Endurance was the first company that accepted my vehicle. The customer support and coverage are great. They cover me for my oil changes. I buy my own oil and they cover that too. But I haven't received the welcome package.

The Endurance gentleman was from the Chicagoland area and he seemed very knowledgeable. I spent a lot of time going over everything so I would understand what and how to file and what was covered. I had in mind a full coverage for the Cadillac and I’m going to get coverage on my Suburban but that's going to be limited.

I called Endurance and I felt comfortable with them, so I signed up. They took my money faster than anything else. The person I spoke with was very informative and polite. He knew how to answer my questions. Signing up, I would recommend Endurance. But I have a claim right now through them and I'm not satisfied with the customer service I've been getting.
I had a problem with my vehicle and I took it to a mechanic. He said that it was an internal problem with my motor. But he no longer did warranty claims. So, I took my vehicle to the dealership. That day, I called Endurance to let them know what I was doing and they said, "Okay," and they would get back with me. So, the dealership looked at the truck, called me and said, "What problems were you having? What were your issues?" I told them and they said, "Okay, not a problem. We're gonna go ahead and look at it." They looked at it and said, "Yes, your problem is internal and it is with your lifters. So, we will have to open your engine to see what's wrong with your lifters."
Endurance sent an inspector. He got there and said, "Okay. Well, let me do the inspection and I'll send this to the adjuster." This was on a Thursday when I took the truck. Endurance did not send the inspector out there until Monday, the following week, and it was on Thursday when the adjuster got back with the dealership and told the dealership that they wanted all the service records that they had on my truck. So, the technician that was working on it for me got a copy of the service records and sent them to the adjuster on that same day, which is a Thursday. The adjuster did not get back to him until the following Tuesday and said, "Well, now we need these papers." So, he said, "Okay." I emailed him the documentation he needed the following day, which was that Wednesday, and the adjuster got it. It was going round and round.
The adjuster he waits two or three more days before he responds. Now, he responds two or three days later asking for something else. The dealership sent it to him that day and he waited two or three more days to respond for something else. It was, "I want this now." "Okay, you got it." And they gotta wait two or three days before he responds. I was getting calls from the person at the dealership. And if he would get called, he would call me. If he did not receive a call, he said, "Well, it's been another day and Endurance has not called me back yet." "Okay, let me call Endurance."
So, I call it Endurance and they said, "We don't know how long it's gonna take the adjuster to do that, but he will get back to you guys as soon as he can." And that's all they would tell me. They would not let me talk to the adjuster because they said that the adjuster did not talk to the clients. They only speak to the automotive dealership, the technicians. They had someone that spoke to him and he has not called me yet. But he told me last week, "I will put this on my email. As soon as I get an answer from the adjuster, I will call you back and let you know how things are going. You might find out before I call you back. But in the case that you don't, I will call you back." We're going on a week almost and they never called back either. So, they had someone I could speak with, but it was not the adjuster.
And during this whole time, I'm without a vehicle and Endurance said they could not get me a rental until they approved the claim. So I said, "Okay. What do you need to approve the claim? They said, "Well, that's in the adjuster's hands." Another week went by and the adjuster kept calling the dealership. "Well, what about this and what about that?" So, they kept calling the dealership back, the dealership kept responding the same day, but it would take the adjuster two or three days after that. It took a total of three weeks before Endurance accepted my claim. I've been without a car for three weeks.
Endurance finally approved the claim on Thursday last week. So, on Friday, I got a rental and they're doing the rental through Endurance. I've got five days of rental. My five days is already up. I had an accident in the truck before on the outside. I had to get bodywork done to it. And Allstate gave me 30 days of rental. While Endurance only gave me five days. So, after today, I'll pay for the rental out of my pocket.
On Thursday, when the dealership got the approval, they went ahead and they placed the order. There are two ways that they could've fixed my vehicle. One was to open the engine, take everything out, clean, refurbish, remill it, and get the engine back to working condition, or just get another motor altogether. So, on my case, it would have been more cost savings for Endurance to just get the motor because of the labor it would take to rebuild my motor. My biggest complaint on that is, within one week, Endurance had already been told it was internal yet it took two additional weeks for them to finally approve the repair.
The customer service sucked. I am dissatisfied with the response that I received from the adjusters. "Okay, well, you're going to be the next one I get it and whatever line you came in, you're going to be then," type of thing. And I understand they have more than one project. But when they sent an email that says, "Hey, send this," and we send the email right back, because that's what the technician said. "I saw the email come in. He's asking for how often, how frequently did you do oil changes on the truck? And as soon as I got it, I attached your report and I sent it back to him within five minutes." If it came up on his screen within five minutes, he would say, "Okay, well, let me look. It's right here. Okay, let me get this done and get it over with," instead of putting me aside until he gets back to it. That's how it seemed.
I had another one of my vehicles with Endurance that I had just purchased. And because of what I was going through in these first three weeks, I canceled that policy and went with someone else because the person I spoke with couldn't give me any answers and I had to wait for the adjuster but the adjuster was not responding quickly. It wasn't a priority.

