I’m very disturbed and unhappy with Endurance Auto Warranty. My air had suddenly gone out on me. So I took the vehicle in and the mechanic made contact with Endurance. They made us wait almost a week for a decision on whether or not they were going to fix my air. The car was sitting there and I was inconvenienced. I was eligible for a rental vehicle because of the hours associated with that repair. So, I actually went to pick up the vehicle and drove it a few more days until we got word from the warranty company. They basically blamed it on COVID for the delay and the fact that there were so many other people with broken air at that time.

My mechanic started working on the vehicle and he discovered that there was another issue with the HVAC system that needed to be addressed and he needed to get the door actuator. Endurance denied that, and I had to pay for that in excess of $300 out of pocket. It clearly stated in the warranty booklet that they provided that they would cover actuators. But the person on the phone tried to argue that it was a door actuator for windows.

In the interim, I had told my mechanic to do the oil change and rotate the tires and tried to put some money into the vehicle. I haven't had the vehicle for a full year yet so I’m trying to put some TLC into it. So I added extra things for my mechanic to do. I ended up putting out more money into the vehicle than the warranty. I spent almost $1,000 and Endurance spent about 800, but they didn't wanna cover the complete repair. I’m not very satisfied. The car is still in the shop. From the time I took the car in and all the hang-ups with getting it approved and then I’d go to this person, this and that person. It was just like I was at the DMV. It just didn't feel right.

I tried another company and at that time, the epidemic started and I did not have enough money. The guy did not even tell me what kind of services they were gonna offer me. They just said, "Can you afford this? Oh, you can't. Well, how about if I drop it down, can you afford this? Okay. You can afford $50 today, can't you?" I told him to forget it and hung up.

The gentleman from Endurance sat down, told me all the services and the amenities they provided, who I could call, and what they were gonna offer me. I got a text on my phone and I got emails sent to me. Everything was the way he said it was. There were no questions, no hard sales, and no being rude. He explained the cost of all that.

He asked questions because I'm a type 2 diabetic, I'm 65 years old and I'm on social security and Medicare. He looked at everything possible and got me the lowest possible monthly payment that was available. He told me, "If you could afford this, here's my number, let me know. We're here if you need us." Apparently, he wasn't a salesperson, but he was a person in charge of the benefits and the questions. He gave me the perspective on everything that they were providing. When I decided I wanted to do it, he put me with a salesperson who got me everything and I ended up paying exactly what he said I was gonna pay.

I went with Endurance because of ConsumerAffairs and when I called the number, a rep called me back. I gave him information and he talked to me a bit about how it worked then I asked questions and we did a debit account payment. He said he was going to send me some information in the mail, so I can have something written, but I never got any paperwork. They might have given me something, but with the mail going the way it is, I have not received it. If I had to call, I would have to go Google it because I have nothing. I also have nothing saying that I have Endurance, except it’s coming out of my checking account every month. Still, the rep was courteous and professional.

I have continued to pay my monthly bill even through all this trying time and it was still denied reimbursement of my repairs. This is the worst company in America. Something just said, “This is the one you want.” So, I went with Endurance. They answered everything I asked. They didn’t hesitate and did exactly what I was expecting. The only thing was, I kept asking them what it runs monthly and they kept trying to sell me. I was already sold, I just wanted to know the price of it. And then we talked about that, finally.

I had a horrible experience with these guys. I'm discussing my options with an attorney to recover the cost of replacing the transmission in my 2014 Silverado. They denied my claim saying the condition was pre-existing. The garage that installed my new transmission, Northeast Transmission, totally went to bat for me arguing that the damage could have happened in 1 day or over 3 months and therefore wasn't necessarily pre-existing. I satisfied all terms of the contract including the 1k mile/30 day wait period as well as Endurance's endless requests for invoices of services having nothing to do with this issue which I happily produced. Horrible customer service. They've tried silencing me twice by offering a new contract with a gag order attached and another letter offering the return of my premiums also with a gag order attached and refused to reply to my BBB complaint. I’ve been trying to make a payment on the thing and I can’t get through on the app. The app keeps saying something happened, so the app doesn’t work. Then when I called, there's nobody in the office for the payment. Having a warranty is a security in case something happens, and it works well with what's going on during the Coronavirus because the deductible is cheap.

The specialist I dealt with was definitely professional and courteous in doing his job, but he tried to sell me more insurance than I wanted. Endurance is one of the more expensive auto warranties but they spread the payments out longer so it's a smaller monthly fee. The fee is directly tied to how long the car is kept. If I sell the car, I can pass it on to them and they can keep paying it, or I just cancel it. The reps were a little bit cold, just very business-like, but they were very professional. When signing up, the information they send is more about how they treat the information and who they are. There isn’t any indication of this is what to do if there is a claim. I had to nose around on the web to find out how Endurance would actually even file a claim if the service is needed. Also, there should be a membership card to show a mechanic or a rental company or the tow truck driver.

