No STARS would be the appropriate choice. They are crooks!!! Would not recommend to anyone especially if they are having a hard time because a car from them will drag the hardships until you're out of contract with this company.. I work in customer service and best believe I've made it a point to tell people to avoid this place.

The most recent car I am financing from Car Mart is horrible. I have had it less than 3 or 4 months but in that time frame I have put in roughly 8k dollars into it personally to keep it running. One thing after another. Will be my last vehicle from them.

I want to warn anyone and everyone that I've experienced 3 engine replacements in the past 7 months and this most recent time (second engine) which the mechanic kept my car for over 2 months and I racked up 300 a week on car rentals. Just for CAR-MART to give me my car back and have the same issue as before! I hope as you read this you know that this company is horrible!! They have no compassion and with 3 engine replacements (rigging my car) the Gm "Travis" refuses to put me in another vehicle just to repeat this engine scenario again as of today! So as I write this just know if you would like to work your ** off and throw your money away for a car that doesn't work part of the year than this is the place for you!!
Had my car for maybe 3 days and tried to tell service manager that nobody fixed anything and same issue with car! So here we go on 3rd engine replacement and it's when it's convenient for them. Keep in mind 500 deposit for rental car plus 300 a week on top of my car payment which is 250 every 2 weeks. Yes I'm still required to make payments while car is on 3rd engine replacement!! If anybody is reading this please stay away from this place. Literally a nightmare this GM has no sense at all!!

I purchased my current vehicle from Carmart of Meridian in late June or early July of 2023. I initially went to Carmart to purchase a vehicle and had my eyes set on a white 2015 Chrysler 200S. During the test drive, I noticed the vehicle was vibrating while idling. When I brought this issue up, the saleswoman was dismissive and visibly irritated. Instead of addressing my concerns, she got the general manager involved.
After speaking with the general manager, she assured me the issue would be taken care of and gave me a voucher to have the brakes checked, which was only valid for a week or two. However, I informed her that the problem was not with the brakes but with the heavy idling. She continued to insist that it would be resolved. I then had an issue with the cost of the vehicle, and after some haggling, the general manager told me they would lower the price by a couple of thousand dollars. Believing that the vehicle would be fixed, I signed the paperwork, provided my down payment, and drove off in my new car.
Ongoing Issues and Unresolved Repairs. A week after purchasing the vehicle, the check engine light came on. I called Carmart, and they directed me to their maintenance department. However, every time I called, I was either left on hold indefinitely or, when someone finally picked up, they immediately hung up without speaking. After numerous failed attempts to reach them, I decided to drive to the dealership in person to report the issue.
Their maintenance technician checked the code, cleared it, and assured me the check engine light would not come back on. However, the very next day, the light turned back on. I went through the same frustrating process of calling repeatedly, eventually driving to the dealership again. Once more, the technician simply cleared the code instead of addressing the root problem.
This pattern repeated for weeks. Each time, they would clear the check engine code, and within days, it would return. On one visit, the technician told me the vehicle needed a new O2 sensor but still did nothing to resolve the issue. Whenever I tried to escalate the matter to the service advisor, I was met with no response or indifference.
After weeks of persistence, I was finally told, “We are looking into it; we will contact you when we find a resolution.” This was just weeks after I had purchased the car. I waited for their response, but it never came. When I called back, I was given the same runaround—left on hold, hung up on, or met with a rude attitude.
Recall Excuse and Continued Delays. Eventually, the service advisor told me that the car had an active recall that was likely causing the transmission problems and that completing the recall repair would resolve everything. She assured me that she would schedule the recall appointment and call me with the details. I waited for months with no response. Tired of waiting, I decided to call the repair shop myself, only to find out that Carmart had never contacted them about my vehicle.
I scheduled the recall on my own, but because the repair shop was already backlogged, it took additional months to get the car in for service—something that could have been avoided if Carmart had scheduled it when they initially claimed they would. When the recall was finally completed, the check engine light remained on, and the same problems persisted. Once again, I went through the endless cycle of trying to get a hold of someone at Carmart, only to be met with indifference.
Warranty Denial and Out-of-Pocket Expenses. Recently, my car started overheating, an issue covered under my warranty. I immediately contacted Carmart, but as always, I was met with delays and rude customer service. After three days of continuous calls, I finally spoke with the service advisor, who asked if I had the car diagnosed. When I told her I thought Carmart would handle the tow and diagnosis, she responded, “No, we don’t do that.” When I asked which repair shop to take it to, she told me to choose any shop and then abruptly hung up. Confused, I called back, and the receptionist—who was extremely rude—told me that Carmart did cover towing and provided me with a tow company’s contact information.
I had the car towed to a reputable repair shop, where they diagnosed the issue: broken heater hose connectors, which had been previously repaired incorrectly. The repair shop informed me that this was something that should have been covered under my warranty. However, when I contacted Carmart, they told me that because I had the repair done at a shop outside their network, they would not cover the cost—even though I was explicitly told I could take the car anywhere. As a result, I was forced to pay out of pocket and missed three days of work.
Corporate Involvement and Payment Disputes. Frustrated, I contacted Carmart’s corporate office and explained the situation. They opened a case and told me the GM of Carmart of Meridian would contact me. The next day, the GM called, apologized for the issues, and promised to get my car fixed. She even offered to take the car back and put me in a different vehicle, but I declined because I had already paid nearly two years on this one and did not want to start over on a new loan. The day after my car was repaired, I called Carmart to request a one-week payment deferment since I had missed work and paid for repairs out of pocket. I was told that it was not possible, even though it had been done for me before.
Then, I was blindsided by an additional charge—a “seasonal payment” that I had never been informed about. When I asked what it was for, I was given conflicting answers: first, they claimed it was to help with my down payment (despite me already paying $2,000 upfront), and then they changed the explanation to, “It helps people pay off their vehicles faster.”
I called corporate again, and they told me that seasonal payments were meant for people who receive tax refunds. Since I owe taxes instead of receiving a refund, they advised me to tell the dealership so they could waive the fee. However, when I relayed this to Carmart, they refused, with my account rep stating, “Corporate doesn’t run this place—our GM said everyone has to pay, so everyone has to pay.”
Final Thoughts. Carmart of Meridian has provided nothing but poor service, broken promises, and misleading information. I have paid $6,528 so far ($251 every two weeks) and still owe $12,092.63, bringing the total cost of the vehicle to $18,787 at 16.5% APR—for a car that is worth only around $5,000. This is my second vehicle from Carmart, and I was on time with nearly every payment on both. Yet, when real issues arose, I was met with nothing but delays, rudeness, and dishonesty. It wasn’t until I contacted corporate that Carmart of Meridian even pretended to care.
They are now hounding me about a seasonal payment that I was not informed of until this situation started. Stating that I owe them several hundred dollars and that they are going to tow my car. i have only been one week late and that is because of this situation yes they threaten to tow my vehicle. Their handling of my situation has been completely unprofessional, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I got a 2014 Ford Focus titanium hatchback from the America's car-mart in Montgomery Alabama and I have only made two payments on it and the transmission went out on it. The company called me and they told me that it was going to be replaced. My car has been sitting outside the mechanic shop for almost two weeks now and they still have not worked on it. Also the company says that it is their policy not to give loaner cars. I have given them 1700 dollars so far in payments.

Carmart is hands down the worst place to purchase a car if you are looking for a reliable one, what they do have, is great customer service and quality workers but fail to explain the car's value and what it needs before selling, car vendors in Durant has given me information about the cars I looked into in great detail while Carmart fails to mention smallest flaws in the cars they sell. As I know car salesmen do what they do and not every one is truthful about what they give and take but they are worst at working with people when it is a place of getting a car with bad credit. I highly suggest buying a car from a stranger one on one than going to this place as that stranger is probably more truthful and honest about what they are selling and same goes for cavenders in Durant! Good luck with the experience you have and I hope anyone that goes there has a better experience than I have!

Car Mart in Corinth was the worst experience! I financed a car! Not even 2 days later it just wouldn’t crank. Not to mention I never even got at tag for it. So after almost 2 weeks without a vehicle, and calling to check on the progress of fixing it, almost 2 weeks later the final answer was they couldn’t fix it. I was reimbursed and put in a different vehicle that wasn’t any better. I didn’t even have it long enough to pay a note. It had a power steering problem and transmission was overheating, But wanted me to pay the remaining balance of the second bad vehicle I was put in. I will never go back.

I am 59 years old and I have bought a lot of cars over the years and I can say without a doubt this is the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. The seven day 100% satisfaction is a joke. They were not willing to help me in any way with things that were wrong with the car, just wanted those seven days to end so that I had to make payments. Called the regional office, they never got back with me either. If you look at how many 1 star reviews they have compared to anything else it should tell you all you need to know. The st joseph Missouri car mart will ignore your calls when they don't feel like speaking, will sell cars out from under you even when money is placed down on them, they don't work on your cars like they say they do when they have them in their possession, they will have you waiting in the lobby while they sit at their desks eating pizza and scrolling on Facebook. Hello I am Lisa and I want to share our experience. I first was told that we were buying a service contract and was able to use it. Well that is fine right? No because when you your used like lemon car actually starts falling apart then guess what you don’t use the warranty. They tell you it is expired after they tell you it wasn’t. They tell you because the person who answered the phone was not the service manager their words were if you didn’t hear it from me it is no good. So I try to be nice and after his man plaining to me I hang up and call the 800 number to be over talked, told my husband who is on the contract has to be here and I can’t do anything.
I try to tell her I know this because I spoke to the other employees all week when Chris the service manager was not available all week, when not one call got returned and I had to return them. I said that is why my husband who works out of town is home today and it was to take the car in and get the papers signed and have it fixed. He took off to do this. He is going to leave Monday at 3 and not be back for two weeks. She then spoke over me again and again. When I ask her to hear me she refused. Then she hung up on me. Yes corporate hung up on me. I am very upset and I am very angry. They do not provide id numbers and they not help you unless they want to which is never.

I tried to purchase a car, and I waited near the entire day, thinking that I was approved for the car. I went on a test drive with one of the cars. I purchased car insurance. I found out later that I wasn't approved for the car AFTER I purchased car insurance and went in the office of one of the assistant managers. The full-coverage insurance was $350.00. I needed that car to get to work since I work at night and the job was 2 hours away! I was in the office; they printed the paperwork and called the underwriters LAST. By the time I wasn't approved, it was too late, and I had to call my job and let them know that I couldn't make it to work. I had to call the car insurance company to cancel the policy to get my money back which will take a few days! America's Car Mart didn't realize the importance of my situation and I may have lost my job because of their actions. I will never go back there again!

This place takes advantage of the poor people and those who think they’re an honest dealership, I looked at three different vehicles here and every one of them were 5 to 10 thousand over book. They also charge an average of 20% interest on unpaid balances. Then they stick with you with a warranty that’s basically worthless! Plus they want to stick you with a pay-off insurance but if you read the thing it only pays off if your vehicle is 70% damaged! Trade-ins are only worth dollars on a penny to these crooks. I could not sleep at night if I took advantage of people in the way that these soulless people do. I thought the law would protect consumers better than they do but then again this is Arkansas where we have no political leadership. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I purchased a vehicle last year (2023) thinking I was getting something bigger and reliable for me and my kids and I’ve been having problems since I said, "Thank you, smh, y’all really need to close all CarMarts if this what people are paying for trash vehicles with our hard-earned money." Well, I’ve tried to be so understanding with any understatement then they just done ordered all used parts to fix my truck and I’m still having problems but I’ll never purchase nothing else and I’ll definitely not recommend. The vehicles look good but they are fixed till you drive off the lot in them.

On August 2, 2024 we bought a car from America's Car-Mart in Paducah. On August 7, I took the car back to them because it was smoking. I was told they had switched out the engine before selling it to me, and that it was just leftover oil and was fine. On August 10, I broke down going down the highway. It is October 5 and I still do not have my car back. We’ve been told excuse after excuse including they’ve apparently put in a new transmission 3 different times now. We’ve been told on multiple occasions that the manager is “too busy” to talk to us.
They’ve promised to call us back and have not. Even corporate emails have gone unanswered. We’ve still been expected to make payments or it’ll be reflected on our credit report that it is late. 1st payment was $600. The next two were $505. $1,610 for a car we do not even have, and to a company who is too busy to call us back. We’ve specifically been dealing with the manager Eddie **, who does not return phone calls to us when we leave him messages.
Please please share and keep anyone else from using this horrible company. Keep your money! It might seem like an easy way to get financed, but because it comes at a cost! I’m done playing nice. I had to cancel my daughter’s birthday party because I did not have a reliable car, and now I’ve missed the chance to say my final goodbyes to my grandmother. And yes I told them this, I begged them for a solution. The only help they offered was we could “come in and apply for a 14 day extension if we were having trouble making the payment.”

