    I was very pleased with AmeriFreight. I cannot say enough about the drive. He was outstanding. This was a 3,000-mile across-the-country move and we didn't do it perfectly timed. I drove a U-Haul across the country because there were things like artwork that I didn't want to be damaged. It took me five days. It took them about four days, and they waited for me until I got there. They had other deliveries to make, so they made it all work out great. There was contact all the way through. It wasn't like I had fingers crossed and saying, “I hope this works.” I give AmeriFreight two thumbs up.

    Dealing with AmeriFreight was a little bit confusing because I worked with a couple different people. The person who I spoke to on the phone was Jasmine and she was great. But a person named Cosmo sent me some emails and text messages. When my car was picked up, the person who did it was really great and communicative. Then, it wasn't being shipped for 7 days and it had to sit in the storage area there in Seattle before it shipped. At the time that it did ship, I was not notified. But that wasn't great, because I had no idea what was really going on. I had to call the day after it had already left Seattle, which ultimately was okay, but it would have been nice to know when it was leaving.

    After the car was already delivered back to New York, Cosmo texted me but I was not very comfortable answering the text messages because it was from a random number. He said that that was his name but there was no way for me to verify that. And he was sending me a survey that he wanted me to fill out about him but it was a link and it was from this unverified number. So I blocked that phone number. And he never sent that to me by email, which I would have felt better about, because the email address that he did send an email from said AmeriFreight in there and had an email signature. So it seemed a lot more legitimate.

    It was seamless with AmeriFreight. I had set a date then found out that I needed to ship out my car sooner than that. I contacted my point of contact, and we changed it. We got an offer the next day. The pickup point was at a hotel that was close to me in Boston. I didn't give an address in San Diego for the drop off so we left it open. The driver ended up getting there five days earlier than expected. Normally, people would be super jazzed about, but I wasn't in San Diego yet. I had to have him drop the car along a road that I thought would be safe. He sent me a video of where he hid the key in my wheel well.

    It wasn’t a good experience with AmeriFreight. It’s showing in my contract that they should have picked up the vehicle in front of my door and dropped it in front of my door as well. But my car didn't get picked up in front of my door. I had to take it to the street and take an Uber to come back to my home. The delivery was on time but the location changed a couple of times. There was a miscommunication. I had to walk from the airport. I walked 30 minutes with two luggage. I’m fine to walk five minutes, but not 30 minutes.

    It worked fine with AmeriFreight. I spoke with Cindy over there, and she explained the process. She was coordinated. A lot of the other stuff was just back and forth quotes over the internet. I liked the personal attention that Cindy brought to the process. You're putting a $30,000 vehicle on a truck with some guy that you don't know so it's nice to at least have some live person that's saying, “Call me if you need anything, and I will help you and help you follow up.” It made me feel more comfortable with the process. As for the delivery, the Toyota Tacoma truck was one day behind the intended delivery date, but that was because they had a flat on the trailer. The Lexus RX 350 was right on time.

    Setting up the transport with AmeriFreight was very easy. They were very professional and checked back a lot. We kept in touch the whole time between the account manager, then he connected me with a truck driver, and there was communication through the whole process back and forth. The driver would call me during the trip, telling me where they were at. He gave me updates. So, it was very comfortable.

    The pickup point was in California and the drop-off was in Texas, Austin. The car arrived faster than I thought and it was in good shape. There was road dirt, but no damage of any sort. They were able to come to the home too. They drove a semi down the street and it's a regular residential neighborhood. The turns were not too tight, and they pulled the car right in the driveway. Zero complaints.

    My experience with AmeriFreight was very smooth. It was quick to find a vehicle transporter and the rates seemed fair. The car was transported quickly and without damage. Two minor feedback areas—first, I gave a target time period for shipping and explained I would be out of town prior to that date, but my first quote/match came through for transport about a week early. Second, the contact who the car was getting picked up from didn't hear from the shipper until the morning of pickup. It would have been helpful to hear from them earlier so the pickup contact knew what time they should be expecting them to arrive, given that it was a workday. Overall, however, I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight to others looking to ship a car cross-country.

    If you have never shipped an auto before there is a process that you should REALLY research before you ship anything this way. Amerifreight and all other companies like AmeriFreight are simply "brokers". They ship nothing themselves. They place the job on a Bid Board. Make the final choice of carrier to ship your goods, collect several hundred for their involvement and as soon as they are paid, they are done with you. You are then in the hands of the actual shipping company the middleman choses. This is where some of these reviews complain of changing prices. There are actually two different companies and two separate fees involved when shipping your car or belongings this way.

