When I called to get coverage on my classic 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition, I knew it was out of warranty by over 10 years so I figured lets see what CarShield pricing would be to cover my vehicle... Oddly enough it's a typical start at "price", and when mention that seemed high, asked are you a "senior", "why yes..." "Oh, so we cannot offer you a lower "price"... then I said I'm going to think this over, was put on hold for a few minutes, rep came back with "if you purchase today I can lower that price even more"! PRESSURE SALES never get my vote or money. Guess they didn't get my message that I'm not interested because today I get another one of their sales letters in the mail. Thank you for keeping the U.S. mail busy!

It takes way too long to get things approved with CarShield. I got a service contract because I didn’t want a huge expense to repair if something happens, and the dealer filed a claim with them when I had an issue. But then my car was in service for nine weeks because of the back and forth with the company. They said they had to get the adjuster out again to see if they would replace the valve or not. It was just ridiculous. I also never got the reimbursement for my rental car.

I called just to get some information after listening to a tv ad about extended insurance. I was assaulted with rudeness, non-stop talking about the same things over and over and over again, loudly abusive and insulting because I wanted to ask my son about it. I finally had to hang up and went to the website to see all the negative reviews and was flabbergasted. The BBB sent me their info and they will not even give this outfit a rating, that's how awful they are! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING. THEY ARE HIGH PRESSURE MASTERS AND MAKE THEIR MONEY FROM YOUR MONTHLY "contributions". I was really taken aback that they were allowed to advertise after reading about them. If you do have a contract with them, they will find every way possible to deny the coverage and you will be left paying the bill in full. Some people couldn't even get their cars back. CarShield is BAD NEWS!

Customer service is always standby for all of your questions. They're polite and correct. As for claims, we haven't done any so for but I'm sure they will handle everything profoundly and efficiently. Definitely recommended for everyone that looks for an affordable bumper-to-bumper.

Called the customer service and told me that we're having issues... Truck has been in the shop for almost a week. Cant get approved for parts because the company wont answer the phone waited 20 mins and 15 mins several times - tried online claim not available. I have paid for this service and it's basically unusable when I have needed it this week - called for 3 days...they are happy at Car Shield to take payments however they only refer you to the claims dept for no one to be available to answer any questions. Eventually I need to get my truck back so I dont have to walk or hitch rides with other people.. this is ridiculous period.

Emailed through the site expecting an email in return. They called every 30 minutes until I picked up the phone. Once on the phone, and after a transfer to my "specialist", I was given a non-stop sales pitch of how great this coverage was and how lucky I was to have called. I didn't have anything to compare the price to, nor was I ready to commit without researching the company more, so I politely tried to get off the call. The salesperson was completely relentless in trying to push the coverage, even when I told him I would think it over and do my research. I told him I wasn't ready to commit and he actually said "You're never going to be ready to commit." I hung up at that point. If you are confident in your product, let me find out for myself.

My representative Doug was helpful and laid out my payment plan history as well as outlined how many payments I have remaining. He was quick, easy to understand and very professional. Thank you Doug period. I do like to thank CarShield because without them I will be unsure about driving my vehicle everyday as much as I do. With them I know that I'm able to afford any mechanical problems that may come up.

This company has multiple BBB complaints filed against and about them. The excuse I got was that they did not want to pay into BBB for accreditation. That said, the coverage is not as good as they present themselves to be and furthermore, the undue long lengthy waits on hold to speak to a claims adjuster is just nuts. They want to use only the parts they want you to use (more often than not, from wrecking yards and not new), and the delay in obtaining parts from their sources is unreasonable.
The coverage they offer is not any better and in fact worse, than what you could get from the vehicle's manufacturer. Most if not all vehicle insurance plans offer the same or better so it would behoove you the consumer to do the research and sign on with either your own choice of established insurance plans or AAA. Roadside assistance in terms of towing is usually a good idea with whatever insurance plan or agent you do go with. This outfit is a high pressured sales and as such will do whatever it takes to get you to sign on with them. Buyer beware!! AAA offers many of the same things and in some cases, more. I will not recommend or suggest this CarShield to anyone for any reason whatsoever!!!

We just joined this morning. Now canceling! I spent 134 minutes on hold. My husband spent 120 minutes on hold. TOTAL 254 minutes just today!! Too much back and forth between CarShield and American Auto Shield... With NO resolution! Also filing complaints with BBB, etc.

CarShield has done me wrong for an odometer reading that exceed 1,000 but spoke to agent about this before even going to the mechanic. Now waiting four days so they can accept the job to be done when they just canceled my policy at that moment. Now I have to pay my own way to get my car back. Thanks for nothing CarShield. Lost 160.00 in your pocket now.

Got CarShield on November 1, 2018. Paid $130 per month for the last three months. I have a 2013 Cadillac Escalade that I only use for winter. I explained to the salesperson that sold me the contract that the car was only use for winter as I have two other vehicles that I use when it is not snowing. He told me that was fine. No problem. Don’t worry about it.
So recently we had a snowstorm. I got the vehicle out. The car started slipping the transmission. So the car only had about 7 miles on it and the transmission went. Called CarShield regarding it. Asked for a claim. The claim is $6800. They denied it because it was only 7 miles on the car. I explain to them that I only use this car for winter when it snows. I don’t drive the vehicle when it’s not. The car has 107,000 miles on it that is why I only use it for winter when it snows. Still denied. Would not give me a refund. Supervisor would not get on the phone to explain it. So now the car is sitting in the shop with a $6800 bill and I have no way to pay it.
I don’t care if the car has 1000 miles on it or 25,000 miles or 7 miles on it. When you have a warranty, you have a warranty. I asked them if they could pull the tape of the salesperson and they told me no. I told the salesperson it is only a winter car. I explained it again and again and again and they did not want to hear it. With no refund so now I’m giving them a bad review.

Operator wanted credit card info without explaining plans prices, just wanted the 295.00 deposit. I told him he should be in JAIL and I would contact the Better Business Bureau, This company is a scam, ripping off Americans. DO NOT GET BURNED BY THESE PEOPLE.

My brother had CarShield and he had been saying nothing but good things about it so I went with them. When I had a problem with my AC unit, I took it to the Jaguar place but they didn't fix it because it was working. The guy there told me to video the unit showing that it won't come on so that was what I did. When we went out of town, the AC unit acted up again and we brought the car back in. CarShield took care of it and it took three days to get it done. The service was great.

Thank God I didn't put my Mercedes warranty with CarShield. I just got off the phone with my local BMW dealership and the first thing my service advisor mentioned was that he was on hold for more an hour just to speak to someone, a first out of the many car warranty companies he talks to; he then went ahead and mentioned that CarShield will not honor a faulty Oil leak repair I took the car in for which other warranty companies would honor.
I expressly went through what was covered when I signed up for this warranty and was assured that an oil leak among other items I had on my checklist were covered. I'm totally disappointed by this and would have preferred to be told up-front what would not be covered. Please do not be gullible as I was, raked in by a flashy commercial, and sold a scam. Make sure you ask specifically what they cover and what they don't; you will also have to pay a premium upfront and wait 20 days before utilizing the warranty. I'm cancelling my warranty first thing tomorrow morning.