I have a newer car and it's a diesel which is more expensive. I wanted a warranty just to have a little bit of extra peace of mind and knowing that if there are gonna be repairs that I would have a company. I spoke with Martin and he was a good Endurance representative. He kinda advised me about the product and told me the general ins and outs. I was given two options for payments. It was either pay monthly or pay all upfront. I elected to pay monthly. It was a $208 deposit and the rest of it was $90 or $99 a month.

The one thing that they didn’t specify or clarify is the vouchers. They said they were gonna give me a $500 voucher. But no one explained that it was broken up into two segments of $250 at semi-annual increments or that you have to go onto this website to do things specifically like make selections and kinda go through all that hassle. It was presented to me as if it was going to be essentially a gift card that I could just use like one of those prepaid debit cards. Knowing that upfront would have definitely been a difference-maker with my decision to purchase.

I've always bought used vehicles and an extended warranty from the dealership. But the dealership didn't offer what I thought was a fair price for one. I started searching around and I called a couple of places. I started searching online and through all the reviews, Endurance seemed to be the better of all of them. The rep during purchase was very helpful. He gave me three different options for payment. He explained all the ins and outs of the warranty, what it covers, what it wouldn't cover, and what my part of it was as far as I need to do the maintenance on my vehicle. I can't just assume that I'll never have to change oil again, and then the engine blows up, I'm gonna get a new motor. That's not how it works, so he was very informative.

If I have an issue with my vehicle, I'll take it to a certified mechanic. Normally, that's gonna be the dealership. I spoke about this with the rep. Most people don't prefer you bring the car to the dealer, but the dealer actually does. When you bring it to them, they know it's gonna get done correctly. At that point, it'll be $100. They'll go ahead and do a thorough inspection to see what actually the problem is and what parts actually need to be changed. I've used the extended warranty on another vehicle I had before and it was a very easy process.

If I didn't have an extended warranty and something were to happen, I don't have the money to replace a transmission. I'm a single provider of a family of five, and to be able to afford a brand-new car it's out of my price range for what I need as far as a truck and so forth. And in order for me to have something I can actually use, I definitely have to go with a vehicle somebody else has used. I don't know actually what's going on with it but having that extended warranty gives me peace of mind.

I have 2015 BMW X, I realized I needed an extended warranty after manufacturer's warranty had ran out, I researched the top extended warranty companies and came up with Endurance (although I did not like their short rental car benefit and the fact that it is an reimbursement, but overall they seemed like my best option). I purchased September 2019, the secure plus plan.

Fast forward to Sunday, 5/17/20, I was going to get something to eat and stopped at red light, heard noise when pressed brake, I pressed on gas to accelerate. I heard even louder noise. I immediately stopped and put hazard lights on, luckily I was in the lane closest to curve, so I got out and called for tow truck. It was a Sunday, so I had my car towed to in front of my house because wanted to contact Endurance to make sure they were ok with me taking my car to BMW dealer. I took off work, contacted Endurance requested tow truck and asked was ok to take to BMW dealer, they replied as long as dealers service department was certified to ASE certified that what was important, to which my dealer was certified.

So my car arrived at dealer 5/18/20. The next day dealer sent me a video diagnosing the problem, mechanic stated driveshaft broke and caused a crack in transfer case and crack in transmission and all 3 would need to be replaced. I had mechanic relay that information to Endurance, they said they will send out adjustor and would take 24-48 hours. I called Endurance 5/22/20 to check and see if adjustor had been out to look at video, waited on hold, for an hour +, then took option for someone to call me back, I did receive call back and there was no new info. I called again on 5/26/20 and was notified adjustor had turned in report, but they need to discuss report with mechanic. I called mechanic and ask can they please call Endurance because I want to get this process started.

The next day my mechanic called and said Endurance approved claim for driveshaft, but denied claim for transfer case and transmission. He stated he does not see why they would deny, and cost was probably the reason. I immediately called Endurance and they said adjustor denied claim for transfer case and transmission because of a worn universal joint. They said universal joint was worn and because it was so worn I was driving on a faulty part, stating continued operation, I kept stating that made no sense, there was no way they could determine nature of universal joint and also the universal joint is covered under the contract.

They just kept stating continued operation, as if I knew universal joint was going to break but kept driving on it, I had recently had car checked at BMW in September 2019 and there was no report of anything that was wrong with my car. So that assumption was wrong. I kept asking how did this make any sense, then I requested to speak to a supervisor, they said they were in a meeting and will call me back, that was 5/26/20.

I called back the next day 5/27/20 and was told again supervisor was busy and they would call me back, no call back, tried again on 5/28/20, same thing, I came across ConsumerAffairs' website was going to write a scathing review, but I saw where there was someone replying back to positive and negative feedback offering a number, so instead of writing review I said let me get number and call. I spoke to someone and they said my case was under review for managers to look at it and someone would call me back that day for sure. No call back that day. I called again Friday 5/29/20, the same said a manager/supervisor would call me back.

