I'm a manager for a repair facility. I've been on hold for to talk to a rep for about a a couple hrs both times and I'm still on hold writing this review. It is impossible right now to file a claim at this rate. Poor customer service.

4 months literally fighting with this insurance! I had to literally fight with this insurance! Take my car to 2 different shops: 1) personal certified mechanic and to the real dealer of the car and they still denied to help! They won’t care about computers codes (even if the proof the same issue). They pretend for you to tear down your car and show broken part (cause of failing) for them decide if they will cover or no. But if they won’t cover YOU need to pay back the mechanics to bring your car all in in one piece (even if still broke). I canceled and my whole friends and family start doing the same, canceled! What is the idea to buy a extended warranty if won’t cover wears tear parts (if that it’s the reason for it)! Not recommend at all!!

It was very good and helpful. I have already told others in my family about car shield even though I just purchased it. I expect if I have trouble with my ranger that I will not have a problem getting it fixed. At this point all I need to do is print my contract.

Good Year told me that I had to pay upfront and then submit the bill into CarShield to get reimburse for the cost of fixing the car. Car Shield said to me that they would pay the bill right away that I did not have to pay upfront.

2008 GMC Sier pickup - I feel according to the damage to my engine it should be replaced however instead of requesting all info pictures etc at one time, request was spread out. I have been without my pickup for weeks and now my fear is if the engine isn’t replaced I will be down weeks again. I have learned recently this type engine is notorious for these issues. At 74 yr old I can’t afford to be broken down on the road again. Thanks for allowing me this time to speak out.

ATTENTION. These good reviews up here are fabricated. This company preys on good, hard working individuals and will deny every claim you attempt to submit. I have attorneys that are working to take them down. Do not give your money to these leeches. I have issues with my water pump and rod bearings and according to my contract these items are clearly covered. They denied me on the basis that my car was overheating. They said they do not cover overheating! They told me that it's in the contract that they don't cover overheating but when I pointed out that there's nothing in the contract that states that the individual put me on hold for 40 minutes and had to conclude that he couldn't find overheating; but then denied me by stating that I had "lack of coolant" in my car. Which was a complete lie because I checked my coolant 2 days prior to it breaking down.
The repair shop didn't tell them that I had a lack of coolant. I certainly didn't. But this individual thousands of miles away was able to determine that and it's complete hogwash. My car overheated because I needed a new water pump but they don't want to cover that. What's even worse is that I spoke to at least 4 different individuals regarding my claims and they all had different ways of denying coverage. I've filed with the federal trade commission and I have attorneys on this. Do not deal with this company. I am not bias in any way, shape, form, or fashion. I just don't want the next unbeknownst individual to go through what I went through.

Have had “CarShield” for over 4 months now and when my car had issues last week and I took it to the dealer, “CarShield” refused to cover anything at all, which is contrary to the items on their so-called coverage. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and will cancel my Membership and I want my money back. Everyone, beware of this scam company. DON’T FALL FOR THE LIES IN THEIR TV COMMERCIAL BY THEIR PAID ACTORS WHO HAVE NO IDEA THEY ARE REPRESENTING SCAMMERS. I would have left a ZERO star review, if that were possible.

I call for a free quote for my son's SUV which I state to him. He proceeds to take info and gives me a quote. I thanked him for it and said I would given the info to my son. At 1st he was extremely pushy & demanding about giving him credit card info. I said I'm not the one paying for it but I would pass on the info to my son. At that point he got rude and disrespectful so asked why was he behaving this way. Did he work on commission & he said no. So I said, "There is no reason to be so rude & disrespectful" & he got worse, I asked, "Why are you being so rude and disrespectful to a potential customer that is doing exactly what your ad on tv & online say free quote with a phone #." He hung up on me.
This is my 1st encounter with this company and it will be my last. I'm honestly can't believe there isn't more negative reviews on this company a5 the ones that were there with exact same complaints as mine. So someone in their customer service department is very detrimental to their business. It's sad because we really wanted to buy one so now we are shopping around one.

I took my car into BMW for an oil change. The following was discovered wrong during the oil change/Vehicle Inspection. Replace rear main seal and replace right valve cover gasket. This is what is covered under my platinum plan with CarShield. Rear main seal housing, leaking seals and gaskets... Needless to say CarShield did not cover any items on my vehicle. My service advisor was advised that it looked pre-existing (pre existing from what). However I knew nothing about it and my car is in for regular maintenance. This service is a joke and in my opinion they try to find a way not to cover your vehicle at all cost.

They worked with me to get my car fixed and they made sure I got the best parts and repair cost at the same time, If though I took my car to my own repair shop. When checking the prices the repair shop wanted for parts. They were able to get a better price and had them shipped in overnight in order to save money and they warranted all the parts.

A friend's car "died" and I was contemplating getting a new vehicle. Her need for a car and my need for a brand new truck happened simultaneously. I told her about the coverage offered by CarShield. This is a scam and a fraud, I had my car in the shop and I have the Gold Package, and nothing was covered, the window motor covered but not the regulator. It is part of the window, the front wheel was covered but not the sensor, none of the diagnostic were covered. The motor is supposed to be covered but not the oil gaskets which is a part of the motor, I am joining the class action lawsuit. ASAP.

I have a 2014 Cadillac CTS and the check engine light came on. I took it to my Cadillac dealer and they called CarShield to get approval for the repairs. Needless to say CarShield approve the repairs with no hesitation at all. Well worth the purchase.

Purchased a Car Shield extended auto warranty for all 3 of my vehicles about 5 months ago. They don’t service there own warranties! They sell your account for services to American Auto Shield who has TERRIBLE RATINGS! Took one in for repair, not covered, ok but the repair shop said they would not work with this company again due to long wait time to talk with rep. This week took a different car in for A/C service. Compressor clearly covered in my warranty but denied coverage. Spoke to soooo many people, spent over 8 hours on hold in three days while I was supposed to be “on vacation”. The dealership repairing said they would not sit on hold with this company after the second time they called.
I ended up calling and then doing a 3 way call once an adjuster finally answered. Spoke to Hector Adjuster, he spoke to Hans supervisor, the freaking Auto Technician at my repair dealership talked to Blake Floor Manager who was extremely argumentative and rude to both of us. Would not listen to the technician who said the compressor was seized and should be covered accordingly. Blake finally hung up on both of us when the technician began asking specific technical questions to prove my case. Absolutely A SCAM COMPANY!!!

