    We wanted to keep our cars until we run them to death so I figured putting a warranty on those would help out with maintenance for a couple more years. The CarShield rep answered all my questions professionally and made the deal sound like it was something that we should definitely take advantage of. I only had one claim put in and they fixed the problem. I just had one part that was denied at the time. I called to find out how the process works as I never did it before. The dealership would be the one to communicate with CarShield so I had to make sure that they had all the information and followed through.

    I lost a day or two waiting for the approval as I had to have somebody come out and look at the car. I finally got approved and then the dealership got the part. I was without a car for five days. CarShield was quick about the service once I called them. Having them is a good thing and it would give the cars more years of security of some major items that could go wrong.

    When I called CarShield, I negotiated the rate down to what I was already paying for my pre-existing warranty, so it only cost me around 3 grand. I also worked the downpayment and the monthly out to a good rate. They were very flexible and it worked out to my benefit. I have a GMC Terrain, so it's one of the newer vehicles that they've sort of made all-electric, and those components are very sensitive. If one thing happens, you have to replace everything, so it's really, really expensive. So, I'm glad I made the purchase with CarShield to extend the warranty out.

    Everybody has been friendly and nice. When I needed to purchase the battery, I used my CarShield warranty to tow my vehicle. The gentleman I spoke with when I got my vehicle towed was very nice and very helpful. He even offered to stay on the phone with me if I didn't feel safe. I told him I was in a safe location and I was fine. The tow truck person that came out was very nice and knowledgeable as well. He took a really good, thorough time with assessing my vehicle to see if he could solve the problem before he hooked it up to tow it. He was even helpful with the dealership guy. It was all a wonderful experience. I would recommend CarShield.

    My son is legally mentally disabled with Autism and Asperger's. He is able to drive and recently bought a used Blazer that is 17 yrs old. It's a junk vehicle only used for short trips since he doesn't go many places. He was so proud about getting his own vehicle that he thought CarSheild would be a good idea. They sold him a policy that he didn't need for almost $200 per month for a car that was only purchased for $1500.

    They were charging him more than what a monthly car payment would be on a 17yr old junker all over the phone. And they did it knowingly to a young man who is mentally disabled, it's not hard to tell over the phone either. You can ask him his name and it will take him minutes to respond, ask if he's hungry and wait minutes for a yes or no or even an I don't know. So there was no way he could have answered all the info for the policy or have agreed to all the legalities. This is type of company they are. They only care about taking your money, not about covering your vehicle.

    I spoke to another lady before and everything was good with CarShield except for I had to wait too long. First, they took 24 to 48 hours before somebody came out to agree with the dealer what was wrong with it. After they agreed with the dealer, it took another two to three days before the parts that my car needed were delivered. So it sat for four to five days before work even started. Before they would approve a rental, I had to pay for the first four days of rental myself because I had to wait for them to deliver. They should be liable for covering the rental fees for that amount of time, not just have a certain amount that they'll cover up. They also didn't inform me of how long it was gonna take for them before they could even start working on my car. I know I had to wait for them to deliver the part but they didn't give me a new part. They gave me a used part and that I wasn't too happy with. But it worked fine so I'm okay with it. Everything else was good.

    The coverages sold to me over the phone are not the same as the contract. They listed mileage wrong in the contract and denied a claim for a part that in the phone conversation said would be a covered part. They refuse to correct the issue so I got a 3600.00 worthless lil book.

    The lady from CarShield explained that my factory warranty would expire and I would need something. She told me that the longer I wait, the more expensive it would be so I decided to go. They sent me the forms for the packet and stuff then I started paying it. I paid it all off eventually. When I heard something on the undercarriage arm, I filed a claim for it to be replaced and I just finished doing it. I had it done in a Subaru and the quality of CarShield's service has been good so far.

    To maintain my vehicle, I felt comfortable with CarShield as a warranty provider. If any emergencies occurred, I would be covered. I had a great interaction with the rep and he was able to convince me to get the coverage. Any questions I had at that moment were answered. I filed a few claims but whoever was taking care of my case would never communicate with me. A few years back, my alternator went bad. They saw a leak from the seal of the head of the motor. I literally had to pay for the alternator and $500 had to come out of my pocket. I didn’t know about it and so my mechanic called me. If I paid CarShield for the coverage, it would be common courtesy to tell me the reason why something went bad and what they would cover as well as those that will come out of my pocket. I should be getting that information from them directly. That happened three times. Other than that, everything is perfect.

    I have a nice vehicle and I want to keep it running. My warranty from the dealer had just ran out and I got another one from CarShield. I bought it over the phone and their rep worked with my price range and made it happen. CarShield's reps have all been helpful and good about taking care of everything. I had to use the warranty and they took care of it. However, the claim filing process took a while. I called the claim in right away and took my car to the mechanic shop and it took about a week before they can even get an appraiser to show up. I was out of my vehicle for about a month.     I saw an ad that showed what CarShield had to offer. When I talked to them on the phone, they reassured me that that’s what it was, so I went with their deductible on my policy and everything has been working out great. Every time I've taken my truck to a service or when something happened to it, they've covered it, so I’m extremely happy with the service. It has been over a year now since I had CarShield and I wouldn’t turn anywhere else. I had several new cars and warranties, but they are definitely supportive when it comes to me having problems with my vehicle and they pay in a timely manner, too. The price of the warranty that they gave me is definitely efficient for me.

    Filing a claim for service with them was great. The representatives at CarShield are very supportive and understandable. I was in Atlanta, Georgia and my truck totally shut down. I called them first and they said that the only thing I had to do was go to a dealership and give them CarShield's number, and they would communicate with them. I went to the dealership and I told them the CarShield number. The dealership contacted them and communicated with them. Then, the dealership communicated with me and told me that the claim was filed and that they were gonna bring out the inspector to inspect the problems. They came right out a day later and everything went great. It was my first time filing a claim and, being on the road with my family, it was a good experience for me.

    I took my 06 Dodge Durango to the dealership because of check engine light. To make a long story short Car Shield did not want to help with repairs because of how it broke down, also I did not have this vehicle a year & now have to abandon it because of this action.     The representative answered all the questions I had and went through all different kinds of things. There wasn't any hesitation as well. The level of knowledge and expertise of the rep was awesome. Everything was fine with CarShield. When my car wasn’t starting, I called them and they said I could take it to a mechanic or dealership.     CarShield was the first company that came across the TV screen and I thought I gotta do something. The rep who helped me purchase the warranty was excellent and he told me everything I needed to know. Plus, when I had to file a claim, the customer service rep did it himself. The experience with CarShield was good but they should have used a Nissan transmission on the car. When it went out, Nissan would not have anything to do with it. If they used a Nissan transmission and it went bad and it went out in less than 30 days, Nissan would’ve covered my transmission with no problem and CarShield wouldn’t have anything to do with it. My car has been in the shop twice. CarShield didn’t want to pay for the transmission again and gave me the runaround which I didn’t like.