At about 5pm Friday, I did receive a call back from manager/supervisor. He basically cited the same thing about continued operation and pointed to clause under filing a claim, but I said that does not apply, because as soon as I heard noise. I stopped operation and put my hazards on. After about an hour of me saying how the denial did not make any sense, he offered to have his guy source use parts and maybe different place to my car, but I would still have to pay for the two parts because they still refused to cover claim. I said ok, hoping they could find cheaper and decide to cover, that was 5/27/2, it is 6/3/20 and I have not heard any response back.

It was explained to me that if I get stuck away from home that I would have hotel and food coverage. I also like the roadside assistance and towing included. They answered all of the questions I had at that time, and when I found a few more questions, I called and it was answered right away. I'm very pleased. The payment is very reasonable, but I called back and changed the payment due date and I was told they could do it. I wanted it changed to the 4th instead of the 11th. But they still haven't taken their payment out yet. I would highly recommend Endurance.

It's a smart idea to get it. I was trying to see which extended warranty has the best rating. Endurance was second in line, so they gotta be good. Talking to their rep was excellent. I just loved him. He explained everything that I was getting and what I really needed, and it was very important that I get it. He sound like he made me very comfortable, not like he was rushing. He just bade his time and gave me choices. I don't like anybody pushing everything on me so he was good at that. He also told me about the coupons I’ll be getting in the mail.

I freaked out a few days ago because I got a letter from them saying that my premiums are going to increase from a 150 to $500 annually. But apparently, that’s just something that they like to send out to get you to buy it. I didn’t get much information about how to file claims, but I got the bumper-to-bumper warranty so I assume that that is going to cover everything. I hope it does because that’s the name of it. And the rep said there was a $100 deductible. That was pretty helpful. Also, she seemed fine, explained mostly what I needed. The warranty didn’t kick in immediately. It kicks in 30 days later. Obviously, I had to wait for my information. But they are friendly and it has been what they said sounds like it makes sense. I’m just a little skeptical. When I did my research, Endurance came up as one of the top ones on the internet. The price was also decent, which was why I thought they were the ones to call. It was great calling them to get it set up. I expected that it was gonna be a sales sort of feeling, so I had no problem stepping into it. They were very friendly and nice on the set-up. I asked all the questions from the beginning. I asked, "What if I if this doesn't work and I cancel it, is it a long-term contract?" So, I knew, stepping in, that it was easy to cancel. But after I reviewed everything, I canceled shortly thereafter and that was very difficult.

I talked to somebody and they put me on the phone with a supervisor. They thought that it wasn't a good thing for me to do. Then, I talked to somebody else about why I was canceling. They weren't just gonna take no, which I understand. They're sales. But it was a little more aggressive than what I am accustomed to. They wanted to go through all of the details. They pulled up the contract and said, "Let's go talk paragraph by paragraph. Let me show you why you're making a mistake by canceling with us.” They also said that my car has so many miles and if I go too much further, I am going to be unprotected. They were talking to me like I didn't know what I was doing.

The cancellation process itself was not a simple phone call. It wasn't as simple as, "Yes, it's me. Yes, I'm verifying. Here's the VIN number." I had to get something printed and then I had to get something notarized. I took it to my notary at my bank. They looked at me and asked if I was kidding. They thought needing a notary stamp to say you want to cancel a warranty policy was ridiculous. Then I had to scan it and then send it back in. I wasn't very comfortable or happy with the cancellation process.

Buyer beware when it comes to understanding what's really covered. The vehicle that Endurance's warranty covers has to pretty much break for the warranty to be any value. If you hear ticking in the engine and take the car in for an oil check and determine that the engine is dying and needs a whole new valve job, it won't be covered because they look at that as preventative. If my engine was to seize, fail, and completely break, then it would be covered. There's an inherent danger in having to have somebody driving the car to completely fall apart and break for that warranty to kick in.

We decided to go out on our own to find a warranty versus through the dealership because I was told that the dealerships also try to make a profit off of the warranties. So, I just Googled top-rated warranties and Endurance was one of the higher ones. I called a few companies and we compared and that’s how we decided to go with Endurance.

They did a good job. One of the other ones that I tried to get a figure from touched back with me and they told me to go on Better Business Bureau and check out Endurance’s rating, which actually was not a very good rating. The people I’ve talked to are really good people. They did real good customer service and everybody seems real good about everything. They’ve stood behind what they say, until now. My truck went into the shop the day before because it started acting a little weird on Sunday and the mechanic looked at it. They said something about the transmission was messed up or going out. So he advised me not to drive it. It needs to be fixed.

Endurance came out, looked at it and said it’s covered under the warranty. Then I received a phone call from the mechanic shop. They told me that the good news was that it was covered but the bad news was that Endurance said that the tires were not factory wheels on the car. Endurance is not wanting to cover anything although they pulled money out of my account and paid for it with no problem. The mechanic shop’s talking to them now. He said that we have a good argument because technically, those are real stock wheels. Endurance didn’t ask me in the beginning if the truck has oversized wheels on it, and they’re not really oversized. Those tires might not specifically be those ones in the beginning when the vehicle was brand new. But that’s the way I bought it. I guess the tires came off a newer model.