Endurance's price was right along with everybody else as far as not being too expensive or cheap. Their service agreement covered a little bit more and over the lifetime of the warranty, it seemed like a better plan. I really wanted something that would cover the drivetrain of the vehicle, mainly just for when I'm on the road, which is once or twice a year. The rep from Endurance was very professional and answered all my questions and told me a few things that I didn't think about asking as far as their coverage.

The sales guy and the money guy from Endurance Auto Warranty were both good. They weren't real pushy and they answered my questions confidently and satisfactorily. So, I canceled them and got Endurance. I just gotta read this contract to see if I want to continue or not. It's a month-to-month contract.

Endurance ended up gaining my business only because they were competitive in the online search. The Endurance people did a good job of putting on the website because I wouldn't have known about them because I was just searching for another auto warranty company. The other auto warranty company that I looked into is a pass-through but Endurance pays the people that do the work. The rep explained the parameters of the coverage. In reality, it covers a bunch of things but I don't know what it doesn't cover. Including that information would be more helpful than what it does cover. But Endurance explained what it is that they needed and they didn't need much. I did get an extensive portfolio of their information. But part of the mystique of this is they say you have to maintain your car. They should indicate what is required by Endurance to understand that the customer's car is in good standing and being maintained well.

I liked the coverages that Endurance presented. I did their Elite seven-year plan for my 2019 Ford F-450 pick-up. There's a month waiting period and I still have a few more days before I'm eligible to use the program. The program that I got has maintenance issues included with it, like oil changes. I was under the understanding in talking with the rep initially that those were totally paid for and there would be no deductibles. But once I got my paperwork, it showed that there is only a limited amount of money that Endurance will put towards those items. That part was not presented quite right initially. Somebody took some money out of my checking account and I couldn’t figure out where it is. They said they would make the withdrawal on the first of the month, and I would really rather have it at the last. I called four companies and the girl from Endurance who answered the phone and helped me get what I needed was the nicest one and the most pleasant. Everybody's nice when they're trying to take your money from you but she was helpful and didn't pressure me. I told her I wanted a policy and she said I could get this for that. I told her to give me the best coverage I could so she did. Audis are expensive and the top, best policy cost me $6,500, but I got it. I was gonna pay it up front but the rep suggested that I split it up and pay it off later. So, I did the monthly payments. I think it's auto. I have to call them because it was due a couple of days ago and I had put it up on auto pay.
I had bad experiences with extended warranty companies and I was gonna go with Audi with just the full coverage because it was expensive as well. But I was 600 miles out of being able to go with them because I hardly have any miles on this car. I hardly drive it. The dealership recommended one and the customer service was fine, but I didn't care for the finance people at the dealership. So, I decided to research my own and went with the best coverage I could get. I had a warranty company on my truck once and it went bankrupt, while my truck was in the shop, and I paid it in full. My lawyer said that a lot of these companies do. I don't care if I have fees on there. If they paid out a billion dollars in coverages, maybe they're gonna be going bankrupt soon. So I'm not going with them.

