the beginning was that the driver was supposed to pick it up on Saturday. But something came up so the driver wasn’t able to get there on that day. And he didn't pick it up until Monday and by then, I was already on the road. So I wasn't there when he picked it up. I had to have my son get it all set up for them. But it wasn't a big deal and it was little more of a hassle than had he been able to do it on Saturday.

I did some research online, found Car Talk, and Car Talk recommended AmeriFreight among other ones. I looked at all those recommendations and decided on that. I had to transport my vehicle from Pittsburgh to San Diego and I had to do it within a pretty tight timeframe. Plus, my vehicle was only available for a couple of days before I had to move out. AmeriFreight's reps answered my questions well and it was a relatively straightforward process to reach out to them and get a quote.
The worst part of it was that they underquoted me significantly, by about 70%. They quoted me about a grand, then once my car was on the market and I was out of time because it was only a couple days before I had to fly out of town, they told me that there was an offer of 1,900. I told them that was too much and a day later, they said it would be 1,700. I asked them if I should take this as it seemed a lot more and they said that was just how it was for California. I was also without recourse at that time, so I took it.
Other than that, I was pleased with their service. I had the car delivered to my parents’ place and they were the ones who interacted with the driver. I didn't receive any calls or texts from the driver and I don't think that my folks did either. But I expected that he would arrive at a time that he said he would and he did. I'm also happy that my car made it safely and without any scuffs. And everyone was very polite and professional, which I appreciated. But it cost me a lot more than I was looking to spend.

The contracted crew did a great job. Anytime I had a concern, I called and I was able to talk to somebody. The vehicles arrived before I did. They were there two days from pickup and that's cross country. That's not typical. Also, the actual price was significantly below the quoted price. When the AmeriFreight rep said that the moving contractor had a really good rating with them, I trusted them coming out. Sure enough, they came through above and beyond what I expected. I contacted AmeriFreight and they looked at the type of vehicle and the dates that I was looking at. They posted on some kind of bulletin and then there are other companies to take a bid and be like, "Oh, I can do it." But they already set a set rate. So, there's the rate that you have to pay them for doing the communications, and then you have to pay the company another separate set rate. The process was a little stressful because you're giving your car to a company and they don't tell you that you're not going to hear anything until the day before. If you're organizing everything and then you're giving your car to someone, you kind of want to know that a ride is confirmed and by who, but I didn't really know until the day before or a couple of days before.
With the company that they got for me, they told me that I had a 48-hour window that they would come pick my car up. It got into that window and I still hadn't been contacted. So, I had to contact and I wasn't really happy about that. I was like, "You should contact me before that window to tell me when in that window you're going to get it." So, within those 48 hours, I was sitting here stressing, trying to figure out when and where and all these other details amongst my move.
The same thing happened on the other end. It got into that window and I was like, "Okay, no one's contacting me," so I had to contact them. AmeriFreight was really good. It was the other company. I kept having to go through all these people and that made it kind of frustrating. I contacted the driver, the driver didn't answer, so I contacted AmeriFreight and AmeriFreight was like, "Let me contact the driver." At that point, there was a different driver. So, it was like going into circles. I was supposed to get the car on Friday, then they gave my car to a local deliverer, and they don't work on the weekends. So, I didn't get it until the following Monday.
I understand there's traffic and things change and there's a lot of other cars. But I just wanted to know and I want to be contacted and communicated with. I don't want to have to reach out to get information on my stuff. If they would have told me firsthand before the time window that, "Okay, we're running a little bit late. The local deliverers don't work on the weekends. And so, you're not going to get your car till Monday," that would have been fine. But because I had to go through the hunt and then find out on my own that I wasn't getting my car until Monday, that was frustrating. I was supposed to take a video of my car. When I got it, I was allowed to inspect it and then sign off. So, in that process, I was fine and my car was fine.