I had CarShield cover a wheelchair van. It's a conversion, so it's very expensive to replace them every 50,000 miles. While I could handle any of the financial issues with the modifications, like if the lift breaks or anything, the bigger issues are if something very big goes on in the car, like the transmission or the engine. But when my transmission went out they took a long time to approve it, and all the documentation they want going years back were something most people don't even keep, like oil changes, transmission changes or tune-up documents. My car's over seven years old, so it took me a while to go through tons and tons of paper to find it
The van waited in the shop for weeks and they didn't cover a rental car for that amount of time. And then, they refused to pay the amount like they advertised on TV. They only would pay 3,200 out of the 4,500, saying that they were gonna ship a new transmission out to the car dealer. Now, at this point, the car dealer said they would make no money. They had to take the whole transmission apart to show CarShield to do the inspection. So, I had to pay the difference. Their advertising is very misleading.
My car dealer said to me, "I just want you to know Denise, if you have another issue that you're gonna want to be covered by CarShield, I won't do it." I had to rent a wheelchair van from them, which I said would only be a few days, which ended up being weeks. And they only have one wheelchair van that they rent out to people who don't even have a wheelchair van.

I took my truck in for a free 40 point inspection from AAA (great company). I got a call that there was some issues. I told them I had extended warranty. They said it would probably be covered. They tried to call CarShield on Tues. 1-22-2019 - were on hold 2 hours. Finally on Wed. morn. tried again - on hold 45 min. Was told a claims adj. would be out. I got the same reply when I called. We got no service after that. Wed., Thurs., Fri. between the repair co. and I on hold 12 hrs. and when we talked to someone 10 different answers. The claims department on Thurs. evening said they didn't have anyone assigned yet and if I didn't like it cancel and I could be replaced. Not in those words but close. This is Sun. night - still no answer and they are close. Remember if you are a customer or were thinking about it don't because if you end up needing help YOU CAN BE REPLACED!!!

Call CarShield just to explore the possible policy, without explaining anything the so call "Specialist" Williams ask for my credit card number. After I said, "No thank you," he mockingly said, "Good luck on your repair." I don't need a repair right now, just thought it was a good concept, this company need some serious training with customer services.

Brought my BMW in for a valve cover leak and check engine light on with a engine miss. The warranty is 176.00 per month and in contract says it covered. They denied the coverage saying it was a problem long ago. Have had warranty several months and approximately 5,000 miles. The people were very rude and denied it and was no help whatsoever. Have been lied to several times. Hope this will help someone else. Beware!!

When we talked to your help on our transmission, we was told that we had to wait 20 days so they would not be able to help us with this so we had to come up with the money ourself to fix it so I feel that at this time with them our money situation it is best not to pursue this insurance because we don't have the funds.

I purchased American Carshield Dec 14, 2018. Around the 8th of Jan 2019 I started getting a loud hum sound from the front of my Ram. I went to my local repair service. They drove the truck, heard the sound and said I had a front wheel bearing going out. Not wanting a breakdown on the road, I asked them to do the repair and had them call Carshield. Their first call was a 4 hour plus hold. They tried calling the next day and had the same delay. I finally called Carshield and the lady put me on hold and did call the facility. I was then told we had to wait for an inspector to check it out. When the inspector came, he did not even drive the truck to hear the bearing sound. He said I could drive it a couple thousand more miles.
The next day I called Carshield and was told that the claim was denied because that although the inspector found play in the wheels, a video did not show it. Additionally, they said they were concerned that the noise I was hearing was probably there when I took out the policy. I am not that kind of person. The problem was not there. Needless to say, I called back and cancelled the contract. The long hold times, having to wait for an inspector (the service was mad about not being trusted), poor inspector eval, implication I was pulling a fast one are all the reasons I cancelled.

Getting a service contract for my vehicle was the prudent thing to do and CarShield was recommended on talk radio. They're better that my previous auto warranty provider since they have a more comprehensive coverage and they were easy to work with. Everything was pleasant and professional with the reps. Since the purchase, the customer service reps have all been courteous and responsive. I have filed a claim for service with CarShield and in their claims process, they were not contentious and didn’t try to not pay. As for the cost of the warranty, the quality of service that I've received from them has certainly been worth the money. I'm very impressed with them. I’ve recommended them highly to other people and even my local Mercedes dealer has started recommending them.

My daughter's transmission in her Cadillac SRX started slipping 8-months after getting CarShield. The Cadillac dealership said it was a bad torque converter. CarShield sent in a 3rd party inspector to inspect the car. His result was it was damaged due to excess fluid in the transmission. IT'S A SEALED TRANSMISSION!!! The Cadillac dealership head mechanic stated on his report that the 3rd party inspector checked the fluid after they went for a test ride which caused the fluid to expand due to heat and resulting in a false reading. After faxing over the report to CarShield and the head mechanic from Cadillac speaking with a supervisor from CarShield, they still denied our claim. Continuous calling will not get you anywhere. They would put you on hold and never return. The worst experience ever. Never again will we deal with such a ripoff company.

Called to get a quote and the girl said they only offer a 10 to 30 percent discount. Wtf. And she was rushing to get my credit card info. That is when I hung up on her **. They think they can make a buck by lying to people. They should be arrested and taken to prison.

I called CarShield to see if they can match another competitor's pricing on vehicle protection. CarShield beat the competitor's price and kept my status the same. I'm extremely satisfied. In the past, I've seen the commercials of CarShield and thought that maybe it could have maybe a scam but truth be told, there is no scam. CarShield offers the best protection for the best value ever. I will recommend CarShield to everyone I know.

I bought a used car and I purchased a warranty from CarShield. I like the benefits that they have provided like the extended warranty for 125,000-mile. It's one of the best ones in the market. When I purchased the warranty, their rep Sean was very nice and professional. I asked him too many questions and the whole process took about an hour to finish. I filed a claim for a faulty oil leak in the head covers and they fixed it within two days. I am very satisfied with their service. I feel secure having the standard vehicle protection plan. For my next car, I will be calling CarShield for coverage.

As a brand-new potential customer to CarShield: I found their professional and detailed TV commercial on CNN to be quite convincing, which prompted me to make an exception and to actually respond to the infomercial and call them – I almost never did/do that! Soon after my initial email inquiry, a representative calls back. Having conducted extensive online research on the company followed by reading numerous reviews, and after subsequent Q&A session with the representative, I felt the entire experience was impressive, all around, and hence I decided to go ahead and join their warranty program!