The only things Endurance had asked me were about the cost of the warranty and if the truck was in good condition, which it was. I do regular maintenance on the truck, which the shop can tell them. The only thing is that they asked me if it had a suspension lift on it, and I told them it doesn’t. But other than that, I’ve had great experience with Endurance. I decided to get the warranty because everybody kept calling on my phone and then I saw Endurance on TV and I thought it might work.

I wouldn’t have shopped for Endurance had it not been for the dealership saying that that’s who they recommended, but I’ve told people to go ahead and look to see if they thought that that was a good thing for them. The place that I bought the car from doesn't have warranties. On their site, it gives a warranty company and that’s where I got the name from. I called to ask about this then I bought the policy before I even bought the car. They have good coverage and I already made my mind up that this was what I was going do, and I explained that when I called them.

In one of the sells, there was a $250 gift card whether you keep the policy or not. The salesman gave that same information to my wife, so I wasn’t mistaken. Come to find out there was no gift certificate. That was a big distinction that one would make and I wouldn’t like it but I can almost get it if someone was trying to get somebody to buy something. I’ve never been a salesman, but the guy gave me some information that he knew to be inaccurate. If he didn’t have the correct information in the first place, then he shouldn’t have taken the phone call. There’s enough people out there to buy the product too.

I can appreciate where the offer would seem more enticing, but the policy was already sold. He didn't even have to say that. I consider that as being dishonest for the purpose of a sale or for the purpose of anything. When I called back to take issue with it, there was another lady that did not know the information. If she didn't have the information about any of their products, then she shouldn’t be answering the phone either. I told them that if I misrepresented something at the hospital where I work, someone could die from it. I don't misrepresent things. That’s my reputation. I have a different job, but I have to be accountable for the things that I say.

When I called back again, somebody answered that knows what they were talking about. Still, I don't have a lot of appreciation for people that are in positions where they don't have to be accountable and they can just tell you whatever they want to tell you. When I tell people about my experience, I give them that information, but that’s not the information that I want them to have. It may be something else that they experience and I want them to focus on the fact that they may not get all of the right information, just for the sale.

I was browsing around and thinking about what I could do to warranty my car. It's a 2016, but I just bought it and one of my concerns was the expense on, not just the engine and the transmission, but also the electronics on it. I deal with a lot of vehicles at work, and I know how expensive it can be when it has to go into the shop for anything electronic, especially that computer.

The Endurance rep was really polite and nice to talk to. They weren't pushy like salesmen are. They just explained to me about the stuff. They really didn't have to say too much to me though. I already had my mind made up. I was going to buy something. Since they were recommended for this area, and they were pretty reasonable, I decided to purchase a policy from them. They gave me some kind of discount on their regular policy. I have to have 1,000 miles on the vehicle, plus 30 days before the policy would go into effect. But I don't expect to have any problems for a while.

The sales pitch seemed to go on forever. When we finally got to the bottom line the quote was $1600 higher than the dealer quote for an extended warranty. The Endurance quote was also for less coverage and a higher deductible. When I told the agent I wasn't interested and why he insinuated that I was mistaken, I didn't have my facts straight, then proceeded with the high pressure tactic of trying to prey on fear of future expenses, etc. At that point I hung up. I had the dealer's offer in my hand with the specs.

He was courteous, professional and was thorough with explanations. It wasn’t like a salesman-type pitch. It was just something that he knew and it was an easy sale. He put my mind at ease that if anything would happen, all I had to do was to make one little call and it would be taken care of. I purchase the extended warranty when I purchased my Rubicon back in November. I had to place a claim the first time to replace my driveshaft and after the normal process of confirming coverage and application, the drive shaft was covered and replaced. Here I thought, "this is a great purchase" but then I had an issue months later with my radiator and tie rod. The price point for the radiator authorized was well below what I could find online and what the mechanic shop was charging me so I was left to pay a difference as Endurance does not cover markup parts. I had my vehicle towed to another location for a second opinion which took the repair out another two days as the second company had to diagnose and the rental car was not covered the extra two days so I had to come out of pocket the extra two days on top of the difference I had to pay for the radiator portion they did not want to cover.

I called Endurance and spoke to a rep and Lead to try and get the extra two days covered for the rental car and I was told "No, the policy covers two days and that is it." I asked if an exception could have been made for this and I was told they would have to make an exception for everybody and I could ask them for future exceptions. This is a prime example of a warranty company that has exceptional marketing to lure the consumer in on the hook and limit its coverage on items it markets as having coverage for. I regret getting this warranty and wish I was offered another competitor when I purchased my vehicle.

I was searching on the web for an extended warranty and I looked at about four companies. Endurance was the main one that popped up and it was the most recommended. I liked the length of the warranty compared to everybody else and the price as well. Most companies offered me five years for the same thing but Endurance offered me seven for the same price, so it was a no-brainer.

It was very detailed when we went over the contract. I asked a pretty good amount of questions and their reps told me about what's covered and what's not covered, and my expectations on what they expect me to do as far as no modifications in the vehicle. That was really good and informative. I knew exactly what I was paying for since I'm buying.