I had my car in 7 days before they responded to my car dealer. They made contact and they covered only a few things. Wanted to send a used part to be installed!!! My dealer would not take, of course, so they charged 265 more to pay for new part... Who would put a used part in and then guarantee if you didn't know where it came from. Too much fine print, covered, but something was "torn" (dealer said as it was old) but you wouldn't cover. The reviews on the internet were correct. Paid 1800 per year to get nothing. Stay away.

I don't have to wait long for service and we had a friendly conversation. When I ask questions they were answer in a timely manner. They would also ask about the whether are my day going. When ask a rental all my questions was answered and about you all stop fixing the car at the mile of 3000 thousands.

First of all the hold times are ridiculous! My experience with CarShield was terrible. I bought a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse LTZ from Mid-Carolina Auto Sales around February 21, 2019, almost immediately I purchased a CarShield plan due to the commercials that portrayed them as a credible company for repairs. When my vehicle broke down, it ended up needing a timing belt. I was told by a Carshield representative that the timing belt would need to be broken down to be inspected by the adjuster. I had that done.
I then received a call that because the vehicle was broken down, they could not approve the claim without 12 months of service records (after they were the ones who told the shop to break it down) so I then contacted the dealership I purchased it from who provided me with a CarFax report as well as the oil change he conducted on the vehicle. I called into CarShield to see if they received the paperwork and was told they could not use it. If you have not owned the vehicle personally for 12 months, how else can you know what has been done to it other than obtaining a CarFax report??? The commercials are completely misleading and I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!

My policy was purchased and effective 3/7/2019. My shocks broke down and was in shop on 3/27/2019. The policy says claim can be filed in 20 days. It doesn’t mention after 20 days in policy. Dealership called to file a claim and was told that my policy was in waiting status and the work will not be covered so basically a waste of my money. I then called CarShield and was placed on hold for over an hour and dealership was hung up on several times and on hold for more than an hour as well. A bunch of liars with this company. I will never purchase anything like this ever again.

CarShield is a horrible ripoff - I bought a policy in good faith, and as it turned out I had need of some repairs within that first month of coverage. What a joke. NONE of it was covered. Timing belt - no. Water pump - no. Thermostat - no. Oh wait, they WOULD have paid for a new air conditioner compressor unit... but NOT the associated parts which are NECESSARY for proper installation... meaning if the new compressor then failed, it would not be covered because it "hadn't been installed correctly".
On top of all of that, when I called in to cancel my policy, they tried telling me I was not entitled to any refund of my premium, even though their own contract explicitly states a cancellation within the 1st thirty days entitles the customer to a refund of that premium payment. It took me half an hour of sitting on hold and demanding to speak to a supervisor to even get that money back... And I am still out the auto-payment for the following month. Do NOT buy this service!

I would give them lower than 1 star if I could. I called to get a free quote, so that I could determine if it was something I could afford. I was quoted 135.00 for the Silver Plan and what the Silver Plan would cover. I told the guy thanks, I would discuss it with my wife and get back to him. He would not accept that. He continued to try to pressure me into making a payment of 135.00 right now. I informed him over 10 times I would not make any payment until I had the opportunity to discuss it with my wife and he still continued insisting I should make a payment now.
He told me to put it on my credit card, if I had one and that would give me 30 days to make a decision. I once again informed him, I just wanted the free quote they said you could get. I also informed him once again I had to discuss things with my wife and would get back to him if it was right for us. He was starting to get rude, so I had to eventually hang up on the guy. I would never do business with a company like this. And, I would suggest anyone that is thinking about doing business with CarShield... BEWARE!

I signed up for this company for coverage and I was giving wrong information. They ask me for miles and I told him I wasn't sure. He said to, "let us know" when I could, I emailed them the right one and I took it to shop to have a repair. They said it was a problem with miles. After sending them 10 different documents to show miles was right, they still wouldn't except that and canceled me. This is a joke just to get money to sign up people and never pay for nothing, he told me to guess miles on phone. I did and it was actually over what it was that should have been better and showed them all the proof they ask for for 7 years of service and they still wouldn't repair my car. Just canceled it, bad business.

Had my car towed in via their tow service no problem. Then mechanic did diagnosis and estimate a month ago, and neither the mechanic nor myself can get them to respond to us about car coverage and repairing my car?! Takes an hour of being on hold to reach someone if lucky - most of the time you have to leave message?! Try getting a mechanic to do that more than once- I lucked out and mine did it a few times- his call was never returned nor would the customer service rep from auto shield call him back!??
When I said I had just spoken with him and he’s waiting for his call?!? He said no. He can call me! There is no way my mechanic would or should have to call them again?! It’s been a month and now I gotta go pay to have my car towed out of the ford dealership shop because it’s been a month?! As well as pay $171 they charge to diagnose it?!? They waive it if repaired there which is what I was counting on Auto Shield to take care of?!! I never would have taken it there and paid that if I didn’t have Auto Shield?! I can’t afford that, or their prices. Car shield recommended I go there- then abandoned me and my car?!? I’m dumbfounded.

Called to qet a quote, which was a fair deal. However, when I indicated that I would not be purchasing today Scott the salesman said that if I don't purchase now the file gets closed with no option to purchase at a later date, so I did not purchase because I am not an impulse buyer. I will certainly not recommend anyone call to get a quote because if you do you will be forced into a purchase or forever be ostracized. What a shame! This product is advertised on The Sean Hannity Show. I called for a quote based on his recommendation. Too bad this is not an upstanding company

Vehicle broke down and CarShield was a phone call away. The advisor got a tow right on the way and it was towed to the mechanic shop and thanks to having CarShield as my backup plan. I would recommend that all my friends and relatives get CarShield as their plan.

The customer service representative was very experienced, patient and customer friendly. Made me feel like telling all my friends to sign up for CARSHIELD. What I like most about CarShield is their 20 days grace period, was so worried that I have to wait longer before the coverage would kick in but was so relieved when I was informed that the grace period was only 20 days. Will be so happy to get my car fixed because I have spent a lot of money on the car already.

I obtained the warranty almost a month ago. My check engine light came in on Friday. Well during diagnostic the mechanic found axle issues. Carshield refused to pay. At first they told mechanic it was not covered. Which in my policy stated it was. When I called the rep told me because it happened 2 days after my grace period it was a pre existing condition which it was not. So basically they called me a liar. They look for every loophole not to pay. Please people stick with your dealer or manufacturer warranty. They even told the company they would have to send their own adjuster to go behind your chosen mechanic for verification. Smh it is nowhere near as clear cut as the commercials make it out to believe. Needless to say I cancelled the policy. I would rather pay out of pocket for the work rather than a false sense of security that turns out to be gas poured on a fire. Save yourself the hassle. God as my witness do not give these people your money.