I purchased my car with 20,000 miles on it and I wanted to make sure that I have an extended warranty in case anything happens. CarShield seemed to have the best price and offered the most coverage. I ended up purchasing some kind of platinum coverage that covered everything like the engine and all the bells and whistles.
I filed a claim for the navigation system or control panel for the car went out, which I understand is not common. I called CarShield to see if it was something that they would take care of, and they said, “Yes.” Their customer service was professional, very friendly and informative. I took the car to the dealership and then dropped it off, and then the dealership did the actual claim. It was over $3,000 to fix and CarShield fixed it right away. They paid for the whole thing and that in itself paid off the warranty. Then the second claim was the moon roof. It wasn’t opening and closing right, so it was another mechanical error. And again, CarShield fixed it right away. The service and coverage that they’ve given in these claims were excellent. There was nothing hidden about it. The cost is reasonable as well considering that I’ve had such big repairs. I would totally recommend them.

I’ve been with CarShield for years. I re-upped the warranty last year, but I had it for five years before that. My vehicle contract was about to expire with Ford and CarShield had sent me something in the mail, and I went with that. A few months ago, I had a claim for my car. The dealership submitted the claim for me. It was the first claim and CarShield was absolutely awesome and was right on it. They sent out an investigator to check it out and they approved it and got the work and everything done. I had the car back in two days. CarShield has done fine for me and I was happy with it. The cost of the warranty was affordable too.

Be very careful considering a warranty from this company. CarShield sells you on a comprehensive warranty, which I found out the hard way is actually very limited. I brought in my Mercedes GL 450 for repair and was turned down for every part. Ended up having to spend $5k on repairs, with no wear and tear parts replaced. Zero coverage for a supposedly comprehensive plan? Plus it took them two weeks to decide on the claim, so I’m out car rental costs as well. Needless to say, cancelled policy immediately and can only hope others do not fall for the same trap.

We sold our car on a Saturday evening. Our next monthly contract renewal was the next day on Sunday. We called Monday to cancel. Technically, this was too late to get a refund according to the contract provisions. Bur CarShield truly went the extra mile and considered the "spirit of the law" and not the "letter of the law". They gave us a refund. We are very grateful.

I am writing about my experience with CarShield. The Sales representative I spoke to had a listening problem. When I told him I wanted the transaction to be ran on the 25th, he kept trying to make the sale today, 1/5/2019. Because of his tactics, I am giving CarShield a negative rating. If you have a late model car, use the factory warranty. Before you sign up for CarShield, think twice. If you don't need it, don't get it. Save your money and your time.

So I called today for a quote to see their rates to cover a 2016 Hyundai Elantra. Carshield advertises to have the best deals and customizable plans however their rates are way more than their competitors' and my car insurance! $295 dep and $123 monthly. I spoke to Philip the sales rep and as I explained I was just calling for a quote. After receiving the quote Philip (who tried to use the tactic "it's just 295 down") goes straight into how would I like to make my payment credit/debit card. He did not think to ask if the rate was affordable (as they claim to have affordable rates etc). I told Philip that I would need to think about it (think about the deposit) and he hung up in my face! Literally just hung up. Again, he did not think to ask if the rate or deposit was affordable or attempt to make a payment plan or so (as many salesman would). These people are just trying to make a sale for their high rates.
Do not expect to be valued here. Do not think you can just call for a quote, you will be prompted to pay for sign up after receiving your quote. If quotes were just given they would allow you to get your quote online like most companies. I should have known something was wrong with them after seeing their infomercial playing at 3am in the morning for 30 mins. As another reviewer quoted Carshield suck. Moving on.

Working with CarShield's rep was easy. He was professional and he knew what he was talking about. He gave me a new car policy since I had low mileage on my car. I felt good, but I didn't feel I was getting taken. There was a time when I had to replace the radio. It was a touchscreen and it had spider-webbing or cracks on it which kept getting bigger and bigger. Eventually, the touchscreen didn't work at all because of that. CarShield sent somebody over to look at it which kind of surprised me because I have a 2014 Cadillac SRX and they said this is a common problem with the car. I had to wait for somebody to come to look at it before they will fix it. It took a few days extra, but it got done. They took it to the dealership and told the dealer to replace the radio.

It is one thing to be loyal to the company but he was not listening to what I wanted. He was talking over me and did not care to listen to me. He became argumentative and condescending when I told him that the package was not the right one for me. I wanted a more comprehensive coverage but the company will not offer that comprehensive coverage due age and mileage. At this point is when the salesperson I talked to started to get very aggressive and rude. I disagree with the information that was presented and he started to argue with me about what is fact and opinions. He was overbearing and he feels that his opinion is the gospel truth. I told him that I was going to look for a better option because I wanted a comprehensive coverage for my car. I will never buy anything from this company.

I liked CarShield's price and the fact that they can cover my car. I felt pretty good about the way they helped me out and how I worked with their reps. I had an engine issue one time and the entire process took 9 months. However, they have a strict mechanic and they only pay through credit card. So, if the mechanic I'm working with doesn't take a credit card, I would not be able to deal with them. Nevertheless, I didn't have to deal with CarShield a lot because the mechanic took care of most of those. The process was easy overall.

I was buying a 10-year old car and upon researching, getting a CarShield warranty looked good. I got the best package they had. A month or two ago at the Mercedes dealer, I submitted a claim and CarShield covered everything. They dragged on a little bit but it was fine. They fixed everything under the warranty and I'm very happy.

I got a phone call about extended warranties and ended up getting it with CarShield. They were the first warranty provider when the warranty with my truck expired, and the only hassle I had was the actual claim. I was having AC problems with my truck and when I was calling the ones from the claim, they said that I can’t make the claim. It has to be from the dealership to make claims. We were like that back and forth for a while. It got a bit frustrating, and then not having the vehicle made it even worse. We got it squared out after the third day. It was two different guys that I spoke with in the claims department. I also called several numbers before I can try to get something done.
I took the truck to the dealership and had to give them consent for them to check it. And before I did that, I called CarShield and told them. They said that they would not cover the AC if there were no issues with it and it would be out of my pocket. And unless there was an issue, that they would cover it. I wasn’t aware of that. When I took the truck in, an actual adjuster from CarShield had to be sent out. It took the adjuster three days and within those three days, I was without a vehicle. CarShield couldn't approve a rental until the adjuster went in to tell them to go ahead and deal with the issue. I left the truck for a whole week. The rental only covers three days. Since the dealership took a while, they covered it one day, and I had to pay an additional day myself out of my pocket.
I wasn’t aware of all the claims procedures and I should have asked a little bit more questions. I was new to this and my first time getting an extended warranty. I did not know it took that long to get a claim done on a vehicle. I know it depends on the issue of it, but I actually had to take the truck to a different shop where they were ASE-certified. I had taken it to one, and then the mechanic called, but he didn’t have to check it or whatnot. So, I said, “You know what? I’m just gonna go straight to the dealership.” What more ASE-certified can a person get when they go to a dealership from where I bought it? I know dealerships tend to take a bit, but it was an AC job and it was necessary. But it also should not take that long, from a Monday to a Monday. Nevertheless, CarShield covered the claim and approved the vehicle after a while.