    We had used Amerifreight once before and it worked out. Our second try was not handled very well. We will use neither Amerifreight or Ca Auto Express (actual shipper) again. A critical piece of information you should get after payments, is the driver's contact number. In our case our daughter and a friend were going to have to drive two hours to retrieve her car, as there are some places shippers won't go.

    We made half a dozen or more contacts to CA Auto Express, and a couple to Amerifreight to get the driver's contact info so we could confirm a mutual time and date to meet in advance. We wanted to prevent the 2 hour drive having to be made in the middle of the night, or cost my daughter and her driver a day's wages. Amerifreight's response was "talk to the shipper." As noted we did that numerous times and were told no problem. You will get a 1-2 day notice of arrival date. The transit from LA-Mia took almost 12 days.

    Last night (Sunday) at 9:00 P.M. we got a call from the driver telling us he was in Mia and ready to drop off the car. Now. So two of our daughters had to get a car and drive on a dangerous road 2 hours each way in the dark, late at night to meet the driver in a strange area and take possession of her car. Not once in almost 12 days could anyone call the driver and have his arrival time provided to us at least 1 day in advanced. She had obtained her cashier's check in advance or I don't know what would have happened as it was a Sunday night.

    Do yourself a favor. Find an actual shipper if you can, cut out the middleman, otherwise get EVERY piece of information before you make the deal. Better yet drive it where it needs to go yourself. All we asked for, and could not get, from anyone involved was one phone call from the driver or someone giving us a one day notice. Apparently that was too much to ask for a roughly 1800 dollar job. Even at today's prices $1800 buys a lot of gas.

    It was easy to get a quote from AmeriFreight and it was easy to schedule the pickup and delivery too. Probably the only thing that I could criticize is the amount of time that it took to get the load secure. They put it on a board and the drivers respond and say they’ll take that job. From the time that I submitted all the information to the time that we had a driver to pick up the load, it seemed to take longer than I had anticipated. But otherwise, everything went great. We had a vehicle picked up in Atlanta and shipped to California and the total price to ship it was cheaper than what I could pay one of my guys to fly to Atlanta, get in the truck, drive it to California and fly them back. So, it worked out good on my end. The final cost was a little bit different from what the original quote was when I put it in online but it was still very affordable. It was fine.

    Everybody was very responsive. I started off with one rep, and then it seemed like I was dealing with another rep, and then somewhere in-between, I ended up dealing with another rep. So, at the end, as we were trying to get things scheduled, there was a little bit of cross-communication. One rep was asking me questions, but I was answering that same question with another rep. They were not communicating on their end. But that got resolved with a phone call very easily and quickly. So, it was no big deal.

    I had the worst experience with being told they found me a driver for the dates I requested. He showed up 2 days early to pick up my car and when he called me an hour out, he never introduced himself. I asked if because he was picking it up early if he could drop it off on or after the 2nd (my requested day) and he seemed as though he never received that info from Amerifreight. He confirmed he could drop it off then.

    On August 29th (4-5 days early) when we were in Colorado, he called saying he was an hour out and when I told him nobody was there to pick it up and that he agreed before to drop it off on or after the 2nd, he said “No no. I have to be in New York that day.” I told him nobody was in North Carolina to receive my car, to which he suggested I review the car when I get here. I asked where my keys would be if he did that and he said in the mailbox. We are moving across country - we don’t have a mailbox yet. He then said he would just LEAVE the keys IN MY UNLOCKED CAR. I don’t know who would agree to that. Luckily when I called my friend who made the same move, she had gotten in that day so she was able to receive the car and keys. Turns out she had the same driver but paid $300 less than us for the exact same, horrible service.

    All through this, I was never able to get in contact with Brandon with Amerifreight who was supposed to be there if I had questions or concerns. Amerifreight said that the company they worked with would call me about my experience but of course they never did. I blame Amerifreight for lying about vetting their drivers and ensuring everyone is on the same page with the transport dates.