Once I told the rep what I wanted to pay and what I could afford, he gave me the payment plan they had and I was like, "Yeah, I want that one." That was easy and simple. This is my first time buying an extended car warranty and Endurance meets my expectations thus far. It's been a great experience. I've already recommended them to a couple of my cousins. I wanted to get a service contract, but I didn't know who to get. There were so many of them out there that and you don't know what they were gonna cover and what they were not gonna cover. Somebody had told me about Endurance. I remember hearing about CarShield on TV and he said that Endurance was better. He also said that his dad liked them because they told him upfront what was gonna happen, what they were gonna do, what they would fix, and what they wouldn't fix.

When I was purchasing the warranty, the rep, Kathleen, was very nice one the phone and explained everything down to the end and answered the questions I had. She handled things very well. I felt very good when the rep explained the coverage to me. When you're alone like I am now, and people see a woman or a girl coming that doesn't know anything about an automobile, and right away, you feel that those people are gonna check me for everything now because I don't know anything. I can't answer them because I'm stupid. But Endurance didn't treat me like that. They told me what they were gonna do, and what was gonna happen and why. It was a very good and easy experience. I wasn't looking at the sheet of paper where I didn't know the questions they were asking me. Going into it, I wasn't that afraid because people have told me.

Setting up the payment was easy and it wasn't very confusing at all. They said, "We're gonna do this, this, this and this. What do you think?" There was a little bit of back and forth and we were all set. But I had to end up canceling because an emergency came up with my family, which took a lot of money out of my account, and I couldn't leave myself without anything at all. I asked the rep if we were going to start from the beginning when I canceled and called to get Endurance again at a later date. She said yes and not to worry about it. I was even told that my money was gonna be sent back to me. I haven't got it yet, but that was about a couple of weeks ago.

Making the payment was really easy. The down payment was either 245 or 225. I didn’t have the money at that particular time so the rep allowed me to do 100 then maybe 15 days later, he did the other 125 or 145. That was really nice. I start paying my payments at the end of every month. I love it. I had them send me a copy of what the warranty covered. It’s a little packet that they sent out. They emailed it to me and I printed it out. I have it in the car. Everything was fine. I got Endurance as protection just in case something happens. I’ve been very fortunate nothing has happened.

Endurance is a good company. They had the best reviews of the companies that I looked at online, which was why I chose them. The rep I spoke with was knowledgeable. Their purchasing process wasn’t bad at all. It's not much to sign up and it’s not much a month. However, they refused my claim. I took my car to one place to have it looked at. They drained the transmission fluid and put new fluid in. They told me everything was fixed. However, the problem wasn’t my transmission. A week or so after I signed up for Endurance, my car started acting funny again. I took it back to the place and they did the more extensive testing. They found out that it was my transmission.

Once my warranty kicked in, I called and had my car taken to some mechanic. The mechanic called and said they were denying my claim because it was a pre-existing condition. That being said, I understand it but I have to have my car. The guy’s still working on it and I’m gonna have to pay outright, but I am gonna keep Endurance. I hope that they honor their claims. But I did take a step-down because the mileage on my car was off. On the day I signed up, I didn't know how many miles I had. I estimated 70,000, but it was actually closer to 80,000. When the claim was turned in, it was around 85,000. That was a discrepancy, but I got that straight. I need to call and find out more in-depth on what is claimable and what’s fixable with them. But all in all, I haven’t had any problems.

Also, even though setting up payments was easy, they send you an email telling you your password, but they don’t tell you it expires immediately, so when you go to make your first payment, you can’t get in. There are no instructions that say that as soon as you get the password, you have to change it. I log in and make my payment, input the password, print it out, and keep safe for my records. I go to use the password and it’s no good. I called and the lady said it was expired. They should have told me I had 24 hours to change it. Still, I just made my payment and I’d recommend Endurance.

I have only ever purchased brand new vehicles and I noticed that as soon as you drive brand new vehicles an awful lot, they're worth a lot less. So, finding a slightly older vehicle that I actually liked seemed kind of scary because I have to worry if I was purchasing other people’s problems. I didn't know that in purchasing a used car, you can also purchase extended warranties just like you would if you had a new car. Finding that out was kind of a good reason that I chose to go that route. Knowing that there was stuff that I can purchase to help alleviate some of the repairs, makes purchasing a used car a little bit more valuable than just automatically getting a new one.

My mechanics at Volkswagen told me to look for something that covered seals and gaskets. Due to the pandemic, their finance office was not open at the time I was there so they gave me Endurance's information, which was kind of also a recommendation. After hearing everything that was covered, I felt they had more to offer than their competitors. Plus, the Endurance people that I’ve spoken to have always been really great and not pushy. I felt that knowing that your company isn't the type to say, "You need to do it now or it might be too late," was the most important when you're purchasing something you're really not sure if you really even need yet.

The rep called and asked about the car and the VIN number and the mileage. He also asked if there was any problems with the car and I told him that we’ve always done all the maintenance. There was some problem with the exact mileage even though I gave it to several people several different times. After my fifth call about the mileage, a supervisor called me because I was going to cancel my contract. But they solved all of the issues and assured me. I had a hard time justifying why a six-digit number would cause so much problems and I had all those phone calls asking the same question. After that was resolved, we received a contract. Since they stopped calling and stopped asking me the exact mileage, my experience has been much better.

