The customer service lady was very nice and very helpful. I enjoyed talking to her, she did everything to make me feel comfortable knowing that she knew what I was talking about and you should give her a promotion. Wish all customer service were like her.

My wife has a fairly new car and with the type of car that she has, we thought we would get a good coverage for it so we decided to get a protection plan from CarShield. So far, we’ve only had to use it once and it works great. The amplifier went out and she took her car to the service center and they checked it out. She gave them the information that she had from CarShield and the service center got in touch with them and everything was taken care of. They covered everything that had to be covered and we just paid a $100 deductible. The overall quality has been very good. Since we’ve never had to buy anything like this before, the cost wasn’t bad at all. It was quite reasonable. Since we had CarShield, my wife feels more comfortable that if something goes wrong, she’s covered. I would tell others to try it too because we were happy with it and I would certainly recommend it.

I called with a claim that my engine locked up. I brought the car to Cadillac. An inspector came and said it wasn’t covered because the car had surface rust on my brake rotors. They said my car was sitting a long time. I put over 2300 Miles in my car since I got the policy, they don’t care. DENIED! And took my $ anyway. Do not use them. They are full of **!!!! Crooked as they come and no talking to them...

My conversation with Kim was most helpful. She was very responsive and offered suggestions, information and offered to send me an additional policy booklet to keep in my car. I have not had the opportunity to file a claim but now know what is required.

I had the warranty that came with my Porsche SUV and because I have an expensive car, I needed to extend the warranty. Someone from CarShield called over the telephone. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in terms of explaining all of the options that I had in regard to coverage. The price was negotiable and we went back and forth and came to an agreement. It was a price that was within my budget and I purchased it.
CarShield seemed to be everything that I signed up for. I had to use the plan once and something went wrong with my car, and the interaction was negotiated between the dealership and customer service. It was going to cost me about $4,000 or $5,000 out of pocket because my insurance had lacked and Porsche was willing to give me a way off of only $1,000. They thought they were doing me a favor by negotiating with Porsche corporate office since my warranty had just expired with them. I waited for them to do their negotiation and then I let them know that I have the additional insurance. When I explained it to them what my benefits were, they were shocked that those were comprehensive.
I was pleased with the coverage that I'm getting from CarShield. I'm a widow so it's just me and I don't know much about cars. I always have the sense that the dealership is going to rip me off. Knowing that I've got them behind, I feel more secure that I have insurance that will cover almost anything that goes wrong with my vehicle.

After the warranty ran out on my vehicle, I thought it would be a good idea to get another service contract. CarShield sent me a mailer and I reached out to them, asked some clarifications on what was covered and what was not covered and they were pretty helpful. They also gave me a good price, so I went with it. I already filed a total of two claims and the dealer dealt directly with them. I did not get involved. But I recall one time, the dealer wanted some repairs done on my car and had contacted CarShield’s adjuster to come and do an inspection. The gentleman at the dealership said that they were very easy to work with and he was quite impressed because, in the past, he has worked with other companies and hasn't had as pleasant an experience.
Overall, the quality of service was fairly positive and I haven't had any issues. They've been very responsive and accommodating. I would probably end up paying more for the coverage than the cost of repairs but that's that way it goes sometimes. And CarShield covers what they say they're going to cover and they don't fight you on claims which I think is the most important thing.

When I received the paperwork from CarShield it said that they would cover everything. But when I spoke with the mechanics they said it was baloney and that CarShield only covers the big stuff. They’re supposed to be more clear. What I receive from the company is supposed to be, point by point, what is covered. I need the information because whatever I pay is supposed to be covered by this company. I don’t know why there are not so many mechanics who respect this coverage or they don’t know how to deal with it. Plus, the mechanics differentiate how to operate the service. Even when I go to the dealer, they are not happy. Nothing is covered and I would have to pay something or go to the other.
The person who knows the coverage doesn’t know how to process an oil change. He has tried to call but he doesn’t know how to fill up the form and I don’t understand. What I have is like some fake stuff such that they could treat me like an idiot for what I needed. I had a problem with the electronic accelerator and I spent $2000. They charged me twice like they used me and it was not fair. But when I filed about the transmission it was easy. It was explained to me and then the next day the inspector came from CarShield and my claim was approved. After three days I had the car back.

I cancelled my service. Salesperson actually wouldn't take no for an answer when I told him I could not give them my credit card while driving, he said to go ahead and do it lots of people do! When I called to cancel because of awful reviews, he tried to actually get me to buy warranty even though the other car bought has dealer warranty. Argued and argued and argued with me about canceling and was very condescending and rude.

I bought a car that had about 119,000 miles on it. It’s a Volvo so there are quite a bit of a $400 to $600 repairs here and there. The world found out that I bought a car and my mailbox was overloaded with third-party warranty company invites. They all seemed to offer the same thing. I chose one and went with CarShield. The people there were kind and got me into the system quickly.
I had an issue but a certified garage, where I went to get work done, spoke to CarShield on my behalf. The garage filed the claim for me, got back to me in a couple of days and said that CarShield accepted. That was seamless. CarShield did what they said they would do. They had work done to my car and I paid a $100 as my deductible. My car went into a garage and laborers spent hours on it and that was compensated. And the part that was mailed to the garage was also compensated. But they took a bad part out and they were supposed to replace it. They replaced it with an equally bad part, possibly even worse.

We had issues with repairs before and I have actually two policies with CarShield right now on both our vehicles. We’ve been with CarShield for a while. We purchased a new policy around January last When filing claims, I just go to the dealer and he would take care of it for me. Also, the protection specialists were pretty good. However, I wish the cost was less. Based on my policies, they were around $3,000 a piece and this one is a repurchase of a policy that gets to 100,000 and the other was additional purchase from when I had bought that policy with the 2005.
I let my credit go towards my new vehicle and I was unaware. I did not really understand the issue with the mileage and the year thing and I should’ve just got my money back and bought it later because we have the car for five years and the policy went out. I actually bought a brand new vehicle and kept the policy going there. I had it paid off within the first year and a half and then five years later, I found out that even if my vehicle had less than 80,000 miles on it, my policy was in the over the five-year thing. So I’ll watch that next time. I just let it go and get my money back. I definitely feel more secure with CarShield.