I got my car in October 2023. After 10 days of having it, it started messing up. I was extremely unhappy due to the 7-day return policy, I was told there is nothing that can be done besides pay even MORE money, $90 to get it diagnosed, then have to pay a $75 deductible to have it fixed by Car-Mart. A 7-day return policy for Car-Mart cars is not even remotely enough time to determine if the car is a good fit, let alone a good car at all. So, had no choice and got that fixed after already paying a bunch of money to get the car in the first place. Fast forward to early 2024, the battery starts messing up. I bought a new battery and it seemed to be alright. Then, a month or so later it stops working again and realize the cables were loose to the battery. So, then fixed that. Again, won’t start so I’m thinking it’s the battery.. get a new battery because of the warranty.
Anyway, here I am again on my way to work this morning and my car won’t start. Not the battery this time I don’t think, because it’s had 2 batteries and the cables tightened. So, what is causing the battery to be drained? I’m not sure. I called the Car-Mart in Broken Arrow (where I got the car) and they are the absolute rudest employees I’ve ever dealt with. I would say even more put out to help and worse than the tag offices. Which is NOT how they were when trying to sell me a car. I was told by the receptionist that if it is the alternator or possibly the starter it is not covered under the 3-year service warranty. I called at 9:30am this morning and would be told I would get a call back. I have yet to hear anything from anyone. I would absolutely NEVER recommend a car from Car-Mart. I feel absolutely taken advantage of from someone who struggles living paycheck to paycheck, and always pays on time. Every time.
I pay WAY too much money for a 2015 car that is constantly not working. It is absolutely appalling how you all conduct your business. I was warned about Car-Mart and still gave them a chance. Here is your sign to not get a car from here. An email was sent to customer service Aug 26th, like the general manager told me to do. We have been playing phone tag for a month now. I have requested a designated time for us both to call and they have refused to do that.

Seeing that this location has a 4.6 rating, I hope my experience was a one-time deal. I bought my car in May and it started running hot in August. Since I purchased the extended warranty, I had to pay for a diagnostic from a certified mechanic and then $75 to have the mechanic of their choosing fix my car. When I got my car back from their mechanic the first time, I took it on the highway and my coolant started to boil...I only drove it for 10 minutes. So, they towed it back to the mechanic.
When I got it back the second time I drove it a little further because I had a 7-hour drive planned for the weekend and I wanted to test the car out. Not only was my coolant boiling but there was smoke coming from under the hood and when I turned the car off the fan kept running for a good 5-8 minutes. So again it was towed into the same mechanic.
At this point, I was done and decided I am not going to keep this 'lemon'. When I called to let them know, I was not offered another vehicle or even an apology for the problems I was having with the vehicle I was sold. I do not at all recommend purchasing a car from this location. There were a couple of people there that treated me with dignity and Kudos to them. But the people that should have treated me with dignity didn't care enough to do so. Worst car buying experience EVER!!

Took the tire off and it had a crack in the rim that had been welded and put back on the vehicle so I took it to them and they welded it again the same crack which you don't suppose to do weld on a rim. Sure they basically approve anyone. But for a lot of money. What you get you pay twice for what it’s actually worth. The most recent car I purchased is slowly falling apart. I purchased it not realizing the washer fluid reservoir was completely cracked it half. I called and the GM said no worries, we will replace it at no cost to you (as they should) after 3 weeks and me having to call them multiple times and follow up because I was told over and over “first thing tomorrow morning” my appointment day finally arrives because the week before I was told they had the part and set an appointment. I show up for my appointment (missing work might I add) and I’m told they never received the part from Car Mart. They had to wait until 9 am to call CarMart when they opened. So I left to go back to work. Car mart told the shop (when they finally were able to get a response) that the part would be sent over that morning. It didn’t show up.
So the shop calls Car Mart yet again and apparently the part has been “misplaced”. I’m guessing just like every other time I talked to them he was lying. I’m guessing it was never purchased to begin with. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. So luckily the car shop was great and ordered the part themselves are going to contact me again to set up a new appointment next week. Car Mart in Harrisonville MO is definitely the worst communicating, don’t care about the customer - just the money, unprofessional, most frustrating car dealer I’ve ever had to deal with. Not looking forward to the next 4 years being stuck with them and their huge price tag.

I called the site and the manager BRANDY TOLD ME she put the tow order in that morning because of 35 DOLLARS. After I literally paid 350 DOLLARS THAT MORNING they never contacted me, email or nothing, even after I gave them my number multiple times on a prior occasion.
While on the phone they were very spiteful and patronizing when their whole pitch is that they are “understanding” and “keeping people on the road”. And now they expect me to be able to pay 400 DOLLARS to a tow company that’s 50mins away from where I stay because of “miscommunication”. How is that fair at all. I am a STRUGGLING college student. I’m not getting help from anyone, no parent, grandparents, etc. and when I would try to explain my situation they literally hung up in my face. I really hope Karma come around on them this is HORRIBLE and a borderline SCAM.
Update: I had to keep calling to get towing information. I first contacted them around 1:50 and didn’t get the towing information until 4:13 the towing company closes at 4:30, charges by the day and is almost an hour away from where I’m staying and close. So even if I could muster up the money I still wouldn’t be able get my car and would have to wait even longer, all over 35 DOLLARS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS. I needed a car, and they were willing to finance me after I'd been sick and had credit issues. So, yes, I did appreciate it at the time without knowing what I was getting into. There wasn't much of a selection in the parking lot to choose from (some of the cars I test drove were in ridiculously questionable shape), so I tried to select the one that was the least dirty, had the least body and mechanical issues, and had the least stench of cigarettes. The sales rep was nice, and I appreciated her help, but that's about it. Don't mean to sound ungrateful, as they were willing to work with me. But that's about it as far as I will offer gratitude and compliments.
There was no offer to clean the car up of its disgusting cigarette stench. When she handed me a key and I asked about gas (the car was on empty, just gas fumes), she went around to the back and got a beat up 5-gallon gas can and poured about 1 gallon of gas in it. Cheap and miserly! That defines Car-Mart! I drove the car to the nearest gas station and was keeping my fingers crossed that it wouldn't run out of gas. It took months to get rid of the cigarette smell. Changed the cabin filter, scrubbed and sprayed the interior over and over. It was wretched. The filth I pulled out of the fabric and carpet was disgusting. There was gunk and gook in the vents.
I had to be a few days' late on some of the payments. I have had health issues and explained to them that I don't get paid for sick time. They begin to harass you with collection calls. I had to deal with the same hateful lady every time. She'd threaten to ruin my credit score and would tell me I had to drive 45 minutes to their office to set up a payment plan. Every. Single. Time. I don't think so! Not if a payment was 3 days late!
I wish I'd never, ever bought the car from them. I am turning the car back over to them and to heck with how it affects my credit. The car simply isn't worth the hassle and stress. And the price I would have paid for it would have been outrageous. It should have sold for about $5,000, at best, due to its age at being over a decade old. No, the car was over $13,000 and had over 120,000 miles on the odometer! The cost of the car, plus financing, and any repairs that would have been required on it made the car not worth the price tag! I had expected service after the sale would be great. Nope. Not when reality hit!
You may have better luck than I did, and apparently some do. I make every effort to be understanding and pleasant in my business dealings and obligations. But this car, and the outrageous price they charged for an ancient vehicle was not worth it. I've known a few others who bought cars from them, and they regretted it very much.
They will install a device on the car to disable it if you get behind in payments, as well as GPS, to 'protect their investment.' I had stopped driving it months before they did this. Every day or so I'd go out to crank it up so that the battery would not go dead. HA. One day I went out and saw the device hanging down under the driver's side dashboard. OK...I understand why they did it. But now, it has been sitting for months just waiting to be picked up. I can't return it due to health issues. PROCEED WITH CAUTION IF YOU ARE DESPERATE ENOUGH TO BUY A CAR FROM THEM! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Replaced the altenator a month after I got it. Just now got it back for front differential repair and it's still making the same noises. Asked for an invoice to prove that they serviced it and the lady literally said that they don't give invoices, yet they made me get a diagnostic report before they would even service it. I've been on hold with 7 phones with America's Car Mart home office. The line holds for so long and then it's disconnected. This company sold me an unsafe vehicle that was deemed unsafe by Highway Patrol. I expressed my concern with keeping the vehicle 7 days. I was denied a different vehicle even though it was within my 7 days. This car lot sold this vehicle needing tires, brakes AND pads. They did not disclose that they put a different motor in the car. Their own mechanic accidentally told me a new motor was put in it. Then asked for me not to tell car mart he told me that. It needed rotors, shocks. Check engine light has been on since 2 days after I bought it. The heat is stuck on and on high. The car dies driving down the road for no reason. The camera is upside down. The touchscreen doesn't work a lot of the time. It has electrical issues. Exhaust leak. It had a busted windshield that was in my view.
They did finally replace it 3 months later. I purchased the vehicle in April. Nothing but trouble out of the car and worse trouble out of the staff. Extremely poor management. Tanner and Aaron have no business managing anything. Car Mart has a reputation for screwing people over in Hot Spings. Wish I would've known before I purchased a lemon.

Worst mistake of my life!!!! Purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima from the Valdosta, Ga location. The car ran hot in 11 days!!! I called Car Mart to make them aware. Was told to drive the car to get a diagnostic. I was like the car is running hot!!! I did just that!!! Took it to a Firestone location. Diagnosed as needing a thermostat replaced. I did notice that posted everywhere in the shop are signs stating, “We DO NOT perform oil changes for Car Mart, if you would like to have the service done it would have to be paid out of pocket!" I was like, "Ok what is up with that." Spoke with Firestone concerning this because of course that’s where I got the car.
When I spoke with them about it, I knew it was going to be an issue!!! Anyway, so I called the service dept and spoke with Evan and he stated that they don’t trust Firestone and they will have “their” mechanic diagnose and repair. I knew then that it was going to be a problem, especially after speaking with Firestone and their issues with Car Mart. I was then told to bring the car back to Car Mart to sign the service contract and to take the car to Renita at American Rent-A-Car. Unbelievable!!!
They want me to continue to drive a car that is running hot!!! I did just that!!! It took 2 weeks to get the car back!! “Their” mechanic diagnosed it as a faulty reservoir. Not!!!! The car ran hot 10 minutes after getting it back from them leaving me stranded on the side of the dark road for 6 hours!!! I am a disabled breast cancer patient that can’t sit that long. I called CarMart back immediately and was told to have the vehicle towed back to Renita the next day. Now as no surprise, the engine is blown!!!
Fast forward to today 05/25 and the car is STILL at that shop and I’ve been promised this vehicle since 04/02. They have had the car so long since purchasing that the registration has expired!!! The temp tag was 6 weeks out!!! I’ve filed with BBB, called corporate, and reached out to GM. Nothing!!!! I asked for a trade and was told that it was past 7 days so they couldn’t do that. I was also told that if I wanted something else I would need to do another application and be approved for two cars!!! Plus an additional down payment!!!
I asked to have the vehicle taken to my own mechanic and was told that I would have to pay for repairs myself!!! When signing paperwork I was told that the vehicle could be taken to the mechanic of my choice, but apparently that’s not the case!!! I am so over this company and their lies and lack of communication!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people!!! I don’t know what happened to the old management but these new people are ridiculous and it won’t be long before this company is out of business!!!

Is there a 0 star rating capability on here? My husband bought my son's FJ Cruiser there. Looks like a great ride BUT the frame is rusting into. They refuse to acknowledge this fact and keep saying that it drives okay and is mechanically sound. We found out when trying to get the AC unit fixed, the motor mounts and steering column are rusting into. The shop told us to refrain from driving it because it is a severe safety hazard and should have never been sold. My husband has tried numerous times to explain the problem to Nessia but she refuses to deal with it or accept it. They said they could replace the noisy CV joint and fix the AC. Now they are threatening to repo and put it on my husband's credit. My husband and son both have MD and can't deal with this stress. I am afraid they will sell this same life threatening vehicle again to some other unknowing buyer and that person could get seriously injured or die in that vehicle. Definitely buyer beware!

Fast forward to May 10 I received my car back and EVERYTHING was missing including my kid's booster seats, my floor mats, steering wheel cover, and even all of my leasing paper work and my license plate.
America’s Car Mart has been uncooperative this entire process. They have lied about numerous things including the mysterious disappearance of their camera footage and not being there when my car arrived even though one of the employees called and confirmed that it did. I was also told by another employee that someone may have thought the car was totaled and my property could be locked in a room at their dealership. This gives me no other reason than to think they were responsible for this whether it was stolen or thrown away by THEM. This is one of the most difficult situations I’ve ever experienced dealing with a “dealership”. They won’t even admit they’re at fault for this situation but rather lie and gaslight me. One of the worst experiences of my life.. We bought a Jeep Commander 2 years ago. It wasn't in good shape when we first got it, but we didn't have a choice because we really needed a vehicle. And for the past 2 years our Truck has been going back an forth to you guys shop for the same issue that needed to be fix. Now a months ago we had to bring it back (this is the 4th time), and after 2 days of paying the car note we get a phone call saying that our Truck was AOC, and that you guys would put us into another vehicle, but we wanted to get into a vehicle with the same price (and car note) and 1 more year left (because that's what we signed the contract for the truck, we signed a 3 year contract). We had one more year on the Jeep. Now we're being told they can't do that. But we still don't have the truck and we getting calls every damn day asking for a car note this month.
Now why would I pay for a car note on a vehicle that's not drivable and not in my possession anymore and still at your partner mechanic shop. I'm not doing that. I haven't had that jeep in over a month. And I've already purchased a vehicle somewhere else that's brand new... I don't need you guys services. I don't have the Jeep any more, that you guys have. I'm not paying for a car note on a vehicle that's engine completely gone. You have possession of it. You can have that Jeep. I didn't get the help I need in the past 2 years when I did have it..
The mechanics didn't even fix it the first time, the second time or the 3rd. I told y'all the last time I talked to y'all, too stop contacting me. I don't have the Jeep anymore. I'm not in possession of it. Y'all wrote the Truck as AOC, then turned around and lied and said (and I quote) "no we said we were going to write as AOC and put you in another vehicle". But y'all wanted me to start over. I don't think so. That was not in the contract when I purchased the Jeep Commander. It was a 3 year contract, and I would have been done paying it next year. I'm a disabled veteran and I've never been treated as such. I have nothing else to say, but wish I never did services with y'all again. The first time I did services with y'all was in the 90's... Like I said before. I'm not paying a car not on a vehicle that's no longer in my possession, and completely non drivable because the engine is gone.