The Endurance rep explained the policy to me in great detail and spent extra time answering questions that I had. I was difficult to deal with because I've tried to ask questions, and I didn't really know what I was trying to ask, but she knew what I was trying to get to. She applied every discount that they had at that time and got me down to the point to where I could make my down payment in split payments. I could pay part of it that day and then a part the next month. Then she got my payments down from 127 to 88 per month.
I kind of had a surprise and a question this very day because I had a posting from them on the and the bank’s showing another one to come through. So, I had a little confusion to get a hold of the right people to answer that but I was able to request to speak to the person that sold me the policy. She remembered what we did and realized that even though she had made a note, she neglected to check one box, which didn’t make it the 6th of each month. So, she gave me the number of people to call and told me what to tell them. I spoke to them about it and understood that the one I made at the first month was, technically, it's the second part of my down payment, and my very technical first payment is showing due on the 22nd.
The rep then explained to me. If they set it off, it would be more difficult. So I could handle this one. Then she took me off of auto pay, so then I can just call. That confusion and panic for me was settled relatively easily. I appreciate everybody doing what they could or transferring to people who could do what they could not. I doubt it took an hour, and I'm satisfied.

Then when I talked with the agent, he was very professional and he let me know about the good things about Endurance and how they would take care of things if I was to have a breakdown. My service contract on my 2018 Dodge Ram was getting ready to expire. I wanted to have a good feeling that I would have some type of coverage. Dodge also offered something to me, but it was way expensive. I figured I'll get my bang for my buck and I can still take my car to the Dodge dealership and wave Endurance in front of them and say, “Hey, look! We couldn't do anything, but you still got to go ahead and service my truck.”
I talked with a couple of Endurance reps previously, and I definitely wanted to get back with them but I lost their name and their number extension, so then this other gentleman reached out to me and we started talking. I was on the road. I asked him if he would be patient and let me get back with him and he said, “Sure.” He gave me his number and everything and I called him back.
It was pretty encouraging to go ahead and sign up with Endurance. I haven't had any breakdown. I haven't had to use it. The 30 days hasn't passed yet where I can be eligible to go ahead and have anything done to it if something should happen to it. I didn't understand that part. Most of the time, when you're paying upfront for something like insurance, it's effective right then and there. With Endurance, you have to wait 30 days. I'm hoping it's gonna be well worth it. I haven't had to use it. I’ve already paid into it, and it's all taken care of.

It's been good with Endurance so far. The initial deposit was $224 but the premium is 108 a month, which is better than this other warranty company. Also, they do maintenance repairs, like tire rotation and brakes. My brakes are a little bit higher than the average brakes and I understand that they also have a budget but because of the make and model of some cars, they could stand to go a little bit higher.

Everything went good when I was signing up for Endurance. But when I was talking to the lady yesterday, I really didn't like her attitude when I let her know I wanted to cancel it. I wanted to get my money back. Right now, I can't afford it. It might seem simple to everybody else, but I know how things are with me right now and I can't handle it.
I got full cover insurance through Progressive. Then they got a little insurance up there at the Ford place where they take care of certain parts. When I was up there talking to the guy about it, he was telling me that they got something that’ll take care of like the brakes, the motor and the different stuff that they were telling me about Endurance. I had just made up my mind to just keep everything in one place, which would be at the Ford place. If anything happens, I'll just let them take care of everything. It was gonna be like a $105 a month that I would have to pay up there to Ford place. I am just gonna let them handle everything at the Ford place because I'm going through a little something right now and the cheaper that I can get things to work out for me, the better.
At first, I spoke with the guy from Endurance and he was nice. I let him know that he would have to call me back around by the 1st of October because I didn't have the money when I talked to him because I had just went and purchased the car. He didn't do a follow-up call with me. Another lady did right towards the end of September. And she's telling me that she could get me approved and she let me know what I was going to have to pay to get it approved. She broke everything down. She was really sweet.
Then, I ran into a problem and I really didn't want to get in. With the lady that I was talking to yesterday, I didn't want to talk to her about what I was going through. I just let her know that I was going to take everything to the Ford place. I was going to try to deal with them until I got myself straightened back out. I had to tell her about three times that I just wanted to get my refund back. It's not because I found anything wrong with the service but I just thought they said I had 30 days. I was trying to do it within the 30 days because the only thing that I paid on it was getting it set up. I haven't even paid my first monthly bill yet. I was trying to stop that before it got to that point and they got ready to take the money out of my bank account and I was gonna need it. The lady said she cancelled it. I have been checking my banking account, but it hasn't gone back in my account yet.