I had a 2010 Audi and I used the Carshield services twice. One time just for the towing services (which they paid for) and then another time when I had to get some new fuel injectors and spark plugs etc...which totaled like $780 and I had to pay like half of that out of pocket ($331). So after 2 years of faithfully paying $170 per month with these people (Carshield) I had a major issue with the Audi (cylinder misfire low compression) which for repairs cost up to $4000, they refused to pay for any of it and tried to make it seem as if it were my fault, so I ended up trading the vehicle for a brand new one. I don't know how some of you had a 5 star experience with this company but to me they sucked. Simple as that!

I had a couple of people who referred me to CarShield. I checked out a bunch of different companies and CarShield was the one I really liked the most. Everything seemed to be okay, except for the fact that I had to wait for an adjuster to come and look at my truck. On Friday, I took it to the Toyota dealer. CarShield didn’t want any more miles put on the truck. I had a computer module go out. They didn’t know whether somebody could come on Friday and look at it or whether it’d be Monday. They told me they knew what the problem was and how much it would cost but they couldn't do any repairs until the adjuster would come out and approve it.
They came out Monday afternoon and approved the work to be done, and then they ordered the part. Tuesday, my truck got fixed. And then I had to wait until Wednesday till it got paid before I could get my truck back. The whole bill was about $2,800. CarShield covered everything but they didn’t cover the $100 deductible, but that was understandable in the beginning. Everything was taken care of well so I was happy with it. The only inconvenience was the five days without my truck. If it had been something else, I could’ve gotten a rental car. But they looked at how much time it was gonna take for somebody to replace the part and they would’ve paid for the rental for one day. Nevertheless, I’ve recommended them to other people.

My car needed a transmission and alternator and both times that my car was taken to the dealership CarShield tried to pay for my car to be repaired with USED parts. I had to wait more a little over 6 weeks to have the transmission issue squared away and they only wanted to pay less than $200 for an alternator. An alternator for my car is $700 but I would've had to pay the remaining balance. That sucks being I already was paying CarShield $165 a month. I dropped my services. They are not worth the money.

Absolutely unreal. I called to see about an extended warranty on a 2014 Porsche with 2600 miles on it. They had a plan called the diamond planned but they are asking me to pay upfront $129 before I can even see any paperwork on what covered. I told them, "Do you not have a sample contract so I can see in writing everything that’s covered under this extended warranty" and the answer was, "No. You need to pay the money upfront $129 and then we will send you the contract and you can see what’s covered". Bottom line is I will look elsewhere.

Today I contacted them about their services, as I'm in the market for extended warranty on my MINI. The first guy on the phone seemed nice, but when he put me in contact with the sales guy, it was totally different. This guy was very pushy and condescending. He told me about a deluxe package, but when I asked if there is another option he dismissed the idea and said I wouldn't want that one. He seemed annoyed when I asked other questions about the total price and why do they only have a 36K mile plan. Then I told him I would not buy on the first contact, and still need to evaluate my options. He proceeded to be a bit too aggressive even after I told him it wasn't how I wanted to go about this. After a couple back and forths on that, I had to hang up. If they are a solid company, they should not have to employ such aggressive sales tactics or have arrogant sales reps! After reading the other negative reviews here, seems I am dodging a bullet.

I received a call from Carshield. I decided to pay in August believing in the service. I had already fixed everything on my car at 190,000 miles. I paid for the service. 3 months later I needed a transmission, after going through the loopholes I was told I had to sign for a diagnosis which means take the transmission out. Long story short they refused the claim and refused to pay to put my transmission back into my car. DO NOT TRUST THEM OR THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

CarShield was on the radio that I was listening to and it sounded like a good deal. They were able to prove that to me and their customer service was really good. There was a recall on my vehicle and I paid a lot of repairs out of pocket. I filed a claim which was very easy and I was reimbursed. The lady that I was dealing with communicated very well and kept me apprised of the things that were going on with the claim. The quality of their service is excellent and I especially enjoy the fact that although I have a bit of an older car, CarShield affords me the opportunity to be able to go to a dealer for my repairs. Other car providers have been calling and I keep telling them I've got CarShield and I'm good.

I have been with CarShield for over 2 yrs. We are on the National do not call list. I get at the minimum of 3 phone calls a week. Each time I inform the 3 people I talk to that we are on the DNC list yet it continues. Why would I toss 2 yrs of payment in the trash? Why would I work with a company who insists on calling despite being told the above? Leave us alone!!!

About a year ago, I had about 85,000 miles on my car and I drive my car three hours a day every day so I decided to get a service contract. A lot of the other auto warranty providers that I get spam phone calls from, I find very offensive. I didn’t appreciate that and went with CarShield. A couple of months ago, I had a claim and it was no problem at all. I sent the car to the dealership. They then called me on the phone and they called CarShield. I had to leave the car there for a day. As soon as they verified there was a problem, they ordered the part, replaced it, and I had it back. It is very expensive to a degree to which I’m actually gonna use it but it was good service.

My sister had told me what she had experienced when she went through CarShield, and based on that, I decided to go with them as well. Once, I called in to find out whether something was covered and they said that basically, I did have a warranty. I had to take the car to the dealership and find out what was going on with it. I was initially told that the issue was because of my window, that it might be the switch and that it was covered. But when I got to the dealership to get it fixed, I was told it wasn’t gonna be covered. I ended up having to pay for the fees.
In the interim though, there was something else wrong with my car. CarShield covered it under warranty but it was a long process. It took about a week for the specialist to come out to check it out. That was frustrating to me because I was without a car. Normally, it should be 24 hours. Then while getting the car fixed, I hadn’t got my car back but I couldn’t get it extended. It ended up working out though. I got a car after the fact but it was not a good experience for me. I thought about cancelling the coverage but I decided I'm gonna see if my car needs any other work and if the next experience is not a good experience, then it’s gonna be cancelled. I considered the amount of money that I had to spend. Plus they said it was good for that “reason”. But the hoops I had to go through to get to that was just exhausting.

The service contract for the vehicle was purchased through the previous owner. He told me he worked with CarShield and had the car serviced, and he said that he was actually happy with them. So, I had him transfer me all the documents and all the paperwork for CarShield. I paid his late payments, the transfer fee, and I've been paying since then.
I asked the previous owner what was the best place to service this car and I did a lot of pre-maintenance that I shouldn't have done. For instance, I changed the intakes ahead of time and changed all the spark plugs. I spent about $3,000 myself into the vehicle. Right now, the shop ordered an air compressor since my air compressor went out. And through CarShield, they even painted the air compressor there and the work. I'm recommending CarShield to my friends and cousins. CarShield is personally great. With how long I had the car, I only had minor issues but they were on top of it right away. I would get this warranty for my other car too, which I'm thinking of doing as soon the factory warranty is up.

Steve was the agent I was talking to. He uses high pressure to try and get you to pay for a plan that you have yet to discuss with your spouse. Is it okay for you to get calls at work that take you from your job to discuss things like this. I want to work there! He wanted me to agree to the Gold plan and make a payment that I needed to discuss with my husband. Instead of offering to have someone call me back at 5 pm. He said I should feel honored that CarShield accepted my car because it was over 10 years old and if I call back later I may not be accepted. My car is in excellent shape. It only has 72,000 miles on it. We have had it for 5 years. It is obvious we take care of the car. This tactic speaks very poorly for CarShield and I did speak to my husband when he called me at lunch. He says for this treatment there is no way CarShield has anyone's best interest in mind.

