My car was out of its warranty and it's an older car. I purchased an extended warranty from America Auto Care, and my experience seemed to go very well. They were pleasant.

We're running out of warranty so I wanted an extended warranty and the guy from America Auto Care gave me a good price. Also, the reps answered all my questions.

I was looking to purchase an extended warranty on my vehicle. I heard about America Auto Care through a third party and they had several different warranties. I called them yesterday and the day before. The first representative I spoke to yesterday was very rude. She felt the need to argue with me. I told her I was not going to argue and I wanted her to let me speak with her supervisor. She put me on hold on then she comes back saying her supervisor Lana wanted her to just take my statement as to why my car is in the shop - I had to take my car in for a repair and the AC went out. But the dealer already spoke to America Auto Care. I never spoke with the supervisor and I am yet to receive a call from her. But the rep found it necessary to go back and forth. I hung up.
Their reps won't patch you through to an adjuster or the one that reviews your claim. They only take messages. I left a message on Wednesday and another one yesterday. They couldn't tell me how long it would be before an adjuster could get back to me. I was just told that he was working on other claims and he'd do them in the order in which they came in. I told the rep my vehicle has been at the shop since Monday and we haven't heard anything. He asked if I gave them my statement. I was like, "What statement? I took it to the dealer, the dealer called you all while I was there, and the adjuster said they would call me instead of speaking to me right then while I was at the dealership, and he hasn't called me."
I didn't like that experience. It seemed like a runaround to me. There is nothing in their book that states I have to provide a statement that says the dealer can contact them. I'm not happy with my experience so far. And now they're saying that before they can repair my AC, the dealer has to call me and get authorization to take my vehicle down until total failure so someone can come out and look at the part. Meanwhile, I don't have my vehicle. It's been sitting at the dealer since Monday and I don't know what they're gonna do - if they are gonna approve the claim or disapprove the claim.

America Auto Care's warranty went to where it would end up 280 something thousand miles by the time it would expire. I thought that was pretty good, so I went with them. I also talked three other companies and they were all the same on coverage. So far, I'm a little disappointed on their customer service because I haven't heard anything from them and I didn't have a contact information. So what I had to do was I took my bank statement and called the company that takes the money out every month. Then they gave me this customer service number and they emailed me what they originally said they'd do to begin with, and they may have. It may just got lost or went to the wrong email address. But I had to call them to get them to send me my contract information.
Supposedly, the warranty covers everything except for normal maintenance stuff. The car's making a racket on the right side of the car now, so I'm gonna take it to the shop for the next couple weeks and we'll see if there's anything. I'll be curious to see if the warranty was a waste of money or not and when I file a claim, I'd like to see if they're gonna take care of me or if it's gonna be a hassle.

I was specifically looking for an auto coverage plan that would take care of the maintenance and anything else that might go wrong. I looked at about three auto coverage companies and America Auto Care explained exactly what they covered and exactly what the price would be. They didn’t kind of fool around with it. They were straightforward and they have a long history. The reps were very polite and very professional too. They were more reassuring and comforting. I’d dealt with another company and I had some much problems with them that I dropped them. I'm hoping that America Auto Care will show me that they’ll care of all this when I need to get it. I'd recommend them.

I had a regular warranty up to 36,000 miles so I needed to get something extended. I looked at about five companies and everybody pretty much offered the same thing. America Auto Care contacted me first. The policy they had was a supplement to the warranty that I got from the dealership Nissan. Everything they offered sounded good to me. The rep was spot on with everything single question I had. There was no delay and he knew exactly what he was talking about.

The deal with America Auto Care seemed okay. The warranties are all basically the same. None of them are perfect but America Auto Care's was acceptable. So I went with them. Plus it was either that or I would have had to trade my car in and buy a new one because my warranty was running out. They were also professional and they didn’t make me jump through hoops.

America Auto was kinda expensive and I found one that was a little cheaper than them but I just needed an auto protection warranty. The America Auto rep was good and sold the warranty to me. He said I only have a $100-deductible and he said I'd get the rental car if anything happens to the car. I really liked that.