Car-Mart’s response has been unsatisfactory, leaving me without a vehicle for three weeks and no estimated time for repair completion. Furthermore, I am now shouldering a $500 weekly expense for a rental car, as Car-Mart has not provided a loaner. This situation is made worse by the fact that Car-Mart seems to have a pattern of selling cars with transmission issues, particularly to customers with low or bad credit. Their business practices appear predatory, preying on those who have limited options, and I caution potential buyers to consider this pattern before purchasing from them.

They tell me it would take five business days and then call back today and they would have my money. Well guess what? I call today and they told me it could be another three to 10 business days. Well why didn't they tell me that in the first place because they're liars and they know my next payment will be due by then. I have been in a negative balance for two weeks and they had no care at all because of their mistake. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I would walk before I ever call Car-Mart again!

The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable, so no complaints there. But the office staff and management was 100% incompetent. I financed the car I bought myself through my bank rather than going through Car-Mart and getting raped on the interest rates, and they were completely unprepared to deal with this and had no idea how to draw up the paperwork. After I waited for over an hour while the finance guy behind the desk tried to write out the paperwork, I had to return to the store on more than one occasion to sign stuff they had screwed up. When I went to the DMV to get the car registered I found out that all of the lien paperwork was wrong, and I had to go back to Car-Mart AGAIN and get them to fix that.
But none of that is the worst part. When I bought my car from Car-Mart, I traded in my old car and Car-Mart agreed to pay it off. It has been over a month now and they still haven't paid it off. My account is now past due and I'm worried that it's going to affect my credit, but Car-Mart cannot give me any answers as to what's taking so long.

Customer service is not their top priority at Car-Mart. They seem to prey on people> This company willingly buys cars with serious mechanical problems and sells the cars $3500 above market price as per Cynthia because of covid. While pressing people to buy their protection and service contract. I and my friend Nadine went to Car Mart on 11/22/21 I was met by the salesperson Mason. We tried 2011 Dodge Caliber. I test drove the vehicle. The rear end sounded bad. It sound like it was getting ready to fall out; so we test drove 2013 Nissan Sentra. It drove ok on the short test drive. And they stressed I need to get a service contract or protection plan. I took it home and proceeded to drive first thing. I had to put air in all the tires then I drove around town. It started jerking going up or down a hill. I brought it back and asked did they have these vehicles checked out before they sold the car as Lacy stated no. They don't have a mechanic on site.
They then let me test drive a 2005 Cadillac Deville and heavily stressed that I needed to purchase a service contract which I did. They did not tell me the price till I was filling out the contract. They stated it was 8,999 for the car. I asked why so high. They said everybody overpriced their vehicles. I needed a car so I sign the contract with the service agreement which was 999.00. On 11/30/21 I called back. I have an oil leak and the display for the tire pressure, mileage is completely wrong.
I talked to the General Manager Cynthia. She stated I am not able to get into another vehicle but I could bring it in and they will fix it. I asked if I could cancel the contract. She said yes but I would not get the refund back. Now even though I have a seven-day satisfaction guarantee they said since I brought back the Nissan I can not return the Cadillac within the 7 days as the satisfaction statement says that it is no longer valid. I believe they have false pretenses when they sell these vehicles and press people to purchase the protection plan and service agreement especially if they do not have a mechanic to check the vehicle out and believe they are price gouging on these vehicles.

Well we had it for 2 weeks and the motor went out in Birmingham AL, called car mart of Florence to see what I needed to do about getting the car back to their shop to get it fixed. Because I paid the extra it’s supposed to cover towing and all.
Well they tell me you have to get it towed yourself to the nearest car mart which was in Cullman AL. So I call my insurance and got the car towed to the closest dealership which was Jim Burke Birmingham AL. That’s all they would cover is to there. So I told them what happened I was driving down interstate and the car just shut off and won't do anything. They tell me the motor went out in it. Luckily the car had a Recall and they put a new motor in the car but if it wouldn’t of had the recall. I honestly don’t know what would of happened. Probably been out of pocket to fix it myself the way they acted about it. Jim Burke paid for my rental car and kept my car 28 days installing the new motor.
Car mart has been helpful when it comes to the payment. If you can’t make it or something they will help skip a payment or whatever they have to do to help you on it. But when it comes to the car you just bought from them breaking down they act like they don’t give a damn. Even with the gold package that you have to pay extra for. I believe it’s 3 years or 36,000 mile warranty. That’s supposed to cover things like this so you don’t have to worry about it if the motor does go out or if it breaks down for some reason. That’s why you pay the extra money to help in situations like that. Well they was not helpful at all. Jim Burke was very helpful and so thankful it had the recall on it. I Give car mart 3 stars because they are helpful in some cases and was very helpful when it come to buying the car and the down payment. Other than that they are horrible when it comes to getting your car fixed that you just purchased from them.

They have sold me a car for 17000 plus interest plus contract fee. The final amount came to 25 thousands. After only one month I found the same car with same year model condition and mileage listed in several dealerships and online for the average of 8900.
Not just that they failed to inform and disclose to maybe hid in purpose that the car has been in accident and damaged front to rear, after I took the car to do full inspection I found that the car has several serious issues, 5 codes. One is related to safety "air bag does not work" and the rest related to engine transmission and brake issues. Just to make sure I pulled out the history of the car and found out that all the codes my mechanic told me about are been listed in the history of this car in between the years if 2013 to 2019 and the car has been in bad accident.
On top of all the manager is Very rude, very unprofessional and it's total scam. She couldn't make difference between I have got free consultation from a lawyer and I have a lawyer. I told her that the lawyer advised me to reach to the manager 1st to try to solve the problem. If they refuse we will consider other options but because she is not qualified for that position she just couldn't understand that simple issue and denied that she knows anything about the car history and blamed it on the company. At the end she stood and asked me to leave without offering any kind of help.
I tried to address this matter to get in civil manners and she told me to call customer service number. Very rude, so unprofessional.. I did called the customer service and filed complaint and they promised to open an investigation. I'll wait and see and I'll update this review as soon as we see the results of that investigation.
This place intention and goals not sell you a car but make you stuck with bad deal and unsafe, overcharged car so they can repo the car, sell it again in auction and go after your paycheck and garnish it for the rest of the money. The bait they use is low down payment and no credit check but once you stuck you have two options pay for bad car or get your paycheck garnished. It's just a trap.
But I advise everyone not to fall into that trap and if you already have been in it just file complain with company. If they don't solve your problem you can sue them without a lawyer in small claim court for up to 8 thousands dollars or seek legal assistant from lemon lawyer or file case with consumer protection office. And if they ask you to make good review just wait until you need them to see if they really deserve it. The manager will ask you immediately after you buy a car to go and write good review about them. Just wait and and see if you really got good deal and if they really gonna help you when you need them. Most of the good reviews here are not real and made by friends not from real experience.

Couple months later, started experiencing issues and I told them as they asked me to per my service agreement. Anything I asked about was "not included in the service agreement," attached to my car note so I had to deal with it due to not having extra money. I applied for unemployment in July for being laid off from my job and still have never received anything till this day, and I told them that. I went ahead and got other jobs trying to keep up with my payments that I had to make every 2 weeks, which I did and because of my car issues and lay offs I wasn't able to keep the jobs and I told them that.
I get another job last month as assistant manager for Sonic in Standiford Plaza making decent money and By this time I'm having to carry around a jump box to get me back and forth to work so because of the issues I was having I eventually was fed up having to leave so many jobs that I asked my boss to remove me from the schedule so that I wasn't fired due to my car issues and he said when I get another one I could have my job back because I enjoyed my job and work hard for everything I have and started working on a down payment to trade in my car. I didn't tell them because they weren't helping me and they kept taking my car throughout this whole pandemic. I knew for a fact they knew my situation because I told them so many different times.
I didn't feel as if I needed to contact them because continuously through this pandemic they would take it anyways even after 1 day of it being late and they knew about everything at this point, the car going down, and the many job switches due to the car and pandemic lay offs. They recently took my car and hit my credit for 8000 and Aaron the manager said that it was because I wasn't communicating. I reported to them several times about issues with my car and that it was causing me not to be able to keep a job which means no money but just to make a point, I made a payment every 2 weeks and have never been over a month late period.
I worked for Ft Knox serving the military before being laid off and tried to keep a job throughout the pandemic but because my car was going down I had no transportation and I told them that. I literally had to jump my car off every time I decided to drive it and I told them that. They said my car was repossessed because of communication issues but they knew everything. This pandemic has put us all in a bad place and to explain that to a money hungry business with obviously no integrity to see the Americans who buy from them who are all dealing with this difficult time, like Carmart but they couldn't see that.
I had to call them a couple times to get they pay off amount for other dealerships which means that they were notified about me trying to trade in a car that doesn't work and They come repossessed my car to stop me from trading it in. Aaron refused profoundly to to give it back to allow me to trade it in. He said it would be auctioned and I would be responsible for the rest which I don't think they even attempted to do. My credit has been hit for 8000 dragging my credit score and preventing me from being able to get another car and I don't think it's fair because I'm the time they held it from my there was a dealership willing to take it even with it's issues and they wouldn't allow me to have it.
Them calling themselves America's Carmart is the biggest contradiction I've ever seen. They're not for America, they don't truly care. If there's anyone else who would like to join me on a lawsuit I plan to pursuit please let me know, I could use all the help I can receive because according to Aaron he's the top of who I can speak to so they have hit my credit for 8000, took my car so it's in their possession, and I'm stuck with nothing but a bad credit score. That's not right. Worst business ever and I'll plaster this everywhere I can to make sure people know because it's sad. Thank yall

My husband pops the hood and starts going through everything. He finds a spark plug that is broke in half. Half in the motor, half laying on it. We ended up having to put $2400 in to that car, when he was able to trade it he jumped at the chance because it still was a death trap.
The newer car is great. Runs good, but he lost his job because of co-vid. So he was calling and speaking to them at carmart. Sometimes we could make the full payment sometimes we couldn't. But he always went in and spoke with them and they said, "We will work with you." He has been waiting 16 weeks for his unemployment to start. He has kept them informed about this as well. The car had a part that needed replaced after 1 1/2 months of having it so he dropped it off.
He calls them a few days later to see when he can get it. Lois tells him he can pick it up on monday if he has $140 to catch up and this week's payment they will do arrangements on. So we get the money together to get the car on monday. He calls to see if it's back at the lot and Lois informs him yes but he will need another $104 on top of the $140, a total of $244 which we do not have. We already are robbing peter to pay paul so to speak so after taking the first car that was almost paid off and knowing his situation took that car as trade on the new car. Now they have taken back the new car leaving him with no car at all and a loss of every cent we have paid on both cars!!!! I will never do business with any carmart again ever. They will lie straight to your face and their interest rate is way too high, run away from carmart if you know what's good for you and don't want ripped off.

This was the worst experience ever. I purchased a 2013 Chevy Spark at America's Car-mart in Valdosta Ga. I got the car in November of 2019. By May the car was running hot, the things the warranty didn't cover I fixed. So I finally get it towed over there to be put in the shop, I had to personally call the mechanic myself to see what was wrong with my car. The motor was gone! So my co-buyer and I went in to the office as instructed by the general manager, he tells me that he will not put me in another car even tho my warranty covers it and if I wanted to get another one I would have to make a full down payment. Mind me my account was up to date and I made my payments in time. To top things off he tells us that he'll just take the ** end of everything so we wouldn't have to go to court to turn around and put a PENDING- REPOSSESSION on my account that's still active. I'm just so baffled by this company.

We bought a 2017 Ford Escape during the coronavirus pandemic. We made several payments on time we started to get a little trouble out of the car that actually started on the way to a funeral. We signed an agreement with them during our purchase that it had a one year warranty or 12,000 miles. We were exactly 600 miles over or 12000 mile limit on our extended warranty that we had on a 2017 car. We had to have the car towed home. We could not make the funeral. It cost us over $200 to have the car towed back home then another $45 to have the car towed to the shop.
It took them several days to get back to us about the car. The transmission was in fact gone in the vehicle. We contacted Car-Mart. Car-Mart said there would be no way that they're going to pay for the transmission but they would work out a side note which entailed the different payment schedule for the vehicle with a different payment plan for the vehicles due to the fact we were going to be responsible for the transmission on a 2017 vehicle that we only had for Less Than 3 months. We had a very high payment of over $573 a month with a down payment of over $1,900.
Do not go to this place and buy a car. If it breaks down they will make you fix it even with a one year warranty. They'll make you pay for any repairs on the car. They are junk. They came by my house today. I left a note on my door to make sure I was at their office by 5:30. I plan on going down there and I plan on giving those people a piece of my mind. After that I'm going to go visit a lawyer - a bankruptcy lawyer - cuz I can't wait to see that repo on my credit because I'm going to bankrupt every bit of it. Y'all stay blessed. Y'all stay safe. Do not visit America's Car-Mart. Thank you.

