Had no problems with Car Shield but wasn’t on long enough to use them because I sold my truck. So I’m grateful I didn’t have any breakdowns with my truck but sure they would of been there for me from what I have here, ty.

I was very disappointed in your guys' coverage. You won't cover diagnosis unless it's a part that is covered in the warranty. For example if I had a check engine light on and I brought it in to get checked out you won't cover the payment for the check engine light unless it was a part that was covered by the warranty. I find this very troubling and frustrating as a customers. Assume a car warranty It's gonna cover check engine lights.
That's correct. We can only cover diagnostics if it's a covered component. That is how all extended coverage works. It would not make sense for us to cover diagnosis on something that isn't covered. If you have any other questions or concerns, do not hesitate to give us a call.

I inquired as to whether brakes and brake replacements were covered under my policy. The lady was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and most of all polite. Customer service was the best I experienced in a long long time. I really am happy with CarShield.

The brake light come on my pickup truck and I took it to the dealer and it said the brake sensor module had went bad. They had to put a new brakes into module on for me. I am happy with the CarShield. They took care of what needed to be done. Thank you.

Contract says parts and labor will be covered. My car was at the dealership, Car Shield reduced the amount of covered price and hence I had to pay more out of pocket. Same for the labor. After market/Korean parts were offered by the car shield which BMW dealers think are not suitable per BMw standards. Contract does not say dealer's parts will not be covered.
The contract does state that we replace parts with new, used, remanufactured parts of like kind and quality. It also explains that all prices will be verified per nationally recognized labor guides, as we do not pay overcharged prices. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.

It's was a great experience, just didn't need it right now. So I was refunded, thank you for your help and coverage! I would recommend Car Shield to all of my friends and family. And I will always tell everyone about how great this company is and that they NEED to get their vehicles covered through Car Shield. There is no other way to have your car covered and protected than through Car Shield!!

The representative I spoke with knew exactly what I needed to complete,.dealing with payments. We have not used Car Shield as yet. It won't go into effect until the 22nd of this month. We are not anxious to use Car Shield but we are glad to have it if and when we need it. We plan to keep coverage from Car Shield as long as we can afford it.

Roadside Protect Daponte. He was great. Connected with Pop A Lock. In less than a 1/2 hour car up and running. CarShield is one the best investments I made, saving many big bucks. The customer service is top notch.

It was very Helpful when I need it and help to save money on repairs but something that I don't like is some time I have to put money from my pocket because they don't want to pay for the total of the repairs from the dealer.
Sorry to hear there may have been confusion about your coverage. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. Thank you for having such wonderful customer service representatives. I wanted to pay for my account, but could not sign into my account. I was first transferred to settle my payments then went to customer service to reset my password, after a few times, my mistakes, I was able to set up my account and can now use my email to log in, much easier than typing in my account number. Both representatives were very understanding and helpful.

I was impressed that Car Shield communicated and worked with the shop that I took my car to. They also answered my questions efficiently. Despite the non diagnostics and labor that was not included with the coverage, Car shield took care of what I needed covered on my car. I'm happy with the service.

I received a quick response from Car Shield, once my repair shop contacted them. Car Shield approved the repair and explained the deductible. Of the almost $1000 bill my out of pocket was less than $200. Glad I had Car Shield.

My engine light came on and in a few days it went out on its own. Service center advised to keep an eye on it. Service center advised they couldn't check the light when it was not lit. I should bring the car back when the light was on. I am keeping an eye on it. Thanks for your help.

Good morning, my complaint is that I canceled my prescription with Car Shield and they never wrote it down so they were still charging me. So I called yesterday. They finally did it. I called today to see if I could get a refund. The lady was very rude. I mean rude, will over talk to me, wouldn’t let me talk. She wanted to be the one speaking in that letting the customer talk. Well, you know what - that’s my money, not theirs. I want it back and I’m gonna file a lawsuit if they don’t do what they have to do so watch out, Car Shield is a rip-off.