My warranty expired and I got CarShield. Their coverage sounded good. They covered almost everything so I picked them. So far, it is working fine for me. I filed a claim for my computer. The radio would not come in because the computer was messed up. I took it to the dealership and they fixed it right away, same day. CarShield took care of it. I won't recommend anybody else but CarShield. I told my girl who got a new car that she needs warranty on that thing and that CarShield covered my computer and my radio, and no other company would do that. CarShield is the best warranty I’ve ever seen.

I bought a warranty with this company last year. I decided to cancel it because it became too expensive. I never used it, so I wanted a refund. Upon purchasing the warranty, I did let the rep know that I drove a lot of miles. I was told I would be covered up to 160,000 (First untruth). I wasn't. I was only covered for 125,000. So when I cancelled, I was told I would get a refund. Then when I didn't receive it, I called. They gave me some story about driving past the mileage - not true? Yes- I drove 40,000 miles from the date of purchase, but I was covered for 125,000. I wasn't over? I went back and forth with the Rep!! Never again, will I ever buy an warranty! I'm out of 1,350.00!!!

I had a new 2016 Chrysler 200 covered by CarShield. Had an electrical problem. Dealer called, repairs not covers. 6 months later, I sell the car, notify them in writing and by phone. 6 months later, they still taking money. Filed a complaint with my bank to stop the deduction. 3 months later, they send me an email stating I had a refund due. Received a refund check for 146.26, though they had taken 299.99 per month for 6 months of non-coverage! Deposited the check, came back “account closed”! Is it me or...

I got this car and all of a sudden, something went out and it needed to be repaired. It was part of the warranty coverage. I didn’t know I had extended warranty until my wife told me CarShield takes $166 out of our checking account every month. But when I got in touch with CarShield, nobody wanted to hear what I had to say. So then I went to the garage that I deal with and let them go through it. They knew what was going on and they knew the parts that needed to be done.
But then the person at CarShield kept saying they don’t need them kind of parts because my car is only one-year-old, not even quite a good year. They kept saying, “You don’t have to do this. You can put the fluid.” I remember one thing they said that something with the transmission fluid, once you pour it, you can put it back in. The dealer was telling them, “No, you can't because of the debris that’s in it.” I don’t like that. You need to be on the up and up and you know that you can't pour it back. Why would you try to cut corners? It was a tough back and forth. Finally, they ended up okaying to put a new fluid because the new fluid was very expensive. I've been thinking about getting rid of CarShield, but I don’t wanna be without a warranty and then don’t have a way to get my car fixed.

I like CarShield's price and I have multiple cars covered by their auto warranty. I'm on the road all the time and I don’t have time to take care of my cars, so I purchased service contracts for them. So far, my experience with them and my dealings with their reps have been good. I filed one claim when the turbocharger went out in my CX-7. I carried it in and they sent the adjuster, then they took care of it. But the only thing was that I have spare cars, so I did not have to do rental. But if I didn’t use that service, it would be nice if the rental fund could be thrown and rolled back into the deductible that they apply per call. Nevertheless, so far I haven't had any problems with CarShield.

I have a BMW and if something goes wrong with them, it’s very expensive. I searched the web, read reviews and decided to go with CarShield as a warranty provider. Everything was fine when I purchased the warranty from them. But two months ago, I drove my car to South Carolina and my transmission went out. We didn’t know at the time, and the people from CarShield said they were gonna get an inspector out there within 24 to 48 hours. But it exceeded that and it might’ve been almost three days. I didn’t receive any phone calls to let me know or update me, so I had to call. But that was the only issue I ever had with them. They accepted everything and that was the good part. CarShield is a good company and I have a good experience with them as of now.

It was near 100 deg F. when I started my Lincoln to drive home from work. Naturally I put on the Max A/C and the car began to cool down. Not 400 yards later the HVAC system switched itself to Max Heat! I struggled to regain control of it and get to the dealer. Twice more it auto-switched out of Max Cool to Max Heat before I could reach the dealership. I called CarShield from there and had the $1200 repair made... for only my $100 deductible. :o)

My car is 11 years old and it is getting up there in age. I told myself that I should get some car protection for it. I got CarShield and it paid out because about five months later, I had a transmission issue. The people from CarShield were very helpful. When I needed some information, they pointed me in the right direction. When I had a claim, I called first to find out what I should do. I asked them which shop will my car be taken and they said anyone that had an ASE. And then, I went to the internet and I started looking at transmission shops and found one near my house. I called them up and asked them if they take insurance like CarShield. They do, so I took my car there and they took over it. CarShield's coverage was good. They made sure that the transmission was not abused and the inspector from CarShield went to look over the car, looked at the transmission and he made the approval.

CarShield really takes care of me. They were great with explaining things to me during setup and they went over what would be covered. Then I filled the paperwork, sent it all in and then they emailed it all back. If I have any issue with my car, I just take it to the dealership and then my service guy there would notify them. It was a great deal that was offered to me through the dealership and I would definitely recommend CarShield to anybody. I got it on my wife's car too.

I was concerned over the expense of auto repair and decided to purchase a service contract. I went back and forth with CarShield’s reps over what kind of a plan I was getting and then I signed on. When I've had a claim, my experience has been very good as well. I just bring my car in. Then the dealership goes ahead and submits the estimate. They get an approval and we’re done. I’m very satisfied with CarShield. If you don’t have a coverage plan, you ought to go out and get one.

They gave me time to think about it and they called back when I had an answer. They gave me a plan that I liked and I decided to use them. Once, the screen on my car went out and it wasn't responding when I touched it. I called CarShield and their customer service was very thorough and polite. The claims process went very well. So far, my experience with CarShield has been excellent and I've been satisfied with them. If something goes wrong with my car, I'm covered. I'm relaxed.

I received a letter in the mail from CarShield about warranty on my transmission and power train so I decided to give them a call and when I tell you the guy I spoke with was EXTREMELY unprofessional, it was disappointing. I wish I remembered his name. He gave me all these “discounts” to get me to buy the warranty that day. When I told him I simply didn’t have the money that day, he said “put it on a credit card”. I told him I didn’t have a credit card and I had less than $100 to my name. He kept saying, "Well the price is $90. You really can’t do that today?"
Told him I would call back when I had money and he told me to post date it as to which I KINDLY declined. Keyword: KINDLY during this entire conversation. Finally at last after 20 minutes of trying to get my debit card information I politely said, “I’m very sorry, but I will have to call back when I have the money” and then HE HUNG UP. Extremely unprofessional and don’t think I’ll bother to call back. God forbid I get stuck in a loop of “put it on your credit card!” And “I gave you all these discounts, why can’t you buy it now?”