    I have a new vehicle and I like to keep up on the maintenance like a crazy person. The people I talked to on the phone from CarShield were nice and their rep asked me all the questions that he was supposed to ask like what were my concerns about buying a new car. We got everything done efficiently. He was also very knowledgeable and he answered all the questions I had for him to the best of his knowledge. It didn't seem like he was making anything up.

    Other than that, when I made a payment over the phone, the customer service reps helped me set up the automatic pay so that I don’t have to keep calling them every month. And as far as filing a claim, I already did that twice and both were successful. I took my vehicle to the dealer and the dealer did all the work. They called the warranty place, got the approval, and the dealer called me back. All I had to do was send them a copy of the invoice. And when I filed a claim for an AC compressor, the service was awesome. All in all, I feel more secure knowing that if something catastrophic happens with the car or with its computer system, as long as I keep up with my payments and I’m doing things on my end, CarShield will cover everything, which is great.

    I bought a policy a couple of months ago on one of my vehicles and they didn't say anything about you have to go 1000 plus your 30 days when I bought the policy and now the vehicle is in the shop needing a new transmission and CarShield is fighting to pay for it. You need to make sure you tell everything about the policy because I bought a warranty to fix my vehicle when it breaks not have to go 1000 miles and if anything happens before then.

I tried to call and get an approval for a fix but couldn't get in touch with anyone since it was a weekend. The emergency fix only covered up to $250. Alternator and install was over $400. The real issues is on Monday when I was able to take it to a shop, the shop called CarShield and tried to make a claim. I was then notified my car has a salvage title and they wouldn't fix anything on the car. Issue is, this car is perfect and doesn't have a salvage title. They only talked to the mechanic who doesn't know. They canceled my plan and only refunded $195 after I have paid them thousands.

    The mechanic actually asked this question. "So you knew it had a salvage title (which it doesn't) and you were going to let my customer keep paying you with absolutely no intent on paying out when a claim is made?" He was told, "Yep. What could we do." So, not only were they never going to pay a claim, but if they thought my car had a salvage title, then why would they ever agree to cover my car? Why didn't they check it before? It has a clean title but no one ever asked to see a copy of it or anything. Just took my money and canceled the plan when I tried to use it. I am feeling like a lawsuit is in order.     I would never recommend this warranty company to anyone. They try to underpay their customers. They're very rude and untruthful at United Car Care. I recommend that you don't take out a warranty with them. I have went through a lot with this warranty company. I'm still fighting with them for my money. They don't tell you that if you're in New York you pay sale tax on repairs. They try to put used parts in your car. This has been the worst company I ever dealt with.     Today we are traveling from TN to FL to take care of a friend's house and pets while she goes on vacation. My KIA Sorento stops working in GA. We had it towed to a KIA dealership. The mechanic checked the car and said the oil looked good and was full. He called CarShield to start a claim. The man he talked to said that we had to provide receipts for oil changes. Why do we have to do that? How are we suppose to do this? We are not home, we are on vacation! So we had to rent a car to get to FL. In the meantime my car is sitting in GA and I don't know how it's going to get fixed!

    We bought this insurance coverage if something happened like this while we were traveling. We expected to file a claim and not be put through the wringer!     The AC fan motor went out on our BMW. Car Shield covered an aftermarket part, but not the relay switch, which is like a fuse that prevents the Compressor from running and causing more damage to the AC unit. Trying to get the person on the phone to understand that it’s part of the AC unit that allows it to run was like pulling teeth. He just didn’t get it. I hated to call Car Shield every time that the auto shop talked to them. It’s was like they didn’t trust the auto shop. Never got the same person who you began to deal with. It was hard trying to contact the same person, no work could be started on your vehicle until you recontacted Car Shield people several times EVEN after you approved the work to be done. Cancelled my Contract... was not happy with Car Shield Service.

    I got a contract from CarShield for my 2011 Mustang that I bought in 2015. I got it through the dealer. It costed me $109 a month and I kept paying it religiously. All of a sudden they weren’t taking payment out anymore so I thought the contract had lapsed. I found out a couple of years later that the premium had been paid and my warranty is still in effect and that made me happy. I have a power seat in the Mustang and the motor had gone out. I took it into the dealer and said, “Well, I’ll call CarShield and see what they’ll do”. CarShield covered it completely except the deductible.

    I bought a new F150 two years ago and I got a contract through CarShield too. There were two issues with the pickup. One had to do with the differential and the other had to do with one of the turbos on the engine. I took it in to a local Ford dealer and they said, “Okay, we’ll get a hold of CarShield and give them call.” CarShield covered the issue with the differential readily and paid very well. The problem with the turbo was I had a leaky line and they wouldn't cover it because they don’t cover hoses and lines. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t cover it. I didn’t get irate and I just have to save money and get it fixed myself. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with CarShield.

    I had the service when I owned a 09 F150. Tried filling a few claims for the vehicle and getting things covered. It never worked out so I just let it fade into the wind because it was a lesson learned. So fast forward to today, over the past two years I've been getting more and more insistent calls from them and today I thought I'd give them a listen. First of all that should be considered harassment because I know I told them in the past I was not interested. So they did leave it alone for some time but today I get on the phone with this lady who proceeds to tell me the cost and everything and I say, "No thank you," for now, I need to do research because I had issues with them in the past. Then she starts going over all they cover and whatnot, which from the actual customer's reviews have used the service and because of my own issues I had with them in the past I can tell you they will try everything in their power not to cover something.

    And this routine maintenance tactic can only go so far. Yes pads, oil, fluids, plugs, and certain other things are considered routine maintenance but when a seat a/c component or some other bit goes out they will not help you. Plus why would you even want to use them because 90% of your money will be on routine maintenance items and as long as you stay on top of them you will have only very little repair? Anyways I tell her it's more cost effective for me to just do it myself since they want to be picky about their coverage options. She keeps repeating "not with all the computers in there" so I told her to do some more research and hung up. Moral of the story save your money, don't give them the time of day or they will argue with you. You can probably buy whatever it is you need for much cheaper and an auto repair manual will save you a ton of money, plus if you make friends with a local repair shop you'll save even more.

    The warranty that came with the vehicle was expiring and they wanted more money for it. I ended up buying the warranty for more coverage or a better rate. CarShield contacted me about it and I said okay. The guy that contacted me was nice and he was really good about it. When I filed the claim, I called the 800 number in my contract and they said it was covered 100%. All I had to do was take the vehicle to the dealership, then they would call that number and it will go from there. It was all it was. I was out of a car for a month and I told the owner of the dealership that I needed a vehicle rental for more than four hours. I told the guy I didn’t want a car and next thing I knew, he got me a nice one and he told me to stop by their shop. The dealership gave me a brand new truck to drive.     CarShield seemed legit and the price was reasonable. Although the warranty we had in the past had more coverage, we still got less coverage with CarShield because we have a lot of electronic components. We wanted coverage for big mechanical issues. My husband used to be a service rider, so he knew about the plan that we wanted to get on. The overall application process was detailed and I was very satisfied with the reps that helped us pick the plan.

    One time, we didn't have a car AC, so we called CarShield. They gave me a dealer and I took it to them. The dealer had to call CarShield to get authorized and had to send someone there, a third party to verify the claim. Thereafter dealership got my car fixed. Though we were without a car for two weeks, the dealership gave us a loaner.