He understood where I was coming from, the concerns and my fears, like getting stuck in a car. On top of my insurance, he explained my insurance coverages versus the maintenance fees with Endurance, and that was what we were looking for. I'm worried about where did I send my payments to because I know it's coming up on the 28th. I've got nothing to send my payment to. I was looking for an extended warranty and I was mostly worried on the automatic transmission of one vehicle. I read through all the details of the contract with Endurance and it really seems like some of it could be used to go, "Well, you didn't do the automatic flush, so we can't cover that part." But there are some parts that you can't do that maintenance because that maintenance is what's going to ruin your transmission. Other than that, the sign-up process was way easier than I thought it would be and their reps were cool. It looked like the first guy I talked to was a little misinformed as he gave me some bad info on some discounts that I could get, but it was his first day on the job. Endurance had better military discount benefits. I was ready to move forward with them after the initial presentation, even though in most cases, I like to get at least two or three quotes before I make a decision. The product features were so much to my liking. Once I had heard the second quote, that confirmed my decisions with Endurance.
The plan was extremely reasonable and affordable. It's less than $125 per month. I have a BMW so my premiums typically range way more than that. The military discount made things even sweeter and took my decision over the top. If anyone has a military affiliation, definitely go with Endurance over any other company because of the military benefits. Another company that contacted me had the same benefits as Endurance but they did not have the military discount. In my case, I would probably stay with Endurance even without the military discount. They had some additional benefits that I like. They offer oil changes and I like the one-time brake pads.

Endurance looked pretty reasonable. The contractual language for Endurance is much like any of the other companies. The thing that stands out is that you still have to get the preapproval, which I understand now. It was pretty straightforward. I asked the individual I was talking to if electronics were covered. He said, “Oh, yes. Electrical.” I said, “No. There is a difference between electrical and electronics.” I explained to him how I was denied coverage for my wife's delay wiper switch. It was not working. I said, “That is electronic. There's a little brain that tells the wipers how fast to wipe and how often.” They said, “Well, that's not covered.” So, because I didn't specifically ask them about electronics, they didn't offer it. I think that that holds true for any company.
The individual from Endurance had to stop, put me on hold, and go find someone to ask questions. He came back and said, “Yes, electronics are covered, any electronics that are factory-installed.” That made a difference to me. This is for my Silverado pickup. It's a newer vehicle and it has more electronics. So, one thing they could improve on is to make sure that they cover all the very specific things.

I chose Endurance and the payment plan is good. What they do is when you put so much down, they push you back so many months where you don't have to pay. If it's 83 a month and you put 500 down, then it pushes you for March or April of next year. I like that a lot. I'm trying to find some more money to put down and push it on out to the year after.

But I was surprised that Endurance ran with more than what I was getting originally. So, I was pleased with that. I've made one payment and I have set it up so it comes out of my credit card or my debit card or out of my bank. It was a direct pay. It can't get easier than that. When I spoke to the first lady I purchased the warranty from, she did not let me know this. I don't have the ability to print anything, so that really upset me. We're thinking about canceling it because of this. If I can't get documents regarding this policy, it's not gonna do me any good. I have no way to get the cards or even what the policy covers. It's all paperless. I also talked to her about getting my bill sent via paper, and she said that wasn't a problem. So, what happens if I don't get my bill sent via paper? We are not of the age that we're technical, that we have this ability to do any of that.
Whoever I called when I saw the policy in the email, she said they're a green company. And she was a little snippy. I told her that we have to think about possibly canceling because I really need paper copies. If we put in a claim with Endurance, I don't have a card. I don't have anything to take it to the people that we're gonna put a claim into. But she seemed very good. So, I only have a couple more days to decide whether we're gonna keep this going or not.