I didn’t feel the dealership’s extended warranty was enough, so I was doing some research on third-party extended warranties. I read some reviews and there was a lot of positive reviews on CarShield so I went with them. The rep who helped me get set up was very helpful. I had a negative experience with my first and only claim, though. I had transmission issues, so I initially called to see what my options were and what the process was. The initial person I spoke to didn't wanna be on the phone and was very standoffish. But after that situation, everything has been great so far. He led me to another person who then took care of the process.
The overall cost was good. When I was initially signing up, the premium was a little lower, but the monthly was higher. I got that switched over where the monthly was lower but the premium was a little higher than originally, but it still worked out. I would recommend CarShield. It's what everybody says. Everything has been good so far.

I was in a financial situation which was going to make it imposable to keep my CarShied Account. But the gentleman I spoke with was able to work things out so I could keep my account. He was able to move my payment from Dec 4th to Jan 5th 2019 which enabled me to be able to keep my account.

SCAM!!! I was scammed out of over 600 dollars! It all started out as a lie they sold. They sent a letter saying "your warranty is almost up", me thinking it's actually coming from the dealership. Their advertisement says it's 30,000 parts on car, Carsheild only cover 2! Engine and Trans, I had to find out the hard way. The guy that got me to buy the warranty said they cover small parts like brakes, which was a lie...
Later I got a warranty from the dealership (what I should've did in the first place), CARSHIELD cancel my warranty (like I wanted to) and said "because we had to cancel your warranty, we can't give you none of your money back, it's in the contract"... Mind you, I called them 3 or 4 times to get my car fix and it was always some excuse... When I tried to cancel the 3 time, they wouldn't let me, by talking me to death, and giving me a free month without pay. Over 600 down the drain! Go through your car dealership!!!

My initial call brought me to tears (good tears)! They sincerely care about their customers (new & I’m sure old)! Programs in place to help people like myself dealing with health issues & fixed income! Restores my faith in society even in this messed up world!! Customer service goes above and beyond! Car warranty on my 2004 Cadillac Escalade EXT - Representative Cory was very informative and pleasant. He explained what was covered under the policy and made sure I understood everything about the policy. I accidentally gave the VIN number of my brother's car instead of my truck and called Customer service to let them know and the representative was very pleasant and helpful in changing the information.

I just needed a clarification on my coverage. I wasn't sure about my expiration date, but the young lady helped me out. The contract expiration date appeared to be one month after my purchase, but she explained that it is a month to month contract and I am still active.

Car shield is a money pit that is absolutely useless. Good luck finding a garage in your area that accepts CarShield or as one place replied, "No." He had issues getting paid. I called 3 times. No help. Oh 1 service station that could take me in 2 or 3 weeks. I called back this morning to cancel after shelling out almost a grand. The rep kept me on the phone trying not to cancel. She finally said she would. Let's see if they steal more money from me, I informed my bank of the situation.

I had heard of this place on the radio so I made the mistake of subscribing. However, due to some unexpected expenses I had to cancel, with the intention of coming back early 2019. I paid the down payment and realized I just couldn't' make the monthly payment so I sent a cancellation in. Of course they managed to keep my down payment. I will never ever subscribe to this place again and I'm now telling all my friends and anyone else that will listen to me to never subscribe either. I will never understand why a huge company is willing to screw people out of a couple hundred dollars. DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO SCREW YOU TOO.

I wanted full coverage of everything and CarShield was able to meet this. However, it was just a little bit of a hassle. I learned a lot because I had an issue with the car and third-party providers were a little hard to deal with. The dealership wouldn’t release the car until CarShield pays. It was a lot of red tape just to get them to pay the dealer. It was ridiculous and it was terrible. Even the day I went down to the dealer when the car was done, we had to sit there until these people decided to pay them. Also, I was without a car for over a week or more, and I only got a rental car for three days. It was a very bad experience that we shouldn’t have had to go through. It should be simpler and it shouldn't be so much back and forth, especially with the amount of money that I paid for. I’m also still waiting for another check that I laid out money that they’re supposed to pay me.

I was given the opportunity to pay off the balance and did decide to do that. She gave me the option of making two payments. I will now be covered and have fewer payments to make and got a dollar amount deducted for paying off the balance.

When the transmission went out on my car, I contacted CarShield and their customer service team was very professional and knowledgeable. I had to get my car towed to the dealer and I gave my dealer the information. Everything got taken care of. CarShield even paid for my rental, so I was very satisfied. They're a wonderful company and they stand behind their word. I'll recommend them to anyone.

My warranty expired because of the age of my car. And it's an Infiniti, so it's gonna keep driving for a long time. I always believe in having service contracts because they pay off 99% of the time, so I like to have protection. CarShield had a good reputation. Usually, when one car reaches the end of its warranty, I get a new one. So, this is my first experience with having an extended warranty. I had to have the car worked on and it covered some things, which was good, although it didn't cover as much as I wish it had.

I had a problem before with the radio. Filing the claim was hard as CarShield had the dealership record the radio filed. CarShield thought that something fell behind and called to go out, it was a mess about it. After three weeks, they decided they were gonna give me aftermarket. Then I argued with them and told them it wasn’t right, that the radio that was in there was a factory radio with a DVD player. They ended up giving me the same, a brand new one.
I just had experienced another deal with CarShield about the transmission. They sent the dealership a bad transmission and I had a rental car. The dealership told them what was wrong with it, and that took a little longer because CarShield had to send out another one. CarShield told me that I couldn’t have the rental car any longer than a certain amount of days and it wasn’t my fault. If they just kinda tighten up as well as the parts and stuff that they supply, it will be a whole lot better.

My vehicle had a bumper-to-bumper warranty when I bought it. It was going out and I wanted to keep it. The CarShield rep I dealt with was a professional. All of my claims went well, except for the last one. I had an issue with my car then I called CarShield and they told me what to do. I took it to the dealer. Justin came out and took a look at it and then he gave the okay to it and did the work. I was without a vehicle and they even gave me one. Gigi explained to me that some electrical stuff was not covered and I wasn’t happy about that. She said she would send me the whole copy of the warranty in the mail but I didn't remember getting one. They're gonna send me another copy in the mail. Once I see the whole breakdown of the bumper-to-bumper, then I can really understand it. In spite of that, CarShield took care of me. It was a good experience.

I refuse to do service with them, that is no way to do business.

We wanted to keep our cars until we run them to death so I figured putting a warranty on those would help out with maintenance for a couple more years. The CarShield rep answered all my questions professionally and made the deal sound like it was something that we should definitely take advantage of. I only had one claim put in and they fixed the problem. I just had one part that was denied at the time. I called to find out how the process works as I never did it before. The dealership would be the one to communicate with CarShield so I had to make sure that they had all the information and followed through.
I lost a day or two waiting for the approval as I had to have somebody come out and look at the car. I finally got approved and then the dealership got the part. I was without a car for five days. CarShield was quick about the service once I called them. Having them is a good thing and it would give the cars more years of security of some major items that could go wrong.