We had a bit of a hard time with the Matson Port. So, we were having to communicate with the driver and the driver's company in order to work some things out so that they would release the car to our driver.     AmeriFreight's initial bid online came in lower than a lot. Then when I spoke to them, I was expecting it to be a lot higher and it came in pretty much only a couple of hundred dollars more than they had originally said. It was pretty straightforward. Their rep said, “Hey, this is what is the process and we're going to put the bid out there and then we'll let you know when we have a response.” I got one the next day.

    They were supposed to pick the car up, originally, on a Saturday, but it ended up being a Sunday. I had to call and say, “Hey, do you have an idea of when it's going to be delivered?” They weren't exactly sure yet. Then I got a call the day before saying that the drop off would be between 1:00 and 5:00. I just responded to a text, saying, “Can you let me know so I can arrange a time to go get it?” They texted me like an hour before and let me know that they were probably 30 minutes away. I was able to go meet them.

    They pulled over in front of my house area. I live in an apartment, so it had to be up a hill. So, they were just on the main road. They pulled over, and I met the guy. He didn't speak a ton of English, but my fiancé speaks Spanish, so that made it kind of easy. I just paid him in cash and he gave me the keys. I inspected the car and I was on my way. I would highly recommend others to use AmeriFreight because it worked well for me. I always have been cautious to refer things, but I had a really good experience. So, I wouldn't have a problem saying to give AmeriFreight a call.

But once the trucking company was assigned to me I could not get the rep to respond to emails or phone calls. It was pretty bad. But the guy who came to pick up said we have more than 100 pounds in the car and he asked me to pay him $100 more in cash to cover for that. The pickup part was a surprise because they said you can't take 100 pounds in the car. We weighed everything but the guy just looked at it.     I called AmeriFreight to get quotes and the rep provided it to me. Then, she listed the vehicle. Once she found a company that was willing to take my vehicle, she gave me a call. I had two separate transports and the first one was from our old house to the new house. She was great but I had a problem with the lack of communication from the guy that transported the car. Also, I didn’t feel like I got the best rates.

    I was the person at the pickup location and my husband was here for the delivery. My husband had three cars with the same person and mine was a separate one. So, it was a whole another guy. The guy who came for the first three cars inspected the vehicles and he was okay. The only problem I had was, he wanted to get the vehicles a day earlier. It was fine with me. But when it came to us receiving the vehicles, all of a sudden, he had so much to do. We did a favor for him and let him pick the vehicles up early but he couldn't reciprocate that when it came time for us to get the vehicles. They got here a week early but we weren't here to retrieve the cars. So, we had to wait until he was available for us to get the cars. And between that time, there was no communication with him. I had to text him. But overall, the experience was cool. It wasn't a total bust. It had nothing to do with AmeriFreight. It was the carrier.

    I got a quote online from AmeriFreight and the rep called me back quickly. I had a little bit of confusion at the beginning. I didn't realize that it was gonna be closer to the date of the actual pick-up that they were gonna determine who the carrier was. But everything went good. I knew the price was gonna be more expensive than what was on there due to the inflation and even just the change in the fuel prices over the period because the diesel prices went up over a buck from the time I got the quote till the time I picked up the car, which was gonna change the price significantly. But it was estimated, so I understood that that was what they were going at the time of the rates. It was a little bit more expensive but I had already anticipated that it would be.

    AmeriFreight set me up with a particular person and they had a scheduled phone call with me. Then, we emailed a bit. I had a question one day and I called but that person wasn't available, so I talked to whoever was available at the time. Also, they were in a different time zone than me because I was coordinating in terms of a specific time. But everyone I talked to was very helpful. I didn't expect to hear anything from them in between but I had been told by AmeriFreight that I would find out that I was gonna get a pick-up on one of two days and that I would be contacted the day before to find out which one. And I didn't hear on the first day so I knew it was the second day.

    I was given a window and the reps were there in the window the next day. They gave me the bill of lading and told me to call a number if I had any questions. I didn't have questions but I was worried about a bunch of other stuff so I did. I got a text message that they were arriving the next day and it was gonna be early. Then, they texted me updates from Ohio the day before, and they were there the next day. They were not able to bring the vehicle to my door. I'm in a narrow residential area so I met them at a service plaza. It was the closest station off the highway to my place. So, it wasn't more than a mile or two, which, considering how far I am from a freeway entrance, wasn’t bad.

We thought the driver was going to pick up at our house, but he told us the last minute that we had to meet him somewhere where there was a big parking lot. We had to scramble to get the car over there and get a driver to bring the car. So a little warning that we would have to meet the driver somewhere would have been good.