The person who sold me this policy advised it would pay for my bill. He did not specify that there are multiple ones to choose from, nor did he specify that this is only to negotiate the prices. I was sold a fraudulent policy and want a refund. My car has been in the shop twice. The dealer was advised I needed to explain the process to them. I went home and found an ASE certified dealer and took my car to them. It took 3 days for them to answer and they advised I should explain the process to them and they only advise and negotiate the prices, that they don't pay anything. So what piece of mind is that! And why would I pay hundreds of dollars to have someone negotiate the price for me, that is insane.

Usually, reading your contract would suffice and answered questions are correct; not with CarShield. This is the only warranty company that I or the two auto mechanic shops had an experience as such. Initially, I was told that I could take my automobile to any ASE shop. Christian Auto Brothers evaluated the issue and CarShield's adjuster came to the shop and approved the compressor and associated parts, dryer, etc. However, I was then told by CarShield that their parts would have to be shipped in, with a minimum of three days for delivery. Because Christian Brothers did not accept shipped in parts, I had to pick up my vehicle and take it to another ASE approved mechanic.
On Friday, March 21, I dropped my car off at a very reputable Mechanic, (LMC in Spring, Texas), and received a call from them on Monday morning advising that CarShield was no longer covering the previous estimated repairs, totaling $1,204.00, only covering the compressor, $746.00. PLEASE TAKE CAUTION BEFORE PURCHASING A WARRANTY FROM CARSHIELD!

We are an automotive repair company with a customer who unfortunately purchased this plan. Had we known, we would have recommended another. We had to call 3 times, 1 to 2 hour hold each time, and when we reached a "person" they denied everything except a minor item. They stated that they do not cover worn items, only parts that break (and that is a maybe). Suggested that we tear down the motor and then they will decide. What? And who is going to pay for that? They know nothing about cars. We will not accept any more customers with this warranty.

CarShield, Maybe it is because of only a check engine light and that my 2012 Audi was not towed into the service department... The auto service department relayed to me this morning that none of my claim was approved by the d adjuster based on the information their inspector sent them. I had to get a rental car while I waited for their inspector and now, none of this is covered. I called CarShield after receiving the news from the auto service department that my claim was denied for fuel injector failures and a slow coolant leak that was discovered during the diagnostic. I called and it was almost an hour, before the callback prompt came on and once it did, I selected appropriately and never got a callback (at all today). I emailed and received a reply back to call 800-587-4162.
The lady there was the most helpful in that she told me that the seal gasket for the coolant leak was not covered and that since the inspector nor the shop could pinpoint the cause of the 3 and 6 cylinder misfires, it was classified as going out and not broken, thus, claim denied... The coolant leak means my car, is not safe on the road and will fail its next safety inspection, so I have to get this fixed out of pocket because I cannot continue to pay for the rental and because I cannot get any assistance for the parts and labor negotiation to even begin that process (I will explain more about that below). Thus far, my experience is horrible.
The helpful customer service lady said there was still a way the company could assist me in getting up to 30% off the repair costs. She said call 800-856-7884, tell then my claim was denied and that I wanted to talk to someone about parts sourcing and labor negotiations. I did this and once I got someone on the line started to give him my information, we got disconnected. They never called back (why this is not a practice, I don't know, all my information is requested). I called back and ended up on hold for 25 minutes, finally got someone and they still had to transfer me to the department that could help... This was a 45 minute hold.
I tried the customer service number again. Got in the callback queue and once someone did call (from American Auto Shield I believe) they couldn't help and it was after business hours for CarShield. My first call to CarShield was at 8:23 this morning (HST) and this final contact was around 1:30 pm (HST). I would love it if someone from the department that helps negotiate parts and labor could contact me and at least help me with that part since, no other part of this service contract is useful to me and I cannot spend another day on hold.

CarShield is the front man for a bunch of scam warranty companies who can't get any sales on their own, so CarShield brings them customers, like sexy demons luring unwitting victims into the clutches of a vampire. These well-trained sales ponies are your best friends--until they get their sale. Then they're out of the picture. Something wrong with your car? Warranty company denying your claim? Too bad for you! CarShield's already far down the road, counting their money, laughing at the sucker they left behind in the dust.
I was one of the lucky ones. I found out real fast how much of a scam CarShield is so I didn't have to go on for years thinking my car was protected by one of their fraudulent providers, pouring thousands of dollars into a protection plan that appears real on the surface, but doesn't actually cover a thing. Just look at the reputation of the scam warranty company CarShield tries to deliver you to. You'll see for yourself that this company is fronting for a bunch of thugs. Less than a star for this vile organization. May it rot on the outside like it rots from within.

I’ve had CarShield for 2 yrs. I have a Mercedes. It had a issue where the service engine light wouldn’t go off. I took it to the Mercedes dealer. They had a lot of issues where they couldn’t resolve the problem. CarShield didn’t want to pay the deal the hourly rate & wanted to get a second hand part. Mercedes wouldn’t Warranty a Ford, etc part for my Mercedes. It cost over 2,500 to fix it & CarShield wouldn’t pay but a portion 'cause they wanted a cheap dealer. They then told Mercedes they wouldn’t pay our any more money. I canceled. Awful customer service. They left the Mercedes deal agent on hold for 2 hrs. I had to cancel cause they wouldn’t pay out to fix my car but I paid 1,400 a year for services. I’m going to file with the Better Business Bureau. I will pass the word on about their awful services.

Spoke to the service rep, demanded access to the supervisor who utterly failed us, nobody calls back, they act really stupid. It's unbelievable and please, whoever of you CarShield people are going to respond to this review, don't waste your time telling that you're sorry that my administrator is an incompetent scam. You are also low quality because you're still referring people to low quality administrator. Disgusting.

Found charges on my credit card from CarShield even though I don't remember signing up. I have never received any paperwork from them either but they were charging my credit card 100 bucks a month for the last 6 months. I called them to cancel and had to get mad to finally get them to cancel. They kept trying to sell me more stuff. I would not recommend this company. I think they are a scam.