Which would be an empty claim without explanation, so here it goes. We were traveling with our cat and dog, most flights/airlines do not allow pets to go in cargo due to the summer heat advisories - safety first. The night before our flight 8/4/21, we were informed that pets were not allowed to fly between 8am-8pm due to extreme heat. Fortunately were were able to change our flight so we would arrive in TX 8/4/21 at 11:59pm, however, no one would be available in TX to receive our vehicles. I explained the situation to Beka that he would beat us to TX and he was very understanding. This delay probably cost him valuable time and money. He kindly delivered the vehicles on 8/5/21 at 7am. Customer service was really helpful every step of the way and they let me know when the car was on the way, when it was leaving, and when it was supposed to arrive. They were professional and they answered any questions that I had along the way. The quote we were given was accurate too.
The car was in perfect condition from when it left Connecticut till when it got here in Colorado. The transport took six days. The driver couldn't drop the car off right in front of my home. Overall, I'd recommend Amerifreight. Before Amerifreight found a carrier for my car, communication was a bit of challenge. Some things were not explained well, like the fact that it was unlikely a carrier would come to my small town and that I should consider bringing my car to a larger city. The logistics were not explained very well either prior to finding a carrier, which resulted in some delays in getting my car delivered. However, once my car was picked up and I had issues with my driver, Baylee ** was very responsive and quick to help and on top of things, which I really appreciated. I met the driver and he was totally professional. He was really friendly and he knew what he was doing. I knew going in that it would be more than what they said, but they quoted us at 1,000, it ended up being two grand which is what I expected to happen. But the carrier picked it up, and the people who picked the car up and dropped it off were on time, kind and polite. Also, the people at AmeriFreight were very helpful. It was a pretty rush job and I got a bid in two days. Then the ambulance was on the truck the next day. They got it delivered promptly. They called me when they arrived and unloaded the ambulance. The people I talked to at AmeriFreight were all very great. Montway did my bid first and when I talked to them, they said that if I paid the money upfront, they had a guaranteed delivery date. But when I talked to AmeriFreight, they said there was no way possible that they can give me a guaranteed price if they don't already have a scheduled pickup date. So I went ahead and cancelled off with Montway, and I used AmeriFreight. Everything went well. We had a couple difficulties, but it wasn't their fault at all. It was my fault.
The quote was about $200 cheaper than the final price. But either way, if I didn't get my car here within the scheduled pickup date, it’s gonna get towed to a tow yard and I would have to pay way more out of pocket anyway. So that didn't bother me at all. The driver and I talked on several different occasions. He was giving me a heads-up of what time he planned on being up here. Then he had a couple issues picking up the car because of where it was at. I had a buddy meet him down at the apartment complex and everything went smooth after that.
Reviewed Sept. 4, 2021
It ended up AmeriFreight not being the cheaper of the companies. They said that the price was just a general quote, and that at the time, they said that shipping cost more now because many people are shipping things. It wasn't a very good reason for it. We originally were quoted at 1300, they next quoted us at 1900, and we got them down to 1800. Because at that point, we were desperate. We had to kind of get the car here.
Malia was wonderful. She was very helpful. It was Monday or Tuesday that they said that the car would be there, but the car never showed up. We never got a call or anything. And I thought, "Okay, maybe they're just running late." So, the next morning, I waited to get a call, didn't hear anything. We tried calling the numbers that they gave us, but no one would call us back. So, we reached out to Malia again. She was able to figure out that the guy was having some problems with his transport vehicle. He said that it would be here the next day. But he never showed up again. So, it was a back and forth of when he would actually arrive.
We would try to call and figure out what was going on. Malia, who was obviously off during the weekend, gave us a number for us to still call her. She said, "Look, if he's still not answering your calls or giving you any information, and if he doesn't show up again, then give me a call." He had once again, not shown up. On that Saturday, that was another time that he was supposed to show up, he didn't show up again. So, we were like, "Okay, I'm not going to call Malia 9 o'clock at night after we waited all day. I'll just call her on Sunday." She called him, and he finally reached back out to us that he was 30 minutes away and he ended up being two hours away. The car was supposed to be there Tuesday morning, it got there Sunday night.
I like Malia. She was definitely value added for the company. We would love to work with her again, not with their people, and whoever they are hiring. They don't care about the customers, and what's going on in their lives either. We were cool with understanding things happen on the road, but you try to compensate people, or at least knock a couple 100 bucks off something and be like, "Hey, we're sorry, we're severely late with your vehicle." But they weren't even willing to hear it.
My husband asked him, "Look, you're obviously really late. Can you knock off some money off of this? Because you're extremely late. You've told us you're going to be here and you're not here. And if you had just told me straight from the beginning, "I'm having these problems, I don't know when it's going to be resolved. I'll try to be here by this time"," if he had played it straight and kept in contact with us, "cool. But since you didn't, can you knock some money off of this? Because you've obviously kind of messed with us here." But he said, "Nope, not doing that. Get your car and go" and he started getting a little aggressive and my husband was, "Whatever, I'm gonna go. I'm just gonna get my car." They didn't even look over the car because at that point, it was, "Get the guy away from us."
What I told Malia was we were at the point where we don't know them as a company, and we were about to report the car stolen. Because there was nothing coming from the guy. He kept saying he was showing up, and he would not show up. He would have those times when, "I'll be there this day." and then, there would be nothing. So, we were like, "Did they just take the car?" We have another vehicle that we actually have to transport right now, and we're going to go ahead and look into other companies because we were just not going to do that again.