    Other than that, they got my son's car to California a couple days early. There was, however, damage to it. The windshield got cracked, which they warned us about, and we took out insurance for it. The driver called me as soon as he got the car to California and told me about it, but we still haven't gotten reimbursed for that. So the insurance experience has been God-awful.     Crystal **’s incompetence resulted in an extremely stressful moving experience costing $1,000 more than what I was quoted.     Once we got a carrier in place, everything went fine with AmeriFreight. Everybody was very friendly, helpful and responsive. The thing that I thought was a little bit odd but wasn't bad was I set up a thing with an initial person and then I talked to that person for a while. Then the next day, a different person called me. 20 minutes later, a different person called me. I tried to call back the first person, and five other people called me. Everybody was so nice that I didn't have a single bad experience, but it felt like people were not communicating with each other to the point where I was like, “Why are you calling me if you don't have the information?” It's not really helpful as a customer if you have to start from the beginning or explain something you already spent 20 minutes talking to somebody about. I'd rather have just waited a couple of hours to hear back from the original person.

    Everybody was clearly well-intentioned, but it felt very inefficient to me because so much time was spent starting over at the beginning of explaining things. It felt kind of inefficient the way that I was talking to all these different people. Instead of 50 phone calls from AmeriFreight, I would have been much happier if I just got like 10 phone calls during normal business hours. It just didn't feel like great communication.

    The rep that helped set everything up was very nice and pretty informative. If she wasn't there, I talked with somebody else, which was totally fine. I had one concern and it wasn't the major person I talked to. The woman I talked to reassured me some things and was really nice. Sometimes if they don't think the trucking company can get to your location, they will have you meet them somewhere, which we did.

    We knew to set a date for the pickup but sometimes, that can change even the day or two after. I was told that after the fact. I understand that sometimes things come up and you have to be flexible. We were lucky because we got a call the day the car was supposed to be picked up, at 10:00 am, saying, "Can you meet me in an hour in such and such?" I was lucky that my husband was home because I could drive the car there, but how do I get home? It would have been nice to have a little heads-up with that because thankfully, we were here to do it. AmeriFreight works with so many trucking people. What happened was not an AmeriFreight's issue because they did what they were supposed to do.

    The car was then dropped off at my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's house in California. The drivers did call my in-laws one day to see if they could drop the car off on that day and they made arrangements for a different day and for somewhere else. That was fine. I just thought it would be normal to give somebody a heads-up like that. On the whole, the car was fine when it arrived.

I wasn't sure if I'd find another one so quickly to come get my car so, I just went with the price that they had quoted the second time around. The original quote I was told was 1,350 but I ended up paying 1,700.

    The person picking up my car had my cell phone number and when they called me, they told me when they were going to be 30 minutes away. Then, they told me a location to come into because I live in a residential area. It was going to be a tight space for them. So, I just drove my car four blocks to where they were located.

    The carrier was great but I wouldn't use AmeriFreight again because I feel like they advertise at a very low price but in small print, they also tell you that they're a broker and they're offering the lowest price but the carrier has to agree to it. The final bill turned out to be as high or higher than the other freight prices that were more guaranteed. Also, I could never get in contact with my supposed contact. I always had to call AmeriFreight directly. He was always out to lunch. Then, I wanted to leave the offer and try to get a better offer and he just wanted to get it over with. I felt like he didn't work very hard for me at all. He barely would discuss it with me.

    The rep was able to answer the questions. Gave a call back and let me know what the coming steps were. So, he was able to answer questions and email me the information. There were two drivers - one that picked it up and brought it to a central place, and the main driver. The initial driver who picked the car up was good. And the only problem was the main driver, who drove it across country, his truck had a mechanical problem. But I didn’t know that until I had to contact them near the day they were supposed to be there. So, there was a little miscommunication there between AmeriFreight and the driver.

    It affected the delivery date by four days. Stuff happens. But they were doing an open transport across country. So, that was a long haul. Also, I figured I would get some bug splatter, but the car must have been in the front the whole way across. If the car would go 2,000 miles across country, and you got that front position out of the 10, they should throw on a piece of plastic. It took me an hour to scrub that off.     Overall, my experience with ABF was completely positive. It was delivered and placed by a very helpful driver, who also returned to pick it up. There was a problem that came up with getting the invoice emailed to me with the payment link once the trailer arrived in St. Louis. I had to call in a few times, and wait a couple of days - somehow something went wrong in that step there - the trailer could not be delivered to our St. Louis address until the invoice was generated and paid. However, once that was straightened out, and the invoice was generated and paid, the dispatcher guy in St. Louis, (Sam?) acted quickly to arrange delivery before the end of the day.