My car is getting up in miles and I wanna keep it for another two or three years. Endurance Auto Warranty offered a better plan. They covered more and a longer warranty on the car. Most of the other plans were expiring at 150,000 and theirs was like 250,000 miles or somewhere around that. Due to the Coronavirus, everybody's working from home. So dealing with them was great. I've made two payments with them. I just put the second payment in the mail yesterday.

I have Googled for the best providers and I researched a total five of them before selecting Endurance. It seemed like it was the best deal to go with from what I was reading. The dealership I bought the vehicle from gave a two-year warranty that was supposed to come with it. The vehicle protection specialist was informative and he explained everything in detail to me. I like to have things in writing too and I'm still waiting on the package where I can have all the details on it. The main thing I wanted to be sure about was the drivetrain -- it turned 121,000 now. When you're not getting something that is new, it is a 2015 model, you definitely want some coverage onto it.

Having a warranty is new to me and it is something that my 92 year old father thought that was really important, so I thought I'd do it. It occurred like rattling a bunch of things up then when I found out that there was information on the internet that I could go to and I could look at at my leisure, I did a search on Google for the top warranty companies. In the various searches that I did, Endurance came up as one of the three top ones. I took my time and spent time looking at them as well as the other companies online, and they seemed like they were a good firm.

Out of the conversation I’ve had and then when I looked online, the different things made sense to me. I then called Endurance back and they talked me through my questions. In the beginning, they were trying to cover their bases and to let me know all of the different things that were being offered, but it would have been helpful if they would have just asked if I was familiar with something or if they could go through something with me. They eventually got to that, but initially, I was a little overwhelmed. The fact that I told them that and I didn’t feel I was pressured. That made me feel I could talk to them.

I wanted to make sure that I still had a warranty on my vehicle once the factory extended warranty expired. Endurance was the first company I looked at. I wanted to kinda get it out of the way. The first time I spoke with someone, it wasn’t very good. I understand that it’s a sales tactic to say that I needed to purchase a warranty before I could know what is covered. Whatever price is not guaranteed after. The sales pitch included, “We can’t guarantee this rate.” They couldn’t tell me what was covered until I buy it then I have x amount of time to return it. But why can’t they just tell me? It was ridiculous. What made it really bad was the senior sales rep didn't wanna even tell me like what was part was covered. She couldn’t really tell me anything about the warranty.

What I was understanding was that this was a way to pressure someone into purchasing something. I don't deal well with trying to be pressured or strong-armed into purchasing something so I didn’t really care for that and I declined it. But the second time I spoke with someone about Endurance was much better. It was a little more user-friendly. I was provided a copy of a warranty, knowing that no, it wasn’t my actual policy. It was all right. I actually got a better rate the second time. Also, making the payment wasn’t very hard. It was just the fact that I don't see telling someone that you can’t have anything in writing until after you buy it.

We just purchased a used vehicle that was outside of the factory warranty and we wanted to find something to cover us. I chose Endurance mostly because the information that I got came up from ConsumerAffairs site and I did some research from there. Once I called them, they had reasonable coverage and pricing comparison. I had a third-party warranty several years back for a different car so I had a feel for what it should cost. And as long as it covered the items that I wanted and was reasonable monthly, I was okay with it.

Speaking with their customer reps went well and it was pretty easy. We had a few phone calls and a couple of email exchanges. I made my first payment and that was easy too. They send you something in the mail that gives you the information that you need to log in and create your account. I went to the website browser to set up my account. It was really easy. I have auto-payments from there so I don't have to worry about it. It was an overall good experience.

I have had 3 claims in this 15 month period. They have disputed ALL 3. They paid 1 only after fighting tooth and nail with my repair shop (They won't let you speak to anyone who has authority to overturn a decision).

First claim I didn't put enough miles on my car for them to pay the claim. Cost $3300. Second claim they said there was a discrepancy in the mileage first. I proved that wrong so they claimed I hadn't changed my oil in a timely fashion. I proved that wrong so they finally paid for a starter to be replaced $600. Now I have faulty coil packs and wiring $800 they will not pay. Bottom line is they have a reason to reject ANY and ALL claims written into your contact. Now if I cancel my policy they will keep my money. I will cancel. I will lose money. But I will tell the world and warn others of this scam they call a warranty.

I told them the first time that I was just wanting more information and then I would get back to them. And the rep sent everything to me in writing, which I really liked so that I could review it. Then it was up to me to decide. I take my time whenever I purchase something, so I wanted to make sure that I had enough time to really evaluate other ones that are comparable.

I went through different things with them as far as the payment. If there was one it was my age. It’s a five-year plan but they’re asking for three years upfront. So I paid it off in three years. I was thinking through it like if it’s a five-year plan, why do I have to pay in three years? Why can’t I pay you over the five years? But I’m fine with that. I’m covered and that’s all that matters. I just wanna make sure that my car stays reliable. And then if you sell the car before then, you would get a credit.