Updated on 03/23/2019: 2nd part of original review: It took 12 days to get thru to an Adjuster (and get repair authorized), and 3 hrs:17 min:56 sec on the phone (half day off work) to get thru the ordeal CarShield has set up to file a claim. Nightmare!
Updated on 03/14/2019: Day 11 waiting for a Claims Authorization contact - on hold for hours, numerous messages left, online claims form filled out - still no response from CarShield. Now today my Auto Repair Shop, after having my car sit there for 11 days, is telling me to either authorize my own payment for the repair or they will have my car towed back to my house. They say they are not going to deal with CarShield because of all of the time wasted taking up space at their shop. So I'm screwed thanks to CarShield completely NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. HAVING TO WAIT - GOING ON 11 DAYS NOW - FOR JUST A PHONE CALL TO GET AUTHORIZATION - is completely unacceptable. It is now costing me what WAS a good relationship with my mechanic. Unacceptable. Incompetent. Bordering on deliberate fraud by selling a car warranty they have no intention of honoring.
Original Review: My car went into the shop 9 days ago for a "covered repair" under CarShield's policy terms. The car code was diagnosed the first day, and the repair shop called CarShield for the Claim Number and approval code. They sat on hold for 52 minutes and the phone was never answered - they had to return to work, so pressed the number to get a "return call." Day 2 - no return call, so another 45 minutes on hold with no answer - left another message. Day 3: no return call, so 2 episodes of sitting on hold for more than 30 minutes each. Day 3 end of day - filled out Online Claim Form and submitted for agent to call and review claim. Days 4 through 9: no response yet.
NINE DAYS my car is sitting, waiting for a repair that takes 90 minutes, all the while me having to pay for a rental car to drive to work. This is the most ridiculous setup ever. It's going to end up costing me more to file the claim with CarShield than it would have cost me to just pay cash for the repair, which makes the whole CarShield policy absolutely pointless.

I got the policy 3 months ago for a used car with 140,840 miles on it. The person that sold me the policy inputted 148,056 miles into the computer. I needed to have the transmission repaired and took the car to the local AAMCO. Car Shield required me to have the transmission shop take the transmission out to the car to see if it could be rebuilt. When I tried to contact the adjuster I stayed on hold for one hour or more and the repairman at the transmission shop stayed on hold for two hours or more.
Finally I reached them they told me there was a problem with the mileage. As I said above and instead of correcting the mileage they cancelled the policy completely and tried to write a new one. If they had written a new one they would not cover the transmission repairs on the new policy because it would have been a preexisting problem. Car Shield and the their adjuster arm American Shield are rip offs and refuse to correct the problem they created. Now the car is apart and the transmission shop want $1900.00 to fix the car. Don't get Car Shield.

Be very careful when you purchase any type of plan like this and make sure you are clear on what is covered and what will NOT be covered. In late 2017 I purchased Carshield for my 2008 vehicle with the knowledge of knowing that this vehicle would begin to need some major repairs due to the age and mileage (over 120,000 miles). I was correct. About 4 months into my plan I had brought my vehicle in because it didn't feel quite right. When it came time for my mechanic to contact Carshield for the repairs we were told NONE of the repairs needed were covered by the plan. I was facing over $4,000.00 in repairs and the insurance I purchased and was told that these types of repairs would be covered were not. I needed to have my entire suspension system repaired, and not one thing was covered. I then proceeded to cancel this policy that I had not yet fully paid for and had to purchase new vehicle.

This is the company that put me into American Auto Shield. Their warranties go through them and this review applies to both. This is the first time putting in a claim on my Ram 3500 and it has already been a terrible experience. I have had to call them twice today the first time waiting on hold for 48 minutes and the second time waiting for 49 minutes. The inspection was done the day prior and everything was already determined by the dealership that needed to be prepared. Now today at the end of the day they decide that they need to look at my suspension for any modifications delaying the process even further. The second call was for the why was this not checked in the first place. All I got was, "Sorry for wasting your time, but can't do anything." Of course, this all holds up my rental car coverage as the claim has yet to be approved. No attempt at all to make it right.

Between Mon 3-4 & Wed 3-6 I have been on hold with this company for five and half hours. I needed a new condenser and my mechanic was on hold with them for one and half hours. How can customers get pre-authorization for a service if none of the adjusters will pick up the phone? My experience with this company has been horrific and I would not wish this on anyone. Needless to say I am stuck with a $1000 bill.

I filled out a web form for a quote and a sales agent called me a few minutes later. I wanted a quote and some questions answered. The agent explained coverage and answered one question. The agent quoted $129 per month, and when I didn't commit immediately, dropped the price to $99 per month. I said, "Thank you, I want to think about it." The agent said, "What's there to think about?" I have not yet comparison shopped, and explained the coverage was an added monthly expense, and before I could even say I wanted to read the contract first, she hung up on me.

They strung me along for weeks, 100's of minutes per day on hold while I was out tow and rental fees for a month+, by coincidence, after Car Shield subtracted another payment, the next day my legitimate claim was denied. I was directed to fake websites, I have pictures of them, documentation, I received "your claim is closed, hope your service was good," a week previous to official denial - I requested the denial in writing because I received many different answers for reasoning - never received the email.
Car Shield advertising and reviews are fake: they do not handle claims, Peace of Mind is a nightmare. They uses "administrators" as buffers for denial. They have multiple website to hide their deception, they have a "F" rating with the BBB. They advertise on all social media sites but allow no interaction, they show comments have been made but they will not display.
I have filed complaints with the BBB regarding Car Shield and America Auto Shield, also with The Federal Trade Commission for false advertising; my expenses are building as I find alternative methods for repairs on top of tow and rental expenses. If I don't get results from my complaints, I will seek legal representation that will add anguish, pain and suffering. While I'm waiting for results, I will tell the world about CarShield, American Auto Shield and Stoprepairbills.com.

I just purchased a 2013 Sonata. I just wanted to get a "free" quote for this service. I went online, filled out their form and as soon as I hit submit my phone started to ring. I was at work so I couldn't pick up, but they called three times in five minutes. The fourth time they called I was able to pick it up and I had ten minutes. In less then four minutes the sales person told me that the warranty for my car would be $4,200 paid over 18 months and what cards what I like to put it on. WHAT? Way more expensive than the dealer. When I said no thanks it dropped 50%, wow! Right there I think it might be a scam. Now this "sounds" like a good deal but it's still a good amount of money and I wanted to think and talk it over with my significant other.
The sales person says let's just put it on a card and if you decide later you can just get a refund. Right there you lost me. Any business that that uses these kind of pressures tactics usually don't pan out in the long run. Now in the beginning of this call I told him about my time restriction, 12 minutes into the call he would not let me end the conversation. I had to hang up. Maybe this is a good service? I don't know? My gut after this says stay away, be careful and if you still want to purchase this service at least turn down their first offer and make them drop at least 50%. Good luck!!