So far, I'm very happy with everything. I had read some reviews and I decided to take a chance. I required that someone call me and someone did. And the deal with America Auto Care was done properly. I did it over the phone and the guy was very good in explaining every single thing. I was excited signing up. It was awesome. I’m just confused about the charging, if they would send me a book to pay or if it's on autopay. But otherwise, my experience was good. The van is also running real well. It is still only a year old. It's kinda new, with 50,000 miles. The coverage is kinda bumper-to-bumper, but no tires, and it is is just for precaution. I just wanna make sure everything is running okay.

I was looking for an extended warranty and investigated a few auto coverage companies. I found America Auto Care online and when they popped up, I put in my information and they called and gave me a quote. They were very helpful about it. Also, they had better mileage and better customer service. They made sure I understood everything. I had the 100,000 miles for five years. I got the powertrain enhanced and the rep said it covers everything that needs to be covered. I was gonna be paying at the dealership almost the same amount and they were gonna warranty my motor and my transmission for 2,700. And when I got them, it was an extra $200 or $300 and I got three free oil changes with it and flush. They were really awesome about taking care of me.

My warranty expired and before, I've only had the one you normally got the car from at factories. So this one with America Auto Care is amazing. I got a full coverage from front to back, bumper-to-bumper. It's a product that I can stand by and their customer service was amazing. The personnel that I spoke with was straightforward and to the point. He answered all my questions and there was nothing hidden. It was upfront with everything and that’s what I appreciate. He listened as well. I told him what I wanted and he responded back. Then we went on and made a deal. They're cool.

I was looking for an extended warranty and checked out four companies. With repairs being so expensive, having the warranty would be very valuable. America Auto Care had more coverage for about same the price or less. My interactions with their rep were good. Plus, their professionalism and knowledge were very good. I like the package that I got, but I haven't received my hard copy or email confirmation that tells me exactly what my coverage is. I'd tell anyone how asks about America Auto Care that they seem like a great company and the coverage is good, but it could be a scam too.

I recently had a incident where I thought that America Auto Care would cover it but come to find out, they didn’t. So, I ended up having to pay out of pocket for it myself. What’s the point of me having a warranty if I’m just paying America Auto Care for no reason? But they have great customer service. The problem that I had was the wiring in the truck went bad. Chevrolet tried to charge me $320 to do that and America Auto Care told me not to go there. They helped me find another way to save money versus paying Chevrolet that amount of money plus the diagnostic fee. So I went to a mom-and-pop shop and got it fixed for $100. I’m still with America Auto Care and I’m giving them benefit of the doubt. I feel that if something major was to happen, they’ll have my back. They are nice people and they're worth giving a shot.

I needed an auto coverage plan so I would have a warranty if my car broke. I didn’t wanna be in a position where I wouldn’t be able to get the proper care that I needed for my vehicle. I got a follow-up call from America Auto Care and that was how I got a chance to know about the company. I investigated four warranty providers, then I went with America Auto Care since they gave a little bit more when it came to offers. The reps were very helpful with the information that they gave in the conversations that I had with them. They were detailed about what they had to offer, so that was pretty good. They were consistent and able to answer any questions that I had. I’m covered for 75,000 miles for anything that goes wrong with the fuel transmission, gas pump, engine, and a couple of other things. Roadside assistance is also provided.
When I filed a claim two days ago, it was horrible. I needed roadside assistance because I had a flat tire. I was not waiting for a tow and only hoping that a truck could come that would provide air that I could put in my tires, so it was nothing major. When I first signed up, I got a welcome book with a card on it inside and the ID number was there. America Auto Care also has two separate numbers on the card. One is for the customer service and one is for the roadside assistance. But when I called the number for roadside assistance, they were unable to get to my account because I didn't have the number that they were looking for. They were looking for another type of number, so what I had on the card was not enough.
I called customer service and asked for the number and they gave me the number. Then I called roadside assistance back and they tried to look up my account again, but it didn't work. I had to call customer service back and they gave me another number. But when I called roadside assistance again, they still couldn't find my account. Customer service said that they were gonna email roadside assistance and get everything under control. Finally, someone called yesterday and said that they would send a truck out. I tried to call them back and tell them not to send one, but no one ever came anyway. I need to have my car taken in for repair now, so I’m going to make a claim and I’m gonna see if they can get this done. I really hope that they can get everything situated because I’m getting deducted once a month. If I can’t get any service in, I need to sign up with another company that can better assist me.