I had a few doubts, I'm a naturally skeptical guy. Kept paying my monthly subscription. I needed a new engine and Car Shield came through BIG TIME!!!! Took care of all part and labor fees. I just had to pay my small deductible ($100). Imagine.... this was a $5k job. Not even a week later my started needed to be replaced. Car Shield took care of it. I tell everyone I know to get Car Shield asap. You will regret it if you don't... Trust me.

Ad said all high tech equipment was covered but the fine print excluded the forward camera. I wouldn’t have bought the warranty if I had noticed that restriction! The new technology reliability was my main concern when I purchased my car and I purchased the CarShield Warranty.

I had 2 flat tires. Called for a tow and the driver showed up fairly quickly. Rescued me and got me to tire store that's open on a Sunday during a major blizzard. Heroic! Got all new tires and am good to go.

I have only needed to use CarShield once thank goodness. This was for a roadside assistance that was a nightmare really. I noticed a tire was low almost flat. I called roadside assistance. I was advised to drive with a almost flat tire to a company listed as a roadside assistance station. I arrive and it is closed on Saturdays. Luckily I was able to make it to my parents' home and use their car until I could find a tire shop to repair the tire when they were opened. Being disabled I felt uncomfortable leaving the car at the shop recommended over the weekend and attempt to walk 5 miles home. This was the only issue and only time I used them. It is expensive but knowing that they were there did make driving less stressful. Roadside not so much.

Transmission lines need a repair. They did a great job. Thank you. Front annular lines need a replacing. After replacing lines they flushed my whole transmission reservoir which was a separate fee but it was worth it. The car runs great.

The dealer actually threw down the keys and told me to go somewhere else. I've had to go to a town 30 miles away to get my car repaired via CarShield. Other mechanics in Hutchinson also will not work on the car because it is covered by Car Shield.
Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 17 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $5 million in claims every month. Still waiting for approval for my repairs and in the meantime, I'm driving a rental car, while my repairs are being taken care of. The dealership keeps in contact with me and for what my repairs are. I think Carshield is pretty reasonable.

Took my car to the dealership. All my lights were on and remote start wasn't working. The car went through several diagnostic tests and they were able to find the cause. Car worked perfectly, was finally able to get it inspected, all covered by CarShield. One call is all it took to take away the fear of an exorbitant repair cost. If I didn't have CarShield, I wouldn't have been able to drive my car.

Replaced compressor and paid for evac/recharge freon but would not cover replacing evaporate/dryer... service tech recommended it. Overall pleased with first time using the service. Glad I had it.. Regular repair would have been over $2000. Only had to pay $100 deductible. Thank you.

We switched from the Gold Plan to the Aluminum Plan because it was more appropriate for our vehicle and provided more coverage that the Gold plan did not include. Malikah was able to successfully switch us from the Gold to the Aluminum in a matter of minutes.

We had a nail in our back tire and Car Shield paid for all of the bill of $458.00. All we had to pay was $100. They saved us money for the tire because we didn't have the money to pay the bill. Thanks Car Shield. EULA

I was concerned about the reviews I read about CarShield and contacted another warranty company and the information they gave about Carshield was alarming and how much better they rated than Carshield. As my grandmother used to say, "it's a poor frog who doesn't praise his own pond." After speaking with a Carshield representative my fears were put to rest. Although I haven't yet submitted a claim, I feel confident that I will receive the service as advertised.

Car failed in traffic. Was towed about 1/4 mile to one of your recommended garages. Evaluation proved alternator as the source of problem. After receiving your permission to proceed, they replaced the alternator. They recharged the battery and the car was back in running order.

Ford was able to contact quickly and had a service claim started. I was contacted a few days later from CS and told my service request was approved. I liked that. If I have anymore problems with my Explorer I will CarShield again as they are there to respond in full.