Put my car the shop today at 1:00 to have my window repaired. I along with the service rep at the dealership have been trying to get a claims rep on the phone to authorize payment for the job. I am still on hold 40 minutes and counting. What must I do. This is ridiculous and I am not happy with this. This is first claim for my car. Losing my patience.

I canceled the service after 2 months. This company is a POS. The specific issue with my truck (my AC compressor) went out. It took 2-weeks with over 6-hours of phone wait time to be transferred, transferred, and transferred again. Each person said, "No worries, it's covered on your plan." The truck sat in the shop and the only way to get them to move was to call and call again. In the end, they gave me a BS answer that it was a "preexisting condition." If something goes wrong, perhaps it was preexisting, but that's what it is for. They cover you on a specific date. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!!!

My experience has been terrible with this company. I have call roadside assistance twice and never got helped. I been with this company since Nov 2018. And my claim has been cancelled twice. I called back to customer service which I got another person which tells me that I refused the tow that was set up for me. Which I never heard back from anyone. I felt like I been wasting money with this company. I hope they live up to what they are say about covering my auto repairs because they lied about the roadside assistance.

First, I didn't have to wait on hold very long at all. That is golden. When Chloe answered my call, she listened carefully and understood why I was calling. (I hit a deer with my car and the insurance company totaled the vehicle--and I subsequently was issued a salvage certificate, and then a new title when I purchased the car back from the insurance company.) She told me she was going to ask her supervisor because it was not a typical inquiry, and when she came back she said that she would refer my question to the correct department to handle policy interpretation, which makes sense to me. She also put a follow-up on my inquiry so that if my policy is voided by the salvage certificate, my credit card wouldn't be charged for coverage the policy can no longer provide.
Chloe was kind, friendly, attentive and professional in her handling of my call. Even though I haven't had the occasion to use the policy I purchased in Oct. 2018, and may no longer be covered, I'm very impressed with the excellent customer service I received from Chloe today. I would gladly recommend CarShield to anyone I think can benefit from their coverage.

I purchased CarShield in early January for my 2015 Town and Country with 102,000 miles. As it turns out, we had an engine issue last week with a valve. I took the Van in on the morning of 2/20. The dealership attempted to contact them that day. The dealer sat on hold for 4 hours with no one answering. I called several times and was placed on hold too. I left a number for them to call me back and, of course, that never happened. The dealer finally, on the 21st got a hold of the Engine group and they told him an inspector would have to view the car. The inspector called and stated he might get there Friday but more likely Monday. So Monday morning he inspected the car and stated he would have to write up a report and submit it. That would be done within 24 hours. The dealer has been on hold with CarShield for last 2 hours trying to get approval to do the work.
I had to rent a car for this time period which, of course, CarShield won't cover because they have not approved the work. We are still waiting for SOMEONE to answer the phone at CarShield. I would suggest you consider another Automotive Warranty service. This is a horrible way to run a business and steal money. I would invite someone from CarShield Management to contact me directly to help with this issue.

I bought a used vehicle and I didn’t know what was wrong with it. I considered the dealership in purchasing an extended coverage but I had a buddy that went through CarShield so I looked into them. Their rep, Norman, was very courteous and he had good knowledge of the different coverage policies. He was also willing to work with me. When I had a claim for a transmission, the dealership took care of everything. I just drove the car in and the dealership made the call. Then CarShield sent somebody down and verified everything. The claim went well and CarShield covered the work on the transmission.

We have a car that is a little bit later model. And once we explained to CarShield what we wanted from them, they had the exact plan that we needed. The person that sold us the warranty made sure that we got the coverage that we wanted. And he worked with us on the price because we were really particular about what was in the warranty and he made sure he got the top of the line.
I talked to a guy when we were getting ready to take the car in for service, and I was asking him about repairs because we had a diagnostic test ran on the car. We knew what part it needed to be, and he was snappy. That was the first time I had ever called customer service because we didn't need to use the warranty until that particular time. He said he didn't have time to look up all that stuff. He told us to just take the car in, and he'd let us know if CarShield would cover it or not. But CarShield took care of getting the car fixed after I took it in. We paid our deductible and everything's fine. I would recommend them.

CarShield told me that my car has a warranty on it that I could have purchased. They gave me the descriptive details upon what it brings along with it, what it covers on it, and I went from there. It sounded legit. The purchasing process was through the phone. The reps were very helpful, friendly and cool. They broke down around the payment ranges and all that.
However, I was covered for five years from what they had told me, and they basically stated that I had to make a full payment, and between those five years, it was gonna be about 3,000. I actually ended up covering it a little bit sooner. I called one of the specialists on there, and they said since I already had paid the whole amount, I was still covered for two more years. I have filed a claim for my transmission because it faltered and it started going bad. I was basically not able to use my car for two weeks. CarShield ended up covering me on it. They gave me a used transmission, but it worked perfectly so I was able to get my car back.

The engines' head gasket blew and the block cracked I had already had the protection before my car broke down. My mechanic said when I took it to the shop was after I got the protection not before. I am 72 years old and have little memory loss on dates. So I hope that all goes well in getting my car fixed (2000 Chevy Blazer).

I needed an extended coverage for my car due to its age and mileage. I looked at CarShield online after I saw their advertisement on TV and I contacted them. The reps I talked to knew all the policies but they were a little forceful. I wanted to shop around a little bit but they continued to lower their price point and since I felt comfortable with that they offered me, I went ahead with that.
Once, the check engine light on my car went on so I took it to the shop to see what the problem was. They checked to see what the codes came up with and told me the severity of the problem. I gave them the information for CarShield and they contacted the warranty company. Initially, CarShield would not cover the issue until they could do further investigation to see if the issue was because of maintenance neglect or if it was an actual mechanical issue. I knew I wasn’t at fault because I had done maintenance on the vehicle but I had to authorize the auto mechanic to tear down the engine to a certain point where they could have an investigator come out, take pictures, and forward those pictures back to CarShield to determine if they were going to cover the cost or not. It was a $1,900 breakdown of the engine without any guarantee so I was taking a leap of faith.
When I signed up with CarShield, I didn't do a very thorough check on their reviews but at that point, I did and I found that there were a few comments from previous policyholders that were not reimbursed. So, I had a lot of doubts. But CarShield's investigator agreed that the issue was something that was not because of neglect and they decided that they'd cover the cost of the repair.
The engine replacement could have been completed a day sooner but I was given the option to go with an engine that was completely covered by CarShield and I didn't know how good that engine was. So, I went to a Ford Motor Company certified mechanic and I was given the option to put a Ford certified engine with a Ford certified warranty in the car with a condition that I would have to cover out of pocket the cost difference between that engine and the engine that CarShield agreed to pay for. I went with the Ford option and covered the difference out of pocket.
In the end, I was happy that CarShield covered the repair given the fact that there were some doubts initially and I had to take a leap of faith. But the fact that it took as long as it did for them to finally say that they'd cover it by getting an investigator out there wasn’t very timely at all. The process was supposed to take a couple of days but the car was at the shop for almost two weeks. Plus, I had a six-day period where I had no rental vehicle coverage and I was in limbo. And because of that, I can't say that I'm happy with my experience.