Look. I am the only one working in my house and I am sick with lots of medical bills. I told them that I had to think about buying the warranty, but like others they said if I hung up now I would not be able to call back to and buy this warranty. I felt pushed. Now after I give them my information and card number I was assured by them if I wanted to cancel I could. After checking my financial status I called back to cancel and away we go. One rep after other kept talking to me, saying they were helping me but all I wanted was to cancel.
They kept giving me lower monthly prices. No one wanted to help me cancel. So I said I am going to my bank the next day and talk to someone about stopping payments. See no matter how low they quote the monthly payments, I can’t afford it. Now after reading this one lady experience I am going to call them again before going to the bank and demand my paperwork for cancellation, because I still have a few days before my thirty 30 days is up. The sales rep told me if I hung up without a purchase that I could not call back later and buy a warranty through them. I felt rushed into buying on the spot so I asked a ton of questions and she repeatedly told me that certain things were covered and I could just call and cancel within 30 days and get a refund if I decided not to do it later. I was very specific in my questioning. When I got the paperwork a week later there were limits all over the place on things she assured me I would have fully covered. I was agitated so I called to cancel. Then the nightmare started. They said my refund would take 3 days and I would be contacted by someone who would help get it done.
Days passed and all I got were calls from other reps trying to resell me the contract. I became proactive and began calling daily, trying to get my refund. Always getting a response saying that someone would contact me that day. Then I got lucky and one rep mentioned paperwork... Ummm the first sales rep said just call and NO one had ever mentioned cancelation paperwork before. Turns out they had a form they needed to be filled out and never bothered mentioning it to me, stringing me along towards the end of my 30 day cancelation period. They have repeatedly been vague and unhelpful (aside from that one rep) and aside from the first call have felt like a scam the entire time!

I had to wait all weekend to get approved or not approved for an axle that should be covered on my plan, but they are telling me that it was not covered because it seemed like a pre-existing issue.
I have the Enhanced Powertrain Coverage so all of that should have been covered. When they called my mechanic, he told them that the axle is connected to the ball joint and he said that it makes no sense to totally replace with a brand-new axle and leave the same old ball joint on there. America Auto Care lied to me and I don’t like them. I only had my account with them for about five months. I got a 2008 BMW and had an extended warranty on the first couple of years. America Auto Care called me before my extended warranty ran out and asked if I wanted a warranty service. We talked and I told them that I'd try them out.
First time I had problems in January. I went to my local BMW dealer and the person there told me that it was gonna cost me about $400 to take care of that. I told them that's no problem as I got an extended warranty with American Auto Care. We called America Auto Care, but they told me that they don't cover the issue as it wasn't covered in the contract. I don’t like that and got very disappointed in them. I told the rep, “Why do I need you then? I don’t need you. You’re fired.” The rep gave me all the excuses on why I need them. But I said, “No, I don’t need you.” I'm very dissatisfied with America Auto Care. I had a Platinum coverage and thought I had the top of the line. The next time that they intend to sell something, I will need to go through the contract to be perfectly clear on what they're selling me.