    The driver (I wish I remembered his name!) who delivered the trailer was EXTREMELY helpful. He assisted me by removing the bulkhead. The trailer was full and the bulkhead was placed right at the end. There is no way I could have done it without him. He also put in a call to send out a loading ramp which was delivered later in the evening so that everything was ready when the people we hired to unload the trailer arrived the next morning.     Communication was very prompt and professional, but it also seemed like there was some tendency for internal miscommunication across the different reps/system- if you can, just try to get ahold of your designated rep to avoid any confusion about what you actually want/parameters since it doesn’t seem like notes/updates get tracked properly in execution. Carrier was fine and car transported without any issues- just note that at least the carrier I got was not actually “door to door”, but the driver was amenable to negotiating an appropriate location that was only 10 min away.     The dispatcher called me a few days prior and said they would be picking my truck up on Friday (24 June). They did not show up Friday and when I called them, I was told they would not be there until Saturday (25 June) but that it would be before noon because they were in San Diego (35 miles from Oceanside, where my truck was to be picked up). When they did not show up at noon, I called again and they said it would be 3pm before they’d be picking the truck up due to traffic. A few hours later, they said the wouldn’t be there until between 7pm-10pm because they were in Los Angeles. …In order to get to Los Angeles from San Diego, you have to drive through Oceanside, where my truck was at, because I-5 connects the two cities and runs through Oceanside! They did NOT show up at 7pm and instead texted at 8:12pm to say they wouldn’t be picking my truck up until Sunday (26 June) now but that it would be before noon. That was also not true.

    They were not late delivering my vehicle however, I waited/wasted Friday evening, all day Saturday, and until 2pm on Sunday waiting on Jana to finally come pick up my truck. I’m not upset that they picked it up on Sunday. I’m upset that I paid more for the "economy saver” than I did for the “1st class” option, which was $1000 higher than Amerifreight quoted me as the starting bid, and then I got the run around and wasted an entire weekend for the two Marines that who helped me drive, and already work VERY long days with little time off.

    I chose Amerifreight because another Marine friend of mine recommended you and because of the great ratings your company has but this experience was beyond frustrating. What did I pay Amerifreight for if they aren’t going to hold the carriers accountable? I could have contracted a carrier directly, myself, since Amerifreight didn’t get involved with the 48+ hours of the carrier leaving me waiting in a parking lot for that long. It would have been considerably cheaper if I did.

    My first experience with Amerifreight, only two weeks prior to this when I paid the “first class” option to have my Yukon moved across the country went very well. I planned to continue to use Amerifreight because of that experience however, this last experience with them was unacceptable, especially for a repeat customer who spent almost $5,000 with them in less than a month.

    I am an active duty Military member out in South Carolina, and had my car picked up from Souther California. For starters, they did not offer me any type of military discount, which was EXTREMELY disappointing and a waste of money. I had other carriers offering me $1300 to do the job, yet I was charged $2050+ with Amerifreight. When the first man came to pick up the car, the company worker was JJ Transport, he was very unprofessional. He had left with my car and didn’t bother to make sure he had my key. When I had called to let him know he didn’t have my key, he was very rude and made it seem like it was my fault. Respectfully, as someone who’s been doing something for years, you would think he has a mental checklist to go through before taking off with the customers car! I drove an hour and a half to deliver him MY key and I was on military Leave, so he wasted my time and my money.

    When I finally delivered my car key, I let him know the key ignition cylinder is very gentle, and this where the bigger issue arose. When I had got the car finally delivered in South Carolina, when I went to start the car, I couldn’t turn the key into the ignition. It took me about 3 minutes to finally get the key to turn in the ignition, and I had known it was completely the drivers’ fault. I called ameri freight to try and see if they could help me with the cost of fixing this issue, but they were ZERO help. I spent an additional $80-ish on extra insurance, yet they still couldn’t help me, nor give me at least the money back from that insurance which was completely useless! Such a scam. I spent $700 to fix my ignition lock cylinder, and they didn’t help me whatsoever. Never again!