    Meanwhile, we have another issue and I’m still going through the process with that because the part is on backorder. CarShield needs to consider because it’s not part of the coverage. They only cover for the amount of time the car they worked on and a part that’s on back order is not covered. Also, CarShield should give a number that people don’t have to phone tag with. They also have to be better with the follow-up and the coverage for backorder parts. Nevertheless, I have recommended them to people.

    I drive a Mercedes that has so many miles on it and it would cost a fortune to fix it if something goes wrong. Getting an extended warranty is easier as you pay a little at a time because you're paying for it anyway. It's just basically a credit line to fix your car. And if nothing goes wrong with your car, you just paid for something that you didn't use which wouldn't be a big deal if you were prepared for it.

    I heard good things about CarShield. The person who sold me the policy was thorough and the buying process went smoothly. And so far, it's been fine with them. They didn't give me any problems when I needed a fix. When I filed a claim for my air conditioning, it went great. Then when I had to change the date on my payments, I talked to their customer service reps and they changed it without any problems. But, I just like a little more coverage. I have heard a few other things about CarShield where I almost wanna stop and switch to another company because I'm paying $5,000 and the coverage is not bumper-to-bumper. If my suspension goes, it is gonna cost me $4,000. I've looked at some other places, and for the same price, I can get everything that CarShield is giving me and my suspension. So, it's kinda shooting me in that direction a little bit.

    When I bought my car from a dealership, they tried to sell me an extended warranty. I called CarShield and one of the things they talked about was peace of mind. Also, their price was better than the dealership. But when I had to use them, they were not as easy going for that peace of mind. My Jeep Grand Cherokee's check engine light came on. My mechanic gave me information on what the problem was then I found out that there was a problem with the engine in the Jeep. The claims examiner from CarShield spoke to my mechanic and when I spoke with CarShield, the person was arrogant and made it very difficult. They told my mechanic that if they go ahead and take apart the engine as they need to see it apart to find out if it is covered, it opens up the bag alarms. Furthermore, if it was not covered, I already put out the money to my mechanic because nothing was covered there.

    I had to tell them that I don’t care whether it was covered or not and I want my engine taken apart to know the problem and CarShield will be held responsible. At that point, I was to take them to small claims court if they didn’t cover it. I took the car away from my mechanic who was very qualified and I took it directly over to Jeep and had Jeep deal with CarShield. They covered it only at that point and everything was taken care of. When I spoke to Jeep, they gave me information and told me that they will take care of the car and the other parts should be taken through my extended warranty company. I was without a vehicle for almost four weeks and I had to rent a car at the cost of $1650. I was not happy with CarShield's service.

    Now, CarShield only covers a few bucks for a few days. I’m paying and staying with CarShield because I already paid for X amount of dollars for 16 months. My problem was taken care of in the end but I was not happy with what I went through. I was not happy with Jeep either because I’m still out $1650 for the car rental. CarShield paid for $1000 for the car repair and Jeep said that whatever the problem was, nothing was gonna be out of my pocket except the $100 deductible which I paid. I go by the commercial, "peace of mind", and I didn’t have it.

    I purchased a warranty from CarShield. I was told on the phone by the rep that suspension parts were covered. Little did I know that when I brought my car into the shop for an axle to be fixed, they said it was not covered. I spent about 500 on it. I called and told them to cancel my account and I would potentially consider filing a lawsuit for the repairs plus the down and monthly payments. They told me they would review the call and get back to me within 48 hours with an answer. A WEEK went by. No word from them. I called back in and asked what was going on. A rep told me he was very sorry and he that he just lit a fire under the call review department. He said he would personally call me back later that day or tomorrow. He assured me that he was a man of ethics and he doesn't like people being taken advantage of. He never called back.

    Three days later I called back and asked what was going on with the call review. They said it had not been done yet and they would just cancel my account and give me my money back. They did give me my down payment back and monthly payment. However, this company is shameful in their dealings of customers looking for a service they need. Refunding me the money doesn't make up for the lost time or even the 500 I spent repairing my car. I am still considering a lawsuit considering my experience is very common amongst other complaints. Lastly, I am still shocked that they couldn't even honor calling back when they said they would or to at least let me know what the call review status was (I still don't know). I will never deal with this company again and would never recommend them to anyone. The disrespect and callousness is unreal considering the effect this had on my budget and my stress level.

    I've had CarShield for over eight years. It was 2003 when I had my Avalanche. When I sold and traded it in, I canceled the warranty for it and then I got a truck. The truck's dealership only gave me a small warranty period. So when that ran out, I went back to CarShield.     CarShield's term and mileage were good. I was happy with the plan. However, before I filed a claim I had to call CarShield because the mechanic told me that my plan was expired. He had given them the VIN number instead of policy number so they were going under the original factory warranty instead of the extended warranty. We checked my details and I had stored my information and verified that I had a 100,000 mile plan and it was still good for another year. I was at 83 at that time and I said, “No, it’s not expired.” So I had to contact CarShield myself to verify that everything was good and what was going on. They told me, “Let’s tell the guy to let him call back and get it all cleared up.” It all cleared up eventually and everything turned out fine. Other than that mix up with the communication between the dealership and them, everything was very good.

    The cost is a little high but I’m getting the value of it. That last claim was for $1500. I actually would have used more if I had remembered it earlier because I’ve had some other repairs where I didn’t claim it because I didn’t think about it until after the fact. I’m very satisfied with the service I’ve been getting and the coverage that it provides.

    I have never bought a used car before. I always bought new ones, so I was advised by several folks that I respect to consider getting an extra warranty on my used car. I found CarShield and I decided to get one from them. Purchasing the warranty was all pretty easy and they gave me great customer service in the beginning to get the warranty going. I also got the literature, so that I had references at home.

    But the hands of the original representative that you work with when you have a claim are tired. They don’t have any power to authorize a claim and they're just information gatherers trying to get your experience and what’s happening with your car. So, I read my handbook, made sure that my payments were on time and that everything was done thoroughly. Then, when I presented my claim in front of them, they denied me and the first reason was because of mileage. I told them that that was weird because from what the handbook said, they should be honoring my claim. Apparently, the first representative that set me up with the warranty took down a wrong number for mileage.

    So, we cleared up the mileage. Then, they tried to deny me again based on the fact that I had driven on a car with a leaking transmission for so long that it has become a problem. But that was not the case at all. Three garages said there was no leak in the transmission and what they saw was a little bit of oil residue. But CarShield didn’t take any samples, so they assumed the oil residue was transmission fluid and they denied me again.

    I had the garage write a written statement and I had other information from other garages, so I fought it. I wrote to CarShield through the link that was on the Better Business Bureau in a very detailed personal letter of why I purchased the warranty, what was their obligation to me as a covered person, that their denial of my claim was absolutely absurd, and that this should not be something that was denied. So, after fighting with them a little bit, writing back and forth, and talking to managers, they finally paid the claim. Still, it felt like that was their mission to deny everything. If I would not have had the writing skills and consumer rights information under my belt, I don’t think they would have paid it and that any other person would have just been denied.