I went into the website and got myself a quote. I was quoted $1,200, then I was called by a guy named Harry and he was a very nice guy. Once I decided to go with AmeriFreight, he let me know he would post a listing on some sort of dispatch thing, and truckers would bid on that, and he explained the whole process to me which was cool. I felt fairly knowledgeable about it.
By the time he was done, he let me know the lowest someone would offer to ship for was likely around 1,600, even though the website quoted me 1,200. He said that technically was the lowest rate. But no one has been able to ship a car in the past several months for lower than 1,600. That was what I expected at that point. The website might be able to do a bit more in terms of explaining that there's a lot of variance in what we might pay. Otherwise, it was a great customer service experience. Harry himself was fantastic. He made me feel very taken care of, very much like he was on my side, and very knowledgeable, which is everything you want a customer service agent to be.
AmeriFreight doesn't actually do any of the shipping themselves. It's all outsourced to individual truckers. So, once a trucking company bid on it, Harry let me know that, "Hey, this trucking company has bid on it. They've got like a 99.8% rating. Do you want to go with them? They've offered to do it for this much." And I was like, "Oh, sure. Okay, let's do it." And they shipped within a two-day time frame. They said, "The trucker will show up to your agreed-upon location."
They weren't able to come to my house because I live in DC and there are specific rules around DC in having car carriers enter the city. So, I had to go out to a friend's house, where they met my friend, and he dropped it off for me, which was good of him. But the trucker texted us and called us before he would show up, about an hour in advance so we were ready to go. And he drove the car on and drove away and they arrived to California in four days, which was a day in advance of what they said.

I didn’t have anyone to pick up my car till the day before I left, Even though this guy had weeks to find someone. Talk about stress!!
Then my car ships but arrives before I do. When I get my car it’s full of bird poop. Fine, outdoor carrier not covered. When I went to wash my car I got the lovely surprise of it being all scratched up and dented from what I can only imagine could’ve been rocks and debris from the road. Thankfully I got premium insurance on it ... nope. Since I didn’t make a report in 48 hours they couldn't do anything about it. 48 hours!!! I wasn’t even at my destination yet because here I am driving cross country with a baby and 2 dogs so my poor 70 year old father in law had to get it.
In the end the guy I was reaching out to for days before I even called wasn’t answering because he no longer worked there and no one else took over his accounts. Even though it was a week after delivery and I spent days trying to contact someone the manager told me they couldn’t do anything. Now I’m down thousands of dollars more because my car needs to be detailed and painted. This was all because I thought I could save a couple of hundred bucks. I had an email confirmation that my goods were going to be packed between 8:00 to 12:00 on the 21st of June. Then, I got an email that day that they would be going from 12 to 5:00. At about 4:55pm, nobody had showed up at my house to pack yet and no contact had been made. So, I reached out through all the numbers that had been given and I finally got ahold of the local packing people. They said the truck was on the way and the packing crew should be here in just a few minutes. But nobody showed up for several hours and no other communications were made. I tried that phone number again and it never responded.
So, I finally had to call the emergency number and they said they didn't know what happened and would get back to me the next morning. So, the morning of when I was supposed to have my move day, the movers showed up and said they were ready to start moving, but nothing was packed and nothing was communicated. Then, about 20 or 30 minutes after the movers got there, somebody came to my backyard, knocked on our back door, and said they were the packers. They said they were always supposed to show up that day and that I was wrong. I told them that nobody ever contacted me or apologized, and they asked if I wanted them to just not pack and then I wouldn't get to move my stuff. Then, they hastily packed our house and loaded our stuff on the truck. Then, our driver showed up and got ready to move across the country.
We confirmed the dates they were supposed to deliver the goods and get things moved and the day that we were supposed to get our goods delivered was no later than July 15th. But no communication was given until about the day before that where they asked if I was ready to get my stuff. I told them that I was ready but on the day of the delivery, nobody showed up and nobody called. Luckily, I got the driver's phone number, so I reached out to the driver and he said some stuff happened in the schedule and that they wouldn't be here for about four more days. I then called AmeriFreight multiple times and no responses were ever given. So finally, I had to have my local move office call, then things were set up for it to happen on the 19th for my moving to get here.
When my move happened and they finally unpacked all of my household goods, it was discovered that when they had halfway stopped in Oklahoma, they mixed up our stuff with a bunch of other stuff. So, a bunch of stuff was lost, a lot of inventory tags fell off, and some items are still missing. But the driver did a good job. He unloaded a house at 29 Palms and he found a few of my missing items. He also paid for the people that helped unpack to bring those to me. But all in all, there was extreme lack of communication and it was a terrible experience. Stress was brought to my family and I felt being taken advantage of because they already had the government money since it was a military move. And it was like a spit in the face of an American service member as well as a frontline COVID worker that has been dealing with COVID for 18 months.
I filed inconvenience claims and so far, one check has been shipped, but I've only been given $78 for food and for the inconvenience on my family for not being in our house for four days, without equipment and sleeping on air mattresses. At the time, I got us into a hotel and they're not even covering the full hotel cost for the four days that we had to do because we didn't have any of our equipment.