    I absolutely hated my experience with your company and I would prefer a phone call follow up to further discuss my experience. My broker Robyn was completely incompetent. She me the initial price quote of $1250 and said she’s never seen the total go more than $200 over the quote. My total ended being $1875. I asked about 100 lb weight limit in the car as I was very concerned about this and I asked if they weigh the car or my stuff, she said they as long as I don’t put heavy bricks or a tire in, it should be ok. She also said I could fully Fill the trunk and as long as bags are placed without being seen above the windows. I followed all of instructions and was charged $100 for the stuff I put in the car anyway. Lastly, she gave the driver the wrong info about pickup.

    I was called 24 hours prior to the planned pickup day and the driver said he was 10 mins away. I was completely panicked because I had asked for the next day. The driver canceled on me because of the mixup and I couldn’t reach Robyn for an hour during this problem. Someone else from the company had to rebook me. I have no idea what Amerifreight did for me and why I had to pay you guys a fee. I wish I went right to the supplier and a skipped using you altogether. She told me she talked to the carrier who said late evening Thurs or Fri morning but that he called me with almost no morning for early Thurs morning pickup.

    My transaction with AmeriFreight was pretty smooth. Pickup in Green Bay to drop-off in Big Lake, Minnesota took about 24 hours and the driver called me a couple times. He let me know that he picked up the car then he texted me to let me know when he anticipated coming. He was pretty much on time. He also texted me when he was here and I met him outside. The quote I was give was very accurate, but I was very understanding with the cost of fuel. The quote was 800 and I paid 1,100. I knew that the initial price they gave me was an estimate and that there was a good chance it was going to change. But I didn't know it was going to be that much more. In the beginning, AmeriFreight's rep offered me if I wanted to pass on a bid. She said over the phone that she was getting a few more bids and they were all very similar in price. So I would suggest that anytime that they give somebody a quote, they should up it by a couple of 100 because of gas.

    The overall service was pretty good but AmeriFreight should make a better way to get in contact with the people that they're hiring to do the actual delivery. At the end, the driver was three days late. I had a car transported from Florida to California and the he said that it was going to take five days but it took eight days. AmeriFreight's people didn't do much about it. They told me that I may call the driver but when I'd get in contact with him, he didn't answer any of my calls or texts for two days which was annoying. But the pickup was okay and the delivery was quick.

    We chose AmeriFreight because they had a very thorough description of their process on their website and explained a lot of details on how the process works and what their commitment to the customer was, and that was all good. Everything was very organized on the front end and there were no issues with the pickup. The driver was on a carrier and I didn't realize the car was gonna get there that fast. It was a little bit of a surprise. It would've been nice to have an update 24 hours out because I got a call as the car was being delivered to my sister-in-law's house. It didn’t give me any opportunity to give them a heads up that it was coming and then adjust their work schedule. So, that wasn't ideal.

    The day prior, the carrier should give a courtesy heads up that vehicles can be delivered the next day. Then, the tricky part was that the carrier didn't speak pretty much English. So, that made that a little bit awkward trying to get that communication. It ended up working out okay and he had a friend that got it translated for him. But it was a little more challenging than it probably should have been.

    The particular carrier took the electronic method payment from the checking account, which was great and very helpful, because I didn't have to coordinate a cashier's check with my sister-in-law. But there's a daily cap that she can transfer and I didn't know that until I was trying to pay for the service. I ended up having to break the payment up in two days because of that daily cap. So, it was not anything to do with the carrier but something probably that the company, AmeriFreight, and/or the carrier should be aware of so that's not a surprise to the customer when they're trying to pay for the service. Overall, they did a nice job. The process and transparency were very strong.

I waited at home all day for the call, and nothing. On Saturday, I stayed close by my home waiting for a call, and again, nothing.     I shipped my new 2021 Honda Gold Wing from Vero Beach, Florida to Lowell, Massachusetts. When I went to pick my bike up at the shipping facility in Lowell, I noticed a badly damaged exhaust heat shield. This chromed metal heat shield was damaged with a great deal of force, and yet, there was no notation that the damage had occurred. I photographed my motorcycle before it was shipped, and when I received it. I was put in contact with the insurance company, but can only communicate with them through email. I repeatedly asked for a phone contact number, but was not provided with one. My bike is currently awaiting approval for the heat shield replacement.