CarShield’s customer service was a lot better than other warranty providers including the last warranty people that I dealt with, so I decided to purchase from them when I needed it. Their vehicle specialists explained the warranty to me a lot better and they had answers to whatever questions I had. To get approved for a claim, I call them and they tell me what I need to do. They tell me to take it to the dealership, and the dealership will contact them after the dealership does what they need to do. I did what I was told and everything was taken care of.
I was very appreciative how their customer service rep handled my situation, except when I was getting letters from CarShield and I needed to contact them concerning my warranty and other stuff because they didn’t take my name off a certain list. It confused me thinking that something was wrong with our warranty, but they took care of it so I haven’t received anything else in the mail since. Other than that, their deductible is low and I would tell a friend to check them out.

I planned on keeping my vehicle and I had low mileage on it so I decided to purchase a service contract for it from CarShield. Since getting the service contract all my interactions with my certified vehicle protection specialist have gone smoothly. I submitted a claim for the car about 3 times and it was covered. But when I took my electrical problem up there with them they figured out a way to not cover the repair.
It came down to where the vehicle is fitting at a Ford dealer. The car repair company submitted the claim and CarShield sent an adjuster down to look at the vehicle and authorize the repair. It's a convertible car and it was raining on the day that CarShield's adjuster came out to look at the car. I live in Washington state where it rains quite a bit. No water was leaking into the car. Still the adjuster said that the electrical problem was caused by excessive moisture in the vehicle. Because of that moisture it would not be covered by CarShield's service contract. Up into that point it was fine. But then all of a sudden, it was like, "I'm not too happy with them." But I'm still glad I have probably the same warranty and hopefully if I do have another incident they don't figure out a way not to play pay the claim. If a friend would ask about them I wouldn't recommend them.

When interacting with CarShield, I had overall a good experience. Every time I was on the phone with them, they were very polite and friendly. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, I had to cancel my contract. Even when canceling, they were friendly, although a little pushy on trying to get me to stay. As soon as they realized I was intent on canceling however, they were very helpful in instructing me on how to do so. My car ran into no issues during the term of my contract, so I cannot comment on the process of filing a claim. My only issue with coverage is it does not cover leaky gaskets.

So I saw the commercial for this on TV, and thought it might be good for my daughter who lives in CA. Went online and filled out the questioner only looking for a quote and was almost immediately contacted by sales. After a brief conversation was switched over to a coverage specialist (Kevin). I couldn't give him the exact mileage cause she's in CA and I'm in MD. Looking for only a quote only on a 2007 Nissan Sentra and the commercial says 20 years or newer. Kevin said to me that due to the age of the car if I didn't purchase coverage by the end of the call they might not be able to get coverage. Told him, "Ok thanks. I'll try something else." While I was hanging I could hear him say, "But don't you want your quotes?". What a piss poor way to try to get business.

I'm not happy with the dealer from CarShield because they worked on my brakes and they’re not functioning that well. I took the car twice and CarShield never really fixed the problem. Right now, I’m thinking of an independent mechanic. Even so, CarShield helped me out with everything. They're perfect but when it comes to the service, they're not good. They did a poor job on the vehicle.

Samantha has been great to me for sure. All the other ones I talked to were helpful as well. They have been very helpful and I Highly recommended them!! I needed to cancel because it turns out we still had a couple of years left on our original service warranty that we had forgotten about. They were gracious and speedy in getting my refund processed. We will come back to them when we need a new warranty. Thank you.

Very pleased with service. Troy made this very easy. The price was a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Glad I called to check on prices. Added both of my trucks to be covered. I will now be better prepared if one of the trucks break down and know how much I will be paying. Mine is $100.00 deductible better than what it could be. $100.00's instead of $1000.00's. I would recommend. If you do not have coverage go with CarShield.

Kody of Carnegie, PA summed it up. Wanted a quote, got passed around and price lowered. Then lowered again. Since I wouldn't pay the fee to start contract right then they didn't send any information. They called me on 12/22 or 12/23 after I inquired about a quote online. I told the first guy I would not give him a yes or no as he went through the script. I thought the second guy understood that right up until he asked how would I be paying for the fee today so he could put my contract in the mail. Then you get to start all over saying, "No, No, No."

2008 Mercedes - The items wrong with vehicle were not covered by warranty. Samantha was so helpful in making adjustment for me! I have 2 warranties on separate cars & am glad that I do! I would definitely recommend CarSheild to others. The experience was more than I would have expected. My day is much better now!

December 29, 2017. Worse company ever CarShield!!! This company is a fraud and they tell you lies and misleading, and misrepresentation of their product. They tell you certain parts are covered but then when one of these "Supposedly" parts need repair they deny your claim. Then they tell you that they will call you back, the next day then they don't, just more lies. Stay away from CarShield and America Auto Shield and America Banker. They just try and pass the buck!! These companies are fraud!!!! Beware. Do not buy warranty from these companies, find someone else!!!

I saw an advertisement for CarShield on tv and I thought it would be a great service for my family. However, the representative and his managers oversold me. I told them I was very interested in the services, however, I wanted the contract emailed to me before making the initial payment. Instead the sales rep transferred me to his manager who continued to insist that I give him my credit card number. After 15 minutes I just hung up the phone because the sales manager was no longer listening to me. I was really looking forward to the service, however, after my experience, I'm no longer interested.

CarShield did me wrong a couple of months ago. We called them to file the claim then they took the car and left it for later. When I went to receive the car back, the guy there at the office said that they waited for a few days. They put a used transmission in my car and I didn’t like it. They should have put a new one in there. When I get an extended warranty on my vehicle and something goes wrong, I want it to be paid back. I’m very unsatisfied with them.

I can make this short and to the point. I was told that my contract would cover the engine, transmission & drivetrain & electrical. I have a 4 wheel drive Suburban. CarShield refused to cover any type of sensor (electrical). They refused to cover my transfer case (a lubricated part). When agreed to the contract, I was told that the only maintenance that was required for me to keep a record of was my oil changes. Once my claim was filed, I was told that I have to keep and have a maintenance record for everything. If I couldn't show proof of it, they won't cover it. The transfer case was inspected but no service was done to it. Nowadays, all vehicles run by computer. Sensors are critical to the function of a engine. It's part of the electrical system in all vehicles. CarShield won't cover anything. They will conveniently find a reason NOT to cover your vehicle.