I Jacqueline ** was writing review and page changed and closed out. Wasn't finished. After Mazda was found to be dangerous to drive by America's Carmart mechanic they had me leave there until they could get more cars. In each time I went to America's carmart was told new manager 5 different managements even employees had been fired. 2 months later given a vehicle dodge journey. Told paperwork would be corrected. Instead more was added to contract after a person from carmart walked onto my property unannounced, demanded I give her old contract and $98 dollars. She then began to degrade my living standards by saying I had stepped up from old location.
Mind you never missed a payment nor was I behind. She cursed me. She came into my garage. I asked her to get out and I went to Sheriff office. I looked in rear mirror. She was still blocking mail box. I drove back to my home and told her that was last warning. She screamed. She park where the profanity she wanted and go wherever. I called carmart on the way. Lady answered. Said she was unaware but she Christy was new manager and person was kathy. Christy told me she would resolve and I had her word. Told me to come to America carmart.
Once I got there no Christy who had me believe she was correcting situation. Once there inside Sabrina who was only remaining employee from 2 years said she was instructed by Christy to fix it by verifying my address to drivers license and have me sign stating information given was true. Once she explained I ask her to let me see what was on computer screen. Sabrina told me she couldn't because it wasnt complete that she needed to ask for help from a young girl I had never seen. This person claim to have fixed problem. Sabrina says, "Ms ** you know we gonna take care of you." So I ask to see paper. She claimed was verification and the person at front desk name Jessica told them she didn't understand what was taking place so she passed me 3 papers with altered signatures, two of which for a cosigner who wasnt present.
She then called the lady name Kathy, ask her to fix. Kathy told her she couldn't fix unless she got papers back from me. I refused because I knew they had lied and coerced me into signing papers to change contract. I confronted Sabrina. She ran in back office. Told me she didn't want to hear anymore. I contacted a financial advisor who found all errors and documents that had been altered. I have lost sleep, stressed, full of anxiety. Call Corporate. Spoke to several people who use same tactics then I received 3 calls from CEO. Mr Jeffery Williams who was going to put everything back into perspective turned out to be another lie. Had two people call me smarting off at me, used no respect nor integrity.
Mr Jeffrey left a long message after I gave him information. 3 managers were aware of these issues and fired after they promised repairs about the repairs and not having a key nor operal key fob and how often vehicle turns itself off and the adjusters in doors locking up and gps tracker operating on starter to engine he would take care of. Again haven't heard from Mr Jeffrey Williams nor Christy. Management something must be done. Found out that papers they had me sign wasnt address verification. The letterhead stated modification two weeks after as though it was cut and pasted on my signature.
I told Mr Jeffrey Williams no one discuss a modification and modifications are for people who are behind on payments. Also they have a so called Seasonal payment twice a year the length of contract supposedly for those who receive income tax. It must be filed through America's Carmart and they take it out once your tax return is sent to them by IRS. And if you are on medicare and Social Security it doesn't apply to you. Well not true.
Americas Carmart added $ 1,000 to contract without my knowledge and a new employee printed placed in my hand and this is how Im aware of this company misleading customers and using deception against low income families and those whom they think don't understand. I'm asking for help. Please Im on Social Security and when I get close to paying off they add money back to contract so you never pay off or they repo. Ive been honest from day one on this car loan. There must be something where a class action lawsuit or something can be put in place. America's Carmart shouldn't be allowed to continue these practices.

Not even a week later and my car died while I was at a red light, yes, at a red light in the middle of the street. I had to turn my car over 3 times before it would start up again. I purchased a vehicle from Car-Mart and they didn't give a crap how I survived or not! I tried to go in and talk to someone about getting my payments lowered to an amount where I could afford it. They talked amongst themselves but didn't agree with what I was talking about! They're just like Walmart (they take all your money). They don't care if you have other bills to pay or not. All they care about is money! The people that work for them are being brainwashed into telling customers what they think customers need to hear! I don't know how Car-Mart is even in business because of how they do people!
They take advantage of people's income situations! They should not be in business because of this practice! They don't work with you on your payment situation! They turn the other cheek! So, if I were anyone in the market to purchase a vehicle, DO NOT PURCHASE ONE FROM CAR-MART! They will rip you off in a heartbeat! P.S they overcharge for vehicles more than what they're worth!

I am writing in regards to the terrible customer service that my family has received from the Woodstock, GA location. We were very please with the initial purchase of our 2011 Hyundai Sonata in May of 2019, however, that quickly came to a hault when we were made aware of the very inside of one tire showing wire. It seemed to be an issue of the tire wearing out unevenly, which we were okay with replacing ourselves anyway. Upon replacement, we discovered not just one wheel, but ALL lug nuts around the vehicle were either completely or almost stripped.
This was July when the discovery was made. We had not taken the wheels on or off in the time we had the vehicle, which would prove that this was an issue beforehand. This has been ongoing, management has been contacted several times and the problem has still not been resolved. I have since stopped paying the payment in an effort to get the attention of someone that will help out in this desperate situation.
The vehicle is inoperable at this time as it has been deemed unsafe for my family, including three small children, to be riding in. I have two payments, ready to be made, but refuse to make them until someone reaches back out to resolve this. We have been told that Wes, the general manager, would contact us back multiple times. We have not heard from him. It is very disheartening that we are in the market to purchase an additional vehicle at this time and this dealership is no longer an option for us.
We had a great buying experience, but the customer service once we left the lot has been less than acceptable. From the time we purchased this vehicle, until the issue was brought to our attention, I referred multiple people. I will not do this in the future. Also, If the amount of energy that was applied to collecting payments (we usually get a call before the payment is even late) was applied to helping customer's remedy the issues they have, this dealership would be a much better place.

Ok I was inquiring about a certain vehicle located at the America’s Car Mart Texarkana location on Summerhill Road. I had been talking to Sales Representatives (a lady the first day but a guy the second day because the first person called in sick) So I make arrangements to come in that evening after work and check out the car, finish my application, and buy the car (provided it was satisfactory).
I called three more times that day after the initial contact from the male sales rep. (advising me that he would be handling my deal because of the first sales rep's. illness). Anyway the last two conversation were with the receptionist because apparently the guy who was supposed to be dealing with me was too busy with other customers to return my call. The last conversation I had with the receptionist I informed her that I was taking off work early and was leaving my job as soon as I hung up the phone with her and driving directly to their location (96 miles from my job).
I did just that and arrived at their location to what resembled something like a second rate bus station where several busses had been delayed or something (people were sitting around looking miserable and willing to except anything just to get out of there, people complaining about vehicles they had recently purchased, etc.). So, I finally get to an office where a lady (yet another person) comes in and informed me that she was not a sales rep but that she worked as the account manager and that she would be the one to take care of me (like I was Livestock at an auction or something).
So, no sooner than we began she had to excuse herself to deal with another customer that was there before me. (I could hear every word of their conversation and he was a very disgruntled customer who had been waiting for hours to see a manager.) When she finally returned (after a long time and to no progress or resolve for the disgruntled customer) she began to herd me on through the process. Finally we stand up and proceed to the door outside for my inspection of the vehicle.
I’m waiting right outside the door for her to come out with the keys when she came out to inform me that I would have to come back two days later when they opened again because (as she explained) the manager had left early and had the keys to this particular vehicle in his pocket. So having no choice I said ok at which point she returned inside and I decided to at least look the outside of the vehicle over to determine as to whether or not I even wanted to come back to proceed with this horrendous transaction. I looked that lot over and over and came to realize that the vehicle I had took off work early and driven 96 miles to buy was in fact not at the location at all. The manager had taken off early and driven the car home for the weekend.
To add salt to the wound the Corporate Executive (that I finally after days of trying to contact someone) seemed unconcerned and completely ok with the fact that I lost wages (took off work early) and wasted my hard earned money (fuel and expenses). He not only failed to offer but flatly refused my request that the money I was out (due to their negligence) be deducted from the price of the vehicle if a deal was made. He had no regard for the working man's welfare. America’s Car Mart owners and executives sits up there in their plush offices dividing up our hard earned money and talks about how they care for us (the customer) and want to make sure we are taken well care of but they are lies. All they care about is lining their pockets with your money. I will never step foot on a “America’s CarMart" parking lot again and I would advise anyone who has sense to listen not to either.

Beginning of October 2019 my car was totalled out and I was in need of vehicle so went to local CAR-MART in my area looking for a gas saver to get to and from work. I leased a 2014 Nissan Altima. I drove fine off the lot, got home and ran to the store. Car started vibrating during drive so I took it back to lot that next day. They looked at it and came to the conclusion I needed a hub bearing which was covered but I had to pay a 75$ service fee. On top of that my rotors were shot because they were grinding. Mind you only had the car a day but that service was not covered so I had to buy the parts.
When I just wanted another vehicle they told me I wasn't able after already putting 800$ down on the car. So after paying service contract and getting breaks rotors and hub assembly replaced I still had the vibration issue so I took it to a reputable shop to have it looked at. I was told the transmission was slipping. Highly frustrated I took car back to car mart with report of transmission. They wanted their mechanic to inspect the car so I went with it. They also said to me, "Yes your transmission is bad." They should have never sold the car like that so then car mart charges me another 75$ service fee on top of my note. Does anyone have advice for me? I would never recommend car Mart to anyone. Please stay clear of car mart.

The sales team requires you to be on the lot before they will give you information on vehicles. Their website is vague with car listings. Mostly stock photos and no pricing. They have a habit of putting you on speaker when talking on the phone, long hold times and do not provide additional information regarding vehicles. When asked why they are unable to give information they did not have an answer. Typical sales tactics. Car-Mart has many lots. Given this ridiculous rule it would require a lot of wasted time for car buyers. Other lots provide general information regarding owner history, whether a vehicle has been smoked in, past use of the vehicle as well as the actual photos of the cars and pricing. I advise working with a different lot that is more forthcoming about the condition of the vehicle and value customers time.

Anyone looking to get a car and you finally decide on car-mart, don't do it. I have bought all my vehicles from this company going on 10 yrs now. Never had a problem with until my wife and I decided to give car-mart of Sherman, TX a try. Well to say the GM if that's what you wanna call him is never there and will never see you nor have never meet with him nor will he give you the time of day. Most used car lots and used car lots give you a month to make your first payment. We were told we had a month to make our first payment, but in the payment schedule they put it to the next two weeks and we didn't know this nor were were even shown. Well payment was due and they made us park the car on their lot until the first payment was made no matter what.
You miss the scheduled payment by one day and they are blowing up your phone hour after hour after hour until you finally answer. But when it comes to having a repair needing done that is within the service agreement, they take their dear sweet time getting appointments made and days upon days in the shop knowing it's your only mode of transportation. But when it comes to payments you better be there that day or make the payment somehow that day or else they blow your phone up as well as your six references as well. Oh and if you send them emails, might as well not even do it because it will never be looked at nor even responded to in any way shape or form. By god if you lose your job or something in your life happens that's out of your control.
They don't have very good customer service in any way. You are just money walking in the door. That's all you are to Car-Mart. MONEY. I highly recommend you go elsewhere for your used car needs period. I lost my job and have told them multiple time via email I have a job and won't be paid until Nov. 23rd. No responses are even given or made back at all.

I am reading reviews from people who are as dissatisfied with their car purchase as much as I am from Car-Mart in Prattville, AL. My husband purchased a car in May and after the deal was made, the owner says, "if anything goes wrong with the car just bring it back and we will fix it." Well the air went out two and a half months after he purchased it. We took it to them and it’s been sitting there ever since. They tell us the air is not covered until the service contract. So, what the contract covers you ask! Only the motor and transmission. Also, my husband states that they did not show him the actual service agreement and what all it covered. Because he would have never signed a service agreement that didn’t cover more than just the motor and transmission. He states he only saw the page that says, "Service Agreement Contract" and that his name was possibly electronically placed by Car-Mart.
My husband states he always signs his name directly on the line, not inches above. To this date, no one from Car-Mart has telephoned him to resolve this matter still. This is a what Car-Mart is saying to customers that are frustrated and haven't had their issue resolved on their Google Review site. Their response reads: "Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We take ALL our reviews very seriously, and I understand that you're not happy with your Car-Mart experience. Please know that we value you as a customer and that your satisfaction is important to us. For us to help, please give us a call at 866-819-9944 and tell us more about your situation and we look forward to working with you to resolve this matter."
Well, you call them, give them more information, and what they do, "Absolutely Nothing” the matter is still unresolved. It's just words for them, they actually don’t believe in giving their customer's complete satisfaction, because if they wouldn’t have these many dissatisfied customers giving them low reviews. Well Car-Mart, you have gone back on your words, "We're Family and that if you have any problems with your car just bring it back and we will fix it." THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND NO ONE HAS CONTACTED US TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER.” Stand behind your product and your words Car-Mart and do the right thing! To resolve this matter for us would be for Car-Mart to refund him his money for the service contract and buy back the car! This would be my solution!!