    Attempted shipping two cars, only one shipped. Quote for the one shipped was $200 less than what I actually paid. Quote for the second was $600 less than the only offer made. Decided to not ship my second car (Toyota Corolla) as it became cheaper for me to fly back and drive cross country than to pay $2000 to have it shipped. Rather use Sherpa next time, which I had used in the past. Their costs are higher, but at least what they quote you is what you pay. Sherpa eats any fluctuation on the cost.     I was happy with the transport and the carrier. The AmeriFreight broker agent was good though there were a little bit of delays in communication. I had to go back and forth with Fast Freight carrier. They were supposed to pick up my car that week but I hadn’t heard from them. I asked if they could pick it up on the 28th or 29th of April. They just showed up and gave me a 35-minute notice on the 28th of April. I was getting my stuff picked up at the same time so I mistakenly thought it was my stuff getting picked up, and not this other guy trying to pick up my car. He was loading it on a regular one-car carrier to take it to the yard. They did a detailed inspection or found ** on it that I've never even seen on my life on my car. That was nice.

    The carrier broke down in South Dakota along the way, and they still ended up only being a day late, which was pretty good. I didn’t hear from the driver until the day before. He said he was gonna be there in the morning. He ended up being there at 7:20 in the morning. I was concerned about inspecting the car fully before I took receipt of it and sign my life away. Because of the way he parked, I ended up having him drive the car to me. Then, we took it over to the side of the road, and I inspected it. He was nice. I talked to him a little bit and checked out the car. It was dirty, but nothing was wrong with it. I ended up paying a little more than the quote said but gas prices shot up like crazy.

    Because the car was in brand new condition, I wanted a company that would ship it to me and have it covered. I called AmeriFreight, spoke with a wonderful lady and gave me all kinds of assurances. We had a wonderful conversation. She said, “Absolutely,” and she would put the job out there for somebody to put a bid on. A guy came along and put a bid on it.     Terrible Trade Practices. Was quoted $1330 to ship a car from Ohio to California. Talked to agent on phone and she assured me the price wouldn't go up. Since I was under a deadline to ship it, once I committed to the price verbally, 3-4 days later they come back with $1950. I had no choice but to ship it as the timeline to move was approaching. A week earlier I had another quote well below the $1950 they charged me from another company. This was a complete bait and switch. My back was against the wall and unfortunately I couldn't make a change. Just as in other complaints that are filed against them they will attach the contract. What people fail to realize is the verbal ** they submit to you in order to hook you in. I will be pursuing this with the ftc as well. Terrible trade practices. Also customer service and communication was awful.

    Customer service from AmeriFreight's end was very good. Since it was my first time transporting a vehicle and I wasn't entirely sure what I was supposed to do most of the time, I had questions throughout the process and whenever I called, I always got a response pretty quickly. I always had somebody who knew what was going on and gave me good information too.

    The pickup went perfectly fine. The company picked up on the day that they said they would and gave me a good heads up and good location to drop my vehicle off at. With the delivery though, that turned into a different issue. My vehicle was scheduled to be delivered May 5th. From two to three days after they picked up the vehicle, I kept getting calls, back-to-back, about them trying to deliver the vehicle that same day. I got calls on April 30th, May 1st, and May 3rd and they asked, “Hey, can you come pick up your vehicle?” Even though the one I paid for, it was supposed to be dropped off on the 5th.

    On May 5th, the actual delivery day, they almost did not deliver the car. It took me arguing back and forth with the company because there was a delay with another delivery they had. I was trying to convince them, “Hey, you need to bring it. This is what we arranged.” The car that they were delivering to me would have been the only car that my family had for a few days.

    Originally, they were supposed to come at 2 o'clock in the afternoon then a guy called me and said, “Hey, it’s gonna be a little bit later,” till 5 o’clock in the afternoon. It gets to about 7 o'clock, and they still haven't called me back. I called them and they said, “Hey, give us a little bit of time.” 8 o’clock at night, I called them again and they said, “Well, this is gonna take a long time. Can you just get it delivered the next day?” That would not have been possible. I had a rental RV that I drove across the country with, and I needed to return it because I was getting charged a grand for keeping it an extra day. They ended up bringing the car, but it was almost 12 o’clock in the morning.