Like most people, I like to get multiple quotes before making a decision. I contacted CarShield and told them that I am comparing coverages and prices. Instead of understanding this request, they kept putting different people on the line to explain how I was getting the best deal and that it doesn't matter what the other companies say. In the end, the salesman got frustrated and just said "ok bye" because I told him repeatedly that I needed to discuss the payments and coverage with my other half. They also did not email me the quote they had discussed over the phone. MY ADVICE: If you go through them do not accept the first price they mention because they dropped the price for my coverage at least three times. I will be doing business with Endurance based solely upon their actions on the phone.

I am a Senior Citizen and was getting ready to take lady friends on a road trip. I wanted my car to be in tip-top shape and I was unable to detail my car myself. I googled for an on-site detailer. From the list I was shown, I chose Car Shield because of the detail of services provided and the price. I called and made an appointment that fit my schedule. The detailer showed-up at the appointment time, did the job, asked for my approval, and I pointed out two weired interior places that needed attention. He cleaned them and did not appear disgusted. I was pleased with the service and would call them again.

My mother mistakenly took the bait from this company. She has a nearly brand new vehicle and it's under full warranty. When I called to cancel it on her behalf I was given this song and dance of the warranty on her car started when it was built and that the extended warranty she purchased FROM NISSAN was backed by third parties that looked out for the dealers, not the consumer.
First statement of vehicle warranty starts at the time it was built, not the in service date. FALSE. Your warranty goes active when you purchase the vehicle and it goes into service. Second statement of extended warranty is not backed by Nissan but by a third party. Really? That's very interesting since it's a Nissan warranty and states that it is backed by Nissan, not a third party. Rendering that statement as FALSE as well. This leads me to my next statement. If this warranty was backed by a third party then what exactly is your organization? It surely isn't the manufacturer.
Finally I would like to further state that the customer service is terrible. We'll call it customer NO SERVICE. They talk all over you, cut you off, etc. so that they may still give you their stupid song and dance of why their company is so great. In my eyes this company is a complete fraud preying on elderly and unsuspecting individuals. If they were the last auto warranty company on the planet I still wouldn't do business with them. I'd rather walk or ride a bike. So buyer beware. You've been warned!

I have a friend who uses CarShield and a BMW that I don’t want to have to fix. The maintenance fee on it was very expensive so I figured it would be better for me to secure CarShield for that. Their reps were very helpful and precise about what would be covered. They sent me a written agreement that I could look over which was cool and acceptable to me. I used them once months ago when I needed a tow and I was pleased with the service. My starter wasn’t working, so CarShield got a tow truck to me, but I should have read my contract to see that it was limited on the amount of miles. However, they replaced the part, I paid my deductible and I was fine. I would continue to be their customer and I'd recommend them to a friend.

When I bought my 2011 Buick Enclave, I thought that getting a warranty would be a good investment because I couldn't predict the repairs and I wanted that extra protection if I ever needed it. I thought the CarShield warranty was a good deal so I got one. Their people were very professional and treated me very well. When I filed a claim for the suspension and steering of my car, it was also easy because I went to my Buick dealership and they helped me a lot. It was a smooth sail and I got great service from them. CarShield is awesome and I had nothing but success with them. I would also recommend them in a heartbeat. People would be crazy if they don’t have CarShield. After talking about the plan with their reps, people would probably run and hurry up to fill out that form.

I have seen the bad reviews and seen the responses from CarShield, but no real action. The usual thing you would see from a politician... "We have read your concerns, we do not take these matters lightly, we are looking into it." But I don't see any follow up or real action from CarShield where they have taken any action other than to... "look into the matter." Looking for something like, "Dear Ana, after investigating the matter we have taken the following actions... retraining or terminating the individual. We have followed up with the outside agency and the following actions have been taken..." I was thinking about signing up myself, but I don't see any real follow through actions with a customer's concerns.

I’m quite satisfied with my experience with CarShield. I’ve spoken to one salesman a few years ago and he gave me the information about the program and I went along with it. I got the auto warranty so that if something was wrong, we can get it fixed. I’ve used it once and they were quite helpful. I went to the BMW company, and they checked everything. I told the dealer that I have this warranty and they called, then CarShield covered it.

CarShield is a excellent place to buy warranty coverage. I have their premium package very happy with the results. I have a 2015 2500 Silverado. Had one issue with it already. The only thing came out of my pocket was $100 for the deductible. I Have another issue with my truck right now and they're on top of it. Can't be more happier with this coverage. My car is an '08 and it had 20,000 miles on it. I wanted to buy an auto warranty for it but I thought I couldn't get one because it's too old, then CarShield called me. I talked to a supervisor and he was awesome. They were great and not pushy. After I beat them down for a while, it took about an hour to purchase the warranty. I've already made a claim and they took care of everything, which was really nice. I was a hundred percent satisfied. CarShield is great and a good company. I'm recommending them to my parents.

After getting a hold of a rep, they were able to confirm the original cancellation in their notes, and it looked like the original rep I'd cancelled with wrote a notation about cancelling but forgot to actually cancel the account. After seeing the error, they quickly agreed to refund every penny they'd charged me, from the down payment to the monthly fees, which was nice and unexpected. They didn't even put a fight, just offered right off the bat. So that was much appreciated.
It was still a bit weird that they had my wrong email account on file so I'd never heard from them in that span where they were charging me leading me to believe I was cancelled. The whole thing was essentially a comedy of errors due to two reps making a single mistake each (forgetting to cancel, wrong email), so while I'm comfortable recommending Carshield to anyone who feels like they could use the extra peace of mind by having their car extra-insured (it really is a pretty good deal if you're using your car heavily, delivery drivers and such doing hundreds of miles a day), I do so with the caveat that you double check some of your account info while on the line with them, and follow up and/or watch you account info if you cancel.
Still though, I'm extremely satisfied with how they resolved this issue. Very quick and professional about it, and was never on hold for more than a couple minutes.