So they said they would call me when it was ready. I ended up being very late to my own daughter's birthday party. I got a call a bit later saying it was ready and went to pick it up. Drove it home and 3 weeks later the battery goes out again. So I call them and they said that the manager didn't have time to talk to me but it isn't their problem and that they still expect a payment from me. (Ironically my car broke down at Walmart and will not start from there.)
Also the rotors are bad, brakes are shot, rotors are shot, and there was a bad ratio in second gear. Now the new battery has to be replaced also because the alternator drained it. All in all they knew that the alternator was bad and just put a new battery in it. (When they changed my battery they broke my wheel well plastic off and now it's hanging down. You have to go through my wheel well to get to my battery.) If I could give then no stars I would. They prey on people who need a car bad and have no place to go with bad or no credit. I had to spend nearly 1500 to get a rental for my mom for this time, since I was under age to rent on my own and needed a vehicle to get to and from work. When I FINALLY got it back, it sounded okay.... until 4 days later when it began to squeak again... I called and called and they wouldn't call back.
I decided, after 4 days of being ignored, to bring a witness to discuss this in person with them. On the way there, my ball joint BROKE on my passenger side, while driving on the highway, and we almost flipped over. A wonderful stranger helped us tow the car out of the middle of the highway and onto the grass, then I contacted Car-Mart and told them what happened. I called Josh several months later to let him know I was coming to town and he asked when and I told him and it just so happened to be on a Saturday that he was off, he met me at the dealership and replaced the motor himself on his day off!!! Thanks Josh!!!

I was first told I was over by 77 miles but I have found out I am under. I contacted corporate only to tell me I needed to speak with the general manager which is the one saying I’m over. At this point I don't care what they do. I just want them to leave me alone. They will never get another dime out of me. CAR-MART is not the way to go... When I drove off the lot... some AGB light came on, all of a sudden I couldn't pull up my seat anymore, and there were other problems underneath my hood that I didn't even know the name of. I reported these problems and they kept my car for a total of 2 weeks and I still had to make the payments along with the deductible. Along with this... there was a different general manager every couple of months and people getting fired from left to right. Overall I was not satisfied. This car lot gave me so much anxiety and just stressing me out mentally and emotionally. Never Again. Please don't do business with this company.

First car I received was a good car. Started my own business, needed a bigger one. Went in, traded my car, first one I looked at went in the shop before I even signed paperwork and it stayed in the shop for 3 weeks. Told them I wanted something else because this was supposed to be something for me to be able to do my job! Found another one and I haven't driven it 2 weeks, it's in the shop, actually back in the shop! I was told the issue with it was fixed but it won't go out of first gear. My payments are 315.00 every two weeks for a car I haven't had even two weeks.
Now I'm being told I still have to make car payments on a vehicle I don't have. Customer service is very poor and just today I spoke to a manager just to be told "Sorry, we will put it back in the shop"! I need the car I'm paying for!!! But they want that money. Piss poor. They need to be shut down. I don't work this hard to be in this situation. Still have to make a payment, won't put me in something else, nothing. Worst experience ever!!!

I bought two cars from here. The first one was a 2002 Mustang which was awesome and JD was the general manager at that time. He was amazing and always helped me through difficult times. I had to trade that car in and I got a 2010 Hyundai Sonata. Granted the employee who I dealt with was disgruntled and stole the fob keys and I was stuck with no way to lock my car. Long story short, the alarm had to be disabled by unhooking the battery. So for over a year, I couldn't lock my car. The tires were sprayed with Armor All to make them look new and before I decided to just do a voluntary repossession, the CV joints, and rotors were extremely bad and I was told they had been bad for a long time.
So long story short, they sold me this unsafe car, would not fix anything and it was unsafe to drive. I went to a different car lot and explained my situation and was financed a way better car. I called Car-Mart a few times and told them to take the car and told them where it's parked. They ignored this and called my job three or four times a day, came to my house and called my cell I don't know how many times a day. This is illegal and harassment to my understanding! The new manager is rude and shows no empathy at all because I told him why I missed a payment and he made me feel like I was a irresponsible child when I was going through a legal matter in which he didn't care.
He basically told me I better pay what I owe or my account manager will be repoing the car herself. He was very rude and upset me to the point of having an anxiety attack. If you're desperate for a car, go here but you better not miss a payment or they will harass you at your job, your home while you're trying to eat dinner. And their manager, Jacob is the worst. They have lost my business and I will never recommend any of my friends to go there because of their terrible collection practices. If I had my way, I would gather people together and file a class action lawsuit.

They sell junk verticals that cost more than double the price they are worth. My first truck I got from them was worth maybe 2500. I paid 6000. The truck ran for just under a year then no longer was driveable. The second truck I got was worth 6500 and I have to pay 12000. It ran for 3 weeks before it started having problems. After 6 months it is too undriveable. To try and get them to fix it you have to jump through hoops and pay out more money and at the end they won't fix it anyways. If you want to be in greater debt than you started and have no vehicle Carmart is the place to go.

This is the second time we got our car fixed and it has not been a year yet since I bought it. The first time it was fixed, it took a very long time to get it back. It was perfectly fine because the manager was hands-on on keeping tabs with us. We knew what was going on! The second time was a very bad customer service experience. No credibility. No integrity. No respect. Our has been there for a week now. Last Thursday a certain Chris who is in charge on mechanical services or car repairs called and said it will probably be ready tomorrow because the part will be available on Friday. A simple car part that they apparently ordered at Autozone.
My husband went there and they told him that the part will be delivered at 4:30 pm but the mechanic will clock out at that time because he has an appointment.
They told him it will be done by Saturday. At around, 5:30 someone from CarMart called and did not leave a voicemail. I called back and Christie answered. She said it was noted on my account that my car will be ready on Monday because the part got delivered at 4:30. I got so mad because it was another story. So I told her what my husband was told. She checked and got back to me. She said it will be fixed in the afternoon on Saturday and will be ready by then. I was hopeful. She even confirmed that they are open on Saturdays. I recently bought a 2004 Trailblazer from CarMart. It had almost 200 thousand miles on it and they charged me 8900. So Monday when I hit black ice and totaled the car by sliding into a tree my first thought was thank God I got the payment protection plan at least.
I immediately called CarMart. They told me to bring them a police report, my insurance info and pictures of the car and they would help me. I took a taxi to the police station and then CarMart and gave them all the info. Then some lady pulls me into an office and shuts the door and tells me, "I'm sorry but our records show you do not have the coverage." I distinctly remember accepting the coverage. My friend was there and she remembers as well. However there is now no record of anything. I would never recommend this place to anyone. In July 2016 I went to Car-Mart in Paducah KY for a car. I hopefully wanted a good reliable vehicle that got good gas mileage and would get me back and forth to work. Car-Mart says they only sell good reliable dependable and clean vehicles. I was wrongly led to believe that a 2005 Jeep Liberty was a perfect car for my needs. I was told this car was reliable and dependable which of course it was neither. This car's problems: Tire went flat 2 days after I purchased the vehicle (side wall blew out, could not be fixed. $86.62 for a new tire). Spare was flat. Also had a bulge in the sidewall. Battery went dead. Had to be replaced ($62.95). The windshield wiper came completely off on the expressway in the rain ($9.95). The whole time I had this car the only thing Car-Mart cared about was getting their $275.00 every two weeks.
Took the car to a mechanic because the brakes were going all the way to the floor ($89.95 for a new brake line driver’s side). My certified mechanic stated the passenger side brakes were also corroded and were needing to be replaced in less than two weeks. Then he told me the anti-lock. Brakes (type 43) were need to be worked on and only at a dealer cost approximately $1250.00 to fix. Then he handed me a list of things that were leaking in the undercarriage (differential, transmission, oil pan). The list was quite extensive. The car has an electrical problem. OverDrive only works sometimes when you push in the cigarette lighter. The radio CD player doesn't work. It eats CDs. The defroster does not work unless the truck is in motion (rather hard to defog the inside windshield with no defroster). Mirror adjuster on the driver’s side does not work. These are just the problems that I know of, so much for reliable dependable car.
I was told that if I was unhappy with the car I could return it for a different one. When I went in to speak to the manager, Steven, I was told differently. That only applied to the first three days of car ownership. Steven also told me there is no lemon law and the car was purchased as-is and he was going to do absolutely nothing to assist me in repairs and help in any way (very Poor customer service). I would not recommend Car-Mart to anyone for a used car purchase. They don't stand behind their cars, nor offer anything but grief after the purchase. To this date I have paid $4575.00 for this 2005 Jeep Liberty which has a Kelley Blue Book resale price of $1690.00. THE PURCHASE PRICE WAS $10,000.
I was taken advantage of and I hope that this letter makes it to the Kentucky Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau to uncover the fraud this company perpetrates on unsuspecting people. I can no longer afford this vehicle. It is either in the shop or broken down. Not reliable or dependable at all. I also consider this vehicle unsafe to drive as a direct result of these constant repairs and deficiencies.

CAR-MART in Saint Joseph Missouri took me for one hell of a ride in only 2 1/2 months! I will try to keep this Review of them short and simple and to the point. Six months earlier I came into some money and paid cash for a Beautiful 2012 MAZDA 3 for $8,000.00. I put $1,400.00 in it to last me a long time. (Tires, Tuned up, Flushed and Filled all Fluids. oil, tranny, antifreeze, filters for everything, belts, and Brakes). It didn't need all that I just wanted to keep my own maintenance records.
A few months later I drove past the CAR-MART in Saint Joseph Missouri and fell in love with an older model Mitsubishi that I just had to have. I figured these girls that worked there were professional car people and would give me a good deal trading in my 2012 Mazda 3 for the older Mitsubishi. After telling me the deal would not work until I bought their extended warranty I started having doubts because I thought the warranty was suppose to be optional.
After waiting over 7 hours for them to complete the paperwork I was tired and worn out. I told them I was disabled for 8 years I needed to leave and take my medication at home. I was so tired and drowsy signing a bunch of papers. I was glad to get the hell out of there. I made my first payment a few days early then it was time to get tags taxes and bump my insurance to full coverage. I realized my second payment might be a little late due to getting the car legal. I called to let them know I might be a little late on the second payment.
For 3 days in a row they called my phone over 13 times! On the fourth day they used their installed GPS TRACKER and approached me in the public library demanding the keys to the Mitsubishi and announced they were there to repossess the car in front of everyone there!! I asked for leniency and if we could work this out. I informed them again I was disabled and the vehicle was needed to attend my Doctors Appointments coming up. All they said was, "GIVE US THE KEYS AND WERE TAKING THE CAR AND ALSO WE WILL BE SENDING YOU A BILL"!
I was thinking after they drove off with the car, After trading in my 2012 Mazda 3 and making my car payment, they should owe me money for the trade in I used! So as you can tell this is a BAD REVIEW FOR CAR-MART of SAINT JOSEPH MISSOURI! I thought they would have to have a court order to repossess a vehicle. I am out over $11,000 plus damages. So we got approved only putting about $600 down, we was happy we had a car! About a month into the car we noticed a sound like the car was shaking and it was an ongoing noise, our left window wouldn't roll down, had two bad tires, our trunk had a problem closing, our car would stop in the middle of the road, had to have TWO alternators and TWO batteries within a few months! But they agreed to put the Altima we chose in the shop to figure out what was going on, so we said ok, get in the office and can't get approved because of our income?! It's a trade in?! The other man that was trying to make everything going through in the system said that we I can get approved with my income if I put $600 down when income tax comes plus the monthly note on a car that we don't even want because we couldn't get the Altima!!!
But whatever, we ask what our other options are and KELVIN said that HE can terminate the agreement without it going on our credit and not having anything to do with us! We was like that sounds good. We can do that! Then he calls and asks what we are going to do and I said we are going to terminate the agreement and he said something in a low voice about paying something and hung up quickly! I was at work and wasn't really paying attention but yesterday we received a letter in the mail saying that THEY are going to sell OUR car, that we are TERMINATING to a private sale and whatever they get for it will come off of our bill and we just owe the remaining balance.
Wait a minute?! Why would we owe y'all anything if we terminated the agreement?! Who is gonna buy a car for $1300 that's not working and probably not fixable?! No one!!! Sooo you expect us to pay for a car that we don't have, if y'all sell it?! That doesn't make a lick of sense!!! I came up there on a Monday morning to complete the application process by which took almost two hours. After those two hours were complete the general manager came and told me that there is a hold on the title for the car and I should check back in a couple of days to check the status of the title.
A week later there was still a hold on the title so when I received my paycheck I went back to the lot and selected a 2005 Mercury Sable. The second day of driving this car the brakes and rotors began to make a very loud grinding noise and I noticed that it was hard to stop the car. The car's THEFT sensor was also off and caused the car not to start at times. I also noticed that the AC was not blowing cold air so I take the car back up to the lot and give the general manager a list of problems that she insured me she was going to "FIX". A week later I get the car back and NOTHING on the car is fixed. I got stranded at work numerous times because of the THEFT sensor and almost got into a bad accident because of the brakes. I see a lot of negative reviews about Car-Mart. Yes, their interest rate sucks, but what do you expect? They don't do credit checks for vehicles under 10,000. They have a pretty good warranty with all vehicles they sell. Way better than other second-rate car lots. I have purchased and traded-in 5 vehicles now with the Car-Mart in Elizabethtown, KY. Some things haven't been great, but I'm buying a used vehicle. Obviously not everything will be perfect. I took the time to read before signing. I was aware of the tax season balloon payments. I compensated for it by increasing my regular payments, therefore never owing a balloon payment. As a matter of fact, it's made it to where I've paid vehicles off early. My last 2 vehicle purchase I had to put nothing down even and no balloon payments even scheduled. My current one will be paid off in 18 months of a 26-month term.
They do currently report to credit. My current vehicle I even got done in my wife's name, who is a homemaker, no income and never had credit in her life. It's already raised her credit 150 points. Car-Mart isn't the best dealership, but it definitely ain't bad. All these negative reviews I read show me people just aren't responsible to make their payments as agreed and don't review their contracts before signing. Heck I even tell them what I will allot my regular payment to be and they point out which vehicles can get me there and I decide on my vehicles that way.
As for vehicle issues, thoroughly check the vehicle out and give it a good test drive before deciding. Every vehicle I've purchased here has either needed very minor repair or no repairs at all. Most repairs being small cosmetic things. Take your time, check the vehicle out thoroughly, take to your own mechanic even, review the paperwork BEFORE signing, make sure the payment fits your budget and you'll get a good vehicle at a fairly decent price and now even start establishing credit. Have yet to see any other buy here pay here that can even come close to everything that Car-Mart offers. Either way it's just like buying from a first-rate lot. Do your research, find what fits your budget, request known defects with the vehicle be fixed before signing, get it in writing and enjoy your new ride while establishing your credit...