Reading the fine print from America Auto Care, it seemed like it was a good plan. I needed a full warranty coverage, and the way I read it, they were giving me full warranty coverage but I just had to spend a few thousand dollars to get stuff repaired. While I was under the original car warranty, all I had to pay for was the labor. But this time, it was parts and labor. Apparently, this gasket, which caused the pump to go bad, wasn’t covered because it was a wearable item. And because it caused the pump to go bad, the pump couldn’t be covered because the wearable item wore out, which is dancing on technicalities.
I ended up having to pay for the two pumps, one of which cost $800, the other one cost $500, and also the seals, and the labor to put it all in. This really made me feel like my full warranty coverage, which I thought I was buying, was full of bull. I'm trying to find somebody else that will do it. I've been with America Auto Care for a few years, and this was the first time I've ever called on them for repair. The rest of the time, they were such minor repairs that I took care of it. I needed something because my vehicle is nearly 13 years old. I wanted something to protect me against any future incidences of repair or a breakdown. After looking at five companies, I went with America Auto Care for the cost and the perceived coverage. The representative was also very thorough and clear when he explained what would be covered with my service. At his direction, I obtained service that seemed like it would cover any upcoming repairs. But there are a couple of things now that put me in a position where if they are not resolved, I may request for this policy be cancelled.
At this point, I have a pending claim that has been rejected. My mechanic got back to me after about a week and he had a laundry list of repairs needed for the vehicle. But America Auto Care is saying that they won’t cover the repairs and the funny thing is I don't know why. There are mechanical repairs that have to do with driving the vehicle but America Auto Care said that the only thing that they would cover is the turn signal indicator. I didn’t even have a problem with my turn signal though.
I've had the same mechanic for 15 years and he's trying to back me up. He is investigating it right now. He has the policy with the hopes that we can get it resolved. The simple math that I am doing is this. I pay $3,600 for the warranty and my mechanic submitted for about $4,900 in repairs. Effectively, there is a $1,300 difference. If somebody is doing the numbers on that one policy and saying that this person has outlived the benefit of what the policy is paying so they're not gonna cover it, I need to know upfront so I can cancel the warranty.
I think America Auto Care will fall back on the legalities in the contract. The reality of it is there needs to be specific and plain language surrounding what is and isn’t covered. There should also be examples given upfront. Effectively, I needed as close to a bumper-to-bumper warranty as I could get on a nearly 13-year-old vehicle. But I don’t feel like that it was explained in as clear terms as it could’ve been. They should have let me go into this with the benefit of all pertinent information. Then we could have come to an agreement. I would either take their services or not based off of that. Because if they were unable to offer what I was looking for or some reasonable facsimile of it, they should have just said it. If all they were looking to do was to close sales, then they didn’t really make a sale because I’ll cancel the policy if I’m within my right to do so.
I got the warranty in August and I haven’t done anything on this policy. The payment is automatically deducted from my credit card and I pay the credit every month. And yet, I don’t enjoy what I’ve paid. Now, when I need the warranty, they are saying they don't do certain things. If the warranty isn’t going to suit my needs, I would like to have my money refunded. However, if they would like to keep the $3,600 that I’m paying over the lifetime of this policy and execute the repairs, then I’ll happily keep it. Then there’s no issue.
Another thing is that I have vehicle coverage and I need a vehicle. But they only pay for four days and I was hoping that I could stretch it as long as I don't need the vehicle. I've been without my car for two weeks now. But my kids have been out of school and the days have matched up. I don’t feel like paying for a rental vehicle and if I do have to pay, I wanna pay as little as possible.