It was a very long process and I was given to other people 4 times before we were thru. We have a 2015 Chevy Impala, that has 33 thousand miles on it and we are 78 years old. They said I need to put 500 miles on the car before it’s covered. We may put 15 miles a week on the car and now we have to take a trip somewhere just so we can have your insurance. Not very fair to us.
We apologize if you feel this way. We do go over the waiting period with you on the initial phone call and also send you the policy. This is just a short time frame to make sure that the vehicle is in good working condition to help prevent people from signing up with pre-existing conditions. Had car towed to one of the stations Car Shield recommended. The car needed a new battery which I found out they do not cover. Was charged over $323.00 which is absurd. Car Shield should only use repair shops that will provide service at reasonable rates for their customers.
Unfortunately, we are a nationwide service and there are hundreds of thousands of individually owned shops around the country. We have no way of knowing exactly which ones will and will not accurately charge prices per nationally recognized labor guides. I need a claim with CarShield and the lady that called me back told me that I was approved for my repairs. I get a call from another lady saying I'm not approved. I went through the whole book and did not say nothing about my starter not being covered. When I signed up the people were so nice and helpful and want to do everything they could for me but then I made a claim and it was like a 360. They were rude, disrespectful, not trying to help. I believe that this is a legal scam to get people to pay for insurance that they can never use. Everyone else I have spoke to about this company says the same thing - scam. So if I was you stay away because they're not going to pay you like they say they do. They don't cover anything. They will find a reason why not to pay you.

My car is 23 yrs and I have decided to not pay for large coverage of my Baby girl, she's been good to me and I would hate to lose her but there is no reason to continue to pay for coverage when there is rust on the trunk the door's the hood and I can peel with my hand the rust with the hold in it on the bottom, it was dragging the cement and I had to pull it off.... Now I know that it's what's inside that counts BUT and I can wait, but being a widow I need to put all my coins together to prepare for that, I was quite pleased with CarShield and hope to possibly return one day.

Rip off the company, failed to fix my alternator on my car that I pay monthly for insurance extended warranty. The company our mechanic have different opinions, American Warranty is a rip off, and refuse to fix my car. I do not recommend this company to anyone, including my family and friends.
We are sorry to hear this. We did look into your claim and it looks like the reason for the breakdown was dirt/debris, which is an external cause of failure, not an internal mechanical breakdown. We also show that there is a long-term seepage/leak that has been there for a while, and continuing to drive with a leak like that can cause further damage to the vehicle. There is a listed exclusion in your contract that explains that continued operation of a vehicle with a mechanical breakdown would not be eligible for coverage. Cooler replaced. The repair shop called to verify the part and was told the part is less expensive than the part they recommend. The repairman said the part recommended is better than the part CarShield approved and may need to replace it again later. The person the repairperson spoke to was not very nice and need to be more nice. I don't understand why Car shield does not cover Cadillac Converter. I was very disappointed. I am very curious about why. I called and the customer service said it was Federal related. I didn't understand that. I still need an explanation why Cadillac Coverter is not covered.
I will continue to check back with the Customer Service Depart. That was a big expense to pay when I should be able to get it repaid with coverage. I would like to complain to a manager about the dissatisfaction. I requested for coverage book to be mailed to me so I look at all the coverages. I feel it is very misleading to deal with problems like this. Why items like that are not covered.
Unfortunately, catalytic converters are emissions-related items that are regulated differently by each individual state and county and therefore can not be covered by extended coverage. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.