I had a couple of issues with my vehicle so I needed to get a warranty. The car dealership that I went to told me not to get a certain car warranty because they had a bad experience with them that they didn't like pay so I got to looking into it. I looked up Endurance and everything I read seemed pretty good. I called them, got online with them, and bought the policy.

First thing, they told me that I had to wait 30 days and a 1,000 before I could actually use the policy. I took my truck to Kinsel the 30th day, with the right mileage on it, and tried to get a claim, but Endurance denied it. I felt like I was getting the runaround. The dealership called Endurance that day. Endurance told the dealership that they were going to have an adjuster to come out 24 to 48 hours to look at the vehicle. That didn't happen until Thursday evening or Friday. But the dealership said they still didn't see them, but they had a report in on it that somebody looked at something.

Then Endurance would only reimburse $150 for car rental. You get five days and it only cost you $30, but most rental cars right here go off for $40 or better. I got a rental car that would cost me $300. I haven't gotten a reimbursement on that yet, and if I do, it's only gonna be half the money. I'm basically coming out of pocket for everything. Even the tow truck that I tried to get on my policy, they were going to tow my vehicle until I told the guy that it was at the repair facility. They said to ask the dealership. They couldn't go there to get it. I had to go over the dealership and actually move my truck off of the lot for them to put the truck on a wrecker then bring it to my house.

With the total amount of about $1,500, I could have just taken my truck somewhere and got it fixed and pay for it myself. But it hasn't been fixed yet. I'm in the process of waiting on the dealership to call me 'cause they took my whole truck apart on the inside and then put it back together. I got a vehicle that I'm looking at my dashboard and sitting in the backseat of my truck. I can't drive with my windows down nor lift my windows up. Two of the people said they're working on something to try to get me to a shop that they recommend. I don't know yet if Endurance would honor my contract and actually pay for it. But I got a 2018 Ford F150 sitting in my yard right now. I'll just wait.

I had several options for the monthly payment and I decided it made more sense to get it paid off in a couple of years, then I wouldn’t have any more payments. And the policy is good for four years, so I would get it out of the way.

But they were a little misleading at one point. The rep I talked to said I would get a $250 gift card that I can use to buy things. But when I got an email from them, and every time I signed in to anything and ordered things, it showed that I was getting like a 10% discount or something and we still have to pay. I didn't get $250 worth of anything. I’m disappointed in that.

Everything was fine during the purchase of my Endurance warranty. I just don’t like that their pricing is more than everybody else. They worked with me but I know of an entity that covered my entire car with the exception of the wear and tear items. My entire car only cost me $1,800. With Endurance, it's $3,000. I recently had some work done to my car and it was a big old issue about doing the turbos on my car. I have a car with twin turbos. So, I asked the other company, “What’s the sense of me having you guys for coverage when you want me to go get my maintenance on the car, which you already have, all this stuff? This stuff is in the maintenance. And then when I gave it to you, I don’t hear from you for six weeks.” I called back and the excuse was, “We’re shorthanded and we can’t get to your case.” My next few words were not choice words because I needed my car repaired.

I had to pay for that out of my pocket. I told them, “You know what? I need the money I sent y’all. I need you to replace it.” So, they sent me back my $1,800. Then I called Endurance because my cousin has Endurance on her Jaguar. I thought I’ll give Endurance a try. I just got it and everything was okay. Their rep talked me on it and then gave me all the specifics. Their charge is astronomical, but I still got it because my cousin said it’s worth it. My car is in pristine condition. But I live in Michigan. So, up here, you got potholes. It’s ridiculous up here. The roads are not good.

Also when I got the coverage, it’s during the pandemic. Because there is a recession that’s happening now, I would’ve thought the prices would’ve changed because people are not driving their cars. I put my car in a highway, I’ve been nowhere this year and it’s this late. So, from January to May of this year, I’ve put only maybe 1,000 miles on my car. I’m a disabled veteran. I’m 50 years old, why not give me some type of discount?

My car has got 100,000 miles on it and I've taken very good care of it. I made sure that the maintenance was always done on it and I'm getting ready to do the 100,000-mile maintenance on it now. I checked with several extended warranty companies and the other companies were only offering a 150,000 miles to go up to that. But Endurance would go all the way up to 200,000.

And there were a lot of loopholes with the other companies. You had to meet certain requirements and have approved documentation before they'd even honor their policy. In talking to Endurance, they told me that as long as I'm going to have my 100,000 miles maintenance done on my car and keep my receipts, that'll be all I had to have. They seemed like that they were easier to work with and more upfront on what they were saying the warranty is covering. The other companies were very vague about specifics but Endurance was not. They flat out tell you what is covered and what isn't, which made it easier for me to understand.

They sent me a letter in the mail then I called them and they called me back. We spoke then we went through with the process. They have been very nice, too. With all this Corona stuff going on, I've been laid off from work and I don't know if I'm gonna be able to keep the policy up. I called them and I spoke to a guy about that the other day. I explained to him that I'm very worried, I'm elderly, and I have Social Security but Social Security covers my major bills. I have part-time jobs to supplement that and I was gonna pay my premium out of my extra income that I was making. But with the loss of my jobs, I've been very concerned about how I would be able to swing it.