The credit union that I deal with would not give me a full bumper-to-bumper extended warranty on my ’08 Corvette. They would only give me an engine and power train. I got something in the mail from CarShield and it said that I could call and talk to them. So I called the number and talked to one of the reps. The rep said they could give me a full bumper-to-bumper warranty. It was a little more than the credit union, but it covered a lot more. It sounded like a good deal.
I've had many extended warranty services and I cancel them as soon as I have the actual brochure and I have read it through about three times, and I know what they'll cover and what they'll not cover. As soon as they try and pull a fast one and say, “Well, that might have been covered,” I tell them, “No, no, no. It says right here in black and white on this piece of paper, you're covering that part.” When they then try to pull some funny business, I tell them that they're done. They're not standing up to what they say they are.
Right on the get-go, I had some gasket leaks on the Corvette. It was found when an oil change was being done on the car. I double-checked with the book to see what CarShield was covering, and sure enough, it said that, “We cover all engine and rear-end gaskets from leaking.” I knew that I was 100% covered. But then, it happened that the CD changer in the car quit loading at the same time. So I looked it up as well and I said, “No, it covers factory to factory CD warranty on a radio.” So, all three things I was 100% positive are supposed to be covered and there shouldn’t be any problems. I told that to the Chevy dealership, asked them to call CarShield and have a deductible.
The person at the dealership called back and said that a CarShield rep was coming out to go over everything that we had written down. He'd be there in two days and then he'd say yes or no on everything. I said, “Okay, fine. I recently had some issues with my truck. My engine light came on and I took it to the dealership and they contacted CarShield. They had my truck for over two months, the first time. They said I had some bad lifters and they only address one side of the motor. And you’re never supposed to do anything like that. If you had any lifter issues in your engine, you should replace all those lifters. And now, my engine light is back on again. They called and said I need a pressure release valve, and CarShield did not replace that. They said because that’s a worn part. If my lifters’ a worn part, of course it’s gonna wear it out. They should rebuild the whole engine.
And now, I have an appointment to go back next week because when they replaced all those lifters. I understand they pay $3,800 and I had to pay 100 bucks for diagnostic checks and all that. They charged me with a spark plug. I just had new plugs put in that truck last year, and a tune up last year. From my understanding, they’re gonna go through the oil pump and see if the oil pump is working properly, if it’s not the switch. Worst scenario, I’m gonna be out another $800 for the switch because CarShield won’t replace the switch. It’s almost like I’m paying for my warranty and the warranty ain’t taking care of my needs for the truck. I don’t like that at all.
When I called and asked, initially, about the lifters all they said that it was bad in a truck. When I called they sent me to the actual warranty company, because CarShield is just a face. I talked to somebody else and they were telling me they were gonna fix it but it depends if I didn’t have any water damage. They should have found out if I had any water damage before they okayed the warranty on my truck. Don’t wait until I have an issue. Right now I got an appointment to take my truck back in when the mechanic will be back off vacation. So then I’m gonna be out of more money if it’s just the valve switch, because CarShield said that’s a worn part. But that’s a related worn part to this engine light coming on. They didn’t fix the problem. They only addressed half the issue.

My Ford vehicle has a service contract from CarShield. It is for comfort and reassurance that if anything goes wrong, it can be remedied quickly. When I dealt with my rep, it was an easy and straightforward interaction. However, I had some issues that came up with the vehicle itself and I was extremely disappointed that they didn’t stand up for the warranty that I thought I was buying. The issue was essentially an oil leak on the top of the engine and it wasn’t covered.
I was very frustrated because I'd taken it to several dealers and they kept saying the same thing. It was an oil leak but it was near the fuel pump. People weren’t seeing between the lines. So, I had to go out of pocket and had the oil leak fixed. It was almost $4,000. I have a receipt but I just didn’t know who to fax it to that shows that it was an oil gasket, not a gasoline or a fuel gasket that was the problem. The situation was handled poorly and I wanted to talk to a manager. CarShield was easy to get into, but now I'm realizing that if they are not gonna cover everything then why should I go with it? With that, I won’t be using CarShield anymore.

This company is a complete scam. I called them up today and made a claim for my 2002 GMC Yukon SLT and I was told that they don't cover the seals or the block of the motor. Now when I bought the policy and went over their contract they said they did cover those parts. The contract is very confusing and I called the company and they reassured me that those parts would be covered well after I call the claims department and getting a very rude guy on the phone. I call the account Department and I explained to them that, "If y'all don't cover the block and seals then what am I paying y'all for." They said they could not refund me my money since it was longer than 30 days.
I've been having the policy for 2 months now but they lie to me to make me stay on the policy till time ran out. All the receptionist could tell me was, "Oh I'm sorry you had a bad experience." I told her this is a scam and you are not an honest person. I also explained to her that if I did not get it fixed the vehicle would get worse over time and then they would not cover the policy because of negligence but it's their fault that there is negligence in the first place so if you're thinking about getting this policy with this company just don't.

This company advertises excellent reviews for month-to-month warranty coverage. They tell you that everything is covered. My daughter called from the side of the road claiming that our 2012 JEEP Liberty with only 56K miles on it smelled like oil and there was a funny noise. We had the car towed to a local service station and they diagnosed that the front transfer case needed to be replaced. The part + labor was to be about $2500. It took days to get an adjuster from CarShield to the service center and after this wait, they refused to pay for the part and repair, claiming that we should have known that this needed repair months before, and that they weren't responsible for the repair (because I only had the policy for about 2 months).
The service station admitted that there was NO WAY that this happened months prior - the car had been in for routine service 3 months prior. We called many times - hold times were abominable, sometimes 45-60' - and we escalated the call to supervisors and managers. All held to the line that this occurred prior to us having the warranty and they weren't paying. My daughter is extremely fastidious about odors and noises and would definitely have let us know if there was a problem as soon as one existed. This is a FRAUDULENT company. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP with them even though the price might seem right. There is a reason that the price is right. We ended up paying for the repair outright.