Around the time when we had about 2500.00 left to pay on the car, we fell in a financial hardship, and we got 3 payments behind. Make a long story short, the week we was going to be able to catch up the payments, the car was repossessed from my apartments. Now we was no longer living in Arkansas but living in Dallas, and the two closest Car-Mart are both about an hour drive away. I called my local dispatch just to see where the car was towed to, so I would know how much towing fees would be. They told me there was no record of my car being towed. So I called Magnolia Car-Mart and they basically told me they didn't know where the car was. I took it upon my own to call the next two close locations and they both told me that my car was not brought to their lot. And that it's company policy that when a repossession is done that the car is took to the closest location, and that if it's been 24 hours since the tow that my dealer should know who towed the car and where it's being stored. So as of now I have no idea where my car is. And it's poor service on their end to have a car towed and they not know where the car is. I know it's my fault for getting behind and ignoring their calls. But it shows some lack of responsibility on their end as well.
A customer should not think that her or his car has been stolen or been towed by some shade tree towing service, who will hold the car for ransom just to run up the tow bill. Tomorrow I will call again and see if they can tell me where the car is. It's not like I'm not going to pay if off. But for Christ sake they should make sure all their business is done company policy way when dealing with a repossession. From now on when and if I ever purchase another car, I will pay cash for one. I am done with secondhand car lots, who treat customers like puppets just because they can.

Bought my 2003 Buick Rendezvous last year. Have never been late with a payment until my uncle passed away and had to help my grandmother with funeral cost. The lady at Car-Mart demanded I bring in a letter from my 89 year old grandmother saying I helped her which was why I was going to be late with my payment. I refused of course, then I receive a call in January saying my 'mid-year' payment is due. This was the first I had heard of this. According to her in the paperwork I signed I agreed to pay a tax payment of 650.00, I haven't even received my refund yet and they are constantly harassing me. I will never get another car from Car-Mart or recommend any to go there. They are crooks who prey on people who are going through a difficult time with credit and money issues.

My wife had no credit and wanted to purchase her first vehicle. She saw a little red Jeep Liberty and didn't do her homework on Carmart. I went with her and they explained everything about warranty and financing. Wife insisted so we proceeded. 25 days after "100% inspection and satisfaction guarantee" policy air conditioner pump locked up and serpentine belt snapped and destroyed alternate and pulley tensioner. Towed home and manager refused repairs because "pump not part of motor or drive train". He said I could have one week to forgo payment to repair. 3 weeks after the $1100 repair made electrical issue happened making car undrivable again. Same excuse from manager. Again, another expensive repair.
Then windows stopped working and yet another repair. Owning for less than 90 days and already up to $2100. I threatened to file suit and contacted corporate and still no call. Fell behind in payments and driving home one day 2 Carmart cars with Carmart tags chased me down interstate. I had to file police report for the dangerous driving of employees trying to repo. This was same day I paid balance making me current. Called manager and he claimed he didn't get confirmation number and despite coming current on loan now we have an " tax time" payment that was not even outlined in contract for $500. Called corporate and still no answer.
So after $2100 in repairs, current and behind in same day with no legal reason other than what they claim we agreed to and almost getting into wreck by crazy employees trying to repo. I'm now being called a liar despite paper trail and dash cam video of dangerous employees trying to pull us over on major interstate. Police filed report but Carmart denies. Dash cam clearly shows Carmart license plates and dangerous driving and I have a recorded phone conversation with manager telling me that they were his employees. Nothing done by corporate. What's next, if I'm a day late they will put a hit on myself or my wife? Pursuing legally despite my urge to handle this the military way. They are threatening to repo any day. This story is 100% true and can be backed up. Something needs done. Stay away from these thug want-a-be's. Police investigating but losing thousands. Watch yourselves!
Updated 2/23/2017 - I recently wrote a review about Carmart of Macon Georgia and how we had $1200 in repairs in the first 25 days of buying vehicle. Also reported that they sent employees to repo after agreeing to forego payment to cover repairs almost causing 2 accidents and came to our home and refused to let wife leave driveway until we paid or told them where I worked so they could come and get vehicle. Two pending criminal investigations are underway but it gets better.
Someone from corporate finally contacted us named Steven. I explained everything that had happened and he agreed that repairs were part of warranty and that Carmart does not condone such criminal activity to repo cars. He agreed to meet me at local location so that I could show him videos of incidents, police reports and repair costs. We were to meet to fix problems and to smooth things over with local manager Chris. He even gave me an email which I later found was fictitious. Well meeting day came and he stood me up. I had money to pay small past due penalties and pay ahead. Disgusted I tried to call him back and it was a bad phone number. I emailed and it came back undeliverable. So I contacted corporate yet again and was promised that repossession would stop and someone would contact me.
Well today at work I had 4 armed men with guns in hand follow someone into private gated property and held me at gunpoint while they repossess vehicle. By the time police arrived Carmart of Macon had already had a convenient story that I owned a gun and was armed and dangerous and this was necessary. I don't even own a gun. Called corporate again and informed them that Steven stood me up and the cashier's check I sent came back and what had happened during repo. Embarrassed and mad I was again promised that now the vice president would call me by the end of the day... It's 8pm and no call. Yet another police report filed and this time Chris at Macon office had someone do his dirty work by repossessing the vehicle by gunpoint through a repo company so he denies all responsibility.
I joked in my first post that they would probably put a hit on me for calling them out to the corporate office but never thought that they would almost do it. If you're wanting a car from the Macon Carmart please think twice about how bad you need a car. I have to seek legal action, pursuit of criminal charges against Car Mart and social media for justice. The videos are there to prove everything as well as recorded conversations and documents but these clowns claim that I photoshopped everything. They are crooks and thug want to be. No family deserves to buy a car and fear for their safety if they have a complaint. NOT WORTH IT! Don't let this happen to you.

My wife seen this car in Evansville Indiana. She loved it. It was a 2005 Mazda Tribute. Well in three days the engine light came on. Sent us down to AutoZone. They said it was first bank 02 and second bank 02 so took it to them. They said bring it back Monday. I said never mind. Take it to shop. Have it done. Well at shop again and they found out there was oil leaking on exhaust manifold so I said ok. Valve cover leak no. Now these guys are licensed in Indiana not AutoZone people. They said it was dangerous to drive so I asked them to do a compression test. It was almost 90%. They looked in reservoir and had oil in it so mechanic told me it was a blown head gasket. I was pissed. This thing could of blown up or burned my wife to death.
Went back up there to CAR-MART. Behind her they wouldn't accept the paper I had from real mechanics. They wanted AutoZone. Well I had it. I told her clean out the car of her stuff. I'm taking out tag off. We'll get another car. So while I was taking her take off the car the lady behind the counter said "We're gonna sue you." My wife was in tears. She didn't know I already called our lawyer. Then came back home they called. Big mistake. They asked for her. I said "no this is her husband." Well lady said "I talked to my regional manager. We'll make the arrangement for the 75." "I'm thinking you sold me a fire hazard, tried to kill my wife." A no. Well it didn't last long. I told them I have paperwork and pictures and she recorded the girl saying that to her.
There is a lemon law in indiana. Let them try. Judge gonna love this. They breach the contract and I have it recorded. The lady we first talked to telling us to bring it back in three days and they would fix it for free. So if you go here don't. They're ripoff artist and they will tell you that paper which says "oh only pay 75 dollars and we fix it." 75 over and over and over. No thanks. I'm smelling lawsuit. Pretty sure Sterling and Sterling will be contacting them next week.

Well, to start if you purchased a vehicle at Car-Mart, you have credit problems. Misfortunes happen to a lot of good people, that are not in our control, resulting in poor credit. Car-Mart feeds on this, selling auction vehicles that are on their last leg. Buy a hunk of crap, recon it just enough to get a bite on a credit stricken victim. We all have a story to tell from the first impression, to the customer service, to the first breakdown of our new found polished **. REPEAT BUSINESS?? No kidding!! We're not going to reward you by reporting to any credit bureaus. Why would they do that? So you might possibly get established credit to buy a vehicle on a normal interest rate at a fair price. That's why they earn repeat business.
I'm very dissatisfied in the piece of crap I'm not stuck with. 05 Grand Cherokee. I even tried to trade it back into them to get another clunker, hoping to get a new set of issues to deal with. Salesman that sold it to me said and I quote "best car on the lot my friend.". Then try to trade it in, he says "well just a few more payments and we will get you positive equity, then trade you in to another vehicle." I'm not an idiot. If you buy a car here, there is no positive equity. Ever! When and if you get it paid off, it's probably at a salvage yard. I will never buy another vehicle here again. I would rather walk barefoot. Keep getting rich off of others misfortunes America's Car-Mart! Hopefully you are humbled one day.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP If you are in the market for a place that will approve you!!! My first experience with Car-Mart was rather rushed to say the least. I was in desperate need of a vehicle and the dealership was made well aware of this and took advantage of it. Proceeding with the purchase, they showed me this 2001 Chrysler sebring convertible and made a hasty "deal" with me because the vehicle had low miles and the total of the vehicle was not very expensive ($8,500). They promptly told me the payments would be high only because they wanted me to complete the program and have my vehicle paid off in full by 2 years. Assuming that this was a steal for me, I made the purchase with a $500 downpayment and I was on my way.
Shortly after the purchase the vehicle had blown two shocks in the front, the window cracked, the convertible leaked heavily, and the tires were practically balded to the point of being unsafe. Fast forward a year and a half, my remaining balance was $3,299.00 and I thought "hey why not get out of this vehicle in to something better off their car lot?" (I know very dumb idea despite my previous issues but again because my credit was so bad I thought they would be practically the only people willing to work with me and get me in a car of my choosing).
Shortly after a discussion about my previous car and its remaining balance, we had come to an agreement that I would release the vehicle back to them and start over in a new vehicle. They had a very nice "or so I thought", Chrysler 300c 2006 Hemi and I was again thrilled at the thought of owning it! Because of the price of the vehicle "$13,000.00 with interest, $18,000.00" I was getting a reliable vehicle with an odometer that read 156K miles but according to the dealership only had 136K because the vehicle had an odometer issue. THAT alone should have been a red flag but I proceeded with the purchase. NOT EVEN 2 WEEKS!!! I have a EXTREMELY HEAVY oil leak!!
To give you an idea, this vehicle could hold 7 qts of oil and I took a trip to Florida from Kentucky and from Florida to Kentucky back and I had to replace the oil with 8 qts!!! Assuming the issue would be resolved under their warranty, I began the process by making a small payment of $50 towards my deductible. The vehicle went in the shop 3 times!!! The warranty eventually became void due to my miles and they refused to resolve the issue afterward despite it not being resolved! I have since then willingly returned the vehicle to them and declined payment and I will be taking them to court! I feel it was a breach of contract and they should be obligated to resolve this issue immediately! I am not pleased at all! Bankruptcy is coming their way!

My husband bought a car through these people in 2013. It was a 2003 Pontiac Grand prix gtp. PAID well over 10,000 for it. Anytime we made a payment they were rude. We were late a few times and called ahead of time to let them know. WHEN we got the car the abs light and traction control light was on. They had us send it to some backwoods shop to fix it and was never fixed. They told us because they paid for it once they weren't going to pay for it again. Kim was horrible. The tax policy is stupid. You have to file taxes with them so they can take it all. She did his taxes and got really nasty because he didn't get much back which was strange so we had someone else look into it and found out she purposely did them wrong.
I will never get a car from them again. I hope the lawsuits against them bankrupt them. THEY are supposed to be there to help people get vehicles who can't pay outright and they abuse that by charging way more than the car is worth and they have problems with them. I have gotten 3 recalls on my car and they refused to fix it. Took forever to get the title to the car. 6 months after it was paid for they gave it to me.

I even have a video of this. I showed David he let it go, she messed my taxes up so bad that Dawn had to fix it. Afterward my car started acting up so I called Dawn and she told me that my warranty was up so I had to fix it myself. Well 2 months later my whole car shut down in the middle of the road. I called them they would not help me at all. I had two mechanics look at it. The sub frame was rusted out with holes all in it. My bcm was rusted and went out. Windows would not roll down. It would not go out of park, wipers, air and so much more would not work. It was not safe for my 4 children.
So after a month of trying to fix it, I turned it in. Asked them if they would work with me? I was told by the General Manager that they may could remove it from my credit or give me another vehicle. After having this vehicle for only 8 months I still owed over $8,000 on it. They then sold it and said I owed 6000 still. I refused to pay it as they sold me a unsafe vehicle. Now they have a motto of "100 percent inspected". There is no way this is true. I plan to get a lawyer and make sure this does not happen to anyone else. If you or anyone else has had this problem I ask you to join me in a lawsuit. Please contact me via facebook or email (Terry ** via facebook) and my email is **...