The service was good, except there was one small scratch on my driver's side door handle. When the driver did the pick up, I noticed that he had a hard time when he was putting the car on the truck because the door was touching the side column of the truck. So, maybe at that time, it was scratched there. But besides that, there was no other damage. Also, there was a big difference between the initial estimate and the real cost. The initial estimate was around 900 but it came out to 1,713. I am not much happy about that. Everything else went okay. They deliver fast in five days or so. But with my overall experience, I’m not satisfied. I would not recommend them.

Both were very Long and take up more than normal on shippers trailers. Thank you again.

Things went smoothly with AmeriFreight and we'd recommend the company to anyone who needs a similar service like that. I had to call customer service once and everyone was kind. The rep who scheduled everything was on top of it and the driver called me when he was 15 minutes out. We set a location to meet and he was there on time. So, that was a good experience. The quote ended up being a $100 more than the initial quote, which wasn't too bad. It was expensive but I had shopped around and they had the most reasonable offer.

At the beginning it was hard to get in touch with customer service. Nobody would answer the phone. But once you're assigned to a representative it's ok. When I got a quote for shipping my car I bought it. Was $1180 and then ending up paying $2900. I just I got ripped off.

Great service. Very reasonable, even when driver canceled at last minute the team helped me work through it. Would ship with AmeriFreight again 100%. Don’t let that distract you from the fact that the Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the super bowl, ultimately losing to the New England Patriots.

As for AmeriFreight, the experience was satisfactory. Harry ** was pleasant to talk to. He explained that the company operates as a broker and the transport jobs are put out to bid. Xpress Transport Inc of Hialeah did the actual hauling and they were not satisfactory. Talked a good game, friendly text messages and friendly driver. But they were hard on the car, didn't show when promised, didn't communicate when late and even lied about when they finally did arrive to deliver the car. Experience started with a cloud of smoke coming out from under the car as he abused the clutch putting the car up the trailer ramp. In between he was a no show/no call on promised date of delivery and no show/ no call on next day.
Finally responded that he'd had truck problems and asked if he could deliver next morning early. I said fine but has to be by 7:00-- so my daughter wouldn't be late for her new job. He says fine, no problem. Next morning it's 7:45 and my daughter is still waiting: no show/no call. I called the owner who says call the driver. My daughter then sees him driving up. He claimed he'd been there for 30 minutes.

It was a terrible experience start to finish. In the end my vehicle was delivered with a knick in the window on the passenger side. I was rushed to sign for delivery and hadn't notice the knick when I walked around (rushed and asked to sign due to other deliveries). I called and could get in contact with NO ONE at the company or carrier about my vehicle and paid hundreds out of pocket on my own to get it fixed. Would never recommend - overpriced, no accountability, difficult to get in contact with. What's the point of saying you're bonded and insured if you dodge people and show no accountability when your chosen carriers ruin people's vehicles and you stick your customers with the bill. I would never trust them or their judgment.