When I called to get coverage on my classic 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition, I knew it was out of warranty by over 10 years so I figured lets see what CarShield pricing would be to cover my vehicle... Oddly enough it's a typical start at "price", and when mention that seemed high, asked are you a "senior", "why yes..." "Oh, so we cannot offer you a lower "price"... then I said I'm going to think this over, was put on hold for a few minutes, rep came back with "if you purchase today I can lower that price even more"! PRESSURE SALES never get my vote or money. Guess they didn't get my message that I'm not interested because today I get another one of their sales letters in the mail. Thank you for keeping the U.S. mail busy!

It takes way too long to get things approved with CarShield. I got a service contract because I didn’t want a huge expense to repair if something happens, and the dealer filed a claim with them when I had an issue. But then my car was in service for nine weeks because of the back and forth with the company. They said they had to get the adjuster out again to see if they would replace the valve or not. It was just ridiculous. I also never got the reimbursement for my rental car.

I called just to get some information after listening to a tv ad about extended insurance. I was assaulted with rudeness, non-stop talking about the same things over and over and over again, loudly abusive and insulting because I wanted to ask my son about it. I finally had to hang up and went to the website to see all the negative reviews and was flabbergasted. The BBB sent me their info and they will not even give this outfit a rating, that's how awful they are! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING. THEY ARE HIGH PRESSURE MASTERS AND MAKE THEIR MONEY FROM YOUR MONTHLY "contributions". I was really taken aback that they were allowed to advertise after reading about them. If you do have a contract with them, they will find every way possible to deny the coverage and you will be left paying the bill in full. Some people couldn't even get their cars back. CarShield is BAD NEWS!

Called the customer service and told me that we're having issues... Truck has been in the shop for almost a week. Cant get approved for parts because the company wont answer the phone waited 20 mins and 15 mins several times - tried online claim not available. I have paid for this service and it's basically unusable when I have needed it this week - called for 3 days...they are happy at Car Shield to take payments however they only refer you to the claims dept for no one to be available to answer any questions. Eventually I need to get my truck back so I dont have to walk or hitch rides with other people.. this is ridiculous period.

Emailed through the site expecting an email in return. They called every 30 minutes until I picked up the phone. Once on the phone, and after a transfer to my "specialist", I was given a non-stop sales pitch of how great this coverage was and how lucky I was to have called. I didn't have anything to compare the price to, nor was I ready to commit without researching the company more, so I politely tried to get off the call. The salesperson was completely relentless in trying to push the coverage, even when I told him I would think it over and do my research. I told him I wasn't ready to commit and he actually said "You're never going to be ready to commit." I hung up at that point. If you are confident in your product, let me find out for myself.

This company has multiple BBB complaints filed against and about them. The excuse I got was that they did not want to pay into BBB for accreditation. That said, the coverage is not as good as they present themselves to be and furthermore, the undue long lengthy waits on hold to speak to a claims adjuster is just nuts. They want to use only the parts they want you to use (more often than not, from wrecking yards and not new), and the delay in obtaining parts from their sources is unreasonable.
The coverage they offer is not any better and in fact worse, than what you could get from the vehicle's manufacturer. Most if not all vehicle insurance plans offer the same or better so it would behoove you the consumer to do the research and sign on with either your own choice of established insurance plans or AAA. Roadside assistance in terms of towing is usually a good idea with whatever insurance plan or agent you do go with. This outfit is a high pressured sales and as such will do whatever it takes to get you to sign on with them. Buyer beware!! AAA offers many of the same things and in some cases, more. I will not recommend or suggest this CarShield to anyone for any reason whatsoever!!!

Got CarShield on November 1, 2018. Paid $130 per month for the last three months. I have a 2013 Cadillac Escalade that I only use for winter. I explained to the salesperson that sold me the contract that the car was only use for winter as I have two other vehicles that I use when it is not snowing. He told me that was fine. No problem. Don’t worry about it.
So recently we had a snowstorm. I got the vehicle out. The car started slipping the transmission. So the car only had about 7 miles on it and the transmission went. Called CarShield regarding it. Asked for a claim. The claim is $6800. They denied it because it was only 7 miles on the car. I explain to them that I only use this car for winter when it snows. I don’t drive the vehicle when it’s not. The car has 107,000 miles on it that is why I only use it for winter when it snows. Still denied. Would not give me a refund. Supervisor would not get on the phone to explain it. So now the car is sitting in the shop with a $6800 bill and I have no way to pay it.
I don’t care if the car has 1000 miles on it or 25,000 miles or 7 miles on it. When you have a warranty, you have a warranty. I asked them if they could pull the tape of the salesperson and they told me no. I told the salesperson it is only a winter car. I explained it again and again and again and they did not want to hear it. With no refund so now I’m giving them a bad review.

My brother had CarShield and he had been saying nothing but good things about it so I went with them. When I had a problem with my AC unit, I took it to the Jaguar place but they didn't fix it because it was working. The guy there told me to video the unit showing that it won't come on so that was what I did. When we went out of town, the AC unit acted up again and we brought the car back in. CarShield took care of it and it took three days to get it done. The service was great.

Thank God I didn't put my Mercedes warranty with CarShield. I just got off the phone with my local BMW dealership and the first thing my service advisor mentioned was that he was on hold for more an hour just to speak to someone, a first out of the many car warranty companies he talks to; he then went ahead and mentioned that CarShield will not honor a faulty Oil leak repair I took the car in for which other warranty companies would honor.
I expressly went through what was covered when I signed up for this warranty and was assured that an oil leak among other items I had on my checklist were covered. I'm totally disappointed by this and would have preferred to be told up-front what would not be covered. Please do not be gullible as I was, raked in by a flashy commercial, and sold a scam. Make sure you ask specifically what they cover and what they don't; you will also have to pay a premium upfront and wait 20 days before utilizing the warranty. I'm cancelling my warranty first thing tomorrow morning.

I had CarShield cover a wheelchair van. It's a conversion, so it's very expensive to replace them every 50,000 miles. While I could handle any of the financial issues with the modifications, like if the lift breaks or anything, the bigger issues are if something very big goes on in the car, like the transmission or the engine. But when my transmission went out they took a long time to approve it, and all the documentation they want going years back were something most people don't even keep, like oil changes, transmission changes or tune-up documents. My car's over seven years old, so it took me a while to go through tons and tons of paper to find it
The van waited in the shop for weeks and they didn't cover a rental car for that amount of time. And then, they refused to pay the amount like they advertised on TV. They only would pay 3,200 out of the 4,500, saying that they were gonna ship a new transmission out to the car dealer. Now, at this point, the car dealer said they would make no money. They had to take the whole transmission apart to show CarShield to do the inspection. So, I had to pay the difference. Their advertising is very misleading.
My car dealer said to me, "I just want you to know Denise, if you have another issue that you're gonna want to be covered by CarShield, I won't do it." I had to rent a wheelchair van from them, which I said would only be a few days, which ended up being weeks. And they only have one wheelchair van that they rent out to people who don't even have a wheelchair van.