    Right now, they’re trying to tell me that they’re going to change the original mileage of 92,000 to 95,000 and I don’t know what that’s about because all of this has been done and taken care of. Changing the mileage would increase the warranty timing and I don’t know why they’re doing it. I couldn’t get an answer, so I’m kinda curious. So far, I have a representative trying to get the information and he said he would give me a call.

    Also, a manager called me three times and when I called back the number that they called from. I even registered it in my phone, it was not a working number. So, their manager calls from a number where you can’t get a hold of them and you have to go through an 800 number to get a hold of the rep and the managers. That made me think that they're a shady company. I was also thinking about canceling my warranty, but since they upheld their position as a warranty company and paid my claim, I’m gonna uphold my position and continue the service with them.

    I looked into a different company and they wouldn't even answer the phone. CarShield at least responded and the people were helpful and competent. They answered my calls, talked about the warranty and what I needed to do, and followed up. CarShield has good customer service and they cover the repair of certain parts of my car. They don’t ever cover 100% of the parts for a Mercedes but they cover at least 50% of the costs and their service was of better quality.

    I'm an ASE certified technician of 28 years and just needed a plan to cover engine and transmission in my 07 F150 5.4l. I do all my other work like complete A/C work, intake gaskets, starters, water pump, and anything that surrounds the engine. Also I will do my own computer diagnostic and will perform my own repairs also. I can do my engine and transmission replacement but I'm too busy doing everybody else's. So I saw an infomercial about it and decided I would give it a try. Now I haven't had a claim yet but they were friendly but a little pushy. But I'm hoping their coverage is true and I'm not the person that can be fooled but for the monthly price they gave me which was discounted greatly because of my skill I decided to give it a shot. But remember when you get a quote these people are salesmen and get paid to sell you the highest package. So do some research and decide what you really need for coverage...

    I called in about CarShield and was told the entire AC system including the front end would be covered under the warranty, unfortunately there was quite a bit of misrepresentation on the part of the sales rep. At no time did he say there would be parts of the front end or AC not be covered. He said it covers the entire AC and all parts on the car excluding brakes. I was suckered. I took the car to a Ford Dealership to see if I could get the AC fixed, the compressor was working but blowing hot air.

    Found that there were 4 separate repairs the car needed, and NOT ONE of the parts or service would be covered. I am very skeptical of the Ford dealership as well but also will never do business with CarShield again simply because the price of the actuator not covered is the same price of the compressor motor if that had gone out of service. I called the company and all the parts listed under the claim were excluded with no explanation of why. I have since cancelled my membership and still stinging for 200.

    I received a letter regarding Vehicle Protection (Extended Warranty) and opted to call this company for more specifics. The person with whom I spoke, for the most part, was friendly and courteous. The call began with her asking for the year/make/model of my car. I told her that was actually what I was calling about... If a letter arrived, advising me that I have "not contacted them about having my vehicle service contract activated", then they should have records on file to tell ME that information. She then talked of the massive amounts of people they work with daily, so I offered to give them my "Customer ID Number" so she could pull up my specific information, but she still said she wouldn't be able to find the information THEY wrote ME about!

    I've received many 3rd party letters such as these, but ALL refer to either my CURRENT vehicle, or one I've had within the past 7 years (now I KNOW those were bogus companies... WHY write me about a car I'd given up years ago), but they at least referred to SOMETHING! Truthfully, I'm tired of these types of letters - period! I'd reach out to someone for an extended warranty should I feel the need for one; however, it so happens that since 2011, I've LEASED my vehicles and have NOT purchased any of them after that particular lease was completed.

    I'm not saying that I wouldn't potentially consider working with CarShield, but it does bother me that they have assigned me a supposed "Customer ID Number" and yet, cannot refer to any information about it, nor did they refer to a specific vehicle of mine they're supposedly contacting me about! IF I ever am in a situation whereby I'd need to activate an extended warranty, I will do a LOT of "homework" before choosing ANY 3rd party company! I've read a lot of wonderful reviews about CarShield, but I also saw a bunch of negative ones as well. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone else who is checking into this (or any other) 3rd party company.

The repair facility only wants to have credit card payments paid to them via the warranty services which I was explained is how you do it. We will see how the claim process goes as my son is going to leave his car at the facility in morning on Friday.

    I was always told that non-manufacturer warranties were basically worthless when you go to file a claim, and now I know why. After two years of payments and zero claims, I was denied on my first claim. I have owned a Range Rover in the past, and I was aware that the air suspension system on the vehicles was a common occurring problem. It is exactly because of that, I specifically asked the salesperson on the phone, "would my policy cover the air suspension on the Range Rover" and I was told yes. I believe the salesperson's name was Douglas **. I requested that the company pull the taped sales phone conversation, and call me back... which they failed to do.

    Now over a month later I just called them and was informed that they did listen to the taped conversation, denied that the representative said it was covered, and told me that I could not listen to it unless requested by an attorney with a court order. What do they have to hide? MARK LEVIN are you listening to this? I cannot wait to call into your national radio program and let you and the rest of the country know what a "SHAM" this company. Also, they love to talk about your ability to take your vehicle to the manufacturer dealership, and be guaranteed that they will use OEM parts... TOTAL B.S. Before the claim was denied they were already telling my dealership that if it was covered they would not pay for OEM parts but remanufactured parts only. SAVE YOUR MONEY and pay when you need repair.

    I took my vehicle to my local Toyota repair shop. I gave them my CarShield warranty information so that they can get it approved. Apparently my repair was denied because the parts were $500 more than they wanted to pay. American CarShield wanted to send Toyota an A/C compressor and clutch that costs under $300. I called all the auto parts stores in my area and all were $460-$600 range. I assume the parts American CarShield wanted to send are used or very poor quality. They (CarShield) want me to pick my vehicle up at Toyota and take it to a different shop. I have to go through the whole approval process again.

    Both CarShield and American CarShield have been pushing me off on several different departments. I even had a carShield operator give me the number to after hours customer service that doesn't exist. When I first purchased the warranty I was told that I could take my vehicle to the repair shop of my choice even the dealer. What they don't tell you is that you have to find a shop that meets their pricing standards.

    Many commenters do not seem to understand the role of CarShield (CS). CS is an agency whose purpose is to pair a person up with an extended warranty contractor that best suits the buyers' needs, based on car age/mileage, and what they can afford. In that capacity, CS is a benevolent, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented company. CS does not pay for the repair of a car but should an agency fall shot of CS's standards, they will go to bat for you against the agency. They offer a service and do so very well. I can certainly commend the salesmen, I dealt with for honesty, candor, eloquence, compassion and understanding. In particular, I will mention both Bryce and his account manager Kirk who were impressive young men who are impressive intermediaries.

    Customer Service is a highly stressful department for a human. I have never conversed with a more amiable, and service oriented rep than Georgette **.     After reading the contract offered to me, I decided it did not fit my needs and expectations. I determined this by reading the "specimen" contract offered by the agency, calling the telephone numbers listed in the contract, and taking notes of issues that bothered me. I was lucky enough to get Jennifer on my first call who encouraged the investigation, then Georgette on my second call who painlessly listened to what I had discovered and initiated a refund of my down payment to my credit card. She gave me a time frame for the refund of 5 business days and I fully expect it to happen just that way.