I signed up earlier this year after I bought a car and they called soon after. During my sign up, they said I could cancel within the next month or so if I wanted and there'd be 0 charges. The next day, I did some math and decided it wasn't for me, so I called and cancelled. They were very friendly and were happy to cancel after talking about why. I verified with them that it would be cancelled and there would be no charges. They said "yes, that's exactly it, cancelled no charges." Well, turns out that was a lie and ever since earlier this year they've been charging me $133 / month for the last 8 months. The entry on my bank statement looks similar in text and amount to some other recurring fees so I didn't really notice until I decided to take a really deep look at my statements. Everything was fine, as expected, except for this CarShield entry. I dug deeper and they've been charging since at least April.
They verified my cancellation, verified I'd never be charged, but then they charge anyways and just hoped I didn't notice. They've almost certainly done this to other people. There's no way I was the first. Nothing like this has ever happened in my history of using many recurring products and services, so I doubt it's coincidence it happened with CarShield. They probably have a small amount of income they can rely on by stealthily not cancelling and hoping it's not noticed. It can be hard to find single charges amongst hundreds on a monthly basis for everyone. CarShield are thieves. Their customer service isn't even readily available, so I can't even do anything about it right now, outside of this review. Think twice about CarShield, they will literally steal your money.

We keep our van in good shape and we just want to make sure nothing goes wrong with it. And if we couldn’t afford all those wants we thought that an auto warranty would help out. CarShield was rated high based on the ratings and responses that people give. However it's not as well as I thought it would be but it's still a good company. I had taken it up in and got it worked on. And when I first got the policy, the guy told me that I had 24 hours to come out, which upon those 24 to 48 hours weren’t such a big deal. But when I took my van to the auto repair was when I found out I wasn’t allowed to take my van out of the shop because they said that CarShield wouldn't allow me to take it out of the shop until everything was done.
I'm handicapped, so I had to have a van because I can't get in any other vehicle. So, they finally got me a van, and then I came to found out CarShield tells me that they'll only pay for four days and I could have taken my van out once the adjuster got there. But from what I understand, of course, again they said they were going to send me back a check. They said they'd send it out the 30th. I called in and they said they didn’t send it out until the 3rd. I'm not too happy being told one thing and then I call a few days later and find out that they still haven't sent it out. If they did, I wouldn't mind recommending them to somebody.

They kept harassing me to put warranty on my vehicle. I go to the dealer because a part was messed up and come to find out CarShield didn’t cover that part. I started paying them from February and never used it... I asked them to terminate my contract because it didn’t cover that part... They terminated my contract but only reimburse me 150$ from the almost 1000$ I paid since February... I feel like I got robbed.

I called to cancel my account and instead of them understanding that I was calling to cancel because of hardships he sent me around in circles. I wasted my whole lunch break arguing with him over cancelling my services only to be told that I have to write this whole letter out telling them why when I already told them over the phone. It's a hassle and when I asked for a manager he refused. If I could get my refund I totally would so I would not want that experience again. Irritating and time consuming. I could understand offering me a deal at first but he wasted 30 mins before that. It was ridiculous.

The first time I took my Chevrolet Impala 2011 in, the auto warranty policy says all my electrical parts were going to be covered but that didn’t include my motor for my car seat so that had to come out of my pocket. And I consider that as part electrical problem because it’s an electrical motor. But CarShield said they don't cover that. Then my electrical lock went out and they didn’t cover a certain piece of the component for my electrical lock. That's part electrical as far as I can say. And then my head gasket blew and they said because the contract states that another lubricant part has to go out for the head gasket to be covered, they won't cover it either.
But I went through a process and made me pull my car motor out. That was $1,000 that I had to pay out of my pocket that they didn’t cover. Lastly, I wanted to get a rental car and they didn't help me. I had to pay for everything. So I told them I gave all my money to them but I couldn't get anything in return. It was a waste. And I felt the customer service team led me on because if I knew I was going to have to pay for my car motor that was going to come out, I would have gone up another route and tell them not to touch my engine. I will just trade it in.
Instead, I had to pay $2,000 on top of the trade-in and it just wasn’t worth it. If I knew all the principles and the factors, I would’ve gone a different route definitely. Also, to be led this much astray when I just went through a hurricane with no power is bad enough. All I had was a car. If someone had told me what’s going to happen and had explained how the benefits worked, I would have said okay. Given my dissatisfaction, I won't recommend CarShield to anybody.

I used CarShield once when my air condition compressor broke. It came in handy because it was $1,000. It took longer for the dealership to get the part, but everything else went well. I've told several people that CarShield is definitely something to look into. If you're looking for an extension on your warranty that pretty much covers bumper to bumper with very few exclusions, try CarShield.

I have owned my vehicle for eleven years. This extended warranty is of value due to the age of my car. The coverage of parts is also good. The only thing that I don't like, which is not the fault of CarShield, is that car dealers charge so much for labor. Because of dealers' high labor, I pay a lot more than the $100.00 deductible. I would recommend CarShield.

They did a good job (Wind Shield Repair). They are fast a responsible plus friendly, kind. When I got my windshield replace they were honest and fair on prices. They call to make sure that you are satisfied with your service plus remind you that your warranty is still valid and, "Are you having any issue. If so please come in and lets us help you". I like that. Most places just don't care but they do.

Champion Auto is a great company. They did a wonderful job with repairing my 2008 BMW 328i. My car ran hot and found I needed a electric water pump and all the other components that goes out. I was informed of what was wrong with my car, they call me while fixing my giving me a timeline of what time I could pick up my car. I have already recommend them to other people I know. I bought an extended warranty from CarShield. Yes their Sales tactics are high pressure. The warranty coverage was provided by a third party, Interstate National Dealer Services. INDS will go out of their way to find a way to deny coverage. The contract has an A to U list of exclusions, and they will find a way to deny your claim from their endless list of exclusions. The most common gotcha, is the part is a covered part but it didn't fail. It's "wear and tear" and “we don't cover that”. You know they will not go over the 12 page contract in the sales call.

CarShield came in the mail and I ended up getting a good deal with them. CarShield started out real high and I said, “No, thanks.” And then they kept working until it was something I could afford. The warranty worked good. I had used it on my truck when the front axle seals went out. It took a couple days for the adjuster to get here and bless it. The dealership said it’s broke so they had somebody come and say, “Yeah, it’s broke.” The truck was down for about four or five days but, other than that, it was no big deal. The dealership called and handled everything for me. I didn’t have to do anything but show them the policy and other stuff. They had the part overnighted, and the truck was back on the road and going a day or two later. I hope I don’t have to use the warranty again but it’s nice to have it if I need it. I got the extended warranty for the last two trucks I’ve had and they've paid off in the long run.