Ok, where to start. A couple of weeks ago I was driving home from work on a major highway here in NY. The Meadowbrook Parkway to be exact and I got a flat tire while driving. Not that it was flat when I started driving but a flat while driving and the car pulled to the right which made me jump the curb. The flat got fixed by replacing the wheel with my spare. A few days later on my way home from work all of my suspension warning lights came on when I was close to home. I consulted my policy with US Carshield and proceeded to file a claim looking that my suspension was covered. I bring it to my mechanic and we get everything rolling on the repairs. Today my mechanic called me and told me that US Carshield isn't going to cover it because it is a collision issue and that I have to take it up with my liability insurance company.
Now my liability insurance told me that since I did not collide with another vehicle or any structure and it was a mechanical issue that caused the problem it was up to US Carshield to cover it. Needless to say both were giving me the runaround and I have to pay for the $2500 in repairs my self. So tell me why do we pay for stuff like this when all they do is collect your money once a month and fight you for what is due. I am by far no genius but I do know the laws of physics that state when you are traveling at any rate of speed and that if you flat tire all of a sudden your car is going to pull to the side where the flat is and cause in my case significant damage to my suspension. So in conclusion this company is preying on the fears of the masses but when their car is going to break down and rip you off of everyone's hard earned money for nothing.
We do apologize, however, getting a flat tire is a road hazard issue, not an internal mechanical breakdown, and the flat tire is what caused the issue. Damage caused by a flat tire and you running over a curb would not be eligible for coverage under mechanical breakdown coverage. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.

Only problem I had was that the tow company billed the dealer instead of me directly so I have no invoice to be reimbursed. Even though the charge was on the dealer invoice I need the tow company's charge separately.

Customer service reps are very nice but they cannot correct the mileage. Mileage was not entered correctly initially. Since the delay is so long I am worried that they will never correct it which is unacceptable. Why would it take mote than 14 days to process a correction. It took two seconds to collect my money. I am beyond disappointed. All I want is results.
We do apologize, however, that is just the time frame for this process. Sometimes, customers try to update mileage to "get around" the waiting period, so they are just doing their due diligence to make sure the mileage update is correct.

I signed up with Car Shield in January 2023. I was told that after I paid 110.00 it would take an additional 20 days and another 500 miles driven before my warranty would become active. My check engine light came on after another 2000 miles and car shield has not to date decided whether to approve the repair. They will not approve repairs without a history of service repairs.
We do show that you filed a claim very quickly after exiting the waiting period, so service records were asked to verify the vehicle's mileage and ensure it has been properly maintained to rule out any maintenance issues from being the cause of failure. We show the bill of sale was received on Friday, so an adjuster should be reaching out to you today with the steps on how to proceed.

I really appreciate how professional, respectful, polite, friendly and Courteous the representative was with Me. I might’ve ask her the question more than once, but every time I did, the question was answered with extreme patience and respect. And once I fully understood what I needed. I was even asked am I sure. That kind of courteousness just don’t exist in this day and time, or at least I thought. But when a person treats you with understanding and politeness over the phone it does something to you and makes you feel like things are going to be okay.

Called to find out if my car was covered for maintenance I needed but they said because of the age, what was needed to be fixed wasn't covered. I need more coverage for my car. It is sad when you still have a good running car and you don't want to trade it in for a lower mileage one just because it has high mileage to get good coverage.

The 3 stars is because I had a turbo failure on my Range Rover, the claim was denied. I paid $5000. When I called back to find out why I was told it was a covered component. The person said they did not know why the shop was told it was not covered and it showed denied at CARSHIELD. So I dropped that car and kept the policy on the BMW. NOT GOOD. The customer service has always been excellent! The customer service rep today was great, I'd I'd let her know it took 33 minutes to handle the call. She was so nice it really didn't matter.

When my repair was finished, CarShield paid the auto repair shop right away and as soon as my car was repaired, I was able to leave. When I initially dropped my car off for repairs, I was told sometimes car protection plans can take up to a week before, the shop is paid and in which case, I would have to leave my car there and get a ride home, but car shield paid the shop right away and I didn’t have to wait. As soon as the repairs were finished on my car, the shop notified me that car shield had paid and I was ready to go.

Upon receiving a diagnosis of what needed repair it took several days before the repairs were authorized, then several days for the parts to be delivered and the car to be repaired. Fortunately CarShield authorized a rental car allowance which I only used for a couple of days. I suspect my experience is typical so it would have been helpful for the customer service reps to have alerted me to the time needed to process a claim with advisement re car rental benefits to cover the time needed.