When I called CarShield, I negotiated the rate down to what I was already paying for my pre-existing warranty, so it only cost me around 3 grand. I also worked the downpayment and the monthly out to a good rate. They were very flexible and it worked out to my benefit. I have a GMC Terrain, so it's one of the newer vehicles that they've sort of made all-electric, and those components are very sensitive. If one thing happens, you have to replace everything, so it's really, really expensive. So, I'm glad I made the purchase with CarShield to extend the warranty out.
Everybody has been friendly and nice. When I needed to purchase the battery, I used my CarShield warranty to tow my vehicle. The gentleman I spoke with when I got my vehicle towed was very nice and very helpful. He even offered to stay on the phone with me if I didn't feel safe. I told him I was in a safe location and I was fine. The tow truck person that came out was very nice and knowledgeable as well. He took a really good, thorough time with assessing my vehicle to see if he could solve the problem before he hooked it up to tow it. He was even helpful with the dealership guy. It was all a wonderful experience. I would recommend CarShield.

Truck needed a new alternator and belt, something which caught me by surprise. I took the truck to Pep Boys and they found what I needed and told me. CarShield was very helpful in authorizing the place where I had the truck worked on to replace the bad parts, Very glad I had CarShield. With my vehicle having accumulated so many miles, it is worth the money to have CarShield to keep the vehicle running for many more miles and years.

My son is legally mentally disabled with Autism and Asperger's. He is able to drive and recently bought a used Blazer that is 17 yrs old. It's a junk vehicle only used for short trips since he doesn't go many places. He was so proud about getting his own vehicle that he thought CarSheild would be a good idea. They sold him a policy that he didn't need for almost $200 per month for a car that was only purchased for $1500.
They were charging him more than what a monthly car payment would be on a 17yr old junker all over the phone. And they did it knowingly to a young man who is mentally disabled, it's not hard to tell over the phone either. You can ask him his name and it will take him minutes to respond, ask if he's hungry and wait minutes for a yes or no or even an I don't know. So there was no way he could have answered all the info for the policy or have agreed to all the legalities. This is type of company they are. They only care about taking your money, not about covering your vehicle.

I spoke to another lady before and everything was good with CarShield except for I had to wait too long. First, they took 24 to 48 hours before somebody came out to agree with the dealer what was wrong with it. After they agreed with the dealer, it took another two to three days before the parts that my car needed were delivered. So it sat for four to five days before work even started. Before they would approve a rental, I had to pay for the first four days of rental myself because I had to wait for them to deliver. They should be liable for covering the rental fees for that amount of time, not just have a certain amount that they'll cover up. They also didn't inform me of how long it was gonna take for them before they could even start working on my car. I know I had to wait for them to deliver the part but they didn't give me a new part. They gave me a used part and that I wasn't too happy with. But it worked fine so I'm okay with it. Everything else was good.

The coverages sold to me over the phone are not the same as the contract. They listed mileage wrong in the contract and denied a claim for a part that in the phone conversation said would be a covered part. They refuse to correct the issue so I got a 3600.00 worthless lil book.

The lady from CarShield explained that my factory warranty would expire and I would need something. She told me that the longer I wait, the more expensive it would be so I decided to go. They sent me the forms for the packet and stuff then I started paying it. I paid it all off eventually. When I heard something on the undercarriage arm, I filed a claim for it to be replaced and I just finished doing it. I had it done in a Subaru and the quality of CarShield's service has been good so far.

To maintain my vehicle, I felt comfortable with CarShield as a warranty provider. If any emergencies occurred, I would be covered. I had a great interaction with the rep and he was able to convince me to get the coverage. Any questions I had at that moment were answered. I filed a few claims but whoever was taking care of my case would never communicate with me. A few years back, my alternator went bad. They saw a leak from the seal of the head of the motor. I literally had to pay for the alternator and $500 had to come out of my pocket. I didn’t know about it and so my mechanic called me. If I paid CarShield for the coverage, it would be common courtesy to tell me the reason why something went bad and what they would cover as well as those that will come out of my pocket. I should be getting that information from them directly. That happened three times. Other than that, everything is perfect.

The CarShield reps were very polite when I purchased the warranty. When I had my motor breakdown, it was all handled by the company I took the car to and CarShield. It took a little while but they got it all done. They did a very good job. I don't have to worry in case something was to happen since I have CarShield. I feel more relaxed when I'm driving now than I did before.

I have a nice vehicle and I want to keep it running. My warranty from the dealer had just ran out and I got another one from CarShield. I bought it over the phone and their rep worked with my price range and made it happen. CarShield's reps have all been helpful and good about taking care of everything. I had to use the warranty and they took care of it. However, the claim filing process took a while. I called the claim in right away and took my car to the mechanic shop and it took about a week before they can even get an appraiser to show up. I was out of my vehicle for about a month. Still, CarShield's service was good. I would recommend them.

CarShield did not cover anything when I got my car fixed. I had $1,700 worth of things wrong and they covered zero dollars. Such a rip off. Don’t waste your money please, you will not be satisfied... thumbs down.

Jeff was the best in really describing it my Cancelation better to me and not to worry about it. He told me not to stress out and I was worried because I had cancel my Extended warranty Due to that my wife got lay-off And I got an email saying that they wanted the letter the next day. I’ve heard about how good CarShield is, so I thought I'd do it. The cost of the warranty was excellent and I've had a very good experience with their reps. I filed an engine and suspension claim recently for my Buick. We called them up and told them what it was, and then the dealer got a hold of them and it was all taken care of. We didn’t have to do anything and it was very smooth and absolutely perfect. CarShield is doing great work and they stand behind what they tell people they’re gonna do.

I saw an ad that showed what CarShield had to offer. When I talked to them on the phone, they reassured me that that’s what it was, so I went with their deductible on my policy and everything has been working out great. Every time I've taken my truck to a service or when something happened to it, they've covered it, so I’m extremely happy with the service. It has been over a year now since I had CarShield and I wouldn’t turn anywhere else. I had several new cars and warranties, but they are definitely supportive when it comes to me having problems with my vehicle and they pay in a timely manner, too. The price of the warranty that they gave me is definitely efficient for me.
Filing a claim for service with them was great. The representatives at CarShield are very supportive and understandable. I was in Atlanta, Georgia and my truck totally shut down. I called them first and they said that the only thing I had to do was go to a dealership and give them CarShield's number, and they would communicate with them. I went to the dealership and I told them the CarShield number. The dealership contacted them and communicated with them. Then, the dealership communicated with me and told me that the claim was filed and that they were gonna bring out the inspector to inspect the problems. They came right out a day later and everything went great. It was my first time filing a claim and, being on the road with my family, it was a good experience for me.

I took my 06 Dodge Durango to the dealership because of check engine light. To make a long story short Car Shield did not want to help with repairs because of how it broke down, also I did not have this vehicle a year & now have to abandon it because of this action. I would never use them again. No thank you for this terrible experience.