    These are good people trying to offer a benevolent service to peoples strapped for money, but don't blame them because you fail to perform due diligence and investigate what you have been told. With that, I thank CarShield for their novel entrepreneurship and assure them that, should I purchase a repair contract, it will be from them. There is none more candid and forthright in their dealing with customers.

    After hearing the ad on the radio I thought CarShield would be a good idea to have so I purchased a policy with them a few years ago for my Chevy Impala. My car met all the requirements. About 8 months after I purchase the policy I felt my transmission starting to slip. I took it to my local shop as I was instructed and waited for the adjuster to arrive. They showed up about a week later after I was done without my car the whole time. The shop gave the adjuster the keys and he left with my car for about 2 hours.

    When they returned with my vehicle they didn't even acknowledge to the shop that they were back and they parked my car and one on their way. One day returned with my vehicle. They didn't even acknowledge to the shop that back at the park my vehicle and went on their way. Later pictures stating that I had a old leak in a transmission line. They were starting to make it slip. CarShield refuse to cover you blaming it on 100,000 mile inspection I received 6 months prior. The shop owners assured me there was no leak before their adjuster took my car off of their lot.

I really do not know what could have happened, but what hurts me the most is that I did not cover the repair or replacement of my engine. I take 12 days without a car asking for it. They are taking me to work to not make you spending a rental car to CarShield and waiting for a good answer from them, for now at the end to say that could not cover the repair because the engine that damaged the engine is not part of the coverage and cannot do anything. That great disappointment with that extended warranty security is the worst, should remove the commercial on the tv and do not deceive more people like I who confident in the coverage service.

    (Peace of mind.) It is just a false to trap to you pay the coverage, since I started with my claim I only had headaches and recovery by the workshop and the adjusters. Recently I made a demand for breach of contract and when I call to inform them, they tell me that no claim number appears and the day before another lady had reaffirmed it, which was the same number from 6 months ago.     When I purchased my vehicle (almost 2 years ago) I also purchased an extended warranty. I haven't needed it in the last 2 years, thankfully. Recently I started getting these letters in the mail ''personal & confidential, Open immediately". Well this morning, on my way to work, I opened the latest personal & confidential letter as it said ''open immediately''. The letter stated it was time to renew my extended warranty. Now, given that it was 2 years ago when I purchased my initial extended warranty, I had no reason to believe this letter was the crock of crap that it turned out to be. I called the number listed on the letter, I spoke to the first rep, who ended up passing me off to another rep who kept telling me that my prior extended warranty had expired and I needed to add this one. (I kept telling him I purchased this service at the dealership.)

    Something that didn't sit right with me was the rep couldn't (or wouldn't) directly confirm that this was the same company that I originally purchased my extended warranty through. Keep in mind, I was driving to work while talking to them (therefore, couldn't dig through old files to confirm this was the same company I'd purchased my coverage from). Now given they (CarShield) sent me this letter and said things that led me to (or tried really hard to) believe that this was the company I already had my coverage with I finally gave in and paid the "down payment" because I am a single woman and do quite a bit of driving & am aware that anything can happen at any moment. They assured me that everything would be covered, like A/C, engine, trans, etc... I was shocked at their claim of everything being covered so I mentioned having my alternator replaced about a month ago.

    The first rep said "it would have been covered''. I mentioned that I didn't realize that because I didn't think an extended warranty covered alternators. She proceeded to ask how much I spent, I told her. She said I should have called because it would have been covered... (further trying to make me think they (CarShield) was my company). Something just didn't feel quite right so I decided to do some digging (unfortunately, AFTER I paid the $195 down payment). First of all, this is NOT who I have my extended warranty through!!! The rep on the phone should have avoided making the following statement before hanging up "If someone else calls you, tell them you already have coverage and hang up". This was in response to the last time I mentioned my prior purchased coverage.

    Again I mentioned several times, I'd purchased an extended warranty when I purchased my vehicle. So this jerk listened to me tell them several times, I had already purchased an extended warranty and led me to believe it was through them but time had expired and it was renew time. I went straight to their reviews and must say that I am shocked that this company still has a business license and more disappointed in myself for falling for their trick and deception! Reading previous complaints about customers having such a hard time getting their $ returned, I hope that won't be the case for me but I will strongly advise against this company. Their employees do talk to you very condescending. I am interested to see how my refund process will go with this company given the many negative reviews I've read.

    I would LOVE to be contacted by a reputable manager from this company with some sort of justification for this rather than see the lame excuse provided on the prior 1 star reviews. That is the worst customer service EVER! When you think corny ROMCOM movies that have some used car salesman bit, this company is what you should picture... Terrible way to do business. If someone tells you they have the service you are trying to push on them, don't say things to make them believe they purchased from you and give false idea. I HOPE all calls are recorded because I'd LOVE to have mine played before a judge!

    I purchased CarShield 1 year ago. I had 99650 miles on my vehicle. All they asked me at purchase, was if anything was wrong with my 2008 Hummer H3, and there wasn't. I am a 100% Vietnam Disabled Veteran that uses a mobility scooter with a lift on the back of my vehicle. I made an appointment to do the 100,000 mile service but my H3's transmission started slipping before my appointment so I had it towed in. Mileage was 108500 miles on the H3. I had everything checked with an oil change and all fluids were ok and full 2 mos prior.

    The adjusters did not want to cover my tranny saying I didn't have the 100000 mile service. Ashley, Mgr of the adjusters was rude and cold to the situation. CarShield said they could do nothing because all they do is sell the coverage. I cost me over $5,000 for the repair. GM said they would have honored the warranty even though I was 8500 miles over the service if I was still in warranty with them. I sent all service receipts to them. CARSHIELD IS A SCAM!!!

    I called Carshield after seeing them on the TV. I requested a quote and sure enough they called me 5 or 6 times after I submitted my information online. I spoke to a call center agent and he gave me a couple of options and I told him that I simply wanted to think about it. So, then he had me speak to the account manager and the account manager was very pushy and aggressive and wanted me to sign up over the phone. I told him that all I wanted was to gather information and then make an informed decision at a later date.

    I asked him to send me information through email or written correspondence and that I would take a look at it and go from there. He also asked me what credit card I would like to use today and I responded that I am not giving out my credit card because I am NOT signing up for anything. These people are extremely rude and aggressive. I had to hang up on him just to get him to shut up. I would not recommend this shady company to anyone!

    When I bought the car, I only knew of the dealership warranty. Then I received a phone call two months before I purchased stating that the extended warranty has expired. I kept getting phone calls soliciting me to buy one so I researched and found CarShield and I'm quite pleased with the service. The customer service rep helped me in trying to figure out what’s covered under my policy and how it breaks down. And then, the representative who took my claim walked me through the process and filled me in with all the information that I needed that they could possibly provide for me and I was satisfied with that.