I took my truck in for a free 40 point inspection from AAA (great company). I got a call that there was some issues. I told them I had extended warranty. They said it would probably be covered. They tried to call CarShield on Tues. 1-22-2019 - were on hold 2 hours. Finally on Wed. morn. tried again - on hold 45 min. Was told a claims adj. would be out. I got the same reply when I called. We got no service after that. Wed., Thurs., Fri. between the repair co. and I on hold 12 hrs. and when we talked to someone 10 different answers. The claims department on Thurs. evening said they didn't have anyone assigned yet and if I didn't like it cancel and I could be replaced. Not in those words but close. This is Sun. night - still no answer and they are close. Remember if you are a customer or were thinking about it don't because if you end up needing help YOU CAN BE REPLACED!!!

Call CarShield just to explore the possible policy, without explaining anything the so call "Specialist" Williams ask for my credit card number. After I said, "No thank you," he mockingly said, "Good luck on your repair." I don't need a repair right now, just thought it was a good concept, this company need some serious training with customer services.

Brought my BMW in for a valve cover leak and check engine light on with a engine miss. The warranty is 176.00 per month and in contract says it covered. They denied the coverage saying it was a problem long ago. Have had warranty several months and approximately 5,000 miles. The people were very rude and denied it and was no help whatsoever. Have been lied to several times. Hope this will help someone else. Beware!!

I contacted CarShield today. I spoke with Ms. Maureen this morning and she provided excellent customer service. I had called and canceled my contract previously and it had not been canceled. When we talked to your help on our transmission, we was told that we had to wait 20 days so they would not be able to help us with this so we had to come up with the money ourself to fix it so I feel that at this time with them our money situation it is best not to pursue this insurance because we don't have the funds.

I purchased American Carshield Dec 14, 2018. Around the 8th of Jan 2019 I started getting a loud hum sound from the front of my Ram. I went to my local repair service. They drove the truck, heard the sound and said I had a front wheel bearing going out. Not wanting a breakdown on the road, I asked them to do the repair and had them call Carshield. Their first call was a 4 hour plus hold. They tried calling the next day and had the same delay. I finally called Carshield and the lady put me on hold and did call the facility. I was then told we had to wait for an inspector to check it out. When the inspector came, he did not even drive the truck to hear the bearing sound. He said I could drive it a couple thousand more miles.
The next day I called Carshield and was told that the claim was denied because that although the inspector found play in the wheels, a video did not show it. Additionally, they said they were concerned that the noise I was hearing was probably there when I took out the policy. I am not that kind of person. The problem was not there. Needless to say, I called back and cancelled the contract. The long hold times, having to wait for an inspector (the service was mad about not being trusted), poor inspector eval, implication I was pulling a fast one are all the reasons I cancelled.

Getting a service contract for my vehicle was the prudent thing to do and CarShield was recommended on talk radio. They're better that my previous auto warranty provider since they have a more comprehensive coverage and they were easy to work with. Everything was pleasant and professional with the reps. Since the purchase, the customer service reps have all been courteous and responsive. I have filed a claim for service with CarShield and in their claims process, they were not contentious and didn’t try to not pay. As for the cost of the warranty, the quality of service that I've received from them has certainly been worth the money. I'm very impressed with them. I’ve recommended them highly to other people and even my local Mercedes dealer has started recommending them.

My daughter's transmission in her Cadillac SRX started slipping 8-months after getting CarShield. The Cadillac dealership said it was a bad torque converter. CarShield sent in a 3rd party inspector to inspect the car. His result was it was damaged due to excess fluid in the transmission. IT'S A SEALED TRANSMISSION!!! The Cadillac dealership head mechanic stated on his report that the 3rd party inspector checked the fluid after they went for a test ride which caused the fluid to expand due to heat and resulting in a false reading. After faxing over the report to CarShield and the head mechanic from Cadillac speaking with a supervisor from CarShield, they still denied our claim. Continuous calling will not get you anywhere. They would put you on hold and never return. The worst experience ever. Never again will we deal with such a ripoff company.

Called to get a quote and the girl said they only offer a 10 to 30 percent discount. Wtf. And she was rushing to get my credit card info. That is when I hung up on her **. They think they can make a buck by lying to people. They should be arrested and taken to prison.

I bought a used car and I purchased a warranty from CarShield. I like the benefits that they have provided like the extended warranty for 125,000-mile. It's one of the best ones in the market. When I purchased the warranty, their rep Sean was very nice and professional. I asked him too many questions and the whole process took about an hour to finish. I filed a claim for a faulty oil leak in the head covers and they fixed it within two days. I am very satisfied with their service. I feel secure having the standard vehicle protection plan. For my next car, I will be calling CarShield for coverage.

As a brand-new potential customer to CarShield: I found their professional and detailed TV commercial on CNN to be quite convincing, which prompted me to make an exception and to actually respond to the infomercial and call them – I almost never did/do that! Soon after my initial email inquiry, a representative calls back. Having conducted extensive online research on the company followed by reading numerous reviews, and after subsequent Q&A session with the representative, I felt the entire experience was impressive, all around, and hence I decided to go ahead and join their warranty program!

I purchased my car with 20,000 miles on it and I wanted to make sure that I have an extended warranty in case anything happens. CarShield seemed to have the best price and offered the most coverage. I ended up purchasing some kind of platinum coverage that covered everything like the engine and all the bells and whistles.
I filed a claim for the navigation system or control panel for the car went out, which I understand is not common. I called CarShield to see if it was something that they would take care of, and they said, “Yes.” Their customer service was professional, very friendly and informative. I took the car to the dealership and then dropped it off, and then the dealership did the actual claim. It was over $3,000 to fix and CarShield fixed it right away. They paid for the whole thing and that in itself paid off the warranty. Then the second claim was the moon roof. It wasn’t opening and closing right, so it was another mechanical error. And again, CarShield fixed it right away. The service and coverage that they’ve given in these claims were excellent. There was nothing hidden about it. The cost is reasonable as well considering that I’ve had such big repairs. I would totally recommend them.