However, I had originally talked to Endurance and decided not to go with them because it was such a pain. I had bought a warranty through CarShield. When I realized that I got half of the warranty that Endurance offered through CarShield, I cancelled my warranty through CarShield and decided to go through another six hours of painstaking process to get it done. Not any of the systems were fluid throughout the company.
My truck had bigger wheels and tires on it, so there were some questions about that. I had some questions about modifications that were allowed to my truck and nobody had the right answer so they kept transferring me to them, to them, to them. But eventually, they just notated my account over the modifications and said that everything would be okay.
Other than that, it was just being transferred from person to person to person. Some of them offered me one price, some of them offered another. I felt I was negotiating with a used car salesman to get the same price when they all knew the bottom line. They all knew what they could offer the best price at, and instead of just offering me that price, three different people offered me three different prices until I finally got to the best package at the best price. The negotiation process should have been more transparent. But eventually, we got all of them to agree to the package that I wanted for the price that I wanted and push through with the process. Once it was done, I was happy with the situation.

It was 30 days, and the 1,000 miles for the requirement. The last agent did everything she could. It was awesome. But the agent before that, I had a rocky time.
What I told him was I was looking for a refund. He would tell me, “Oh, you have to send me these documents.” I said, “That’s unfortunate because the last agent who I spoke to told me it was an easy process. All I had to do was just call back in and ask for my refund.” And that’s what I decided to do. He got mouthy with me. I asked if I could speak with a supervisor and he said, “No, you can’t speak to a supervisor. I’m gonna put you on hold instead. I’m just gonna send these docs over to you.” That’s weird to me.
I was not trying to report anybody. I was just trying to get the sufficient help that I needed. One agent can be the bad apple in the bunch. It was more so him being an agent, hearing me out, and saying what he couldn’t do. That's what the last agent did. Of course, we have to abide by what the company says. But at the same time, my issue lies with how he handled the phone call. It was more so, “See what you can do. Don’t put me on.” It was like he wanted me to hang up. What was the purpose of that?
And the whole thing about asking for a supervisor, “No, you can’t speak with a supervisor. That’s exactly what was going. I’m not getting a supervisor on the line for you.” That was such a turn off. Maybe he is having a bad day. Not once did I yell. I just told him, “Hey, look. Check this out. If you don’t want to handle the phone call, let me speak to somebody else. It’s just that simple. Schedule a supervisor to call back. Turn me over.” That was terrible.
On top of that, when you’re trying to get a refund, you will have to get these papers notarized. I told him, “There’s no way. I’m in such a bind right now where I can't get anybody to come to me for an authorization because it costs.” There's a fee when they come out to you. I've been at home. I can't even go grocery shopping. I don't have any transportation right now. But the simple fact is, like I was trying to explain, “Hey, what can you do to help me?”
I explained to the last agent what was going on. When she heard me out, she said, “You know what? Let me see if I could submit these documents without you having to do this notarization. My department actually approved that request and we are good to go.” That’s the exact customer service that I’m talking about. There are some things we just can't get around. Like, I have to submit the document, but hear me out and see what you can do. That's all I was asking.I talked to myself that overall, my experience was okay because I didn’t want to base it off of one agent. All the other agents who I spoke to were awesome. As far as the setup, it wasn’t bad. As far as the information, what they provide is excellent. And their rates are good. I recommend Endurance to others. But I didn’t get a good feel over everything.