    I filed a claim a little less than a month ago because my transmission was flipping and then it went. I took the car to the shop and it got fixed and the car is driving as new as possible. The claim rep also mentioned that I had a rental under my claim policy and I rented a car. He asked me to send them the bill but I forgot. But the point is, there are no worries and even though the car was in the shop for four days, I didn’t mind that at all. I am grateful that CarShield was able to help me get my vehicle back on the road and get me back to work. It's very important to have an extended warranty because you never know and I've recommended CarShield to several friends.     I purchased a CarShield warranty because I had invested more than $5000 in repairs for my 2010 BMW 335d in less than 11 months. I made it clear to the representatives that I wanted everything possible to be covered. After having my warranty for nearly 3 months I began to get an annoying oil burning smell from my vehicle and my A/C went out. I took my car to the BMW dealership and they informed CarShield of the needed repairs (oil leak on intake manifold, blower motor needed replacing and turbo hose had a hole in it) before the day was over but for some reason it took CarShield more than 4 more business days, 6 days total, to reach out and inform me that they would not cover replacing the manifold. It then took them another 7 days to tell me they would cover the blower motor fix but not with genuine BMW parts and wouldn't pay for BMW certified labor, and they would not pay to replace the turbo hose.

    I was informed that in order to have the blower motor replaced I would have to pay the $100 deductible, $200 for the difference between the Autozone blower they are willing to pay for and $140 for the difference in certified labor. The total cost of the covered repairs would've been $597 and I would've had to pay about $450 of that. Everyone that I encountered at CarShield was rude and completely uncaring about my situation up until I was ready to cancel my membership. Best to not pay them $200 a month and save it myself for future repairs.

    When I first signed up with CarShield I informed them about the reviews I read but silly me I still try giving them a chance. I explained to CarShield representative that my mileage on my car wasn’t in mileage and it was in KM and I only went by the estimated mileage on my dashboard from my oil change. I also told the customer service representative that I was not 100% sure what the mileage was when I signed up. I never received a contract in the mail and I called several time and asked can they emailed me a copy and I never received it, I had to called twice this week after a month when I finally received the contract through email. I went to my mom house and my car wouldn’t turn over, called them. They told me to call roadside assistance, and so I did.

    I gave them my contract number and they couldn’t find my contract and told me I would have to pay and get reimbursed and I said no and called CarShield again. This was Tuesday. I didn’t get assistance til yesterday (Thursday). My car ended At Pep Boys. They said there’s a knocking and before I made them go any further I told them to call CarShield and tell them, what the issue was. They thought my car was in mileage and told me it was 187,000+. I told them my car isn’t in mileage but in KM. They estimate the mileage to be less than the 117+. What originally was on my dash board. Because the mileage on my car was calculated wrong from the previous mechanic CarShield doesn’t want to honor the contract anymore. And believe me I wasn’t surprised because I read all the reviews but I wanted to give them a chance and I wanted to be the 1% that gives them positive review.

    But unfortunately what they did was prove everything that was written on every negative review to be right. Let’s also add they really have poor customer service. When signed up they were nice but once there’s an issue and they have to pay, you get the nastiest attitude. The last customer service argued over 10 min after I asked to speak to a supervisor because they wanted me to send in a Mail in a cancellation letter for me to get a refund because it's over 30 days. She stated that was in the contract that I didn’t received until Tuesday of this week. When she FINALLY gave me the supervisor he was nice enough to give me the email address after I explained the above. But I would suggest not to sign up with CarShield because they would find ways on not paying for the car to be fixed.

    Save your money and don’t waste your time because it’s a headache to get your money back and right at this moment I have to pay Pep Boys out of pocket and I won’t be seeing my money anytime soon. Car-Shield please don’t even respond to this comment, because I will not be contacting you guys again and I really don’t have any interest in what you guys have to say unless you guys actually going to honor your contract but because I know better and that’s just not going to happen. I think everyone here should file a class action lawsuit against CarShield for breach of contract and false advertisement.

    I’ve had good experiences with CarShield. I had AutoAssure before and they didn’t cover things that CarShield covered, but yet I was spending the same amount of money. It prompted me to get with CarShield then. They are a lot better. I had called in and CarShield's representatives explained everything to me. They even matched the price of AutoAssure. And they told me when I would be able to file a claim if I had something that happened. Also, they told me that I had 30 days to figure out if I did or did not want the plan and if I wanted to upgrade. They were pretty nice. I call in to do my payments as well because it’s cheaper that way. I also like that they told me not to pay it off, if I wanted to, in one lumpsum payment. I’ll be calling in today so I can make my payment, and I like that they’re quick. I give you my credit card number, and it’s done. So, I appreciate that. With AutoAssure, it took so long to have to do so much.

A guy from CarShield called me and the price is right for the amount of extra coverage and the quality of coverage that I was getting. It was basic coverage and most things that could happen mechanically on the car. The guy knew what he was selling and he gave me the rundown. I had to squeeze a couple of extra years, and I made him put more mileage. We finally negotiated on a little bit higher mileage and year coverage. So, he was willing to work with me a little bit based on my needs.

    I had to use the warranty not too long ago and filing the claim was a fairly painless process. There was an interaction between the mechanic and CarShield, and although they didn’t cover one of the belts that was damaged with the claim, it was an $80 part. It would’ve been nice for them to cover it, but they covered about $1400 worth of damages. So, that, in exchange for $100 deductible, worked out my favor.

    I didn’t have a warranty on my car and I planned on keeping it a while and wanted to make sure I had a protection. I called CarShield, they gave me a price, I said, “Okay.” I had work done on my car a couple of weeks ago. I called in, talked to customer service and told them the car broke down and I need to get it towed in. They said, “Okay. Someone will be with you in an hour or so.” I had a couple of different tow companies that did call me back and said, “Hey, we’re not gonna tow for those guys.” So, I kept calling and on the third time they got it right.     I had a service contract on our car when I first bought it. The previous warranty company I was with only covered up to a certain amount of miles so I went shopping for a different company and I found CarShield. CarShield had the most reviews over any of the other companies. It was just that as far as what it covers, CarShield covers less than what I had in the previous company. Other than that, my experience with them had been fine and they seemed to be easy to work with. The warranty was more expensive than I thought it should be. But customer service remedied that when I called back to pay the account in full instead of doing a monthly payment. They lowered the price to give me a discount so it came down to where I thought it should be.

    Filing a claim was very simple. I just took the car to the dealership and they handled the rest. It was great and that was what I wanted. Everything was fine just as I had expected. I already have told a couple of people that I was happy with my plan with CarShield and I recommend it. We take a lot of family vacations and it feels good to have a protection plan knowing that when something major happens, I am mostly covered.

    I spoke to them to get a quote for coverage for my car. These people are a fraud. They say they will cover cars under 20 years old and under 275,000 miles. My car is 15 years old and 203,000 miles. They told me they would offer me a discount plan and not a warranty coverage plan that I am asking for. I am good on this, False advertisement at its best. I will be contacting a class action lawyer to look into this. Please remove me from your calling list and email list. Do not contact me anymore.