I called CarShield to see what it was about and to check out the payments. When I was trying to decline the offer I was harassed. The payment processing specialist was being condescending and insulting about my time and money. I had to verbally tell him that I was getting frustrated and that I was tired of his assumptions and that I was about to hang up on him. EVEN AFTER THAT, he still continued to speak down to me and harass me. He obviously cares more about making a sale than about actual customer satisfaction. All I wanted to know is if I would be able to call back when my financial situation changed, but after this encounter I wouldn't even call back if it did.

I called this morning trying to get some information on my new vehicle. At first everything was fine with the call but all started wrong when I said I was gonna wait and get back later on. They went far harassing telling me that I have to get a package insisting being very pushy. When I said no, they just hang up without saying thanks (I said, "Thanks for your time.") or without telling anything. He sounded upset because he didn't sell. You guys need to be courteous no matter if people buy it or not.

CarShield called and told me that my warranty was done and they asked if I wanted to renew it. I did and they gave me a better payment. They made the payment how easy it was and not expensive because I try to avoid spending and they explained everything well. Once, my car was checked out and I needed a part for my car, their customer service helped me out. They told me it was going to be expensive but they would cover it so I was grateful for that. It was great having CarShield and I hope I keep having an insurance. It's easy to work with them and I would recommend them.

I know that paying for repairs on vehicles is expensive so I decided to get an auto-warranty. CarShield gave me a call and they were a little pushy on trying to get me to take the sale but other than that, it was good. The rep I spoke to also did a good job. We had some repairs done about two or three months ago. We took the vehicle to the place where it would be repaired and they did all the calls to make the claim. The coverage has been good and it paid for the repairs. We already had three repairs done on it and it was over $3,000. That's what the policy is so it covered itself. I'm satisfied with CarShield.

I have a 2008 car with 97,000 miles on it and it sounded good to have the protection in case something went wrong with it. Six months ago, I had one experience with the transmission on my car and I wasn't really too satisfied with it. I thought they should put new parts in the car instead of going to another junkyard and getting parts to put on it. They didn't even try to find a brand new part and they told me that was the way it's going to be. I tried to tell them that I'm old and I live here in Pueblo but go back to Kansas. What am I supposed to do when it breaks down in the middle of nowhere because they fixed it with junk?
They told me to call somebody to fix it but there are places out there that you can't even get cell service and there's not a town in miles. They kept insisting that it's covered under warranty but that doesn't do me any good out in the middle of nowhere. I realize it's under warranty but if you can't get it fixed what do you do? They kept insinuating that you can get it fixed so they must be some big city boys and they don't know what the country is like. It so happens that I got lucky and I have no problems with the transmission but they didn't seem to be interested in me out here paying my premium. All they could tell me was it was under warranty and that was not a very good situation.

I have an older (2007) car, so I decided to acquire an auto warranty. I saw CarShield’s advertisement, so I went with them. While I had a reasonably pleasant experience with their vehicle specialist, I was not happy with the one service that was done because of the procedures. It took CarShield a long time to get anything worked out. It also took their representative a long time to make it to the car dealership. In turn, it took CarShield a long time to get the car repair okayed.

My warranty with the dealership had ended and CarShield contacted and got a hold of me. And since I've had the extended warranty, I've had a good experience every time I dealt with them. We had to take my AC converter into a dealership for a claim and they already had a rental waiting for us. Everything was smooth and it was a quick process, and I had my car back in a couple of days.

My 2012 Cadillac was a brand new car. However, it was on a lease when I got it at the beginning. So I decided to get the extra extended warranty. I find it very valuable to have an extended auto warranty policy for peace of mind in case something happens, especially for me, who got the car on lease for three years and then buying it for four more years. I got offers from CarShield and my experience with their salespeople was good. When filing a claim, I go to the dealership and tell them what's wrong with my car, and then they contact CarShield for me. Although there have been a couple of issues with CarShield, everything has been pretty good for the most part.

My credit wasn't good enough to get an extended warranty for my vehicle so I waited like a month after I got the vehicle and then I got CarShield. I never had any problem with them. When the car's warranty had a conflict with the shop I had them call the dealership that was giving me problems with it and they helped me out a lot. It was a really good warranty company. Everybody should have an extended warranty because it saves you a lot of money.

Do not buy this insurance. The Claims department not only are slow, but the people in the Claims department are both rude and belligerent. My car has been broken down for over two weeks now and CarShield still has not approved the work.

My mom received an urgent letter from them as well as phone calls stating that she needs to extend her coverage on her vehicle. Bottom line, she didn't know of this company and had any ideas how they got her address or number. She finally called to see what was going on after they continually harassed her and the rep was very pushy after she stated numerous times she wasn't interested because she was on a fixed income. I then had to take the phone because my elderly mom was getting upset, he then had the nerve to ask me why don't I pay it for her! That right there told me this company was out of getting money and was a complete SCAM! What kind of company tries to push people into committing to something they've stated that can't afford right now. I'm reporting this company ASAP!!

I didn’t want to pay the full price for repair work when my car breaks and having an extended auto insurance policy is definitely helpful, so I decided to get an auto warranty and my mechanic recommended that I use CarShield. I started using them with my first Mercedes eight years ago. The payment for the auto warranty was a little expensive, but it was cheaper than what it would cost if I had to repair the car. The reps were very helpful. They called and asked me to renew the warranty for my car, but I had gotten rid of that car, so I told them that I had already sold it and to transfer my warranty over to my new car, and they did. Usually, I hand the warranty book to my mechanic and he handles it from there. He has filed a claim for me with CarShield. So far, everything has been good with them, but it would be better if they would give me a better monthly rate.

When I took my car in for the 60,000 mile check, I had no idea I had several major problems... It seemed to be running great. The dealer called me with an estimate of several thousand dollars, and then I told him I had CarShield. After our $100 deductible, we paid less than a 1/3 of the original estimate. Love the coverage and the security of knowing exactly what CarShield will get fixed!

Traction control was going off, and loss of power. I went to dealership close to me. They unplugged the sensor that talks to mechanic, then my cruise. Went to dealership I purchased the car from and they changed a sensor. No problems so far, and my cruise control is back.

