We pay for this warranty about six years ago. Within the past three years we’ve had timing belt, water pump, exhaust manifold cracked. Under their contract it clearly states these parts are covered but when you call to have parts repaired they deny and do not pay anything. The dealer has called and argued with these people. We have called and argue with these people and they still refuse to pay for anything. They are a rip off. They take your money and run.

Because of the mileage I have, others wouldn't cover more than 5,000 or 10,000 miles. But Endurance had the plan that worked best for the age of my car and the mileage I needed. They covered 100,000 miles on the car. They were helpful in working me through the plan. I need to read through the contract more because there are a lot of caveats to it. But with the plan I have, they offer some perks like free oil changes. And if I get stuck on the road or I need to rent a car, a lot of that is covered. The policy is for five years and the upfront is three years where I'm paying for, and then I've already paid for the policy the last two years.

I canceled my policy with Endurance because I'm having problems with my transmission and I can't get it fixed. They told me that it's not covered. That happened on the 11th so I waited a couple days. I tried to file a claim on it and they told me that I couldn't do it. So, that's a waste of my money, me going through all of that, getting the extended warranty and still, I can’t get anything fixed on it. I liked everything that Endurance said but if I'm not getting what I'm paying for, that's not right. I put my money into it. I should be able to get what I'm paying for. My money just went down the drain and if I knew that I wasn't gonna be able to get the help that I need, I wouldn't have put down that kind of money in the first place.

Ever since my father had the Highlander, I took it to the dealer for everything so when it was time to have the CV joints done, it was covered under the warranty. The only thing we had to pay was the $100 deductible because it didn't wear out because of neglect and we didn't have that much mileage. It’s a 2015 but we only had 77,000 miles on it. That company was Endurance, which was the reason why I chose them.
I had just bought a 2018 Mercedes and it came with no warranty. The upkeep of Mercedes is expensive and I felt comfortable trying to have some type of warranty on it. I discussed it with my sons and they said that I’m not an abusive person and that I always take care of my automobiles. But it was for peace of mind and security. I liked that the salesman gave me his number and my son could talk to him. My son used to sell cars and after he spoke to the salesman, he felt comfortable. It was no problem at all signing up with Endurance and I received the packet. Then, I went online and they were naming some of the top extended warranty companies, and Endurance was in that top 10.

The web presence of Endurance is excellent as well as the initial and follow-up information that I received and the speed with which I received information from the beginning. It’s the consideration of what the person might need. The follow-up was huge and not normal. Especially when I compared it to what I paid in advance for with Safe-Guard Auto Extended Warranty. This was the opposite end of the spectrum as far as phenomenal service, which was why I stayed with it.
The capability of the people I spoke with in Endurance as far as their immediate access to information was excellent too. I had a conversation with my rep like he was my best friend. It was extremely professional but very personal and helpful. Endurance has a great product and they back it up. They service it phenomenally and I was well aware of everything that was going on. I signed up for the payment as an automatic deduction on my credit card and I saw it come through. Endurance gave me advance notice of what the company would show up as, which is excellent because a lot of times, they have payment services that go out and you don't know.

Endurance was more authentic. I got another warranty from another company and I mentioned it to the girl that helped me pick Endurance insurance. She wanted to compare it to what I already had on the other truck and I was convinced. She had a lot of good selling points and it wasn't forced or coerced. She was natural with it and I liked that because I don't like to be pressured into anything.

I had the worst experience ever. I filed a claim and it said that it had to be 30 days. And I have to drive 1,000 miles in order to file the claim. I went over the 1,000 miles and filed a claim after 30 days. And then, I contacted Endurance and they told me, “Okay. You would take it to an automotive shop.” I took the car and I received a phone call from the automotive shop saying that it was denied because I didn't drive 1,000 miles and I didn't file the claim after 30 days, which was a lie. So, I tried to contact Endurance. Nobody answered the phone in the claims department. One call had me on hold for an hour, and another call also had me on hold for an hour. It doesn't look like Endurance is a good company. It’s like a scam. They give people certain requirements, and when they meet those, all of a sudden, the claim is denied. Plus, they have been taking money from me.

All the customer service was great. I gave them all the information that I needed for my car. I did have aftermarket wheels on it and they told me to get the sizes of the wheels. So I emailed them the sizes and my timer for my mileage was supposed to start. Then a month later, they were saying that they never got my wheel dimensions and that they need to do it again. Then my mileage started again. We rectified the situation and it's good now, but I was a little frustrated about that. After that, everything is good so far.

Endurance was listed as one of the top companies for cars that are over a certain amount of mileage. The customer reviews were good as well. That was another thing that I saw that led me toward contacting them. The customer service rep I spoke with said that she had the policy herself and that she liked the warranty that she had. She was very friendly, seemed to be honest and knowledgeable, and very enjoyable to speak with. Everything went smoothly. Both the customer service rep and the person I was transferred to were able to answer all of my questions.