I bought a used car and I was looking around to insure it in some way. I went to a website, put in some information, and started getting a huge number of calls. A few of those calls were from America Auto Care and they were offering some things that I kinda wanted. The rep was a professional person and he spoke well. He addressed the company in a way that a person who wasn't a skeptic would probably have fallen in love and moved on. However, he didn't differ from everybody else as far as some of the tactics that were used. He told me that the clock was running down and I needed to make a decision right there and then. He also said that there were only a few companies out there that offered what they had and if I didn't take the offer he was giving me at the time, I was gonna get a higher rate if I called back later. That annoyed me a bit and I told him that I don't respond well to that.
When we talked, the emphasis was placed on the sale and he didn't tell me how to submit a claim with them. He kept offering different policies while I was on the phone with him and said that if I didn't take the offer that he was giving, it was all right. But if I decided later on that I wanted to do something, the next person or company that I would speak with would want me to take my vehicle somewhere to have it inspected prior to offering me anything because it would look like the car must be in mechanical failure. He made it seem as though I would create a scenario with someone who would wanna inspect my vehicle before they would insure it.
Then the offer dwindled down to the policy that I have with them now. The packages kept changing and they kept lowering in price. Initially, the rep was saying that there was an initial payment of $300 and some dollar. From there, it became around $116 a month and that particular policy was just bumper to bumper where I could drop the vehicle off then they would do whatever and even provide me with a rental car. I told him that I didn't know if I wanted to drop $300 with them that day and that I had no idea what they actually covered. From there, we dropped all the way down to a policy where there was a $100 down, around $91 a month, and 45% of the repair.
I've been with America Auto Care for several months now and I'm looking at going to a different company. I ended up with a policy that I'm being told as somewhat a substandard-type policy where for what I pay monthly, they will pay less than half if there was some type of mechanical failure that they needed to pay for.

There was one where I could pay throughout the four years that I have their coverage. I could pay it any year without having to pay it in a year. A rep I dealt with was knowledgeable to me. He said how much it costs, what I'll get and the payment options. I have an extended car coverage with America Auto Care after being with a couple of different ones and I’m glad that we chose this company. I heard that America Auto Care had approximately 96% ratio on paid out claims. It’s one thing to see reviews of happy customers, and in my opinion, they’re reviews of happy customers that are just starting off with the company. But when I see paid out claims happy reviews, it’s exciting because it’s one thing to be with a company for so long and then they stiff you. I ended up getting the advanced auto coverage. The great thing was that there was a special promotion that we obtained from them. We pay the coverage plan for 18 months and then we’re covered for five years.
I had a problem initially when it came to trying to find out where the roadside assistance number was. I looked all over online for it, but then, it was in the pamphlet the whole time. It would be nice if they had a payable and upgradable feature that I could pay a bit more for roadside, like if I wanted to be covered for more than just 15 miles of towing. Other than that, I’m satisfied knowing I’m in good hands with America Auto Care. They were very accommodating in hearing me out.

Then, somebody called me and told me that my payment was not paying them. I had to give her my confirmation number, but she never noted in the computer that the billing information was wrong, so I'm sure that they'll be calling me next month and will be telling me my payment is late.
The payment is automatically taken out of my bank account and the rep put in the zip code that I live in to get the billing and it got rejected. The zip code was wrong, so as soon as she called me, I told her to do what I would tell her to do and they will get the payment. I worked in the automotive business and the way I am, if you tell me bumper to bumper, that’s front to back, inside, everything.
There was one thing Dylan didn't mention me though. I don’t do automated payment plans on anything because I’ve been screwed over before. The last payment I called in was the first time someone told me they were charging $2 just to deal with you on the phone. I was like, “Wow. Really?" No one explained that to me from the get-go. I was told that I can make my payment over the phone but tell me that I’m gonna be charged upfront so at least I know what I need to do. I was really perturbed about that because if I don’t know that stuff, then I shouldn’t be charged because no one told me upfront. I didn’t pay attention to the first payment and they also didn’t mention that to me when I made the payment. So my payments are $153 a month and I’m getting charged $155. But overall the experience has been good.

I put in for somebody to call me on Google search and I had a couple of people call, but I didn’t trust them. America Auto Care had better coverage than others that I had looked into. It’s comprehensive and it’s $100 deductible. I got the book and it tells everything they cover. I’m also paying monthly interest-free for 18 months, so it's awesome. They take out $147 a month and I don’t even notice it.
I only talked to one guy at America Auto Care then someone else called back to verify. I told them that I go on vacations and sometimes I might drive 110 miles in just one day, and that I’m all over the place. I also said that I can’t be without this vehicle and I don’t wanna buy another vehicle because I have more grandbabies on the way. He was very helpful because he told me about the different plans. He said that there was this one plan that was a little more expensive, but it would be more comprehensive and, therefore, I wouldn’t really have to worry about anything. The plan does rental and if I break down at the side of the road, it covers a certain amount of rental every day until my car is running again. It was a good plan.