CarShield and their administrator, United Car Care went out of their way to deny my claim. Initially, their salesman indicated that as long as there were no claims during the "Waiting Period", the vehicle was covered. My claim was after the "Waiting Period" had passed. They denied my claimed based on two issues. It was a preexisting condition and an aftermarket oil filter was on the vehicle. My response: They issued their policy on a 12 year old vehicle that had 133,500 miles, shouldn't they expect issues due to previous wear and tear? I was also able to produce a receipt for an oil change and with previously mentioned filter by an ASE certified mechanic within 700 miles of the breakdown. This certified mechanic is part of an auto group which contains a Ford Dealership (the covered vehicle was a Ford) and according to the contract I was to maintain my vehicle according to the vehicle manufacturer.

It was easy to make payments with CarShield. They just took it out of my bank account every month. Then I had an engine failure and had to do an engine replacement. A procedure that should've taken three or four days took over a month. It was really slow and very methodical. They shipped the wrong engine on two different occasions so they had to be shipped back and I was without a vehicle for an entire month during this process.
They only paid for a loaner for six days which is how long it should've taken to swap the engine out. Having a policy was great for me because the policy cost me $3,000 and the new engine was $10,000. But the customer service part of it and actually getting to use the warranty in a timely manner was a really bad and disappointing experience.

I got this Warranty extension to cover my 2004 Chevy Silverado; the ads make it a point to have Mike Ditka & their non-celebrity salespersons claim they cover sensors. Nope, not so much, unless YOU "UPGRADE". My FIRST call to them, for knock sensors, I'm informed they're "not covered under (my) plan". Therefore, as a widowed, disabled USMC veteran on a fixed income, I have to pay NINE HUNDRED ELEVEN PLUS DOLLARS; this is AFTER several months of getting "dinged" for $134.00+/mo. When I questioned this via phone, their "representatives" seem to feel their job is to make THEIR UPSET CUSTOMERS feel stupid. Thanks a lot, CarShield - rest assured, I WON'T be recommending your pathetic "service".

Signing up with CarShield wasn't hard. I called them on the phone and told them what I wanted. I added another car for someone else and they set up my payment plans and it's been working great ever since. When I had a transmission issue, I didn't do anything but tell Nissan who I had the service contract with and they called in the claim. The process was very easy and CarShield did a good job for my car.

My agent Richard was informative and patient. He took the time to explain to me thoroughly the details of the plan that I selected. I was also provided with a confirmation # and a link to the app was provided via email. The young lady that took the initial call was very pleasant as well.

Car dealership called your company with the what needed to be repaired. And obviously was under warranty and the next phone call I received was that the repair was OK and under warranty. There was no hassle and it was the easiest thing. Next that I knew it was done and course and he only the deductible.

My other auto warranty ran out and I had just finished paying for it at the bank. I had moved up and I’m in North Carolina, and I wanted to get a warranty on my car ‘cause it wasn’t under any warranty. We had the car towed to the dealer one time and CarShield immediately approved the new starter and guided me into the car. It was great and life-saving. There’s no way I could’ve paid $1200 to $1500 myself. CarShield was excellent, and the dealership said that they have never had a company that was as sufficient and good as they were. The guy at the dealership was praising them endlessly. Plus, CarShield's customer service team was very nice.

Monthly rate lowered after to talking to Jeep salesman and their rates compared to your monthly withdrawal from my VISA. Your salesperson was pleasant and explained to me that my coverage would still be covered at the Jeep location by your company and it still covered all the mechanical components that it did before.

So far, it has been a satisfactory experience from CarShield. I purchased the warranty through the phone and the rep was very professional and has a good attitude. Everything went smoothly. I had filed one claim and it was taken care of. Having an extended auto insurance is worth it. I kept it after I had the transmission installed and I'm planning on keeping it until I get a new car. CarShield is doing a great job and I'd recommend them.

So far I have been more than pleased with my experience with Car Shield. I was given all the information I needed to make a decision when I signed up for the Warranty Program. I was treated with respect and I felt like the customer service people were genuinely interested in getting me the best protection for the best price. I've NEVER done business with this company, yet I have received mail from them, more than once, implying that I purchased coverage from them and warning me that I haven't called to activate my coverage! It also claims my warranty is expired, which is false, as I paid for the extended warranty when I bought my car! Additionally, the envelope claims it is "personal and confidential - open immediately" just to fool you into thinking it's actually important! This is deceptive and dishonest and even if I were looking for extended coverage on my car, I would never choose a company that resorts to shady business practices like this!

As you mentioned, our mailers DO suggest consumers give us a call IF their factory has expired. We explain coverage is available through us and to call to activate a service contract. We also mention in the letter that CarShield is an independent, nationwide company marketing vehicle service contracts on behalf of leading third party administrators.
We have coverage plans available for consumers on all types of budgets. If you're still interested in a service contract, one of our specialists will be willing to work with you and assist you in fitting a plan into your budget, as repair bills, once the factory warranty has expired, can be costly.
In the meantime, we have removed you from our calling and mailing lists. You should no longer receive notices from CarShield.
Once again, we do apologize about any inconvenience our mailer may have caused you.

DO NOT get this. They do not pay. You pay them all this money and when you need them they have loop holes so they do not have to pay for repairs. They will tell you that you have to authorize for the machine shop to tear down your engine so they can find out what is wrong with the engine and that they will pay but when it comes down to it you have to pay for it when they determined that the engine is not covered. So you out thousands of dollars for the tear down that you have to do and the payments you have to make every month. By the time you pay for all that you could of just bought a engine for that price. So be very careful. They will lie to you and make it sound like such a great deal but in the end you are the one getting the short end and they get all the money. They are a big rip off so be very careful

A month ago the ac died in my car. Took car to my mechanic of 15 yrs; it was the compressor. He filed the claim with Carshield (Am. Auto Ins.) and ordered new compressor for car. We waited long time for Carshield to approve his repairing the car. Three weeks ago Carshield said they would not pay for new compressor, that I had to have used one installed!!! Relayed this to my mechanic; he doubts if used one will last. One month from filing claim, I am told used compressor was "ordered" but they could not tell me the exact arrival date. I am livid. No way this should have taken over a month before my car gets fixed; IT IS OVER 100 DEGREES OUTDOORS, AND I AM SUPPOSED TO DRIVE WITH NO AC??? FOR A MONTH???

The first time I ever tried to make a claim on a simple AC condenser replacement, it was denied. The rep on the inside clearly led the service writer to say what he wanted to hear so the claim would not be paid. The service writer said it was the strangest claim call he had ever done with a warranty company. I would run as fast as I can from this company. I work in the insurance business, and if I were to lead a customer that way I would lose my license.