    The delivery driver who dropped off my vehicle made quick work of it and it was an overall pleasant, productive interaction with him. He didn’t seem annoyed that he had to come and drop it off at 12 am. Overall, pickup and delivery were both very professional. Working with AmeriFreight, they always kept me informed and they worked with me pretty well. The initial offer I was given to transport the vehicle, I said, “Hey, those dates don't work,” and I was able to get a secondary offer pretty quickly.

    Once I submitted a request, somebody from AmeriFreight got in contact with me right away and the guy was very professional as well as knowledgeable on what to do and where to go. He gave me a lot of numbers and helped me find the best deal. Once we found a good deal, then we went with it. I had a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro transported, and it took a week and a half. There was a lot of communication the whole time between pickup and delivery, constant feedback on where the car was at and what was happening. Overall, the quality of service is really good, and the cost was fair. It wasn't cheap and I wasn't getting a smoking deal by any means, but it wasn't gouging either.

    I called Amerifright in early February to get information on shipping my car from Allentown, PA to SLC, UT. I spoke with Lecia ** and she seemed as if I was bothering her. I decided to call back the next day to speak with someone else instead, but by that point Lecia was already my “contact” for my account. I told Lecia that I need my car in Utah no earlier than March 12th. She confirmed. She then called me on February 14th and told me that there is a transport ready to pick up my car and they will have it there by February 20th. I told her again, that I need it there no earlier than March 12th. She told me that she will put me in the system to start searching on March 7th and it will get there no earlier than March 12th.

    March 5th rolls around and I still do not hear from her, so I call the company to ask about my car. Turns out, she was OOO the week of March 7th and never communicated this to me. Better yet, she had my earliest pickup date for my car set as March 15th - when I repeatedly told her that I need it there March 12th or soon after. Since she was OOO, I spoke with two other representatives who were awesome. They changed the information in my account and were able to help me with my car. They continued to help me throughout my entire process and it was great.

    Never heard from Lecia ** about anything UNTIL she texted me twice, asking me to write her a 5 star review - saying that it would really hurt her if I wrote anything less. She honestly doesn’t even deserve 1 star. She did absolutely nothing right with my account, and made this entire process extremely stressful. I am SO thankful that the other two women were able to step in and help. I would like this situation to be addressed, as I would hate for someone else to experience this. I have never experienced someone do their job so poorly.

    I checked with AmeriFreight when I shipped a vehicle in the past, and I ended up using somebody else. When I went to use the same company I used the first time, somehow AmeriFreight got my information, or when I filled out the broker thing, it got sent to them. I was at Disneyland and had to sign this contract via phone, so I wasn't able to really check up on anything. I signed the contract with AmeriFreight somehow. I was a little confused on how it all went down, but they shipped the vehicle and it got there fast. That part was really good. The lady I worked with was good too. The drivers were Russian and didn't speak very much English, but minus the communication barrier, everything went really well. They loaded it fast. When they were doing everything, I could definitely tell that they knew what they were doing, which was good.

    I reached out to AmeriFreight and then found out that they were an aggregator and I got a better understanding of how this whole process worked. I liked that the initial communication was very clear and then I understood what we were looking at. If other aggregators are competing against myself, AmeriFreight at least took the time to be thorough. Also, they had really good reviews online and with the BBB. So once I started working with them, I didn't feel the need to look for anybody else. We had a good experience.

    The final cost was about $300 more than the initial quote. It was a substantial amount. But this car had been at the dealership for so long and it was in Rolla, Missouri. It was not in the easiest place to get to. So I figured the final cost was gonna be more. The driver was really good and gave me options. He picked up the car on a Tuesday and delivered it on a Wednesday, from Missouri to Virginia.

    Once the driver got close, he texted and let me know he could either drop off the car at 10:00 at night or first thing in the morning. I told him, “What's gonna be easiest for you? ‘Cause we're all awake, and we're ready to do this.” He said it would be easier to do it that night. It worked out well. He also told us that he would let us know if he was running a little late. We had a delightful conversation with him. The car came very well packed. The battery of the car was dead during transport and he jump-started it. We drove it all around. He made sure we were all okay. Our street was really narrow and he was flexible in how to figure out how to get the car off in the safest way possible.

    The AmeriFreight rep explained on the phone everything I needed to know. They were very good. But it was a little bit deceitful because the quote was 3,200, but it got bid out at 4,200. They didn't tell us that the quote is really worthless because the drivers do the bidding. But the driver was very competent. I would recommend AmeriFreight for sure.