    Most of the factory warranty on my vehicle had run out and despite its age, I could still get coverage on it so I got a service warranty. I got calls from a couple of different places but I’m glad I got the extended warranty from CarShield. It only took a month for that coverage to kick in and I've only had to use it once. I called the number, spoke with the people at the dealership and everything was taken care of promptly. I brought the car into the dealership because I was hearing a noise and the low tire sensor was going off. It turned out I had a flat tire and they explained to me what was going on with the rear end of the truck. I had a problem with the bearings in the rear axle. That was no longer covered under the factory warranty and I told them I have an extended warranty.

    I gave the paperwork to a lady, she made a couple of calls and got back to me. That was on a Friday and I brought my truck in on Monday. They had somebody from the warranty company come and look at it and I had my truck back the following Friday. All it cost me was a $100 surcharge and the bill was over $1,600. I didn't have $1,600 lying around so the warranty was very valuable. I was very happy and I had a good experience. CarShield is definitely worth it.

    CarShield called me shortly after my service contract run out. I liked their service plan because I got 100,000 miles and it seemed like it covered a lot of stuff, so I signed up with them. Their sales reps were very cordial and they laid out the payment plan options, the cost of it, and the life of the service. They were also pretty responsive in sending me information and confirming everything when I decided to get it.

    Last month, I submitted a claim with CarShield. Their reps spoke directly with my mechanic and he said it was easy to get the information on what was covered and what wasn’t covered under the warranty with the repairs that I was getting. He only needed to spend a few minutes on the phone with them to get that, so their interaction went nicely and quickly. I had to pay additional fees because a couple of things weren’t covered under the service plan, like some of the brake stuff I got done, but as far as the main issue that was wrong with my car, which had to do with the transmission, all of that was covered. The warranty also required the mechanic to do a little extra preventative maintenance on that part, so that was pretty good. I wish more things were covered but what's covered now is enough. I see the value on having the warranty and I'm happy with my experience with CarShield.

He said I could pay the whole thing or make payments but I told him that I couldn't afford to give everything so I preferred to make payments and he said that was fine. He understood and I was happy with it.

    I have filed claims with CarShield and they did a great job. It was very easy to file a claim and it was comfortable knowing that I didn’t have to do anything. They took care of everything and it was nice. I gave them my book that has everything in there and they handled it so I'm pleased with them. I dropped my car off and the inspector had to go there to make sure everything was okay. My car was fixed and then he had to order parts for it. I could have gotten a car from CarShield at that time, but my son took me wherever I wanted to go. But next time, I will get a car.

    The warranty is $2,500 and they said that when I finish paying that off, then I have three years that I don't have to pay. So I told CarShield to let me know since I am keeping them. When I told my friends what I experienced with CarShield, they were happy about it. They said that they've never heard of it and I told them that if they don't have a husband and they're by themselves, CarShield is something they should have.

    I didn't have a warranty on my car and it had a lot of miles on it. I called CarShield and their rep asked me a couple of questions. I told him what he wanted to know and he gave me the warranty that I got. He said CarShield pays for the motor, transmission and all electrical. He got electric motors for the winters and he said they'll pay for that too. It was cheaper and better so I tried it. So far, it worked out good. I still owe them money but I'm paying them every month.

    I had to have the air conditioner fixed in my car. I went to Volkswagen first and they said I have to have an inspector come out and look at the car before I can even get a rental car. However, I couldn't get one. Since Volkswagen is miles away from my house, I just took my car to a mechanic down the street down here and showed the book that I got and he called CarShield. And then he worked on it and fixed it but I had to leave it there for a couple few days and I didn't have a car for a few days. Overall, the quality of service was good, they paid for the repair and I was satisfied.

    When I purchased the warranty I specifically asked if they replaced parts with used parts or if only new parts were used as I had a friend who dealt with a warranty company that put a used engine in his car that had problems. He assured me over the phone that CarShield was a reputable company that used only new parts to repair vehicles. Well, my vehicle needs a transmission and I now know that he lied to me and CarShield will only put a junkyard transmission in my vehicle. Buyer beware I guess.

    My 2011 Equinox's warranty ran out, so I had to get some extended warranty. The rep from CarShield was very friendly and explained very well. When I had an incident where we had to replace the motor in my Equinox, we were way down here in Georgia and CarShield was way up in Chicago and they had to ship the motor way down here. The dealer that I took it to filed for the process and it took a little bit of time to get it going. The process took about a month to be completed. One time, it even got lost, but once they got the motor down here, they did all right. I haven't had any more trouble with my car and it seems to run good.     My vehicle stop moving while in gear, I had it towed to an authorized Nissan dealership, which diagnosed my vehicle as having a defective transmission. Carshield refuse to cover the diagnosis because they stated it was an electronic issue in the TRANSMISSION, which caused the transmission to become defective. And the dealership stated that it was a defect in the transmission that caused the electronic parts in the transmission to fail. Regardless the transmission failed which was supposed to be covered in my warranty plan that Carshield is refusing to cover. I would not recommend Carshield to anyone because of their immoral business practices.

    CarShield has refused to complete their part when it comes to repairing my wife car: So far $1800.00 in car rental fees, $110 in towing fees, and now accumulating storage fees from the repair shop. The operators at CarShield are useless when it comes accomplishing any progress in the process of repairing vehicles. I don't even know why they are in this business. Car currently sits in pieces at repair shop due to mandatory tear down for further diagnosis and inspection that was ordered a week ago (3/29/2018), and today 4/5/2018 I was told that they could not authorize an inspector to come and inspect what they wanted to inspect.

    At this point, I have no words and I can only laugh. CarShield has received Diagnosis from the dealership, specialist, and two separate Auto repair shops, and still they are asking why is the car not working. NOT MY JOB, I PAY, YOU FIX!!! It's like they don't understand their own business concept. Bottomline: CarShield is a continuing criminal enterprise pretending to be car warranty firm. To whom it may concern, FAIR WARNING: CARSHIELD WILL ABUSE YOU IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY WHATEVER THEY ARE PRETENDING TO SELL. 1st hand experience-stay away from this company.

    I hate writing this review. I've researched reviews on Carshield now and I've discovered there are 2 stages with very similar reviews. The first is of the ordering process. It's positive (like my own experience). The second is of those trying to have a claim paid, those are negative (like my own experience). I can pay to have my vehilce torn apart to see if the repair is covered and if not I'm responsible for any and all cost of the teardown and repair or simply putting it back together.

    From what they explained over the phone there is a 95% chance it won't be covered. That's not why I pay nearly 10% of my annual income for a "new car warranty" as the very nice salesman called it. That's a huge gamble! I'm not willing to take that gamble, my gamble is paying the high premium every month for a policy that said they would be there for me. I told the salesman upon purchase "I'm hesitant because all is good now but when I need you I'm afraid there will be some technicality and I won't be covered". He assured me that's not how Carshield works.

    Now that exact thing has happened; so unfortunately I've got exactly what I expected from Carshield. I called to discuss my situation and got transferred several times 2 times back to the same people that were supposed to "handle my situation". I'm frustrated even further because I've already paid well over the amount of my repair to Carshield, but still owe even more than that to fully pay off my policy. I have great apprehension going further with the new lack of trust I have with Carshield. They have not contacted me further even though I have reached out for more discussion on this matter.