I had gone over my current warranty and my car is still brand new, so I didn’t want anything to happen and for me to not be covered. America Auto Care offered an incentive such as a maintenance package which was basically a $100 off brakes whenever I needed them. They also offered a discount on oil changes where they would pay 60% of the cost. Their rep called me back and our interaction was great overall. I understand his job but I don’t like to be sold nothing. He was a little persistent but what he was saying made sense after listening to him, and I went with it. He was very helpful. I had an auto coverage plan, but it didn’t cover everything and I’ve been dealing with these warranty companies for a while now. Toco was the main one I was dealing with until I had an issue with the car and it wasn’t covered under there. And then there was another one I was dealing with and I just canceled them about a week ago because I was paying for two. The one I was paying was $68 a month, but it only covered half where I pay half and they will pay the other percentage so I wanted someone where I would just pay the first $100 deductible, and then they’ll take care of the rest.
I looked at several auto coverage companies and America Auto Care just kept popping up on the internet. I checked them up with the Better Business Bureau, and the rating that they got really stuck out. I love my Chrysler 300 and I take care of it. I wanted the top-of-the-line coverage and I’m paying America Auto Care $100 and something monthly for it.
The rep I dealt with from America Auto Care was fantastic. He played a big part in making me feel comfortable with going through their company. A lot of these people I deal with just wanna try to hurry and get my business, impress me and get me off the phone. But this individual wasn’t like them. The representative answered my questions so he was great. The questions that I asked were in reference to what I had already researched and stuff on the web and he answered those. America Auto Care is a top rated company because I don’t wanna be paying for any extended warranty but you gotta have something when you’re dealing with each car and the mechanic.
When I first signed up, it was with one of my credit cards and I didn’t wanna use that card. On the second month, they deducted the money. On the third time they tried to deduct it, they couldn’t so they gave me a call but I was meaning to call them because I wanted to change that card. I've taken care of it over the years and spent money fixing things here and there, but I like the idea of somebody else having to pay for it. And from the consumer reports that I did get information on, America Auto Care seem to be very good.
I got a premium and the representative was excellent. But the one thing he did promise me that I haven't received was free oil change and a couple of things. Also I did not know I had the 30-day and 1,000 miles waiting period when it was initially sold to me, and my breakdown happened about three weeks later, which I didn't expect. We were out garage selling and the fuel pump went bad. I was headed back to the house with it and the guy across the street works on cars and he's certified to do all that. I said, "Great." But apparently it wasn't covered so that was a bummer. I'll be lucky to have 1,000 miles on this truck in six months because we only drive it on the weekends for garage sales. So I went ahead and had it fixed. It costed me about $600. I should've been told about the waiting period. That was not to my knowledge that I remember.

My 2014 Toyota Corolla is one of the most reliable cars on the road, and yet I went with an extended warranty just for the peace of mind. Well, that turned out to be a terrible mistake. Last week, I made my first claim for $600, due a failed rear wheel bearing. I called America Auto Care repeatedly trying to reach a claims representative. Each time, I endured extended wait times (in excess of 20 minutes per call) and after FIVE DAYS (and this was five days without my car), I was told that the claim was denied.
Throughout this ordeal, I called the Toyota Dealership (who was doing the repair) and they told me that they were also contacting America Auto Care repeatedly, and each time, AAC said that they were going to call me, the owner of the car. Not once in five days did this company call me. Save your money. This company cannot be trusted. After this experience, I went online in desperation to find a way to contact the company's owner or manager and was unsuccessful. Is this a real business or just a shill? Their website has very little information. I wish I'd seen this website *before* I gave them my money. I'm disgusted beyond words. I'm a 63-year-old man and I am very careful with my money, but AAC ripped me off thoroughly. Shame on them.