When I took out the policy, I had no idea all this was going to take place and it's left me in a pretty financial precarious place. Then he told me that he was gonna waive the premium for this month to give me breathing room and give me a month to see what was gonna happen. He was very professional, very understanding, and told me that we would talk again in June when my jobs have opened up and I'm back employed, which I hope I will be. So so far, they've been working with me really well.

I looked Endurance up and they seemed to have one of the better reputations for after-market extended warranties on cars. There's plenty of providers out there and some of them are less than reputable. A lot of things that I saw that weren't paid for or somebody sits there and said they were good. Also, a couple of people I know that had Endurace never had any problems with them. Some of the other ones out there offer less for a lot more cost and there is no flexibility with them at all. I got the warranty for worst-case-scenario if something goes wrong, not to sit there and cost me more money than it would cost if the car broke and something went bad on it to get it fixed. That renders it pointless.

I've been looking into this for a month and a half. With this miserable plague, I wasn't gonna write checks with my ego that my wallet couldn't cover. The cost in the beginning just didn't make any sense. But the price went down and now, it's $104 a month for three years and I don't have to pay for the last two years. The warranty covers five years and that's 123,000. I also had a car before which was eight years older and has a lot more mileage on it. When I looked into getting the same kind of warranty on it, that wasn't worth it. It costs too much money. With Endurance, I only have so much flexibility with what I can do when it comes to paying for ca it but they kept finding ways to have me paying less instead of more.

This is my first car and when the warranty went out, somehow it was telling me to get CarShield. So, I ended up getting CarShield and I paid the down payment. But Endurance called and their rep told me that CarShield was with a red flag. He said they were not telling me not to keep CarShield but they were asking me to do my research on them and to call them back the next day. He also said that they were not rushing me and gave me time. He was great and he gave me a lot of information. Once I did my research, I dropped CarShield and called Endurance. I did my research on them as well. One day, I went to Brown's Volkswagen for something and they told me that most of their drivers go through Endurance. So, I ended up going with them and they had the better deal than CarShield. And when I called them the second time to pay the price for the policy, the rep I talked to was awesome.

Aside from that, making payments for my warranty was easy with Endurance, but it was difficult with CarShield. I paid them $99 and once I told them that I didn't want to go with them, it was hard to get my payment back. All in all, signing up with Endurance was easy and all around awesome. Then one time, I swapped the lights off on my car. My lights were supposed to be on auto but because I was in front of an apartment complex, I turned the other lights on, so it dimmed them a little bit. But I forgot to turn it back on auto and my car went dead. I called Endurance and they sent a tow truck right away to start my car. So, they've been good.

Her customer service wasn’t pressurized and she was thorough. Then, there was a follow-up representative that exemplified the same characteristics. It gave me a list of warranty providers. I gave Endurance a call and the rep was very friendly and informative. He explained everything to me. Then I got my contract sent in an email and I know they’re mailing it as well. So they were good.

From the reviews from other people, I decided to go with Endurance. It went very good with their rep during the purchase and they explained the benefits, coverage, deductibles, rental car reimbursement, and having an app to help with the process and make a claim more efficient. Overall, it's been a good experience so far.

When I talked to Endurance's salesperson, I found that they covered a lot of stuff. Purchasing their warranty was easy. I had a lot of questions but the salesperson was nice and he explained everything.

The representative was okay. He sold the warranty so he did his job. He explained the 96 bucks a month for 36 months. However, he didn’t explain the whole thing, as far as if I'd cancel the warranty if this would be on my credit, and would I still owe $3000 or $4000. I was reading through the contract and saw all of that. I wanted to talk with somebody about it. But overall, everything went cool and I had no complaints.

I told the Endurance rep what I was looking for, which was the bumper to bumper coverage, and he tried to accommodate me in every way. I talked to three different people before and other different warranty companies before I chose Endurance. As we were going through it, the prices kept going up. I said, "This isn't the quite price I was quoted. This is what I want." They gave me the price that was initially quoted to me. The price was the main reason I decided to use them.

The payment plan was pretty reasonable, but I hate bills and paid it off. And now, I'm covered for five years. It was a little under $3,000, while other people were offering $4,000 for coverage for two years at 60,000 miles. Others also weren't giving me the mileage and the coverage. Endurance would cover me for five years at 100,000 miles. I haven't had to use the warranty yet, but from what I read from my package, which came the other day, I'm pretty satisfied. My neighbor's car was always going into the shop and her warranty was out. She asked me about Endurance and I told her to go for it. She signed up for it.

Endurance seemed like a good program and when I called, they were very friendly and they went out of their way. And it seemed like a reasonable price. I couldn't pay up right away and they said to make two payments. They said it doesn't start until I get 1,000 miles and I have a month. They were willing to work with me. I had no problem with it at all considering that they were calling from home and stuff like that, which was probably confusing. They were very professional.