Back in 2019, I was referred to this company by my dealership since my manufacturer warranty had ran out so I bought approximately $2,400 for Powertrain coverage. They offered a monthly payment plan but, I pretty much paid the full amount off in 3 months. Fast forward to current day, September 2021, in which I am currently in need of a transmission replacement. Mind you, when I bought the coverage, I assumed Endurance would be handling my claim but, I found out they have nothing to do with you after you purchase the coverage.
All claims are handled by a company called SmartAutoCare. Now I am currently going through hell trying to get my transmission replacement covered because I was told that the transmission fluid should have been changed out every 30k miles. That is in fact true, if you live in the state of California which is stated in my maintenance book. The problem I have is that I don't live in California, I live in Delaware so those rules don't apply to me.
Now for the past 5 years that I've owned my vehicle, I regularly get it serviced before the scheduled times and I always listen to the suggestions of the service department anytime they tell me something needs addressed by having them do it at that time, or asap if I don't have the funds right then. At no point, did I ever have on any of my multi-point inspections or detailed documents that my transmission fluid needed to be changed out so how would I know if I was never told and if my inspection reports were marked N/A or OK. After advising the claims adjuster of this, he asked me to send all of my maintenance history information and I provided all of the documentation in eight different emails which he claims to never have received even though I replied directly to his emails and have the printouts of said emails.
I really feel like it is their way of trying to find any reason not to cover my claim since it is my transmission. Every time I tried to reach back out to Endurance for any type of help with this, they automatically tell me there's nothing they can do although the contract is listed under their name. I feel that it is very deceptive of them to go through an entire conversation with a new customer, advise them of how good "their" warranty is when they don't even own it, SmartAutoCare does. What they should be telling customers is that they just sell the contracts for SmartAutoCare because if you ever have to file a claim, that is the company that will deal with your policy, not Endurance.
Once Endurance gets your money, they want nothing else to do with you. As far as the contract is concerned, I would suggest having an attorney look at it prior to purchasing if you do decide to go that route because the wording they use is confusing for a reason and that is to deceive people. I strongly advise to stay far away from this company and find a better option if you can.

I inquired online by putting in my vehicle's information and hit okay, two seconds later they call me, thinking we have a live one here. So the sales lady tells me why they are the best and then asks me a few questions to make sure my 2020 "qualify " for their VSC. Wouldn't you know it I do, and not just any coverage, but the top of tne line Advantage package with all the bells and whistles. After explaining everything to me, and I am reading the sample contract online, I ask so when I get parts replaced are the OEM, remanufactured, or even parts from a junk yard. She said that they are all new parts. Well I have to give it to her, they will be new parts to my vehicle, but they can come from the junkyard at the discretion of the administrator.
So okay, I let that little lie go, next we are on to the cost. So today, and, this very call only, I can get a $200 off of tne administration fee of $440. But I have to commit right now, no calling back later, the deal is gone. Then I ask the cost. So I dont know about you, but you should never buy ANYTHING based solely on payments, what did she do? "Sir, you can have this Advantage package for $118 for 36 months, does this fit into your budget?" Well I grab the calculator and this is $4,248. Boom, sounds better at $118 right? That is why they do it. So with the addition administration fee of $240 due at the time of the call we are at $4,488 for this plan. I told her I needed to think about it, so I could compare to other plans and was told that when I call back the price will go up by $200.
So, warning, if you are looking be prepared to give them your money for junkyard parts or better as determined by the administrator and after reading the contract they will only allow 60% of NADA of your vehicle's value at the time of the repairs, and as others have stated, they will pay what they think the market price should be so you may be left with additional out of pocket costs. My advice is to educate yourself by researching consumer advocates such as the homework guy, Kevin **. He has tons of consumer advice on his YouTube channel and see if there is a better way for you to save that hard earned cash. Good luck and focus on total cost not those monthly payments first.

But I have some issues that weren't discussed and I have to call them back. On the payment plan, I thought I was gonna pay it but they ended up sending me a letter saying they're gonna automatically take it out of my account. But the card I used is not an account that I will use for that. So I have to ask Endurance why they didn't say that before so I could use the right card in the first place.

Endurance gave me the layout. So I was like, “Okay, this will work for me. It’s pricey. But hey, it will be worth it in the end because it is a BMW." The rep was an older gentleman. He was nice. However, the pricing could have been broke down. I had to ask him what my monthly amount was. He was quick about it. And I understand why. Because people like to change their mind. He rolled through that quick. He said it was two something and I didn't catch that part. And then when I got my bank statement, it was 190 for this and another $20 and whatever for whatever. And I vaguely remember him saying that part, then he said my monthly amount was 104. But I’m covered. It’s cool.