I purchased the advantage plan which was suppose to cover maintenance as well as repairs and parts. When my ac stopped working after a month I have been with Endurance the auto repair shop first told me I needed a recharge which I found out that Endurance would not cover when I called them. Then as the ac continued to blow hot air I took it back to the shop and they told me it needed a compressor replacement. I called endurance and found they would not cover the compressor which is clearly listed in the line item of the air conditioning they said they cover.
I asked to cancel and get my money back. They give me the run around before finally sending me this form that has to be notarized and asking for other needless information. They're a scam! They misrepresent their coverage. In fact I have no idea what they cover! They are crooks! And do not deserve for Consumer Affairs to be advertising for them since consumer affairs should be defending consumers. And I'm not sure why I have to give them one star. I talked to two different people from Endurance. The first guy was knowledgeable. He just didn’t tell me that the warranty was for 70,000 miles. If he would have told me that for the amount of money that we were talking about, then I would probably tell him no. He transferred me to somebody else. I talked to a guy that was a verifier. He identified to me how many miles the warranty was for. I told him I didn't want it. Then, he initiated a policy that is seven years, 125,000 miles. Then, he cut down the amount of money that I would have to pay for a month. So, I bought into it.

I talked to my dealer when I was up there having a warranty recall done on that same truck and he was familiar with Endurance. I asked if I would get my vehicle back or if I have to wait for a check in the mail for two weeks. He said that most people pay with a credit card. Most companies do. So, I called Endurance yesterday and asked those questions. They said that's what they do and that was my big concern. I don't wanna be without my truck when it's sitting in the shop after it has been fixed for a week or two, waiting for a check to pop up in the mail. But it’s a more comprehensive policy than what I had originally thought that I would be getting. I originally thought that it would be a powertrain warranty but they cover pretty much everything.

I did the premium policy where everything was covered. But when the train went on the car, they refused to pay for it. They said it was an existing condition, which at that time it wasn't an existing condition when I took it over. They also refused to handle something about a front end that had to be tightened. They refused several other things that would have to be done to the car, so I dropped them. I was not really very happy with them.

They made me wait two weeks for them to tell me that something wasn't covered under warranty... which is crazy because I specifically got the warranty because they said a common problem parts was covered on my plan... Tried to get it fixed and now they say it's not covered... They don't tell you that you have to get all kind of service records for your vehicle before they even work on your car... So you could be there a while depending on what they need from you... They disclosure a lot of information from you, just to get you signed up... I personally don't think it's worth it, that's why I had 4 of my friends cancel their policy also... Don't be fooled people... If it sounds too good then it probably is.

I liked Endurance because they'll help you maintain the brakes. They'll do oil change and some other little maintenance things. It's a smart investment. They might not have to get you an engine or a transmission down the line if they help change that oil and help maintain it. Even though they are a little higher, I understand because they help you with the maintenance. I also liked them because they are a first-party company. That was the main reason I picked them. They make the decision right then and there. They don't have to call anybody above them. With third-party companies, you have to go through somebody else then they call that person and they could say no. I like the way the contract with Endurance spells out everything so you know exactly what you’re getting. Overall, the company itself is good. The reps answer every time I call and are polite. There was one rep that I had a little friction with but I don’t hold that too much against her. She was tolerable.

This is the first time that I've ever had to get a warranty after my warranty ran out. But as expensive as stuff is getting, I felt like that I needed something to rely on. I had a claim when some cam sensors went out and when I took it to the dealership, I turned in my Endurance card but they said the sensors were not covered. The customer service totally sucked and the guy kept on showing up in my face saying that he’s a retired military and he didn't want to deal with it. It was one thing after the other instead of doing what he was supposed to be doing. Endurance looked for every excuse not to pay for the parts and I said, “Enough is enough.” My mechanic tried to talk to them and they had underlying clauses saying that they're not responsible for gaskets or seals. My mechanic says it's a sealed unit that caused the front end to go out on it and they didn't want to hear anything. So, I got rid of them. Endurance worked me out a payment plan of approximately 100 bucks a month for three years but the warranty will go for five. But what surprised me was that it's mainly maintenance. I got it for my daughter since her car is getting older now but she doesn't want to trade in or buy something new. So, I wanted to make sure she was covered and I wanted to get her something reliable. If she finds a certified garage mechanic when she moves away, I'm going to suggest to her to take advantage of the maintenance opportunities, like on the rotors and brakes. Endurance would cover for maintenance and she would pay 100 bucks on any repair. And if she had a breakdown or something that might cost $250 to repair, she would pay the first 100.