I bought a 2005 Ford F-150 from the Madison, TN store approximately 6 months ago. I have had to invest almost $1000 in the vehicle since that time. Things that were promised to be repaired before we took possession of the vehicle were not done, most importantly a replacement of the seal that was leaking oil. I had to wait almost 2 weeks to take possession of the vehicle after deciding to buy the truck and making a partial down payment supposedly to allow them time to make said repairs.
Since receiving the vehicle I have had to replace all 4 tires due to dry rot, replace the brake light sensor plate, have the vehicle aligned, and am still having to cope with a hole in the tail pipe, rear lights that do not work, and a missing center cap for one of the wheels. Yesterday I took the truck in for an oil leak. The main issue that was to be repaired was not repaired properly. We now are forced to wait while the truck to be repaired (again), pay $50 for the privilege, and meanwhile my boyfriend who drives the truck has no transportation to and from work. I trusted that the company was reputable. I trusted that a vehicle that cost over $10,000 would be in good repair. It was (and is) not. I strongly recommend that folks look elsewhere for a vehicle.

I too wish that there was a rating for ZERO stars. I Purchase a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder in 9/18/16. After utilizing their 3 day return/exchange policy I was greeted with what looked like racial discrimination. She forced me to get full coverage insurance before leaving the lot as an attempt to discourage me from changing cars. Day 2 or 3 it broke down and it was towed to their mechanic shop to be fixed because it would not go up the hill.
After getting the car back the 1st time and only having it back just long enough for me to drive it home it broke down again, but this time it was smoking and it wouldn't go up the hill. I have only had my truck in my possession for about 7 days total since the date of purchase because it has been in their repair shop. With me calling repeatedly day after day for updates, them not returning my phone calls, them not telling me where my car is located while at the same time making payments and renting cars I was not able to keep it with my payments.
After getting behind 1 payment I came into their office to make reasonable arrangements and the first thing they did was try 2 force me to let them pick up the truck again for repairs after I had just got it back for the 3rd or 4th time (losing count now it's been with them so long). They refused to make arrangements and in fact repossessed up my car after being 11 days late forcing me to file bankruptcy. As of today they still haven't returned my car and in fact they sent me a letter saying they were auctioning off the car. They put the truck in the shop and had the mechanic dismantle it. It has been there for 7 days and they told me on day 6 that the mechanic said it only runs for 5 min. then shuts off. It wasn't even doing that when they picked it up while I was at the hospital picking up my sister, this was after I had a mechanic look at it and me notifying them that the fan clutch was destroyed and that they obviously had overlooked the problem.
This company is a rip off and they will go as far as to overlook court orders. I will not be beat out of my money, I put down $1000 and made payments of $125 weekly, paid $50 for a repair that was never fixed and $75 for a tow not to mention all the money I have had to spend with rentals and the trips I have had to make and lost time on my job. They think I will not be able to make my payments to the bankruptcy attorney and I will be forced to discharge the bankruptcy because I am left with no transportation to work but they are wrong. What ever happened to reputable businesses?
I only purchased this car because of my son who had bought a car in Dalton GA. He worked with him, told him where his car was being repaired, allowed them to take to the mechanic shop for repairs and to pick it up. They also made arrangements with them in regards to their payments. Kind of think of it since they are a corporation aren't they supposed to have the same rules at every location. Then people answer this question. Why did the head manager tell me that every location is different and no one can tell her how she spends her money? I wish I had known that they are allowed to make up their own rules as they go because if I had known I would've avoided Car Mart of Hixson at all cost. What I can say is that I am willing to go as far as I need to go to have Car Mart of America put out of business and I we come any attorneys to contact me because there is much more to this story.

The coverage itself is labelled under a different name than what it is being advertised as which is misleading. Your company has extended my contract without me knowing (witness statement available). Then stated it was to fix my payment but never fixed my payments because as of the present time my payments are the same.
I have videos and audio of Cheri ** stating the contract modifications was to correct my payments and she acknowledges the payments aren't fixed on the audio as well. Every transaction, phone call, and voicemail has been recorded. Audio of Jason presenting himself as the General Manager then incriminating himself on how the Debt Cancellation process worked and much more. This is my last attempt to get the situation settled in good faith before my attorney takes over with the legal actions against your company. We are well aware of all the illegal things your company has done to obtain money from me and I am willing to stop the legal proceeding that have been started upon your company successful completion of the return of all funds collected.

Most importantly I would like to note that customer satisfaction would be on any agenda of any business.... unless you work for Car-Mart in Madison, Tn. I purchased a 2012 Ford Fiesta on March 22, 2016 and it's giving me more issues than it's worth. I brought my vehicle in for apparent transmission repairs almost 2 weeks ago (end of June 2016). One of their very rude and unprofessional staff members had stated they recharged the battery and came to the conclusion that the issue wasn't the battery but the transmission. They had to wait for their "transmission guy" which took about 4-5 days.
Anytime I would call Car-Mart to see where they were with the repairs Dawn always made it her business to be super rude. I have NO IDEA how this lady has a JOB! She knew absolutely nothing about the vehicle repairs, what it would cost, absolutely nothing. In the midst of them "repairing" the vehicle the transmission guy couldn't figure out the problem so they transported the vehicle right across the street to the Ford dealership. They apparently couldn't figure the problem out as well, so the vehicle was taken back to the car lot. They're not stating the problem wasn't the transmission or engine but the battery...mind you, they had already rebooted the battery and initially recognized the problem wasn't the battery, but of course now they're saying that was the problem all along!
I am up-to-date on my car payments, I obviously had to pay an additional car note while they "repaired" the vehicle and on top on this they are wanting me to pay for repairs and another car note which sums up to $641. I purchased insurance from them in the amount of $668 that insurance covered any transmission problems but because they are stating the issue wasn't the transmission but the battery they're not able to cover any misdiagnosed fees. It's one thing to purchase a vehicle as is and problems occur, as Dawn continued to repeat as I tried to communicate with her, but it's another to be RUDE and work in a business that you have no idea about. She couldn't give me any information about the vehicle, she interrupted our conversation to transfer me to arrogant David. I don't how these people work in customer service - it is very apparent that they hate their jobs and also their customers.
My car is still sitting at their lot, "completely repaired" not only because I don't have the money for the repair fee but also because I'm not even understanding how I'm responsible for the repair when they misdiagnosed the problem from the beginning. I simply believe they are saying the issue was the battery instead of the transmission because they know if it was truly the transmission they will have to cover the repair bill. I never gave them permission to put a new battery in my vehicle, I only gave them permission (after they BUGGED me) to bring the vehicle back to their shop so they can see why the transmission and check engine light were both on.
They weren't given permission to purchase a new battery for the vehicle and/or have it placed inside. I've asked for a statement to see the cost of labor and parts, but was told by David that I can get the statement once I pay them the $271. They were unwilling to add that payment onto my car note, they were unwilling to work any arrangements even though the car is paid up, they just want their money money money. I will never ever do business with Car-Mart and suggest NO ONE else does.

I bought my 4th car from CAR-MART in Joplin, MO. I will never buy another car from any CAR-MART. In March I purchased a 2006 Ford Fusion. Test drove it and it drove fine. Once I got it home I found out that the driver side air back will not work because it has been installed wrong, which tells me the car has been wrecked. The face of the radio does not light up and the CD player doesn't work because there are 9 CDs jammed into a 6 disc player. And the cruise control does not work. The following day I went back to the dealer to address these problems. I talked to the person who sold me the car, and she handed me off to the so-called mechanic. He informed me he would have to look into everything and see if he would be able to fix the car. He would call in a couple days.
After a week I called only to be told he no longer worked there and that since I didn't bring it back within three days the problems were mine. The person who sold me the car denied ever talking to me. The manager is a real jerk, and after getting into a heated argument with him, I was told to get off HIS lot and never come back. CAR-MART used to sell good clean used cars. Now they sell overpriced junk. I didn't have to buy from them, but until now had not had any problems. I will never buy from them again, and hope that whoever reads this doesn't buy from them.

Do not buy anything from Car-Mart. My mom bought a car on Friday. She left and went out of town on Sunday and while traveling, the car stopped. It started smoking and would not move. She contacted the dealership early Monday morning about the issue and Wednesday we still haven't heard anything from them. My mom had to rent a car to get to where we were going and to get back home. The car stopped in Nashville and she has yet to know what she will do when she return the rental. We even called the corporate office and they stopped answering the phone also. This is just unprofessional on all levels.

I bought a 2003 Mazda 6 3.0 L from Car-Mart in Altus, OK and everything seemed great place until a week after the coolant just poured out of my car at a parking lot. Took it in and they claimed to fix it next day. It just ran down everything -- pre-cats, oil pan, oil filter, inside the heat shields, the radiator fans -- so I took it back and they took it back with yet another $50 deductible so I spent $100 just to get it fixed which is outright horrific.
Next issue was the brakes just started wearing down quickly and they refused to replace it. Next issue is shaking of the steering wheel as if it was unbalanced and improper steering mechanics which they refused to fix yet again. Another issue came up with the speedometer reading 5 MPH faster than the actual speed I'm going. I found out with a digital speed reader only 'cause people were passing by me at normal speeds so I thought something was wrong. Took it back and they tell me (oh what a shocker) they refused to fix it. Next issue came up as oil pan seal is worn and is leaking oil, not a lot but small amounts every so often, but I can not replace myself due to exhaust pipes having to be removed in order to get to the oil pan which is a pain.
Another issue came up for the Car-Mart manager telling me after giving my full report of my issues just for the manager (Jenny **) and she told me straight up, "I'm sorry but I do not care." Are you kidding me? How do you tell a customer you "don't care"? They already have a bad reputation and hearing that for myself nearly made me feel sick to the point of all lost of humanity. For those who thinking of shopping at Car-Mart anywhere in the US. I implore, no I beg you, DO NOT SHOP AT CAR-MART.

My fiance and I bought a Pontiac Grand Prix from the West Springdale, AR store on Monday, 3/21/2016 with 122,000 miles. Car ran great on the test drive and payments were within our budget so we started scribbling signatures. We went this route because our credit isn't good at all and we had just totalled our other car, and we're expecting a child in a couple months. The starter went out three days later, and in an attempt to push it to a better area to work on it, as I myself am a mechanic, I had an accident and broke my jaw in two places, requiring surgery and leaving me unable to work. Well they tow the car free of charge, which I think is great, but didn't look at it until the following Monday. Here's where it gets interesting. I come home from the hospital and get a hold of my father in law, as he has been talking to them since my jaw is wired shut and I can't really talk.
They tell him they find a whole bunch of other problems and will be done that evening. Never heard from them until Wednesday. I go pick the car up and everyone in the office just looked at me like I wasn't all there just because I couldn't talk well. I felt so judged. So we take off and a few other issues I had them address hadn't even been fixed, but they found a bunch of other crap wrong with it. I'm thinking "Fine, I'll take it back tomorrow." The service manager is very hard to get a hold of, and once you do get him on the phone he's rude and doesn't want to listen. They have the car two more days. Next day while on a 75-mile trip the check engine light comes on and runs rough. I called him Monday and he told me to bring it by. Mind you I still have an issue with the starter so he said they'd fix it.
After them having the car another 4 days I pick it up and check engine still on and now alternator is dead. Now I have to wait till Monday to call them for the 4th time since buying this car 2 weeks ago, and try to get them to fix this Damn car. Btw the girl in the office is rude as hell, and as my sister in law was there to resolve payment issues she's been having, she overheard two employees talking **, saying that is pathetic that I have to have a middleman and it's only a matter of time before they'd have to repo my car. All I can think is ** that place. If I didn't have a broken jaw, caused by their pos car, I wouldn't need to have someone speak for me. UNPROFESSIONAL! If they get their act together and keep it together till I pay the car off, I will never do business with them again.