Front left and right wheel bearing. They decided not to cover all of the fix when requested by the mechanic. This was not added on the the fix until after since it was missed on the initial check. Did not want to help on fix saying it. Not part of claim and not covered.

Had no problems with having the air conditioner replaced, works great and no problems. It was on my 2002 ford f150. Only paid my deductible of $250 at that time. Just found out it's now $100. Used my service people and they made the contact with CarShield. All I had to do was take the truck in to get it fixed. Not bad for only paying $60 a month for the warranty from CarShield.

My experience is CarShield and American Auto Shield was Godsend. Nick was very courteous with me first calling earlier in the morning and realizing the time, called me back later at nine thirty or thereabouts. He explained everything and the process to my satisfaction and understanding. After that Ryan call back on the same claim and was told that I had already received the call from Nick and she proceeded to confirm the things Nick had said to me earlier. The Audio System Screen was flashing and making random selections.The radio stations would jump back and forth. Then it would freeze up and you could not use any function on the screen. Auto Nation Chevrolet replace the Auto System with a factory part.

Leak driveshaft seals. The repair was COVERED under the policy and paid over half of the entire bill!! Shop dealt direct with Carshield to get approval then did the work. I was impressed with all aspects of the process. This policy is drive train only, so we are strongly considering getting the full coverage policy on our other vehicle with lower miles.

I was sold on the policy that if something was wrong with my engine you would cover cover it 100%, however I should have read the contract because even though you said that the contract States otherwise it's very misleading when you tell the customer you cover the engine no matter what and then turn around and then contract put that you only cover about half the parts and then you tell the customer they have to pay for the teardown work to the vehicle so that you can cover one part. That is not the way it should be. I will never recommend you to anybody else and I will never ever be a customer again.
That is unfortunate and sorry we couldn't help. We do go over what is covered with you on the initial phone call and also send you the policy. We can only cover the parts listed on your policy. Hopefully we can help with your next repair.

Driver and Passenger door lock actuators were not working, took the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership evaluated and determined the door lock actuators were both bad, so a claim was presented to CarShield and the parts were ordered and agreed to be paid for by CarShield. The dealer repaired and all is in working order and dealership has been paid. A very good experience for all!!!

My transmission went out on my 2018 Ford F-150. I took it to one of your authorized repair shops. On Tuesday I agree on an amount to get the transmission fixed but the work did not start. Later that day the amount changed. I called and agreed to pay another amount only to get to the end of the next day and find out that the amount had changed again. Each time the amount I had to pay out of pocket went up. Now I am on the second week without my truck. This is unacceptable.

Replacement of front windshield. Technician was on time and he did an excellent installation! He also answered all questions. The next day technician texted me to remind not to go to a high pressured Car Wash for the next 24 hours. Also any tape left on vehicle may be removed.

My service representative at my dealership had cleared work to be done on my 2013 Camry. He had called into CarShield twice to make sure the cost of the work would be covered. He was told to set the date for the repair, on that date he was to call in with the mileage and the date. When he called to give that data, he was informed that the parts and repairs on my vehicle would not be covered due to the fact that the parts had not 'failed'. Car Shields' definition of part failure was NOT defined in the contract we had been paying on for 3 years.
Failure, according to CarShield, for this part, is defined as the deterioration of the bushing at the linkage connection at the end of the part. This bushing has absolutely no function aside from providing a cushion preventing the connecting parts from impacting each other during normal operations. The part in question was no longer able to perform its primary function due to age and use (which is what we purchase Car Shield for in the first place). So 'failure' as defined by pretty much the entire mechanical community - defined as the inability to perform a primary function - is not how Car Shield CHOOSES to define failure.
I escalated from the customer service representative to a supervisor who proceeded to insult my intelligence, by asking if I had read my contract agreement, even going so far as to tell me where to find the specific exclusions to repair coverage for the part in question. I responded by asking him if the part was non-functional, how could that not constitute operational failure. He had no answer. I told him that we would be cancelling our coverage immediately. A non-operational part is a failed part. Do not insult your customers and expect to retain them. DO NOT BUY THIS INSURANCE. Even my service guy dislikes this company.