    My father was sold this policy and was told it covered bumper to bumper since my car was 4 years old. Supposedly covers drivetrain. My front wheel bearing is going out. Took it to a dealer who verified this and tried to file a claim. Ford dealer is stating on a 2013 Ford Escape that the wheel bearings are part of a drivetrain. CarShield/American Auto Shield is denying payment calling it a suspension problem. Luckily, my dad and husband will do the repair since Ford wants $500 to fix it ($42 part). I would pay the dealer had I not spent over $600 on this insurance that doesn’t pay anything. My father is canceling coverage on both vehicles on our policy and disputing payments made to the bank for services not delivered. Horrible company full of liars!

    Dairyland was my company and I was looking through different insurance plans and I looked at CarShield’s plan and I liked their plan too. My idea was that I pay so much and they pay so much, and if I get an accident and it’s not my fault, insurance is going to pay for everything. I liked the policy and CarShield is a fair company and I wanted to deal with them. I wanted to overcome all the obstacles out there to prevent myself from getting in an accident. Their cover sounded right to me so I got it and I’ll work with it. My vehicle is my line to go to work and to come home. I did the setup process online and the person that got me to them is my brother. He was also the one that did all interactions for me.

    When I purchased my vehicle, I waited a while and I found out the transmission was really bad so I called CarShield and got it fixed. I like the quality of their service so far because when I brought the car in to be fixed, they were right there and looking at the transmission. I paid so much and they paid so much, and I got a brand-new transmission. I like how quick they were. Since purchasing their protection plan, I feel safer and I feel like I got somebody on my shoulder that’s helping me with different things. It was the best policy I could think of because with Dairyland, if I got hit and it wasn’t my fault, they would pay for everything. I would call them and they would jump right in. It’s very good for me to have CarShield. If there are any problems, I can call them and they’ll cover and take a picture and see what’s going on.

    I would tell my friends CarShield is a program that helps their vehicle and it’s a better thing for them because if they’re going to drive their vehicle and have a problem with it, CarShield is right on it. Like me, I rented a car for two days. I brought my car in and they said it’s going to be about five days. And it was only two days when I went and picked up my vehicle from being fixed. It’s going to improve and I’d recommend it.

    I called about 4 days ago looking for a extended warranty because I just purchased a used car. And after hours of reviews and looking at what was best for me I thought CarShield sounded great, until I got a very very pushy salesman who was very rude and wouldn’t let me speak or hardly talk. And at the end said, "Well if you don’t sign today your loss," I tried explaining I would like information in writing to look at and study for myself. He replied, "Well I told you what you get," so I am like really you want me fork out money for something like this without anything in writing saying what I get before I sign!!! So CarShield if you like my business and anybody else’s first fire this guy and second get in touch with me and provide me with simple detailed information about what is truly covered in writing and let me make my decision without a rude push salesman who acts like he’s selling timeshares in Vegas.

    When my factory warranty expired, I started using CarShield. It has been such a long time ago when they called me, and if it was not for them calling me, I would have never known about them. The knowledgeable sales rep told me his offers, how much it would cost compared to other warranties and what it would cover. He told me how much I could save off purchasing the warranty.

    CarShield is almost like the factory warranty if not better. I just had some work done on the Equinox. We took the Equinox to the dealership. They looked to see what kind of warranty we had. They were saying how good a warranty that we did have because we had quite a few things done that some of which were under factory and then the other things were off. I used the warranty and it covered everything. For what I paid, CarShield is well worth it. It is nice to know that even though the factory warranty is gone, I still have a warranty that covers the car from bumper to bumper. If anyone is looking for a warranty that is for a vehicle after the factory warranty has expired, CarShield would definitely be an investment to buy.

    When I purchased the car, the guy from the dealership said somebody will write, but he didn’t say who it would be or from what company. But then I started getting letters from CarShield saying, “This is the final attempt. Your car warranty is running out and you should protect your vehicle.” I wasn’t looking into any company and I don’t know how they got my information but decided to go ahead and use CarShield. The vehicle protection specialist was doing his job and he told me that I could ask him a million questions if I have to. So, I kept asking him and he provided me answers. He was great and he was telling me about the product.

    I told him that I heard about scams like this stuff before where people will come out and say they have insurance or extended warranty. I was skeptical about purchasing this insurance but he made me trust what he was doing. I asked what their coverage was, and then he explained it to me, and I thought it was suitable for me. He told me that I would pay $140 a month, and I went ahead and did it. The entire package is about $3000 plus for the budget of this insurance I have, or $4000. He gave me several options too, so I took the best one. I did a claim with CarShield recently for my transmission. I was driving my car but from time to time, I would feel a little vibration and I was wondering what it was. So, I took it to a shop and they told me that my transmission might’ve been lifting or something. So, I said before it gets any worse, I’ll just have them take care of it.

    CarShield's quality of service is recommended, and I would recommend somebody to the company. I would tell my friends that CarShield is a legit and safe insurance company, and whatever CarShield tells them, it’s what it is. So, they've got to make sure because if anything is hidden, it’s probably because they didn’t read their contract. CarShield is solid as a company. If they’re looking into getting insurance or extending warranty it would be a qualified company because I’ve used them before. I just had the insurance, and I know that if I needed it one day, I would have it.

    I had a bad experience with CarShield Company when calling in March 2nd 2018 to pay my monthly payment. I decided to pay my monthly payment early because it was not due until March 3rd 2018 when I called in March 2nd to pay it early and to have my car towed to an Auto Repair Shop of my own kind the same day. I need my car fix because I didn't know what was wrong with it. All I knew was it would not start. So they told me that it was my timing belt and that my timing belt on my 1998 Honda Civic Lx was broken and that CarShield wasn't going to cover it and that I was going to be responsible of fixing it myself. They sent out an inspector to the shop to inspect my car and that's when they gonna try and say I already had that problem prior to me putting my car in the shop.

    So CarShield company wouldn't cover my repairs or labor and they told me they wouldn't put me in a rental car either because it's base on what my contract say. I read my contract. So I went back and forward with AMERICAN AUTO SHIELD. They told me even if I would've waited after March 2nd 2018 to get my car fix. They still wasn't gonna fix my car regardless of the fact. The only thing I got was a 400 discount which is a month free from $130 to now $113.00 and that's it. I still would like a refund back of my money since they isn't getting my car fix. Not a free month but a full refund back of a $130.00 back.

    I received a call in response to an inquiry I made online for a warranty. I explained that although the deal sounded good I couldn't commit while on the call, that I would need to do my due diligence. The man was ultra aggressive, reminiscent of a "timeshare closer" (the guy that comes in at the end and makes you feel stupid for not signing up). When I explained that I might purchase the plan but not today, he became rude, saying, "If you knew you weren't going to buy, why did you keep me on the phone all this time?" I then remarked, "I'm sorry but you just completely removed your company from consideration." I didn't catch much else that he said, but he never stopped talking. My input was largely irrelevant during the conversation. The call was at 12:18 pm and came from 636-542-5794. Unfortunately this call was such an experience that I would never consider the company, regardless of price.