The representative answered all the questions I had and went through all different kinds of things. There wasn't any hesitation as well. The level of knowledge and expertise of the rep was awesome. Everything was fine with CarShield. When my car wasn’t starting, I called them and they said I could take it to a mechanic or dealership. I went to the dealership and told them I had CarShield and they kind of scrunched their face a little bit saying lots of them don’t pay off good. So, I went to the waiting room. A couple of minutes later, the guy came out and said CarShield accepted it. There was no question. So, my car got fixed and I paid my deductible. I already had the confidence in CarShield from the people I’ve spoken to. I’m telling everyone about CarShield. I told my sister about it and she got it.

I bought a car and I couldn’t handle the service myself, so I needed a backup. I had to get some estimate and I like what I heard about CarShield when it was being advertised. They worked in fitting my budget. Their certified vehicle protection specialist was nice and they’re good to work, too. They helped me save a lot of money. When I filed a claim for the car's little bits of lights, it was a simple thing for me to do. A special mechanic has to do the lights and CarShield took care of all of that. They do not try to rob and knock us holding our pocket either. I’m glad I got CarShield. They are good to have in case something happens to our car.

CarShield was the first company that came across the TV screen and I thought I gotta do something. The rep who helped me purchase the warranty was excellent and he told me everything I needed to know. Plus, when I had to file a claim, the customer service rep did it himself. The experience with CarShield was good but they should have used a Nissan transmission on the car. When it went out, Nissan would not have anything to do with it. If they used a Nissan transmission and it went bad and it went out in less than 30 days, Nissan would’ve covered my transmission with no problem and CarShield wouldn’t have anything to do with it. My car has been in the shop twice. CarShield didn’t want to pay for the transmission again and gave me the runaround which I didn’t like.

I have a new vehicle and I like to keep up on the maintenance like a crazy person. The people I talked to on the phone from CarShield were nice and their rep asked me all the questions that he was supposed to ask like what were my concerns about buying a new car. We got everything done efficiently. He was also very knowledgeable and he answered all the questions I had for him to the best of his knowledge. It didn't seem like he was making anything up.
Other than that, when I made a payment over the phone, the customer service reps helped me set up the automatic pay so that I don’t have to keep calling them every month. And as far as filing a claim, I already did that twice and both were successful. I took my vehicle to the dealer and the dealer did all the work. They called the warranty place, got the approval, and the dealer called me back. All I had to do was send them a copy of the invoice. And when I filed a claim for an AC compressor, the service was awesome. All in all, I feel more secure knowing that if something catastrophic happens with the car or with its computer system, as long as I keep up with my payments and I’m doing things on my end, CarShield will cover everything, which is great.

I bought a policy a couple of months ago on one of my vehicles and they didn't say anything about you have to go 1000 plus your 30 days when I bought the policy and now the vehicle is in the shop needing a new transmission and CarShield is fighting to pay for it. You need to make sure you tell everything about the policy because I bought a warranty to fix my vehicle when it breaks not have to go 1000 miles and if anything happens before then.

Over a year ago I purchased CarShield. I am financing the warranty. I have paid $2403 so far. I just had my first breakdown out of town. Alternator went out. This happened on a Sunday. I tried to call and get an approval for a fix but couldn't get in touch with anyone since it was a weekend. The emergency fix only covered up to $250. Alternator and install was over $400. The real issues is on Monday when I was able to take it to a shop, the shop called CarShield and tried to make a claim. I was then notified my car has a salvage title and they wouldn't fix anything on the car. Issue is, this car is perfect and doesn't have a salvage title. They only talked to the mechanic who doesn't know. They canceled my plan and only refunded $195 after I have paid them thousands.
The mechanic actually asked this question. "So you knew it had a salvage title (which it doesn't) and you were going to let my customer keep paying you with absolutely no intent on paying out when a claim is made?" He was told, "Yep. What could we do." So, not only were they never going to pay a claim, but if they thought my car had a salvage title, then why would they ever agree to cover my car? Why didn't they check it before? It has a clean title but no one ever asked to see a copy of it or anything. Just took my money and canceled the plan when I tried to use it. I am feeling like a lawsuit is in order. Thank you so much CarShield for ripping me off.

My husband had older cars and the warranty was running out. He got a warranty from CarShield because of the cost and convenience. He liked them more and CarShield is great. My husband called them and within a short period of time, he was able to speak with the representative. He told them what the problem he thought it was. My husband had to leave the car at the repair shop and the representative arranged to have someone come out to look at the car and test it to make sure that what my husband thought the problem was in fact, the true problem. After that, the rep authorized the repair shop to go ahead and fixed my husband’s car. When the car was fixed, my husband came with the deductible, and Carshield took care of the rest. Then my husband picked up his car. CarShield's service is really good. We would definitely recommend them to other people and to friends.

I would never recommend this warranty company to anyone. They try to underpay their customers. They're very rude and untruthful at United Car Care. I recommend that you don't take out a warranty with them. I have went through a lot with this warranty company. I'm still fighting with them for my money. They don't tell you that if you're in New York you pay sale tax on repairs. They try to put used parts in your car. This has been the worst company I ever dealt with. There is nothing good to say about CarShield United Car Care. They are false advertisement. I continue to fight with them for my rental reimbursement money. Disappointed customer.

Today we are traveling from TN to FL to take care of a friend's house and pets while she goes on vacation. My KIA Sorento stops working in GA. We had it towed to a KIA dealership. The mechanic checked the car and said the oil looked good and was full. He called CarShield to start a claim. The man he talked to said that we had to provide receipts for oil changes. Why do we have to do that? How are we suppose to do this? We are not home, we are on vacation! So we had to rent a car to get to FL. In the meantime my car is sitting in GA and I don't know how it's going to get fixed!
We bought this insurance coverage if something happened like this while we were traveling. We expected to file a claim and not be put through the wringer! We have paid our monthly payments and for what??? I hope CarShield will honor the warranty that I thought we were buying and fix my car without further issues. Thanks!

The AC fan motor went out on our BMW. Car Shield covered an aftermarket part, but not the relay switch, which is like a fuse that prevents the Compressor from running and causing more damage to the AC unit. Trying to get the person on the phone to understand that it’s part of the AC unit that allows it to run was like pulling teeth. He just didn’t get it. I hated to call Car Shield every time that the auto shop talked to them. It’s was like they didn’t trust the auto shop. Never got the same person who you began to deal with. It was hard trying to contact the same person, no work could be started on your vehicle until you recontacted Car Shield people several times EVEN after you approved the work to be done. Cancelled my Contract... was not happy with Car Shield Service.

CarShield is a good company. They’ll come in if something happens to your car. I've had two claims so far and with the first time, I called CarShield to ask them how to do it. They told me that you just give the service people the number and they would talk to them. When I took the vehicle to the dealership, the experience was great. But when I took it to the Firestone in Pascagoula, the person there was horrible. The CarShield guys were good though. And it worked out well. I like the warranty and I will probably purchase it again when it runs out in case something happens. I'd tell others to get some coverage too. It’s good to have. It helps you out. The representative I dealt with when I purchased mine was great too. She explained everything to me.