I have a Terrain with a downdraft and an updraft. It’s like a catalytic converter but it's called a diesel particulate filter, updraft, and downdraft sensor. The downdraft burned out on me. It was one of those things where you get so many miles to drive before you have to get it fixed. I bought the car to the dealer and he said that the downdraft sensor was out. It was a $250 part. The dealer filed the claim with Endurance and the next day I got an answer that it was denied. I had paid in for two months with them.
I called Endurance and asked what was going on. Their rep said that they don't cover electrical sensors. I told the rep that there are sensors that run that whole car. There has got to be 300 of them on there. That was the only reason I bought their insurance. He said, “Too bad. Tough luck. Pay for it out of your own pocket.” I had to pay $580. I told the rep, “If I have to pay this out of my pocket, I don't ever want to see your people or any of your paraphernalia or anything in my house again.”
That dude that was on the phone was one of the general managers and he didn't care. He was really nasty to me and he said, “Maybe we'll cover transmission. Maybe an engine. But you have to have that engine serviced by the dealer, 100%, every time. So, oil changes, anything that goes wrong with it, that dealer has got to cover that. That's all got to be in writing." I got online that night and I chatted with a guy in Texas. He had Endurance also for his diesel pickup truck. He said that Endurance sent an adjuster who looked at the vehicle and said, “It's a pre-existing condition. We're not covering it.” The guy had to pay $9,000 to get that motor rebuilt. I heard nothing but good things about Endurance when I first got it but it turned in to be a scam. I'm done with them. I'm supposed to be getting a reimbursement check sometime this week or next week. I'm just gonna roll the dice and take the $150 I was paying on Endurance and put it in the bank.

My wife and I leased a brand-new Chrysler Pacifica 2018. Because I had credit issues, they only wanted to put the car in her name. Then, Chrysler offered a lifetime warranty for 4,200 bucks. Sadly, Shirley passed away in February. So, I called Chrysler warranty and said, "I'm buying the car. Let's get it transferred into my name." They said, "Sorry, that warranty's non-transferable. Oh, and by the way, we're prorating it from the day you purchased the warranty." I said, "Are you you guys nuts? The car is still under the basic three-year, 36,000-mile factory warranty." I said, "You haven't paid a penny on a claim yet."
I ended up buying the car, and I was searching warranties, and Endurance came up and what they offered me seemed to be affordable. Being I'm a retired General Motors master technician, I've been in the automotive business for 50 years. So, I know the questions they asked as far as what's covered and what isn't. I asked if all the high-tech electronic components are covered. This has got the adaptive cruise control and all that, the radar, the sunroof, all the window motors and the seat motors. Those things are extremely expensive, besides the engine and trans.
They said, "Well, give us 150 down." It was $56 or $60 a month, and in two or three years, it will be paid off with no interest. Having the warranty gives me peace of mind. I'm 72 going on 73 and I'm not the person I was 10 years ago, much less 20 or 30 when I was in my technical prime of fixing cars. I'm at the mercy just like anybody else. I still have a friend that loves me and he'll feel sorry for me and fix my car. But you can't ask for everything. Also, he doesn't do trans or engine work. A big thing for these cars are their AC evaporators. That's a big job. So, the warranty seem to make sense to me. The agent that talked to me was knowledgeable, respectful, and tried to answer every question I had.
Based on my experience so far, I'm completely satisfied. I like that the company is based in Northbrook, Illinois. If I got a real beef, I will go to their front door and demand to talk to somebody about it, and they certainly ain't going to baffle me because I was a master tech. From what I understand, the way they presented it, there shouldn't be any issue. Working with GM and Cadillac, I strive for perfection and I hope that they do the same. Everything I've dealt with the company so far is 5. I was transferred about three times before it got to the nitty-gritty and them grabbing my checkbook and/or credit card to get this thing going. I thought it was a reasonable price.

They are asking me to do the work to find reconciliation on the mileage on my vehicle. The technicality they're talking about for me to get my car fixed, in terms of what they're showing in their system versus the odometer mileage, seemed like a lot of hoops for me to jump through. I told them I can find proof. My car still isn't working and I need it to get repaired.

But now when I have to go to the dealership, it looks like things are not exactly the same. I want to take some of my cars for inspection but one of my cars needs something. And I want to know if Endurance preapproved this dealership, which is here in El Paso.
I said to them that I want to schedule an appointment with them. In order for them to bill Endurance, they have to make a diagnostic. And after the diagnostic, they are going to tell me what is going on. They said I have to pay first and then, Endurance can claim back my payment. They were talking about $120 for the pure diagnostics and I said that this was not the way that I've been explained my extended warranty works. This is something that I want to bring it to the attention of Endurance because if I go to this dealership, I want to be sure that if I have to pay the deductible, which is $100, that's okay. But if they're going to say this is $120-plus for diagnostics, plus much more things, I'm scared. I'm very doubtful about how effective they are.