The agent took the time to understand the concern, referenced the same document and then addressed the concern by removing us from a mailing list we should have been removed from several years ago. CarShield was more affordable than the other auto warranty provider that the auto manufacturer had so we went with them. And we just have the direct withdrawal in making the payments for the warranty. We had a claim with them about a minor issue in our car and their process was very, very easy. My husband went to the dealer and the dealer took care of the claim. We hardly had to do anything.

My truck was getting old and the price of CarShield's warranty wasn't too bad at first, so I got one from them and they're taking the payment for that off my credit card. In my first and only claim with them so far, my truck was down and I had to put it in the shop, and CarShield took care of business. But my truck stayed in the shop a little bit longer than I thought it would stay there. I'm working seven days a week and it's a good thing that I had another truck. They got my truck fixed but I wish they could fix the customer’s vehicle a little bit faster and get it out before three or four weeks of staying in the shop. Other than that, I've had a good experience with CarShield. Their auto warranty is worth having and they do not cost me a bunch of money out of my pocket.

While searching for a warranty for a used vehicle I recently purchased, I decided to call CarShield after hearing Coach Ditka on tv and Chad Benson on the radio. Knowing celebrities are usually well compensated for endorsements I was very skeptical. I'm glad I did call Carshield! The personnel are very friendly and treat you like family! They are never "put out" by any questions you may have and answer them fast! They will also work out a comfortable payment plan and for the coverage provided, the price is very reasonable! I have successfully had a contract with this company for a previous vehicle. Payment plan was manageable and provided me with my goal of being able to drive my car (where I put on an excessive amount of miles for commuting for work) and be assured if any breakdown came along they would take care of the cost of the major repair. I did my part in making the payments as contracted and also kept the maintenance of my car up to good and recommended standard (nothing out of the ordinary)... This was successful for the first car I had and they took care of replace a transmission and also alternator.
My second car I picked up another contract with this company and their customer service was even better the second time around and they helped fit into a manageable payment plan that I knew was worth it. One breakdown did occur with my car and they took care of it promptly with the mechanic/service. All very successful and top notch.

Sent letter marked "IMPORTANT" and "Personal and Confidential Open Immediately" with no return address, in an effort into tricking me into thinking it was an important communication to get me to open it. Once I did, I realized it was spam/junk mail. I'm not sure how they got my address, but they are not affiliated with my auto dealer and I never requested a service contract. If they have shady marketing practices, I assume they also have shady service.

Purchased an extended warranty online 7/14 for a vehicle with 30 days to cancel. Called and canceled on 7/26/2017 with cancellation number **. Told a refund would be issued. No refund has been issued. Called back and was told to file a dispute with bank it would be faster. That is not right and I would like for you to issue a refund back to my debit card as the dispute process will take 120 days before I get my credit per the bank. Thank you.

I raced in the monsoon to the car shop to get my window fixed. Car Shield advised me on what steps to take to make an efficient claim.

The customer service of this company does not help at all. Call to cancel the policy and I did not want to cancel it. I had to close my bank account. Why not get the cancellation over the phone. I also did not get a refund, either. What they have done with me is a scam. Anyone ever sent me the policy. The only way I knew about them is when they sent me the notice of cancellation. Because they could not get the money out of the account that closed. Horrible my experience. I still send them messages by email and they never answered me either. If you do not want headaches, stay away from this company. Another thing they never told me that they sell third party policies.

I have a German car and it's a very complicated and expensive car. My friend was paying CarShield about $150 for his car, and it wasn't bad at all so I went for it. The payment comes out directly from my account, so I never made a late payment. At first the payments were pretty high, I told them that I knew some people who got the same policy for cheaper price and they worked with me on that. CarShield did cover me but it took a long time for them to do so. It lasted over two months and they didn't provide me with rental service. It was a hassle for them to pay for the whole thing. They expected me to pay out of my pocket and then they said they would reimburse me. But I told them that I don't trust them.
When I had some problems with my radio, I called them and they said they didn't cover it. I was upset because I thought they covered everything. I was paying about $4,000 for the coverage. Also, they gave me a leaking anti-freeze motor and I had to pay out of pocket after it was installed. But I don't know any information about the motor. I was hoping they would send me an email or paperwork so when I sell it in the future I can have that as a reference.

CarShield was suggested by the dealership that I bought the vehicle from. Purchasing the warranty was easy, seamless, very friendly and fast, and it was all-around a good experience. Making the payments, which I do online, was also easy. And when I filed a claim, I thought it was going to be complicated, but it was the exact opposite. It was super easy. I just called them, told them what was going on, and they went ahead and took the claim. Everything just took care of itself. Having the extended auto insurance policy is good and in the long run, it's worth it, and it takes the headache out of having to worry about getting the car worked on.

I'm a "new customer" to Car Shield - which is why I didn't (5 star it yet) - as I haven't had the opportunity to use the service yet. I've been reading some of the comments / reviews on the Consumer Affairs web page, and most people are satisfied with this company. It's a little irritating that you have to WAIT 30 DAYS before you can use the service, (not saying that my car has issues - yet - as it doesn't), however, they should make it to where it's available immediately - not after 30 days. I received a good payment deal (both down payment & monthly payment for the next 24 months - so they do work with you there budget wise), however the 30 day wait is a bother unfortunately. I take care of my vehicle - service it every 3 months - but still, one never knows what could happen in the midst of that wait. Car Shield - please consider CHANGING that rule of yours! Thank you.

CarShield is a total rip off. Everything which has gone wrong with our truck was conveniently not covered by our contract. Read fine print and read what causes transmissions to fail. If you have a leaky gasket and it goes into your transmission, that is on you!!! Transmission is not covered. I wish I would have saved my money. They are totally taking people's money.

The extended warranty that I had when I purchased the vehicle had expired and it was in my best interest to continue having a warranty. The specialist at CarShield explained the benefits when I purchased my warranty and making payments was no problem. A few months ago, repairs were needed to the vehicle and I contacted them to inquire about having the repairs done. My experience with them is excellent. It's better than I expected and I’ve already recommended them to a number of people.