I bought my car on 10/30/2015. It broke down within 30 days of purchase. The salesperson was very nice but the car is overpriced junk! Over $9000 for a 2003 (My Bad). It has torn up 5 times since then. It is still torn up after 5 attempts of fixing it. They put in an old transmission with 30,000 more miles (98,000) on it than my car had. It didn't work. The motor mounts are also broken from the severe jerk of the transmission.
The manager, Anthony, told me I could get another car if I paid the "tax lump sum" on my current car or pay $800 down on the other car. I have already lost so much money with my current car... rentals and lost wages. Not to mention the down payment for the current car. Also, If I got another car, it could be worse than the one I have. I can't afford more lost wages and rentals! Also, don't expect anyone to communicate with you. No one ever returns calls there... unless you owe them ("tax lump sum"). 12 calls in 7 days. WTH? I could go on and on but the other comments says it all. DON'T BUY FROM THIS PLACE! My Car-mart vehicle broke down on the interstate on the 3rd day of possession on my way to work. There was a window cling from Car-mart in the windshield with a tow number to call. The phone number was for a cruise ship advertisement. So I called the Car-Mart office. Tisa in the office said towing wasn't included. So I called a tow truck and had it towed to Tried and true auto care. Later reviewing the contract I found where on page seven paragraph two their contract stated, "towing is covered by Car-mart in the case of the car becomes disabled by a covered auto part. Not to exceed $50.00." The mechanic called and said the car died because the fuel pump failed. Which is okay since it is a covered auto part (I paid an extra $1,100+ for the auto part warranty).
But before any repairs can be made I have to pay a $50 deductible. Well that shouldn't be a big deal since by their own contract I am owed $50 for a $151.00 tow bill. So I go down there with their contract in hand to show them where I am owed $50 for my towing expense and to see if that takes care if the $50 repair deductible. When I arrive and show Tisa (office worker) the contract she says repeatedly, "I don't see that anywhere" which is comical since its right at the top, second paragraph on its own.
So I highlight the section, where she looks surprised and runs to the back with it. She comes back out and says the manager will see me in just a moment. When I go to the back to speak with him, he acts confused about the contract stating Car-mart's $50 tow liability. Saying, "well it's been a long time since I've read this." He goes on to tell meI am not understanding the contract "insinuation". Wait...what?! "The contract insinuates we'll cover that tow expense if it has to be towed to another shop for repairs. For shop to shop towing only." "Where does it state that?" "It doesn't have to it's insinuated." "Contracts are specific, you can't insinuate on them. That doesn't hold up!" "Well that's what our lawyers said to do, so that's how it works. Are you going to be paying your $50 repair deductible now?"
I was upset and left. When I got home I looked over the contract page where I had highlighted about Car-mart paying $50 for the tow and saw where Tisa had written, "Doesn't feel she has to pay!" How incredibly rude and illegal to not uphold your own contract agreement. I paid the $50 repair deductible and another $79 for the diagnostic work. I have the contract and $151 tow bill and will be consulting an attorney to see about contract insinuations. I've never once been late on any payments, I paid twice the down payment at time if purchase. So to be laughed at and lied to is beyond insulting. If they don't even uphold their own contract if but benefits you what makes you think they'll be helpful in any way except to help themselves to your hard earned a money!

You all know that we wrecked our Jeep Commander. Well, we were upside down on it; and only had it about 7 months or so. It was a good vehicle. When we approached our lender they were more than happy to work with us and put us into another vehicle with no money down; which is great. And they're getting their money from the insurance company no matter what and we of course don't get anything from the insurance company. We also bought their "GAP" insurance which cleared out the balance owed.
After a day of looking we decided to buy a GMC Terrain off their lot. It was a great vehicle...we thought. We purchased the vehicle on a Thursday morning and drove it immediately to do all of our errands which included going to Benton and back. On the way back from Benton it started doing a rough idle and shaking then when we were at the stop light by our house it died on us. It started right back up. We parked it at the house for a while. After trying to crank it several times it finally started but it said low engine pressure. Here go with the Rental Vehicles again... The next morning we call up the lender and tell them what's happening. They send a tow company out. A few hours later I call and check on the vehicle and they said it's the timing chain; it broke... IT BROKE... It what they said; remember that!
Fast forward a few days and we call to check on the vehicle and we are told it should be done by Thursday or Friday. Okay, we're looking at about a week for repairs. Thursday rolls around and NOPE, do not have the vehicle ready. They said they're waiting on parts. Oh, that's what's going on huh? When will the parts be in? "I don't know..." You don't know? There is such things as shipping tracking and order tracking.
A few days later we call back again. Still don't know anything. Finally we get the manager on the phone and he said he has the tracking information, the parts were on back order and it should be in by Thursday or Friday. That's two weeks...TWO WEEKS. Yes, 2 weeks. So, Thursday we call and check on it. Said we won't know anything until Monday. Why not? They're working on it. OKAY...
Monday we call and check on it (that's this past Monday, btw) and they said they're still working on it. WHAT THE HECK, really? Said it should be ready on Tuesday. The next immediate day. No word from them on Tuesday. Call them on Wednesday morning 1st thing when they're open. THEY'RE STILL WORKING ON IT?? Oh no, correction. It's being finished up. Should have it back on their lot by 5pm. NO. It's now been 20 days that you've been working on the Timing Chain Assembly. Don't get me wrong but that's a 1 day maybe 3 day job. All the while anytime we tried to call and get answers it was "don't call us, we'll call you". NO. You need to be on whoever's behind to make sure they're not giving your customers bad customer service!
Finally we get our vehicle back on Wednesday. The lady who handed us the keys said they broke a bolt and couldn't find it. REALLY? That was Yesterday. After 21 days of "being repaired" we drive it home and the check engine light comes on again. REALLY? So we go and have it diagnosed. The codes are pulling up Timing Chain issues. REALLY? So we go ahead and drive it because at this point we have no choice and see what's going on if maybe they didn't clear the codes. At first it ran fine, we took it to the Village and back. Brought it home, Joe drove it to pool league.
We ran the route with it last night. What happened? you ask. Let's see...it started idling rough again. It died on us in the middle of the route. Wasn't sure it was ever gonna start again. So we decided that we would take it back this morning and talk to them about it. We get it home, clean it out. Start it back up? Nope, takes 15 minutes to start again. We go back to our lender and tell them what's going on. Btw they're suppose to open up at 9am and it was 9:30am by the time they opened the doors and it took me beating on their windows and doors to get their attention because "they were having a meeting".
I ask to see the repair bill. LABOR for timing chain assembly. LABOR for broken bolts. LABOR LABOR LABOR... No charges for parts. So what happened was they didn't replace anything but they fixed it. Really? You fixed it by not fixing anything? So then we decided we just want out of it. They said "no problem we have many vehicles on our lot." We settle for a Ford Edge, it's not the room we need and it's not really what we wanted...but beggars can't be choosers, right?!
We got through all the contracts and signing, etc. As we're walking out the door the General Manager pulls us into his office and says "this is it, if the car blows up, you own a blown up car. You still have payments, etc..." Oh that's the wrong thing to say mister as you've now peaked Pissed off Jenny 2.0. After much to do I said to him that we both just better pray that this vehicle doesn't have any issues and I walked out the door.
So...To all my friends and family...IF YOU WANT A DECENT CAR AND NOT A ** YOU WILL NOT SHOP AT CAR MART IN HOT SPRINGS AR. I cannot vouch for any other Car Marts but this one truly takes the cake. They don't repair the vehicle properly because the timing chain assembly was never replaced - so they lied. And now they wanna tell me that if they sold me a lemon they don't care. And that they're gonna sue me if I insist on them making it right. Well sir, please feel free because if it craps out on me it's going to be YOUR useless vehicle, not mine.

We needed to get a car that day and after spending 5 hours at a different location we went to Car-Mart. Huge mistake, but we didn't know at the time what the heck we were about to go through with them! We went in late and of course they never give you enough time to read the paper. Then they make you watch a stupid video. So I get into my car I just bought from them and everything seemed to being going ok. Well the check engine light came on and within the first month we had to spend over $800 to get the car fixed because it broke down and my fiancé had to get it towed to the nearest car shop. Thankfully that place was understanding with payments because I didn't have all that money to pay for it!
Their customer service is terrible! They get so mad and will threaten to take your car away even if you were $7 short and I didn't even know! They showed up at my house and told me that they have towed cars for less than that. Money hungry is what they are! Every time you need something they want you to come in office! Hello I can't just drop everything I'm doing just to go to you! Then I had to arrange a late payment and they told me I could go to the Car-Mart by me so I did then they were like "nope you have to go to the place you got the car from!" Um hello I can't waste gas just because you people don't know what you're talking about! When I was $7 short I promised I would pay that my next payment which was just a week away and they kept calling for that money until I told them I already talked to someone about it.
So I get a letter in the mail saying I owed them an outrageous amount and I called them and asked them what it was from and the lady was like "don't worry that letter was wrong and it's only $7 you owe which you'll pay come next car payment due date." So I kept my word and I paid it. Well four days later some lady from Car-Mart called saying I owed them $11 and I told her no I didn’t I was all caught up until 2 weeks when my next payment was due and she started arguing with me and then was like ok I'll just send someone out to tow it! I told her "no you won't because you're not even listening to me!" I told her to look and my chart and you can see where I called and I only owed $7 and that I would pay that then I would be all caught up.
She wouldn't look until I repeated myself several different times then she was like "oh ok I see what you are talking about but you still owe this and you need to be in my office by 6." I told her I would need to talk to my fiancé about this payment and she was like "ok I'll see you today by 6" then I just hung up on her. So three hours later I paid that $11 because I didn't want my car towed. I called Car-Mart to tell them I paid it and that I shouldn't get my car towed and I complained on whoever called me to threatened to take my car away and she said that she would let that girl know and we would resolve this and I would get a call back.
That was on a Tuesday. Well its Sunday now and still no call. But Thursday I did get another letter stating I was late $179 so I called Car-Mart and asked why I apparently owed that much and the lady said "oh you don't owe that you're all caught up" so I told her to put that into my chart and let them know I didn't owe that and I mentioned that I never got a call back so she said she would let the ladies know in the back to give me a call. Well, still no call. So when it comes Monday I will be giving them a call to see why I owe more money.
They are money hungry people who do not care for the safety of your family or you! My car even has a gas leak but do they care? Nope. This is the worse place to get a car from! Every time someone asks me where to get a car the first thing I say is not from Car-Mart. They really need to stop being so darn money hungry! They even told me that my credit will be messed up because apparently of the late payments I make! I've only made a few late payments out of the almost two years I had this car! I have two cars from them! Once they are paid off we are going to a real dealership and trading both of those crappy cars in for one nice one!

I have purchased many cars from Car-mart. I have both ups and downs. Most of the time however my lawyer getting involved or just the threat was enough to make them do something to make their error right. However on the last SUV I purchased, I drove it almost off the lot. Seriously I did not even make it out the exit of the driveway because the radiator that was being held on by FISHING line broke and dropped it through the bottom. This caused other damage to the fan and a few other areas. Two managers came running out to see what was going on because honestly it looked like the thing was on fire. It was just smoking a bunch however. They pushed it back to the shop. Oh did I mention they had me a 4' 8" lady help push it back to the bay. I told them I wanted to just forget the whole deal, rip up the contract and I would go elsewhere.
The manager insisted I signed a paper that makes it so I have to allow them to repair it and cannot get out. I pulled out my phone and showed her I have three days by state law to return the damn thing even if there was nothing at all wrong with it. She laughed and said "we don't follow those laws here, we bypass them with contracts stating you give up those rights." I asked to see those said papers I signed, and she could not produce them. Mind you it was literally moments before that we signed everything. They do have you sign and grab that one and sign and grab that one, and almost in a quick way as so you can't read them.
I assured her that my lawyer would be up there in the morning to speak with them and if need be file a proper lawsuit. She again laughed at me and said one the most rude things I have ever heard in my life. "Well if you could afford a lawyer, you wouldn't be here buying cars from us so go for it." My mouth hung open wide as I reached for my phone and dialed up my lawyer. See I can afford one as the only reason I was using them was because of bad credit from a small biz bankruptcy from almost 7 years prior. She should have known considering I put down $5000 on a $8995 car. I did however finance the other $3995 with them, and I am glad I did. I wonder to this day if I had given them the full cash amount if they would have even pushed my car back to the shop.
Anyways, I get my lawyer on the line and explain everything while on speaker phone so this rude ass lady can hear everything he had to say. He told me not to worry he would have me either refunded or we would sue them, they were breaking enough laws that a refund would be a cake walk in court. Let me tell you what happened next is almost unbelievable. She pulled out her cell phone and called someone, then put it on speaker and said "he pretend to be my lawyer and tell this lady I have grounds to sue her for breathing."
After laughing for a good moment, she turned to me and said "see I can fake a call to my "lawyer" too." And then just left me standing there. Of course my lawyer was still on the line and of course records all his calls. Let's just say the following month I was refunded 100% and we go to court in November for the interest from them holding my money for a month. I don't play that crap. If you're getting screwed by Car hell Mart just lawyer up. Plenty will only get paid if you win and the way this company breaks the law, good luck not winning.

Cleaned some headlights for the lot in Troy Alabama on July 7th 2015. Been lied to at least 5 times by the GENERAL MANAGER AND HIS STAFF not withstanding Mrs. ** and by other people in accounts payable. Today is 08/31/2015. But for 2 months I've been hearing the lie that we cut checks every Thursday but the last Thursday of the month. These people practice lying to their vendors. God knows what they say to make a sale. Not trustworthy. $180.00 for a company with 114 lots and you have to lie to people instead of paying the invoice is unthinkable. Need to be closed down.

My son bought a car from Car-Mart several years ago. He paid way too much for a vehicle without any advice, which was his first mistake. Over the time, he has paid $9,000 on the car, which was $10,000 with financing. He was coming out of a rough situation and they worked with him when he was late, and were fully aware of his difficulties and how hard he was working to pay the car, and they were cooperative and helpful. Now that he is down to owing $1,400 on the car and is late again, they decided to take it back and won't give it back to him unless he pays the full $1,400.00. People, this is the oldest trick in the book. Used car salesmen are notorious for this. Get almost the full amount owed on the car and then take it back. They resell it and get another bundle on it.
I am so disgusted with them. Such a dishonorable and unethical practice. They are sadly within their rights contractually-speaking, but it is a shameful practice nonetheless. I would never buy a car from them again and would not advise anyone else to do business with such an unethical business. He lost all of the money he paid for the car and they will gain another sale on it. Not right any way you slice it.