The lady from Endurance that helped me was very helpful. She explained the whole thing to me. She said there are certain things that it doesn't cover. I said, “I understand.” The maintenance and the normal wear and tear is not covered. She was well-advised of what she was telling me. Then when I got the contract and I was reading over, everything she informed me about is in that contract.
Some companies wouldn't even touch me because I had over 100,000 miles on my vehicle. That to me is a little bit crazy if you're wanting an extended warranty. All warranties cover just about the same thing. You can buy options with Endurance. You can buy the seal package and other packages where a lot of the other ones don't offer. It's an extra cost with Endurance, which is not a problem. They have centers that I can go to and I can go to any authorized mechanic. Get a repair approved first, and then they'll take care of it, where a lot of the other warranties won't even do that. There are certain facilities you have to go to, and I don't like it. I like to go to my mechanic that’s been working on my vehicle since I bought it.
I understand the Endurance contract and the initial 30 days. But that's everybody. Some of them is 90. But with Endurance, you can cancel anytime you want to for a fee where some of the other warranties, you're locked into a three-year warranty. I pay for three years for Endurance, but I get five years. That's another good thing that a lot of people don't understand. When they look at warranties, it's a three-year plans. Three years, it's over with. That’s even with Fords. You pay for three years, and three years and one day, you're not covered. With Endurance, I pay for three years and I have five years of coverage. I have two free years of coverage. Five years is good for any vehicle. It's gonna cost me about $3,900, which is nothing compared to some of the major things that could go wrong with vehicles that's not maintained.

Endurance was the one that was recommended highly on the website. Also, I gave a call to my BMW dealer nearby where I took the car to get the maintenance and I wanted to know if they have had experiences with them, and their reference was good. The dealership spoke highly of them. They said they take Endurance and they're good.
When I had signed up, I was dealing with two people. The first one was really extremely pushy. I was dealing with my son being hospitalized, and she was still trying to make me pay while I'm dealing with a family critical emergency. It was like, "You don't understand. You need to make your decision now or you're not gonna get this or I cannot assure you that by tomorrow the price will be the same." So, I said, "Listen, I'll call. And if that's not the price that I have been quoted, I just don't get it." Then, I told her she would have wanted to call me the next day. She took my number and she didn't call me.
I called Endurance myself and a gentleman answered and I explained what had happened before and he kept the pricing and the discounts. The first representative really gave me a very weird vibe so much. She was so desperate to sell it to me that I started having doubts about it. I also wanted to see how the contract would look. I was like, "Is there a way that I could see a contract so I can read through it? How does it work?" I just told her at that moment, "Listen, I'm dealing with a really bad situation right now. I can't." So, I just hang up. I waited like three days till things calmed down, and I called the dealership. They gave me the thumbs up in the sense of it's a good option.

I am cancellation both contracts - The goal of Endurance is not to help but to find ways to get out of paying for auto work. One of my vehicle's 2012 Nissan Sentra - they denied the auto repair shop for on a repair issue. The mechanic said the adjuster asked a series of questions which they really couldn't answer in the affirmative. It had to do with windshield's wiper motor failing and whether there was corrosion or rust found inside the motor or area where the motor resides. The mechanic could not affirm but there was no way to ensure that a car would not have wear and tear after several years. So they denied the claim for $500. Right after I paid in $4,000 on both contracts between the vehicles - and having never filed a claim on either contract.
So I plan to warn potential customers unless you know your car inside and out do not sign up with Endurance. Normal wear and tear on a car could mean a variety of things but buyer beware Endurance will do anything to deny your claim. This was a waste of money. I could have started a savings account and $4000 later had the funds to pay for my own potential repairs. Never again! Endurance is in it for the profit and not to help.

I work so much. I don't have time to work on my own vehicle. So, having an extended coverage will help me when I have to bring the vehicle to the shop instead of me fixing it. It’d be a lot cheaper. It will help cover any problems that may happen, and I also thought it'd be a good idea to try something new. I looked up extended warranty companies and there was a top five listing. I clicked on it. It had me answer my vehicle's information and it brought me to Endurance and two other choices. Endurance had the better rating. So, I decided to pick them. With the first contact, I got told some information. Then the second person I talked to must have been there for a lot longer than the other guy and he told me the correct information because the other guy didn't tell me all the information that should have been told to me.
My policy pretty much covers everything if any major things goes wrong like if my engine gives out. If the engine fails and my transmission fails, it will cover me. That's a big expense that would be tied to me as a fee that would dig out my pocket to give to a shop. I'd tell people to look into what would void and what won't void their coverage. I got a few information I had to fix on my vehicle to make sure that it was covered.