The Check Engine Light appeared on my ML350 Mercedes Benz vehicle screen. A Transmission notice also appeared on the screen, indicating that the car could not be placed in gear and that it was in danger of rolling away, even though I had it in park. It took several attempts before it would start. I called CarShield to verify if my Mercedes Benz of White Plains dealer had contacted them, because I had brought the vehicle in to the dealer for service and they had indicated that they would contact CarShield. The CarShield customer service representatives were very polite, cordial, professional, and informative, when asked if these problems were covered by my Diamond contract. They confirmed that the services were covered.

Just know when car is getting repaired in order to receive a rental. The repair time it takes to fix, would need to be over 4 hours. If the repair is less than that they won't help with a rental. My car is getting repaired in full which is amazing but the part will take a week to ship to dealership and then they will be able to repair it. Definitely will account this in the future of how I will need to find a ride or another way of transportation during this time for week, school and shopping for food.

Car Shield is saying that my problem was preexisting. How can it be pre existence when it wasn't diagnosed with a problem. I am not a mechanic to diagnose anything. Just because it was driving slow in January doesn't mean it is transmission. I was going by what my fiancé said. Next time I won't say a word. They are not keeping their word.

Call to cancel my policy due to getting too expensive in this high inflation. And other pastor bills, we made the decision to cancel however when I called and spoke with Lisa, she offered me a lower price on my policy and made it more reasonable to purchase and keep my policy by reducing my policy of $20. It's been a while since I made that claim so I do not remember many of the specifics, but I recall that when I needed the car to be serviced, the claim process was relatively difficult, and the same was reported to me by the service center at Pinebelt Chevy.

Do give this company your money. Customer service is horrible, their service is horrible. I paid 133.00 for two years then 94.99 for 2 years for absolutely nothing. My car broke down. Was in shop for over 7 months. They did everything. They could not even pay the diagnostics when had the car towed. I still had to pay 100.09 just even pick up my car. Do not trust this company. It’s a scam completely.

I had questioned a charge to my account by another merchant. Part of resolving the issue was to issue me a new card and account number. When your company, as authorized by me, tried to sweep the payment amount my bank declined.... As soon as I was notified I made good on the payment.

On January 16th I requested service for a tow truck. Everything went well, except when the tow truck arrived the driver informed me I wasn't going to be able to ride along because their company wasn't allowing customers to ride with them due to COVID. Therefore, I had to incur cost for a rideshare. In the future, please ask tow companies if drivers can accompany the driver or not. Customers need to know ahead of time if there is going to be a cost involved.
On this specific occasion, the experience was good. This is why I gave it a rating of 4 stars. Overall, not so much. On this same occasion, I had my car towed to the dealership. Now, to make a long story short, I told the car advisor I had a warranty. He informed me if I wanted to get back home that same day (I was in San Antonio, TX and I live in Austin, TX) I would not be able to use the warranty. He tells me it's about a 2-3 day process: calls the warranty company, the rep comes the following day ( generally), receives the information from the rep the next day, and then the work can begin on the 3rd day. And to wait three days, to be told the repairs are not covered, is unacceptable!!! I ended up paying $1697 so I could get home that same day.
First, no one has 2-3 days for a rep to come out to view the repairs of your vehicle. When your car is not working you need it back as soon as possible, especially if you're out of town. A better process would be for the advisor/mechanic to call Credit Shield and state what repairs are needed, and Credit Shield could let the advisor/mechanic know right then whether or not those repairs or covered.
Second, if I am having to pay $1697 and I pay Credit Shield approximately $900/yr (for which most times I am having to pay out pocket), then I might as well save the money I'm giving to Credit Shield and not have to worry if the repairs are going to be covered. At the end of my contract, I will not be using Credit Shield any longer.