Priced and Bait.... Originally quoted $700... Invoice was for closer to $1200. Person didn't provide accurate information at any point along the line. Didn't know when the car would be picked up, didn't understand the shipping process and didn't provide information along the way. Good news was that I had the shipping company's number and they were very responsive. I typically provided your agent and her manager with shipping info. The transport company was actually excellent and there were no damages to vehicle.
I've shipped cars previously and this was by far my worst experience. No excuse for not communicating, falsifying the price quote and providing bad information. I get it that the price can be a little variable and not guaranteed and there is a little wiggle room in delivery times, but had I not had the number of the actual carrier, it would be a total bust. I typically don't comment on bad experiences as I understand sometimes things don't go as planned, but this is a case where the representative was poorly trained and the supervisor when she called was abysmal.

I will never recommend or use Amerifrieght or Buya transportation to anyone. Sarah ** was my representative from Amerifrieght. What a rip off. Jack from Buya was very inexperienced at handling motorcycles. He wanted my help to push it up onto his car carrier. There wasn't a safe way to do it so he came back next day with a truck, two more guys, and some 2x4's. Still needed my help and didn't know to put bike diagonally to make fit. Strapped bike down with it on kickstand. When he arrived at location with bike, I had not gotten there yet. A friend received bike. All looked good and it went into garage.
Later I found out he took off windshield and handlebars and shipped it on the back of a pickup, up on his car carrier. I have pictures of all these events. Sarah called and asked how shipment went. I hadn't rode bike yet as my gear was still packed, so I went to move bike to barn. I discovered there was no front brakes. Completely gone. Called Sarah and all I got was crickets. No call back. I had purchased the gap insurance. I then called my insurance company and turned it over to them.

The only thing I was unhappy with was the fact that the AmeriFreight representative did not return my call after the car was picked up. I had a question but he never called me back. I cannot in good faith give this company a good review as I had such a terrible experience with my driver. Damage was done to my vehicle, lading Bill was doctored, and their insurance literally did not answer their phones to address this issue. While I know that this company is not responsible for the driving aspect, it is imperative that you vet who you broker for as this experience has left a terrible taste in my mouth. Initially quoted 1,800 dollars by Amerifreight, It ended out changing to 2,300 on top of $1000 in final damages to my vehicle all because I was matched with an non vetted dishonest towing company.
When I called my rep to voice my concern, The only answer I got was "We don't have control over who drives for us". I was literally scammed with no option for recourse. Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? You would if you had my experience, as everyone washed their hands with fault as soon as I had any issues. It's that due to everyone else's neglect the customer has to suffer.

The driver was unreachable the day of pick up and the process of having to transport my vehicle to another location for pickup and delivery was even more problematic. The driver did not want to pick up at my home. The arrival and delivery time kept changing. I received my vehicle in parking lot at Walmart 11:45pm. I was in a new state and unfamiliar with the area carrying a large sum of cash - it was not in comfort zone. WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. Do NOT use them. I am not exaggerating when I say that my experience with AmeriFreight was the worst experiences with a company I have ever had. If you do not want to read the entire review, essentially they ended up charging nearly 2x the quote, I had to meet the driver at 3am, I had to call repeatedly to get ahold of anyone, they were rude and it was just terrible all around. Makes Comcast customer service look like waiters at a 3 star restaurant.
I got in contact with them weeks before I needed my car shipped and they assured me it would be picked up in plenty of time. Well a week goes by...no word. I call and cannot get ahold of my agent or anyone else. After days of calling, I finally get ahold of someone and they tell me that the agent I was working with was no longer at the company. So I got a new agent (glad I kept calling).
Finally there was an offer to pick up my car but when AmeriFreight charged my card, my bank flagged the purchase (which I immediately approved). Instead of running my card again or calling me, they just canceled the pick up...then a second offer several days later but they miscommunicated with the driver and then it was too late. Finally a third offer to come get the car and AmeriFreight gives me the number of the driver and dispatcher and then ghosts me so that I have to negotiate how the car is picked up. When I expressed my frustration to the AmeriFreight employee working with me, I was yelled at and hung up on. After I negotiated the pick up/drop off BY MYSELF, I still didn't hear from AmeriFreight for weeks! Then they had the audacity to text and ask how it went weeks after. Never one apology or anything. DO NOT USE AMERIFREIGHT!!! Save yourself the time, money and headache and use someone else!

4. During those 2 weeks, no communication from Great Silk Road company. You get to hear their 'Allah O' Akbar' outgoing message no what which time you call. I thought my car was stolen and was about to put it a police report.
5. To add insult to injury, I receive email from Jeremiah two days after the car was delivered, telling me that after lot of follow up they were able to determine that my car had been delivered. No shit. Aren't you supposed to be on top of these things?