The experience was simple and painless. One minor complaint was when I originally called to use my warranty for a repair. I got a recording stating their hours began at 7 am but was not able to get someone to answer the phone until 9 am. After that every one I spoke with was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the process. The place where my car got repaired stated that Car Shield was a great warranty company to deal with. I had expected that other items that needed to be replaced because of the failure of the covered item would be covered also but they were not. In their defense, after rereading the what is covered section of the warranty it stated they would not be covered.

I called and scheduled an appointment with my local dealer to fix my sunroof that was stuck open. When I arrived to get checked in, I handed them my extended warranty pamphlet, signed on the line and walked out. They called and got approvals, and estimates and called me later that day with my options. I never had to argue or disagree with anything they said. It was clean and simple, and in my busy schedule, that's a HUGE benefit!

When I first bought my Honda Accord, I had a warranty from the dealer and a warranty of my own. However, when my AC broke down, I took it to them and they never helped me do any work on it. It was supposed to be under warranty and I have warranty with some other company they gave me. I was paying too much with them, but they never fixed the car. They even charged me $73 just to change one light bulb, but the light bulb was nothing but $4 and some change. I told them I wasn't going to keep my warranty with them and decided to go with CarShield for my Volkswagen Jetta. The reps at CarShield were wonderful. I had some noise with my AC one day and had their number. I talked to one of the dealers close to where I live and the company took care of my service. Everything was great.

I was driving the truck one day and it sounded funny. It started shaking and I thought I hit something. My truck only had 94,000 miles on it and the motor went out. I didn’t think the motor was going out, so I had it towed to the dealership. The dealership called me the next day and said the motor was gone. I told them I’ll call CarShield and see if the case is on the warranty. CarShield told me that they'll send somebody down to look at my vehicle which took a few days. The guy that came out told me that they need to oil change dates. I told them that I have my own shop and I change my own oil.
Then, I had to wait for somebody to come look at it, probably going to fix it, then wait for the dealership to tear the motor down to find what’s wrong with it inside. They told me that one of the valves has lost compression and nobody knows why it happened. I was then out of a car for a month before they decided to pick it. I also had to borrow a car. They told me that if they deny my claim I'm going to have to pay $1500 to tear it down, and I agreed. The way they said it was like I did something to the motor to make it go out. It's ridiculous. But they ended up paying for it. Then when the dealership told them what’s it going to cost them to put it back together, they decided they're now going to go get a crate motor, which they should have done in the first place. That would've saved a whole of time and effort.

I have had my vehicle in the shop for 2 days now waiting to have to air conditioner replaced. Each time a call is made someone else answers and then less is covered. The representatives have been rude and will say they will call you back, then don't. They now are saying that they won't cover more than half the parts needed to fix my air conditioner let alone the fact that I have had to pay out for a rental since they won't call people back. My vehicle has been in the shop since yesterday morning and won't be back today either. What kind of company says they will cover things then doesn't. 2 time that parts have been sent then in told they won't cover the parts needed. It went from me just paying the deductible to paying for the whole job to be done at the shop.

My old car’s old and it no longer has a warranty so I got CarShield. When they sold the policy, I disagreed about its details. I’m a little bit upset because the main part of my car was not really covered. When I had my engine messed up, they only covered a certain part of the engine. I called and asked them why they only fixed a part of it. That’s not fair, but I just wanna fix the part. I ended up paying half of it and they paid the other part. Right now, they need to change those. I just wanna make it fair to every customer. I wish I almost cancel my policy and my agreement. But I wanna wait and see if it happens again then I would change it and go to another company. It’s okay overall.

Purchased extended warranty thru CarShield. Paid approximately 3500$ for warranty listed in my brother's name. The car had an issue. Went to a certified GMC dealer. They verified that this was covered under the warranty. The company that CarShield had placed the insurance with was Marathon. After many failed attempts and the service dept. being talked to rudely, we had to intervene. CarShield stated that they no longer worked with this company they know they were not paying on justified claims.
However at no time did CarShield notify their customers of this issue. So basically we bought a piece of paper worth nothing. Marathon is being investigated by federal authorities ie; insurance commission for such acts. CarShield stated they would "pro rate" a refund however they knew for some time about this issue and should refund their customers fully for they kept this information from the consumer. I would NEVER purchase a warranty from them EVER!!!

Wheel Bearing replacement Cadillac SRX - Coverage was there when I needed it. Easy transaction, they dealt directly with the service department and all I was responsible for was the $100 deductible. Took the car to the garage, gave the service department the insurance number to call and that was it.

Hard sell led me to report the mileage on our truck from memory. When I later checks I discovered that I had significantly overstated the mileage. It took numerous phone calls and nearly thirty days to get a corrected contract. It's corrected now.
We do apoligize for the delay. When we update miles the administrator needs to re-write a new contract. That is why we let our customer's know it takes 7-10 business days to receive it in the mail.

Someone called me after I've had the car for a year and placed me with CarShield. The lady we spoke with was very lovely. However, I found out later after getting five hundred million calls from other people, that it wasn’t Subaru’s policy. She said she was representing Subaru. They all say that but I didn’t realize that because we have not lived in the United States for that long and purchased a new car. However, I was very happy that I had the program when I had a problem. I filed a claim with CarShield for the air conditioning. My car had less than 20,000 miles on it and the compressor went out. When I took it to Subaru, they said I’ve got the best company there is with CarShield because they know them and CarShield is very good about their claims and to their people. We had an excellent experience and if I get another car, I wouldn’t feel bad about using them again because they are highly regarded by Subaru.

I've owned several vehicles and have never purchased an extended warranty outside of what the dealer offered. CarShield was the first one ever and figured like most warranties it would be a waste of my money and I would never use it. Well I was completely wrong. I've had the extended warranty a little over half a year I believe and the air compressor on my car died.
I called customer service to find out what would be covered and how quickly I could have the work done. Customer Service rep answered all my questions and what she said would happen did. I took the vehicle to a certified mechanic, they called CarShield to have the work needed done approved and they did immediately over the phone.
Once I brought the vehicle back to have the work done, the mechanic's billing person raved about how quickly CarShield paid the bill and that was one of the best warranty companies they had ever dealt with. As a single mom and someone that works Midnight shift a reliable car is very important. Knowing that I have this extended warranty brings great peace of mind.

Everyone I came in contact with was very Polite. I think people should sign up for a contract to protect their car and their wallets and save money. I have not experience not have a car to ride if something would happen to it and I can't afford to pay.
